I was there 2 weeks ago. I really enjoyed my time there. It's worth to go there for all day long like I did. It's a perfect place to Relax and everyone find something. During a day they have a lot of different activities.for example 3x per day you can try some face mask. There is a restaurant, food was tasty and bar outside with nice cocktails. All place is nice and clean.
Kinga Golik — Google review
Busy place. Nice, but packed. Varying temperature and brine pools, nice selection of indoor/outdoor pools with a healthy selection of jets. Added bonus steamrooms downstairs and upstairs. Regular aquatics classes and facial packs a nice bonus. Friendly cleaning staff, but sadly she can't be everywhere at once during peak hours, because cleanliness needs attention with these masses. Attentive lifeguard staff, ample lockers and parking.

Great! Clean, warm, comfortable waters. Only adults inside; very relaxing experience. Will come for the 3d time soon :)

I come for the saunas and cold plunge a d return because of everything else. Again and again. Simply great! There's restaurants too and a bar!

My first stay was pleasant when I came back almost half a year later, the sauna staff was unfriendly and rude..their credo: my way or the highway.. I won’t come again.

This was easily one of the main highlights of my trip to Germany. I went once during the day and once in the evening - during the day it’s busier but fantastic, and the evening is relaxing and romantic. The prices are fair, the baths are plenty, and I would highly recommend coming here. One of the best spa towns in Germany!
Maximilian Specht — Google review
Great spa! We spent 10 hours here and the day just flew by. Interestingly the sauna area is a naked zone and not gender separated so you can enjoy it with your partner. Restaurant was nice as well and very reasonable. Definitely get the full day pass when you come

4.5 stars out of 5
The spa is large and complex. I also recommend entering Sauna Land. However, it is best to prepare a bathrobe or 2 towels, because of the cold outside and possible drying of the body. Be prepared for it from Sauna Land is rather nudist for reasons of hygiene. The selection of saunas is huge and the complex is new and nicely built.
Slippers with you 😉 or it is possible to buy/rent everything on the spot.

I was surprised to see robot waiters

All time favourite!!! I am a regular customer here… not all the staffs are friendly but you will have a good time inside.. sophisticated and well maintained pools.

Very nice and relaxing place.

The ibis Bamberg Altstadt is a basic, laid-back hotel located in the heart of Bamberg. It offers complimentary Wi-Fi and a 24-hour snack bar. The city of Bamberg features an imposing cathedral and many picturesque buildings with an authentic medieval appearance. Day trips to the cities of Nuremberg and Wurzburg are also very recommendable.
Near the old town and walking distance from train station. Price-quality wise really good. Peaceful and clean place. There are good restaurants nearby too. Friendly and helpful staff.

Sweet little hotel with a very friendly personal and a nice view from the 4th floor! Perfect for visiting Bamberg for a few days or just a weekend. The location couldn’t be better - it’s in the heart of the city and still very quiet.
Georgi Gialamas — Google review
The hotel at the centre of Bamberg. The furnitures is quite old and the extra bed was broken. The underground parking was big enough but it was quite expensive.
Catherine HKI — Google review
Overall it is a nice hotel in a great location within walking distance to some great sights and places to eat. Hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious with a comfy bed, BUT there was a very strong sewer smell in the bathroom and the shower was small and in a triangular shape so it was difficult to have a shower.
I would stay again
A Google User — Google review
My husband and I arrived, during Christmas Market time. The concierge's name was Abdullah, who was very professional, personable and helpful. This hotel was close to the festivities and had underground parking. Parking fee was $20 euro for the parking, which was convenient not trying to find parking elsewhere or the possibility of walking long distances, with suitcases. The room and bathroom were very clean, location mostly quiet (in the middle of the night, there were people smoking and speaking loudly outside, which wasn't the hotel's fault), beds and pillows were comfortable and the temperature pleasant. If one didn't want to eat at the hotel, Cafe Luitpold was nearby with a delicious, fresh and nutritious breakfast. If we would travel again to Bamberg, we would consider this hotel again.
Kelly Robichaud — Google review
Located at the heart of the city, definitely worth to be there if you plan to explore around. Service there is good, reasonable breakfast options, so have at it and get out to explore!
Leandro Prata — Google review
I stayed in this hotel for three nights and the staff was friendly during my stay. The room they gave me was spacious, but basically equipped, which is common for Ibis hotels. The bathroom was tiny and the holder for the shower head was broken, so it was uncomfortable to have a shower. The WIFI was fast and I liked the quiet location of the hotel not directly on the main shopping/entertainment street.
Thomas Dafinger — Google review
The only modern/budget hotel in the old town. Ask for rooms facing the street side (better view) and ending in 15 or 19 (larger). Not the best Ibis shower that I know (they're generally excellent), the shower floor levels with the bathroom (don't wash too enthusiastically), and there's a GREY shower curtain that doesn't let light it (now that's a first-timer!).
HERM PAZ — Google review
This is our 2nd time visiting this Hotel. Would recommend as everything was done to make a comfortable stay. The staff were excellent. Cannot fault the Hotel.
Marion hill — Google review
The central location is by far the best feature is this Ibis Bamberg Altstadt - you are just five minutes waking from Altes Rathaus, in the heart of the old town. The installations are very clean and functional. The bathroom is extremely small and they charge for the subterranean parking, which is something I didn’t see in the website. But anyway, in terms of cost benefit, it is definitely well worth.
Flavio Pimentel — Google review
Hotel doesn’t have Internet despite promising so during booking process. Rooms are old and bathroom looks like a hospital room
Juergen W — Google review
Everything was great here!!! Breakfast, Clean rooms, quiet warm place, park for additional Euros, but not much. Excellent Staff service as they are very nice and kind.
The location is another great item, very close to the most popular city tourist attractions.
I do recommend it.
The Altes Rathaus, a renowned historical building and porcelain museum is located in Hanover, Germany. Constructed in 1410, it was the first town hall to be built in the city's old district. Following severe bomb attacks during World War II, it underwent restoration from 1953-1964.
Absolutely stunning building, an absolute must see when in Bamberg. Usually quite busy so best to go early in the morning, but at any time it’s lovely to admire the lovely old architecture!

