Zip Line Pazin Cave
Tours
Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
Zip line rides over wooded cliffs from a popular cave area, with dramatic views of the town Pazin.
Very nice ride. Very professional and nice people.
Not too long, opens your appetite for more😆

Great adventure for adrenaline loving people. The zip line consists of two "routes", first one is shorter and second is longer and faster. Amazing views in both of them. You reach around 45km/h depending on weight.
Whole process including putting safety harness, instructions, ride and walk back to start station takes around 45 min. The reason is, that you are put together with other people in a group of around 12 persons and you have to wait for everyone to make their ride. Its super safe and staff was very professional. Would go again anytime. Well worth 22€.

Scary but safe. Professional stuff, great place!

Great guides and location. Good value for money, 22 Euro.
Marco Lewis — Google review
A lovely place with friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere, a great way to spend the time. The price is fair for a short ride and the staff are absolutely wonderful, they make the experience even more enjoyable. I've been here twice, this year and last year and this year they remembered my family and gave us complementary shirts. I'll definitely be coming back!

Top and safe experience!!! Great atmosphere and great guides. They ensure everyone has fun. 👍🏽

The view is beautiful, definitely worth a visit! And the staff are very polite, helpful and entertaining. This whole experience was made 10x better because of them. Highly recommend!

It was so much fun. The people working there were very kind, everything was explained well. Felt very safe going down the Zip Line. I was secured well and multiple times the whole time. The braking system is great too, so we didn't have to worry about that. I had any questions answered. On our next Croatia trip I will definately come back

The ride is short but gives an experience. Beautiful scenery. Very friendly staff with perfect English.
Karoly Vaczy — Google review
Yes this is a cheap activity, but really unimpressive on all counts, very dissapointed, with lots of padding showing photos to make the time up. On-the-go plus side, the 2 guides are really nice & helpful, & speak great English...
The Risiera di San Sabba concentration camp was used by the Nazi regime to detain and kill political prisoners, as well as Jews who were then deported to Auschwitz. The museum is a five-storey brick-built compound that commemorates the 5000 people who perished here and the many thousands more who were impacted by the camp's existence. The exhibits provide an overview of the history of the concentration camp and its use during World War II.
Surely not at the level of the most famous (or infamous) concentration camps. For me it is worth five stars: this place needs a visit, as it is the only camp in Italy with a crematorium
Stefano de Santis — Google review
Great, succinct museum in a place charged with heavy, too recent history. Definitely worth a visit. Plan about 30-40 mins. Audioguides currently unavailable due to covid.
Emilie Roberts — Google review
An unexpected little gem. Another sad point of reflection on WW2, and how grim it must have been. It's not a very big museum and there is a lot of reading. For me the map of the transition locations across Germany shows the systematic scale of the operation that was being undertaken.
In spite of being close to the town, people did not realise what was going on until late in the war.
Entry is free, but a donation is welcome.
Owen Tully — Google review
Well put together as a museum of what should never have happened. Unfortunately we don't learn, everyone should visit as a reminder.

They preserved the history beautifully, regardless of the pain and agony that occurred here.

Very large place and well kept facilities. Easy bus ride to centrum
EvaLena Hallgren — Google review
Not a light experience, but I considered it as a must, visiting the nearby.
Free entrance (I took audioguide for 3 Eur, but even without it, the museum provides enough information in Italian and English).
This is part of history, not so long time ago.

Very emotional, very informative place. Lots of in-depth information from survivors.

Incredibly emotional experience that will haunt me for the rest of my life. To think the inner walls may have been the last thing my grandmother, saw chilled me to my core. I don't have the words to express my feelings properly.

Interering place to visit but not much to see. A bit off the beaten track though easy to get to by bus. History is tragic and we hope it will not happen again. This is why it is important to visit such landmarks
Vicente Frare Pulp & Amora Livros — Google review
A sobering experience. Very interesting but also extremely sad.
elizabeth — Google review
Great museum and audiotour. Tells touching stories and still manages a good historical contextualization. Fitting architectural concept.
cleimu — Google review
This is a less known, yet very important site to visit. A remarkable monument of an era that should not be forgotten.
For 2 euros only you can buy an audio guide which I really recommend to do so, as otherwise you won't understand what to look at and you won't have all the background information.
If you get there by car the most convenient is to park at the supermarket's parking lot nearby.
Zsolt Szegedi — Google review
Small, but nice place to visit, to remember the history.
Be aware that with COVID situation today you need a “Green pass” and that many buildings accept limited amount of people at once (2 to 10 people max) so it’s better to come in the morning to avoid queues.

Very interesting but heartrending to see the place where so many Jews were killed and tortured.

The Piazza Unità d'Italia (Piazza Grande) is a large, impressive square in the heart of Venice that is flanked by some of the city's grandest palazzi. The square is a beautiful triumph of Austro-Hungarian town planning and contemporary civil pride and is especially beautiful when lit at night. The buildings around the piazza are all well maintained and look really nice during the day or at night when they are illuminated with blue lights.
Beautiful square. It is often said to be Europe's largest square located next to the sea. The square was built during the period when Trieste was the most important seaport of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and includes the city's municipal buildings and other important palaces. You should visit Caffe San Marco – a magnificent place, well known to both tourists and residents
Cvijetin Lazarevic — Google review
It's a wonderful place in Trieste ❤️
The main square in the city and one of the biggest squares in the world. Great architecture and monuments. Here is the fountain of the four continents, the building of the municipality and local government. There is access to the sea from the square. Try coffee in the cafe here - it is delicious 😋
Kateryna Stets — Google review
One of the stunning places to visit at night. The Italians really know how to light up the night. This place is absolutely majestic, it beautiful during the day but absolutely gorgeous at night. It has lovely statues, water fountains and the buildings architecture is amazing. This place is one of my favourite evening places I’ve ever visited. It’s very lively, with lots to do in and around this area. How could you not check this place out.
Pong Lenis — Google review
Beautiful square overlooking the sea, there are some nice places to have breakfast or some appetizers. All the buildings are clean and well maintained, they look really nice at night when they are enlightened. There are also some nice blue lights on the ground.

Piazza Unità d’Italia (Unity of Italy Square) is the main square of Trieste. The rectangular piazza, located at the foot of the San Giusto Hill, opens on one side onto the Gulf of Trieste. With an area of 12,280 square meters, it is considered the largest seafront square in Europe.

Hidden Jem of a place. New cruise departure port 160km from airport. Took shared shuttle (faultless with (Go Opti) Replacing Venice for cruise ships. Trieste is a mix of styles with a laid back “Barcelona feel” to it. 200,000 people who love their piece of paradise. Outdoor European summer complete with alfresco dining in the heart of the city. Highly recommend.

Unity square you beauty. A must visit place if you go to italy the place is called Trieste. So clean and mesmerizing and a big harbor. The unity square has signature coffee shops and ice cream parlor. Nothing to pay.

Trieste’s biggest and main square - this is also the largest square in Italy that is right by the sea (Adriatic Sea in this case). The grand open space is awe inspiring. This is a great place for hosting concerts as well.
Sumeet Sinha — Google review
Lovely square, there were many tents up in the square when iw ent there so I couldn't enjoy it to the fullest extent, I guess they had just gotten done putting on a big event. There's a great restaurant on the square that serves the best french toast I've ever had.

Lovely square with beautiful buildings. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants around the square too, plus it also has access to the sea front.
Beautiful relaxing place and well worth checking out if you're in Trieste.

Cattedrale di San Giusto Martire is a 14th-century cathedral built on a Roman temple that features intricate frescoes and mosaics. Completed in 1400, it showcases a combination of Ravenna and Byzantine architectural styles with 13th-century frescoes and 12th-century mosaics. The chapel, known as Escorial Carlista, houses the tombs of nine members of the Spanish royal family.
Nice historical place with awesome view on the Trieste and all surroundings. Near to the centre of the city and parking garages, just a few minutes of walking.

San Giusto is the result of joining two churches together. Impressive interior with a large nave; two aisles on either side; 13th century Byzantine mosaics and a magnificent Gothic rose window. We stayed for mass officiated unusually by a young priest with a sense of humour!
Bruce Taylor — Google review
Beautiful church. And next to it you can see the ruins from the romains and go to the bell tower. From there you also get another beautiful view. Going up costs only 2 euro per person

The ambience inside was quite special. The interior was also decorative and splendid as were the religious depictions and altars. Definitely a place to visit.
Alice Goss — Google review
You can reach the church after a nice hike up the hill, but the view is worth it. Entrance to the tower costs €2 per person. In the tower you will find four large bells and a beautiful view. Parking is tricky and complicated, for experienced drivers only.

Beautiful cathedral. Very interesting, historical landmark. Good to learn about the history of Triest. Wonderful views of the city and the harbour.
Olly Gronau — Google review
14th century Gothic rose window, the portal and the massive bell tower. The whole of the façade, a hut. S. Giusto is a 'cathedral-patchwork' built in Roman times, on a paleochristian hall. Inside, the cathedral surprises, among the forest of columns, for the width of the five naves and the magnificent mosaics of the Venetian-Byzantine school (XII-XIII century). the magnificent wrought-iron chandelier overlooking the central nave, forged by Massimiliano for the throne room of his castle and then given to the cathedral before leaving for Mexico where he later died.
Giuliana Leucci — Google review
Beautiful cathedral. Ancient mixed with the modern. Interesting use of nautical motifs eg in the sacristy. A nice cool spot at the top of the city.
Andrea Brady — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed the inside of the Cathedral. Multiple naves, old alongside new, it was fascinating. Totally recommend the visit.
Ian Tilley — Google review
This is a very beautiful church. The architecture, artwork and stature is very nice. It’s beautiful, it’s not e big but it was much larger than I had anticipated. I really enjoyed the time I’ve spent here, if you enjoy visiting churches I would definitely recommend visiting this church when in Trieste.
Pong Lenis — Google review
Totally worth the climb to top of the hill where you find amazing romanesque cathedral. Not so high entrance but with beautiful old parts. Built on remains of roman temple. You can climb the tower to enjoy the view, but for that you have to pay 2€. In it you can see roman construction of old temple.
Rok Stražar — Google review
Beautiful church on the hill with really easy access when you are coming by car. It is possible to park in an underground garage on the sea level and the lift takes you all the way up to the church (and castle as well).
Definitely one of the best mammals you can visit in Trieste along with the castle, recommended 100 %.
Entrance is free within the opening hours.

