Parc del Laberint d'Horta is the oldest established garden and historic park in Barcelona. It showcases an elegant neoclassical design with a maze of cypress trees as its centerpiece. The three-terraced gardens, situated within the Desvalls estate, offer a glimpse into history and architecture. Sculptures of Greek gods and goddesses adorn the pristine landscaping, adding to its regal charm.
It is a park that should be among the must-see places in Barcelona. Thanks to the labyrinth inside, it offers a different parking experience. In addition, there is an environment where you can take a little stroll and find peace in the trees. I think it is one of the places that those who love green and nature should visit. Have fun.

Amazing park to get lost with your family or your love one. Great representation of romantic XIX century gardens from Barcelona's wealthiest families. Trying to go out the maze is really funny, the cave is great for a family picture and the pond creates fascinating light effects when reflecting the sun.
Alex Segal?s — Google review
This park though quiet with an amazing maze of bushes, is not taken care of well. Many areas had dried up plants. The water fountains did not have enough water. And the water was green.
I think if it was maintained better, there would be more people at the park.
I still want to get my kids here if possible, to enjoy the laberinth.
CINDY DSILVA — Google review
It is located towards the end of L3 Trinitar Nova metro. Very well connected. The entry fees is about 2.4 Euros. The park is one of the most oldest conserved parks in Barcelona. If you are bored enough roaming at the very crowded and touristic places in Barcelona, this is the perfect place. There is a nice maze inside which is extremely fun to explore.
Pranjal Nandi — Google review
Very nice place, fee is around €2 to enter. Small maze inside of the park, if you pay a lot attention to where you are going it is hard to get lost ;) beautiful plants and buildings, nice way to get away from the sun on a hot day.
Alicja Moczek — Google review
A very nice place. Everything is clean and well looked after.
Gave 4 stars, because it wasn't too easily accessible with a stroller. Stairs and tree roots and different level paths made the ride quite challenging.
Alexander Assmann — Google review
Beautiful peaceful park - visit it during December/winter, probably allot better in sprig and summer, but still beautiful.
Looks like there is a real effort to up maintenance.
Some loud visitors a little annoying, but all good.
Christan Boshoff — Google review
Close to transport and a very cheap every fee, a nice place for a little afternoon adventure in one of if not THE oldest conserved park in Barcelona. I deducted a a star rating for the many water features all with stagnant water, doesn't look like the water has been flowing in then for quite some time.
Kris Ramsey — Google review
Nice place in north Barcelona. Funny! When u go inside, it is not easy to go out. The feeling from outside is easy, but when you are inside the path, you feel lost! Google Map can't help because each path is around 60cm, so use your logic to go out.
May Bou Khazen — Google review
One of the highlight parks in Barcelona, the main attraction is a Labyrinth near the middle of the park. The park overall has a couple of trail paths which are not difficult to do, as well as other park features.
Main benefit is that this park is quieter compared to the other more popular parks in the city. The park is also walkable from the metro as well.
Vincent Chow — Google review
One of my favorite experiences in Barcelona! This is a lovely, quiet park with a maze and various walking paths.
Alexandra Rotondo — Google review
This park is gorgeous. We went during summer and there hadn’t been rain for ages so everything was quite dry and the maze wasn’t in the best condition unfortunately, but it was still really cool. The maze is a lot of fun and there were loads of kids and adults enjoying it.
We spent about an hour or two there and it was really lovely.
Kathryn Donoghue — Google review
Stunning and serene spot of nature about 30 minutes from the centre (by metro). Beware the mosquitoes by the water!!
Considering it's only €2.30 it's one of the best value attractions in the city, if you like this kind of thing. We spent about 90 minutes there but could easily take a full day in this vicinity by walking over to the viewpoints and other areas beyond the park.
Gary Riseborough — Google review
Parc Del Laberint d'Horta in Barcelona is a hidden gem that deserves nothing less than a five-star rating. This enchanting park is a tranquil oasis in the bustling city, and it captivated me from the moment I set foot inside.
The highlight, of course, is the stunning labyrinth that gives the park its name. Navigating through its intricate pathways and beautifully manicured hedges is like stepping into a fairytale. It's a fantastic place for both children and adults to explore.
But the park offers so much more than just the labyrinth. The historical gardens, with their fountains, sculptures, and lush greenery, create a serene and picturesque backdrop for a leisurely stroll. There's a sense of tranquility that's hard to find in a city as vibrant as Barcelona.
The Parc Del Laberint d'Horta is perfect for a day of relaxation, picnicking, or simply unwinding amid nature. Whether you're a tourist or a local, this park is a must-visit. I can't recommend it enough – it's a true five-star destination in the heart of Barcelona.
Johannes Kåberg — Google review
Great park to enjoy the nature. We didn’t need to buy the tickets, probably because a lot of constructions are happening and you can’t enjoy everything. Seems like a place for wedding pictures as well!😀

The garden is very beautiful, with a wonderful view and trees, but it lacks services, and I recommend visiting it during the day.

