Hiking area
Forest hiking trail through a circuit of 7 natural pools, with waterfalls & swimming spots.
We enjoyed the hiking of seven waterfalls trail on Sunday, 27/03. It took us 4 hours to finish the whole trail, including the picnic lunch time, with 2 boys, 5 & 8 years old.
Entrance fee was €5 per adult, free for kids, and also free parking.
We love the trail and water was clear during our visit. And the trail is very well signed.
BTW, there is a zipline park (Estiula Aventura) just nearby the trail ticket booth, and our kids loved the zipline after the hiking.

Absolutely gorgeous hike. The drive to the set gorgs is very scenic and puts you in the mood. When you get there, you will be helped to your parking spot by a guard. You can book the entry ticket online or pay there. Parking was 10€ for the day. Fight the urge to swim at the first waterfall, you will have ample opportunity at the other ones which are more accessible or bigger even. If you go on regular hikes you will find this track easy, if you are just starting out, take your time - it is definitely doable. At the top you have food and drinks and can hang out on a big green space. The walk back is all downhill and will go very fast! Unfortunately there were no public toilets along the hike at all. We found some at the zip lining adventure area though after we finished the walk.

Fantastic route! Is better to go when is not too hot! In spring I think!
Anca Rotaru — Google review
Maybe because I went on Easter break, but that place was full of people that wanted to go out in nature, I wouldn't consider it a real trek since even parents with strollers can access the path.
The parking was full, and they made us wait until someone was leaving. They charge 10 euros flat fee for parking, on top of the 6 / person eco tax, that everybody must pay. If you park other than in their overpriced parkings, the fine is 1500 euros!!!
If you want to avoid the parking scam, you can park in the industrial area 2 km away from the main parking/ entrance, and it is free, but you have to walk a little.
At the end of the path, you have another overpriced stand that sells all sorts of food, drinks, and 🍦.
Enjoy! 😉

It was my first Hiking experience. An easy trail. Not very dificult. We spend quite a lot of time because we wanted to bath in all of the gorgs. If you just want to Hike and not bath. You can finish the trail in around 3 hours max.
Definately recommend to new hikers as a summer trail. People told me that in winter it can get quite chilly and the waterfall are frozen so it's quite a difirent experience.

I went the day after a lot of rain and the water looked brown. Overall, was a good hike but not amazing
Kent Wang — Google review
Really beautiful walk in the forest and the picnic area by the parking was amazing.
But the gorgs are small and super crowded, and dogs are allowed in the water. The parking is €10 (and the lady is SO rude).

Spectacular gorge full of waterfalls of all types: cascades, slides, chutes and near-vertical cataracts. The big one right at the beginning of the river is especially beautiful. Highly recommended
Gleb Berloff — Google review
Lovely place right in the middle of nature, perched up in the mountains near the old little village of Castellar de n'Hug. We parked right at the bottom by the cafè and gift shop. Parking is free. We then walked up to the village. Plenty of steps and great views, including the famous waterfalls that make up the source of the River Llobregat that supplies water to far away Barcelona, some 100 km away. Traditional stone houses, plenty of shops to buy local produce such as sausages and cheese, a cement museum (the area is full of abandoned mines, quarries and textile factories) plus a historic train that takes you to the museum and back. Great day out!

Very beautiful place

Spectacular gorge with many small and big waterfalls, all together forming beggining of Llobregad river. Water comes with great force even in hot summer day and is ice cold. Walk up/down Castellar is nice too.

Tree-lined runs, board park & cross-country skiing at a winter resort with an ice rink & ballooning.
An experience that I would recommend to everyone, super large slopes for both beginners and more experienced people, I would definitely repeat the experience

Stunning ski station with best snow conditions and great slopes in the Girona Pyrenees. You can enjoy snowing during day and night with great atmosphere apres ski. If your hunger for ski is big, go for the ALP 2500 forfait combining Masella + La Molina ski stations having more than 100km available ski distance. Make sure to have a break at highest point (Tossa d'Alp, Refugi Niu de l'Aliga) at above 2500m+. Hope you enjoy your ski day at the Pyrenees!
Carlos Ruiz Martínez — Google review
Great place for skimo. Worth it to enjoy the sunset from the top of Tossa d'Alp.

Enough places to rent material, fast queues to get the forfeit, decent fast food options (I didn't try the main restaurant as it was almost full the day before Christmas).
There are a couple of really easy tracks for newer people to learn or warm-up. There's an easy-medium long wide track that you can enjoy, either going alone or with a big group as people is usually respectful and gives you space to not bother you.
Talking about harder tracks, they are beautiful. I really enjoyed them. I went alone fast and nonstopping till the end, and also with a small group of newer skiers, stopping during the tracks so they could catch a breath, and they were great. You could enjoy the faster sections, the turns, the stop-enjoy-the-view-and-go places.
For the most professional skiers, I would recommend a couple of days to enjoy the station overall and the views. For the newcomers to skiing and snowboarding, this is a great station to start and get to an intermediate-high level while enjoying the progress. 10/10 I've been recommending it for 10 years already.

Great base for 10km hike up Tosa d'Alp.
9.58km with 935m of ascent.
Tough and challenging day with weather and terrain but great opportunity to experience extreme conditions in environment you would not necessarily attempt on an isolated summit.
Enjoy refreshments at man bars after hike but take car on icey car park at end of day.

I recommend it. You have different skiing routes to follow up. Nice restaurants. But on week ends it can be overcrowded.

