This place is beautiful but the entry/exit time sucks. We reached the place at 4:10pm and we're refused to enter but there are few other entry points that requires not so Authorization which I would suggest you can avoid as we have. Rest Place was wonderful, less crowded and picturesque atmosphere. There are pictures which were taken from that other gate which you have to avoid.

Hundru Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Located around 35 km from the city center, it is a popular spot for picnics, day trips, and weekend getaways.
The waterfall is located on the Subarnarekha River and falls from a height of 98 meters. It is a majestic sight to behold, especially during the monsoon season when the water flow is at its peak.
1.The best time to visit Hundru Falls is during the monsoon season (July to September) when the water flow is at its peak.
2. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, as you will need to walk down and up a flight of 750 steps.

You have to walk a long way to reach the waterfalls. The road is Good though and stairs are also there. Water falls can only be seen during rainy seasons. Other time, there is not much water.
Toilets are there and food stalls are also there.
For lunch, you have to order 1hour early, and the hotels will cook your meal.
Overall a good place to travel.
Some adventure sports are also available.

Nice and clean place... breathtaking view..Not safe to swim or play in the water...few places on the way which has refreshments like lemon water, soft drinks and sprouted chana..since it's a no plastic place, the usual snack packets are not available

Good place.....approx 12 km from ranchi railway station. U have to book auto or Ola etc to reach there...bike person's are also there so if u are alone or have one companion then u can book them( they are very cunning make everything clear means money they demand extra money when they drop you in return.I booked the bike for 500 but he took 550 after long conversation so be careful)....Other things are good , you will find some shops there for refreshment ...10 rupy entry fees and 15 for parking .

One of the good falls near Ranchi. You can reach the upper part of the waterfall by walking some distance. To reach the lower part of waterfall, you need to climb down 750 stairs. The steps are not steep, hence the climb is on the easier side. The view is quite good here. There are small shops located around the stairs. So you don't need to carry water or other food items.
Pro tip: In case you want to have lunch and are non-vegetarian, you can choose indigenous chicken and order it before going down in the shops. They will prepare and serve the hot chicken when you come up!
Alok Adi — Google review
Waterfall is beautiful but no other amenities not even proper toilet. No eateries. There are 745 steps but a very easy climb even oldies can do it easily. It's advisable to take the staircase route only the view is best only in this route the locals will suggest you other routes don't take that. We did it in little rain but still it was fine.

Nice place .one time visit.
But remember there are 750 stairs to go down .so have some water before hand.
Splendid view .

I recommend people to visit this place in the month of August when there is the maximum amount of water displacement.
You can have a side view of the falls from the viewpoints which are a little distance from the ticket counter.
To reach the foot of the waterfall you've to climb down approximately 736 stairs. You'll get small shops of snacks at the foot of the waterfalls.

Hundru waterfall is a hour ride from ranchi city centre , on your way to waterfall you have to pass through many tribal villages ,there is an entrance ticket and you have to go down 700 + steps to reach this beautiful spot , adventure enthusiasts can try zip line facility too ,it's a fun activity . whole area around here is covered by jungle , air quality is refreshing . peaceful place to relax and observe wonders of nature .
Anshu Thakur — Google review
Good place to hangout. The journey to get to the waterfall is as interesting as the destination. There are ~750 semi-sloping steps to the waterfall which make it fun for folks to bond over. The waterfalls themselves are pretty impressive (350 ft high). Guess there'd be more volume in the rainy seasons as compared to when I went.
Prudent to carry water bottles on the "climb" (there are small shacks on the way to purchase but you might choose not to based on your hygiene considerations).
Sashank KS — Google review
This is a well known and very famous tourist spot of Jharkhand State. Around 46 kilometers from Ranchi. It is the highest waterfalls of Jharkhand. The view is awesome. You have to go down 750 stairs from the gate to reach the view point. You can also bath in the flowing water of falls. Place surrounded by the beauty of nature. Must visit this place. Just keep sufficient time in hand to spend a quality moment.

One of the best beautiful waterfalls of jharkhand tourism. You have to go through approx 750- 800 stairs to reach there. Food and water available there. There are many shops. There are also many picnic spots. A children's park. A jeep line is also available there for those who want more adventure. Love the place

Amazing view of the waterfall from the viewpoint. The waterfall is created on the course of the Subarnarekha River and known as one of the most popular tourist destinations of the city (Ranchi). The sound of the falling mountain water (320 feet) is just amazing. One has to go down many steps to enjoy its beauty. It is a great holiday destination.

