Modern zoo with animals from around the world, plus an indoor dinosaur park & a petting zoo.
Lovely place to visit as a kid or an adult or full family together. Perfectly planned routes which are easily accessible by foot or even for wheelchair access or with baby prams.
Enough food options at multiple restaurants with range of drinks snacks ice cream and etc.
Enough spaces for sitting when you feel little tired and animal areas and shelters are very clean and managed so well without any foul smell.
Big parking space and very well accessible with public transport as well.
Staff is equally good and supportive.

Is lacking a few animals but the place is big, neat, clean and with a pleasant ambient . We spent a very nice day there. Various restaurant as well as play areas for the kids. I recommend it

It's a good place to bring kids. They can see animals and play in the Dino Dome or other playgrounds. The prices for parking, food and drinks are a bit high.

This is a fantastic Zoo! Beautiful place with a great variety of animals. Nice to walk around, enough possibilities to have a drink. Great parking place.

Cute little Zoo. We saw a newborn Banygiraffe 🥰 and other beautiful animals. Nice Maineroute with signs 😊

Gaia Zoo is a great place to spend a weekend with family and friends.
We really enjoyed it here. Especially 🦁 Lions and Gorilla's 🦍lot of playground for kids. Great Restaurants a lot to choose from.
We will be back.

Very cool zoo, went there with my family and we enjoyed it. The zoo is very large and there are a lot of different animals, they are all very visible and they don't have cramped enclosures. They also have good restaurants and enough toilets. They also have a statue of the animal with braille under it for blind people, which I find a very cool addition. Overall I recommend visiting GaiaZOO.

Absolutely beautiful zoo, by far one of the best in Europe! The exhibits are very natural and well designed, and they have a well rounded and large collection of animals based on the Taiga, Savanna, and Rainforest. The restaurants are also good, and all aspects of this zoo are just overall amazing! Highly recommend.
Senne Mulders — Google review
Very beautiful location. You feel like you're in wilderness. Not so many species considering the size of the zoo. You'll need some 4-5 hours to see everything. It only works till 17h.
Nenad Zivanovic — Google review
To much space for to little number of active animals. More for family with kids so the kids can play in many parks it has. Mostly stuffed animals and some alive. The overall look is good but lacks the amount of living animals at the moment. Pricey ticket also
Dorian Bebek — Google review
This is a nice zoo. It has paths to walk and look at all the different animals. Kids have a lot of possibilities to play and you can buy refreshments all over the area. Also good numbers of public restrooms and they are wheelchair friendly. The culinary experience is quite dissapointing though. Only 3 from 5 Stars. Worth giving it a try to spend a few hours and have a good time.
Franky H. — Google review
Child friendly place and lots to do. Sometimes the smallest kids struggle to see over the fence/wall as there are no ledges to stand on.
Restaurants and kiosks have always quite long queues, if even open. So have some snacks/water of your own.
We like the place a lot!

Had an amazing time at Gaia Zoo this weekend! The animals were fascinating, and the park was well-maintained.
A perfect family outing! 🦁🦒🌿
Hotel Snowworld Landgraaf is a modern accommodation located within the SnowWorld Landgraaf indoor winter sports resort. It provides dining options and a fitness center for guests' convenience. The hotel offers an excellent opportunity to experience the slopes, even for non-experienced skiers. It is advisable to bring your own gloves and equipment as the rental gear can be quite costly, especially for larger families. The hotel maintains high cleanliness standards, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
It was very clean and the staff were awesome. The slopes are really impressive! The food was ace, just a really cool place.

Had some sleep last weekend and skied for 4 hours on Saturday. That QR code to order things such as drinks and food, is a bit of a drama. Later we ate in the bistro and it was not very bad, but there are areas for improvement. The room, the beds really need to be replaced, the soft mattress is fine (waterbed at home) but these are really no longer good. Shower and room are otherwise in order. This time no screaming guests in the hallway. Early on the slopes means early breakfast and nothing is missing, just fine.
The slopes themselves are okay, better than in Zoetermeer, as there are 2 here. But after 12 o'clock the quality is also over, a lot of clumsy people who should actually have taken lessons.
Heard that they are going to renovate, and I am very curious whether we will be in the new beds next Feb 😉
And hopefully prices don't rise.
It's a bit of a shame that you can't pay in cash.

(The review is for the hotel and restaurant only. The skiing place is very nice)
Pros : it is next to Snow world so handy if you wanna go skiing.
Cons :
- Very expensive for outdated poor room
- Parking is mandatory (at least was for us for some reason) and extra. So on top of 260 for the room for 2 nights, 10e mandatory for the parking
- Breakfast is almost 20e per person. Are we in The Ritz?
- No coffee/tea in the room. You can however get one downstairs (if you can find a table and are willing to wait 1h, really, for it)
- The hotel is separated from the main building and feels like an afterthought behind the building
The restaurant : simple the worst place I have ever been to. We ordered drink after 20min with no news we asked a waiter who said it was coming. After 30min we were told they are doing their best. After 45min someone started making the order but disappeared midway. So having already paid for it, after 50min we grabbed it from the counter and left with no glass.
Which was not a bad thing as the ice is poured by hand by waiters and so is the lemon squished, after managing the till or cleaning tables.
Stay away from this hotel, and drive 10min to come skiing.

Great experience and slopes opportunities if your not an experience skiers. Recommend bringing your own gloves and equipment if you have it. The gear is a bit expensive for a family size

Just before Christmas we spent an overnight stay in the hotel with the plans to be fit and happy on the slopes. I must say that little has changed since the last time I spent the night there, which was about 10 years ago. The room had only been moderately upgraded in all those years and was quite tired. Flashing lights, damage throughout the room, terrace of our suite not accessible. Overall we slept quite well. The breakfast had moderate variety, but sufficient. You could buy American pancakes and boiled eggs could not be found for an hour.
Not recommended, no, but useful if you want to go skiing or boarding in Landgraaf.

Note that this review is for the Alpine Hotel only and not the SnowWorld skiing experience.
Extremely negative customer service experience with this hotel. We had a reservation booked and the day before check-in, my partner fell very ill, so we tried to move our reservation to a different weekend. My initial request was made over 24 hours before check-in time. Despite the illness and the 24hr+ notice given, there was no flexibility in moving or canceling our reservation. The reason given was that the cancelation policy on Expedia is for 24hr before the "day" of check-in, starting at midnight on the day before, rather than 24hr before the "time" of check-in (15:00 in my case).
Despite explaining the illness via email and phone and requesting flexibility, none was offered. Furthermore, I was not even requesting a refund (I hadn't even paid yet), I was initially simply requesting to move our reservation to a different weekend. Despite this, I was met with a lack of empathy and flexibility, and it was demanded that I pay for the full stay that we couldn't go to due to illness, even though my booking was through Expedia and nothing had been paid yet. I did pay what was requested (which was the full cost of a night's stay; no reduction or accomodations were given), and it left a very bad impression of this establishment and their customer service.
Therefore, I recommend that anyone what wants to stay in Landgraaf for the skiing or anything else avoid this hotel. There is the Winselerhof hotel, also walking distance to SnowWorld, where you can go instead, which is much better reviewed.

Decided to stay in this hotel for 2 nights before Christmas. We received a room on the 4th floor, that was quite drafty and the wind was very noisy, as it is usually windy in the Netherlands during this period. When we checked into a hotel and went up to our room floor heating was turned off so it took a whole day for the room to get up to a normal temperature. The beds were very soft to the point you fall into them and the duvets too thick, I guess that may be the reason they don't leave the heating on for guests when they prepare the room... The breakfast buffet at the hotel was reasonably good and there was something for everyone.
What spoiled the most of the staying experience was when I decided to rent out a locker for my snowboarding gear so I didn't have to take a snowboard to my room (which was prohibited by the hotel rules). These large lockers are usually rented to the guest of the hotel as smaller lockers are rented out to short term customers. Price of the large locker per day or night was 12.5 euros plus 30 euro deposit (which should be returned after the key is returned). I was explained this at the reception and was presented with a card terminal with overcharged amount that which totaled to 85e for two nights. I didn't give much of a thought about it and payed the sum even though it seemed quite steep for 2 nights including the deposit. I didn't want to hold out the large reception queue and was relying that the reception staff knew what they were doing. Later I calculated that I was charged the sum for deposit twice. When I went back to reception and explained that I was overcharged instead of simply hearing "Sorry sir, we made a honest mistake and we will return you the overcharged amount when you return the key of the locker" they tried to explain to me how I was charged correct amount for three days, because even though I was staying for two nights, they somehow rent out these hotel guest only lockers by days. Even if I had to pay three days for the locker I was still overcharged for 17,5 euros, which I tried to explain them (multiple persons at the reception) three times but they were dismissive about it. Which made me think they were quite rude, untrustworthy and lacking in elementary school math. They kept this level rudeness until the end of the visit, when the reception worker which made this payment was trying still to persuade me that they had charged the right amount. In the end I had to ask for a signed document that I will be returned the correct amount when I leave the hotel.
At this point it wasn't about the money it was just the way how rude and dismissive was their behavior, trying to take me for a naive person which doesn't know simple math.
At the end I received the full owed amount back (for two nights), but I just did not see any need for going through this kind of experience. It could have been skipped altogether.
Vladimir Vujosevic — Google review
Very clean and handy if you are accessing the slopes and the breakfast is good too. Food at restaurant is expensive and not tasty at all - there are better restaurants 15min walk from the hotel.
There are no double beds and the toilet cabin inside the room made of glass is simply the most uncomfortable thing ever.
Camille Landgraf — Google review
I ordered tasty but cold spare ribs. However, the cutlary does not come along with your food apparently. You can go ask for it yourself.
On top of that if you order a Pepsi Max, make sure that you have 30 minutes of free time. Otherwise you will not be served your drink in time. Every 10 minutes they also need to be reminded that your drink is missing. The best solution is to wait at the bar. However, at the end I had my fresh and cold drink. Nearly as cold as my spare ribs.
Also I did not get any mayo, although they falsely promised me so.
RUBEN ZEKER — Google review
The blankets are too small, they don’t leave any toothpaste or toothbrush, we could hear every step from our neighbors or in the hallway, how people shower, move chairs, try the ski boots. Couldn’t sleep whole night because of that. The design is old and tired, but at least it’s clean. It’s not worth the price.
Nuray — Google review
I took my family here as a first time adventure with indoor skiing. The skiing was great with the snow being perfect. I don't know if this is the norm, but there were almost no crowds to contend with. All of the skiers were courteous, which made it pleasant. The hotel room was nice. Plenty of space for all people. My only real complaint is that, for the size of the room and that it was their most expensive room, they could have had a mini refrigerator.
Brian Blank — Google review
The Snowdome is an excellent place for snowboarding. Great area and loads of slopes to choose from. However regarding the hotel stay the customer service was not very good and we were very unhappy with our stay. The rooms were quite cold and the heating appeared to broken. We were moved rooms and this was greatly appreciated. But with regards to the customer service from some, not all, members of staff we found it difficult to be forgiving. We are returning customers and this is not a cheap experience. The communication between the staff members on site was quite lacking and when we required help for some issues we found that we were passed around and ended up running about looking for the right person. It won’t be our last visit and we hope that next time the standards will be higher.