Vall de Núria is a stunning glacial valley nestled in the Pyrenees, offering year-round activities such as skiing, hiking, and lake recreation. Accessible via a scenic cog train ride from Ribes de Freser or Queralbs, the journey to the top treats visitors to breathtaking mountain vistas. At the summit awaits a picturesque lake and the sanctuary of the Virgin of Nuria.
Beautiful place. We took the R3 train from Barcelona and then the rack railway from Ribes de Freser. We bought the trenatura tickets. that includ also the funicular. Cost us 37.25€

Amazing place, great view on lake and adorable view from the top mountain (we took funicular)
Alina Pilch — Google review
Fantastic place to spend a day or a week! I went there in March (low season-almost no tourists) it was incredible!
I traveled by train from Barcelona Sants to Ribes de Freser (~2,5 hours) and stayed there, I took a train up to the valley next day(also there’s a stop right at the train station or in the center of Ribes). The train goes every two hours but for timetable and price check their website, they update it so it’s accurate:) once in the valley you can take a cable car even higher! (Already included in the ticket price). There’s loads of hotels available around and even in Nuria, which is great if you spending days hiking, there’s loads of trails! 😍 In winter time there’s a rental place for skiers and snowboarders.
Also in the church building they have a restaurant (which is closed during lunchtime lol), and bars where you can get some snacks. There’s also a place in the ground floor where you can have a picnic and eat your food that you brought with you.
Overall, it was a really nice experience, can’t wait to go back during summer 🥰

It is a ski resort, but you can also go hiking. It is accessed by a rack railway. It is advisable to get to the town Ribes de Fresser by car and then go to the station where the train leaves, which costs around 32 euros round trip with cable car included. The views are beautiful, however I recommend if you want to go through the snow, check the web cameras on the internet to find out what the weather is like. Upstairs there is a hotel, restaurant, and a small museum on the ski slope. The prices are good for the place. It is 1:35 from Gerona city by car, but be careful as there are many speed cameras

Lovely place. Family/ date/ adventure with friends/ friendly for Val de Nuria.
I went there 3 weeks aho with a friend. we went to Val de Nuria and hiked Mt. Puigmal. Views were amazing. Hike wasn't that bad at all. Very doable even for beginner. A bit steep for beginner but still doable.
Transpo time is a bit limited. you have to catch the train back or you need to sleep at Val de Nuria. you can bring a car, but you need to parc it and take the train to Val de Nuria. I guess there are other options but this is what I know.

The only negative experience of this place worth highlighting is when purchasing the tickets in Ribes de Freser, where a rack employee, we were four adults, rushed us to quickly ask for the tickets with the excuse that there was a long "queue", when it only takes us a minute to decide the drop-off time, because it must be stated on the ticket. An "edge" with a total lack of respect for customers who have no fault that the ticket acquisition window was closed, and they could only be purchased automatically with the "collaboration" of the aforementioned "edge". Quite an "example" of "kindness" before spending €32 per passenger on an experience that, although nice, is quite expensive.

Subí aquí desde Queralbs a principio de Nociembre. Pensaba q estaría algo abierto para una café pero nada. Solo algún q otro trabajador l.

From Queralbs you can go up the rack railway (only on weekends in the low season) or walking on a route that is steep at the moment but super cominanlw. A slope of approximately 900 meters. It took almost two hours. The place is spectacular.

Good place to spend the day with the family. I recommend taking food for a picnic. The price of the rack railway is ABUSIVE, outrageous, very expensive, and it also includes the price of the cable car, which you can save on. The surroundings are very beautiful and the zipper is an experience to share, but I repeat the price, very expensive… €32 per adult

I'll never travel to Toulouse without this trip planner again
If you come to andorra, this amizement park is a “must”. Better in summer than autumn Or winter
Horatiu Moldovan — Google review
If you could buy a ticket just for the Tobotronc this would be a 5 star review, but unfortunately you have to pay full price for all the other activities, which are designed for children and not attractive to adults at all.
The forest zip line through the woods looks like fun but that is an additional fee on top of the €40 you have spent already (only opens at 12pm).
Clearly management don’t pay attention to any of the negative reviews as the park is still neglected and baldy maintained.
C Oshiel — Google review
Not coming again here. This park is underdeveloped, maybe good for children under 6. Not how it is meant to be. Apart from the natural view nothing worth mentioning here. Not recommended even if you have nothing to do with your time don’t come here.
Trionex — Google review
A good place for outdoor activities, but only from the age of 7. We arrived with a child of 4 years old and for him there was 1 mini route + 1 tirulina and a mini electric pedal. We spent 40 minutes and went to Cota2000. There we walked around the farm and rode a pony. I would prefer more active games for toddlers.
There was also a moment that we did not know that to accompany a child in the Park, you do not need to buy a ticket for an adult!
It's good that we got the money back for 2 adult tickets (not at the cashbox directly, but by email).

Nice place especially for younger kids up to 12.
Hannes Porst — Google review
A Group of 7 of us brought tickets for the Tobotronc + Burger Menu (40 Euros). All we asked for was a clean run from top to bottom (5km long) . The on duty staff were really accommodating and understood the assignment. They let a group go in front of us, and held us back for 5 mins while a gap was made because The Lady in front of us set of so slowly and would not let go of the brakes even on straight Flat sections.
We asked the staff at the top of the run, if we catch up with anyone, would it be possible to have another go. To which they responded, if your run is spoiled for the majority of the track you can claim a free run.
So after 5 mins we set off and caught the lady within 1km of the 5km stretch. After 2km the entire group as well as a few people from a second group had also caught up. At one point we where stationary for 20/30 seconds to try and get some gap to the lady. This also nearly caused a huge accident but nothing we could really avoid. The final 3km passed extremely slowly and painfully.
Now I am all for people being nervous and scared and needing to take their time with such activities so my frustration is not towards them.
When we got to the bottom, we asked if we could go again due to our run being completely ruined by slow moving kart in front. To which the staff agreed and would consult the management.
Few minutes later, management came back to us and responded with - we have used up our only ticket and that we would not be allowed back on unless we paid another 40 euros.
Absolutely shambolic management behaviour.
The place is fantastic, run by great staff but unfortunately management are clueless about customer enjoyment.
Regarding the Food, the burger and chips were good. We did ask for one burger to be fully cooked as my partner is pregnant. However it turned out to be raw in the middle. They where happy to recook, but still wasn’t fully cooked when returned.
Such a shame for such a promising place.
Callum Henn — Google review
Great idea and a great location but: horrible execution, over-crowded (granted it was in August, the peak season) and way over priced.
This is how the experience felt: You unload a bucket-full of euros for the privilege of endless waiting in line. Even the wait at the self-service cafeteria was over 30 minutes for a very expensive and awful meal. Never mind the rides! The waiting times are just ridiculous.
Really, it's a shame. The place's got plenty of potential. But the way it's run/ managed is just mad chaos, which results in a disappointing experience at best.
In summary: save your money and your time unless you fancy paying for waiting in line. And if you must go, then do go off-season: maybe then you may enjoy it.
Jorge Alberch — Google review
Had an amazing time on the Tobotronc Mountain coaster! To our surprise, the burger they force you to buy with your ticket is also really good!