It is very impressive once you step inside. This huge art masterpiece behind alter just takes breath away. It was pretty dark, would recommend to stop by, and just enjoy the moment. It’s free

The 13th century Cathedral is absolutly stunning. For its age, the well kept nature of the frescos and artefacts surpasses all expectations. We have seen 18th century churches and cathedrals in worse conditions. Have never seen anything like it, especially a cathedral with so many little chapels inside. Amazing, well worth the climb and visit. Almost looks like a movie set for a medieval fantasy film. A holy place rich with history, relics and color!
Trash Panda Tactical — Google review
Very beautiful old church, main church of Trieste. Interior is very nice and interesting, you see and even feel how old the church is. And inside you can see very nice mosaics.
The church is located just near the San Giusto castle, on the top of the hill. You can go up the hill along narrow streets starting from the Trieste City Hall.
Irina Kravchuk — Google review
This is a treasure trove of a church for students of medieval art & architecture and the guides do not do it justice. Most European churches were heavily modified during the Baroque era and most of the Medieval and Renaissance decoration was lost. But not San Giusto; the only Baroque elements were in the side chapels. The church itself maintains its medieval 15th century aesthetic.
The church itself retains elements of far earlier churches and temples. It was originally built over a Roman temple in the 6th century and destroyed soon thereafter by the Lombard invasion. Two side-by-side churches were then built in the 11th and 12th centuries both with beautiful mosaic apses. The two churches were joined together in the 15th century, adding a larger central apse which now has a 20th century mosaic on its ceiling that is equally impressive, in its own way.
What is absolutely remarkable are the elements of each that have been preserved. The entry to the bell tower was built on a Roman foundation and many original columns were incorporated. The entire entryway to the church was used from the temple, and the sculpted figures on either side are a reused Roman funerary column. The mosaic floor to the left side of the church remains from the 6th century church and the 11th & 12th century apses have their original mosaics. It is worth a euro coin to turn on the lights to these apses for photos.
Finally, don't miss the 600 year old painting on the walls and ceiling of the rightmost apse. It's pretty deteriorated, but remarkable how much remains.
If you like medieval, don't miss this church in Trieste.
Christopher Maurer — Google review
A majestic cathedral in excellent condition, skilfully restored inside. The dome above the altar is a thing of beauty.
Skocjan Caves, a natural wonder in Slovenia, is an extraordinary underground network of fossil-filled caves with a river and canyons. The cave system was carved out by the Reka River over the past two decades and is home to huge, spectacular subterranean chambers that must be explored. The caves offer guided tours to visitors who can witness its beauty up close; it's recommended for visitors to wear warm clothing and sturdy footwear while exploring.
Incredible place, absolutely breathtaking. The murmuring river in the underground canyon leaves unforgettable impression. The scenes inside are like in Lord of the Rings (or Portal 2 game on underground levels).
When you're leaving the cave, you have 3 options to get back to the initial point: two short routes and one long. It's really worth to take the longest route (#3, takes 40min) and see all the beauty of the canyon.
Unfortunately, photos are forbidden inside, even without flash, there is a monitoring (however, a lot of people still do it)
Andrei Belashou — Google review
The tour was stunning. I must say, the cave was bigger and even more impressive than in all the pictures you see of it. I was just astonished most of the times. It does get a little bit hard if you’re afraid of heights because there is a bridge really high up that you need to cross, but the feeling of seeing everything going on in this cave is remarkable
Kim :3 — Google review
If you're looking for an amazing underground adventure, I highly recommend checking out these caves. They were much bigger than expected, with an awe-inspiring array of natural formations and stunning underground landscapes.
One of the best things about these caves was how accommodating the staff were when we were late for our original booking. Despite our tardiness, they still made sure we were able to experience the tour and see all the incredible sights.
However, it's worth noting that there were many people on the tour, which may not be ideal for those who prefer smaller crowds. That being said, the incredible sights were definitely worth the company.
One thing to keep in mind is that visitors aren't allowed to take pictures inside the cave. However, at the end of the tour, you're able to snap a few shots to capture the experience.
Overall, if you're looking for an amazing underground adventure, these caves are definitely worth checking out. While the crowds may be a bit larger than desired, the stunning natural formations and accommodating staff make it an unforgettable experience. Just don't forget to bring a camera for the end of the tour!

Such a great experience. If you go, definitely take the red trail when you come out of the cave. Be sure to get reservations in advance. All of the tours were sold out on the day we went. The initial portion of the guided tour does not allow photography which is unfortunate, but I guess it keeps the tours moving.
P G — Google review
Spectacular in size and impressive. It is like visiting underground canyons with river rapids. The scenery is stunning both inside and outside. We definitely recommend to do the long trail. It is very different from Postojna caves, they are not comparable.
Inès Heymans — Google review
It’s hard to put into words how incredible these caves are/ the experience walking through this cave. The tour was incredible, and I appreciate not being able to take pictures inside as it forces you to focus on the true, raw, natural beauty. The river rushes through as you walk along the dimly lit path. The tour guides are super knowledgeable and it is definitely worth a visit. One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in my life. As a freshwater ecologist, I was in heaven!
Grace Kotnik — Google review
Looked expensive at 22 euros for the guided tour, but absolutely worth it. Tour is a bit more than an hour through the main caves, and afterwards you can do another unguided part for 30min to 1hour which is amazing.
In may it is still not that busy. Highly recommended.
Note that photos are not allowed in the guided part of the tour
Christiaan Meerkerk — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous place, breathtaking cave. Definitely must-see place. 24€ per adult, recommend online reservation. Taking pictures not allowed in the main cave. Just hide your phones and enjoy the cave.
Jakub Trubka — Google review
We had an amazing experience here on a stormy day. By far the most beautiful and biggest cave I have ever visited. Plus, it’s very affordable and the tour guide shares interesting information. The group is quite big, but that turned out to be okay as the guide made sure that everyone could understand him well.
Fennie Troost — Google review
It's hard to find the right words to describe the Skocjan Caves. This place is magical and so raw. I've been to several caves, but this one made a fantastic impression on me. The Skocjan Caves are so huge that you can easily feel the space. Phenomenal rock formations - stalactites and stalagmites, plus a rushing river beneath us. You are not allowed to take photos in the main area. We chose the longest trail - it's beautiful, it was a bull's-eye.
Agnieszka Rybczyńska — Google review
Absurdly breathtaking, the most extraordinary cave experience I've had. The underground canyon is mesmerizing and feels like you have stepped into a scene from Lord of The Rings.
The steps can be a little strenuous and the ground a tad damp so pack in comfortable hiking boots and long sleeves as it can be chilly. No photos are allowed in the caves themselves to preserve the natural light (or lack of it) as much as possible. They even turn off the navigation lights between tours.
An absolute must foe those seeking out the grandeur of caving.
Eden Theron — Google review
The most beautiful cave I have every visited. It is amazing to see that nature can create such massive caves underground. Be aware that the cave has become a big tourist attraction and that buying tickets beforehand is highly recommended. Visiting the cave is done in groups of 40 with a guide. Inside of the cave it is NOT allowed to take any pictures (only at the exit). At the exit of the cave there are three options of returning to the main building. I recommend taking the longest route, if the walking doesn't bother you, as it will take you through some extra caves where you can take some pictures.
Thomas Carsjens — Google review
Very highly recommended for the nature lovers. Many thousands years old limestone caves filled with millions of drip stones (stalactites ) and stalagmites, and one of the world’s largest underground river canyons. The cave is throughout well lit and provided with safety railings along the canyons. There are so many amazing chambers, one of them called the hades chamber is the most spectacular with the largest stalagmite of Europe and one of the largest in the world. There is a guided tour available for 22€, which is absolutely worth the time and the price. Really amazing team of tour guides, very friendly, attentive and informative. Towards the end of the guided tour they provide you with three options to return to the initial point. Two of the routes take you further for small hikes. Unfortunately we had to take the shorter route of 20 minutes, which was mostly stairs. There comes a small detour for the splash falls, which is really awesome. Although the photos are strictly forbidden inside, but people do manage to capture secretly. There is a big parking place with lots of space available.
Animesh Kumar — Google review
These caves were crazy awesome. The tour was fun and I formative, but the caves are just so big. I felt like I was in an Indiana jones movie. So great. At the end of the tour there is a short walk back and a longer one. DO THE LONGER WALK! It is seriously worth the extra 30 min, and you get to see bonus caves and very nice landscapes.
Travis Hull — Google review
This was the most amazing caves I’ve ever seen, and is definitely a must see if you ever visit Slovenia!!
Remember to buy a guided tour ticket in advance. Our tour guide, Vesna, was just the best, really good at explaining and telling stories about the caves!
You are not allowed to take pictures inside the caves, which really makes you take in the experience.
There are good facilities at the visitor center, where you can buy food and souvenirs.
We will definitely be back the next time we visit Slovenia
J B — Google review
Although it's not allowed to take photos in the caves (the place is on the UNESCO list) you are guaranteed to have the greatest experience of your life. To my mind, it is a far more authentic and less commercial attraction than the Postojna cave...
REMEMBER TO BUY THE TICKETS IN ADVANCE!!!
Elżbieta Zygmuntowska — Google review
Definitely worth the visit.
From the meeting point we had to do a short walk to the cave entrance at which point the rules were explained and the groups were formed.
The initial sections of the cave weren’t that interesting but the canyon area is truly amazing. You can hear and see the water rushing through.
Compared to Postajna Cave, this one was much better organized. Being less popular also contributes to a better experience.
Marcio Medeiros — Google review
Very impressive. The tour would remind you of lord of the rings. Also very different from Postojna cave but definitely worth it. Guide was in English and explained well however sometimes not good to hear due to the environment or echo. The doline is very pretty and there are viewpoints or tours that you can follow by yourself. Recommended to buy tickets in advance.

