The Salvador Dalí House Museum in Port Lligat is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. This unique museum showcases the eccentric and intriguing life of Salvador Dalí, who resided here with his wife Gala from 1930 to 1982. The magnificent seaside complex overlooks a serene cove, offering breathtaking views. The whitewashed structure consists of interconnected cottages and sunny terraces, connected by narrow corridors that create a fascinating labyrinthine experience.
A fantastic window into Dali's life and thoughts. His studio is wonderful, once you see some of his large pieces at the museum you'll understand his movable easel.
Make sure to have reservations or be ready to wait and get there early.

A must stop for any fan of Salvador Dali’s life and work. Get intimate with his life work by visiting his house in Port Lligat. You will learn so much. Do the house tour and visit the olive garden. Beautiful views from the top. A magical place for sure.

I feel like it had more potential - they could have made the whole tour QR code audio guided.
He seems like an interesting character so I’m sure it could have been packed with fun facts and his life story.
They have mini QR snippets here and there but literally like 1-3 sentences that hardly offers value.
Watch a documentary about him beforehand to get a foundation first because you won’t be taught anything about his life Eg where he grew up/where he’s from/ how he died/his career.
It’s cool to see the quirky house and garden. And the little bay that it’s in is cute. But definitely unmet potential.
Brid McNulty — Google review
Went in the low season so it wasn't crowded.
The setting is like a film set from a by gone time...stunning. His art isn't to my taste, nor the movement he is associated with but this environment is magical and we are in his intimate environment which has been frozen in time.

What a joy to visit this little piece of paradise on earth! Learned a great deal about Salvador Dali’s life. Tour guide wonder wonderful and even gave the tour to our group in three languages!
Kathryn Michno — Google review
This was my favorite Dali museum out of the three! We went early in the morning on a Tuesday morning and loved the views from Dali’s personal Seaside mansion. This gives you a very close glimpse into the artist’s and his wife’s life together. Make sure to buy tickets beforehand! This was a very easy drive from Fugeres.
Ed Grochowiak — Google review
Entrance fee is 19€, but online 1€ cheaper, better to buy in advance, especially in summer.
Visits are possible in small groups, ~10 persons.
Guido speak English, Spanish, Catalan, French (not audio guide).
You’ll get a map for your tour.
Video about Dali’s life in the end of your visit, optional to see, language Catalan 🤦🏻♀️
We enjoyed our visit, recommend
Nadia Patrukhina — Google review
We loved this house tour! Dali did a lot of curious things and this house is full of interesting things to see. The people there are very particular that you have to pick up the tickets 30 minutes early and you can only go in the house exactly when your ticket says. There is a delicious open air restaurant about a 2 minute walk from the Dali house, right next to the bay. Check it out.
Karen Phillips — Google review
Dali's house is now a permanent time capsule dedicated to the incredible life and work of one of our greatest ever artists. His home is virtually untouched since his passing and therefore gives the visitor a fascinating glimpse into the life of the world's most famous surrealist artists.
For me, the opportunity to stand in his studio with several of his unfinished works was quite awe inspiring and incredibly emotional.
I must applaud the dedicated staff who were both passionate and helpful. If you are in the area I highly recommend a visit to this historical attraction.
Mark Bray — Google review
When in Spain, visit Dali! The view in front of Dali's house is no wonder why he was such a great artist! Full of scenic view. It's a bit of walk of ups & downs from Cadaques center but worth taking one. The house is now a museum surrounded by a small cafe, a washroom and an art gallery.
Aditya Deokule — Google review
A neat and interesting look into Dalí’s life and how it influenced him as an artist. They were quite strict on the time to enter, but did ask to arrive half an hour before, so plan on wandering around the estate a bit before the tour. We did end up spending much longer than we anticipated since we enjoyed it more than we thought we would. What a fun house!
Ava — Google review
Such a peaceful natural harbour with beautiful scenery. We missed visiting the house by ten minutes as it shuts in June at 5.10!! Gorgeous setting though.
Liz Armstrong — Google review
Must see! Mandatory to book the visit in advance. We’ve planed too visit the Theatre Dali Museum in Figueres and due to time availability, we decided to visit the house of the artist before. Unfortunately we didn’t planed right and didn’t booked tickets in advance. The result was that the day was sold out. Still we managed to visit the gardens and exterior (separate ticket), which was available. The pool is also included in this tour. It tooled us aprox 1h and it gave us an idea regarding the house interior. It definitely worth to see at least the exterior if not the full house. As Dali himself stated, one cannot understand the artist works, if one hasn’t visited the artist nest.
Liviu S — Google review
Buy tickets in advance, well worth trip. Super interesting space, good compliment to museum. Cadaqués right next door is beautiful as well. Overall you won’t see many of his paintings but more of his mindset and thinking
Michael Perez-Gelinas — Google review
If you are Cadaqués, you definitely have to visit Dali's House. The tour was amazing. We didn't expect that somebody will guide us and give interesting information. We were surprised and just loved it. I would recommend to everyone to see and learn more about Dali.
Yasemin Erdem — Google review
Beautiful town and very surreal environment that would take your breaths away, one of the most beautiful towns I have ever been to in my travels.
Baqer Alsalman — Google review
It’s a great place. It’s a true home where you can feel less madness of Dali but more everyday life of the artist and his wife. They lived here and it’s obvious. But you can still see his amazing flair and talent. However the system to buy and get the tickets is weird. Even if you buy it online (which i strongly recommend) you have to arrive 30 mins in advance to pick them up and wait for 30 mins to start the visit which doesn’t make any sense. We were here in winter and there were no places to stay a bit and drink coffee or have any snacks. 30 mins of walking around is not so cool. Meanwhile the museum itself is worth it. It’s the third spot out of three museums within the Dalí triangle. I would say that it’s not so surprising and expressive in comparison with others but it helps to understand how Dali felt the world around.
Kirill Maksimkin — Google review
Must to visit in Cadaqués. There is a spacious parking if you arrive by car otherwise it is 10min walk from the center.
Make sure you make a reservation if you want to visit the interiors while for the garden reservation is usually not needed.
Giuseppe Laudadio — Google review
The Salvador Dali Theatre-Museum in Figueres is an extraordinary place that captivates with its unique atmosphere and wealth of exhibits. The displays are not only fascinating for art enthusiasts but also accessible and engaging for all visitors. The exceptional exhibition of Dali's works and the extraordinary interior make this museum a true cultural gem.
Łukasz Stanisław Zwijacz — Google review
What a cool experience! We visited the house right after we visited Dali’s museum in Figures and a quick trip to Cadaqués, so this really completed the entire experience! The tour was a little less an an hour. The house is super interesting and quirky, and the views are absolutely amazing. Worth it!!!
Ania Stacey — Google review
When you go inside this crazy house you can feel the genius of Dali. The house is like when he left it. It’s very nice to visit. I discover the Dalí intimate. You can see some art of Dalí also.
You can visit the house even if you don’t know nothing about Salvatore Dalí.
You must book entrance in advance.

Nice small but interesting place. Only guided tour with small group. You have to buy ticket in advance. Beautiful surrounding area also has wotht to see.
The impressive Catholic church Santa Maria de Cadaqués overlooks the old town of Cadaques. Completed in the 14th century, it was later rebuilt after a series of pirate raids in the 15th and 16th centuries. The golden Baroque altarpiece is a popular attraction inside. While some found its gaudy style too overbearing, others found it charming. The town itself is full of good tapas bars and views are beautiful from the church.
Visited around midday on a Tuesday in late May. Looks quite utilitarian on the outside but the inside has some lovely ornate features - without being overly showy. Cool (temperature), quiet and solemn inside. Some interesting paintings to take in. Has some nice alcoves too. Quite central and relatively easy to access. Certainly worth a visit if you find yourself in Cadaques. Highly recommended.
Leighton Smith — Google review
It is a nice litle rown but the local police is very selective when you want a parkingspot at the parkingplace. Good tapasbars every where.
Christophe Verstappen — Google review
This large church dominates the town and is attractive on the outside. Inside the oversize alterpiece attempts to impress, but I found it too gaudy for my tastes.
Ian Yates — Google review
Lovely church, the walk up to the church it's self is wonderful and the views from the church are beautiful. We'll worth a visit.
Alexandra Cutting — Google review
Beautiful 16C church with a stunning viewpoint above Cadaques looks over the town and the sea. When we were there there was classical guitar playing under the trees which made it very atmospheric. Church interior is dominated by a huge gilded 18C altarpiece which, when lit (coin in the slot donation) is quite amazing. Quite a stiff walk uphill to the church over the old slate pavements from the shoreline but it really is worth the effort.
Andy Weston — Google review
This place is stunning.
It's the gem on top of the little town of Cadaques.
The priest is charming.
There is a delightful prayer and meditation area to the side. Do take your shoes off.
The views from the terrace outside are delightful.
There is an astonishing enormous alterpiece. It it intricate and guilded and some feel over the top but I rather love it.
There are guitar recitals by internationally renowned artists every Wednesday in the summer, which are a complete bargain and enchanting. A perfect space.
Not to be missed if you are anywhere nearby.

Excavated ancient city overlooking the sea with a wharf, forum and thorough archaeological museum.
This is an incredible place with both green and Roman runs. The history is shared through the audio guide and makes you feel like you are entering the time of the Greeks. The mosaics in the Roman city are not to be missed.
Sara MacCracken — Google review
Brilliant Find overall. A bit tricky to find using GPS Or Google. Used road markings to reach the place.
Great spot, next to sea beach. Many people went to sea beach as well using the same parking as the site. 2 big parking available.
The site entry is 5 euros or so. Kids free. Free voice headsets. The explanations (voice guidance) is available in many languages. If you really want to know and learn and hear each set of voice message it will take you an hour or so just for greek part them similar for Roman part. A bit hard to do when it is too sunny as there is no shade once you enter the main site. One ice cream van at the entry ( inside).
Overall great place for history lovers.
Nand Nandan Jha — Google review
We paid 7 euros, and it was definitely the best 7 euros spent in a long time! Fascinating site still undergoing excavation. There are plenty of details around the Greek site, but not as much on the Roman site. You could easily spend a day there. Take plenty of water and sunscreen as you will be outside with little shade for the majority of the time. The indoor exhibition was closed for refurbishment on our visit, but they had put some of the better finds in a small room below.

The strongest moment of our costa brava visit you could almost see the city alive again with our massive towers, city walls, large forums. Incredible!

Beautiful location! Super friendly staff! A must see if you’re in the area. I have difficulty walking but was given a wheelchair to get around. Not completely wheelchair friendly as expected as it is an old historical site but for me just perfect. Definitely recommend this place.

Very nice place, ruins by the sea of Ancient Greek (the only one in Spain ) and Roman city. Not many pieces in the Museum to see
Chaf Zitouni — Google review
If you like to be in the ruins of an old city under a ruthless sun this is your place: you have the ruins of the greek city and the ruins of the roman city. It's a unique combo. The good news is that a Splash in the sea is 3 minutes away... The museum at the moment is 90% close due to work in progress. The only room left open has some nice remains, also from neolithic age.

