The Chocolat Alprose SA chocolate museum is a great place for children and adults to explore the history of chocolate. There you can learn about the origins of this delicious treat, as well as how it is made and processed today. You can even sample some of the different varieties of chocolate available at the museum!
Great place to visit during weekends. One of the few places open on Sunday! They have a tour and also chocolate tasting all day long. You end up always buying something, but it's worth it.

Great chocolate and in the shop you can try so many things for free 😍
Maila — Google review
I had the chance a while ago now to visit and take the tour and see the progress of how the chocolate is made in this factory while on a day trip to Switzerland while staying in lake Como. After we took the tour we ended up in the chocolate shop where we got to test the chocolate before we bought a bunch of it. All the chocolate here tasted great and wish I could find it at home.
Donald hood — Google review
nice small factory where you can watch working process and then buy some chocolate. if you're heading from Italy to Lugano you can spend 30 minutes there just to stretch your legs and try some free chocolate. Cant say its very interesting for kids. oh yeah its 5 euro ticket for an adult.
Zagibster — Google review
Cute museum, but the real attraction is the discounted Swiss chocolate and the free tastings!! Would recommend over Lindt or others.
Sophie Henning — Google review
We wanted to go see the production as well as the museum. Unfortunately we came just after Easter and the factory was closed. There was no price reduction due to this fact and we decided to just visit the store and buy some chocolates as souvenirs. Suggest to call in advance if you would like to have the full Approve experience.

Was a bit disappointing (maybe we had more expectations??) because, the visit ended before we thought it started. A small place that has few pictures and called Museum. We went on Sunday, so there was no working happening to see chocolate manufacturing in live. To be fair, they did inform that no one works and we could see the videos and the machine.
The free tasting of chocolate was not as expected. It’s not about quantity, but the diversity. They had 4 types of chocolate in display for trails. That’s it. Overall, my personal opinion is to visit other places if you could.
Maheshwaran Jothi — Google review
Very good place for buying chocolate i was here with my friends and there is a room where you can see how robots make chocolate and its awesome there is room where you can try chocolate betore buying here are some chocolates i bought and 5/5 from me.
Arsenije Petrovi? — Google review
The museum itself is rather dull. There’s only one room and not much to see there. The fun parts are the chocolate fountain in the beginning (every guest gets one waffle dipped in chocolate), and in the end where there’s free tasting of various chocolates.
Other then that, it’s worth the trip only of it’s raining and there’s nothing better to do.
דניאל גרופ — Google review
Swiss chocolate factory, possible to experience a factory tour, entrance €5 adults. Chocolate tasting and a chocolate stop. Delicious chocolate.
Rowland Bezzina — Google review
Cute little museum, and a good view of the factory. Not very big so you can go through it quite quickly. I love the fact the free tasting is varied, and a wonderful selection to buy.
Stephanie Jury — Google review
Many years after my last visit, I went there again. The small museum basically is the same, however, they charge for it now. The tasting options in the shop have been reduced significantly. Still a nice short stop close to Lugano.
Marius — Google review
A chocolate factory can only be great. This one is great as well. Less tastings and less interactive than Zotter in Austria but still 5 stars.
Zoltán Barnóth — Google review
Its nice place to see if your in the area, I wouldn’t travel for it . The chocolate you get to taste when you enter is out of this world . The tour , is just you walk alone , you wont take more than 5 mins to finish. But at the end its only 5 euros, I really enjoyed it.
Yosef Al Shehab — Google review
We went in organised tour and we paid €1 each for entrance in chocolate factory.the machines are not in operation hence it is Sunday.more favourable if you will go during working day so that you will experience how they make their chocolate.
Merlo Limet — Google review
Such a lovely factory! The price of the museum is okay. You can see the inside of a chocolate factory (although it's not as magical as seen in the movie Charly and the Chocolate Factory). At the begin of the museum you get a sample of 'fresh' chocolate from the small chocolate fountain.
After the museum visit you walk through the shop where you can taste the chocolate before buying it. Such delicious chocolate!
Splash e Spa Tamaro is a water park that features slides, a wave pool, and a terrace in a mountain setting. It also has a stylish spa.
Magnificent water park! We loved to be there! it's an indoor water park, warm and nice inside, there is a wave pool every 30 minutes(i think) and 2 more pools inside( one of them is warmer)and one more pool that is outside and warm.
The children area was so much fun, it has 2 slides and the water sprinklers are hot and nice, our 4 and 1 years old boys had so much fun.
The bigger water slides are for big kids (8 years old and above 120 cm) they were very fast, cool and scary because the slide is dark inside.
Overall we really enjoyed it and recommand it :-)
edna zigdon — Google review
Very relaxing place, easy to reach, clean but gets pretty crowded on weekends. Sometimes people get really noisy in the interior spa area even if there are signs everywhere and I didn’t see the staff letting them know that this is a relaxing area not an amusement park, this will be quite an improvement. Overall we felt nice every time we went.
Alex Marin — Google review
Wonderful and fun place for the entire family. Specially the outdoor heated pool in the dead of winter.
Nini Sattar — Google review
Great experience overall, the Waterpark doesn't justify the visit but the Spa and thermals are great, vast selection of vapor chambers, relax areas and saunas.
Overall clean, the water filtering of the internal heated pool could be improved. The snow chamber and salt relaxation are a must!
The roof pool bar along with the snack area are also a very nice asset
Giuseppe Franza — Google review
Great place, fun for all ages and when you are tired of sliding you can enjoy some splashing in their heated pools. They serve regular and non-alcoholic cocktails at the heated pool, there's a restaurant that serves regular food and you can get ice cream or sandwiches as well. There's a huge storage and a smaller one for precious things and clothes which can only open with the wrist watch they give you. The staff is very educated and I had no issues speaking English with them. The pools are very clean. Showers are good, this would be a 5 star review if they had any soap in the soap dispenser, which seemed to be empty on all of the showers, so beware, take your soap. On and all, it's a great place, the atmosphere is amazing, good for kids, for couples, for singles, of all ages.

Super parc aquatique familial.

Great family water park. Plenty of parking spaces (1.-/h, 5.- maximum). Varied Spa side (several hammams, saunas and relaxation areas) separated from the swimming pools for maximum relaxation. Downside on the staff side, not very friendly. Also, plan your things in advance because there are not many changing rooms.
Mélodie Gay-Balmaz — Google review
It has surpassed Aquabasilea and it is 15% cheaper.
Very nice slides for grown ups, clear rules for borrowing / giving the infaltables. Basins and play area for small ones, water wings are available free of charge.
Cool water bar, didn't try the spa area. It will be next time.
The changing cabins and rows are way too narrow. It is hard to maintain 1.5m distances there.
To pay the consumptions there is a working machine before the exit.
Geographical location is great, along the A2.
S P — Google review
SPA is big and very nice. Was not crowded when I visited, which was appreciated.
Unfortunately there is no ticket just for the SPA, which is a pity.
“Non-SPA” area too noisy, plenty of kids and families. Visit this area first and the SPA after, if you want to relax.
Curzio Scuffi — Google review
Modern, clean and relaxing spa area.
The splash part is also lots of fun.
The prices are in line with similar structures in Switzerland.

Best water park I've seen so far. I liked the pool bar most! Slides are great and big fun. Same for the waves pool. Didn't use the spa.
Not so crowded around noon on a weekday, more people in there late afternoon.

A great place to visit with children, lots of activities for children. As far as the restourants are concerned, a little expensive

Super cozy SPA, coped with a nice warm internal and external pool. And many crazy water slides for your kids to choose. A tasty Restaurant and Lounge are available all day. Very clean, friendly staff!
Giorgio Barinetti — Google review
We spotted the slides while we were heading to Italy and we stopped there on our way back. It's a nice place to spend a couple of hours especially if the weather is cold outside. The slides are fun and the water temperature is great. The pool bar is awesome, it's the first time I saw an indoor pool bar, usually you only have a pool bar at some resorts and it's mainly outdoors

Pleasant afternoon spent in this place. Swimming pools where you can have a good time, fun slides for young and old, SPA area where you will find everything you need to relax.
Tiago OLIVEIRA — Google review
It has many good slides but more group slides than individual slides which means you need to go with people who want to slide like you do! The two new slides they introduced in September 2023 are excellent
William Bell — Google review
Cool infrastructure and good food. The missing star is because I have the impression that sometime the staff misses the "hospitality", for example yawning and being somehow "frustrated" at the counter during opening time (11h30) or the restaurant cashier having pain to say just "hello" while paying the lunch. This is for sure not valid for all staff.

