Beautiful gate to the old Roman area in Aosta city. There’s a tow of cafes as soon as you enter. Tourist-friendly and well kept.
La Bottega Degli Antichi Sapori is a great Italian restaurant with homestyle Valdostan dishes, charcuterie and wine. The food is very well cooked and the staff are friendly and welcoming. La Bottega Degli Antichi Sapori offers a nice selection of starters (cold cuts and cheeses) as well as pasta dishes that are wonderfully cooked. The dessert menu is also quite good with some interesting choices, making it a great option for a late night meal.
Geheimtipp! Lokale und sehr leckere Produkte, auserlesene Weine und ein sehr sympathische Bedienung! A must!

Very good quality starters (cold cuts and cheeses) typical from Italy and Spain. We chose Pasta (very Well cooked) accompanied with an artisanal beer. Nice desserts and friendly staff. We loved it.
Didn’t give 5 starts because the restaurant itself is not “wow”, just a simple cozy bottega. But food-wise definitely worth it!!
Guillermo Alonso — Google review
The food was amazing, we tried the cheese and ham plate, that was really good. Beyond that, we tasted the tagliatelle and the polenta that were excellent. But, unfortunately, our experienced was affected by one staff that didn’t treat us very welcoming when we tried to get a table in the restaurant.
Karen Kobayashi — Google review
Had a wonderful lunch with the family today. I definitely recommend the cured meats and cheeses platters, as well as the tagliatelle with culatello and parmesan! But generally speaking we were satisfied with the food and wine. The location is cosy, especially the 'underground' area. Service is nice, and you can purchase most of the products you have enjoyed after eating (which we definitely have done!) - we will come back!

Große Weinauswahl mit fachkundiger Beratung. Sehr nettes, englisch sprechender Service. Tolle Gerichte. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Very quaint atmosphere. When you walk through the deli to the restaurant in the evening, you are greeted with many interesting aromas. The guest room is right next to the kitchen. Large selection of wines with expert advice. Very nice, English speaking service. Great dishes. We'd love to come back.

Delicious lunch here, a cute little 7 seat restaurant with wonderful local dishes and an amazingly inexpensive wines by the glass list. I only wish we had more of an appetite so we could have tried some of the meats and cheeses they had in their shop, but the tagliolini with butter, parm and white truffles was perfect, and the polenta in the La Carbonade was one of the best I’ve had!

Amazing food and wine plus 10/10 service - our favourite meal of the week hands down. If you are in Aosta this is a must!

The Fondation Pierre Gianadda is a cultural venue nestled amidst ancient Roman ruins that showcases classical music concerts and art exhibitions. The renowned gallery boasts an impressive collection of artwork by celebrated artists such as Van Gogh, Cezanne, and Picasso. Visitors can also explore the sculpture garden featuring unique sculptures by Henry Moore, Niki de Saint Phalle, and Cesar's Le Sein (The Breast).
The museum is not big, but has such an eclectic variety of collections that's its a very entertaining way to pass an hour - no matter what you're interested in.
There's a potted collection of roman artifacts, early cars, contemporary sculpture and decorative arts. The Cafe in the sculpture garden is a great place for a leisurely aperitif or on a sunny day.
The history of Roman Martigny is well explained in French and German, but most other signage is in French only.

Went to visit the museum to see the exhibition of the magnificent paintings from Joseph Turner. The paintings are impressive, but personally, i found they were presented a bit squeezed in the corridors. More justice would be done by having them more space generously displayed.
In the basement, the museum has a permanent exhibition of historic cars, some quite unique models of swiss manufacturers that can not be found anywhere else.
The museum has a nice outdoor park with a large variety of different trees that are all supported by a plate indicating their name. Further in the park there are interesting schulptures on display.
In a corner of the park is a small restaurant that offers good food for reasonable prices.
A good place to go to for a days outing.

A must visit if you pass by. Great art gallery with fantastic exhibitions.

impressive site with several exhibitions. Main attraction is actual William Turner exhibition "Sun is god" with impressive pictures as "Lake Petworth sunset".
There are also some photo exhibitions and automobile museum. As museum stands on site of pre-Roman celtic temple there are also many objects of Celtic and Roman history.
Jochen Ickert — Google review
Very nice museum, small but cute. There is an exhibition that changes time to time, and two areas dedicated to the main characters of the museum. There is also one area with the cars of the beginning of 20th century. There are 2 cafeterias, one indoor, very cute (like a step back in time), and one outside in the garden, where it is really pleasant to sit and enjoy the park and the weather. The park is also interesting, with pieces of art of various artists placed here and there. Suggested.
Claudio Cafarelli — Google review
Unusual and fabulous art, history and automobile museum under one roof, plus a world class sculpture garden and Roman ruins! The museum features excellent temporary art exhibitions (Caillebotte was a revelation!), gorgeous vintage Mercedes, Bugatti and Swiss autos, and interesting Roman coins, statues and temple remnants. The outdoor sculptures by Brancusi, Rodin, Niki de Saint Phalle, Jean Dubuffet, etc. are beautifully placed in the large, peaceful garden. And the Roman ruins are a wonderful bonus. Highly recommended!
Joe Esparza — Google review
Great new exhibition since February on the Swiss painter Anker. The focus is on his incredible rendering of children, Anker being arguably one of the best painters of children, of all times.
And, as usual, this museum has numerous other aspects to show, including the best Car Museum of Switzerland in the underground, the best Statue Museum of Switzerland in the attending park, a small exhibition on Da Vinci drawings, etc.

Fabulous sculpture park in a beautiful mountain setting. Worth the visit if just for the permanent collection of sculptures and cars. The temporary exhibits are always of the highest caliber. In Summer-Fall 2018 it was a Soulages retrospective, simply wonderful. The little restaurant is nice, but 10 min walk and you're in the center of Martigny with a good choice of restaurants and bakeries. Easy access by train or car, only 1h30 from Geneva. Recommended.

Great place to enjoy sculptures outdoors. Some Roman ruins are also on site. Be sure to stop at night to see the sculptures under a different light.
The exhibits indoor vary by season. Very nice copper sculptures are part of the permanent exhibit. You can find also a small shop with book, mugs and various souvenirs to take home.
Amazing!!

Pointe Helbronner is a must-visit alpine summit, standing at 11,358 feet and offering breathtaking valley views. Accessible by cable car in a popular ski area, it provides stunning vistas of mountain peaks and features a glass wall showcasing local gemstones. Visitors can enjoy quality coffee at a charming cafe while admiring the peaks. Despite potential cold temperatures at the observation deck, the various platforms offer spectacular views even on cloudy days.

MUST VISIT ONCE IN A LIFETIME!!!
Beautiful view one of the highest peak of Europe, and the highest of Italy and France!!! 11th Peak in the World!!! Beautiful Panorama and astounding atmosphere... For those who are scared, it's not a big deal... The only thing we felt as a group is lower oxygen intake but not much more... The shelters are so good organized you don't feel like you are outside on one of the 11th peak...
We wen to the restaurant downstairs and it isn't so overpriced Like you can take a Brioches with Cappuccino at 4 Euros!!!
Even in Milan You can't get an offer like that... We ate typical Salumi and cheese with hot chocolate... Great Great Experience!!!
So yeah you can also visit it in every season and in March they also open the way to the France, You can come with your ski and do ski alpinism or throw yourself with the Paragliding with any problem.
The price to reach the peak is only 45 euros per person...

Stunning views of mountain peaks, an entire glass wall dedicated to local gemstones alongside a view of Mont Blanc and a lovely little cafe where you can sip quality coffee while you admire the peaks! Even though during my visit there were quite a few clouds, the various platforms and views from this height were spectacular. It does get cold at the top observation deck (since you are standing around) so I would recommend an ultralight down! To get around the observation decks (external) you do need to do some stairs, but the building (internal) itself with the cafe and viewing areas is fully accessible! From this point, you could pay for the additional trip on the Mont Blanc Panoramic cable car that takes you over to Aiguille du Midi! I would also recommend going early- so you get fewer clouds and crowds!

