A very interesting guided tour of such a wonderful place not only because of its history and location but its mural paintings and how Alarcon is being kept. (Translated by Google) It was a very heavy tour since to see two churches and the battlements of the hostel we have spent two and a half hours of a burden that is difficult to bear, but if you want to make these visits it has to be through this company since they have it particularly well organized so you can't do them. A big disappointment.
Reply to the company's reply.
I am sorry that you do not understand my review as it is written very clearly. Fifty minutes of history in the middle of the street is excessive. The time spent explaining life and miracles related to the church is also excessive since they tell us about the lives of certain painted dolls that are of no interest to anyone. The walk through the streets of the town to the church of the huge key, normal, without much pretension. And the ascent to the battlements of the hostel that was almost the shortest and most interesting.
The "excursion" has plenty of time for what is seen. A maximum of an hour and a half is enough, so my allusion to the 2 and a half hours that we swallow is more than understandable.
I hope this time I understand clearly.
Greetings.

Saludos.

I am very fond of hiring guided tours with official companies of the places I visit and without a doubt this, and in particular our guide Jesús, has been one of the best I have experienced to date.
Jesus was super attentive to each one of the people who did the route with him. In addition, being a native of the place, he knows every detail perfectly, it is also noticeable that he is passionate about his town, history and art in general, he devotes himself to every detail and that is appreciated.
I would gladly visit again.

Roman City of Valeria
Heritage preservation
Sights & Landmarks
Having some knowledge of Spanish can be advantageous when visiting the Ciudad Romana de Valeria, as there is limited information available in English. The ruins are expansive and it is recommended to set aside 2 to 3 hours for a thorough exploration. It can get quite warm during the summer months, so opting for an early visit may be wise. This archaeological complex, located in a small town, boasts impressive remnants of a Roman city despite minimal investment in excavations.
Highly recommend if in the area! It's not as big as Segobriga but it's got some cool things I haven't seen anywhere else, even in Italy, like the cliff side homes. Super friendly staff as well and beautiful nature
T T — Google review
There is limited information available in English, so knowing some Spanish is helpful. The ruins are quite extensive, so you will want to allow 2 to 3 hours to view it all. We were there in May and it was quite warm. In summer I expect that it could get rather hot, so going earlier in the day may be advisable.
John DeBliek — Google review

The San Pablo Bridge, locally known as Saint Paulo bridge, offers stunning views of Cuenca's old town and the Huécar River gorge below. The steel pedestrian bridge is easy to find and stands high above the gorge, providing a great perspective of the city.
The bridge is a wonderful way to enter the city. The other way is through a spiraling road in the bottom near the underground parking lot.
It’s hard to truly capture the magnitude of the city if you don’t cross the bridge.

This bridge connects the historic part of Cuenca with the ancient monastery (Nowadays a Parador). Originally, it was made of stone but only parts of the pillars survived. The rest was replaced by metal.
From the bridge you have a stunning view and you can admire the famous Hanging Houses of Cuenca.
Caution: the bridge moves a bit when many people walk on it. People with fear of this might use the street to the Parador instead of walking over the bridge.
The Casas Colgadas (hanging houses) of Cuenca are a centuries-old architectural marvel that rise impossibly high over the gorge of Rio Huecar. The houses, with their layers of wooden balconies and walls built into the rock face, provide spectacular views of both the rivers below and the surrounding landscape. Visiting during any season is a must-do in this beautiful city.
Sure it's a steep climb up the hill but you're certainly more than amply rewarded for your efforts with jaw dropping views over the old houses perched along the cliffs of Cuenca!!
Stuart McCleane — Google review
Please don't pass this historic town by, stop and take in a real character of a place. The hanging houses, river walks, suspended bridge, cobbled streets, cafe's, bars, individual artisan shops, cathedrals all make a great trip. We will be going back.

Amazing and precarious architecture! Lovely old town to walk. You can get a beautiful view of the hanging houses from the Parador across the way. There is a bridge that will also give you a good vantage point for excellent photos. It is imperative to visit this town in either the spring or the fall as the summer is unbearable and uncomfortable and the winter is just too cold to really tske the time to appreciate the beauty. You can also visit the nearby rock formations if you have a car. Cuenca is easy to get to by car (but parking isn't easy). The bus runs regularly from Madrid.
Michelle Martínez — Google review

One of the most beautiful towns in Spain. The drive to Cuenca (from Zaragoza etc) is something not to be missed. The change in scenery is mesmerising- from flat dry lands to cliffs to tall trees. Cuenca is out of this world - it’s location, the views, the cobble stone streets and some very nice eateries. The hanging houses are the obvious attractions but a walk of the town is time well spent. The drive along with the walk around the town is very underrated but something not to be missed around this part of Spain
Ashok Hatwar — Google review
Great place for a couple of days, the old town and the hills behind. Town has some great history and the views of the two valleys that sandwich it are fantastic. The National Park to the north west is also well worth a drive and walks if you are of that ilk. Not really a place well known to the Brits but deffo worth a visit and stop overnight, or two, if you can. Great place.

Relatively easy hike uphill but the views are very rewarding. Spectacular views from the mirador. A day trip will suffice, but you can easily find ways to spend more time, preferably appreciating the beautiful scenery.
A modern art museum dedicated to Spanish abstract art from the 1950s and '60s. It is situated in a medieval "hanging house" and features works by artists such as Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, and Salvador Dalí.
An absolute must. This is one of the best collections of its kind and is unmissable.