Plunging 322 feet down the Subarnarekha River, Hundru Falls is a majestic gem in Jharkhand, India. Cascading amidst lush forests, it's the 34th highest waterfall in the country, transforming into a breathtaking sight during the monsoon

I visited the place on 17th March,2024.
Waterfall will be viewed after crossing 745 downwards steps, which is a very strainus job for the old aged people.
The Jharkhand Government should give more importance for the beautification of this place.
The scenic beauty of this place will definitely attract the Nature lover.

The Maa Chhinmastike mandir is a stunning Hindu temple located on a hilltop, dedicated to a headless goddess. The vibrant Tantric-style design adds to the beauty of the serene surroundings which are surrounded by mountains and forests. Though there is a small market in the vicinity, queue management needs improvement, and more police personnel are required due to long waiting times that can last up to 3-4 hours.
Incredible place in serene environment.
Peaceful surrounded by mountains and forests. Road is also very nice. There is small market where you do window shopping .
But the only thing is that queue management is not good there . There is need of more police personnel .
If you have planned to go there be prepare for long queue and it will take max to 3 to 4hours. Anyways place is just beautiful and relaxing. Neaby temple you will see confluence of damodar river and bhairavi river which is incredible and so beautiful
Temple is 70 km from ranchi you can take public transport or pvt vehicle.
Jai Maa chhinmasta🙏

As a result of the long queues, I have to wait around 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the queue, but after 4:30 p.m. waiting time is less than an hour. There is no concern for people bypassing queues, since no one pays attention to them so people following queues have to wait longer for worship.
sunil bhaskar — Google review
The queue was long on a Sunday. Perhaps best time to go is after 2 or before 7. Also people do not like to follow queue, and the guards do not monitor the initial line, which was almost 2 hours waiting, so you are on your own. In the end, the darshan was full filling though, worth the 4 hour wait. Spent more than 30 seconds in actual mandir, in front of murti. Jai maa.

Here The Goddes Kali is worshipped as Devi Chinamastika. 📌It attracts a lot of people from Bihar, West Bengal, and neighboring States. It's worth a visit.there is an amazing peace around the temple😇. there are myths which make this temple more mysterious and strange.☢️ Sensitive people need to close their eyes while entering the main temple as the sight of blood on the flooring might disturb them☢️. The kids need to be handled carefully as this place remains crowded throughout the year.❣️

- If you are going from Ranchi, go via Ramgarh route, the roads are awesome except few patches.
- Plenty of parking available there for cars and bikes.
- Take extra clothes if you want to take a dip in the river.
- When we went there, there was not much rush or queue and were able to have darshan in 15 mins.
- Also there are many other temples like Surya Mandir, Ashta Mandir, Durga Mandir , Hanuman Mandir, Shiv Mandir, Krishna mandir and others.
- There are several vegetarian hotels for breakfast/lunch and are clean.
- There is a washroom near the Rajrappa Tourist complex which is neatly maintained.
- Temple is located at scenic place with nearby river, and you can just sit and spend some time or have picnic.
Jai Maa !

Beautiful place for both the spiritual tourists and the nature lovers.
The nature lovers might be a bit irritated in the market area in close proximity of the temple , because that area is a bit chaotic , lots of shops selling puja items , ful of dirt and mud ... But once you cross that area you will get the view of the confluence of Damodar and Bhairavi river which is locally known as Bhera river. One can avail the boat ride which goes very close to the confluence .

Patratu valley is a beautiful valley with wide scenic roads that are very well maintained. They look beautiful in daylight as well as at night time when the radium lit road looks amazing. The roads look beautiful from a drone shot. We didn't have a drone so couldn't take a picture. But nonetheless, the drive looked great. There a dam too, which looked nice blue with lots of boats. We did that too. There is an island to which the boat takes. We went to the island, it is a bit pricey, and i would recommend not booking a motor boat to the island because it is not worth the money. There isn't anything there just, a building structure. Riding on the motor boat was more fun than being on the island. So i would say, instead of going to the island, take 2 boat rides!

Well the area beside the jheel are well organised and well maintained, also semi clean. The best time is in the early morning or in the evening. The jheel is devided in two main parts choti jheel (most happening place) while the other is badi jheel (least happening as compared to choti jheel). You can enjoy paddle boat or stream boat ride on reasonable price. There are also parks and cafeteria around the choti jheel where childrens can enjoy. Also a good place for family and friends. There are so many food stalls where you can enjoy snacks or freshment. The surrounding is so much safe because of officers bunglow around the lake.
You can go through either bike or cars but in my opinion walking is best option. There is so much crowd in weekend or in festive time. Sometime you will also enjoy fishing. Also there is so many types of fishes in the lake.