Best swimming pool I have ever been to ever.
went here with family there are 6 slides open and finished.
the place is divided in 3 parts one is spa I haven't been there I'm rating the pools and slides two is slides they are miraculous I LOVE IT best slide I have ever been in is gravity killer it looks and sounds scary but it's amazing and not scary at all!
three are the pools there are 4 of them 1 is for children under 9 years old the others are for all ages one makes waves every now and then and is amazing for throwing balls the others are more relaxing and massaging the bubble beams are insane and comfortable!
The Lido Locarno features a state-of-the-art lakeside swimming complex that offers an extensive range of amenities for all ages. The facility boasts outdoor pools, water slides, thermal baths, and beach access with stunning views. There is a 50m outdoor pool and a designated pool for kids and toddlers. Additionally, guests can enjoy bid and hot whirlpool facilities. Although the outdoor pools are quite old, they are well-maintained.
very nice pool, friendly staff. exceptionally beautiful view. I recommend this pool to everyone.

Fantastic place. As a traveller from the UK this provided a welcome place for relaxation, some sun, shade (helpfully!) and a great swim and slide. Really great setting beside the lake with beach and lake access. Large grassed areas with deckchairs or sun loungers, An Olympic height diving platform and aqua climbing (a first for me!) in a separate pool. A large outdoor pool great for lengths but also a fantastic temperature for a hot day. A heated outdoor pool that was like a bath on a hot day and children's splash play pool. Indoors two large pool areas. Finally 4 fantastic slides / flumes. We tried 3 but the vertical drop of the 4th saw us chicken out. A bit pricey but worth it!
Ed C — Google review
Amazing pool!
- Clean, large, everything well-organized
- Lovely warm outdoor pool with a bubble bath and a view of the mountains
- Really cool water slides on an amusement park level (there's an extra fee at the entrance if you want to use them)
- Nice toddler pool with a soft bottom and a slide for the little ones in the main pool
- Delicious fries at the restaurant (note: the portions are huge)
- Large inflatable cushion on the lake
- And several diving boards too
In short: highly recommended!

We were in Locarno for the triathlon and the entrance fee was included so we chilled before the event.
The place is really nice, it feels luxurious for the price you pay - which I think it’s 13 francs. The structure is very modern and the areas themselves are clean and inviting.
Giorgio Soler — Google review
Great pool, superb view, very kid-friendly. One outside pools is heated to what feels like 36°. Starting September 2023 they are renovating quite few pools too!
Floris Bot — Google review
Well organized lido with a lot of swimming pools and one of them with hot water. There is also a diving area with trampoline and also a local restaurant which serves burgers, salats & pizza. The entry price for an adult is only 13 CHF.
Totally worth the drive from Zurich considering the huge temperature differences ☀️🔝

I love this place , very neat and clean
Its a fun distention for the family
More than 5 swimming pool with different sizes , small aqua park inside
Shaded pools , and nice restrant as well
Negative point : 1 bottle of water cost 3.5 euro ( you can imagine the rest )
Also the entrance ticket cost 20 euro approx which is very expensive compared to the other lido in Switzerland
Mohamed Elgazzar — Google review
I was there with my daughter today. I paid extra for her to be able to go on the slides. However her ticket did not work and would not let her on the slides. When I went to complain they refused to either replace the ticket or refund the extra money.

A large and beautiful bathhouse, which has something for every age.
There is good food, friendly staff, Entertainment and a lot of fun.
We were there with our son (11 months) and he felt verh comfortable. Unfortunately it does not have much shade, so you are forced to be there very early or rent a parasol. The prices are proud, bit if you look at the whole area, it will be fine.
Sven Küenzi — Google review
I admit that I love to swim. What you get: 50m outdoor pool, pool for kids and toddlers. Bid and hot whirlpool other features. Most beautiful view you andprobably may have from a public shore. Sunday and Saturday crowded. Building is very modern and stylish. Outdoor pools are quite old but in good shape. Of course you may also swim in the lake! Enjoy. No pictures from the pool cause of personal privacy.

Arrive early, spend the day. 45+ CHF for 2 adults & 2 kids under 9. Take lunch with you, very expensive. Great pools, some slides and well organised. Can swim also in the lake. Hi dive boards are cool. A great day out. Slides are NOT for under 6 years old.

Falconeria Locarno is a lush park that showcases shows and demonstrations featuring an array of raptors such as eagles, hawks, vultures and more. The exhibition offers an opportunity for visitors to witness these magnificent birds flying very close, sometimes even right next to them. For the best chance at having a bird placed on you, wear a cap and be prepared to take photos quickly. Kids can also enjoy pony rides after the show.
Beautiful show. Kids really enjoyed it.
Birds are flying very close, sometimes next to you.
If you want to get a chance that they put a bird on you - wear a cap. And be ready to take pictures - it is just few seconds.
Kids can ride a pony after the show.

The show was amazing and super engaging. Even though the narrative was only in Italian and German (and I speak neither), it didn’t make it any less fun.
Highly recommended for adults, teenagers, and kids!

The show is an amazing experience!! Don't lose that.
The zoo is nice but during the show you have the experience to see all animals flying freely
P.s. come with a hat and you could have a chance to have an eagle landing on you
P.p.s they are pretty friendly

Amazing show. Learned a lot about the history of falconry, and enjoyed the birds from a very near distance (had one even on my head). Highly recommended half day trip! Also, the pizza in the bistro tasted fantastic and was very reasonably priced.

Classic falconeria, if you're looking for a more interactive experience than just your average zoo, this is fantastic. Great performances, horse riding, eagle & owl holding with photos available too, super cool place & a must visit.

Indeed many (large) birds flying around (some even over your head) during the show. Definitely worth attending.
Note it can quite wet in case of rain as tents over tribunes don't do their job well.

Piazza Grande, located in the historic center of Locarno, is a charming town square with ancient cobblestone pavement and colorful historic buildings. It is situated near the lake and surrounded by many little shops and restaurants. The plaza hosts film and food festivals which attract tourists from all over to witness its beauty. Visitors can explore the narrow streets around it and indulge in some gelato while enjoying the stunning view of the lake from one of its many bars or restaurants.

Very nice, wide Plaza with ancient cobblestone and colorful historic fasades. Close to the lake, many little shops and restaurants. A real gem in the histories centre of Locarno. There's not that much around but the Piazza grande is well worth the visit. Make sure to check out the narrow streets around it and to get some gelato. The place was occupied by a large screen at one end due to the movie festival, so its full glory was covered partly.

Please note my comments are based primarily around our film festival experience within this space.
It’s early August and the Locarno Film Festival is in full flow, the centrepiece is the Piazza Grande, where up to 8000 people per night gather to watch movies on one of the world’s biggest screens.
It’s an experience you are unlikely to forgot, to share those moments with thousands of strangers, it’s kind of amazing and incredibly cool.
I love the environment here, who says cinema is dead when so many gather to watch films both big and small.
Loved it each night as bats made their way across the screen, maybe they were watching.

There are many homes and municipal buildings built in the Vigezzo style. The city of Santa Maria Maggiore is the "capital" of the valley; I recommend visiting it. The area is that of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. A railway leaves from Domodossola which, running along the entire valley, reaches Locarno in the canton of Ticino (Switzerland). Anyone who chooses to use the railway starting from Domodossola and arriving in Locarno will be able to return to Arona by sailing via the lake. From Arona it will be possible to return to Milan, Novara, Turin.

This is a review of the 5 star hotel across 2 stays in 2020 and 2022.
Service:
I requested a transfer from another local hotel and this was the perfect way to get to 7132. It came within a short period of time and spared me the walk up to the hotel with ski equipment. The chauffeur also helped me store my equipment in their ski room so my boots would dry properly. This short distance transfer was included as part of my room charge, which was a complete surprise to me.
Breakfast extras are included (egg dishes, pancakes, etc.), where they are not in the House of Architects. I recommend trying out the breakfast muffin.
I forgot an item in the room and they quickly packaged it up and shipped it to my home in Switzerland. This was an above-and-beyond service to me because they emailed me back within minutes of asking them about the item.
Lastly, I have used the room service for before-dinner drinks. They surprised me with a small snack and dip that was more than I expected for a gratis apero snack.
Single Room: Excellent size for 1 person with a giant king size bed. Heard nothing the entire stay except some minor noise from the hallway in the morning from the breakfast cart which unfortunately woke me, however I'm a light sleeper at higher altitude. I think the shower could use someplace to hold bottles so I don't have to store them on the floor. Finally, I was really happy with the excellent view from this room and woke up to a great view of the mountains.
Penthouse Suite: We got lucky and were able to use a suite for one evening as part of an ongoing promotion. It is one of 3 private apartments overlooking the thermal bath and the mountains across the valley. Privacy is assured with full blackout curtains. Uniquely there is a soaking tub facing the windows, large enough for 2 people. Also unique to Switzerland is a top-of-the-line toto toilet that is completely self-cleaning and features washlet & heated seat. These rooms were extremely quiet. Highly recommended if you can afford it or gain access to this room through a promotion.
Both rooms featured fresh flowers.