What a majestic and historic place! This rathaus is located at the heart of the city of Bamberg. The building was renovated in 1461. Also the mural painted on the wall was done in 1960. Must visit tourist place in Bamberg.
Sourav Bhowmik — Google review
In history, first mentioned was built in 1387 and it was rebuilt between 1461 to 1467 and 1744 to 1756 by Johann Jakob Michael Küchenl. The façade was originally painted and created by Johann Anwander in 1755 and restored so many times, but in 1959 it was repainted again by Anton Greiner.
It was stated in the history that the Bishop of Bamberg (that time) doesn't want to give any of his land to the citizens, then the citizen built on an artificial small island along river stream Linker Regnitzarm that marks between episcopal mountain town and bourgeois island town.
Now, it is part of UNESCO World Heritage and one of the iconic landmarks in Bamberg that throng of tourists passes by here just to have pictures of the wonderful and meaningful Old Town Hall.
A lots of coffee shops, pub, hotel and souvenirs surrounds it.
A worth and informative visit in this place.

very beautiful historical building. the murals on the outside of the building are vibrant and breath taking. the view from the bridge connecting the rathaus to land is also beautiful, just like in a postcard photo. not too many tourists if you go during the week.

This place is full of historical buildings and amazing to visit. Lots of little shops and restaurants close by.
Nathan Brinkerhoff — Google review
Absolutely stunning piece of architecture and the most historical building in Bamberg. Completely full with wonderful detailed paintings on the outside wall. Built over an arch bridge, the location is really beautiful. The river flows by and a chain of bridges located next adds more to its beauty, from where you can admire the building. It is mostly crowded and if you need a solo picture of the Rathaus or yourself then you have to come in the early hours of the morning.
Animesh Kumar — Google review
Really beautiful architecture and paintings. Definitely worth a visit if you ask me 🐻😊👌🌟
Unfortunately I can’t read German, otherwise I’m sure it has lots of interesting history to tell their visitors 🏯🤓📚
If you don’t like crowds you should consider a visit though… popular among tourists, like me ☺️, for sure 📸🤳🏿

One of the best attractions in Bamberg city. The altes Rathhaus is located in the heart of city. One can easily spend 2-3 hours here, as there are also some other attractions nearby.
Kruti Kahar — Google review
One of the main tourist attractions in Bamberg - worth seeing but timing is the essence!
Beautiful building with stunning exterior façade, very busy during the day as people are just passing by and there are also way too many restaurants in the proximity of the building having seating all the way up to the entrance. Very touristy place, so it's worth visiting early in the morning and have a chance to take a decent picture and walk without crowds.
I visited the indoor exhibition of Meissen porcelain, which in my opinion was amazing. Something unusual to see. I was alone all the time during a self-guided visit spread out on both floors. Most information was available in German, only a few in English, no audio guide. The rococo hall was nice, offering some nice views of the river and the main cathedral of Bamberg. Entry fee was 6 EUR and I had to lock my backpack in the locker. Temporary ceramic exhibition at the basement was great as well showing beautiful pieces.
Unfortunately none of the staff was speaking English which was unusual for a tourist place like this, however they made sure I enjoyed my visit as they provided me with some printed material in English. I was unable to visit the rococo hall at my first attempt, therefore it was okay for me to return a few hours later without paying again for a ticket. It was truly amazing to see the staff trying and helping!
Worth visiting and enjoy a little moment of quietness in bustling city! Visited in July 2022.
The Bamberg Cathedral is a beautiful and historic Catholic cathedral located in Bamberg, Germany. Over the centuries, it has been the seat of the Archbishops of Bamberg and contains many artistic treasures, most notably the slender equestrian statue of the Bamberger Reiter (Bamberg Horseman), whose true identity remains a mystery. The cathedral is also associated with King Heinrich II, who became Emperor later in life.
A beautiful church with an extremely calming experience when you sit inside. Recommend lighting candles and looking at the beautiful decorations when here.
Raoul Coutinho — Google review
The cathedral of Bamberg is definitely one of the greatest buildings in the city. By the time we arrived there it was already closed, but we could appreciate the external architecture nonetheless; next to the cathedral there’s also a garden which is worth the visit.
Flavio Pimentel — Google review
The Bamberg Cathedral, completed in the 13th century, holds significant historical and cultural importance, earning its place in the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Town of Bamberg" since 1993. Officially known as Bamberg Cathedral of St. Peter and St. George, it is also referred to as the Kaiserdom or Imperial Cathedral. This cathedral houses the only papal grave in Germany after the destruction of Pope Benedict V's tomb in Hamburg in the early 19th century. Emperor Heinrich II and his wife Kunigunde are interred in a sepulcher near the entrance, while Pope Clement II is also buried here.
Visitors, like those depicted in the reviews, appreciate the cathedral's stunning architecture, intricate paintings, and notable historical figures entombed within. Despite its grandeur, some find the interior slightly underwhelming compared to other cathedrals in Germany, particularly in terms of design aesthetics. While access to certain areas like the cathedra, papal tomb, and frescoes may be restricted, guided tours are available, offering insights into the cathedral's rich history. Entry is free, making it a must-visit attraction in Bamberg.
Joel Jose — Google review
It is hard to find words to express the beauty of this place. Put aside 2 hours to travel slow through the cathedral area.
Angie Brandt — Google review
Monumental cathedral with a lot of history and importance!
Built in the 13th century - to the form as we see today - it's one of the most sacred buildings in Germany, and indeed from the outside the architecture is stunning distinguishing the cathedral by four majestic towers visible from most parts of the city. Even though the cathedral was under construction I was still able to admire its beauty, I especially appreciate the detailed Prince's portal on the side of the cathedral.
From the inside it was a bit let down. Yes, seeing the horseman, the most significant work of art in the cathedral, alongside the organs and the interior was great, but nothing mind blowing - judging strictly from the design perspective, not the cultural heritage. There are simply more beautiful cathedrals around Germany. From up close I was able to see The Tomb of the Saintly Imperial couple and the horsemen, unfortunately the cathedra, papal tomb (the only place north of Alps with buried pope) and the fresco of The Second Coming of Christ at the apse were fenced, therefore not able to admire from up close in details.
There is no organized tour inside nor you can go to one of its towers (let down for me as I like seeing places from above), but you can purchase a small brochure for 1 EUR to help you navigate through the place. Be aware that opening hours may vary due to masses (during my time of visit the cathedral was closed between 12:00 and 12:30). Free entry. Visited in July 2022.

