Forest Park of Surprises
Amusement park
Nature & Parks
In addition to roaming deer & bison, this striking open-air zoo features raptor & owl shows.
We liked this place a lot. You can just stroll with animals and feed them. No cages)) Plus there’s an amusement area for children.

The park is very nice. Definetely not suitable for baby stroller or handicapped people.
There are a lot of animals and it's nice to feed them.
I only give it 4 stars because the playground area is pretty old and could be renewed a bit.
Darius Muresan — Google review
The park is beautifully situated on a mountain slope, roe deer wandering freely, which you can feed and wonderful views - these are the advantages. Cons - tickets are definitely too expensive for this type of attractions, no markings, and the plan received at the entrance is not legible, the playground remembers the previous era and should be restored. Alley of fairy tales - a nightmare that you don't want to dream of. Definitely not suitable for the elderly and handicapped people and for prams.

Nice cheap day out for the family, two flying displays, owls and other birds of prey. Lots of animals running wild in the park, goats, deer and alpacas. A small amusement park in the summer with games for the kids and places to. Bar and hot food served at the top of the park all year around. Good wholesome day out feeding the goats and donkey.
craig mccormick — Google review
We love it, little one even more. Wild birds show worth to whatch.
Michael Nosek — Google review
Great experience with my family even on a rainy day. The birds of pray show was breathtaking and the beautiful forrest animals we saw were already worth the ticket price. Additionally, the stuffed animal and antlers display was very informative and you can touch. Did not expect to see the racoons. :-) Other than that the carousels were dismantled in winter and the fairytale display a bit dated, but it gave us a laugh. We used up the whole bag of the feed purchased at the gate feeding some hungry deers.
Warning: To get there you have to hike up along unpaved road, or find a parking spot, which due to the building site works are limited.
Pro tip: Hotel Diament two streets below is a delicious gourmet spot for lunch/dinner afterwards.
Paula Lina — Google review
Great place for family, not a place for trolley. flying events are on the clock, but both were at least 10min late.
And the workers who were feeding the animals didnt allowed us to feed the lamas or goats.. dont understand why. So its not worth to buy the bag of food that they sell there.

Great experience, i strongly suggest visit owl cage, and ask one owl few question. This owl is always answering Noooooo !
Noooooo !

Fantastic place to visit with children, the animals are really confortable with humans around and you can observe them without any problems, only downside is the hig uphill you need to walk to see the Howl
Andrea (Frontline) — Google review
It's a really great place to visit and experience wild animals from a close distance. Most of the time it is overrun with millions of children, but this is worth visiting even for adults.
The only thing I really did not like was the birds chained closely to be presented to viewers. Personally for me it was a sad view not entertaining. But the rest looks OK and animals seem to have a lot of space to roam around.
Piotr Jażdżyk — Google review
Great place to take the kids, the dear and doe are a little shy but if you can stay quiet and have patience then they'll feed out of your hands.
Great experience for all, food, drink and play area at the venue. Great views and plenty of hills to tire the little ones out
Dean Scott — Google review
Pretty cool little park!
It's not too long to go through, along you can meet animals walking around the place freely. They even allow you to buy some food to give it to them along the way.
The highlight is definitely the bird show, where you get to see how they feed and train their eagles and other birds.
Nagifur — Google review
Nice place, kids between 3 and 12 would enjoy it the most. And adults too!
Mattia Rosa — Google review
a great place to spend time with your loved ones. the possibility of communing with animals of our Polish forests. animals have already become accustomed to visitors and, above all, to children. the part with birds and the show of flying predators deserve attention. for PLN 32 per person, you can spend a nice day. When choosing a place, remember a few important things: good, comfortable shoes, because walking is a lot steep and rocky. if you are going with small children do not take the pram. downside is the waiting time at the checkout. the owner should take care of more bandwidth. I highly recommend this place.
Mountain featuring various hiking/biking routes, a chairlift to the summit & an observation tower.
Great place with watch tower on the top and restaurants promising good Czech draftbeer and Polish grill and sausages. All of it is sourrounded by a forest and a great landscape. I am always happy to be here on Czech-Polish "state border" which is rather a tourist attraction then a barrier between this two geatful people.

Baroque castle, with preserved late 1800s interiors, plus miniatures & armoury exhibits, & concerts.
Highly recommended for a fun, nice day. The palace is amazing and the park is great (you can rent bikes or boats). The city offers nice food and other attractions. I advise to arrive early in the day.

We visited this beautiful castle museum yesterday. Amazing interiors that make a great impression and provide a feast for the eyes. A place that will show you and allow you to get closer to history. Each interior will take you on an extraordinary journey.

Beautiful place, well maintained. We had a great experience there. It's a must when visiting Pszczyna. Opted for an audio guide (available in Polish, English, German) and it was an excellent choice. If you want a tour of the castle with a guide you need to book and pay a week in advance.

Great place for a short trip. The impressive castle and a large beautiful park are definitely worth your attention
Iryna Avramenko — Google review
The place is huge and inside there are a lot of interesting things. The personal is more than the tourists and most of them don't speak English but insist that you are wearing mask.. It is insane because you even without mask is hard to breathe. It is easy to see the pictures then to humiliate yourself
Vassil Koutin — Google review
A superb palace both outside and inside. Rich in beautiful exhibits, elegant and interesting interiors. The surrounding park is lovely, there are many trees offering shade, wide alleys, plenty of space, no crowds. There is even a tea room by the palace's lake and you can row a boat. The Old Town is also worth a stroll. Everything altogether reminds me of Berlin's Potsdam, but on a micro-scale. Overall 6 stars.
Beata ?ugowska-Prus — Google review
This palace is BEAUTIFUL and was a true surprise given how the "plain" the outside is. It is amazing that 80% of the Castle is original including the wallpapers, carpets and furniture. We had a tour and our guide was super knowledgeable.
The room of mirrors is magical and needs to be experienced in person.
Carol B — Google review
I would consider it the main attraction!
A place that you absolutely have to visit, once you are in Pszczyna!
Buying tickets online will save you time!
I definitely recommend buying the audio-guide, like I would in any museum you visit: You just triple the impact, at least!
Also very recommended is the armory, which is included in the audio-guide.
Prince’s Stables I would consider as optional, more for horse-fans.
There is no audio-tour available for the Prince’s Stables.
Very impressive and diverse castle with influences of different epochs.
With audio-guide (including armory tour with audio-guide) it takes about 2 hours for both.
You will definitely leave very impressed!

Most primitive castles. Anyone who is interested in history and kings life style and their choice of furniture, this is one of those places where you find everything that relates to the king's family and kings life .

An amazing stately home which is quite spectacular, the vastness of some of the rooms like the Mirror room and also the main staircase is breathtaking. The house also has a wonderful armoury exhibit in its basement which houses items from all over the world. A must see again if in the area

