It was built together with the bridge by Murat II in 1443. Mosques built by Ottoman sultans are called sultan mosques. 20 to 30 acres of mosque, soup kitchen, caravanserai, madrasah, bakery, warehouse, boza house and candle shop built in the form of a social complex (olive oil is dyed red so that it does not interfere with foundation property and people do not eat it).
Murat II wore a loincloth around his waist and distributed food to the people, just as his grandfather Orhan Gazi did in the Iznik social complex.
Uzunköprülü İsmail Hakkı Balkas states that the caravanserai fountain sold on Kurtuluş Street existed in the 1850s. It had a 20-ton water reservoir. It was the most important water source of the city, unfortunately it does not exist today.

It is thought that it had the characteristics of a social complex when it was first built. Although it is written in old sources that the mosque was built with a dome, its dome was changed to a barrel roof in the repairs made in the following years. It is known that Sultan Murat II loved Uzunköprü very much. Murat II gave great importance to the city of Cisr-i Ergenene, which is the transition route between Rumelia and Anatolia, and created many works. Unfortunately, many of these works (especially the fountains) have not survived to the present day. The mosque is currently in the restoration process and I am eagerly waiting for it to be completed as soon as possible. Because, among the Ottoman mosques, there are not many works left except the mosques in Bursa, which are from the 15th century.

Mosques built by Ottoman sultans are called sultan mosques. Our Muradiye mosque is also a sultan's mosque. According to Ottoman dates and Edirne province yearbooks, the mosque is large enough to accommodate five hundred people.
Sultan Murat II greatly valued the world's longest stone bridge and mosque at the time, built in the city of Ergene. At the opening of the foundation complex he created in the city of Ergene, he lit the candles of the mosque with his own hands with great humility and served the meals to the guests he invited from Edirne and attended from the city of Ergene.
It is also stated that there are miniature pictures showing that the Muradiye Mosque had a dome in its first construction.
The front, rear and side eaves covers of the mosque are made as a flat roof. It has a single balconied minaret made of cut stone in the front right corner.

It has a historical structure where nature, archeology and ethnography products are exhibited. There are even artifacts in the garden. The very center of the city is at a distance where you can see the bus station. Even if you happen to be in a hurry, it is a museum where you can get essential information about the works of art blending Thracian and Eastern culture. It is one of our charming museums that allows those interested in design to easily get inspired and reflect the past in their works. No fee is charged. The only drawback is that this museum does not sell items as souvenirs. In my opinion, an urgent sales area should be created where souvenirs about Kırklareli culture that every visitor can buy and take home with them are sold.

(Translated by Google) Sokullu Mehmed Pasha most likely started the construction of the complex in the early 1560s, when he reached the peak of his career. Documents such as inscriptions, endowment certificates and stylistic features in architecture and decoration indicate that the complex was completed in 1569 and in the early 1570s at the latest. The design and construction of the complex was carried out by Sinan, the chief architect of the period, and his Hassa Architects Association. It can be said that Sinan designed a range complex in line with Sokullu's wishes as a result of the dialogues he is thought to have established with the patrons. In this context, Sokullu did not want to see Lüleburgaz just as a destination, and took initiatives to encourage people to come from the surrounding area and settle there with the madrasah, primary school, water fetching and various structures that would contribute to its becoming a center of attraction.

It's an interesting view and it's cold inside the cave. It’s a nice adventure but I wasn't prepared for the steep climb, which gets narrower as you reach the exit and then you’ll go downhill from there. It is a well-maintained area, so there is paid parking for vehicles and an entrance fee to the cave. Restrooms, cafes and souvenir shops are available. Be careful to reach the cave at night, as the road to the cave is winding and there are no lighting poles. You may have to drive in pitch darkness in many areas.

We decided to stop off at this winery for a taste and snack while driving from Istanbul to Çanakkale, but it was disappointing. The girl at the front desk was talking on the telephone when we walked into the lobby, and rudely gestured at us to halt when we tried to pass. That was a bad first impression. It got worse when they would not sell wine by the glass or à la carte menu for food. Only a basic flight of their lower end wines and a mediocre cheese plate were served because we had no lunch reservation and were not staying overnight. The facilities/ambience are very fine indeed, but the wine flight was just OK. At least they agreed to give us a red substitute for the white on the list. However, this place needs better management and service. I should not have to buy a whole bottle, make a reservation for an empty dining room at noon, or book a room in order to get proper refreshment at a winery. They are not prepared to receive drop-in visitors, so don’t stop for a casual visit here. Barbare? Uncivilized!