Maybe my favorite museum I’ve been to in a long time. Much bigger than it looks from the outside, amazing curation, and the perfect place to experience the views of Cuenca from!!! 10/10
Marina Carral — Google review
This fascinating modern art museum was founded in 1966 by artist Fernando Zöbel to house his extensive collection. In 1980 he donated it to the March Foundation which has looked after it ever since and made many new acquisitions. It was the first ever museum of its kind in Spain and is housed in the 4 remaining 'Casas Colgadas' (literally the Hung Houses). There were originally eleven.

If you come to Cuenca you have to stop by this museum , excellent exhibition and great views, and the best part it is free.

Free museum in Cuenca, right in the center of Cuenca near the bridge. Love the history of the museum; love reading about the hanging house where the museum itself located. The mural inside the museum dated back to 15th century. It’s interesting seeing abstract art exhibits in the historical building; excellent combination!
Judy Hung — Google review
Absolutely fantástic small but exquisite museum. Great variety of marvellous Fernando Zóbel works, some Antonio Saura (hilarious "Cocktail Party"!!), more José Guerero and several other artists in a stunning old building overhanging the river valley. Amazing. And all for free!!
Kristian Beuster — Google review
My one-day stay in Cuenca included a visit to the Museum of Abstract Art, a place I had been eagerly anticipating. However, my excitement turned into disappointment when the woman at the front desk refused entry, despite my arrival 25 minutes before closing time. The museum’s small size made her denial puzzling.
What saddened me even more was the apparent lack of interest she showed. It seemed she cared little about visitors experiencing the collection and preferred to do as little as possible. This attitude detracted from what should have been an inspiring visit to a place of creativity and passion.
Beth Meier — Google review
Elegant and perfectly presented little museum. So great!

Behind the cathedral a street begins leading to the Casas Colgadas, symbolic monuments in the city, which date from the 15th century.
One of the houses contains the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art, one of the best in Spain. The wooden balconies of the Casas Colgadas hang over the course of the Huécar, but you have to cross the river to get one of the best panoramic views.

FREE Museum. A bit out of the city to go out to Cuenca from Madrid, but made easy on the AVE. It's well worth the day trip!!! An incredible selection of beautiful modernist sculptures housed in a very special building called "Casas Colgadas" because it literally hangs off the cliff. Inspiring place. Beautiful abstract work. Incredible views. You'll find work by spanish greats like Zobel, Oteiza, and Chillida. Very friendly staff. Don't miss the gift shop, it's a great place to get posters of the work for a great price.
The Cuenca Cathedral is a beautiful, historic cathedral located in the city of Cuenca, Spain. The building was originally built in the Romanesque style and has been renovated several times since then. It is now famous for its large stained glass windows and ornate ceilings. Additionally, the cathedral hosts regular concerts and audio tours.
Cuenca Cathedral was a place of gentle silence and beautiful light coming throw it's large colored windows. By paying the entrance fee (1€) you can experience the peace of past centuries under the charming vaults.

Definitely worth a visit while in Cuenca, it's a very pretty cathedral and only cost a euro or two each. The staff were very friendly. We did find on the day we went it was closing at a different time advertised on Google, but we still had a good look round, we did arrive late into Cuenca.

It's an amazing place. Gorgeous! I recommend it to choose as a first place of visiting CUENCA. I think this cathedral is even more interesting than the Main Cathedral in Toledo. Visit the view terrace! It's wonderful. Ticket price is 5 euro.

Amazing architecture meets striking modern stained glass. Ancient history and artifacts. The trifolium is a must as you get both a great internal view of the nave & an external view from the arches above the stunning Gothic facade.

We really enjoyed the few hrs we spent in this historic city and Cathedral was one of the highlights, lots of old artifacts to see, I'd u r driving by Cuenca, it is a must see

Beautiful cathedral in this hilltop town. Entrance fee of €5.50. Some nice stained glass. A life size last supper? Worth the climb up the hill especially in the right light. Makes me think gothic kinda like notre dame on a small scale. Marks the centerpiece of the plaza mayor in Cuenca. Come up the river walk, ramp and bridge over by the parador hotel for stunning views.

The oldest gothic cathedral in Spain and a very beautiful one inside and out.
Marina Romero — Google review
The cathedral is beautiful but the girl at the entrance who charges the entrance fee (almost 5 euros per person) did not notify that the ticket includes a telephone guide with which you can learn about the works inside the cathedral, when we were more than half way through the tour when we saw that all the people had the telephone guide we asked and they told us that it was included in the ticket. We went to ask for it and commented that it should be given with the entrance ticket at the time of payment, quite politely and the girl was rude and said that we should have asked us which is absurd since we are tourists and we had no idea. The girl is short haired, brown hair.

Impressive cathedral with a unfinished Rheims-style primitive gothic facade. It has a rich and complicated history, and inside is full of fascinating chapels and hidden treasures.