History said that it was built and founded by Henry II in the year 1004 and it was declared sacred in 1012. It burnt down twice that it took a long time to rebuild.
A magnificent and majestic cathedral I've ever seen in Bamberg that composes of 4 big towers that surround and a solemn place inside though a presence tourists can be seen.
It has a very rich history and famous cathedral in Germany.
A lot of statues inside and outside of the cathedral.
Lots of sculptures, carvings and styles (Romaneque and Gothic) are impressive and superb.
There are lots of altars and organs (1415, 1868 and 1976) that mostly built against the north wall.
We can find here the only place in Germany where the grave of Pope Clement II is buried.
The tombs of Henry II and his wife - Empress Cunigunde are buried here too.
A worthy place to visit and there was no entrance fee when I visited this cathedral.
Observed dress code when visiting this place.
According to the information, its official name is Bamberg Cathedral of St. Peter and St. George. It is also called the Kaiserdom (“Imperial Cathedral”).
John Paul Tuquib — Google review
What a historic building right at the center of Bamberg and close to the old rathaus. The cathedral portrays Catholic over a millennium aga and the richness it offers through history of Church for the people of Bamberg.
Monuments are nicely spaced out as the hall is large (with ongoing constructions of the podium).
There's underground sitting place unfortunately locked and out of access to visitors as of yesterday. However you'll still find enough to go round and appreciate the beauty of it's architecture or see God in the splendor of how the people of Bamberg largely perceived as Catholics.
Sure during mass one find another atmosphere to observe institution of church at service to it's members. However as visitor it's already enough to enjoy sightseeing. Nearby you'll find various attractions and city life, rose flower garden, eateries and museums. There's nothing to miss visiting this cathederal.

A marvelous medieval church with a really long history dating back to 11th century, its construction was only finished by 13th century. It is amazing to see a mixture of both Romanesque and gothic styles within the same cathedral. The four imposing church towers is a sight to admire from a distance. It has many interesting relics and an underground chapel, which makes it unique from other churches I have visited.
It is a burial tomb of Henry II and Pope Clement II, which makes it the only church to have a Papal grave in Germany. Located on a small hill top, can be reached through a small walk from the old town.

Another beautiful church in Bamberg - Lots of history and numerous pictures...
Welcome to the Cathedral of St Peter and St George. Commissioned in 1012 over 1000 years ago, in the 13th century.
The Neue Residenz Bamberg is a beautiful palace that was built in the 17th century. The interior of the castle is filled with ornate ceilings, tapestries, and art. The rose garden is also an added attraction. The palace is open for guided tours and it is a must-visit for anyone visiting Bamberg.
This is definitely a place for painting and sculpture lover. Prince bishop’s collection is massive. The baroque style imperial hall is stunning.

A beautiful well maintained historical landmark with lots of paintings, and a guided tour of the Bishop's residence included with your entry ticket. Must visit for a tour of Bamberg.

The massive building is quite modest from the outside, but inside there are plenty of lavishly decorated rooms.
The visit to the Prince-Bishop's Apartment is only guided and in German. We were the first ones in the morning and since there was no one but us, we were very lucky and got a personal tour in English.
The rose garden is nice but quite small and since it is free to enter, it was too crowded during our visit, regular visitors plus several tour buses with tourist groups.

Good amount of Things to see, takes about 2 hrs or so if you go a bit slow. Includes a 30 min tour that's worth waiting for.
A nice little historic museum to gawk at the lavish and awkward interiors of rich people's homes in olden times. Cribs: minor European royals edition.
Rooms are mega cold tho. We literally left/rushed through the last sections because it was absolutely freezing inside.

Very big and luxurious palace. When I first visited I was wondering why does a relatively small city need a palace as big as the ones found in some royal capitals. Then I learned about the town's history as the seat of an HRE Prince Bishop which was an interesting history lesson.

A beautiful and historic building again close to the old town. Is right next to the historic old court and Bamberg Cathedral. Although it looks really promising from outside we couldn’t manage time to visit inside. It has a beautiful garden with mostly roses in the inner yard. Next time we would be visiting inside too.

Currently under construction work, but the 1h guided tour was definitely worth the visit and provided great insights into the life at and history of the residence.
Very engaging and would recommend.
I especially liked learning about the everyday life at the residence.
I would also suggest to spend some time in the close-by gardens and doing a city tour, for example with the free digiwalk Ansbach audio tour which is available in English and German.

Beautiful residence with plenty of history. Tours are only in German, and they do offer a pamphlet in English, but not everything is covered that the guide talks about and points out. There's construction in several rooms that s supposed to last for the next 3 years. So much of the furniture is covered up. I would suggest adding an audio tour in different languages. Otherwise, it's a great experience and an amazing price! (€5 per adult and kids were free)

I would not recommend this tour for young children. This was a wonderful and informative tour. We were supposed to be on a German speaking tour (our choice due to time) with English booklets on the exhibits but because we were the only one the guide did the tour in English. The art work displayed was amazing. They are in the process of renovations (April 2019) so some exhibits could not be viewed, however they had photos of them. The run every hour and it was less than €10 for myself and my husband.
Thrill, family & water rides, playgrounds, animatronics, live shows & animals in an amusement park.
Went with my boyfriend by train. Arrived a bit before opening and sadly had to leave a bit before closing time, as we didnt want to get home too late. We did have a great time! The park is not that big but its packed with great rides. Also the themes are amazing! We are planning on going back soon, WE RECOMMEND IT!!

Suitable for various age groups. There are several attractions even for adults. There are several themed food stations, lots of clean toilets, enough parking space. We brought our dog as well. We just needed to buy a ticket for 2 euros for her. Easy to spend the day.

Less people not much wait also have lot of things to do you wouldn't boring at all .
Must visit with kids price is not expensive.

Such a nice little amusement park but we got there after 1130 and very little was open. The food places opened up after 1230 and most rides were still closed when we left at 3pm. The price is about 27 euros per person. We enjoyed it just wish more was open. They have added more since last year. I would still recommend checking it out. It is not super busy so hardly any lines for rides or concessions.
Latoya Cleckley — Google review
In general we had a lovely day there.
The park is not that big but offers a wide range of activities for all age groups more suited for families and children. If you are an adrenalin junky you will find a few attractions but not that a variety as in other parks.
We liked that there were food stalls and toilets everywhere and the wildlife areas to calm down a bit from the excitement. Some of the attractions seem a bit dated, though they are still fun to ride.
The new area that was opened this year (Asia themed) looked nice, but the dragon rollercoaster didn't live up to our expectations. (no real light show or exciting exhibits, could do much better!)
If you are looking for a nice family day, this will suit you fine 😉
Sebastian Kaffka — Google review
Its a strange collection of attractions, some clearly left overs from earlier decades or second hand from other large attraction parks. But, nice atmosphere, green surroundings, not too busy. So, you pick what you like and go over and over again in the same attraction. For younger children lots of fun options. For teenagers too limited. My 13 and 15 year old enjoyed it for a couple of hours, but too few really exciting rollercoasters etc. Prices for food and drinks are high with 3 EUR for a black coffee. Zero vegan options. It's all just s bit out of date or conservative. Maybe exemplary for Bavaria?