Last visited 10 years ago - the site has improved so much with more excavation completed. The English audio guide with commentary by Tony Robinson was informative and entertaining. Excellent value for money - 5 Euro for over 65s

My normal stop over in the camper when travelling north or south into Spain. There is a building site on the large parking space, so now on the smaller car park. Still well visited by campers. The mall is good, but usually just visiting the supermarket to stock up.

Not so many shopping stores for what the number of reviews and name claims!
Weak lightening in halls.
Supermarket super packed with frenchs, who are buying their groceries with probably cheaper price…

When the Ancient Greeks were creating the very concept of Hell, with the dark and dastardly depths of Tartarus, brimming with lost souls wandering aimlessly amongst the most foul of creatures, they were most surely thinking of this place, this portal to the Abyss, from which no good has ever come, the very pinnacle of despicable consumerism and destructive capitalism.

An interesting outlet mall with many shops. If you can just avoid the weekend, French people go like crazy everywhere specially in the supermarket.

🇪🇸 Supermarché pas cher entre la frontière France-Espange. Ville Jonquera, vey nice Spanish supermarket, you can buy everything mostly, different prices, you can buy cigarettes too...city of Jonquièra at the front side of France...

We've been here twice this summer. In the beginning of July and in mid-August.
In July it was still relatively quiet and it was easy to stroll around and wander through the stores. In Mid-August it was completely packed...on a morning...on a weekday! Mostly with french visitors. Made it more difficult looking around the shops for a good deal. Also finding a parking lot became more difficult, there was a huge line when we left after lunchtime....lot was full!
Besides that it is a great Mall to spend a few hours. There's a good number of restaurants and food counters. But we just bought some Bread, Cheese and Jamon in the nice Escudero Supermarket and took a seat on one of the many comfy couches all around the mall.
The Guess store is also worth a visit. Small, but great offers. You really need quite some hours if you are looking for great deals. And it is a nice mall to do so. Parking is free, there's free WiFi and the toilets are free and clean. Pets are allowed as well (everywhere except the Supermercat).
Will come back again.
Alex Haas — Google review
Not that great overall. It is a lot smaller than other similar centers so there is not a lot of variety. The shops look terrible with very few exception (desigual looks great everywhere). On the plus side, they have a lot of parking spaces.

Beautiful Castle and medieval city. The castle is at the top of the hill so does require so. E uphill walking to get to. Parking is €3 for as long as you want. There are a number of restaurants and some shops selling art etc. There are so a couple of drinks/ice cream shops.

A journey back in time. Around 30' by car from Perpignan. An amazingly preserved medieval village in a stunning area. It's a magical place, full of small shops that sell handmade art pieces. The castle is majestic and has an interesting history. Everything opens at 10AM. Well worth a visit!

What an amazing Castle to find in at the top of the mountain’s. Some old fashioned shops still being used on site. Two great shops to buy food and drinks on site as well. Plenty of parking and a lovely picnic area and food van just opposite the car park. If you are in this area please do come and visit this most beautiful place. Salvador Dali's famous art museum is housed in a red castle-like building with giant eggs and stylized Oscar-like statues. The museum exhibits pieces from Dali's early career to his later works, including installations and more discreet pieces. Visitors will likely be able to speak English, but it's polite to learn some Catalan as well.
Unique experience, the whole place is amazing. Apart from the paintings and the installations on display, visitors can also have a chance to see the artwork of some other artists. Also we had the chance to see the work that Dali did in relation with Dante's Divine Comedy. Definitely worths a visit no matter if Art is your cup of tea or not!

Famous museum with a lot of famous and impressive works of art and sculpture! Decent interpretation as well. I liked the Mae West room, and the room near the end with the melted clock and the feet on the ceiling.
It can be busy, so book online in advance. The ticket price is also fair at E15, not ridiculous like some in Barcelona.

This is madness. This is out-worldly. “Where, if not in my own town, should the most extravagant and solid of my work endure, where if not here?“
Definitely book online in advance and spare around three hours (remember the closing time at 17:45). I would go early in the morning as it gets super crowded. Also guided tour is highly recommended!

Amazing place, totally worth it. Salvador Dali’s art is awesome. Definitely have to see it in person. The Museum is pretty big and you need at least two hours to see everything. In addition to the main part, there is another exhibition (in another building) with Dali’s jewellery which must be seen as well. The museum is so pretty on the outside also. There is a shop inside to buy authentic souvenirs. Had a great time, you should visit it too, if in Barcelona!!!
Zdravko Dimitrov — Google review
The museum that Dali himself designed for himself and his posterity. You need a guided tour to fully understand the nuances of the museum. While I didn't see any signature pieces, still saw a number of unique pieces to make it a worthwhile visit. The city of Figueres is Dali's hometown and having his museum there, he is giving back to his hometown with the tourist dollars forever. Definitely a proud native son.

We had a visit as a team event with a private viewing and I loved the Dali museum. His paintings and the many layers needed loads of time to absorb and many details. Sadly we only had 40 minutes but so interesting and quirky which I love.

My favorite painter. Amazing and so special experience. He was definitely something more than human, painter, artist.. Words are fading when I am trying to explain.. The day I will remember.. if you are staying for few hours here..it would be little. Here you can feel him and the way he was sharing his world with others and showing them what he wanted them to see. Such an exquisite soul. All recommends, unique experience.

Pure magic! It deserves to spend the whole morning visiting and interpreting all the masterpieces of such a great artist! I strongly recommend to hire a guided tour or to use an audioguide to help yourself understand the meaning of all the items exposed as well as to discover the hidden images and secrets of the pictures.

Really 4.5. It is a unique and interesting museum, but it didn't sweep me off my feet. For one thing, it's not very large. And it doesn't contain some of Dali's best works. When there are a lot of people, it can feel crowded. Nonetheless, it's worth a visit if you are in Barcelona for at least 3 nights.
Also, no need to go there with a tour company, as it's readily accessible by train out of Barcelona for a fairly inexpensive price, and a 15-20 mins walk from the train station. The town of Figueres is also cute, so it's worth strolling through it a bit.
Igor Faynshteyn — Google review
Probably the main attraction of Figueres. It is possible and recommended to purchase tickets online in advance. The museum is splendid, with the peculiarity that, by Dali's own will, there is no predetermined route, and everyone is free to visit it in their own way. More explanations regarding the exhibited content would have probably made the visit even more interesting, but it remains an overall splendid experience.
Alessandro Falco — Google review
If you like Dali you will find this museum interesting. I took the guided tour in English and learned some interesting details that you do not get just from wandering around.
You need to plan ahead to get a guided tour. I had to wait 2 days for the English tour. I have included some of my surrealist photography that was inspired by Dali.

Amazing experience! Went on a Saturday and we had pre booked fast track tickets. There was no wait time and the museum is very easy to find and get to from the train station. We spent more than 3 hours and felt we could easily do 3 more. Its a magical experience that allows you to be a part of Dali’s world. The museum is a work of art inside and outside and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend

I strongly recommend that you come. The Dali Museum will definitely bring you unforgettable memories
The light is very good when you go in the morning. You can prepare a few coins because some installation art requires coins to be seen

Honestly, this is one of the best museums that I visited in my life. Dalí was a truly genius and artist of this time. Even not a minute you can get bored there. Looking forward to visit this amazing museum again!!!

We will forever remember the day we spent here as one of the best of our lives...exploring this place for hours, wandering the halls of an amazing architectural space seeing some of the best surrealist art that's ever been created and visiting the artist's tomb in his hometown. Truly ineffable. The jewels exhibit is somewhat hidden and is utterly stunning so we hope you can find it

Well, what else can be said about this sublime museum? Dali designed and set it all up and you can tell as much upon entering and the ensuing adventure within.
I visited in May 2016 when the weather was beautiful. The train from Barcelona doesn’t take too long and is cheap enough. The train I got took around 2 hours and cost around 20 Euro’s return. The museum ticket was 14 Euro’s but this may have changed.
The crowds were spread out so things didn’t get too claustrophobic and you can go off in pretty much any direction you wish. It’s definitely not your conventional journey inside a museum.
My visit was made more fun after meeting a recently divorced American lady who sold everything up and decided to back pack around Europe. She has been a Dali fan since high school and this was one of her major stops along her travels. It was quite exciting to see someone from the other side of the world enjoying the museum like a child enjoys Christmas morning.
The shop was nice but could have had a little more on offer. I did pick up a lovely poster for the collection but there wasn’t a lot on offer which was a shame.
There are few museums around Europe that offer an experience of this kind. Now we are getting back to more regular travel, I would suggest you make The Dali Museum a high priority.

Difficult to put into words. If you like Dali’s work, given he designed this Museum - this is almost a religious experience. Be sure to visit the Dali Jewels exhibition just beyond the Museum gift shop, included with your ticket. Well worth the trip to the beautiful town Figueres.

The Dali museum was well worth the hassle of traveling to Figueres from Barcelona. It's a short walk (15 min) from the train station. We arrived late for our reservation due to us taking longer than expected on the train. They allowed us to come in only because there were open spaces in the next time slot but I highly recommend reserving tickets ahead of time. The museum is I think about 3 floors and ascends in a circular manner. It's extremely crowded in the afternoon so perhaps an early time slot is more comfortable. It was difficult to admire all the works due to the crowds but that was to be expected. If you're debating on coming here, take the plunge. I am a big fan of his artwork and to witness one of his greatest masterpieces, including his tomb was very gratifying.

Came on one of the busiest weekends mid August. The place was full of tourists, but even then we still had some luck with waiting outside the two nearby indoor parkings for around 10 minutes to be able to park. We walked up over to the ticket counter and bought the tickets to get access in the next 10 minutes. It was around 2:30pm when we got in. The place is a bit of a maze but it honestly fits with the vibe of Dali's art. Despite it being packed, the rest of the tourists were respectful of space and it was a generally nice visit. The art, of course, is amazing - a definite must visit.

A dream finally came true! Finally had the chance to visit Dalí Theatre. We stayed in Barcelona so we had to visit the Museum. I recommend you to get your tickets in advance online. I won’t describe my experience which was great 😊 just have a look at the photos and videos! outstanding

We were blown away by the intricate details and senses-evoking exhibits and experience that this museum had provided. As a Dali fan, it was a visual and thought-provoking feast! Even my companions of non-dali fans were easily converted into one after going through the works and installation.

Really interesting display. Interactive and fun. We tried not to get lost, many things to see. Quite sure we missed a few! Loved the pictures with Dali himself painting what we can actually see in the room.
Only bémol would be the app. If you take a picture with your phone, the app starts from scratch when relaunched… it takes too long.
Easy to park nearby - we added a nice walk downtown with small Christmas market.
Estelle Cros — Google review
Very interesting to walk and look around the huge museum of quirky and fascinating artwork and experience. You don’t have to love art to have a great time and enjoy this museum. It’s a fun place to experience
with friends and family and you can spend a lot of time just talking about it. Each artwork is so unique and eye catching - some are huge installations, some play with the architecture of the building, others require a second look to unravel the overall picture. There are so many hidden features in each area, depending on where you are looking from, something could look entirely different. It’s a museum unlike any other, where every wall and corner would have something special. Each artwork would have an artist statement and description, explaining the intention and meaning behind the piece, making it so much more interesting and easy to appreciate. Some art pieces are absolutely incredible in terms of their visual qualities like the choice of colour, the fine details, the overall composition. Included in the ticket, is a nearby building a few steps away from the museum, where there are artworks made of precious gems and jewels. Each piece was simply stunning - bedazzled in colourful gems, each work had a peculiar structure and form.