Receptionists, Spa staffs were ver professional and I liked a lot!
However. unfortunately not 5star hotel standard. nice concept, but seems like not completely finished the renovation. Restaurant Red service was quite uncomfortable. Many guests were couples and still they serve Super onion smelly gazpacho as amuse bouche. Did they do on purpose…? They didn’t offer wine menu, and they charged 18francs per a local red wine which is less than 50francs a bottle. 12francs for Limoncello per glass which tasted like a soap… I didn’t have chance to give comments nor get them changed since the staff rarely came back since they finish serving us.
The breakfast option is poor unfortunately. It’s ok not having enough staffs, or still training. But then they should think of how to compensate.
I was expecting much more, and really looked forward to my stay. so it turned out very disappointing…Hope they will change for better soon🙏🏽

What a spectacular place - inside and out! Definitely one of the best 5* hotels in Switzerland!
We enjoyed very much our stay at the 7132 hotel in Vals, located in a cozy and authentic Swiss mountain village not too far from Zurich and easy accessible by car. The hotel has a nice interior design, contemporary and elegant at the same time, with a special Swiss touch. We felt very welcome when we entered the hotel and the reception is placed in a discrete corner, so you kind of feel like entering a huge mansion.
The employees were professional and helpful at all times and are also open for a little chat. We had a spa deluxe room in the main building! The rooms are very modern and offer everything you need, and much more. The huge balcony with a village and mountain view is spectacular and the shower can be also used as a steam bath. The eye-catcher was definitely the round bath tube in the middle of the room. Don’t miss to go to the thermal bath, just a few stories down – you will enter to a masterpiece of architecture.
The highlight was definitely the midnight swim the hotel offers to its guests on selected days of the week. To eat you have various choices; from delicious pizzas to culinary delights created by Head Chef Mitja Pirlo. We enjoyed very much the delicious breakfast the following morning (I highly recommend to try the egg Florentine) with fresh bred from the hotel’s own bakery. Just yummieeeee!!!
One night is definitely not enough and we will be back again to enjoy this exclusive 5-star hotel and Vals to the fullest.

Tried the course meal with wine pairing last year. Although the food is tasty and technically well done, it feels somehwat too pretentious at times (a shot of carbonized water, really?). The localness of the ingredients is highlighted in certain dishes just to be completely overthrown in the next dish by an Asian course. Lacking the red line I experienced with other fine-dining restaurants. The wine pairing is just not worth the buck in my opinion - some very ordinary wines.

Me and my girlfriend went there in mid-December and there was not much people, which is was very appreciated.
The snow was fresh of a couple of days, so we could enjoy a very nice view from the out-door pool.
The facility itself is great, but maybe not as fancy as it is advertised: it did not feel special.
Recommended if you are at the hotel or if you are already in Vals and you want to spend 4 hours relaxing.
Not worth it if you go there from far away (Zürich)

My husband and I chose to celebrate our anniversary in 7132 hotel. This hotel was an ideal place for us especially because I'm an architect and from an architectural point of view, I've been attracted to the 7132 hotel for a long time.
The offer which I chose is published on hotel website as "once in a lifetime" included a complete package of several things such as breakfast, dinner, accommodation for two nights in the Penthouse, a helicopter stop on the glacier, etc. The complete package was for two people for a certain price.
We have ordered all the activities provided by this package, knowing that we will pay the price at which it is stated.
When we paid our bill, we found out that the bill was eventually much higher than advertised.
At the reception they told us that we did not order our stay in hotel as a "once in a lifetime" package, despite the fact that everything in the package contained our order. Even after long speculation and documenting emails with communication, they left us the price exorbitant and not at the price at which they offer this package. The answer from receptionist, and both of the managers was same - we understand, but we can not do anything about it. Very disappointing for 5 star hotel expectation and treatment. We felt completely robbed.
The hotel and especially the spa is really beautiful, the staff will do everything for you. That is, until you have your bill issued. If you visit the hotel, I recommend that you have all the items in your account written in advance before you go.

Here is my review which is mixed. The thermal bath experience was incredible as I imagined it would be. The hotel was a disappointment. I have been to a lot of 5 star hotels and quite frankly 7132 does not deserve this rating. While some staff were welcoming many others were very rude which is unacceptable. The hotel room (Ando) was very impressive. However the decor and vibe of common areas of the hotel were subpar at best. The decor was semi dated and not at all in harmony with the beauty of the surrounding landscape at all which was a giant mistake and missed opportunity. My experience at the treatment spa made me feel extremely taken advantage of. Please do not charge over $125 for a manicure (no polish) that took place in an actual a supply closet. I was so angry about absurdity that it pretty much ruined one day. We needed a 9 minute ride at one point and were told that would cost $70 there and $70 back which was absolutely ridiculous and insulting. A total money grab that made me feel taken advantage of again. Lastly the hotel refused to serve coffee until 7:30 and no coffee maker was available in room or anywhere. Ridiculous and not worthy of 4 stars much less 5. Like I said the thermal bath experience was incredible but sadly the hotel was terribly disappointing to say the least.

My husband and I recently visited 7132 Therme for the second time and had a fantastic experience. It is a lovely place to go for a romantic mini-break.
The Therme bad itself is a wonderful experience and I loved being there again. The design and architecture are incredible and create a very special atmosphere, I would recommend anyone to visit.
The staff at 7132 are also fantastic, most recently I was impressed by Hannalore on the spa reception who was extremely helpful and gave me great recommendations on products. Even when she was under pressure due to one of the therapists calling in sick she dealt professionally with grumpy a customer that was complaining about their treatment getting moved and she did everything she could to try and fit me in with a different therapist.
The only reason I don't give a five is because of the main restaurant and the bar. I really would love to see an update to the menu that includes some modern takes on Swiss classics. It is also too expensive - 26chf for two spoons of guacamole and some crackers is daylight robbery!! Finally, the cocktails at the bar are not acceptable - I really think the 7132 team should consider getting a dedicated bar tender who is trained to mix drinks well and choose good spirits.
Overall 7132 is an incredible place to stay and we will definitely be back! The staff and the architecture are the stars!
For just 8 Euros you can spend an hour in the naturally heated baths, both inside and out (looking at the mountains). There are several timed jets and water spouts to massage your shoulders and limbs.
Don't forget to bring a bathing cap which is mandatory. There are spas with steam rooms saunas and massages too, for an extra charge of course, which we will try next time.
A fantastic way to follow a tiring walk to the tops of the surrounding waterfalls (some of the route is by ladder) and past old quarry workers' stone huts.

I wanted to spend a nice day with my boyfriend to relax but it wasn't possible. It was full of little children who were yelling around and there were to people around, it felt like we were in a fun park , we were running around to catch a seat / place . Most of the hairdryers didn't work and the staff were rude when we asked how to reach the outside pool. We have spent 114€ for 2 from 12:00 to 16:00 , we took the full package which includes the entrance to the pool and sauna with relax room and tea room . Everything was timed , 2 hours in the pool and 2 in the sauna with relax room and tea room . The tea room had biscuits and crackers and tea etc.but there wasn't enough for everybody and the lady didn't fill it up so it was empty the whole time . Also I saw some reviwes in which some were saying that it was very clean , not really , I sat in the sauna and "found" balls of hairs ,not to talk about the floor that was dirty brown and I felt very uncomfortable to walk in the sauna without them even if it was prohibited . I give 2 stars only for the waterfall. My opinion is that the price is to high for what they offer but if you want to spent some time with your family or in a group of friends it's ok but NOT TO RELAX

(Translated by Google) Wonderful place to visit, we stayed on Saturday 17 June 2023 and we loved it. From the Ponte Campo car park there is an uphill path that takes you directly to Alpe vigil. As soon as you arrive you will find a beautiful plain and you can decide to continue on many other excursions. We climbed up to the dam of Lake Davino and the effort was rewarded by a wonderful view. On the way down from the lake we made a stop at the Lake of the Witches, more very nice place to see. Near Alpe vigil there are also at least 2 places where they offer food and sleep. Large, dramatic waterfall cascading down a wide rock face in a scenic, serene valley.
Impressive waterfall and the surrounding plateau enclosed in a circle of peaks and ridges. Very suggestive when covered in snow. Lendas itself to hiking and alpine skiing, as well as leisurely times. Easily reached by car which makes it toddlers and elderly friendly as a bonus. Worth the visit and a go at the Restaurant 'Le Alpi' that offers a variety of very good local foods and a superlative 'fil de fer', a piedmontese answer to eggnog, warm and topped with whipped-cream.