We visited the Skocjan Caves recently, and it was an incredible experience. The natural beauty of these caves is awe-inspiring. The underground chambers, stalactites, and stalagmites are a testament to the wonders of nature.
The guided tour was informative, and our guide was knowledgeable about the geological history of the caves. The highlight was definitely the enormous underground canyon with the rushing river. It felt like being in a different world.
The organization and facilities at the site were excellent, making the visit comfortable and enjoyable. However, one thing that disappointed me was the prohibition on taking photographs inside the cave, it would have been wonderful to capture some memories of this remarkable place.
I would also caution against visiting the souvenir shop on the premises. The salesperson there was unfriendly and seemed disinterested in helping tourists, which was a stark contrast to the overall positive experience of the caves.
Despite these drawbacks, I highly recommend visiting the Skocjan Caves to anyone who appreciates the beauty of nature and geological wonders. It's a must-see attraction in Slovenia.

Love it! It is so worth it to visit it. I don't have a lot of pictures, because of safety, it is prohibited to take them. But I have a lot of nice memories.. it is open-minded and has a wow effect. We were during October, so it wasn't so touristic, but of course, the tickets are better to buy online.

Under UNESCO protection the biggest underground canyon in Europe. One hour of descent into darkness....well if u see when they turn the lights off behind you. Total darkness, amazing.
Predjama Castle, located 9km from Postojna in Europe, is an impressive fortress that was built within a cave on the side of a 123m cliff. The castle's four storeys were constructed gradually over the years starting from 1202, but the majority of what can be seen today dates back to the 16th century. Its location and design make it appear impenetrable and it features restored living quarters as well as dungeons and even a secret tunnel.
Predjama castle is located approximately 15-minute drive from the highway E61 and 10 minutes from the Postojna Caves, so it is convenient to visit both in the same day. We purchased combined ticket (Castle+Caves) for approx. 40 EUR per person. Parking was not difficult to find, however we arrived relatively late at around 16:30 (castle was closing at 17:00), so I imagine during the peak hours the situation might be different.
There are no guided tours inside the castle, instead you get an audio guide (included in the ticket price) which was available in many languages (at least 15). The explanations were helpful, straight to the point and relatively short, so for me that was one of the best audio guide experience. It took us around 45 minutes to properly explore the castle. Normally castle is open until 17:00 but we were leaving the premises at around 17:15 and no one was pushing us out.
It does indeed look magnificent as almost the whole castle is covered by huge rock. You get to explore many different rooms, some of them looking more like caves and others like actual livable rooms. There are some nice viewing points of the valley at several terraces located in the castle. It is definitely worth to visit as there are not many "cave castles" around the world!
There are couple of restaurants in the proximity of the castle and restrooms near the parking lot.

This is just amazing which is definitely on my top list of the castles. Very well organized, audio guide in details, reasonable visit routine with a lot of attractions. Even the kids can enjoy the whole tour which is not easy for sure. Highly recommended!

Touring this castle was one of my favorite activities on a two week adventure that was filled with amazing sights. Different from other castles. The self-regulated audio tour is important in understanding the history of the castle.

Very unique castle built into a cave. Audio tour gives interesting details as you walk through the castle. Easy to do the tour at your own pace
Ron Huber — Google review
Very interesting castle and history with the included audio guide. There's a decent amount of walking up stairs and through the rooms, but it's evenly spaced with audio guide sections which are numbered to listen. The parking is average an consists of a paved area with about 50 bays. After this fills up, you park in a grassed marshy paddock which is a bit hard to get in and out once more people start coming. Other than that, good castle but make sure you get there early

a beautiful castle set into the side of a mountain.. the app we used for the castle tour was really good and gave lots of useful information during the tour. everything was clearly sign posted so we knew what we were needed to listen to. overall a wonderful experience- highly recommend this as a stop over on your travels

Absolutely magical place to visit. We got there in the later afternoon and booked an audio tour that leads you through the castle. Very informative and interesting information about such a unique place. Staff were friendly and views from the castle are spectacular. A must see when you are in Slovenia.

Amazing castle build in the rocks. Just imagine the work it should have been in the 13th century. The guided audio tour is awesome and gives you a lot of information. Book this together with the cave and your day is complete.

A beautiful interesting castle, a nice place to relax, also suitable for families with children, mobile devices are also available for interpretation in different languages when scanning a QR code. Beautiful views of the surroundings, there is also a souvenir shop.

Absolutely beautiful castle surrounded by stunning scenery. It has a fascinating history.
I recommend coming early because it can quickly get crowded. Also bring a hoodie and good shoes as it can get cold and slippery in the castle.
There is a free audio guide app that is essential to the experience. You can download it near the entrance as there is free wifi for just that.

Great looking castle with a really nice audio guide included in the price and with a free app if you don't want to hold guide by your ear al the time. The guide really gives a nice value as it points a lot of interesting solutions they used in the castle to use the rock and Cave merging with the castle

Incredible!! For those who like historical places and medieval stuff, this place offer all of this!
We were surprised by the place and the high level of preservation shown.
Even the kids - that were naturally skeptical of the place - in the end had so much fun and appreciated very much the place, with the support of the audio guide!

Wonderful visit, both caves under castle and castle itself. Luka was our guide for caves, well prepared and funny. Inside castle I found funny the soldiers around rooms that scary tourists.

This is just an amazing castle …. A dream place full of adventures and surprises in side … bring comfortable shoes and with some grip this place is natural wet … there is not lifts…. The castle is full of hidden corners that takes you to a nice natural cave. You need a car or a tourist bus to reach this place . You must pay for parking per hour. The castle is in the world Guiness records of the largest castle built on a cave. They have audio Guia in many languages. People were polite and nice. You must reserve in advance tickets if you don’t want disappointments specially during summer time.

Castle was amazing, absolutely loved it. Highly recommend booking tickets online and using your phone for QR codes. When you get the old part of the castle inside the cave, wow. The water capture was very clever. Would love to cone back for some caving here.

It was a great experience. I've never seen a castle inside of a cave. The history of it and the unique architecture that is part of it, are also great to listen to.
Hard to imagine life over there that time but they did it. If you are somewhere around just turn here and you won't regret it. Nearby is also a small local pub with some local stuff. Thank you🤩

Great experience visiting this historic castle. We got tickets at the door as we visited in low season but I would suggest reserving tickets online to make sure you do not miss out!

Really nice castle built into the cave. The day we went was quite crowded and a bit overwhelming. However, this is not something you want to miss if you’re in town. Here you are given a self guided audio tour, offered in many languages. The castle itself is well curated, but be careful because the stair cases that are connected to the cave part of the castle are very slippery and many people fell. It’s best to go slow and hold on to the railing.
You can access this castle by taking the free bus. This bus comes from the train station - bus station - predjama caves - to the castle. Check the website for the times.

One of the nicest castles i have visited. The castle is located inside of the rocks and that is truly a unique experience to see this. We had an audioguide and were very interested. In every room you can see old furniture, weapons and armour, ... At the end of the tour you'll go inside the rocks behind the castle. This was something i have never seen before. Really worth a visit. The lady in the gift shop was really friendly. (and there's a cat!!)

A truly amazing Castle with a beautiful view. It was very interesting listening to it’s history (they provide audio players). We bought tickets at the small shop when we arrived. If you visiting with babies make sure you have a carrier or just hold them. Lots of stairs (Castle is inside a cave basically). I cannot imagine living in those times in that Castle, it’s just amazing to picture everything in your head. If you are near by, make sure to make a stop here. Is worth the visit!

This medieval castle, which is the largest cave castle in the world, is still intact after 800 years. You'd wonder how they managed to attach a castle to a cave when cement, screws and drills hadn't been invented yet. I had an audio guide explaining different chambers/ rooms. Beware that there are many steps and uneven paths.

Stunning castle that is located in a cave and surrounded by a farming village. The place is definitely worth visiting when in Slovenia and takes an hour to get to from Ljubljana by bus. Worth noting a cab is needed from the Pastojna bus station to the castle. All the shops were closed as we went during off season.
Caves are stunning as well as Predjamski castle. Shuttle bus to the castle start at 10am although castle is open from 9am. Timetable isn't on the web site.

Awesome. Amazing journey. Don't let the "talk" of it being "Disneyland like" deture you from going. The cave "rooms" are HUGE. Incredible complex and a highlight of our trip while in Slovenia. ( €25.80 p/p )

The Krizna Cave in Slovenia is an impressive underground cave system with over 20 lakes that visitors can explore by boat. Unlike most other Slovenian caves, the Krizna Cave provides its visitors with lamps and boots for their visit as there is no electric lighting inside. The tour lasts around one to two hours and takes you through the dry parts of the cave, including a short boat ride on the first lake.
Did the 7h tour in a group of four plus our guide Gašper. Were really lucky because the water level and humidity conditions were perfect, so we could still sail comfortably in the little boats and see clearly with the lights on. Excellent example of conservation and care of nature which here comes first before us tourists. This was once in a lifetime experience and I definitely recommend it to those who are able to do it!