Amazing view and easily accessible by gondola! Be sure to take the elevator down to Refugio for the best hot chocolate!

Amazing station built at 3200+Mt, getting there from Courmayeur is very costly by the Skyway is actually worth it, especially if you add the 40 minutes journey to Aiguille du Midi.
I visited a summer 2022 35C day and it was 0 degrees up there at mid-day.
Visit before the glaciers are gone :(

Great place to visit. Outstanding and unforgettable view with Mount Blanc and many other peaks reaching over 4000m. The trip starts from Courmayeur (Italy). There is also a walking path to Pointe Helbronner but it takes a lot of time even going down. Climbing trips to Dent du Géant and Aiguille and Dome de Rochefort start from here.

Chillon Castle is a 13th-century fortress located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. The castle is well known for its beautiful lakeside promenade, which makes it a popular tourist destination.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Chillon Castle and it was an incredible experience. The castle itself is absolutely breathtaking, with its stunning location on the shores of Lake Geneva and its beautifully preserved medieval architecture. The tour guides were knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information about the history of the castle and the people who lived there. I was especially impressed by the audio guide, which allowed me to learn even more about the castle and its history at my own pace. The castle's location on the lake made for some breathtaking views and the gardens were a lovely spot to relax and take in the scenery. Overall, my visit to Chillon Castle was a highlight of my trip to Switzerland and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Illia Dobroskok — Google review
The castle is good for a quick evening visit. Takes about 1.5-2 hours roughly to study the captions in great detail and know a bit about the history and the background. The access is easy. There's a boat dock and the railway line that connects the station of Montreux is close by. They do have an entry fee. Some places have access restricted to visitors. You can choose to have an audio guide.
SOUMYANANDA GOSWAMI — Google review
The audio guide provided great narration and compelling stories of the history as well as recent developments and efforts to maintain the beautiful castle. Would recommend setting aside 2 hours for sufficient time to explore the castle.

A smaller but beautiful complete castle. Nice structural components. Beautiful crystal clear water surrounds it including a shallow clear moat. Access to the towers were not allowed which is the only reason for minus a star rating.
Wanderlust Global — Google review
Such a beautiful castle. You admire how it is preserved from the ancient years. You can see the transformation if it across the years from room to room. If you follow the recommended plan of the visit, you can see everything, but you are not limited only to this. You can follow your own path and you will always arrive to main open plaza of the castle. The castle has a great view to the Leman lake and it’s so interesting to see how the regions and borders between countries have changed across the years. A beautiful activity for your weekend or free time.
Vasilis Skarleas — Google review
Incredible! Fantastic! Unexpected wonder! Honestly I could not say anything bad about this place especially considering this was a 1 day stopover for us and it was a place I had found online as a recommendation through Social Media. I was not expecting much but as we approached along the walkway on the beach you could see why this has been suggested. Immediately you can see how well preserved this castle is from the moats and walls around the outside and then the rooms, towers and even dungeons on the inside. If you have the time, I would recommend the audio tour to really get an understanding of the castle and its history.
Ben Pavesi — Google review
A beautiful island castle located in lake Geneva with interesting history. The castle has various sections showing different functionalities the castle have had in the past. Make sure to take the stairs to climb up the castle to get an incredible view. There were also galleries inside the castle showcasing antique crafts & objects.

Would visit again and again! The castle is one of the best preserved medieval castles having been extensively studied and preserved. You can buy tickets online or in person at the gate. Depending on when you're visiting you're much better off buying ahead. We visited a couple of hours before they closed and didn't feel rushed exploring the castle. You'll get to visit the dungeons, tower keep, living areas, and even the latrines (which shockingly after ~700 years still smell...used). The brochure guide comes in many languages and is extremely helpful for appreciation. There is a gift shop inside and one outside, each with different items. Staff is friendly and speaks English.
Michael Barton — Google review
It feels like being transported back to the Middle Ages, and whether inside or outside the castle, it's truly astonishing. However, the underground areas gave me a slightly eerie feeling, not because they're bad, but because they're so authentic, making you feel like you're reliving that historical period. The immersive experience is incredibly strong! I recommend renting an audio guide to fully appreciate the charm of the castle.

Awesome castle from the 1200s right on lake Geneva. We did the self guided tour which was easy to follow and took about an hour. Some really cool history and amazing views of the surrounding area. There is also an option for a longer guided tour if you'd like.

Well maintained, with good and ample signage in English. Connectivity is good as well with the local buses stopping right outside. Castle itself is intriguing, almost like traveling in time with artifacts and untouched walls from the 13th century.

Beautiful castle from the outside but we did not have a chance to visit. However, we did eat at Cafe Byron (great experience and food!) where I burned myself on the very hot metal barrier. They are aware of the danger as children have also done the same but it is up to the castle to fix. They could easily add wood on top of the metal- I hope they do so no one else gets hurt...

Gorgeous medieval castle on the Geneva lake with beautiful views. There is a museum inside with various exhibitions and lots to see and learn. It is famously linked to an epic poem by Byron named "the prisoner of Chillon". There is a great café just next to the castle and a souvenir shop. There are lots of benches to sit around and enjoy the view and a perfectly manicured garden all around the castle.

Fascinating to see the restored work done through the centuries, 1100s forward. So amazing to be able to walk through a maze of courtyards, covered bridges and rooms while experiencing the historical presence of the structure.
Accompanying furnishings are thoughtfully curated and arranged, complemented by painted walls from appropriate periods in history.
I didn't get an eerie feeling (although I skipped the dungeon and crypt), as I have before when visiting such a structure. Rather, I felt as if I could possibly have lived there during that time period!

Brilliant castle at the lake shore of Lac Leman. Accessible by train or with a boat/ferry. The tour through exhibition is very well structured and information is available in German/English and French. Using the audio Guide is highly recommended, giving a good understanding of the castle use through the centuries.

Another nice castle to look around. Parking is a bit of a pain but we figured it out. Interesting things to see within and great views around. The climb to the top of the main tower was a particular highlight. One weird thing was their reluctance to sell us a family ticket as we only had one chid - never ever had that before!

Located by the lake, Chillon Castle should be on your list of places to visit when in Montreux not only for its historical significance but also for the views of Montreux.
The perfect time to visit would be when the weather is sunny. This ensures that the temperature in the castle is not too cold and you could get a picturesque image by the lake.
The Montreux Riveria card which most hotels provide to their guests gives you 50% off the entrance fare.
For those who want to learn about the historical and cultural significance of the castle in detail, an audio guide is available. If you decide not to opt for the audio guide, there are also description of each rooms on the walls which you could read.

A brilliant construction on the Lake Geneva with a spectacular view. The attention to detail is mind blowing. This castle has a lot of history dating back the mediaeval times. We got a free entry through the swiss travel pass so we checked it out while we were on Montreux. It was a beautiful building with lots of chambers, rooms, towers and hidden secret compartments and doors. They also have a restaurant by the castle which is quite convenient. We can also walk along the lake from the castle which has a breathtaking view. The entire tour has a guided tour or a audio guide to know about the history. Tignes is a renowned ski resort with excellent skiing facilities and easy access to nearby resorts and amenities through reliable public transportation links. It features a funicular that takes visitors to a massive ski area, along with various options for eateries, hotels, shops, and even a lagoon. The ski area provides ample snow cover even in April, ensuring enjoyable skiing experiences for visitors of all skill levels. However, there are some outdated ski lifts that need replacing to improve the overall impression of the resort.
For the fourth time in this ski resort. Always plenty of snow, always nice weather !!! A place to return to. Remark, to replace a couple of old ski lifts which still spoils the impression a bit.
Marko Markovic — Google review
Having been to the relatively nearby Les Trois Vallées, I can say Tignes is comparable in many ways and offering a ski experience on par with its more premium cousin.
The resort boasts a large piste playground stretching over several key areas from the family-friendly Tignes (Le Lac, Val Claret, 1800) to the more advanced terrain of Val d'Isère with a wide range of pistes for different skill levels. Runs are great as they're groomed daily and the slopes receive tons of powder. Weather conditions can vary drastically throughout the week but we experienced some of the best conditions during our time with lots of bluebird days. And just as you think the snow's getting a little packed, fresh snow gets dumped to refresh the pistes. The resort is generally well-connected, allowing you to easily reach new areas to explore - otherwise, they have frequent shuttle buses that go between major stops around the resort.
The town is very walkable and has a decent range of dining options both on and off piste throughout the day and to kick back après ski.
Overall, it's a great resort with lots to offer for beginners and experts alike!

