Peaceful Thracian sanctuary, circa 16 BCE, marked by massive manmade & natural rock formations.
I suggest to come early, when is not so crowded. The parking lot is located about 15-20 minutes walk from the complex, but it is easy walk, almost flat. And, actually, the trail is under forest trees shadow. Do not be afraid from the distace map shows. There is a small fee for entrance to the complex and also guided tour could be arranged.

Fenimenal healling placecwith intense female energy. I recieved many haings and messages there. Note to new visirots, walk throught the healing passages from south to north, preferably with eyes closed feeling the energy and information from the stones.

You can walk on foot from Primorsko. We have started from Primorsko Bus Station and the walk along the sea and then up a winding road about 2 hours. Once you get to the car park, there's another 1km walk to the ticket kiosk. Tickets are very affordable, 4bgn adult and 2 bgn child. There you can enjoy looking at, touching and climbing the stones. It's much better than Stonehenge, you can get close as much as you wish, squeeze between the stones, walk on them. The site is amazing! Each rock has got info in English. It was a total highlight of our stay! Whats more, you can take one of the 4 routes to get to the scenic views of the coast. Don't miss Beglik Tash, it's a gem!💖

We went in October and it was all free. From the parking place it's 1.3km walking by foot. Really nice and quiet place. It have a nice park with sitting places. The rocks are really impressive to see @Selontour #rocks #nature #Bulgaria

Wonderful and simple place with amaizing big stones, you can get there by car, free parking in the entrance and 1.5 km walking to the place, you can go in bike from Primorsko town until the rocks, no walking 😉. The tickets was 4lv for adults and the children was free ( 2 and 4 years ) you can buying at the place, they sell water bottles if you need it or forget it. They're wood table for picnic or rest.

The opportunity to see how the cults and traditions of ancient times tribes have been organized centuries ago, b.c.
They told us the best time to visit was on the sunrise. But on any other time of the day as well there is an impressive place to visit.
I can bet it should be epic also in the night time.
When we arived, around 10 am there was almost nobody around, at 11 am there were plenty of tourists around.
All you have to do is to read the info plates and the rest will be done by your imagination.
A must visit place due to its utterly unique vibe.
Childhood home of Kemal Atatürk, the soldier & statesman said to be Turkey's "founding father".
The embarrassment of not being able to host Atatürk had this house built by Kırklareli people. this house is a replica of the house where Atatürk was born in Thessaloniki.

This museum is a place you definitely must visit if you are in Primorsko. Nicely displayed archeological artefacts, lovely ethnographic exhibition, interactive lectures. The museum guides speak fluent english, they are willing to explain everything to visitors. The rooms are air conditioned. Although Promorsko is a small town on the sea side, you have the great opportunity to get introduced to culture and history of the region you are visiting. Must see!

(Translated by Google) Open every day of the week. A small, warm environment. When cooperating with the museum in group activities, very meaningful gains can be achieved. It has a historical structure where nature, archeology and ethnography products are exhibited. There are even artifacts in the garden. The very center of the city is at a distance where you can see the bus station. Even if you happen to be in a hurry, it is a museum where you can get essential information about the works of art blending Thracian and Eastern culture. It is one of our charming museums that allows those interested in design to easily get inspired and reflect the past in their works. No fee is charged. The only drawback is that this museum does not sell items as souvenirs. In my opinion, an urgent sales area should be created where souvenirs about Kırklareli culture that every visitor can buy and take home with them are sold.

Haftanın her günü açık.

The Strandzha mountain range is renowned for its pristine and unspoiled natural beauty. It constitutes a significant portion of the national park, which serves to protect this unique and unparalleled landscape. Although it may not be the most spectacular destination in Bulgaria, it nonetheless provides an ideal location for a relaxing and effortless excursion into nature's splendor. This area is famed for its untamed character, and it would be preferable if this aspect of the region remained unchanged.

The music was completely inadequate, a five year old could've done a better job than DJ Matt May, literally nobody was dancing, people were just standing. It's an interesting view and it's cold inside the cave. It’s a nice adventure but I wasn't prepared for the steep climb, which gets narrower as you reach the exit and then you’ll go downhill from there. It is a well-maintained area, so there is paid parking for vehicles and an entrance fee to the cave. Restrooms, cafes and souvenir shops are available. Be careful to reach the cave at night, as the road to the cave is winding and there are no lighting poles. You may have to drive in pitch darkness in many areas.

