This is a beautiful Church with a gorgeous interior

Great guide of the church, very interesting history and very well exsplaind by the guide. Guide tours are Wednesday and Thursday at 16.00hrs.

Tripped over this on an accidental visit to Celle. Just stuck our nose in the door and we were so impressed with such a unique church.
In fact, we would put Celle above Hannover and Hamburg in terms of enjoyable tourist visits in the region. A pretty and relaxing town.

The Church of St. Mary in Celle is certainly one of the most spectacular Protestant churches in Germany. The vivid baroque stucco work by Italian master Giovanni Tornielle is a rare example of the North German baroque, and interesting for its almost Renaissance-like execution and the absence of a central object or clear direction, such as a fresco. Also worth visiting is the much earlier-composed high altar from 1615 with its transitional style and the extravagant baroque epitaphs of the House of Braunschweig-Lüneburg. Make sure to climb the tower and see the remarkable Renaissance planned-city of Celle from above.

Very beautiful church

Climbing the tower is certainly worth the view you get on Celle and surrounding

This is a beautiful church and you have to see it from the inside as well!
70 species including big cats in a woodland park housing animals trained for movie & TV filming.
Nice place, very good for kids👍

We are generally not fans of zoos but all the positive reviews for this one made me think it would be ok. We were very disappointed in the way the big cats are kept - the cages are very small, the white tiger was pacing- it was very sad to see. If they can’t afford to provide proper enclosures, they shouldn’t have the cats there. We were surprised to see this on Germany as we thought the regulations would be better.
Michaela Anchan — Google review
Small but very interesting zoo with lion and tigers.
Alexius K — Google review
Hi everyone..
My kids enjoyed alot there as it was 1st day after Lockdown was totally finished. On the whole this zoo or park is small as compared to all others which i visited till now but still it is beautiful, near to nature and you can spend 4 hours there without getting bored. Ticket is also economic. We got a deal of 2 elders and 2 kids for 28€ from Groupon...

Animals seemed OK to me. Especially the wolves and cats.
Bergen-Belsen Memorial is a site that preserves the memory of the horrors of World War II, serving as a tribute to those who lost their lives during this dark period in history. It houses monuments, displays and research facilities that chronicle the experience of former POWs and those sent to concentration and displaced persons camps. The museum staff are welcoming and helpful, creating an organized space for visitors to learn about this somber part of history.
This is a place of history, mourning and grieving. It is very organized and a TRUE tribute to ALL who lost their lives.
Sasha Benet — Google review
Free to enter and walk around, the scale of the area is massive and you can easily spend 2-3 hours walking around. You don't truly understand the scale of the camp until you walk the grounds.
Although none of the original building stand there are plenty of maps explaining certain areas dotted around the grounds.
The POW cemetery is separate from the camp, roughly a 5 min walk and is now connected via a sand path that crosses the training area.
All signs have an English translation and the exhibits in the museum also have English translations.
There is a cafe and library on site, but I didn't visit.
Provvo90 — Google review
Well preserved. Dont forget to visit the Sovjet POW cemetery - a 15 minute walk.

Worth visiting.
Clean and tidy place. Good information and easy to access

Another very humbling experience. This was our third camp that we went to on our trip to Germany. We were not expecting to be here long, because unlike Sachsenhausen and Dachau, Bergen Belsen does not have any structures up besides the visitors center/exhibit....but we ended up visiting for about 3 hours. While the building didn't really take long, walking the grounds and reading the signs of where things were, the memorial and graves took the majority of time. I would recommend coming here.
Brian Morton — Google review
Wow, what a moving, thought provoking and awful place. I cried most of the way around the site and the museum. They have a place for reflection as well as well signed areas of interest.
bridgeen whittle — Google review
I visited 40 years ago whilst I was in the Army stationed in Germany. I remember it being a vast open space with burial mounds with mass graves. It's still as vast, however, a lot more trees and vegetation, it now has a visitors centre, a museum and other buildings. We got talking to a lady who was originally from Poland who was accompanied by her son, they lived in London, she was a prisoner in Bergen-Belsen until it was liberated by the British in April 1945, she was 14 years old. Fascinating and sad at the same time.
Shaun Hanlon — Google review
We went on a weekend morning, the countryside is very picturesque coming into the memorial. It is free entry and you have about 2km of walking in the memorial so wearing good shoes is a must as it can be very muddy. Very educational and emotionally charging. Lots of people were placing stones on the graves, this is a mark of respect in Judaism, and you can add to it. The adjacent museum is also very well presented and gives a good understanding of the camp.
Jeremy Kraus — Google review
Lots of the display ground/ in the floor glass cabinets lights were inoperable so difficult to see displays
Namrog Nivek — Google review
Well worth a visit to pay your respects and learn from history and not just delete it. Make you walk down to the POW graves.
Chris Swift — Google review
People in the museum are very friendly and helpful. This place is peaceful, green, quiet...but when you realise where you are and what happened there...you get the chills. It makes you feel humble. It is remarkable how a bit of history can do that to a person.
Serengeti Park Hodenhagen - "Safari Adventure in the middle of Europe"
Animal park
Nature & Parks
Animal park & holiday resort, with safari-style lodging, free-roaming animals & rollercoasters.
A very nice place to spend a full day. You can even stay at the resort and spend another day without getting bored. Large safari park with an amusement park combined. It's fun for both 2yrs till grandparents alike. Entry price seems on the high side, but it is reasonable considering the amount of content and fun. Restaurants seem a bit costly, could be the inflation is the issue.
It's recommended without any doubt!
Tanvir Mahmud — Google review
+ great experience
+ Children would love it
+ Great Spielplatz and Freizeitpark, and all free
- very long queue to get the tickets
- hard to find available bathroom
- i would expect for this place a better restaurant
Advice: go with your own car, animals are scared of buses and won't come close to you. It is much better with your own car
Ilia — Google review
Trully a horrible experience. No one ever respects the rule of driving on the left side, therefore you get to see only the animals that are at your left. Trully annoying that people have so little common sense and think they are above all else . And yes we told people that work here during our tour and no one does anything about it. Overpiced! Seriously avoid.
D C — Google review
A great Safari Park where you can see the most amazing animals including the big 5! A great experience for the entire family. You can do the safari with your own car or ride on a bus/safari car from the park. Price per adult 41.50 EUR and children above 3 year 21 EUR
Moutassem Archid — Google review
this is a wonderful place! Best memory of the last year! Thank you! THANK YOU!!! we are from I kraine, you gave our children a fairy tale!

The animals are great, even though there are much lesser animals than there were a couple of years ago. Attractions are nothing out of the ordinary and are somewhat aged, but there are some exceptions, like the black mamba. fun with family, do not recommend going there with friends, since it’ll be mostly boring. Kids will love this place though.
Miroslav Muhatov — Google review
Wonderful day spent with the family.
I would recommend for the accommodation as well. Probably the best way it is to arrive at evening there, to spend the night surrounded with animals, awaiting for the next day full of adventure. Also I would recommend in this order the accommodation because you get the priority next day and you can enter the safari before 10 o’clock when everybody is coming and it gets really crowded.
I would definitely avoid any weekends or holidays.
It is worth all the money.
Natalia Ceban — Google review
Great place, worthwhile experience to spend a day or two with kids. Animal safari, fun rides, water rides, toy train rides and many more can be experienced at one place once you enter the gate. I would suggest to arrive little early so not a single moment is wasted till exit time.
Bidisha Samajpati — Google review
Great park with lunapark too. Nice place to spend the whole day with family and friends. It has lots of wild animals.
Tonka Medvid — Google review
fantastic full day experince. Went safari by car (I would strongly recommend to not go safari by bus), most animals were very active and came close to our car. after this experience, I think I could actually even drop my dream to go on a African safari trip someday. and then there was adventure safari and jungle safari on top to add to our joy. I had been to many zoos and theme parks, and I can say their staffs are super friendly and cheerful. I think the ticket price of 43.5€ is super cheap for the overall package and experience.
I honestly cant believe some of the negative reviews.
Harish — Google review
Unique experience that was very enjoyable. You get really close to some of the animals which is really cool! Lots of animals you would not typically see in a standard zoo, and this safari gives you more opportunities to see each animal since the road goes directly through the habitats.
My only “complaint” would be that when we went, a high number of animals were not visible. Maybe only 40-50% we actually saw. Besides that, great park - definitely go if you are considering it!