Very interesting visit. We highly recommend to take the visit also to the bear tunnel because is worth it. The cave doesn't have any artificial light or path, which keeps its originality. The guide was a really enthusiastic woman who explained everything really good. I would definitely reccomend it, also not so crowded with tourist.
PS: We found a semi real cave bear xD
Helena Keeler — Google review
Unique experience! Much less touristy than the Postojna caves (also less lighting, you can't see as much but you feel more like the people who first discovered the caves). Be sure to bring cash as there is no electricity to process card payments.

Fantastic cave and good guide. We did the short tour, about 1 1/2 hour. Lots if explanation.
They also do the 4 and 8/9 hour tours. Only on reservation and a limited nr of people per year. We had a group of 6. Very worth the visit.
Henri Boom — Google review
This is a great place to have a more 'authentic' cave experience than that on offer at the nearby Postodjna Jama. Without any artificial lighting (except for torches and lighting under the boat) you get a real sense of being underground in monsterous caverns. On paper some of the caverns in the Postodjna Jama system are larger, but they feel much smaller in comparison due to the use of artificial lighting. The guides here are extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic with excellent English. The boat ride and cave bear skull are real highlights. Tours last approximately one hour and waterproof boots and torches are provided. Warm clothing (long trousers and a jumper/fleece) is highly recommended.

The 4hr excursion through the cave lakes was an excellent experience. The cave itself and the underground ecosystem is mesmerising and we also had a fantastic guide - Luka, who had great knowledge, super skills and brilliant humor. Even my male partner "fell in love with him a little bit" which is as big of a compliment as it gets :-D Well done Luka, you made this experience even more special for us with your presence and expertise
Agnieszka S. — Google review
Really interesting cave exploration, even though it's much less publicized. They equip you with a flashlight and guide you into the cave. There are no other light sources in the cave, which makes a very cool experience. The only disappointment on 1 hour tour is, that the boat part is very short, around 15 min. I would highly suggest to book longer tours in advance, but note that queue time is quite long.
Peter — Google review
When we arrived at the parking we read that they only accept cash, so we had to drive to the nearest atm some kilometres away to find an ATM. This meant we had to wait for 2hrs till the next tour. The guide first explains the underground system and that we only walk for 650m, followed by a short boat trip and then walk back. The experience underground was incredible, and would love to do a longer tour another time.

This was probably the best tour I have ever done. Gasper, the tour guide, was able to get a tour for us with only one days notice to the first lake and the bear cave for my family of six. The cave was amazing and unlike any cave I had ever toured. The only light was from the provided flash lights. Gasper was an excellent tour guide and spoke excellent english. The tour was not to challenging even for my 6 year old.
Pete Fiol — Google review
Not as popular as the Postocjan or Skocjan caves, but well worth a visit. There are several guided tours available which give you a unique opportunity to explore this cave in a more personal setting. Highly recommended to reach out to them beforehand since the weather (eg lots of rain) might impact the available tours and overall capacity is very limited. Some tours only take 4 people max, because you go further into the cave with a rubber boat.
It's impressive to see some fossils and marks of the cave bears (bigger than polar bears) who lived in this cave thousands of years ago.
Finally, take it easy on the gravel road towards the cave. Cars go in both directions and space is limited.
Matthijs Keij — Google review
We had the four our tour with Gaspar. It was very exciting and Gaspar was very dedicated to the cave and the geology.
Remember warm clothes and socks.
Book your tour in advance ( 6 months or more)
We loved it.

We did the small tour one hour tour and it gives you and idea of how beautiful this cave is. We wished the tour was longer but the bigger ones need to be booked upfront. Any one traveling with a dog: they just build two perfect dog cages in the shadow, about 30meters from the entrance of the cave. We were the first ones the use it. So you can safely leave your dogs while you enjoy the cave. Big big plus for us!
Tscheppaschlucht is a stunning natural attraction located in the narrow Loibl Valley, connecting Carinthia to Slovenia. The trail through the gorge offers dramatic views of waterfalls, rope bridges, and river crossings. Visitors can enjoy the wooden walkway fixed to the canyon wall while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Despite some sad episodes in history, this place offers an amazing experience for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
The pads are good to walk. Prices of the tickets are okey for what you get.

Nice walk beautifull nature. At the top, you have the nice view over the different waterfalls. Once there you realize immediately that this is worth the climb and 2 hours driving! When we returned to the car, it was raining very heavy. We didn't care if we were wet or not! So we walked through the rain. The air was so nice. The whole family enjoined the walk. Even my kid of 4 years old. Must say... it was the best day of my holiday!!!

Amazing valley with a breathtaken landscape. There is a nice path that starts at the beginning and leads to the Rinks waterfall. It is 7km long (one way), however it is possible to park at each of the parkings along the way and walk only a part of it. In each parking there is a nice resturant.

There's a beautiful waterfall and several ways to enjoy the locale. You can purchase locally farmed products and hike in the pretty surroundings.
It was worth our visit and the waterfall was a simple and quick hike from the parking (after driving the full 7.3km road in the valley).

Very beautiful valley just across the border from Austria. To best experience the valley, park your car at the hotel near the entry gate of the valley (€7 admission fee for cars) and then walk the trail to the waterfall. Along the way are multiple opportunities for a quick bite (local specialties) and drinks. The trail ends at the waterfall which is beautiful but also the most touristic area of the valley. This is also the starting point of various hikes. Trail itself is flat and easy took us 2,5 hours roundtrip.
Lake Klopein is a scenic destination that boasts of crystal clear water, making it an ideal place for summer swimming. The lake is surrounded by resort hotels and restaurants offering a range of services to visitors. With a moderate temperature of 28 degrees Celsius during summer, the lake provides ample opportunities for bathing in its 12 beach baths. Whether you're looking for relaxation or adventure, Lake Klopein offers something unique for everyone visiting this lovely vacation spot.
This is the warmest of all Carithian lakes, and for sure the most friendly one of you are looking for a swim fin with your dog. Absolutely love the facilities and what nearby bars and cafes offer and serve.

The most terrible experience that I've ever had. I tried with family and two little children spent some time sitting near the lake and enjoy the view. But, you can do it only sitting on a benches near the road on distance more than 400m. All area's, that I found, near the lake was covered by three-meter fence with turnstiles, other part with barbed wire. Didn't found place to walk near the lake, and touristic map shows only parking and resting places after the fence. Maybe this place is suitable for a sunbathing and swimming on that special payable areas after three-meter fence. Only it was not my case.

Very clean, clear and warm lake with a pretty view. Although the area around the lake is very touristic, it’s a cute place with many good restaurants and plenty of possibilities for activities nearby. There are many private hotel-owned beaches and some public bathing beaches. In the south of the lake there’s a little area where you can swim without the need to enter a public bathing beach (don’t expect a lawn for sunbathing though, it’s next to a street for pedestrians) Many hotels provide stand-up paddle boards and various boats. The place is also suitable for biking. [stayed 1 night]

Very nice outlet, good prices, a bit far from the city, but definitely worth going to..

Unfortunatelly, this place missed real meaning of OUTLET. Prices are the same or in some cases even higher compare to regular stores.
There are a lot of signs "new collection"?!?
We found lower price only in OVS and Calzedonia but on severals items only with discount of 50%.
On the other hand and most likely 'cause of the prices, place is not crowded atall so you can do your shopping in piece.

Very beautiful shopping mall. It has a very unique style like nowhere else. It is a village/town with different parts of it inspired from different places on Earth.
There are lots of designer outlet stores and also a bar and restaurant - The prices are very affordable.
What I don't like is that the mall looks like it's ghosted. There are not many tourists, there were maybe 40 cars on the giant parking lot.

Driving back to Slovenia, we stopped to see the Roses Designer Outlet. It’s a beautiful place, clean and love the colors on the buildings but it has very little stores left. The ones that were opened had great deals on. Bought a super cute top from S. Oliver. It did have a small seating area restaurant open, which was nice. Great place to let the kids run around and burn off some energy!! Since it’s so empty. Open 7 days a week including the weekend from 10am to 8pm. They did have beautiful roses growing everywhere.

I can see it imagined nicely, like those Italian outlet malls, but it's half empty, don't know whether for the lack of marketing or just being at the wrong spot. There is plenty of parking and it's a nice little stroll through the mall. Stores are stocked differently, some will be full and with amazing discounts and some empty with barely anything to choose. Still if you are passing through I recommend stopping by, you just may be in for a surprise
Branko Todorovic — Google review
If you really don't have something specific to buy here, don't go here. It seemed like a good idea to build this thing, but almost all the shops have been closed and it looks like a dead town. Speakers are very poor quality, but it doesn't stop them from blasting music all over the place. A huge complex with only a couple of people visiting the place on a Saturday afternoon.
Mihovil Pavičić — Google review
The place is beautiful and clean - great.. BUT this is supposed to be an OUTLET with cheaper prices. I found things priced the same as they were in the regular store. It’s actually more affordable to wait for a sale in a certain store than drive all the way here..

Roses Designer Outlet is located just next to the border between Croatia and Slovenia. We visit it with whole family to dress kids, my wife and myself. It is a great opportunity for a stop during your long journey to Adriatics or back home before long traffic jam at the border. One can go for shopping or have a lunch break in the Roses' restaurants. The Outlet has a lot of clothes and footware options to choose from: designer shoes collection, dresses, suits, jeans or sport ware are represented here from most of the trendy brands. However one should notice that shops availability quite often depends on a season and year and some of them are closed when you just need them! Thereby I am giving only four points from five to this Designers Outlet. In any case the Roses is must to visit destination with moderate prices for disigners ware) I wish you to have fun here!
The Old Vine House is a must-visit destination in Celje, Slovenia, where you can indulge in a glass of wine from the world's oldest living vine. This remarkable plant has been producing grapes for over 400 years and it is located near the Hungarian border. Aside from tasting some great wines, visitors are also encouraged to explore the charming old town of Maribor which is within close proximity to the Old Vine House.
We visited spontaniously this place in Maribor on our way bay home to Hungary. It is amazing to know that the world’s oldest living vine is about 400 years old and it is in Slovenia very close to the Hungarian border. We took part in a small wine-tasting session, too. It was an excellent program. I advise you to discover the old town of Maribor. It is super cozy and cute to take a walk there. And the Old Vine House is also very close to the city centre.