Visitors can enjoy family-friendly rides and explore the diverse range of animals on display. The park also offers an all-you-can-eat dining option with a variety of food and drink choices. This park is a beautiful place to spend a relaxing Sunday with family or friends.
Mondo Verde is a lush green park that boasts an impressive collection of flora from all over the world. With botanical gardens, water features, and walking trails, the park offers a serene atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying nature. The park's landscaping is expertly done, with a variety of trees and flowers that create a peaceful and relaxing environment.
While Mondo Verde does have a zoo, it's not the only attraction in the park. There are plenty of other things to see and do, such as visiting the many gardens or relaxing in one of the park's many seating areas.
For those who are not a fan of zoos, Mondo Verde still has plenty to offer. The park's gardens are well worth a visit on their own, and there are plenty of walking trails to explore. You can also pack a picnic and enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of the park's many scenic areas.
Overall, Mondo Verde is a beautiful and relaxing park that's perfect for spending a Sunday afternoon. With its impressive gardens and tranquil atmosphere, it's a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Not an attraction park, not a botanic garden, not a zoo. It's a mix of those 3, and we liked it. Enough area to walk through, and is well maintained. The fountains can use some cleaning, but overall the experience was good. The "all-inclusive" experience is fine, but a place where you can eat "better" food that is not "all-inclusive" would be nice too. You can see the animals very well, except for the tigers and lions. They deserve a bigger area, and a viewpoint up high, so you can see them over the fence. Attractions we visited were nice, but we did not have time to do them all. Overall, we had a full day and enjoyed ourselves.
Sander van Dijen — Google review
Very nice place, perfect for a family day. It's a combination of a zoo, a park, an emusement center, and in the summer a pool to splash around. Awesome! One star off as despite being so close to Germany and Belgium it's Dutch cards or cash only! Why would this place not accept visa or mastercard and not even have an ATM close by... At 25 Euro entry ticket, parking, snacks everyone coming here must have lots of cash or will not be able to enjoy fully!

We went there on Friday. It was really nice day because there were a few people. The place is old but clean. The all you can eat food is OK for spending time with family without preparing your own food or own drinking. We could play amusement Park a few times without waiting. The staff is friendly. So pity that the weather is not warm enough to play the water outside.

It's just an OK place to visit, everything seems old and in need of an upgrade, the animals need more space for a better quality of life and the food is of the lowest possible quality, even if you pay extra for it (not included in All you can eat). If you don't buy a cheaper ticket online, the on-site price of 27.5 euros/adult is very expensive for what you get for your money and on top of that you have a Parking fee of 7.5 euros/car
Robert Segesvari — Google review
The park is a nice place to spend the sunday with the family. It has animals, fun games, birds, greenery. Really nice
However, the concept of "all-inclusive" is really bad. I had to wait in line more than 45 minutes for a couple of pancakes. The same goes for the fries. And they didn't taste that good.
Maybe having proper payable "more expensive", tastier food makes more sense and the whole experience more attractive.

The park is changing more and more into a family park. Playgrounds for kids and more animals. The emphasise on the gardens is gone and some of the original buildings could do with some tlc.

The family loved this. The rides were not too scary (we are not big theme park people).
The 'all you can eat' was fine. Ham and cheese rolls were basic but tasty, there was also paste and sauce. Many drinks to choose from.
Lots of animals to see, the size of the white tiger was very impressive.
The country themed buildings were interesting and well kept.
We all went in the water park, it was very quiet but maybe because temp was <20 Deg C.
My daughter loved the slides and the lights inside them.
The large tipping bucket was good. The water was very refreshing!!!!!

Great place for kind from 0 to 12 y.o.
Huge territory with different and interesting zones.
All inclusive concept - you pay in the entrance and use inside everything including food and drinks. My kids loved it!
The tourist attraction Fort Sint Pieter Maastricht Underground is a fascinating sight, as the caves there are made of limestone and were once a mining site. The tunnels and caves are a result of this mining, along with the settlement itself which is very cool with a fun tour that ends with an amazing view of the city. If you wish to leave the busyness of the city centre, this is definitely a tourist attraction you should visit.
The best tour guide with the nicest shoes ever! :)
Professional and knows a lot about the place both over and underground.
5/5. (Will definitely come here again one day)

It is a captivating blend of history and nature. The fortress, steeped in rich history and guided by knowledgeable experts, offers an immersive experience for history enthusiasts. What truly sets this site apart are the intriguing underground caves and tunnels, revealing the fort's military secrets. I was enchanted by the cool, dimly lit passageways, which add a mysterious charm to the visit. Surrounded by panoramic views of rolling hills and the serene Maas River, this hidden gem provides a unique and unforgettable journey through time and natural beauty. Highly recommended for a fascinating adventure.

The best of the best, parking down the hill, combined price with cave was very fine and definitely worthy, English speaking guide was excellent, he told us a lot of interesting things from fort history and also about the physics... the tour lasted about 1 hour, the fortress was very interesting from inside and from outside too, especially the well, cannons and city view, it was a very pleasant experience, many thanks to very well educated guide

Very cool settlement with a really fun tour. I highly suggest booking for the tour as you get a brisk walk through the innards of the dark building. Going through the narrow hallways and climbing the stairs is a lot of fun. The tour ends with a fantastic view of the city. Definitely go here if you wish to leave the busyness of the city centre. They also have cave tours btw if you want to be even more adventurous.

Great guided tour, first of the unique Fort St Pieter and then the underground Grotten (limestone quarry in a system of caves and tunnels). Definitely worth a visit. Our Dutch tour guide, Rieki (?) was giving a great and lively walking tour.

One of important historical landmark in Maastricht. It’s situated in the outskirts of the city, but accessible by walking or bus.
You can find this 19th century fort, situated on the top of the hill. Don’t worry, it’s just 125 metres from sea level, easy trek to reach the top.
Not sure about the entry inside the fort, but you can enjoy amazing view of the Maastricht city from the top of this hill.
Possibly there are guided tours to know about the fort, you can go with them to know more.
Plenty of parking spaces are available, if you are comfortable with car.
Highly recommended.👍

We bought a combo visit of the Fort and the caves. The guides, Marcel and Thom, made it a very interesting and entertaining experience. We enjoyed the tour and also learned a lot of things.
It's better to book in advance, so you can get to choose the hours. Also, bring an extra layer for the caves.

I love my experiences there with the lovely guide called Pauline. It was one of the best tours I have had so far. The tour, the guide, and the weather (on that day, not too hot or too cold) were perfect. I ended up knowing a lot more about the places and definitely will visit again because there are still more places underground that we didn't cover this time. Pauline suggested visiting again during the weekend to explore another area underground.
When you buy the ticket, you can choose either the fort or the cave. I recommend you do both. I think they are worth exploring.

Absolute must thing to do in Maastricht. The fort and the caves can be visited through the tours only (I think) and it is better to book in advance just to be sure. The tour would take you inside the fort from ground level to the top and explain the history of it. it was fascinating and last about an hour, the tickets for the tour and cave can be bought together. There is plenty of car parking available here but the best way is by the bike even though it is slight uphill, bike parking is where the restaurant is. Arriva bike is also available here. There is also a mini-golf.

We loved our experience in the caves and vault. Joe is an amazing tour guide! He is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. He made us feel very safe as we explored the areas of the chalk stone mine. Such a unique experience and a great memory to have from our trip to Europe.
The Basilica of Lady is a Gothic-style Catholic church that is built in the 11th and 12th centuries. It is located in an intimate cafe-filled square in the city and has been beautifully restored by Pierre Cuypens in 1886-1916. The Basilica of Lady is deeply spiritual place where people usually come to pray at the shrine to 'Maria Star of the Sea'. The impressive Basilica of Lady was only part of the original structure which still stands today.
I enjoyed my visit to this church, mainly because of the dark and a bit creepy atmosphere. It made it a bit original compared to many other churches.
Don’t misunderstand me, the church inside is beautiful, but I felt like I went back in time because of the atmosphere.
The entrance was free and not too much people was in there.

According to some people this is the oldest church in Netherlands. Definitely worth to visit such a historic place. Free entry.
Highly recommended to visit if you are in Maastricht. It’s situated in the heart of city centre.