Been here twice this year, love it! Vast slopes to explore, 300km+ all connected with slopes or lifts, if you plan well , no need to take a bus but can always ski back to any places.

Direct access to slopes to a very large ski domein, a lot of snow, skiers are civilized, good to exquisite food on the restaurants. The landscape is spectacular. Hotels are in the architecture of the 80's but modernised will all necessary confort. Due to the attitude may be foggy and cold to frozen! Speak French, locals will appreciate it!

A super domain for skiing, with a lot of slopes for all levels. Great quality of the skiing schools with bilingual monitors. We’ll be back for sure.

Great position just below Grande Motte, restaurant food good and surprisingly not overly expensive. The Red Setter dog wandering around with "feed me" eyes was so lovely.
The Freddie Mercury Memorial statue is a shrine to all the fans who visit it. It is a bronze sculpture placed on the lakeside promenade in Montreux, Switzerland. The statue depicts Freddie Mercury, lead singer of the legendary rock group Queen, and is one of the most popular things to do in Montreux.
A place to visit! It's incredible the constant flow of people taking pictures and try to be close to his statue.. and of course, i did the same :)

A great place to stop by if you are a lover of Queen. I am sure this place gets a lot of attention during his birthday, and also his final day.
The man has made a huge impact on the world, and it can be seen by all this fans.
Swing by the old studio to get a feel for how things were done back then. Located inside the casino now.

It's true that Montreux can get quite crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons, and popular attractions like the Freddie Mercury statue can draw large crowds. Freddie Mercury's connection to Montreux is well-known, and the statue is a fitting tribute to his time spent in the town.
The quote he mentioned, "If you want peace of soul, come to Montreux," reflects the serene and tranquil atmosphere that Montreux offers, despite the occasional crowds. It's a place where visitors can find a sense of calm and relaxation, surrounded by the beauty of Lake Geneva and the mountains.
While it's understandable that the crowds can sometimes detract from the peacefulness of Montreux, taking a moment to appreciate the beauty and history of the town can help rekindle that sense of tranquility that Freddie Mercury found so appealing.

It's a statue alright! Interestingly enough, I was able to see it during a weekend celebration leading to his birthday, so many people were around. Unfortunately, the first and best set of pics (I took) were not backed up in my photos, so I had my husband text me one, and we went back to take some more. Nothing beat the evening shots I had the first time though.

Being a Queen fan, this was a must see while traveling from Switzerland to the Burgundy region of France. The Freddie Mercury statue is on the shore of Lake Geneva in Montreaux, a short distance from the Montreaux Casino (the Deep Purple song Smoke On The Water). It was very cool to finally see this in person.

The surrounding area was a little crowded and bustling due to the street market lining the promenade, but the statue itself is spectacular and easy to find while enjoying the views of the lake. Well worth the visit...

A must stop in your visit of Montreux. Excellent spot for a picture of the lake. Usually crowded with tourist which makes the environment uncomfortable. Just for a quick pit stop once not more.

Statue itself very good likeness, Montreux's lakeside is not as well kept as the adjacent town of Vevey which has well set out town amenities - affordable shopping, lively famers'market, antique and collectables market and a clean, inviting promenade lakeside used well by bathers and picnicers.

This is a public bronze statue of Freddie Mercury along the Montreux boardwalk. It's always surrounded by people so avoid visiting on a Saturday or any time midday if you want easy access to a photo. You also might enjoy reading through some of the fan mail at the foot of the statue.

Yes, it's only a statue, meaning: nothing much to do but to snap a picture, but if you love Freddie/Queen, it's sooo worth stopping by. There is something about being in the same places (Montreaux) an amazing artist like him has been that makes it such a moving experience. All the better to do it while enjoying a lovely walk next to a lake with beautiful views!

One of the most iconic mountains in Chamonix, Aiguille du Midi is a great place to take in breathtaking 360-degree views of the French Alps. You can reach the peak by cable car from Chamonix year-round, and it's well worth braving the cold for some incredible views.
Cable car will get you straight to top, where you can see beautiful view of nearby mountains and Mont Blanc, this is a clearly must see sight in Chamonix

Breathtaking views everywhere you look, it’s a unique experience being on this mountain. Highly recommend going beyond the beaten path of the cable car tour and exploring (climbing) if you have the time and physical fitness.

It is worth visiting even though the cable car is expensive and you might get instant altitude sickness.
It’s also a great point from which to admire Mont Blanc and it’s glaciers.
The views are very impressive.
Quite amazing

Before purchasing tickets for Aiguille du Midi, consider these factors:
The views are incredible, but if you plan to visit the Panoramic restaurant, booking in advance is essential. Alternatively, there's a coffee shop at the first cable car stop, which doesn't require booking.
Keep in mind that the cable car can shake, which might be challenging for those with labyrinthitis or a fear of heights. If you have heart or lung problems, it's advisable to seek advice before going.
Dress warmly with gloves, heavy clothing, and a hat, as it can be very cold. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen to protect your skin from the cold.

Go in summer season.
I stayed 4 days and due to strong wind the cable car didn’t run for 3 days. Only at the last day I could catch but only to see 2 hrs of nothing but white clouds.
I could finally have a 15mins window of something, but could be much better in summer. When there’s less wind and snow or rain

Reading the negative reviews you gotta laugh. They are about as helpful as complaining about lack of oxygen at the top.
Anyways. It’s a great experience. We thought it a little expensive at 69 euros but afterwards felt it was worth it.

Stunning and truly magical landscapes everywhere you look. Many people have pointed this out throughout all reviews here. And again, the price per ticket to the highest point is 74,- €. Expensive, but worth it for once.

Visiting Aiguille du Midi was an awe-inspiring experience that left us utterly amazed. This architectural marvel is a true testament to modern technology, offering a breathtaking feast for the senses. The towering height at which it's built is a feat that immediately captures your attention, and its proximity to Mont Blanc adds an extra layer of grandeur.
The journey to the top was just as remarkable as the destination. The two cabins that take you up are a fun and exciting part of the adventure, enhancing the overall experience. Despite the cloudy weather on the day of our visit, the panoramic views from Aiguille du Midi were still utterly breathtaking. The way the clouds enveloped the mountains added a touch of mystique to the scene.
One of the most delightful surprises was the restaurant at the top. Not only does it offer a variety of delicious food options, but the quality was also impressive, considering the altitude. The assortment of beverages available was also a nice touch, allowing us to unwind while taking in the stunning vistas.
A small detail that stood out was the cleanliness of the facilities, particularly the toilets. Even at such a high altitude and remote location, they were impeccably maintained, contributing to the overall pleasant experience.
What added to the charm of our visit was the fact that it wasn't very crowded. We could truly immerse ourselves in the beauty of the surroundings without feeling rushed or crowded by tourists.

Beautiful cable car experience!
We bought our tickets for my daughter's sweet 16 birthday. It was incredible. Just be warned it is quite hard to breathe at the top level. Not so much outside, but inside the buildings it was difficult to catch our breath.
Stunning glacier views. There is moderate hiking trails at the lower level, as well as a outside bar and cafe. Truly an unforgettable time!