Serengeti Park Hodenhagen provides a serene safari experience in Europe that is both informative and enjoyable. Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast, a family seeking a relaxing outing, or simply someone looking for a change of scenery, this park delivers. It's an experience that will leave you with a greater appreciation for the world's wildlife, all in a more relaxed setting.

Great Place to spend a nice Time with your Family. It’s not extremely cheap - but you can Explorer a lot of trips to different kind of animal tours.Just keep in mind before the park is opening there are already a lot of people and you should be very fast to get some of the good tickets for the Tours. The rooms in the park are very cheap - no luxury to expect - but fine to sleep one night !
Andy K. — Google review
A great place to go with kids. Safari with option to drive on your own car or rake a bus/truck ride. Also has rollercoster and rides as well as pllenty of kids play areas.
Food options could be better though.
Irfan Malik — Google review
It was amazing and perfect for family with kids. I would highly recommend to take the safari with your own car, so that you can spend desired time with each animal. The amusement park has rides for all age groups. We really loved the Black mamba and Splash safari and was so much fun. The lodging was also very comfortable with a good breakfast. I would definitely visit again!
Cityhopper — Google review
It was a quite confusing arriving in the park, because there were signs only in German. Mostly everything in the park is in German and can be hard to understand sometimes. The big safari ride is slower right after opening, but more free and less crowded around lunchtime.
The amusement park was kid friendly, but not so exciting for adults, as the attractions are mid-size.
Elizabete Auza — Google review
Great safari Park for kids. Few improvements may be needed: more instructions and info in English, maps of the park available at the entrance, staggering entrance of private vehicle to the safari areas to avoid long lines in front of poor animals.
Marco Grazia — Google review
Our family enjoyed both the safari and the amusement park. We went to the safari by car, so we were able to see the animals more easily, whereas the safari bus moves quite fast without stopping. The rides in amusement park are old, but they're quite fun and fast. We didn't have time to try and experience everything in the park in one day. It's a good thing we didn't rush to buy tickets online, because we got a free child ticket to the park when we stayed in a nearby hotel.
Daiva — Google review
We spent an entire day here , and it was totally worth every minute spent here… perfect outing for families and a unique experience for kids and adults alike.
We went on a long weekend day and it was way too crowded. That’s the only downside.
Urooj Fatima — Google review
The safari experience is great, especially with own car. But due to no English description for late arrivals (neither on the Web nor in the reservation confirmation) we ended up being forced to find another accommodation. The infoline shuts down around 18:00 and the only way to get into the hotel is to call the night watch. But you need to be able to understand poorly-lit sign on the gate written in German. Despite our problems, the venue forced us to pay the full price for the hotel.
Bird park with 675 species, from hummingbirds to condors, penguins to parrots, plus botanic gardens.
A definite must see in Niedersachsen! We spent close to 8 hours exploring the park and we were amazed of the size of the park and variety of birds.
The shows are amazing with exotic birds flying millimeters away from you.
Our only recommendation the the park is to hand out a map to visitors. That would help navigate the park a bit easier.
Nicolai Lynnerup — Google review
A huge bird park. Recommended you wear good shoes, lots of walking involved. The park is full of different species of birds from around the world. There are outside and inside cages alongside averies and outdoor sections. The park puts on an excellent outside show on with the larger birds. Plenty of seats to take a rest and good toilet facilities. Lots to do for the kids including a huge set of tube slides to get exhausted on! Easily put aside three to four hours for a visit.

A fantastic day out. The bird shows are second to none. The bird keepers are friendly and very knowledgeable. Plus mobility scooters are available

You can see so many birds in one place together. There are also possibilities to feed the birds and watch them fly. There is a wonderful playground for kids. The personal is very friendly and you can have different tasty snacks.

Amazing place to visit along with family. Different type of birds seen. The show was also excellent.
Chandra Mohan Saini — Google review
Impressive variety of international birds. Not cheap at €27,50 (less if you book ahead), but worth the money.
Go see the houses where butterflies flutter around your head, the one where parrots zoom past you, and visit the rare Kiwi in its dark refuge.
Plan ahead to see the feeding, and open-air bird of prey flight shows. (Times posted at the entrance, included in the regular ticket)
I’m tempted to book a meet&greet with the penguins on my next visit.
W. Eggers — Google review
This is a paradise for bird lovers. The collection of birds is huge.
There were two shows. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. The shows were very good with huge birds flying over the public.
The release of all the parrots at the end of the show was great.
You can easily spend all day at the park. For the young ones there are big playgrounds.
Karel De Jonge — Google review
Very interesting park with a lot of different exotic birds. It's a nice place to spend your day. Personally my goal was to meet that rare and mysterious bird - shoebill stork, and I'm glad my dream came alive. I were worried that some birds had small cages, especially some of the owls. Also it was a little bit hard to navigate the map, but in general I liked it!

Great bird park with many different species, a cool flight show and a lot of fun for both kids and adults. And what’s the best for me: there are shoebills !!!
Ying Wang — Google review
5 star experience on a beautiful Sunday. All very well organised and protected. You not only see a big variety of birds, in nicely protected environment but as well interesting flight show and direct experience with some of them (only if you want).
I have been in some other bird parks on other geographies. One sad thing about these had been how the birds kept in an unfriendly way. Here it is definitely not the case. Birds seem healthy and happy (at least to me).
Parking is easy, directions clear. Logistics (e.g toilets) well organised, clean. Enough food opportunities, quite many playing areas for the kids.
We arrived short before 3 pm and were not fully finished when they closed the park at 7 pm. If you want to visit all areas, see the shows and still would like to have some breaks to eat, you better calculate 5-6 hours there. Otherwise, you need to rush & have to be extremely lucky to see all in 2-3 hours
Simge Uran — Google review
Beautiful experience. Better than what I expected. So many different types of birds. Including storks that come and go as they please. Was super impressed with the Andean Condor. Loved feeding the lorikeets and some other colorful birds. Enjoyed seeing a sloth moving around and the butterflies. Really enjoyed the rainforest section while it was raining outside. 4 stars because I was concerned about the smaller size of some aviaries. And I witnessed a rather rough catching of a bird in a cage. But I’m not an expert so I may be wrong.
Modern museum & conservation center for German tanks & military vehicles, plus weaponry exhibits.

What an amazing collection of WW2
Tanks. A real eye opening education into the strong character required to operate these claustrophobic steel monsters. We were fortunate enough to hear some tanks engines being fired up.The noise is deafening. You also do not realise the size of a King Tiger until you stand next to it.I had the opportunity to sit in several examples.Tight space, not for the faint hearted .I feel privileged to see and learn about these things most people have never experienced

Featuring one of the largest collections of tanks, the museum is both fun and educational!
They feature many different tanks from different eras, and can answer most tank related question from memory.
Torstein Nevels — Google review
Very good exhibition of most of the German tanks through times. Impressive and well worth a visit
Today the electronic payment system was down so remember to bring cash
Tina Hollner — Google review
There are more tanks and other vehicles than I thought. I took over 200 pictures. Every vehicle has a little info board with it and sometimes also a video, which gives you a bit of general information in german and english.
One of the tanks outside can be entered in the commander's seat or whichever seat that was, not too much to see but it's definitely a nice experience overall, took us 4 hours but it definitely takes less time when you're only reading some of the information provided.