If you happen to visit this region of Bihar, it's highly recommended that you pay a visit to this beautiful temple - an awe-inspiring spot for any Buddhist pilgrim.
A serene and beautiful place to visit. If you are in Gaya, you must travel to Bodh Gaya, which is about 20kms from Gaya. Because it is worth of it. The Buddhist temple is worth to visit. You will get to learn the history of Lord Goutam buddha, and also about the origin of Buddhism.
The Bodhi Tree, also called the Bodhi Fig Tree or Bo Tree, was a large and ancient sacred fig tree located in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India. Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher who became known as the Buddha, is said to have attained enlightenment or Bodhi circa 500 BCE under it. In religious iconography, the Bodhi Tree is recognizable by its heart-shaped leaves, which are usually prominently displayed.
The proper term "Bodhi Tree" is also applied to existing sacred fig trees, also known as bodhi trees. The foremost example of an existing tree is the Mahabodhi Tree growing at the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, which is often cited as a direct descendant of the original tree. This tree, planted around 250 BCE, is a frequent destination for pilgrims, being the most important of the four main Buddhist pilgrimage sites.
Other holy bodhi trees with great significance in the history of Buddhism are the Anandabodhi Tree at Jetavana in Sravasti in North India and the Sri Maha Bodhi Tree in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Both are also believed to have been propagated from the original Bodhi Tree.

Bodh Gaya is a town in the upper east Indian territory of Bihar. Thought about one of the really Buddhist excursion districts, it's overpowered by the old square Mahabodhi Temple Complex, attempted to stamp the site where the Buddha accomplished light under a heavenly Bodhi Tree.

You must talk to the people over there as monk, they will guide and tell you about its history and its rich legacy. There are various other temples too like lord Jagannath temple and all. One mosque is also there, which depicts about the ethics and values of India which rely on "unity in diversity".Once you get in there, you will never feel like going out. It's my personal experience over there. Hope, you visit and second me for sure. Have a great time. Thank you.

It was lovely to see this tree derived from the ancient tree under which the Buddha gained enlightenment. There were Buddhist monks chanting in large groups under the tree. It felt quite a moving experience. The calm atmosphere here gives you inner peace and rejuvenates one's mind.
The tree you need to see if you are in Bodhgaya. Siddhartha Gautama, aka Shakyamuni Buddha, attained realization under an earlier growth of this tree more than 2500 years ago. A worldwide pilgrimage site. Well maintained, well protected. A must-see.

Walked around and went to the temple of Lord Buddha. We all felt great joy in the Bodhi Tree where Gautam Buddha sat in his peace.Gained knowledge and we all enjoyed a lot here. The temple of Lord Buddha is a very nice idea and the people there are also very nice or the campus is very big where we all roamed together, there were many types of ponds, sparklers, flowers, leaves, trees and plants, there was greenery from all sides. We all enjoyed a lot and while coming back, we also did some shopping here.

Recently, I visited the Bodhgaya temple in Gaya city. I traveled from Tatanagar to Gaya and finally reached Bodhgaya to visit the Mahabodhi temple, where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment. It was a remarkable experience. I had the opportunity to see the Buddhist tree under which he sat and meditated. The serenity of the place was captivating, offering a perfect setting for finding inner peace. During my visit, I dedicated an hour to meditation, immersing myself in the tranquil ambiance. I was not alone in my pursuit of mental serenity; I encountered numerous tourists from diverse backgrounds, including the Philippines, Thailand, China, and Japan, all drawn to this place to meditate and explore their respective cultures.
One of the highlights was the 80-feet Buddha statue located nearby, which added to the spiritual aura of the surroundings. Overall, my experience was truly fulfilling, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. It provided me with an opportunity to disconnect from the chaos of daily life and connect with my inner self. Bodhgaya temple is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking mental peace, cultural enrichment, and spiritual growth.

Presently, some black spots could be seen on the face of Buddha, don’t know why, may be needing some better maintenance. Several souvenir / snacks & ice-cream stalls are available just outside the complex.