This ride up to the summit is an incredible, unforgettable experience. I went in April as a family of 4 with kids aged 10 & 8 and we loved it all - especially the Pipe and Step into the Void glass box which was awesome even in the cloud and snow, so doing it on a clear day would be even more amazing. It wasn’t a busy day so we enjoyed no waiting times and plenty of space to look around the different features of the experience - the tunnel and the 360 platforms were a massive highlight. The views are breathtaking and it’s so peaceful to be so high into the mountains. The experience is so well thought out with tonnes of different sections, views and exhibits. We stopped at the Plan d l’Aiguille Terrasse at 2317m the first stop point in the cable car journey on the way up to acclimatise and take in the views at that height before continuing on up and taking the second car up to the Piton Nord summit. My youngest did suffer with the altitude after being at the very top for nearly an hour so it’s worth considering not spending too long up there with kids and to pay attention to how you’re feeling as it can come on suddenly. We ordered croque toasties and a hot dog in the cafeteria which were good, but pricey, so take a picnic up with you if you want to limit the cost of the trip. Overall, given everything you see and how mind blowing it all is to experience in a few hours, the price of the ticket is more than worth it. The journey back down is just as much of a thrill as you look back up to the summit and question whether you were really all the way up there in the clouds - my favourite part on the way up and back were the three sections in the cabling where the car passed through a joining bit and did an unexpected bump and tipped a bit before speeding up an whooshing faster and everyone when woahhh in unison. The whole day was an unforgettable rush!

Just Amazing!!! The Mont Blanc Unlimited Pass includes access and the lift up which is better than paying separately. It also includes train and entrance to Mer de Glacé. Doing both in one day with lunch in between is a great way to spend one of your days in Chamonix.

Absolutely worth the ticket price to get up high and see the Chamonix valley and the unique Alpine vistas. It will be cold at any time of year (even mid summer) so wrap up warm and enjoy. Climbers with the appropriate gear can step out onto the ridges and explore.

The place is magnificent! The cable car ride by itself is already an attraction! It is quite unbelievable the engineering efforts to construct it, and the ride to the top of Aiguille du Midi is thrilling!
The view is amazing and it is a must! The price per person is not the cheapest one, but when you remember the unique experience, the cable car and the infrastructure, it becomes worth it.

Excellent program, buy tickets online (if possible) or go there early. It is a privilege to visit this incredible facility, check weather forecast before you decide to go. You will have time to do sightseeing in Chamonix between buying your tickets and getting into your cabine.

What a wonderful place ! Worth the tour even if the lift price is … too expensive ! I really recommend to take a Mont Blanc Unlimited pass to have other tours and activities as the price is almost the same than Aiguille du midi !
You may feel a bit « sick » when you arrive but don’t panic, you will just need time to feel better
To have access to the platform View point, you will have to wait 30min to take beautiful pictures
Wear warm and hot clothes ! The temperatures are super cold
You even have a small cinéma to watch the story of High peaks ! Enjoy !

We took a cable car from Chamonix to Aiguille du Midi and, as our guide said, it was spectacular.
Absolutely wonderful views (we were lucky as it was very sunny weather). I was able to see Mont Blanc and take some great pictures from the 'window'. We were advised that oxygen would be 40% lower, so we took it easy on the stairs and tried to take deep breaths. I would recommend taking some sunscreen as it is very bright.
I was disappointed with the staff and their attitude - especially the guy who was responsible for letting people in by cable train (very rude, not helpful at all when we needed some support). Similar story with the lady who was taking pictures in the window. There is no need to be rude to people as they only want nice holiday pictures. They should take some customer service course or pretend to be happy.
Apart from that, I would recommend going to the top as it is worth experiencing.

Oh, the views . . . But be careful if you are planning to buy tickets in advance as you might not be able to go up. When we arrived, they were not letting people up due to poor weather conditions, but after a couple of hours' wait, they opened up. Although it was a bit cloudy when up there, I was happy with the views. Be mindful of difficulty to breathe as well as walk when up there, literally breathtaking ✨️ 😊

Aquariaz is a waterpark located at the Avoriaz ski resort, featuring a tropical theme and various recreational facilities. The park boasts of a lazy river, half-pipe attraction and several pools for visitors to enjoy. It's an ideal place for children with attractions such as baby pool, fun slide, and other activities suitable for older kids. This aquatic center is also known for its cleanliness, making it a perfect destination to have some aquatic fun without worrying about hygiene issues.
Great place for when the weather is bad! Just really a shame the outdoor jacuzzi pool is not larger as its always packed.

The pool is warm with great facilities and the kids’ water play area is fun for kids to explore. It got very crowded in late afternoon though. They sent some photographers to take photos for people there but the photos are a rip-off. It is actually cheaper to get them online afterwards than to purchase at the spot. I am quite upset that I have now found out I paid more than I need to for a family photo.
Alva Wan — Google review
A nice break from skiing, this pool is perfect for going when the weather is too bad to ski. Some lazy river routes, pools to swim and fun for the kids. There's even an outside jacuzzi. Can be quite busy, the only downside was children throwing snow at each other and splashing in the outside pool with no life guard or parents to tell them to stop - this was quite off-putting so I'm only rating it 4*. Changing rooms ok, a bit small cubicle sizes. Overall ok, it's the only water park pool in the area so I can't be picky.
Bex Middleton — Google review
You have to park and walk 5 minutes to get to the pool. It was very crowded and not as warm as I expected. There is no Steam room or Sauna. The doughnut slide is thrilling, but you have to queu for 5-15 minutes to get on and it only lasts 20 seconds. The plants are nice and the kids area is good for smaller children.
Bathsheba Weiss-Lijn — Google review
Really nice swimming pool to spend your last afternoon and get a shower before your trip home. Ask the person at the slide to spin your tire, it's awesome.
Jacuzzi outside is great, 10/10 would get hit by a snowball thrown from the overhead skilift again.
Only gripe is the temperature of the water: it's a few degrees too cold, especially inside.

It was a mixed experience. First, it is a fun place to spend a couple of hours. The lazy river is nice and slidewinder is a fun. However, the place is small, and can be crowded even on a workday. My main problem though was that the water was cold. Really cold, and not just to me, you could see people shivering and trying to get warmed in the infants area, where the water was slightly warmer, though very shallow. The park claims that the water is 30 C, but judging by my feeling, it is WELL below 30 C. Maybe they measure it at the point of heating, and there it is 30 C, but not in the pool. The temperature in the "jacuzzi" was even according to the park claims below 33 C, not 34 C. So, dear park, please take heating the water seriously.
Andrey Katz — Google review
My first review ever because it has to be shared.
If you are hoping to enjoy a hot tub/jacuzzi, this is not the place. There is only an outdoor jacuzzi and it is not even as warm as a bath. Add to that the complete lack of supervision and there is no place to relax and enjoy the nature outside for a minute. When we first went outside, a large group of kids and adults were having a snowball fight, with no regard for anyone not in their group (not Aquariaz's fault, but also something they can act on and keep an eye out for - yes I did speak a lifeguard on duty, and spoke up while outside). I might sound like an old grouch, but I was hoping not to get multiple snowballs to the head and back this afternoon. There is also no hot tub/jacuzzi inside, so no chance to truly warm up inside. I ended up going back to the showers for 5-10 minutes to warm myself up so I could stay for a bit more time (my partner had wanted to try the place out, so trying to last a little longer).
The main pool water is a good temperature (if there was somewhere else you could warm up from time to time) and the lazy river concept is nice. The "rock climbing" wall is only to be done horizontally to get to the rope swing and for taller adults, the depth of the pool under the rope swing is not significantly different to the rest of the main pool.
The redeeming quality to the waterpark is the adult slide. A good little adrenaline rush so had a few tries at that (though be careful of your feet against the sidewall at the bottom exit).
My local public pool is a much more pleasant experience.
Avoriaz is one of the 12 resorts in the Portes du Soleil skiing area. It provides more than 600 km of slopes and is an ideal location for families to learn how to ski. The resort is situated at an altitude of 1800m in the French Alps, and it starts snowing from early December.