Passeig dels Castanyers, 1, Horta-Guinardó, 08035 Barcelona, Spain
Park Güell, located in Barcelona's Gracia district, is a renowned attraction showcasing the artistic brilliance of Antoni Gaudi. This verdant park, with its mosaic-covered buildings, sculptures, and staircases, offers panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. Originally designed as an upscale residential complex by Eusebio Guell, it was transformed into a public park in 1926. The park combines natural beauty with Gaudi's distinctive style, fusing architecture seamlessly with nature.
This park has some great view of whole city and also all in sudden you feel like you are some different world surrounded by palm trees. I don't know how to describe the architecture of this place but it looks like to me like I am in Morocco. It's beautiful.
Sonika Prakash — Google review
The park sits on a hill top which provides a spectacular view over the city. The architecture, the design of the rocks , the benches decorated with colorful mosaic were beautiful and unique. The entrance fee is a reasonable €10.
But be aware it requires quite some walks. From the metro station it is about 15 minutes walks. There are lots of stairs to climb. Although there are escalators from the street to the park entrance, some sections do not work so you will have to take the stairs. After we reached to the top of the stairs, there is no clear sigh pointing to the park entrance. We ended up going to a wrong entrance which is for residents only. In the park some sections are not accessible so you will have to return back. The park could do a better job with signage.
Aggie Wang — Google review
This is a must in Barcelona! What an amazing park! The lovely views and incredible architecture make it a must-go-to place. Make sure to get tickets ahead of time and be there at the time marked on your tickets. This park has a limit on how many can be there at a time. You will not regret going!
Rosanna S?nchez — Google review
The park is rich in trees and clean. No map is provided at the entrance. It was suggested to use the app. Routes are not all suitable to pass from if you have a stroller or wheelchair. There is a slope at the beginning and a good number of steps are to be taken to visit and access the whole park. In my opinion I think it should be free to go inside. There are no animals so far. I saw only pigeons and three small parrots flying around. The restaurant inside was fully packed and the service is slow and the servers needs attention. Food is not expensive however the portions are small. It would be wiser to take a packed lunch with you. Take a good walking shoes and non slippery.
Luke Bugeja — Google review
We had a local take us through the park and its important sights. We were here around sunset and ended up getting some great lighting as we hiked through the beautiful columns, the mosaics and sculptures. Whether you want to take in the history, the freshness, the quiet away from the city, or just walk around, this place has it all to provide a relaxing atmosphere.
Apurva Nataraj — Google review
What an amazing experience strolling through this park. Was somewhat busy for early January but still pleasant. Park was clean, well maintained, and provided lots of pathways for all abilities. This park has many unique features, architecture, and plenty of opportunities to explore the natural environment. Great place to sit and relax and enjoy a bite to eat.
Highly recommend visiting this site when visiting Barcelona, Spain!
Ernie Silhanek — Google review
This place is amazing. It had a beautiful nature park and it has also amazing architecture to see. The sad part is that you have to pay extra to visit the museum. When going make sure to buy tickets ahead to avoid not getting in. But if you have a chance then definitely visit this place!
Eliise Piirla — Google review
When you go here, prepare like for a small hike, as this place is up on a steep hill and it's a big garden you need time to explore fully. Make sure to grab the map at the entrance.
The garden is big and has many sights to see, it is advisable to come here either in the morning or as out of season as you can, otherwise you can't see much of the sights due to tourists.
The architecture is impressive and placed perfectly around the park.
Flavia Tuduce (Flavia) — Google review
Absolute beautiful place to walk around. I loved the experience. The views are amazing, all over the city. Bring loads of water. There is a good few steep steps to climb, although thats to be expected . 10/10. Would definitely go back.
Shannon Kirkwood — Google review
This is a renowned and picturesque park, masterfully designed by the legendary Antoni Gaudí. Its ideal location in the heart of Barcelona provides easy access via public transportation. It's a perfect destination for a day out with friends and family or a peaceful retreat if you're venturing alone.
Samuel Mellot — Google review
So beautiful! Definitely get tickets in advance. I waited too long and ended up having to do a tour in order to get in. I really enjoyed the tour and the overall scenery. The cafe was super crowded, as was the main bathroom. Worth it though! Also, there are multiple entrances so make sure you go to the correct one!
Lexy McCauley — Google review
Quirky place. Beautiful..buy tickets in advance. Also, plan for all of the hills, if you walk there and back. Depending on which direction you're coming from, there may be very steep hills or hundreds of stairs. The architecture is beautiful. Don't miss it.
John Abrahamson — Google review
It’s always a breathtaking experience coming here. As an architecture student it’s one of my favorite places to go. I definitely advice a guided tour and you will get to know all the details about this magical place instead of just going yourself and take a lot of photos. Take your time and walk around not only the colorful part of it but also the raw earthy side of the park.
Nathalia Hermida — Google review
This park is just so incredibly unique and beautiful. I could have wandered around there all day. The park itself is cool enough, but it also provides some spectacular views of the city. There was a flamenco performer and musician there when we went. The park can get crowded and tickets sell out, so be sure to reserve in advance
Joy Alvarez — Google review
The ticket it's cheap, the experience and the view are amazing. I was at the beginning of February and it's was crowded but not so much like we could still take photos, enjoy the nature and the view. Like most part of the city, the did some reconstruction so the museum in the building was closed. But the park is amazing, must see.
Elena Morosanu — Google review
This place is a fantastic spot to walk around and see incredible views of the city. The park has many sights and provides many areas where you can rest, stop and take in the views. Tons of opportunities for good pictures as well. Highly recommend if you come to Barcelona.
Mike Antoniadis — Google review
Park Güell is set on a hill with nice views over the city. Entrance is 10 Euros but there is lots of interesting architecture to see and walks to go on within the compounds of the park. I would highly recommend a visit but beware some of the walks are quite physically demanding.
Daniel Lhear — Google review
An absolutely incredible park with some amazing structures and mosaics by Gaudi. We somehow went to an entrance which was at the back of the park up a massive hill, so I wouldn't recommend going to that entrance if you have a problem walking up very steep steps in the heat. The rest of the park was absolutely gorgeous, you could spend all day there.
Rosa Brown — Google review
Lovely place but be prepared for a long walk. Take plenty of water on a sunny/hot day. Fantastic views of the city from several places. Has many well built walkway bridges to admire. Nice tiles mosaics view point. For those with walking difficulties, this will be hard.
P V — Google review
Is really a masterpiece. Every corner, every inch is unique. Very very impressive structure and worth visiting. Actually is a MUST visiting place in Barcelona. I recommend to have a tour guide with you to explain the hidden futures of the structure and the engineering behind it. Book your tickets in advance!
Aris P — Google review
A wonderful experience, slightly different than almost 20 years ago when I saw it for the first time as you need to pay an entrance fee and most importantly you must book in advance as it sells out easily. A different type of park where the nature gets Gaudi's touch. Highly recommended.
Oana duplea — Google review
It is a shame a 'park' is being turned into a tourist attraction with gated entry. Would've been the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon if not for
i) the traveling time/cost
ii) ticket costs, and
iii) dealing with massive crowds
Manage your expectations and you might have an enjoyable experience
Chi Kit Wong — Google review
Walking shoes are a must.
The entry is on the right of the grand entrance. There are many ways to follow and look around. This amazing park. The grandeur, the architecture, the views and the photographs you can take are just spectacular.
There is a cafeteria and WC so you're sorted for the next few hours.
CINDY DSILVA — Google review
Book the earliest tickets. When entering the park(entrance #3 -the most easiest way to walk-downhill), go straight to “ginger houses”. It will be a huge queue after 9:30 there. So, I recommend to visit them first, then - walk through the park. Even in rainy weather in March, this place is worth to visit!
Milana K — Google review
This is a chance to experience a creative view of architecture. The gardens are great to walk through, and the views across Barcelona are unrivalled. I booked my ticket online, and witnessed that anyone trying to get in without one were out of luck because they were 'sold out'.
Adam Baldwin — Google review
OMG! I can't say enough amazing stuff about this place!!! It was so interesting learning about the original plans for the park and seeing all the amazing designs. I LOVED IT! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Barcelona.
We got there early, which I recommend to attempt to beat some of the crowd. It fills up quickly. If you want to take pictures, get there before it opens and stand in line. When I go back, I'll know what areas to go to first because the area really does fill up fast.
I scheduled about two hours for us to spend there and wish I'd done more. In fact, I'd at least double that if you enjoy architecture and being outdoors even a little.
There's also a small bakery on site so you can grab a bite while you wander.
Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is a WINNER!
Amanda Vosloh-Tedford — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. We got there by bus from the city. We visited it in February. Beautiful setting, I can only imagine what it looks like in spring/summer. Fascinating to experience the three viaducts, impressive small buildings with quirky details. Really nice place. The cafe had a reasonably nice selection at good prices. I will be back.
Ida Anne Kunov-Kruse — Google review
This park is a delight to walk around, there are different things to see to add to your enjoyment.
The benches to sit on are unique and done in Gaudi's style with lots of small tile pieces.
There is a very nice picnic area with benches to sit at.
There is only one cafe that we could see which was very pricey and best avoided.
There is an entry fee to enter the park so bear this in mind.
Chris Mcloughlin — Google review
Nice park with a picturesque view of Barcelona. Odd architecture and vegetation. Weather was not so nice, but even though the landscapes were beautiful. Buy your ticket in advance to avoid queues.
Alexandre Bolzon — Google review
Another architectural masterpiece that cannot be overlooked. Highly recommended. Amazing view to the city as well. Make sure you get your tickets online and in advance. Will be more beautiful in a sunny day. Make sure to save some time to sit, relax and enjoy the view of the city.
Ali Lari — Google review
The place is unique and the architecture is interesting. The place looks nicer in reality and pictures kinds don't make the place justice.
The disadvantage is that the place is almost always crowded, the if you want to take pictures in the main spots, you will most probably have to wait in a queue for a few, or if unlucky, for over 10-15 minutes.
I'd say it's worth visiting if you are patient and not in a rush.
This house museum contains furniture and objects designed by the Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi who stayed there from 1906 to 1925. It is located within the Park Guell in Barcelona. Entry is free, and timings are 10am-6pm from October to March, 9am-8pm from April to September.
Was a very house, with very lovely architecture, was very busy when we went and would recommend buying tickets at the ahead of time on the website. It’s located in a very lovely park with lots to do and see. Great place for families and kids. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.
Pong Lenis — Google review
Very cool place to visit. The decor, lines, layout, etc is something to see! It blows my mind how places like these are constructed without the modern machines we have. This is a must see!
Kristi Fisher — Google review
It was ok and you could learn some more things about Gaudi, but I expected more. This was the house he was living in before he moved to sagrada familia and in the house are just some furnitures that he designed.
Lisa Asshoff — Google review
This place is worth a visit if you have spare time. However, if your schedule is tight, it can be safely ignored without missing out on a significant experience. It's an optional attraction that may not be essential to your overall itinerary.
YY Liu — Google review
The place is okay.. for a stroll around but there isn’t a lot of architecture and you firstly have to pay to enter the park and the pay again to go to the museums in the park!! The plants and nature is beautiful but it’s always very full and somehow the tickets are always sold out. So I recommend buying ahead of time.
Pauline Saga — Google review
Good building to check out in a good area. I didn’t go in but the views from the outside were great
Jainif Marediya — Google review
Wonderful place. It give you an understanding of temporary of your life. Because even if you are a Gaudi, your home become empty very soon....
???? ????????? — Google review
You have to buy tickets for the Museum, but they are cheap (about €5).
You can't miss to visit it, it was the Gaudí's home for over 20 years, and you could see where he lived and the way he lived.
You could watch a video about his life and the story of the park, which really worth it.
maria — Google review
Lovely city .. Gaudi is every where ! The House (this is not his house by the way), Segrada Familia even the public chairs on the high street ! On the very Same streets that he beautified, he was hit by a tram while on his daily walk (Not sure what to make of that!). Perhaps thats why the church is a building site until now.. lovely food
Yassar Al Rikabi — Google review
The appartment of the architect Gaudi is very much in the spirit of its Cathedral. All in curves and Art Nouveau decorations.
The wood is much used and makes the interior warm and sumptuous.
Oliver K — Google review
Set in the middle of Guell Park. Note: you must buy tickets for Quell Park, then go to house where they have a QR code for you to scan for the Museum. Lots of information and definitely worth the effort. Don't miss the Gardens that go around the house! They are awesome.
Mark Anthony — Google review
Beautiful architecture. The house is huge but he had 16 kids. It is interesting that his personal homes were more conservative yet innovative, while the designs he did for others, to include his wife were extravagant and even gaudy in some respects. But his practical designs like the water collection at his home in the park for irrigation are amazing.
James Arvidson — Google review
A fine house with a rich history in Barcelona, Güell, and Gaudi. There is a spartan decor and a few good features. There were no waiting time and not many people inside. They have free WiFi, which is needed to buy the tickets! Not sure it was worth the entrance fee, though...
Simon Wiese Thomsen — Google review
Just brilliant and a wonderful way to understand how brilliant the creator of Barcelona was! Visiting the park gives you a sense of his brilliance and mind!
J T G Nielsen — Google review
This museum explains Gaudi's life and projects. The park had no informative boards posted and the map online is not informative but the museum is well worth the few euros to understand Gaudi.
Alice — Google review
My wife and I took a look at the Gaudi House Museum, which is located in Park Güell. The museum is the residence where the great Anthony Gaudi lived for almost 20 years. A collection of furniture and objects designed by Gaudi is now on display here. Very nicely arranged.