Mysterious !!! Cathedral has a rich history, including Knights Templar, Holy Grail, Nostradamus, the strike of lightning ⚡️ in XX century…don’t miss the views from the back side
The place is must to see.
Ask at the entrance to show you the images of armadillo, turkey, puffing fish and native Americans/ Indians…

The oldest Gothic cathedral in Spain. Theres a cool pink chapel on one side. You can climb up to the top and get a view.
Restored turreted 1456 castle, open since 2010 for tours, events & battle re-enactments.
15th century castle rebuilt in the 19th by Eugenia de Montijo. Audio guide available and typically there's people dressed in costumes showing how it used to be back then. Interesting and fun. Great place to visit. Price was a it too high in my view, costed 13 eur per person... A price of 8-10 would have been expected as there's more to see than in most castles. Recommended.

Slightly overpriced and a bit "dampened down"for my liking. But great views. It's worthwhile downloading the app and listen to the free offline guide.

An awesome visit! The castle is really impressive and in an excellent status of conservation. This visit is a must do if you are in the area. Reserve at least one hour for the visit. As the castle is in the top of a hill, the views from the towers are awesome. It has also an interesting theme park dedicated a war machinery (trebuchets)

Worth a visit! This castle is quite lovely with various rooms to visit. You can walk all along the castle walls which is quite unique and you can get amazing photos of the city. Buying tickets in advance or at the window is recommended. If you’re also in the area, go visit the windmills as it’s around a 10 minute drive so you could do both trips in one day!

Wonderful restored castle. It is a beautiful place to roam around with the information on the scan code in English or Spanish. It's very informative. My only issue was the extra 3€ for views the weapons etc at the exterior of the castle. Still it was worth the entrance fee of 8€
Worth seeing and lots of views of the country and small town. Amazing to see such an old castle/fortress in such good condition, and be able to take photos and your time when exploring the inside and surrounding area.
There are 5 towers to climb up and overlook in all directions, and u will also see three old windmills that were talked about in Don Quioti's novel.
This place is in the middle of no-where, and a few minutes after u leave and look back, u won't see anything again - a very well hidden place with all the hills around.

Really amazing find so close to Madrid. I am rating the Archaeological Park (because the staff were a bit a rude and abrupt). That said, we really enjoyed the area, it is in an amazing state of conversation. Wear comfortable, closed shoes - the area is all dirt, rocks and pebbles, there are very few paved areas. This is not a complaint, just a warning because I wore flat sandals and was constantly removing pebbles, lol. There's a little museum in the welcome center with some of the pieces that the excavated. Really amazing finds.

The Archaeological Park of Segóbriga features a museum and walking trail dedicated to an ancient Roman city that existed on the site. A remarkable job has been done in preserving the ruins of a vast fortress that is currently comprised of an amphitheatre, a theatre, Roman baths, a necropolis, and much more. The museum tells the history of the site and the ongoing excavations. The city itself dates to the reign of Emperor Tiberius, circa 79 AD! A fascinating experience for kids and adults alike.
Spencer Lambert — Google review
Remains of the Roman city Sego (victory) Briga (fortress) built in the 1st century CE. It includes an amphitheater, large theater, Basilica, Forum and two Roman baths.
You park your car at the museum where there is also a small place with food and drinks automates. The rest is on foot and from the museum mostly uphill
The museum is small but has some interesting artefacts and a small theater that runs a video that you should see first to get some background information. The video is in Spanish but there is a version with English subtitles that you can ask for.
The city is in a splendid location with rolling hills on one side with a river below.
There are information panels at the various locations that are both in Spanish and English

Such a pleasant experience. They have a small museum that display findings from the archeological site, and video presentations on the history of the ruin city, which I recommend to watch to get a brief understanding before visiting the site. The only setback is the video only in Spanish, lucky for me as I have native Spanish speaker with me. The short walk to the archeological site is just so pleasent, the surrounding scenery is just so beautiful. We can walk into roman arena and experience the sound echo in it. Although this is much a smaller vision as to compare with the one in Rome but it is very worthy to visit and the entrance fees is so affordable only €6 for adults.

It is mandatory to visit the Car Museum where Alberto walks you through the history of the town with a very entertaining and fun talk.
You must also visit the Hermitage of the Desamparados.
You have to leave the car at the dam and take the Camino that leaves, it is 12 km round trip, walking is a struggle up the slope at the end but without cars or heavy packages it is easy and it really is the most beautiful swimming area that I've seen. Clean water, perfect temperature, good access to the bathroom, no danger... Daily from what I saw, bathrooms and bar closed but on weekends it is surely open.

Beautiful hidden paradise in Spain, it’s worth the drive. If you have a dog you can take it and let it enjoy the water.

Reasonable place to visit but really out of the way of most routes you are going to take in Spain. You can drive up to the neighbouring car park. The rock faces can be covered within 30 minutes. Signposting is not too clear but you will be able to work it out. There is a nearby lake where some people go for a swim or do some fishing.

You can park next to the picnic tables, it's great because you can sit and eat or have a snack there and then do the route. There is a map next to it that indicates the path you must follow, it is a very short path and it is also signposted. I recommend also seeing the landscape even if you turn around a little more because it is really beautiful.

You'll be hard pressed to find a more amazing hiking trail than this one. The strange, haunting land and rock formations, and unspoiled natural surroundings, are just the beginning. On top of that, some very creative artists have added monumental sculptures of every conceivable variety — from a serene face of Buddha to creepy skulls, and much, much more. The trail itself is not too arduous, though it provides a good workout is you complete the whole route. The kids in our group were absolutely mesmerized. So was I!