Very good place in the city center, many shops, with a huge selection of equipment, clothes, shoes, household goods. On the 1st floor there is a large supermarket "Carrefour", there is a cafe, restaurant and many places for fast food. On the street in front of the mall you can take a taxi, safely and at a good price. The staff is very friendly.

The place is still under construction. Apparently there will be a wide footpath section and also a golden sandy coast section. The area will improve a lot after the work is completed, but I hope it won't take long. I wish all the beaches of Istanbul were like this. 😉🌷

In terms of presentation and atmosphere, this beach is not bad at all. But the water quality is really very miserable in my opinion (see my uploaded videos). It is a pity that the current authorities do not take any cleaning measures, even if they involve costs, in the end it is mainly about cleanliness and the quality of life of the local population, tourists also leave their money there. It shouldn't really be that difficult or that time-consuming to drive down the edges of the beach with safety nets or something similar to catch the pollution. Otherwise relatively recommendable beach, also only for walking on the promenade. Yes, I know you think people will pollute it again anyway, but in other countries it works with hints and education. After all, you make permanent announcements at the beach over the loudspeakers not to pollute the beach, so why not also announce not to pollute the ocean? Giving advice over the internet is easy, you will say. Then don't take any advices, just do better on your own.
Ekuator DE — Google review

Florya Güneş Plajı, located on the shores of the Sea of Marmara in Istanbul, is a popular city beach known for its relaxing atmosphere and convenient amenities. Visitors can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and various leisure activities while taking in the beautiful surroundings. The beach offers facilities such as beach umbrellas, benches, and sun loungers for a comfortable experience. Additionally, there are beachfront restaurants where visitors can dine and unwind by the sea.
I revisited Florya Güneş Beach, and it was fantastic! The beach offers great sitting and eating spots near the beautiful and clean water.
Although they now have fences restricting access to the sand at certain times, they do open them periodically. In the evenings, they close off the sand areas, but you can still enjoy the lovely stone side by the water. Additionally, there's a separate cycle lane, making it easy to ride for kilometers. Highly recommended for a relaxing day by the sea!

Nice beach on the Marmara Sea. Affiliated to the Istanbul Municipality Administration. The facilities inside are average and cleanliness is acceptable. The beach is beautiful Sandy with wooden umbrellas. Good restaurant to eat in. Near to Florya Aquarium and Florya Mall. The entrance fee is symbolic compared to the private beaches. I visited it at Today and the entry cost for an adult was 30 Turkish lira, paid by Istanbul Card. Good Experience 👍 only Problem water not A very Clean, Lifeguard very good Work environment

Entry fee is 30tl and it is done with Istanbul card “12tl for the students card”. The beach is so dirty, it seems like they don’t clean it or take care of it at all! You are not allowed to bring water or any food inside, they search the bags and look for any food or water to take it and you get it back when you’re out. There is a cafe in here where you can buy food and drinks but it’s incredibly crowded! Prices are reasonable. There are rooms for changing, toilets, and lockers. I don’t recommend coming here because of how dirty the beach is, it smells awful.

Cigarettes everywhere!
It's the most filthy beach I've been to.
I agree with the other reviews. It's dirty and not a pleasant to stay here.
Entrance was 30TL with Istanbul Card.
It's a pity that it's in the Turkish culture to don't care about nature and clean behaviour. Same as in Istanbul and other cities I've been to. Nature gets a big stress through this.
Also the beach benches/chairs were dirty and several broken. Yellow cigarette staints on the chair and other sauces(?).
We've been at the beach at 10 am Tuesday and still enough free seats available.
If you want to save your time, don't to to the beach in Istanbul.
If I could, I would even give 0 stars.

And then after that I caught up with my family at the shopping center and It was also amazing, not a big shopper but it ended up buying so many things because there was so many name brands and cool things to get, I 100% recommend this place if you’re passing by!

The Istanbul Aquarium is one of the largest and most diverse aquariums in the world, with around 1,500 different species of fish, amphibians, reptiles and mammals. It's perfect for families who want to explore a variety of habitats from all over the world while enjoying some fun activities too. Highlights include diving with sharks and feeding time with the fish in large tanks.
A really fun experience. The aquarium has many sorts of sea dwellers and is structured with historical and geographic accuracy in mind. Definitely would recommend this if you are visiting with kids as it is great fun and for a small additional price they take photos of you with funny sea backgrounds.

Good place for a family activity, I like that there are different activities inside not only the aquarium. The idea of having different moods and places is smart so that you don't get bored.

