It is a good area with a lake and some facilities like having picnic and jogging, but garbage around was disappointing. There is also a museum with traditional model houses and mounted animals.

Visited in winter- with snow covered hills, pristine lake - such a peaceful and relaxing place. Came here practically every day when we stayed in the area. We are tourists so of course, we did the touristy thing and had a horse carriage ride. Was a pleasure

Lake Abant is a freshwater lake in Turkey's Bolu Province in northwest Anatolia, formed as a result of a great landslide. The lake lies at an altitude of 1,328 m at a distance of 32 km from the provincial seat of Bolu. It is a vacation and excursion spot for both Turkish and foreign travellers due to the natural environment, forests, and accessibility by car. It is served by a 21 km road. It is three hours' drive from İstanbul and Ankara. Lake Abant is a natural park. The lake covers an area of 1.28 km2 and its deepest spot is 18 m. The lake area has two large hotels in the immediate vicinity of the shores, as well as other amenities and services for visitors, who sometimes alternatively opt for the family guesthouses available in the nearby town of Mudurnu, 18 km to the south.
European black pine, Scots pine, oaks, ashes, hornbeams, willows, junipers, tamarisks, hazels, common medlar, and strawberry trees are among the tree species that make up the lake's woodlands, and there are wild boars, fallow deer, roe deer , red deer, brown bears, wolves, red foxes, jackals, and rabbits in the surrounding forests, which makes the lake a prized location for hunters during the season. The lake is inhabited by the Abant trout Salmo abanticus, a (sub)species of trout which is strictly endemic to this lake only.

If you go in December make sure you wear layers of clothing, it gets very cold. The fresh air and scenery was worth it. We saw some horses on the tracks, you can rent them.

Amazing place for the nature lovers, hiking enthusiasts or for any one who wants some fresh air and serene view. A must to see in Bolu.
If you don't own a car, there is a bus from downtown Bolu that goes directly to the park, make sure to check the bus schedule before taking it.

The Bolu Museum, situated within a cultural center, houses an array of archaeological discoveries, such as ancient artifacts like coins, weapons, and jewelry. Despite its small size, the museum is meticulously maintained and showcases objects spanning from the Neolithic and Bronze Age eras to Bezanytin times. Visitors are encouraged to explore this captivating museum that offers insights into the rich history of Bolu. Notably, the statue of Hermes stands out among its exhibits.

Seven lakes was very beautiful, the hilly area with beautiful trees and curved roads, very exciting for adventurous loving people, willing to go for camping, the amazing nature.

It used to be a great place for camping because of the freedom you had, but it's not like that anymore. Now you can only choose where you'll camp only in the specific places that have already been chosen. And you're not allowed to make a fire for food anymore. I know it's a precaution for any wildfire that can happen but still, It makes the whole camp spirit go away.

It’s a great spot and getaway for the weekend. Enjoy the time in the forest and near the lakes. It has a tiny pier at each lake. You may take marvelous pictures and while soaking in the view and fresh oxygen. You don’t have to take the first parking spot; instead, continue bigger on the right-hand side, slightly lower than the road. You’ll have direct access to the following three lakes, and with a 2-3 min walk, your way ends up at a small restaurant. There arrived, you may have breakfast or a full meal.
All in all, I strongly recommend this park as a weekend getaway and a moment of unwinding yourself!

It took me 12 hours to come and go...there were so many people as we came during national holiday. But if you hunt for pretty pictures, surely this is the place. The toilet are not enough...no close food vendors seen.
Some people camp...and the air is crisp.

Gorgeous setting, even more beautiful during the sunset time. Nice uphill road while driving. A must see when around the area. Entrance with a fee of 105 TL for cars. There’s one restaurant which is rather low quality and overpriced. Best is to bring your own food, take portable chairs and relax next to the water. Not a very big lake, can walk around in 20-25 min. Perfect spot to relax.