For students and families, this is a must visit! We had taken an unlimited pass for 35€, which gives full access. The staff is very helpful and nice, and take all safety and health protection; the place is pet-friendly as well.
The Tobo Tronc and the Snowshoe (Raqueta) walk has to be done - it's too good.
However, it is recommended to drive a car there, as no public transport is available.
Shourya Sarkar — Google review
Party of five (3 kids 16, 11, and 6). Entrance fee for the five of us was 110 Euro. The park itself is actually OK and would have gotten away with 3 stars but the complete lack of maintenance (see the mini golf pic) and the helpless staff leave no choice to drop to 2 stars. Waiting times are very long for the good attractions (result of untrained staff). The highlight of the park is a summer bob slide (on rails) which is amazing. I think you can buy a ticket just for that and that would be my recommendation.

Review:
Naturlandia in Andorra is a captivating destination that celebrates nature's beauty. The diverse range of activities and breathtaking landscapes made for an enjoyable visit. While some areas could be improved, overall it deserves a solid four-star rating. The Tobotronc ride and animal park were highlights, offering thrilling experiences and opportunities to observe wildlife up close. The well-maintained nature trails allowed for peaceful exploration. However, clearer signage and reduced waiting times would enhance the experience. Naturlandia's commitment to conservation and friendly staff were commendable. It's a remarkable destination that captures Andorra's natural wonders.

If I had to come there for free next time, I wouldn't come. It's such a waste of time.
We came on Sunday of October, only one person was working to sell you the tickets (regardless the fact that we have bought our tickets online you still had to wait in the same line to get a wristband) We had "Adventure" very few activities that can be done, some equipment was broken, very slow staf. 1h in line to get to the famous tobotronk to enjoy a 5-minute ride( the ride was fun, but that was the only positive thing in the whole park!)
We regret coming.

Carretera de la Rabassa Km. 8 Juberri, AD600 Sant Julià de Lòria, Andorra
Large zoological park housing local species, including bears & deer, in ample enclosures.
A great place to visit. The terrain is uneven so not suitable for pushchair/wheelchair or anyone unsteady on their feet. We saw all of the different animals and loved the yellow route around the park. There are no toilets during the walk so make sure you go before you start! I had trainers on but wished I hady hiking shoes as some areas are quite steep. My main criticism is there was no soap in the ladies toilet!

An excellent outing, this park offers a long and a short walk, and I would absolutely recommend the long one. You see animals in their natural habitat while also enjoying beautiful views and beautiful nature.
This is a great outing with kids as well, as they will definitely see some animals standing on rocks etc. They'll have to search for them a bit which only adds to the fun!

This zoo is like they just digging out a path for visitors to walk through these Pyrenean animals natural habitation. This is why it's not stroller friendly. We were with 1 baby and 1 preschooler.

Lovely “zoo” on a beautiful hiking trail. The animals looked well cared for and happy. The only thing was that the wolves and the lynx were hiding when we passed by…next time!
Leah Ganse — Google review
This is still a zoo!
Although sometimes offering larger enclosures to animals, safari parks are still zoos with the same issues and animal welfare problems. They still keep animals captive against their will. They still swap animals with other zoos. And it turns out they still force animals to live in restricted space.
In keeping animals captive, there is always a price to be paid... and sadly it is the animals who pay.
Wild animals should be wild, free to experience all the complexities of their own lives. An individual living in the wild would be free to roam, in some animals cases they can travel for thousands of miles. They would be free to raise a family, forage, play, eat their natural foods and find a mate. They can go where they choose to when they want to.
When they are kept captive in safari parks, even though they may have a bit more space, all of this is denied to them.
Animals should not spend their entire lives in captivity simply to fulfil our desire to see them.
MASHA MIA DOBUYUAR — Google review
Nice animal park where you can do the long walking path in 2hours with a small child. The people at the entrance were not very friendly, we couldn’t open the door (and didn’t want to force it further) and thought the entrance was somewhere else and started walking around the building to find it. None of the personnel bothered to come out and show us that the door was a bit hard to open.

Great experience I love how animals are scattered around the woods, you get to see very nice animals from wolves to bears, one quick point: prams are not allowed so bring a backpack to take your little one on the back if you want to avoid breaking your back
Really really happy with Ski Pas 83’s service. We hired our ski gear here and rented a storage space for €20 for a week. Got a free drink voucher at the end of the day for the bar which was also really nice. All the staff was so friendly and they make you feel so at home. The bar that is connected to the ski shop is just as amazing, the staff there were also really nice. We wanted to try different bars after a ski day but kept going back because of how friendly the staff were. Felt like we made some good friends over the week we were there. Sad to have the ski week done but also sad to not have those daily interactions with the staff anymore. I highly recommend this place to anyone

Edward and his team are brilliant. They spent time ensuring we had the right equipment for the whole group. 2 people in our group went back during the week to get a bigger boot size which was not a problem. Another swapped his snowboard for skiis. They were always very facilitating and understanding. I will definitely come back here!

First time in Andorra so we searched in best reviewed ski rental and Pas83 came up. We struggled to find the place at first as it is located facing the slopes (absolutely brilliant location once you find it as you can ski straight down the slope from the outside of the shop). When trying to find the shop a gentleman behind us asked if we were okay, to our surprise Pas83 was his shop. Although the shop had closed by the time we got there, the gentleman kindly opened up the shop for us and helped us to select skis, boots and helmets!! We were very grateful and just shows the level of customer service here. Very friendly and helpful, even helping us to purchase our ski passes and recommend places to visit. Amazing food upstairs and it’s definitely worth getting locker hire here. So much more convenient and you ski boots come back dry which makes a big difference to comfort. You get drinks tokens so if you like a drink after skiing first drink each day is free.
Edd is a proper legend too. He interacts with hundreds of people a day and not only does he chat to people like he has known them for years, he has a super computer brain for remembering everyone on first name terms whatever their language is.
It’s quick and efficient too and you can ski out from the door. I’ll be emailing Crystal to let them know how impressed we were. Locker hire and lunch here should be a staple in Pas de la Casa.