It was a beautiful tour. I saw new types of fish that I had never seen or heard of in my life. Everything was organized. The decor matched the type of fish on offer. There are huge fish and fish from the seabed, and at the end there is an artificial forest, but it's not big. The important thing is that it was a unique and wonderful experience that deserves to go back again

Our visit was in april 2024
Entrance fee was 26$ per person (880tl) (for adults)
The place would be more exciting for kids; they have different sections (starting with the black sea, suez canal, amazon river, & different environments) each section shows the variety of species living in it
There is also some kiosk selling food along your journey
The best part for was the penguins 🐧😍 but they glass was a bit blurry. Also the amazon section is intriguing as they convert the place into a forest with high temperature & high humidity levels where there are some crocodiles 🐊
It would be nicer if the experience of the other sections was similar to the amazon forest experience
There is a souvenir shops with nice items (i got one for myself for 10$)

This aquarium is great. The way they have the different areas decorated is amazing!
Our favorite areas were the attic and Amazon. We were visiting Istanbul as a family of 6 from America, so we don’t speak Turkish, and there was lots of plaques that hadn’t been translated to English, but that doesn’t bother me.
We used public transportation to get to the aquarium and it was very easy! And the price for the tickets isn’t too bad. We did try to buy them online, and we couldn’t for some reason.
If you are looking for something to do with kids, this is a great option.

So beautiful and "Kuzel", about 1500 kind of see creature. but price for entrance is a little bit high (350 Lira) without a provided service with the tourney.
ONOZONE STORE — Google review
You can find the tickets cheaper online. If you have bought them online, you don't need to wait for long. And, I strongly suggest you to go there not at the weekend. It's nice that English explanations are available, good variety of fish and also some other land animals. The only thing I don't like is it's too loud inside because of the kids all around! The price of food inside is very expensive when compared to regular prices outside. Also in the souvenir shop everything is extremely expensive!!

Really nice aquarium in Istanbul, it’s so big and has all sorts of fish and sea animals, with full explanation and writing for each one. Also the tropical amazon-like forest area is absolutely amazing, the humidity is like 80% i would say so you feel like you’re in gulf region or in South America or smth! It’s a wonderful feeling especially with the waterfalls and fountain inside it, but it’s a bit small though in comparison to the aquarium. Like you would spend around an hour maybe in the aquarium then around 10 min max in the tropical forest, but when you buy your ticket, you get access to both of course.

It was really beautiful and an interesting experience. The variety of fish in this aquarium was great and the aquarium was very well designed. It is really worth seeing I definitely recommend The price of my ticket in March 2024 was 750 lira just to see the aquarium

Very nice aquarium with a variety of fish and some interactive experience that not only kids would enjoy. There are information for every specie and a mall right next to it to enjoy after. Very fun especially the big shark aquarium, could watch it for hours.

A good experience if you are in Istanbul but not so rich from an exhibition point of view. A large main aquarium around which the whole complex is composed, with various viewing "windows". Otherwise, it is not very attractive as species and smaller aquariums.

Great experience.. Got to see all kinds of sea creatures.. They were beautiful. The last is the amazon forest. Took us bout an hour you see everything. There is a cafe inside the aquarium. Overall a good experience..

Best experience ever!
Suitable for Kids and adults
Its not just an aquarium you also will be introduced to historical aspects of the seas
Its located inside the mall near the sea
The tickets for adults and children are the same
As i recall the price was 550 tl
And there is Tutankhamen museum you can access if you paid extra

Good place to visit with kids, beautifully presented with a lot of information. They made different sections according to the habitats of these sea creatures. Especially the tropical weather one is very good though be careful as the floor there is bit slippery. There was a really long queue, so it's better to buy tickets in advance.