Definitely recommended to visit. Very rich interior and a large collection of preserved items. We had to queue for about half an hour, but it was worth it.
Olga Sapyolkina — Google review
I really like it there, so beautiful 😍💖👏🏽👏🏽🤩🤩 and it is often described as one of the most beautiful castle residences in Poland 🇵🇱 so many interesting to see there, even if you don’t really care or know much about history (as I am) but I really really enjoy the tour today!! Highly recommend 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Nikiszowiec, a famous area with a rich history, is renowned for its redbrick flats. These were constructed as part of an organized housing estate for laborers and include green spaces, commercial centers, and educational establishments. The St. Anne's Church features ornate domes made of tiles and a grand pipe organ in baroque style. Furthermore, the Industrial Ethnography Museum showcases replica mining lodgings from Katowice.
The Silesian Museum, situated in Katowice, Poland, is a unique cultural destination that showcases the history and art of the Silesian region. Built on an old coal-mining site, it features underground galleries and exhibits on different topics, including impressive artifacts and historical events. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions that focus on specific themes.
A museum located in Katowice, Poland. The first time I went to that region, I had the opportunity to travel. You can see quite impressive artifacts and historical events. In addition, an incredibly beautiful painting exhibition fascinates you inside the museum.
Habip KAZAN — Google review
Great museum and exhibition centre. It's huge so be prepared to walk a lot. For art lovers, it's heaven so they can spend the whole day there. The entry price is also very cheap. It cost 40 pln for an adult and a child, which is around £8. Don't carry many things with you as you will be asked to keep your jackets and bags in the cloak room they provide for free. Overall, it was a very nice experience.
Abhijeet Roy — Google review
Fantastic place, full of Silesian history and culture. Very good temporary, focused exhibitions on different topics.
Very good restaurant, with nice view on the city - but often crowded, so reservation in advance might be necessary.
Overall - great place for both adults and children.
Oakfriend — Google review
Very interesting museum with a rich and detailed exhibit of the history and culture of the region. The place really gives you a good understanding of Silesian heritage. Remember coins for the storage lockers!
Mathias Forrisdahl — Google review
This museum featured a multitude of various artworks from Poland showcased on the upper floor (bags and jackets need left in lockers/cloakroom)
I visited when this was free which is every Tuesday which is a great incentive and allows people to experience it for free! Noting that the tower observation point is closed in winter
The temporary exhibits downstairs were of greater interest and offered a detailed history of Poland during world wars and the influence of the surroundings, even featuring artefacts used such as a guillotine from a death camp - highly recommend checking this out and expanding your understanding of the devastation and losses Poland faced in terms of lives, families and treasured arts!
Ryan Hetherington — Google review
The museum opens until 8pm at night.
It is spacious and have different areas to showcase sculptures and paintings.
Not very huge but a nice place to visit especially during the freezing winter.
The observation tower not open in winter.
Wanderlust Around — Google review
Great museum, very interesting.
unfortunately no possibility to leave the clothes and belongings in the wardrobe, everything has to be put into lockers and it’s a problem if something doesn’t fit
Sofia Shaldikova — Google review
Fantastic museum, with exhibitions for 29th century art, amateur art, history of Silesia and religious art. I sadly missed the religious art and had to rush through the last quarter of the Silesian history segment but I enjoyed what I saw.
For the museum itself, 2-3 hours should be enough time, more on the 3 hour side if you like to take your time.
Cathal Dinneen — Google review
While recent modern exhibits include Vanities black & white photography exhibit, and the Głuza exhibit devoted to educating others about the history, obstacles, perspective and progress made in Poland's deaf community, you may want to head over to the Silesian Museum just for Moodro Bistro & Cafe.
Aside from Nieinaczej Vegan Burgers and the always fantastic Vegan AF, Moodro may quite possibly offer what is at once the most delicious and aesthetically pleasing vegan brunch you will encounter outside of New York.
While not exclusively vegan, Silesian Museum's Moodro has a great brunch offering that includes an amazing green smoothie (spinach) and a protein-packed green quinoa accompanied by avocado, greens, hummus and a gently boiled egg. They also have french toast and other fare. The pet-friendly restaurant has a decor that is leafy with hanging plants, cozy, and somehow modern and rustic all at once with its chunky wooden tables and panoramic floor to ceiling windows.
Overall, Silesia Museum is great as a former mining site, and has a lot to offer. However, if you want to explore an underground mine, the nearest one is Guido in Zabrze.
10/10 for Moodro bistro
10/10 for Głuza exhibit
10/10 for a great "campus" with cool events in different buildings.

Great place with a wild mix of arts.
Excellent transformation of the former industrial estate.
A big exhibition about history, which is overall good however - like always in Poland - lacks honesty in regards to the difficult Polish- German past.

This museum is a wealth of in depth knowledge with plenty of things to do across different buildings and great value too with a free car park. I would recommend a visit here.

Good museum with many collections in old mining site. Collections include contemporary and classic art, timeline and development of the region, mining etc. Surely worth the visit if in town. It was awesome to experience this tour. You get all the gear you need and have multiple challenges like the miners do. There is teamwork involved and it takes about 4 hours. Also learned a lot how mining works and the work there.

There is a bar 320 meters under the ground. You can try polish beer or you can drink a coffee or another drink. One of the touristic attractions in Zabrze. *I'm not sure if the tour guides speak English, at least the one that guided us didn't.

It would be nice if they would provided an electronic copy of the transcript to the email address of customers that the guides say to visitors only in Polish. We were required to arrive 15 minutes early, which we were lucky to do as there was a car accident on the way. So we arrived at 3:15pm ready for a 3:30pm session. Then there was nothing important to do between 3:15pm and 3:30pm apart from go to the toilet and check we had some water.
During that time of they had offered an electronic copy of the transcript I could have translated it into English online since we still had internet connection above ground. Then during the tour at each stop I could have just read the relevant section in English from my mobile phone instead of standing around understanding nothing.
I only speak English and barely any Polish, and my partner only speaks and understands intermediate Polish. I didn't understand anything they said on the 2 hour tour apart from a couple of words and my partner also struggled to understand, so it was actually incredibly boring and after the first 30 minutes I wished there was a way to end the tour early as there were more things I could have been doing. On the tour we did spurts of repeatedly walking and then the guide would stop and talk in Polish for a long time, and we were in a group of about 11 people so often the only chance to take a photo where others weren't blocking the photo was when people started walking again but then you can't take too long to take the photo since you have to stay close to the group. There was a short ride on the hanging train at the end of the tour and it ended at an underground pub. Our other family members went on a different longer tour that started after ours so we bought some beer and waited for them there since the beginner tour ends at the pub

I come from Zabrze and have lived here most of my life. I wanted to show my roots to my girlfriend and decided to pay a visit to this internationally know heritage site. Even in the description of the tour at the start, the guide highlighted that Guido is one of the most renowned industrial, touristic sites in Europe. Having that in mind, one member of staff could only speak English and there was no audioguide available or even an English, written guide. The staff had to hand out a4 printed out pages. It was not a problem for us, as I kept translating what is being said, but there was a party from Britain who did not have this privilege and had to read from these pieces of paper in half darkness. That needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Audio guides are a must for a site like this.
Having said that, the tour was really well organised, interesting and very well planned. Long enough, very informative and our guide was just brilliant. His passion and noticeable experience made it extremely engaging. He needs a praise and a raise! Seeing the machines used in mines from close up, and working, makes it so much more real too.
I recommend this place to everyone, but if you do not speak Polish, please check if measures have been taken to provide for your needs, or prepare to be slightly disappointed! :) Come on Guido, you can improve this.

That was a great experience. The guide was working down there in the past and know every detail. It took arrond 4h. Some time at 170m and more at 350m level. Driving also with the underground hanging train. At the end you can stay at 350m and sit in a bistro. Just go back up by taking the elevator going every 30 minutes.

Super coal! They do it very nicely. Machines still work and they tour you 230 meters underground for 2 hours! Impressive
Palmiarnia Miejska w Gliwicach is a botanical garden that features displays of flora and fauna from the 19th century, as well as tropical palm houses and art exhibits. The garden is compact and well-designed, providing visitors with a joyous experience of walking, watching, and breathing in nature. Despite the limitations due to Covid-19, it remains a beautiful place worth visiting for approximately an hour.

Your organization provided very poor management for Wodny plac zabaw during the summer - many children could not use it because you opened it only when it was convenient for you and fenced it off. After that it received a lot of negative feedback here on maps. But after this, the negative ratings were shaded in a rather original way - by merging this "Wodny plac zabaw" with neighboring usual "Plac zabaw" - which is completely false - these are two different objects, which are also separated from each other by your fence.
This fence (in the "best" traditions of ex-USSR countries) and this strange schedule (10:00-18:00, 01.06-03.09, so people have no time to walk here with their children on weekdays after work) - is that all for whom? For people? Or for the convenience of hiring fence building company (to build yet another fence inside an small park that is already fenced off)? Or of hiring someone to sit entire day on a chair near the fence under a tree to control how people rest - and people have no right to rest if the workday of this controller is over?
And you actually closed it since 03.09, despite the heat of almost 30 degrees in the middle of September.

