Stunning place for a museum. When I visited there was no exhibition at the moment.

Worth a visit. Stunning view, nice exhibitions and amazingly decorated rooms. If you want to chill from the haste of the city this is where you need to go.
Murat Aydin — Google review
The concept of the museum is "disappointment". It is not worth to see it. Dont try to even think about visiting.
Ethem Yılmaz — Google review
The location is very nice. However ask yourself the question if you want to take the effort to go there as Conference hall, exhibition rooms and library were closed. You can visit the depot and another room as well as the shop.
Personally I was quite disappointed as I missed structure. The 'mask'exhibition was nice but the rest of the display was a mixture of student works, litho's, carpets and pillows. Not something to get extited about.
Working with shamanism all my life, I hoped to find a better connection between the exposed art and the art of healing. Beside a few prints of shahmaran and a few works of art with a little deeper meaning I missed any connection with the story as promoted on their website.

Nestled in a mountain valley, this picturesque lake features a quaint village with hotels & shops.
It was magical covered in snow with snow falling though it must be a totally different vibe in summers.

We went at the end of November and it was quite and the weather cold. We stayed all the day their.
Nice spot for relaxing and enjoying the weather and view in restaurants & coffee shops around the lake.
Ebrahim Al Hulaibi — Google review
Spectacular view from up hill, however few busy restaurant(s)/cafe(s).
View from observation deck is closer and different.
Many restaurants and cafes in the city, many activities, market and a lovely waterfall.
On the way, we stopped at turkish delights factory (very good sweets, spices and some skin care products), knives shop, tea factory, silver ornaments store; all of very good quality and reasonable prices.

Beautiful and amazing place . Outstanding nature…but very dirty no management and Shopkeepers, sellers and cafe owners are unfair we had a cup of tea for 20tl that usually is 6 tl. Government should pay attention to this amazing lake and don’t leave it on gods hands only.

Great view and very nice weather. You need to book an appartment and prepare all your needs from outside the area because every thing is very very expensive. You dont expect a good service also. I think the place needs to be observed much better by the authorities and government.
Restaurants , shops, coffee shops, services, car rentals, taxis...etc are very gready and opportunestic. I haven't seen such greadiness in any other place in the world.
Hayder Abdulilah Abdulrahman — Google review
Simply breathtaking. A must visit when in Northern Türkiye. A photographer’s paradise. The observation deck can be reached via winding stairs through beautiful scenery (after huffing and puffing the way up), or by car on the other side of the mountain.
Maath Shadid — Google review
I think this is one of the overrated places. Maybe is beauty during summer and definitely not in the winter. Whoever wanna visit, please avoid during winter time. It is a bit difficult to get there, hence i join the tour. Is around one hour + away from Trabzon city centre. Spend a day trip also not too bad, unless you have many things to do, then overnight can be an ideal. During winter almost 85% shop is close. But there is theme park and some others things you could do during non winter time. View from the top deck is a bit far, then walking around the lake is pretty. Wanted visit to mosque, but it was close at that time. The cutest things i discover is their cinema beside the lake, however also close during winter. There are many shop, hotel, and restaurant surrounded this lake.

Not too much culture but the area is beautiful. It’s apparently become very touristy and traffic can be hectic in the weekends. It is recommend to come during the week if possible
Andy Andersen — Google review
Uzungöl beautiful place but it’s become very hectic and takes a long time to get any where … beauty of the lake is diminished by way too many shops and restaurants… topped up by thuggish behaviours from shops and inflated prices …
Saba Restaurant amazing people and good food

It is a very good place for nature lovers , it is magnificent, calm and cold! There are tons of restaurants and cafes with medium quality food ( not very tasty) , I recommend some snacks like corn and potatoes etc
iima 04 — Google review
If you're visiting Trabzon, do book a tour to Uzungol Lake. It's magical in winter. If you can picture a Christmas village in your mind, this is exactly that in reality. Absolutely breathtaking and surreal experience! Many restaurants are accessible in the area so food isn't an issue because not only is the food decent but there's a good variety of options to choose from.

A must-see castle, especially at night. The castle overlooks the city, and sets a mystical view.
Make sure to gaze upon it from the river bridge at the city center, and from the other hill across the castle.

We visited mid June 2023. Lots if free parking and was free to enter.
Information boards outside are in English and Turkish and are very informative. Once inside expect rough ground and overgrown. Outside in the walls are excellent to look at.