A very beautiful visit to a great part of history, amazing!
The museum grounds are full of interesting exhibits. The visit took us about 2 hours, but I think 3 hours would be ideal.

If you are interested in tank history or WWII & WWII, this is an outstandingly curated museum. It’s partially translated in English so you will want Google translate app available although I understand they will soon have English audio tours available. It’s and easy 2-train trip from Hamburg (via Uelzen) and we walked the 18 minutes from the train to the museum.

Well worth a visit if you’re interested in history or technology. The evolution of tanks through the 20th century, the reason specific models were conceived, and the stories of the men who operated them is truly awe inspiring

One of best collections ever arranged in one place. II WW is so solid and nearly nothing is missing from entire tanks sellection. Only small misnu for how cool motorbikes are shown, at the very end poor old boys place against wall. Could be better done.

Great place if you are interested in tanks and the history of armoured warfare. If you are staying in Hamburg it's only an hour away by road.
George Wood — Google review
Having visited the area before but not made it to the museum. I was thrilled to finally get to visit. The price for entry was reasonable especially on the basis of the wide array of tanks to view. There were tanks from the First World War through to modern times and from many countries. Also, bikes, cars and armoured vehicles. A real treat and very pleased to have visited.

The museum is very interesting. There is a lot of technique that one should see.

Fantastic museum with a great selection of tanks. The information boards are in German and English and are superb. Additional historic information is given to specific historic events. Informative pictures in part showing the cruelty of war are also provided. All in all this is for sure on of the best museums I have ever been!

Very very good place to visit if you like tanks!
Stopped here on our way from Sweden to Stuttgart and it was well worth every penny.
And it costed us 10€ per person, which is very cheap considering the amount of vehicles and history in here.
Will return again if I am ever passing by!
Gandalf — Google review
Lots to see for all that enjoy looking at armoured vehicles through the ages.
There is a large selection of vehicles, though not all of the descriptions are in English, but this should not deter you from visiting.
There are tour guides available that may accommodate other nationalities that don't speak fluent German, but you should check in advance.
Although the shop and cafeteria is small, it serves the purpose of selling refreshments and gifts.
Depending on how quickly you want to visit I would give 1-2 hours to see all the exhibits.

Modern open-air plaza housing factory outlet stores from well-known brands, plus a handful of cafes.
Limited stores, but most of the stores have good collections and not too crowded . So you got enough time to choose 😊. Mobile internet doesn’t work as the network signal too bad or none sometimes. I guess they will try to improve this.
Enough parking space for cars 🚘 bike 🏍️ bike 🚲

My visit to the designer outlet in Soltau left me feeling disappointed and underwhelmed. While the promises made about the shopping experience were exciting, the reality fell short. The collections available were largely outdated and last season's items, which was disappointing. Additionally, the prices often proved to be less than feasible, making it difficult to find true value for money. Overall, I was left with a sense of unmet expectations and would caution others who are seeking a worthwhile designer shopping experience to consider alternative options.

Spa treatments at a fitness center with a cafe, tube slides, a heated outdoor pool & saunas.
Such a beautiful sauna space. Inside and outside. Make sure you also get into the salt grotto. It was such a wonderful experience. Thanks a million.
Kristin Goetz — Google review
Great place to enjoy a day. Salt swimming pools are incredibly warm and pleasant, swimming pool is a bit small for a crowded day but perfect for a normal weekday. Variety of saunas is wonderful, different temperature from 65 to 95 degrees will dins its customer. Great in any season. Worth every cent

Nice place, good facilities. Standard swimmingpools. Good warm water area.
bennie kopatz — Google review
In general the place looks nice, not overcrowded or busy. There are different pools and sauna. But the water is cold. In the website it says it is 30 degrees but in the building the temperature is not showed. Inside is warm but the water in the pools is cold in general. Also, the pool outside is not working. I don’t know if it’s because of the energy crisis in Germany but I don’t think the water is suitable for swimming in winter time (especially for children). The food was good and not expensive. The staff is friendly and very nice. I don’t think I will visit again because I came for swimming but left because it was not warm and it is supposed to be a Therme. I come from the crown of the spa - Velingrad in Bulgaria and that it is why I had higher expectations. Unfortunately they were not met and I was disappointed.

Great place for spa and sauna, pool, swimming. Thermal bath could be warmer, 55 or more. I felt it cold. Sauna place had 6 different rooms and cold water pools. Excellent sauna facility. I enjoyed my stay there
Ricardo Hein — Google review
My second visit here, but it is safe to say I have been to much better thermespas. The lack of a warm pool (within the spa area) or a jacuzzi is disappointing. I'm not sure if the whirlpool was kept off due to the energy crisis in Germany?
Great choice of Saunas however, unfortunately missed the Aufguss.

Really nice place, everything is new and clean. Swimming pool is not very big, I suggest going on less frequented hours if you want to swim. During normal opening hours there is just one lane reserved for swimming.
Instructions for tourists like me, so you won't get any annoyed receptionist look: you are given a wristwatch shaped chip that you scan at the different areas entry point. It is used for lockers, too. You'll then pay at checkout for the areas and time you stayed in. Quite convenient, I must say.
Marco Bergamini — Google review
The swimming pool is normal, the spa area is excellent! A variety of saunas both interior and exterior, and a good size Turkish bath.
Worth it for that!
Ricardo Mota — Google review
I was very pleased with this "Spa". The parking lot is big and not far from thr actual entrance. It has a little store with towels and bathing suits for people who don't have one, but they are a big expensive in my opinion. The prices are OK, is worth the money. The best part is going to the outside pool at night with a very cold weather, it's a fantastic experience.
Thrill & family rides in amusement park with themed areas, plus huge, wooden roller coaster.
Fantastic experience just amazing time to spend a day there. After pandemic this amusement park is now open to public and masks are not compulsory but recommended. There is attraction for all ages. The adventure rides are very well designed and safety seats on each one is very firm and secure so one need not panic when seated inside any of those rides. Ticket prices are reasonable and you also get and yearly pass if one is interested.
Overall it's a very good location to spend a day which is less than an hour drive from Hamburg.

I really want to give a five star. One star minus is simply because it’s not enough time for a big amusement park like this. 6 o’clock in the evening is too early to close! Ideally 10. Maybe 8? Otherwise it’s a perfect family attraction. We had a five year boy with us and we didn’t take a break except lunch and an ice cream. Still we didn’t have time for everything we wanted to do. Please if possible in the future extend the opening hours. Thank you!

Great amusement park for the whole family. Tickets and parking has to be bought online in advance! We did a lot of the regular rides, 'cause our kids are 5 and 8, scared of roller coasters. Bring drinks and food! Waiting times were fine. We loved the show 'Dragon eye and swords' - amazing!!
Only 4 stars because it is a lot of money for a family if 4.

It was fun and interesting. Despite the fact that without a car it is very difficult to get there. The park is large, there are rides for every taste and for all ages. We got unforgettable impressions from the day spent in Hiede park.

Cute park and one really great roller coaster. The wooden roller coaster was the best. All others were rather short and didn't meet my expectations. Still happy that we visited, it's a great park, just doesn't compare to Europapark or American theme parks. If you lower your expectations, you'll have a great time.
Mostly, it bothered me that the rides were so incredibly short, most were about one minute or less. Still, as I said, great park for a day trip or family trip, just don't compare it with the big parks or rides elsewhere.