A must visit! I was very delighted with what I saw. There is one drawback - you may not get to the museum immediately as soon as you arrive in Figueres, due to the huge influx of tourists to the museum, as well as others who want to visit it, so I recommend purchasing tickets online in advance. We bought tickets at about 11.30 and got to the museum only at 16.15.

Amazing experience. If you are in the area this is a 'must do' even if you aren't into the work of Salvador Dali. This fascinating museum is all the more incredible given the fact that the great man conceived and created it himself during his lifetime.

No one ever will concur Dali in this type of “crazy”! It’s absolutely amazing 😻
When going there I would recommend:
1) buy tickets upfront online
2) If you are going with a baby, they will ask you to leave stroller at the entrance. So I would recommend to have a baby carrier with you

The Sant Ferran fortress is a sprawling 18th-century military fortress & former prison that offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. Admission is just 3.50 euros, and self-guided tours are available of the fortifications and the dungeons which lie beneath its thick stone walls.
Really enjoyable couple of hours, hardly anyone else there and all for €4, would recommend a visit. Even stayed in our motorhome in the car park overnight and a lovely walk around the perimeter.
Nigel Hicks — Google review
That’s definitely one of the most underestimated landmarks I’ve ever been to. It’s the largest military facility / fortress in Europe. For sure the Dalí museum is the heart of Figueres but this place is fantastic. It’s only 20 mins on foot from the museum. There is a parking available.
You can find so many interesting spots like the fortress walls, living pavilions, some ruins, amazing underground tunnels and buildings (stables). It’s breathtaking. Also there is an indescribable view of the mountains and the valley. It costs just 5 euros per person. There are lots of events you may be interested in. Just check their website. One of the reason I will come back is that there is an underground water supply with 9 million litres of pure water. It’s a must to explore. You can take a self guided tour through the castle with a detailed enough map.

Castell de Sant Ferran is a stunning peice of building architecture.
It's a great place to help understand the history of the region, and a beautiful place to see the areas around.
Upon entering you can enter an explanation video in different languages.
And you can walk with a map through the numberd sites each one has a short explanation.
It was really nice to go around and see the biggest stronghold in the European continent.
Uri Shav-Tal — Google review
Nice castle, it is pretty big, we spent there an hour walking slowly and checking everything what was in the map given at the ticket office, the entry ticket is only 4 euro for adults and free for kids up to 9 years old
Lena Lena — Google review
No photos, can do this place justice. It is truly immense and utterly awesome. €5 per adult to enter. However, I can't recommend the guided tour enough. It costs €16 per adult, but the extra information given by Enric is well worth every cent. First up the tour of the above ground areas, in one of the 7 open top vintage Land Rovers, aka "the Aston Martin". Followed by the boat tour of one of the 4 underground water cisterns. Then we got to wander around the complex on our own. 32 Hectares in total, with a 3 km perimeter. Incredible. According to the internet, the fortress of Sant Feran, is the largest fort in Europe and I can well believe it.
It has to be seen to be believed.
Enric's sense of humour really made the trip for us. We loved it. 💜🤟
Alison Farrow (FindingXANADU) — Google review
Cool views of the area but could use more information and historical anecdotes. For example, in the stables a sign would read ‘this is an old stable where they housed 500 cavalry horses.” Felt very minimal. The cafeteria was very nice though!

If in Figueres, definitely worth the visit up here. We just did the normal visit but there is also a guided tour which I hear is amazing. Unfortunately this was closed when we went due to Corona. But still, it is a great visit with a rich history and great viewpoints. Entrance was 4eu per adult and you get a pamphlet that walks you through the various areas. If you have the time, don't skip this.
Gregory Doukas — Google review
A surprising large fort, needing at least an hour to walk along the numbered route. You get a map with the tickets which lists the numbered points on the self-guided tour. There is an audiovisual in a room on the left of the entry walkway which will be better to watch before you walk, not after like most visitors.

Pujada del Castell, s/n, 17600 Figueres, Girona, Spain
Jardíns de Cap Roig is a serene botanical garden that encompasses a stone castle in a picturesque environment. Established in 1927 by Russian Colonel Nicolai Woevodsky and English aristocrat Dorothy Webster, the garden spans over 20 hectares and features more than 800 botanical species. It is renowned as one of the most remarkable gardens in the Mediterranean region.
This is so much more than a beautiful botanic garden, it's a story of the lives, love and legacy of two people.
We arrived early and being able to explore the garden virtually alone was truly a
magical experience. I could feel the presence of Dorothy as I walked down the steps from house and into the garden with the beautiful views.
Lot's lovely places to sit and soak up the atmosphere.
Free car park, but if you have a motorhome, don't try freeloading, you have to visit the garden. 10€ for adults or 5€ if you are over 65.
What I really didn't like and I tried my best to ignore, we're the awful, out of place "sculptures". Why are they even there? Please get rid of the hideous, tacky bowl of fruit and put it back where it deserves to be in a holiday camp amusement arcade.
Having said that, if you can turn a blind eye, you will enjoy the garden.
Elizabeth Jackson — Google review
You can tell it's run by a bank. Spotless, the gutters at the sides of the path are swept clear of grit daily, the signposts are poor, the one way system in the car park isn't marked and the pedestrian entrance is closed and unmarked requiring an additional 1.5km to the ticket office. The first map is 100s of meters inside, no map handed out
Big summer music festival including Rod Stewart no less. Banks eh.
But the plants are great, nice sea view.
Worth going

Fastidiously designed estate with stunning attention to detail. High above the cliffs amongst the pine trees, twisting, anastomosing paths take you on a journey of botany and photo culture like never before. Especially the cactus area! Take your camera on a sunny day and you’ll not want to leave.
Sandy Man — Google review
It is a pleasant and well maintained botanical garden. The entrance is 10€, 5€ for students, and it looks like it is free for the clients of the Caixa bank (though I am not 100% sure about that).
We have visited during a low season, and there were only few other visitors. Of course, many plants are not at their most beautiful state in december...
It took us about an hour and a half. The castle was closed.
The only issue is a bad design of the walkways. Instead of having trails that meander through the entire garden, many of the trails have a dead end, so you have to retrace your steps quite often.
Alex Rublinetsky — Google review
Beautifully maintained gardens. Everything is labelled for identification. Staff are friendly. There is a picnic area and small children's play area. The stone castle looks amazing against the blue skies (cannot go inside). 10€ each in 2022 entrance fee and free if you have la caixa bank account, parking included in the price. of which there is plenty. Very clean toilets inside the grounds and vending machines outside (bottle of water 1€)
Fantastic sea views from the beautiful gardens and well worth a visit.

Highly recommend this beautiful garden to walk around and take in views over the sea. It is a large garden so I would recommend a few hours to walk around it all! Many types of plants and flowers can be seen, and some beautiful old buildings. Lots of places to sit and admire a nice view. Note that there is no cafe, only a small vending machine with drinks and snacks, but they only take cash, or card payment with an app called breazy. There is a picnic area inside the garden under shade and many tables to sit so best to just bring your own drinks and snacks!

We had an absolutely lovely day here, it is well worth visiting these gardens. The plants are arranged in areas - terraces, cactuses etc which makes them interesting to look at. We were lucky with a beautiful blue sky to set the plants against, and going down to the lower paths you get glorious view of the deep blue Mediterranean sea. Highly recommended.

Beautiful scenery, lovely gardens! Lacks a proper cafe and the gardener workers were blasting their radio when we were relaxing in the lounge area (kind of killed the enjoyment of being in a garden). Lots of walking, but also lots of benches to sit and relax. Stunning views.

I loved this place. Beautiful gardens overlooking a beautiful coastline. I'm a garden lover so I especially enjoyed the walks and the huge variety of plants. I spent about an hour and a half there. I arrived at around 11:00 and the place was very quiet which, for me, made it more enjoyable. You can drive right up to it and park there for free. The entrance fee was €10.
I would definitely recommend coming for a visit.
Lou — Google review
We arrived here in the heat of the day (what do they say about mad dogs and Englishmen!). The gardens also had their festival running which meant there were limited facilities there.
However, the gardens are very picturesque with views across the coastline providing a dramatic setting for the beautiful gardens. It's planted out really nicely with areas of shade which are welcome on a hot day. Castle is a really nice spot in the middle of the gardens although it was closed up because of the festival.
Staff were really helpful and friendly from the guy on the gate, to the taxi driver who shuttles you from the car park to the garden (2 minutes) and to the lady on the ticket desk.
Pretty easy walking although be aware it is built on the cliffs so there is quite a bit of up and down.
I'd recommend going when the festival isn't on as then you can stop somewhere for a drink and get a better feel for the place.

+definitely worth seeing
+beautiful, peaceful and green

+there is a picnic spot in the shade
+has a very nice swimming spot nearby (not a part of the garden) Worth hiking there
-not a lot of information about the place, it’s history and plants. Worth looking in the internet before or during the visit.
-quite tricky navigation around the garden.

Gorges de la Fou is a family-friendly destination where visitors can enjoy a small excursion with provided hard hats for safety. The canyon offers a cool and refreshing experience, so bringing a jacket is advisable. It's an opportunity to test your stamina while walking through nature and admiring the marked fauna with descriptions. Additionally, there are cafes and restaurants at the entrance/exit for refreshments.
A place where you can accidentally get wet. Also be careful with your power, as it is a good test of stamina. Great place for a walk “through” the nature, amazing view. Nice detail is that all types of fauna are marked and given a small description. There are also some cafes and restaurants just on the entrance/exit, so you can restore some energy if you wish. Good place to enjoy the nature with friends or family in a pleasant way.

Certainly a monument to behold. Its wonderful to walk on history. Very evocative of medieval cliches (you transport yourself to those times without a lot of effort, you expect the taxman at the gate to ask you for some fee to allow your produce to go inside for selling, if you know what I mean).

Besalú is a medieval town with a 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the Fluvià river.
The name Besalú is derived from the Latin Bisuldunum, meaning a fort on a mountain between two rivers.
The town's importance was greater in the early Middle Ages, as capital of the county of Besalú, whose territory at one point extended as far as Corbières, Aude, in France. Wilfred the Hairy, credited with the unification of Catalonia, was Count of Besalú.

The cobblestone streets, flanked by well-preserved medieval buildings, transport visitors back in time. Besalù is not only a feast for history enthusiasts but also offers delightful culinary experiences with its local Catalan cuisine. Girona's medieval walls are a fascinating remnant of the city's past, and offer walkers wonderful vantage points of the area. There are several entrances to the walled park, including an alley east of Girona Cathedral that leads into lush greenery. Nearby, you can climb up a spiral staircase inside Torre Gironella for an excellent lookout.

Massive old walls that's a must-visit. You can walk on the ground alongside the wall to appreciate its size, then climb the stairs up the wall on either side then walk atop the wall from one end to the other, taking in the views of Girona as you go by. Very beautiful scenery. The walls are a historical site in Girona, and I recommend their visit. You can see the entire city from up there, it's marvelous. Physically disadvantaged people probably couldn't walk there. There are multiple towers around, that let you go even higher.