It is an artificially built lake 13 kilometers south of Bolu city center. The surface of the lake, whose altitude is 1217 meters, is 4.5 hectares and its circumference is approximately 1300 meters. The lake, surrounded by pine, fir, beech, hornbeam and mixed species of trees, has a magnificent view in all seasons. On the edge of the lake, which is covered with the extraordinary beauty of nature, there is a cute building, which is the "State Guest House" of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Apart from this facility, there is a restaurant, country restaurant, cafeteria, buffet, masjid and bungalow type accommodation facilities around the lake. The lake and its surroundings are protected by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as a "Nature Park". This lake, which is very cute and small, is not accessible by vehicle.Gölcük Nature Park is one of the most important touristic centers of Bolu, which is heavily influenced by visitors to visit, see, relax, take photos, sport angling, bicycle tour and picnic at certain times of the year.

Wooded nature spot that's home to wild bears, wolves & vultures, with hiking paths & mountaineering.
I would recommend this place to be visited to everyone one comes to Ankara, it’s almost 60 mins from the center of Ankara. There are many shops and Thermal hotels at that area. You can spend two days at one of the hotel there and visit this park in day or night. Do not forget to go to the summit of the mountain located at the same road this park. Nice atmosphere especially if you have a family☺️

Pretty nice and quiet and one of few large green places around Ankara. Not quite recommended on weekends as it's usually over crowded, especially when the weather is fine. If you go for a picnic (in case you plan to have a barbecue and you're not vegetarian/vegan), you should definitely pass by the butcher's shop called Bizim Kasap, on the right side of the pavement in the town center of Kızılcahamam. I bet that it's the most delicious lam chops you've ever tasted! Grab your meat and head for the park and enjoy your stay!
Ps. If you like to go for a trail run (which I do), the national park offers you a very nice route, not that recommended for beginners though as it's full sharp up and downhills. One of few nice technical terrain for long trails around Ankara, give it a try and share your experience.

Zoos & Aquariums
Zoos
The Sincan Hayvanat Bahçesi is an urban park that offers enclosures for llamas, flamingos, and peacocks, as well as pathways and a soccer field. It caters to all age groups, providing a range of fascinating sights for both children and adults. Although the grass could benefit from better maintenance, the park boasts a diverse selection of animals that can be freely observed while enjoying a leisurely stroll.
Not only for children, adults will find lots of strange things as well. Happy to be here😘

Average place, this not a zoo. There are animals but they are mainly chickens and ducks. The animals here are rescued from wilderness and put into care. Nice park, good place for a picnic, plenty of parking around the park. Just a park with some simple animals, 2 camels, 1 llama and 1 horse.

I'll never travel to Ankara without this trip planner again
Metromall is a very spacious shopping mall with many international brand stores and a movie theater. It was opened on September 28, 2017 and is the largest and second shopping mall in the Etimesgut region.
Just an immaculate and lovely place! Metromall AVM is a spotless clean AVM in which the concierges are friendly as always. Metromall lays very deeply and close to my dads heart. In fact, every year he'll fly over for a royal visit, espacially for Metromall AVM! I could only give as much stars as there are to offer. My dad thinks that it not only deserves 5 starts, no, because Metromall AVM is thé star of Ankara!

My problem is not money, refund etc. This is the styleless speech of a person in public.

Even though it was the same size, I talked to the store manager and sent me away, saying there was nothing I could do about the issue, show it to another master. If I'm going to show it to another master, why do I pay so much money and buy shoes from Derimod? The METU Science and Technology Museum is located inside the Middle East Technical University campus, and is a great place to learn about science and technology. The museum features exhibits on different areas of science and technology, including war planes, cars, and computers. It's managed by a public university, so it's perfect for kids who want to learn more about these important topics.

The Anitkabir (Ataturk Mausoleum) is a monumental complex located in Ankara, Turkey, that honors the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The imposing monument features an interior courtyard decorated with a beautiful mosaic and is open to the public as a museum. The Changing of the Guard ceremony and the War of Independence Museum are both well worth seeing.
Enter via Akdeniz cd road to avoid a long walk. Possible to drive in as a tourist as well. Its a beautiful place for taking great pictures. I see lots of students visiting the place for their graduation photos. The change of guards were interesting to watch.