First time ever in Andorra and it was absolutely fantastic!! Not one negative, everything was a positive🤙 got my snowboard, Boots ect from ski pas 83.
The minute I walked into the shop the staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. One stop shop and not to mention you get a free drink voucher once you have finished🤙
I will be back again pretty soon for sure.
Definitely a solid 10/10

We used Ski Pas 83 and could not fault them . Their customer service before , during and after was amazing , Edward and his team went above and beyond to help us after the airline lost our luggage & our friend had an accident .
The quality of the equipment was good and location is ideal right by the slope , would definitely recommend and use again .
Many thanks again guys !

Took me a while to find the place, because the entry is from the slope side, not from the Vaquer square, but once there, all went well. Location is actually perfect, you can ski right off outside the shop. Great offer for the kids’ gear till 10 years old. Nicely decorated, very friendly staff and overall pleasant experience. Good variety of equipment, hopefully the web will be updated next year ;-)

Edward and his team are brilliant. All aspects of hire, repair and sevicing offered. If you use their ski locker service, dried over night, you also get a free daily drinks voucher for use in their bar restaurant. 100% recommend.

One of the worst places to rent ski, the place is a dirty hole with old and damage equipment.
Is super cheap but you receive a terrible equipment. The store personal is super nice and helpful.

Ski locker service is worth taking, no complaints with the gear and the staff are super friendly and helpful.
Gives off good vibes, not your regular ski shop for sure 😌

Plaça dels Vaquers, 13, AD200 Pas de la Casa, Andorra
Lac des Bouillouses, located at an altitude of 2,000 meters in the Pyrenees, is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and hikers. Accessible by bus and chairlift during peak seasons, it offers a range of hiking trails suitable for all ages. The area is known for its diverse flora and fauna, making it a designated natural site. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks around the lake, encountering picturesque coves and mountain springs along the way.
An excellent place for relaxation and hiking. There are multiple walkways and trails that you can use, many of which are suitable for all ages. The lake is very beautiful, and the longer you walk around the lake, the more beautiful coves dotted with mountain springs and small islands on the lake, which are truly something special, will start to appear. Don't be surprised if you come across cows or goats because there are a lot of them there (as well as their by-products) :)

Great for a picnic or visit the local restaurants. Hiking options are plentiful. Or if it’s just to hot elsewhere, then you can find comfortable temperatures here.
Oficines Vallnord is a year-round mountain resort that offers an array of activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and biking. The resort boasts different types of slopes catering to varying skill levels for skiing and snowboarding. The trails are exceptional, with the shapers working tirelessly to make them even better. Additionally, they offer great food at their restaurants but be careful as they tend to fill your drinks up so much that it spills over your pizza!
Awesome trails, shapers are working hard to make this place even better. Bike broke down but still good memories 👌👏

Good ski resort, BUT organization is not proper, as 17:00 all is closes very quick and if you have bought a lesson with the instructor from 16 till 17, then you will not have a chance to leave your ski for the next day in the locker room as it closes very very strictly 17:00...
Oleksii Levit — Google review
I went here with the school for a week and I had the best time ever I had cony (don't know if I spelt name right) as my instructor she was so nice she just had a laugh with us I miss her all ready and it was 2 days ago. Thanks for the good time.
The food there was good but they fill your drink up so much it split on my pizza 😫
Also when you go down the stairs to get to the slope it is quit hard because of the snow
But there is different types of slopes depending on your ability to ski or snowboard
But I had a great time there hope to come back another day.😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

Nice ski resort, and helpful staff but totally unhelpful and not understanding management. As our first ski holiday ever. We purchased our ski passes on online for 4 days . On the second day my partner lost the ski pass. ( the ski passes are also made in white colour , so when u trop it,it will make impossible to find it). Anyhow,as we butchered the ticket on online before arrival our details were in a system. However they refuse to give as a new replacement pass. So we need it to buy the ticket with a full price again for 3 days.Absolutely no understanding that every situation should be deal with different manners ! The manager was more like a robotic , not listening and repeating the same thing overs and over . Very disappointed. Will never return and recommend this place to anyone !!!

Grandvalira is the best ski resort in Andorra for advanced and intermediate skiers. There’s plenty of well prepared slopes, ranging from blue to black. There is also a big snow park for those who dare to do some tricks! The resort has lots of bars and restaurants and the access is easy from several villages such cad Tarter or Soldeu. Big parking is available for free next to the lifts to the resort. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic group lessons with Bruce R. Highly recommend this resort for all levels from beginner to expert. Great balance of Instruction, mountain guide and skiing. My technique and confidence improved massively over the 5 days. Group lessons are split on ability so you're always in a group suited to your level. Great resort for famies, couples and groups. Cannot wait to return.

Absolutely brilliant. The group lessons, the private lessons, all superbly led by excellent instructors who know the slopes, know the area and generally get the whole teaching thing. You don't have to doski school but if you do you'll get better and enjoy the skiing more I bet. Don't be scared to do 3 days though, mix in a bit of private and then spend the rest of the time exploring. If you get lost or stuck ... just ask an instructor!

We were extremely disappointed with the service they provided. We encountered several road closures, and neither the app nor the webpage provided adequate warnings (the closures were scheduled). As a result, we arrived late to a class because of this.

A must place to visit for all skills of skiing or snowboarding with terrain suited for all. I've been several years now and the teams do a great job keeping the powder on the slopes. They have schools in which you can learn from beginner or even get tips on improving your skiing or boarding. Personally, I prefer to stay in town Soldeu as it is more adequate with facilities, rental gear, nightlife and access to the slopes. See you next year!

Found it on a day off from the slopes. Luckily managed to get there just after lunch and it was quiet so we had a tour ourselves. Very very interesting and one of the highlights of our holiday!