There is also a nice view on the river outside the House. I reccomend it to take time there and enjoy a glass of excellent wine outside. Personal is very friendly and they will advise you about the wine. You can also try all wines before you buy.

Came to Maribor on our return trip and stopped here thinking you can drink wine from the oldest grape vine in the world. Get here to be told it is reserved only for special gifting from the mayor to people such as the president, not for the common folk. There is a small chapel at the top of this hill, you can see it as you go up.. The path to the top is winding which makes it easy to climb without losing your breath. You pass some tiny vineyards on your way, and most of the way there is no tree cover for shade. I counted 2, and I stopped at the last tree as it was super hot.. but wherever I reached the view was amazing and extraordinary.. would have been really nice if they added some benches for people to sit and breath the air and enjoy the moment! the view is nice and you'll probably have this place to yourself, so you can enjoy some peace and quiet. Cars and bikes are not allowed, so it’s a walking distance.. if you walk all the way from the town, there’s no sidewalk on the street so.. stay safe!

Its a 20min walk from city park. From Piramida where old Maribor castle was placed we can see Maribor, Pohorje and start of Drava plain field in direction of oldest Slovenian city Ptuj. Ruins of old castle are still visible on the hill. It is a good place to see whole Maribor and plan your next sight seeing 🙂

Terme Ptuj - Sava Hotels & Resorts is a leisurely retreat with an assortment of amenities for guests to indulge in. This laid-back resort boasts two different restaurants and bars, as well as a relaxing spa complete with hot tubs inspired by ancient Rome. Additionally, visitors can enjoy activities such as tennis and working out at the fitness center. For those seeking outdoor recreation, the nearby Ptuj Golf Course offers a chance to play golf amidst beautiful scenery.
We only passed by to have a swim (didn't stay in the hotel). Perfect place to play in the water and chill in the grass under the trees. It's not a brand new pool, but it was very neat and great to spend a refreshing afternoon on a hot summer day.

We booked a bungalow which was okay, albeit a little bit dirty. The entrance door looked like it got broken in once. Bathroom wasn't something special as well. The rooms seem to be in need of restoration. Staff was mostly friendly though.
The Thermal Baath was a total disaster. It could be better described as local pool. There are only three warm little pools. The whole building is in dire need of renovation, as could be seen by the meany broken tiles inside and missing tile grout. The Sauna Park was just a little room with a few saunas and a cool-off pool, which was to warm for my liking. The whole sauna room was not that well separated from the main area and offered no place to relax.
There should have been a huge outdoor area with many watersides and additional pools which was closed due to the weather. Problem being, that no one will tell you this in advance, so you will be disappointed at arrival.
I cant tell much about the food, as we only ate breakfast there. Breakfast was okay, nothing exceptional.
If you plan on spending a relaxing weekend as a couple, you will be better off somewhere else.

We visited the Thermal park that is supposed to have an outdoor pool and a slide. However, the entire outer part is closed off and this is not clearly stated anywhere on their website. The receptionist at the Thermal park is extremely rude, condescending and self-righteous when we asked for extra clarification and information. The place offers only a half of a swimming pool (the rest is closed off for swimming school), 2 jacuzzis and 2 saunas that cannot be praised for their cleanliness. This was a let down for our family and it is the last time we visited this place.

First we booked a bungalow. We didnt know that te bungalow's dont have an air condition so we request for one with it. They offered us a room in hotel insteed for the same price, which was wery nice of them, since we had a baby with us, and outside was 35°C.
Klemen Vidonja — Google review
We did not sleep there
We only visited outdoor pools.
Due to lack of employes all the slides were not working. The offer of food is bare minimum
.no healthy choices only in the restaurant, where the meal costs 15 eur foe adults and since the entry ticket for a family with 2 kids is 61 eur I am guessing that is too much.
It was not too crowded, some waiting time for the most popular 2 slides.
Toilets were quite clean. I saw a cleaning lady in there 3 times in 4 hours. But rhere was no soap avaliable and the maching woth paper towels was broken.
So for the price you pay they should offer the variety of helathier food choices and working slides.

1. The young lady that works at the desk for the thermal park in the mornings is amazing. She is kind and friendly and helpful. I would have given this review a 1-star if it weren’t for her.
2. The lady in the evening, however, is extremely rude and unprofessional. She gave both me and my boyfriend rude attitude for no reason.
3. My boyfriend got sick from the lunch buffet
4. There are also cameras in the locker rooms which creeped me out, so be sure to go into the little stalls to avoid the cameras.
5. The towels cost 2.50€ to rent which is absurdly expensive for a towel. But I didn’t have a towel so I rented two. Someone took my towels while I was swimming. I asked for another one and was rudely told “no, I don’t know who took your towel. That’s not my problem”. So I spent 5€ on 2 towels that I didn’t even get to use. Great. :]
6. None of the pools are hot

Nice area and a lot of green spaces. However, due to Corona the saunas, pools inside and some slides were closed, still we paid the full price. And there were far too many people inside, so that we had to wait 30minutes to go on the slide. In general, they are overpriced, and it could be cleaner. The toilets were not cleaned, the personal is quite friendly though and trying hard but there are just too many people to serve and clean after. Not enough personal in my opinion. The pools were crowded so that I had to think twice before I went in.

The best about this hotel is the fact that is I'm the Dráva bike trail and next to the huge swimming pools and slides phenomenon called Terme Ptuj. They have a suitable campsite as well, including small houses and wine barrels for overnight stays
But we took he luxury approach and had a two room suite for two parents and two children. Perfectly fine. Nice balcony. Good breakfast buffet every morning. Bit of a hassle to het the right bill, get the key for the bike storage or an answer to questions. Probably they had trouble getting their staff back after the corona measures and lockdowns. Anyway, enjoyed the stay, tried the chocolate cake and were in the pools for two full days. Until it was time to go back to normal and bike to Varazdin, staying in an appartment or panzió.
Ptuj Castle is a stunning 12th-century fortress situated on a hilltop that boasts an impressive collection of historical art, weapons, and instruments. It showcases various architectural styles ranging from the 14th to the 18th centuries but still retains its majesty. Visitors can access the castle through Grajska ulica, east of Hotel Mitra, which leads to a covered wooden stairway and the Renaissance Peruzzi Portal (1570).
Small but lovely palace museum with beautiful panoramic views of the land. Artifacts telling about the history of the area. Nice gift shop for souvenirs selling typical gifts and wine. You buy your entrance tickets tyere also. Worth the visit. A short climb 5-10 minutes up the wooden stairs and then you are there. Park and Ride was a short distance from the bridge.

Nice castle that adds to a scenery of town, as it is different from each angle you look at the town.
Inside is nothing special to see unless you are a fan of art. There is no bar or coffee place and for me that is vote down. Many ways to improve, until then the entrance shall be at max 5€ and not 10€ as currently.

Beautiful historic castle in the middle of Ptuj.
The castle is equally beautiful photographed from any angle and the city is qually beautiful when photographed from the castle too.
Ticket is not expensive, you can buy here magnet gift too.
Inside the castle you can find a music exhibition too with musical instruments (autopiano, organs) and some of pieces allowed to use or just start a music with some buttons. You can find a different exhibition at each level. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
You should visit this castle, it's nice.

You could easily spend all day here. Late may was great as there were few people around. You get great views and access to no less than three museums. Including the music museam which has some interactive activities for kids. The weapons museam. And of course the castle itself with plenty of art and exhibitions. Don't miss this if you're here.
This open-air museum features 97 historic rural buildings from different federal states.
A pleasant walk in the old days, attractions for kids as well. The information about the closing time of the dining facility could be told at the ticket booth, we arrived there (ca. middle of the park) 5 min after the kitchen closing time. Still we could grab some warm food which was nice. All in all: a good plan for a weekend program with kids as well.

A very interesting place, the buildings were originally installed and evoked the life of that era. Very nice to walk. The museum floor is also interesting. In the "village" you have a restaurant where smoking is not allowed, not even in the garden. You are not allowed to smoke in the entire village. Next to the restaurant there is a small corner where smokers can hide and light a cigarette. I wasn't in the restaurant.

This is a huge open air museum where you can visit typical Austrian houses including an 18th century shop (with the counter and the shop assistant serving you) - and a few things are for sale for real-, a school, stables, barns and farms, and a lot of old objects and furnishing. The walk develops far into a little valley in the nature and a good visit will take quite a few hours. We enjoyed the visit very much. Take your picnic because there is only a restaurant at the entrance.

Very beautiful park with historical houses on display from all over Austria. This calm place gives you a wonderful glance back into a simpler, yet harder past. Almost no distractions from modern times give you beautiful immersion into the surroundings - unless you meet a cheerful school class, of course. The restaurant at the center offers very friendly service and delicious Apfelstrudel. Altogether a wonderful, down-to-earth and friendly place to learn and relax.

Lovely place and wonderfully done. S impressive houses and always something u can explore. i wogld have wished to see more of how people at that time worked and lived. Shown by real people and showcasing it but oh well. The? ids had stuff to do and that was good! there is unfortunately few guided tours during the week and there is the app which is very helpful but it keeps breaking down the whole time not helpful. Also as there is no reception there u cant even f out more on the internet. i would also recommend to have another restaurant or something there as in the park it gets very crowded there around lunch time. But it food was really tasty. Loved the lemonades they had awell. Buchteln i wouldn't recommend. Tasted a bit strange. anyways. Good to go back into history like that!