This route is like a park walk, this can be good or bad depending in your hiking skills. You can go with your family even with small children without a worry. I hoped more but it was funny anyway.

Poligono, Plaza Jardines Histórico Art, 1, 28300 Aranjuez, Madrid, Spain
The Royal Palace of Aranjuez, an 18th-century royal residence, boasts ornately decorated rooms including a dance hall and throne room. Originally commissioned by Philip II in 1561 to replace the old Aranjuez residence, the palace was completed by Philip V in 1715. The palace features over 300 rooms filled with royal ornamentation and is reminiscent of France's Versailles. Located near Madrid, it's easily accessible by train from Atocha station for a day trip.
If you have ever listened to the well-known "concerto de Aranjuez" by Joaquin Rodrigo, then this is definitely a destination not to be missed since it was the inspiration for the masterpiece of Rodrigo!
A wonderful town with the amazing palacio real plus various gardens surrounding it invite you for a walk ,preferably during spring !
Ken Konrad Kramer — Google review
Nice palace, definitely come visit it for free if you can. It's a bit small though, and one would expect the garden to be more well maintained.
There are around 10-12 rooms accessible by the public where the Spanish monarchs used to spend their time surrounded by luxury.
Ricardo Sandez — Google review
Far from the biggest or the best palace I’ve ever seen.
The palace has small gardens that need quite a bit of maintenance and uplifting. There are scattered hours in which the fountains are on which would be nicer, I guess, but the gardens aren’t much to write home about.
As for the interiors, there are some lovely rooms inside the palace — the most extraordinary being the Moorish-influenced one, which really is stunning. However, there are not many rooms that are accessible to the public via the route given. You can be done with the interiors of the palace within 45 minutes. At a push, you could spend 1.5 hours. The staff are nice enough but this is also yet another palace/museum in the wider Madrid area that does not allow photography inside. Bizarre considering other palaces in Europe allow photography and this palace was quite a bit quieter than others I’ve been to.
Facilities inside are also limited. I would suggest to visit if you’re a completist but you’d be better off going to the Royal Seat of San Lorenzo for a day trip.

A great place to visit close to Madrid. Ticket was 9 EUR and there were no queues. For me the most unique and spectacular room was the Porcelain room. Simply amazing! I am just sorry I visited in wintertime and the fountains and gardens were not so splendid as in the summer. Overall worth a visit.

Majestic palace about an hour south of Madrid's center, that's well worth a day trip. I didn't manage to get to inside, but it is just a pleasure to wander around it's courtyards and alcoves, under it's many arches and through its adjacent gardens. The town itself is beautifully situated along a river and well worth a stroll through.
Stuart McCleane — Google review
I didn't get to explore inside the palace, but I really enjoyed wandering through the gardens at the palace. These gardens are not so much flower or vegetable gardens, but well manicured mazes of shrubs, some flowers, and small grassy fields. The lanes are all lined with beautiful full canopy trees.
There are a couple of rivers bordering the gardens and a passing waterfall. In the centers of the intersections of the walking paths or lanes there statues, gazebos, and fountains. On the street sides of the gardens there are hotels, shops, and restaurants and bars.
I recommend visiting in the fall or spring when the temperatures are not so not. Luckily, there is plenty of parking available, some of which is free.
Joshua Michail — Google review
Imposing palace but it didn’t quite do it for me. The gardens are great and it oozes opulence but there are only a few rooms (about 12) and they charge €9 for entry so I didn’t go in. The gardens are beautiful and the architecture is great but not quite up there with some of the palaces of Europe.
david howells — Google review
The Royal Palace of Aranjuez is situated not too far from Madrid, an easy train ride away. Just head to the Cercanias station in Atocha early in the morning and get a round-trip ticket. There are several trains in each direction every day. Aranjuez can be done in a single day, assuming that you start early. You can visit the palace, then the gardens. There are also several choices for lunch in town. They're a little pricier than many places in Madrid because they cater mostly to tourists. They're still affordable. The Royal Palace is mostly about architectural perspectives. So your enjoyment will improve if you take a long walk around it. The rooms of the palace are richly decorated, but won't add much to your experience if you've visited similar palaces in Spain. Focus on the gardens which are inspiring, even if they need to be maintained better.
Georges Younes — Google review

It walk through the palace gives you a perfect 'picture' of the extravaganza of royal monarchs in Spain and in the world, in the past and today. The splurge, the excessive, the extreme. Based on what?

Really nice place with beautiful gardens. Shame the fountains are not always on, especially on the warmest of days.
I have attached a photo which shows which people get concessions, otherwise it's €9 to enter the actual building. We arrived a little late to do so, although I have been before many years ago.
We did do a walk around the gardens and enjoyed the scent of the roses and seeing the little birds in the aviary.
Bear in mind, in the summer it is very hot and often little in the way of shaded areas in some parts of the grounds, however under the trees its a few degrees cooler and rather pleasant.
Really worth the visit, very historical and quite romantic. The walks alongside the river are also very nice and I did see some people enjoying jumping from the bridge into the river and also other swimming. I'm not sure how safe that is however so I would ask locals before doing so.
There is also a boat trip along the river where you can also see the sights, but best to book as it was already fully booked the day we went.