The Furka Pass, a famous mountain pass in Switzerland, was featured in the Bond film Goldfinger. This pass marks the cantonal frontier with Uri and offers breathtaking views over the Rhone glacier. The road leading up to the pass starts from the Valais village of Gletsch and climbs continuously for 10km. The Furka Pass is generally open from June 1st each year, depending on snowfall and weather conditions.
One my favorite mountain passes in Switzerland! 😍
It is definitely a great pass to enjoy riding your motorcycle. It doesn't have to be a fast one, it can be a cruiser.
I also noticed that other people (non bikers) enjoy the route too! Wether by coming with their sporty cars or even normal ones, also with mini vans equipped with outdoorsy chairs and food/ drinks so that they enjoy the beautiful sceneries on the side of the roads (non official parking spots can be available).
Some people also manage to go up there by bicycle 😬 (good for them! I can't do that).
It is recommended that you have good command of driving/ riding through curvy mountain passes, and to also check the weather conditions before heading up there, specially with regards to the pass closure dates during winter season.

One of the most beautiful road trips ever had! Furka pass connect Ursental with Goms area and while driving through the valley you have a great wall of mountains taking your breath away! The road in end of August was in great condition and on the way there are many spots to stay and relax and two small restaurant's! The maximum altitude is 2436 meters! Close by hotel Belvedere there is an ice cage and definitely recommend to have a look.

A fantastic drive to the Furka Pass awaits you. Really winding roads leading up to the Rhone Glacier and the iconic Hotel Belvedere. Technically, and some one can correct me if I am wrong, the Furka pass starts from the glacier while crossing over to the Uri-Valais border leading up to the village of Zumdorf. The road is really winding and it can get really cold at the top so please prepare by having winter tires and winter clothing, particularly at night and starting end of autumn season. Also, it’s very sad to see the Rhone Glacier receding so dramatically. This is heartbreaking and hopefully people will understand the impact of global warming before it’s too late.
Enjoy the majesty of the Furka Pass and Rhone glacier before it’s too late.

This bridge is about 20 minutes away from the train station in Andermatt. You will have to cross a tunnel (short one though) to reach the bridge...and it is fantastic! Pristine waters, nature and high mountains make it an awesome place to visit!

Titlis is a renowned mountain peak that boasts of various attractions including the world's first cable car, skiing area, suspension bridge, and glacier caves. Although it can only be accessed by car, it provides a cheaper alternative to Pilatus or Tiltis especially for those without the Swiss Travel Pass. Visitors can take advantage of the CHF13 two-way lift or CHF10 one-way offer to explore this beautiful attraction from 9:30 AM to 6 PM.
This was my third visit to Switzerland, but the very first to Mt. Titlis.
In one word this was the most amazing experience from our 8 day Swiss tour.
Best to visit Mt. Titlis is from Lucerne, as it is only around 30-45 min drive from there.
When reaching Engelberg there're several big parking lots, with a flat day fee of 10 CHF. From here the adventure starts.
You change two cable cars to reach the summit at 3.000 meters. The second rotating cable car is a masterpiece.
Once up you think you're on top of the world - unseen beauty of Alpine peaks all around you from the viewing terrace.
Two outstanding attractions are included in your entry ticket - the Glacier cave walk in an ice tunnel and terrific suspended bridge walk outside.
Make sure to visit the Trubsee middle cable car station, as there's a beautiful walk around the lake. You can do it on your way up or down with the same ticket.
Count on around 3-4 hrs for a proper visit without transport time from your location.
TIPS:
1. Buy your ticket online via Getyourguide - they were around 20% cheaper than on the official site and at the counter.
2. Doublecheck the weather before you go, if it's cloudy there's hardly no point going

I had the time of my life here. Located at 10,500 feet above the sea level, it's one of the most sought after tourist destination in Switzerland. Take a train ride to Engelberg and then continue with the cable car rides. In the end enjoy the slow rotating Gondola. The mountains are covered in snow and make for an amazing view.
People who enjoy skiing can do ski here. The famous movie ddlj posters are also here. And of course a walk to the highest suspension bridge is an awesome experience.

Beautiful mountain with spectacular views. The ride to the top of the mountain is amazing ! There are 2 types of cable cars. First one is normal with 6-8 person capacity. Second one is a big one and is a revolving cable Car which gives everyone a 360 degree panoramic view of the mountains. There is also an additional open cable Car which is super fun there are several activities at the top to do and visit. Ice caves, skywalk bridge, open cable Car etc. There are restaurants at the top which serve variety of food from Indian to European. The ticket of the cable car up and down is 96 CHF and can be bought at the counter below. Summer season is usually crowded. There are plenty of car and bus parking spaces available at the foot of the mountain. Must visit !!

One of the best activities for the family during summer. Titlis is a very interesting place where the snow covers the mountain, everyone is playing with the snow while temperatures are reasonably low..
Waiting ques is long and can take up to 1 hour...
Again, you will face another que at the cable cars especially if you are late..
I prefer to purchase tickets in advance..
Parking lot is available and you have to pay...
Usually, it will take you 2 to 3 hours to have a proper visit... Other people take 2 days instead of one especially when you do hiking....
Opens from 9 am till 5 pm...
I would say it's cheaper than top of Europe....
Best to go there before mid June as these years temperatures are going high during summer..

Located at 1.5 hours drive away to North from Zurich city. It is one of the best visiting points in Switzerland. There are multiple options to reach the 1st level of the mount Titlis. Via fennicular or by cable car. Fennicular may not drop you to the top, while via cable car, you can easily visit top through different levels.
84 Euros or 100 USD ticket can be used at cable cars, roatator, and Galacier cave as well.
There are multiple cafes at different levels of mount Titlis.
I would really recommend you to have coffee there.
At the end, it is one of the best places I have ever visited.

Mount Titlis is also one of the scenic spots in the Alps, with an altitude of more than 3,000 meters. Cable cars are mainly used as transportation.
Although they are all cable cars, they are different in space. The latest cable car is the first in the world, it can accommodate 80 people, and it rotates 360 degrees. All the beautiful scenery can be seen from all angles. It does not take much time to climb to the top and enjoy the amazing views.
Feel the stunning scenery. There are souvenir shops and restaurants on the top of the mountain for tourists to enjoy delicious food and beautiful scenery. It is a very popular tourist ski resort!
If I have the chance, I will definitely visit again next time~

Mount Titlis in Engelberg, Switzerland, is a majestic peak in the Swiss Alps. Renowned for its panoramic vistas, it offers year-round activities like skiing and snowboarding. The Titlis Rotair cable car provides breathtaking views from the green savanah underneath to the permanent snow on the top

I loved this place!! Views are beyond beautiful 😍. Nothing can prepare you for this type of nature encounter❣️🌲🌲🌲🍾🥃🍁🏔 Besides building a snowman, my kid had a great time at the kids section in the restaurant. There was not enough snow to ski as this was the beginning of November, but it was definitely worth the 🚠. I have to come back in winter 💟

Best tourist spot in Switzerland. Very systematic, well managed place.
100-m. suspension bridge hanging 500 m. above the ground & connecting to a chair-lift station.
Once in a life time experience. Must do.
Truly mesmerizing and awe-inspiring.
Advice everyone to be well covered and do bring a good set of gloves and Shades.
It is the Top most point of Mt. Titlis.
Snow does glitter alot 🥸😎⛷️🏂

If you want good views and pictures you can just as well walk up to the top observation deck.. in my opinion the views here where better.
If you want a bouncy/wiggly/ fun experience you can do the cliff walk

One of the most amazing experiences. A true marvel of engineering using cables cars into the mountains. The most breathtaking views of nature and the valley. The tickets are also so good value for money as it includes all activities there are to offer at the top. Also if you one for Bollywood movies this place is very famous.

Very easy to get there by public transport. The staff at the counter is very helpful and kind. There are many facilities available for children to play there. Toilets, a souvenir shop and a restaurant are also available. Ample car parking is also available.

Absolutely ridiculous views. We were very lucky with the weather and had a perfectly clear day to enjoy it.
The cable car up is a bit pricey but definitely worth it. We got there for the first ride up in the morning and definitely recommend doing that to get the place to yourself. I am scared of heights and it helped so much to be able to do the cliff walk at my own pace with no one else around.
Also make sure to check out the glacier tunnel while you are here. There is a free lounge where you can sit and eat your own food so pack a picnic and save a bit of money up the top (food options are limited and $$$)

Amazing place with the cable carts bringing you to the top.
We came during mid-September but still very sunny day, don't forget to bring a jacket as it gets colder at the top.
Worth visiting and trying the activities as well: zip-line, ice flyer, cliff walk and the ice cave.
There are also restaurants to get some food at the top of the mountain.