Spring 2022: Nice family activity. Entrance fee includes all attractions, which run at certain times (like 2 runs every 30 min; look at the timetable sheets). No queues here. Every attraction can easily be used in a day including the climbing park. Restaurant is okay, menu is kept simple and child-friendly. They have lots of life-like dinosaurs and even a 'real' one who comes out at 11am and 3pm!

We came to check out the Styrassic Night Lightshow, was nice. A few motion activated effects, some uniqe dinosaurs and great scenery. The infoplates on dinosaurs are updated to latest scientific discoveries or understandings. The Christkindlmarkt was also nice, good Glühwein and Sausages.
The restrooms were very clean, we didn’t eat at the restaurant.
Don’t quite understand the poor parkrating due bad restaurant conditions.

Styrassic Park or: why the dinosaurs became extinct
Dinosaurs: The quality of the dinosaurs varies greatly. Some specimens are great (Argentinosaurus, Carnotaurus), most average or below. Many eyes look completely the same, the painting is partly elaborate (Dipolocus), but seems loveless in many others to the degree where some models seem to have died a second time. All models are behind fences, you are unable to touch the models. Some models deviate strongly from the usual representations. For example, the skeleton of the T-Rex is terrific, the "live model" is more reminiscent of a Gorgosaurus, since the typical neck and eye area are missing. The "Jumpscare" seems to be more likely something from a bankrupt amusement park than an actual reference to a T-Rex. However, the soundfiles from Jurassic Park are being used (if license fees are paid is unknown though). Some of the dinosaur encounters are very far-fetched (for example Parasaurolophus vs. Deinonychus). In addition, the information boards are very short and lack scientific information for the most part (but available in four languages).
The partly spoken texts, that can be found in some scenarios, seem to have been recorded by amateurs, which makes the partly scientifically refuted theses paired with attempted flat jokes (for example, that the Brachiosaurus was "lazy" and therefore ate stones for digestion) rather unintentionally funny. The figures of the Cenozoic on the other hand are all very modest in quality at best. For example, the Saber-tooth looks more like an exaggerated Disney parody than a realistic replica. This is even more true for the evolution of humans, which look more like naive nativity scenes than scientific replicas.
Gastronomy: If you want to eat something in Styrassic Park you have to be prepared for a gauntlet, otherwise your extinction is guaranteed. Food and drinks are to be ordered via terminals. Their use is explained via asynchronously played videos exclusively in German in endless loop (here, too, the dubbing actors and the script seem to be on amateur level at best). The quality of the food is manageable. Due to the absurd time system, vegetarian options are missing most of the time.
Price: The entrance fees are quite steep. Advertising says that all attractions are included, but at every corner and end there is something to pay for. The "special performances" are also over quickly. If you arrive late (as we did) the opportunity to participate in all stations is lacking in that short time. But what weighs most heavily is that the actual dinosaur tour is over after a good hour (including listening to all texts and reading all panels and the occasional selfie). Admittedly, I have spent more than 15 euros for an hour of good entertainment, the quality of the dinosaurs in Styrassic Park is however too inferior to justify this price.
Anecdote (Golden Raspberry of customer friendliness): Due to the restrictive time corset we started our food order before 16:15, however the payment system was on strike. Before I could finalize, a gentleman (apparently the owner) came to my monitor and cancelled my order. The new order was refused as 16:15 had passed. As all pleas fell to deaf ears, my remark that I would note this in my evaluation led to very helpless "Get lost, I don't need such customers" retort. A refund was refused though, rendering the statement as wrong as some panels.
Overall impression: At every turn, personal contact seems to be avoided and profit maximization is uncomfortably at the forefront. The main actors - the dinosaurs - unfortunately fade into the background.
Yet it would be so simple: more profound knowledge, more attention to detail of the models would remedy this shortcoming. A distribution on larger enclosures, which invite to extended walks instead of densely and partly lovelessly staggered models would justify the designation as "park" - so Styrassic Park is rather a Styrassic kennel.
If you have a whole day to spare, are enthusiastic about climbing and bring your own food you may give this adventure a chance.

This is our third dinosaur theme park visit. We also visited the dinosaur park in Slovenia and Croatia.
This park has the advantage of also offering an adventure climbing park (equipment and use included in the price of admission).
Rides on the train and carousel are also included in the admission price, with the exception of a few minor things that need to be paid for (mostly €2)
The price of food is a little more expensive than in Vienna.

Alex Stoklas — Google review
The animal park is extremely well organized and clean, the animals and the surroundings are wonderfully taken care of. Despite a full parking lot, the crowd in the park is not noticeable, because the park itself is huge. You need 3-4 hours to visit the animal park at a somewhat normal pace (additional time for the castle, garden...). There are many activities for children in the park itself. The entire park is accessible by wheelchair.
Matic Goj?i? — Google review
Tierwelt Herberstein is an absolute gem in an already beautiful landscape. The animal park has a wide variety of animals in wide, open enclosures that seem to be very fitting to the animals inside them, providing then with a lot of room to roam about. You can find anything from lions to cheetahs and even arctic wolves here. The entrance fee is pretty fair, considering the high quality of the park.
It pays off to wear good shoes. Some of the paths are a bit rugged and some slopes are steep. It might be difficult for people in wheelchairs to get everywhere, but it seems like people still manage regardless.
The animal park is adjacent to a castle, which can also be viewed. Some parts of the park provide beautiful, scenic views over the lush landscape.
I highly recommend visiting during summer, while everything is green. Walking the whole round tour of the park almost feels a bit like hiking then.

Very nice place for a family to spend the day. The zoo is nice and large and animal enclosures are big and interesting. The castle is also worth seeing and taking a guided tour. A big shout out and thanks to the castle guide who makes the tour interesting and speaks many languages. There are also many toilets available which is also a plus for an area this big. One star less is the fact that they charge you entrance fee and some things could also be included in the price - like the bus ride. It was also interesting that as the closing time approached almost all the animals went out of sight. But overall a recommended place to see.

Stylish quarters in an upscale spa hotel with 5 restaurants, a wine bar & outdoor mineral pools.
Wonderful! 🤩 It's like a dream, cosy, warm, modernly odd, architectural unique and people were nice.
I already have been so some Therme's in Austria, but this one is deserved on the 1. Place in the comparison lists!
Price: expensive! 😶 1100,- for a weekend with steak, wine and some extras.
Worth it: totally! 😁
Water: hot and slightly salty 🥰
For so many people it didn't seem crowded or full (only at breakfast you really saw how many people there were).
Sometimes a waiter or employee wasn't that friendly and nice, but all in all staff was helping, greeting and smiling at you.
Arrival/departure: by train. They pick u up at the train station (just ring the "doorbell" at the train station in bad blumau) and they'll come.
All in all: superb experience!!! 😍😁🥵🏊♂️

Beautiful spa with great service (though it seems great service is an Austrian thing as everywhere I go I get great service). Lovely sauna selection, be warned you are expected to be naked in the sauna. Everywhere was clean too. I would like to see nicer changing rooms where women can do their make up and apply lotion etc in private but they only seemed to have mixed gender changing rooms that weren’t so comfortable but other than that it was a great experience and the day pass is very good value

I love this place. It’s magical. At the entrance you will be greeted by cows grazing on the meadows surrounded by apple trees. Did I mention that you can pick the apples right off the tress and take a tasty bite. Everything is incredibly clean. Stay for the night, there is a real life volcano show. There is a bar outside where you can take sips of cocktails prepared with ultimate care while you relax in the jacuzzi. The architecture is splendid.

An overall mediocre experience for the price they charge. We have been here for a weekend and nothing much felt extraordinary.
The building is a Hundertwasser Haus so everything is round colourful, etc. The general vibe is very relaxing as it should be for a spa hotel.
They have many different pools with different degrees and different waters. They have public whirlpools, wave pools, hot spring pools. In each area are many different loungers. They also have a special lounger "Kuschelliege". Those need to be reserved the day before. While the look very comfy, my wife and me did not enjoy them. Sadly there are no private whirlpools or anything like that.
Aside of the pools they have a huge amount of spa related offers: massage, aloe vera massage, pedicure, manicure, etc. However we did not try any since they are not included and we were not in the mood to pay 210 € for a couple massage with a bottle of water. They also have a salt room in which you chill and can breath salt air. This costs 18€ per person for 50 mins. It is very relaxing and helped me with my grass/pollen allergy.
Since the hotel/spa area is so big it can be hard to find your way around, they give you map though. Inside it's mostly very hot due too the indoor hot pools. Because of this most windows inside are open which is a struggle for people with allergies.
Our room was rather small in size. Toilet and shower are in the same room without any separation wall. We had an AC unit which worked perfectly fine. There is also a safe in the room. On check in we got a small chocolate and our bathrobes for the spa area. Towels are also provided. The room cleaning service was a bit disappointing. Tissues did not get refilled. Another problem with the room was that there was an annoying whistle, probably coming from the pipes.
The bed was hard and uncomfortable.
The area has a couple of different restaurants. During our stay the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet was included. The buffets have good variety, compared to other Austrian hotels, but it's still not comparable to other international hotels we have been to. The food overall is okay, but a bit too bland for me.
The service of the staff was really good, sadly there was this one waiter (a male waiter in a cafe when we enjoy live music) who was really rude when making mistake writing room number for our bill, pulling a chair carelessly, mannerless behaviour in general) so I will only give it 3 stars instead of 4.
When it comes to scenery there is nothing much there since it's in the middle of nowhere.
Overall it was okay for a weekend and for a one time experience.