(Translated by Google) Sokullu Mehmed Pasha most likely started the construction of the complex in the early 1560s, when he reached the peak of his career. Documents such as inscriptions, endowment certificates and stylistic features in architecture and decoration indicate that the complex was completed in 1569 and in the early 1570s at the latest. The design and construction of the complex was carried out by Sinan, the chief architect of the period, and his Hassa Architects Association. It can be said that Sinan designed a range complex in line with Sokullu's wishes as a result of the dialogues he is thought to have established with the patrons. In this context, Sokullu did not want to see Lüleburgaz just as a destination, and took initiatives to encourage people to come from the surrounding area and settle there with the madrasah, primary school, water fetching and various structures that would contribute to its becoming a center of attraction.

Excellent wines and hospitality, great view..
Thanks for all, including the owner, manager Dilek Hn, all service personnel, including Mehmet bey. We really enjoyed our stay as the whole KAL group.

Amazing place and an amazing experience. The venue is very spacious and really peaceful. There’s a big beautiful garden overlooking the sea. The vineyard is also right in front of you. The rooms are also very beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Very high quality experience overall. You can drink as much vine as you want, accompanied by cheese plates. The food was also very tasty and the portions were really big. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It is a pet and kid friendly place. However, I think it is best for couples or group of friends. They also give you a tour of the facilities, the manager was a very friendly, pleasant and knowledgable person who helped us out with the vine selection and provided us with lots of useful insights. Definitely worth a visit.

Good wine, good setting, good people. Try catching a time rather calmer. Start with the rose at sunset and enjoy the dinner with elegance. B&B is very descent as well.

The location and overall view is great, but the service was not good enough. The food choices are limited. Unless you make an appointment beforehand or you book a stay, your options are basicly meatballs and pasta. The wines are OK, but expensive. No need to bother for a one day visit or for a casual meal.

We decided to stop off at this winery for a taste and snack while driving from Istanbul to Çanakkale, but it was disappointing. The girl at the front desk was talking on the telephone when we walked into the lobby, and rudely gestured at us to halt when we tried to pass. That was a bad first impression. It got worse when they would not sell wine by the glass or à la carte menu for food. Only a basic flight of their lower end wines and a mediocre cheese plate were served because we had no lunch reservation and were not staying overnight. The facilities/ambience are very fine indeed, but the wine flight was just OK. At least they agreed to give us a red substitute for the white on the list. However, this place needs better management and service. I should not have to buy a whole bottle, make a reservation for an empty dining room at noon, or book a room in order to get proper refreshment at a winery. They are not prepared to receive drop-in visitors, so don’t stop for a casual visit here. Barbare? Uncivilized!

Very good place in the city center, many shops, with a huge selection of equipment, clothes, shoes, household goods. On the 1st floor there is a large supermarket "Carrefour", there is a cafe, restaurant and many places for fast food. On the street in front of the mall you can take a taxi, safely and at a good price. The staff is very friendly.

You turn from the signs, go a long way, and then park your car. Afterwards, you continue on foot and reach the Barel Bağ house 😅 the walking part is nice.
The vineyard house is only starting to appear in the area where you park the car 😂.
Until then , you are leaving with the thought that we are lost despite all the signs .

Let the management of the Orion Corlu shopping center pay particular attention, as some companies located on the ground floor of the shopping center and operating with mobile phone repairs, do not issue receipts for their services, nor do they accept returns of products they sell, even within 15 days, based on international legislation that protects consumers and which of course also applies in Turkey.

Florya Güneş Plajı, located on the shores of the Sea of Marmara in Istanbul, is a popular city beach known for its relaxing atmosphere and convenient amenities. Visitors can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and various leisure activities while taking in the beautiful surroundings. The beach offers facilities such as beach umbrellas, benches, and sun loungers for a comfortable experience. Additionally, there are beachfront restaurants where visitors can dine and unwind by the sea.
I revisited Florya Güneş Beach, and it was fantastic! The beach offers great sitting and eating spots near the beautiful and clean water.
Although they now have fences restricting access to the sand at certain times, they do open them periodically. In the evenings, they close off the sand areas, but you can still enjoy the lovely stone side by the water. Additionally, there's a separate cycle lane, making it easy to ride for kilometers. Highly recommended for a relaxing day by the sea!