I stood in awe before the Great Buddha Statue at Bodhgaya, the early morning sun casting a soft golden glow upon its magnificent form. The sheer size of the statue was overwhelming, and its serene countenance seemed to radiate peace and wisdom.
As I approached closer, I marveled at the intricate details carved into the stone—every fold of the robe, every contour of the face, and every gesture of the hands and feet meticulously sculpted. The craftsmanship was truly exceptional.
The atmosphere was charged with spirituality. Pilgrims from around the world had gathered here, each with their own reverence and purpose. The air was filled with a sense of introspection and reverence. I closed my eyes for a moment, taking in the serenity of the surroundings, and felt a deep connection to the teachings of Buddha.

What can I say that hasn't been said already. Amazing just brilliant of an architecture this statue is.No photos or videos can justify the sherr brilliance of this mammoth. You have to be there is flesh to witness it. I although would suggest you to come here in weekdays and early morning as you wouldn't find any rush. Weekends and even normal evenings bring amazing crowd. Another thing I would recommend is photos. Everyone has a camera in their pocket now but I would suggest you buy atleast one photo of yourself with the statue form photographers there. It may seem foolish to you at the moment as you would be spending money for something you can already do yourself, BUT BELIEVE ME, you would cherish this photo for the rest of your life.

Great Buddha Statue in Bodh Gaya
25 meters tall, it is by far the largest and the first Buddha statue ever built in India. Owing to its huge size, it is quite a star-catcher with not just the pilgrims but every tourist in Bodh Gaya. Located right next to the Mahabodhi Temple, this statue was unveiled in the year 1989 by His Holiness Dalai Lama. Bordered by 10 smaller sculptures of Buddha’s disciples in the passageway leading to the Great Buddha Statue, the entire visual is a breathtaking sight.

the origin and history is mostly based upon mythological and legendry accounts which exists in oral tradition such as it is said that once Lord Vishwakarma was asked to build a temple in one night by lord sun, and lord Vishwakarma built the Deo Sun Temple in one night. The authentic history of the temple and area begins during pala and senua period, the inscription outside the temple dated 1437 record the dedication of temple by king Bhairavendra to Jagannath, his brother Balbhadra and his sister Subhadra beside describing the area and recording list of 12 ancestors of the king Bhairavendra, suggestion that the temple present state due to these local Hindu chieftains who recovered the temple after Muhammad bin Bakhtiyar Khalji invasion of bengal.According to some scholar on basis of temple facing west instead of east as sun temples tend to do, the deo sun temple could have been originally a buddhist temple destroyed by Muhammad bin Bakhtiyar Khalji and later converted to sun temple by Bhairavendra

Sher Shah Suri’s tomb is one of the most iconic and beautiful historic places to be visited in Bihar. It is the mausoleum of Sher Shah Suri who built the Grand Trunk Road, also popularly known as GT Road in India. Very few people know that his original name was Farid Khan. He was an intelligent man and a good politician. This building is a great example of Afghan architecture in India. The tomb itself is conveniently located at a reasonable 10-15 minutes drive from the national highway (NH19) which connects Delhi and Kolkata, two major metro cities of India. Ticket prices are Rs25/- per head for adults and parking charge is also Rs25/- per car. They have a good parking place with restrooms, although they were not very clean. I went here early morning at around 8am and it was very quite and peaceful with very few visitors. The serene water lake surrounding the tomb makes for a picturesque location for taking some good pics. I had a good time here.

Sher Shah Suri's tomb, also known as Sher Shah Ka Makbara or Sher Shah's Mausoleum, is located in Sasaram, Bihar, India. It is the final resting place of Sher Shah Suri, the founder of the Sur Empire in North India during the 16th century.
The tomb is an impressive architectural marvel and a significant historical monument. It was built in the Indo-Islamic style of architecture and is considered one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture in Bihar. The construction of the tomb was commissioned by Sher Shah Suri's son, Emperor Islam Shah, in memory of his father.
The mausoleum is built of red sandstone and stands on a raised platform, surrounded by a beautiful garden. The main structure consists of a large central dome and smaller domed chambers. The facade of the tomb is adorned with intricate carvings, inscriptions, and ornamental work, showcasing the artistic skills of the craftsmen of that era.
Visitors to Sher Shah Suri's tomb can explore the elegant architecture, explore the surrounding gardens, and learn about the historical significance of Sher Shah Suri's reign and contributions to Indian history. It is a popular tourist destination and a must-visit for history enthusiasts and architecture lovers alike.