Beautiful, peaceful, historic building, the detail of the structure is incredible, shows the wealth of the Catholic church. Elaborate and fabulous statues throughout the building. nestled in a beautiful town square. Visited twice on our trip & would highly recommend. No tickets. Free entry. Donation boxes for candle purchases if desired.

a Gothic church with beautiful architecture and a shrine for the Holy Mary star of the seas where you can lit candles and pray in english, german or holland. the walls are dark and you can feel it is been burned and kept this way, cafes and restaurants are in the yard facing.

One ofThe most beautiful basilica I have come across in europe. Candles going at 95cents for a tall candle and half for the smaller ones that u can lit n pray. Inside the church is beautiful. Tall high ceilings w natural lighting gives u a serene and holy feel to it

Smooth old stone romanesque basilica has very eerie feeling when you come from sunny day...dark medieval chilling air will makes you feel humble under those higher ceilings made in 11th centuries ago....striking simplicity yet made you wonder about its purpose in time....

The cathedral is located right in the middle of cobblestone alleys complete with shops and restaurants. The statue of Mother Mary holding her son made me cry. It is a must visit if you want to feel connected to God.

This old church in Maastricht is special. It's a Romanesque Catholic church found in the city's historic center. It's quite ancient, built around a thousand years ago, in the 11th and 12th centuries. Inside, you'll see beautiful stained-glass windows. The best part? It doesn't cost anything to go inside. So, if you're in Maastricht, make sure to check it out!

The Bookstore Domincanen is a beautiful 13th century Dominican church that houses an indie bookstore selling diverse Dutch and English titles. The store is stunning, with sweeping arches and high ceilings, and attracts tourists from all over the world.
It's an amazing library inside an old church. The prices of books are standard and there is also a coffee area where to enjoy a reading. Most of the books are Dutch. However, you'll find some sections in different languages such as English, Spanish, French, German, etc. The place is worth a visit
Jota A. Apellido — Google review
Very beautiful book shop that is worth visiting. The book store fits very well in the old church and this way the architecture of the church can be appreciated. The book store is big and has several floors with books. There is also a cafe, but it is not worth visiting the cafe given there is excellent pie in places around the bookstore like the famous bisschopmolen bakkery.

Great experience in this historical building, a converted church to bookstore cafe. Atmosphere is very nice to enjoy a coffee next to a selection of thousands of books and even art pieces. People are very polite and helpful. A must see place in Maastricht.

Prettiest book store in Limburg. Upcycled or repurposed medical church. The place has a great ambiance. The building dates back to year 1300. There is also a nice cafe with good coffee and bites from coffee Lovers . Also they host lot Cultural events.

Really cool bookstore/library inside an old Cathedral.
The multi levels offers you a close up look at the ceiling and structure of the Portices.

A decent collection of recent English books that will be sold fast. No surprising findings. Nice postcards and stationery.
Unfortunately there was no cosy feeling of an independent bookstore because this place kind of lost itself among a tourist attraction, a church, a photo oppotunity and a bookstore.
Olha Zelenska — Google review
While studying abroad in Maastricht, this bookstore was one of the coolest spots in town.
Not only does it represent the European mindset of reuse and repurpose, but the look and feel of this church turned bookstore was legendary! Filled to the brim with crisp paperbacks and a little shop you could get lost in for hours! The friendly staff, coffee shop, and quaint finds makes this bookstore a must see!

My favorite place in Maastricht.
This bookshop is located in an old church. It is full of books, but nothing seems to touch the original structure. The love the way the old is mixed with the new.
Of course a great selection of books. Found a few in English.

Housed within a former Dominican church dating back to the 13th century, this bookstore offers an unparalleled ambiance that seamlessly blends history, culture, and literature. The juxtaposition of ancient architecture with modern bookshelves creates a truly enchanting atmosphere that transports visitors to another world. The bookstore boasts an extensive selection of books covering a wide range of genres, languages, and interests

So beautiful and all the great books! There’s both a Dutch, English, French and Spanish (and probably other) section, so you can find all sorts of books! Reasonable prices too. This is a must visit when you come to Maastricht!

This has to be the most beautiful bookshop in the world. Set in a stunning old church complete with a cafe. If you are in maastricht you must visit it.

Great bookstore. Friendly personnel. Gorgeous location. Easily spent three hours browsing the many books. The first floor is mainly Dutch books, stationary, etc. Along with a nice coffee spot. The second floor is mainly English books, and graphic novels. The third floor is second-hand books. This bookstore alone is reason enough to visit Maastricht.
Noël Brand — Google review
I love the atmosphere of the bookstore! It is unique, impressive, and an interesting idea, to turn the old church into a bookstore. There are even some English books. If you happen to be in Maastricht, this is a definitely a spot that you shouldn’t miss— “A bookstore made in heaven”!
J. — Google review
Location of this book store is fantastic! There are enough books, however (only in my opinion) choice of English books is not that big. They have all the trend books for sure! And again, the bookstore itself is gorgeous!
Anastasia Tretjakova — Google review
Visually it is a very nice store. Very iconic location, but it's not the best 'book'store. But that might be a personal thing, I like my bookstores to sell books and little else. This store however is more all round and sells records, CDs and smaller items like mugs, calenders and notebooks. Certainly book related items but it might have had an impact as the bookselection felt a little limited, though that might also be a space thing. Despite the large square footage at its core its a fairly small store. As a bonus though, there was also a selection of second hand books.
Ellen Van Rooijen — Google review
Awesome place, I love it. It is very atmospheric and old, I liked their collection of book and souvenirs and second hand books on the second floor.
Polina List — Google review
Absolutely stunning location for a bookstore. If I had lived in Maastricht, you would find me here every day. There is a wide collection of Dutch books and a generous mix of English ones. There are also nice little presents and card games. The cafe at the back is seemingly cosy, but I did not try it.

A bookstore in a beautiful church which is cool. The books are not organised neatly and kinda messy. Worth a visit though.

One of the most beautiful church/bookshop that I have been to. Even if you are neither into books or churches, this place is a must visit as it is none of those but something really different. What an amazing experience.
Vrijthof is an expansive square featuring a focal point for musical performances, as well as a water feature at its center. This public space is enveloped by eateries, exhibitions, and houses of worship, making it a hub for community gatherings and cultural activities. The plaza's openness and ample seating areas also make it an ideal spot for relaxation or people watching in the heart of the city.

Meinweg National Park is a picturesque and serene destination, offering a terraced landscape with heathlands, woodlands, and diverse wildlife. It's popular for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. The park features remnants of the 1879 railroad and the in 1962 aborted coal mine, adding to its historical significance. Visitors can enjoy extensive hiking and biking while exploring interesting geology and natural history. The area also offers pleasant cafes at the entrance for convenience.

Beautiful landscape with different types of vegetation. Cycling and walking routes are clearly indicated.
Airy rooms, some with balconies, in an elegant hotel offering 2 restaurants, a spa & yoga classes.
My visit was very short only for one night and it was for some business stuff at Nedcar. It was very nice, the room was wonderful and it had a small terasse perfect for a quick smoke.......
The bed was very comfortable, the rooms was clean, the breakfast was perfect.
Sadly I couldnt try the Spa area as it was a no-clothes day 😁
If I have another visits in the area I will gladly stay there ones more.
I totally recommend it to you!

Bad service, food is horrible yet quite expensive: raw vegetables, tiny portions of the protein like a half duck breast for dinner, when ordering red bass fish you get a 5 by 2 cm piece with a small cheap thin white fish next to it to make up the lack of whatever you ordered). The fries that were to acompany these tiny portions didnt arrive at all and we needed to ask the manager. It took them one whole hour the serve the main dish after the entree (tiny bowl of soup). Even the drinks took each time about 30 minutes to arrive. Then the rooms. No ventilation except for a balcony door, which you don't want to open because of the busy highway right across this hotel. In summer it's extremely hot. The beds are hard, the pillows as soft and barely existing. When we arrived we had to change rooms because of the loud noise coming form our bathroom. The whole building looks like it's falling apart wholes in ceilings and walls, leaking bathrooms, stains on walls.it looks like someone stopped caring for it a good while ago. And the forest they claim to be situated next to does also nog exist, its farming land. Please don't waste your money.

Pleasant experience overall however we had booked a luxury room and the bubble bath was not working for covid measures and it was not mentioned before we had booked it. The terms are quite nice and there the bubble baths were working which is a bit contradictory. Breakfast was ok with few warm dishes ( eggs bacon .. ) as well as bread fruits,.. and tasty. The room was quiet but we might expect something a bit nicer for a 4 star hotel.
Frédéric Marquet — Google review
OK up to a point. Hotel itself is nice; in need of modernising but still retains a nice charm. Bedroom is functional, again in need of some modern touches and the bathroom could do with a lick of paint and some new tiles.
Restaurant service was a disgrace however. Despite there being fewer than 8 people eating that evening, it still took 2 hours for a bowl of onion soup and a chicken satay. When it did arrive it wasn't hot. Staff were apologetic but that's not the point.
Personally I wouldn't recommend on that alone.
John Midlen — Google review
This place needs renovation urgently. The room door doesn't open or close properly. Shower cabin is so tiny that your elbow keep hitting the wall/cabin. Each time your neighbor gets in or out of the room is a loud bang as I suppose their doors don't work properly. There is no lobby for people to chill while waiting for others. For the price of the hotel, it really good do with a upgrade.
Lydia Tan — Google review
The deluxe room is very pretty with a nice bath, only the outlets and heaters are very old and the white curtains discolered. The food in the restaurant is really good and the restaurant/bar looks cozy. The staff is kind.