Came here because we were looking for something to do on a rainy day, was very pleasantly surprised. About €13 per person, and you join one of the tours that leaves approximately every half-1 hour, we were lucky and arrived just as one was leaving. You have to take the tour, which is led by a french guide. If you can't speak French there is the option for one of those prerecorded phones with info for different points.
The tour lasted a good hour and the different formations were amazing, really enjoyed it

(Translated by Google) We left for the mini day on snowshoes, the guide took us on an unmarked walk. A good way to discover the surroundings while being well supervised.
The guide adapted to the group (children, good walkers and less good ones) in terms of pace and "attractions" (explaining the animal tracks, how the igloos on the path were constructed, name surrounding peaks, improvised slide on a snowy slope...)
For a first experience with snowshoes, I recommend it!
It is still better to be used to hiking so that it will be simpler and more enjoyable.

Nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees Ariegeoises, Les Bains du Couloubret offers a rejuvenating experience for visitors seeking relaxation and wellness. After a day of skiing or exploring the picturesque surroundings, this thermal bath provides an ideal retreat to unwind and indulge in a wellness program. The ancient architecture adds to the charm of this spa, making it a perfect place to leave behind stress and worries.
Excellent experience. Very easy to use up two hours soaking in the thermal baths and sitting in the sauna and Hammam. The place is very well designed, spacious and well equipped with good change rooms and lockers. Do pay attention to their odd bathing costume policy though.
Jamie Hay — Google review
Entrance fee is 45€ for 2 adults, changing rooms, lockers, and hair dryers are provided. Overall, the water temperature is lukewarm and the water is cloudy and dirty. There is a sauna and other hot springs on the second floor, but those under 16 are not allowed to enter. There are two types of saunas: dry and mist. There is a cold bath and one hot bath at about 40 degrees. Swimsuits and seawater pants are not allowed. There are employees at each location, so you can feel safe even if you bring children.
Liee CC — Google review
This place has a dress code. I went out and bought short (1/3 of the way down the thigh) lycra shorts as I was refused entry initially. I return with said shorts and the staff members tell me my shorts are not appropriate when another French men is wearing past the knee length board shorts wandering around. I present the gentlemen with this example and he says his shorts are OK and mine were not. I'm sure I was picked on for not being French.
Blayne Young — Google review
The spa is quite nice, but you get 1 star for the silly requirement for boxers. I've been to many spas across Europe - why shorts are not suitable? Is it that some of your staff enjoys watching men in tight boxers?
If it's for hygiene - explain why my shorts are more less hygienic than tight boxers.
Also, your staff doesn't speak any of the foreign languages. I don't mean only English - we could speak Italian, Russian and Polish apart from English. In this time and age it's normal to have at least a basic command of some foreign language.

Promenade Paul Salette, 09110 Ax-les-Thermes, France
Cave network featuring miles of passages, galleries & chambers with over 70 prehistoric paintings.
Fantastic visit, with a great guide who was so knowledgeable and personable. The grotte art was sublime and the site well presented and preserved. Thankfully no photos allowed so we had the experience without the 'shutter-bugs' hogging the view and distracting from the experience.

Fantastic visit to 17,000 year old cave paintings. Reservation mandatory as number of visitors is limited. Need good walking shoes, not for people with poor mobility due to rough terrain inside cave. Total visit about 1h45. One of the only places where you can see the original paintings not reproductions. Highly recommended.
Gareth Richards — Google review
Excellent guide and well worth the trip. Amazingly well preserved cave paintings. One of our highlights of our time in the region.
Andrew Brooke — Google review
A must see for all that care about human history in general. The cave itself is kept completely dark for conservation reasons, you walk around with your own lamp up to the point where the paintings are. This is where the lights go off and the guide specifically shows you each magnificent piece with light directed at it in a timed manner. The cave itself is completely uninteresting from a geological pov. Caution! Good shoes with a solid grip are a must! This visit is not suitable for children unde 6-7 and for people with reduced mobility, neither is it advisable for claustrophobic persons. The privilege of seeing these unimaginable old pieces that are so clear and almost relatable 16000 years later is priceless and well worth the trip.

Grotte de Niaux or Cave of Niaux
Was there almost 30 years ago. It was a very rustic walk and crawl but well worth the effort. Fascinating.
Paul Ilmer — Google review
The cave itself was fantastic. A truly unique experience in a dark cave with torches. It felt like discovering it for the first time which is rare. I am able bodied but parts of this cave are very slippery with some stairs and slopes. The art of course was breathtaking.
Having made sure I'd read the rules thoroughly we pre booked our tickets, arrived early, wore warm clothes and didn't take backpacks BUT not being around for the whole of the explanation to the people buying tickets in front of us I must have missed the part about no cameras?? This was never mentioned again, even at the talk before we entered going back over the rules - so I was mortified when our guide reprimanded me strongly in front of a group of strangers for videoing ( not the cave paintings of course but some 19th C graffiti). I spent the next 30 minutes feeling mortified, upset and deeply embarrassed.
I believe it should have been explained/ highlighted better at the start to avoid all this.
For the amazing experience it gets 5*. For access 3*. For making me cry 0*. 😬

The cave features varied shapes and rock formations, with artful lighting to enhance the overall experience. Visitors have found the guide friendly and interesting, making it a must-see attraction in the area.

Well worth a visit. The museum was so detailed and informative, with interactive elements for all ages.
There are 4 activities outside - archaeology, hunting, cave painting and camping. We went to archaeology and hunting. We enjoyed both - the staff member at the hunting activity was brilliant and very enthusiastic. All the staff were superb - very friendly and passionate about the park.

