An absolute must for Beksiński fans. A large portion of its best pieces are here, along with the entirety of his varsovian studio. The museum is a bit weird as prehistoric remains, sacred icons and modern paintings are shown together with Beksiński operas, making for an unsettling switching from a period of art to another.
It is possible to skip any parts so if you just want to see Beksiński paintings, studio and photographers, you can.

I’ve always wanted to go here and it did not disappoint.
A beautiful building that encloses most of Beksinski’s work.
However, there was a very annoying security guard that was supposed to be incognito. However, this was not the case. He invaded our personal space all the way around. So for that and feeling uncomfortable it cannot be a 5* experience.
James — Google review
The only comprehensive gallery of Z. Beksiński works. A must-visit when in Sanok.

For me very interesting, not just the work of the artist, but the presentation of his work place, etc. I think it's not waist of your time.
Spacious open-air ethnographic museum with a village portraying traditional life & architecture.
I love visiting such places, it is a time travel experience, lovely set up of original and rebuild architecture and folklore of the past, a unique place!!!

This is the biggest in Poland museum of folk. Full of amazing indoors, rustic and orginal. In the middle of this air open museum is main square where you can find a lot of shops, refreshments, handmade staff. You need 3 hours at least to walk around.

I love places like this one. So much history! We walked through it all, admired the architecture, the trees and the peace of this special place. Finished the visit with coffee and cake at the old patisserie. Yum!
Free entry on Mondays!
Kamila Simms — Google review
The whole place is being very well taken care off and it is quite big compared to other similar exhibitions. A regular ticket costs only 17 zł and you usually spend there about 2 hours. Kids and pets friendly.
Magda Bekou — Google review
Very interesting. And eye opening when you learn the conditions people used to live in until 1950s. Kids friendly. Guided tour recommended.
Bartek Narożny — Google review
Visited this place on my way to Ukraine. A great inside to the architecture throughout the ages. Whilst I didn't opt to learn the history if each building I found the area great for a beautiful walk outdoors.
The area educates you on the buildings of our ancestors from around the world. Allowing you to look inside and even speak to more knowledgeable people especially with the mountain rescue building.
You'll also find stalls in the 'village square'selling souvenirs. And best if all a woman selling polish cheese near the entrance/exit.

Very well run organization. The QR code for the audio guide, printed at Majdan station, doesn't work on the latest Android, but the app and audio guide can be downloaded from the play store by searching for "bieszczadzka kolejka leśna"

A very relaxing train ride, about 45 mins long. The train stops at the end and you get half an hour to walk in the forest (and cross over to Slovakia), have a hot drink / snack from one of the stalls, or visit a Slovakian shop (try the Studencka chocolate :-) ). Then you get back on the train and head back.

The track is beautiful, the train is a retro style with old Roumanian engine. The parking is limited and chaotic slightly, especially after the first train.

Palanok Castle is a former fortress and popular tourist attraction located on top of a 68-meter-high volcano in Mukacheve. This 14th-century castle offers breathtaking views from the hilltop and features souvenir shops as well as a museum. It is known for its association with Sandor Petofi, the Hungarian national poet, who was held here during its time serving as an Austrian prison.
Very nice big castle, which is consist from 3 castle. Castles are from different century.
Fee is 100 UAH per adults.
Parking is possible on the street under the castle.
Tomáš Zázvorka — Google review
1.9.2023 100 UAH fee,no access uphill by car anymore-15mins by feet and parking might be quite an adventure, a lot of exhibitions closed, very good new animation movie in little cinema.