What a beautiful place, we enjoyed a super relaxing day in your wellness palace. Everything is well maintained, nicely illuminated.
Plenty of saunas and baths to choose from (indoor to outdoor pool, foot bath, hot baths with and without herbal ingredients, whirlpool, Finnish sauna, Hamam, steam room, Herbal sauna with light therapy, crystal salt sauna, cold bath, several showers etc etc etc).
Decent clientele, lovely restaurant with wonderful meal options.
I'd rate this facility with five stars but unfortunately after checking out we noticed that they billed all dining items extra although we chose for the 3 course menu since it appeared to be a good deal. It clearly states "3 courses of your choice" for 29,50 EUR p.p. but the check out girl said we chose something else apart from the recommended menu by the chef which is completely not true. The waitress did not even present the chef's recommendation nor interrupted us while ordering that any of those items would be extra or not included. So we had a nasty surprise while checking out. Receptionist was not very cooperative and tried to make us believe we did something wrong. Honestly we are talking about maybe 9 EUR but it's just about the way of transparency/service/complaint management.
So this experience left kind of a taste which is a pity since we had a really relaxing day. So, basically I'd rate this wellness facility with five stars but due to the unpleasant surprise on our bill and the suboptimal way of dealing with our complaint I'll take off one star.
*** UPDATE JANUARY 2017 ***
After our second visit we experienced a text book handling with our complaint, therefore I gladly rate with five stars. Thanks a lot!
Florian Geldermann — Google review
The room was in terrible conditions, no cleaning. The breakfast was poor, no service, lots of flies near by the coffee machine, the waitress pilled up used dishies in one table, the cleaning was terrible. We left at the middle of our stay and mooved to another location, much beter and cheaper. We payed 166€/night for a room in a hotel that we thought was 4 starts, but it didn't deserve 1 star...We'll never come back to this hotel, it was a terrible experience.
Designer Outlet Roermond is situated in the southeastern part of the Netherlands, with a rich history dating back to Roman times. The city of Roermond boasts iconic Dutch architecture, traditional houses, and picturesque streets that reflect its centuries-old heritage. It is also renowned as Europe's premier destination for outlet shopping. The outlet attracts visitors from near and far, with peak hours typically occurring around 2 PM on Sundays.
I have never been so indulged by a shopping experience as much as at Roermond. The place is a fairytale with most of the brands. The staff in every store are super friendly and very very organized. Truly and enjoyable experience with awesome food selection. The prices are reduced which makes it even better. To say the least, I highly highly recommend it

Nice outlet, the place is really very good organised I took photos of the store map. The prices are not so cheap and the collections are old. The outlet is open all the year round, 7 days per week and good to visit on weekends when you have nothing to do or need a shopping on Sunday.
Ruzanna Konjoryan — Google review
I visited Designer Outlet Roermond for the second time and again had a nice feeling. Beautifully decorated environment, many stores of well-known brands in one place. This is the best outlet center I have visited so far. Great location near the city center, with a large parking lot at a good price per day. I am planning my next visit.
Nebojša Anđelković — Google review
I thought I was back in the USA. Prices were high or outrageously high for about 80% of the stores. Styles in half the stores were not appealing. Granted there were some really nice men’s stores. Food options were good and restrooms were available. Easily arrive in Roermond by train and walk to the mall. The city is very walkable. We only saw two vagrants in the entire city during our 7 hour visit and we saw no sketchy characters at the outlet mall. It’s a very high class location requiring a very high budget.
Jeffrey Scott — Google review
Great place to shop from your choice of designer outlets. Prices are reduced but size and color availability isn’t guaranteed. Big parking lot which is paid and shouldn’t be charged specially when you spend €600 in a day. Many options to eat and drink. Drinks are good too.

The outlet is also very well organized. The stores are all located in a central area, making it easy to get around. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafes where you can take a break from shopping.
If you are looking for a great place to shop for designer brands at a discount, I highly recommend Designer Outlet Roermond.
Pros:
Wide selection of brands
Great prices
Well organized
Plenty of amenities
Cons:
Can be crowded on weekends
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great shopping experience.

Best outlet we’ve been to in Europe so far! So many luxury brands to shop at. The parking lot was a little wild on the weekend but it was worth the stress once we finally got a parking spot. There are tons of stores to shop at, but not too many places to eat.
10/10 would recommend visiting!!

This is a great destination for all kinds of fashion shopping. Prices are much cheaper compared to other places. The streets are beautiful and you can easily spend a day there. I have been to the designer outlet and Roermond for the first time yesterday and i was really amazed looking so many stores together at a place so well designed next to each other. The whole area looks pretty and cozy and gives a modern village kinda vibe. The area is very clean as well. It's busy on the weekends as expected. For the kids it's also a fun place. There are couple of things to eat and play with in the walking area. The telephone booth was the highlight! Outlets also had big range of products in very cheap price. Definitely worth visiting!

Good shopping experience with plenty of options. Over weekends and holidays, it can be pretty busy.
Within the shopping area, there are limited dining options. Better to consider somewhere out of the outlet.
Chris C. — Google review
Very convenient area with various brands from clothes to cosmetics... (Gucci, Boss, new balance, Dr. Martens, Ted baker, L'Oréal, l'occitane.... Etc.) I believe you can find everything you need there with lower price (check online just to be on the safe side). You need to walk a lot between shops and you don't even realized how time passes...3-4 hours not enough to see and visit! They have Starbucks and some restaurants as well. It would be nicer to go there when the weather is good because you also walk a lot between shops.
You can also claim tax refund which is amazing. Try not to do your shopping or go to the tax refund office just before their closure but at least 10-15 minutes before their closing time because they don't/ can't do it. Unfortunately we expérienced this issue and we drove 1 hour to arrive this Outlet. Therefore, we were a bit sad to miss these things.

One of the best Outlet and places I've been in Europe so far in 2023.

The best shopping center in the region, also very close to the German border, so that you can easily access it within half hour.
It’s an enormous shopping center with many different clothing, makeup and household stores as well as food stands and restaurants. There are always sales and the prices are below the retail price, which makes the shopping experience even better.
There is a huge parking outdoors and indoors, which costs 5€/day, which is really cheap if you are planning on spending the day there. There is also a private parking area with 9€/day.

Atmospheric place, very beautiful decor, New Year's atmosphere. Lots of brand stores. Mostly old collections, or were specially tailored for outlets.
There are queues everywhere, but they move quickly.
You can only go if you want to buy Gucci or Versace, but even there, be prepared not for classic Gucci, but for collaborations.

I have visited this place in August 2023.
⠀
🛍️Here you can find all famous brands (Boss, Armani, Prada and many others) at discounted prices. It is a cozy place, narrow streets, each store is a separate house, and everything is combined into one complex. There are cafes, a children's playground, a carousel and a large parking lot 🙂
⠀
🔋I found a machine, where you can take a power bank on bail (to charge your phone, for example) - it’s very convenient.

Personally, this is the best outlet I have ever been in Europe. The diversity of stores is amazing, too many brands that you can’t find in other regular outlets. Also there are plenty of restaurants and cafes. Unfortunately, I arrived 3 hours before the closure. 3 hours were not enough to shop all the stores! They do have guest service for tax refunds. It takes 2 hours driving from Amsterdam.
Mohsen Ali — Google review
Enjoyable mixed indoors and outdoors shopping experience with shops housed in nice European styled buildings. Well serviced with eating and rest rooms and plenty of parking space (for only 5€ a day). I visited this outlet center twice and my main take away is: discounts are not as interesting as they may sound from "outlet" in the name. I compared the price of items I purchased here with their price online, they ranged from a couple of Euros cheaper (like 5€ for an item of 70€) to the same price to even more expensive than online. Look at it more like a nice tour through international brands concentrated into one place, to at best save couple of Euros, but nothing close to making huge savings.

The museum offers a nostalgic view of village life and has undergone meticulous renovations since its establishment in 1958. While entrance is free after 5pm, it is recommended to spend at least three hours exploring the site properly.
A very pleasant surprise! Loved every bit of it. Tons of friendly and soft sheep to say hi to, stories to follow around the park. A trip back in time where everything seems so peaceful and nature was ruling.
Lots of activities for kids and adults.

Lovely place to visit with a huge park, farm, flowers, and open air museum recreating the life of old Belgium. They have many buildings that have been transported and preserved as Museum.
They have activities for young and old using traditional methods including carpentry, leather, and traditional games which can be used by all. They have a very nice recreation of the sixties, with typical urban shops, houses, pubs, etc.
It has good food options as well. Amazing place to explore and enjoy the day out

Prachtig museum. Ruim, zeer goed onderhouden park.

A beautiful walk around the lakes, lots of nature and cyclists, we walked it but it did look like a lovely cycle route too. Walking through the lake was a cool experience and provided a perfect photo opportunity!

We have been visiting this open-air museum for more than 40 years, and I think it is still wonderful. For my generation, born 1945 ..1955 it is probably a memory of the past, because in my living environment as a child there were still many old farms with smallholders and people farmed without a tractor and with a horse and cart. I myself have bound corn in sheaves and threshed it with a flail. That is why this museum really appeals to me.
It is also very nicely set up with beautiful hiking trails and also nicely divided into the different provinces / regions and you can taste the atmosphere of the past. There are also actors who bring a lively story in old costumes. People are present showing old crafts. There is children's entertainment through old children's games and children's workshops.
There are also some typical restaurants where you can eat dishes from the past.
While everything is becoming digital and museums can be replaced by virtual reality glasses, a day in Bokrijk is still the ultimate pleasure for me!

A nice place to spend the day. The old houses are interesting and there is usually a guide who is happy to tell you more about them.
The "sixties" are also worth visiting. The rooms make you feel so as travelling in time :)

Great place, recommended by a friend to visit while in Belgium. We were lucky enough to find good weather to be able to explore it fully. It was like going back in time, to the 19th century and then the sixties. There were actors dressed up doing a performance in one section. Kids also enjoyed seeing the animals etc.

This is a large and interesting outdoor museum. The buildings were all brought here from somewhere else in Belgium a rebuilt here. The history of buildings spans centuries. There’s even an area dedicated to the 50’s and 60’s.