Yullbe 3D supposed to be cool stuff. Right? Wrong. If you want to throw away 6€ into the trash, better just buy a burger for yourself instead (they've also got vegetarian, just in case of...). Don't. Just don't.

This is a great day out for a family with attractions suitable for all age groups. The park is well maintained and the layout offers plenty of shade and diversity. This would have been five stars from me if the prices were a bit more moderate. Kids pay full price from 1.40 m size, no family tickets and on site food, drinks and ice-cream are quite expensive. I recommend big families to bring their own food and drink.

(Translated by Google) Probably one of the most famous chapels in all of Germany. Its idyllic location in the middle of the vineyards and especially Tillman Riemenschneider's masterpiece The Madonna in the Rosary make it a worthwhile destination for visitors. I recommend parking a little further away, for example in Volkach, and hiking to the chapel to appreciate the wonderful location of the chapel. The view of the idyllic surroundings is also great. Worth a visit at any time of the year!

Wildlife park home to deer, moose & birdlife, plus mini golf, a kids' play area & a splash pool.
Wonderful animal park. Free entry and parking. Bring 50ct pieces for the official animal food vending machines.
As a child, I spent spring and summer days at the old "Waldspielplatz". In the past decade, it has been refurbished and remade as a wonderful, spacious, green park with minigolf, playgrounds, water basin (in summer) and lots of animals in large compounds. Some of them are really creative, as the fortress "Boarstone" and the farm of Bauer "Hof". Free entry is an amazing treat with many local companies supporting the construction and restauration of the place. Alas, the Wishing Gate should not be missed. Also watch out for crafty pieces of masonry and carpentry all around the park. At the end of your trail, where you can see local wildlife such as goats, pigs, boars, elks, rabbits, deer, donkeys, owls and the like, rest at the beergarden and have a "Rothwild" beer, bratwurst, fries, coffee and/or ice cream. And do not forget to invest in an Elch cookie! At the end of your visit, please generously donate a few bucks for the maintenance of this social project.

Located in the heart of the vineyards in Wurzburg, Germany, is a grand 18th-century palace known as Würzburg Residence. This lavish castle offers guided tours showcasing its exquisite frescos and paintings. It also boasts formal gardens that add to its charm and beauty. The Residenz palace is a significant architectural landmark, representing various European styles brought together under one roof.
I've visited the Residenz many times over the years and it's always an amazing experience. I love walking in the gardens, climbing the terraces and enjoying the view of the palace. This time I went inside again after several years and it was a very pleasant surprise to see how the presentation has changed. The large prints of black and white photos showing the destruction after 16 March 1945 add an impressive layer to the historic rooms.

One of my favorite castle in Germany. It’s a really beautiful place and there’s so much to see. The rooms are very beautiful and some impressive. However, the staff was quite unfriendly and even a bit rude. They also do not allowed photos inside but I saw a lot of people doing it and the staff ignored them so I did the same. I also want to mention that they have beautiful blossom in their garden during spring. It was magical!

It is very beautiful residence in Würzburg. We can not take a picture for inside of residence. However there are many amazing displays. Especially I would like to recommend to see a painting on the ceiling. It is most beautiful around the Germany.
The garden is also beautiful and you can visit freely and take a picture.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside - you definitely don't want to miss it!
The incredulous wall and ceiling paintings, the breath taking mirror room and the amounts of silver and gold throughout are just one part of it, there's lots more.
Saying that, I usually don't like castles too much, but this one.... Boy-oh-boy

one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. You will never regret paying only 9 euros for it. It is one of the must-see places if you are in Würzburg. It took me 3 hours just to soak up the interior. Very amazing sculpture, building, color meaning, everything is amazing. And the park next to it was also clean and comfortable, of course you can enter it for free. And don't forget one thing. You have to leave your bag and put 1€ in the locker to keep it and get it back when you're done. I had a 50 cent coin and it wouldn't work. A perfect place to take a perfect picture, just like a painting.

Strongly recommended if you are in Würzburg. A beautiful piece of architecture with an amazing interior and an absolutely beautiful garden. The only drawback is that you cannot take the pictures of the palace from the inside. A very well maintained garden area with many varieties of flowers and a fountain in the backyard. On the 10th day of our Viking Grand European Tour, we stopped at this grand location. This is part of tour package so we didn’t have to pay the entrance fee. The Residence is grand on the outside as well as on the inside. It’s just a little bit disappointing not to be able to take pictures inside but to see it with my own eyes is great. Upon completing the inside tour, you can also visit the courtyard garden and enjoy the flowers, shrubs and trees that complement the grandeur of this tourist attraction. By the way, the place is also wheelchair accessible via an elevator if you want to go to the main attraction inside the building.

Definitely worth doing the tour in English as the guide was both informative and amusing. The entire palace is quite extraordinary, particularly since it was reconstructed following the British Obliteration in the Second World War (May will be forgiven please).
The attention to detail in the restoration is worthy of particular comment, no one would know that these are not the original plaster, stucco or frescoes.

KissSalis Therme Bad Kissingen is a beautiful and relaxing wellness destination with a variety of pools and amenities, including sauna, steam bath, gym, and saline inhalation steam room. The place also provides good camper van overnight parking and has a restaurant with delicious food options.
Great place and pools are great. We were there from 9 till 2pm and occupancy was about 40%. Not too crowded and lots if available loungers. Food also great with good prices and portion sizes

Nice selection of varying temperature pools and amenities (sauna, steam bath, gym, peat packs). Glass steam bath and saline inhalation steam room was a treat. A wellness aspect prevailed mostly, however, unsupervised and uncontrolled children can throw a wrench in the atmosphere unexpectedly with runnings around and pool splashing. Probably best to go first thing during the week, when a mature group is prevalent, as usual. A good morning ticket special. Very popular (read quite crowded at times) on weekends. Ample parking, lockers and poolside storage. Wellness/peat packs staff was very professional and friendly, and information center staff efficient and helpful.

Very nice place. Warm water, more for adults than kids. Salt water pool, cold water pools and wonderfully relaxing hot water pools. Sauna, and steam rooms. You can get massages here, but they need to be booked ahead of time. Restraunt in the pool area with really good food, and beer and assorted drinks. Extremely clean bathrooms and shower areas as well. A little bit on the pricey side, but for the price you will not find anything this good in the area.

This is the best thermal bath we’ve found in this area of Germany. Only a few complaints: Staff can be a little rude when they find out you don’t speak German. Also would appreciate more signs or guidance for children to not be playing so wildly splashing everyone, it’s very difficult to relax here with children running and splashing around like crazy. Food definitely isn’t amazing but it’s what you’d expect. The hot bath used to be much hotter about a year ago, but it’s cooled down significantly this year. I used to only be able to stay in it for 5-10 minutes but now could stay in it for over an hour. Besides these drawbacks it’s definitely a great place to visit, weekdays are better. We also visited the Moor room and had to be completely naked with one other couple, which was a bit of a culture shock but we went along with it and it ended up being great and relaxing.