Amazing place, you can find it romantic and majestic at the same time
A lot of interesting locations, sadly it's Covid pandemic, so we weren't able to enter each exposition, but a lot of them were opened. Highly recommend for visiting
Nico Popovich — Google review
It was nice overall, you can learn about history, legends and have a view over the town of Mukachevo. The only issue is that more than half of the museums were closed as usual.
You have the opportunity to get a tour guide and some souvenirs. Also, it's a good idea to visit the castle 🏰 for the night view of the town, the castle closes at 5pm.
Timika Szegedi — Google review
History always had a dark side to itself and this castle is not less than any other. The castle was build for sake of love but the Queen left the castle and ended up in church too clean up after the ceremonies and Sunday gatherings.
Not like castles you will find in England and Europe.
Alexander Alec — Google review
Best castle in Ukraine. No caps!
You won’t find any better castle in entire Ukraine. Pleasant guide tour, revitalized buildings and brilliant view onto Mukachevo city. Fond of Palanok castle.
Y Kuhta — Google review
Wow. A must visit! Gorgeous castle dating back almost a thousand years (with changes over time) and stunning views of the surrounding country and Eastern Carpathians. If you do one thing in Mukacheve, do this.
Zelig Steiner — Google review
Fantastic place! Big castle to explore with a lot of history and great views of the city. A torture chamber to explore the evils of humanity while sipping on mulled wine. My only critique would be that instead of hosting a few modern art galleries in some of the wings of the castle they should recreate the rooms with how the room world have looked at certain time periods with furniture, etc. No one wants to see modern art in a castle.
Allstarrunnrr — Google review
Simply amazing castle! I enjoyed immensely exploring every bit of it I could. The views are enchanting, one can just imagine how life a few centuries ago looked like.
I’m admiring the staff’s attitude too - you only have to pay for the entrance (and for a guide, if you like), there are no extra charges of any kind once you are in. Btw, there is drinkable water pumped from the well - just the thing in the hot summer!

Bieszczady Mountains [bʲɛˈʂt͡ʂadɨ] (Polish: Bieszczady; Slovak: Beščady; Ukrainian: Бещади; Hungarian: Besszádok) is a mountain range that runs from the extreme south-east of Poland and north-east of Slovakia through to western Ukraine. It forms the western part of the Eastern Beskids (Polish: Beskidy Wschodnie; Ukrainian: Східні Бескиди), and is more generally part of the Outer Eastern Carpathians. The mountain range is situated between the Łupków Pass (640 m) and the Vyshkovskyi Pass (933 m). The highest peak of Bieszczady is Mt Pikui (1405 m) in Ukraine. The highest peak of the Polish part is Tarnica (1346 m).

One of the best national parks in Poland. Beautiful nature and scenery. Great place to take kids. If you have the time, I would highly recommend spending at least a few days hiking some of the mountains which are very doable with kids.

Especially during autumn time, with good visibility, beautiful landscapes views full of mountains and colors. A lot of variety trails. Not many shelters, and in some of them it is not possible to pay by card.

Excellent place to calm down. Great views, raw nature. The mountains are not very high so you can enjoy it even if you are not a highlander type. The people are very helpful and friendly. You can always find great restaurants with cold beer and tasty regional food at down the mountains. There are plenty of agroturistic location's where you can stay at night. Also hostels, hotels and safe places.

Undescribable beauty.. There are no exceptionally tall peaks here, but the natural beauty is amazing. You will need several days just to get a god idea of the area.

Nice hike. Great view. A little more on the busy side, but a short hike ~11km to the top and back.

Palace of the Counts of Schönborn has a very beautiful authentic facade, great place for making stunning pictures
The territory also has an old well-looking park with really old trees and lake, nice place for a stroll
That’s probably the only good things in here
This monumental building became a sanatorium and not the best one, inside everything are old and shabby, very depressing really
You have to pay a entrance fee, but got no check in return and you can tell those money don’t serve this place, unfortunately no renovations at all
But if you happen to be around you should take a look

Mohammed's Alt — Google review
Old palace of Shenborn family, has an interesting story where every window, tower and room represents something. Accessible inside where you can see the original fireplace, chandelier and staircases with detailed wood and metal work. The place is a popular destination for wedding photography of local people and looks as great in sun rays as in dark clouds. Not so well maintained inside but nevertheless full of charm. The palace territory is also home to a nice lake and park area. Set aside few hours, or visit on the way to Palanok castle.