Best amusement park that I've seen so far. Many playground equipments with different levels for children, family, youths ... Everything is organized and tidy. Just have in mind in thrilled category, you need to wait around 30-60 minutes in line per equipment. So better to plan and be there from morning and opening time to enjoy most of equipments

Very nice and clean amusement park. Also the cabins in holiday camp was clean and easy to access. Very huge parking space with lots of signs and gates.
We enjoyed two days trip there and will absolutely go there again.
I do recommend here for every one with a child or who love some excitements.

I spent a full day trying out all the rides and really enjoy all, but toxic garden.
There is many options for kids above the age of 12 years (and above 140cm) for smaller children it is a bit restricted, bit there are still a few fun rides.
My favourite are
1. Scream free fall tower.
2. Krake (Roller coaster) good adrenaline rush even if a bit short.
2.flug der dämonen
3. Colossus
4. Desert race
For smaller kids
1. Wildwasserbahn
2. Indie-blitz

Amazing experience
We went with 2 girls , 3 and 7 years old
The 7 (120cm) had a lot of things to do.
Also, the 3 years old enjoyed all the papa experience.
We watched 2 shows, and we loved it. It was amazing.

The main basins are only 32 degrees. Too cold to be called a thermal bath. There is another with 35 degrees. This is ok. Quite a lot people today. But it is calm. They know how to behave. Much nicer than in Hamburg.

Very strange and nationalistic visitors! It was three cases! Will never come back anymore! It is first time after 7 years of many visits of different spa-centers in Germany! It is unacceptable!
P.S.: I still can't forget the humiliation I experienced several times! And also the indifference among the others! Only one local later apologised for those people because of his high upbringing. You should keep a clearer eye on such incidents and respond immediately next time. No one equated you with them. And I also dislike the threatening coercion in your comment. It is unacceptable!

Average overall in quality and price. We drove quite a way and probably won’t go again as we have the same or better around our house.
Yoga stations, sensory gardens & barefoot walking on natural surfaces like grass, pebbles or mud.
This park is definitely worth your attention, not only you will feel the nature as close as possible, but you will also get to know the human impact on it (nature). Educational caves are presented in such a way that they will interest both children and adults. Great place to spend all day, but if you are only interested in a barefoot trail you will spend around 2 hours and will walk about 5km.

This is the first time I've been to a park like this and it is definitely a wonderful and unique experience. We went there as a big family with little kids and their grandparents and it was fun for all of us.
The have a variety of experiences for your feet here including different textures and obstacles. All of us had a lot of fun.
It is a very well made place with 3 different path options to choose from. You can choose the long, medium or short route depending on the time available to you. You can leave your slippers or shoes at the start of the park in the lockers and at the end you can wash and scrub your feet clean in the same area before you wear your footwear again.

Great place to visit for a couple of hours.
We had kids age 1,5, 5 and 6 that needed to burn off some energy as we were driving a lot that day. This place was the perfect stop for that.
We came a day after much rain and it was very muddy and more wet than it should be, therefore the 4 stars. Shouldn't have been charged full price for that experience.
The German Salt Museum is a unique and intriguing venue that showcases exhibits and displays outlining the 1,000-year history of salt-mining in the city. It features a small yet amazing museum with an audio-guide available in both English and German, providing visitors with interesting insights into the industry. The museum shop offers a wide range of salt products for purchase along with posters and postcards depicting Lubeck at affordable prices. Anyone visiting Luneburg should definitely consider exploring this fascinating museum.
Interesting place, absolutely recommend if in Lüneburg.

Surprisingly, I had a wonderful time touring the Salt Museum. They offer an audio tour in English for 1€, alternatively you can borrow a binder of translations of the exhibit for free. The space is much larger (and deeper) than expected and gives you a thorough history of Lüneburg and its role in the middle ages. Loved the maps and models of the original town layout and interactive models of the saltworks. As a solo traveling 30 yr old, I highly recommend it if you like history and salt :)

Salt salt and salt! Amazing small-ish museum. The audio-guide (in English and German) was only €1 and it was quite interesting. The museum shop had so much salt! Also, the posters of Lübeck was only 30 cents! There were also some cool postcards (6 for 50 cents). It was great!

The experience overall was pretty nice. The history was pretty interesting, and I personally loved the fact that there are little fountains that let people taste the water like it was back in the day. The stuff was very friendly, but we got a little confused with the directions. We asked multiple times where the start was, and we never got a clear answer. Long story short, we started from the end, and we finished at the start. The ticket costs 8€ and I think it was 4€ plus if you want to have the little device that explains everything during the experience. It was pretty good for 1 time but not a must, in my opinion.

The Lüneburg Water Tower is an ancient structure that provides magnificent scenic views and conducts guided tours, exhibits, and musical events. This historical tower is an ideal spot for tourists to explore the rich cultural heritage of the city. It offers a unique opportunity to witness the fascinating architecture of the past while enjoying various forms of art and entertainment. Visitors can indulge in a range of experiences at this remarkable landmark, from educational tours to lively music performances.
The Lüneburg Town Hall is a historic building with medieval origins and a baroque-era facade. Visitors can take tours of its ornate courtrooms and halls. The town hall is situated about a 20-minute walk from the train station and is easily accessible for pedestrians. It boasts a superb old town area that is perfect for families looking to have fun. Additionally, there is an information office where tourists can purchase souvenirs and obtain maps of the surrounding area.

Unlike many other North German Town Halls which are mostly built in Gothic style in traditional red brick, this one in a charming town of Luneburg differs.

Lüneburg's town hall is a storyteller, administrative seat, landmark and gem all in one. With its 259 rooms, it is one of the most outstanding architectural monuments in northern Germany and the largest medieval town hall in the north. The construction of our town hall began around 1230 and was repeatedly rebuilt and expanded over the centuries. Thanks to its 700-year building history, traces from various epochs have been left throughout the town hall: Gothic and Renaissance court arbor, prince's hall, old archive, chancellery and mayor's chamber. Masterful woodwork adorns the large council chamber, which is one of the largest Renaissance halls in Germany. The Hall of Homage and the market facade date from the Baroque period. In the tower there is a clockwork with chimes made of Meissen porcelain.
The town hall is still actively used as the seat of the administration of the city of Lüneburg. However, the most beautiful rooms are open for you to visit as part of a guided tour.

If you come Lüneburg, then make sure to take the guided tour of the City Hall. The city hall is supposed to be one of the most beautiful city halls in Germany, which was as the city itself was luckily was not destroyed during the war. If you come on a Saturday, you cN combine the visit of the market right outside the city hall, with a guided tour. We had the most entertaining German lady, who could tell way more than what she was able to tell us in this one hour tour.

Very nice building, unfortunately was partly hidden because of reconstruction works on the square in front of it.
The ancient dockside crane, which has been in operation for hundreds of years, was originally used to lift a variety of valuable items including salt and firewood. The city's charming ambiance and well-preserved architecture make it worth visiting. Although the area can become congested at times, it remains a great place to stroll around, especially on sunny days.
The old crane is Lüneburg’s secret landmark. A crane on the Illmenau is mentioned for the first time in 1346. Two wooden carrying wheels – with which the crane once lightened heavy loads - are hidden inside this still fully functioning industrial memorial. When Lüneburg was connected to the railway network in 1846, the crane became redundant. Today this structurally engineered memorial is very close to the heart of Lüneburg’s inhabitants and lovingly tended.
For more than 2,500 years, heavy loads were being lifted with the help of carrying wheels. Lüneburg’s crane was re-built in 1797 according to medieval plans. Time and again it is said that the hard work inside the crane was conducted by convicts. But this demanding work was actually done by skilled workers who were employed as stevedores at the warehouse on the opposite side.
You can only get inside the crane when taking one of the guided tours of the city.