Great location but this castle is so so
RAID ABU SAFY — Google review
It is not known when and by whom the castle was built for the first time. The castle was repaired at various times. It was repaired during the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I. Bayburt Castle, one of the first places the Turks captured in Anatolia, was fortified during the Seljuk Dynasty, the Saltuks and Danishmends. II. During the reign of Tuğrul Shah, the son of Kılıçarslan, who was the administrator of Erzurum, the castle underwent the most extensive and fundamental repair against the threats that may come from the Trabzon Empire.

Huge Old historical castle located on top of Bayburt city centre.
Amazing views specialy at night.
Road to the castle quite narrow and zigzag.
No restaurants or cafés shops near the castle serounded.
You have to climb many steps to enter the castle.

Illuminated chambers with dripstone formations & stalactites, viewable from a wooden walkway.
We arrived around 9.30am on a Saturday morning. We had the whole cave to ourselves until we were just about to exit. The sight is stunning. It is nice and cool in the cave. You are permitted to take photos so long as you dont use flash :) It is definitely a place to see. The view on the outside is also beautiful :) food and drinks can be purchased from the kiosks and enjoyed in seating areas.
Cigdem Ozcan — Google review
Beautiful natural cavern, but not worth making a trip for. If it is on your way and you have time, stop by, but the cave is not too big. We expected to spend a few hours there, but the entire stay was only about 30 minutes. The worker selling tickets was very rude and was unwilling to give student prices for those who were clearly school aged children. The pictures show almost the entire cavern, so visit only if you need something to do or really want to see for yourself!

These caves were only opened to the public 30 years ago and are very well organised with guided walkways and lighting. The stalactites and mites were impressive and there was one formations that just looked like a bale of loose silk, quite amazingly beautiful. We had a lunchtime cheese and spinach crepe at one of the eateries leading up to the caves which was a bargain at less than £2 and a wonderful view over the hills.
Marcus Hurley — Google review
Not worth visiting. You’ll enter for five minutes, enjoy the cold, listen to the podcast explaining the formation of the cave. A lot of people come in and there’s a very small space to walk in.
Al Zahra Yahya — Google review
A very long drive if you’re staying around caykara and those areas, about a 3 hour drive to get to the cave. It’s eye opening seeing those formations that took millions of years to form become what they are now. But only downside is that it’s a bit small so within a good 10 minutes you will be more than done with the cave. If you live or you are staying close by it’s worth going to if not it’s not worth driving multiple hours to go to.
Ahmad Alamleh — Google review
As my first cave experience, it was one the most beautiful and wonderul places to visit. Starting with air you breath inside that really feels like a meditation session. You will see really aged stalactites that takes millions of years to form. Caves visits are for sure a to do list for anyone!

The cave was under restoration when we visited, but the man let me and my children walk inside with his accompanied directions. I'm so thankful he let us inside because we have never seen anything like this before! It's such a natural magic scene inside. WOW
Something you can't create by hand only by the natural wonder of the region. Thank you again to the man who directed us inside.

It’s a beautiful cave which I can recommend to everyone who is traveling to Trabzon. We came here with our tour guide during our vacation. The entrance is just 40 lira’s. You get a fantastical view and photo spots inside. Inside, it is 15 degrees during the entire year. It’s very interesting to see this cave and everything around. Nearby, there are shops and small cafes if you’re hungry or if you want to buy souvenirs. Recommended to everyone!!
Bekir Bekdur — Google review
We visited in mid June 2023. 40TL per person to get in. Allow about an hour. Lots of free parking. Some trinket stalls outside and also a couple of restaurants too.
Cave is well lit, safe and information available in Turkish, English and Arabic.
Paul and Karen Blakesley — Google review
Long drive to get to the cave and 40 tl per person to spend less than 10 minutes viewing the very old, 135 million years old, yet the very small cave compared to many other caves I’ve visited. On the plus side you’ll be at a hight of 1547 meters and a beautiful scenery plus to get there from Trabzon you’ll go through the 8th longest tunnel in the world measuring at 14.5 kilometers.

(Translated by Google) A very impressive canyon. Boat tours can be done (and interestingly, they closed it when they didn't want music; generally, tours can be made by being exposed to 150 decibels of music on this type of tour, a special thanks in this respect). You can see old houses and drink coffee with a view of the Euphrates.

Amazing view and easy to reach with just stairs! Officially it's located in Kuzalan national park, park entrance is some 500 m before the waterfall itself on the road. There's a big parking area, WC, souvenir shop and a small cafe, from the entrance you can take a walk to the waterfall by a small path along the main road, but they will charge you some money. If you don't want to pay, drive directly to the waterfall and park there.