Very relaxing park. Went on a sunny day and luckily there were a lot of shadows to avoid the sun. The items in the park were of diversity, from parks with flowers, to an exhibition of an old fashioned rich family house, to old sheds and buildings to show how life was in 19th century...everything is in dutch or English, easy to read. There are friendly park employees too who give information in most of the buildings. Overall a nice park, good for kids and a nice walk!

In Bokrijk, you can step back in time and experience what life was like in different periods. The museum has preserved historic buildings, including farmhouses, windmills, and craft workshops. These buildings provide a view into the daily lives of people from the past.
Bokrijk offers beautiful gardens and natural surroundings. The park area allows visitors to enjoy walking, picnics, and outdoor activities.
It offers a chance to connect with the past and gain a deeper understanding of Belgium's rich history.

Excellent experience to do with the family. We took the bike route around the domain first and passed the bridge through the water, it was very beautiful! The open air museum was very interesting too and also the presentations to visitors!
The Japanese Garden is a serene and peaceful park that showcases a koi pond and offers various events, such as tea tastings and floral workshops. It's an ideal destination to visit during the early weeks of spring when everything is in full bloom. Visitors can spend a leisurely afternoon strolling around the garden, taking in its tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, dogs are welcome at the park, especially Japanese breeds.
It was a ZEN garden!
Finding parking area was not hard BUT the parking space for each car was too tiny i think but luckily we could park in the end. We went in May so some of the trees like Magnolia and Cherry Blossoms had bloomed, too bad.. BUT, there was Japanese Maple tree which was so pretty when it popped within other green trees!! I loved seeing birds having baby birds in the bird's house on the tree!
It was a small garden BUT enjoyable. Too bad that when we went there the Japanese tea house was empty (as I saw the review photo from a year ago you could see the Japanese accessories).
I spotted wisteria flowers (we went in May) too in the sitting area, toilets were spacious & clean. The food vans were also selling delicious mochi, fish waffle and onigiri.
Walking through the rocks path next to the waterfall was fun😀 we went to the waterfall twice as it was with a queue of people before and ok we must go on.

Mooie tuin.

Great value for the price. Only not a lot of parking space. And if you are only there to sight see then you might be done in 90 minutes. If you love photography then it will be more like 3 hours

This is an absolutely lovely garden, but quite small. So if the day is warm and nice, get ready for waiting in a queue for anything, from entry to going to the toilet or getting a drink. But it's worth it, it is really nice and lovely to see. If you go at the beginning of April, you'll also catch the cherry trees in flower, they are great. So totally recommended, just be patient.

The Japanese garden was really nice and a recommending thing to do as a date.
Allot of places to take cute couple pictures, and big fishes that u can manually feed if you are not scared, at least.
Something to note is check the weather, because it is 99 percent outside and during the rain it is less fun.
Overall recommended.

What a disappointment .... I went there yesterday, super excited to take my mother there. We have more Japanese cherry trees in the neighbourhood and those there were so pale. The rest is nice and well maintained but packed with so many people you can't really enjoy it. Attached a picture of spectacular cherry blossom in Brussels.

Amazing place to visit during the first weeks of spring, when everything is blossom. You can spend a relaxing afternoon just walking around and enjoying the calm that garden breaths. Plus, you can take your dog with you, and if it’s a Japonese breed even better combination.

Volgend jaar iets vroeger langskomen.

The garden looked somewhat faded when I visited in June. Its peak is now two months in the past. It cannot be called an 'oasis of peace', as work is currently underway on the nearby motorway. The constant noise of excavators and jackhammers disturbs the peace. Furthermore, a typical and beautiful landscape, with a photogenic ceremony house in the middle. Come a little earlier next year.

A very very small garden which can be visited entirely in just twenty minutes. We waited one hour in queue to buy our tickets which wa disappointing! There are not much to see or visit, but the fishes are interestingly nice. There is a cottage in Japanese style. The walkways are really tiny and not very secure to cross the water. There are washrooms and some cabins which serve fries and tea or coffee. If you have nOthing else to do or nowhere else to visit, then it can be as your last solution.

A beautiful and amazing Japanese themed park. It's absolutely stunning in spring when the blossoms are blooming and the park is filled with colour. The little paths are nice and lead toi around the whole park. There's some food trucks with Japanese snacks and you can sit down and have a drink as well. If you go by car parking van be an issue especially during the busy spring season so keep in mind you could be looking for a parking spot for a little while.

The Gin Museum Hasselt is a charming museum featuring historical exhibits and tastings in an operational 19th-century distillery. Visitors can learn about the entire process of jenever production, including its marketing history. Though the displays are primarily in Dutch, English booklets are available upon request. At the end of the tour, visitors can sample jenever at the bar or purchase various bottles and miniatures to take home. The museum also features alluring scents that add to the experience.

I visited this place during a public holiday just for a view around. I was given a book and had to match the translations, which is cheaper for them to print multiple copies of the translations on paper to hand out than print it once on plastic and attach to the exhibit, but the game of trying to match the paper-based translation to the exhibit soon grew tiresome, especially when there's no clear key to match them up and you've just got to manually cross-reference the exhibit titles to what's in the book. (would it have hurt them just to provide some numbering system or colour coding to help?)
Nonetheless I found this quite an educational trip, from the preserved equipment (with steps and ladders allowing close-up examination) with information about the actual fermentation and quality control process, through to the use of machinery to automate production (and reduce costs) as well as product marketing and distribution, including how production was affected from external influence (laws, weather, society, cultural habits, etc).
There's a certain amount of interactivity: a few buttons to press to illuminate specific topics or hear recorded playbacks, plus one or two games to play. Some of the video explanations of the workings were good and detailed, although their placement isn't great - it's difficult viewing some when there's dazzling reflections from bright spotlights overhead. Similarly, some other videos were simply subtitled in different languages so didn't make sense listening in.
The cost of the exhibition included a drink at the end and there's a sample room in which different flavours can be smelling bottles. However, once you get to the bar it seems not all those flavours are on offer - there's only a choice of 5 for the tour drink.
I enjoyed it as a bit of an eye-opener into gin production and history of how trade and culture changed over the years, including some good examples of leadership and commerce in a land that struggled with exports yet thrived despite the hardships. It's important to note that it's not just the production itself and how the process evolved though feats of engineering, but also how the product brought prosperity to the region and how much of an industry grew up around it, shaping and affecting the lives of those living around the region.
A worthwhile visit, but felt they could have catered for foreign speakers better.

Beautiful garden and castle!
We been during the Enchanted Gardens which was in October. We went for the extened tickets as we wanted to visit durinthg e day but also evening.
The castle is very beautiful, nicely done and with good infor, unfortunately none was in English.
It's very nice to visit as it's such a cosy place to be at.
During the evening, the place was transformed in a fairytale. From the entrance till the exit everything was fabulous.
The colours, the lights, the music, everything was perfect, it took alot of design and architecture to come up with such amazing play of lights and design.
I love the fact that many lighting designs were made out of recycled plastic, very nice!
It takes about 1-2 hours to cover the entire garden, depends on how often you stop to take pictures etc. There are also options for Cafes and food which you can get.
Totally worth going here.

Nice and tidy garden.
I was with 2 children, but they were very bored the whole time.
I recommend that they make more entertainment for the children while walking.
I'm thinking here of swings, children's toys or more live animals.
In my opinion, this program is only suitable for adults and the elderly, not for children.
If you want to spend the day here with children, choose another program elsewhere.

We went today for the first time. It was very nice; clean, sunny, beautiful nature... Playgrounds for children are also very nice, our child played a lot. We had an ice cream at the of the tour, again we had nice time. Now, I would give 5 stars if they had toilet for toddlers or baby change station. In the end, when we wanted to change diapers well there is nowhere to change. That was little bit disappointing. Otherwise 5 stars.
Toverland is a family-friendly amusement park in the Netherlands that offers magic-themed roller coasters, rides, live shows, and restaurants. It's a great destination for a holiday with children, offering an array of attractions suitable for both thrill-seekers and those seeking a more relaxed experience. A great park! Beautifully decorated for the holidays it has met and exceeded our expectations. We went with a 6 year old and an 11 year old and could enjoy almost all the rides even in winter. Calm and very neat park, busy but not straight away for mid August. Plenty of rides and stuff for all ages. Went with 3 older teens. Troy is a proper ride and should be sampled a few times. A classy Thorpe park?

We start with the facilities, the truth is that they are super good, you can see that the gears, and other elements are in good condition, which offers a sense of security; It has a good theme and a multitude of attractions for both adults and children, it is divided into 6 zones but perfectly connected between one attraction and the other.
Another issue is the price, it has 2 modes: one only in the afternoon and the other for the whole day, the prices are very reasonable, for what it offers the price is super cheap, it is a good way to spend the day either with the family or with friends.
It is a good option at a very affordable price.
The only fault I would make is that on weekends there are crowds of people, which sometimes forces you to queue at the attractions.

The rides are fit for all type of audience - we went in three persons, a couple and a 2 year old. He had A LOT of fun on the kiddy’s rides (they have a whole covered pavilion for kids, amazing! Specially after they are 4/5, but my sun had a lot to do even being smaller), and we also manage to go on all roller coasters with the “baby swap” (he goes, I stay with our son and vice versa, one line only).
I would definitely come back - we even got a free return ticket for the winter…

Very good amusement park. We were on a weekend and there were small queues. The lines moved quickly. When you sit on the attraction, you put things in the baskets on the other side of the attraction and they are safe at that moment, you can pick them up after the end of the trip, very comfortable. If you are traveling with kids a must! Necessarily!!!! Take spare items with you. there are very cool and fun water rides after which you will need to change clothes. Some attractions have photo fixation. Don't forget to smile))) Photo boxes are available immediately upon exit and for 4 euros they send your chosen photo to your e-mail. Spent the whole day there. The children are very happy. There are rides of varying difficulty. There is a dining area where you can eat and just sit and relax. Lots of toilets and paid parking. Tip: The map can be picked up at the hut behind the Musica building. Park in front of the theatre and walk to the right side and around up under the musica building.