Here you will find the real great leader. He is so respected by the people if Turkey. Graduated student will bring their certificate to take photo here. Paying respect. Today I see a ceremony of respect to Ataturk - the great leader. Unfortunately my tour do not allow me enough time to see the museum (you have to spend at least more than an hour to see this Wonder museum). The view is amazing to all directions. I also see the guard changing.

Very clean and interesting to visit, a must see in Ankara. Organisation in the front entrance could have been better (no one told me about the free minibus that can take you up to the main building) and there should be english speakers everywhere if they truly regard this as a top site. Also, to get an audioguide you must have cash and be prepared to wait as the attendant isn't always there...
There are also schoolchildren everywhere and on wreath day (no telling when these coule be) the guards will tell you to stand back and wait until the event is over. No pictures allowed to be taken in certain parts of the museum. The cafe downstairs within the museum doesn't have too many options of both food and seating. Overall a good visit especially with the snow.

This area is Memorial Grave for First President of the Republic of Turkey. This is located in the city name Ankara. It's elegant, and the materials are very authentic. You can see the history of his wearing, weapons for the war, etc here. There is also a mode of changing positions between soldiers. Very nice.

By far the best thing to do in Ankara.
Free entry and a lot of history packed into one place. .A museum area is contained in a series of linked rooms surrounding the main building at ground level which tells history. . A great memorial for one of the greatest leaders of all time

An architecture designed as bigger than usual human scale to illustrate the achievement of Ataturk. Extensive use of travetine as stone for the exterior and interior gives it a timeless feel. Come about 1130 to see the change of guards.

Visiting the tomb of the first and the second presidents of the Republic, a big muniment where built to honor the memory of the nation great leaders and founders .
The place is free, the museum is a must seen and you need to avoid the crowds during the weekends.
The place is visited by hundreds everyday specially with the 100 years anniversary of the republic.
There is a big car parking 🅿️, accessible to the public.
The media center only with Turkish video displays with no subtitles , would be an advantage to have at least an English translation.
The view from there to the City is magnificent and the garden surrounding the tomb monument.

Outstanding!!
The best time to visit this marvelous place is after 3 PM. You need to leave backpacks at the security building at the main gate. Lockers are provided for free. A shuttle runs frequently between the entrance and the monument. Around 3:30 pm, the change of guards ceremony starts from the front stairs. There is a long stretch from there to the main building, which the iconic tomb is, of coarse, the heart of everything.
Museum entrance is free, and I totally recommend to visit it before closing time at 5 pm. There is also a gift shop and a cafe in the museum.
The staff are very professional, and helpful. The whole area is kept extremely clean.
I enjoyed every minute of my experience.

Architectural and historical place, it's a public crowded place but well managed.
They played anthem after some time don't know exactly when but during that everyone stopped with respect and listen to it, and that was a different experience. So quiet and its like time is paused.
On entrance gate they took backpack and stored in a locker.
Surrounding to the location you can see the street shopping places.

No other place in Turkey demonstrates the massive transformation of the country from an Islamic sultanate to a secular Republic, with a war of independence following world war one to massive modernization on the country. We took a taxi to the site as it was nearly an hours walk from the hotel, which we converted to a £3 fare! The mausoleum was a very large but simple building in a huge square and parkland and it was pleasing to see so many people there to pay their respects. There were small museums on the site detailing aspects of the funeral and transportation of Ataturk's body and the whole thing was well done, no pomp or rampant nationalism but a definite sense of pride in his and the country's achievements.

Anıtkabir is a very special place for Turkish people. It holds a lot of sentimental value for the citizen of Turkish Republic. If you are visiting Ankara it should be a place to visit and you will learn a little about the Turkish history and the war of freedom. The museum part inside is okay, it is not too amazing however there are some good pieces. The museum shop closes early so if you are visiting afternoon you might want to check the shop section. During public holidays the place is generally packed, and during weekends it can be crowded too.