I was told that I need to come back at 5pm, then out of a sudden it was ok to purchase the day pass but the price kept changing 3 times. I honestly did not care about the extra cost, I just wanted to get to the pool I drove 2h for. Then the card reader didn't work and the lady started yelling at me that I did it all wrong. Not sure how this can be the customers fault, then it started working fine. From there on it turned from disrespectful behaviour into full blown harassment. I was told to not come again without a reservation, she would send me straight home next time. I kindly asked where the bathrobes are and again she yelled at me that she already told me and that and I need to start listening. I can provide the details via email if this place is interested but I request a full refund because I paid 49 EUR to relax and not to get harassed. If I am not refunded, I will contact my credit card provider because this literally destroyed my entire experience and purchase. I am not sure why I was faced with this behaviour, it might be because I am heavily tattooed or a foreigner or some other reason. But if I was the owner, I would take a look at the mental health of this particular staff member. Time of visit: October 14th at 4:15 pm. On the way out the staff changed to two younger and very nice women, which I actually met on an visit before. If I am refunded I am willing to change my review to the good experience I had on my first visit. But I am simply not tolerating the behaviour I had to endure.

We were coming to Blumau from a very far destination, we drove over 700km because our friends have advised us to visit the Therme. The pool and spa zone were actually quite good, however, one of the main highlights we were waiting for was the buffet dinner, as our friends have told us it’s the best they ever tried.
We were very excited to go and check it out, however, we were turned around by very rude staff that told us that they do not have any free places in the restaurant anymore. No apologies, no offers to wait a little or have a pre-drink before waiting for the table to get free (we were only 2 people!).
They were very rude and not customer friendly. We found that unacceptable, thus we will once and forever forget about the place and tell our friends to go to Mauerbach instead.

Perfect.
For over 10 years, I’m coming here again and again, every year, for 3-4 days. I haven’t found yet another place like this to have a relaxing time.
The spa is top, prepared at highest level, the water from the pools is very clear and clean, warm, all you need to feel good.
The food (breakfast and dinner) it’s more than you need, you have such a big variety to choose from, you cannot leave hungry from the restaurant.
The rooms are so beautiful and cosy, cleaned every day.
People are so nice and friendly.
Every single time is real pleasure to come here.
Keep up the good work, I see myself still coming after 10 more years.
Love it!

Just one of the best hotel and spa I’ve ever been! The architecture of the place is simply amazing and creates an atmosphere of calm and peacefullness. It is surely a work of art and being there is a wonderful oportunity. It is definitely a must when visiting Austria, even if you plan just one day at the spa! Enjoy!
Calm locale featuring iconic waterfalls & hiking paths with bridges, plus themed learning stations.
Visited at late March, and even though it's still winter and the views are a little greyish it was great. Nice round trip walk with beautiful views.

Paying 5 euros entrance fee for this place is a scam
Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty and nicely build with bridges. But it’s just not worth it
It’s a single path track, you walk in one long line where the slowest person set the pace. It’s nearly impossible to stop up and enjoy the view
I recommend to enjoy the bottom part for free. And if you like walking, then take the road up 1km and enjoy the top part also for free. The 150 meters in the middle which you need to pay 5€ for is not worth it at all

Wonderful nature place to hike, with waterfalls, lakes, bridges, and plenty of raw forest to explore. We took the 90m route and really had a pleasant hike, however some parts are quite steep and slippery, we advice bringing proper gear. The tickets were 5€ per person, and the parking was free, so we intend to return for the 4h route!

A stunning waterfall system that stretches for 20 flights of narrow wooden steps that you can walk up to reach the summit.
When you reach the summit, you will find a nice meadow with a small area where children can play while parents relax with some well-deserved refreshments.

Beautiful nature, safe hiking roads, not too steep stairs and fresh air. Definitely go visit and plan for a picnic on the Upper Storage Lake (cca. 1h walk)
Kids loved it, parents too - word of advice: arrive early. If you are there by 9h30 you will have an enjoyable walk without too many crowds.

Very nice walk/hike... would definitely recommend to families with children as the area is super kids friendly. Walk up takes up to 40 minutes (without kids) along the river but you can also choose to walk through the forest, if you prefer...

A lovely place for a day hike. Even with kids it’s a delight!
Vince Granado — Google review
You get what is on the pictures, a lot to explore for kids, sound of water everywhere. Georgous landscape and countless pittoresque picture spots to polish your Instagram or just your family library. It was an amazing day, and a great possibility to create memories with the family. The food upstairs was really good (we took the beginner route).
Only downside, you are not alone, there are a lot of people up there.
Most people keep the dogs close or lined.
I can really recommend a daily trip, we have no hicking experience or equipment (even if I would recommend it, it is not required for the short track)
We will return for the other tracks for sure, there are a lot of guided parking slots (up to 10 min away from entrance).
The track is labeled as 45 min (one direction). In explorer mode (with kids) you can easily double the time.
Don't forget to take some water with you.
Nils M?ller — Google review
Peaceful series of waterfalls with wooden bridges and stairs built all along. There was a €5 (€1.5 for kids) entrance ticket that you need to keep to get through the gates and to get back. If you carry on a beautiful hill/peak is further up (Hausstein 664m). Waterfalls took about 15 mins and the hike about an extra 20mins (each way).
Mo Amani — Google review
It is very beautiful and an amazing place to enjoy hiking with water and nature around. The sound of water is just magical and comfortable. The way from both sides is very beautiful. The air is full of humidity, and the colour of nature and stone makes it even more attractive and beautiful. We were on the weekend there . There were lots of people, we still enjoyed it but I would prefer to visit in on weekdays . We were with a car 🚗 there . It was very difficult to find a parking place . We waited for almost 20 minutes to find a free place. For the people with cars, I would also say to visit this place on weekdays. This place is amazing for a picnic, hiking, swimming and for kids is this place also lots of fun.

We came across this touristic landmark and enjoyed it! You have to pay 5 euros entrance per adult and 1,50 euros for kids. The path is marked, and there is a short and a longer more difficult version. It's family friendly, no real obstacles can leisurely walk longside the waterfall and river. Even with smaller children, halfway there is a restaurant and a playground, just take your time and enjoy!

The route is quite easy, not that long, the nature is calming. Waterfalls is fine but not that special, the view from the top of the mountain is nice. Approx. 2 hours long activity.

Easy hike along waterfalls. Very beautiful in spring, but of course a lot of people on a sunny weekend. Enough parking. Four stars because of the paid entrance.
Darya Tarasowa — Google review
Beautiful place for hiking close to Vienna. The most impressive waterfalls require a ticket to see as you need to use a wooden stairs / platforms to reach them (and maintenance costs), however the surrounding smaller ones are free to see.
Definitely not a place for people in the wheelchair.
There is 3 or 4 separate free parking places so it should be easy to find a place to park.
There is a toilet near the entrance and a restaurant.
Didn't go inside, just visited to the courtyard. However it's one of the main sites in town. Worth a visit probably. The courtyard has a small cafe with drinks and seating area.

Love this place!
I love museums anyways...
This one is a lot of reading and tabloids on the wall with history in a fairly small but old castle. There are some quirky bits, like the lookout tower (I have vertigo, so only the hubby went up there with the older kids), rung the tower bell. If you go, although it costs a bit extra, it is worth watching the 3D movie about Hungarian history. For tourists it gives a really good summary, for Hungarians it is a cool short film to remind one of the school taught facts and stories. The best time to visit is the beginning of August, when there is a historical fair in the whole of the city centre, called Ostromnapok. It lasts the whole weekend and you can time travel back into the Middle Ages - eat the food, listen to the music, play the medival games or witness the re-enacting of the Hungarian-Turkish fights of 1500s with lots of soldiers and even cannon shots, the castle being the centre of attention. You can also buy memorabilia in this Mediterranean feel gem of a place.
Bernadett Davies — Google review
You can learn about history and have fun - medieval style clothing is available to try. Good fun with kids. Also the exhibition is interesting and you can have a nice walk around. Atmosphere is friendly and the castle hosts many cultural activities during the year. The most popular is the "Siege days" in August.
The Fire Tower is a noteworthy historical structure in Sopron, constructed during the 13th century. Its spiral staircase, consisting of approximately 200 steps, leads up to a balcony that offers panoramic views of the town and surrounding countryside. Once utilized as an observation post for spotting fires, it now serves as a popular tourist attraction with an entry fee of around 1200 HUF per adult. The ascent to the top may involve some caution due to narrow stairs.
City on the palm of your hand, spectacular scenery, view fabulous, museum is full of beautiful artefacts... Certainly worth visiting

I would say this represents the focal point of Sopron and with the great 360 degree views from the tower is definitely worth a visit. But you can combine this scenic experience with cultural interest by including the lapidarium which contains carved stone elements, some dating back to Roman times. Also if you go down to the basement you are standing on part of an ancient Roman road.

Definitely the symbol of the city! Indeed it is really a gorgeous monument, which can be seen from different parts of the city! Anyway, it would be literally amazing if you can even acces it to enjoy an amazing view of the city but I am not 100% sure this is not possible to do!

The biggest site in Sopron, the fire tower is a must visit. A former tower used to spot fires. You have to pay something like 1200 HUF to visit for an adult. There are only stairs to go up, but its not that many, and you actually do not go to the very top of the tower. Along the way are some visuals and descriptions that explain the history of the tower and the city. At the top the views are great, overlooking the entire city and countryside.

David, Amin and Lisa were fantastic. Excellent tour guide, incredibly knowledgeable and a very good sense of humour. A must see for history and WW2 fans.
Atif Ali — Google review
A historic site of gypsum mines. The level of the water is around 60 m. However there are 7 different sources from which water seeps in. Water is regularly flushed out to maintain the level below 1.2 m from the surface. There are calcium deposits in the water due to which no signs of life are seen.
Shubhi Misra — Google review
Very nice mine with underground lake. There is quite cold (they said us 9°C) and I would recommend to have some warmer clothes (at least hoodie). After guided tour and a boat trip you can walk freely and take photos (taking videos are forbidden for some reason).
Peter Bohunsk? — Google review
One of the largest underground lakes in Europe. This is a flooded gypsum mine you can explore by boat. It is around 9°C in there. So, don't go with a T-shirt only. The entry fees are 15€ pp. The cave was opened to the public but only very limited. Usually it is supposed to be very busy. The guide was very friendly and multilingual. There is plenty of time to explore the dry parts of the cave by yourself. There is enough light but you may bring your own light.