Our visit to the Istanbul Aquarium was an extraordinary adventure that exceeded all expectations. As someone deeply fascinated by marine life, I was thrilled by the extensive variety of aquatic species and habitats on display. From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported into a captivating underwater world, meticulously designed to mimic natural environments ranging from the Amazon Rainforest to the depths of the Pacific Ocean.
Navigating through the aquarium, we were mesmerized by the vibrant colors and diversity of life in each tank. The layout is thoughtfully organized, ensuring visitors don't miss any part of the collection. Each section is accompanied by informative plaques providing fascinating insights into the creatures' lifestyles and habitats, enhancing the educational value of our visit.
One of the highlights was the shark tunnel, where we found ourselves surrounded by some of the ocean's most awe-inspiring predators. It was a surreal experience to have these magnificent creatures gliding gracefully overhead. The tunnel offers an unparalleled view, making it feel as though you're walking along the ocean floor.
The aquarium also features interactive zones, which were a hit with children and adults alike. These hands-on exhibits provide a unique opportunity to learn about marine conservation and the importance of protecting our oceans, fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding among visitors.
Beyond the aquatic displays, the Istanbul Aquarium impresses with its commitment to sustainability and conservation. It's evident that they prioritize the well-being of their inhabitants, ensuring that each species is housed in conditions that closely mimic their natural environments.
To wrap up our visit, we enjoyed a meal at the on-site restaurant, which boasts a stunning view of the sea. It was the perfect end to our underwater journey, allowing us to relax and reflect on the incredible diversity of life that thrives beneath the waves.
In conclusion, the Istanbul Aquarium is a must-visit for anyone traveling to the city, offering an enchanting experience that captivates both the young and the young at heart. Its combination of educational content, conservation efforts, and sheer beauty makes it a standout attraction, promising an unforgettable adventure into the depths of our planet's oceans.

This aquarium is very beautiful and it has so many amazing details. Me and my boyfriend had so much fun and it took us 2-3 hours to see everything. We went to mirror maze and it wasn’t the best, it’s definitely for kids. This aquarium is definitely worth the money. This place has north pole theme which is cool and also rainforest which is amazing designed and well done. I’d definitely recommend visiting this place.

Visit SEA LIFE in Istanbul for a chance to experience underwater life up close and personal. This public aquarium has a large collection of sharks and other marine creatures, making it one of the best places to visit in the city. There are twenty-one themed zones at SEA LIFE, making it an ideal destination for all kinds of visitors.
A great spot for kids. Not as many varieties of animals that I expected, but still a lot. The place is huge, and they have a lot of places to swim around. There are sharks, sepia, giant tortoise, a big hall and tunnels, even benches along the way, so you can sit and enjoy the view. I definitely recommend buying tickets in advance for not only it is cheaper, but you won't have to wait in lines. Service is very kind, and in the end, there is a cute store with funny merch :)) Very good strategy.

I have been to the one in London which was way better than the one in Istanbul, though the prices are similar. This one is way smaller and it smelled bad. I expected to stay there for more than 1 hour but the experience took only up to 30-40 minutes. Not many exhibits.
It might be a good place to take your kids to as they have some attractions for kids and some playground areas, some of them with Lego.
I, personally haven't liked it that much.
Raluca Ioana C?r?bineanu — Google review
The selection of fish is great. They also have a nice tunnel that goes right through the big tank, but the number of fish in it was quite low. I guess it's an advantage for them because they have a lot of space to roam around. The other tanks were much better. I think this is the aquarium where I've seen the most clown fish in a single tank. I recommend going here, even though it was quite far from the city center. It was also quiet and there weren't too many visitors.

For people from abroad, please note that the tunnel is closed! This is not indicated during the online booking or when visiting the website with your mobile phone. I was there today and it was very disappointing. staff is also not professional and certainly not empowered to make decisions!

It was stunning! There is a big variety of species of different sizes. My favorite part was the glass tunnel with sharks and stingrays swimming around you. There were open aquariums as well. It was really wonderful! There are also a lot of game activities for kids. Definitely recommend this place both for adults and kids. You’ll enjoy it immensely!

It is not that big. And the price of the ticket was is expensive comparable to size of the aquarium.
It suppose to show the under water life but there were some snakes, crocodiles and birds 😅.

I enjoyed this. We went on a quiet day so was very relaxed. Lots of exhibits and a huge amount of stuff for kids and big kids. I used the VR headset experience which I enjoyed. Sadly the shark tunnel was closed today. Some tanks do seem too small for larger fish, however I wondered if this was due to relocation during refurbishment.

The place wasn't as good as I expected and I felt we waste our money it was around 330 LT for each person individual. It has bad smells of fish and also when you stare at their aquarium, you will fill a headache never stare for more than 10 seconds it’s high-level zoomed and you fill you used your grandma's glass.
Hussein Habibi Juybari — Google review
The whole aquarium is worth visiting once. Especially the big hall where the giant turtle is there has a relaxing atmosphere. It's really entertaining for the kids. A small playground, lego is great for them. But in my mind, the price is a bit high.

Tourist we charged double, I don’t know why? That is discrimination and they don’t care. They know that the children want in and parents can’t say no to third children.
The aquarium was nothing like in the pictures. All empty with almost no fish in the big aquariums.

The reason I rated it 3 stars, although it deserves more... is the closed parts that no body said anything about, I mean if you're closing half the place for maintenance at least say so, or give a half price discount, I went there to see sharks, I told my little girl we're going to see penguins depending on past reviews I read, but we didn't because the section was closed.