Unfortunately, my room was dirty. Upon checking in at 14:00 I noticed that there was still s**t in the toilet from the previous guest. I have reported it to the reception and I was told they will take care of it. Unfortunately when I returned to my room after the wedding reception (at 3am) the s**t was still there... I was not offered another room nor was the toilet cleaned.

Rather beautiful palace that you can see both inside and outside. The inside has several halls that you can visit with a guide. The walls are nicely restored and the palace looks quite nice. And you can also go around the palace and enjoy the garden. Of course, it’s better to do in warm time of the year. There is on-site hotel next to the palace where you can stay. There is a restaurant on the ground as well. Please, note that you need to pay to enter this park. Parking is also possible inside if you visit the restaurant. If you visit the park/palace only, you need to find parking outside. In general it’s a good place to visit, take a walk, try some food, etc.

Amazing castle, steeped in history. Absolute must for a visit if you are in this part of Poland. Well worth getting a guided tour great story telling by the guide too (although hardly impartial!). It does, however have a fascinating history.
Dungeons are interesting too, in a weird sort of way, never ceases to amaze me how cruel people can be to each other.

Great place to visit, especially if the weather is good. The castle park is quite flat and accessible, and a gentle stroll will see half an hour to forty five minutes used well. Food in the castle restaurant is very good and well priced, and service is consistently excellent.
Howard Bright — Google review
My great-grandparents met in at this castle. One was working and the other living there. So I was rather interested in staying. What a disappointment!
The vast majority of the rooms are in an unattractive outbuilding. The unappealing restaurant is over-lit with fluorescent lights in a corner of the main area.
The arboretum is nice, but the castle itself has been cheaply over-restored and is quite simply, tacky. There are much better sights in the area and regions, let alone places to spend the night.
Jon Schubin — Google review
nice place overall. enjoyed our stay at the hotel, restaurant clearly understaffed, food so-so, except breakfast. Garden worth seeing but be beware of killer mosquitoes. Funny thing we had no time to see the castle itself as it was our starting point for other trips.

(Translated by Google) Pros: location, not far from the train station, about 1 km. Clean, well renovated, friendly host. There is coffee, tea. Free Wi-Fi. Cons: a very steep climb to the entrance to the apartment, as well as steep stairs and very, very difficult to carry heavy suitcases to the 2nd floor of the apartment, there is no elevator. It was necessary to warn. The pillows are really bad. Small and not comfortable. It is surprising that the owner did not give a bottle of water. Thank you.

(Translated by Google) Apartment in the city center. Of the pluses, parking, convenient communication with the owner, it's very nice that there are goodies and coffee in the apartment. It seems to have everything you need. Cons - it's a bit loud, but that's normal, because it's in the center. The biggest minus - there was no bed for the sofa and the child had to sleep with us, and the bed is not very big and strong. Also, the door to the toilet does not close and all the doors are a bit old

Very beautiful! It is like a forest inside the city. I suspect it was a really forest in the past. A lot of squirrels, that you might to feed. Very green, clean and fresh air!
Olha — Google review
Totally wasted place. It cries for renovation at least for last 20 years. It's a shame to have central park of major tourist site in such a disastrous state.
Most of the park trails have asphalt remains, that remember iron boot of soviet regime. You simply cannot pass there with baby stroller, on a scooter or wheelchair for that matter. Stilleto shoes are also not an option. Funny enough some of such trails has signs for Nordic walking.
There's no public restroom of any kind — at least i could not find any or even a sign to it. But there's plenty of... hm... indication of lack of WC under some trees and bushes.
Small and abandoned stream runs through the park, carrying foul smell. But there's small puddle-like pond with couple duck, if you're into that kind of thing.
Bottom half of the park actually has some renovation happened but nothing impressive or even worth mentioning.
Summary: awful place, shame of local government and business, not worthy of visiting, but you probably will, bc there's nowhere to go for a walk in the town anyway

My girlfriend and I visited this park in late November of 2014. We found it to be very quiet and romantic. The park is large and gives one a good walk. We found the finches and squirrels to be quite entertaining. We enjoyed our time in the whole Truskavets area.