Nestled along the banks of the Tagus River, Aranjuez exudes charm, history, and natural beauty. As I navigated its streets virtually through Google Maps, I was captivated by the rich tapestry of sights and experiences this Spanish gem offers.
Aranjuez is renowned for its breathtaking Royal Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site I enjoyed virtually touring. The intricate architecture and lush gardens surrounding the palace are a testament to Spain's royal heritage and left me in awe of the country's rich history.
When my friends and I were trolling along the Calle de la Reina, I felt as though I was transported back in time. The quaint streets lined with traditional Spanish houses and vibrant cafes exude a timeless charm that is truly enchanting. Using Street View on Google Maps allowed me to immerse myself in the bustling atmosphere of Plaza de San Antonio, where locals and tourists gather to soak in the vibrant culture of Aranjuez.
One of the highlights of my virtual journey was exploring the Jardín del Príncipe, a sprawling garden oasis that spans over 150 acres. The meticulously landscaped gardens, adorned with elegant fountains and tranquil ponds, offer a serene escape from the bustle of city life. Thanks to Google Maps' satellite view, I could appreciate the grandeur of these gardens from above, marveling at their intricate design.
In addition to its architectural wonders and natural beauty, Aranjuez is also a haven for gastronomes. Google Maps led me to discover many authentic Spanish restaurants where I could indulge in delicious tapas and regional specialties.
My virtual exploration of Aranjuez through Google Maps gave me a profound appreciation for this hidden gem of Spain. From its historic landmarks to its picturesque landscapes and culinary delights, Aranjuez truly deserves to be experienced. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or a food enthusiast, Aranjuez has something to offer everyone, making it a must-visit destination on any traveler's itinerary.

The Pantheon of the Duchess of Sevillano is a stunning Byzantine-style structure built in the 1880s to honor Maria Diega Desmaissieres' father and relatives. Nestled among lush trees, this 19th-century architectural gem showcases Italian art influences. Inside, visitors can admire a blend of paintings, sculptures, and tombs. The interior boasts an amazing Byzantine style that captivates visitors.
We visited on a weekday, so it was really quiet and there weren’t many people around. I really love it. It’s very well-kept, the surrounding area (garden) is very well-maintained. It’s free entry, you can access the path towards the pantheon and visit the surrounding grounds. You can also enter the pantheon, though you’d need to buy a ticket for that. Sadly they only accept cash.
The grounds around the pantheon is beautiful; strolling around the garden and spending the day there with a book in one hand is a good idea whenever you’re around the area. Recommended to go on weekdays for sure, to really absorb the tranquil atmosphere.

The former Palace of the Dukes of Infantado was built in the 15th century and badly damaged in the Spanish Civil War of the 1930's. A video in the museum shows the extent of the damage and the neglect of the building later.
But now it has been beautifully restored with the spectacular inner courtyard , the Patio de Leones, as a marvelous centre piece
The museum is nice with some interesting details like some painted ceilings.
There is also the beautiful marble tomb of Duchess Aldonza de Mendoza who died in 1435. It looks like she could wake up any moment

This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site university town. Not the grandest of world heritage sites but very historic. It was founded by Cardinal Jiménez de Cisneros in the early 16th century. Alcalá de Henares was the world's first planned university city. Not to be confused with being the oldest as this goes to Bologna in Italy. It has some pleasant historic buildings, a neat plaza and is well worth a visit as it’s a nice town. Just don’t expect an Oxford or Sorbonne.

Do not come to this school if you are a foreign student and need some documents from the university to apply for legal stay at the immigration office. Even if the foreign student's tuition fee is much higher, the school will not provide the required documents in time. The school does not care if the student's stay is legal in Spain or not, as long as the student pays the tuition, no one cares about the student's need. Foreign students are even being told to go back to their own country and take online courses. The one-year master's program is very poorly set up and the schedule is chaotic, with always impromptu situations: classes are changed at different times or classrooms are changed. The administration office is a disaster, they can´t even get your names right in multiple emails while your email address is literally your full name——they don’t even bother to look at it!

Plaza de Cervantes is a city space that features an impressive tribute to the Spanish writer of "Don Quixote," complete with gardens and a decorative pavilion. This urban square boasts an ornate gazebo and is designed to honor the literary contributions of one of Spain's most beloved authors. It offers visitors ample opportunities to sit and take in the sights, sounds, and scents of this beautiful public space while enjoying a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The street known as C. Mayor boasts a medieval ambiance and is home to numerous shops and eateries. It serves as a link between the Capilla del Oidor, Universidades, La Catedral, Muralla and convento de las Carmelitas. The area's shaded arcades and many terraces provide respite on hot days. Sancho could be Samwise Gamgee if he had followed the right master. I’m just saying.

Amazing to visit a house so old that raised Cervantes! Very well preserved and organised! Free entrance! And there are statues of Don Quixote and Sancho in front of the house! Loved it!

Even if you didn't read his masterpiece, if you are eager to see how a spanish house looked like few centuries ago. Then this is a must seen. And remember that the town is not far from Madrid, offers a lovely walking space with many restaurants. And the entrance is free of charge.

Nicely renovated place. It’s an impression of the time when Cervantes was born. Very important for Spanish culture. Museum visit is free.

Very cool, I didn't know who Cervantes was until after the visit but I learned a lot and enjoyed the entire exhibition. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Alcala, it's free too!