Take a slow walk here in the late afternoon and bask in the sights of Girona. The sights are splendid and it doesn't cost anything!

Beautiful walk. And free! A MUST while visiting Girona. It was a fun surprise when I learned Game of Thrones was filmed here too. I assumed it was all filmed in Croatia. Great town. Plenty of gelato, shops and dining. Worth a visit when leaving Dali in FIGUERES on the way back to Barcelona.

Along with the Cathedral, a must-visit in Girona! The views of the whole city and the mountains it's surrounded by are incredible. Also, it's free. The only minus is the smell, especially near the towers - it stinks of urine / feces there.
Girona Cathedral is a large, impressive building made of many different styles of architecture. It is one of the most famous and popular tourist destinations in the region. The cathedral has a wide Gothic nave that is larger than any other Gothic church in the world.
One of the most important cathedrals in Europe. a very interesting place that is worth the detour. Not to be missed, the carpet of creation. one of the most beautiful pieces of art you can see. Wonderful

Girona was originally on my plan, on my way to Barcelona to Marseille, I made a stop for lunch, and the quick lunch turned out to be a whole afternoon leisure. I stayed at the Cathedral of Girona for over 2.5 hours, appreciating its architecture wonder. It has the widest nave of 23 meters for any cathedral in the world. It also collected the tapestry of creation treasure, the 1000 year old tapestry was still having the brightest colors you could imagine, with the design and story behind the tapestry. It is truly a masterpiece collection! The cathedral was very quiet on a Monday afternoon, only less than a dozen people inside. I was a very pleasant surprise visit of the cathedral! 🙏🙏🙏Cheers!😃😃😃

An impressive cathedral. As you climb the many steps to the entrance, you are in awe of this beautiful and grand building. Part of the Game of Thrones series was also filmed here. Nice little town.

This church in Girona is truly majestic and one of the main attractions for visitors. It is one of the best churches I have seen in Europe. The Cathedral of Girona is a thousand-year-old building famous for its historical significance and its appearances in film and television. The building is located at the highest point of the old city of Girona, known as the "Old Force," and is protected by a set of walls and ramparts. The Gothic nave, tower of Charlemagne, cloister, and sacristy remain from its Romanesque period in the mid-11th century.
Patrick Min — Google review
The ‘Catedral de Girona’ is one the most impressive architectural buildings in the whole region. The church lays imposing at the top of a beautiful, long staircase - the best spot for portrait pictures, of course. I recommend going early to avoid too much wait.
Flavio Pimentel — Google review
This Gothic Cathedral is certainly a sight to behold. Beyond its beauty, it is so rich in history, so be sure to pick up an audio guide on your way in. Entrance is 7 euros, which includes entrance to the basilica as well. The Cathedral has many beautiful and majestic pieces of tapestry draped over its walls, so take your time to enjoy that and the rest of the art displayed throughout the space. Definitely a must-visit during your stay in Girona.
Ivan Loh — Google review
WOW! This is the widest cathedral I have ever seen. It's the second widest in the world, after St. Peter's basilica in Vatican! Its dimensions hit you when you arrive in the square, it's enormously beautiful. The painted glass windows are exquisite, very well maintained. Take the audio guide, it's free and very informative.
Aurelia Ghenuche — Google review
Stunning cathedral, really glad I decided to go in! (versus only taking a photo of the famous steps) It's the tallest cathedral nave in Europe and has amazing stained glass. The audio guide is great and included with ticket entry. They also do student discount. Come in the afternoon to avoid the crowds, as the coach tours have gone home in the afternoon and there's several cafes still open in Girona at that time.

Visiting the Girona Cathedral is a must if you're in Girona. I visited other great churches and cathedrals throughout my travels, but for some reason, this one took my breath away as soon as I walked through the door. It must be the sound of the organ playing, mixed with the dark setting and the overwhelming size of the interior. It's hard to describe. You have to see it for yourself!
JF Piché — Google review
One of the most important cathedrals in Europe, it is simply impressive. Being a fan of Game of Thrones, I had to visit it. It was a great experience to see it laying at the top of a gorgeous, long staircase. This is definitely a must-see place in Girona! I would love to come back soon, probably not in Temps of Flors due to the amount of people.

Beautiful cathedral! Amazing architecture! It’s located right on top of the hill, so the roof can be seen from far away. It’s surrounded by small cafes, so you could have a drink and enjoy the architecture.

Beautiful gothic cathedral. Popular due to Game of Thrones, but inside is where most of the beauty is. Love their stained glass of St Michael Archangel, the huge tapestry, the cloister with a tower of lombard design. Just beautiful.

Went to Girona in November 2023 for a University Trip, was absolutely gorgeous and so quiet even though it was a Thursday! 100% recommend if you want a holiday without all the noisy tourists, a lot of steep hills and walking so if you’re a bit older or have a few kids probably not great but if you don’t mind the walking it’s a lovely area, plenty of shops and cafes further back in the towny area, this was about a 15-25 min walk from the shops and stuff but that area wasn’t horrifically crowded, pretty average I would say, so overall a lovely area and perfect for travels ^^

This place is absolutely breathtaking, so massive and immense! Definitely take a walk to the gardens above it, just to get various views of the Cathedral. It made our visit even more special and memorable knowing that some scenes of Game of Thrones were filmed here.

The cathedral is the jewel in the crown, the old town is steeped in history with it's many narrow streets and tall buildings but sitting high above them all is the magnificently built Cathedral, the entrance ticket is 7.50 euros as of November 2023, and it is worth paying just from the visual aspect, but will the tickets price you get an electronic guide that you hold up to your ear, thankfully these ones work really well and easy to use and the information is clear and short and very well explained, so give it a big thumbs up

Better come early as the entrance closes pretty early as well. However still good to see from outside especially during sunset. Gorgeous view. Need a bit of walking as the streets were really narrow.
This museum tells the story of Judaism in Girona, Catalunya, through exhibits on religion and culture. There is also a gift shop where visitors can purchase items related to the Jewish community. The museum is proud of its Jewish heritage and does not shy away from less salubrious aspects of history such as Inquisition persecution and forced conversions.
Nearly all artifact explanations in three languages. Provided otherwise hard to find site based insight regarding the brief two centuries peace before the 1492-3 persecutions. Steep Geography of Surrounding neighborhoods compliment the depictions of daily 14th C living in exhibits.

An interesting museum to visit while in Girona. Use the audio guide to learn about the tragic history of the Jews in Girona and in Spain in general. The museum is laid out in different section so you can learn about the life of the Jewish community, traditions and ceremonies for many centuries ago.

I visited this Museo on 18/12/22. Weeks later I find myself still reflecting on it. I’ve been to similar museums but ultimately I found this one rather exceptional. It has great information and translations are in Castellano, Catalán, and English. I would allow for 45min to 1.5 hr for the visit. Additionally the very sweet and kind lady work the desk first thing in morning was delightful and professional. Make this a stop if your in Griona.

This was one of the museums I definitely wanted to visit while being in Girona. Extremely interesting, very well located and have 2 exhibitions: one temporary (which is free) and the permanent (2-4 euros/person). The temporary is not available in English, only the handbook, but the permanent can be followed in English. Walking through history, with the amazing audio guide I understood more about Jewish people and their culture and past. 10/10 recommend!

Castillo de Tossa de Mar is a large and well-preserved castle with extensive fortification walls, numerous towers, and a courtyard. The town of Tossa de Mar is located on the Costa Brava in Catalonia, between rocky outcrops and tree-studded hills, blending the modern comforts of resorts with an authentically old-world local charm.
One of my favorite places in Catalonia. This sea city features everything you need for a fun and relaxing weekend. Beaches are clean and spacious with Tiki bars, and restaurants all around the town. The views are absolutely amazing no matter where you go. Going up hill is a fantastic experience whether by train or on foot. Every step you take has a view. Although there are few ruins left of the ancient fortress, you still can appreciate the walls and towers which surround it. There's a nice little restaurant half way up the top of the hill, and another one where the light house stands at. There's also a cute museum with nice little things found in the area. Don't miss taking a picture with Ava Gardner's sculpture and the little chapel behind it and on the way back you can follow a different path with stone covered streets which lead to all the traditional restaurants and shops and don't forget to wear comfortable shoes to climb up the stairs along the walls.

Tossa de Mar has no direct train from Barcelona, you have to go to Gerona or Calella and travel onwards from there.
Parts of the old town date back to the 1600's with what I would describe as 'typical' Spanish architecture. The basement of the museum in the castle dates back to Roman times where there was a villa. As can be seen from the pictures there is the original mosaic.
There are beautiful views across the bay from the top of the castle and is worth the walk.

There isn't any fee to enter the castle. There are direct Buses to Tossa de mar from Barcelona, operated by Moventis, I don't know about the prices, but it should be around 10-15 Euros. If you want to travel from Girona, then you have to take bus till Lloret de mar (One way price 6,05, takes 1 hour) and then lloret de mar to Tossa de mar (takes 25-30 minutes, one way price 2.4 Euros). Fageda d'en Jordà is a magical beech forest with 20-meter-tall trees, thriving on the fertile lava from Croscat volcano in a national park. This mystical and quiet place, surrounded by volcanoes, has been immortalized by poets and is perfect for leisurely exploration on foot, bike, or horseback. The forest is particularly enchanting in autumn when the leaves turn red and golden.
Stunning walk in a beautiful forest.
It is very easy in term of effort and with the mixture of volcanic craters, it’s definitely an experience you don’t want to miss.

Beautiful and really accessible forest for walkers and cyclists alike. It has car park and there are several routes in the area that you may connect depending on how much time you have or the effort you may want to do.
Guillermo Molina Burguera — Google review
I read somewhere that it is possible to reach the forrest walking from Olot and I did that. I would rather not do it again 😅 it's a really long way! You may either choose some forrest paths (but then expect a lot of insects and some confusion) or walk aside the main road (but then the pavement is there only half of the way, for the rest of time you must watch your step).
The forrest itself is nice and soothing. Also, you can refill your water bottle in the toilet by the parking (the place looks like out of order, but it's actually functioning).

Magical autumn experience in a beautiful part of the world. Try the circuit from la Fageda through the forests to the Santa Maria chapel in the first volcano then on to the second, Cosco, before heading back to the car. Takes about 4 hours with a break, best done early-mid November to experience all the colours of autumn in Olot!

Beautiful place to visit. Best time of the year is autumn when you can enjoy colorfully the trees. You can either walk or rent a pony ride.

Absolutely beautiful forest to get lost. This magical place is even prettier in autumn when the leaves fall and the color of the ground fades to red and golden. It’s free to visit and you can even start some hiking trails from there (the whole place is located in a volcanic parks area). Make sure not to support the guys with the pony rides since it’s animal abuse. Apart from that, don’t miss the chance to explore this place.

Platja de Lloret de Mar is a beautiful and popular beach with a large bay. The sandy shore can be busy, and the water has surprisingly large waves that deepen quickly. There's a steep drop-off from the beach to the sea, making it less suitable for small children. However, there are calmer areas near Castel d'en Plaja and in the evenings.
It's a very nice beach with lots of entertainment, bars and restaurants. Very clean water, but watch your kids when it is wavy. It's deep in a couple of metres.

Totally recommendable to take the car and go to wherever it is sure that it is cleaner.