This is a lovely, spacious forest park created by musicians/artists. It has a couple of unique natural musicspiel that I think you cannot see elsewhere.

Good interesting things to see and listen to, especially enjoyed the sounds from the metal housings and the large metal flute
Gary Woodage (Woody & or Woodage) — Google review
Nice location with the children to experiment with sounds and forest. Nicely made by the flemish agency for forestry. We come here often. But watch out because some metal objects are not without risk with smaller children. But for me with 5 kids its a great place.

Very nice concept of a combination of forest and (musical) art. Free entrance after which you can explore the various art 'installations', all related to music/sound. Educational and fun for kids as well as adults. Will take about an hour or two to explore it all.

Very nice place, different than any other museum/park I know. Good idea for evening, cause than its less people, so its calm and quiet
The Overloon War Museum is a large museum in the town of Overloon that focuses on WWII history, displaying military vehicles and weapons while also highlighting a local battle. The museum has been recently renovated and offers visitors the opportunity to learn about past wars, particularly WWII. One highlight of the museum is the Militracks Weekend held in May each year, which features displays of army vehicles, tanks, jeeps, and markets.
Initial exhibition area at the front of the museum is a wide open and quite sparsely populated. But as soon as you get to the large "storage hall" in the back that is where all the hardware is stored.
An excellent exhibit is the Lancaster that was dug up from the mud with all the pieces located as part of the fuselage.
Other hardware is in great shape with loads of pieces from tanks trucks and planes.

Nice museum. Not to big, but a nice and good restored collection.
You can also cross the museum by bike, over a bridge.

Wow! Take every bit of kit left over from Operation Market Garden, then restore it and present it in a massive hanger... and you've got Overloon! It's amazing. Friendly, helpful staff and a good cafe. A must visit.

Simply brilliant museum that handles war and its horrors in a sensitive manner. Very impactful information section. Breathtaking military vehicle collection maintained to a high standard. All staff I interacted with were excellent. A special thanks to Matt who accompanied me for a walk around the garage and shared stories of the vehicles and their maintenence.

A big museum in the town of Overloon where visitors can learn about past war's but mainly the second world war. In May there is a Militracks Weekend with ww2 army vehicles, tanks, jeeps, market and entry to the museum

Impressive museum about the second world war (WW2). This is the best WW2 museum I have been too (so far) that describes the reality of the war. The collection of people that experienced the war was very impressive and interesting. They tell the story of different people in the war. The collection of tanks, artillery, other vehicles and planes is impressive. Around these there are weapons, ammo, shells and electronics ordered. Also very interesting are the military bikes and the impressive amphibious vehicles. This is a museum worth the visit. Also outside there is a big nice park.
F. Nobels — Google review
One of the most beautiful and detailed war museums I have visited so far. The horrors of WW2 have been explained very well. Must do things when you visit are climbing inside a tank and seeing the hundreds of bombs, bullets and missiles that have been displayed.
The tagline "War belongs in a museum" best fits this place... Worth visiting
Sudhir MK — Google review
It starts off with a lot of interesting information about the netherlands in WW2.
The items are original and the story about it, how it's explained is pretty good.
There is a big hall with alot of vehicles and other war machinery.
They have shelfs and shelfs of different kind of radio's and ammunition / grenades.
And an most impressive layout of the crashed british Lancester NN775.
On the outside there some more tanks and information.

I was very excited to see this museum, and it surely did not disappoint! Tickets can be bought directly on site (no need to book in advance) the whole museum takes around 4-5 hours (if you read everything in depth). Tells the heart breaking history of the occupation of Netherlands. very informative! The information inside is provided in German and i was told that English is also available. At the end there is a huge exhibition of tanks, various vehicles, planes...etc. Simply amazing!!

Very interesting and Fascinating museum to visit and lots to see and learn about. We had the voucher for a free drink afterwards in the cafe too. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to learn about the Second World War and how it affected the area.

Amazing museum with a great collection of both artefacts but lots of vehicles as well. It also shows the impact of the occupation endured by the Dutch during WW2 as well as their resistance.
It also presents the effects of the holocaust which spread to the Netherlands as well.

A very good museum with great exhibits and a deep dive into the role of the Dutch in WWII

The most incredible display of WW2 artifacts, vehicles, planes, tanks, etc, I have ever seen. Highly recommended visit!
Marinus Van Giessen — Google review
A must go for everybody with intriguing personal stories to make the war touchable. I went there with my 15 year old daughter and she liked it. I could enrich the displays with some back ground info. Questions like what is a glider, what is a radar, what are these metal tripods doing outside and how does a V-1 fly. I would have liked more explanations on how it all works. Some displays are very unique like the boat Yvette and the Lancaster bomber display. Also why not a recruitment leaflet, how to join the army? There were many schoolkids from some high school when we visited. They should also consider a career in the army. War is not some stuffy thing from the past. It is all around us!
Wilfred Steeman — Google review
For any WW2 buffs, this is heaven! I spent 4 hours wandering through the exhibits. Many well known and underappreciated pieces were on offer to look over, notably a Panzer V and Stug self propelled gun.
For english speakers, the app to bring up English translations was well worth using to get the most out of this amazing museum in a quaint and very important town in the history of Operation Market Garden.

This was our last stop on our trip to visit WWI battlefields and cut across Belgium and the Netherlands. This is a very comprehensive museum full of great exhibits mostly on WWII. Many of them are based on German equipment which one (at least I never found any) cannot find in Germany proper.
A storyboard tells the story of what it was like living on the border when the Wehrmacht stormed across the border as well as what life was like under German occupation. Loads of exhibits show life on and off the battlefield.
Though most of the museum is aimed at World War II, there are many great exhibits of previous and later conflicts.
Jeff Schmidt — Google review
A friend recommended visiting and we drove over. Very glad to have had a chance to visit and look at the collection of World War II vehicles, weapons, and exhibits. Was surprised to see the collection included pieces from the Imperial Japanese Navy from across the globe. Also learned quite a bit about the battles fought in the area. Definitely worth the trip!
Emmanuel Calupig — Google review
It was wet weather when we visited, so we only got to tour the inside, however the impact I felt from the museum was huge. The sheer amount and types of vehicles really portrays the scope of the war in a graphic way. The Lancaster wreckage display was very impactful as well.
I would definitely go back to explore the grounds as well if I ever get the chance!

If you're an enthusiast on War memorabilia, particularly vehicles then this museum has a staggering collection. Very impressive & nice atmosphere.
Big cats, giraffes & flamingoes in a safari park with animals encounters & feeding sessions.
Great and beautiful zoo with lots of nature. There s a large parking area across the road (3 mins walking tops) bathrooms after the entrance are very clean. Lots of space on the paths, with beautiful green grass, trees bushes and so on. Animals look taken care of and very healthy. As far as I've seen there are also some breeding programs for the endangered animals. Staff is very nice and helpful near the enclosures. If you've got any questions, they'll try to answer them.
Do take your boots with you after rain has fallen. Pathways will get quite muddy. Toilet areas later on are a bit dirtier menwise. Prices for a cappuccino were around 2,75.was ok for a venue. 5/5 Will visit again.

The best zoo I have seen so far :) I am visiting this place at least once a month. Great atmosphere in jungle feeling and variety of animals. It gives a feeling that you are visiting them in their natural habitat. Animals have very big are to live and some of them are free roaming in the zoo :) thats lovely!

Amazing zoo for a fun family trip!
The zoo has an amazing route which really doesn't let you down! With fun 'adventure' paths for children to explore and a wide variety of beautiful animals with appropriate environments as well. There are also a lot of animals you can get up close to. So can you walk through the walibi, penguins and monkey paths (be aware they might be curious too).
I can definitely recommend this park to everyone!
Justin Scott Bieshaar (JScotty) — Google review
This is one well kept, modern, clean and nice zoo!
The environment for both animals and visitors is well tended and looked after. Also experienced it as kids friendly.
ZooParc is complete in its diversity. I can highly recommend a visit; the enclosures are big and mimic natural environments very well (no concrete in sight and no dated or tiny pens as you might encounter in some of the older zoos). If you're going for quality of quantity and find yourself in the neighbourhood, I'd highly recommend a visit.

Nice 'small' Zoo to visit for a morning or afternoon. Good variety of animals, but do not expect very special or exotic animals. Food and drinks are average at best. My daughter mostly liked the 'adventure trails' and the playgrounds.
To be fair; looking at the fee for entry and parking I'd say consider going to a bigger zoo (Burgers Zoo in Arnhem for instance). The price will be almost the same, but longer stay and overall better experience.

A very nice zoo with a well thought out layout.
Visiting this zoo is a delight, because the round trip really leads you past all the animals There are adventure paths for children to follow which helps in keeping the younger visitors excited on the way.
If that doesn't tire them out, there is a huge playground next to the entrance.
That said, the animals are well cared for and held in a way that really lets you get close to them. Wonderful!
Oh, better purchase your tickets in advance via the website to save a few bucks.
The DAF Museum is a fascinating exhibit showcasing the history of the DAF brand with an impressive collection of trucks, rare production and prototype vehicles. While it may not be suitable for young children as there is limited entertainment available, it is ideal for car and truck enthusiasts who are interested in the development of engines over the years. The museum also features a cafe and gift shop, making it a great place to spend some time exploring.
Great place to visit, you can spend there at least hour, but probably more, depends on your interest in cars. Especially for kids is an amazing place. There are some snacks, nice fast packed soups and coffee just to sit and talk.
Natalia Navrotska — Google review
Nice museum for adults and older kids. We came here with our 3 year old and at one point he was rather bored - there isn’t much entertainment for young kids. They can sit in a couple of truck cabins and busses, but that’s pretty much it.
Very interesting for those who love cars and trucks/history and are interested in development of the engines over the years etc. It was very unclear for us whether there was a carpark or not so we just parked in the area on a street there.

from family cars, trucks, defence vehicles to racing cars, over the years DAF has pushed innovation and design in all areas. The museum gives a wonderful tour of all these design evolutions. Loved the old city bus models and Pony army vehicle.
Also you can buy toy trucks and enjoy a coffee in car seat chairs!

