The Wieliczka Salt Mine is a subterranean labyrinth of tunnels and chambers in southeastern Poland that has been welcoming tourists since the 17th century. The mine is famous for its crystalline sculptures, saline lakes, and two-hour guided tours.
Comprehensive tour of one of the first UNESCO world heritage sites.
The tour is quite physical and involves a lot of walking - one to keep in mind for those with mobility issues or small children.
The guide opens with the history and how the salt was mined over time. The rooms and compartments are larger and more elaborate as you deepen into the mine.
The construction is simply breathtaking.

Visited over years ago. Amazing tour. The caves were well ventilated and cool. The salt sculptures were beautiful. The attention to detail was very evident. Take at least half a day to enjoy the mine. An elevator will take one back up but the walk down the stairs is worth taking.
David E. Cruz — Google review
Much more interesting than I imagined. With such a long history too! We walked down about 50 flights of stairs and through various mined caves and connectors on our tour. Happy there's a shaft elevator to bring you back to the surface at the end!
Michael Martin — Google review
Amazing experience! The whole atmosphere was great, it didn’t give me any feeling of claustrophobia and was easy to follow. We went there with our 2 kids, 9 and 7 years old who were completely excited from the moment we entered until the end, a bit more than 2 hours. A must see in Krakow!
local friend — Google review
A very enjoyable experience. This salt mine is incredibly vast, it's hard to believe that you only visit 1% of the tunnels, which stretch for over 300 km in total. The mine has a rich history, spanning more than 700 years. Definitely worth a visit.
Pawel Brozyna — Google review
The English tour was great, and the construction inside the mine is impressive to say the least. Be mindful that there are many stairs and some narrow passageways. A lift is available, for coming up as well, but stairs are the default when going into the mine. Can easily be reached by car or public transport.
There is a lot to see in this mine, so I would recommend dedicating at least half a day for this activity. The tour can be run in many different languages, too.
Overall, a great place for a day out near Kraków.
Sam N — Google review
Overall great experience here. I took the English tour and it was very enjoyable. It is a very high traffic attraction so keep that in mind. It took about two hours to do our tour of the mine. You only get to see a fraction of this beautiful place, but nonetheless it is worth while going. I highly recommend getting a tour while in Krakow!!!
Maksim Blair — Google review
This was a very impressive experience. I saw a short video of this salt mine 7y ago on IG and wanted to go and visit. It looks so much more impressive in real life than in a pictures. This involves a lot of walking. Very busy all the time. The tour guide said during the busy season more than 80k people visit a day. When we went it was really busy and instead of having 2h tour it end up being 3.5 due to the tour group backlog. It was still an incredible experience though. Its over 250km of tunnels over there. A lot of sculptures craved out of salt look beautiful. There is a restaurant at the end of the tour, food was very nice. 100 % recommended visiting.

A UNESCO World Heritage site with some amazing sculptures in the various chapels. Nice and cool during the summer months. Various tour choices, so check the website & easy to do on your own as easily reached from Krakow .

WOW! So much to say. It was a beautiful experience; our tour lead was absolutely perfect. She spoke with confidence and made sure that she phrased in a way everyone would understand. She even added some comedy to help keep attention; absolutely loved it. She also answered all questions we had and kept us up to date on how deep underground we were and where in the mine we were. She was very kind and definitely made the experience WORTH IT! But even then the views and things you see are absolutely mind blowing. The churches and waters within are beautiful.. and very salty!

We went on the miners route tour which was a fantastic alternative to the tourist route. About 3 hours. Our guide who spoke multiple languages was excellent. He had a great sense of humour and we all had a great time. Overalls and safety equipment is provided and there are secure lockers to secure your bags and belongings. We highly recommend you take this tour.
A Non — Google review
Quite demanding on your legs, but absolutely worth it. Our tour guide was excellent and provided so much information in a fun and accessible manner! It's actually incredible to consider just how large the mines are given how much you see, but that amount only constituting a small % of the whole mine. Definitely worth experiencing if you are in Krakow - it's easily accessible by train so no need to book a dedicated tour, just book your own ticket and ride on over! (If you're lucky, you can even get in on an earlier tour!)
Iestyn Dallimore — Google review
Absolutely incredible, would highly recommend. I have no idea how people are so skilled to create such art out of the Salt Mines. We did the tour which lasted about 2 hours, and it was fantastic. I believe we went 164m deep, and only saw 1% of it! Amazing.

My visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mines in Krakow was an awe-inspiring journey that left me utterly captivated. From the moment I descended into this subterranean world, the sheer grandeur of the salt-carved chambers and intricate sculptures took my breath away.
The tour guides were not only knowledgeable but also passionate storytellers, weaving historical anecdotes and geological insights seamlessly into the narrative of the mines. Their expertise added a layer of depth to the experience, transforming each step into a fascinating exploration of Poland's rich mining heritage.
The salt formations, illuminated in a mesmerizing play of light, created a surreal atmosphere that added to the enchantment of the journey. The attention to preserving the authenticity of the mines while ensuring a safe and enjoyable visitor experience was commendable.
Navigating through the labyrinthine corridors and chambers, I marveled at the sheer craftsmanship behind the salt-carved sculptures and chapels, a testament to the centuries of labor that went into creating this underground masterpiece.
The logistical aspects, from ticketing to guided tours, were seamless, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the wonder of the Wieliczka Salt Mines. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-visit for anyone in Krakow, offering a unique and unforgettable glimpse into Poland's subterranean treasures.
In summary, the Wieliczka Salt Mines exceeded my expectations, delivering an enriching and visually stunning experience that remains etched in my memory. I wholeheartedly recommend this historical marvel to anyone seeking a truly extraordinary adventure in Krakow.

Salt Mine in Wieliczka is an extraordinary experience in the fascinating world of salt mining. The underground chambers, intricate sculptures, and breathtaking chapels carved entirely from salt are truly awe-inspiring.
The knowledgeable guides provide insightful commentary, adding depth to the tour.
A must-visit destination for anyone exploring the Krakow region.

We took a guided tour from Krakow which we booked well in advance. We were a small group and there was no waiting to get in. The tour took about 2 hours and there were about 500 steps to go down the 3 levels that are accessible to the public. Fortunately there is a small lift to take you back to the surface and it only takes 45 seconds.
The Chambers and carvings were amazing. A must do tour for Krakow!

Great experience! Would highly recommend the group tours rather than an individual one. Very informative and interactive too. Our tour guide Simon was amazing. He made it super interesting and fun:) suitable for all ages I think. Very impressed with our tour!

This is a truly breathtaking experience! The underground salt mine is absolutely extraordinary. Incredible craftsmanship - fascinating sculptures which were carved out of salt rock that shine like granite, and there were also logs that had transformed into salt over years. Such a unique atmosphere. Great tour - very educational and tour guide were knowledgeable. Such a historical gem. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Fascinating/stunning. Very well organised and executed. The guide was really knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. Plenty to see and take in. Tip; stay on and do the museum tour. You go through a labyrinth of tunnels in a smaller group taking in the history of the mines along the way. You also get a trip back to the surface in an express elevator.
Derek Crabtree — Google review
Fantastic tour. Our tour guide Renata was so entertaining and funny. The whole tour was a couple of hours but I wish it were longer. There are so many beautiful rooms and structures that I could stay there for hours taking photos. Highly recommend.
Michal Labaj — Google review
Incredible (and salty) experience! 130 meters deep below the surface in a 700 years old Polish salt mine isn’t something you get to do every day. The whole ordeal was made a lot better with a very talented and comprehensive guide taking us through it all. You get history, religion, architecture and lots more in one big, interesting package. The most fascinating part was probably the open chapel and balcony that is in fact being used for actual weddings, ceremonies and more. Without hesitation I’m sure most can conclude it is well worth a visit, even still for the price it costs.
Anders Folke Westlund — Google review
This is a must go! The experience is really good, I do recommend a guide, although it will cost you a little more you can actually learn and understand purposes of different chambers and history behind it. The guides can be bought in town centre and a Sprinter picks you up from hotel. This is a full day activity, there is a restaurant and a shop down underground which takes cash. The most fun experience in my opinion are the huge chambers such as chapel as well as the lift. The lift is tiny 8 people and sometimes miners get on it!!! It is scary but exciting at same time!
Jakub — Google review
A great experience to go down the mine, the English tour guide was brilliant. The sights in the mine and the carvings are amazing. My one warning would be the getting down and up. It's 54 sets of stairs down (a lift is optional) coming back up there is a small modern mine shift you get in with 8 people it is a very tight squeeze. If you are claustrophobic it may cause issues.
Tom wells — Google review
This place is really an experience that should be made in life! The mine is huge (more than you can imagine from outside) but some spots are really terrific and wondering at the same time! It's unbelievable thinking that people created most of them only with hand tools. You have to walk a lot and there are a lot of steps, so you should be ready but it really deserve the effort!
Giuseppe Giuseppe — Google review
Wow...what an amazing experience. Easy to get there with public transport from Krakow, the buses go there like 3/4 times per hour.
Really in love with the mine, deepest point we went was 130 meters below street level. Amazing art, really good guide speaking clearly and in proper English as well.

Amazing place. Few steps along, so make sure you are in comfy shoes. Guide was very funny and his English was spot on. We got to know a lot of stuff and he made it very interesting. Restaurant and couple shops along the way but make sure you use toilets before going.
Paid car park only.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is a must see tourist attraction. It was very interesting and amazing to get immersed in the labyrinth of tunnels, caves and caverns. Our tour guide was highly knowledgeable and spoke English fluently. The scale of the mine is mind blowing. Our tour lasted approximately three hours and our tour guide said we had only seen 1% of the mine. Learning about the history of the mine and the important part it played on Polands prosperity was very enjoyable. There are underground gift shops and a restaurant if you get peckish. The lift to the surface felt very sketchy, but was highly enjoyable.
Harry Barker — Google review
Visiting the Wieliczka salt mine was an amazing and very interesting experience. We really recommend visiting, although you have to be able to walk quite a lot. There is a lot to see and every chamber seems to offer a new surprise. Sometimes it was hard to believe one’s eyes when seeing all the sculptures carved from salt. Our guide on the tour was very nice, fun and able to tell all kinds of stories about the different chambers. At the end of the tourist route there is also a shop and a restaurant. We really enjoyed our visit. No wonder this is an UNESCO world heritage site!

My visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mine was absolutely phenomenal. From start to finish, every moment was filled with wonder and amazement.
The guided tour provided deep insights into the history of salt mining while showcasing the stunning architecture and natural formations hidden beneath the surface. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience even more enjoyable.
I cannot recommend this attraction enough - it's a must-visit for anyone traveling to Krakow!

Incredible venue. I didn’t expect such a place. The guides are very professional and funny. You can have a lunch or dinner down there as well. The history is very interesting to ear. I definitely recommend if you are in Krakow, a must seen. I will come back.

In addition to the heel and toe system, you can go up the hill from Zakopane with a lift. I recommend buying lift tickets in advance. Starting in the morning, queues for buying tickets are usually very long in the summer when the weather is nicer. The lift also has an intermediate station where you can make a change if necessary and change part of the ascent (or descent) to a walking tour. The upper lift station also has restaurants (on two floors, the lower of which is always less crowded), a toilet (for a fee) and a phone charging station (lockable free lockers in the room next to the toilets).
Indrek Martin — Google review
Beautiful but too much waiting time for the cable car.
The museum tells the story of how Oskar Schindler, a German businessman, managed to save the lives of many Jews during the Nazi occupation of Krakow. It features exhibits about life in Krakow during World War II and the city's underground resistance movement. There are also rooms dedicated to Schindler and the Jews he saved.
If you want to visit somewhere with your friends in Krakow or if you are interested in history you should visit this place. Very cheap price and discount for students. If you want to buy things like souvenirs you can buy them.
Omar Alimov — Google review
One of the best museums I've ever visited and certainly the most tactile museum of this kind. Each room is themed differently with walls, floors etc. fitting the theme. An insightful portrayal of the impact on Poland throughout the war and an emotionally charged visit. Would really recommend the guided tour as I don't feel like we would have got as much out of our visit without this.
Beth K — Google review
The movie is my first impression of the Jew history, so I visited this museum when I have this chance. The museum showed and recorded that history, its well designed route. I didn’t get much time to well go through the whole museum, but still glad to be here and walk into this unforgettable history.
Olivia Chen — Google review
I recommend buying tickets online in advance so you don’t have to wait and get a guaranteed entrance.
Super informative museum about the life of what it is like living in Krakow during world war 2 and how Jewish people were treated. Highly recommend going it takes about 1 and half hours to 2 hours to walk all the way through and read all the information.
Luke — Google review
Quite pricey for what you get, very little about Schindler himself and the story of the Jews he saved due to the factory and more focused on the impact of the war on Krakow. The story is quite limited and focused on emotional impact rather than information. Very few exhibits but I guess being able to stay near Schindler's desk should be reward enough.
You need to book even a week in advance, there are companies that offer guided tours who hog all the tickets. Be sure to enter the place at the time you are scheduled and not earlier because otherwise you will run into groups on a tour and it will be tough to move about.
I do have to admit the organization is quite good, once I realized I entered earlier than scheduled, I waited for 15 minutes for the two groups in front of me to clear and I did have a relaxed experience
Claudiu — Google review
One of the most informative and detailed museums I’ve visited. To be honest we hadn’t looked at reviews first so we didn’t know what to expect, but the museum took us on a journey from prewar Krakow through the evil horrors of the holocaust and beyond. This museum is far more about the experience of the Jewish residents of the city than it is about Oskar Schindler. His heroic actions are presented in the context of the changing lives (and sad deaths) of Polish Jews. The overall museum experience is both heart wrenching and inspiring. This, slightly out-of-way museum is a strongly recommended visit. We waited for about 30 min to get in and found that tickets were available despite the website saying otherwise.
Bob Cook — Google review
A must when visiting Krakow. The museum is amazing and very informative. You will need at least 2 hours or more to take in everything the museum has to offer. I would recommend getting there early and buy a guide book.
Icicle Ike — Google review
A must-visit for everyone interested who wants to learn more about history. It can be a bit crowded and there are two ways of visiting it: on your own and with official guides. The tour with a guide takes around 2 hours and it's worth it, even though I would have liked a few more minutes in some rooms to look at all the objects and posters that were there.
Florencia Daniele — Google review
Amazing museum, guided tours in English but are very rushed, they have 1hr 50min.to complete the tour. We held back and did it at our own speed, you get more info. £6.50 entrance, worth every penny but get very busy
shane thompson — Google review
Very educational and lots has gone into making this an educational and respectful experience. Are tour guide was extremely passionate about the information she was giving and was clearly very invested in her work. I would advise doing the tour but perhaps also spending time alone to read the information and really absorb the place and it's significance.
AARON — Google review
No doubt one of the best museum I have been. Oskar Schindler isn’t the entire theme about the museum but instead, they put you through a journey about Polish and Jews during WW2 and how Krakow was at that point of time. The journey that this museum aims to take you through is indeed very well planned. Instead of just exhibits after exhibits, the museum is interactive and intriguing. Especially the part where they made you walk on uneven ground to reach towards the area of bright light. It’s just too thought provoking. I highly recommend this tour for anybody especially those who takes keen interest in modern history.
Patrick Lim — Google review
This museum is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. We booked a tour as this was recommended by a friend. As they did not and wished they did. The guide was very good and pointed out things that we may have missed. I would like to return to do the tour without a guide as so much information to read and take in if you love history.
C Stenning — Google review
I'm disappointed to not really see any of the factories. It's just a museum within the old factory. The only machines are in the reception.
The photos were amazing, and the office of Schindler himself was amazing to see. Especially the map behind his desk.