Came here for the day, stayed in one little area! I really like this beach the sea is quite clear, the sand is quite rough and hard to walk on but it’s ok, there’s plenty to do, drinks and food nearby an aqua course, pedal boats, toilets and showering facilities nearby. the sun beds are €8 each and extra for umbrellas and has lovely views of the area. It’s relatively busy but not overly crowded. I would come back to this beach i’ve had a great day!

Decent beech, if not a little busy. I could not walk on the sand barefoot (VERY, very small pebbles), the beech has surprisingly large waves and the water gets deep quickly. There is a steep drop-off from beech to sea which, whilst good for landing small pleasure boats, is not good for small children. I (adult) was almost knocked off my feet by waves whilst walking along the shoreline. Up towards Castel d'en Plaja (rocky area), plus (generally) in the evenings, the drop-off/wave size was not as bad.

Traveled here on the local bus from Tossa Dr Mar.
Having got off at the main bus station it was not far to walk to the beach and along the cliff top path to climb up the rocky headline or further if you wish to.
Nice sandy edge inlet swimming shallows.
Well worth a day trip and worth the bus price.
Check before returning as I thought I bought a return ticket but was informed otherwise at the ticket office bus station when I enquired about this.
Nice scenic stroll along the promenade beach front and returned back to the bus station down the back streets.

Playa de Fenals is a city beach situated in the quiet and serene district of Lloret de Mar. It boasts of coarse white sand, crystal-clear water, lifeguards, toilets, lockers, and a range of water sports facilities for both kids and adults. The beach offers an array of water entertainment options such as boat trips, kayaking among others. Xaloc restaurant situated within the vicinity offers excellent culinary experiences to visitors.
The very best beach on Costa Brava. Really, if you ever wanted to go to Lloret de Mar, don't go to the city center, choose Fenals district as it's more silent, with very good Xaloc restaurant, clean beach and nice walking routes.

Nothing special. The best at this location is the rock formations on the right side of the beach, especially in summer late evening. Unfortunately too many R U PPL. I felt uncomfortable (little stalingrad). I will not back because of this.

In my opinion it's better than the main beach in Loretta de mar. It seems a bit classier and not as commercial. There are a few bars and restaurants if required. The entrance to the sea is steep at the south end and shallow at the north.

very nice but 7am in the morning you recognize the main objective of this small spot, party party fiesta 🤣 full of the leftovers from last nigt, outside the beach you smell urine allover. But it is beautiful, just the sand isn’t that fine as I am used to it. deserves almost five points as per beauty and view.

One of the best water parks I have ever been to. Quite challenging attractions fit for all levels of enjoyment from adrenaline kicks and dreamy relaxed.

If you have choice where to go, better chose Marineland, WaterWorld or Aquadiver. This place is not well organized for the visitors and too crowded: no benches to sit, no grass where you can rest and the water is quite dirty in all pools.
Sasha Poltaeva — Google review
Pros:
- staff is pretty nice
- big area with relatively diverse pools and slides
- nice picnic area
- you can bring your own food
Cons
- it's closed by 5:45 pm !!
- some rules are weird and illogical (having to go round places with no reason)
- food is overpriced
- some slides will cut you
3 stars overall, mostly because of the hours. You spend 100 euros for a family and they close at 5:45! The best time of the day they close everything! And you spend most of the little time you have inside waiting in lines. Other waterparks in Europe close at 9 or 10 in the summertime (some slides can be closed earlier, but not access to the pools).
Worth it as a first experience, but probably won't come back too soon.

It is a water park located just 30 minutes away from Barcelona by bus. It boasts a wide range of slides and games suitable for both children and adults.
There are many people present, and although you don't bump into people, some slides have extensive queues throughout the entire day, so you might not be able to enjoy all the slides.
There are various dining options available in the park that cater to those who need gluten-free food. Additionally, visitors can make use of designated areas for barbecuing, shaded spots, and lockers for storage.
Recommended going.
Maria Laura Orellana — Google review
Nice friendly staff who tried speaking English when they heard someone speaking Spanish with an accent. Not very long lines. A couple cautions: many steep hot slippery walkways, while sandles cannot be worn on the slides some type of foot protection is advised. The system of carrying the floats up the hill should be redesigned--at the very least do not require the guests to climb stairs to retrieve the float and then carry it down the wet steps. This is dangerous and easily fixed. We went for the afternoon session, 4 hours was enough. Parking was good and free.

The Illa Fantasia Water Park was the site for 36 hour long music, pool time, and amusement park activities which was part of the Barcelona Circuit Festival 2023. At the end of the day, the remaining few thousand attendees were guided into a small arena where disc jockeys entertained the crowd, who got carried away with the sensual ambiance, so they were lots of small groups going at it until dawn.

Overall, ok. Lots of people but also lots of space. Good picnic area, a good variety of water slides, but it would be ideal if they had more slides for younger children/under 5 year old. The taking of pictures by staff was a bit much, but overall, I ended up buying some nice photos to take home.
Natasha Simms — Google review
It is really slippery, so be extra careful. Use a lot of sunscrean. Locals bring lunch with them and occupy tables in the pine forest as soon as they come. But burgers a good too snd cost up to 14 for a menue with huge burger, chips and a drink.
The slides are plenty and fun. Queues are the same in any water park this time of a year
Olga Novikova — Google review
Booked online, arrived at opening time. Very quiet; no waiting around (although it was a Monday morning but still in school holiday times). Lots of slides and pools to keep busy, generally very tidy and clean. Water is a bit cooler than we're used to, but it was nice and refreshing and not uncomfortable.
The only slight issue was for some reason the shuttle bus isn't free for this season but I didn't notice that until I had already got on! Food was good and reasonably priced, would definitely recommend especially if you have children
Rachel Tomsett — Google review
It's OK, especially for kids. However drinks and food are expensive once in. Place could do with a lick of paint, but this doesn't detract for the experience from children. Best to do as separates away from organised day trips.
Matthew Reynolds — Google review
Not too bad but I wouldn't see it visiting on daily basis. I thought there are more attractions but there aren't. Only one attractions with inflatable rings but the wait was for me beyond doable. Artificial waves pool runs every 30 minutes but there is 2 hours no waves between 1pm to 3pm for some reasons. Really nice is to be able to bring your own picnic in a cool box of up to 40 liters and there are enough tables under canopies to enjoy the shade. For me what is offered seems the price tag rather high. Recommended are shoes because the concrete and tiles between pools are very hot and rough. For very little kids there is a great water tower to explore, my kids had fun therr and I just tagged along. Snack prices and ice cream prices are high as expected. I just expected to see more (art and sculptures or fountains and also to do more without so many queues everywhere.

The Sagrada Familia, a controversial and majestic unfinished Roman Catholic basilica in Barcelona's Example district, is an iconic UNESCO World Heritage site. Designed by renowned architect Antoni Gaudi, it stands as a testament to his unique vision and artistic genius. Combining late Spanish Gothic, Catalan Modernism, and Art Nouveau styles, the basilica aims to depict the life of Jesus and the history of faith.
If you come to Barcelona, go here! It might feel like a hefty price tag for a cathedral entrance in Europe, but it is 100% worth it!
The church is gorgeous outside, but the superstar is the inside. It literally took my breath away. Huge and clean and with capacity restrictions, it doesn't feel packed full of people.

In addition to being a stunning structure the process to enter is very easy. Easiest attraction I’ve ever been to. Show your ticket and go through security. Then your tickets get scanned and you can start the audio tour with your app. The tour leads to the museum and never fear - it leads you back to the Nativity facade where you started so you can look through again before leaving. I appreciated that it was not super busy - they didn’t seem to pack people in like i have experienced at other religious sites *cough* the Vatican * cough* but I can obviously only comment on the day I attended. The inside of the Sagrada is extremely beautiful. Bathed in light it feels calm even with all the people there with you. Amazing.
Note: you must buy your tickets online and have the app to enter.

Amazing of course. I particularly liked the way the light came through the various windows. Cool colors on one side and warm on the other. Every detail, such as the colors or proportions of the hall have meaning. Leave time for the quite extensive and interesting museum in the basement. The queues and security process are quite well organized and people working there are pleasant, asking you which language you would prefer to speak with them. Some airport operations could take away lessons from these nice but efficient and professional folks. I was very impressed by the amount of progress since my other visit, in 1983! There was no color ( just stone) and not really any fully enclosed spaces then. I hope to come back in another 40 years!

It's incredible and incredibly beautiful. If you come to Barcelona, you should definitely plan to visit the Sagrada Familia. It's best to buy tickets online so that you can get in and be sure of your preferred time. The best time, in my opinion, is in the afternoon, when the sun shines through the windows and the colours come into their own. A visit to the towers is also recommended. We went up the passion tower and had a great view to the ocean side and sun setting.

As an architect, Sagrada was a dream come true to experience. I recommend booking tickets in advance to secure your spot according to your preferred time slot. Personally, I’d advise mid to late afternoon is, however during peak season it’ll constantly be busy.
I’d suggest sure to allocate around 3-4 hours to explore and soak in the sheer size, history and detailing of the structure - both internally and externally. Lastly, make sure to download the Sagrada app beforehand, to follow the audio guide as your explore on foot.

Must visit. Our guide said we had really good sun that day so it really depends on the good weather to enjoy the kaleidoscope colours illuminated into the church!
If you like cool colours like blue and green, come in when the morning light shines. If you like warm colours of autumn, come towards sunset timings.
Suggest to join the tour to learn the significance of each structure. It looks complicated n stern but is filled with symbolism and stories. Wonderful.

Breathtaking experience. You expect a classical church but this is completely different. Modern and classical art combined. No boring golden altars or statues but brilliant architecture and philosophy of a genius. The best monument i have ever visit. The 45 min audio guide (there is also an 25 min express option) is a very inspiring and extremely informative enabler. I fully recommend it, it makes the experience complete and gives you all the astonishing context to really enjoy this piece of art.

A amazing building, but also a very expensive exhibit. The app was very well designed and the ticket sharing was also high quality. May I suggest providing a more detailed audio guide in the app for those people wanting even more detail, including for those walking around the outside and the towers. The towers were also very limited in the length of the walk, which was not well communicated. Very friendly staff and an astonishing space.

Exceeded my expectations. Pictures don't do it justice. We bought tickets ahead, and went when it opened. There was no waiting or crowds for the first hour. It was quite busy when we left, so glad we took the approach we did. Absolutely loved the free audio guide/app, it describes things like how Gaudi used nature as inspiration. The columns, for example, look like trees. The reflection of the colorful sunlight through the glass onto the floor, ceiling and columns is absolutely breathtaking. Don't forget the museum downstairs.

Needless to say, this place is a must see in Barcelona. Regardless of your religion, you would enjoy the great architecture of the place. The place is truly unique and does not resemble any other church. You have to order tickets in advance and I highly recommend adding one of the church’s towers to your visit. Absolutely breathtaking, I have never seen anything like it! The immense amount of thought behind every little detail is incredible, the audio guide was really good for getting all the information. This is a monumental place steeped in history. The building's architecture is breathtaking and arguably one of the best in the world. Rich in history, you can feel its significance when you step inside. Make sure to bring headphones to listen to the audio recordings if you're visiting alone without a tour guide (as they can be expensive). Arrive early and book tickets in advance, and try to avoid weekends if possible. Restrooms are located outside along the side wall.