It's an interesting place, but there's nothing to do here more than once. The history of Ataturk is more interesting to Turks, no interesting facts were found for me personally.
The territory is large and well maintained. The guard is not the best, in many countries the guard works much more organized and accurate, but you can see.
To be honest, I liked the parrots that settled in the building more, they contrast very sharply.

This is a moment, tomb, and museum for Turkey's founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The monument is spectacular, completed in 1953, but has an olde world ancient feel about it. The location is guarded by soldiers and even has a changing of the guard. I learned so much about who Atatürk was - a very true leader, way ahead of his time, who is a true hero, and continuous source of inspiration. Fantastic location with spectacular views of Ankara, highly recommended!

Anitkabir is a place to feel the pulse of the history of Turkiye and contribution of Kamal Ata Turk and people of the country. The architecture is simply mesmerising and you feel like to be there for long.
The ceremonial change of the guards in intervals is also nice to observe. The Museum is very rich with the historical evidences, photos, drawings, models, documents, artifices, replicas and lot more.
It is important that you have enough time in hand to visit all the halls and premises within the establishment.

A good place to learn about the history of turkey and its independence. It’s dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his contributions to Turkish people. One can take their time off and visit it for a day. It has museums inside which are free so it’s a good place.
There is a small cafe also before entering inside Anıtkabir which is cheap and good one.
For tourists it’s an excellent place to take a good walk and make your lungs breathe fresh air.
It closes at 4 pm so plan accordingly because walking through museums and reading about history will take almost 1-1.5 hours.

The Haci Bayram Mosque is a beautiful and historical mosque that dates back to the 15th century. It is one of Ankara's most popular mosques, and it's worth checking out for its Arabic calligraphy and painted engravings.
Hacı bayram is a good place to visit and pray. Inside of the mosque is beautiful and there is lot of wooden architecture inside the mosque.
The courtyard of the mosque is very big with a view of the Ankara city on one side and Ankara castle on the other side.
Near to Haci bayram there are a lot of souvenir shops and gift shops where you can buy things for you and your family.
If you get tired you can eat there also. It has lot of good restaurants and cafés.

Ulus is typically known to be a more dangerous area of Ankara so definitely be aware of your surroundings. I was approached by a few children begging for money near the hacibayram mosque and when I gave a few lyras, a whole swarm of children surrounded me and kept following me to give them more money. At one point, I had to speeded up my walk as they tugged my shirt and bag. So definitely be careful in the area. Ankara isn’t used to tourists so there will be a few curious faces when they see a foreigner and some will even offer you food out of kindness, just politely decline as much as possible because you never know the intentions of people and they might’ve poisoned it. Other than that, the area was beautiful to see because of the Rocky Mountains and the Ankara castle from afar (you can walk to that too!)

The museum of Anatolian Civilizations is a great place to learn about the ancient history of Turkey and Ankara. It has beautifully curated exhibits containing artefacts from just about every significant archaeological site in Anatolia.
You have to visit this museum if you’re visiting Ankara or even close to it.
The location is also great being very close to the castle so you can visit both on the same day.
The actual museum isn’t very large compared to other museums in turkey but it’s very clean, well organized, items are presented in a nice way, and has a lot of history.

Favorite was the Midas displays (Midas touch) and the artifacts and wall murals from Catalhoyuk which visited prior week (this is a 9,500 year old Neolithic city just south of Konya - still being excavated and had an estimated 20k population). They had some displays on lower level of items found locally just in past couple years - amazing what they are still digging up. Thanks to the staff too for all the great friendly service. Epic. Located in the Ankara Castle the museum is separated by sections, each representing different Anatolian culture, starting from Neolithic Çatalhöyük all the way to the Hellenistic era. I wish only that the Hittite section was bigger.
Probably one of the most interesting sections was with the tablets found in Assyrian trading colonies that show us how the Bronze Age people were no different than us today. Marriage certificates, contracts, letters.
If you are interested in ancient history - a must place to visit.

