I visited this place on my day off.
Accordingly, I brought a lot of time with me and used it.
The "waterfalls" were very nice to look at, the nature around is nice for hiking.
However, it was a bit muddy and slippery because it had rained a lot beforehand, so sturdy shoes would have been appropriate.
rurak96 — Google review
A hidden gem. Easy to get to and only a short walk to the top of the waterfall. Our 2 year old loved it. Huge rocks too and a picnic area at the end of the trail. Steps down are large but manageable.

Good idea for a half day trip. Dormain is a really beautiful town with calm athmosphere. Here is a lot of interesting places, chappel, waterfalls, rocks and churches.

Beautiful little stroll through lush green forest, to a cute little waterfall. Kids loved playing around the top of the waterfall.

Another beautiful waterfall. I remember a poster of this exact same waterfall was in the wall of my childhood room when I was younger. Pleased to be here in reality.

A surprisingly beautiful spot in an otherwise unremarkable town. Kids enjoyed playing in the shallows and walking a fairly steep gorge path overlooking the stream and trees. We visited in autumn and had great fun picking the sweet chestnuts to take home for Christmas.
Dan Porter — Google review
Totally unexpected treat. Amazing little walk down the side of the waterfall. Bring sensible shoes, the rocks get wet and slippy with some steep drops.
Tim Welsted — Google review
Nice waterfalls. The small falls are nicer than the big one. Both routes are beautiful with small bridges. Nice!!
The sculpture of grotesque heads in the city of Oceanside are a surreal attraction. They were created by Father Adolphe Fouéré, who retired to Rotheneuf after a stroke and carved them into the granite cliffs overlooking the sea. The heads face out towards the ocean and may have been inspired by local legends of pirates.
Beautiful place with great views. The entrance was 5€ and you get a brochure with information on the site, which explains its origin and more of the man behind this work. They have a small gift shop too. You have further information inside and nice wooden benches to rest and enjoy the view. Feel free to take a snack with you. The whole visit can last around 30 minutes. The place offers lovely views of the sea and the surroundings. It wasn’t crowded when I visited, which was during the afternoon.
Alexa Carlos — Google review
A delightful experience, I think that the entrance price of €2.50 is symbolic, this place is really worth visiting. The view is also very beautiful and a big plus is the beach at the foot of the statues. If you are the type of person who doesn't like crowds, this is the ideal place
Sasha — Google review
Sculptures on the rocks. you need to pay 2.5€ / person because the entrance to the rocky beach is 'private'. Note the access is quite steep and if it is raining it could be slippery and dangerous. Lastly, you will not need to spend more than 5' to take some photos, at least this is what I did :)
Stavros Kalapothas — Google review
Well worth a visit. Great views and a good set of rock carvings
Keith Allen — Google review
Just a tiny bit disappointed, the sculptures are just a few and we paid €2.5 each. Really small beach and isn’t much to do once you climbed down. I took some fantastic shots with the dog and that was it. There is a cafe which is really basic, but nice view
Nusynasy S — Google review
Very cool carvings on a very beautiful rocky stretch of coast. Costs €2.50 and we loved it. No bathrooms nearby.
Mike Harms — Google review
We were disappointed with this site. It was very small, we paid 2.50€ for the entrance fee and there was very little information about the history or meaning of the sculptures. We stayed there for about 10 minutes then decided to leave. Lovely views but not the best site to see...
Anika Makvana — Google review
This place is stunning. Best, when tide is low and not to crowded.
Shoes with good grip are recommended!

Beautiful location off the beaten path from St Malo.
A couple of euro entrance fee and very small. Just the one rock that has the Sculptured Rocks on it.
Great views and a very nice area, worth a look if you're in St Malo or nearby but limited to visit as a stand alone day out.
The nearby town has some nice places to get food and drink. There is an expensive terrace restaurant (Benedit) overlooking this

A beautiful beach with oysters and shells. There are rock-cut sculptures that blend in with the overall landscape. Nice place for a short stop.

The Bay of Mont Saint Michel is a picturesque destination that spans both the Breton and Normandy regions. It features exposed shorelines during low tide, extreme tidal variations, and access to an iconic island and abbey. To fully appreciate the bay's natural beauty and avoid unexpected tides, it's recommended to take a tour with an experienced guide. The Mont Saint Michel Abbey is particularly stunning at night when it lights up.
Better to go off season
hamed alharran — Google review
Amazing place to visit. You can see it all in a day. Id advise you stay till night fall to watch the Mont light up. The traffic controlling barrier is an absolute pain (in my opinion if your staying onsite in hotel or campsite you shouldn't have to pay the 6.50 euro a day parking!
Charlene Ardis — Google review
Beautiful site.... Better off season. With a frequency more important than Euro Disney, it gets pretty tight.

We stayed at a motel on-site. Once the tourist buses left about 6 pm we had the island pretty much to ourselves. Plenty of time to explore and no crowds. Beautiful site.