A must see when visiting Alcala de Henares. It’s amazing to go back in time where Cervantes lived. Free admission.

Took the Cercanías bus to visit Alcalá de Henares for the day to visit the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes. There was an interactive show, you get to explore the home, all for free. Expect a line, but it moves pretty quickly.

Alcalá is full of wonders and this old house is without a doubt one of them. It is however insanely crowded by ruthless tourists who flock for a gratis experience. Not a must have
Krzysztof Nosek — Google review
Intersting, even if you are not a fan of Cervantes' work, seeing how one lived during that era is fascinating. Can you spot the English grammar error in the sign? Hopefully, this stimulates the local tourist authority to fix it. This is a university town, after all. Such visible errors are....ironic, to say the least.

Although the museum is not that big, it’s nice to see the birth place of the most famous Spanish writer, Miguel de Cervantes. It’s also very interesting to see what the place used to look like from the exhibits. If you are in the area, it’s definitely worth visiting.

Parque Warner Madrid is a well-known theme park in San Martin de la Vega, with various areas dedicated to different themes and attractions inspired by Batman. It offers several thrilling roller coasters and rides suitable for both children and adults. Nearby is the popular Batman - La Fuga ride, just a short walk away. Visitors can expect an enjoyable day exploring all the park has to offer, including its many entertainment options.
The go-to park! I normally go every year with my fiends and it’s already a tradition! The attractions are fun and amazing, the environments are super cozy and immersive. The Halloween theme last year was amazing and I’m really looking forward to go experience it again this year, and also the new Batman roller coaster 🎢 Also loves the Oreo yogurt ice cream!

We went at the end of August 2021 / Covid. The rides were very cool, very much nostalgia / I feel like a lot of the rides have not changed in decades... I appreciate the estimated times for waiting in line in front of each ride (although oftentimes the estimation seemed kind of arbitrary). There were tons of people on a Sunday, a good number of which were not wearing a mask (at all / properly), but the workers at each ride were obliged to disinfect everyone's hands before each ride. They were all very friendly and I thought the photos at the entrance were quick/friendly and a nice souvenir, surprisingly well done and highly appreciated.
The stunt show was pretty cool, it seems like there was a lot more set up that they didn't use (flipping a car, falling/jumping from a building.. my partner told me about the show he saw years ago and then they did more..) the parade at the end was cute too- it seems like they offer a lot of options for kids! Rides and the parade.
Areas of improvement: cleanliness of bathrooms, app and signs also in English.

Great park.. rides are really great if you like adrenaline.
Overall park was good also... But lines were disorganized...if you ever been to disney you will see the difference.
Cheaper if you buy entrance in advance.

All is wonderful. Booked general tickets and platinum pass, they are convenient. My fav rides are Stunt Fall and Gotham City Escape! If you are non Spanish, the app is only in Spanish, so instead use any web browser for their website for the pass and activate the translation. The most efficient and carefully designed rides that fit most people with limitations.

A good Themed park near Madrid. It's around 30 Kilometers away from Madrid, working hours in march was 12 to 9pm. It wasn't enough for using all facilities and Attraction of park, also parking fee is 13 Euro
shahab jalali — Google review
We visited the park on the second day of Easter and it was not that crowded. We had VIP tickets purchased online and had to go to their office right after the park entrance to get the bracelets. There was a bit of a que, we waited more than 15 minutes. There we found out that the skip the line option attached to our tickets allowed us to benefit of this only one time per each attraction and this was a bit dissappointing considering the price we paid for the tickets. We bought there a photo pass that costs 25 Euros and definitely worth but be aware that it is actually applicable only for one family member and that person needs to appear in each and every photo, otherwise it cannot be used (e.g. we wanted our child to take a picture alone with Tweety but in the end we had to pay for it because the person from our family having the bracelet did not appear in it. ) So, a bit of a dumb rule, since a photo pass should be applicable for all family members. In terms of attraction they are cool, but some of them not really suitable for kids (e.g. House of Terror, big carousel). In terms of transportation from Madrid, there are some connections but not really that often. We took an Uber and got there in 30 minutes from the center of Madrid. All in all, the park is nice, has enough restaurants (some if them offerring also gluten free options) and worth a visit. For us one day was enougb to cover most of the attractions, but definitely skip the line option helped achieving that.

Great day!
Good to know: you can leave your car in the parking lot and have some lunch in car and at any time you can exit, go lunch, and then return inside to your amusement. Don't forget to talk to the staff and ask for a stamp in your hand in order to come back in!
Food is expensive. A chocolate/Nutela gofre is about 4,5€. A coke zero 33cl in a vending machine is about €3,70.
Attention to the closing time: more or less at 1930 a parade begins with the cartoons and at that time all the amusements start closing. So if you think you can enjoy the last thirty minutes in a repeat mode for example, forget it.
Parking lot is cheaper when bought online through the app for example.

-Too small teatro! We can watch show only at our 2 visit after summary 2 hours waiting (( good eating is in Starbucks only, but you have to wait too. Wait everywhere even on Sundays evenings
+Good decorations for Christmas and Halloween! Good attractions zones for all ages!

Been here in opening day on 25/02/22, many restaurants and shops were closed and in general the energy and atmosphere of the park wasn't very exciting. The roller-coaster are great but after 2 hours we were bored. We didn't stay for the shows as it was for limited amount of people due to covid and saw people that didn't get in after waiting in line for long time. I think they need to take care of the existing activities as it all pale and need paint and refurbishment. I think it's nice for kids but for adults half a day will be enough.