One of the best museums in Ankara. Based around the collection of one of the greatest Turkish industrialists, you can find everything here from classic cars over steam-driven machinery and airplanes to technology to art to clothing to examples of life and trade in Turkey through the ages. Rahmi Koç Museum Ankara is a scaled down replica of the one in Istanbul. Cars, old radios, old bicycles, you name it. Personally, I consider these two museums one of the best in Europe, in their genre. This museum must be visited. It is located in the vicinity of the historical Ankara Kalesi. Next to the museum is another compact but very good private museum, Erimtan. If you walk 500mt down, you will have the opportunity to visit the crown jewel, Anadolu Medeniyetleri müzesi, (Anatolian Civilizations Muuseum).
I will not explicitly list all item groups displayed at RMK museum, only to mention my favorites:
The smiling Buddha figures collection of late Turkish comedian Zeki Alasya, an exceptional display of small Buddhas, primarily of ivory, and ceramics. I have never encountered a similar collection previously anywhere.
Vintage radios, specifically two models, a Zenith Trans-Oceanic and a National. I have a sentimental connection to these because same models exist at my home, a souvenir of my late father.
Zenith Trans-Oceanic was the royalty of short wave radios. It was manufactured by Zenith Electronics, from 1941 till 1979. During those years Zenith was a USA company, which was purchased by LG Electronics of South Korea in 1999.
Next to RMK Museum, you can enjoy a good coffee and sweets at Divan Patisserie.

There are fewer machines and large transport items. However, the number of items and variety of collections is enormous. It is worth visiting this admirable museum.

It's simply great place to visit - lots of different models and original mechanisms all over the world, you'll find miniaturized ships and planes, rarity cars like Ford T or Messerschmitt KR200, the historical background of the museum building is also affected telling visitors the story of handicrafts in Ottoman Empire. The whole visit could take up to few hours because exposition is quite huge, but it's really worth it.

The Ankara Castle is a renowned tourist attraction in Ankara, located on a rocky hilltop overlooking the city in all directions. The castle was originally built as a military protection and now provides panoramic views of the city. It is also popular among tourists for its architecture and history.
This is so far my favorite place to visit in Ankara. The view was stunning, the area was so well organized, and the buildings inside are well maintained. It truly feels like I'm going back in time to the old era when I got inside this castle. There are plenty of shops and even cafes or restaurants so there are a lot of things to enjoy inside this castle. The hike to the top of castle might be challenging but once you're on top, everything is going to worth your while.

Beautiful view of the city from up here. Most of the best sites to see are within walking distance of the castle, museums, and the Roman archeological site. Spend an afternoon wandering around the old city and explore the alleys.

Its good place to visit and very nice street to view. The perfect and nice place to see the old structure of the turkey specially in Ankara. Narrow streets and best atmosphere. Highly recommended and best part is the nearest cafe and good quality of tea and coffee. Also there are many shoes shop which sell the shoes at wholesale rate.

Very beautiful historical place, it’s the historical city of Ankara before modern times, the castle itself surrounds an entire neighborhoods, the houses inside the castle are very beautiful and well-maintained, many cafes and cultural shops are inside, the castle itself is also beautiful but not well-maintained, it was under-maintained in my opinion and more care can be taken.
Overall it’s a must-do activity to check out the historical area of the castle whenever you find yourself in the city.

Such a wonderful place I went to see in Ankara. You can the city from the top. It does have a breath taking view. When you try to navigate your way to the top try to use google map It is accurate enough to get you there. If you see someone trying to help you It is probably because they will ask for money at the end. Since it is high up it can real cold so wear something warm too.

It is one of the best traditional places to visit in Ankara. Make sure to wear suitable shoes as you might be walking up and down a lot. Also, if you managed to get to the top of the castle, you can see a beautiful view of the whole Ankara. Also you can find plenty of restaurants and a variety of shops on the way to the castle. Totally recommend it.

Its good to take a walk to the top of castle in winter. Place is not that tidy . Options for buying things from localities. Not that expensive though. People are amazing. Be prepared for buying some dry fruits outside the castle as its cheap and of quality.