(Translated by Google) Can be better. It's been run by the same people for years. The investments made are not enough. Insufficient promotion. I went for the open top pool. Elderly aunts are sitting in their home clothes and accepting guests. It's called a family bathroom, you go for healing, they put something like a zero sejlong on the floor. From there you move to another section where there is something like a bathtub with two steps. We said let's go down to the side of the creek. It's as if they made a primitive, narrow staircase with scrap iron from construction. In fire escape format. Picnic areas are scattered, untidy, not enough. Ask the creek with bare feet coming out of the pool, and the pool coming out of the stream, about hygiene.

But believe me, they are all correct, the hygiene is very bad, but most importantly, the employees are very surly, you cannot get proper information from anyone, they all look dissatisfied, as if they are forced to work. It's a very money oriented place. In a place that makes this much money, the service must be good. Service Very bad. Products are very expensive. Such a beautiful business needs to be run by more professional companies. And the saddest thing is that despite all these bad comments and such bad scores, no one is there. This shows that the company cares about its money. It is definitely not recommended.

Kesinlikle tavsiye edilmez.

Very cool indeed. This is an ancient shopping plaza. Lol. It is 500 years old but now is filled with coffee shops. Good place to sit under the sun and have a soft drink. There are a variety of stores also but all are expensive tourist traps. Worth seeing definitely, but probably not ideal for shopping. May be souvenirs.

There is a very big underground cave and nature park here. Both are a definite must see. The cave is 650 meters long and there are amazing rock formations inside. Nature park has breathtaking views of the land. Admission is very cheap. 9 TL. If you are in the area, this is a must see.

Viewing the formations in the Ballıca Cave is like visiting a natural museum. The age of the cave is nearly 3.4 million years old. Walking in the cave is a mysterious adventure. It is a place where all cave formations can be seen and is a wonder of nature. This cave has not yet even finished its formation.
The Ballıca also helped those suffering from asthma due to its healing air. The oxygen level in the cave is more than the level outside. This is important for people with asthma, who may find the cure here.

A great museum in Çorum that is worth visiting. My Turkish is not that great and I was pleasantly surprised that all information is also written in English. The museum contains many archaeological findings, especially from the Hitites, Assyrians, ancient Greeks and the Romans. The museum contains so many time periods from the bronze age untill the Ottoman period, and it even has a ethnographic hall where you can see how life was in the Çorum province.
The museum is informative, clean, staff is helpful and friendly. When I visit Çorum next time I will come back to the museum.

If you are interested in ancient civilization called hitits, this place is the second must to see place after hattusas. It is a well organized, compact and informative museum. All exhibitions have access for disabled. Museum's cafe is small and not so many drinks and it has also a souvenir shop inside.
Navigation directs you very well and easy to find a parking area around.
The museum also have some exhibitions about Roman empire age, Selçuklu age and recent ottoman age. But they are very limited and not so much informative.
I recommend to visit there before or after hattusas.

While certainly small compared to nearby Hattusha/Boğazkale, Alaca Höyük is still a fascinating place to visit if you're at all interested in history and archaeology. The Sphinx Gate and postern tunnel are especially interesting. To see what valuables were dug up at Alaca Höyük you'll need to visit the Çorum archaeology museum or Ankara's museum of anatolian civilizations as very little was left in the little on-site museum.

Haji Bektash Veli (Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli) (1209 – 1271) was a saint, and philosopher from Khorasan who lived and taught in Anatolia. Not much is known about his origins, but he is revered among Alevis for an Islamic understanding that is esoteric, rational and humanistic. Hacıbektaş Külliyesi (the complex) was built in 13th century as a teqe (dergâh) of the Sufi saint Haji Bektash Veli. His mausoleum is also located in this complex.

The museum's architectural project was inspired by Kalehöyük's own shape and designed like a hill under excavation. The museum, which has a unique architectural structure, has a closed area of 1500 square meters. In addition to the 470 square meter exhibition hall, there is an 830 square meter open exhibition space.

food is average, and can definetally find better. workers do not seem to want to be here. very reasonable prices and a cozy area to relax in the middle of the yonus mall. waffles could be customized by putting your name on them but usually would not have the toppings you'd like, such as kiwi or strawberries. reminded to bring tea multiple times, and the server kept forgetting until the end of our time there. overall a 4/5 experience.