Located high between mountains and surrounded by the forest. If you are around you should definitely check it out, the way from the main road up to lake very beautiful and picturfull as well
You should pay entrance fee, which is not to expensive at all, but unfortunately I can’t say those money goes in purpose to landscaping. The front part of the lake surrounded by local people trying to sell you different authentic staff and the territory quite messy! But if you will follow the trail in forest around the lake you will enjoy the silent nature very much!

The castle is reminiscent of so much history of Western Ukraine, much of it forgotten and even more erased during the soviet days and WWII. While the exterior of it may some day be restored, the interior is long gone and will never represent the original castle. The castle served as a middle school at one time, and an apartment complex. Sadly, Zhovkva has a lot of its history buried under the ground, more than anyone will ever know about.
The Old Town Apartment is nestled in the charming streets of Lviv's historic district, offering a delightful culinary journey through local cuisine. As you wander through the cozy streets, you'll encounter numerous food stops that showcase the diverse flavors and culinary traditions of the area.
The Lviv Town Hall is a beautiful example of 19th century architecture featuring an elegant 65-meter clock tower with an observation deck. The building is a popular tourist destination due to its impressive features and location in the center of the city.

The church is a beautiful and peaceful place with an impressive history. It was originally built in 1378, but underwent a number of renovations during Soviet rule. After Ukraine gained independence, the church became the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.
This is an amazing church, you can feel the power of God. When you walk in, your eyes have to process the splendor. In combination with the silence it gives you goosebumps…

The architecture of the building is beautiful. Impressive is this construction of the former Dominican Cathedral.
This is one of the visiting cards of the cultural capital of Ukraine.
External and internal design is collected in a unique ensemble.
The church is built in the late Baroque style on the Western European model. Stone, in plan it depicts an elongated cross with an oval central part and two bell towers on the sides. The church is glorified by a huge elliptical dome. Massive double columns support galleries and lodges decorated with wooden statues by Lviv sculptors of the second half of the 18th century. Above the galleries are drum columns supporting the dome. Under the bath of the church is a quotation in Latin from the First Epistle to Timothy: "Soli Deo honor et gloria" ("Honor and praise to the One God"). I recommend to visit.

Lviv's High Castle towers over central Lviv, providing stunning views of the city. The ruined stone fort on the summit is little more than a memory, but what's left is a lovely place to walk and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Absolutely worthy place to visit in Lviv. The picturesque view on the city can be seen from the top of the mountain. A lot of tourists come here on weekends though

amazing place must visit there.
The High Castle is proximate to the centre of Lviv (see picture), formerly being surrounded by a fortification wall. The Castle Hill took its name from the High Castle (as opposed to the other, Low Castle), which used to be located on the hill from the 13th century to the late 19th century. The castle was a main defensive fort of the city during its existence.
As it follows from Rus' Chronicles, the first fortifying structures appeared on the Castle Hill in the time Halych-Volhynia, and were built by Leo I of Halych from wood. It was originally a wood and soil construction, as most others at that time. In 1259 by a request of Burunday Khan they were destroyed, but in 1270 were rebuilt. In 1340, when Lviv was captured by Casimir III of Poland the wooden castle was put under fire. In 1353 it was destroyed again by Lithuanians. A new brick castle appeared on the hill in 1362 by the king Casmimir III. It became the residence of Polish nobles. In 1537, the castle witnessed a rebellion known as Chicken War against Polish king Sigismund I the Old and his wife Bona Sforza.

Watching over Lviv from its northeastern fringe is High Castle Hill, the perch for the eponymous castle dating to 1250 but dismantled in the 19th century.
The hill crests at 413 metres, and setting off on foot from Market Square it takes about 25 minutes to reach the top.
The path is perfectly walkable, if a little taxing on the upper reaches, when the slope becomes very sharp.
But a bit of persistence will give you another sweeping view of Lviv, where you can compare the palaces, towers and spires of old Lviv with the Soviet housing blocks of the suburbs.
The castle is a ruin today, and there’s not much left apart from a wall.
But the journey is all about the view and the vegetation at the top: Come just at sunrise in summer and you may have it completely to yourself.