This was a positive surprise.
Part of the museum is outdoors and give you the opportunity to meet people that perform pre-historic activities, making fire, paint cave paintings, and throw spears.
Another part is more classic museum with a nice audio guide. Quite much.
There is a good restaurant on the site.
Nicklas — Google review
I really wanted to visit the Cave of Niaux but they recommend against children under 6 going and instead recommend the Prehistoric Park. Great, I thought. I will go and send my husband and 3 year old to the park. Unfortunately, they restrict small children ( ie the under 6 set) from almost all of the hands on activities— my son was not allowed to do the archaeology digging ( no actual tools or sharp that I could see), nor was he allowed to do the “ hunting” station— err rather than the javelin ( with no sharp point) he was taken to a different area and given cloth balls to aim at bunny targets…. after he said, “ ok, but when do I try the hunting part?”. He cried leaving the archaeology exhibit saying “ they don’t share!”. which actually seemed very accurate! He was able to participate in the cave painting which he did love. I imagine he would have loved the others too. The museum was nice but only available via ( included) audio tour; little to no information you could read on your own. Admittedly, my son enjoyed the “ little kids” audio more than I expected, the audio only format sort of prevented me from interacting with him or pointing things out… It was an isolating visit rather than a social experience. Would have been nice had I been visiting alone but I would have liked to share it more with my son ( I could have pointed out what I had just seen at Niaux, for instance). It was a lovely setting and the walking area nice but I can’t recommend it for small children. The littlest ones are excluded here.

I don't know it takes a long time to visit. Only the arrow workshop instructor knew Spanish, so we couldn't really enjoy the rest of the workshops since they were only in French. In the museum part they give you an audio guide and you can listen to all the explanations. We ate the menu in the restaurant which is good value for money.

More interesting for educational school trips rather than holiday visits. Lots of space for strolling but I would suggest some of the local caves are more interesting. I personally didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the quality of food but looks appealing.

Mountain-top, ruined, 13th-century castle with a museum for historical & archeological exhibits.
Amazing climb and views. Can download an ap to listen to history in english. 6 euros entry in cash. Steep but fine if you go gently. Can rent stucks for 2 euros if needed. I took mine and was glad to have them.
Susan Pepper — Google review
Well worth a visit if you’re in the area and enjoy a well earned vista! It’s a bit of a climb to the top, about 30mins up a pretty steep mountain side but the ruined Chateau fort and the views of the surrounding area are stunning. We didn’t take a trip to the village just down the road due to the heat but the ticket (€5 for an adult) allows free entry to the museum should you want to know more about this mystical ruin.

Most important of the 'Cathar' castles but not as frequently visited. Castle itself is decently well maintained. Nice views. Climb is not hard for people in decent shape.

Amazing place, with beautiful view. Road over winter is a bit extreme, but it gives more adventurous. On a top is one destroyed castel with interesting history.
Catherine Filippova — Google review
The castle isn't much to see but you go here for the view and history. There was a great guide (in french) explaining the story of the castle and the end of the cathars
... when I get back home I'll fire up medieval 1212AD and bring back the Cathars !!
Johnny M — Google review
Beautiful medieval castle full of history. The museum and town below are also lovely. Loved the view from the top after a tough but rewarding hike!
Hunter Purvis — Google review
The walk is pretty steep, but if you are a backpacker that came on foot from Lavelanet, then this additional part should feel like a reasonably-paced epilogue (unless you have run out of water on your way to the castle). There's little information available in English on the signs, so if you came here to read about the Cathars, be prepared to polish your French. As is often the case with high-altitude places, the view alone is worth the struggle.
I must say the place doesn't feel particularly mystical, excluding the atmosphere of remoteness that its relative altitude creates. Guess that has to do with it having a more boring history after 1244
Éamon M — Google review
Great walk. Not easy for everyone with a rocky steep path off.
Mike Gifford — Google review
Small Ruin of a cathartic castle, historical wise very interesting. About the ruin is not that much to see, what amaze me is that there were living up to 600 people on the rock. The view over the surrounding land is amazing, the way up is a bit challenging for a couch potato but do able. Take water and sturdy shoes with you.
Sören Dähnrich — Google review
It was a very nice visit, a bit hard to get up but thats okay, was just a disappointed that the info boards was only in French.
Carsten Tune Petersen — Google review
The climb to the castle ruins is approximately 1km in length, with an elevation gain of 250 metres, so it is not for the faint-hearted. The view from the top is fantastic and the history enthralling. If you imagine the events that took place here you wonder how people can be so cruel.
Alan C (AlanC-LAUK) — Google review
Beautiful chatue, situated right on the top of the hill.
The hike is manageable, it takes around 30 minutes with easy steps going up. The view from the top it is really beautiful, as you can see all around.
Rennes-le-Château is a charming commune located in the Aude department of Southern France. Despite its small population, it attracts numerous visitors intrigued by its fascinating history. The village is renowned for the mysterious fortune acquired by Father Berenger Sauniere and has become a popular destination for curious travelers, drawing around 120,000 visitors annually. It offers an intriguing experience for those interested in exploring its enigmatic past and picturesque surroundings.
Opened in 1992, this natural history museum features dinosaur skeletons & paleontological workshops.
This Museum was an unbelievable surprise, I personally had so much fun and my kids did too. The displays were very impressive, some of the best I've seen for dinosaurs. The building was extremely clean, the staff friendly and helpful and there was no one there so we really had the place to ourselves! Would definitely go back! Tickets allowed us to go in before lunch and come back after the lunch closing hour.

Fun little museum. Great for kids who love their dinosaurs. Really great fossils which are nicely preserved and displayed. Fun animatronics of dinosaurs which our son enjoyed. The cafe etc was shut when we arrived, however it was late in the day and it was also in November, so late season also. We hadn’t planned on visiting but saw it when passing. It was a good side trip.

A very Nice museum. That was bigger than I expected. Is you like dinosaurs this is great.
(A nice exhibition that that's you travelling true time) most of the explanation I also in English. If you don't like them don't visit it you will get bored.
Nice to know. You can use you're entry ticket multiple times. So you can use lunch in between. (The restaurant next door is good!)
A. van Dijk — Google review
Lovely dinosaur exhibition. Signs are in both English and French, and well laid out with good explanations. The centre piece is the skeletons of a number of dinosaurs which are very impressive. Good distraction for 2 hours. The car parking is very limited, and they close for lunch at 12:30.