The best part about the castle is that it gives you the breath taking view of the entire Ankara city. It's a free entry. Heads-up for those who finds difficulty in climbing stairs. But it's worth visiting. Its now surrounded by local gift shops, cafes and shops.

Built in the 7th century. From the top, you can have a nice view of Ankara city.
There are small cafes and shops around it. It's enjoyable to just walk around this area.

A must-visit place if you visit Ankara, truly a trip back in time, walking through its narrow streets, eating in its typical restaurants, and enjoying an incredible and unique experience make it a magical place.
(It is a historical fortification in the city of Ankara, Turkey, built in the 7th century or later. The first fortification of the site was built in the 8th century BC by the Phrygians and rebuilt in 278 BC by the Galatians. The castle was rebuilt or renovated under the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman empires) I really recommend you to go there.

Beautiful place and scenery. The castle is situated in a small village with shops and eateries. They have a tourist information in the grounds and the lady was very helpful and informative. Well worth a visit and there is no charge to enter.

Beautiful place to visit, I’d say this is the best place I had been to so far in the entire city, the views are spectacular not only that the people are more friendly over there, I had great coffee made on coal I recommend everybody to visit if they get a chance to.
The entrance is also free so don’t pay if someone asks you to.

A little refurbished castle with good views. Not a special one, but worth that little climb to get up there.
Hamamönü Sk. is a charming locality that features well-preserved homes from the 1920s and 1930s, which are now occupied by cafes, restaurants, and artist shops. It offers tourists an opportunity to experience the ambiance of an old town. Visitors can indulge in a leisurely break over a Turkish coffee prepared on a sand fire at one of the various cafes available here.

I'll never travel to Ankara without this trip planner again
The Ulucanlar Prison Museum is an interesting and historical place that allows visitors to learn about the history of Ankara prison. It is a former state prison that has been converted into a museum after the renovations carried out by Altindag Municipality. The museum features dark and cold corridors that take visitors through different parts of the prison life, including cells, prisoner barracks, and the administrative area.
Als je in Ankara bent zou ik zeker deze museum bezoeken. De meeste mensen die vast zaten in de gevangenis waren door politieke redenen.

If you are in Ankara I would definitely visit this museum. Most of the people who were imprisoned were for political reasons.

I can definitely say that it is the most impressive museum I have visited in a long time. Even the walls speak to those who can understand.
BusraM — Google review
A weird place to visit but nice nonetheless. You can see and feel how prisoners lived their daily lives there. From the outside, it looks like a lot more prisoners were incarcerated there but from the dormitories, less than 100 convicts were there. The only negative point is that all the information is only in Turkish but Google translate really does wonders.
Danny Quesnel — Google review
Definitely recommend to visit. Cheap, short, but full of emotions.
Eugene Gritsina — Google review
This place is absolutely recommendable. You can feel the pain the people suffered while they had been in prison. Very rarely I had been impressed so much by a museum. The only thing, there are no English explanations... only for those who have no mentally illness or depression. Otherwise it might influence your mood too much that you might not recover so easily
Ci Otto — Google review
A unique experience to see what prison life was like in Turkey where many famous Turkish people serving time here even an old prime minister. There isn't much English explanations but definitely worth a visit just to see.

Prison museums are not that common, and this one didn’t seem like a usual prison to me. Great place for cheap tickets. Would recommend!

The museum and the exhibition is very unique and interesting. Moreover, the museum is quite big actually. The entrance fee is 4 liras for adults and 2 liras for students. There is also a parking lot in front of the museum where you can park your vehicle easily. The only struggle must be the lack of information in English. However still it's a must visit please. The museum will give you a proper image of the Turkish political life.