A beautiful large ski resort. It can be quite steep and difficult to walk around. The weather cannot be helped, however in bad weather it can be difficult to get around. Lots of shops and restaurants, not much night life especially if you're staying below the gondola lift as it stops running at 9pm. Pros and cons, however this is my first ski resort so I'm unsure what to compare it against for now.

There is also Ice skating and a pool hall.

Lovely restaurants (booking necessary) and kids can safely hang out in the evening playing football or beach volley with other kids. Perfect for downhill mountain bike. We wanted to try the new electric scooter tours but the whole week was already booked up.

Avoriaz is great. For families it is almost unrivalled I'd say.
Having no traffic in the town centre is wonderful, although of course it does come with the (minor) inconvenience of having to trudge everywhere through various depths of snow.
The horse drawn sleds are lovely but they are expensive so unlikely that you'll use them a lot.
The Portes du Soleil is amazing BUT it's not very high so you really need a good snow year!

It's a high ski resort so
the rooms are small and very basic
The restaurants supermarkets and takeaways and other shops + pharmacies are incredibly expensive
Just paid 10euros for a large beer, under a pint
Fondue was 52 euros for 2
Most food and consumables are double UK prices
After all that, we had constant snow skiing is good . It was very busy, and at times the occasional 15 - 20-minute queue for a lift which can we worked around if you know where you're going.

I've been coming here for a few years and have to say it's an incredible resort.
Not only are there vast areas to ski at all levels, but it's the way they continue to keep the resort up to date in terms of lifts and skiing experience.
It almost feels that every time you come back there is a new high-speed chair or a modification to a run to make it that bit more interesting.
The runs are mainly blue, but they are fantastic, long, and interesting. Some being more suited to beginners and intermediates, and some getting a bit steaper to help people progress. The reds are then a welcomed challenge, with some being un grommed to give that mogal field joy we all love ;-)
The blacks are mostly ungroomed, with some being long and pretty steep in places to give a good challenge to those who want it. Granted, the blacks can often be closed depending on snowfall, but that is good to see in a way that they are looking out for the skiers who come here.
There is a vast amount of off piest skiing to be done as well for those who want the challenge.
I've skiied a good few resorts and do find myself comparing to la plagne just because of how well it's looked after and also because of the sheer volume of skiing to be done.
Well worth coming here if you can

It's the 2nd time here for my husband and I. We visited 5 years ago. The villages are all a bit different but It's a massive area with some great skiing. It has something for everyone.
Valerie Robinson — Google review
I spent the last week in March 2024 here. Was excellent. It's a group of small villages spread out over the mountain and all connected via lifts or buses.
The slopes themselves were massive, could easily spend a week exploring the mountain and never take the same run twice. It's geared more towards skiers, and I do wish there was some more green runs to just play around in and slow things down but it's not a deal breaker.
Nightlife is spread out across the villages and it's a couple bars that see most of the action. Nothing crazy.
Supermarkets do have some insane prices given the remote nature of the resort.
Lots of people take their dogs and there always playing in the snow which I love to see.
Great place overall.

La Plagne ski resort in France is an absolute gem! I recently had the pleasure of visiting this winter wonderland, and I was blown away by the quality of the slopes, the stunning scenery, and the friendly staff.
Firstly, the skiing experience at La Plagne is simply unparalleled. With over 225km of ski runs, there is something for everyone, from gentle beginner slopes to challenging black runs for the more advanced skiers. The slopes are impeccably maintained, with plenty of snowmaking machines ensuring that there is always a good base, even in warmer weather. The lifts are also modern and efficient, meaning that there are never long queues or waiting times.
Secondly, the scenery at La Plagne is absolutely breathtaking. Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, the resort offers stunning views of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and pine forests. Whether you're skiing down the slopes or enjoying a hot chocolate in one of the many cozy mountain cafes, you'll feel like you're in a winter wonderland.
Finally, I have to mention the staff at La Plagne, who truly went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. From the friendly ski instructors to the helpful hotel staff, everyone was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. It's clear that they take great pride in their work and in providing the best possible experience for their guests.
Overall, I can't recommend La Plagne ski resort highly enough. Whether you're an experienced skier or a first-timer, you'll love the stunning slopes, breathtaking scenery, and friendly atmosphere of this amazing resort.

Good resort, quite big so plenty to do. Lots of restaurants around as well so you won't go hungry. Lifts are good though none have covers for when it's super cold but that's not too much of a problem. A few nice slopes for beginners but quite a few of the blues are also quite steep.
Kate Busby — Google review
Fantastic ski resort with a wide variety of runs for all ski levels. Never had to wait too long for a lift, and runs were well groomed and sign posted.
Freddie Hemingway — Google review
Lovely ski area which is huge if you include the linked Les Arcs. Lots of nice restaurants and a very wide range of pistes.
There is a problem with queues at pinch points like Plagne Bellacott and 1800 when the ski schools leave and at the end of the day when everyone is trying to get home.
Jeff Bulled — Google review
Fantastic week of skiing, luckily perfectly timed. High enough for snow sure and even on Xmas day only waited 15min for lift.
Average meal with drinks 30-40 euro.
Recommended.

First time skiing, and this ski resort is amazing. La plagne bellecote is high up, which means you wake up to snow outside your apartment. There are many runs from bellecote and you can also go into other la plagne villages for more runs!

One of the best ski resorts with a warm and friendly atmosphere, with lots of blue slops, several villages and great food! You can find everything you need or want there!

Great ski resort especially for families. We were there in xmas week and we had great time. The snow quality was very good. There are many pistes for different levels and they all end at the same spot. There are many options for cafe and restaurants at the top and bottom of the mountains. There is an indoor galeri/shopping center very convenient for eating, drinking, shopping in the evenings. It also includes a cinema, ice skating area. In every 15 minutes there is a free bus makes it easy to move around la Plagne.
Railway to the Nid d'Aigle at the foot of the Bionnassay glacier, with 6 stops for hikers.
Pricey but well worth the money. We boarded from the first stop and got off at the last one (both ways).
It wasn't too crowded going up (13:15 slot) but it got very crowded when coming down.
The view was magnificent near end of july during a heatwave and clear sky.
We had lunch from the cafe next to the glacier while watching the view and it was breathtaking.
You will have to book your return slot when you arrive at the top so don't forget to do that right away and be ready to stand the whole ride. It takes longer than 1hr so board early and grab a window seat if you can.

It is called Mont-Blanc Tramway but never on the entire trip you get a glimpse of the famous mountain. Not in Summer 2023 anyway, when the ride ends at Mont Lachat station and most tourist are confused on why the Tramway would end at such a disappointing place. Wait till next year!
Dieter Marmet — Google review
The trip is beautiful and the view at the mountains and gletcher is spectacular.
But...the tram is overcrowded (up & down), like Covid-19 does not exist! They do not check if people have a 'passe sanitaire' or wear masks inside the tram: unbelievable.
Rogér Dudziec — Google review
Fantastic tramway with amazing views of Mont Blanc, the valleys below, and the towns nearby as you ascend on its west side. You definitely want to be on the right side on the way up and the left side on the way back down for the best views. Bring your lunch and take the 11am tram up and the 2pm tram back down if you don't plan to hike much, otherwise give yourself more time. There are cafes and restaurants, but if you cam,.pack your own!

Took this trip to explore more of the Mont Blanc range and wasn't disappointed. Incredible journey up the side of the mountains, sharing the trip with mountaineers who were off to the summit. Good choice of walks from the top - clothing for cooler weather & good footwear essential.

The cathedral of Lausanne, built in the Gothic style in the 12th century, is a masterpiece of ecclesiastical art. It towers above Lake Geneva and is considered one of Switzerland's most beautiful churches. Its ornate painted portal, belfry, and rose window are some of its most striking features. Restoration and construction continue to this day.
A must visit in Lausanne considering it’s free entry. An ancient church with a grand atmosphere. There is a counter in the church and you can make a payment of chf 5 to use the staircase up to the rooftop where the bell is and strike the bell. There is a panoramic view at the rooftop as well! Breathe taking view.