Nice beach on the Marmara Sea. Affiliated to the Istanbul Municipality Administration. The facilities inside are average and cleanliness is acceptable. The beach is beautiful Sandy with wooden umbrellas. Good restaurant to eat in. Near to Florya Aquarium and Florya Mall. The entrance fee is symbolic compared to the private beaches. I visited it at Today and the entry cost for an adult was 30 Turkish lira, paid by Istanbul Card. Good Experience 👍 only Problem water not A very Clean, Lifeguard very good Work environment

Entry fee is 30tl and it is done with Istanbul card “12tl for the students card”. The beach is so dirty, it seems like they don’t clean it or take care of it at all! You are not allowed to bring water or any food inside, they search the bags and look for any food or water to take it and you get it back when you’re out. There is a cafe in here where you can buy food and drinks but it’s incredibly crowded! Prices are reasonable. There are rooms for changing, toilets, and lockers. I don’t recommend coming here because of how dirty the beach is, it smells awful.
Nada Aziz — Google review

It will certainly not be opened until the motor ships that stand in front of the beach disappear.

Cigarettes everywhere!
It's the most filthy beach I've been to.
I agree with the other reviews. It's dirty and not a pleasant to stay here.
Entrance was 30TL with Istanbul Card.
It's a pity that it's in the Turkish culture to don't care about nature and clean behaviour. Same as in Istanbul and other cities I've been to. Nature gets a big stress through this.
Also the beach benches/chairs were dirty and several broken. Yellow cigarette staints on the chair and other sauces(?).
We've been at the beach at 10 am Tuesday and still enough free seats available.
If you want to save your time, don't to to the beach in Istanbul.
If I could, I would even give 0 stars.

Nice beach on the Marmara sea. Affiliated to the Istanbul Municipality Administration. The facilities inside are average and cleanliness is acceptable. Nice sandy beach close to the city. When I first saw it, I was like wow, that's what I needed. I realised later the beach is not the clearest one, you'll see some seaweed in the water and lots of cigarette butts in the sand. The beach is easy to reach with the Marmaray train, the entrance fee is 25 lira, which also can be paid with the Istanbul kart. Sunbed is included in the price. Restaurant prices are reasonable. Food, drinks, ice cream, shower, changing room, lockers are available. Good place for a day out, if you are on a city break and want some beach holiday experience.

And then after that I caught up with my family at the shopping center and It was also amazing, not a big shopper but it ended up buying so many things because there was so many name brands and cool things to get, I 100% recommend this place if you’re passing by!

I was looking to visit this marvelous place since the first time I came to Istanbul. I heard a lot about it’s beauty and complicity. The sea, the mall, the restaurants, coffee shops and the most important thing there which is the aquarium and there is a nice amusement city outside too. Today’s weather was so beautiful that I felt that the whole people of Istanbul were there but I don’t blame them because it’s very beautiful place to spend your Saturday there. The Istanbul Aquarium is one of the largest and most diverse aquariums in the world, with around 1,500 different species of fish, amphibians, reptiles and mammals. It's perfect for families who want to explore a variety of habitats from all over the world while enjoying some fun activities too. Highlights include diving with sharks and feeding time with the fish in large tanks.
A really fun experience. The aquarium has many sorts of sea dwellers and is structured with historical and geographic accuracy in mind. Definitely would recommend this if you are visiting with kids as it is great fun and for a small additional price they take photos of you with funny sea backgrounds.