Spectacular! Incredible views. Extremely cold!! even on an otherwise very mild spring day. Be prepared with hat and gloves and any thermals available. Experience will literally take your breathe away!

Cliff Walk is a must go place when you visited Titlis. It is the highest suspension bridge in Europe & it's completely free.
The bridge was a bit more "shaking" than we expected, but we felt it's totally safe due to the high fences on both sides. The view of the Swiss Alps is amazing - but it also depends on the weather too. (It closes during bad weather days anyway) The best view is towards the end of the bridge where there's no high fences & the scenery in front is breathtaking!
I have height phobia but I felt completely fine up there (felt great actually)
Highly Recommended!

For skiing, i think its amazing place in winter, but in summer not much to do and weather not always great. But if you go in summer do not forget your warm clothes, you might enjoy it more if you warm.
Lesik — Google review
The bridge was closed when I went but the outside area next to it was open. I definitely recommend going up, even if you don't walk the bridge. Well worth the trip up.
I would take the rotating gondolas up again no question. It was the best. After breaking through the first cloud layer (if there is one), the view is breath taking.
Thomas Kerrick — Google review
One of the most important tourist destinations in Switzerland, reached there in morning, it was raining while we reached there but within minutes it was clear, as entry tickets were already purchased so the entry was smooth, the gondola ride was memorable, had lunch in the top of Titles.
It was crowded but we were lucky to see almost every attraction there. We travelled in Ice flyer, the hanging bridge etc.

What an experience. Visibility was poor as we came up the first cable car, then as we transitioned at the second station and broke through the clouds, amazing. We didn't ski, we paid for the cars up to Titlis and visited the cliff walk, the flyer and also went snow tubing . Very well organised and worth a visit.

Absolutely phenomenal experience! Even in the depths of winter with part of the route closed it was amazing to cross the bridge and just to see the views, properly epic!

Titlis Cliff Walk, located in the Swiss Alps, is Europe's highest suspension bridge. It stretches 100 meters, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers, with an altitude of 3,041 meters. The view from above the bridge is so incredibly beautiful.

Amazing! The views were stunning, the walk was awesome, short but not too scary and the ice cave was nice and lit up. Get some ice cream from level 3- the best ice cream I've eaten in a long time.
Overall a wonderful experience. I'm so glad I made the train ride out.
Luftseilbahn Grindelwald Pfingstegg is a cable car that takes you to the mountaintop, offering breathtaking views of Grindelwald. Once there, visitors can enjoy various activities such as tobogganing, zip lining, and hiking back to Grindelwald. The fly-line and toboggan rides are popular choices for both adults and kids.
Wonderful view on Grindelwald from up there in Pfingstegg! The view is worth it, you'll not regret the cablecar trip.
Once up there, you can either do the fly-line, the toboggan (kind of bobsleigh) or hike back to Grindelwald (around 1h).
The flyline costs 12.- per adult, takes about 5-10 minutes in total if no waiting. It's super chill, it's great to do it once, no more. It brings you back up after the "flight"
The toboggan is super fun and costs only 6.- per adult. It also takes around 5-10 minutes if no waiting. It's more energetic and gives some great adrenalin, I recommend it! It also brings you back to the starting point after the ride.
All in all, no need to stay more than a couple hours, maybe 3 if its crowded. But it's definitely worth coming here.
Oh, and there are cute and talkative goats.

We had so much fun highly recommended ..
You can take the package cost 66 swiss francs per person which includes everything and you can play the fly line and the slide 3 times each
Rana Alfi — Google review
I came here to do the toboggan run, which all the people before me said it was fun (even for adults)... but when I was about to go, it started to sprinkle rain (literally a few drops). They shut the ride down because the brakes don't work even with such a small amount of rain. At CHF6 for 1 run for an adult (better bulk pricing), it's inexpensive compared to other activities in Grindelwald. And if you are going to take the cable car up, you can always take a hike down (multiple paths, a beautiful mossy forest, and great views of course).
TLDR, make sure that you go on a day it isn't going to rain for the toboggan run, and you can enjoy a beautiful hike.
Angela A. — Google review
It's a cable car that takes you up the mountain. There you find a restaurant with tables on the balcony that offers a gorgeous panaromic view of Grindelwald. It's one the most beautiful views I have ever seen definitely worth a visit. There is also a playground for the kids and a slide that is available for all ages.

Really nice trip up in the cable car, then did the toboggan run which was great fun for adults and kids! Not too badly priced either. View from the restaurant is beautiful. Then you can hike back down the mountain if you wish. Very nice walk. Had a fantastic day.

The monument to William Tell, the historic figure of Switzerland by excellence is worth a visit while driving through Altdorf, the Canton Uri's capital. Uri was one of the three original cantons in Switzerland that started the Swiss Confederation or Confoederatio Helvetica, in Latin, from where the CH comes from. The monument is simple with nice paintings that tells William Tells story.

Aareschlucht is a stunning limestone river gorge in the central Swiss region, with a depth of 200 meters. The milky blue stream is formed by snow-capped mountain meltwater and features small waterfalls. Visitors can explore the network of public walkways and tunnels, taking in the breathtaking natural beauty. Driving through the tunnels into the valley offers astounding views of lush greenery, well-maintained towns, and the majestic Swiss Alps.
Driving through the tunnels into this valley is astounding. In early March; the grass was all lush and green, and well maintained in the small town; you are surrounded by astonishing views of the Swiss Alps in every direction, with beautiful snow capped peaks that no photo or video could ever capture the beauty of; the river flowing through the valley was crystal clear and a perfect balance between turquoise and blue; this place is picturesque and serene.
Devon Griffith — Google review
I was planing to visit Aareschlucht for some time and I am very happy that I finally did- it was amazing! I took my time walking through the beautiful gorge, so I can’t say exactly how long it takes, but it’s worth every minute. It was exciting seeing how nature works and creates all that beauty.
I took Western entrance, and there was plenty parking spaces on the parking right in front of the entrance and second parking 200m further. Didn’t wait for entrance,it wasn’t crowded. You can take baby stroller even though the path is narrow at some point. Dogs are allowed. Restaurant and souvenir shops are at both sides.
If you are thinking of visiting Aareschlucht, don’t think any more just do it,it’s well worth it!

Unfriendly, unwelcoming and unhelpful staff but the experience is amazing and the weather will be colder than outside. The route primarily involves walking, and it takes approximately 40 minutes to walk. also, there’s a waterfall and in the end you will find a restaurant. If you get tired quickly, i recommend starting from the restaurant gate not the other gate, so it’s takes you start from the top to the bottom of the cave.

Incredible gorge. The view was breathtaking and the water was sometimes crystal clear. Show's you how truly small you are on this planet. Definitely recommend. 10/10
Wassim Benabdelaziz — Google review
Incredible beautiful place. It is a pity it is more known perhaps among Switzerland people than foreigners, because we never heard about this nature pearl before. Better to start from the West entrance. Also please take the sweater or coat, it is really cold even if outside there is plus 30. Entrance costs are really normal comparing to what you will get
Raimundas Vaisvilas — Google review
Exactly what you're expecting! If you're looking to avoid an uphill hike, start at the East/Ost side, as it goes down steps and levels out for the gorge. If you go during busy season, it can be overcrowded and as the walkway is narrow, it can be hard to get pictures. End of September is a great time to go with minimal tourists. If you have kids, strollers, or wheelchairs, start at the West entrance. It is more accessible than the east.
Reichenbach Falls is a famous waterfall with viewing terraces and a wooden cable car ride. It holds ties to the fictional character Sherlock Holmes, who was portrayed to have met his end by falling from this 120-meter-high water cascade in Arthur Conan Doyle's novel The Final Problem. The falls are located at Willigen, south of Aare River, and are accessible through a funicular ride.
Great for a short stop to check out a waterfall. Reasonably priced. Definitely walk the short track to look down over the waterfall while you are there.

The waterfall was gorgeous and powerful even after so many days without rain. The tour guide drove us to the point where the descen along the waterfall started. We used a funicular on the way down.

Closed till May, but still possible to access it on foot. The path is a bit slippery (mainly at the steep rocky sections) when it rains/snow so definitely be careful if you choose to visit it.
The waterfall was rather non existent in January, but we enjoyed the walk

Me and friend went to visit the museum down on Meiringen, and we got a flyer where it mentioned the place where sherlock holmes, *died* so we packed our stuff and went to the place where the waterfall is.
The name of the street where the rail is, is"hausenstrasse 34" in meiringen, the rail will take to a point where you can see the waterfall, when you look to the other side, you can see a star, near it is a plake with info about sherlock holmes' last enconuter with professor moriaty, to get there you have to go on a walk that is around 15 minutes! Its very easy to find
About the other way,on foot from "hausenstrasse 34" you have to go right to the road that curves up, from there you will find a way that is made or kinda rounded rocks, just follow this path and eventually you will arrive, to the side where the star is, it has a gorgeous view over the waterfall!
The railway is great for everyone including wheelchairs, the "wanderweg"path is not possible for wheelchairs, and please... We saw at that day a old lady with her family, and she looked like very distressed, so please take great care before heading in the walk paths.