We visited the pool side twice and had a great time both times. The extra buoyancy of the salt water pool is great for floating and relaxing.

(Translated by Google) Obelisk fountain / market fountain
The obelisk fountain or market fountain was planned and built in 1802 by Johann Andreas Gärtner. The fountain operates during the warm season.
The classical fountain marks the center of the Lower Market Square and consists of an approximately 15 meter high obelisk on a square pedestal, each with a simple fountain bowl in the east and west directions. It is possible that the obelisk commemorates the beginning of national surveying, for which the triangulation process required prominent auxiliary points. Gärtner used local shell limestone to create the fountain.
Antique reliefs were subsequently added to the north and south sides of the fountain pedestal in 1881 based on drawings by Johann Martin von Wagner. These show women transporting food and drinks (some carrying them on their heads) and therefore reflect the everyday hustle and bustle in the market square very well. The reliefs are intended to commemorate the Napoleonic period under Grand Duke Ferdinand of Würzburg. (wikipedia)

Obeliskbrunnen / Marktbrunnen

The city's oldest stone bridge, known as the Alte Mainbrucke or Old Main Bridge, is reserved for pedestrians and showcases statues of saints and other notable icons. Constructed between 1473 and 1543 to replace a Romanesque bridge from 1133, this historic structure was embellished with twelve statues measuring 4.5 meters in two phases starting in 1730.
Scenic, old architecture, beautiful and relaxing. Don’t forget to buy a glass of wine from the shops at the end of the bridge. This is the heart of Würzburg. Always bustling with lots of people around, standing with a glass of wine and admiring the beauty of the city with fortress and riverfront on one side and the beautiful vineyards on the other side. A historical cobblestone bridge which looks a lot like the replica of the famous Charles bridge in Prague, with the statutes dating from 18th century standing on both the sides. It is a recommended place to watch the sunsets as you can observe the sky changing the shades across the vineyards.

What makes the Main Bridge worth your time? Well, there is the draw of drinking a glass of fine wine with a view of the vineyards that produced it. There is the chance to see just how impressive the River Main is. Wide, fast flowing, wild and exciting. There is a romantic aspect, the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable even if you just want to walk and enjoy the views. Oh, and it is free.

One of the main touristic highlights in the city, particularly popular because of the astonishing view on the river and the fortress on the hill. Very atmospheric tradition is to take a glass of local rose wine or aperol and drink it on the bridge directly over the river. But be ready to meet a 100m queue before the wine shop on holidays. My recommendation is to visit this place in the late Spring or early Summer.

Fantastic place in the evening, everyone comes onto the bridge to wine and dine, often on the weekends musicians play. An experience not to be missed on a hot sunny evening.
There was no rowdiness or drunken behavior, went there on a Tuesday evening in July, the bridge and riverside was bustling with people having a fun peaceful evening.
The Marienberg Fortress, a reconstructed stronghold from the 13th century, is home to art and history museums. It boasts formal terrace gardens and is also known as the Princely Garden. Situated due east of the fortress, it complements its counterpart while offering convenience for visitors in terms of proximity. The garden serves as a landmark and features an observation deck that provides breathtaking views of Wurzburg, including the city's river.
Well worth the walk up, the view is something else. I recommend the way up through the vineyards. The iconic view with the city towers is somewhat below the fortress before starting the real climb

This place is a beautiful place to go to, and a must for anyone visiting Würzburg or is nearby the area. Climbing up to the castle is about a mile walk, and depending on which way you go, it can be a shorter steeper way, or about a mile less steep way. As you get higher up, the view gets better and better of Würzburg. Once you reach the top, you can explore the castle before going to the side a viewing the view. Must take photos along the way. Going at night is even more breathtaking, where the main building of Würzburg are lit up, and pop out of the city.

Beautiful works of art throughout and beautiful gardens. All religious art, which was all the rage at the time.
I would enjoy it much more if the interior exhibits were set up as they would have been when the Fortress was inhabited. And if there were more English explanations.

A fantastic place to visit, free to get in, a massive fortress. Showing all the different stages of it's evolution, it still has the original 13th century keep in the center.
Wertheim Village is an outdoor shopping mall designed like a village, offering over 100 outlet stores from well-known brands. Conveniently located on the A3 motorway, it's just a 50-minute drive from Frankfurt and 60 minutes from Nuremberg, with ample free parking available. The area is easily accessible by train and bus as well. The village features various wheelchair-accessible boutiques, clean restrooms with facilities for parents, and open restaurants.
Great location and easy to reach through the Autobahn.
Different brands are represented in Wertheim Village. And if you go for the special sales events, you’ll get great offers for your money.
All boutiques are wheelchair accessible.
The rest rooms are clean and well maintained.
Including a place for the parents to change their little ones outfit.
Wheelchair friendly.
Restaurants are currently open.
But due to the pandemic the “Shopping Express” shuttle isn’t available.
Credit cards are welcomed.
Unfortunately some boutiques don’t accept AMEX.
The parking space is huge and they offer underground parking too.
Unfortunately, no charging spots for electric vehicles.
Tourist Information is open.
As long your dog is on a leash they are generally welcomed.
You can also borrow dog trolley’s at the Tourist Information.
Overall highly recommended for a day trip with your family and your friends.
I wish you all a happy day!

Good designer outlet village, wide selection of shops and brands, space is clean and neatly arranged, well maintained.
Unfortunatelly, there is lack of facilities for kids, small playground would be an advantage for bored kids, some toy shop will make kids a bit more willing to suffer endless walking with parents back and forth among those clothes shops.

Great outlet shopping experience. This outlet is a bit far away from the Frankfurt CBD area if you take a train and bus to get there. Luckily, I found and booked their shuttle bus to get there; it was so convincing. The only comment for their shuttle bus is that the return time is a bit early, at 3:25 PM. This is a beautiful countryside outlet, with a nice view, and many famous shops with great discounts. Their Italian restaurant is quite good. But their waffle shop at the corner is a nightmare; it is cold and not good. And during the trip with the shuttle bus, you can also see a fantastic view.

Nice, tidy, safe. Nice place for shopping. Just enter a shop, show your corona proof of vaccination + id and you'll get a bracelet that will open you the doors of 90% of the shops. The other 10 will still ask to check the proof and Id. Easy access, free parking (outside and underground).