Park Güell, Ctra. del Carmel, 23A, Gràcia, 08013 Barcelona, Spain
The Sant Pau Recinte Modernista is a museum dedicated to the art and architecture of modernism, located in Barcelona. It features restored buildings from the center of Barcelona's art nouveau movement, as well as beautiful collections of mosaics and stained glass. The museum offers visitors health and sustainability educational programs, as well as a historical recreation space that accurately reflects what a real ward of the hospital would have looked like.
This is one of my most favorite places to visit in Barcelona. It is less known but well worth the tour. The art and philosophie behind the architecture and design is spectacular. I look forward to returning on my next visit and spending more time.
Eva Villalba — Google review
Definitely a must see while in Barcelona. Former hospital build around 1910 turned into a cultural and historical place / museum. Each building is unique and the architectural details are astonishing. Hard to describe, you simply have to look at the photos!
Guenther S (guncatsch) — Google review
Another masterpiece in Barcelona. Never saw a hospital converted to a museum. The place is calm as a hospital should be. Amazed to see the design thinking of the architect with isolated building connected with tunnels. The place has numerous equipment used for healthcare on display. Highly recommend to visit this place. This is usually less crowded and tickets are available on slot.
Sanjay Gupta — Google review
A very extraordinary experience. The best part was that everything was written in English as well. A hospital build during 1400 and the items preserved are superb. It was a thrilling experience. A hospital museum. Worth it !! Must visit when you are in Barcelona.
Pranjal Nandi — Google review
Really a beautiful thing. Not only the decor is superb' but the story behind the site is inspiring. Designed as a hospital with the concept that to help patients recover their surroundings should be beautiful, colorful and spacious. The audio guide is great and highly recommended. The order in which you walk can be perplexing, but take your time finding the pieces mentioned in the audio guide as each one reveals another great aspect or story that comprises this experience. It will take you roucghly 2 hours to walk the grounds and it is highly recommened.
Meital Ben-Tovim — Google review
Great, underrated place to visit in Barcelona. The hospital is beautiful and intricate, and the historical exhibits are fascinating. On display, you can see medical equipment that was used at the time, but you don't need to be a history/science buff to appreciate it. Both the exteriors and interiors of the buildings are worth seeing, and since it is much less crowded than many other Gaudi designs, you can take your time admiring everything. Despite being a popular attraction, there was no wait to enter and buying tickets on-site was easy. If you have a few days in Barcelona, definitely come visit to admire the colorful, detailed architecture.
Maggie Kiara — Google review
It is an incredible architectural masterpiece. The fact that this was a public hospital is unbelievable. Descriptions of most of the articles & areas are mentioned at the site, but the audio tour(available in multiple languages) will definitely help you appreciate the beauty & the brilliant minds behind the idea and implementation of this hospital.
Reshma Parab — Google review
A must see in Barcelona! It’s so interesting to find out the history of this building. Stunning how this was a hospital until only a couple decades ago! Definitely buy the audioguide as well, it gives you a well thought out itinerary to take and tells you everything you need to know about the place.
Teodora Gavra — Google review
Amazing! So glad we included this in our Barcelona itinerary. Such beautiful architecture - can't believe this was a hospital until about 15 years ago..! We arrived around 1030am on a Saturday morning and it wasn't too busy (no wait to buy tickets), although it was getting busier when we left around 1200-1230. We didn't get the audioguide but still learned a lot from the signs etc.
Katarina — Google review
A truly unique and carefully preserved example of Catalan Modernism. It’s a little out of the main tourist circuit, and so doesn’t get so maddeningly crowded. The buildings are beautiful of course, but the exhibition of early modern medical equipment on display is fascinating and shouldn’t be missed.
Sourav Ghosh — Google review
Two tourist guides told us this is a must see, but usually forgotten by tourists. They were right. This is such a special and beautiful place. I cant believe it was a hospital for many many years!!! So lucky to also visit on a sunny day, it made everything more refreshing

C/ de St. Antoni Maria Claret, 167, Horta-Guinardó, 08025 Barcelona, Spain
The Sagrada Familia, a controversial and majestic unfinished Roman Catholic basilica in Barcelona's Example district, is an iconic UNESCO World Heritage site. Designed by renowned architect Antoni Gaudi, it stands as a testament to his unique vision and artistic genius. Combining late Spanish Gothic, Catalan Modernism, and Art Nouveau styles, the basilica aims to depict the life of Jesus and the history of faith.
If you come to Barcelona, go here! It might feel like a hefty price tag for a cathedral entrance in Europe, but it is 100% worth it!
The church is gorgeous outside, but the superstar is the inside. It literally took my breath away. Huge and clean and with capacity restrictions, it doesn't feel packed full of people.
Francois du Toit — Google review
Amazing church to visit. A real wonder. must see in Barcelona. Best to buy tickets online in advance.
Juan Jose Arroyo — Google review
In addition to being a stunning structure the process to enter is very easy. Easiest attraction I’ve ever been to. Show your ticket and go through security. Then your tickets get scanned and you can start the audio tour with your app. The tour leads to the museum and never fear - it leads you back to the Nativity facade where you started so you can look through again before leaving. I appreciated that it was not super busy - they didn’t seem to pack people in like i have experienced at other religious sites *cough* the Vatican * cough* but I can obviously only comment on the day I attended. The inside of the Sagrada is extremely beautiful. Bathed in light it feels calm even with all the people there with you. Amazing.
Note: you must buy your tickets online and have the app to enter.
Kalliana Kong — Google review
Amazing of course. I particularly liked the way the light came through the various windows. Cool colors on one side and warm on the other. Every detail, such as the colors or proportions of the hall have meaning. Leave time for the quite extensive and interesting museum in the basement. The queues and security process are quite well organized and people working there are pleasant, asking you which language you would prefer to speak with them. Some airport operations could take away lessons from these nice but efficient and professional folks. I was very impressed by the amount of progress since my other visit, in 1983! There was no color ( just stone) and not really any fully enclosed spaces then. I hope to come back in another 40 years!

It's incredible and incredibly beautiful. If you come to Barcelona, you should definitely plan to visit the Sagrada Familia. It's best to buy tickets online so that you can get in and be sure of your preferred time. The best time, in my opinion, is in the afternoon, when the sun shines through the windows and the colours come into their own. A visit to the towers is also recommended. We went up the passion tower and had a great view to the ocean side and sun setting.

As an architect, Sagrada was a dream come true to experience. I recommend booking tickets in advance to secure your spot according to your preferred time slot. Personally, I’d advise mid to late afternoon is, however during peak season it’ll constantly be busy.
I’d suggest sure to allocate around 3-4 hours to explore and soak in the sheer size, history and detailing of the structure - both internally and externally. Lastly, make sure to download the Sagrada app beforehand, to follow the audio guide as your explore on foot.

Must visit. Our guide said we had really good sun that day so it really depends on the good weather to enjoy the kaleidoscope colours illuminated into the church!
If you like cool colours like blue and green, come in when the morning light shines. If you like warm colours of autumn, come towards sunset timings.
Suggest to join the tour to learn the significance of each structure. It looks complicated n stern but is filled with symbolism and stories. Wonderful.

Visited the place earlier and it was a wonderful experience to observe the architecture and detailing around the building. It's a real piece of art and admire the work done so far. Did not get chance to get the ticket to enter as no tickets were available at the counter. It is always advisable to book in advance if you are planning to visit the place. There are many good food choices around. Overall great experience and a must visit place while in Barcelona.