Beautiful place for Sherlock Holmes fans and others. The funicular was also a fun adventure. The falls themselves are breathtaking and the footpath to the final meeting of SH & prof Moriarty quite challenging towards the end but worth it!

Highly recommended. There's no parking at Reichenbach falls itself, so park at Meiringen, take the cable car to see the falls, go back, and drive few minutes to Aare Gore. You can save money if you buy a combined ticket to go to Aare Gore. Free to kids under 6 years old. You can also do hiking and reach the top of it.

It was fine. Nothing incredibly special. The funicular ride was about 10. At the top you see the waterfall and they have a little star at where the famous Sherlock Holmes fight took place in the novel. There is a small little museum at the top. It was nice.

Stunning waterfall... fun funicular railway to get there... also decently priced... highly recommended
??? ????? — Google review
Lovely waterfall with good views.
The funicular up costs 8CHF for Adults and 6CHF for kids (one way). Or if you'd rather walk there is a nice but steep path up both sides of the waterfall. If you go up the left hand side (as you look at the waterfall) you will pass the place in which Moriarty (from Sherlock) died and if you go up the right hand side you go past the funicular station and the viewing platforms.
You can also walk further up into the mountains from the top or you can walk down to Aare Gorge which is also beautiful (you can also get a joint ticket for these two attractions which is cheaper than seperately).

Love the waterfall! It was a bit hard to find it cs my navigation went crazy and guided me on some unpaved narrow road but fortunately I got there eventually. Superb waterfalls and not just because it's where Sherlock Holmes fell to his supposed death. You can take the funicular up to the base of the falls where you can do another 30 to 40 min hike up to the top and place where sherlock fell.
Just a short bus ride on the 174 from the Meiringen station. Its definitely worth the trip.

Great short visit. Take the cable car up and then hike to the top (about 20 minutes).
The Sherlock Holmes museum is really nothing, but the views are amazing.

A great family experience. If you choose to walk the trail down from the top, it only takes about 20 minutes to get to the bottom, or just 5 minutes to get to the white star.

Very impressive falls where the fictional Holmes faced-off against his archenemy. Moriarity. A wooden funicular takes you up. There might be a queue since the funicular can accommodate upto 24 passengers however the wait tends to be fairly brief. At the top there are walking trails and viewing platforms where one can take in the thunderous beauty of the falls. The last funicular departs down at 5.30pm hence one needs to allow at least an hour or two prior to that to take in the sights.
A popular destination for tourists, Lake Lucerne is the fourth-largest lake in Switzerland and offers boat trips with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The well-preserved old town situated right on the lake adds to its allure, making it a must-visit place for alpine scenery enthusiasts. It is stunning, with a backdrop of mountains and punctuated by little towns, villages and settlements along the coastline. The water is pristine and often changes colour.
Better still, if you're heading to the Gotthard Panorama Express, catch the paddle steamer all the way to Fluelen, a trip of about 2.75 hours and the scenery just gets better and better (have your camera ready). If that is what you are doing, then you can book your luggage through to the train at the departure point in Luzern, so you don't have to worry about carrying it on board.

Best place to be visited during all season. Super combination of mountains along with lakes and also boat rides makes it complete package.

Sailed from Lucerne to Flüelen on the Uri, Europe's oldest paddle steamer. The 100 year old boat is in the best possible conditions and offers all amenities with a flair of the grand old times. The panoramic boat ride lasts around 2:45 h, in early October there was a fresh breeze so bring warm cloth if you plan to stay outside. The upper deck is beautifully sunny, but other areas more wind protected. The morning fog soon lifted and views opened, so don't be deterred if the morning looks gloomy. The restaurant serves food and drink, but nobody minds if you bring your own either. Indoors there are information panels and one can watch the steam engine in full action. It looks as shiny and new as it started operations yesterday, not 100 years ago.

We took the train from Zurich to Lucerne. It was a beautiful summer day, and I was wearing my favorite cotton high-top shoes. From Lucerne, we boarded a boat that crossed the lake toward Alpnachstad station. From there, we would take the train up the mountain to the top. Lake Lucerne shimmered in the bright sunlight as we sliced through the crystalline waves. While I twisted in my seat to get a better look at the landscape, I shifted my feet, turning them left, then right. My ankles were sore, but I couldn’t figure out why.

I visited in 2001. It was very scenic and popular with international tourists. I was working in Basel which does not have any lakes, Alps or tourists so this was a change!
The Rigi mountain boasts stunning scenic views of the surrounding lakes and is renowned for activities like skiing, sledding, and hiking. It offers a panoramic view of the Swiss Alps and can be accessed via the Golden Round Trip. Visitors to Lucerne should not miss exploring its charismatic old town or visiting the Victorianox Museum to personalize their own Swiss Army Knife.
This mountain is easy to climb. Has good paths to go on and those views are stunning. At top is beautiful and you got nice view over the Alps but it is very touristic as trains come there also. But let it not stop you from walking much more fun and more to see. 1806 meters. Don't forget it's cold at the top or may rain 😉.

Absolutely stunning! I recomend bringing warm clothes even in the summer and checking the weather in advance to see if the visibility is high so that you don’t spend a lot of money to see only clouds. I also think the tickets to visit are a bit too expensive for what is offered. However, it was truly a stunning place to visit, completely worth it. I also recomend exploring other peeks around the top of the Rigi because the views are truly breathtaking! We chose to climb up to one of the peeks that are near the first train stop after the Rigi, it was a harder climb, but totally worth it!

One of our favorite places during our trip.
Wonderful view.
Si many view points up here.

Rigi - The Queen of the Mountains is the place above Luzern with an amazing 360 degree view of the lakes down below. You get by train the top of the mountain, have a lunch and then walk down the hill and you can choose one of many trails.

Rigi, the queen of the mountains! Regardless of whether you take the rack railway or the many different hiking trails, the view over beautiful central Switzerland is definitely worth seeing!

It must be visited when it’s nice weather. There are a lot of ways how to reach the top and even if you don’t wanna walk up by foot you can get a train and comfortable ride to the top.
I guess, sunrises or sunsets might be amazing for watching in summer days 🏔️🌇🌆

A definite must visit during winter or spring as you get to take a boat ride on lake Lucerne with picturesque views, followed by a cogwheel ride up. Lots of photo opportunities above and you can take hikes down depending on your fitness. There’s some restaurants above as well.

Just WoW. The best option is to take the cogwheel train from Vitznau. The views are mesmerizing. On the cogwheel train from Vitznau take the left hand seats for best views.

Came here in December and the views are truly amazing. I recommend taking the cogwheel up to Rigi Kulm and then walk down the mountain to experience the drastic change of scenery, from a snowy mountain to snow intertwining green grass to big grass field.
You can also try sledging or skiing here if you like. You can rent the sledge at the store just beside Rigi Kulm.

Mount Rigi is an absolutely stunning place to visit on a beautiful winter's day. The clear blue sky & bright sunshine create a magical atmosphere, making the snow-covered landscape sparkle & shine. The views from the top of the mountain are simply breathtaking, with the surrounding alpine peaks glistening in the sunshine. Mount Rigi is a perfect destination for experiencing the beauty of nature in its winter wonderland. It's an unforgettable experience that's sure to leave a lasting impression.

Gorgeous view on the top. On one side, it’s alpine meadow, with the white peaks of the Alps as the background; one the other side, it’s Switzerland’s endless plain with towns and lakes. Definitely worth a visit (The transportation from Lucerne to the top of Rigi is totally included in the Swiss Travel Pass).

Phenomenal!!! The views are out of this world! It’s like you’re in a dream! It is really the queen of mountains! There are many hiking trails there. Both short and long ones. I hiked down the mountain to get to a cheese factory in the heart of the mountain and bought some local cheese and one beer for thr road 😄.
Amazing experience! Try going both by the cogwheel and the cable car.

Mount Pilatus is a prominent mountain peak in Switzerland that boasts of sweeping views, a restaurant, and a hotel accessible through cable cars, gondolas, and railways. It can be reached via the Golden Round Trip which provides an unforgettable experience of the Swiss Alps. Visitors staying in Lucerne can easily commute to Mount Pilatus via public trains or by renting a car from Zurich Airport.
Number 1 attraction in Luzern... 360 view is breathtaking.. you can see all lakes around..
Be careful last gondola is at 16:30...