Amazing architecture. Incredible stained glass. Most of the building is open to visit. Nice outside picnic area with an amazing panoramic view of the city and lake.
Short but steep climb from the main street. If you like old buildings and stained glass, it's well worth the visit.

Beautiful place to spend evenings. Cathedral closes around 7PM but surrounding space can be accessed. Perfect spot to view Lausanne in all its glory.

A beautiful Cathedral with magnificent architecture. You can take photos. It's walking distance from the Lausanne station. The entry is free.
The interior rooms are huge and brilliant to look at.

Gothic style cathedral with fascinating stained glasses and beautiful architecture. They also have a free guided tour of the cathedral at certain timings. We went on a weekday and we were the only ones yet the guide was sweet enough to take us around and explain everything in detail. You can literally see the various timings(centuries) the cathedral was remodelled. Before visiting, just check if there is any organ concert is scheduled on the day. If so, you're in for a treat.
Vinitha — Google review
Very lovely place to visit. Great atmosphere with an over a millennium of history. It also has a fairly new organ designed by a famous Italian car designer.
It's free but I think it's worth it to pay for the tour.

We visited Lausanne on a day trip from Geneva. I read that this is Switzerland’s largest church and the finest. It was very impressive and glad we had a chance to visit it before they closed for the day.
Catherine Hunt — Google review
Definitely a must visit if you find yourself in Lausanne. The steep uphill walk is definitely not suitable to those with leg problems. But if you can afford to walk up there, visit this cathedral.
The decoration style is simple yet so majestic with the stained glass being so deep in colours and so meaningful it its designs. On one side, you have stained glass telling the story of Switzerland. On the other side, the stained glass tells the story of Christianity. And when you walk toward the end of the cathedral, there is a big rose shaped stained glass which will bless you with its beauty and peacefulness. You don't have to be a Christian to appreciate this.
Be sure to stop by and look at the scenery outside of the balcony by the cathedral too. The view from above will give you the refreshing feeling you need.
Ornwara Tritrakarn — Google review
A mesmerizing masterpiece. Its soaring ceilings, intricate stained glass, and serene ambiance create an awe-inspiring atmosphere. Don't miss the breathtaking rose window and the panoramic view from the tower. The pipe organ is also also an interesting discovery.
Whether you're an architecture enthusiast or seeking a moment of tranquility, this cathedral is a must-visit gem.

Beatiful old Cathedral with mosaic windows and possibility to walk up to the tower for a small fee. We were pleased to see this interesting historical building. There are about 220 steps to go to its top and enjoy the "birds view" of Lausanne and the lake. Strongly recommended also for families
Frantisek Trgo — Google review
Beautiful cathedral. Worth a visit. Often they have concerts at night. During the day you can often catch someone practicing the organ. If it is a beautiful day get a ticket to climb the stairs and go see the views from the top and also you can see where the guet (“cryer”)stays at night. The guet has been calling out the hours from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., 365 days a year from the tower of the cathedral. It is at least a 600 year-old tradition.

The Olympic Museum is a lavish museum dedicated to the history of the Olympic Games. It features interactive displays, temporary themed exhibitions, and site-specific sculptural works. The museum is located next to the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee.
Impromptu day trip to Lausanne from Geneva and we visited the Olympic Museum, which is timely. It was informative and had excellent displays of past Olympic events, athletes, medals, etc. There were lots of interactive activities & we especially enjoyed the exercises to test our balance and coordination. The outside was well maintained garden with architectural art and track.

I loved this museum!!! The temporary Paris 2024 Marathon was extraordinary as it detailed the history of marathons and was overall very inspiring. The free audio guides explained the permanent exhibit about the history of the Olympics very well. Walking through the gardens outside and seeing the statues was wonderful too. Lausanne is a beautiful city. I would recommend everyone to come here.

My visit to the Lake was so amazing. Annecy is a beautiful and peaceful city. The Lake had amazing views and it was simply picturesque.
The water was very clear and the rumours about the lake annecy having the cleanest water in Europe seemed true.
As a tourist to Annecy you definitely have to visit the Lake. There are alot of beautiful places to take nice pictures and after having a fun time at the lake there are a lot of restaurants and bars around you have a meal or drink at very affordable prices.
I will definitely be visiting again in the future as I love it so much my only challenge with the city is that it's very small so you there are no trains or trams to go around and I dont understand how the buses worked.

The St. Peters Cathedral in Geneva is a beautiful and historic church, which is widely considered as one of the best sightseeing places in the city. The cathedral features some interesting gothic elements, which makes it one of the most beautiful churches in the world. Additionally, the towers of the structure are incredibly beautiful and worth climbing if you're interested in seeing the city from a unique perspective.
We visited this 850+ year old cathedral which is impressive. We climbed St Peter’s Tower and had spectacular view of Geneva. It was an adventure since we climbed the first tower and walked across the other tower. It was awesome to be outdoor (not only see through windows) and view Geneva at different angles. It is super windy when we went.

The panorama view from the top of the cathedral is amazing. The entrance to the main hall of the cathedral is free. A ticket is needed to visit the south and the north towers. It costs 7CHF and there were no queues. However, prepare for a lot of small stairs to go up! There is no elevator. The view is really amazing, especially to the lake and it is worth the effort.

Very nice cathedral. The nicest parts is the chapel on the right from the entrance and the tower with its own labyrinth of terraces. Each offers a great view of the panorama of Geneve.

Must visit the north tower panoramic view of Geneva. It is a steep climb of probably 100 steps, but the view at the top is worthwhile! Pay 7chf extra for the ascend inside the church. I also find the side chapel room to be excellent w its beautiful stain glass work. The main church is not particularly impressive in comparison to many European major churches.

Great cathedral! They have tourist guides outside (FREE) that will give you a bit of history about 10-20 minutes. It’s amazing to see the bright stain glass windows and the big organ pipes. It took about 70 years to build and you can see the differences as they build the place. Worth the visit!

Absolutely amazing!
We went to the cathedral on a quiet Monday and bought tickets upon arrival to go all the way to the top.
The journey up there was definitely worth it as the views were just breathtaking! There are a couple of different levels on the way up to stop and take photos before continuing to the very top so plenty of opportunities to take it all in and enjoy!
It wasn’t all that busy either, which was a real benefit. This is a must-do in Geneva - you can’t get sights like this anywhere else in the city!

As an historical monument worth a look but in terms of a cathedral architecture and design I’ve been in much more impressive ones. Free entry of course. Stained glass was interesting to note there was not much in way of saints and figures, which I found surprising. The small chapel near the exit is highlight with painted and decorated ceiling and door way so don’t miss that.

Beautiful cathedral and a must-do viewing tower to see the stunning landscape of Geneva. The stairs to get up are very narrow and steep. Cost around 11 CHF for one adult and one child

St Pierre Cathedral used to be a Roman Catholic Church converted to Protestant church during reformation. The stained glass windows are stunning. While entry to the cathedral is free, you have to pay some entry fee to get to the tower, from where you get a nice view of Geneva.

An exquisite protestant church in the heart of the old town in Geneva. Worth a visit along with a walking tour of the old town to get a feel of the times gone by! I unfortunately visited on a public holiday, hence the church was closed. Very interesting to walk along the narrow pathways, as i heard of many secret passages as part of the Cathedral and its surrounding architecture!

Visited here a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed. The staff were friendly; and after purchasing some reasonably priced tickets we were able to climb the stairs to get to the top of the cathedral, where we got incredible views of the city and surrounding scenery. There was a very effective 'traffic light' system which kept the rooms nearly empty (allowing you to enjoy the building without large crowds distrupting your experience). There were plenty of rooms and corridors along the top of the Cathedral allowing you to spend a decent amount of time there, and also allowing us to get 360° views from each side of the cathedral of the city/scenery. Definitely worth visiting during your trip in Geneva.