Awesome place to visit during winter. Temperature of this place has been well maintained to help plants and animals live in harsh cold of Poland. I would recommend this place to plants and aquarium lovers. There are smallest to largest fishes. I would love to visit again as there are plants which grows in only certain temperature and climate. Well maintained but should have been well exhibited as the details or name of the species is in polish and would be difficult for a foreigner to understand.

Ostrava Zoo is home to over 3000 animals, featuring a variety of species such as bears and elephants. The zoo also boasts a petting area and playgrounds for kids. Educational posters and activities line the trails, providing visitors with an enriching experience. The enclosures appear to prioritize the welfare of the animals, although some may benefit from more space. Visitors can purchase food and drinks at various small shops throughout the zoo's expansive grounds.
Fantastic place for spending few Hours during weekend. Great variety of animals in beautifully arranged displays and green areas. Playgrounds and shaded areas are giving a break time during sightseeing. Some restaurants and snack bars (expensive). Greatly recommend for families.
Aleksandra Slizankiewicz — Google review
Nice zoo with a lot of animals and trees and a very big place to explore. The only bad thing was that they didn't answer to the phone and we couldn't see some animals because the zoo was under construction and they didn't say that in the entrance...Except from that the zoo was super and love the red panda's.
El — Google review
The zoo was nice and the animals were beautiful. The 3 stars rating comes more from the fact that there is a lot to walk but not a lot to see.
More importantly the enclosures for the more exotic animals were quite small and some of the animals were just alone. Like the lioness, the lion and a leopard.... All alone in small enclosures, apart from the lion who had a bit more space but still alone.
This caused them to be quite stressed in my opinion as they were pacing non-stop.
Overall great for kids first zoo experience but an adult will pick up on these not so great things.

By the opinions I've read I would think it's a very friendly zoo for animals; that theirs cages are big and spacious, well kept and tidy. Tbh I was quite disappointed with what I saw and would not visit it anymore. Nice way to spend time but if you care at least a bit about animals it's not a place you would sponsor.
Tickets are cheap, there are some coffee shops and a restaurant in there, lots of WC and an extra paid, short safari route by one of the runs.
Juka Op — Google review
It is a nice zoo to visit but it is quite small. Couldn't find some animals that were supposed to be rhere. I think due to some maintenance of their areas. Food places are not that great and it's a terribly long wait time before we were served (40min) u Pandy.

This zoo is huge, we spent 5 hours here. So much greenery, most of the time it felt as if walking in a forrest. Loved the red pandas. Would definitely recommend to visit.
Lots of playgrounds for the kids, benches and water fountains everywhere. There are also lots of zoo maps along the pathways.
You can save some time at the cashier by buying online tickets - they will scan the at the gate.
Bus 104 goes to the zoo from the center, very easy to get there also by car, they have a large parking lot (i think it is paid).
Dominika Nosková — Google review
I like this place. It seems they put the animals first as much as they can. I wish some of the animals had more space though. However I am not an expert on animal enclosures so I might be wrong about that.
There are several places for kids to play and many small shops for buying food and drinks. I also like that they have educational posters and activities along the trails.

Cheap price for a zoo of this size. Nice walk around, a lot of different animals to look at. The zoo is well decorated and has a nice atmosphere

A nice day out at the zoo with 3 kids and a baby, somewhat spoilt by the bad weather (not the zoo's fault) but the rude staff in the ticket office and the ones flying around the paths in the electric buggies (when there are small kids about).
Still we enjoyed seeing what we could and some of the animals were really exciting for the kids
Also felt you were a lot closer to them, in places, with bamboo poles used instead of perspex glass

A very nice and large zoo. Lots of trees, so the heat is not a problem. You can see here a beautiful and diverse plants and lots of animals and birds. A very good place for a weekend getaway. Ticket prices are okey. Parking at the zoo is paid.

Great place to visit: either with kids, the whole family or just by yourself. Plenty to see and to explore . One day it's not enough and I will definitely come back to see some stuff I was not able to check on my day of the visit. Apart from all the exotic animals and environment there is a playground for kids to have some fun and plenty of places to sit down and rest too. A lot of shops with food and drinks around the whole zoo. If you have never been here and you are around it is worth your time. Generally great place !

What an amazing zoo! We went in the snow and it was so beautiful. It was like we hired it for the day ourselves. Lots of amazing animals that we didn't expect to see such as hippos and leopards. Some great play areas for the kids and some food and drinks stalls and vending machines dotted around the area. The hot chocolate in the machine by the entrance was also delicious. 10/10!
Great price and a great day out!

It’s hard to go wrong with a zoo in kids’ minds. Is this one the biggest, coolest one you’ll go to? No, but my six-year-old daughter enjoyed it.
Since we went on a Thursday morning in August during peak season, admission was higher than other months. It cost 260 CZK for both of us to go. Not a bad price for a potentially all-day outing.
The zoo is spread out either long trails that go through woods. That means you’ll walk for minutes without seeing any animals.
The animals themselves are organized around houses where you can walk inside to see them or venture outside since the cages expand to the outside in most cases. They have monkeys, hippos, giraffes, birds, fish, and all the other usual suspects.
Where they stand out are the play areas throughout the zoo with the biggest playground being near the entrance.
There are enough restrooms and snack areas.

In my view "garden with animals" would convey the experience which you get. Take the picking package and you will experience even more.
Brilliant spot for the whole day with friends or family. If you desire time for yourself you will also find parts of the garden quiet and private.

We went from Poland to Ostrava Zoo and it was really so nice pig parking and you not wait long to get the tickets for enter .. inside they give you map for the zoo and it’s help you because the zoo it’s really big…you will found many places for rest and for WC and they some restoring if you want eat or drink something… there’s places for kids they can play …the only thing they need to add more animals ..but was really nice day
Sooo cold. I wasnt ready to face the coldness on top. So we should move earlier than we planed. If they had extra blanket for us, we would enjoy more. But we enjoyed there.

So glad that we unplanned got there! And there are a few reasons to go the city hall.
1) building itself is nice outside and gorgeous inside!
2) modern comfortable elevator;
3) very friendly staff speaking different languages:
4) in-price guide on the top, who tells everything about the city, ask any questions, gives advices about places to see, cafes to go etc.
5) reasonable price (60 czech kron/person = 2,5 euro)
6) bird-view on the whole city!
In nice weather I would stay there for hours.

It seems some attractions need a bit updating.

A great fun place for all the family. Lots to do for any age.. The food is petty decent too. There is a great variety of fun, with enough space to accommodate everything. Interesting interactive surprises. A very clever way to do it right. Been a number of times and always enjoy it. Downside is not enough staff, so beverage areas were closed and long queues. You must do the train ride!!

This zoo is beautiful and big. There is English posting for names and much information in Polish that can be translated with Lens. The ice cream was delicious and very clean place. We spent over two hours and could have spent even more time there. I think we walked nearly 10km during the visit. It is one of my favorites

Great place with different animals. Nevertheless, due to some construction work, it is hard to find a correct path. Signs on the way are inconclusive. I tried to look for and read each signs. I was going round circles for about 15 minutes.

Even better zoo than I imagined. You can see the animals really close. It's really modern, clean, and has beautiful waterfalls and an overall vibe. We went on a rainy day, so there were almost no other visitors besides me and my girlfriend, which made it feel like a private tour. We were there for at least 2.5 hours and still didn't see everything that the zoo had to offer.

I loved it! Great selection of animals. Clean environment, organised route to follow but not a necessity, lots of open spaces.
It looks very well though throught. Its not laid in concrete all over. The paths are wide and even. Both food points and toilets are spread evenly across the whole area.
Looking forward to see the new aquatic lifeforms building next year.