The views from the top is just breathtaking. So easily reachable from Lucerne town centre. We went up the cable car and down via the steepest tram. Everywhere you look is so awe inspiring. Beautiful!
KS Lok — Google review
The visibility can be tricky due to the clouds so I would advise go a little bit later during the day. The cart all the way up (return) was around 70 e per person.
There is a parking near by that cost us 5 euro for 5 hours.
There are restaurants all the way up. We took fries, coke and pretzel for total of 17e
The hill itself has few small hikes around the peak which is great.
It is possible to hike all the way up or down from the peak.
Justyna Liska — Google review
Wonderful place with a fantastic scenery. A lot of short (but steep) trails and beautiful climb up by the cable car. Take the time to visit the area half way up. It provides a different and nice angle.
It is better to take some snacks and drinks with you since the food and drink prices at the shops are as high as the mountain itself.

The views when we went up on the cog-wheel train were absolutely stunning, and I really enjoyed them. But when we reached the top, some clouds came and covered the great views. However, even with the clouds, it was still an amazing experience that I'll remember.

Amazing! All the way up in the cable cars was so breathtaking with the beautiful view of Luzern city, the lake and the mountains with beautiful landscapes, the walking to the peak though it was so windy and cold but it was worth it!! Walking in the cave is also a must!

The view is extraordinary. Worth going if don't mind the high cost of the transportation up to the peak.
The transport is calm a clean and nice view through the entire way (depends the weather)
Not too much activity up there, after 1 hour had enough view and hot chocolate rest.

Stunning views and the freshest air you could dream of! The cow bells can be heard everywhere. We went up in the first car, so it wasn't busy at all. Make sure to bring walking shoes, as the hike up to the top can be a bit daunting.

What an amazing experience. From my travelling experience, what makes Switzerland better than most countries is the infrastructure. You go the most remote locations and you will find trains, trams, buses and shops. Plus, very rarely do you not get phone reception. Amazing experience for a weekend.

The day that we were here was cloudy ☁️
So didn't enjoy the view much.
There were many tourists just like some other mountains in Switzerland.
I was not enjoy much here tho.

Mount Pilatus was only white fog for us. There was a tonne of crowd with us waiting for the clouds to go away! But the ride up the gondola and the view is beautiful. The fun thing is that we can get down at any of the stops and hike up or down as per our choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the clouds above, it felt like we were in heaven 😂, everything was blanket white. We hiked down a few kilometres till the last gondola stop. And the walk is steep but very very scenic. If you have the will and stamina, walk down a bit. It’s absolutely beautiful valley and the views are amazing 😍

We took the cable car up and cogwheel train down. This way we avoided the big crowd. We also missed the best ferry schedule so we went back to Luzern, visited the museum and then we took a evening cruise to Weggis. It was a perfect day spent in Luzern.

It was one of the best trips we’ve had in Switzerland. There are different routes to do it, we chose to go with the boat from Luzern, then the funicular up the mountain and then the gondola and cable car down to Kriens and the bus back to Luzern - it was absolutely brilliant. Took a total of 5 - 5.5 hours from the moment we got on the boat. It is recommended to reserve a time slot for the cogwheel train otherwise you would need to wait more.

Picturesquare views from the top. Price from Kulm to Pilatus and back was 62 CHF, but it really pays off. I was at the beginning of march, aby 0 degrees on top, and wind. Not crowded, but I expect it is in high season. In Kulm you can find parking, 5 CHF for whole day, so not too expensive. I definitely recommed to visit Pilatus if you are in Switzerland.

The view from the pick is absolutely stunning! The round trip ticket with the cable car cost 78 CHF. I went on Sunday so the line for taking the gondola was huge. I waited 30-40 min in the line despite the fact that I had an online ticket purchased before.
You should consider 2-3 hours at the peak of the mountain. There are several points to eat, souvenir
and Swiss watches shops and restaurants.
Don't forget to wear comfy clothes and shoes, otherwise it will be difficult to hike.
The Chapel Bridge in Lucerne is a wooden bridge that spans the Reuss River. It is one of the oldest covered bridges in Europe, and it is named after nearby St. Peter's Chapel. The octagonal water tower, built in the early 14th century, is the city's most photographed landmark.
Beautiful place for sightseeing. The old wooden bridge has a sad history but pretty to look at. One can easily roam the entire city and admire the old Town architecture.
The lake has many swans and ducks swimming, it's very cute. Do take a walk in the bridge.

The oldest bridge in Europe. You can read the historical facts online or follow one of the many walking tours available to grasp its significance.
This bridge provides a different architecture scene compared to its surrounding. Yet it does not seem out of place. Rather, it elevates the scenery as one of the most picturesque in Luzerne.
There are tons of alfresco dining available around the area which allows you to enjoy the scenery while eating and drinking.
Because of its popularity with tours and tourists, this bridge can be very crowded and will be difficult to navigate.

It's gorgeous and it's for free. What's not to like? It's worth noting there are stairs involved so there are some potential accessibility issues if you are not so mobile or have a stroller with you (like we did). Wasn't too busy when we visited (end of winter) but I can see this bridge getting packed with tourists during more popular times.

We visited world's oldest truss bridge today and happily ticked one item off our bucket list. This bridge restored after a fire in the 90s still has some of the original paintings left in it. It's at the centre of town connecting the two banks and looks wonderful with the water tower beside it.

Iconic landmark of Lucerne. Aside from the incredible lake, it's a must-see, or you have never been to this city. But it's busy, crazy busy, and you need to be patient to get that shot. I wished we had more time to see more sights of this lovely city, maybe another day.

Rathaus Stadt Luzern is an impressive Italian Renaissance-style town hall that has been a significant building in Lucerne for centuries. Designed by Anton Isenmann and constructed between 1602 and 1606, it serves as the seat of government. The Lion Monument is a significant tourist attraction in Lucerne, Switzerland. It depicts a lion carved out of natural sandstone rock, which appears to be dying from being impaled by a broken spear. The monument was built to honor Swiss mercenaries who lost their lives while defending King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette during the attack on Tuileries Palace in 1792.
This Monument is a must visit when in Lucerne. There is a nice Cafe there to grab a drink or small meal as well. A quick place to visit.

The Lion Monument is a truly captivating piece of art that embodies deep emotion and historical significance. Carved into the rock face, this monument depicts a dying lion, a powerful symbol of courage and sacrifice. The intricacy of the sculpture's details, from the texture of the lion's fur to the facial expressions, is simply remarkable. The setting, surrounded by a tranquil pond and lush vegetation, adds to the monument's impact, creating a reflective and solemn atmosphere. The Kunsthaus Zürich is a major art museum with a European collection dating back to the 15th century. It also has temporary exhibits, and is home to some of the most famous works of art in history by masters like Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti and Vincent van Gogh. The Swiss National Museum is an important stop for anyone wanting to gain basic knowledge about Switzerland and its people.
One of my favorite places to visit in Zurich. Amazing construction are my first words. Staff and employees at the highest level. A real home of art. I have visited too many places like this, but here I was very positively surprised. I would rate the current program with the highest marks. The part dedicated to Yoko Ono to be experienced is not told. The price is adjusted to the standard of the state and the city. If you are a student you get a discount on a ticket. According to the information I received there, Wednesday is a day when admission is free. The room with the lights is fantastic, would it be good to write a real fantasy. My rating is 10/10. The pinnacle of capitalist art collection. Absolutely stunning pieces of art, exhibited in not less stunning interiors. The space and air given to the art works really underlines their impact. Of course, this whole complex is a manifestation of what 400 years of capital accumulation can lead to - a temple of capitalism, embodied by thousands of precious relics.

Very incredible collection of art despite some controversy about the collectors history. I spent 2 hours but started rushing through the second building. I’d recommend 3-4 for a in-depth visit.
The Grossmunster is a large, Romanesque church in Zurich that is popular for its ties to the Protestant Reformation. It's unmissable in the city's skyline and one of the most important churches in the country.
This is a beautiful church and a landmark of Zurich. We had a chance to walk up the tower and the view of the city was spectacular.
Catherine Hunt — Google review
This is the church with twin towers that is highly recommended by locals and is iconic of Zurich. Too bad that Swiss Travel Pass isn’t eligible for the church’s admission. The gentleman who sells the ticket was very friendly and polite. The church has a beautiful organ and the stained glasses are beautiful.

We were told that this would be a good sightseeing.
It definitely was.
Very old building which is still in good condition. The glass windows were mesmirizing.
It's free to get in and it is easy to walk through.
The detail is not as elaborate as one normally sees in as old churches and in southern Europe but still very majestic.

It's a symbol in Zurich. You can go up to the tower at 5 swiss francs for adults and 2 francs for students. You will see the panoramic view of the Zurich and it's better to visit in the morning or in the evening. You will see other 2 churches across the river.