The tomb of Sher Shah Suri is in the Sasaram town of Bihar state, India. The tomb was built in memory of Emperor Sher Shah Suri, a Pathan from Bihar who defeated the Mughal Empire and founded the Suri Empire in northern India. He died in an accidental gunpowder explosion in the fort of Kalinjar on 10th day of Rabi' al-awwal, A.H. 952 or 13 May 1545 AD.
His tomb is an example of Indo-Islamic architecture, it was designed by the architect Mir Muhammad Aliwal Khan and built between 1540 and 1545 this red sandstone mausoleum (122 ft high), which stands in the middle of an artificial lake, which is nearly square, is known as the second Taj Mahal of India. The tomb stands at the centre of the lake on a square stone plinth with domed kiosks, chhatris at each of its corners, further there are stone banks and stepped moorings on all sides of the plinth, which is connected to the mainland through a wide stone bridge. The main tomb is built on octagonal plan, topped by a dome, 22-metre in span and surrounded ornamental domed kiosks which were once covered in coloured glazed tile work. The lake around the tomb is seen as a development in the Afghan phase of Sultan architecture by the Sur Dynasty.
The tomb was built during the lifetime of Sher Shah as well as the reign of his son Islam Shah. An inscription dates its completion to 16 August 1545, three months after the death of Sher Shah.

This place has a vibe of its own. I read about it during my school days and must say that in person it looks majestic. Credit to ASI and Bihar government to keep it clean and beautiful.
The tomb is magnificent and is surrounded by an artificial lake. You have the mausoleum of Shershah in the main chamber along with few others as well. The stairs to go to top have been blocked for safety. You can walk around the tomb and take the stairs to go down and sit near the lake.
In summer this place will be an awesome location to spend during evening. You can also walk around the lake in its outer perimeter.
Entry was rs 25 per person.

Excellent mausoleum - simple and yet so elegant and it's beauty enhanced by its setting amidst a large lake. A hidden gem in the memory of one of India's ablest rulers with a high track record for public services. The adjacent Archaeological Survey of India has a ticket counter, an often neglected book store which has some extremely cheap books on some very important sites (but sadly not one on Sher Shah's tomb) with lot of information and colour photographs. There's also a toilet and a cafeteria that was closed.

Vishweshwara, Shiva's most famous Jyotirlinga, is said to possess vast and limitless power. A single gaze at this Jyotirlinga can purify our souls and lead us down the road of real knowledge and devotion.
The Mahashivratri festival is enthusiastically celebrated in the temple, with brilliant lights and diyas lining the Ganga's banks. However, because this is such a popular time for worshippers to pray to Lord Shiva, the lines to enter the temple are extremely long, and it may take several hours to get in.
You must remove your shoes at the temple's entry, and the floor can be rather cold once inside. Putting on a pair of socks can make your experience much more pleasant. There's no entry fee for the temple, don't get yourself fooled by any thug out there. The timings of the temple are 4 AM to 11 AM and 12 PM to 7 PM.

Manikarnika Ghat is one the famous & oldest ghats in Varanasi, UP. It is mentioned in a Gupta inscription of 5th century. According to the belief, when Shiva Parvati was observing the pond, the gem of Parvati's ear fell in Chakrapushkarni. It was named Manikarnika because of the fall of Parvati's ear gem. Presently, this ghat of Kashi is famous for both pilgrimage & cremation ground. In all there are 52 Shakti Peethas all over India, and Manikarnika Ghat is one of them, as Sati's earrings fell at this spot.Every day, more than 300 bodies are cremated in this ghat.Hindu mythology teaches that the ghat is especially sacred and that people cremated there receive moksha. The well at the ghat is called Manikarnika Kund and was built by Lord Vishnu. The Manikarnika shrine is an important place of worship for Shaktism sect of Hinduism. It is near to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The Shakti of Manikarnika is addressed as Vishalakshi & Manikarni.

Manikarnika Ghat is one of the most important ghats in Varanasi. It is located on the banks of the Ganges River and is a major cremation ground. Hindus believe that being cremated at Manikarnika Ghat will help them achieve moksha, or liberation from the cycle of reincarnation.
Manikarnika ghat Varanasi
The ghat is said to have been named after the earring of Parvati, the wife of Shiva, which fell into the Ganges River at this spot. It is also said that the ashes of Vishnu, one of the three main gods of Hinduism, were scattered here.
The ghat is a busy place, with cremations taking place around the clock. The bodies of the dead are brought to the ghat on bamboo stretchers and are cremated on wood pyres. The ashes of the dead are then scattered in the Ganges River.
Manikarnika Ghat is a fascinating place to visit, but it can also be a sobering one. It is a reminder of the cycle of life and death, and of the importance of living a good life.