You already know how amazing this was. I wasn’t that excited about going to “another cathedral,” but this was totally different. It was modern and more a work of science than art. I mean so cool. Stunning unfinished cathedral. The inside is the opposite of a normal „boring“ church and really brings a special beauty into this building. There is a reason why Gaudi is called one of the history‘s greatest architects. The whole concept is so creative that even I‘m not a big fan of churches was impressed and spent longer than expected here. Would also recommend the passion tower facade to climb.

I know it’s top attraction of Barcelona, but I am not 100% sure I totally enjoyed and understood such a mixture of different styles and ideas. You definitely need to go around just to get an idea, and it’s up to you to decide how you like it. We couldn’t get in as all online tickets were sold even for the upcoming several weeks. Some people say it’s more beautiful inside than outside, so I guess it’s for the next time. What a beautiful experience it was to have visited this place. The outside of the cathedral is amazing no doubt, but the interior just touched my soul. I literally couldn’t hold my tears back when I saw where Gaudi’s crypt was. To have imagined and made such a surreal masterpiece, is beyond my imagination. No wonder his work is so popular and that he was so well respected and loved. It is a beautiful piece of art, must visit. Every penny & second invested was worth it!

A must see in Barcelona! Definitely purchase a guided tour well in advance to make sure you get in and to learn about the history. Because we had a scheduled tour at 9 am, we did not have to wait in a line to enter.
We did the optional tower tour, which I found well worth the cost and the time. The spiral staircase coming down is quite narrow and steep. I recommend putting any bag you may have in one of the lockers and having your hands free when you descend.
Allow 2 to 3 hours for the visit.
I can't begin to describe how beautiful the stained glass is and how inspiring the design and architecture are.

Park Güell, located in Barcelona's Gracia district, is a renowned attraction showcasing the artistic brilliance of Antoni Gaudi. This verdant park, with its mosaic-covered buildings, sculptures, and staircases, offers panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. Originally designed as an upscale residential complex by Eusebio Guell, it was transformed into a public park in 1926. The park combines natural beauty with Gaudi's distinctive style, fusing architecture seamlessly with nature.
This park has some great view of whole city and also all in sudden you feel like you are some different world surrounded by palm trees. I don't know how to describe the architecture of this place but it looks like to me like I am in Morocco. It's beautiful.
Sonika Prakash — Google review
The park sits on a hill top which provides a spectacular view over the city. The architecture, the design of the rocks , the benches decorated with colorful mosaic were beautiful and unique. The entrance fee is a reasonable €10.
But be aware it requires quite some walks. From the metro station it is about 15 minutes walks. There are lots of stairs to climb. Although there are escalators from the street to the park entrance, some sections do not work so you will have to take the stairs. After we reached to the top of the stairs, there is no clear sigh pointing to the park entrance. We ended up going to a wrong entrance which is for residents only. In the park some sections are not accessible so you will have to return back. The park could do a better job with signage.

The park is rich in trees and clean. No map is provided at the entrance. It was suggested to use the app. Routes are not all suitable to pass from if you have a stroller or wheelchair. There is a slope at the beginning and a good number of steps are to be taken to visit and access the whole park. In my opinion I think it should be free to go inside. There are no animals so far. I saw only pigeons and three small parrots flying around. The restaurant inside was fully packed and the service is slow and the servers needs attention. Food is not expensive however the portions are small. It would be wiser to take a packed lunch with you. Take a good walking shoes and non slippery.

We had a local take us through the park and its important sights. We were here around sunset and ended up getting some great lighting as we hiked through the beautiful columns, the mosaics and sculptures. Whether you want to take in the history, the freshness, the quiet away from the city, or just walk around, this place has it all to provide a relaxing atmosphere.

What an amazing experience strolling through this park. Was somewhat busy for early January but still pleasant. Park was clean, well maintained, and provided lots of pathways for all abilities. This park has many unique features, architecture, and plenty of opportunities to explore the natural environment. Great place to sit and relax and enjoy a bite to eat.
Highly recommend visiting this site when visiting Barcelona, Spain!

This place is amazing. It had a beautiful nature park and it has also amazing architecture to see. The sad part is that you have to pay extra to visit the museum. When going make sure to buy tickets ahead to avoid not getting in. But if you have a chance then definitely visit this place!

When you go here, prepare like for a small hike, as this place is up on a steep hill and it's a big garden you need time to explore fully. Make sure to grab the map at the entrance.
The garden is big and has many sights to see, it is advisable to come here either in the morning or as out of season as you can, otherwise you can't see much of the sights due to tourists.
The architecture is impressive and placed perfectly around the park.

Absolute beautiful place to walk around. I loved the experience. The views are amazing, all over the city. Bring loads of water. There is a good few steep steps to climb, although thats to be expected . 10/10. Would definitely go back.

This is a renowned and picturesque park, masterfully designed by the legendary Antoni Gaudí. Its ideal location in the heart of Barcelona provides easy access via public transportation. It's a perfect destination for a day out with friends and family or a peaceful retreat if you're venturing alone.

So beautiful! Definitely get tickets in advance. I waited too long and ended up having to do a tour in order to get in. I really enjoyed the tour and the overall scenery. The cafe was super crowded, as was the main bathroom. Worth it though! Also, there are multiple entrances so make sure you go to the correct one!
Lexy McCauley — Google review
Quirky place. Beautiful..buy tickets in advance. Also, plan for all of the hills, if you walk there and back. Depending on which direction you're coming from, there may be very steep hills or hundreds of stairs. The architecture is beautiful. Don't miss it.

It’s always a breathtaking experience coming here. As an architecture student it’s one of my favorite places to go. I definitely advice a guided tour and you will get to know all the details about this magical place instead of just going yourself and take a lot of photos. Take your time and walk around not only the colorful part of it but also the raw earthy side of the park.
Nathalia Hermida — Google review
This park is just so incredibly unique and beautiful. I could have wandered around there all day. The park itself is cool enough, but it also provides some spectacular views of the city. There was a flamenco performer and musician there when we went. The park can get crowded and tickets sell out, so be sure to reserve in advance
Joy Alvarez — Google review
The ticket it's cheap, the experience and the view are amazing. I was at the beginning of February and it's was crowded but not so much like we could still take photos, enjoy the nature and the view. Like most part of the city, the did some reconstruction so the museum in the building was closed. But the park is amazing, must see.

This place is a fantastic spot to walk around and see incredible views of the city. The park has many sights and provides many areas where you can rest, stop and take in the views. Tons of opportunities for good pictures as well. Highly recommend if you come to Barcelona.

Park Güell is set on a hill with nice views over the city. Entrance is 10 Euros but there is lots of interesting architecture to see and walks to go on within the compounds of the park. I would highly recommend a visit but beware some of the walks are quite physically demanding.
Daniel Lhear — Google review
An absolutely incredible park with some amazing structures and mosaics by Gaudi. We somehow went to an entrance which was at the back of the park up a massive hill, so I wouldn't recommend going to that entrance if you have a problem walking up very steep steps in the heat. The rest of the park was absolutely gorgeous, you could spend all day there.
Rosa Brown — Google review
Lovely place but be prepared for a long walk. Take plenty of water on a sunny/hot day. Fantastic views of the city from several places. Has many well built walkway bridges to admire. Nice tiles mosaics view point. For those with walking difficulties, this will be hard.

Is really a masterpiece. Every corner, every inch is unique. Very very impressive structure and worth visiting. Actually is a MUST visiting place in Barcelona. I recommend to have a tour guide with you to explain the hidden futures of the structure and the engineering behind it. Book your tickets in advance!
Aris P — Google review
A wonderful experience, slightly different than almost 20 years ago when I saw it for the first time as you need to pay an entrance fee and most importantly you must book in advance as it sells out easily. A different type of park where the nature gets Gaudi's touch. Highly recommended.
Oana duplea — Google review
It is a shame a 'park' is being turned into a tourist attraction with gated entry. Would've been the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon if not for
i) the traveling time/cost
ii) ticket costs, and
iii) dealing with massive crowds
Manage your expectations and you might have an enjoyable experience
Chi Kit Wong — Google review
Walking shoes are a must.
The entry is on the right of the grand entrance. There are many ways to follow and look around. This amazing park. The grandeur, the architecture, the views and the photographs you can take are just spectacular.
There is a cafeteria and WC so you're sorted for the next few hours.
CINDY DSILVA — Google review
Book the earliest tickets. When entering the park(entrance #3 -the most easiest way to walk-downhill), go straight to “ginger houses”. It will be a huge queue after 9:30 there. So, I recommend to visit them first, then - walk through the park. Even in rainy weather in March, this place is worth to visit!
Milana K — Google review
This is a chance to experience a creative view of architecture. The gardens are great to walk through, and the views across Barcelona are unrivalled. I booked my ticket online, and witnessed that anyone trying to get in without one were out of luck because they were 'sold out'.

OMG! I can't say enough amazing stuff about this place!!! It was so interesting learning about the original plans for the park and seeing all the amazing designs. I LOVED IT! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Barcelona.
We got there early, which I recommend to attempt to beat some of the crowd. It fills up quickly. If you want to take pictures, get there before it opens and stand in line. When I go back, I'll know what areas to go to first because the area really does fill up fast.
I scheduled about two hours for us to spend there and wish I'd done more. In fact, I'd at least double that if you enjoy architecture and being outdoors even a little.
There's also a small bakery on site so you can grab a bite while you wander.
Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is a WINNER!

Definitely worth a visit. We got there by bus from the city. We visited it in February. Beautiful setting, I can only imagine what it looks like in spring/summer. Fascinating to experience the three viaducts, impressive small buildings with quirky details. Really nice place. The cafe had a reasonably nice selection at good prices. I will be back.

This park is a delight to walk around, there are different things to see to add to your enjoyment.
The benches to sit on are unique and done in Gaudi's style with lots of small tile pieces.
There is a very nice picnic area with benches to sit at.
There is only one cafe that we could see which was very pricey and best avoided.
There is an entry fee to enter the park so bear this in mind.
Chris Mcloughlin — Google review
Nice park with a picturesque view of Barcelona. Odd architecture and vegetation. Weather was not so nice, but even though the landscapes were beautiful. Buy your ticket in advance to avoid queues.

Another architectural masterpiece that cannot be overlooked. Highly recommended. Amazing view to the city as well. Make sure you get your tickets online and in advance. Will be more beautiful in a sunny day. Make sure to save some time to sit, relax and enjoy the view of the city.
Ali Lari — Google review
The place is unique and the architecture is interesting. The place looks nicer in reality and pictures kinds don't make the place justice.
The disadvantage is that the place is almost always crowded, the if you want to take pictures in the main spots, you will most probably have to wait in a queue for a few, or if unlucky, for over 10-15 minutes.
I'd say it's worth visiting if you are patient and not in a rush.
La Rambla is a famous tree-lined pedestrian walkway in Barcelona that is often filled with street festivals and historic buildings. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city, and has been a target of terrorist attacks in recent years. The wide boulevard is flanked by plane trees and congested every day until the early hours of the morning with a wide cross-section of society.
Crowded street in a good area. Worth walking thru to get to your next tourist destination

Designed by architect Antoni Gaudi, Casa Batllo is a renowned historical landmark and museum situated on Barcelona's vibrant Passeig de Gracia boulevard. This exquisite Modernista masterpiece, transformed from an apartment block to a museum, mesmerizes visitors with its enchanting dragon-roofed structure.
Absolutely stunning architecture, full of amazing shapes, curves and colors. Walking inside the building feels like wandering in a romantic aquarium. The video guide is also very helpful and fun to play with. Try to get your ticket in advance, so you don’t need to pay extra for the gold ticket.