I recently visited the Wertheim Village outlet mall and was disappointed with my shopping experience. While the mall offers a decent selection of brands, I found that the prices were not as much of a bargain as I had expected. In comparison to other outlet malls, such as Metzingen, the discounts were not as significant, and I felt like I wasn't getting the best value for my money.
Another issue that I encountered was the limited range of brands available at the mall. While there were some well-known brands, I was disappointed to find that there were fewer options than I had expected. This made it difficult to find what I was looking for, and I left feeling like the selection was somewhat underwhelming.
Overall, while the Wertheim Village outlet mall has its merits, I would not recommend it as strongly as other outlet malls in the area. While there are some good deals to be found, the prices are not as low as other outlets, and the range of brands available is somewhat limited. If you're looking for a true outlet bargain, you may want to consider visiting other outlet malls in the area instead.

Nice shopping. Most of the outlet accept our Vaccination cert from Singapore. The staff from UnderArmor even provide us with a hand tag after verifying our Vac Status. However we got bad bad experience from Karl Lagerfeld (Female outlet) the staff Shoo us away even with the vac cert, passport and hand tag. How the hell do we end in Germany if we are not vaccinated!! Even all outlet we went we do not being treated in such manner. Visited 15 Dec 2021 @ 1840hrs

Whimsical themed outlet with a nice variety of shops for most bargain hunters. Our personal favorite was the fun and colorful Lindt chocolate shop! We also found deep discounts at the Zwilling JA Henckels shop. Most discounts ranged from 30-60%.
Nearby is a wonderful Italian restaurant, L’Osteria.
Plenty of convenient parking, short drive from Frankfurt and the discounts make the visit worthwhile.

Burg Wertheim, also known as the Wertheim Castle, is situated on a hillside and can be reached by a 15-minute uphill walk from the village. While it is mostly in ruins, it offers an intriguing historical experience with well-explained historic facts for interested visitors. The castle provides stunning views of the picturesque town of Wertheim. Additionally, there are nearby restaurants and places to relax with family or friends after exploring the castle.
We visited the castle. Restaurant in a castle, what better combination. Of course I tried the food. Everything was delicious, I ordered Mediterranean shrimp, semi-dry white wine and finally an apple strudel with a Baileys latte, the latter I think is a special because I didn't see it on the menu, but I did see it on the blackboard. An excellent experience, the day was sunny luckily and we ate outside with the wonderful view and food. Highly recommended.

We were looking forward to dinner in the Berg...but unfortunately it was underwhelming generally. Food was OK but not great value. However, it was the service that was particularly ordinary, to the point of rudeness, that disappointed and dominated our evening. Interior decor is also nothing impressive...so we have probably had our last Berg meal. Perhaps alfresco in the warmer months, with a friendlier waiter, could work :)

The room looks just like the online photos. Overall the hotel is a quiet place and even the hallways are padded to reduce noise. The pools are clean but may get crowded during periods of high use. The breakfast food buffet was well stocked and they don't skimp on quality. Free wifi--which was useful because my room didn't have the standard book of services and things to do in the local area like many places I've visited. The sauna is textile free--so if you want a sauna you need to be prepared for the European experience.

I really enjoy the swim hall very much. However, tonight, the bubble machine (pumps) were not operational. Part of the enjoyment of the warm salt water is the water features. This particular evening, the music was excessively loud, even in the sound room.

To everyone who is ok with an average spa which is also focused on a normal swimming pool atmosphere this is the place to go. To everyone who is used to a more intimate, quiet and luxurious experience this spa is not recommendable. Showers and clocks are broken, toilets aren't clean, sauna area is crowded at least at the weekend (even though late in the evening).

Despite I am not a big fun of thermal baths I think this one is a nice one. Very new, modern and well organized. Unfortunately the swimming pools are not very big and it tends to be quite crowded especially at peak hours. The inside restaurant does not have a huge variety of food and it is quite basic. There is a very large sauna area with many different types of sauna although you need to be prepared to be totally naked to enjoy 😀. Overall a nice experience!
Gianmarco Cicuzza — Google review
I’ve been to many saunas and thermal baths before, this one didn’t impress me. Thermal baths were great, we could swim in 2 indoor pools, chill in the jacuzzi and enjoy swimming outdoors surrounded by nature.
Sauna area was not so nice. Several saunas were closed. We could only go to 90 and 55 degree sauna and hamam. No cold pool where you could cool down after heat. Jacuzzi had a barely warm water instead of hot. Showers are really uncomfortable to use because the water stream is literally hitting you while changing from hot to ice cold all the time. No shower gel provided. Small details are missing.
We also had to decide on and pay for the time of staying before going in. 2 hours 20€, 4 hours 26€ per person. If you stay longer, you have to pay extra for every 30 min.
Overall it was okay. But you could feel that there is no soul in it.

The place is not good at all. It was defined as the thermal bath but the same type of salt water used at 3 pools. Liquid sound is not available at all. It’s only one day on month, this is never mentioned anywhere on the website. And it’s very small and crowded. Only one sauna and one Dampf sauna works and rest were closed. And the guy who take class was very rude and it only last for 10 min. There is nothing in the class just some old guy putting water on stones. There is no nice smell at wall in the sauna. I really had high hopes for this thermal bath but was really dissatisfied. The guy at reception also tricked us to take tickets to come again by paying more but it’s not worth it.
Built between 1605 & 1614 this large castle served as residence of the archbishop-electors of Mainz.

I was a guest in the hotel but can not recommend staying here, while the location is excellent, there is little sense of hospitality. When we arrived we asked if we could get a table for dinner. We were told they were all booked out. We did not find anything else we liked in the area, and we had our eyes on the pepper steak on the menu here so we tried our luck again at the restaurant. There was a table free outside, which said it had been reserved for 19h but at this point it was well past 20h and the table was still empty. We said we were guests at the hotel and we were promptly told we can not be seated at the table. We ended up ordering food elsewhere and sitting on the bench in the square, to eat on our lap. The entire time, the table at the Goldener Engel stayed EMPTY. Very inhospitable!!!
The rooms are clean and spacious, few extras not even water. Breakfast was sparse if you could even get to it - unfortunately it's tucked into a tiny corner and there's room for one person at a time.
Not an ideal stay. I expect more welcoming service from a hotel really! very unfortunate.

We called in our desperate need Hotel Goldener Engel, explained our situation (no Tesla Destination charger in the nearby booked Michel Hotel, while google said it was), if we please could charge a few % (we said we wanted to pay ofcourse) but the Goldener Engel Hotel said no: it was only allowed if we booked a room.
While we walked around, with our two tired little children, to look for help from anybody, we saw outside that the Tesla charger at the Goldener Engel Hotel wasn't used at this moment.

The Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt is a notable museum that boasts an impressive collection of European art and natural history exhibits. The museum is located in the heart of Darmstadt and requires a minimum of 2 to 3 hours to explore every exhibit without rush. A cafe is also available for visitors to take a break or rest after exploration. This museum caters for both adults and children, making it suitable for families.
It is a huge museum having 7-8 sections ranging from science, arts to history. The hardwork of workers in preserving the biological samples is admirable. You can come with kids to give them a good insights into different subjects. It is fantastic museum.

It's one of the best places to visit while in Darmstadt. A wide range of interesting pieces of art perfectly curated to give the museum some sense of coherence and artistic uniqueness. There is usually a decent amount of visitors of diverse heritages and interests. So there is no way of telling which corner of the museum will be less crowded and when. With a little patience, enough time to spare, and a little physical stamina, you should be able to cover a big chunk of the museum in one outing. I love this place and I would wholeheartedly recommend it.
Tip for the little ones: there is an open art workshop for kids on almost every other Saturday. My son is not really passionate about art, but the art ass is so well done that even someone who is not really into it has something to look forward to in it. Thanks a lot.

Most of the descriptions of the pieces are in German but this didn't reduce any of the entertainment for me. One kind employee even had a nice chat with me about the permanent collection.

The Worms Cathedral of St. Peter is a stunning example of early Gothic architecture, featuring four round towers and an opulent Baroque interior. In contrast to the Romanesque style of Speyer's cathedral, St. Peter's is a symbol of the city and draws both occasional and dedicated visitors with its majestic presence. From afar, the cathedral impresses with its grandeur, and it does not disappoint upon closer inspection.
Again and again I have seen this beauty from afar on my many bike rides and have not been disappointed. It looks impressive, you won't be disappointed here. The impression from afar really did not deceive me

Dom St. Peter is the number 1 tourist attraction of Worms. Though you can find many similar cathedrals across Germany or Europe and neither is it the grandest one, I like it due to its few special features.
First, it is the shape of the high towers. They are cylindrical rather than the commonly seen rectangular. The stained glasses, not the ones showing religious stories or holy figures but the plain ones, are lovely. Together with some of the stone and wood cravings displayed inside, it made my visit pleasant and tranquillizing though I am not a religious person.

Quite a stunning medieval structure!
Even though the smallest out of Rhenish imperial cathedrals (Mainz, Speyer and Worms) it certainly does not lack any beauty to its counterparts. Also the youngest among them, built with red colored bricks around the year 1130, this cathedral is a dominant of Worms.
However, finding a great overview of the cathedral from the outside turned out to be a rather difficult task. The west end, also the front of the cathedral was under construction (there is also an entrance to the premises of the cathedral that was closed) and the whole north part of Schlossplatz was covered by tribunes for a musical event. The best views can be appreciated from the south side - the park area with an iron miniature of the cathedral - where the entrance is located. The little rose garden, left to the entrance, is decent, but not really well maintained.
The inner parts resemble many other cathedrals around Germany, however I find the main nave quite different, the ambience there is pure and simple. Miniature model of the complex is on display in one of the transept, stained glass windows are to be admired throughout the cathedral and a gorgeous high altar is a great masterpiece. I also enjoyed the gothic reliefs from the abandoned cloisters hanging on the walls. Unfortunately there is not a possibility to enter any of its four towers, however the tiny crypt is available for exploration.
A small souvenir stall is located inside the cathedral, offering, apart from postcards and memorabilia, informative English brochures for a 50 cents donation.
Worth to visit while in town, visited in August 2022.

Worms is one of Germany’s oldest city besides Trier and the Dom St Peter, consecrated June 9, 1018 which it’s foundation erected by Bishop Burchard +1025, the high altar on the east side was created by Balthasar Neumann who brought the sculptor Johan Wolfgang von der Auvera between 1738-1742 after the great city fire in Worms 1689. The two figures larger than life size figures of St Peter complete with the rooster saying “you will betray me three times before I crowed” and St Paul on the other side , this altar at a glance has a breath of Barrock influence. Also the Gothic signs are every where to find such as the apse combing a woman hair, the roosters etc. Btw Worms also known for the place where in 1521 Martin Luther refused the catholic believe. On top of it all Worms also has been a city of winemaking since the Romans brought wine here.

Four towered church in the middle of city worms provides a warm ambience once you enter the church. Along the wall you will see the sculpture of Biblical stories or events. Colourful stained glass window panes bring in mystic light. It is equally beautiful from outside.

What an incredible experience. Tge richness of history, if you take a little time to uncover it, will impress. To be in a place and let yourself go back in time to imagine the sites and sounds, is such an adventure. The Dom St. Peter is one of those places that makes it easy to do just that. Walking the grounds and through the buildings lets you travel back in time over some of history's greatest events ranging from the early days of the Reformation to the tragedies of World War II.
Solemn and peaceful. Make sure to bring a head covering if you're a man.

Entrance only with a hat for men. Solemn and serene atmosphere in this Jewish cemetery.

(Translated by Google) Very special and emotional. Graves from about 1800 and older. Sometimes very bizarre in the way they stand. Also known rabbis. Sometimes with stones on the tombstone itself. You do this when you know him or are family. Just as we lay a flower, a stone is placed there instead of the gravestone. Also sometimes a sign on the gravestone of, for example, 2 hands. That was, for example, someone with a profession as manual worker. Very special and also knows scary

The oldest Jewish Cemetary in Europe with garves dating back a millenia. Also the final resting spot for several prominent German Jews from history.
It is a place for quiet reflection.
The cemetery is very sombre and well maintained.
The old gravestones are especially fascinating and make for great pictures.
When you visit
Be respectful

Walk into the gate (as pictured) either take the path immediately on the left for about 4/5 min (over grass a bit right before the chelkas harabonim) and then little hill downwards into chelka. Or u can continue straight down the main path till steps on the left (pics inclu) continue that path for about 3 mins till u see path going down into small hill (ditch) on the left (next the big wall of cemetery).

Otherwise, I'm interested in how far back the story can be traced.

Meiner Meinung nach kann man es mal gesehen haben, jedoch nichts besonderes. Es ist halt ein Friedhof.
Ansonsten mal Interesse wie lange die Geschichte zurück zu verfolgen ist.
Kirschgarten Square, located in Mainz, Germany, is a delightful cobbled square with a rich history dating back to the 14th century. The well-preserved half-timbered houses that line the square are a testament to its 17th-century origins. The name "Kirschgarten," meaning Cherry Garden, harks back to its previous life as an orchard. A fountain adds to the charm of this picturesque and historic location.
St. Stephan's Church is a Catholic church that features stunning stained glass windows created by Marc Chagall and a late-Gothic cloister. Located just a short walk away from Schillerplatz, this hilltop church offers panoramic views of the city. With nearly 200,000 visitors annually, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful churches in the world. The blue windows are particularly noteworthy and provide a unique experience for visitors.
Wonderful church. The Chagall windows are beautiful. But apart from that it was a very welcoming experience with friendly and helpful "staff". The windows are breathtaking, but you can regain composure in the beautiful cloister. Unmissable.