The most sacred and the most crowded Ghat in Varanasi , where , according to mythology, Siva grants moksha . The Ghat has been in existence since Gupta times (5th Century) , but the buildings on the Ghat seen now were built by AhilyaBai Holkar .
Dozens of corpses are cremated here everyday , mountains of firewood can be seen stacked all around and the smoke never clears. True, the place is chaotic, messy , slippery ; there are groups of foreign tourists gawking at the "spectacle of burning bodies" , there are fleecing touts , anxious and stressed out bereaved families . For all that , the Ghat evokes a sense of serenity and is an unforgettable experience.

What a fascinating ghat this is. On the sactred Ganges river this is the most revered spot for a cremation in the hyundu faith. The body of the deceased is carried down through the small alleys and placed in the Ganges for purification. While this is being done the chief mourner and family construct a pyre. AQftyer about 20 monutes the body is recoved from the Ganges and the gold wrappings removed leaving just a simply white linenm wrapping. The body is then placed on the pyre and more ogs placed on top of the body. The chief mourner then ignites the pyre and leaves as the remainder of the ceremony is the responsibility of the funeral director🙏🏻

The ghats are a great and fascinating riverside walk, and for the western traveller let you experience absolute classic the sights, sounds and yes - the smells of India in a couple of miles with no real hassle or pestering. But if you only have time or money for one thing whilst you are there make sure it is the aarti ceremony at sunset.
If you are not Hindu and not taking part in the ceremony be sure to remain respectful and unobtrusive because this is not a tourist spectacle but a sincere and prayerful act of worship for more than 90% of the people there. However, it really is a spectacle: a vibrant, awe-inspiring feast for the eyes and ears.

The Ganga Aarti (ritual of offering prayer to the Ganges river) is held daily at dusk. Several priests perform this ritual by carrying deepam and moving it up and down in a rhythmic tune of bhajans.Special aartis are held on Tuesdays and on religious festivals.
The Ganga Aarti starts soon after sunset and lasts for about 45 minutes. In the summer, the Aarti begins at about 7pm due to late sunsets and in winter it starts at around 6pm. Hundreds of people gather at the ghat every evening to watch the event
It is located close to Vishwanath Temple. There are two Hindu legends associated with the ghat: according to one, Brahma created it to welcome Shiva, and in another, Brahma Performed 10 Ashwamegha Yajna, Dasa-Ashwamedha yajna.

The Hindu temple Dashashwamedh Ghat is a popular religious site on the banks of the Ganges River. It is frequented by people of all faiths to witness the elaborate evening aarti ceremony held every Tuesday. The ghat remains crowded with devotees, sadhus and sanyasis to witness the famous ceremony.
The most well maintained and cleanest ghat amongst all ghats in Varanasi. This is the most prominent ghat and a tourist planning to visit Varanasi must consider Dasaswamedh ghat as the first preference for stay. Although the roads and lanes are too narrow for a vehicle to enter for dropping or picking up. But the main road is at a walkable distance only and can be managed by one and all provided there isn’t any health issues or physical disabilities. All pick up and drop facilities are available from the main road only.

The temple's exquisite architecture, adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures, showcases the rich cultural heritage of our country. Varanasi, often called the "Spiritual Capital of India," is a city that has captivated the hearts of pilgrims and travelers for centuries. At the heart of this mystical city lies the revered Kashi Mahakal Temple, a place that beckoned me on a spiritual quest like no other. In this review blog, I will share my experiences, emotions, and insights from my recent visit to this sacred abode.
The Mystical Ambiance:
As I approached the Kashi Mahakal Temple, I was immediately struck by its magnificent architecture. The towering spires and intricate carvings exuded a sense of grandeur and antiquity that was simply awe-inspiring. The temple's serene surroundings and the Ganges River flowing nearby added to its mystical ambiance.
Devotees' Dedication:
One of the most striking aspects of my visit was the unwavering devotion of the countless pilgrims who had gathered at the temple. Regardless of the scorching sun or long queues, their faith remained unshaken. Observing their rituals and witnessing their deep reverence for Lord Shiva was a humbling experience.
The Spiritual Experience:
Stepping into the inner sanctum of the temple was a transformative moment. The vibrations of devotion and spirituality were palpable. The 'Maha Aarti' ceremony held in the evening was a mesmerizing spectacle. The rhythmic chants, the fragrance of incense, and the melodious bhajans created an atmosphere that transported me to a different realm.
The Lingam:
The focal point of the Kashi Mahakal Temple is the sacred 'Lingam' of Lord Shiva. The priests here perform rituals with utmost devotion and precision. Witnessing the 'Abhishekam' (ceremonial bath) of the Lingam was a deeply moving experience. It felt like a direct connection with the divine.
Ganga Aarti:
A visit to Varanasi is incomplete without witnessing the famous Ganga Aarti. The spectacle of priests offering prayers to the Ganges River with burning lamps was a sight to behold. It symbolized the timeless connection between the river, the city, and its spirituality.
Final Thoughts:
My visit to the Kashi Mahakal Temple in Varanasi left an indelible mark on my soul. It was not just a journey to a holy site; it was a profound spiritual experience. The temple's ambiance, the devotion of the pilgrims, and the divine rituals all contributed to an unforgettable pilgrimage.
If you seek a spiritual journey that transcends the physical realm, Kashi Mahakal Temple in Varanasi should be on your bucket list. It's a place where faith finds its deepest expression, and the soul finds its peace.