According to sources, the Old Crane (formerly Krahn) is a historic harbor crane in the old port of Ilmenau in Lüneburg. Built in 1797 and one of the most powerful cranes in northern Germany at the time, the crane still characterizes the image of the Wasserviertel today and is considered one of the city's landmarks.

The crane, which was built in 1797 and was one of the most powerful in northern Germany at the time, still characterizes the image of the Wasserviertel today and is regarded as a landmark. A short trip to Lüneburg is the natural consequence after visiting Lübeck. The salt that made Lübeck rich actually came from Lüneburg! At the former harbor in the water district (Wasserviertel), you'll find this "Old Crane," a (secret) symbol of Lüneburg. This is where the precious salt ("white gold") was shipped, bringing great wealth to the city during the time of the Hanseatic League. In the Middle Ages, the crane was an important tool for lifting heavy loads, especially salt bags, onto ships or onto land—thus allowing the salt to be transported further to Lübeck through the Stecknitz Canal. Two old ships can still be seen there. And there are plenty of lovely Cafés around the square - a true tourist magnet! 🤩

From the moment you step foot into the park, you're greeted by lush greenery and the serene sounds of nature. The park's layout is well-designed, with clearly marked trails that guide you through various habitats, including forests, meadows, and ponds.
One of the highlights of the park is the opportunity to observe native wildlife up close. From majestic deer roaming freely to adorable wild boars foraging in their natural habitat, every encounter feels like a privilege. The park's commitment to conservation and animal welfare is evident in the spacious enclosures and the respectful distance maintained between visitors and the animals.
For families, the park provides ample opportunities for relaxation and recreation. Picnic areas scattered throughout the park invite visitors to enjoy a leisurely lunch surrounded by nature, while playgrounds offer children the chance to burn off energy between wildlife sightings.

A very nice zoological park. Lots of animals to feed and enjoy. Do be careful when walking through the deer paddock. If you stop in one spot don't feed the deer, they try to chew on your clothes! No damage was done and we had a good laugh, but our clothes went straight into the washing machine when we returned home.

I find it cute that many animals are tagged with their names and year of birth :). The staff is super nice and park keepers are helpful. Food in the restaurant is delicious (, they are also generous about giving extra Mayo and ketchup).

This concentration camp became a prison after WWII, before becoming an exhibition centre. Therefore, there aren't many original features of the camp which remain. There is a lot of learning material available in the exhibition space, with photos and information. But the place itself is quiet, somber, and very respectful of its history.

One of the most beautiful poet I have ever been. Its is so lively, you can see tons of containers, cruise ships. If you are going to Germany, make sure to add hamburg harbour in your to do list and also, have a cruise tour. Its really worth trying.

there was a festival at the day I arrived, so it was really crowded, full of people everywhere, but after that it was so peaceful there, the air was fresh and the water was clean, it was just so nice to sit there and enjoy the sunshine, both day and night views were so beautiful!! Hamburg is definitely one of my favorite places in Europe!

The port of Hamburg is a very beautiful port and there are many places to eat, drink and, first of all, a very beautiful There is also a popular hotspot when the sun goes down there is a certain horizon where the sun goes down and you can take some really great pictures there.

The port is just huge! We took a tour on a boat for 20€ in order to admire the majesty of the cranes and the huge ships parked on the deck being loaded by containers. There are so many things to see but you need a guide to get the full experience

It was nice visiting and waling alongside the water.
The Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, in the heart of Hamburg's trendy Grasbrook district, is one of the world's most impressive concert halls. Opened in 2017, its base consists of a 1960s-era cocoa warehouse built from red brick, above which rise twenty sleek stories of curved glass. The hall has been praised for its exceptional acoustics, and regularly hosts world-class concerts by superstar musicians.
Beautiful building, you take a tour of the deck for free. Amazing view from the deck, best view of Hamburg in my opinion!
Definitely worth a visit. If you want to go to a concert you need to book early (2 weeks) tickets are sold out quickly.
Very accessible by car (big parking lot).

It is an amazing building full of architecture, imagination, vision, hard work, and engineering. Inside and out is amazing. The view is spectacular. Inside is like something completely modern, futuristic, I felt like if I was in a Big Space Chip. The Sound OMG! BREATHTAKING!

In the historic and famous harbour area of the Hamburg, this building offers unique look to the visitors sailing in the river and watching from decks and more from its 8 th floor viewing galleries.
Overlooking the harbour from west and south sides, you will have breathtaking views of the shining waters and the boats.
The north and east sides give the city’s century old buildings still standing strong and the canals.
The central hall has curved crafted glass doors which are very unique.
We visited it on when the harbour was celebrating its hundred years.
It has a clean WC in the 7th floor.

A work of art to see the architecture is very beautiful.
If you you drive directly to the Elbphilharmonie and from the water you have an unobstructed view,
It's a good thing that visiting the plaza is free. But not inside.
Aakash Christ — Google review
You can visit the building for free, you just need to go to one of the offices outside to get a free entrance ticket. The building's architecture is amazing and you have a great view over Hamburg and its harbour. There is also the possibility to drink and eat and have a great panoramic view. Be aware that it is a very crowded place with hundreds of people visiting it in the same time. Enjoy!

Beautiful architecture. A must visit place in Hamburg. Do take tickets downstairs it's for free (atleast for now) and go up with escalators. One of the coolest escalators I saw. Nice view of ships and jetty from the top. The top view of churches adds to the beautiful view from here. Have a coffee and enjoy the scenery.
PS:
The tickets to see concert hall are different.

Since I saw a documentary few years ago on this building and how was great engineering involved to build it up, it was on my “must visit” list.
So, it was natural that I visited it first thing when I went to Hamburg.
There is a ticket counter where you can get free tickets to get to the terrace of this building. It’s kind of building that you have to see in person to admire it. If you visit it plz see the documentary on how it was built to respect the effects that went into building it. It’s a great landmark that makes Hamburg proud.

A must see if you visit Hamburg. Its nice to look at from the outside, but also the inside has much to offer. The escalator is a masterpiece, the platform for public visit is beautiful and the hotel rooms, the Hotel itself and the concert hall are all a architectural masterpiece as well.
Merlin — Google review
It has a great view and great acoustics. When you go up to the terrace, Hamburg is at your feet. It is almost the meeting point of the rivers coming from all over the city.
You can also see the liveliness of the port and shipyard around.
Garry Borkey — Google review
When in Hamburg the Elbphilarmonie is a major highlight. Firstly because of the extraordinary architecture of the building, set on an island of the river in an area of recovered storage houses and port infrastructure. Then the concert hall itself, a marvel of acoustics. The stage is surrounded by public so it's possible to see the orchestra from all points of view. All the seats have great visibility of the stage.
Paolo Bartolozzi — Google review
You need to get a ticket to go on the curved escalator but it’s for free. I liked this place and the view from the balcony. They have a souvenir shop with some nice gadgets. The surrounding area is pretty calm as well.

I flew here from Belgium to hear Joshua Bell perform the Tchaikovsky violin concerto and Mahler symphony 5. It's a concert-going experience that I've never expected to have in my life. The building is magnificent both inside and outside. The view from the plaza makes it very worth it to arrive one hour early just to enjoy all the lights of the city & harbour as well as the calming sight of the water. The acoustic of the grand hall makes me feel like my previous classical concerts were a bit... muddled? Every sound in the hall was clear, I think it definitely amplified the performance perfectly. Joshua was... a beast. Since every sound can be heard so clearly I truly admire how he was able to articulate the music so beautifully and accurately from the beginning to the end. I'm glad I travelled a long way for this live classical music experience...