A gothic cathedral and small village built in the middle of a tributary, there is nothing like it. It's simply breath taking when you first exit the shuttle and see it up close!

Mont Saint-Michel
Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
Small, inhabited island with 11th-century, Romanesque abbey & the highest tides in Europe.
A must visit place. I recommend the guided tour with 11 Euro, but you need to reserve it through their official website. Otherwise, you can also reserve an audio-guided ticket or just buy it from the ticket office at the entrance . Also, it worth to stay at one of the hotels at the Saint Michel area. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The main attraction is old Abbey at the top of mountain. So, there will be a lot of stairs to walk.

What wonderful & magical place to visit.
The walk there is awesome. We spotted Spoonbills & Egrets on the walk.
There is a shuttle to and from there. Lap or handbag size dogs can travel on it too.
Every step anyway you take leads to surprise & wonder.
Restaurants there also.

Our journey to Mont Saint Michel was made even more magical by spending the night at one of the cozy inns nestled within the island's walls. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the abbey and surrounding buildings were bathed in a golden glow, creating a truly unforgettable atmosphere.
Exploring the island at night was an experience like no other. The narrow cobblestone streets were illuminated by the soft glow of lanterns, casting enchanting shadows on the ancient stone walls. With fewer tourists around, we felt like we had the island all to ourselves, free to wander and soak in the quiet beauty of the night.
The abbey itself took on an ethereal quality under the moonlight, its towering spires reaching up to the sky as if reaching for the stars. Inside, the hushed whispers of history seemed to echo through the halls, adding to the sense of mystery and wonder.
And then there was the tide. Watching the sea creep closer under the cover of darkness, only to recede again with the rhythm of the moon, was a sight that filled us with awe and wonder.
Spending the night at Mont Saint Michel was an experience we'll never forget. It's a place where the magic of the past meets the beauty of the present, and where every moment feels like a dream come true.