Breathtaking experience. You expect a classical church but this is completely different. Modern and classical art combined. No boring golden altars or statues but brilliant architecture and philosophy of a genius. The best monument i have ever visit. The 45 min audio guide (there is also an 25 min express option) is a very inspiring and extremely informative enabler. I fully recommend it, it makes the experience complete and gives you all the astonishing context to really enjoy this piece of art.

A amazing building, but also a very expensive exhibit. The app was very well designed and the ticket sharing was also high quality. May I suggest providing a more detailed audio guide in the app for those people wanting even more detail, including for those walking around the outside and the towers. The towers were also very limited in the length of the walk, which was not well communicated. Very friendly staff and an astonishing space.

Definitely a must visit in Barcelona. It’s magnificent! Their entry system has improved so much that you don’t need to queue up to get in anymore if you buy tickets online.
The entrance was a lil troublesome with the security checks but the staff were all very friendly and made the entire process smooth and welcoming.
The ticket although was pretty steep but came with a great audio guide that made the entire experience truly amazing.

Exceeded my expectations. Pictures don't do it justice. We bought tickets ahead, and went when it opened. There was no waiting or crowds for the first hour. It was quite busy when we left, so glad we took the approach we did. Absolutely loved the free audio guide/app, it describes things like how Gaudi used nature as inspiration. The columns, for example, look like trees. The reflection of the colorful sunlight through the glass onto the floor, ceiling and columns is absolutely breathtaking. Don't forget the museum downstairs.

Needless to say, this place is a must see in Barcelona. Regardless of your religion, you would enjoy the great architecture of the place. The windows artwork is mesmerizing, you should choose a relatively sunny day to enjoy the lights and colors throughout the basilica. Try to reserve the tickets early and plan your trip ahead because the tickets get sold out really fast.
Manar Sabbagh — Google review
The place is truly unique and does not resemble any other church. You have to order tickets in advance and I highly recommend adding one of the church’s towers to your visit. You reach the top by elevator and go down by foot. When entering the place, there is an airport like security check and bags scan, but the process is very smooth

Absolutely breathtaking, I have never seen anything like it! The immense amount of thought behind every little detail is incredible, the audio guide was really good for getting all the information. About the different colours of the mozaïek, the pillars and the statues. We did not go up the towers so I can’t say much about that, however the cathedral is truly amazing and I really recommend buying tickets in advance online.

This is a monumental place steeped in history. The building's architecture is breathtaking and arguably one of the best in the world. Rich in history, you can feel its significance when you step inside. Make sure to bring headphones to listen to the audio recordings if you're visiting alone without a tour guide (as they can be expensive). Arrive early and book tickets in advance, and try to avoid weekends if possible. Restrooms are located outside along the side wall.
Hesham Alsh — Google review
You already know how amazing this was. I wasn’t that excited about going to “another cathedral,” but this was totally different. It was modern and more a work of science than art. I mean so cool. You have to go when the sun is coming through the glass. Get the free audio guide downloaded onto your phone. It’s really enlightening.

Absolutely stunning! We were fortunate to be greeted by a police officer who gave us a private tour. The panoramic view was amazing, and the surrounding area is easy to walk to see more landmarks. It's lovely strolling the streets of Barcelona. Go there, explore, experience the culture, and cross it off your bucket list!

Stunning unfinished cathedral. The inside is the opposite of a normal „boring“ church and really brings a special beauty into this building. There is a reason why Gaudi is called one of the history‘s greatest architects. The whole concept is so creative that even I‘m not a big fan of churches was impressed and spent longer than expected here. Would also recommend the passion tower facade to climb.

Absolutely stunning!! This should be #1 on your things to do in Barcelona! Once you see it in person, it's so much more amazing in person than in pictures!
NOTE - BUY TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME online to get inside! They get sold out quickly, and unfortunately they were sold out for the next week, so we couldn't see the inside.
But the structure outside was magnificent and I totally recommend it.
David Nagel-Nunez — Google review
Touring this cathedral was a fabulous experience! I booked a tour, which enables you to view it at a particular time. On a sunny day, the sun fills the cathedral with an amazing display of light. Although one tower and one facade are not yet finished, what is already built is simply splendid.

Simply put, it’s a masterpiece. One of the modern wonders of the world. I’ve gotten to visit 3x over the last 7 years and it’s been awesome watching it come together. It’s already incredible, but should be even more so when all the construction is completed. A masterpiece.
Brendan Sullivan — Google review
It's definitely worth visiting this place. Architecture is amazing. Go have a closer look at the exterior. Each and every object has more detailed work and a story behind it. It's still under construction and planning many more to the existing architecture, and the interior looks so amazed and beautiful. It's worth visiting this place in Barcelona.

One of the most beautiful artistic symbols I have ever seen. You should buy your tickets online to grant the access at a preferred time. Large group visits can be organized only paying for a guide. Online guide was really clear and exhaustive, it permitted me to understand what’s the story telling of the Cathedral. Amazing!
Daniela Figlioli — Google review
Really don't have the words to describe how magical a building this is. You have to see it to believe it, just incredible. If you want great photos of the exterior then you are better getting these from the street as opposed to paying the entrance fee. Inside is stunning too though.

What a place!
It is a Church, it is a museum, it is having history in its every corner.
What design, what creativity and what the usage of stones.
If you are in Barcelona, you must visit this place because it is very alive, vibrant and very good atmosphere all around.
Good food can be enjoyed. One should hire a guide and one should book the tickets in advance, online though the waiting is not too long but still it is recommended.
Enjoy the vibe all around this place.

Most beautiful church, and possibly the most beautiful place I have ever been. It really can't be described without seeing it. It's a true work of art. I highly recommend doing the towers while you're there. I also recommend buying tickets in advance. We had a lovely tour in English and Spanish, and it made it much more enjoyable understanding the history behind the conception and ongoing plans.

I know it’s top attraction of Barcelona, but I am not 100% sure I totally enjoyed and understood such a mixture of different styles and ideas. You definitely need to go around just to get an idea, and it’s up to you to decide how you like it. We couldn’t get in as all online tickets were sold even for the upcoming several weeks. Some people say it’s more beautiful inside than outside, so I guess it’s for the next time. In any case, I personally cannot imagine standing outside for hours in order to get in, especially if it’s hot outside.
Anya Nura — Google review
Incredible place!! I loved meeting you. I hope to return another day and be willing to pay 40 euros to see the island from the inside. It's very impactful.
There is a shop nearby to buy souvenirs but everything is expensive, if you walk a few more blocks you will find cheaper places with the same product.
Be careful as there are a lot of people there.

What a beautiful experience it was to have visited this place. The outside of the cathedral is amazing no doubt, but the interior just touched my soul. I literally couldn’t hold my tears back when I saw where Gaudi’s crypt was. To have imagined and made such a surreal masterpiece, is beyond my imagination. No wonder his work is so popular and that he was so well respected and loved. It is a beautiful piece of art, must visit. Every penny & second invested was worth it!
Paulomi Roy — Google review
Last work of the genius and here you find all his magic view. The best view of course is the old side with the nativity. The rest seems to be tentative to follow the maestro. Inside is great especially if you can go very early before the mass is coming.

A must see in Barcelona! Definitely purchase a guided tour well in advance to make sure you get in and to learn about the history. Because we had a scheduled tour at 9 am, we did not have to wait in a line to enter.
We did the optional tower tour, which I found well worth the cost and the time. The spiral staircase coming down is quite narrow and steep. I recommend putting any bag you may have in one of the lockers and having your hands free when you descend.
Allow 2 to 3 hours for the visit.
I can't begin to describe how beautiful the stained glass is and how inspiring the design and architecture are.
Go!

I've been inside many beautiful churches and this is the prettiest I've been in. The stained glass windows show so much beautiful colorful light. The ceiling is very tall and the church is huge. In fact, it's not even a church. It's an entire basilica! An audio guide is recommended as it helps a lot.

The 146-meter-high Torre Agbar, designed by French architect Jean Nouvel and inspired by images of geysers, became a symbol of the urban landscape because of its contemporary design. The building became a tourist attraction because of its dazzling appearance and functionless structure.
Amazing building with a night light show. You can see this building from the different part of the city. Better see this building at evening with all the color lights up.
Yaroslav Kerget — Google review
We went to take pictures of La Torre Agbar, because it was one of the touristic places I used on my design: Barcelona Heart. We took a few pictures with the Bag and I used one of them on the promotional video. The pink and green of the blossomed trees, with the red and blue shades of the building, reminded me of colours of some of the Zen water colour paintings I used to see when I was studying art.

The Glòries Tower is a prominent landmark in Barcelona, with a unique bullet shape that stands tall and reflects the colors of the Mediterranean. While the building has an impressive exterior, and the entrance to the lookout is clean and well-maintained, the view from the lookout was not as good as we had hoped. The louvered window obstructed our view of the city. However, we had fun playing on the interesting shaped "cloud" inside the lookout, which provided a good workout.