Really good experience, can’t complain really! Though it was sometimes hard to view the animals as the cage was very large compared to the number of animals with an outdoor and indoor section. Apart from that wear some good shoes as you’ll be walking for ages.

Old-world rooms & suites in an 18th-century castle offering a genteel restaurant & a spa area.
Wow! A completely fairy-tale castle, just across the border with Czech. They are still renovating the outside at the moment, but it will be gorgeous when the summer comes around. It was free to walk the grounds and enter the main part of the castle, but there will be paid for guided tours in the summer.

Instructions for parking at arrival could be more clear and more organized. The park is very well taken care of and it's a great place to relax. The castle is not as accient as expected but the tour is beautifully arranged and even the tools of online guide and explanation help understand the history and an addition to the whole experience.
SUNIL KUMAR MAURYA — Google review
There is nothing historical in this place. Don’t recommend to go inside. There is nothing special or authentic. Everything is poorly arranged and decorated not in the style of the original design. Paintings on walls are just awful! Worst way to spend 46 zł. Better to take a ticket only to park zone access.

Guess I was lucky. Booked a single room and got one in the renovated parts of the castle that resembles modern low tier business hotels. The room itself was small but cozy. Everything was spotless and clean. WiFi reception is brilliant.
The hotel and castle give mixed feelings. You can clearly see that it’s a “work in progress”. Given that through the years management is constantly improving on everything it’s fair to say that this place deserves a good grade.
There is no modern day elevator that covers every floor. The rooms are scattered all over the place: I had trouble navigating through the corridors to find my place.
The breakfast menu was very good. Including vegan and gluten free foods.
Hotel staff is helpful and responsive.
It’s not ideal that in order to get to the parking spot one needs to get out of the vehicle in order to press a button to call reception desk. Imagine that in a pouring rain…
It’s promising and I hope it will get to a point were all of the pieces fall into place and this will offer a boutique style experience. It has potential.

This is a place for those who love Harry Potter or are interested in seeing a fantasy castle. You shouldn't miss this place. Half of the castle is a tourist attraction, and the other half is a hotel where you can stay for as long as you want.
This castle has small shops at the entrance where you can buy souvenirs. The entrance ticket is 38 zloty per person. This ticket includes a castle and garden, which I think is a scam. You also have to pay for parking around 10 zloty.
Overall, this place is a must visit.

We were there for an excursion and dinner, not stayed in the hotel. Fairytale 19th century castle with partially hotel and partially museum with restaurant and cafe. The back looks great but the fountain is also not working. I was told they will complete the renovations by December 2022. The inside is amazing, but very few original pieces survived after Soviets destroyed everything. Still a great place to visit. I will definitely go back in 2023!

This castle with its 99 towers really looks like a fairytale. Surrounded by a vast area with old trees and a playing fountain, it makes a huge impression on visitors. The castle is actually a palace that belonged to the Tiele-Winckler family. The castle survived World War II, but during the occupation by the Soviet Army, the interiors were destroyed and many paintings and sculptures were taken away. Now the castle is open to the public. A hotel and restaurant have been operating here since 2013.

Superb place for a visit, castle has been renovated and it gives, looks like from fairy tale. Tour is not long, would say it takes an hour but it's worth it, some rooms are massive and give a scale how this place used to be.
Park and fountain are another gems: there is even a music. Very clean, polite service, they even have restaurant inside if you are into having a meal in posh - and I mean it - environment, but didn't have time to do it.
Highly recommend.

While planning for visiting this castle didn't expect a lot. When arrived to the parking lot there were many tourists, which is the good sign of the popularity of this place. Castle is renovated few years ago, some works are still continue at backyard. It looks really nice. Different architecture styles, good park for short walk. Cafe and restaurant inside of the building. Part of the castle is functioning as a hotel. Lovely place to spend few hours.

I didn't stay at the hotel but visited the garden and the rooms.
The castle is very beautiful however be aware that the walls are not stones but an imitation with concrete. The few rooms available for visit are nice despite many decorations for Harry Potter events might bother you if you were more interested in the historical side if the castle. The gardens are very nice to have a walk, and the grass around the fontains perfect to chill

I am allowing for the fact it is an old castle building however the beds should be made up but weren’t, the mattress was stained! the garden area while told it was open eventually was unlit and only accessible via the front door, there was no bin or fridge in the room and no ventilation / fan supplied. Service was also poor as originally told the garden was closed but then it was open if I was only drinking 🤷♂️ the castle itself and grounds should mean it is a great place to stay however I would 100% avoid as accommodation.

This has got to be the saddest place on earth.
The extortionate ticket price does not include half of the attractions (even the most expensive ticket is not all-inclusive). Everything other than the water park is run down, broken, dirty, or simply weathered by time. All the animals except ostriches are cheap plastic replicas (not even realistic ones), and the ostriches looked so depressed that I'm sure they followed me around the fence asking me for help.
The 7D cinema is a shack, with some cheaply-made animations and moving chairs and water sprays that don't align with the film. The rope park was not included in the ticket price and looked so unsafe I would not have gone on it myself, let alone let my children on. The 'educational' attractions don't appear to have received any maintenance or cleaning since they were installed (probably 20 years ago). Many are broken, all are dirty. The 'amphitheatre' has burnt down, and the charred rubble is now crumbling into the lake.
The one redeeming feature of this place was the water park. It's adequate. However, to get to the water park, you have to take a convoluted path, and the hotel owners make it intentionally difficult to access, even if you are by entrance for hotel guests. Under no circumstances can you buy food to have by the pool.
Overall, this place was expensive, and falling apart. The business will no doubt go under in the next two years. I would recommend the owners just pack it in now, rather than perpetuate their own misery, let alone that of the staff and disappointed guests.

Don't waste your time and money to go here! I never have been to such an outdated and poorly maintained park.
World's biggest inflated castle wasn't inflated, the 7D cinema posters were better then the real thing, the carousel was not online, as well as the big balloon.
You had to pay for a child to play in a small indoor playground.
All the other things that were open were outdated, poorly held and colored over the years.
A total waste of your time and money, a big disappointment!
Tijmen van Binsbergen — Google review
I am not familiar with this protoslavic hamlet of Rosenau, but most of the attractions seemingly fondly remember better days. I didn't feel comfortable letting our kids play with half the equipment, either because it looked unsafe by design or by virtue of wear and tear. The other half was out of order. Generally, the attractions were borrowed from other South Polish theme parks - reminiscent of Krasiejow, Zloty Stok, the science garden in Krakow - a painful reminder of the days out that were far more enjoyable for us.
The aquapark part - which cost us approximately an extra £10 per participant (60 PLN) was meant to be the saving grace, only there were no lockers, so one of the adults had to sit in the scorching sun (the ticket/wristband inspector asked us to vacate the only seat under a parasol) watching the bags.
Overall, would not recommend, unless visiting Poland for its postsoviet vibes

It was a very nice and educational experience. Our tour guide Blazej and the Grinch made it even more fun for the kids and they interacted with them very well. My family and I recently visited the Złoty Stok Gold Mine and found it to be a unique and engaging experience. Our knowledgeable guide brought the mine's rich history to life, making the tour truly captivating. However, due to the time of year, many local shops were closed, and the number of accessible corridors was somewhat limited compared to the extensive Wieliczka Salt Mine. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Złoty Stok Gold Mine is a fascinating attraction for history enthusiasts and families, but I recommend planning your visit during a busier season to fully enjoy the town and its offerings.

The only improvement I would suggest is though lot of foreigners are visiting the place, it will be helpful if they have atleast one or two guides who can explain in English.