The church is located in the heart of the city and is one of the most iconic and important landmarks in Zurich. The church is known for its twin towers and its Romanesque architecture. The church also has a rich history, dating back to the 12th century. The church is open to the public, and there is a small entrance fee to visit the church, but it's definitely worth it. The staff is friendly and helpful. The view from the top of the towers is also beautiful, and it offers a great vantage point to see the city.

Think the doors are my favorite part. It's such an amazing piece of architecture. Hopefully, the towers will be open next time.

When in Zürich pay a visit here.
This is a nice historic building and an functional church.
It will take 5-30 minutes to tour the insides (free) and 15-30 minutes to go to the top (a ticket is required).
And don't forget about the crypt, it hides some secrets!

A 12th century Romanesque-styled cathedral located in the heart of the city and is one of the most iconic and important landmarks in Zurich. Known for its twin towers design, it is a must-visit if you are in Zurich. What the Eiffel Tower is to Paris, Grossmünster is to Zurich!
Stewart Tan — Google review
Wonderful and historical church at the heart of Zurich with an imposing view. It's free to explore some parts of the interior but please be quiet and respectful. Outside the church there are some great photo ops overlooking Fraumunster and Zurich across the river.
Rashid Farook — Google review
A great church in the middle of the city and at the side of the river. Besides its importance, it also has great views at its garden. You must climb a few stairs to reach the church. Also there is a tower which is suitable to climb to the top. It definitely offers a breathtaking panoramic view of city of zurich from a very high point, possibly the highest man-made point in the city. But I must also say climbing to the tower might be challenging since staircase is narrow and tower is high
Mr. Whiskey — Google review
Climb the tower and get a nice air breeze and view of the city. I had Zürich card so admission was included. Don’t be afraid of climbing the stairs as they open up shortly after.
Fidea Andre — Google review
Impressive church. You can enter for free, there is a fee to visit the tower. Crypt is interesting. It is well maintained, bravo to the folks doing the upkeep.

Beautiful view of the city’s sunset and one of the must do’s when in Zurich. Would highly recommend going on a weekend to spend a quiet evening watching the sun go down.

The tower was closed, but we were still able to enter the church and look around and even without be able to climb the tower, it was worth visiting. Even our tween and teens enjoyed it! Since the tower was closed, it was free to enter. The carved entry door, agate windows and ornate organ were highlights.

The walk up to the tower is brutal. Nice collection of 16th century religious texts. Great organ. Nice Bullinger statue outside and cool Charlemagnes inside.

Great big church in the heart of city Zurich... One of the top ten things to visit in city... It's close to the main station, 10min walk... The entrance is free, but if you want to go up to the tower you must pay... There is always so much people around who take pictures and videos... All recommendations for visit if you are in Zurich...

The Zurich Zoologischer Garten (Zoo Zurich) is a zoo located in Zurich, Switzerland. It has more than 370 animal species in themed habitats and is among the most ethical zoos in the world. The Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park, which features part of an Indian elephant habitat that is in a modern biome, is especially impressive.
The zoo is huge with a huge variety of shops and stores, I’ve seen all age groups having outstanding time in here, plan accordingly so you can see everything out there and try every theme shop / coffeeshop. They have this amazing diner next to the Giraffes it’s just Awesome! A must go!

Very nice facilities, beautiful paths. Quite a lot to see and can take a while going around this place. Several gastronomic facilities, a places to eat inside (very interesting Thai corner).
It is very good organize and friendly for the kids. There is so many playground inside, real fun for the kids.
Just a small remark is that there are usually no parking spaces nearby, the host provided enough parking spaces some 1.2 km away from the ZOO itself and organized a shuttle bus that transports visitors to the ZOO and back.
And you can use public transport, both the bus and the tram itself.

A good outing with my daughter and friends last autumn. Lots of animals to see/explore but Elephant show was the highlight of the day. Overall an enjoyable day despite the weather.

Zurich Zoo is a great place for animal and nature enthusiasts. The bird aviaries offer a fascinating experience as birds fly freely in spacious enclosures, showcasing their vibrant plumage and graceful flight patterns. The giraffe exhibit is impressive, and their majestic presence is captivating. The big room with trees and animals provides an immersive environment, giving visitors a sense of being in a natural setting. The zoo's commitment to spacious and comfortable habitats for the animals is commendable, making it an educational and enjoyable destination to learn about wildlife and conservation. 🐦🦒🌳🐾

Despite the relatively cold weather most animals looked happy and thriving. Not the greatest variety of animals to see but the still a fun place to visit especially with the kids. The large greenhouse was an experience by itself, but when I opened the last door I found myself out of the zoo and had to walk back to the entrance! Good thing that I kept my tickets. tramline 6 has a final stop that is a five minute walk from the zoo.

They have different animals, some you can see in an air conditioned large rooms and some are outdoor, the zoo is organized and have different shops inside. Most areas of the zoo support trolleys and special needs wheelchairs. We tried the rice and vegetable curry and it was good.

Honestly an amazing experience. I've been here 4 times over the last 2 years and there is always something more to see. The zoo is always doing more to add amazing animal friendly enclosures. There are a few that feel "sad" but for 95% its a great Habitat.

I loved it so much!! But it was hot so I’ll prefer we go in spring but I had so much fun! And I prefer you guys go in the weekdays because it doesn’t get crowded but anyways i highly recommend going there!!

Really nice Zoo, we went there after lunchtime (15:00) and there were no queues and it was super quick to get in.
The park was not too crowded at this time either, which in turn gave us a really nice experience as well.
I think this may be the reason many of the animals did not hide, so it was nice to be able to see so many of them!
After we walked through the full park, we treated ourselves a mini-safari-train back!
Ole Sollie — Google review
This is a wonderful place, but it’s probably better to call it not a zoo, but a natural park where there are animals. Of course, I understand everything perfectly well, animals need space, they need a natural environment, but half of the animals are not visible because they are hiding... but in principle, honestly, I was satisfied today

Easy to get there with the tram. No waiting times if you order and print your tickets in advance. Nice, clean and good cared. Great areas for animals and visitors. Beautiful and interesting new buildings. Even on a rainy day nice to visit.

Very good place for a day out. It has a massive indoor Rain forrest. A lot of good animal sanctuaries in the zoo. Most of the animals are living in a huge natural open environment. Only the penguins felt like they are in a prison. Overall a good zoo.

Easy to reach from Zurich HB , Zoo is very huge , animals and birds well care . Enough space for them and close to their natural space. Tips : zoo is very big comfortable shoes is must ! Snakes abs water is allowed. Feed animals not allowed , to cut bamboo for home as souvenir is prohibited! There is a big shop with unique souvenirs with friendly prices !

Great place to visit. Was worried about parking as I visited on a Saturday but this was very well organised and lots of spaces.
The attractions are great. Had to revise our route due to the car park we parked at and entering the park at a side entrance (hint this was much less busy than the main entrance).
My favourites were the elephants and gorillas. The gift shops and restaurants were good to.
Highly recommended. 5*****

It's big but expensive. There were a lot of empty enclosures, which is a shame for what we paid. Also first time ever I got to be so close to the giraffes! Also half the park is under construction until 2025 (lion area)

We love the Bahnhofstrasse! Every time when we visited Zurich, we would always dropped by the Bahnhofstrasse!
This long shopping street is in the heart of Zurich, it runs through from North to South, which begins from the train station & end at the edge of the Zurich lake.
Being one of the most expensive shopping streets in Europe & the main commercial hub in Zurich, you would be surprised that you could still find many shops that are very affordable for normal people, I.e. H&M, Adidas, Nike...etc. The closer to the lake, the more expensive they are. (i.e. lined with upmarket shops selling jewelleries or Rolax...etc.) There are also serval lovely but very affordable restaurants located on the side streets along Bahnhofstrasse.
The street is always very clean and there are tramlines running along it. It is very easy to walk & we love it!

So many familiar designer stores and nice restaurants and café lining this lively street, with the road run by their electric trams. There is also a small plaza along the street and giant Swiss flags hang from overhead wires. The streets are surprisingly clean for a very busy and expensive street. Truly combines elements of the old Swiss world, and the more modern ways. You can also get views of both the Grossmünster and Frausmünster from here.

As you can see in the pictures - there’s no lack of fun and exploration at this place. My brains couldn’t take more than 20 activities and my husband’s neural pathways were overwhelmed by the end of the first level. It’s a place to feel FOMO so be cautious not to overstimulate your cognitive abilities (or inabilities) because you’ll need more bandwidth for the kids later at home 🤭 Most kids would like this. Mine not so much because he has sensory processing disorder. Those with auditory and vision processing challenges might find it overstimulating indoors (both the space, people and activities) so do head out to the musical and multi sensory garden for some much needed downtime.