A very eye-catching skyscraper. I visited at day but I heard it has a stunning view at night. It isn't allowed to be visited by tourist. You can also notice this building around the city.

This was worth the hype. To watch the busy day of Barcelona from all the roads, tram lines, and trains to watch the sunset was phenomenal. I made sure to go towards the end spent about like 2 hours here as I wanted to catch the 360 view of daylight and of course watch the sunset. Must visit here to end your sightseeing.

The famous “egg” of Barcelona, place of many names, some of them a bit dirty 😉
It’s one of the most famous buildings in Barcelona, so there is no point of trying to be bitty with the review
It’s a huge office building with an interesting design that looks cool during the night time. Every year there’s a man climbing on top of it. Nice show to watch, hope he will always succeed
It’s a huge office building and you can get inside only if you want to climb up to the view point. The view is worth it, from what I’ve been told

Iconic building in Barcelona, during the day it is only a different shaped building but at night is is lighted and bright. In the middle of the city! It can be viewed from many Barcelona spots and checking it closely is great. Some special days the lights are programmed with a special thematic.

This was such a nice place to visit to get an overview of the city - would recommend early in your visit to help orient yourself.
The museum exhibit on the ground floor was also beautifully curated and a nice extra to the main attraction of the 360 degree view.
Helpful and attentive staff, clean bathrooms and a well stocked, reasonably priced souvenir shop.

The best climbing route in Barcelona. The facade is pretty sturdy. I didn't break any windows but I can tell that it would be easy for someone not as careful as me. The workers on the floor near the top were friendly and we took some pictures together. The view from the top would be spectacular if not for the road works near the tower (hence only 4 stars). The security was OK but they didn't make us feel welcomed there. Overall it was a very nice climb that I did with my friend but we will not come back there because some people there were rude.

We got €3 off for a Black Friday deal and can honestly say it’s the best €12 we spent in Barcelona. What we didn’t expect was the display before you go up to the observation deck which is on the 30th floor. There are loads of plants and animals made out of paper which are very impressive. The views when you get to the top are great too. There were about 4 other people on the deck with us so there was plenty of chance to look out of the windows at the breath taking views. I’d highly recommend coming here.

As you can see from my previous reviews, my kids are used to visit museums. Usually great experiences.
I did said at reception how many adults and kids we were. And we did pay all the entries, be careful with slander…
Since you mentioned: it’s an abuse to consider children only up to the age of 9 y.o. Children are widely considered up yo 12 y.o. Again, an evidence that you are not child friendly.
We followed other persons to the patio, which had door opened. I guess you will offend the other customers too.
If you had air conditioning, consider install new ones, because it was insanely hot! (Maybe that’s why the patio door was open …)
Please take feedback to improve, not to offend your customers. If your museum is more suitable for adults loving circus, which I can understand, please advertise accordingly.
You will see previous reviews, from other customers, aligned with what I have just written here. Continuous improvement is an art…

It was a rainy day so there was ample parking but limited public restrooms at the entry where bus trips lined up to relieve themselves. Certainly a monument to behold. Its wonderful to walk on history. Very evocative of medieval cliches (you transport yourself to those times without a lot of effort, you expect the taxman at the gate to ask you for some fee to allow your produce to go inside for selling, if you know what I mean).
However, overcrowded scene brings down the fantasy 2 notches. Signs of the times…

Besalú is a medieval town with a 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the Fluvià river.
The name Besalú is derived from the Latin Bisuldunum, meaning a fort on a mountain between two rivers.
The town's importance was greater in the early Middle Ages, as capital of the county of Besalú, whose territory at one point extended as far as Corbières, Aude, in France. Wilfred the Hairy, credited with the unification of Catalonia, was Count of Besalú.

Besalù in Spain is a captivating medieval town, renowned for its striking Romanesque bridge that stretches across the Fluvià river. This historically rich town, a part of Catalonia, is a treasure trove of ancient architecture, including the remnants of a once-formidable fortress and a Jewish bathhouse dating back to the 12th century. The cobblestone streets, flanked by well-preserved medieval buildings, transport visitors back in time. Besalù is not only a feast for history enthusiasts but also offers delightful culinary experiences with its local Catalan cuisine. The Pont de Besalú is a medieval stone bridge that features arches, defense towers, two turreted gates and a heavy portcullis. It was built during the Middle Ages and first recorded in 1075. The structure has undergone periodic modifications to bolster its defensive capabilities over time. Though it suffered damage during the Spanish Civil War in 1939, it was repaired soon after and remains an exquisite pale sandstone bridge today.

On top of this, you are still entitled to claim a tax refund, and all do it in online way for the tax refund, which makes it all become more manageable.
Outside of this shopping village, there are two huge factory outlets of Nike and Mango. Cafe and restaurant are available here, and free wifi.

So… this is only for those who crave branded shopping outlets. I got almost 70% of the rack price but not all brands have similar offerings. To each his own. Your VIP 10% does not apply to the premium brands. So do not embarrass yourselves. I was last here pre Covid and the place is very nicely maintained and is great for 2-3 hours to kill. Also impressed by the cleanliness of the lavatories!
I definitely had a great time.
Only unpleasant event is that the bus only departs now from the central station instead of Passig De Gracia where I used to hop on. There is no signages at the station and you need to ask around before knowing where to find the operator.

La Roca Village is a must-visit shopping destination for anyone exploring Barcelona. Situated just outside the city, this luxurious outlet village offers a wide range of high-end brands at discounted prices, making it an absolute haven for fashion enthusiasts. However, there are a few important factors to consider before embarking on your shopping spree.
Firstly, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of planning your trip carefully around the bus timings. While La Roca Village is easily accessible by public transportation, it's crucial to keep track of the last bus departing at nine. Missing this bus can result in unnecessary complications, as alternative transportation options may be limited and costly.
Once you've ensured a smooth journey, prepare to be amazed by the extensive selection of footwear available at Armani. With a large collection to choose from, shoe lovers will find themselves in absolute bliss. From elegant formal shoes to trendy sneakers, Armani offers something for every taste and occasion.
Another brand worth mentioning is Paul & Shark, which provides exceptional value for money. Their prices are noticeably lower compared to ordinary stores, allowing shoppers to enjoy the best of luxury fashion without breaking the bank. Don't miss out on the opportunity to snag some incredible deals at this store.
While La Roca Village offers an exceptional shopping experience overall, it's worth noting that the perfumes sold here tend to be quite expensive. For fragrance enthusiasts, it might be wise to explore other options before making a purchase. There are numerous perfume boutiques in Barcelona that offer a wider range of choices at more competitive prices.

This is an awesome place to shop around. Spacious and well plan outlet to visit. Ample parking space. Many restaurants and cafes too. Plenty of offer and sales throughout the year. Up to date design of the products. Free wifi and parking. Each time visiting Barcelona, I will pop by this place. Worth to visit.

Really nice shopping place for women, and fortunately there are many good places where the man can go and relax. There are nice places to eat, and their toilet facilities are good. You are allowed to bring your dog and there is a smoking area "but be considerate of other non-smokers" You can spend half a day here, but it can be a bit boring for men. There is a lack of real men's shops, the only type of shops they have out here are sunglass, bag and clothing shops. But can still recommend visiting the place if you like shopping. 4 stars ☀️☀️☀️☀️

Enjoyed the bus journey here and the guide did a good job in giving some information about the scenes along the journey. Architecture was beautiful here, loved the rest spaces and bathroom here.
Slightly disappointed by the discounts at the stores here, they are not that great but overall it’s a nice trip.

Decent upscale outdoor outlet mall. Great selection of stores. We focused on women’s bags. Lots of designer places for that. The Nike store is small but has good deals. Under Armor, Adidas, Rampe Lauren, etc didn’t have good deals.

Wow!! They have everything I expected and so much more. I found amazing deals and could’ve shopped all day. It’s expensive to get to by cab ($65) from Barcelona.
ATTENTION: there are no cabs when you leave. Go to the concierge and they order a cab for you. It was so worth the drive!

I absolutely loved this place
Definitely worth visiting.

I was so impressed with the styling of the place.
There are multiple shopping stores most of them are luxury shops.
Two to three restaurants to have lunch or dinner and an amazing waffle shop.
Ghada Abu Ashour — Google review
This is a really huge open air mall with a lot of stores from various price ranges and popular brands. In addition, there are multiple restaurants and food options. The structure and design of the place is really lovely and there is a nice playground on site and ample parking space. Most of the stores have a 50% discount for the second item.
The large outlet stores of Nike and Mango are not inside the village , but next to it.

Great shopping area, much smaller than Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in USA. But still satisfying. Curso ilusione Pizza is a perfect choice of food.