Amazing place, the fortress is over 1000 years old and is still standing strong. You can either walk to it or take a free shuttle bus from the car park. Inside it’s very authentic and picturesque, filled with little winding streets, full of history. You can walk most of the parts with a pram, but there is also lots of stairs. Lovely views on the fortress walls as well.
Lucy NNN — Google review
Beautiful site. Great scenery. Very touristic but well organized. However, this must be an extremely crowded and a better-to-avoid place during summer holidays. Late autumn, winter, early spring are fine I guess.
Kristian Kolstrup-Jansen — Google review
When you see the place from distance it is breath taking. Also when you enter, you can not stop thinking who had the idea to built it and it seems impossible to understand how they did it 1000 years ago. It is something you will need to see once in your life. Also amazing views from above.
Nicolas Brams — Google review
Impressive structure. It’s alway busy so plan your trip early or late in the day. Don’t need a guide just visit the structure yourself. Tickets for cathedral cost €11,- You can buy them on the scene. Age under 26 is free of charge. Overlooking the ocean is awesome. Really worth the visit.
Jurgen Hesselink — Google review
We spent 3 hours at the Mont and made it to the top... but it is a lot of stairs up and down when you are there and even more in the Abbey. We could have spent longer, but we were on a schedule. It is one of those places that you have to see to understand and get the picture of how people had to live here.
My suggestion is to be there at opening. We were there at opening and had a great parking spot and caught the second shuttle, so the wait was very short. As we were leaving, 3 hours later, there were so many people coming up that it was difficult to get down the "ramp" through the shops and to the exit gate.
This would be an extremely difficult place to visit with kids who need strollers and aren't used to climbing stairs. Parents need to be prepared to carry their kids, if they get tired.
We had our tickets when we got there and it made it really easy. We were moved in the abbey entrance into the building, and people without tickets had to go wait in another area to purchase their tickets.
The bathrooms at the visitor center near the shuttle loading entrance are free and nice. The people T the visitor center can also give you your map and Abbey ticket too, which will make it much faster when you get to the Mont.
Kirsten Barnes — Google review
Incredible even in the rain! Never experienced anything like the labyrinth of churches built amongst churches. The Abbey is well worth a visit.
Spectacular views from the ramparts over the sea and coast.
Make.sure you wander off the main streets to make the most of it- lots of little quiet areas to get away from the vast crouds.
Hannah Rogers — Google review
This is a must see! Tickets should be bought in advance to enter into the Abbey part of the fortress.
Even if you didn’t get tickets to go inside the Abbey, you can walk the entire perimeter of the wall and around the grounds.
There are lots of shops and restaurants on the grounds as well. Crepes, coffee, and lots of souvenirs.
This is well worth the trek out to see it!
A-Aron — Google review
It is one of the most iconic visited sites in all of France!! Not for the faint of heart since the Abbey sits 355' in a medieval village. This was built in the 7th century, so there is very little help for the handicap.
One of the most enjoyable side trips we made in France!
Christine Foster — Google review
Amazing views with such a varied history... A lot to take in, quite accessible but certainly less crowded early in the morning.
Very nice restaurants on the island, with a variety of venues. Tiny, open, various menus and all surrounded by HISTORY.
Many things to consider here. For an abbey to be turned into a prison - makes one wonder at the choices we humans make!
Laine McNeil — Google review
Well worth the visit if you are in the area. Get the free shuttle bus to and from the car park - saves a 40 min walk each way and definitely do a tour of the Abbey. It’s the best thing to do here and it’s a great sight!
Robert O'Brien — Google review
Just go and visit this magnificent Mount with the Abbey in the middle surrounded by little shops and restaurants! The Mont Saint Michel was the inspiration for Disney's Rapunzel (birth) Castle. Parking at about €23 a day, but free shuttle buses going back and forth. Prices are reasonable, and it costs about €13 for adults to enter the Abbey itself.
SS H — Google review
Mont Saint-Michel was beautiful! A tourist attraction indeed, but worth driving for! All stories of history are well-found in this extraordinary town on the edge of Normandy. Again, a lot of people travel to this site to see the spectacular view and old streets. There are lovely souvenir shops and (pricy) restaurants. Worth visiting once in your life! The bus ride across the bridge is free, we took it towards it. However the hike back to the parking spot was also incredible!
Stijn Zaalberg — Google review
Traveled by road to this unique World Heritage Site offering a glimpse into the history with stunning views of ocean surrounding it. Perhaps it was winter so the crowds were thin but nonetheless a mesmerizing view. Had a chance to witness live choir. Memorable.
Puneet Ghai — Google review
Stairs. Steps. Stunning Beauty. This is one of those locations that’s a must see, bucket, list item. We had the fortune of being able to stay on the island overnight, which is recommended if you can make it. So much to see and say about the area. Yes, the main drag is a gauntlet of various shop, selling candies and toys and knickknacks. No, the restaurants are not the greatest of cuisine, but the food is passable. The star, however, is the Abbey and surrounding buildings.
Hard to put towards how beautiful this is. The architecture and the various rooms you see tour or each unique and are breathtaking. By my account it took 650 steps from the bottom of the town to get to the very highest point of the Abbey. There are a couple of roots depending on whether you like stairs or rather take slanted ramps. Either way find your way up there. If you can buy tickets in advance, I would recommend it. Would also recommend being there first thing in the morning nine 930, or later in the evening, to avoid the true crush of crowds, this site not to be missed and something unique on the entire planet
Roman — Google review
Amazing experience to visit Mont Saint-Michel. Walking thru the town and the abbey is well worth the visit.
There are several walking routes you can take up to the abbey, but I would recommend the main road up from the tourism office for a more direct less stairs approach. For those who want a better scenic view, I would recommend taking the stairs up to the castle wall and walking along the outer wall path.
Hao Cheng — Google review
Very very impressive place it blew my mind. It is quite touristy and a little pricey (the car park is very very expensive for campers, and i didnt feel like the museums were worth the money, they're very outdated ) but I couldnt help but keep thinking how they built this place as its just too beautiful. Love that they allow dogs and the children enjoyed it
Bekki Hughes — Google review
Mont Saint Michel is truly a sight to behold, with its charming islet and captivating abbey perched atop. I highly recommend purchasing a ticket to explore the abbey, as it offers an enriching experience with panoramic views.
However, it's important to note that prices within Mont Saint Michel can be a bit higher than expected. While the experience is definitely worth it, visitors should budget accordingly for meals and souvenirs.
Moreover, it's wise to look for accommodations outside Mont Saint Michel's walls. Reviews suggest that hotels within the area may not provide satisfactory service, so staying in nearby towns might offer a better experience.
Overall, Mont Saint Michel is a must-see destination for its beauty and historical significance. Just keep in mind the pricing and accommodation considerations to make the most of your visit.

This is a fantastic place to visit. Be prepared for a lot of stairs. Bring your camera. You must park pretty far out, you can walk 40 minutes or take a shuttle bus. Once at the castle there are shops and you can buy tickets up in the castle.
Robert Forrester — Google review
Excellent park and ride system but a little bit expensive (17euro ).
Being a major attraction you'll find the usual tat and over prices.
Entry to the monetary (13 euro ) but well worth it.
Be prepared for huge crowds of people.
Porte de l'Avancée is one of the three grand doors marking the main street at Mont Saint Michel. The castle doesn't require tickets for entry, but you'll need them to access the top for a breathtaking view and to visit the current exhibition celebrating its 1000-year anniversary. While there are plenty of steps, free toilets are available inside the exhibition area, or you can use paid facilities at the entrance.
Mont Saint Michel is an amazing place. You don't need tickets to enter the castle, but you will need to tickets to get to the top - the view is amazing and well worth it. There's also a current exhibition for the 1000 year anniversary. Plenty of steps, free toilets inside the exhibition area or you will have to pay 1 Euro at the front. There's a free bus shuttle to take you from the visitors centre or you can walk, which takes about 30-35mins.