Important historical exhibition. VERY very busy (even in shoulder season / start of November), best with guide. Gets booked up quickly but resellers (eg Get your Guide) can sell you tickets at a reasonable price (£5 extra per person, but this includes an excellent guide) we booked the day before - had we not booked with them we would not have been able to go. Book at least a week in advance otherwise you won't be able to book directly. We had a knowledgeable and easy to understand English speaking guide - a Polish Australian - easy-going and fun. Also headphones issued so we could hear the guide clearly without him shouting. To be honest we have had 4 English speaking tours over the last 4 days in Krakow and it has been hard to understand some or a lot of what was said (big groups, noisy rooms, Polish accents etc) - this was the best.
Michael Heng — Google review
The visit proved to be both inspiring and a reflective moment on the events of World War II. With free admission on Mondays, albeit accompanied by a brief 15-minute queue, the experience provided a unique opportunity to delve into the historical significance of the site.
Alberto Masiero — Google review
This NOT about Oscar Schindler's story. For this you can watch the movie. This is about the German occupation of Krakow and in it you will glimpse Oscar Schindler's if you look hard enough.
But overall a very interesting museum. The place was packed with tours on Sunday afternoon.
Eric J — Google review
Those hoping to find out much about Oscar Schindler and his story are likely to be rather disappointed by this museum, as although this is the site of his factory, he is only really covered in the introductory film and the couple of rooms that were his and his secretary’s office. Otherwise, this is mainly the story of Kraków during World War II, with a particular focus on the Jewish community and Płaszow concentration camp. It does an excellent job of telling this story and unless you really are obsessed with Schindler, it is definitely worth visiting and allowing 2-3 hours to do so. Everything is in Polish and English, and the story is brought to life with numerous photos. At times, aesthetics have been prioritised rather expense of legibility; some of the boards are on backgrounds that make them almost impossible to read. It can also be hard to be an individual visitor with guided tours clogging up many areas, as the museum is really not spacious enough to accommodate tours. These are minor quibbles for improvement and I would certainly recommend a visit. It can get popular and ticket slots sell out, so reserve ahead online if possible (you can collect and pay at the ticket office).
Phil Bradford — Google review
We visited the museum on a free entrance day, so we had to wait in line, because we came a bit later. It went quickly, but it's good to arrive as soon as possible. On other days, be sure to buy tickets in advance.
I definitely recommend it to those who like history, but also to everyone else as a reminder of the cruelty and senselessness of war.

Very informative and interesting giving us lots of knowledge about the war not just the factory or Schindler. Great guide at a good pace allowing time for photos. Provided headphones so that everyone could hear the your guide easily.
Great place to find out about Poland during the war with amazing exhibits.
Easy to rebook but needs more information when waiting to enter. Booked through the museums website but we're told to wait for a private tour that we meet outside at the front. Lots of people also waiting and being told by security to wait outside for their private tour. Once met everything was well organised and smooth.

I was surprised by how interactive the museum is - there are many places you can be immersed in the story. also the plethora of artefacts is probably unmatched nowadays. it is absolutely worth a visit but mind where you’re getting your tickets from - I got them from a third party website and had to wait past my booked time for the man to bring the tickets to me, as they’re not handled by the museum itself.

Fabulous venue. Wonderful insight and information about the man himself, the fantastic work he did here, and also a lot on information about the German invasion, the Ghettos, and the general terrible treatment of the Jews and Poles by the Germans after the invasion. Must see venue.
Krupówki, a renowned street in the city, is a picturesque cobblestone thoroughfare that houses an array of charming shops and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides or peruse art galleries and souvenir shops along this primary artery. At the lower end of the street, small vendors sell locally-made artisanal items such as wooden boxes, linen sweaters, hats, gloves, special leather shoes unique to Zakopane and more.

While exploring Zakopane, it's worthwhile to taste local specialties, such as grilled cheeses and the sweet treat "krówka" made from milk caramel.
The old street of Zakopane, adorned with the renowned Krupówki, has gracefully preserved its heritage and cultural legacy over time. Centuries-old buildings, cottages adorned with wood carvings, and enduring stone walls infuse the street with a magical atmosphere. Walking on the quiet cobblestone paths, one can sense the spirit of the past, while the offerings of traditional shops and cafes eerily evoke the ambiance of bygone eras. Zakopane's krówka old street is a place where history and local culture meld, creating an idyllic setting for those who venture to explore.

Krupówki is a vibrant street in Poland, particularly famous in Zakopane. It's like the heart of the town. When you walk along Krupówki, you'll find a lively atmosphere with colorful shops, cozy cafes, and delicious food stalls. It's a food lover's paradise with traditional Polish dishes like pierogi and oscypek cheese readily available.
The best part is the variety. Whether you're in the mood for hearty mountain cuisine or just want to satisfy your sweet tooth with a delightful dessert, Krupówki has it all. The street is also dotted with souvenir shops, making it a great place to pick up some local gifts.

It is a nice downtown. There are many stores and restaurants.
The Rynek Główny is the main market square in Krakow and it is surrounded by some of the city's most important historic sites. The plaza originally dates back to the 13th century, and it is still considered one of Europe's largest medieval markets. Aside from monuments to Adam Mickiewicz, there is a sculpture called Eros Bendato which depicts the severed head of this Greek God.
What a lovely central area. The markets and the food stalls were great. We had a meal outdoors and later on cake and coffee at another cafe. Found a brilliant jazz club on the square where we had a brilliant evening. Got a late bite at one of the stalls in the early hours of the morning which was huge and delicious so was shared by all. All places were great. The architecture is amazing the whole place is very pleasing. The climb up the narrow steps in the clock tower was hard work but the view at the top was stunning. As it was Easter not everything was open but there was still plenty to see and do. Would love to visit again in the summer.

Nice old town square, I only had a bit too much of initiative-inspired younglings chasing me around asking for donations. It kinda cripples the mood, sorry. Too many, some even twice...
Otherwise it was great.. if you can get 5 minutes alone time to take a look around...

Fascinating architecture and an amazing church. The inside is the most ornate I have seen. The altar is nothing short of spectacular. You need to check entry times as this is an active church.

Absolutely beautiful building and we were lucky enough to be there at the right time to have a look inside. Free entry, just remember that people use it for mass. Be respectful, stay quiet and enjoy the beautiful interior.

🎄🎄 Yummy home made dumplings and desserts 😋 I love it!!
If I come here again, I want to here !!!
And You have to pay to enter the Church.
However, some stores were charged more by foreigners and had high prices with menus that we didn't even add. I feel so bad.😡😡😡😡

Nice array of resturants, high end, low end. Lots of michelin.

This is a great souvenir place in old town Kraków. They sell many interesting things and the popular Polish Pottery. This is not my first time there and I really enjoy each time I visit, especially since there’s so many beautiful things to see around it.

It's a tourist attraction and one of the biggest old town squares in Europe. The view was amazing and full of history. This place will tell you how this town became the most important trade route in Europe. Don't miss the trumpet player every hour from the watch tower.

On the hour you can hear a trumpet playing from the clock tower, it’s a track not live do t be fooled like I was haha
Such a vibrant laid back square unlike any other square in Europe. Multiple market stalls selling fridge magnets and gifts, a multitude of bars and restaurants with indoor and heated outdoor seating areas. A relaxed and chilled atmosphere

A beautiful and historic square, one of the best I have been to Europe. It is also one of the largest. Especially cool during the Christmas period when there is a market and a large Christmas tree. Has its fair share of people who have had too much drink, homeless people, etc…as in all cities in Europe, but it is a must see if you are visiting Krakow.

Lovely old town of Krakow, the biggest in Europe as well. Definitely worth visiting if you are going to Poland and Krakow. The old church there rings the bells every hour, make sure you listen out for the trumpet player who plays after and see if you can spot them! The cloth hall shops are in the heart of the square as well and a must to visit. Plenty of eating places all around also and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Enjoy every second being there. Because of good weather, there were many people in centre, but anyway it is a very beautiful city. Stay in the center city, but after that take a walk around, you will enjoy!

A beautiful building , a row of arches run right down each side. There are lots of neat little shops that run all the way down the building. Selling a wide range of holiday gifts, toys, glassware, t shirts, knitwear, and lots of other good items. It stands in the centre of market Square. Which is a fabulous sq of buildings with shops, bars, hotels, restaurants and the Bell tower and ClockTower.
We stayed 4 nights and found the restaurants selling fantastic food and drinks at a great price.
Also there's an underground museum that is fantastic and well worth a visit.

Beautiful place with a feel of old town. You can see horses, kids playing with pigeons and a local market for shopping. And if you are lucky you can even see street shows going on at around evening time. Overall a good place to visit at the heart of krakow.

Main square that used to be as main market square in the past, its Krakow city’s centre’s heart. Elegant buildings with historical medieval architecture busy day and night time. There are few highlights like Town Hall Tower, St Mary’s Basilica, Cloth Hall and church of St Adalbert. The biggest brand shops, many restaurants , picturesque buildings and beautiful horse carriages.

We had x3 nights, family of 5.
Lovely place and scenery. Very clean.
Did various museums and tours, visited the castle and plenty of interesting cellar bars and restaurants away from the square.
Sad we missed the underground museum in the square. We found this out on our last day and it was shut
Would book some places before you go.

The Wawel Royal Castle Museum is a beautiful and historic site that contains examples of Gothic, Renaissance, Romanesque, and Baroque architecture. It is located on the banks of the Vistula River in Poland and was once the royal residence of kings and queens. The museum is well-maintained and contains many interesting artifacts from Poland's history.
Firstly, please note, this is not located in the correct place, it is actually located within the Castle Courtyard within the building to the left of the State Rooms, I know, I went there several days ago. It is the Crown Treasury and Armoury, see photo of Castle Plan.
Both are worth visiting. The Crown Treasury display is particularly good as it spotlights on the treasures exhibited with darkened room so you don't get back reflection from the glass cabinets.

Beautiful architecture from when Poland was under control by several different cultures can be observed in the domes. Besides the long uphill entrance, the rest of the castle grounds were beautiful. You can also see the "legendary" dragon sculpture breathe fire from above. ;)

2. The best city view especially for sunset.
3. The eco-greenery over the walls is mesmerizing.
4. Peaceful place and free arms chairs are available to sit.
5. The localities are very friendly towards foreigners.
6. Romantic place for couples for hand-in-hand walks.

An overly complicated experience. Every part of this place is a separate ticket. We bought tickets for every area in there. Our first place was the cathedral only to be told we needed to buy another ticket for that. Which we didn't get. Then we noticed that on our tickets they had timeslots. Spread over 4 hours ( you can see everything in under an hour), we didn't plan staying that long so we wasted money on tickets for things later in day. This wasn't explained to us when buying tickets. Was a beautiful castle but the ticket system made no sense. It should be buy a ticket and go look at everything you want to see. They would even make more money that way as people aren't always going to see everything there. Gardens are worth a visit if you do go but I for one would never visit it again.
Arran Polhill — Google review
It's worth the visit but nothing special. We went into the cathedral inside which was very nice and the state rooms. You need separate tickets for each building. The state rooms are nothing special, we didn't take the audio guide as it wasn't clear that there was this option and we do regret it. Everything was warm and clean and very well presented and preserved.

A lovely place to visit with rich history. We went into the cathedral as well. You can go up to the bell tower which is cool, but be warned the stairs up are very steep and very small. Not for the light hearted 😂

It was snowing on this visit, but the architecture and features were still impressive.
You do not need a ticket to tour the grounds, only if you wish to tour the castle rooms, which is done with a guide.
These are extensive and together with the historical explanation of Polish history, make a lengthy and very interesting tour.

As a history enthusiast, visiting the Wawel Royal Castle was a dream come true. This remarkable architectural gem in Krakow, Poland, truly captures the essence of the nation's rich and illustrious past.
Upon arriving at the castle grounds, I was immediately struck by its imposing presence and the sense of history that pervades the air. The intricate details and grandeur of the castle's exterior instantly transported me back in time to an era of kings and queens.
The castle complex boasts stunning gardens and courtyards, offering picturesque views of the Vistula River and the city of Krakow. Strolling through these serene spaces, I felt a sense of tranquility and appreciation for the beauty that surrounds the castle.
The staff at Wawel Royal Castle deserves special mention for their warmth and knowledge. They were always ready to share fascinating stories and historical facts, making the visit even more enriching.
Whether you're a history buff, an art lover, or simply someone who appreciates beautiful architecture, Wawel Royal Castle is an absolute must-visit. It offers an immersive journey through Poland's past and leaves you with a deep appreciation for the country's cultural heritage. My visit here was an unforgettable experience, and I cannot wait to return someday to continue my exploration of this exceptional historical landmark.

Completely stunning. It is free to enter and walk around the courtyard, then many ticket offices for entry to the various exhibitions and the cathedral around the site. Beautifully restored and colourful with lovely flower displays. We just walked around the courtyard due to a train to catch, but allow a few hours to do it properly. Excellent food options on terraces overlooking the main sites.

It’s very unusual that I ever feel the need for a bad review on any historical place that I’ve ever visited but here we go. It was just a very frustrating ticketing process with separate payments for literally ten different parts of the castle. We paid for the two main areas plus the tower and spent too much time trying to find them and to be honest weren’t as impressive as some of the free places I’d already visited in Krakow. It just felt wrong and the whole system needs to be scrapped and simplified. One more pet hate of mine is paying for the restroom after you are already a paid to enter guest.
Scouser1965 — Google review
You definitely need some time to spend there because the castle is big and the complex included also the cathedral and the dragons den. The entrance to the grounds is free but in order to get inside you need tickets. I did not visit the interior of the castle as there was a very long queue and did not have much time. If you wish to visit inside you would be advised to book your tickets in advance.

The Castle is very eclectic. Recently I visited early in the morning and was able to enjoy the outside of the castle without a bunch people around. It was very peaceful.
Last year I took the Crown Treasury tour and my group was not a fan. There were rooms we enjoyed and history that was discussed but we obviously chose the wrong tour. It was long and history on objects did not interest us. (At the time, it was the only tour option left)

We had a guided tour, which I'd recommend as we didn't know anything about the castle.
Stunning tapestries and furnishings.
I would have liked longer to explore as there were three floors, and we hardly touched the surface.
Looked beautiful with the snow.

This is an unmissable experience in Kraków. The castle is divided into several different museums and you can just do one or two, but if you want to do more than three it makes sense to buy the all-inclusive ‘Wawel for Enthusiasts’ ticket. It will need four or five hours to do it justice, but it does mean you get to see some of the quieter exhibitions that you might otherwise miss, such as Lost Wawel. The highlights are naturally the state and private apartments, but every museum has something of interest for those who really want to engage with this site in detail. Should additional energy be required, the café-restaurant by the ticket office is very good. Note that the cathedral is a separate ticket paid for by the cathedral entrance.

It is a good way to spend your time. A huge benefit of it is that most of it is actually free. We aren’t the kind of people to be interested in these type of things therefore we’re being quite neutral when it comes to it. It’s a way to spend some time without spending your money unlike other attractions nearby!