Very educational and inspirational experience. The audio guide made the experience even more fun. There several types of entrance tickets, but do not think the ticket with the AR tablet is necessary unless you are going with young children. Make sure to bring your own earphones!
Cristina Chun — Google review
Strange building, one of the strongest attractions in the city, if you have come all this way, it's a good idea to ride the metro for a look.
Organic inspired structure that flows and ebbs.
A visual feast for the eyes, you can stand a while and take it in, if your up for it, purchase a ticket and take a look inside.
Steven stennett — Google review
A unique architectural experience. If you can afford it it's worth upgrading your ticket to get the augmented reality tablet and the cube experience. They do have a lift if needed but it's very small and does interfere with the audio tours flow around the house. Also, if you want to avoid the queue to enter pre book the ticket.

This place is incredible, I cannot imagine someone designing and created it since the 1900s, must be a forward thinker! I was amazed by its beauty, and all every single details of the house. I got a Silver ticket, which allowed you ti skip lines and has access to some areas that the Blue ticket does not. This place was recognized as World Heritage Site, although the money we paid was pretty high, 36€, they say it is dedicated to renovation plan of the house, so I guess it was worth it. Highly recommend buying a book about Gaudi in the end of the tour!

Another amazing Gaudi’s creation - this Casa is like a miracle in the heart of the city! The details, the materials, the ideas- incredible. And when you get to the top you see the chimneys that look beautiful. The central one looks like a dragon with its multicoloured scales. And there is a bar on the top so you can sit, rest and admire all this beauty. There is an option that you can take a photo on one of the balconies and it is a great opportunity to create more unforgettable memories.

This was a highlight of our trip in Barcelona! Beautiful, bold, and innovative. I recommend including the video/audio to your tour. Fun visuals of both fantasy and how the rooms may have been furnished when the family lived there. Increased our appreciation of the spirit and history of the place. We went early in the morning as it was less crowded and the morning sunlight shines on the front of the house which highlights it stunning colors. So glad the place is preserved and available to the public. Allow 2-3 hours to enjoy the house. Get tickets in advance as they sell out.
Judith Breisch — Google review
We went in the morning, and it was beautiful! The cheapest level (blue?) is all you need to enjoy the tour. The audio guide was great. The house is amazing! Worth visiting.
Olivia H — Google review
If you like architecture you'll love this building, if you don't like architecture you'll love this building. It is very expensive to get into, I did a group tour of a few of Gaudi buildings which worked out cheaper but you don't get to spend as long as you want on some of the buildings as there is A LOT to take in visually and informatively. The tour I did I thought was more informative as she mentioned some information that wasn't in handset of the self guided tour although she would've missed some things that would be in a self guided tour as well. Doing a tour you also skip the line which I did see was quite long as times.
Hope you enjoy the building as much as I did if you do see it

We so loved visiting Casa Batlló Highly recommend. The architecture and design are amazing. The virtual experience at the end is a great surprise to finish with. It’s about one and half hours to explore
Lisa Perry — Google review
The house is stunning, the experience novel, the price steep. We bought the Gold tickets (kids free) and it was worth the little extra to skip the line. You don't want to be in a crowd of people if you can avoid it. The audio guides were informative and the augmented reality tablets kept the kids engaged. The architecture is second-to-none, especially the woodwork.
Ben Lake — Google review
This is one of the best places to see in Barcelona. It was an amazing experience going inside with Gold level tickets that gives you full access to all rooms and a nice set of tablets with good headphones, plus you have a fast line pass.
They do not let you in earlier than your ticket time.
Roman Nagibin — Google review
A must visit, definitely worth the price. I wasn't sure what to expect but the audio tour and house in general is really awesome. I've never seen a house like it and it's very impressive.
The best part for me was the basement where they have a full room / screen experience to finish off the tour which is really good. Definitely a must visit for all Barcelona tourists.
Charles — Google review
Do recommend paying for the highest pass level you can afford (Blue < Silver < Gold), since the difference between Blue and Gold is only 29Euro vs 39Euro.
AND BUY TICKETS BEFOREHAND!
Check out the official site for the differences between pass levels (mainly AR tablet, Gaudi Dome, access to specific rooms, etc.)
Crowd management could've been done better, as all pass levels converge and you don't get special treatment once you're inside areas where everyone can access.
The team-lab-esque Gaudi dome experience was nice, although I can't say too relevant to the actual Casa. Worth the extra difference in pricing though
The casa is quite interesting, esp. considering it was an actual residence.

It's a very beautiful building, one of the most famous in Barcelona, with beautiful majolica on the walls designed by Gaudi. There is a terrace on the roof with a beautiful view of the neighborhood, you can take a "tourist" photo on the balcony and they will print it out and give you a digital version. It's such a stupid thing for tourists, but it costs 14€, I liked it. You should already have tickets, although if you come in the morning at 8-8.30 on weekdays, you won't have to stand in line for long. I also noticed a ticket office near the entrance to the building where you can buy 3 groups of tickets at once. And the "golden" group is very profitable! 6-7 houses for 60€. I liked it, I highly recommend it. One of my dreams))
P P — Google review
We purchased tickets online and were able to go right in. The gold package allowed us to see everything and included an informative interactive audio guide. It's beautiful inside and out. Just be patient as there were many visitors when we went and some areas in the home got congested. Highly recommend visiting.
Trudy Edwards — Google review
Great experience, however quite pricey! The audio tour was integrated seamlessly as you walk around the house and the house is truly beautiful and well preserved. For a one time experience I decided to pay the 35€, but maybe not worth it if you’re visiting Barcelona on a budget. There was no queue and no crowds when I visited on the 3rd of January, but I did get my ticket online.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
I was very disappointed with my visit to Casa Batlló. The place was overcrowded with people and I could barely see anything. The tickets were expensive and not worth it. The AC was not working properly and it was very hot and stuffy inside. The architecture was nothing special and I felt like I wasted my time and money. They sold ticket ten times more than building capacity , I do not recommend this place at all.
Alistair — Google review
Great spot to visit and is worth at least upgrading to silver. The line is shorter, and the interacting tablet is very cool and has some funny interaction. Make sure you don't miss or skip the last video! Was really cool and a highlight.
Zoe Lisson — Google review
Purchased the gold ticket which allowed direct access at chosen time. The tablet and headset were helpful to navigate the house. The house itself is a work of art - so beautiful, intricate and artistic. Definitely worth a visit. Thoroughly enjoyed the immersive experience in the 'cube' at the end of the tour.
Jessica Devine — Google review
I love this place. A lot of opportunities to take great pictures. It’s a good size so you could spend a lot of time here, just admiring the works of art. We did the silver pass, which featured almost everything the gold one does except for like one small area. It was very busy but not like shoulder to shoulder. Employees were nice and helpful. Plan to spend 3-5 hrs.

I visited Casa Batlló in 2021 and it still is undoubtedly one of the most stunning houses in the world. However, what Barcelona has achieved with this museum is truly remarkable. They have taken a regular museum visit and turned it into an unforgettable EXPERIENCE. The visuals, storytelling, and branding are all flawless. If you love museums and are creative, you cannot afford to miss this experience. I would visit it a thousand times and still be in awe of it, and fall in love deeply. I know it's pricey, but it's worth every single penny. Yes, buy the audio guide.

I’m impressed by all the work, art work, how creative and talented people can be. It’s definitely a must if you travel to Barcelona. I personally love the experience of seeing the Casa Batlló (and generally every work of art made by Gaudí). At least once in life you have to see it.😍
Lavie Anic — Google review
We were completely in awe of the architecture here. We were so grateful to have an audio tour we could follow at our own pace. If you don't want to hold the wand, you can plug in your own headphones. The building is beautiful and even though we took our time going through the building I'm sure we still missed stuff. I would recommend this stop when visiting Barcelona. There was even a balcony where you can get your picture taken and purchase it, and there were so many fun facts as you walked through each floor. Get tickets early to avoid large crowds and make sure to take pictures at night of the front of the building as the lighting changes colors and adds a spectacular new view of the Casa. Definitely buy your tickets ahead of time online to save time.
Even though they had a "cube" show at the end of the tour, please be aware of fast moving lights, and lots of moving video especially if you suffer from vertigo. It was a bit much for me because I get dizzy easily from this type of exhibit. But it's short and you aren't missing much if you skip this.

Casa Batlló is a stunning monument in Barcelona. The building's unique architecture makes it well worth a visit. Not being a big fan of monument tours, I absolutely loved this visit, it was very exciting and full of history. I recommend buying tickets in advance.

Architecture beyond compare! Indescribable, but I'll try.
Gaudí had amazing vision. He designed and had this home built to resemble nature and the sea. The attention to detail is exquisite. The wooden shell depicted on the stairway, the bubbles of glass everywhere catching the light, the blue hand-made tile surrounding the ventilation shafts that make you feel like you could be under water are all well thought out details that make Casa Batlló my favorite attraction this trip. Just beautiful and amazing too, the grandeur, without being pretentious.
Yes, it's busy with people but it's a self-guided tour so just being still for a bit allows you to see without too much interruption. If you go, I recommend you don't rush!

La Boqueria is a renowned indoor public market in Barcelona, close to Hotel Arc la Rambla. It is the city's oldest and largest gastronomic market, offering a wide variety of meat, produce, cheese, and exotic food items. With over 300 stalls representing different cultures, La Boqueria showcases the multiculturalism of Barcelona. Visitors can find traditional Catalan products as well as unique delicacies while immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere filled with charm and color.
Love this market, it's super busy as you'd expect, with not too much space to eat what you buy, but the quality is great in general everywhere here. You'll get food from everywhere and usually there's a fish market in the centre too (it wasn't open on the Monday when we went, but that just left us a little more space). You can buy dishes to eat there, or items to take home. Slightly more expensive of course, and very touristy, but a very large, high market area - excellent to wander around in, grab some delicacies and a beer or 2.

This had to be the coolest Mercado I’ve ever been. Very lively and colorful. They had mangoes that looked luxurious and juicy. I didn’t care to buy any as I don’t have a kitchen in my hotel room but they should really offer cut to order cause the produce looks amazing here. I recommend coming here.

A fun place to meander through the stalls! The market is filled with tons of options for fruit, fish, meats, if you think of it, they probably sell it. Surrounding the markets are a few cafes to sit down in as well. The chocolate covered strawberries were delicious! Perfect travel snack while you continue your shopping! 😂🍓🍫🛍️

It's a must if you like markets. You'll find good-quality local and international products. Some stands offer drinks (including wine) and small "tapas", that are not a typical Portuguese thing, but they allow you to try different dishes and preparations. If you have more of a sweet tooth, coffee and traditional sweets are also available. You can enjoy your meal while you discover the market or on the dedicated stands. The market is directly connected to a metro station and has public toilets on the different floors. Upstairs you'll also find restaurants.