It was so fun walking through the tunnels! At the end of the tour, we went on a boat tour around the caves. The guide was very funny! It's 9 degrees in the caves, but they provided blankets which you could borrow.

Interesting place to visit. The cave is natural created but the water level is maintained by human. The cave and lake itself are quite plain, but with the light and electric boat and the bgm the tour trip is quite exciting. The historic spot inside also add a bit of romantic. A good one day trip option from Wien.

Found this pretty much by accident on the day of our visit. We briefly looked at some reviews online and didn't expect a lot from the reviews. However, we really couldn't have enjoyed ourselves anymore. The guide was so funny, and spoke a little english but also had a speaker which he played a pre recorded english version with after his speech in german.
The boat ride at the end is fantastic and definitely a unique experience.
The caves themselves are fantastic (albeit a little chilly).

The tour is pretty short but it’s an interesting place to see. The underground lake is in a series of connected caves so it wasn’t as as impressive as I expected. It didn’t feel claustrophobic at all, the entrance is the tightest spot on the tour. After the initial tunnel it all gets bigger.

The best part of the grotto was the guide. This man gave a very good presentation and greatly enlivened the tour.

Europe’s largest underground sea grotto! It was an old mining cave in 1913 then it got flooded which became the grotto.
We did a walking tour through the tunnels and then a boat ride. Our tour guide spoke German and then used an audio machine to play the English translation.
There was no light for 20 years and they used blind horses to lead and carry equipment. The lake doesn’t seem to be that deep from the boat. No signs of animal life. The movie Three Musketeers was filmed here with a 20 minute cave scene.
Highly recommend. It can be a bit chilly in the cave and aware that there are areas with steps.
My Le — Google review
It's a very interesting place. Completely man-made. Started off as a gypsum mine but was occupied by the German military from 1944-1945 to build aircraft. Currently, it is the largest underground lake in Europe. The tour takes about 30 minutes and includes a 5 minute boat ride in the cave system.

Very fine cave and experience. No way to order tickets in advance, so need to stand in queue in the heat. There is always room for every so no need to rush, when you get inside the cave you might wait 10-20 minutes. They have blankets for the cold
The Esterházy Palace, located in Eisenstadt, is a grand royal baroque residence that dates back to the 14th century. The castle has undergone several renovations over the years, including a neoclassical-style makeover. While many of the palace's 256 rooms are occupied by the provincial government, visitors can tour 25 rooms to gain an insight into its history and former inhabitants' lives.

We visited the castle/palace on a Tuesday afternoon and booked a tour. The tour was in German language and pretty interesting, although it focused a bit too much on stories about people who visited the castle and not enough about the building itself.
The interior is spectacular and we were permitted to even see the main concert hall, despite an orchestra already setting up and pracsticing for a concert taking place later in the evening. In the end, we also received vouchers for a café next to the castle (a free coffee if you eat a cake for at least €5,-). The castle also offers a few museums which was useful to pass the time until our tour started. We visited the wine cellars, which presented a wide variety of old tools used for wine making and other agricultural processing. This museum by itself was quite interesting and we enjoyed it. Can recommend visiting - and the pedestrian area of Eisenstadt's inner town is right around the corner as well for a stroll.

My visit to Schloss Esterházy in Eisenstadt was a captivating dive into a rich historical narrative, enhanced by the exploration of its current exhibition dedicated to Melinda Esterházy, née Ottrubay, and a modest yet authentic dining experience just opposite the castle.
Starting the day with a meal at a simple, authentic restaurant located vis-à-vis Schloss Esterházy provided a delightful preamble to the day’s cultural journey. This establishment, while not historic, is imbued with a charm that complements the grandeur of the castle with its straightforward and genuine approach to cuisine, offering a taste of local flavors that set the stage for the day ahead.
The focal point of my visit, however, was the Schloss Esterházy itself, particularly the exhibition dedicated to Melinda Esterházy, a figure of profound grace and resilience. Melinda, originally from Budapest, rose to prominence as a prima ballerina, captivating audiences with her poise and expressiveness. Her journey from the stages of Budapest to becoming the wife of Prince Paul V Esterházy of Hungary is a story of love, art, and survival against the backdrop of political turmoil.
The exhibition meticulously chronicles Melinda's early life in Hungary, highlighting her contributions to the ballet and the arts, and her eventual marriage to Prince Esterházy. It paints a vivid picture of a woman who was not only a muse and an artist but also a resilient figure who navigated the complexities of life with dignity, especially during the tumultuous times of the Communist takeover in Hungary.
Melinda’s life took a dramatic turn with the onset of the Communist regime, leading to her and her family's escape from Hungary. This part of the exhibition is particularly poignant, showcasing her strength and determination to preserve her family’s legacy and heritage despite the daunting challenges they faced. Her flight from communism is not just a tale of survival but also a testament to her unwavering spirit and grace under pressure.
The exhibition at Schloss Esterházy serves as a tribute to Melinda Esterházy’s remarkable life, from her artistic achievements in Budapest to her enduring legacy as part of the Esterházy lineage. It offers visitors a glimpse into the personal lives of one of Europe's most distinguished families, highlighting the intersection of culture, history, and personal resilience.
In sum, my visit to Schloss Esterházy was a profound experience that went beyond the architectural beauty and historical significance of the castle itself. It was an opportunity to delve into the life of Melinda Esterházy, a woman whose legacy is a powerful narrative of talent, love, and survival. The exhibition not only honors her contributions to the arts but also her strength in the face of adversity, making it a must-see for anyone interested in the rich tapestry of European history and culture.

Luxemburg town is beautiful, the park had lots of different length walks. It's €3.50 each to enter the park. We did the longest walk which brought us around the forest, across the beautiful waterfall, then finally into the grounds of Luxembourg Castle. Wonderful escape from the city chaos. Very peaceful and huge. We were on a working day, so it was quite quiet before the bus with tourists came. However, even then there are lots of hidden places for you to just be alone in the nature. We haven't done much like boat or horse ride. We just walked, had a picnic and enjoyed the time together with my little one. The parking is free which is awesome. And there are free public toilets. The entrance fee was 3 Euro per adult. There is also a big playground for kids which we tried to avoid since we wouldn't have been able to leave it ))) We are definitely coming back.

The place was perfect one year ago. Something has happend here and it started to be extremely strict. We weren't allowed to use like 90% of the rides with our 2 years old kid because he is too short (under 90cm). Our 4 years old kid had birthday on the day of visit and he also wasn't allowed to use like 50% of the rides because he is missing 2cm to be 105cm tall. It just doesn't make any sense. Why I'm not allowed to use a pig ride when I'm holding a kid which could use that ride alone? Or a ride where You just go up and down super slowly? Any 4 years old can handle that alone and he wasn't allowed to use it because he is missing 2cm?
That disappointment in his eyes is just heart breaking...

Great place, good fun for adults and children, but the number of people spoils the fun. We visited during the summer and around Halloween, weekdays both times. We started when the park opened. After about two hours, all rides required 40-60 minutes waiting not to mention the long queues at restrooms. Disappointing because the rides and attractions are awesome, Halloween decoration is spectacular.

We all love this place :). Lot of swings, and carousel has located for kids and adults as well. My favourite was Da'vinci 's wheel😁

Family Park is super fun for the children and also for parents! We couldn’t stop playing! 5 hours flew away like nothing ! Its a true wonderland.
The food is awful though 😉
Beware it can be extremely crowded with giant rows.

Great family place . On each attraction you have camera shot and you can print photo after 5-6 euro

Kurpark Oberlaa is a large park in Vienna with many paths among quiet lakes, floral displays, and play areas. It's ideal for family trips, and the lake view is stunning.

It’s a milestone in a Vienna to do list with beautiful lake and lama park. You need more than a couple hours to visit the park as it deserves. I could just visit one half and I’ll come back another time to see the other half.

The park is hugeeee!! The lake view is astonishing. Definitely a place to photoshoot with friends and family. Cafés are inside as well if you wanna eat but they are on higher end.

The most beautiful park in Vienna, if someone wants to spend a quiet day with water and nature, every recommendation. A beautiful oasis for a quiet day

This is a must for any not-first-time Vienna visitor: this huge, natural-looking yet meticulously manicured park has been built around 1970 on top of a large (and diligently secured) dumpster, but you would never guess its past. Cozy nooks everywhere, impressive, shady trees, vast lawn areas, free lounge chairs that make you relax immediately, a number of water features, a labyrinth, playgrounds, a Japanese garden... You can't really discover it all in one take.
If you are stamina-challenged, choose one of the entrances on top and then let yourself "roll" comfortably downhill.
It is quiet here mid-week; it helps that the use of anything with wheels (except strollers) is not allowed.
Once you arrived at the bottom of the hill, don't miss taking a break and enjoying a sweet delight at the Kurkonditorei Oberlaa: these folks know how to spoil your sweet tooth!

Greenest, least crowded park in Vienna. Diverse. In different sections of the park you can encounter various nature views, which makes whole park really interesting to explore. Can get there with U1

Lovely park. So close to the city. Also has alpacas. Great place for a quick picnic. You can get there on public transportation.

One of Vienna‘s nicest parks with lots of nature and even an enclosure with lamas, sheep and goats. Definitely worth seeing 👍🏼

Must visit in Vienna, picnic, workout, Yoga, photoshooting, work or just winding down this is the prefect place. No sound or light pollution in this park. Has two large ponds.