If you are ever in Krakow, you must visit the castle. It's a fairly large complex of buildings on top of a hill, the walk up isn't hard as there is a road leading up.
The view from above is great, and guided tours are available for the castle itself. I cannot comment on the tours since I myself didn't do one, but tickets are required.
It's located near other landmarks in the town and it's easy to walk to and from the castle and the old centre.
Verdict: definitely worth the visit
Tatralandia is a year-round water park that offers both indoor and outdoor pools, thrilling rides, and various slides. It's an ideal destination for a hot summer day with its fun rides, water slides, tubing wave pool, and wave machine. The park also features a children's pool to keep the little ones entertained. Additionally, during winter when skiing conditions are unfavorable, Tatralandia serves as a great alternative with access available using skipass.
I have been in Tatralandia twice and it is my favourite water park on Earth! There is entertainment for kids and adults, all in one. The food is great and you don't have to worry about it at all. The outdoor pools are perfect during the winter, making the experience unforgetable. I must visit Tatralandia with my family on summer holiday. I recommend this place for everyone who wants to relax or just spend time with their family 💗

I can not judge the place appropriately since i have visited it during COVID-19 restrictions, but it's quite nice. A lot of saunas, fun for kids and so on. It is a bit pity that kids are allowed to saunas, it is a bit noisy there.
This hole for used water could be a bit better hidden from sight of visitors.

Extremely overcrowded. There are not enough chairs, not even close. We managed to find one small chair for all the group (9 persons). We arrived 1 hour after opening and it was way to full and people were still coming in.
For sure we'll never get back here. In Hungary or Austria ar way better options.

To be honest, maybe this place had its glorious days but it for sure was like 20 years ago. It's overpriced (I have been in modern aquapark in Austria and it was cheaper). It also stinks a lot, normally in pools you expect some hygienic/chlorine smell, here you won't get it. Another thing is that the water looks dirty, there are these small pools for feet's so you can rinse them, so you won't get fungus, but water in them was almost brown. And as other people comment, yep, it was overcrowded as hell, 30min waiting for one slide
Rados?aw Skiba — Google review
Slides were nice, long lines on two biggest slides on which one of them (yellow one) was not very exiting, but another one (blue one) was nice. Sad thing is that if you want to skip the line you have to pay extra, which lead to the fact that if you don't want to pay extra (because you already paid for the ticket), you will wait even longer (we waited for more then hour - not worth it as other slides were also very good, especially checkered (red and white). Facilities were relatively clean, enough food or drink choices, easily you can spend whole day if the whether is good (best time to come when outside is sunny and it's around +27 degrees).

I visited in the summer and it was unbearably crowded, causing me to leave after an hour. However, I went back today during school term time, and it was incredible! Not too many people, everywhere was clean and tidy, and no wait on the toboggans. I had lunch at the restaurant and admittedly wasn't expecting much. The food was made to order and absolutely delicious! They even had a vegan option. Very impressed across the board. If you can go on a weekday when kids are at school, then you'll have a great time.

Very disappointing experience. We paid 28 euros for 2-3 small pools. The slides and the surf pool were closed an that's why we came for. Not normal. In this period, when its not summer or ski time, not recommend. I think they dont sell enough tickets and when you get there surprise :D

Extremely busy place, way too many people and not enough room for everyone. A rainy day with everyone jammed inside, expensive food, in the pools people were shoulder to shoulder. The kids pool area was great but again so crowded with adults standing in the pools with hardly any room for the kids. This place is so well designed and built but unfortunately with no limits on daily tickets it becomes far too crowded. Disappointing to come all the way here…

We bought Gopass ticket that included Tatralandia admission and we planned to spend there a rest day while skiing. But it appears that sauna is not included and you have to pay additional 20 euro (and 5 euro for towel) for it - and you could spend only three hours there. Including Gopass price it will cost you about 80 euro per adult. I wish Gopass site was more specific about what services they include in their "offers".

In the winter period this is not bad alternative for skiing in case of bad weather conditions. Good news, that enter is available with skipass (if it was not used on the slopes this day). A lot of areas for kids of different ages. However not all pools are operating, only 6 slides were available, additional payment is required for saunas. Also for those, who have thick hair, i would recommend grabbing your own hairdrayer.

Extremely overcrowded, you pay a 34 Euros entry fee and you can't even find a chair to sit down.. you must leave your belongings on a shelf and stand all day, nowhere to lie down to relax. Very few changing rooms. You have to pay extra for everything, the sauna is not included. There is always full in the cafeteria, you have to wait with your food in hand for a spot to empty so you can sit down and eat. The pools are quite small, not able to fit as many people they let in. The staff doesn't speak English and seems very unwelcoming and rude to foreigners. I would definitely not recommend. I think it's not worth the money for what it can offer, by far.

Tiny little pools and over all cleanliness was dirty and disgusting. You can little see the green sludge on the side of the walls if you simply rub your finger against. There are like 6 changing rooms and you have to wait! Dont waste your money here and take the drive to zakopane for a real thermal bath experience. The only good thing I can say about this place is the parking lot is easily accessible and lots of spots to park.

I went there as a couple, the weather at Jasna ski resort was a mess....raining. we had the gopass so we used our skipass for wich we pay around 60 euro. It was ok for us. But the surprise came when we want to go to the sauna......celtic spa i think ia called. We did not have any discount in the price we had to pay around 20 euro/person we did not went .....it was to much.... 60 euro the ski pass that we sdis not use plus 20 around 80 euro /persone. It is not fair. If you go without go pass you pay 30 euro the entrance and 20 the spa......They have rethink the sauna entrance for the gopass ski that not use the pass.
Now the aquapark it self is nice for the kids. For adults they have the termal bath outside. Inside is 80%kids .

The Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp is one of the most notorious sites of the Holocaust. It contains displays of gas chambers, and remains almost completely intact. It is essential to visit both Auschwitz I and Birkenau in order to truly understand the horror of the place.
A must see in Poland. There is so much history here. It's a much more real experience to see the remnants first hand than to learn about it in school.

It's worth going here to get some understanding of the scale and suffering that Jews and others had handed out by the Nazis during their time in power.
Walking around the camp just shows what man can do to fellow man. The suffering and death on an industrial scale.
The museum does well to preserve the past so we don't forget.
There is a lot of walking involved so plan ahead especially if you take a guided tour as they move quickly but do give you lots of information about the camp and the people who went through the gates, many for the last time.

I am giving five stars mainly due to the fact that many people and organisations have taken concrete steps to ensure people don't forget what happened here during WWII. This place is a reminder of the darkest side of human nature, to torture and kill another human for the heck of it..
I would recommend this visit to everyone, and to soak in the history that took place not so long ago.

It feels wrong to mark your experience as "loved it" for such a somber trip. It is however a trip everyone should make at least once in their life. Soon people who survived this horror will not be among us. It's important we remember and never let something like that happen again.

Probably one of the most badly organised tourist destinations in the world !
Always wanted to visit but was very disappointed, the complete cluster fxxk of the main entry, the inability to secure private tickets in advance via a official site, this resulted in almost 45 min to wait in a outdoor line until we could get to the ticket office and then another 2 hour wait until our time slot to actually get through the gate.
I'd gladly pay €5-10 for advance tickets if I could get a guaranteed time to get in when I arrive.
Once in there was no real flow or direction of what to see or what order to see it in. The official map was about as much use as sand in a desert, honestly a 5 year old could have drawn a better plan.
Inside large tour groups dominated all the various things to see and we were often barged out of the way or unable to pass them while they blocked doors or things to see.
My impression of the place has been ruined by visiting it and then when coming out, they don't even have clear signage where to get public transport back or a covered bus stop.
The urban planner / architect who designed the new entrance and coach part obviously never tried visiting as a tourist.

Incredibly somber and emotional experience. Seeing the scale of what happened here is overwhelming.
We visited on a nice sunny day, but I couldn’t help but feel what the conditions must have felt like for those held within the camp during the harsh polish winters.

We visited both camps, the total tour took about 4 hours. This place is very atmospheric, creepy. It is obligatory for everyone to visit, you need to know and not forget the history so that there are no more such things.

Powerful to say the least!
This was part of my bucket list of places to visit and WOW it did not disappoint. Moving does not do this place justice, understanding what the Jews, gypsies and other minorities went through during the Second World War, you can watch as many documentaries as you like but actually walking in their footsteps really does bring it home…..Unforgettable
Jasna Góra monastery in Poland is a renowned spiritual site that was established by the Paulite order from Hungary in 1382. The hill on which it stands, Jasna Gora, is considered as the country's spiritual capital. It houses several remarkable sacred artworks apart from the celebrated Icon of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa. Pilgrims visit this shrine to witness miracles attributed to this painting in Lady Chapel, although there are other notable attractions too.
Beautiful place, I love it. The services are very often and also in different languages. Car park by the road next to monastery costs 7.2 zł (1.5£) per 3 hours. You can also eat very good food not far from the monastery. We ate at Kredens and food was delicious. It is 3 min walk from main monastery gate.

The sanctuary of Jasna Góra is a meeting place for Christians of a large part of Europe. It does not matter which time it is, it is always crowded. The sanctuary and the church are beautiful, and the guided visit is very instructive. Anything you would like to know will be answered by them. It is near the centre of Częstochowa, and is located in the most beautiful area of the city, being the sanctuary the highlight of it. A compulsory visit if you go to Częstochowa.

This is a truly stunning place. The architecture is amazing, the interior is breathtaking. I am not religious but standing inside this building I can honestly say i was left humbled and at peace. The art work is amazing, the sacred Black Madonna is beautiful. Do not miss this opportunity.

One of the largest church in Poland with a huge yard and a wonderful interior. The statues outside and inside the building are very beautiful and are very old. Its then main attraction of the city. I would recommend to dedicate a whole day for it.

Książ Castle, the largest castle in Lower Silesia, is a grand chateau-style complex situated on a hill overlooking the river Pelcznica and part of the Waldenberg mountains. Originally built in 1288 and expanded in the 16th century, it showcases Gothic, Baroque, and Rococo architectural styles. The castle offers guided tours with informative audioguides that seamlessly lead visitors through its rich history and art gallery.
This is a lovely castle, with a lot of history. Much of the interiors are unadorned compared to what they were, but the setting is stunning. It feels like stepping back in time, especially in the fall. There are paths to walk the grounds and access from the road is simple and scenic.

This is a beautiful castle with a lot of history. When you go in and purchase the ticket they give you several options one with the tour of the Underground included and I would recommend going that route as the tour underground is also very good. They will give you an audio guide that will walk you through the whole castle and give you the history and events that transpired through the years. The tour takes about the proximately 2 hours to complete with the audio guide and I like the way they set up their audio guide as you can skip ahead to something that interests you a little bit more which is a nice touch. The audio guide is location based. There is so much to see here and what I especially liked was the turn of the century pictures of everyday life. Some of the places in have amazing views of the surrounding Countryside and of the Immaculate Gardens. The gardens around the castle are just beautiful unfortunately the day I was there it was raining.

Did both the castle and the underground tour. As non-Polish speakers, we're very impressed by the audioguide. Works seamlessly as you walk through the castle and exhibition. Very much intrigued by the family history and a lot of information is provided. We spent hours, so make sure to have enough time if you want to visit other sights as well. Also with the underground tour, we didn't feel left out with the audioguide. All in all a very fun, informative day. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazing place, stunning huge building's perfectly maintained. Best audio guide I've ever had which knew which room you were in and automatically told you what was there, then directed you to the next place. Stunning national stud stables and the palmery. Plus the underground Project Reise tunnels. Food and drink were very reasonable also.

A really historic Castle that has been well maintained. The surrounding area of the Castle is well maintained too. It was great to see the old mines, the Stud Stables & the Palm House aswell. All the staff were helpfull & friendly. The toilets were kept clean & maintained well. The Castle grounds were kept well & there were good directions around the Castle. Overall a good day out for the whole family. 👍👌😁💥

Castle Ksiaz... there are a lot of things which I can write here about this castle. But surely it is just impossible to tell all interesting things about this castle here.... it is much better to open Wiki or other sources and read, there is a lot of interesting information including medieval history, Hitler's "golden trains" and many others. Or you must come, take an audio guide (included into entrance fee) and see & listen.... there are a lot of very interesting stories, there are many unsolved secrets even now. Enjoy the castle, the subterranean, the magical terraces...

Ksiaz Castle in Poland is an awe-inspiring gem! The castle's rich history, stunning architecture, and breathtaking views make it an unforgettable experience. With over 400 rooms and a sprawling 316 hectares of grounds, Ksiaz Castle is a true marvel. Its grandeur and charm captivate visitors, while the surrounding landscape adds to the enchantment. A must-visit destination!

The price of the ticket is worth paying. Huge area to see. They gave an audio guide that automatically switches while you changing different halls. The audio guide is available in a few foreign languages. Parking is overpriced: next to Castle the price is 30 pln, further - 20 pln. And when you enter the castle there is a toilet with an entrance fee - 5 pln, which in my humble opinion should be included in the price of the ticket. Overall it is a great place to spend a day with a family or loved ones.

This is a unique and interesting castle, a must visit - but stay away during public holidays. I had a misfortune to visit during May holidays - and was extremely disappointed. It is a pity that this beautiful historic place does not have a strong advocate to resist showcasing yard furniture as an advertisement in a museum! This place deserves better.

Very stunning castle. Interesting to see how it expanded over the centuries. During second world war germans dig out the tunnels under the castle, no one knows what purpose it was.
Rooms in the castle decorated very nicely. Audio guide was really good, so much history there. We couldn't go to the gardens as it was closed due to being off season though. Definitely recommend visiting.

Peculiar castle vast in size with several different styles blending. Not quite sure if it is worth visiting but for sure intricate
Alexia Karakassis — Google review
We just visited the castle from outside as we didn't have enough time to go for a tour. There's an individual or combined ticket for castle, palm house and the undergrounds. Car parking is not free after the security guard, unless you're visiting the castle hotel. You can park it in the open parking space before the security guard for free. There is an ice cream shop near the castle which is a necessity in hot summers. Not sure if there's any restaurant though. There's a small vertical sprinkler through which you can go to refresh yourself in hot weather. You can visit Viewpoint too, which is a small walk type trek for 15 minutes. There's a fresh corn stick seller, each for 8 PLN. You can bring park stuff (mats, food, play items etc) also for relaxation. There are a lot of gardens and you can sit anywhere. The place is definitely worth a day trip.

The self-paced tour through the castle was incredible! And we went while they had Christmas decorations, so it was even more beautiful. Recommend the underground tour as well - it was interesting and moving.

I enjoyed this place a lot. Very good destination to spend your weekend. Picturesque hiking routes of different difficulty level, underground tunnels of the third reich. I didn't enjoyed a lot the castle interiors, but from the outside it's probably the most beautiful castle I've ever seen. At the moment they have a very interesting photo exebition of the last chef. And nice cafe inside the castle (unfortunately you can visit it only when you are visiting the castle interiors, when we wanted to have a coffee there the next day after excursion, we were told that we should by ticket to the castle)
Liza N — Google review
A self-paced tour of the castle was amazing! I was lucky to visit right before the Christmas decorations were going to be taken down, so it was twice the awe and pleasure.
Everything is so nicely organised, with the cheerful staff meeting you at the ticket desk, and then - second surpise with the Polish museums on this trip - a cloakroom employee kindly offering me a Ukrainian audio guide. Great thanks to the Castle team!
The exhibitions are a wonderful combination of the family history of the castle owners, of the Polish and world history impacting Ksiąz and its residents, and some terrific works of art.
It is also very efficient to have a "smaller tour" and a "broader tour with the family stories", so that you can choose what to listen to, also in terms of time available.
I listen to everything and loved it.
I learned a lot about the underground of Ksiąz and visited the Palm Garden 5-min drive away from the Castle (included in the ticket), with a huge collection of plants.