The Arboretum Wojsławice is a stunning botanical garden that offers visitors a chance to explore a vast array of plants and flowers. In addition to the large themed gardens, the Arboretum also features a beautiful cherry garden that is sure to take your breath away. With its pathways, peaceful atmosphere, and stunning natural beauty, the Arboretum Wojsławice is the perfect place to relax and unwind amidst the cherry blossoms. There is a small exhibition of mineral rocks along one of its pathways.
One of the unique aspects of the Arboretum Wojsławice is that it is not a plain garden, but instead, it features rolling hills that add to its natural beauty. The undulating terrain creates a more dynamic and visually stunning landscape that visitors will surely appreciate. Whether you're exploring the themed gardens or admiring plants in the greenhouse, the Arboretum's hills provide a unique backdrop that enhances the overall experience of the garden. So visitors should be prepared for some uphill and downhill walking, but the effort is well worth it.
Another great feature of the Arboretum Wojsławice is the abundance of places to rest and relax throughout the garden. From benches to picnic areas, visitors can take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The Arboretum Wojsławice truly has something for everyone to enjoy. My family and I had a wonderful time there.
The Slaughtered Animals Monument in Wroclaw is a unique and interesting place to visit. Located near handcraft shops and popular pubs, the monument pays homage to the animals that were traded for meat in the Middle Ages. The sculptures serve as a reminder of the historical market practices where only "clean" produce could be traded at Rynek and Colth Hall, leading to the trading of meat at a distance.
Interesting place to go in Wroclaw.
The memorial to Slaughtered Animals in Wrocław.
In the Middle Ages, this place was a terrible place for animals💀, but a pretty good place to buy meat 🍖.
Now you can find some nice little shops...
Max MLE — Google review
Despite the handcraft shops that there are to be discovered and one of the pubs with popular «pub quizs», you will undoubtely notice the animal sculptures.
They were placed there as an hommage to them, but not because they were heroes or something like this... In an earlier time when the Rynek and the Colth hall were used as a market place, not every produce could be traded there, but those supposed clean. It meant that meat had to be selled and bought a bit farther. Thus little street not far was the chisen place. In fact just in front of the animals you will still find the wood doors on the floor were merchants kept the meat (and themselves) underground to offer it to the people passing by without spreading their smell.

The Underground City Osówka is a fascinating tourist attraction located in the Ani plateau, characterized by hundreds of caves that have been carved out over time for various purposes such as dwellings, animal shelters, churches and pigeon houses. Among these caves are a network of tunnels and rooms built during WWII by Nazi slave workers, whose purpose remains unknown to this day. While the research on this underground city has been limited, visitors can explore it with a guide who shares stories about its history and significance.
An adventure and a mystery. We were guided for over an hour through the underground tunnels built to unknown purpose in the WWII. I enjoyed the stories told by our guide - clearly passionate about the topic.

Another architectural marvel from the Nazis tucked in the vastness of Sowie Mountains in the Sudetes. The sheer brilliance and location of the underground location is a testimony to the fact that they were way ahead of the time. But the atrocities inflicted upon the enslaved people is way beyond our comprehension. Osówka is one of the complexes of project Riese initiated by Hitler during WWII. The location of the underground complex says it all, and there is no way you can even see it from a distance. It's amazing. Don't miss it when you are around

The normal tour is with an audio-guide in English, French, German or Czech. Together with the guide you'll walk trough the illuminated tunnels. At every stop he tells something in Polish and as a non Polish person you can listen to the audio-guide.
Both tours take app. 50 minutes.
The guides speak a bit of English so you can ask them for some extra info.
After the tour is finished you can walk up the mountain to see the casino and the ruins. An intense but nice walk.

It's an amazing place to spend one hour, make sure you take a jacket and proper footwear. The audio guide comes at $1 and is a must if you don't speak polish.

Look, you've got to give credit to the work that is done here to enable people to visit these underground structures.
The place breathes history and learning (again) what these slave labourers had to endure can only bring tears to your heart. But seeing what they had to do with your own eyes, standing right there, makes it even harder. It is a must do when you are around, just to make the horrors of war slave labour more tangible. Something that we may not forget.
That being said, there are some elements that could improve. Though it seemed that the Polish guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything in a lot of detail, it is not the case for the English audioguide. Clearly, there was information lacking, stories that we've missed (even references to spiders living in the underground complex) and stories shortened. The movies displayed were well-translated, but the rest not so much. Other visitors with audioguides clearly had a similar experience as we were standing to up to 10mins just waiting around.
I would recommend visiting the halls below Ksiaz Castle for a better audioguide experience in English on the Riese project. However, the complex itself is more impressive at Osowka.
Maybe do both!

Very interesting place and great tour! We bought tickets on spot without any issue with CZ audio guide, the tour took about 1 hour and was well prepared and full of interesting information. Highly recommended!

Must see when you're in the neighborhood!
The local guides don't speak English, so definitely rent an audio guide. Tip: bring your own stereo headphones (normal mini jack).
Do combine it with Gross Rosen!

Great piece of history. Highly recommended for WWII lovers. Our tour guide - Daniel, showed great knowledge and passion. He only spoke polish. On that day they didn't have an english speaking tour guide, we called before and asked what options we have. My partner is british so that time he had to take headphones. Information given on headphones where briefed. We thought he missed a bit of interesting information, which I had to tell him later. We recommend to always have a guide. We chose "history tour" option, but there are few more to choose from. Overall we loved it

The place is spooky. It is quite cool to see the WW2 project. It is unfortunate that the poland tour guide does not speak english. I feel like he provided more information than the audio guide! I wish I knew polish!!!!
Nature reserve with a group of imposing sandstone rock formations for tours & rock climbers.
Absolutely worth visiting. The Rocks are beautiful and the paths are clearly marked and mostly easily accessible even for inexperienced visitors. You can use a paid parking nearby. There are some eateries, gift shops and a free WC at the entrance.
It will take you 15-30 min to go around the lake and 1-1.5h to go the main route (of course depends on your pace).

Very unique National Park with its amazing scenarios of unusual landscape. Great for short or even longer trip with kids. You can’t really ride through by bike or with stroller.

The feeling was like in a circus with clowns, crazy rules that prevent people from enjoying nature, half-witted grandfathers are running around everywhere and writing fines to people on plain paper, because they have become where they were not allowed 🤦♂️ the entrance has an unjustified price, for this money they do nothing there! If you climb out once a year from your apartment, then this option is for you, all you can do is walk along the path, where they allowed! Nature here 5/5

Worth to visit, but choose wise which road to pick, because even 2nd half of green road is hard to walk with kids and for elders. Yellow road have a lot of steps and you'll have to climb them all way back so plan your time (+3h) picking yellow road

Amazing place with stunning views! The lake is so beautiful! Prepare to walk for a half of day :) Whole path is doable for kids as well. Rocks are amazing, a lot of stairs to go and really tiny holes to go through.

Awesome nature but we were shocked of the amount of people. Otherwise totally worth it. We loved to explore all of it! Little tip, the yellow path on the card they give doesn’t end. It’s an ongoing way and will just walk further away from the rocks and the paths from the park

This place is absolutely stunning, I went in winter and it made me tear up many times by the shear beauty of the nature around! This is very pleasant and easy to get to as its right next to adrspach train station - booking online is easy!
It is slippery in winter so be careful, especially on the staircases but it is truly worth it! I can’t wait to return and visit this in summer sometime and explore a little further 😍

It’s a nice family aquapark, but it’s not as big as it may seem from the pictures, it’s actually quite small. I think 2 hours is enough to spend there, I don’t know what we would do there longer. It’s good, but nothing special.

We visited the aquapark in July 2023. It is a nice place for very reasonable price. Warm water. Many attractions for children. There is a problem to find a place for your car at the parking lot sometimes.

The spa was unclean and the floor was an unbelievable mess. The hot tubs (and pools) had very cold water. Common changing rooms are also unpleasant. The spa was full of people anyway, so nowhere was free. Never again!

I read some of the negative reviews and was wondering if I was in the same place these people were describing. The temperatures in the thermal pools and jacuzzis were the correct and doctrinal temperatures. The variety of pools is impressive, including whirlpools to bubble action to jet streams. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was overall delightful experience and I’ll be back regularly, now after trying this place for my first time today. I give management good marks for their operation.