One of the iconic and uniquely styled Building in Hamburg. We just visited the viewing deck/floor. While you are expected to buy a ticket but you don't pay anything. The view is good, you can spend maybe 20-30 mins here. Nothing great apart from that.

A must visit place in Hamburg, and I would suggest you take a guided tour.
Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures in most of the areas due to their policies however it is completely worth it.
The amount of attention to the architectural details, the aesthetic, the sound engineering that went into this building is simply astonishing.
We were a group of 20+and the guide was more than helpful and accommodating, however be prepared for a lot of walking and stairs 😅
The views you can see from the inside are amazing, even though the weather was not friendly during our visit.

Great Hall with excellent acoustics. Best for music that needs no or little amplification. The plaza, which can be visited separately for a small fee is also highly recommended. Went there for the Hafengeburtstag and had an excellent view of the fireworks.

A fabulous handsomely styled construction sitting proudly on the harbourside. Positioned perfectly. Great to explore the place and look at the expansive views. And great for kids to run around also. They also have a great cafe and do a fabulous cup of hot chocolate.

Unique building the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, must see when you are there. The windows are not the same as the others.
We have to get the ticket at the entrance to go in and visit, but we don't have to pay for it, so it's still free.

The world's largest miniature railroad, Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany, is a fascinating place to visit with its many details and scenes from different parts of the world. The exhibits are carefully detailed and often include special effects such as fire trucks putting out fires or skiers descending the Swiss mountain.
Absolutely amazing! Good for both kids and adults to visit. The level of detail required to create these structures must have taken countless hours. You can take all the time you need here to admire the intricacies.
After you gain entry, head up to the top floor and start your journey! You'll be able to experience both day and night scenes which will be simulated periodically. More cities are in development so definitely visit again next time.

Fantastic mini land!
The level of detail and small surprises everywhere is astounding!
You could definitely spend a whole day and just discover new things.
You can even have a look at their workshop where they paint and assemble everything.
Be sure to buy tickets and book well in advance because it's a hot spot in Hamburg with many visitors.
Well worth a visit.

I had an unforgettable visit to Miniature Wunderland in Hamburg last weekend! This place offers a truly unique experience with meticulously detailed miniatures representing various cities worldwide, predominantly European ones. The highlight for me was the intricate train networks and the miniature airport with planes taking off and landing. It was a bit crowded, but the 20 euro adult ticket was worth every penny. The presence of miniature shops, a food court, and restroom facilities made the visit even more convenient. Miniature Wunderland is a must-see attraction for anyone in Hamburg!

Super cool! you could spend the whole day here and still not have seen everything. The staff are very friendly and the bistro is a nice place to rest. You can tell a lot of hard work and creativity went into the design of all the exhibits and there are hidden gems everywhere, including trains running right below your feet!

This place is truly a marvel, even if you're not a model making fan.
All the models are crafted with exceptional detail and they're full of buttons for the whole visiting experience to turn from passive to interactive at will.
On the other side, the place feels very touristy, with souvenir shops packed with unrelated stuff, and a "restaurant" too. Too much people can ruin your experience, and a Saturday evening would not be the perfect day to be there.
Mattia — Google review
Such an extraordinary experience! I'm amazed 👏🏻. Every detail, every city, everything is just perfect. I was not expecting so much from this place and was absolutely positively surprised. Great job! Honestly, I think adults enjoy more than kids, as we can appreciate more the details... but it is a nice place for all ages. It is a must in Hamburg for sure! Better to buy the tickets in advance.

Just wow !!! It's an amazing museum. So much to see and be amazed. We spent around 4 hours seeing all the models. The best was the airport and airplane model. It's wonderful place to get kids and even the old ones enjoy the museum. There are many different models. Buying tickets in advance is highly recommended. There is a restaurant as well in the museum. Breakfast and lunch options were good. I recommend booking tickets for the morning slot so that you have enough time to explore the whole museum.

Spent 3,5 hours in the museum and planning to go again. Super interesting, there are many cute and funny episodes.
At the evening there were very many people.
Highly recommend to take a camera with good zoom.

Parking is very restrictive in this area so you are better parking away and walking to the place. The cafe served really nice food and all the staff were polite. The models themselves were very impressive especially with how they interlink. The railway control room is also very impressive.

Cost 20.50 for an adult ticket.
A great place to spend a couple of hours. Be amazed by the displays.
There is a simulation of day and night views of all the displays.
The airport seems to be the most popular. I had a wonderful visit.
There is a canteen within the museum. So one can rest and have a bite before continuing.

Nice spot. It took us around 2 hours to see the whole thing. The cost is 20 euro per person, which is interesting to see but, in my opinion, not a must. We went on Sunday, and it was packed it was hard to get near to the expositions to look closely
Andrea Caballero — Google review
Simply amazing! Was a fun experience. The amount of details is crazy. Also, the whole exhibition is interactive so you’ll get engaged as soon as you start your visit. I’d recommend getting the tickets beforehand because the place gets crowded. It has interesting exhibitions already but they’ll add more soon and I bet it’ll be just as great. You can easily spend 3 hours there. And you’ll enjoy it! They offer guided tours so you can see everything from a different perspective.

I had high expectations.
Thought the models would be larger. They are h0 scale, so 1:87
The models and figures are mind blowing.
The detailed models of structures and landscapes around the world are magnificent. By gazing at the tremendous level of detail one gets a true sense of the scale of human activity on earth. The scale and vastness of our environmental impact.
One could spend all day there.
Amazzzing.
Will definitely go back.

Absolutely astonishing, there’s a million adjectives I could say about this place and I can’t seem to find a word for this masterpiece. The first sections were gorgeous the rooms are air-conditioned and that but also the details of every single man in the huge miniature model of Hamburg,Switzerland,Austria and the alps is living. I can visually guess that about 89 percent of all models is movable. Every aspect of the model including underground and above in the sky is shown in full detail. The posters for example are always made in local languages going with the theme.
The most outstanding part for me was the airport (since I am a huge avgeek myself) the details as I can see is stringent to a almost horrible level. The airplanes are just so lively as if they were real. Almost every model plane can taxi by itself and a lot of them can even takeoff and land by them self even with features such as gear-tilt included. There’s also the airbus beluga, Junker 52, Boeing 777-300 ER etc.
I would say that the this place is really really really worth your visit because you can feel the heart of the builders, you can feel that they build for the fun, not for the money!
Please, if you every happened to read this. Go to Hamburg and visit this place. Bucket-list worthy!

Every time I am in Hamburg I visit this place, and it never fails to impress me. There are always some new details I get go notice, or completely new set-ups to explore (like South America this time, Monaco is now work in progress). Make sure to buy the ticket in advance and there is almost no waiting time. Also, make sure to devote enough time, as you can easily spend here whole day! ✨

Great museum! We spent over 5 hours on our visit, and it felt short. The model trains, cars, boats, and airplanes are all fantastic, and the attention to detail is second to none. All the little easter eggs are fun to find! Highly recommend!
P G — Google review
It’s beautiful, it’s mesmerizing, you’d have to spend at least two full days there to discover most of the little details. I’ve been here at least 8 times, and I keep finding new things every single time. However, the place is always completely filled with people, no matter what day it is. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing your tickets online at least one week before, to have a chance at getting in at a normal time. Unless of course you want to stand in a queue for 5 hours, not gonna judge that.

Amazing 🤩 has been on my bucket list for many many years, I did 2 back stage tours. In total I spent about 10 hours here! And I'm sure there were lots of little details I still didn't see. The food in the diner is very reasonably priced and is large servings!
Overall very satisfied. This place is amazing.

Such an AMAZING place! They even had a control center. Was so mesmerized by the amount of detail they put in all the cities. The airport with all the planes taking off and everything else happening there made it feel like it was connected to a real airport. The historic dioramas were really interesting too - being able to see how things changed over time. Definitely had a great time here and will be back again next time.