We Visited Ksiaz Castle in Mid of May, a very enjoyable and memorable trip. It’s really a Beautiful Castle 🏰❤️
As, I am from Pakistan 🇵🇰 we don’t have such Castle so visiting this place for me was exceptional experience. 😊
Wang Church is a 12th-century wooden church that was originally located in Norway and later transported to Karpacz, Poland in the 19th century. The church's architecture resembles Viking longships, adding to its historical and cultural significance. Visitors can also explore the picturesque Karkonosze National Park nearby, known for its rare plant and animal species as well as breathtaking landscapes.
Historical landmark worth visiting, the square holds a few things to look at and the church is worth visiting inside where a tour is given and information about its origin. It is not free and it costs 2 PLN to walk around the square alone or 10 PLN to also enter the church. The tickets can be bought at the shop near the gate entrance.

The best Norse church you can see in Poland! Formerly a church in Norway from early middle ages moved to Karpacz and built again in 19th century. The area is very nice, although packed with tourists and entrance to church is paid. However the adjacent cemetery is really nice and the sights from the hill to the valley and mountains too. A must see when visiting Karpacz.

Very nice old wooden church, originally from 12th century Norway, transplanted to Poland, lovely old details remain, cozy ambiance, comfortable place for quiet reflection. The grounds offer a little bit more to see and ponder, one or two memorials, an old graveyard and an excellent panoramic view. Good visit.
The Sedlec Ossuary is a small Gothic chapel decorated with garlands of human skulls and bones. It is also known as the Roman Catholic Cemetery Church of All Saints with the Ossuary, and it was built in 14th century AD as one of the earliest holy grounds in Central Europe.
While visiting Prague, Czech Republic we took the train to Kutná Hora to explore this unique church. The bones of people have been arranged as decorations and lamps. Piles of skulls are also stored there. #CulturalLandmarks_KutnaHora

Thousands of human bones arranged in intricate patterns, chandeliers made of skulls and dim lightning create a chilling and haunting atmosphere. A humbling reminder of our own mortality. Wanted to visit the place ever since I have seen it on the pictures over 30 years ago.

Small and nice town a bit away from Prague. Better to go with car. Parking is available. Couple of churches and the famous bone museum. Bones are real by the way 😫
Shahriyar Shirinov — Google review
Worth a 1 hour trip on train from Prague. Train was late like 20 min, so pay attention. Once you're in Sedlec it's an easy 15 min walk to the church. Tickets are not sold there, you have to go back about 200m and buy it in info building. The amount of bones and skulls will send chills on your spine.
Alexander Paulavec — Google review
One of a kind place in the world, I must say.
Just amazing. Made out of human bones and skulls, this ossuary is a remarkable place to visit.
Remember, they do not allow photography inside now as stupid people have abused it as some kind of a haunted place on a social media.
You can either visit it first before entering the town or plan it at the end of the trip.
Rushikesh — Google review
The ossuary is a small basement, can be seen in 10 to 15 minutes. Nevertheless, the trip is worth it. The cemetery has a lot of interesting information too, and the Mary’s Ascension Cathedral is very close. Good visit spot.

The big attraction in Kutna Hora. Interesting church with bones inside. We purchased our tickets in advance but there is a ticket office down the street from the church. We took the train from Prague and a short bus ride to the church.
Michael Mack — Google review
We went to the bone church in Kutna Hora many years ago and wanted to show our kids. Very interesting to see all the human bones. No photography allowed inside anymore....
Carel van Niekerk — Google review
Had to buy the tickets at the info centrum 150 meters away. We weren't allowed to take pictures in the chapel. I was able to take pictures upstairs tho. But besides that I recommend visiting, it is beautiful and scary at the same time.
Lovana — Google review
This is worth the trip from Prague. Very easy to get to by train! Make sure you buy your tickets from the information centre before heading up to the church as they don’t sell tickets at the church.
Although the church is full of bones it is not “creepy” in anyway but instead quite spiritual. There is no photography allowed.
There are guides you can hire from the town to give you a tour however the audio guide you can get inside the church along with the pamphlet is all you really need!
There are souvenirs at both the I go centre and in the church at reasonable prices and helps keep the church “alive” as they get no other funding!
The lady at the info center is super helpful!

I came to this country just to see this and was more Amazing then I expect, wonderful and unbelievable art… I’ll be back when they fish the restoration but still it’s almos 90% done and it’s look awesome 👏🏼
Andres Infantas (King Fuego) — Google review
My first recommendation is to buy a digital combination ticket online before you travel. The ticket is valid for up to a year, so you don't have to pick a date. They don't sell tickets at the ossuary, so if you have a digital ticket with you, you can just scan and go and don't have to make your way to the visitor centre 150 meters away.
If you like ossuaries, you'll love this one. It's definitely macabre, but so beautiful! Bones and skulls have been arranged into intricate sculptures and decorations, it's stunning to look at!
It's a rather small church, but if this kind of thing interests you, you'll have plenty to look at. It's currently under renovation, so parts of the church are blocked off with scaffolding and tarps, but it's still a stunning place to visit.
Very close to other sights in Kutna Hora, so absolutely worth the trip down.

This small place is an exciting place to visit in a small town an hour and a half away from Prague. Honestly, the ticket price is a bit pricey while students' price for a Prague Castle circus ticket is only CZK 120.

Fascinating and beautiful place. No photos are allowed inside but there is a small gift shop which sells a couple of postcards with images from inside the chapel.
Rebecca Gallagher — Google review
You are not allowed to take pictures inside. You have to buy entrance tickets either online, or around the corner from up the street there is a store that sells entry tickets. A standard ticket gets you entry into sedlec ossuary and a church around the corner from where you buy entrance tickets from. Highly recommend going to that church as well.. the paintings are stunning.

Really interesting small place (no photos allowed, my are taken from outside and church)

This place has its own unique way to show you the darkness. I did remove one star, for the considerably over priced ticket for this small place. I removed another one, the place was even smaller due to construction, the cost is covered from the tickets currently sold. Additionally, a very short version of history is shared for the visitor.
Alexandros — Google review
I've visited twice over the past year and it's an impressive sight and quite a unique place. Note that taking photos is no longer allowed.
The place is under renovation as they are cleaning/restoring some of the bone piles and there are support ls to keep the church safe.
In the season it can be really busy as busses full of tourists can be dropped in regular intervals. Buying the ticket online makes it easier to get it, and not wait at the ticket office, which is down the street.
Bart Planting — Google review
Not worth the admission. The actual place is very small and lacked information. Can finish the visit in 5 minutes but takes over an hour to get here from Prague.
Also, photos are prohibited but no one enforces it. Just don't be obvious.
St Barbara's Cathedral, located in the Sedlec district of Kutna Hora, is a remarkable example of Gothic architecture. The cathedral is adorned with spiky spires, flying buttresses, and frescoes that add to its grandeur. It was constructed in 1388 and boasts five naves but was not completed until the early twentieth century due to construction delays caused by the declining productivity of the town's silver mines.
I love visiting churches when there are no priests and no preaching etc. This one is amazing!! Especially on a sunny afternoon ♡ From my whole trip to Kutna Hora, this was the highlight.

The cathedral was worth seeing although I think some of the comments about it being the most beautiful are not my opinion.
There are a lots of beautiful areas and you can climb the stairs to the top. There are some nice views and it’s interesting to see the irfan from the back - not what I would have pictured!
The grounds are nice to walk around or sit and have lunch.

Magnificent.
Feel so ancient yet strong holiness around.
It is amusing that the history of this great cathedral was from the working class, not the royal family! In this case was the mining worker in Kutná Hora centuries ago.
The interior was well kept with some fault to show how ancient it was.
It will be cheaper if you buy the ticket in a bundle with the Sedlec cathedral+kotsnice.

No dogs allowed.
Inside is spectacular and you can also follow steps in the corner to go upstairs and look down from above and also out to the front balcony which also give a beautiful view.

So much wealth and power was centered in Czechia for centuries. The silver mines provided the kings of centuries past vast resources and the money and effort devoted to their religion is amazing. The cathedral rivals all major cathedrals in the world for scale, beauty, and wealth.

The Old Town Square in Prague is a historic plaza that features many noteworthy Gothic and Baroque buildings. The square is a popular destination for tourists and locals, who come to admire the scenery and historical landmarks. The plaza also features a statue of Jan Hus, a religious reformer who was martyred in the 1500s.
An awesome place, that's for sure. One cozld spend hours there and still discover more and more details that are amazing. The buildings are beautiful and there are guides all around. There are a few food stands as well with Czech specialties for decent prices. It can get a little crowded every now and then, but most groups just rush on by and leave the place open and quiet after a few minutes. It was very clean, as well.

This was my favorite place to be in Prague, whether in the daytime or at night. It is full of energy and beauty. I went up in the Town Hall Tower (without a guide) and it was 300 CZK so about $13.50 and totally worth it. Next time I would go with a tour which happens every 2 hours because they take you underground. Lots of shops and restaurants and the Clock Tower is beautiful!

The town square is aesthetically pleasing. It is advisable to visit during the spring or autumn seasons to avoid large crowds. I spent four days there, which was insufficient time to fully experience all that the city has to offer. 😄 The city is exceptionally beautiful! 😍

Very beautiful Old Town Square, a church with two towers, as if materialized from a fairy-tale world. A huge monument, where people each with their own facial expressions, the sculptor managed to convey the character of each image, the sculptures came to life for a moment ... And these inscriptions around the perimeter of the monument, parting words to descendants, take it to the soul .... Yes, this square is so mesmerizing, which takes you back to the Middle Ages. It is very cool!

I recently visited Prague and was able to stay just off of Old Town Square and the views are absolutely beautiful! You can visit the statue of John Huss, the town hall, various restaurants, and some little shops scattered around the square. At night, there were carriage rides and live music, and the lit up buildings were completely breathtaking. If I am ever in Prague again, I definitely want to stay in the same area!

At a walking distance from Charles bridge. Such a lively place with so many restaurants and small food places. The place is always crowded. Don’t miss to checkout the astronomical clock. When got to see it at 5 o’clock where the skeleton rings a bell.

Cool place to sit and chill on one of the benches at the middle of the square!
It’s super close to a lot of sights worth seeing and it has a lot of restaurants and cafes around.
The only downside is the prices you pay in the restaurants around the square - if you walk 300 meters from it (not toward the bridge) it will get alot cheaper.

I love visiting in the early morning when there is no crowd. Gives a nice contrast to the masses at night. The Christmas tree is enormous and beautiful. Absolute favourite part are the buildings around. Shops are too touristic for my taste, not very authentic.

It’s a must to visit, especially during the holiday season when here is Christmas Market. Very nice decorations, lots of food, souvenirs, etc. Decent prices for foods. Mostly paying by cash only. It can be a little crowded during the evening but the area is quite big. Try the mulled wine and the wursts. Delicious. The Christmas tree is enormous and beautiful decorated. Also, the astronomical clock is a must see in this square.

Go in the morning! Not even super early. Get there at 8:30-9 am and you'll still find the place deserted because all the tourist attractions open at 9:30.
2 hours later, you'll find it difficult to walk without elbowing someone.
Definitely get a ticket to visit the town hall. You can climb up for a beautiful view of the city.

Old Town Square is a landmark in Prague. On the square is a 12th-century building, White Horse. If you enjoy dining in a place with a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food, this restaurant is a must! You should eat downstairs to get the full effect of this restaurant. I had the goulash in the bread bowl, which was phenomenal! My husband had the spicy sausage. He loved it! There was live music on Friday night, which we really enjoyed! This is a place you must visit when in Prague!

This gorgeous, fun area is filled with restaurants, shops, and historic sites. If you visit the Old Town Hall be sure to watch the clock at 10 a.m. You will see the skeleton ring his bell to start the 12 disciples making their way past the windows. Purchase tickets to go to the top of the tower. The views of Prague are a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Don't miss the Illusion Museum and the Gallery of Steel Figures. Both are outstanding places to visit! And be sure to sample a chimney cake from one of the vendors. Old Town Prague might be the best area I've ever visited in many years of travel.

Old Town Square in Prague, Czech Republic, is the absolute best. It's feels as though you've stwp back in time. The magnificent building leaves you in awe. I looked up the whole time in Prague. I was told several movies are filmed in Prague because it resembles Paris. Paris wishes it was this beautiful. In the Old Town Prague, we rented scooters and drove around the cobbled streets. There was a bike lane that really helped.
We stopped and had a lovely dinner on multiple nights and ice cream in the streets. Old Town feels like fairytale meets Games of Thorns. It was quite expensive to eat in the tourist areas. In fact the prices were more expensive than the USA.

We visited for the Christmas Markets and we were not disappointed. A beautiful square with so many stunning buildings, including churches & monuments. The Christmas stalls were mainly selling delicious smelling food & drink but also lots selling Christmas gifts & novelties. The smell of cinnamon was lovely & the mulled wine.
The centre piece was a huge tree decorated with baubles and lights.
We visited firstly during the day and loved it but we returned the following day in the evening and it was spectacular the lights were amazing (the tree is switched on fully every evening) the whole square had a different feel to it so alive & vibrant. The food smelled even better & we succumbed to a hot dog each which was delicious plus my husband tried the old Prague ham.
There was music & lights and it felt so festive it was very heartwarming to experience it.
You can even go on a horse drawn carriage ride
A lot busier than daytime as there were people everywhere but everyone was in good spirits.

Beautiful experience with my family. If you are in Prague it is a must to come see this historical square. Personally the vendors and the souvenirs are lacking compared to what else is around the city. There are some awesome restaurants and coffee shops short walks away.
But being such an iconic square makes it worth the effort of being there.
The Staroměstská radnice (Old Town Hall) is a 14th-century old town hall that is renowned for its observatory tower and intricate astronomical clock. The structure was damaged during the Prague Uprising of 1945, but was eventually rebuilt in a more simplified style. Today, it is one of the most prominent landmarks in Old Town Square. You can tour the tower and the underground areas, as well as the city council chambers.
The Old Town hall
Look on the web for the exhibition whether is open for public the old town hall. Time to time they taken visitors inside into the old Town hall for a large tour. On the door just next to the astronomical clock is the entry and sometimes also on the door is information when they do the tour which is really worthy to take. It is quiet long tour about 2 hours and they are take you up to the tower of the old Town hall and also two level down into the historical basement. There is also historical artefacts and overall very interesting tour o with historical guidance about the old Town hall and also information provided relate to the Prague history of the town.

You can go up the tower and get views of the whole city from the center. You can also see the inside of the clock where the figures spin in a circle and go out the window that's being shown outside.
There's also some really nice free bathrooms on the ground floor.

Almost missed it, as the entrance is on the left of the Astronomical Clock. The Old Town Hall is impressive by itself, but it also gives access to see the saints behind the Astronomical Clock (the ones that pop out every hour) and you also get to go up the tower and have a panoramic view of the city. The ticket is not individual and you must buy the visit for the entire building to get to go up the tower.

Beautiful design of the clock, make sure to go inside the building , and clock chimes every 5 minute before an hour . if you're inside you can watch the characters taking their turn to move . It does cost some money and a pamphlet is recommended so you know what is going on in each room for its history . Make sure to visit the tower as you get a good view of the town square even prague itself

Visited the town hall / astronomical clock in a recent visit to Prague. We pre-booked tickets online and needed to exchange the online code for paper tickets at the desk prior to entry. I believe this would be useful in the summer but it was quiet enough in early February to not worry. The best part is the top of the tower which gives a great view over the main square, there are lots of steps so keep this in mind before you go. There are lifts you can pay for but they only take you some of the way.