Great fun for the whole family, if you and kids need a break from hiking. Facilities are clean and generous size lockers. Whach the timings of your sessions as you may need to pay extra, when leaving, if you go over your time.

Free parking with enough space for everyone. No queue at cash desk. Lockers/changing rooms - dirt on the floor, water and hair.
Water area - 2 thermal pools with an access to get out. Inside - slides and separate pools for children, swimming pool. Not enough space for leaving the towels or any other belongings.
SPA - 2 finish saunas, one steam, kryo, 3 jacuzzis, showers, no pool, silent area, drinking water provided. Too much noise taking into the consideration that this should serve as relaxing activity.
K R — Google review
This is not a therme. Its a community pool with warm water that wants to create an illusion of a therme.
If you have been to thermes in Germany or Austria or even Slovenia - you will be feel the difference right away. We have been to quite a few over the last few years so I am speaking from experience here.
Parking is a disorganized mess. Curb parking, sidewalk parking, eh whatever works!
You will spend 20+ minutes just to pay to get in.
You will then spend more time in line waiting for a a changing room, as there is very limited number of them.
This place is super crowded and its impossible to relax here. Lifeguards constantly blowing whistles and yelling at everyone running ( something you will never see in Austria or Germany)
Cafe upstairs sucks. Its junk food that takes forever - 20+ minutes for 4 hot dogs and cup of microwaved canned corn 🤮
Save your money. Go elsewhere.
Nick Rudnev — Google review
Pools are quite OK, but nothing like big resorts. People in the SPA area know nothing about sauna culture, in swim dress sitting directly on wooden bench - no right guidance provided.
The restaurant offers only very basic meals and the waiting time is about 1h.

went there at the end of January and for me this place was shocking!
I thought l am going somewhere nice and relaxing, where there are some special healing waters, which are warm and pleasant, but ended up in one of the dirtiest, smelliest and most crowded place l have ever been.
The changing rooms and cloakroom was in disgusting stage.
People sneezing, coughing and leaving mess everywhere!
Ended up with COVID after my trip and l wouldn't be surprised if l would catch it there.
Lots of people l spoke to in the spa area were complaining about it as well, as being very disappointed.
Got whole day ticket, but l left after couple of hours because l couldn't stand it. Not recommended!

DONT GO HERE,
I repeat, dont go here, it is absolutely teribble, every floor is dirty and as a 14 year old, it was unposible to breath and every kid had to cough, the air and water was bad, every locker was taken and it was compleatly full, bad staff long que sizes and bad over priced food, i beg you to choose a other option than this, avoid thus peace of garbage, i needed to cough every second and couldnt breath.

If you want to relax as an adult don't go here!!! Also not designed for non-polish speaking folks. Details see below.
Entrance:
- modern
- the number of people allowed to enter is clearly shown on the info board
- long queue
- shoe lockers in front of the long queue -> not well organized
1- signs in English and polish
Locker rooms:
- modern
- lockers accessible via bracelets
- floor is dirty
- from here on: SIGNS ONLY POLISH!
- showers are clean and offer shower gel
Indoor pool:
- one big pool for sporty swimmers (5 lanes)
- one children's pool
- one pool with 3 massage jets (1 broken) and connection to outdoor
- another connection to different outdoor pool
- 2 slides
- approx. 5 deckchairs for all the people
- no room to store snacks or books
Café / lunch area:
- some plastic chairs right above the pool area without any noise barrier
- long queues
- I did not try the food
Outdoor area:
- 1 big pool with: 2 slides, 2 mushroom-style fountains, 6 massage jets (1 broken)
- 1 small pool with 3 massage jets
- big sun bathing area with more than 100 deck chairs
Sauna area (what they call "spa"):
- not divided properly from the indoor pool. You hear children screaming in every part, even in the saunas and the "quiet" area.
- everyone is wearing swimming shorts/bikinis in sauna with no towel to protect the wood
- 2 old, not well looking, finish saunas (reason above...), capacity 6 people each
- 1 infrared sauna
- 1 Roman steam bath. The only good thing in my opinion. Capacity 8-10 people
- 1 cold room (0°C air temperature)
- 3 whirlpools, capacity 4 people each (always full)
- 2 ice machines (both broken)
- approx 8 deck chairs and 8 more in the "quiet area" for 30+ people
- approx. 10 showers
- free drinking water
All in all:
- If you have children and it's good weather, you will have a lovely day with a place to sit.
- if it's rainy, you might still have fun with children, but no place to sit.
- when you're coming for the sauna, leave it
- when you still want to try the sauna, only book the 2 hour slot (you will thank me later)

This was a lot of fun. I really enjoy the old castles that let you explore every nook and cranny on your own. There’s something a lot more personal to be let alone to explore at whim. A lot of great views from the rooftops and fun camera angles. A must stop if you’re in the area. We drove over and hour to get here and it was totally worth it!

Nice Castle to visit. Building and surroundings are kept in very good state. It's possible to walk independently around most of the parts of this great Castle which is located on the top of the hill in the forest. Parking is located next to the castle, so you can drive uphill inside the walls of the object or you can park your car at the another parking in the middle of the hill.

This is the best castle we have ever seen! It is highly underrated and relatively unknown. We stumbled upon this place by chance and were unsure whether to visit or not. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we decided to go. The castle has a truly breathtaking effect and offers a unique experience. There were not many visitors, allowing us to explore all parts of the castle. We highly recommend visiting this hidden gem!'

The whole site was extremely immersive. There was medieval music at the main courtyard, local wooden statues scattered around, and the smell of the bonfire spreading from the central barbecue. All of this and more, gave me a vibe of authenticity, freedom and a real medieval experience!
I joined a guided tour (in Polish). The guide through his stories was spreading the excitement for the medieval history the way coronavirus spread around the world. Much greetings, the tour was great!
Overall, an absolutely amazing place, A true gem of Southern Poland.

Picturesque cascade of water in a mountain environment, with a nearby hostel & hiking trails.
A beautiful waterfall, with nice scenery. To get to the waterfall, you have to purchase a ticket (fair price of 10zloty per adult, can pay by card) and wait a line, as you are allowed to go down to the waterfall only with a helmet (so you have to wait until people come back and give you the helmet). Worth the wait!

The walk up from the street parking was refreshing, although the last bit had quite an incline and required some stamina to conquer given it was trudging through snow and some ice, raczki highly recommended. The visit to the waterfall was a little adventure, what with the winding stairs descending into the gorge, the clear water in the creek at the bottom and the viewing platform at the end with the waterfall burbling enthousiastically the highlights of my visit. We had a tasty kielbaska and mulled wine at the schronisko next to the waterfall entrance, warming, good times. On the way back I sincerely wished for a sled or raczki, but all in all a satisfying and succesful visit.

A very nice waterfall, definitely worth a visit. Although the road is mostly uphill and very stony - very demanding, impossible with a stroller or bike, almost impossible for little kids.
Parking is paid but the machines accept cards.
At the water, there is a queue, you go down the stairs, with the obligation to wear a helmet which you get after paying for entrance - 12/6 zlotys.
A little higher on the hill there are food stalls and even some restaurants.
The place is overall very crowded.

Admirable waterfall! Located at the impressive gorge. If you make it in the morning you wont stay in the queue or be surrounded by plenty of other tourists. At the entrance you should wait to get a helmet for your safety. In the day place could be very crowded, especially at the weekends. Make sure you have comfortable trekking shoes. Also at the top there is small cafe and bus shuttle which could take you to the car parkings.

Wonderful nature and the way is not too heavy.
Paying for the view downstairs is not necessary. You have a nice view from the platform above without waiting.