As someone who would consider visiting theme parks a hobby this park left something to be desired
Pros:
-easy to navigate and everything in close distance
-friendly staff
-some examples of good theming, especially loony tunes land for the kids
-the stunt show
Cons:
-rollercoasters look tired and need licks of paint
-rollercoasters all felt quite similar, and all very 'rickety' and uncomfortable - no 'smooth' coasters here
-hard to get to on public transport
Wouldn't go again unless they got some AMAZING new rides

A great day out.
VERY DISAPPOINTED with the reusable Cup offer, we bought 3 and the machines are very few and far between.
1 machine didn't work but blocked the cups for an hour more.
We were so thirsty we had to buy drinks, it was a big con really and we'll never do it again.
The park itself is great.
Andrew Gregory — Google review
One of the most important theme parks in Spain. I always enjoyed the park. The new roller coaster BGCE is awesome and really intense. Express Coaster is not killing you anymore and you can enjoy the ride. If you jump in the water rides, be careful, you will finish really soaked. With the Fast Pass you can ride everything for a reasonable price and also you can pay just for individual rides. Prices for food and drinks are good. Attention and attendance are excellent.
Gonzalo Gancedo — Google review
So so. It was good. But you pay full price, they only open at 12 and most of the restaurants are closed. Also, they don't allow food in which, for a family of 5 plus grandma is a lot of money and you barely have options.
The rest is actually good because they have many attractions for all our kids hitting all different ages. But, again, no shows because it is not a full normal day.
So, either you drown un people and have all the options or you have more of a quiet day but with a reduced experience.
Daniel Martínez Maqueda — Google review
Loved all the rides
The new Gotham city Escape is the best of all!
Don’t miss all the Rollercoasters, each one of them gives you an unique experience!
Very few wet rides as they have a separate part for that!
Lot of shows around the park, checkout for the timings and watch them!

Great place to visit no matter what age you are! Although I did find the ride Coaster Express an absolute living nightmare. I did see the reviews on it that were terrible and my partner just wanted to try it as he thought it would be funny but there is no support for your neck at all, I didn't care the fact that the wooden roller coaster was old and basically warped but every corner felt like we were going to de-rail and it was squeaking at one point and shaking so much that I felt like I was in a tumble dryer. Please don't take your children on and elderly people really suffered with their necks. Other than the park is nice! It was of course a bit over priced with the food situation but it's as expected. Not many food places were open at the same time so there was queues just to get into restaurants and it was 42 degrees so we just got a Starbucks and some vendor food. Would definitely recommend 2 days if you want to visit the theme park and beach due to queuing.
Bobby Walker — Google review
Nice atmosphere. Recommended, though get far from the stunt fall and batman scape whatever. It’ll ruin your back, mind and throat because of the scream u will have; but the water rides were amazing!
Mahoor Kaffashian — Google review
Overall a good park however some things could have been better. Food selection was quite poor (not many restaurants open) and as I came on a hot sunny day, I felt that some queues did not have enough shade. Coming here with public transport is a pain (metro can bring lots of people to an intermittent station, but bus can only take a certain amount of people to the park, I ended up paying for a taxi since the bus was full.)
Jan Jerina — Google review
Very underwhelming and disappointing. I expected the park to have creative ideas to match the theme. Not worth the money at all.

I visited the Style Outlets Madrid and was extremely impressed with the variety of shopping options available. The mall is home to a wide range of stores, including clothing, accessories, and home decor, as well as several restaurants and cafes.
The mall itself is beautifully designed and well-maintained, with plenty of seating areas and restrooms for visitors to use. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I had no trouble finding my way around the mall.
One of the things that really stood out to me about the Style Outlets Madrid was the great deals and discounts available. I was able to find several high-quality items at very reasonable prices, and the sales staff were knowledgeable and helpful in finding the perfect items for me.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Style Outlets Madrid and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great shopping destination. Whether you're a local or a tourist, there is something for everyone at this amazing mall.

Great place to go for shopping. I loved Mango and Desigual, but also Mr Wonderful, Intimissimi, Indi Cold… you can also have lunch/brunch before/after shopping. Car park space is really handy too! Having an idea of what to buy and a budget is key, and entering with an open mind about brands as some are surprisingly interesting!

It is quite large, many different shops. As an outlet you have to watch the times and come , to find much reasonable things. In the last Thursday of every Month there is extra discount, as written on the posters. We were able to find some good things, one must visit, when has things to buy….

Large discount shopping outlet and nice decor , some shops have good discounts but most just offer discount on the second unit that you purchase so it's the same as a regular shop sale.

Faunia is a zoo with a botanical garden in Atalaya, Seville, that represents different ecosystems. The zoo has hundreds of animal species from around the world, including primates, crocodiles, and tortoises from the Galapagos Islands. There are also diverse birds and mammals. In addition to this, there is a restaurant and leisure areas that make it an enjoyable place to visit.
Fantastic wildlife park with small animals, plenty to see and do for a good few hours, but quite manageable to walk around. I would recommend this over Madrid Zoo if you can't decide which one to pick. Food is decent and ok prices.