Tip: 50% off tickets before 10am!
Great view but also incredibly beautiful inside. You can see the apostels that turn every hour from the inside.
Specially designed, unique elevator.

At first an important notice about tickets: if you buy a combined ticket for both old town hall and the tower entrance on the first floor, it costs CZK 480 for a family ticket. If you buy solely tower entrance, it will set you back CZK 600 for a family. So I recommend buying tickets on the first floor.
The old town hall is very impressive from the outside. The tower is very tall. In the inside in the “museum” there’s not much to see but it’s still worth going there. The view from the tower is astonishing. Absolutely loved it. If you’re around, it’s certainly worth it to go there and climb the tower, you won’t regret it.

I loved climbing up the stairs of the building and the tower seeing all the amazing paintings and interims design. And the view from the top was beautiful! If you’re in Prague you definitely have to check this out. A little pricey, but at least that means it doesn’t get too swamped.

Must-see tour of old Prague town hall but requires planning
The Old Town Hall tours (~$25/adult) offer a behind-the-scenes look at the Astronomical Clock and a glimpse into the medieval Czech high-society homes that later became this historic attraction. The guided tours, grouped by language, occur on a couple hour cadence and are usually quickly booked out. The guides are super knowledgeable and the guided tours also feature access to the dungeons / cellars, which were on the original street level of Prague!
The clock tower observation deck is a great vantage point to see the Old Town Square and the rest of Prague. There is a lift ($5 round trip) but the ramps to walk upstairs aren’t strenuous and easily accessible.

Beautiful tower, being able to take a journey to the top was fantastic.

It may be worth paying the little bit extra to be able to use the lift to the very top, as it is a fair walk up, accessible however the lift may be better

A lovely clock from the outside, but I would definitely recommend buying tickets for the tour inside and to go up the tower: the view is gorgeous. The tour includes access to view the mechanism inside of the clock as well as the underground rooms beneath the town hall and is well worth the money. When ascending the tower you can pay extra to take the lift, but I wouldn't bother as there is a spiral ramp as opposed to stairs which isn't particularly challenging or lengthy to climb. You can buy tickets on the third floor but may need to come back another day for your tour, as they book up quite quickly.

Super interesting guided tour of all the chambers and the underground of the Old Town Hall. We purchased the guided tour ticket, which consists of a general explanation of chambers, clock, paintings, and underground prison. The ticket did not include the lift to the top of the tower however, so we'd recommend purchasing that if you don't want to go to the top through the curly and narrow stairs (my mum felt a bit claustrophobic so we wish we had purchased that too!). Karolina, the tour guide, was great at explaining and keeping us entertained with fun facts throughout the whole tour. We learnt a lot about how the building was designed and how it changed throughout time, the hussites and the Moravian and Bohemian empires, and the gothic style of the time. Would strongly recommend going!
Giorgia Dimiccoli — Google review
Worth popping in and ascending to the top of the clock tower for the views. You can pay extra for the lift, but alternatively you can take the lifts to level 4, before taking a ramp for a few floors, followed by a spiral stairs case. Takes about 5-10min to get up to the top.
You can also see the figurines from the atronomical clock from behind on level 1 and if you time your visit, then you can see them moving.

Absolutely good looking, many will agree the most beautiful old fashion bridge ever. Every single sculpture, statutes on the bridge are individual piece of art. When near sunset, the rivers with some boats, pigeons, view is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately the crowd is insane, rough estimate there are thousands of tourist on the bridge at the same time ALL the day time.

I loved being able to walk across the bridge! There were so many great views of Prague, and the bridge was full of local artists and musicians showcasing their work. They are in the process of revitalizing the statues, which was incredible to see when comparing the older ones to the newer ones. Like the rest of the city, my only regret was not being able to spend more time exploring! If I am ever able to return to Prague, I plan to return ❤️

The view of the river and city from the bridge is amazing, but too many small shops make it a little crowded, street musicians add to the charm, but these small shops selling souvenirs just occupy space. Maybe they should reduce the numbers or not allow them in the centre part of the bridge. I know they are trying to make a living but the bridge isn't that wide.

Like the old town square, this is a bit of a “must visit” when in Prague. Read up on the history of the bridge a little bit before going to walk over it and you’ll understand a bit more of it’s significance. Not too many days of the year when it is not packed full of tourists, but it is still worth a crossing. Nice to see the artists and other local hands selling their wares here still. I crossed this bridge first time back in 2008 and it’s still got it! Be sure to stop and take in the views of the gates and the river as it is easy to get swept up in the wandering crowds.

A beautiful pedestrian bridge that deserves it's reputation. Good for sunsets, bad for midnight as the lights go off, best for mornings before the crowds gather. And there's almost always a crowd. A bit too expensive a visit to the towers in my views but I understand - there's enough people to pay the price, so why not. The view is worth it I guess. The short movie you can see in the basement is totally not worth it and a waste of time, unless you're there with kids.

With its cobblestone path and breathtaking views of the Vltava River, feels like a timeless link between the past and the present.
Whether you're a history buff, a romantic soul, or simply a traveler in search of beauty, Charles Bridge is a must-visit.
Crowds are inevitable, especially during peak tourist hours, but the lively energy adds to the experience. To avoid the hustle and bustle, consider visiting during the quieter hours, allowing for a more intimate connection with the bridge and its surroundings.

Beautiful and the history is great but it is filled with tourists which makes it difficult to enjoy fully and take nice pictures. Best would be to go very early morning and beat the crowds. Evenings are also extremely busy in Prague.
We also went to Legion bridge instead and took pictures of Charles Bridge as it gives you a beautiful view which is not as crowded

One the unique spot in Prague and I recommend you to visit during evening because It is less tourist there and less silence. Fully recommended for all types of visitors. Monuments are gorgeous and around have lots of cafes, restaurants etc. Must visit place.

Visited Charles Bridge in Prague and was captivated by its historic charm. The iconic statues, breathtaking views of the Vltava River, and the lively atmosphere made it a memorable experience. A must-visit for anyone exploring Prague's rich history and architecture. You will find a lot of artists on the bridge. It's really an amazing experience walking through the bridge, and the nice music is being played in the background.
Prague Castle is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Prague. The complex has buildings from Roman-style to Gothic and 20th century. The castle is located in the Hradcany neighborhood.
I recommend going early in the morning (before 8am) or in the evening (after 5pm). During these hours, the crowd is usually low, and you can enjoy and absorb more of the castle's beauty. I definitely recommend to go to the top of the lookout tower, as it provides a spectacular view of the entire city.

Beautiful church inside the castle grounds. Need about 1.5hr to 3hrs depending on your speed. Ticket are bought at information booth. Nice place to wander around outside if you don't want to go inside. Lovely park ground and architecture. Worth visiting twice if your feet feeling okay.

An incredible place with incredible buildings and less likely views of the city. A must visit this place, a place of strength. Very beautiful, very diverse. Advice, do not go up by car, small streets, very difficult to separate, better to walk. Especially when you go up and down each building will be very beautiful and unique.

Prague Castle is definitely a place to go if you are visiting Prague. There is so much interesting history and the architecture is magnificent.
I’d recommend going to the visitors point and getting an audio guide as you walk around, as this makes the experience much more extensive.
Entrance to the castle was free, which is great. There were various exhibitions on, such as a picture gallery, which you could visit with a cost.
There was a nice cafe in the castle gardens to have a refreshing drink.

The entrance to the castle and parks are free. We got tickets to enter 5 buildings. Experience was very nice. My favorite part was Artistic Street, where artists sell handmade things. The medieval room upstairs was amazing. Great experience

Lovely climb up the main road side with shops and cafes on a cobbled street. Very busy at the top but lots of space to move around. Great photo opportunities of the castle and the view out over the city.

Definitely worth a walk up a hill 😊. Another one of those place that is much better out of the season of early in the day to avoid crowds. Exceptional architectural marvel the provides a “ old world “ almost fairytale like feel to the place . Also very nice view points, worth exploring, around the castle overlooking the city of Prague. Only downsides are that you have to pay extra to gain access to some parts of the complex.

The church inside the castle is really amazing. Just make sure you wear comfortable shoes and try to avoid the busy time. We went there around lunch time, a lot of tourist groups and the restaurant is a little bit full as well. It will be better to come later, so you can enjoy a nice sunset view while having a nice coffee on the rooftop.

A very large castle complex comprises multiple towers and buildings. Great way to spend an entire day learning about the history of the city. If you climb the tall South Tower, you will arrive at probably the best observation deck in Prague. There was also a building that serves as a museum. Don’t forget to take a stroll down the Golden Lane before leaving!

Prague Castle is located on a tall hill and has a view of the city below. It's like its own small town. I took many pictures here, and when I showed them to my friends, they thought the pictures didn't look like they were taken in real life. People are going to claim that it is edited. The most important advice I can give about anything related to Prague Castle is to plan to spend two separate half days there. I am saying this because there will be a lot of people in the mornings, but you can use your tickets for two days. If you go in the afternoon, you can visit three or four places before they close. You can come back the next day to finish your tour. That is the most optimal way to visit this attraction. The area is very spacious, and there are buildings all around. You may not be able to enter all of them, but the ones that are open and listed on your ticket are worth visiting. Definitely worth checking out and definitely worth the effort to go up.

This place is unreal!!!!! It is hard to believe that places like this still exist. This whole city is actually unreal. This is definitely a place that everyone (if you have a chance) should visit at least once in their life time. There are so many places to see and to visit within the city.
In the castle make sure that you visit the gardens as well. If you want an even better experience, go there late at night when there is barely anyone there and the lights make it turn into a n even more magical place.
Juan Pablo Naranjo — Google review
Most of the palace is actually a free to walk around area. You need to pay if you want to visit the museum parts or a small street, or the toilet. The signs are very distinguishable so you need not worry. The front yard of the castle has a narrow garden with a great view towards Charles Bridge. Exploring the small streets to get to the castle was in my opinion just as nice, so take your time and walk around.

Historic castle complex also housing the St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague castle is a must-see
I’d recommend taking a bus / transport up to the entrance as the hill it’s situated on can be a steep climb. While it’s a large complex with different museums / buildings to explore - I’d recommend walking the courtyards and visit guess interior of St. Vitus cathedral as the highlights

Stunning location with views over the city. The castle holds a beautiful cathedral in the courtyard. You have to get tickets to go into the cathedral and other parts of the castle and the queue was long so I didn't go in. Book tickets in advance if you want to see it all.

You simply must walk here through the palace gardens beginning almost a kilometer east of the palace, poised high above the city and the river. The views through the majestic trees and in and amongst the flowers, particularly in springtime, are simply regal. I have yet to sample the splendors of the interior of the castle itself but am already enchanted by what I’ve experienced on my first two visits to and through the outer walls and buildings of the castle.

Beautiful ancient castle with great architecture. You can hire a local guide if you are interested to know about the historical background. Also, there are many free tour guides in Prague whom you can book online. The Prague Castle circuit ticket also allows you to visit the Charles Bridge Museum free of charge. However, All visitors are not allowed to bring large baggage and there is a security checkpoint at the entrance.

Absolutely amazing venue. Superior views across Prague. I was very impressed with the food service. I was lucky enough to be invited to a special dinner. I was particularly impressed that the staff were so attentive that before my drink had finished I was presented with a drink and they remembered what I was drinking. Absolutely phenomenal. The main lady running the service was a pleasure speaking with and clearly understood how to make guests feel special. Very impressive, it's rare that I am blown away. The venue is fantastic, the balcony for drinks reception is amazing. The food was truly amazing, and the service was spectacular.

The castle looks spectacular from outside, but ordinary in the inside, we are not impressed too much. The tower offers bird eye view of Prague, but climb 275 steps pose a challenge we conquered. To summarize, after several days in Prague, we found most of the churches inside looks much the same, so we recommend you choose the free ones such as church of our lady before Tyn, for the others, we really don’t think buy the ticket is a must, take a picture from outside and visit public areas will do.

I loved Prague Castle. It is so ancient, with so much history and it has been maintained in excellent shape. It is the highlight of Prague and one of the best castles I have ever been to. Take a taxi or transit to start at the west end of the castle and then walk downwards towards downtown. Much easier.

The castle looks impressive from down below. To get up you have to climb a lot of stairs! Not recommend if it’s a hot summer day. At the top you find a overprices starbucks and the museum shop. There is no way to fill up your water bottle as there is no fountain This was really disappointing. But the castle is beautiful. The tickets are fairly prices considering you can visit different buildings. The view from the top is also great.

A lovely place to visit.
The road to the place itself is beautiful and full of amazing scenery while you go up.
Make sure to get comfy as there are a lot of stairs until you reach the cathedral itself.
As you go up, you have food and drinks option all around , as well as old town part right nearby(5 min walk).
The place is very crowded so make sure to follow rush hours and visit when its most suitable for you.
Make sure not to miss this one!

Spectacular and well worth the walk over the river and up the hill. Such an incredible and rich history - and apparently the largest ancient castle in the world. As an added bonus, access to most things was free when we visited on Christmas Eve.

Definitely worth a walk all the way and visiting the Castle grounds and gardens. Whether buying a ticket to enter the various rooms and halls/museums is worth it or not, will leave the decision to you. The St Vitus cathedral definitely worth seeing.

What a terrific experience. We visited the castle through one of the Free Tour web sites who helped us take a tram to the top so we could enter from a less crowded entrance. The whole place is stunning. Building after building is immaculate and the varied architecture is fascinating. Our guide pointed out the different styles and in one square you can see 4 or 5 different eras of architecture. I think I took over 400 pictures in the 45 minutes we were there and felt I barely scratched the surface. Definitely a must see!!

Cool place. You have to buy the general ticket to see inside of the churches and also the golden lane. We didn’t do that because I guess other than golden lane, the exterior of the buildings is more interesting than the interior. Also every hour you can see the soldiers doing their changing ceremony in one of the gates that opens up to the square. Overall it was worth going.
The St. Vitus Cathedral is a beautiful Gothic cathedral located within the grounds of Prague Castle in the Czech Republic. Constructed over a period of 525 years, it features a mix of Neo-Gothic and 14th-century Gothic styles as well as Baroque and Renaissance influences. The building is especially renowned for its impressive spire which stretches skywards into the heavens.
St. Vitus Cathedral is in my opinion one of the most gorgeous Cathedral around the world. Hardly to find a word to describe the impression I always have when enter into this Cathedral which is huge inside and that you can walk half hour there or spend an hour there. This means I recommend to purchase ticket get in. Not only visit the Cathedral from the entry hall of the Cathedral, but take a walk and gain most of this beautiful Cathedral which is also nice to see outside. This Cathedral is large and siting in the Prague Castle Court rooms, and because the size of Cathedral is cross all patios of the Prague Castle. Particularly from courtroom three (patio 3) is nice view same as from the High from the Great south tower.

This cathedral is breathtaking. Situated on top of a hill, you need to put some effort to arrive here but it is totally worth. Impressive from outside and inside , you can take some time to admire its beauty from the benches inside the yard behind it. In case you want to get in, you can do it for free, but only in a limited area. A ticket is required if you want to explore it all.

Impressive place with a long and rich history, the cathedral made a lasting impression on me. Worth every cent spent on entrance fees. The grandeur, the stained-glass windows, the chapels, the stories. Lighting a candle, inviting in good energies and peace upon our beloved ones, family and friends rounded up the visit.
If you ever visit Prague and its majestic castle, you definitely have to take the tour of the cathedral as well.