Good museum amazing fossils everything also in English and a impressive T-Rex exhibit also they focus on everything they find in the region. Normally we see only US found fossils. Here you see a lot of European ones with great detail and information. If your French is good the tour is a good one.
Justin Kieft — Google review
Really worth the visit. The realistic T Rex frightened the life out of us, full size moving and roaring. A must for children and adults alike. The restaurant beside the museum is inexpensive and of good quality, virtually giving the food away. A glass of red wine for 2€.

This is Esperaza's dinosaur museum.
It is very well thought out and takes you on a journey through history tracing the development of the dinosaurs.
There is plenty to see and don't forget to visit the T-rex at the end.
The hat museum is also housed in the same building.
Mark Sutherland — Google review
If you've kids it's a must. It beats all other dinosaur museums I've seen including natural history museum in London. A nice drive and free parking it's well worth the admission. Our 3 kids loved it. The hat museum next door is worth a look too.

Hilltop castle & former prison, built from the 10th-15th centuries, with museum of regional history.

While climbing a lot of stairs. The only downside is that the activities are in french

A beautiful castle of historical importance - hosting the counts of Foix and connected to the history of Catharism. Two towers of three can be climbed up to the top (narrow stairs) offering a view of the Pirenees. Several activities for schools and children, and an excellent museum of the history of Foix, albeit both only in french (but Google lens can come to the rescue)!
Alessio Lombardi — Google review
A beautiful little town with a great medieval castle. In a great condition, it's overlooking the town from the hill. The museum is informative but everything is in French. The castle offers great views of the mountains, several workshops which are interesting to see and demonstrations of medieval siege weapons.
Liz Cosgrave — Google review
One of the best castles in Europe.
The town and castle of Foix is an amazing place in the world. There are some great walks around the town that give some incredible views and the castle is very well maintained. The museum is incredibly comprehensive and fun with interactive activities. There are also several people dressed up in medieval garments that will answer all of your questions about construction, smithing, weaponary and siege engines of the dark ages.

Splendid place in Mirepoix. Mirepoix itself is a medieval village, a bastide, with such an impressive arhitecture. Have a look around and stop to see the Consul's House, or have a coffee at one of the beautiful cafés. If you are around mid-October, you might be right on time for the Apple Festival. And is a MUST to see the catedral, with is religious choir. Just so relaxing...

It is a very old church, it began to be made at XII (1209 if I'm not wrong) century and had finished at XIX century.
It's construction stopped between the years 1300-1400 because of the "hundred years war" (England vs France) and because of a pest epidemic.
An interesting landmark to be visit. I guess that it is one pf the oldest of France.

Needs restoration on inside. And hardly any information found on: history & construction &/or what to see in Cathedral. For example: a fresco and more... Learned back home by coincidence through reading about Chartres labyrinth, there is one too in Mirepoix.... Situated floor side chapel within cathedral. Size 60 cm, 11 circuit with Minotaur at the centre. C. 1530
Mischa “020ontheroad” — Google review
The spectacular and ancient Cathedrale St Maurice in Mirepoix France is well worth a visit. Quiet and contemplative atmosphere inside is complimented by the medieval architecture.
Many prehistoric cave painting & artifacts have been found in this cave carved by the Arize River.
The approach to the cave via the road tunnel is really striking, and the cave itself, whilst not as spectacular as some, is fascinating from a historical point of view. The tour in French was excellent, and not expensive. Personally I could have done without the holograms, but they only took up 5 minutes of an hour long visit. On a practical note, there is adequate car parking, and a decent snack bar, and the nearby village has shops and restaurants, and a museum of pre-history which is included in the entry price to the cave.
David Hempstead — Google review
Passed through en-route to Toulouse airport. A natural wonder which you can drive through. A cafe is present serving food and drinks and there's also a public toilet (but locked out of season when footfall is low). Free parking allowing to wander around and picnic if preferred. There's also a visitor's museum and a bungee jump (in summer season) for those looking for an adrenaline rush!
Ian — Google review
We have not visited the cave museum, but on top of the cave or in the immediate surroundings, there are magnificent walks.
Marc Leeman — Google review
Quite annoyed, yes there is in french written there are only guided tours (only in french, which takes a hour) but then write at least also that they start a half hour after opening. Nowadays the translation engines are so good, that it would be very nice. Opening times are quite limited with a lunch break from 12-13.15. I didn’t made inside. So it’s more a review on the informations.

Great place to see!
- There is a cave to visit with a guide, but the entrance is on specific hour not randomly
- tickets 10€ adult person,
- interesting description of culture and artefacts, and video presentation
- I was missing longer walk in the cave, the "complet dark" test/situation, geological/morphological description, laser pointer ^^! (But the shadow pointer wasn't bad) and souvenir in the exact shape of the main artefact[Faon aux oiseaux] like a fancy pencil or small necklace- i would definitely buy it! And i was missing possibility to take pictures in the cave :(
- a little bit too cold in the waiting room
- public toilets on the parking next to the cave were closed :(
- great 3d model of the whole cave
- great model of the bear and his skeleton

Great grotto to visit. Big negative is no pictures is allowed and the guide only speaks french, so if you don't understand french you gonna miss out on some things, you do get a guide book in english, but the conversation in the hologram room is not translated in the book. You can take pictures of the outside of the grotto. The guide was a really kind person and you felt welcome. So worth the visit if you have interest in pre historic stuff.

Beautiful place, a must if you are in Ariège ! You must book a reservation !