The road up is in very bad shape. At the beginning damaged by heavy machinery (sad look how the forest is getting wrecked). Waterfall itself is very nice..very short walk down to a viewpoint. Is it worth to pay the entrance fee? That is the only thing I’m still wondering about. It’s super awkward to go up/down the staircase when crowded.

For a small price you get a helmet and can walk down to the waterfall, which is a nice experience. But otherwise there is a nice view of the waterfall from the side as well. There are plenty of tables for a picnick. The hike to the waterfall took us over an hour with a 4 year old.

2 options to see the waterfall. For free you can see it from up top by the in up the road through a metal grate. If you want to go down to the water, you can but then you need to buy a ticket. 15zl and you will need to wear a hardhat. Great views though, recommended 👍

Nice waterfall in the middle of a forest. The way up is challenging and if you have kids you most likely going to carry them. The road is made of stones and every step is like a stair. In the other side it’s not that far from the main parking place etc 2km. 🚶🏻♂️
Little bistro at the top and paid entrance to the waterfall valley with helmets ⛑️

Loved the place but parking was a nightmare. The Gondolla ride was fantastic with great views. At the top the views were even better. You can start your downhill ski run from there or walk down the mountain, which took us nearly 2 hrs ! Although people should not be allowed to ski or ski board down the walking route as it can be dangerious for the walkers. Overall a great day out & a fun day with family. 👍😁💥

Nothing bad to say about this ski resort….
Ski rental - very friendly staff but can get busy at peak times. We had both new and used equipment which was well maintained. You need ID and you pay for it on return which is a simple process.
Slopes - one main slope accessed by a cable car 🚠, (red-blue-red) which was very perfect for me and my family. One teaching slope with drag lift and operated by very patient staff… best I have experienced to date, helpful to the children and adults alike making it a pleasurable experience. Loved the night ⛷️ and🏂
School - my 10 year old had 5 x 2 hour lessons over the week which culminated in 3 runs down the main red run slope… instructors are very good and always on time and make it enjoyable and easy to learn.
Shops - well priced for an on slope shop with a good range of goods and very helpful staff. Accepts cash and card.
Restaurant - only open for 1 day out of 5 over Christmas but the food huts outside where open. Love the pizzas. A restaurant at the top and bottom of the main slope, serving good food at good price.
Compared to other nearby slopes in Czech Republic this is by far out favorite even with only one main slope.

Temporary closed in the main season for days without any information when the lift will be working again.. people plan their holidays to come here and are depended on the lift.. if the lift is not functional people simply won’t come back here for the next time.. we’ve been assuming that there is not enough people in town to make it profitable so they leave the lift off. This hurts everybody else in the town.. hotels are struggling just because the main reason why people come here is to go on the mountain.. if this is not possible people do not come back.. we won’t because of your unreliable services

Very nice and interesting place and I liked the fact that there was no unpleasant smell in the ski lift gondola so for me and two little kids paying that amount was a much better option than walking up the mountain. We also got a chance to see how produce was delivered to the shelter.

Just don't go there when the main gondola isn't working (like now, Dec'23). You pay an outrageous amount to ski a tiny slope with super-long waiting times. Our kids all got frustrated from waiting 10 minutes to ski roughly 15 seconds. We ended up wasting loads of money on unused rides.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always wanted to go to the real great escape camp. My pops showed me this movie when I was 13 and I’ve watched it a lot throughout my life. So on my first euro trip I included Poland in it for a few days, rented a car and drove from Wroclaw, about 95 miles. The actual site is about a half a mile away from the museum which is really cool! The woman there didn’t speak English, you’re in zagan so it’s expected, I didn’t have cash, they require cash but she nicely let me in. I spent about two hours at stalag luft 3, there isn’t much there but remains, but it’s beautiful. Can’t believe I finally made it there.

I had an uncle who was a POW in Stalag Luft III Nov 1944-Jan 1945. He survived. But I got to see the remains of the camps & tunnel memorial for the "Great Escape" in 1944. It's a nice old church full of history. When you wanna take pictures it costs 1.5 euros. Entrance is free
Dinosaur park with life-size prehistoric creature models & adventure playground with nets & ropes.
Very nice and very crowded. The kids extra love it. And the maze in the nearby is really a good challenge, especially for the bigger kids...even for those like myself :D.

"Visiting Saurier Park was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped through the gates, we were transported back in time to an era when dinosaurs roamed the earth. The attention to detail in recreating these prehistoric giants was simply astounding. Each exhibit was not only educational but also incredibly immersive, allowing both children and adults alike to marvel at the sheer size and majesty of these ancient creatures. The park layout was well-designed, making it easy to navigate and ensuring that every exhibit was easily accessible. Additionally, the park offered a variety of activities and experiences beyond just viewing the exhibits. From interactive displays to fossil digging areas, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Overall, our visit to Saurier Park was an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in dinosaurs. It's a fantastic day out for the whole family, and one that will leave you with memories to treasure for years to come."

The perfect day out for children and grownups. But definitely for children. Top playgrounds, top infos, nice people! We're here at least once a year

Great adventure for the kids. However, 16 EUR entry fee for 4 years +, no distinction in price for students or seniors. No drinking water dispensers, 1 water 3 Euro - Outrageous!!!

We went here with a group of 7 fully grown adults with no particular interests for prehistoric stuff, but this place was really fun even for that group.
The models are well made, theres plenty of interactive bits, and over and over i just couldnt help but mumble "i would have *loved* this place as a kid".
There are massive playground sections all throughout the park, and even a little closed off section that mimics jurassic park, with an abandoned bunker, broken down cars and ambient sounds.
Theres also a quiz app you can fill out to get a little prize at the end. Its really well done, children will have the time of their lives here, and for adults that are less hyperactive and childish than my friend group, theres plenty of seating, food stands, actually kind of informative trivia and otherwise just relaxing places between the more child focused attractions.
Highly recommend, for what you pay at the entrance itll be totally worth it.

Very nice dinopark. It is awesome that it is outdoors. If it is nice weather you can spend whole day outside on a interesting walk. I like it much better than indoor dinoparks. There are a lot of places to grab a snack or food. Entrance is so nicely done and there is a dino shop and cafeteria.

Nice place for family, a lot of species of Dinosaurs, prehistoric animals and caveman. Huge area to explore. A lot of playground's for kids, also educational panels. There is a small restaurant, and also Ice cream at the end of the road. We were two times there until now, and I still have a feeling that we didn't see everything. My full recommendation to everyone. 🦖🦕🐉

Perfect place for families. I’ve enjoyed my time with kids 3-6 years old. Can spend minimum of 3 hours there. Each place has attractions and games which can spend some good time in without getting bored. Well organized placed. Strongly recommended and a must visit park.

Visited both, the dinosaur themed park and the maze. Premises quite big to spend hours. Dinosaurs in majority are concrete sculptures. The entrance fee of currently €16.- per adult is a bit intense for my personal taste. It is recommended to bring foods, the park provides but could easily require a small extra fortune and lines are crazily long. The maze is fun and with a price of €7.- per person not as overpriced as the dinosaur park. Good for a one-time visit.

Super! Entertaining and also informative, very well designed. Kids can move a lot. Food is good (loved the Apferkrapfen) and even the toilets entertain the kids. Thumbs up really!

Went there with whole family and children of 7,5 and 3,5. They really enjoyed. The park is full of Dinosaurs of any type. Be prepared to have quite a walk. On top along the way they have placed a nuber of other attractions for the children such a huge slide, a place to jumb and clomb, huge house with a series of lines to go and leave and some lava space with a water to get cooled a bit. We liked it a lot. We need around 5h there to see most of it, but in case you will have a long lunch then easily even more is needed.
Wonderful park created by Prince Pückler in 1846 with ponds, waterways and bridges. Earth pyramids on land and in the middle of a pond are lovely.
A fine castle with sculptures is inspired by Greek, Roman and Oriental mythologies.
The castle's interior is splendid.
In my opinion more intriguing than Bad Muskau Park.