Fun experience!
Good place for a family activity, I like that there are different activities inside not only the aquarium. The idea of having different moods and places is smart so that you don't get bored.
But I would recommend that they redesign all the charts and flyers as it makes the place look really outdated.
Lina Al Shura — Google review
It was a beautiful tour. I saw new types of fish that I had never seen or heard of in my life. Everything was organized. The decor matched the type of fish on offer. There are huge fish and fish from the seabed, and at the end there is an artificial forest, but it's not big. The important thing is that it was a unique and wonderful experience that deserves to go back again
Bilal Benserghin — Google review
Our visit was in april 2024
Entrance fee was 26$ per person (880tl) (for adults)
The place would be more exciting for kids; they have different sections (starting with the black sea, suez canal, amazon river, & different environments) each section shows the variety of species living in it
There is also some kiosk selling food along your journey
The best part for was the penguins 🐧😍 but they glass was a bit blurry. Also the amazon section is intriguing as they convert the place into a forest with high temperature & high humidity levels where there are some crocodiles 🐊
It would be nicer if the experience of the other sections was similar to the amazon forest experience
There is a souvenir shops with nice items (i got one for myself for 10$)
Layal The Guide — Google review
This aquarium is great. The way they have the different areas decorated is amazing!
Our favorite areas were the attic and Amazon. We were visiting Istanbul as a family of 6 from America, so we don’t speak Turkish, and there was lots of plaques that hadn’t been translated to English, but that doesn’t bother me.
We used public transportation to get to the aquarium and it was very easy! And the price for the tickets isn’t too bad. We did try to buy them online, and we couldn’t for some reason.
If you are looking for something to do with kids, this is a great option.
Marissa Dingler — Google review
So beautiful and "Kuzel", about 1500 kind of see creature. but price for entrance is a little bit high (350 Lira) without a provided service with the tourney.
ONOZONE STORE — Google review
You can find the tickets cheaper online. If you have bought them online, you don't need to wait for long. And, I strongly suggest you to go there not at the weekend. It's nice that English explanations are available, good variety of fish and also some other land animals. The only thing I don't like is it's too loud inside because of the kids all around! The price of food inside is very expensive when compared to regular prices outside. Also in the souvenir shop everything is extremely expensive!!
Illy — Google review
Really nice aquarium in Istanbul, it’s so big and has all sorts of fish and sea animals, with full explanation and writing for each one. Also the tropical amazon-like forest area is absolutely amazing, the humidity is like 80% i would say so you feel like you’re in gulf region or in South America or smth! It’s a wonderful feeling especially with the waterfalls and fountain inside it, but it’s a bit small though in comparison to the aquarium. Like you would spend around an hour maybe in the aquarium then around 10 min max in the tropical forest, but when you buy your ticket, you get access to both of course.
Hassan Go — Google review
It was really beautiful and an interesting experience. The variety of fish in this aquarium was great and the aquarium was very well designed. It is really worth seeing I definitely recommend The price of my ticket in March 2024 was 750 lira just to see the aquarium

The tickets for adults and children are the same
As i recall the price was 550 tl

Good place to visit with kids, beautifully presented with a lot of information. They made different sections according to the habitats of these sea creatures. Especially the tropical weather one is very good though be careful as the floor there is bit slippery. There was a really long queue, so it's better to buy tickets in advance.

Our visit to the Istanbul Aquarium was an extraordinary adventure that exceeded all expectations. As someone deeply fascinated by marine life, I was thrilled by the extensive variety of aquatic species and habitats on display. From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported into a captivating underwater world, meticulously designed to mimic natural environments ranging from the Amazon Rainforest to the depths of the Pacific Ocean.
Navigating through the aquarium, we were mesmerized by the vibrant colors and diversity of life in each tank. The layout is thoughtfully organized, ensuring visitors don't miss any part of the collection. Each section is accompanied by informative plaques providing fascinating insights into the creatures' lifestyles and habitats, enhancing the educational value of our visit.
One of the highlights was the shark tunnel, where we found ourselves surrounded by some of the ocean's most awe-inspiring predators. It was a surreal experience to have these magnificent creatures gliding gracefully overhead. The tunnel offers an unparalleled view, making it feel as though you're walking along the ocean floor.
The aquarium also features interactive zones, which were a hit with children and adults alike. These hands-on exhibits provide a unique opportunity to learn about marine conservation and the importance of protecting our oceans, fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding among visitors.
Beyond the aquatic displays, the Istanbul Aquarium impresses with its commitment to sustainability and conservation. It's evident that they prioritize the well-being of their inhabitants, ensuring that each species is housed in conditions that closely mimic their natural environments.
To wrap up our visit, we enjoyed a meal at the on-site restaurant, which boasts a stunning view of the sea. It was the perfect end to our underwater journey, allowing us to relax and reflect on the incredible diversity of life that thrives beneath the waves.
In conclusion, the Istanbul Aquarium is a must-visit for anyone traveling to the city, offering an enchanting experience that captivates both the young and the young at heart. Its combination of educational content, conservation efforts, and sheer beauty makes it a standout attraction, promising an unforgettable adventure into the depths of our planet's oceans.