Impressive cave system. The tour was a little disappointing for non-French speakers. The website claimed that you could get an English guide in July but this was basically a couple of leaflets, both of which you had to read before the tour as it was too dark in the caves to read them. Also, one of the leaflets was yellow type printed on black, so was virtually impossible to read anyway. Our tour guide seemed to spend ages talking about the artefacts (which we couldn't understand) and then sprint through the caverns themselves, which was a shame as you needed more time to appreciate them.
Helen Watts — Google review
A huge cave going right through the hillside. Big enough for a road to use it as a tunnel alongside the river. There is a small car park at the end and then you can walk into the cave and towards the museum.
The surrounding countryside is very pretty with lots of hiking available. Alas we didn’t have time so I can’t comment on the museum or the surroundings in detail. But the cave is cool!
Andy Reynolds — Google review
Tour tickets need to be booked in advance. Tours start every 30mins. Visitor centre is approx half a kilometre from the carpark. Small cafe en route between the two.
Spoken guide is in French only, which is fine - translated written guides available. However the tour of the caves themselves had such low lighting you couldn’t read the written guides whilst in there.
This is not an accessible tour; the visitor centre and initial exhibition/display is accessible (as are the toilets via a wheelchair lift) but visitors need to be able-bodied and steady in their feet to be able to take the tour of the caves themselves. Significant number of steep steps and where the floor is natural cave underfoot you need to be very careful. Better floor level lighting would improve this considerably.
Donovan Jones — Google review
This is such a cool place to see and learn about prehistoric, geologic, and more recent modern human times! The tours are only given in French, but they have information booklets English and other languages so that you can understand whay the guide is saying. Also, in several parts of the Grotto and caves, there are information signs in French.
A few notes: No pics/video allowed. Parking is on the upper part of the Grotto, and you have to walk down to the middle to the information center. Bathrooms are at the top by parking.
The drive is lovely as well, and with the price of your tour ticket, you can visit the museum in town for free (Musée de la Préhistoire). Lots of cute shops in town too, and some hiking trails around. Definitely worth a visit!

(Translated by Google) We spent the whole day there choosing the Duo adventure formula: canoe guide + treetop adventure 😁
Impressive canoe descent! For a first experience, my feelings were mixed. Being a total novice in handling paddles and canoes, it was stressful, especially in places where there were rapids. As a result, I found it difficult to relax and enjoy the setting, the landscape, the moment. The guides who accompanied us were friendly, I thank Jérémy who got us out of the water after capsizing 😅, my 13 year old daughter and me 🙏🏻. We were 2 groups, 1 guided per group.
The descent lasted 2h30 😛 it's physical, it's tough! And watch out for aches the next day! At the end of the descent, our guides' colleagues were waiting for us to take us back by truck 👍🏻👌🏻 that was great and well organized. Back at La Belle Verte we were able to change to get dry (change of clothing required), we had lunch there at the snack bar offering buckwheat pancakes which we enjoyed. Thanks to the snack lady who was very friendly 😁.
We were able to continue with the treetop adventure session, treetop treetop guides were all very friendly. Gigantic place and route. Top security 👌🏻

Village Gaulois - Archeosite is a reconstructed Gaulish village with realistic constructions and various activities for both children and adults. The friendly welcome and the mobile application provide a guided experience throughout the discovery. Workshops such as tailoring in leather, copper, and coin-making keep children engaged while transporting them back to the times of the Gauls. The park offers knowledge through guided activities and independent exploration, making it an educational rather than an amusement park.
Recreation of a "typical" Village Gaulois an hour's drive from Toulouse. It's open from 14h00 (check days). The huts have been carefully recreated since the foundation of the project 1993. The team run excellent workshops and present their "metiers". Wood working, pottery, wool.

(Translated by Google) After reading some negative comments, I was pleasantly surprised by a very well-made park, with superb and very realistic constructions, with a lot of knowledge available (as long as you are willing to read) and workshops led by people charming and passionate. It is not an amusement park, but a place of knowledge with guided activities and other independent ones. In a very fun setting, even if the goal is not to compete with Eurodisney. Once this aspect is in mind, we benefit a lot from the visit and the culture of the staff present on site. The park is actually very big, we spent the whole day there, and it was necessary to not do everything at a run and fly over it. For children yes, so curious and eager for knowledge about a very poorly documented and little taught era. A great discovery, which is worth it.

Thomas is the MVP of our holiday! He took the time to establish what we were interested in, and made fantastic suggestions for our family. We really appreciated his knowledge, friendliness and rugby chat!

Vista obligada para extranjeros y locales que quieran saber que visitar en Castelnaudary y sus alrededores.
🎁También se pueden comprar algunos souvenires de la ciudad.
Personal muy amables y atentos, gracias por vuestras sugerencias 👍

Camp or boat?
Castelnaudary is a great starting point to explore the Canal du Midi and its cluses (locks) all the way up to Toulouse, Carcassonne or the Mediterranean Sea. Bring a cassoulet (a specialty from Castelnaudary) along the way. Le Boat rents boats (no permits needed). Their bases have showers, toilets and WiFi. Sounds like camping on water ;-)

Impresionados.

Impressed. That's how he left us. We did not expect such charm in such a small town. The pool, the Church, the mill, the atmosphere of the promenade... Highly recommended.
Be careful, the information and tourism office closes at 12 noon... No comments

(Translated by Google) A warm welcome.
A simple but perfectly preserved cloister. The interior of the church is a must-see, a visit of about an hour that I highly recommend for lovers of religious heritage.

Un accueil chaleureux.
Un cloître simple mais parfaitement conservè. L'interieur de l'église est à voir absolument, une visite d'environ une heure que je conseille vivement pour les amateurs de patrimoine religieux.
Such a nice location to shop for quality items from big name outlet stores. Nailloux Village and outlet shopping centre is set in the beautiful French country side. Not far from the city of Toulouse.

This is a well organized outlet mall with many stores close by Toulouse. The price reduction is not bad but not on all products.
I am missing some luxury and France stores, that I would expect at a France outlet mall.
The parking lots are big enough but on a busy day it could be to less.

Not bad, but some iconic brand left the place since before Covid days and there is less of quality choice. Lower level brands are still there

This outlet centre appears dated and did not really appeal much, however there are a couple of good brands represented (B&SH, Gerard Darel, Les Petits Hauts and Le Creuset for example) and we did make some purchases. The staff in each of these were very helpful.
On the downside eating options are limited and the piped music is terrible!

A really nice outlet mall. It has a nice layout and we found some intresting new brands as well as some classics. Obviously the Lindnt store and it's milk hot chocolate was a highlight for me!

Prices are much lower but less selections. Most of the shops do not offer tax refund.

It's ok to kill some time if you have extra time before boarding the flight from toulouse as its only 35mins away

Good place to spend time for shopping and there is a place for kids to play, no restaurants open after 3 o'clock

Unfortunately there are hardly any shops that allow dogs to enter. It's a pity if shopping by yourself, because there are loads of nice shops.