The Kocatepe Mosque is a monumental mosque in Ankara, Turkey. It can accommodate 24,000 worshippers at one time and has stunning marble interiors, tinted windows and resplendent artwork of its central dome which enchants the visitors. The mosque is located in the Kocatepe district of Ankara and is an important landmark in the city.
My first time when i took my shoes off and get inside into the Mosque, few people praying, very quiet and I had permission to take some pictures and to share with you. If you go to Ankara I will recommend to see the Mosque
The idea of building the Kocatepe Mosque dates back to the 1940s. On December 8, 1944, Ahmet Hamdi Akseki, the Vice-President of Turkish Religious Affairs, along with seventy-two founding members, established a society known as the "Society to Build a Mosque in Yenişehir, Ankara." In 1947 this society called for projects to be drawn up by architects, but none of the submitted projects were accepted. In 1956, through the efforts of the late Adnan Menderes, Prime Minister of the time, land was allocated for the project to build a mosque in Ankara, and a request for projects was made once again in 1957. This time thirty-six projects were evaluated, with the joint project of Vedat Dalokay and Nejat Tekelioğlu being chosen as the one to be implemented.[2]

The Turkish mosques are some of my favourite places in every city.
They are calm, peaceful and quiet.
Kocatepe mosque is the same. The mosque is a stones throw from the food street. We said the maghrib prayer here and heard the azaan and lights turn on
I’d say that’s the best time to arrive there. When the heat of the day is winding down and sun is setting.
There weren’t many people though. We sat outside on the bench for a while and the people going around.
Some stayed there and smoked a cigarette. Some families were just hanging out there. Kids playing.
It was really peaceful.

Visiting Kocatepe Mosque at night was a truly awe-inspiring experience. Despite the darkness, the mosque radiated a majestic beauty that was impossible to ignore. The intricately designed architecture illuminated by soft, ambient lighting created a mesmerizing sight.

Honestly all the masjid in Türkiye are just mind blowing to me since this trip was the first time I’ve been in this country and I wasn’t raised around such grand masjid (I come from Hong Kong). It surprised me so much that to a lot of the locals here, such grand architecture and art in the masjid are so normalised to them since they’re seeing it everyday. As usual, do check when the visiting hours are if you’re non Muslim and they shouldn’t clash with the prayer times held at the mosque.

The Eymir Lake is a beautiful, clean, and narrow lake surrounded by pine trees on the campus of Middle East Technical University. It is great for relaxing and enjoying nature. You are not allowed to enter the park by your private car, only cars with METU stickers can enter. The lake has happy animals which you can rent a bike to ride around or have a picnic inside. There are also many options for walks around the lake with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
So quiet place at night.
You can rent a bike to make a tour around the lack in the morning. There's a restaurant u can order some snacks or food and enjoy eating it with the nice view of the lack.

Ohh how beautiful it is, away from the crowds, you can come with friends, family, or even alone, you can walk, run, ride your bike, which you can borrow there. Beautiful scenery, fresh, clean air.
You'll find animals and birds, and it's definitely worth a visit, especially on a weekend morning.
Othmane Kourame — Google review
Eymir Lake offers a picturesque setting for outdoor activities such as picnics, biking, and walking. However, the lack of proper facilities poses safety concerns for visitors. The absence of dedicated bike trails free from car traffic and sidewalks along the lakefront increases the risk of accidents. It's alarming to see various recreational activities like biking, rollerblading, and walking amidst vehicular traffic.
Moreover, the parking lot's basic soil surface without designated parking areas or pavement further exacerbates safety issues. The absence of separate entrances and exits for vehicles increases the potential for collisions between cars and pedestrians. Maintenance of the area is essential to ensure the safety of visitors, including maintaining separate lanes for bikes and cars to prevent accidents.
Improvements such as installing dedicated bike lanes, constructing proper sidewalks, and upgrading the parking facilities are crucial for enhancing the overall experience and safety of visitors to Eymir Lake. Additionally, providing well-maintained rental bikes would enhance accessibility and enjoyment for all visitors.
Restaurant available facing the lake, but bike parking is outside not guarantee the safety ( cause it rent - how will know if someone have bad intention and just taking the bike)
There's toilet but i can't tell the hygiene or cleanliness looking from outside apprentice kinda shabby. This also need to be maintain as public use. There's no nearby mosque or praying area. No sign for maintain the cleanliness of surround lake/park. Also theres alot stray dog, kinda weary seeing all the dogs in group.
Will be great seeing this place taken care of more, so visitor will have great and safe experience. The place is will be very awesome if all the improvement made.