Earlier we used to visit just for darshan while this time we could see the beauty and divinity too. The systems are well placed with all facilities especially wheelchairs for old people. It's neat and dry except when it's raining. The only worst experience we had was in toilets. There was no water hence we were prevented to use them. The taps were broken. No proper maintenance and process for cleaning. Too many security personnel but very little guidance.

Visiting the Kashi Vishwanath temple was an incredibly profound experience. From the moment I entered, I was enveloped in an aura of spirituality and tranquility. The architecture is awe-inspiring, with intricate carvings and sacred symbols adorning every corner. The atmosphere inside the temple is serene, allowing for deep reflection and connection with the divine. The priests are knowledgeable and welcoming, enhancing the spiritual journey with their insightful guidance. Witnessing the evening aarti by the sacred Ganges river was truly mesmerizing and left an indelible mark on my soul. A visit to this sacred place is a must for anyone seeking spiritual enlightenment and inner peace. Truly a divine sanctuary that deserves every bit of its revered status.

I would appreciate the work, because there is a multi level bike parking only 20 rs per 3 hours. And you can park cars in private car parking zones, these are also very cheap.
The facilities available inside the temple are great, but as in every other temple, this also gets crowded a lot.

The temple is the very essence of Varanasi. The whole town is built around it. The situation of crowd control inside the premise is very chaotic. The police does not help you at all in this. Be very careful if you have elderly people with you. Protect them from the chaos so they can have a good experience. Only your money or position(if you are a high level government employee or political person)can speak for you here.

What an amazing feeling visiting one of the 12 jyotirlinga situated on the banks of Ganga. It’s a must go place for anyone believing in spiritual existence of the almighty.
The place is mostly crowded almost everyday especially more on Monday and during occasions. It takes a minimum of 1-3 hours to visit the temple depending upon the day of your visit. Remember to keep your mobile phone in the locker provided free of charge present in the temple premises.
There are no charges for visiting the temple. It’s a most visited place for anyone visiting Varanasi. Totally recommended.

Should visit after it ends as a museum because only a small section of the fort is accessible to public other major part is acquired by police training centre

The fort is located on the brink of river Ganges. Compared to other forts, this is quite small as entry for the general public is quite restricted. Inspite of that, the parts that are open has a great view, you will definitely love watching them. Panoramic view of Ganga is quite magnificent.
There is no ticket needed to visit this place. Moreover accessible with cars and bikes too as well as parking is also available at the top. The fort is safe as police station is situated on the fort only. This place is quite famous among lovebirds. Go and visit for the serene view and peace from the noise around the city.
Not much to see since most of the fort is locked and prohibited to enter for tourists. It is believed that most of the parts of fort approx 80-90% are underground, a lots of tunnels in and around the fort are evident of the fact.
This fort was built by Raja Vikramaditya from Ujjain in 56BC and houses the Samadhi of his elder brother. It has been since captured by multiple rajas from Prithviraj Chauhan, to Mughal emperors like Akbar. The fort has different structures like a jail, VIP jail, Kal kothri, swayamvar sabha and Shershah Suri's Darbar.