I have to say my experience at these Toilets was very appalling. My reason being that the Lady running it charged 2 Euros for me to excrete my bodily fluids. Anyways there was another Woman working there who looked like she was at the lowest point in her life even lower than the Mariana Trench (for those who have been living under a rock the Mariana Trench is the deepest underwater trench in the world). Anyways, back to the story, as I entered the sanctuary of the Mont Saint Michael bathrooms a very pungent smell came about my nostrils. To my disgust I found large splats of diarrhoea smelted across the walls (my best assumption was the Charging lady from the start as her face looked as red as my little boys cherries). Anyways, my experience at the Toilets was not only pungent and disgusting it was filling me with gratitude to the fact that back in the Brexit geezer land of the UK we have access to free toilets. - infinity/

Corps de Garde des Bourgeo, 50170 Le Mont-Saint-Michel, France
Zoo with open-air & indoor enclosures of alligators, crocodiles, snakes, lizards & giant tortoises.
A really cool experience for reptile lovers with all kinds of animals, all displayed in a very creative and interesting way. There are two possible eating and toilet-break spots along the visit, which is nice, because the heat from the reptile habitats is quite exhausting. The souvenir shop is also well priced and varied. The visit was overall amazing, would definitly recommend!
Ben's Channel — Google review
Amazing place to see alligators had a brilliant day out with the family, shame the drink/ice cream stands were not open and had to wait till we got to the end but it was ok
Charlotte Read — Google review
The Alligators were a bit steady and didnt really move, the enclosure was good though. The extensive reptile house was the star of the show for me with lots of reptiles that actually moved and a live feeding of snakes (food was dead mice) tortoises were great to although at times a little x-rated!!! Great afternoon spent here. Highly recomend!!!

As a country living partly from tourism, you would expect some form of English would be spoken and understood or that the signs would all have translations on them, but they don't. If you asked questions at the checkout, all you get "no english" is not great, and I'm not the only one who thinks that loads of English speaking tourists were disappointed. The park itself was great, but the fact that I didn't understand most of it makes me give only 1 star.

Nice park with lots (and lots) of turtles, snakes, lizards and crocodiles. Great play area for the kids
Bjorn Coopman — Google review
An interesting spot specially for kids but the open cage (or it’s called a farm?) looks bit too small for alligators and it stinks. Not a good spot in a very warm day!
rainypraha — Google review
It's ok, maybe it was because I was here in February 2023.... It was warm outside but all the turtle's where inside ....The alligators where ok aswell ... I can recommend a visit if you have children....I paid 60€ for 4 children and 2 Adults, I think it was ok considering the Animals must be fed .

Brilliant find whilst staying nearby. We spent ages in there learning loads about various reptiles. The whole place is very well laid out and you can actually get in with the HUGE tortoises if you're inclined.

A return journey to the land of the alligator and crocodile. Good clean family activity. Entry is reasonable (over 13 is 15 euro pp) good for a couple of hours at least and cover if wet. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful place to visit and suitable for all ages. Information is provided in French and English. Being able to watch the animals being fed is fantastic.
All the animals looked well cared for and content.
There was a lovely little area for a coffee and the gift shop was reasonably priced with lots of lovely items.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Mandie Jarvis — Google review
Gets to crowded especially at feeding time, so basically you miss it unless your at the front. Lots of different species of reptiles/ cross/ snakes / turtles. Overall it's OK to visit but a little pricey. They should do a family ticket for maybe 40e instead of the 75e it cost for 5, even though 2 were under 16. When did children become adults at 12 🤬. Approx 2 hours is plenty.
craig harris — Google review
Fantastic experience for the family. €50 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Can take your time going around and there’s plenty to see. The snakes and other reptiles were all moving around in the enclosures as it was feeding time. There is an outdoor play area as well with picnic benches. The food area was closed when we were there which was a bit of a disappointment, but if you bring your own snacks this isn’t a problem. Definitely worth a visit!
Michelle Clifford — Google review
If you're on the way to or from Mont St. Michel be sure to make a pit-stop at this park. Beautiful tortoises, snakes, "dragons" and alligators. There is also the possibility to touch some of the bigger tortoises. I don't think the same goes for the alligators. :)
There's an indoor and an outdoor playground, and also a shop at the exit.

We went cockling on this beach and found dozens of palourdes of legal size. Best dinner we had while camping in France and a very fun activity. Make sure you look up the tides and leave the beach earky enough, we were told by locals to start walking back (30 min walk) to the streets one hour before the lowest water.

Good carts and instructions
Rural center with rides for adults & children, plus water slides, a petting zoo & a 7D cinema.
Nice park for kids. Not a huge park but there aren't long queues for the rides. You can take you own picnic or buy something at the on site restaurant. Ice creams too.