Amazing zoo park with a big variety of animals! We went to Faunia last week Saturday and it was incredible, there were many new species that I have never seen before. Also, we did the Saimiri interactions for an extra €16 and it was very nice and informative. The park was very clean, had signage and a huge range of different types of animals. Highly recommended for the whole family!!

Fun time for the kids - there lots of of cobwebs and it looked like it was poorly maintained. We spent about two hours and got to see the entire spread - it was really HOT when we visited so we skipped any shows. Be sure to have the front gate call for a taxi if you don't have cell service - the area is very isolated and it would be a pain to try to grab a taxi on nearby streets

Excellent zoo in Madrid where the animals are very well taken care of. You can interact with them a little on certain areas of the park. I found it to be really entertaining! You can easily spend 6 hours there! You can get in the pool with sea lions! We did it and it was a great experience! I suggest looking for discounted tickets online before paying full price. They are normally available. Parking is excellent and as soon as you arrive the ambient music is peaceful and welcoming. I highly recommend visiting it whether you are an adult or you have children.

Faunia is a family zoo experience, without the larger animals you would typically find at the zoo.
For my visit there were 2 shows: seals and birds of prey, both were nice, but quite short, though there were 2 slots each.
Otherwise, there is a mix of outdoor and indoor enclosures to view, much appreciated in the late August heat!
For the outdoor animals, most were hiding in the shade (don't blame them...). For the indoor spaces, there was a 50/50 mix of whether they were visible.
I brought my own snacks, but there seemed to be plenty of places to stop and eat, though some were not open, I guess based on the number of visitors.
Definitely book in advance. A week ahead will get you tickets around 18euro instead of 25euro online on the day or 29euro at the gate.
Overall, I spent probably 5-6hrs, taking my time with photos and revisiting a couple of enclosures.
Brian Wood — Google review
Lots of animals, nice recreation of environments. Many pingüinos and birds. Only couple of batter flies visible. Bit smaller than Madrid zoo but still Worth visiting!
Marcin Naskret — Google review
Wonderful choice if you are visiting with children. A bit rough around the edges but it makes for a pleasant day out and close encounter with the animals. No big animals are at this zoo, albeit that is as advertised.
Alfonso Comino — Google review
A really great day out for family visits. The routes have many indoor animal exhibits in case of rain, and lots of places to sit down and have a drink or snack. Restrooms are always within a short walk, which helps a lot with a toddler. They have a great area for bringing your own picnic with a huge play park for kids to run around and climb. There’s all kinds of animal interactions available for kids 5+, but smaller ones can enjoy the seals show. We had a really great time!
We went during the week in March and almost had the place to ourselves; there were maybe 3-4 families there in total.
One more thing: I don’t have a zoom lens,so the photos you see how they appear at eye level. The lemur was really sitting on the path and let us get close to him. (Hold onto small kids!)

A beautiful, historical park with a mix of French, Greek, Italian and English architecture. It is located in the outskirts of Madrid and is a hidden gem. The park contains many lovely features such as a charming pavilion, a lovely lake and many fountains. It also has a civil war bunker.
Beautiful park to enjoy an afternoon stroll discovering history and hidden corners. Great place for pics. Only open on weekends. Can’t enter with food.

I did the tour of the bunker that you have to pre-book. It did take me some years to get on the tour and in fact, I was on the list of reserves and received an email inviting me to join the group. I found it very interesting although you'll need a decent level of Spanish to understand the guide.

This is an easy-to-get-to and very little-known park in Madrid. It is fabulous. Loads of beautiful plants, trees, wildlife and buildings. Very peaceful and well kept. I highly recommend it and will definitely return! Tip: take a picture of the map at the entrance so you can plan your walk well. There is a guided tour but you must reserve it well in advance. We didn't get to do it as it was fully booked. Check online for days/times that it is open as it varies by season.

Such a lovely park! It's 10 minutes away from the metro (the entrance is the one close to paseo la Alameda de Osuna 26, not the one that appears in Google maps). The colors are simply stunning, and so is the ambience. Is a perfect break from everything so you can forget for a short while that you're in a big city.
There are a few interesting details about each place, but bring your Google translator as they're only in Spanish.
It is also great for taking pictures, both professionally or for people wanting to update their social network profiles 😉
There's lots of shadow, so it isn't hot, but be sure to bring your water (there are a few places we're you can refill the bottles).
No pets, food or bikes allowed.

Only flaws will be that most of the time you end up watching a video from YouTube, like watching a F1 Documentary in pieces, and their locker system is not user friendly.

Amazing conference centre. The sheer scale of the place was impressive. It was well signposted. I used a Lime scooter to travel the few kilometres to the venue and it was a really fun and convenient way to get around Madrid. The metro was located right outside the centre also so really well planned.

There are always amazing exhibitions here (Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Egypt, Pixar, Jurassic Park...). Whenever we visit Madrid we check what is happening there, and there is always at least one cool one. There is a Metro stop right in front of it so it is easy to get there even if you don't have a car

Great place to host conferences and exhibitions. I have just seen the F1 experience and as you can tell from the pictures it did not disappoint me. A great unique experience that we are so lucky to have in Madrid. I could’ve easily spent hours here!

We went for the Pixar exposition and the Jurassic World Lego. It was nice but a bit costly. 3 adults and 2 kids for 80 euros in Pixar and 60 euros for the Jurassic world. Costly.