The lake is beautiful by it's nature and clean air. You aren't allowed to enter the park by your private car. Only the cars with METU sticker are allowed to enter. What I think is that they shouldn't be let in either. Then I will give five stars. In the lake there are happy animals. You can rent a bike and ride around the lake. Also you can have a small picnic inside. Another option is taking a walk around that you will enjoy fresh air and the lake view. A piece of nature in concrete Ankara. I recommend biking rents to cycle around the lake and have breakfast on one of the restaurant located nearby the lake.
Lake Mogan, located in Golbasi near Ankara, is a picturesque natural spot covering approximately 644,000 square meters. The area offers various recreational activities such as picnicking, camping, and fishing. Visitors can also enjoy walking trails and observe endangered waterfowl species. The lake features amenities including picnic tables, campsites, an amphitheater, a wedding hall, playgrounds, and designated walking paths.
I wasn't expecting much from looking at the pictures, but it's a very peaceful, comfortable and beautiful place just 30 minutes away from the bustling city center. There are walking tracks along the lake shore and boat rides. When the weather warms up someday, I'll definitely come back for a boat ride.

Just don't forget, if you order something order than breakfast it will be expensive which is tricky. At the weekends the lake is very crowded. There are many people having picnic around. Entrance to the park by person is free but entrance to the park by your car is not, you have to pay for parking. I recommend you to visit the park if you want to enjoy your time. You can take your own breakfast too.

The Altınköy Açık Hava Müzesi is a great place to visit if you're looking for an outdoor museum with traditional Anatolian houses, craft and agriculture exhibits, and farm animals. The landscape is very calm and moody, so it's best to visit during spring when everything is lush green and fresh. The ticket price is 5 Turkish Lira for adults, so it's a great value for the area.
Amazing Garden , I love Turkish villages , so this place is just wonderful for me , Will orgnized tourist village . every thing there is just like real village . food services are good also with multiple choices and affordable prices, I recommend it for family to enjoy the holidays with their children , entrance fees are so reasonable, the wind mill is so beautiful and the terrace near to it , its on the top of mountain so you can have great view from there

Great place to visit. Very calm and moody place. Better to visit during spring as everything shall be lush green and fresh. I visited during winter but still the landscape was awesome there.
There’s a hanging bridge which is closed for tourists, I guess for maintenance reasons but if it is open it would be of great interest for the visitors.
It is merely a walking distance from the bus station and the neighboring community also blends seamlessly into this landscape.

This is a wonderful place to see great nature, to enjoy a peaceful moment, to see animals (chicken, geese, sheep, goats, deer etc), and buildings - all of which resemble a village of the past. It is a popular place for models and brides to be photographed. There r restaurants at regular intervals so u can refresh yourself. This is a place to come to for the whole afternoon. I love the water- and windmill, the kid's parks, and a long swinging bridge. (Unfortunately, it was closed due to repair when we were there.) The only issue is the menus. Every restaurant sells literally the same unhealthy food. Most are sweets and processed snacks and gözleme, which is OK, but there's little filling and lots of dough. No side dish, salad or fruit available. The selection of drinks is also incredibly weak. No plant-based mylk or vegean snacks.

Really nicely kept outdoor museum of traditional village life. Lots of walking up and down hills but in the pleasant shade of weeping willow trees and the stream running amongst them, it was very enjoyable. Lots of play areas for kids makes it a very family friendly atmosphere. The suspension bridge was closed so we didn't get a chance to go on it, but looks like it would amazing to walk across.

My advice to you is that do NOT go at weekends because it's too crowded. There're some small markets and restaurants but they're a bit expensive also there're some small souvenirs' shops. Good place to make a photo session. You have to buy a ticket to enter the museum, 2tl for students and 7tl for others, if you're a student, you need to show your student card. Also to enter the bridge you have to pay 1tl for students and 2tl for others. There're a mosque,a playground for children and clean WCs.