It says we can't ride a cycle at the entrance. But it's more when cycling I guess. It's calm, beautiful and people who love to have these food dates in nature must visit. Nothing is available to buy though, bring everything with you and keep the premises clean.

Wonderful park, bike policy isn't super clear but I think going a reasonable speed or walking your bike if it's crowded is ok. It's a large park and beautifully wooded.

Very lovely English garden landscape. Not super special, but we've spent a very nice and calm 3 hours there exploring and having a good time.
Open-air museum detailing 19th century farm & village life, with guides in period clothing.
Really nice place. Plenty of information to get from the German lifestyle around 200 years ago.

A bit too small for the entry fee but as a student you get 1,50€ discount on regular 5,00 €. Even in the small venue, it shows the culture and lifestyle of then isolated community of Spreewald. You can even try some of the old wooden shoes and try washing clothes in the old north sorbic way. You can listen to how the language of the area used to be. I was excited to see, how the women used to cover their head and hairs some 50-60 years ago in western countries, and why the generations of same culture take the same thing from other cultures as questionable after just 50/60 years.

Beautiful stop on a gondola trip through Spreewald. Trip was wonderful - the stop although beautiful I would say is just ok.... The queues were big for one kiosk so if you can get table service it's worth it else like me you will waste half of your time queueing for a beer! It was great beer though 😊

40min walking away from the Hafen or by kayaking .
Everything close early .Nothing to do on the island after 16h. Think about bringing food and drinks with you

To start with the town is absolutely stunning. The museum it's self is an absolute brilliant insight into local life. What I love most about it is, everyone was at the same thing at the same time...we always try and visit such places for an insight into the places we visit. We are more alike that not...well worth a visit and right next to a beautiful beer garden

Gorgeous open air museum showing old life in the Spreewald. Great for all ages. fun interactive stuff to do (for grown ups and kids!) All exhibit information signs had a few summary paragraphs in English (and a few other languages) which was very nice for those who know very little German. A lovely museum!

I've been to better spas.....
My wife and I went here last night because we received a gift certificate for our wedding. We spent a little over 6 hours in the pool and sauna.
Unfortunately, we didn't like it that much. While the saunas themselves are great, our favorite was the panoramic sauna overlooking the lake, everything else is tiny and feels cramped. The large saltwater pool is nice, but not as relaxing. And again, the space between the pools and the beds is very small and hard to walk around.
A big positive surprise was the restaurant. We had the edamame, gyoza, mangu curry with shrimp and bun bo nam bo. It was delicious. Probably one of the best Thai meals I've had west of Phuket.
Unfortunately, the evening ended on a sour note as the parking garage is also - surprise, surprise - super cramped and I scratched the rims of our car going down the super narrow ramp.
To sum up: we've been here, but we prefer the SpreewaldTherme in Burg or the VaBali Spa in Berlin.

Amazing spa experience! Beautiful, warm, clean and relaxing. Especially loved the new sauna Panorama building that has several saunas inside like a salt sauna, a steam bath and a bread sauna, where you can sweat next to an old bread oven and can even get a taste of the fresh bread after the bake!
The aquasound floating pool was nice but we were really missing pool noodles or any other floating supports for the neck.
The service and personnel was very friendly and made our visit very pleasant. Thanks!

This is one of the most relaxing and clean public thermal and spa places I've seen.
It's affordable, you can reach it by train and public transport in less than an hour and half from Berlin. They have different kinds of pools inside and outside. I would like to give a plus point for the pool with underwater music and its relaxing atmosphere. I heard its textile-free for adults on Saturday. Make a phone call and reassure it before you head on to this beautiful oasis.

Good place for relaxation, available outdoor and indoor pools. One pool with cold water the other pools with warm and salty water. Fountains and jacuzzi available. Changing cabins and lockers for valuables are there as well. Parking is within 2 minutes walk. First few hours of parking are free. Prices are reasonable for the service you get. Lounge chairs for sunbathing outdoors as well as indoors available. Within half an hour 40 min drive from Berlin or Frankfurt Oder. Recommend.

I've never been for relax in my adult life. After spending 3 hours (not enough through) in the salt water and trying different saunas, I was in cloud nine.

Almost perfect, but not for our massage experienced -overpriced for the quality and not recommended at all. Although, the place itself is relaxing with a beautiful view of the lake from sauna. Better to explore around the area by cycling when it’s warmer. Not bad after all!

I spent 3 hours in pools, 1 hour in saunas and spent for it 45 Euro- it’s too much.
The water is warm and thermal ,but it would be nice to repair pool tiles.
The saunas are perfect with great view of park and lake ,but unfortunately they are too small and inside of the building is not enough space for all people.

if you searchi g for the place to relax from city rush - its a great place for relax outside the big city (just about 1H drive from berlin) and they have also a parking lot. in winter and when its colder outside also in the air nice smells from fireplaces around. Saulty water with indoor and outdoor pools with warm water (about 34C).. also few days per week are open for the visits without kids-you can enjoy quite time there. IMO, best ever time is to visit later in the evening to catch up a sunset and darkness with first stars in the sky. also they have implemented a nice idea to add candles and very good lighting in the pools in the evening time :)) the only one small negative thingy is the parking lot exit -i think already have happened 2 times: sometimes it gets broken in the evening time. Maybe too many people were exiting during the day and filled up the tickets storage or whatever, so it stops receiving tickets and starts to work super slowly and you can not leave parking lot anymore, but support works quickly and after 5-8 minutes all the queued cars for exit managed to leave the parking lot.

We came to bad Saarow for a weekend trip to get out of the city (berlin) and relax a bit.
My girlfriend has not been to a Therme, but I’ve been to multiple ones over the year, mostly in NRW/the Rheinland.
Bottom line, it was an „ok“ experience.
Value for money could be better, as the prices are around 40€ if you want to go to the saune and Thermalbad (4h)
Let’s start with the Thermalbad area:
It’s one big inside pool that connect to the large one outside, and a few smaller whirlpools. Nothing special, not bad either.
What surprised me most was the fact that they build the Therme on a rather large area, but still didn’t really feel big. It’s also not really cozy.
There are a lot of places to lay down, but people occupy these with their towels even though it is explicitly said that you are not allowed to do that and should free the spaces and put your stuff in the provided baskets (nice feature) - the reality is that this is ignored by 90% of the guests and the people working there do not care (according to the notes on the wall they are the ones that will then remove your towels, if you don’t follow the rule as given). So this is quite annoying and you never get the chance to really find a spot, take out your book and unwind.
The sauna area:
We were there ok a Saturday in February (no kids allowed day) and it was not overcrowded, but still the sauna area didn’t offer enough space to store your belongings, move comfortably around and/or really relax. The sauna concept is not really thought through and make good use of the areas.
The silent room in the sauna area:
This was super disappointing. Again, people occupied the loungers with their towels. Also there was no real silence and people talked - not really relaxing. There should be a worker there enforcing this.

This spa is about 1 hour by train from Berlin then around 20 minutes by bus. Ideally you should spend at least 3 hours to really enjoy it. It offers jacuzzi, swimming pools and sauna. I loved the jacuzzi and the lavender sauna along with many cold and hot showers.
Daily pass cost Euro 27 and 10 extra for sauna. Unfortunately, the food is very limited and the sitting is just wooden benches with ants crawling all over the tables. Obsulatly disgusting! There is a nice park overlooking a lake next to it , it's worth a visit.

Super cool feelings during the winter time! There are lots of pool to chill inside and one of them in outside which is the coolest one!
For 3 hours cost is 17 euro around, I paid in January 2020. They give a bracelet for entrance and locker to put your stuff safely. Only one thing was really annoying if you go there really busy time, after bathing when you’re exiting from the place you need to wait in the line to give your bracelet and for payment! It’s horrible system which I saw first time in my entirely life! Why they’re not taking money at the entrance and putting a box to want us to put bracelets... I didn’t expect from Germany sorry but disappointed.