We went here as a family and had a very enjoyable time. I recommend you schedule a whole day here. We spent 5 hours here. There are plenty of different countries on view including Germany,Italy, America and Switzerland. If you look closely there are many hidden jokes like the millennium falcon at the airport and Batman and Robin scaling one of the buildings. We also did the virtual reality part of the tour which was amazing. You can also have a 3D picture taken which you can have as a plastic figure. Loved it.

Incredible place with extremely detailed models. The are some awesome experiences there too, like shrink into wonderland were you where a VR headset and you can pretend your in the models. There is a cafeteria with decent food especially for a museum. The gift shop is quite nice and reasonably priced. I would recommend buying tickets in advance as buying at the museum can take awhile, it is conveniently located in the center of Hamburg. The airport and trains are just beautiful, if you took a zoomed in picture someone would have no idea it was a model. Even the hall between sections has some lovely miniature landscapes, and a great view.

Completely, totally and utterly brilliant in every way. Spent over 6 hours there and only saw one of the two main floors. Exceptionally good value. Excellent proper food in the bistro - lots of seats and sockets to recharge phones etc. Again, great value. All facilities excellent. The whole place is just superb - can't fault it in any way. Best to book ahead - and try to go as early as possible.

We started exploring at 8 a.m., and we were there until after 5 p.m!
It's a totally different experience compared to anything else, and if you have a passion for details and digging into them, you're gonna love it!
Suggestions for the best experience:
1. Charged Phones
2. Bottle of Water
3. Eat good breakfast, so you're full for the day
4. Wear comfortable shoes
5. Bring some nuts with you so you don't have to waste for lunch
6. Take your glasses if you have trouble seeing tint things in distance :)
7. Patience and passion ❤️

Great experience!! Wish we had known how big and nice it was, we would have given ourselves more time. We arrive 23:30, since those were the only tickets available. Pls book well in advance to get a better time! Even at 23:30 it was still amazing. Just wish we had more time, there was so much to see and do. They had buttons for many of the things where something would happen. Also the light changes in intervals from daylight to nighttime and some of the buttons only work in nighttime. Super cool! If ever we’re in Hamburg again, we would definitely go for either half a day or the whole day.

Fabulous place to visit! Image a warehouse FULL of train sets, over multiple floors and now add cars, trucks, planes, not only trains. Amazing! There’s a “night time” every 15 minutes or so where all the lights go down it looks stunning.
The level of detail here is unreal, so many hours have gone into creating this.
The gift shop is also very good, which is a nice change from most tourist attractions.

A must see when in Hamburg, completely worth it.
I recommend you buy tickets 2 days in advance to avoid the waiting queue which can be even 2h long.
It was kind of crowded however we managed to go trough it all, make sure you grab a map at the entrance.
They have a setup where it turns to "night time" and some of the exhibits look better during that short time window.
The airport exhibit was my favorite so pay attention to the landing and take off screen if you are looking for a particular model to see it in action.
Make sure to visit the souvenir shop before you exit as they always have discounts on models.
The entire visit may take arround 3h, even more.

The place was quite huge and so detail! Great place to go for diorama fans & those with children, you could truly spend hours here. My family and I spent about 4 hours, including shopping time.
The only flaw was it was charged €0.50 for cloakroom per item (we didn’t use this) and there were no info about the locker room which was free. But overall was enjoyable and could be considered when you plan to visit Hamburg.

The highlight of this trip is not the viewpoint but the tunnel itself. The viewpoint to Elbe tiver has great scenery though.

In Hamburg, Germany lies the world's biggest warehouse district called Speicherstadt. The structures in this area are built on top of oak logs that serve as their foundation. This specific warehouse district was constructed between 1883 and 1927 and is located within the HafenCity quarter of Hamburg's port.

The Baroque Lutheran church of St. Michael is one of the most famous churches in Hamburg, and as such, it is home to some of the city's most important attractions. Spanning almost two centuries, from the 1750s up until the 1770s, its architects attempted to fuse the grandeur and movement of Catholic Baroque with Protestant simplicity.
Cool church with a rich interior and, as odd as it sounds, exciting music! We didn't go up the platform for the view since went up the tower of another church, but even so it was worth the visit. Very walkable from the city center.
Marissa Horst — Google review
We visited the church after the observation deck but almost as an afterthought. We didn't go into the crypts sadly but the church was superb. It is relatively modern (just over a hundred years old) and the inside is bright and airy.
We spent about twenty minutes listening to the organ recitals and it was lovely to see a church that is actually in use, rather than being just a museum. The crypts were €6 or an extra €2 if you do the tower trip.
Marcus Hurley — Google review
Of all the churches we visited when in Germany (at least 10), this one tended to have much more ambient noise. Not sure if it's because of the number of people or the type of ceilings (that reflected sound), but the interior was pleasant. The tower is a decent climb, though there is a elevator if one so chooses. It can be very windy up top, so hold on to your hats or other loose clothing. There are a few good photo spots - so walk around to find your favorite.
Lisa Kennedy — Google review
is one of Hamburg's five Lutheran main churches and one of the most famous churches in the city. St. Michaelis is considered to be one of the finest Hanseatic Protestant baroque churches. It is dedicated to the Archangel Michael. A large bronze statue, standing above the portal of the church shows the archangel conquering the devil. The 132-meter high Baroque spire totally covered with copper is a prominent feature of Hamburg's skyline and has always been a landfall mark for ships sailing up the river Elbe. The composer and pianist Johannes Brahms was baptized on May 26, 1833 in this church. Offering 2,500 seats, the Michel is the largest church in Hamburg. The church has five organs including a Marcussen organ and a large Steinmeyer organ. The altar is 20 meters tall and was built from costly marble in 1910

A very impressive church with an extraordinary sacred space and unique gallery. Clear, sober white Protestant design, organ and altar characterize the overall impression. The “climb” to the tower is possible by stairs or lift. The view is impressive, the most beautiful gray sky and a little haze almost make a C.D. Friedrich impression.
The €10 combined entry fee is justified. The shop has a lot of knick-knacks, so everyone will find something.

I haven’t gone to the top of the tower yet since it was raining and cold (so I don’t want to get wet), but the church itself already makes me feel content and relieved that I’ve decided to pay a visit.
Even more, the pianist were playing their piece! It makes the atmosphere even more thrilling and ethereal. I am amazed and it definitively managed to leave a huge memory in my heart! ❤️

Very nice church. Should definitely be visited if you are in Hamburg. From the outside, the Michel can be seen from afar. The church can be viewed from the inside on site. A driveway to the platform on the tower is highly recommended. The tickets are available in a shop next door - where there is also other merchandise. You have to take the first steps to the tower. You can then take an elevator to the platform or, if you are sporty, take the stairs. The view from the top is absolutely magnificent.
The magnificent City Hall, or Rathaus, located in the heart of Hamburg's Rathausmarkt is a vast neo-Renaissance structure adjacent to the Stock Exchange (Borse). Completed in 1897, the City Hall contains 647 rooms, many of which are open to the public for city's annual Long Night of Museums event.Notable features include the stunning painted ceiling in the Kaisersaal depicting German merchant shipping importance and it's opulent baroque style.
I took the tour in the Rathaus and I very like it. Unfortunately there was no possible to take it in English but the guide was very friendly and gave me the printed information in English.
Also, near to the Rathaus is located the Christmas marked with very delicious food.

It is one of my favorite places in Hamburg. The square where it is located, the lake, the buildings, everything is historical and in a magnificent atmosphere. it always has a different feeling in summer and winter, it is the favorite place of all tourists :) If you're going to feed the mantis and the ducks by the lake, don't forget to take something with you :) especially in summer, everyone gathers here to have a drink, it is a very lively area.