We had a great time. The kids were thrilled they were allowed to enter some of the cars, trucks, buses. We were so excited and we ended up in an actual delivery truck 😅
I think it would be a lot easier if the cars you are allowed to touch/get in will be better marked.

If you like cars and/or antique stuff, that's an awesome place for you. Many old cars, buses and trucks. In some of them you may get in to take photos and take a look, in others you can't (pay attention to the signs). There are some people to who you may ask questions about the cars and equipments in exhibition. There are also signs with information about most of the cars; some are written in dutch and english and others are written only in dutch.

Great museum. I’ll be honest - I really didn’t think I’d spend more than 1h here, but I spent almost 3 h! It’s a very nicely organized museum, there is a lot of information on DAF and everything they’ve produced. There is also a nice exhibition of privately owned cars, which I also enjoyed quite a lot. I definitely recommend this museum if you like cars. Otherwise, it might be boring.
Cristina Pocol — Google review
Amazing museum with tons of trucks, buses, military vehicles, road and race cars. There are also many DAF's engines, axis and transmissions on show as well as opened items that we can turn cranks and see how the equipment works.
We can also enter the modern truck cabins to feel how comfortable they have become nowadays.
To me the crown jewels are the F3 car, rally car from the London - Sydney marathon, the rally trucks, and the Williams F1 mock up.
Really worth the visit.
Diógenes Magno Laube — Google review
Don't go there unless you have a free ticket or the NL museum ticket. In my view, its a crowded car show display nothing exciting there. The only piece I found nice was the trucks and your chance to go in. If you don't speak Dutch its not the best place to go as you wouldn't understand plenty of things. They should go learn from the Germans in their car museums how to build one.
Andrew “Andy” Kamel — Google review
I thought I knew most car models but I'm surprised that I've not heard of DAF. My miss as this Dutch manufacturer has been in business since 1928 making mostly trucks with a car business that started in the 1950s. I can't say I recall seeing a DAF vehicle on the road in the USA.
This large museum is filled with dozens of full trucks, buses, some truck cabs and lots of cars. You'll find haulers and tow trucks and fire trucks and military models and even an open-wheel race car. Everything is in perfect condition and they all have captions with detailed information on the model, how this particular one was acquired and some history.
A number of the floor models are available to be climbed into for pictures through most are "no touching" which is understandable. The small gift shop has models and postcards and such for purchase.
I spent an enjoyable two hours exploring and viewing. It was fun!

Van Abbemuseum is a modern museum that showcases contemporary and experimental art, installations, and photo exhibitions. The sleek design of the museum adds to its charm. Visitors can purchase tickets online for a fee of 13 units of currency. Free lockers with keys are provided for storing belongings. One exhibit allows visitors to experience the smell of art while others can be touched as well. The galleries are spread across three floors, each displaying different artwork from specific timelines.
Really interesting museum. Vast of modern arts, interactive art works (for instance you can smell the atmosphere of the art, movies inside the building…) showing the problems and questions from present times, going systematically from the first ground about 1920 and continued by upper grounds over the Cold War to the climate change issues and causes. It was really interesting, I am glad that I have visited it.

This was my first art museum, and it was quite fun and interesting. Tickets cost €13 and I booked online. They have free lockers with key for your belongings so that was helpful. I really enjoyed the exhibit where you could “smell” the art. This museum allows you to touch certain exhibits. We spent 3 hours here, and it was not too busy for a Saturday. Made for a pleasant weekend outing.

Its a great place for you to see modern and contemporary art. I was very impressed and happy to see a lot of politically and socially oriented exhibitions focusing on climate change and discrimination. The building itself is also fascinating and ‘artsy’. Would love to come back again!

It was quite a random visit, but it didn’t disappoint.
I arrived with more than 1h before closing and I was able to see it entirely. I must admit that it was a bit rushed, but still managed to get to the highlights.
There’s a great variety of modern art inside, and even some spots where you can get a view of the Dommel.
It wasn’t that crowded also.

One of the best Dutch modern and contemporary art museums. The exhibitions are superbly staged, carefully curated and with a modern and interactive leaning. I just have one full day in Eindhoven and I am the type of person that doesn't plan anything when I visit new cities. So what I did is to ask locals and also look at instagram to know which places do tourists go here in Eindhoven. And luckily enough, I came across the Van Abbemuseum which by the looks of the exterior of the building, is really cool. What I love the most about this museum is that it has a whole story that binds all of their artworks together. Also, I was touched when they have the braille system for those who are visually impaired. There were also some cards with scents on it which left my mind blown away because of the accuracy of what is described on that paper. I also loved that they have lockers (which are free) so that your visit would be very convenient. The installations are a must see and I do hope that a lot of people get to visit this museum as I really enjoyed going here. Not gonna lie, there were parts where I can't help but cry because it touched my sentimental heart. I won't spoil which one so better head there and see it yourself!

Very nice museum, with a mix of abstract art, realistic paintings, 3D models. The building itself is also interesting. I have liked the idea of making painting "visible" also for people who can't see: they have created some 3D version of the most important paintings to let blind people touch them and understand the curves of the painting.
There are also temporary expositions, and also that one was interesting but I think it was missing some explanations. It would have been nice to have more informative materials.

Really cool museum. A bit too heavy on woke ideological pieces but still enjoyed the architecture and some of the art. There's a whole section dedicated to shaming the industrialist that founded the museum with tobacco money earned with indentured servant work. I found it funny and ironic that he went through the trouble of spending part of his wealth to open this museum and now is being publicly shamed in it due to the way he made said fortune. Oh, well... There was a very friendly lady in the staff that explained to us how to appreciate the room with scents that accompany each painting, that was really nice!

This place is the best museum I have ever been so far. I strongly recommend you to visit if you’re interested. A must see place for especially architects! The artwork appeals to the 5 senses of human body and tries to create new ones. I am not even talking about the location of the building where the water beats the exterior walls. Popped up glass niches coming out of interiors literally made my day :)

The building is very nice, easy walking around up and down the stairs, but also a funny elevator. The hanging boat was lovely to see from different points. The collection itself was nothing what wasn’t interesting for me or my friend, and we wouldn’t recommend this to see to our friends. Also we didn’t like that strange scent spread through ventilation sort of by design. With a different collection I would definitely visit again. But maybe we are just not fans of contemporary art… everyone has their own taste.
St. Catherine's Church is a stunning neo-Gothic Catholic church that was constructed in 1867 and can be found in the heart of Eindhoven. The building features two towers as well as rose windows, which add to its grandeur and beauty. . Catherine's Church, built in 1861-1867, is probably the highlight in the first period of P.J.H. Cuypers' long and fruitful career. It's a three-aisled cruciform basilican church with a three-aisled transept and a choir with an ambulatory and three hexagonal radiating chapels. At the front the church has three connected porches and two differently detailed towers. Its design was based on 13th-century French Gothic churches, especially those of Chartres and Reims.

The Philips Museum is a fascinating exhibition showcasing the evolution of a light-bulb manufacturer into a global electronic conglomerate, focusing on their contributions to music, lighting, health and communications. Visitors can discover the company's history and innovative solutions towards healthcare while enjoying interactive activities for children like treasure hunts. A popular attraction in Eindhoven, this museum offers an engaging journey through time with highlights such as Keith Richards' tape-recorder and an Oscar-winning wide-screen projector.
I really love everything about this museum. Small museum of two floors though so informative that you will feel too involved to skip anything. VR glasses experience was good. Also loved all the range of products that Philips developed over time. You could see for example first product they had designed in the past. You can also get a free audio tour where it explains mostly everything. There is a short film as well at one of the sections. You can hear the history and work experience of few ex Philip employees. I was very lucky to also catch a lecture at 2pm about radio invention which was hell interesting. Applauds for organizing this and explaining the technical details of radio and how the radio frequency worked back in those days. They had a cute cafe near the enterance where if you order a coffee then you get a cookie with Philips shield imprinted on it. Which is such a great cool idea! Also, the bulb is used as a flower vase on the cafe tables which is so creative. LED lights looking like a candle were also fun to see. Thanks to the entire team who organises and maintains this museum. I find the whole experience worth my visit and could happily recommend anyone to visit ❤️

The museum has several tours and videos which are very informative including the early manufacturing workshop (See the photos), their activities during both WW 1 and WW2 and present day scientific feats. There are mini lectures in English and Dutch which are a must. The speaker is fluent in English and the presentation is educational, we loved it. Note, the first lecture starts around 14:30 in English and there two lectures one about TVs and another about radios.
The stuff inside the museum are super polite and nice. Overall a really good time spent and we came out with more knowledge and facts.

This wasn't too far of a walk from Eindhoven Centraal station. The museum pass can be used here. The staff showed the lockers, toilets and then the start of the museum, extremely helpful. Overall the museum gave a nice overview of the company, from the very beginning to the evolution of future state of the organization. Really nice to see how the technology has gotten especially nowadays. This museum should take around 1-3 hours depending on how fast or slow you go!

The great museum is for both parents and kids. you are traveling in time with the history of philips. Also for kids, there is a small game and a prize.

Was really insightful to learn about history of Philips and its breakthrough milestones. The museum features an activity for kids so that they have a goal throughout the journey. Both nostalgic and high-tech interactive experiences!

I was impressed with it. Marketeers and communication folks will love it as it shows how a brand and a company can grow while been socially sustainable. I would recommend getting a museumkaart as it is quite expensive to enter without it.