A lot of major brands have outlet stores here where you can find good deals, such as Mavi, Levis, Nike, Adidas, etc.
The mall itself is not that big so you can look around pretty quickly.
They have a special sales day on Tuesdays every week where the stores will display discounted items out side of their store.
It is easy to get to with public transportation as well since the Marmaray station is about a 10 minute walk, with many other bus routes going to places like Taksim as well.

GERMAN FOUNTAIN
German Fountain is a monument dedicated to the second visit of the Prussian King and German Emperor Wilhelm Il in 1898. The monument, which was presented in the name of Turkish-German friendship, extending its function of being a fountain with its political meaning and content, is today mostly known for its monumental value. The plans for the fountain were drawn by the private consultant of the Kaiser; Architect Spitta and its construction was overseen by the architect Schoele. Furthermore the German Architect Carlitzik and the Italian architect Joseph Antony also parted in this project. The fountain was commissioned by Wilhelm I| (including the drainage system) and then delivered to the Ottoman Empire. The epigraph on it was written by Ahmed Muhtar Bey. The epigraph in German is located on a bronze plaque at the entrance of the fountain.

The German Fountain (Turkish: Alman (esmesi), located in Sultanahmet Square, was a gift of the German Emperor, Wilhelm II. The pieces which make up the fountain were manufactured in Germany and shipped to Istanbul for assembly. The designs for the fountain were drawn by Spitt, but the project was carried out by Schoele. The fountain came into use in 1901.

Small but beautiful outside the Dolmabahce palace you can watch for free ... To see the palace you have to buy a ticket costing 300TL..
If you don't want to buy the ticket you can go outside art museum which almost looks the same

On your way to the palace, take a quick couple mins to read the history of the clock tower, and appreciate it's beauty.

Great place to visit. The fees were 650 TL for foreigners and tourists. You need around 3 hours to complete the site tour. Don't go during holidays and weekends as it's very busy.

Palace clock tower between the Palace gates and the masjid in the outer courtyard. Short walk from all mentioned plus the street and the Palace Cafe. Beautiful architecture, the Turks have gone a great job in preserving their history. Wish we had more time, at least we got to pet some cats!

The place is clean & huge 🌟
But it's so expensive 😭
For foreigners the price's 640tl (even if you've a residence card , you can't benefit from the discount they've for native citizens)

History with live spirits , I suggest to book online waiting in the queue took around 20 minutes. Nice Resturant is located in the garden of the Dolmabahce. I had coffee and the experience was great

It wasn’t all that special. Nothing you couldn’t learn online. Nothing significant about going there too. You basically walk around a palace that was built to be fancy. You’re not allowed to take photos. You can’t walk into the rooms. The furniture itself is a bit boring too. Nothing religiously significant or historically either. Not something I’d recommend. Compared to Topkapi Palace or Hagia Sofia, not a chance.

The Bosphorus strait serves as a dividing line between Europe and Asia, providing a unique vantage point for tourists to admire the city views. Boat tours offer an alternative mode of transportation and allow visitors to avoid traffic. Additionally, a converted Ottoman palace with stunning architecture provides breathtaking views of the Bosphorus. The historical significance of both sides of Istanbul can be appreciated from this perspective. Bosphorus Ancient Greek is a natural strait and an internationally significant waterway located in Istanbul in northwestern Turkiye that connects the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara. It forms part of the continental boundary between Asia and Europe, and divides Turkiye by separating Anatolia from Thrace. It is the world's narrowest strait used for international navigation.
All tourists visiting Istunbul must enjoy this by riding cruise trip. It provides excellent pictorial points. It gives an exceptional view of the city on both sides of Bosphorus Strait.

Had a beautiful experience in the Bosphorus area and cruising through it. We did the cruise in the evening time from when it was bright under the sun till it got dark and the shades changed into night lights. Would definitely recommend, both sides of the Bosphorus have lots of iconic monuments and views to watch out for.

You can’t just visit Istanbul without experiencing a tour or a soirée aboard a Bosphorus cruise, sailing through the Eurasian sea that splits two continents. A must do! I’ve enjoyed experiencing both, I had a morning tour and a soirée later on, our lunch and dinner were even included too.

If you ever come to Turkey, you must visit Bosporus, which is a natural strait and an internationally significant waterway located in northwestern Turkey. You can see a lot of summer villas located along the coast, as well as the yachts the villa owners own. You can visit Bosporus by taking a boat tour, which takes approximately 90 minutes.