The majestic building. A true witness to the history and explains its grandeur.
It gives a thought what Hamburg was even centuries ago and what kind of city it was.
The gothic architecture, the central tower, the figurines speak a lot.
Inside also it’s no less. The high curved ceilings not missing the symmetry. The intact flooring, sober lighting highlighting all elements.
The place commands its respects by leaving the entire place the visitors.
We visited it in a working day but a festive day.

What a MAGNIFICENT building. It looks beautiful at any time of day, from every single angle. You can walk into the foyer for free and read up on the history of the building. HOWEVER, I would highly recommend catching a guided tour. We had a terrific time with our tour guide Patrick (English, 12pm, Friday, €5). It went over an hour long, and I learned so many interesting facts and laughed. so. much. Very enjoyable! Also very worth seeing all the different, lavishly decorated rooms.
A tour through the Rathaus was definitely a highlight of our trip.

Very nice tourist attraction. We were lucky to go visit during Eastern holiday so the area was not crowded but I bet it usually is packed with people. Interesting historic site and definitely worth a visit when in Hamburg.

Just wonderful. It was built in late 1800s and it took 11 years to build it. The tower is 112 meters tall, so you can see the tower in every point of the city. There are 20 scrulptures pf the kings. Furthermore, there is a fountain inner courtyard. If you don't see this building in Hamburg, never say that you visited Hamburg.

Stunning Building in the center of Hamburg. It makes for an amazing backdrop to the Christmas Market during the Holiday season. We really enjoyed our visit and highly commend this location for Christmas (and non Christmas) enjoyment.

"Absolutely stunning historical landmark! The Hamburg Rathaus is a masterpiece of architecture that takes you back in time. The intricate details and grandeur of the building are truly awe-inspiring. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking to admire remarkable craftsmanship, this is a must-visit spot in Hamburg. The square surrounding the Rathaus is lively and often hosts events, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Don't miss the chance to explore this iconic gem!"

Step back two hundred years to the grandeur of Hamburg, the preferred port for international trade and financial hub of Europe. This was the seat of parliament for the independent state of Hamburg where international banking was centered. Great sites, food carts and restaurants and high end shopping for the Louie Vuitton fans.

I loved this building. The square is big and welcoming and the building has a free entrance to an exhibition and do not miss going to the inner courtyard, where there is a very beautiful fountain. The building is very beautiful with so much details.

Really interesting and informative. The history of Hamburg and the town hall are explained on the guided tour.
Like so many palaces of recent centuries that we have seen elsewhere, the extravagance was obscene, where much of the population would have been living in poverty. Incredible building, sculptures, artworks and décor abound.
The Australian flavour added in 1897 was very unexpected.
Well worth a look.

I visited the Townhall upon many recommendations as a great tourist spot and I was not disappointed at all. The area outside the hall is filled with a lot of shops where you can buy souvenirs and things to remember the place with. Within the hall are beautiful edifices for your viewing pleasure and all looking very picturesque. I’ll definitely recommend!👍🏾

One of Hamburg's landmarks.
High level of attention to detail in the building itself.
There is an orthodox restaurant in the basement for everyone, including tourists.

Definitely a must to see!!! Iconic Hamburg city hall architecturally brilliant, emotionally poetic, like a fairytale palace. Definitely recommended to see from every angle and definitely walk inside or find to do something inside. There’s a square in front of it that you can find every thing or whatever you’re looking for. I felt in here like Liverpool I don’t know why it remembers me.
Located in the heart of Hamburg, Planten un Blomen is an expansive state park with a variety of plants from all over the world. The gardens are divided into tropics, subtropics, and plant sections including a greenhouse. There are pathways that lead through the park to different areas such as greenhouses, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll.
One of the most beautiful gardens I have been too. You want to peace of mind, rest with family, or just hang out with friends - then you will love Planten un Blomen. I couldn’t get enough of it. Really enjoyed sitting down and doing nothing.

This is not a normal park! This is heaven in my opinion. I can bet that you won’t get tired while walking through this iconic park. Each part of the park hast its own beauty. So try to see everything once you get there. Unfortunately due to energy saving the musical fountain does not work but still it has a lot place which makes it pleasant to visit it. Do not miss the videos that i took from the park.

A really beautiful park in the middle of Hamburg. You can see a lot of nature surrounded by tall buildings. It reminded me of Central Park in New York, US.
I stayed there for hours and still did not see everything. I visit during the spring, so a lot of different and colorful flowers could be seen. I really recommend the visit to this park.

Absolutely magical garden where you can really rest especially when temperatures run higher. Plenty of old trees, beautiful flowers and water birds. There is possibility to by drinks and snacks in small cafeterias located in the garden. They are running wonderful multimedia show each evening after sunset where colourfully lit water is dancing to the rythm of classical music! Strongly recommended place!

Lovely place with you guessed it... plants and flowers. Just a serene place for a walk. Highly recommend for any tourists who have 2 - 3 hours to kill. The water sports area with balloons is fun for kids, there are areas to sit down and have a nice coffee/ice cream on a hot sunny day. For me I was solo on the day so went to jungfersteig which was a 10 min bus ride away for an icecream by the lake.

Long-established animal park & aquarium, with a breeding program, a petting zoo & playgrounds.
A very good value for your money. Our children loved it. There are lots of different animals to see, a spectacular huge aquarium, crocodiles, rodents, birds flowers...etc. The toilets are clean and the food is also OK at the restaurant.

I really enjoyed the experience. If you're passionate about reptiles and all sorts of fish, then you're in for a treat. You'll even find the Goliath birdeater (although he was hidden and I couldn't find it) Lots of families with small kids too, lots of young and old couples alike.
Totally recommend it

Does not have much besides fish, like squids or other sea creatures.

A very nice tropical aquarium. Although there are not that many different species, the enclosures are very nicely furnished. We particularly liked the cinema-like seating area overlooking the large glass pane of a large pool. I hadn't seen that in any zoo before and it was very impressive.

Good zoo, animals clearly well looked after. Polite staff and good facilities. Close to the train station so it’s easy to access from all over Hamburg.

This was part of our visit to the zoo we decided to buy tickets for the aquarium aswell without much expectation but we were surprised by how much fun we had.
It's got a large outdoor area with birds and other animals before you go down to the aquarium which is very much educational and great for kids.
The ending was the winner with a huge cinema style glass with numerous different breeds of fish and other sea animals.
All in all a great visit and lots of fun to be had by all.

The place is very beautiful and well organized
The aquarium area is amazing
Most animals are active and moving
The best thing in this zoo is they don’t do shows
Animals act like they are in the wild
Clean bathrooms and several dining areas
The gardens are amazing for taking pictures
Highly recommended while in hamburg

I went on a rather cold, rainy day but despite that it was a nice experience.
There weren't many people around and no Kiosk was open because it's low season. The animals seem well taken care of;some In hibernation, relaxing, being fed and having a good ol' time . The Jurassic Park area is a thoughtful addition to the other animal enclosures..it invokes thoughts of adventure and what-ifs.
The Arctic 🐻❄️ area was good though the Polar bears were not relatively close enough to see them but far enough to enjoy the scenery.
Definitely a must see.
It takes just about 2hours to go round the animal zoo.

The first 1/3 of the trip was reptiles/insects/tropical animals and the like. Not really fish- related.
Once the actual "under water" experience started, it was quite nice, huge windows, fish had lots of space to swim around. Last part is amazing.
Downside is that it was quite short. If you are not interested in the non-fish"part, then the tour might take 30 min.

Beautiful place, especially during winter. The parks and huge natural areas around the castle are perfect for long, relaxing, near-silent walks.