St. Vitus Cathedral is an awe-inspiring masterpiece of Gothic architecture nestled within the historic grounds of Prague Castle. From its towering spires to its intricate stained glass windows, every detail of this sacred site is a testament to centuries of craftsmanship and devotion.
Stepping inside, visitors are immediately struck by the grandeur of the interior, with its soaring vaulted ceilings and majestic columns. The play of light through the stained glass creates a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of colors, bathing the space in an ethereal glow.
Exploring the cathedral, one encounters a wealth of artistic treasures, from the stunning mosaic of the Last Judgment to the ornate tomb of St. John of Nepomuk. Each chapel and alcove tells a story, inviting contemplation and reverence.
Climbing the winding staircase to the top of the cathedral rewards visitors with panoramic views of Prague's skyline, offering a breathtaking perspective on the city's beauty and history. To prepare yourself and dress well for this!

What an amazing cathedral! The view from up the hill over the city of Prague is superb! The cathedral is well maintained and the offer of tours is more then plenty.
The inside of the cathedral looks amazing! I absolutely love these structures. To bad you can not walk around the whole sub level of the cathedral without buying an extra ticket for that.
The square next to the cathedral, offers some nice spots to take a rest and enjoy the ambiance of the place.
Definitely worth the walk up there from the old town city center.

Impressive. The scale of the cathedral is daunting (makes you feel tiny) and the stained glasses are very colorful and lovely. Make sure to get the combo ticket (that includes objective "VIII" - the cathedral) in order to be able to get in all the way back and not just at the entrance. It is wonderfully decorated in the back.
Also, get the tower ticket (entrance to objective "X" - cathedral tower) to climb the 278 steps up in a dizzying spiral staircase (with no pit stop and used for both climbing up and down the same way). It sounds horror, but you eventually make it and it's definitely worth it. The view from up the tower is a worthy reward.

Beautiful cathedral with some of the most intricate art I’ve seen. The stained glass paintings and suspended statues in the church are incredible. The gothic architecture is worth seeing. The grounds of the palace open at 6am but you can only enter the cathedral starting at 9am. I’d recommend going early to beat the crowds.
There are bathrooms here but you need coins to use them. There is a machine near the ticket counter that lets you exchange notes for coins.

Surely one of the best Cathedrals I've ever seen.
Immense, impressive, huge.
The Gothic style that characterizes the building is truly amazing and the interiors are even better. Loved the rose windows and the pinnacles.
Take your time to properly visit the Cathedral in all its entirety because it's really worthwhile.

The most beautiful place in Prague. The Cathedral is the first thing you see when you visit the Prague Castle. Make sure you buy tickets online. They have the tickets at visitor centre but you can skip the wait if booked online. Most of the places to visit are covered in that ticket. A must must visit when in Prague. It’s a fascinating Renaissance- Baroque Architecture marvel.!

Breathtaking stained glass that makes the room colorful. Beautiful tombs to some of the worlds most famous and prosperous religious figures and saints, decorated with silver and gold.
HOWEVER, there is very little information to be read about the attractions within. There is a paragraph of information for every 3-5 attractions which leaves you wondering about the significance behind a lot.
Even without a ticket you can roam around the entrance of the church, but won’t have access to around 70% of it, which mostly includes the main attractions within the church itself. Make sure to get the family pass if you can for your group, as you will save good money. Don’t purchase the ticket entrance just to go visit the church, as it is a relatively high ask and not worth it on its own, instead use it to gain entrance into the other attractions nearby.
Please feel free to look at the images I attached! I hope you enjoy!

The Cathedral sits in the centre of the Castle complex and is visible from all around the area. Very beautiful outside and inside. You can enter the cathedral for free, but there is a large area accessible only by ticket. There is a separate ticket for entry to the cathedral tower. Both are worth visiting. From the tower you can have a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Keep in mind to reach the top of the tower you need to go up 287 steps. It can be a bit claustrophobic.

It's an incredibly beautiful building. You can feel the energy inside, it's true there are a lot of tourists. The vintage windows give a beautiful light inside, although half of this building is fake as most of it has been destroyed. I advise you to definitely visit.

Truly a “can’t miss” sight in Prague; the steps up to the tower are not too steep, few resting places, though. The view from the tower is completely worth it, and it is fairly spacious. Benches on the top inside, next to the clock mechanism. Separate charge to climb up.

A magnificent historical landmark, the cathedral and its surroundings need 3-4 hours to explore fully. We observed guard change ceremonies, purchased souvenirs, and found numerous cafes and restaurants for brunch. While entry to the cathedral grounds is free, accessing the interior requires a ticket. Due to the lengthy queue, exceeding 30 minutes, we opted to forego entry. Nonetheless, the premises were impeccably clean, ideal for capturing memorable photographs.

Absolutely worth the lines and ticket cost to get inside for self guided tour. They had a ticket that got you access to 5 different cites and a map to guide you.
The cathedral had the most breathtaking stained glass I’ve ever seen. You must go inside and see it all. Stunning.
The audio tour devices were sold out for the day so go early if you’d like to do that. You buy tickets just across the square from the front doors.

The queue to get into the Cathedral is huge but don't let that put you off as it moves very quickly. Inside it is fascinating and educational, this was an enjoyable way to spend half an hour or so. At the side of the Cathedral is another entrance where you pay to go to the top of the lookout tower which for me was the best.

Karlštejn Castle is a beautiful Gothic castle in the countryside southwest of Prague. It is home to many royal treasures, including paintings and portraits of the emperor and his family. There are regular tours available, which are recommended if you want to see this magnificent building up close.
Excellent bathrooms and cafe up at the castle. Also were street vendors in the courtyard serving food and beer. Not a bad wake in that environment at all! Great view of the city or rather town below. The tour of the castle itself was engaging and interesting. Just about the right length of time.

Located about 30 kilometers southwest of Prague, Karlštejn Castle started life in 1348 and has since risen in the ranks to one of the best castles in the Czech Republic.
Karlštejn Castle was founded by the Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor as his private residence and a place of safekeeping royal treasures, especially his collections of holy relics and the Imperial Crown Jewels. In 1355 Charles IV stayed here for the first time, overseeing the construction and decoration work, especially in chapels. The construction was completed in 1365 when the Chapel of the Holy Cross in the Great Tower was consecrated.
The Chapel of the Holy Cross was the place of safekeeping the imperial crown jewels until 1420 when the Hussite wars (religious civil war) began, and they had not ever returned to Karlštejn Castle. After the wars in 1436, the Bohemian crown jewels were taken to the Chapel of the Holy Cross where they remained till 1619.
The castle was a representative residence of Charles IV and his son Wenceslas IV only, i.e. till 1419. As a fortress, Karlštejn Castle protected the crown jewels, holy relics, and royal archives till the 17th century.
After 1480 the castle was rebuilt in the late Gothic style, in the last quarter of the 16th century in the Renaissance style. During the last reconstruction that took place at the end of the 19th century (by architect Josef Mocker) in the spirit of purism, the castle gained its present appearance.
The preserved original stair-arrangement of individual castle buildings is very impressive. The lower section with a small courtyard by the Well Tower and the Burgrave´s House continue through the majestic five-storey Imperial Palace and the Marian Tower. At the highest point, the construction of the castle culminates in a monumental, 60-meter-high Great Tower and its massive fortifications.
An unique original 14th-century wall decoration, a set of 129 paintings created by Master Theodoric in the Chapel of the Holy Cross (the largest in the world), the largest portrait gallery of kings of Bohemia in the Czech Republic, a replica of the royal Crown of Bohemia, a unique castle well. The castle is also famous as a set to a comedy play Night at Karlštejn Castle by Czech poet Jaroslav Vrchlický.
After centuries of lying in near ruin, much needed restorative work has restored the Gothic castle to all its former glory, making it an immensely popular destination. The bustling tourist crowds are a stark contrast to the peaceful surrounding countryside which offers views of Karlstejn’s stunning exterior.
From November, 01st, 2021 to March, 31st, 2022 the castle is closed to the public, including the garden.

Great day trip just 30 minute train ride from Prague. The mandatory guided tours are informative and full of neat information. During winter months, the main part is closed off for preservation, so best to visit after May. We still enjoyed our time at the castle and in town, despite not being able to see everything.

Beautiful bohemian castle not far outside of Prague. My guide said many consider it to be the most beautiful in the whole country. However, I visited in April and a portion of the castle (including the chapel) was closed to the public. Also, the village that the castle is located in is seasonal, as there were no stores or restaurants open in the town on a Tuesday afternoon! I would recommend visiting between May-October.

Such a beautiful stop, this could be a quick adventure throughout your visit , it literally takes less than an hour to get here from the main train station and like 20 min walk from the train stop to the castle , the tours are 300 czk for the most basic one , and there are a lot of shops and restaurants that are along the way.

Impressive views, of and from the castle.
It's a nice good really up the hill, through the small village at the foot of the castle.
Many pitstop temptations before getting to the castle itself, I suggest considering a restaurant stop when coming back from the castle.
The tours are organized in Czech and in English.
Although there was a partial reconstruction in the courtyard that didn't impact the overall feeling of the place, its history and beauty.

Karlstejn Castle may not have a lot of history to back it up, considering it was constructed in less than 10 years and served as a storage for crowns and jewels rather than an official residence, but it's worth a day trip from Prague. If you don't drive a car, I recommend taking a one-way cab (Uber / Bolt) from Prague to the castle, after which you would only need to walk up to 5 minutes to the entrance where the tours begin. It's convenient and saves you the uphill climb. While going back, there are of course no cabs available so you'd need to take the train. The train station is a 30 minute walk from the entrance of the castle, right on the other side of the river, and the train itself takes only 45 minutes to get you to the Prague city center. It's quite convenient.
Second, I also recommend buying tour tickets in advance on their website, after which you only need to wait at the meeting point and do not have to queue up for tickets (note that you cannot enter the castle without a guided tour.) There are three types of tours available - I booked number 3 (View from the Great Tower), which is a short, 30 minute guided walk up to the fourth floor of the tour, and then you get 15 minutes to take pictures from the tower. Note that the tower is an enclosed space and the pictures are taken through windows, so you cannot take a picture of yourself with the castle from up the tower. This tour involved climbing some stairs but it wasn't too much.
There are also some areas you can explore on your own after the tour ends - the Clock Tower and the Well Tower are notable ones. I highly recommend the Well Tower, another 2 minute walk from the entrance, which has splendid views of the entire castle and is the best point to take a picture of yourself with the castle background! The well itself is also quite deep, and I also recommend a small souvenir shop by it, really cute hangings, bells, and fridge magnets available there.
The first few pictures I've added are from the Great Tower guided tour, and the last one is from the Well Tower. :)

Kristyna was our guide and she was absolutely delightful. We went on the Czech Tour (for time's sake) and she figured out pretty quickly that we didn't understand Czech, so when we stopped at different spots on the tour she would then speak English for us.
We were very appreciative especially since we knew she didn't have to do that.
Wonderful castle. Bring Czech crowns though. Most things in the little town on the way only take cash.

There's nothing to see inside the castle!!! Total disappointment. The castle is just beautiful from the outside.... The excursion is about 30 minutes or so. I couldn't believe that people pay money for that. It is forbidden to take pictures inside but actually there's nothing to photograph :( It is much more exciting to go around the castle and take pictures and read the history in Wikipedia.

It is a place where we can get a train from Prague Smichov Station in less than an hour..
For the museum entry, I would recommend buying at the counter if you are not on a tight schedule because they offer a guided tour only.

There's a train station 20mins walk away that's connected to Prague (ticket costs around 3-4€ one-way). Multiple stores that sell Czech drinks and food, restaurants with Czech food are open nearby. There are guided tours in Czech and English that I recommend taking. They cost 260 CZK. Beautiful scenery all around, nice photo spots, interesting castle history. Worthwhile visit, perfect for a one-day get-away from Prague

Excellent guide in English. It’s just a shame the visit is divided into three separate tours you can’t book at the same time as you miss out on a lot of rooms.
I recommend you plan your visit ahead and try to book all three back to back.
The grounds are breathtaking and so is the view. It’s real easy to reach the castle via train from Prague (40min ride - a train every half hour + 15min walk).
Don’t miss out on the video in the movie room, by the toilet under the main courtyard. It gives a nice picture of how the castle came to be.

we had a bad and stressful experience. We visted the castle at 8. March at 3pm. the lady who led the Czech tour didn't let us join the English group even though we don't understand a word of Czech. of course, she didn't even try to speak to us in English or explain herself, so we stood for over 20 minutes like complete idiots and listened to something we didn't understand at all. after the friendly guide from the English group agreed to let us join her group, the person in question still insisted that we must stay in her group. she was terribly unpleasant and unkind and annoying. it is completely unclear to me why and what is the point of it, but the experience we had was very miserable. another thing is that until 1.may. over half of the castle is closed. including the most important part that remained closed to visitors when we were there. the ticket price was not adjusted for that, but we paid the full price as if we had seen everything, which I personally think is wrong. I wouldn't go back again

We went here to visit the castle with a tour guide. Make sure you're on time because they are really on time to start the tour. We were 5 min too late because of traffic and the group already left. It's a fun place to visit and really great to see how the people lived in the early days.
Make sure to buy tickets in advance and yes they really do check your tickets when you enter.

Absolutely GORGEOUS CASTLE! There are several tours for visiting different parts of the castle, tours are available in both Czech and English. Drinks and snacks are available there in the castle. You cannot do self guiding tours, which I don't blame them for, and it's quite nice! It's a good hard hike up the hill, I believe I saw rides available for purchase for those who can't physically make the climb

An amazing place to visit when you want a break from the crowds in Prague. An easy drive or train ride and up hill walk from the city - this medieval castle does not disappoint. Definitely worth the cost of the exclusive tour - I did not expect to see such amazing art and history up close. You are not allowed to take photos inside the castle but I will remember it for a long time. All this set next to a charming village and lovely countryside. Well worth the day trip.

An amazing castle just 1 hour from Prague. Photos just do this place justice. Def worth a visit.
Garrison town converted into concentration camp & Jewish ghetto, with museum, graveyard & tours.
Great experience. I enjoyed a lot the guided tour. If you’re in Prague it’s worth the trip to go there, definitely.

Sad, but necessary reminder of what has happened in fairly recent history
We had an English guide and would strongly recommend asking for this. He was very knowledgeable about the area and encouraged questions.
Parking is in a lot down the road and was 10Kc.

We had a great guide (in german) who has explained to us all the history and details. In the ticket price of CZK 280,- is included also Ghetto Museum in Terezin city center - worth a visit! We spent 3 hours there and no eye was left dry...very emotional.

Lots of history. Most of the things are still in the original state, very sad but it's a reality that shouldn't be forgotten. I would recommend to visit this place and see it it's totally differently what you see in the movie.

Don't take this 5 star rating to be a rating that one normally gives out to other places. This is a death camp that has a very dark history associated to it. The 5 star rating is for the staff that has maintained this place. 60 kms outside of Prague, this is a must visit place. Especially for the WW2 history buffs. This place will stir your emotions.