Lovely church. The blue windows are a one time church experience. I've never seen such beautiful windows and color in any church. The photos doesn't show the beauty though. I tried my best to take realistic photos but it wasn't possible..

Beautiful early 10th century Church with courtyard. The real attraction are the Chagal windows, a fantastic deep cool blue in colour which goes back to post war Germany and is one of the only examples.

The inside of the church is so adorable, esp. with the Chagall windows. Of course, inside is so solemn, it is a lovely place to meditate
Emy Evans — Google review
One of the most beautiful churches I've ever been into, the Marc Chagall windows have to be seen in daylight... The church itself sits up on top of a bluff overlooking all of downtown mines as well as the Mainzer Dom, a must see cathedral in downtown, but St. Stephen's is much more than a place of worship. Impressionist art lovers unite...

Hidden gem of Mainz!
I have been outside in the church cloistered courtyard, which is relatively small but very beautiful and picturesque, many times, however this was my first time inside the church and I was really impressed. I had no idea there was such a beautiful church in Mainz!
This place is known for its unique stained-glass windows in luminous blue that were created by Marc Chagall. The light coming through the windows was absolutely stunning and created an almost unreal ambience, I felt like being under water. I have never seen such beautiful lighting in any church I have visited (visited mid-day with clear skies, so nothing was blocking the sun beams to enter the church). I also enjoyed the beautiful modern Organs near the chancel with the altar.
There is a little gift shop inside, where you can buy souvenirs like postcards, books and magnets mainly with the blue window theme. Church is wheel-chair accessible and there is no entrance fee.
Totally recommend to visit this church as pictures don't really do justice, you must see it with your own eyes to have the full experience.
Visited in May 2022.

Saint Stefan’s church in Mainz is one of the most beautiful historical buildings you can find. If you visit mines you have to make sure to go inside this church. There is no entry fee and once you go inside you will see beautiful blue windows which were created by the very famous Chagall artist. The Organ is also brand new and modern and was created after the church raised donations for it. Once you walk through the church you go towards the back and there is a small walkway leading to additional rooms and a courtyard. What are the courtyard once you leave the church through the back you walk behind the church and there’s a viewpoint where you can see Mainz from high up there is also a bench where you can sit there. I recommend you look up the opening hours before going because it would be a shame to miss the artwork inside.

Rheinaue is one of the most beautiful spots in and around Bonn. It not only has its own lagoons, but it is beautifully highlighted by the accent of the river Rhine. Rheinaue is one of the best spots to meditate and carry your outdoor activities.
The park is rich with well maintained greenery which provides an ambiance that is suitable for everything, be it a romantic walk, a yoga session, a sprint or even the chill pill of playing beer pong !
Furthermore, Rheinaue is known for various sports and interests such as canoeing, and The 5km run association is called the park-run.

The free entrance Museam that tells how German become today since 1945.
Wonderful journey and well planned. There are very informative and have some interactive tools available.
However, the English description is not available in small sections, so you would only have audio and narrative at the main theme.

The Museum of the History of the Federal Republic is a modern chronically of post second war Germany. It is a very fascinating place to visit but half way round I felt overloaded with information. It is perhaps better to take a coffee or tea break before you become saturated with information overload.
I would recommend this museum it is very well laid out and extremely simulating. But remember to take a break. You can download a free audio guide to your mobile phone.
The Museum is free to enter. The cloakroom is free to use. It had a handy cafe with waiter service.
Toilets are on the basement floor.
A metro station is virtually a minute away from the entrance.

I learned so much history about WW2 and German history that I had never heard before. Such an interesting and well put together exhibit. You could spend hours there. If you're not a German speaker, make sure to download Google translate and use the camera feature to translate all the notes on the pictures or you'll miss a lot that even the audio guide doesn't tell you.

Are you looking for an well balanced view of German history after WW2, then visit this museum. But you need enough time and concentration. You will understand political development and live circumstances.
But I think it has to rebuild. Youth need other kind of knowledge transfer with more interaction and using digital media.
The longe invites for a relaxing break between many books.

The museum is really big and lots of items inside
The museum starts from (after ww2, 1945) until now.
The bad thing is that there are NO English descriptions at all, although it is intended for foreigners to learn history about this great country
I loved the place in general. I love German history
Many original pieces and many replicas
The museum has history about war, machines, politics, astro, life, people, ..
I liked how the theme was affected by the timeline (united > east+west germany> united germany)
Ahmad Nouri — Google review
It was free entry for some reason, they had quite a good collection, the historical stuff is in German, while the digital section is labeled in English. I spend around 2hrs here. It was worth it. I recommend a visit.
Thomas Joseph — Google review
Get emotional at first with some corners of post war. Informative and diversely displayed which is really nice however a few English signs to be found except the very brief main ones. In stead they walk you thru by audio by QR code.
Hien Diep — Google review
Truly a must see for every German citizen and everyone who is interested in German and recent European history.
What is especially captivating is the fact that each part of the exhibition is visually and physically enhanced by original objects and artifacts which are telling a story about their past much better than a simple picture or text.
While you can easily spend an entire day here without having seen everything, I’d recommend to split the entire exhibition in at least two visits to better process the vast amounts of information and pictures.

This is an INCREDIBLE botanical garden. First of all I have to say that the garden is free of charge to all visitors! It offers an astonishing pallette of different trees, bushes, shrubs and flowers which are all labelled and can be inspected up close since walking on the grass is allowed. Aside from the plethora of plants outside, there are also several greenhouses with different zones like sub-tropical, tropical and arid. There is even an extra little part with different types of carnivorous plants.
Beside the main botanical garden there is also a small separate garden wherein plants which are used by humans are grown. There are different citrus and nut trees, berries, fruits and other edibles as well as different grain types and other interesting plants. Whether you are an avid plant lover, botanist or someone who likes to spend time among many different plants then make sure to have a visit to the botanical garden, you won't regret it.

Very extensive collection of species in the large glass houses. Each section is another surprise, ranging from humid tropical to dry desert cactus collections.
The eautiful garden layout includes several ponds and bridges, sections with large trees give a nice shade during warm days while still giving a great view on the historical palace-like central building.