This aquarium is very beautiful and it has so many amazing details. Me and my boyfriend had so much fun and it took us 2-3 hours to see everything. We went to mirror maze and it wasn’t the best, it’s definitely for kids. This aquarium is definitely worth the money. This place has north pole theme which is cool and also rainforest which is amazing designed and well done. I’d definitely recommend visiting this place.

The large shopping mall Forum Istanbul is located in the Bayrampasa District, about 10 km from the Old Town area. It has a wide variety of international and domestic brands as well as a wide range of entertainment options, including a Legoland discovery centre, Sea Life Aquarium, Joy Park, and cinemas.
It was a great mall since it had all the brands . I found great deals here.

What I really appreciate about this mall is the light. The architecture allows for natural light to pass most of the day, which makes (me) for a good time strolling around. Food is good, many good stores, entrance is impressive and you almost go directly inside from the metro station. Sealife aquarium is also there and it's a great place to visit with kids.

Good place for shopping and family leisure. Many outlets of the most famous turkish brands. Good dinning options. SeaLife and Legoland one of the best spots for family fun.

Many brand stores are here. Impossible to finish in one day. The food court and fun lap are the best. There's a small bridge you can cross by walking that connects the mall to Ikea.

One of the popular mall in istanbul. You can find everything that you want like electronics, clothes, food items etc. Also it contains all the showrooms for MI, samsung, Apple etc and other popular shops like mediamarket, techno, vasana computer etc. Worth a visit. But it is too crowded most of the time. Easy accessible using metro service from yenikapi. one can use m1a or m2a to reach there.
Kebal Bhandari — Google review
My kids and I like it! There are different brands; clothes, shoes and even well-known restaurants and coffee. The lego land and sea life are great to enjoy with your kids. There is a food court but we prefer to eat in IKEA as it is so close, 2 minutes walking.

This mall was right by the Kocatepe metro station which was super convenient. Great architecture without too many floors. Super spacious and clean. It could have more seating areas for the sake of the shoppers. It lacked some lighting but it was a great experience.

Forum Istanbul is a conveniently located shopping destination near Kocatepe metro station. Its expansive layout boasts a vast market housing a diverse range of brands, including both local Turkish and international ones. From well-known brands to niche boutiques, shoppers are treated to a wide selection. Particularly noteworthy is the impressive IKEA store, spanning across a significant area, making it easy to spend hours exploring its offerings. The mall also offers a bustling food court with a variety of choices, though fast food options dominate. Connecting the main mall to the IKEA store is a bridge, facilitating seamless movement between the two. Overall, Forum Istanbul offers a comprehensive shopping experience, catering to various tastes and preferences, and its location adjacent to the metro station adds to its accessibility.

Also there is a big aquarium(sealife istanbul)and you can buy ticket and see the too

The mall is nice, many of the international brands and most of Turkish brands. The place is organized well, cafes and restaurants area os cool and all the choices are available.
Metro station is almost inside the mall.
The area around Fourm Mall is very quiet and not crowded.
I recommend it of course.
Haithem Ghazali — Google review
I like this mall because of its huge size, you can almost any Turkish or international brand you are looking for here except for the French luxury ones like Gucci or Dior.
It also has a good selection of food scattered between the different indoor outdoor areas in addition to the food court.
It also has a very large Carrefour for groceries and produce.
It also has good access to public transportation with the metro station entrance being right in front of the mall.
The other benefit is being able to visit Ikea from a bridge that connects the two businesses together.

Visit SEA LIFE in Istanbul for a chance to experience underwater life up close and personal. This public aquarium has a large collection of sharks and other marine creatures, making it one of the best places to visit in the city. There are twenty-one themed zones at SEA LIFE, making it an ideal destination for all kinds of visitors.
A great spot for kids. Not as many varieties of animals that I expected, but still a lot. The place is huge, and they have a lot of places to swim around. There are sharks, sepia, giant tortoise, a big hall and tunnels, even benches along the way, so you can sit and enjoy the view. I definitely recommend buying tickets in advance for not only it is cheaper, but you won't have to wait in lines. Service is very kind, and in the end, there is a cute store with funny merch :)) Very good strategy.