A huge (gothic) cathedral with a view. There some 160 stairs to the top, the staircases are super narrow and operated by traffic lights. You can see the church roof both from inside and outside, you can check the bells too. The towers are definitely worth the visit (for a small fee 5-7chf, paid inside the church).

What a beautiful structure.
We paid seven Swiss francs to tour the towers, which was worth it for the view.
There are a lot of small steps to go up the tower and back down the other tower.

St. Pierre Cathedral stands as a remarkable architectural marvel, showcasing centuries of craftsmanship and artistic brilliance. The soaring spires and intricate details of the facade create a visual spectacle that captures the imagination from the outset. The interior, with its grand vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows, offers a tranquil space for spiritual contemplation.
Despite the cathedral's undeniable beauty, my recent visit on Christmas Eve was marked by a regrettable incident. As the only brown individuals in attendance, we couldn't help but notice a lack of diversity. While the architectural magnificence was undeniably present, the experience was marred when, upon returning choir booklets, a lady volunteer exhibited an unfortunate lack of warmth. Her strange stare and the abrupt manner in which she pulled the booklet from our hands left a lasting negative impression.
Despite this unfortunate incident, St. Pierre Cathedral remains a must-visit for those appreciating architectural wonders and seeking a glimpse into Geneva's rich history. It is my hope that future visitors encounter a more inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.

A magnificent cathedral with classic tall beam structures, glasswork and historical wooden interiors (such as choir stands from the 1500’s), an interesting visit and there is no entrance fee. Definitely has that holy feel, even if you aren’t religious. So full of history it would be a shame not to visit, so highly recommend stopping by!!
The Vieille Ville Annecy, a popular tourist attraction, is characterized by its well-preserved medieval Old Town. Visitors can enjoy wandering around the area without any specific purpose and admire the emerald-green canals that run beneath ancient stone bridges. The pastel-painted buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries are another noteworthy feature of this charming town, which basks in the warm sunlight.
Gorges du Fier is a natural wonder in France, featuring a 300-meter-long and 70-meter-deep gorge with a river flowing through it. It's open for several months each year and offers an easy, picturesque walk suitable for families. The footbridge provides stunning views of the impressive rock formations, and there's even a cafe on-site serving hot food.
Breathtaking masterpiece by the nature! The trail is easy and secured to walk through. Entrance tickets are fairly worthy for its magnificent view and its maintenance.

Quite crowded when we went on a Saturday afternoon, which ruins a bit the experience. The walk is otherwise spectacular, albeit a bit short. They advertise up to an hour round trip but you could easily do it in half hour. It is mostly flat, so no big effort needed

Great walk with amazing views.
Recommend when its hot, since you will be hidden "under the ground" surrounded by nature and water...

Nice place for a half day trip from Annecy. The walk is easy and suitable for children and you can do it in about 1 - 1.5 hours. We visited in october and it wasn`t crowded.
There are information panels about how the place was formed and you can search for different shapes in the rocks.

Beautiful place, amazing nature. When I went it was September so not many people ( it can be busy in the summer) it's not long walk, and it's very easy. Around 30 minutes one way, you come back the same way. There is also very nice Caffè with hot food. Short walk to see the castle if you wish.there is no public transport there though, so just by car.

About a decade ago there was no charge now entry costs €5.60 per adult. Quite large crowds, passage does not take more than 20-30 minutes depending on the number of people. No mountain shoes required - I even saw a woman with crutches😀. For a family walk ok.

Amazing place, free car parking. Probably need a good hour to walk the Gorges suspended walkways. Cafe restaurant and gift shop. Eco waterless toilet

I wish I could have a bit more time to walk the whole route. It is absolutely stunning. If you have fear of heights this walk could be a bit daunting, especially if there is a lot of tourist. But it is fun for anyone who loves a bit of adventure.

Dogs not allowed!

Insanely touristy, lots of parking lots, you have to pay entry to go to the actual gorge and lots of people and children. That said hiking in and around that area is very entertaining but the actual gorge isnt great.

Great walk in a narrow canyon on a footbridge suspended 150 feet above the river below.
La Fontaine des Éléphants is a beautiful monument erected in December 1838 to honor the General-Comte de Boigne. Located in the old town of Chambery, it is marked by street signs leading to its center. The fountain features four splendidly designed elephant statues that spray water through their trunks, making it the most famous attraction in the city.
A beautiful fontaine, statue with an interesting story.

3.5🌟 we reckon.
On the way back from Annecy to Grenoble, we decided to stop in Chambery. It was still early.
We were pleasantly surprised that the town has lots to offer too. We parked near the main square. As usual, there are lots of restaurants, cafes, ice-cream parlours at the square.
Decided to stroll further after our evening drinks. We arrived at the fountain. Most fountains in larger towns we have seen are always grand and somewhat of a center piece. This one is no different.
The elephants have their backs again the fountain, which is of course a defensive posture. As if to tell everyone, they are protecting the fountain.
Walking further, we were greeted by several other monuments within the town.
A worthwhile stopover with many sights to see.

Beautiful monument and fountain with 4 elephants, 1 on each side spraying water through their trunks. Surrounded by streets that are pleasant to walk and many stores to do some shopping. It is freely accessible and well lit at night. An iconic symbol of the city created to honour a general.

La Fontaine des Éléphants in Chambéry is a true gem. The beauty of the sculpted elephants is simply breathtaking and the attention to detail is amazing. The fountain is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a peaceful and serene place to relax. The atmosphere is peaceful and calming, and it's a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. I highly recommend visiting La Fontaine des Éléphants for anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful oasis in Chambéry. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this stunning fountain is not to be missed.

A large fountain with elephants on four sides. Water spouts from the trunks so when it's hot, you can have an elephant cool you a bit

There's lot's of beggars and homeless in the vicinity who disturb you by photoshooting.
Restaurants around the square are nice, though. With a nice scene for photography.

Such a unique sight seeing at the center if Chambéry. A very beautiful fountain with great history. It’s located at the entrance of the old city of Chambery which is also a unique path to walk since the architecture is so really beautiful.
Lac du Bourget is a stunning body of water that is surrounded by majestic mountains and scenic paths. It is also home to the popular spa resort town of Aix-les-Bains. Although some visitors have expressed concern about dogs swimming in the lake, it remains one of the most peaceful lakes in the world, with crystal clear water and breathtaking views of nearby castles. Visitors can enjoy boat trips on the lake or dine on board while taking in the picturesque surroundings.
Love the clear water and the view on the mountains from the lake

Actually very beautiful lake but I wouldn’t swim there because of many dogs swimming there. I don’t know why the city allow that, especially now during coronavirus time, could’ve believed my eyes. Many cities banned that already. The meat based excrement dogs leave behind can cause risk of toxicara and diseases in humans. Dog poo and urine can also affect water quality.

Amusement park with roller coasters & rides for young children, plus an island-themed water park.
A very nice amusement park that can be done in a day time. The attractions here range from soft and slow to extremely thrilling.
They have several rollercoasters, water rides, chill rides for adults and kids. A dedicated eating spot is also available for when hunger hits.
I should not forget to mention the staff. The staff members are extra nice too.
Overall a very fun place for a family visit.
Roni A. — Google review
It a nice small park good for young children. If you are visiting it for the first or second time then you may feel different however, I have visited it at least once every year and it's been a long time since they have introduced any new rides to the park or any changes if any at all. Food options are very minimal and staff do not speak English 98% of the time. Shops are very basic and shows are very limited.
A. D. — Google review
Don't go there if you're not thin. Above a L or 46, you will not fit in most rides. The staff was really nice and kind about it but I felt thorougly humiliated. They gave me fast passes for other rides instead but I couldn't fit either, and I'm an 48/0XL. It was even more demorilizing as I've lost a lot of weight recently lol
I gave 2 stars for the really really nice staff who were very kind to me and checked that I was doing fine as kids were making fun of me. For context, this never happened in any other parks I did in Europe, including Walibi Belgium and Disney for example. I wish their rides were more inclusive.