Paweł Kubalewski — Google review
Since the 1500s, Lviv’s most prominent figures have been laid to rest at this 40-hectare cemetery that has now been recognised as a national reserve.
Lychakiv Cemetery is the equivalent to Père Lachaise or Highgate and is treasured not just for its prestigious burials but the quality of the art that commemorates them.
Laid to rest here are Polish and Ukrainian members of the clergy, politicians, military leaders, scientists, architects (like Zygmunt Gorgolewski), soloists, aviators, surgeons and painters.
For Poles the cemetery is poignant as the burial place of the Lwów Eaglets, young militia members who were killed during the Polish-Ukrainian War in 1918-1919.

Castle with 16th- to 18th-century Ukrainian icons & other painting, sculpture, furniture & tapestry.
The castle is not very large and fascinating, but still, there are some things to see. It is kept well and the entrance fee is low. It is surrounded by a beautiful Park, where you can stroll and relax. It is good to go there for a couple of hours, as it is not far from Lviv. The territory of the complex isn't crowded even on weekends.

Great views from the wall and windows instead. Some very interesting artwork inside although none of the art is original to the castle, but it is the oldest castle in Ukraine and has seen it's share of conflicts and tragedies, like a large earthquake in the 1800's so you can't expect perfection.
The restaurant serves great traditional food and the staff were very friendly.

It's great. People take care of this castle. Also, they made a restaurant in castle. It is said, that it was real dining room.
Large castle built from 1635 to 1640 & burned in a fire, offering tours of the pared-down interior.
It was odd to find this beautiful castle in Ukraine’s country side. It is a nice place to explore. Apparently it is popular among ghost hunters.
What’s impressive is it’s fortification structures that are best seen on the model inside the castle.
Very beautiful panoramic views from the balcony.

It is very nice palace, and very impressive if to take into consideration there is almost a ruin, lots of stuff just been robed, the government doesn't give any money for years and decades already to make a renovation. It is really nothing inside, so why the admission is 90 uah the same as for another two palaces around here it's a mistery. It's used to be a movie scene for "Three musketeers" and now it's a sad place. 4 stars is for overpriced admission, and such sad ruin inside.

This place is really interesting to see.
We were 2 backpackers with my cousin, coming from Lviv to Loutsk.
It appears that finally a car drop us in Pidhirtsi and then we decided to go to this castle.
Warning: it's 2-3km from the road, and it's much higher. At the moment it was 33+ degree + our heavy bags 😄😅
The way by foot to arrive till the castle was a real adventure.

About the castle itself, the inside got burn. So the main reason to go there is to admire the view and take wonderful pictures :)

Unfortunately that's almost all that you can get from this castle - look from outside.
But I would really advise you too go there and spend some time here and around: nice cathedral nearby, also monastery and leftovers of medieval slavic town near monastery.
I wish this place to get funding and become great attraction soon.

Secondly, there are very few such landscapes (a lake in the center of the city) around the world. And in Europe it is only Geneva. Thirdly, there is a huge selection of ways to relax, which the lake gives to Ternopolyans - walks or runs along the beautiful embankment, sunbathing or swimming on two beaches. Fourth, enjoy food and drinks in several excellent restaurants and bars right on the coast. Fifth - boat trips with extremely beautiful views. Sixth - fishing. Seventh - sports and entertainment on the water.

По-четверте - насолода кухнею та напоями в декількох чудових ресторанах та барах прямісінько на узбережжі. По-пяте - прогулянки на катері з надзвичайно гарними краєвидами. По-шосте - риболовля. Lubart's Castle, dating back to the 14th century, is a fortified structure featuring three towers integrated into its walls. While information about the castle may be limited, it remains an intriguing and historic destination. Visitors have the opportunity to engage in archery activities at the castle, which proved to be more challenging than expected.

I love the ancient atmosphere of Lubart's castle. observation decks provide great view and transfer you back to ancient 1000 century.
The 28 meter-high Entrance Tower of Lutsk Castle was where the idea of a united Europe was voiced for the first time. And it happened in 1429. You need to see it at least once.
The story of Danylo Bratkivsky is really moving.