I have been to the one in London which was way better than the one in Istanbul, though the prices are similar. This one is way smaller and it smelled bad. I expected to stay there for more than 1 hour but the experience took only up to 30-40 minutes. Not many exhibits.
It might be a good place to take your kids to as they have some attractions for kids and some playground areas, some of them with Lego.
I, personally haven't liked it that much.
Raluca Ioana C?r?bineanu — Google review
The selection of fish is great. They also have a nice tunnel that goes right through the big tank, but the number of fish in it was quite low. I guess it's an advantage for them because they have a lot of space to roam around. The other tanks were much better. I think this is the aquarium where I've seen the most clown fish in a single tank. I recommend going here, even though it was quite far from the city center. It was also quiet and there weren't too many visitors.
Mihai B — Google review
For people from abroad, please note that the tunnel is closed! This is not indicated during the online booking or when visiting the website with your mobile phone. I was there today and it was very disappointing. staff is also not professional and certainly not empowered to make decisions!

It was stunning! There is a big variety of species of different sizes. My favorite part was the glass tunnel with sharks and stingrays swimming around you. There were open aquariums as well. It was really wonderful! There are also a lot of game activities for kids. Definitely recommend this place both for adults and kids. You’ll enjoy it immensely!

It is not that big. And the price of the ticket was is expensive comparable to size of the aquarium.
It suppose to show the under water life but there were some snakes, crocodiles and birds 😅.

I enjoyed this. We went on a quiet day so was very relaxed. Lots of exhibits and a huge amount of stuff for kids and big kids. I used the VR headset experience which I enjoyed. Sadly the shark tunnel was closed today. Some tanks do seem too small for larger fish, however I wondered if this was due to relocation during refurbishment.

The place wasn't as good as I expected and I felt we waste our money it was around 330 LT for each person individual. It has bad smells of fish and also when you stare at their aquarium, you will fill a headache never stare for more than 10 seconds it’s high-level zoomed and you fill you used your grandma's glass.
Hussein Habibi Juybari — Google review
The whole aquarium is worth visiting once. Especially the big hall where the giant turtle is there has a relaxing atmosphere. It's really entertaining for the kids. A small playground, lego is great for them. But in my mind, the price is a bit high.

Tourist we charged double, I don’t know why? That is discrimination and they don’t care. They know that the children want in and parents can’t say no to third children.
The aquarium was nothing like in the pictures. All empty with almost no fish in the big aquariums.

The reason I rated it 3 stars, although it deserves more... is the closed parts that no body said anything about, I mean if you're closing half the place for maintenance at least say so, or give a half price discount, I went there to see sharks, I told my little girl we're going to see penguins depending on past reviews I read, but we didn't because the section was closed.

A lot of major brands have outlet stores here where you can find good deals, such as Mavi, Levis, Nike, Adidas, etc.
The mall itself is not that big so you can look around pretty quickly.
They have a special sales day on Tuesdays every week where the stores will display discounted items out side of their store.
It is easy to get to with public transportation as well since the Marmaray station is about a 10 minute walk, with many other bus routes going to places like Taksim as well.

The Church of St. Anthony of Padua, also known as the Bulgarian Iron Church, is a historic and architecturally significant church located in Istanbul. Designed by the renowned architect Giulio Mongeri, it stands out as one of the earliest churches globally. Despite being situated in a bustling tourist area, the church offers a serene oasis with its tropical garden. Visitors are welcomed warmly regardless of their religious affiliation and can admire the ancient architecture that has stood for centuries.
Hi guys,

GERMAN FOUNTAIN
German Fountain is a monument dedicated to the second visit of the Prussian King and German Emperor Wilhelm Il in 1898. The monument, which was presented in the name of Turkish-German friendship, extending its function of being a fountain with its political meaning and content, is today mostly known for its monumental value. The plans for the fountain were drawn by the private consultant of the Kaiser; Architect Spitta and its construction was overseen by the architect Schoele. Furthermore the German Architect Carlitzik and the Italian architect Joseph Antony also parted in this project. The fountain was commissioned by Wilhelm I| (including the drainage system) and then delivered to the Ottoman Empire. The epigraph on it was written by Ahmed Muhtar Bey. The epigraph in German is located on a bronze plaque at the entrance of the fountain.

The German Fountain (Turkish: Alman (esmesi), located in Sultanahmet Square, was a gift of the German Emperor, Wilhelm II. The pieces which make up the fountain were manufactured in Germany and shipped to Istanbul for assembly. The designs for the fountain were drawn by Spitt, but the project was carried out by Schoele. The fountain came into use in 1901.