Great day out for everyone, plenty of rides/activities with good facilities all at a reasonable price.👍🙂

Great place which is fun for all the family. Set in the country side, it is hidden away with a lovely forrest surrounding it. You can touch chicks, rabbits, ducklings and pigs in the farm. Then get a taste for the 7D studio and some hair raising white knuckle attractions. A great day out for all the family! It's recommended to take lunch with you and picnic where you park. There is food inside but of course it is expensive.
If it is a lovely day, you can take your swimming costumes as there is a wet play area with water slides! As well as mini golf with some Peacocks next to it.
In my opinion, it is better to go later in the afternoon as there are less people with shorter queues. If you are a family with very young children, there is a train that takes you around the parc. You can put folded pushchairs on it too.

My kids had a blast! Would 100% recommend this place. Rides are controlled by height and as long as you are over 0.95m kids can get involved. Really good value for money on entry, and cost of food & snacks whilst in the park. Also plenty of spaces to sit down for a picnic
Andy Flynn — Google review
it's OK, but more geared for novice or smaller children. Not everything is functioning as it should. eg the 7D cinema should not be called 7D as it dies not have the smells. If you come later in the day you also loose the raindrop sensation, etc.
It's highly advisable to book on-line first
Food etc is reasonably priced

What a lovely park, we had a great day out!. Definitely as others have said there is something for all ages. Clean and tidy, nice selection of food and snacks! Friendly staff, just a great day all round! Well done Ange Michel we will be back!

Been visiting Ange Michel for many years. Always something new each year. We really love the new 7D cinema. If you live locally or are going to visit more than twice, get the annual pass.

Cobac Parc is a family-friendly amusement park that offers a variety of attractions for both kids and adults. The park features water slides, kiddie attractions, and a separate aqua park. It's an ideal destination for families with children aged 12 and younger. Visitors can enjoy the water slides without long queues, as well as plenty of sun lounges to relax on. Additionally, there are changing cubicles and lockers available for convenience.
Great for 12 and younger children, and for the adults! Lovely and quiet on a Wednesday in April, good value. 6 hours at the park and was never stuck for things to do. More an advanced playground with a few rides than a full blown theme park.
Rob Mitchell — Google review
Small entertainment park with attractions for small children + seperate aqua park! You can have entrance for both parks or seperate. Attractions are ideal when you want your child to get familiar with attractions. Close to Saint Malo (30 minutes drive).
You can buy lunch on the spot or bring your pic-nic!
Pieter Van Wijnendaele — Google review
Decent selection of rides for maybe around 4 to 11 year olds - check out the height restrictions. We didn't go to the water park, but there were no queues when we went. Very good overall. Our kids really enjoyed it.
Patrick O'Dwyer — Google review
Get there when the gates open at 10.30am.and get tickets in advance online.
Once your in head over to the water park which opens at 11am. We enjoyed all the water slides with no queues, plenty of sun lounges for your stuff so you won't need a locker.

Fantastic parc!! Amazing water slides. We'll definitely return!

Absolutely awesome place. Something for everyone. Train ride for the youngster, rides for older kids, and the water park is out of this world. If only England was hot enough to have one of these!!

We've had a great day at Cobac Parc today and would highly recommend if you're in the area. Our children are are 6, 6 and 9 and it suited us perfectly. The aquapark was brilliant and we spent around 4 hrs total in there, but in the whole park from opening to closing time. For info, the park opens at 10.30 but most of the rides and aquapark open at 11.00. Aquapark has changing cubicles and you can buy a locker (using your bankcard) for €2 plus a €10 returnable deposit.

13th-century castle with 4 circular, turreted towers, tours of richly furnished rooms & gardens.
Such a delight!! Beautiful parkland with enormous mature trees...and a magical castle ramparts and all! Could easily absorb what the guide was conveying and magical to wander such a place

It is worth visiting this historic town with the beautiful Gothic style Combourg Castle, originally built in the 12th century. The castle can only be visited at certain times via guided tours, as it is occupied by the family who owns it. One can take a walk around the gardens and the exterior of the castle.
Wianelle Briers — Google review
Lovely little parkland, didn’t pay for castle enter just wandered the park and took some photographs. Recommended

Superb castle well worth a visit.
mark hodgson — Google review
The castle is via a guided tour that is around 45mins. The tour is in french, however you do get a brief history via a set of cards about the family and the key rooms.
The grounds are all to grass but worth a walk around.
The guide when we were there was very helpful spoke some English and was able to give a potted translation on the tour.
Keith Allen — Google review
A castle dating with the oldest tower dating from the XII century. Unfortunately our tour was only in French and couldn’t understand much. The guide was very good and nice and quite knowledgeable about the castle and the Chateaubriand history (of course). They have some sheets in different languages in case you don’t speak French as it was our case. Worth the money and the time. Don’t forget to take a walk around the gorgeous gardens!
Rafael Montero — Google review
Very François René de Chateaubriand venue. The famous writer and politician (1768-1848) spent 10 years in his youth there so it's the very must see place for all his fans like me.