Nico Popovich — Google review
To date, only ancient chronicles indicate that the stone walls were formerly made of wood, which also successfully deterred the enemy. In 1331, the son of the Lithuanian prince Lubart married Agrippina, the daughter of the ruler of the Galicia-Volyn principality. He accepted the Orthodox faith and in 1340 ascended the throne. It was he who ordered the construction of stone walls instead of wooden ones. 1340 is considered the year of foundation of Lutsk Castle. Its construction was carried out of brick. In addition, a dam was built on the river Styr, which raised the water level around the fortress. In 1366 the city was captured by Polish troops and since then Lutsk has become not only the permanent residence of the prince, but also the capital of the principality.
The reliability of the fortress was well known in European countries. Not surprisingly, it was here, in the Upper Castle in Lutsk, that the Congress of Monarchs of 1429 was held. By today's standards, that convention can be equated to a G-8 meeting. 15,000 people came to Luchesk (Lutsk) to discuss the most pressing political and economic problems.
Lubart's castle, as its locals called it, will withstand more than one assault and more than one siege. Tatars and Poles tried to capture Lutsk. However, over time, due to the fact that money for the maintenance of fortress buildings was stolen by officials, the castle, as a defensive structure, fell into disrepair. This led to the fact that in 1595 the army of Severin Nalyvayko captured the fortress city, receiving a large contribution from the townspeople.
After that, Lutsk Castle finally lost its fortification function. Now it served only to house the administration and the courts, of which there were five: the city, zemstvo, sub-chamber, hood and Lutsk tribunals.
This Castle was not conquered by the Golden Horde! But later, he and Ukraine were captured by the Soviet evil empire.

I've seen the torture exhibition only - nothing special.

The castle itself is pretty huge and has different little museums on its territory. Honestly, can't say that the experience is unbelievable because of this situation: museum of tortures have pictures where is depicted how every method and instrument works, with blood, pornography (for example impalement). And there is no warning or age limit, so people with 2-3 y.o. kids visit this museum without knowing about explicit content before entering. A worker neither explained why it is so nor apologized.

Long arched tunnel of trees branches & greenery over a train track, known as a romantic destination.
Just as beautiful as the pictures make it seem. If you plan on visiting i would recommend coming with your own transport. The place can get very crowded with bus tours but luckily they all do just a very brief visit. If you're willing to wait 10-20 minutes at the little cafe near the start of the track you will most likely have an opportunity to have the track all to yourself. The exact spot where i believe all the travel book photos are taken is about a flat 1km walk from the start.

It's a beautiful little zoo which is built into the woods. That's why you feel the connection to nature and the animals are a little more in their natural habitat.
There are quite many different animals, but generally the space for each animal could be bigger.
Also to go into the very small terrarium you have to pay extra and enter through separate entrance. The terrarium's animals really have only little space, e.G. snakes which only barely fit in their cage. Therefore one star less.
Additionally there is a little playground for children to play, with attractions. The use of the playground is included in the base price, but the attractions again cost extra.

Very interesting museum, honoring a very important space scientist, but needs much more advetising and publicity.

What a gem! Made a detour of several hundred kilometres to visit this place and were nearly denied entry due to early closure on independence day. Fortunately the kind staff showed sympathy and let us in on the condition we were quiet and didn't disturb the talk on mushrooms (?!) being given in the museum. Thank you! Loads of very cool stuff including a real Soyuz reentry capsule that successfully made the trip...

Brilliant guided tour here English. Great and enriching insight into the story Soviet Cosmology and its amazing feats of engineering. Most impressed by the significance of Ukraine's part in it and its later capacity to provide design for NASA and the European Space Agency.
Restored fortlike paper mill with landscaped grounds & exhibits of religious icons & sculptures.
Great castle. As suggested by other contributors take a blanket and some food with you, you can arrange your own picturesque picnic. Worth visiting the show where they replicate making of paper and printing the way it had been done centuries ago. This show starts at the beginning of each hour, if I'm not mistaken.
It took our family of 3 couple hours to enjoy the castle and its premises.