The Ashoka Pillar, an iconic symbol of India's glorious past, stands tall with immense historical significance. Located in the magnificent city of Delhi, this timeless masterpiece is an absolute must-visit for history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike.
From the moment I laid eyes on the Ashoka Pillar, I was captivated by its sheer grandeur and majestic presence. The pillar, crafted from a single piece of beautifully polished sandstone, rises gracefully towards the sky, standing at an impressive height. Its perfectly balanced proportions and intricate carvings showcase the remarkable craftsmanship of ancient Indian artisans.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the Ashoka Pillar is its age. Dating back to the 3rd century BCE, it has endured the test of time, weathering countless eras, dynasties, and historical events. Its survival is a testament to the enduring strength and resilience of Indian history and culture.

This is important pilgrimage for Hindu religion. The divine city Vindhyachal is exactly on the banks of river Ganges, and strategically located exactly between two highly divine Hindu cities Prayag (Allahabad) and Kashi (Varanasi). Holy dip in the river Ganges before the darshan of divine deity is much needed and spiritual. The boat are plying and taking the pilgrims to other bank which is less crowded and much clean. The boat charges to and fro is rs 200. There is camel ride available which can be attraction for kids.
Every day, a large number of people visit the temple. We can see a regular crowd of the public almost every day . Lot of people will perform auspicious ceremony in the temple campus like mundan ceremony. Some construction is going on which will make things convinient for public in future.

Powerful Deity, Chaotic Experience: A Review of Vindhyachal Devi Temple
Vindhyachal Devi Temple is a sacred gem nestled in the heart of the Vindhyachal Range. As a devout pilgrim, I found solace and spiritual rejuvenation within its hallowed precincts.
The temple is undergoing upgradation and a new corridor is being constructed. The overall architecture is awe-inspiring, reflecting the rich tapestry of Hindu mythology and culture. From intricate carvings to vibrant colors, every detail exudes divine grace.
The ambiance is serene, offering a sanctuary for introspection and prayer. As I walked through the complex, the fragrance of incense and the melodious chants transported me to a realm of transcendence.
Vindhyachal Devi Temple is not just a place of worship; it's a pilgrimage of the soul. A sacred destination that beckons seekers of truth and spiritual enlightenment.
Visiting Vindhyachal Devi Temple was a spiritually enriching experience for me. The aura surrounding the deity is undeniably powerful, and the vibes resonate with tranquility and devotion. However, the overall visit was marred by inadequate queue management and unprofessional behavior exhibited by the pandas (temple priests).
While the sanctity of the temple is unquestionable, the lack of proper queue management created chaos and prolonged waiting times. This detracted from the overall pilgrimage experience and could be improved with better organization and crowd control measures.
Additionally, the conduct of the pandas and the ways they fleece devotees left much to be desired. Their demeanor towards devotees was lacking in patience and respect, which is disappointing considering the sacred nature of their role. A more courteous and accommodating approach would greatly enhance the pilgrims' experience.
While the spiritual significance of Vindhyachal Devi Temple is undeniable, there is room for improvement in terms of infrastructure and the conduct of temple staff. Enhancements in queue management and a focus on fostering a more welcoming atmosphere would undoubtedly elevate the overall pilgrimage experience for devotees.

This place of worship has been turned into a business hub run by Pandaas which takes money for unofficial vip Darshan entry (no receipt) and they stop the normal queue to let the person who paid Money to pass and get to see the goddess early. If you don't pay them and take the normal queue be ready to wait longer than usual for Darshan. Even the police are helpless they say its the system now..run by pandits committee (and children are also earning money same way)

The temple of Maa Ashtabhuja is situated at a distance of two kilometers from Maa Vindhyavasini temple. A large number of devotees come to the court of Maa Ashtabhuja. It is believed that the Cruel Kansa, fearing his death, had imprisoned his sister Devaki after she became the voice of the sky. Where he used to kill every child born in the womb. Meanwhile, mother Ashtabhuja is born from Devaki's womb. As soon as Kansa is about to kill her, she gets released from his hands and sits on Vindhyachal hill. Jai Maa Asta Bhuji Devi.
This temple is situated at the top of Vindhyachal Mountain.
Here you can come with help of your feet ,😉 I mean by using stairs and roads or by help of ropeway or by using transportation,
I mean using taxi or motorcycle or car depends upon you.
But overall a good place to visit here from mountain you can get pleasent sight and a good place to get images if you are a photographer or even normal smartphone user you can also get good quality images.

Ashtabhuja Devi Temple, as the name suggests, is dedicated to the goddess Ashtbhuja, who was the daughter of Yashoda, the foster mother of Lord Krishna. Without her darshan your Vindhyachal trip is incomplete.