Turreted Gothic fortress & palace dating to the 11th century, flanked by viewpoints & rugged trails.
Excellent visit to enjoy a medival castle and the natural park!
The parking has sufficient space for many cars and it is located just about 3Km away from the castle. There are two ways up: the shorter one that is a bit more steep (15min to the castle) or the longer one that is a nice stroll on a wide path (aprox 30min walk), perfect for a family day excursion.
Once you arrive at the castle there is a cabin where you will find a guide. The price to get a guide is so minimal compared to the price to see the castle without one, that it was a no brainer for me. The visit takes well over an hour and you can stay as long as you want afterwards to see again all the areas. I would recommend to check the castle's website beforehand to see availability and to request a guide in another language if you need it (as most visits are done in Catalan). As a plus, the same entrance to the castle gives you free access to the museum 'La Gabella' in Arbucies (the town next door) where many objects encountered during the excavation of the castle are currently displayed.
Well worth the visit to both places: castle and museum; really enjoyable to see and learn.

Beautiful Castel in a hill, the treck to get there is easy but really nice and with stunning views ! Careful with the times to visit the Castle, on Google maps it was written until 5pm and it's actually 4pm, but it's with the guided tour.

We couldn't get in as it was closed but the sorrounding is quite spectacular, well preserved, also the view is so wide. Very nice walk from the parking lot, the forest is cute.

While the castle with the exposed place at the hill gives you a marvellous vista around, the visit and check for opening times might be quite adventerous. There are different information from the website and the on-site information about opening times; unfortunately it was closed when we arrived there. But due to the reforms currently undertaken I suppose that major parts would be closed anyway.

Carrer de Sant Josep, 9, 08302 Mataró, Barcelona, Spain
The Pont de les Peixateries Velles in Girona, also known as the Eiffel Bridge, is a distinctive footbridge over the Onyar River. It was constructed in 1877 by renowned French engineer Gustave Eiffel and his company using red iron-work lattice frames. The bridge is an important landmark of Catalan art and architecture gallery, Josep Bracons.
There's several bridges that can take you across the Onyar River between the old and new sides of Girona. Most of them are pretty standard, but this one is unique with its red lattice frame.
If you're crossing back and forth, you should at least make a point to take this footbridge at least once to check it out as well as views of the river.

Pont de les Peixateries Velles - A remarkable architectural wonder: the Eiffel Bridge in Girona, Spain with a great view at the colourful houses at the Riverside.
The Eiffel Bridge was constructed where four rivers meet. Girona has got eleven bridges!! The most famous is the one that was constructed by Gustave Eiffel - The Girona Steel Bridge (painted in Red) was built in 1876 by Gustav Eiffel, a French engineer with German roots.
Jens Jacobeit — Google review
A bridge designed by Eiffel, who designed the Eiffel Tower in France. It had a similar steel structure and was very unique in that it did not fit in with its surroundings. It is a must see if you go to Girona.
M Pak — Google review
I don't know why people say this is a beautiful place worth visiting! This is just a metal bridge (for pedestrians), nothing more than that. Even though it was made by the guy who built the Eiffel Tower in Paris; guess because of that.
Duarte Junior — Google review
A very instagramable bridge, probably 2nd most visited place in Girona, just after the cathedral.

Curious of this bridge that famous french engineer,Gustave Eiffel made here in Girona before Eiffel Tower was built in Paris. It was beautiful at night when we visited. The design and color really did make an interesting instagrammable effect. People can check it out when in Girona:-)

I don't think the bridge itself is so remarkable, as are its surroundings. The fact that Eiffel designed it makes it very popular. However the sightings from there are remarkable and I recommend its visit.

This museum tells the story of Judaism in Girona, Catalunya, through exhibits on religion and culture. There is also a gift shop where visitors can purchase items related to the Jewish community. The museum is proud of its Jewish heritage and does not shy away from less salubrious aspects of history such as Inquisition persecution and forced conversions.
Nearly all artifact explanations in three languages. Provided otherwise hard to find site based insight regarding the brief two centuries peace before the 1492-3 persecutions. Steep Geography of Surrounding neighborhoods compliment the depictions of daily 14th C living in exhibits.

An interesting museum to visit while in Girona. Use the audio guide to learn about the tragic history of the Jews in Girona and in Spain in general. The museum is laid out in different section so you can learn about the life of the Jewish community, traditions and ceremonies for many centuries ago.

I visited this Museo on 18/12/22. Weeks later I find myself still reflecting on it. I’ve been to similar museums but ultimately I found this one rather exceptional. It has great information and translations are in Castellano, Catalán, and English. I would allow for 45min to 1.5 hr for the visit. Additionally the very sweet and kind lady work the desk first thing in morning was delightful and professional. Make this a stop if your in Griona.

This was one of the museums I definitely wanted to visit while being in Girona. Extremely interesting, very well located and have 2 exhibitions: one temporary (which is free) and the permanent (2-4 euros/person). The temporary is not available in English, only the handbook, but the permanent can be followed in English. Walking through history, with the amazing audio guide I understood more about Jewish people and their culture and past. 10/10 recommend!

Girona Cathedral is a large, impressive building made of many different styles of architecture. It is one of the most famous and popular tourist destinations in the region. The cathedral has a wide Gothic nave that is larger than any other Gothic church in the world.
One of the most important cathedrals in Europe. a very interesting place that is worth the detour. Not to be missed, the carpet of creation. one of the most beautiful pieces of art you can see. Wonderful

Girona was originally on my plan, on my way to Barcelona to Marseille, I made a stop for lunch, and the quick lunch turned out to be a whole afternoon leisure. I stayed at the Cathedral of Girona for over 2.5 hours, appreciating its architecture wonder. It has the widest nave of 23 meters for any cathedral in the world. It also collected the tapestry of creation treasure, the 1000 year old tapestry was still having the brightest colors you could imagine, with the design and story behind the tapestry. It is truly a masterpiece collection! The cathedral was very quiet on a Monday afternoon, only less than a dozen people inside. I was a very pleasant surprise visit of the cathedral! 🙏🙏🙏Cheers!😃😃😃

This church in Girona is truly majestic and one of the main attractions for visitors. It is one of the best churches I have seen in Europe. The Cathedral of Girona is a thousand-year-old building famous for its historical significance and its appearances in film and television. The building is located at the highest point of the old city of Girona, known as the "Old Force," and is protected by a set of walls and ramparts. The Gothic nave, tower of Charlemagne, cloister, and sacristy remain from its Romanesque period in the mid-11th century.
Patrick Min — Google review
The ‘Catedral de Girona’ is one the most impressive architectural buildings in the whole region. The church lays imposing at the top of a beautiful, long staircase - the best spot for portrait pictures, of course. I recommend going early to avoid too much wait.
Flavio Pimentel — Google review
This Gothic Cathedral is certainly a sight to behold. Beyond its beauty, it is so rich in history, so be sure to pick up an audio guide on your way in. Entrance is 7 euros, which includes entrance to the basilica as well. The Cathedral has many beautiful and majestic pieces of tapestry draped over its walls, so take your time to enjoy that and the rest of the art displayed throughout the space. Definitely a must-visit during your stay in Girona.

WOW! This is the widest cathedral I have ever seen. It's the second widest in the world, after St. Peter's basilica in Vatican! Its dimensions hit you when you arrive in the square, it's enormously beautiful. The painted glass windows are exquisite, very well maintained. Take the audio guide, it's free and very informative.

Stunning cathedral, really glad I decided to go in! (versus only taking a photo of the famous steps) It's the tallest cathedral nave in Europe and has amazing stained glass. The audio guide is great and included with ticket entry. They also do student discount. Come in the afternoon to avoid the crowds, as the coach tours have gone home in the afternoon and there's several cafes still open in Girona at that time.

Visiting the Girona Cathedral is a must if you're in Girona. I visited other great churches and cathedrals throughout my travels, but for some reason, this one took my breath away as soon as I walked through the door. It must be the sound of the organ playing, mixed with the dark setting and the overwhelming size of the interior. It's hard to describe. You have to see it for yourself!
JF Piché — Google review
One of the most important cathedrals in Europe, it is simply impressive. Being a fan of Game of Thrones, I had to visit it. It was a great experience to see it laying at the top of a gorgeous, long staircase. This is definitely a must-see place in Girona! I would love to come back soon, probably not in Temps of Flors due to the amount of people.