Beautiful spot for a walk. Cafe on site too and a gift shop with various items from kids dressing up, to scented candles
James Ison-Stierer — Google review
Picture perfect castle in beautiful grounds. We only paid for the grounds as the tour seemed a bit long for our 2 year old's attention span. Grounds are lovely (though just green, no gardens, but plenty to explore). Horse and trap was offering rides the day we were there, which looked fun. Shop a bit disappointing - kids would have loved something small like a colouring book or pencils but they only had big wooden swords and shields. Coffee good!
Di Jackson — Google review
Nice place, entrance is a bit hidden, reasonable entry fee. The grounds are not huge but a nice walk in good weather. The tour was mainly in french but got the gist.
Chateau with formal gardens, plus zoo, falconry & events, owned by the same family since 1583.
The Zoo is an absolute delight! The animal enclosures are fantastic, and they have regular shows like dog shows and giraffe feedings. The ice creams and refreshments are delicious, and parking is ample. The up-close enclosures with lemurs and various bird species are a real treat. Highly recommended!
Martin Broadhurst — Google review
Exquisite animal park. Very well maintained. Superb display of flying birds of prey. Fairly pricey but excellent value for holders of season tickets. Great place for children.

Great place to take the family and especially the children. Will planned and the animals look well looked after and have plenty of space. The chateau is beautiful with it's surrounding grounds

Travelled with toddler and strolle in October. This is a jack pot! Gorgeous place, good toddler food in a restaurant ( though yeah coffee is expensive but it's understandable, everything else is pretty cheap)
-You can get some special popcorn at the entrance and feed the farm animals( no outside food ). Horseee was demanding the popcorn !:) -They have several playgrounds and a bonus free bouncing castle.though it was wet in the morning so plan to hit that the in afternoon. -Lots of interesting animals to watch, all very well taken care of and with a lot of space for them. Lemurs are so great !!!
-All shows start after 2:30.
-For us we wanted to hit a nap in a stroller and planned to start early, then food, then us walking with him in a stroller, then more stuff. Kiddo was Soo excited that didn't sleep untill 3 so we skipped the nap ;)
Views of the residence is stunning !! Good for adults too.

Very nice and animal friendly zoo, surrounded by beautiful nature . A palace has got an unusual architecture. There is a cafe there and you can also bring your picnic . There is an amusement zone for children . A bit too expensive however : adults - almost 20 euros for a separate visit of zoo or of a palace . 25 euros for both
Hello World — Google review
We enjoyed a great day out as a family of 5 (3 children aged 6, 6 and 9). We didn't visit the chateau, but still had a full day seeing all the animals, watching both shows and playing in the play area. The inflatables were great and our kids had them to themselves for about 20 minutes at the start of the day!
Liz Mildenhall — Google review
Massively over priced. 95 euro entry for a family of 4 and that didn't include entry to the (modest) chateau . Zoo was OK but small with a limited number of species. Cafe was another total rip off , charging 9 euro for a half filled baguette. Only saving grace was the bird display which was pretty good. Overall, very poor value for money - wouldn't go again.
Lee Workman — Google review
This place is really great. Easily spent 6 hours here. Really good value for money. Lots to see and really lovely surroundings in the shadow of the chateau. Highlights were the birds of prey show and walking through the lemur enclosure. There's not many caged animals here, its mostly moated which adds to the enjoyment. Really good children's play area at the back of the park. Would highly recommend. Only slight downside for us was the quality of the food at the snack bar.
Peter Page — Google review
Best zoo experience I've ever had. Zoo is perfect size to wander around with kids for 2-3 hours at least. Contact with the Lemurs was a particular highlight (despite one peeing on me!) Bird show was great and then the kids finished the day having loads of fun on the great bouncy castles.
Take a picnic, as the food is not cheap on site!
Château de Fougères is a 12th-century military fortress situated on an outcrop, offering historical tours and interactive activities for kids. Built strategically on a high rock above the River Nancon, it served as a defense stronghold for the surrounding lands. The castle was initially constructed of wood, destroyed in 1166, and later rebuilt with stone. Visitors can explore the well-preserved castle and its medieval quarter, including Place du Marchix and St Leonards church with breathtaking views.
Very impressive castel, well preserved. There are two big parking areas nearby. The visit can be guided as well, but you need to request it at the front desk. The visit takes about 1h and a half.

It’s a great castle to visit and learn lots from. The entrance fees are attached to my review, check it out (up to April 2024). There was a bit of a queue during the afternoon shift. Consider going earlier or get the tickets in advance. They have brochures in different languages so don’t be afraid to request one. The audio guides are available in different languages too. There was a tour included (in French only). You can take up to 2 hours going around the castle and the towers. I highly recommend visiting if you’re close by. The place is also located in a commercial area so there are restaurants and bars just in front. Plan ahead and enjoy the castle!

Amazing, amazing, amazing castle. One of the best we've ever been to anywhere. The audio guide is great, though it was a bit glitchy from time to time. Lots of intact buildings, so much to explore, and it's a lovely little village surrounding, very much worthwhile wandering around afterwards up to the public gardens near the church. Highly recommend!