The monument was originally built in 1790, during the reign of Emperor Josef II (who did not live to see it completed) as a fortress (a system of three fortresses that protected Prague). It was never built as a concentration camp and never served as such. During the Second World War, the fortress was used as a prison by the Prague Gestapo and thus became famous. From the first moment, if you have already visited one of the former concentration camps, you can see that it is rather a milder and "nice" place compared to the camps. Of course, I don't mean to downplay the brutality that took place here. I recommend buying at least a paper guide, there is a map on the ticket, but it is easier to go according to the numbers in ascending order. After visiting the small fortress, be sure to visit the city of Terezín and the large fortress that served as a Jewish ghetto + cafes and a hospital

They did not have a working gass chamber, but they were a killing machine! This is such a terrible and cruel place. We cannot allow something this terrible to happen again! Never forget!
Dennis Smith — Google review
My father and I did this the trip out to the concentration camp and the experience itself was quite eye opening just trying to place yourself in the shoes of what the people went though during this time. It was a humbling experience to say the least. The families lost, children that grew up never knowing their mothers and fathers as well as how the jews in particular were treated. The fact that this was allowed to happen and that people can do this is still something that is beyond me. A must do day trip if in Prague
The Bastei is a scenic location in Saxony, Germany featuring a picturesque series of tower-like rocks surrounded by hiking trails and a historic bridge. Visitors can explore the fairytale bridges of Rakotzbrucke, stroll through the charming town of Gorlitz, and even cross the border into Poland all in one day. Despite its beauty, the area can become crowded with tourists during peak seasons. In December, however, some shops and hotels may be closed for the season.
If you love the nature and solid beauty of the rock formations, then you have to visit this place. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture stunning views of the surrounding area from the heights. The walkways are narrow and slippery in bad weather , so make sure you have comfortable footwear and hold on to the rails... The fall from some of the walkways is not the thing that you want to experience. Fresh mountain air, great views of the nature... We enjoyed every second of the time spent walking through the course. The entrance (we were there at the end of December 2021 ) was free. Definitely recommend to take a walk there.

I also recommend it to those with a fear of heights, it's a place where you can test your ability to overcome this fear! Fantastic view in a very well organized circuit!

Bastei bridge - the most popular and the most famous. In the season better visit early in the morning to avoid queuing. There is one parking close to this place, 5 min away, the other one is 2 km away and you will have to walk or take a bus. We parked 2 km before Rathen kurort and hiked visiting Rathen first and Elbe river.
On the Bastei you can visit a few viewpoints to have a better shots of this place. Don't skip Neurathen castle. Entrance fee is 2,5 euro and you can experience this place from a historic perspective.
I wouldn't suggest visiting this bridge in the summer. Place is completely packed with people meaning you can't enjoy the views properly. In my opinion hike to Schrammsteine is a better option and Ausichpoint there is a masterpiece.
There is a restaurant located close to the Bastei bridge with a nice view of Elbe river - quite expensive place. You can also check a few other places nearby to buy some food.

I hit the road from Chemnitz to Bastei, and I gotta say, it was a cool discovery. Went there twice, and it just kept getting better. Sure, it's a bit tiring, but man, the views from the top are unreal. Loved taking on that challenge!

This is an amazing place for a day trip. Overall, the bridge is, probably, overrated a little bit, but it still worth visiting. The rocks are absolutely unexpected and we were really surprised. There is a spectacular view and outstanding nature around. Good parking is available very close to the bridge or another one in the small Village Rathen.

The place itself is nice, but it was so terribly crowded it barely was an enjoyable experience. Having to wait in lines to be able to get to lookouts isn't really how I like to spend my time. And we went there pretty much off season, late October... Can't imagine it during summer holidays 💀

What a stunning region! 🤩 Absolutely breathtaking!!! 😍 What a gift from nature... 🏞️ You might even spot some climbers in action while on the go 🧗!
The highlight, without a doubt, is the new viewing platform on the Bastei (opened in February 2023, approximately 21 meters long and about 3.30 meters wide). What a fantastic sight...
As for the tasting experience, all I can say is: pure delight, as if you're touching the sky while standing firmly on the ground! 🏔️🍴✨
PS: By the way, up at the top, there's a clean public toilet available (€0.70).
PS: Part 2 of the journey is already in the works... 😁!

Water & Amusement Parks
Sprawling tropical-themed water park with rooms & cottages, plus an indoor rainforest & a lagoon.
Amazing place if you want to charge your batteries ,especially during winter months you could feel tropical atmosphere without leaving Berlin at all. You could hire room out there and stay overnight if want. Plenty of attractions , air balloon , tropical dancers / shows and tropical food make you think that you at Bahamas :) Restaurants are great with delicious food ,and kids like it as well. No problems with parking , easy access from Berlin and local areas. This place is HUGE , you will notice it long before you reach car park. Enjoy.

Stayed for three nights and had a fantastic time with my family (wife, mother in law +3 small kids).
Will start with the low points first:
1. At check in there was only one counter working and it took us 40!! minutes to complete the process.
2. Not enough sitting chairs around the pool area - you need to go at around 7am to catch an empty chair....
As for the good stuff:
1. Amazing place
2. Many pools for the kids
3. Amazing water park for children and for adults (I enjoyed it as much as the kids have).
4. Very friendly staff.
5. Great selection of food and drinks - restaurants are located all over the place.
5. Holiday villa was very good and well equipped.
Will definitely return next year.

Absolutely perfect place. I wouldn't know what to recommend first. The easy accessibility from parking, the quick check in, the convenient wristbands, the affordable eating options, the huge variety of different pools and slides. It is a truly great place.
Why would you want the stress of travelling 6 hours on a plane abroad, hotel costs and a harsh reality of a shabby hotel that doesn't look like anything on the photos? This paradise gives you 90% of a vacation to Turkiye for a fraction of the cost.
The only minus is that we only booked a day ticket and not a weekend stay. We'll definitely return for a weekend in the end of October.
We absolutely loved it
Richard Volprich — Google review
The place is large, but poorly invested. The slides are very moderate, more exotic slides should be added. The large pools should be more interesting, such as artificial waves. Better lighting could improve the mood. An artificial sky roof and sun would be great. A river around the place would also be cool.
Raghid Shehayeb — Google review
Absolutely deplorable service from a rude, incompetent staff. The bus never leaves according to schedule, resulting in missed train back to Berlin. The management should be fired and replaced by service-oriented intelligent people who know what they’re doing, rather than those who have nothing but contempt for their customers.
The rooms are all cockroach-infested cesspools with no air circulation, for which you will pay an extortionate price of several hundred Euros.
Food is of general poor quality and taste.
Avoid this place!

Tropical Islands is more like a theme park. It is way overpriced and it is definitely more catered to children than adults. It's pretty cold when you're not in the water and there's no space in the water to actually swim. You can't relax for a moment as there are balls flying at your head and children screaming and splashing. The outdoor pool becomes way too busy during the day and the revolving doors are like a death-trap waiting to happen with kids trapping each other inside constantly. As you try to exit the pools you have to avoid children body slamming each other and stray sandals tripping you up.
The spa area is a shambles. It is relaxing to an extent but there are so many people walking around confused about spa etiquette as people are coming in with swimsuits and some without. Kids are also allowed into the spa area meaning it is yet another area for kids. I feel like this area should be adults only considering the rest of the park is dominated by the children.
There are literally no water fountains and if you want to hydrate you have to pay almost 5 euros for a bottle of water. Not providing people with water, especially in a spa area, is actually dangerous and it really sours the experience to be dehydrated. Considering how expensive the entry is, plus paying so much for food, I really think water is a basic thing you can provide guests to keep them happy and healthy.

Stayed for a night and a had a great time. Tent was comfy and enough room for the night. Plenty to do there to keep you occupied for a few days. Spa area was lovely and clean and some very nice saunas. Pools and slides are all good fun. Wish the outdoor surf pool was open but that will have to be for another time. Think it was around 30 degrees inside so it's a nice temperature, just like being somewhere tropical!

It's pretty awesome, but when there are vacations in Berlin it's too crowded.
But avoiding that time and you have plenty of space and amazing slides and wonderful plants and a nice spa experience.

one star is too much. not only do you pay for the ticket, but also 6 euros for parking. the food costs as much as in a good restaurant, but it's not very good. drinks are more expensive than in a fine establishment and also poor. water slides are nothing special, slow and short. in addition, there is no tropical climate inside, just plain heavy air. one feels like in a cage. maybe children get some fun, but for adults it's all just weak. for this price it is better to buy a 4 pack of beer and sit on the balcony. I do not recommend

the last time I was in Tropical Island was 17 years ago and I was very surprised by the changes I saw there. First of all, the equipment did not look worn out at all, new swimming pools, new attractions, delicious food - we used the Thai restaurant. Plants in very good condition. To sum up the trip - I am very pleased!

Shocking level of services, takes ages to check in, around 2 hours, the tags that you pay with are on separate accounts, front office staff offer not leave of service
Processed a payment then claim that the payment was never made, made me wait an hour at front of house until they decided to call the finance team to confirm if the payment was made.
if you don’t mind rudeness and zero level of service then I would recommend this place due to the facilities.

This is the second time we have stayed here for a week each time. Absolutely love the place. It's so reasonable in terms of cost and the use of the park with accommodation absolutely makes it. I would go so far as to say it's unique in it's existence in terms of quality and price. It's not cheap once in the resort but you can mitigate that with self catering and sensible snacking. I would recommend this place to families, couples, and friends groups. Caters to all who are looking for a water park resort experience. Very easily accessible from BER airport and exceptional transport from the train station at Brand and around the resort. Quick one to note, if you arrive on time check in at the resort reception and avoid the dome. It's very slow at the dome and adds to your journey back to the cabins. Unless you're staying in the dome of course!! Highly recommended. Please like this review if it was helpful.

I was hesitant to go there after reading the reviews, but I'm glad I did. My kid and I had a great time there. We went on a Sunday (cheaper fee) evening, when it was not crowded at all. We didn't have to wait in line for any slide or the reception. The place was fairly clean (except for some cockroaches), the attractions were well designed, and the people were nice. The service was decent for North German standards. They didn't smile much, but they weren't rude either. It was easy to get there from Berlin by train, and then take the shuttle that runs every few minutes.

Good water-based fun for all ages. Also, educational and immersive in Rain forest fauna and flora. Good food. Lots of walking and steps/stairs, but there are some ramps. Make your appointment for massages and cosmetic procedures at least a week before arriving to have a chance at getting in. Awesome sauna and hot tubs for those willing to go in the nude.

A really good place to hangout for a day and for people who love water it's an amazing place to spend. No fear for people who are scared of water as well as the pools are not very deep. Very nice slides not many though but the once which are there are nice and enjoyable. Overall a really good place to enjoy a day. Place could have been bit more cleaner and i would have given 5 stars.

What an amazing structure. Loved sleeping in the tent, the accommodation and the entrance were really good value.
Unfortunately the big slides were closed, the rapids were underwhelming and the food was expensive - I was super annoyed that there were no free water dispensers anywhere. Especially as we were staying over.
All in all a great experience, but maybe the water attractions need some investment (a proper lazy river / better rapids) and less of a rip off for drinking water.

Location is good, we found it easily with the car and had a parking space available.
We arrived and the line was huge, but everything went fast. I have booked it as a surprise for someone special and as well a bottle of wine, we got the keys of the room and weren’t really happy with it. We went back to the reception and it was no problem to give us a an alternative room - very friendly! The place is so good, we had dinner there at the buffet and had many options. We had really so much fun, it was everything well organised, busy, but you still could enjoy it - I hope they keep it busy this way always!
We also made use of the SPA and it was really good. I just think that kids should not be allowed there. It was strange!!!
There are many restaurants you can choose. Many stores.
Breakfast buffet was good!
We also had dinner in one of the restaurants there and it was nice and friendly.
Was such a nice time and we for sure will come back.

We wanted to celebrate my son birthday, so we bought s family ticket. Arrived to tropical island and on the entrance provided a ticket (we were 4, 2adult, 2child) and was provided with 1 bracelet, so entered all and all was good until.. when we were leaving, there is a hole where you but the bracelet to leave, and you was suppose to put 1 for each person. But we were provided only one.. when we asked what to do to s person who was in charge there he told none of my business, go to information. Tho we have spent there 20+minutes, providing original ticket, so the end of the trip was ruined and we missed the train. Not recommend. Birthday ruined.

A really big and nice water park, probably the biggest water park under the roof. Wonderfully warm inside even though it was only 15 degrees outside. A warm river outside with massage devices. The only downside is that it is a bit far from Berlin. When we visited there was a railway renovation, we had to use 2 metro lines, 2 local trains and 1 free bus, it took almost 2 hours each way, normally I heard that you can get there in one hour by one train from the main station. But despite everything, it's definitely worth visiting there👍👍👍 I'll come again if I fly through Berlin.

We stayed just 1 night. The check-in process was not great as I knew I booked a package with evening meal but he said there is nothing here. We pushed on this and eventually got it sorted out and our meal .
The park itself is brilliant and impressive with loads to do. We loved the fact there are animals and real plants there. You need 2 or 3 days to properly relax though . The prices are high for food but like everywhere now. Rooms are big and comfortable but need air conditioning as some have it and some don't.

We were there in January to stay overnight, checking to the rooms only possible at 15:00. We got there at 12:30 and there was a long line of people waiting to get in, so we had to wait for 1.45 hours to get to the counter and check in. That's a minus point.
Otherwise, the place is huge, plenty of saunas, swimming places, and relaxing chairs. Food is fine, but the whole experience was quite expensive for a night there.

This could be an OK place if they weren't so greedy. There were WAY too many people let in at a time, so there was never a sunbed available and always a line. They don't allow outside food but still charge outrageous prices for everything there. I wish i had smuggled in food. The smoking room is awful, and beer costs 5,20 for 500ml. There was a line for every single place all the time. The staff was mostly nice. The dying plants and stressed out parrots in cages really bummed me out. Avoid it. You can have way more fun elsewhere for less money.

Never ever again.
Do not waste your money in this place.
Let’s skip to the worst part:
We booked 2 nights staying in a premium family room for 6 people. No soap, no crutches -neither provided upon request. The second day it started raining into the room- literally inside..nobody cared. We tried to stop the rain front entering with the towels we had. After an hour someone just put a bin right in front of the room’s door, nothing else. We could not enter our room , neither take a shower. If we wanted further towels we should rent them. Nightmare started at 16:00 pm, going up and down to the reception begging for help. At the end, we were given the only 2 rooms available for the second night, different from the one we paid for, one double and one double plus a sofa, not even close to each other. We had to move our stuff on our own, entering the new accommodation at 21.30. So half a day completely gone. No soap as well here, to stay consistent, not provided again either upon request.
Last but not least non speaking rude staff, bad cocktails…be ready to be in queue to check in 2 hours, try to find a locker and a sunbed in an hour or more.
No compensation offered , an apology gift a voucher nothing at all, I am pretty much sure a refund should apply here but I have wasted enough time with this and just want to move forward.

Huge venue with inside and outside pools. It’s a family oriented place.
We went in February so the highlights of our weekend there were spending a night in a tent, the outside heated pool and the sauna area. You need need to buy extra ticket to enter the saunas and jacuzzi area. The ticket was 14 Euros but totally worth it. Also, you can rent a towel :)

Fun place to escape the city for a day or two. The place was packed and felt a little bit too “public”. Clean and well preserved areas. Eating options are not bad, even though a lot of people preferred burgers and fries, you can also find nice Thai food at one of the restaurants. Overall good experience.

The place is very fun and interesting to spend a day or two. Nice ambience and the food is rather good. I was overall impressed with the variety at the buffet. It’s great too to have a chip card that puts everything in a tab and you pay when you leave. Makes it very convenient to lock up your stuff and just have fun.
The variety of activities you can do here is great, and the water slides and Amazonia was particularly nice.
Room wasn’t ready on time which was rather inconvenient. Once cleaned too the room wasn’t very clean, the previous guest left clothes behind that were still there when we eventually got the room. it’s a very basic bare bones room, very simple could be improved by a few basics like a mirror and maybe a towel rack.
Overall it’s a really neat place and was quite fun.