Went to Girona in November 2023 for a University Trip, was absolutely gorgeous and so quiet even though it was a Thursday! 100% recommend if you want a holiday without all the noisy tourists, a lot of steep hills and walking so if you’re a bit older or have a few kids probably not great but if you don’t mind the walking it’s a lovely area, plenty of shops and cafes further back in the towny area, this was about a 15-25 min walk from the shops and stuff but that area wasn’t horrifically crowded, pretty average I would say, so overall a lovely area and perfect for travels ^^

The cathedral is the jewel in the crown, the old town is steeped in history with it's many narrow streets and tall buildings but sitting high above them all is the magnificently built Cathedral, the entrance ticket is 7.50 euros as of November 2023, and it is worth paying just from the visual aspect, but will the tickets price you get an electronic guide that you hold up to your ear, thankfully these ones work really well and easy to use and the information is clear and short and very well explained, so give it a big thumbs up

Better come early as the entrance closes pretty early as well. However still good to see from outside especially during sunset. Gorgeous view. Need a bit of walking as the streets were really narrow.
Girona's medieval walls are a fascinating remnant of the city's past, and offer walkers wonderful vantage points of the area. There are several entrances to the walled park, including an alley east of Girona Cathedral that leads into lush greenery. Nearby, you can climb up a spiral staircase inside Torre Gironella for an excellent lookout.
Las Muralles de Girona is a huge, beautiful place - definitely one of the highlights of the city. The inner gardens are very pleasant, specially to rest a bit during a hot summer day. I really recommend taking the whole waking route to get the best impression of the place.

A long wall connected to Girona Cathedral. It was a place where their efforts to protect the castle by shooting arrows could be seen. Once you set foot, it's too far to turn back. You arrive on the other side. However, it is worth it because the view is so beautiful. I recommend you go up there.

Massive old walls that's a must-visit. You can walk on the ground alongside the wall to appreciate its size, then climb the stairs up the wall on either side then walk atop the wall from one end to the other, taking in the views of Girona as you go by. You'll most likely pass by others along the wall which isn't a problem, and there's some areas including towers you can stop by along the way.

Girona offers a plethora of activities, but some of the most cherished experiences include savoring wine while basking in the sun, taking in the picturesque views from the unique bridges that span the Onyar River, and indulging in delectable tapas. Consider renting a car to explore the charming nearby towns and Costa Brava coastline.
The 'must-see' point of any trip to Girona, this picturesque raw of houses by the canal, with their intense colors, will remind you of other sites in Europe, like Bruges or Venice.
Despite, sorry to say, that the majority are much debilitated and hence inhabitable, they still they offer a wonderful scenery that changes according to the light.

Very enjoyable walk with many beauty spots where you can sit and enjoy the views - the beach, the sun glistening on the surface of the sea water or the calming green of the trees against the blue sky and sea!!!
Statues, fountains and beautiful staircases cascading down the terraces, big trees along the alleys guide your eyes in different directions as well as providing shade and comfort on a hot day.

Definitely must see spot in Lloret De Mar!
What a great views and place to rest and switch off. Everything is inspired by Italian gardens, which is great to see in Spain. Newest spin off of Game of Thrones been recorded there, so be for look out if you can recall some scenes.

A beautiful Mediterranean garden located right on the cliff of Lloret de Mar. The location is a bit hard to get by foot especially when it’s over 35 degrees; you’ll arrive drenched🥲 The entrance fee is rather reasonable of only 6€. There is a really useful map that is given that will guide you throughout the garden. The views of the beach with the mountains are just immaculate. A beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the see. I recommend going during the golden hour at about 18h40-19h during the summer to truly see the glow of the area. Don’t miss out on visiting this spot when in the beach town.

Famous botanic garden of Lloret de Mar, with great views and perfectly maintained flora. Entrance is very cheap compared to many other attractions, you can easily go here with children because even in botanic garden they can find something interesting - trees with oranges!

An excellent botanical garden located in Lloret de Mar. Admission is 6€ for adults and 3€ for children. It's not a very big place. but it is green and has a sea view. It is very nice to watch the sea through various plants and trees. There are many beautiful spots to take pictures. Definitely a place to visit for the view.

Not even close to the beauty of the Jardí Botànic Marimurtra in Blanes. If you have a time and opportunity, i would strongly recommend to visit Jardí Botànic Marimurtra instead.
We liked: fresh air, fountain, the view.
We didn't like: area size, too little variation of plants/trees, entire park looks the same, no cafe.

No shops or drinks stalls on site and only one toilet so not ideal for people with diabetes like my partner. Also why no access to the beach from here? Some lovely gardens though

Beautiful, albeit small garden. Very neat, trimmed - you can see the hand of a man. There are plenty of places to sit and take in the views, including a beautiful cove. Entrance 6 euros. Free parking a street away from the garden

lovely place lots of good views polite staff, a few gardener around, lovely views good price very nice place must go if you are in lloret, lots of benches and resting places once you get past the initial entrance walk, lots of water fountains to drink from and very clean and pleasant. Not allowed food in, but it takes only around 45 minutes to get around the whole place so as long as you have food before you shouldn't get hungry. Interesting place.

A must visit for everyone who goes to Lloret. Amazing scenery all round, views of the beach are breathtaking and the gardens are beyond beautiful. €6 entry for adults, but definitely value for money. Bus stops about 3minute walk from gardens.

Playa de Fenals is a city beach situated in the quiet and serene district of Lloret de Mar. It boasts of coarse white sand, crystal-clear water, lifeguards, toilets, lockers, and a range of water sports facilities for both kids and adults. The beach offers an array of water entertainment options such as boat trips, kayaking among others. Xaloc restaurant situated within the vicinity offers excellent culinary experiences to visitors.
The very best beach on Costa Brava. Really, if you ever wanted to go to Lloret de Mar, don't go to the city center, choose Fenals district as it's more silent, with very good Xaloc restaurant, clean beach and nice walking routes.

Nothing special. The best at this location is the rock formations on the right side of the beach, especially in summer late evening. Unfortunately too many R U PPL. I felt uncomfortable (little stalingrad). I will not back because of this.

In my opinion it's better than the main beach in Loretta de mar. It seems a bit classier and not as commercial. There are a few bars and restaurants if required. The entrance to the sea is steep at the south end and shallow at the north.

very nice but 7am in the morning you recognize the main objective of this small spot, party party fiesta 🤣 full of the leftovers from last nigt, outside the beach you smell urine allover. But it is beautiful, just the sand isn’t that fine as I am used to it. deserves almost five points as per beauty and view.

This is one of the most beautiful beach that I have seen! But if you have the luck to be there in and windy day it is not so enjoyable! Clean beach and crystal water. You even have the possibility to take a boat trip or rent a kayak or a lot of other water entertainment for both kids and parents!

Beautiful beach very clean would imagine very busy in peak season but wouldn't put me off as the waters are so clear . You can either relax or do parasending pedalos bannana boat or even day trips to other resorts from here so again plenty to do or just chill and enjoy your surroundings
Sant Martí d'Empúries, situated near the ancient ruins of Empúries, was once the county seat until it was relocated in 1079 for better protection. This medieval village is part of L'Escala and is a popular tourist destination during the summer months. Visitors can explore its historic walls and the nearby archaeological site of Empúries.
Platja de Lloret de Mar is a beautiful and popular beach with a large bay. The sandy shore can be busy, and the water has surprisingly large waves that deepen quickly. There's a steep drop-off from the beach to the sea, making it less suitable for small children. However, there are calmer areas near Castel d'en Plaja and in the evenings.
It's a very nice beach with lots of entertainment, bars and restaurants. Very clean water, but watch your kids when it is wavy. It's deep in a couple of metres.

La playa de Lloret donde puedes contemplar un precioso amanecer rodeado de gente meando, vomitando y tirando todo tipo de basura al agua.

Totalmente recomendable coger el coche e irse a donde sea que seguro que está más limpio.

Came here for the day, stayed in one little area! I really like this beach the sea is quite clear, the sand is quite rough and hard to walk on but it’s ok, there’s plenty to do, drinks and food nearby an aqua course, pedal boats, toilets and showering facilities nearby. the sun beds are €8 each and extra for umbrellas and has lovely views of the area. It’s relatively busy but not overly crowded. I would come back to this beach i’ve had a great day!

Decent beech, if not a little busy. I could not walk on the sand barefoot (VERY, very small pebbles), the beech has surprisingly large waves and the water gets deep quickly. There is a steep drop-off from beech to sea which, whilst good for landing small pleasure boats, is not good for small children. I (adult) was almost knocked off my feet by waves whilst walking along the shoreline. Up towards Castel d'en Plaja (rocky area), plus (generally) in the evenings, the drop-off/wave size was not as bad.

Traveled here on the local bus from Tossa Dr Mar.
Having got off at the main bus station it was not far to walk to the beach and along the cliff top path to climb up the rocky headline or further if you wish to.
Nice sandy edge inlet swimming shallows.
Well worth a day trip and worth the bus price.
Check before returning as I thought I bought a return ticket but was informed otherwise at the ticket office bus station when I enquired about this.
Nice scenic stroll along the promenade beach front and returned back to the bus station down the back streets.