Really nice location, beautiful scenery and design. The castle itself is well renovated and preserved. However, we stayed for two nights and were extremely disappointed by the food and service. The food served by the hotel restaurant is simple and too expensive. We felt like we were bothering them. The room was not cleaned the second day and we were told by the personal that this was common practice.
Special thank you note to Yuliya who was really helpful, professional and hospitable.

Nicely maintained place, there is a park outside and a well kept estate with a hotel and medieval icons museum inside. Everything is beautiful, though the territory is rather small and it's hard to spend more than 2 hours here. A boat can be rent beside the lake.

A lot more interesting than it looks overall, there's a huge assortment of religious paintings collected with different painting styles from all over Ukraine. Park is beautifully maintained. There's nothing to visit around it though, and the road to it is pretty bad - riddled with holes that can potentially damage your car.

Awesome place, a must see! Best in the Summer or Spring time when the flowers are in full bloom. Great place for a date also. Shows a lot of great history of this area and the major trade routes that passed in through here back in the day.

Nice, cosy and clean place, neat surrounding park. The castle is in very good condition. The only reason not to mark five stars is that interior is fully commemorated to religious icons and there is almost no medieval or related items.

Castle – the Museum of Ukrainian Home Icons. They were painted in XVII-XX centuries. Its exhibition of Christian art objects, named “The Soul of Ukraine”, is the biggest one in Ukraine. Today they are open for visitors of the Museum’s exhibition halls where has been collecting and saving from destruction over 5000 home icons for 15 years.
This collection represents the philosophy of thousand Ukrainian families from different regions of the country audits evolution throughout centuries. But in all times the Ukrainian home icons have been family heirlooms painted for individual spiritual needs of every person in family. Here you can find home Iconostasis /wall of icons/, small travelling icons, Cossack icons, Hutsul folding icons, the icons painted on canvas, casted of metal and carved on wood and also ancient wooden and stone sculptures. Travelers call all museum exhibits as “orphan” icons, thrown out of houses and saved from destruction in the times of aggressive atheism. Some of them were damaged when faith of God was persecuted.
Paper Mill Reviving good traditions of the paper mill of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, the manual production of paper, practiced by Orthodox monks 400 years ago, for further book-publishing, was restored in the Castle. The Castle’s paper production line uses the same equipment that was used in XVII century. The paper made in Radomysl was used for printing “Chasoslov” (The Book of Hours”) – the first book ever published in Kyiv, in 1616.
The Castle’s Landscape Park, little but comfortable and nice. Only here you can see a dozen of unique kinds of iris, bred and granted to the Park by Igor Khorosh, a Ukrainian plant breeder; pink and white water lilies, English roses, magnolias and also a water-nut, Trapa rossica, enlisted into The Red Book. All exhibits are genuine!

Great getaway place w Bed@Breakfast. Taste the local food with waiters serving in folk outfits. Great customer service. If you value Ukrainian traditional icons, they have a great collection on exhibition
An arboretum & zoo are among the attractions at this big, historic park with ponds & walking paths.
Oh what a beautiful and peaceful place. The air is so relaxing and the birds sing in tour ears. I think Autumn is the best time to visit. The colored leaves make the experience even more exceptional. I love this place. You can rent bicycles and and electric scooters at the gate.

Incredibly beautiful park, especially in the autumn, during the Indian summer. Very big, one of the largest (if not the the largest) parks in Ukraine, so if plan to visit it and to see every of its corners, be ready spend all your day on it (the park is open till 10 PM, but it lacks the lighting, so don't stay there till it gets dark). There are many buses connecting Kyiv and Bila Tserkva (departing from central railway station and Lybidska Kyiv Metro station), some of them go directly to the park. Entry tickets are valid for a day and are bought at the entrance.

It's a large beautiful park with the old trees, a bit shabby, no normal WC.

Good place to spend the time on nature and discover Kiev region. The entrance is 25 uan. Not that much but the park is not well groomed, the map is not clear. And if your time is limited I recommend to visit Uman park instead.