Great family fun for a night away from Berlin. Our kids had a great time, as did we. Staff were all wonderful, and did a great job of trying to understand my terrible German. Some speak english but not all.
Food was reasonably priced given the captive audience and less than we expected. Would have been great to have had a water fountain to refill our bottles though.
One star off as the check in took over an hour, which others have noted as an issue beforehand too.
The Frauenkirche Dresdens rebuilt after World War II is a stunning example of baroque architecture and offers guided tours. Bach played an inaugural organ concert in 1736, and the church dedicates many concerts to his music.
A unique, magnificent view of Dresden that takes the tiredness of climbing up individual steps and narrow corridors to that church. To be loved, to be admired. This baroque style church, which remained a war memorial for fifty years, fascinates with its magnificence.

A unique, magnificent view of Dresden that takes the tiredness of climbing up individual steps and narrow corridors to that church. To be loved, to be admired. This baroque style church, which remained a war memorial for fifty years, fascinates with its magnificence.

Frauenkirche ( "Church of (our) Lady"), in Czech Church of Our Lady, is an Evangelical Lutheran church in Dresden. A really awesome Baroque buildings in Germany.
Unfortunately we didn't get to go inside.
However I love that. As for the whole Dresden.

Dresden is a beautiful place. At all season it’s beautiful. You can just roam around the city and it’s more beautiful by night.

Like all buildings from Dresden, this wonderful cathedral has been completely rebuilded and finished 60 years after the bombing from '45. The baroque style respect every details from the old cathedral and it looks gorgeous. Do not miss to get inside, it is overwhelming.

The Church of “Our Lady”, which withstood the cannon shots of the Prussians, as well as the air raid of the British army. It fell only due to the melting of the sandstone by fire, rebuilt. Incredible work

Beautiful church to visit. Cost is free to go into the church. You can ascend to the dome for 10 euro. Well worth it. 70 meters high (221 ft) to viewing area. I counted 304 stairs descent with 300 meters of spiral climb (non steps)

We visited the nearby bridge to witness the colourful new year celebrations. If you don’t eyewitness it you won’t be able to feel the ambience as well. Few photographs have been captured to have a look later, however, which is not sufficient, I believe.

Not usual architecture for religious place: plenty sunlight inside all over the building. The kirche dominate of Dresden Old Town, recommended to observe also outside.

Beautiful church in Dresden. Rebuilt after WWII. Stunning on both the outside and inside. The altar is amazing and so is the Dome.

Beautiful church in the baroque style with some elements of rococo. As of 2024, it’s 10 euros to go up and it’s definitely worth it.

What a marvelous church and rich history that comes with it. It was bombed and destroyed during WW2 by ally forces and left in ruin during the communist rules. Then, the church was rebuilt in 8the 1990s and stands firm as a witness of history.
The lady staff holding an album of the historical photos near the front area was extremely helpful by explaining its history to visitors. Highly recommended!

A beautiful church located in the middle of Dresden's old city centre. It's a must-see when you visit Dresden. The church was heavily destroyed during World War II but has been beautifully reconstructed. Admission to the church is free of charge. The interior is also breathtaking.

Iconic and historically significant, the church feels light and cheerful. I visited for a baroque music concert and enjoyed the acoustic and atmosphere.
When visiting Pilsen, the Old Pilsner Urquell Brewery water Tower is a must-see attraction for beer enthusiasts. The brewery, in operation since 1842, offers guided tours that take visitors through the history of Pilsner Beer production. Tour highlights include a visit to the old cellars and a taste of unpasteurized beer at the end.
Super

You will also visit the old part of the new one.
And the best is the underground which is really big.
And at the end, of course, a tasting of unfiltered Pilsen, which matures in underground barrels.
And be sure to visit the souvenir shop.

The Diana observation tower offers breathtaking views of the city and distant mountain ranges. It can be reached by funicular or hiking, and is well-worth the effort for those who want to get a sense of Karlovy Vary's stunning surroundings.
Great view over the Karlovy Vary valley. There is even elevator up and down 😲. Worth to walk there as the forest park around is really nice 👍.

Must to visit place in Karlovy Vary. You can walk all the way up or cheat and use very unique cable lift. I was cheating of course. There is a small fee to be paid and off you go. Observation tower is walking distance from the cable lift station and there is a restaurant with the butterfly farm next to it. Entry to the tower is free of charge and there are steps up and down or lift in the middle. From there you can see the whole town of Karlovy Vary.
Michal Valent — Google review
Absolutely stunning lookout. The lift was under maintenance apparently but i managed to climbed the 150 steps, it wasn’t that bad at all for average for healthy person. I went on Wednesday in November so there were no waiting times at all! Perfect! Went to their restaurant to refill the tummy, took some awesome photos in the beautiful autumn trees nearby. Worth it! If you dont visit here then you definitely do not officially explored karlovy vary town. Just make sure you take the right funicular/train, not the one in Imperial station as i made a mistake by going there.
Tried to buy funicular ticket online but couldn’t find the button on the website. Czech website kinda sucks most of them.

Nice view all over Karlovy vary city. We climbed on the funicular up and down. It wasnt a big line. the butterfly farm is not active on the winter.

Nice viewing point of Karlovy Vary. There is a lift that leads to it, but during my visit it wasn't working.
There is a restaurant and a souvenir shop next to it, and for the kids a small playground and a butterfly house.

This tower stands at a scenic viewpoint from which you can see the forests and the mountains and the town of Karlovy Vary nestled in the valley below. Many of the visitors to Karlovy Vary over the centuries have visited here, including Goethe. A funicular takes up to the top of the hill the. You can take an elevator free of charge to go to the summit, there are also pleasant paths and hikes through the surrounding woods. There is also a restaurent and small zoo with many cute little piggies 🐷.

Went up in Winter. Be prepared for cold weather with high winds but totally worth it for the view! Make sure to climb the tower on the top of the hill as it is free and gives you a 360 degree view of Karlovy Vary and the surrounding countryside.

I visited this tower during a day tour. The views from the tower are beautiful. You will find an restaurant as well with some animals behind the building which was also nice to see. The restaurant staff are friendly and the capucino is good.

Lovely place to go atop karlovy vary, Czechia. There’s a funicular but also a somewhat medium level trail that will take you to the top. We enjoyed the views at the top and the kids enjoyed the playground. There’s also a restaurant and a butterfly museum there.

You can get there by lift or stairs. It has a spectacular 360° view of Karlovy Vary and surrounding areas. A must visit if you have a few hours! You can hike up from Karlovy Vary or take the lift car. From there you can hike down and enjoy nature.

It was one of the nicest towers I've visited in the EU. 150 wide steps, all uniform construction, too, plus they are completely enclosed.
I like the signs telling you what is in the distance from each section of the lookout area. There's an elevator as well. I imagine maintenance funds come from the cable car fees (which were reasonable) from Karlovy Vary, just behind the famous Grandhotel Pupp.
Mallena Urban — Google review
Good observation point over old Karlovy Vary. It is reachable by feet over mild steep tracks over the hill or the one can purchase a ticket for a small up hill rope driven train. Observation tower has a lift and stairs, of course. For our great surprise - lift was free of charge.

Nice place that you can reach by funicular railway or by foot.

The ibis Bamberg Altstadt is a basic, laid-back hotel located in the heart of Bamberg. It offers complimentary Wi-Fi and a 24-hour snack bar. The city of Bamberg features an imposing cathedral and many picturesque buildings with an authentic medieval appearance. Day trips to the cities of Nuremberg and Wurzburg are also very recommendable.
Near the old town and walking distance from train station. Price-quality wise really good. Peaceful and clean place. There are good restaurants nearby too. Friendly and helpful staff.

Sweet little hotel with a very friendly personal and a nice view from the 4th floor! Perfect for visiting Bamberg for a few days or just a weekend. The location couldn’t be better - it’s in the heart of the city and still very quiet.

The hotel at the centre of Bamberg. The furnitures is quite old and the extra bed was broken. The underground parking was big enough but it was quite expensive.
Catherine HKI — Google review
Overall it is a nice hotel in a great location within walking distance to some great sights and places to eat. Hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious with a comfy bed, BUT there was a very strong sewer smell in the bathroom and the shower was small and in a triangular shape so it was difficult to have a shower.
I would stay again

My husband and I arrived, during Christmas Market time. The concierge's name was Abdullah, who was very professional, personable and helpful. This hotel was close to the festivities and had underground parking. Parking fee was $20 euro for the parking, which was convenient not trying to find parking elsewhere or the possibility of walking long distances, with suitcases. The room and bathroom were very clean, location mostly quiet (in the middle of the night, there were people smoking and speaking loudly outside, which wasn't the hotel's fault), beds and pillows were comfortable and the temperature pleasant. If one didn't want to eat at the hotel, Cafe Luitpold was nearby with a delicious, fresh and nutritious breakfast. If we would travel again to Bamberg, we would consider this hotel again.

I stayed in this hotel for three nights and the staff was friendly during my stay. The room they gave me was spacious, but basically equipped, which is common for Ibis hotels. The bathroom was tiny and the holder for the shower head was broken, so it was uncomfortable to have a shower. The WIFI was fast and I liked the quiet location of the hotel not directly on the main shopping/entertainment street.
Thomas Dafinger — Google review
The only modern/budget hotel in the old town. Ask for rooms facing the street side (better view) and ending in 15 or 19 (larger). Not the best Ibis shower that I know (they're generally excellent), the shower floor levels with the bathroom (don't wash too enthusiastically), and there's a GREY shower curtain that doesn't let light it (now that's a first-timer!).

This is our 2nd time visiting this Hotel. Would recommend as everything was done to make a comfortable stay. The staff were excellent. Cannot fault the Hotel.

The central location is by far the best feature is this Ibis Bamberg Altstadt - you are just five minutes waking from Altes Rathaus, in the heart of the old town. The installations are very clean and functional. The bathroom is extremely small and they charge for the subterranean parking, which is something I didn’t see in the website. But anyway, in terms of cost benefit, it is definitely well worth.

Hotel doesn’t have Internet despite promising so during booking process. Rooms are old and bathroom looks like a hospital room

Everything was great here!!! Breakfast, Clean rooms, quiet warm place, park for additional Euros, but not much. Excellent Staff service as they are very nice and kind.

I do recommend it.
Located in the heart of the vineyards in Wurzburg, Germany, is a grand 18th-century palace known as Würzburg Residence. This lavish castle offers guided tours showcasing its exquisite frescos and paintings. It also boasts formal gardens that add to its charm and beauty. The Residenz palace is a significant architectural landmark, representing various European styles brought together under one roof.
I've visited the Residenz many times over the years and it's always an amazing experience. I love walking in the gardens, climbing the terraces and enjoying the view of the palace. This time I went inside again after several years and it was a very pleasant surprise to see how the presentation has changed. The large prints of black and white photos showing the destruction after 16 March 1945 add an impressive layer to the historic rooms.

One of my favorite castle in Germany. It’s a really beautiful place and there’s so much to see. The rooms are very beautiful and some impressive. However, the staff was quite unfriendly and even a bit rude. They also do not allowed photos inside but I saw a lot of people doing it and the staff ignored them so I did the same. I also want to mention that they have beautiful blossom in their garden during spring. It was magical!

It is very beautiful residence in Würzburg. We can not take a picture for inside of residence. However there are many amazing displays. Especially I would like to recommend to see a painting on the ceiling. It is most beautiful around the Germany.
The garden is also beautiful and you can visit freely and take a picture.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside - you definitely don't want to miss it!
The incredulous wall and ceiling paintings, the breath taking mirror room and the amounts of silver and gold throughout are just one part of it, there's lots more.
Saying that, I usually don't like castles too much, but this one.... Boy-oh-boy

Beautiful place inside and out. Visit the gardens. Been many times as a child and it’s still the same. Worth a visit. You can park and walk around the town but you do have to pay for parking.

Nice Residence, internal visit is also interesting. It costs €9,00 per person. I recommend it. But unfortunately you cannot take photos of the interior. All the signs and boards with the history of every part of the place are in German and also English.

Strongly recommended if you are in Würzburg. A beautiful piece of architecture with an amazing interior and an absolutely beautiful garden. The only drawback is that you cannot take the pictures of the palace from the inside. A very well maintained garden area with many varieties of flowers and a fountain in the backyard. The entry to the garden is free and you can see the palace from inside with an entry fee of 9€ per person. Garden has several vantage points of clicking nice pictures.

Beautiful place to visit if you stop by in Würzburg. With the entrance ticket you will get a free tour within the residence. It start every 20min and will take round about 20minutes. On the 10th day of our Viking Grand European Tour, we stopped at this grand location. This is part of tour package so we didn’t have to pay the entrance fee. The Residence is grand on the outside as well as on the inside. It’s just a little bit disappointing not to be able to take pictures inside but to see it with my own eyes is great. Upon completing the inside tour, you can also visit the courtyard garden and enjoy the flowers, shrubs and trees that complement the grandeur of this tourist attraction. By the way, the place is also wheelchair accessible via an elevator if you want to go to the main attraction inside the building.

Definitely worth doing the tour in English as the guide was both informative and amusing. The entire palace is quite extraordinary, particularly since it was reconstructed following the British Obliteration in the Second World War (May will be forgiven please).
The attention to detail in the restoration is worthy of particular comment, no one would know that these are not the original plaster, stucco or frescoes.

We did a day trip from Munich to Würzburg and the palace is breathtaking. The work on the walls and the lighting and decor was mesmerizing. The fact that Napoleon spent a night at this very palace is special.
You can get a tour of the palace in English and the entry ticket costs €9/ per person and if you are w astudent you pay one euro less. The palace gardens are stunning.
Must visit if you are in Munich for a while
The city's oldest stone bridge, known as the Alte Mainbrucke or Old Main Bridge, is reserved for pedestrians and showcases statues of saints and other notable icons. Constructed between 1473 and 1543 to replace a Romanesque bridge from 1133, this historic structure was embellished with twelve statues measuring 4.5 meters in two phases starting in 1730.
Scenic, old architecture, beautiful and relaxing. Don’t forget to buy a glass of wine from the shops at the end of the bridge. This is the heart of Würzburg. Always bustling with lots of people around, standing with a glass of wine and admiring the beauty of the city with fortress and riverfront on one side and the beautiful vineyards on the other side. A historical cobblestone bridge which looks a lot like the replica of the famous Charles bridge in Prague, with the statutes dating from 18th century standing on both the sides. It is a recommended place to watch the sunsets as you can observe the sky changing the shades across the vineyards.

There is plenty to interest and divert in Würzburg. Museums, bars, restaurants and beautiful streets bound.
What makes the Main Bridge worth your time? Well, there is the draw of drinking a glass of fine wine with a view of the vineyards that produced it. There is the chance to see just how impressive the River Main is. Wide, fast flowing, wild and exciting. There is a romantic aspect, the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable even if you just want to walk and enjoy the views. Oh, and it is free.
We didn't drink, but we did stop to enjoy the view. It is busy but if you are in the city you must stop by.

One of the main touristic highlights in the city, particularly popular because of the astonishing view on the river and the fortress on the hill. Very atmospheric tradition is to take a glass of local rose wine or aperol and drink it on the bridge directly over the river. But be ready to meet a 100m queue before the wine shop on holidays. My recommendation is to visit this place in the late Spring or early Summer.

Fantastic place in the evening, everyone comes onto the bridge to wine and dine, often on the weekends musicians play. An experience not to be missed on a hot sunny evening.
There was no rowdiness or drunken behavior, went there on a Tuesday evening in July, the bridge and riverside was bustling with people having a fun peaceful evening.