My wife picked up a brochure on this chateau and we went to see it on the way to Honfluer. It was set a such a beautiful old world town. It felt like going back many, many centuries. The little shops and restaurants were a treat. We even drank our freshly made lemonade looking at the beautiful castle setting. The castle was fun walking through the open grounds and up the tower spiral staircase. It took time to walk up to the top. Some people were laughing as they tried getting up the staircase to the top. It was worth the effort. The turrets and fortress walls were an enjoyable adventure. It was a beautiful day to go back 1000 years and experience the many centuries of building and destruction that took place. We had a very pleasant side trip to this very special town and castle before heading off to our final destination of Honfluer. I definitely would recommend visiting this wonderful place!

Dramatic, restored medieval castle with several towers displaying relics, history exhibits & art.
This place is super cool. We took a tour and learned all sorts of interesting information. Loved the layers of history. We only had the chance for a quick visit to the castle from the outside. On this years Road Trip through France we've seen lots of castles and fortresses.
This here was another fine castle. Really has the looks of a fairy tale castle. Big and deep moat as well. A small drawbridge brings you across it where you could buy tickets for the visit. Looked really interesting and is something we will do the next time we come around.
But just from outside you can see the different parts and sections of the castle quite well. Even though the entrance itself is small, the gate and the attached twin towers are massive. A statement!
Other tower all around the castle are impressive as well. It's just a fantastic piece of architecture and a sight to behold.
On the plaza in front of the castle you will also find a war memorial, worth checking out.
France has a lot of wonderful castles. In this here is a good example in a wonderful town.

Parc du Thabor in Rennes is a large, landscaped garden with aviaries containing non-native bird species. It's close to the city centre and is a great spot for couples on a romantic break. The gardens feature beautiful roses and an aviary with parrots, doves and songbirds.
Beautiful park with a lot to see. The park has a mix of formal borders and arboretum. There is a bandstand with regular shows over the summer. A Japanese style pagoda birdhouse has cockatiels and lots of other birds while a farmyard area has chickens. Lots of interesting sculptures are dotted around the gardens. And when you say the word Park, better to give it a value: indeed, this park is composed of several spots, including a nice garden with large fountains "Jardin à la Française", a Café, a botanical garden with a diversity of plants and flowers, each named after a celebrity, a playground for kids, a table tennis is also available, and so.
The park can be done in like one or two hours, and you can choose your best spot within, then relax, and spend a couple of hours or the rest of your day; depending on how much you seek nature and relaxation.

You would never find this place without a recommendation, but it is a gorgeous, welcoming little restaurant with delicious crepes. The staff -- which seemed to be a family to me -- were warm, polite, and forgiving that our party did not speak a lick of French. This little back alley (literally) creperie is surrounded by many busier, happening ones (we joked that this area must be "the creperie district"), but Mordelaises is a true gem.

A very interesting and well-preserved historical architectural medieval artifact. It helps the imagination and stimulates interest in the history of Bretagne and France as a whole. The building went on throughout the tenth century. Gate through passage, the remainder of the fortress walls of the city of Rennes. It was the main entrance to Rennes. Named in honor of the city of Mordelles. Mainly served as an entrance for processions. Equipped with a movable bridge, which is preserved. Very essential impression. 6 Rue des Portes Mordelaises, 35000 Rennes, France
Tombe de Merlin, located in the Paimpont forest, is a remodeled neolithic woodland burial site that is believed to be the final resting place of the legendary wizard Merlin. The forest is also associated with figures like the fairy Viviane and the Knights of the Round Table. Visitors can explore various sites related to these famous figures, such as Merlin's tomb, the Fountain of Youth, and the Vale of No Return.
A bit crowded in high season, but overall a great place to visit.
La fontaine de jouvence is just few meters away, you can visit both at the same time
Yaelle Ga — Google review
First off, this is not a French Stonehenge but it is a well worthwhile stop while traveling through the area. Parking is free and caters for a good number of vehicles. There is a forest walk that takes you to the visitors centre experience which is paid for but you can just do the walk and use the toilets.
The stones are set in a wooded glade, some horizontal but many standing.
There were a few people milling around but you can generally find an angle without showing them for pictures.

A beautiful walk to see this historical mythic spot. You can encounter other magical or intriguing sites along the path to see it, including the forest itself. There is a board in English and French describing the lore of Merlin’s stone at the sight. Come with a little gift if you want to make a wish ;)

Don't waste your time and rather visit Dinan or Saint Malo!
A pair of stones and a muddy pound it's what you will find as a Merlin's tomb & youthful fountain 🤣 it's s joke to get it as a touristic place because it's not even conserved & take cared.
I really don't recommend to spend the time to go here.