Nice place to visit, excellent food, lots of bars and clubs people are very welcoming the food pictures are from the best restaurant by far la tagliatellia located on the far end of the beach close to the castle.
Excavated ancient city overlooking the sea with a wharf, forum and thorough archaeological museum.
This is an incredible place with both green and Roman runs. The history is shared through the audio guide and makes you feel like you are entering the time of the Greeks. The mosaics in the Roman city are not to be missed.

Brilliant Find overall. A bit tricky to find using GPS Or Google. Used road markings to reach the place.
Great spot, next to sea beach. Many people went to sea beach as well using the same parking as the site. 2 big parking available.
The site entry is 5 euros or so. Kids free. Free voice headsets. The explanations (voice guidance) is available in many languages. If you really want to know and learn and hear each set of voice message it will take you an hour or so just for greek part them similar for Roman part. A bit hard to do when it is too sunny as there is no shade once you enter the main site. One ice cream van at the entry ( inside).
Overall great place for history lovers.

We paid 7 euros, and it was definitely the best 7 euros spent in a long time! Fascinating site still undergoing excavation. There are plenty of details around the Greek site, but not as much on the Roman site. You could easily spend a day there. Take plenty of water and sunscreen as you will be outside with little shade for the majority of the time. The indoor exhibition was closed for refurbishment on our visit, but they had put some of the better finds in a small room below.

If you like to be in the ruins of an old city under a ruthless sun this is your place: you have the ruins of the greek city and the ruins of the roman city. It's a unique combo. The good news is that a Splash in the sea is 3 minutes away... The museum at the moment is 90% close due to work in progress. The only room left open has some nice remains, also from neolithic age.

The walk to the castle is doable for most people. It is sometimes steep, but not too far so perfect as a small activity in the morning (when it is not too hot yet). Reachable via bus, car or bike. The parking lots are rather big and offer support in terms of toilet and water (think it wasn't marked wether it potable or not so at least in the summer bring some for the hike...)

The Platja Gran beach is a wonderful place to spend a day swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. It's very clean and the water is crystal clear, making it easy to see the offshore reefs. There are plenty of food outlets nearby for anyone looking for a quick snack or meal, and there are also plenty of shady spots to relax in the sun. The beach is pebble-based so be prepared to bring some sandals if you want to stay on it all day.
What a beautiful place. Yes it's touristy but if you go out of season like the end of June, it's not too busy and it has lots of Spanish tourists. The weather isn't too hot, the people are super nice and the beaches are lovely. There is a waterpark in Llorret de Mar for a day out with the kids and loads of nice restaurants by the beach in Tossa de Mar. Anyway.... beautiful place!!!!

Nice beach, nice views. It is small so can become crowded at times. I do wish the local government made the cruise boats board somwhere else so that they don't ruin the atmosphere of the beach overlooked by the beautiful old lookouts and lighthouse. But as cons beach clean up wouldn’t hurt this place since it’s frustrating to see some litter on rocky slopes and at the sea bottom right near shore. Seems rain water washes off garbage from town which suggests town can’t keep up with high season tourists flow to properly manage waste.

Castillo de Tossa de Mar is a large and well-preserved castle with extensive fortification walls, numerous towers, and a courtyard. The town of Tossa de Mar is located on the Costa Brava in Catalonia, between rocky outcrops and tree-studded hills, blending the modern comforts of resorts with an authentically old-world local charm.
One of my favorite places in Catalonia. This sea city features everything you need for a fun and relaxing weekend. Beaches are clean and spacious with Tiki bars, and restaurants all around the town. The views are absolutely amazing no matter where you go. Going up hill is a fantastic experience whether by train or on foot. Every step you take has a view. Although there are few ruins left of the ancient fortress, you still can appreciate the walls and towers which surround it. There's a nice little restaurant half way up the top of the hill, and another one where the light house stands at. There's also a cute museum with nice little things found in the area. Don't miss taking a picture with Ava Gardner's sculpture and the little chapel behind it and on the way back you can follow a different path with stone covered streets which lead to all the traditional restaurants and shops and don't forget to wear comfortable shoes to climb up the stairs along the walls.

Tossa de Mar has no direct train from Barcelona, you have to go to Gerona or Calella and travel onwards from there.
Parts of the old town date back to the 1600's with what I would describe as 'typical' Spanish architecture. The basement of the museum in the castle dates back to Roman times where there was a villa. As can be seen from the pictures there is the original mosaic.
There are beautiful views across the bay from the top of the castle and is worth the walk.

One of the best beaches i have ever been to. If you're a tourist and wants to visit beach in Spain then i would recommend to visit Costa Brava Region. This is a beautiful pebble beach. Tossa de mar is one of the cities to visit them. There are 2-3 beaches, small and big. There is a castle on the beach side so you can see Sea from some height. There isn't any fee to enter the castle. There are direct Buses to Tossa de mar from Barcelona, operated by Moventis, I don't know about the prices, but it should be around 10-15 Euros. If you want to travel from Girona, then you have to take bus till Lloret de mar (One way price 6,05, takes 1 hour) and then lloret de mar to Tossa de mar (takes 25-30 minutes, one way price 2.4 Euros). You can also visit beautiful streets of Tossa de mar.

Having strolled through the city, going to the old castle throws you back in time. You can almost see the large sailing ships, hear the cannons roar and see the soldiers manning the tower and fortress.
Looking down to the ocean from the castle is amazing. You can actually see the fish and rocks going disappearing in the depths of the ocean.
On top of it all - quite literally - there is a small cafe with the most amazing views. Almost 360 degrees unhindered view of the Mediterranean.
Enjoy your drink!

So beautiful to walk around. Old castle vibes and great views of the sea from its walls - it seemed like a movie. Visit it if you are in Tossa de Mar. 👌

This ancient fortress wall, perched high on the cliffs overlooking the picturesque town of Tossa de Mar, carries an aura of history and charm. As I walk along the well-preserved stone pathways, I am transported back in time, imagining the lives of those who once defended this coastal stronghold. The commanding views of the deep blue Mediterranean Sea and the rugged coastline are simply awe-inspiring. The blend of medieval architecture, narrow winding streets, and colorful houses make Tossa de Mar a true gem on the Costa Brava. The Muralles de Tossa de Mar not only offer a glimpse into the past but also provide a stunning vantage point to admire the beauty of the present. Exploring these ancient walls is a journey through time that ignites my imagination and deepens my appreciation for the rich history and natural splendor of this enchanting town.

Beautifully preserved gem of a resort on the Costa Brava in Catalonia. With Fantastic views of the sweeping beach from high on the castle walls, Tossa de Mar has kept it’s authenticity by respecting it’s history and providing a safe, welcoming resort for travellers of all ages.

Nice village to spend quiet time next to the chill sea..
I would say that it is the best for elders and couples with kids.
Great views, old streets, plenty of restaurants... The old town is very cozy as well.

A wonderful and beautiful place with history and culture! A beautiful view of the city and the bay, not to be missed. It is worth going early in the morning or in the evening to watch the sunset. The city's showcase.

Lovely place for a walk. We arrived on one of the boat trips and had 4 hours to spend here. It was the perfect amount of time for a walk around and a bite to eat on the sea front.

Went on the Dofi Jet Boat to Tossa de Mar. Lovely town with excellent shopping for tourists and “normal” people. Good beach for snorkelling. Brilliant number of places to eat, mostly good prices. Always a good day out.

The castle was nothing special. Boring. I mean I can toss a coin anywhere in the world and find something more interesting. Don't take the train, as it is even worse of a waste of money, unless you have mobility issues.

Took a trip to Tossa when we did the glass bottom boat experience on holiday and it seemed like u could just walk right in and around this site. It was beautiful! Well worth the visit. I'd love to come back to Tossa again.

Nice place to explore. Needs more signs in English. Some shops and restaurants. A lot of climbing, freaked my wife out as she doesn't like slopes. Could have spent more time but she was beat.

Took the boat from Lloret de Mar and landed on the beach to the beautiful views of Tossa de Mar. It was hot, but the hike to the top was well worth the walk. Exploring the quaint roads around was great.

It’s a very nice little town. The view is amazing but not as good as Blanes and Sitges in comparison. No harm to visit but if time is limited, highly recommended Sitges💓

This is a very well protected wall which was used to protect the citadel for Tossa de Mar. You can walk all along this wall but not climb up the towers which are blocked. This is a good point to get a nice view of the city and the sea.

Lovely, quiet seaside resort, not far from Lloret de Mar. Nice bay and beach, castle and lighthouse to visit. We only went for the day but a lovely place to visit.