Had a good museum experience here yesterday. We bought tickets on the door, which were a good price for the amount of time spent there and extent of information shown.
Really interesting to hear about the history of Philips, the breadth of products and impact on technology and city of Eindhoven.
Spent between 2-3 hours here, probably read most of the information boards but there were more audio and video interactions that we did not do, and there appeared to be a lot of children activities that we did not partake in; so more time could have been indulged here.
Definately worth a visit!

A "must see" museum if you are in Eindhoven, kind English speaking staff, nicely elaborated descriptions of the exhibits also in English, many interesting exhibits inside, even the children were excited, you can easily spend 2 hours inside, the toilets, hangers for clothes, and even small cafe available, children can do a quiz using a torch and you can also find many interactive panels there, the old Philips electronics was amazing, I like to remember those times, Cons: the part with hand-works is only for reservation

A museum showing the history of the Philips company. Philips is a huge part of the Eindhoven culture, and the several companies split from Philips is one of the main drivers of Eindhoven’s popularity. However, the museum was quite short and I didn’t feel like I could get a sense of the company’s history. There were a lot of children attractions if you are into that.

The museum tells the story of the Philips company from its founding in 1891 by Gerard and Frederik Philips through to the present day where it's known for medical equipment, consumer electronics and home appliances and yes, light bulbs.
Lots to see and movies to watch, most of it in Dutch with English captions. So much history of this massive conglomerate company! There is of course a gift shop and I picked up a new fridge magnet.

The Philips Museum was well worth the visit and an education regarding the company's history in Eindhoven. Well worth a visit.

I really enjoyed this museum. I really didn’t know much about the Philips history, just their appliances 🙃 The information that is presented is very well structured. I spent much more time than I thought I would here, and that says a lot. I highly recommend you visit this museum while in Eindhoven. I’m pretty sure you will not regret it.

Are you ready to geek out on some serious science and technology history? Then get ready to plug in and power up at the Philips Museum in Eindhoven, the ultimate destination for all things Philips. The reason why I brought my kids along for a positively electric time!
This museum is an electrifying experience that will shock and awe you with its displays and exhibits. From the Evolution of Light exhibit to the Philips Research Lab, you'll be positively charged with excitement as you explore the fascinating history of this pioneering electronics company.
Oh, my techies-in-training kiddos love learning about the groundbreaking technologies that Philips has developed over the years, from X-ray tubes to cassette tapes to LED lighting systems.
But let's be real here, it's not just my kids who had a good time. As an adult, I appreciate the museum's attention to detail and its fascinating look at the history of Philips.
I can assure you, this isn't your typical boring museum experience. The Philips Museum has a quirky, playful side too, with exhibits like the Philips Design Studio, which showcases the company's coolest product designs over the years. Plus, there's plenty of interactive fun for kids (and kids at heart) with hands-on exhibits that will keep everyone entertained for hours.
I hope this review captures the fun and excitement of the Philips Museum while also giving you a taste of its fascinating history and innovative exhibits.
Very fun place for kids! It is quite big, with outside and inside playgrounds. There are multiple areas and lots of table options located in different halls/rooms, so you can be closest to the playground most appropriate for the age of the child.
We loved the QR ordering system! So convenient, just scan a QR code at yoir table, order and pay on your phone and food and drinks get delivered to you table! Very easy. You can also order at one of the two bars as well, so no problem if you don't have a smart phone.
Kids enter free after 5pm at the moment, if you are just popping in for some food. And the place closes at 7pm.
Food was fine. Nothing too special, but my husband did enjoyed his spare ribs and the menu is pretty big with snacking options. I had fish and chips, our child had a boiled sausage, which we preferred much more to the deep fried ones. Plenty of drink options, including wine and beer. :)
Everyone who works here is friendly and approachable.
We enjoyed our evening stop and definitely recommend this place to other families with children. Kids can be entertained here for hours. There is even an arts and crafts room, which we saw, but it closes at 5pm.
Fun place! We will be back.

The kids enjoy here very much. We always be here 2-3 times per month. There are different playgrounds. And the food is delicious for kids. The staff is warm hearted.

Of all the different play areas in the Netherlands (monkey town,Avontura, etc) this is one of the best. There is a small water area but I would call to see if it’s open, don’t just assume. It’s got a huge soft play area inside and lots of room outside too. The downside with these kinds of things is the menu and the personnel. The children’s menu is what you see everywhere, white bread, processed meat by-products, no fibres, sugar and cheese. The personnel is very young which keeps the company costs down but some of them are absolutely clueless, no manners, having said that they have to start somewhere. Overall still 4/5 stars because my daughter was happy here and it’s got plenty to offer for kids.

Great place for families & children of all ages. There are foot peddle trains, multiple indoor & outdoor playland with splash pad, & crafting hour. Also paintball, laser tag, & putt putt golf. Great place to spend the day as they also have a Cafe.

Nice place to have kinderfeest, but for the kids older than 7 will be less attractive. Food is not nice, in the package they only got very small pack of friets, and very soft, not well fried

The place is very fun for children, lots of options for safe play, so a good opportunity for parents to relax. Also, there are plenty of options for food and drinks, reasonably priced.
The only thing is that every time we went it was quite crowded and loud, even on week days. So if you're thinking you can work while your kid plays, it may not be ideal.
Only walked around it but you can see why you'd want to have events and weddings here, it's pretty lovely.

A very nice hidden away place where you can enjoy music on a warm Sunday afternoon. Absolutely lovely area, lots of green, the castle surrounded by water, with an authentic bridge leading up to it. As far as I understand there is a restaurant running here and it is a very nice spot for a marriage ceremony or possibly even a wedding. Even though it's busy today, still a peaceful place to be and relax.

Nice medieval castle (from around 1270). In the sevententh century, it fell into neglect. After that, it was restored, so it could shine in the television series of Bassie & Adriaan in 1980.

The Mondriaan House is a contemporary museum that showcases the life and works of Piet Mondrian, a renowned artist from the De Stijl Movement. The establishment is located in his birthplace and offers an intriguing collection of art pieces, activities for children, and informative exhibits on the artist's story. Apart from being able to admire Mondrian's fascinating artworks, visitors can also enjoy watching videos related to his career or participate in coloring activities inspired by his unique style.
Behind the original centuries old façade in gorgeous Amersfoort, is a spacious, modern museum with impressions from mondriaan's life, work and being, through images, objects of and paintings by Mondriaan and other artists.

Absolutely loved this place. Didn’t expect to much from it but knowing it was about Piet Mondriaan I had to go here and visit it. It’s a decently small museum but packs a lot of informative and interesting details about the artists artworks and his life. The two video rooms were also astonishing and well done, had to watch each of those videos at least twice. Very well done visuals and audio. Definitely recommend going to here if you want to have a great and memorable experience.

Small museum in the birthplace of Mondrian, that doesn't exhibit artworks from the painter but it tells about its life. Very nice video installation. Temporary exhibitions are also present. The last room is used for workshops and art activities.

I had very low expectations of this place but was really pleasantly surprised. The exhibitions are in a logical sequence and well labelled and explain much.
The staff are superb and really pleasant and helpful. The building has been well restored and modernised and is within easy access of the rest of Amersfoort centrum.

Mondriaanhuis is an excellent house museum with examples of interior design and artist's work. Several interactive shows create a fun atmosphere. Special thanks to the “try it yourself” location. We tried it. It turns out that Mondrian's work is not as simple as it seems at first glance. Thanks for a great weekend.

The birthplace of, and story + art of Piet Mondriaan. A nice collection of art, story, and activity (for kids) in this museum. A great visit for 1-2 hours. It was nice that some art of another artist was displayed as well.
My daughter really enjoyed the video room, and coloring in the style of Mondriaan after the art collection!
Centered in the city so easy to go for lunch or shopping afterwards. All in all definitely a recommendation from me of this house, focussed on the life of such a important person for "the style" Movement.

I like this museum. They have very goood exhibition about Piet Mondrian’s life and awesome cinema room on the top floor, I liked it a lot! There is a cafe and small souvenir shop with nice things. I wish they have more information about ideas that he expressed in his art. It’s free with museumcard.

Quick overview of Mondrian's work, from begining until his death.
During week day was quite empty.
There are quite some stairs, but i didn't pay attention of there's also an elevator. Good to check if you need any accessibility help.
This museum accepts museum card.

It had some other atrists works as well. Nice experience but a bit on the smaller side for a museum.
Museum Flehite is an intriguing museum located in three medieval houses that offers a rich collection of themed artifacts and artwork, along with temporary exhibitions. The museum focuses on the history of Amersfoort, making it an ideal destination for those interested in Dutch history. Its architectural beauty both inside and out makes it an aesthetically pleasing place to visit. With a wide variety of historical items on display, Museum Flehite provides visitors with a fascinating insight into the cultural heritage of this city.
It is a nice museum to visit and has many paints. It has neatly presented the exhibits with great designs. But the descriptions are in Dutch. So it is better to use your phone to translate to your language. If you are not fan of drawings, this is not recommended

All about Mathias Withoos, something new from me.
The only problem was that there were no explanations in English only in Dutch.
Thanks God,a visitor who was kind explained me about the family Withoos and their way of seeing the nature then in 17 th centery and later by Hans ,1962.
Nature as an unit, life is ours only temporary, all you have today tomorrow could be dust,,,themes of painting.
The video from the end it's interesting also,to see how technology today, can change the reality in art.

Its a nice local museum. They have a changing exhibition every now and then. I can advise you to check which exhibition is and if its to your interest. their permanent exhibition is about the city in the past and is mainly fun for old locals. as a tourist it can be nice to see how the city has changed.
Advice for the museum, maybe its possible to change the permanent exhibition to make it a bit more interesting and advanced for all.