(Translated by Google) Extremely dangerous with children!!! I wish I had been notified before. And on the way back much earlier than expected, (because there is no safe road) they barely apologize by answering me that it's like that! Simply pathetic!!!
Following your bad response:
I was not warned before leaving, you were wondering if your baby seat was suitable for my son's age (it is written on your site, baby seat from 9 months) but not in relation to the dangerousness of the road, and after watching you said 'no worries' and I in no way insisted, of course, we are talking about my son's safety, I don't think you realize what you say. Especially since after looking at the comments, I'm not the only one complaining about the dangerous circuit where people weren't warned before!!!
In addition, your prices are wrong on your site because I was charged for the rental of the helmets, when preparing your VAE, for my 10-year-old daughter, speed position in 5 with a saddle far too high for her, for its first it is still very professional on your part. Recognize your wrongs, even more lamentable than I thought!!! Teaches to flee absolutely!!!
(Original)

On the other hand, a big downside on the autonomy of the bikes, the course is 35 kilometers long and after 25 kilometers the battery is flat, the entire end of the course was done without electrical assistance, moreover it is the part of the course which has the no more climbs, all that to say. . . taking an electric bike uphill without electric assistance is not great. . . ! In conclusion, the batteries are too small to fulfill their roles over the entire 35 kilometer route. . . ! I have had the opportunity to rent other electric bikes and I have never had this autonomy problem.

(Translated by Google) Honestly disappointing. internship carried out on February 10. Certainly the vehicles are magnificent and the staff welcoming, but we pay for a driving course at a certain price to end up feeling like chain customers. Not even time to take a photo next to the vehicle that the instructor tells you “to the next one” for the price paid I find it deplorable. My friend was constantly being picked up when he wanted to speed up a little... result in the video he drives at 40-80km almost the whole way. On a straight line he was able to push to 120km but straight away it was picked up by the monitor saying that he was going to “trigger the ABS”. You might as well drive on the highway literally in your own car.
In short, disappointed with the service. Customer service to absolutely review.

A wonderful castle in the heart of Chateaubriant. I don’t know if at times you have to pay but I did not have to pay to visit. It’s a really pretty castle to see. Unfortunately, they have something going on when we visited with animation characters spread around the grounds that definitely detracts from the esthetic of the place. Also, when we visited a wall had recently collapsed (mid July 2023) and certain areas were closed to the public. Even with those two negatives I’d still highly recommend a visit.

With all my reviews of French places, please accept that I know far too little about what's normal locally and my language skills are almost nonexistent. So: how amazing is it that attractions like this are free here?! The grounds of this chateau were fun to explore, there were a couple of interior areas to look at, you could go up onto the walls and there was a fab interactive digital history exhibit in French and English. There are so many different ages and styles of building in this one structure. You could probably go around everything in an hour, maybe an hour and a half, so it's not a long visit but well worth it. There is also the town to walk into from here and a lovely waterside park just below the chateau.

Es el lugar perfecto para algunas actividades acuáticas! Es un lugar grande, con muy buen servicio, limpio, las máquinas y estructuras están en muy buen estado.
Puedes consumir cervezas o un buen café en lo que descansas de tus actividades.

Legendia Parc is a must-visit entertainment park in Pays de Retz, offering themed train rides, live shows, and a variety of animals from around the world. The park is particularly enjoyable for families with children or anyone young at heart. With well-cared-for animals and participation in conservation programs, visitors can observe the animals being fed while learning from their caretakers. The beautiful walking trails provide ample shade and lead to stunning natural features like the gorgeous cascade on the blue walk.
Lovely park. Really enjoyed it here. The actors are really good in the "spectacle"

The park looks fresh and modern and the animals are visible in a natural-like environment. Magic storytelling is seamlessly integrated with the tour along the animals. The shows are nice with a decent storyline, surprisingly good acting and nice stages/decors and costumes. A lot of opportunities for picknick. Some playgrounds for the kids would be nice, though. Definitely worth a visit ! We spent a good five hours in the park and didn't get to see everything...

Expensive for what is to be seen
(Probably takes a lot of money to run the park but the cost is too high nevertheless. Not for young children.

Park has a good mix of shows and an engaging storyline that leads you through the different areas. Kids loved all of this. Animals are not the usual crowd pleasers, so don't go there expecting to see lions and tigers. Anyways what the kids liked most were the impressive sized pigs.
Overall the vibe of the place is relaxed and close to wilderness. Take it easy and enjoy.

If you are in the Pays de Retz, Legendia Parc is well worth a visit, particularly if there are children amongst you (or any adults with a child's heart!) The animals are well cared for, and the parc takes part in 2 conservation programs. Do try to see them being fed as you will get the best chance to observe them, and the talks given by their carer are very interesting. The walks are beautiful, with ample shade, making it pleasant on a hot day. The cascade in the blue walk is just gorgeous. We managed to catch 4 out of the 5 shows, with different members of our party preferring different ones. "L'auberge des loups" captivated the children, while I thought"Les corsaires" was a most enjoyable romp. All in all a great day was had by all, complete with a nice meal at the "Ogre bleu". Will definitely return!

A lot of interesting animals but all the shows are not adapted for foreigners and I would like to see some reptiles, more bears.

A heaven of tranquility. The animals are well treated, plenty to drink to eat, sunshine or shade as they wish. I strongly recommend the visit especially with children.