We didn’t expect much but our experience was great! It was nog too crowded (monday, first week of july) and well maintained. There were 2 shows which were very entertaining. We got a week dated ticket with a burger for lunch for just under 30 euros per person. It was well worth it.
Pleunie Maas — Google review
I had the opportunity to visit here over the summer and was pleasantly surprised by how charming and fun this little park was. Of all the rides there, my personal favorite was TImber as it felt very fast paced and did a great job combining thrills into a family coaster. Most of the park looks very nice after all the changes in the past couple years and I am very exited to see the new updates next year when they build their newest area!
Theodoros Maheras — Google review
Very clean and well maintained park. Staff is super friendly and helpful and the rides are fun and entertaining for adults, youth and younger kids. Toilets are also very clean. Ride waiting times are clearly displayed throughout the park. The live show we saw was definitely entertaining.
We went on a Friday in July and the queues were generally less than 10 minutes on most rides. Everyone had a blast and I can highly recommend going here for a day.
Small note for Apple users; if you order your tickets online (much cheaper that way) and use the “hide my email” feature (aka private relay) you won’t receive any tickets by mail. This is a known issue on their side. Make sure you save your proof of payment and reservation ID and visit to the service desk at the entrance of the park and they will fix it for you.
Have fun!

Had a lovely day out here. Queues weren't too long and most of them had a good amount of shade. The park was clean and tidy and the facilities were clean too. The food was good and not too expensive. If you have younger children or it is a really hot day(which it was when we went) take towels and swimwear as the splash park is a great place to cool down. All in all, a really good day out for all the family.

Purchase tickets at least 3 days before - and you will be in for a treat. Took my son for his birthday, which is just before Halloween. Dr Mystic and his spooky crew made it a day to remember. Yes - the wait was long for some of the rides - but it was worth it.
Great atmosphere, great rides, great day. Thank you to all the lovely staff at Walibi!!

The Royal Monastery of Brou is a flamboyant Gothic-style monastery renowned for its ornate marble royal tombs and oak choir stalls. Founded in the early 1500s as a burial place for the Dukes and their families, it was established by Margaret of Austria. Visitors can explore the vast interior for a small fee, with interactive displays and videos bringing its history to life. The monastery houses a large collection of artworks, traditional wooden toys, and intricate architecture.
A truly beautiful monastery. The vast majority of the interior is open to visit for a small entry fee. Interactive displays and videos bring the history of this great building to life. A large collection of artworks, traditional wooden toys and intricate architecture provides a pleasure filled visit for all. Learn about the history of monarchs who resided here or see how the building was constructed and adjusted over the years. This really is the crowning jewel of any visit to Bourg-en-Bresse. A must visit.

Took my breath away. The artisitic detail on the choir area, the beautiful stained glass windows (whose features included "textured" glass, making the clothes look like velevet or silk!), and the prominent paintings by famous artists, were all so fantastic. this small town lies on a hill east of Lyon. it takes around 45 minutes to drive to this authentic medieval town. The current rebuild dates back to the mid 1400's. it has long been an important area for trade and early warning to Lyon of approaching armies. around 400 people live within the walls. there are a few businesses that can support tourists (restaurant, shops), but not many. A two hour visit accompanied by a knowledgeable guide can provide insight into the 500 year history of this place

It is beautiful but neglected.
The place is far from Lyon.
I liked the place but it is better to go in the fall because the insects are really annoying.
The animals are clean.
There are restaurants, but I do not know why they are always closed. If you have children, it is better to take your snaks with you.
In general, it is worth a try
Note:
They decorate for Halloween very nice and perfect.

Excellent day at the bird park. I was there for the second time and all the family found some interesting things to do including kids. The new area dedicated to Africa is really well presented. Another good point is that there are a lot of places to make a picnic and playgrounds for children. I also recommend the observation tower to have a good overview of the park. Finally, the bird show in the afternoon is a must see.

Our 3rd visit to this park. We love it. Our kids love it. My folks love it. Always something new to see. Always clean. The birds and other animals seem happy and well cared for. Saw one of the shows this time - for the first time - and it was brilliant. We will be going again on our next trip to the area.

THE best bird park/ontological exhibit I have seen. The handlers and keepers of the birds should be commended- they are behind the scenes but they obviously care for their charges. Parking lot, D1083, 01330 Villars-les-Dombes, France
Mini World Lyon is an indoor tourist attraction that showcases intricately designed miniature models of both urban and natural environments. It's an ideal spot for families with children, as there are a plethora of small yet intricate details to explore and enjoy. The exhibition features light and music shows, and the displays continue to expand over time. With easy access from the nearby commercial center's free parking lot, visitors can spend hours exploring the exhibits regardless of their language skills; all miniatures have descriptions in French and English.
Myself and my kids loved this small, quirky museum. You could easily spend a long time here because there are so many details to explore. The creators of the mini worlds have a brilliant and bonkers sense of humour - some of the scenes are hilarious with random penguins, dinosaurs and monkeys scattered around, and people in compromising situations. An added bonus is the 3d cinema showing 2 short films. Free entry with the Leon City Card.
Also very quiet - probably because it's a bit out of the city centre.

Lyon's mini world proves to be an astonishing experience. The level of enjoyment it provided surpassed my expectations. It serves as an excellent destination for individuals of all ages, catering to both children and adults alike. The meticulous attention to detail in every little piece is commendable, and an added delight lies in discovering renowned characters discreetly concealed amidst the crowd, a delightful endeavor for visitors.

I kept avoiding to visit this place for some reason but finally went. It was nothing like I'd expected. I loved that place. Suddenly I became a kid once again. The place was huge and magical, full of small details. And you got to find small dinosaurs 🦕
Veronika's life — Google review
I came here because it was included in the Lyon City Card and I enjoyed my time here (even though it seems like it’s more for kids). They have a lot of displays with miniature dolls and scenes. They even give you a booklet to try to find all the popular ones like Marilyn Monroe, Aliens, Mary Poppins, Harry Potter, Nemo, Jurassic Park, etc. I wouldn’t come here again alone (as an adult), but I would definitely come here with kids and easily spend 2h: trying to find all the characters. It also wasn't crowded when I came during the weekend.
Alex — Google review
I'm absolutely obsessed with this place! In terms of square meters, it's not really that big. However, because the displays are made of miniatures, there's so much to see. I thought I would maybe spend 30-45 minutes here, but before I knew it, two hours had passed by. There are so many interesting and silly details to explore in the displays, such as someone hanging on for dear life off a derailed roller coaster cart and a murder scene in an apartment building. The mini Lyon feature is amazing. It has all the important Lyon landmarks, although some stuff isn't geographically correct, but who cares when it's all there and accurately depicted. If you're a local, the annual pass is totally worth it because it's just a hair over two times the cost of one adult admission. This is a family-friendly place, but adults will enjoy it as much as the kids will.
Nathan T — Google review
Quite an amazing place, not what we expected. Great quality of the miniatures and the diorama. Attention to details is visible. Lot's of funny elements too. Worth a visit. Takes about 2 hours to see it all.
Michał Przech — Google review
Look no further for a super entertain the kids on a wet afternoon adventure. It's anybody who ever had a model railway dream trip out but it's also created with stunning attention to detail and a sense of humour in the "who is where and with whom" miniature crowds (expect film stars, musical heros, Disney characters even Telly Tubbies in a golf-cart!). Enough to keep keen eyed adults busy. The moving parts are not just model trains but vehicles, ski lifts, dancers and scaters too.
Every 20-minutes the whole exhibition goes from dawn to dusk and tiny streetlights, car headlights and illuminated hoardings plus night skies reveal a new vision of mini world.
Finally, a three set display of Lyon's landmarks that gets a fête de la lumiere display at night.
Decent WCs, free lockers, stroller parking area and a café inside.
Don't miss,...look over the controllers' shoulders at all the CCTV cameras, as several screens give the view from the trains.
Visit time, allow at least a couple of hours. And, it's a short walk from the T3 tram.