Full of life, lots of variety and high quality foods. While warnings about pickpockets should certainly be taken seriously, we felt very safe and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Avoid the temptation to buy everything you see the first time walking through, and don’t feel pressured to buy or guilty about sampling, these are professional market vendors and it’s part of the deal!

The market was a fun experience. I recommend walking the entire market before choosing who to buy from because a lot of the vendors offer the same things for slightly different prices.
But you can choose your own adventure. You can grab a snack or eat a whole meal. There aren't many seats in the market itself, but there is a small plaza behind it with some benches where you can take your goodies.

This place was the mother of all markets. It’s so large with much local food and also variety. They also have vendors that cater to a number of dietary restrictions. The juices at every stand were my favorite part along with the fresh fruit. I consumed 2 juices and 2 main dishes and my friend downed 4 juices herself easily. I highly recommend trying the exotic fruit options and fresh meals!

The best market we visited in Spain. Despite being so popular, the prices are honestly decent. We tried a large selection of items, including raw oysters, paella, steak strips, fruit juices, olives, fried seafood, amongst others. The 100% best thing was the raw oysters. It was €10 for 4, Spanish or French oysters. They were delicious and juicy, tasted so fresh and we were able to add tabasco/vinegar amongst other sauces provided. There are tons of stalls offering oysters and probably all sourced from the same place. The fruit juices were also amazing, for €2.50 it was delicious but the portion was quite small. I'd recommend trying one of the more unique mixes such as coconut. We wanted to come back a second time but never got the chance.

This place is great. Like a big market for many things. Seafood, food, souvenirs, and plenty of other things. Tried the chicken skewers and they were pretty good, well seasoned. Lot of people so one might have to squeeze through to get through some areas. Great experience.

what an awesome experience! Loved everything about this place. The variations of different things to buy and eat are tremendous. Everything from fruits to meats to seafood. All available fresh and in an outdoor market experience. I tried so many different things I can't name em all. The service from all the shop owners was friendly and prompt. They are Helpful if you are unsure of what your getting. The location is open air so gives you the feeling of a farmers market. Everyone I went to accepted credit cards so it was very convenient. There are plenty of small restaurants all around the market to sit and enjoy a cold sangria at so make sure you choose one. Overall great place to make part of your trip while in Barcelona.

You HAVE to go here if you are in Barcelona! I could have probably stayed in this market for my entire trip and been happy. There is so much to see and food to try! It can become very crowded but I found that it was very pleasant still. Everyone was very nice and the vendors are good at their jobs!
We tried a lot of food as we walked around and snacked and it was a great time. Keep your receipts though, they let you go into the bathroom for free! Otherwise, it’s one euro.

A bustling food market renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse culinary offerings. We are treated to a sensory feast as we stroll through the market's aisles, encountering colorful displays of fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, meats, cheeses, and spices.
The market's stalls and counters offer an array of prepared foods, including traditional Spanish tapas, freshly squeezed juices, artisanal chocolates, and more. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or seeking ingredients for a gourmet meal, this market has something to satisfy every palate.
While the market can get crowded, especially during peak hours, the energy and excitement only add to its charm. We appreciate the opportunity to interact with local vendors and sample authentic Catalan cuisine.
Overall, a memorable culinary experience that captures the essence of Spanish gastronomy.

A food lovers dream!! So many good options here and such good quality! Fresh seafood and fresh fruits. From raw oysters to chocolate strawberries. From jamon to to dried fruits. Stalls after stalls of tapas. Everything looks clean and delicious!

Eye candy, really great place for your soul to jump for joy. There’s so much food and color all over that you have plenty of choices. I saw this place transform over the years from mainly having jamon to now getting more and more healthy options like smoothies, salads and nut bars. Go and see it for yourself, if you don’t buy anything just enjoy the ride!

A must of you are in Barcelona!! Wonderful variety of local produce, from ham to cheese to olives to bars with sea food there is nothing that you crave that you won't find here! You will also find all the different fruits and chocolate and spices all around! I ate good here! Most vendors offer small portions which is great as it allows you to experience many different dishes! Fresh oysters are a must and also the paella!

Visually nice, colourful market. Try the oysters, they are fresh.
Take care as it's a bit of a tourist trap. Too high prices especially at the stalls close to the entrance.
Personal opinion: coconut pieces in a plastic glass are not worth as they don't have almost any taste.

Amazing place! Everything very clean and fresh, and all the products are represented beautifully. Not particularly cheap, but definitely worth the money. You should really dine here and enjoy the market atmosphere!

This place is so unique and fun, definitely very crowded with tourists but I think it was worth it. Trying local food will always be worth it in my book, there are so many different stalls with SO MANY choices from seafood, fried food, desserts, juices, meat and cheeses ect. Bring an empty stomach because you're going to want to try everything!
Kaitlin Maurer — Google review
Huge tourist trap, but worth a look. Lots of the same things at various stalls. So much juice, so much cured meat. It all looks cool, but after a while, it starts to seem really repetitive.
This isn't really a market for buying local produce, although you can and people do. If you're looking for where locals go, this isn't it.
Everything is quite expensive so don't expect cheap eats. However, you can get some excellent seafood from some of the spots inside. Sad to see the xuxo place gone.
Absolutely packed with tourists on their phones, but it seems that at least you can move around for the most part.
I recommend the egg stall. There are emu eggs!

WOW this market is BEAUTIFUL. I stopped off and had some lunch at the seafood bar ad its the best prawns and scallops I've ever had. TAKE A LOOK AT MY PHOTOs as they tell the story.

What a cool spot this was. There is so much culture in one spot. They say pickpockets are rampant here, but we were cautious and had no issues. Each booth is its own small business, and so many are very unique. From spices, seafood, candies, meats, and other foods, this place offers so much local experience. We did not find cappuccino inside, but they are everywhere right outside. This was one of my favorite people watching places. A definite must for Barcelona.

Everything we ate there was delicious! Pricing seemed good too. Only complaint is that it was so busy (on a Friday afternoon) and sometimes hard to maneuver through the narrow walkways.

The market had a diverse selection of produce and tapas. It was very enjoyable to walk between each of the stalls and see what the local cuisine entails. We bought a chicken, tomatoes and potatoes Empanada. It was very tasty! I would highly recommend stopping at the market for some tapas and a unique experience.

This place is a must see. Super lively market with many options! There are many vendors selling the same thing so make sure you check out each booth to see who has the better price and freshest options. Also it was very packed, shoulder to shoulder, so be aware of your surroundings and belongings.

A vibrant market provides a variety of foods and beverages, such as pies, fruits, milkshakes, smoothies, and potatoes.
We went there twice, and I would absolutely go back for the third time if I had the time.
Watch out for pickpockets!
Definitely worthwhile to visit.

Fun place to visit. So much food and it's all so fresh. We went at lunch time. Everything is so fresh. We enjoyed walking around trying out different things .

Very touristy, But absolutely a ton of options if you were looking for something to eat. There was one then there's specific 2 vegetarian and vegan options which I thought was nice. multiple vendors had the same item so you could pick which you preferred. Credit cards were taken by a high number of vendors, only a few that required cash only. Very busy at peak times and not a lot of walking space. Be prepared to eat your food while you walk.

The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc is a large, circular fountain with 3620 jets that sprays water up to 51 meters (170 feet). The fountain is famous for its scheduled shows of light and water choreographed to music. It is located in front of the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and attracts hundreds of visitors on select evenings.
It is really beautiful and definitely recommend to see when in Barcelona. Unless you’ve already seen enough of this. Mind you it closes at 10pm
Prompt.
It gets quite crowded but there’s definitely a place to stand or watch. I was there around 9:45 so I catch it at the perfect time.
Though the water fountain flows but best time to see is after sunset where there’s a color and movement rhythm to the water. The whole place is really beautiful even during the day time.

The view from the top was breath taking. Could get a very nice view of the city. Unfortunately could not see the fountain show. But definitely worth visiting especially when it gets dark in the evening!

Visiting the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc in Barcelona was an absolute highlight of my trip! From the moment the first droplet of water danced into the air, accompanied by the vibrant lights and captivating music, I was thoroughly mesmerized. The synchronization of elements creates a spectacular display that appeals to visitors of all ages, making it a must-see destination in Barcelona.
The setting, with the majestic National Art Museum of Catalonia in the background, adds to the magical atmosphere, making every performance feel like a special event. I recommend arriving early to secure a good viewing spot, as the area can get quite crowded with eager spectators. The best part? This stunning attraction is free, offering incredible value for an unforgettable experience.

This was very beautiful and easily accessible. The fountains weren't running for some reason, so I was disappointed, but it was a good time regardless. At the top I recommend sitting on the steps and having a drink. I found it very relaxing and the view and live music were nice.

Lovely area to walk around and take photos during the day.
Recommend seeing the water show but get there early and get close so you can hear the music! It goes on for about 20 minutes, different songs and displays.

A fun thing to do at night. The kids enjoyed and there was even very entertaining street performers there that kept everyone entertained until the fountain show started. It's recommended to arrive well in advance of the start of the show in order to score a good spot to sit. There are steps behind the fountain that can be used like bleachers for seating.

This is an unbelievable evening of Magic dancing waters in and around placa de Espana.close to the bullring centre. It is free to view but be aware that it becomes incredibly busy as it is one of Barcelonas must see tourist highlights.Main event takes place in front of the beautiful palace of art. Be prepared to stand for some time. Very little seating is available. The Avenue Approaches are littered with vendors selling goods of every description . The top floor of the bullring centre has many nice restaurants and is also a good place to view Font magica.

We didn’t have a chance to see the light show but the Magic fountains are still worth visiting. It is one of my favorite places in Barcelona. For the best view you should go on the top of the hill as it is definitely a great photo spot.

Water show taking place in Barcelona. Night lighting is also very successful. That view is mesmerizing. At the same time, the waters dance according to the sound of music. It is possible to come across concerts and events from time to time around. You should definitely visit this place and its surroundings.

Great fountain show with music and colored lights along with other cascading fountains - an hour long show from 9:30pm to 10:30pm, until end of Sept - much better than the Bellagio in Las Vegas or the one in Dubai

I usually love this place, but all fountains are closed due to drought. Not sure why people post old pictures of the fountain being on, I suspect due to that there are some salesman there.
The place itself is beautiful but can not review properly as it is not on (seems to have been for months now)

I am still surprised this very beautiful show is for FREE!!!! It is magical indeed and worth the wait.
We went there at around 20.30 and shows starts at 21.30 in summer, and still a lot of people were already around. If you want to get a sitting place on the stairs go early but otherwise you can still enjoy the show standing, is just pretty long to do it all standing.
Too bad for all the vendors who are a bit ruining the atmosphere and nice to see staff around to take care of the safety and organisation of the whole thing.
DO NOT MISS A VISIT!! Monday and Tuesday is closed tho, so plan around it!

The magic fountain is something much recommended to everyone. I didn’t have much expectation, but it surprised me how thorough it all was and how beautiful it looks. Remember to not stand next to it if you want the best views, go further up.

The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc truly exceeded my personal expectations. Its captivating water and light displays were absolutely mesmerizing. The synchronization with music created a magical atmosphere, leaving me in awe. The way the fountain showcased a variety of colors and patterns was a visual treat. Without a doubt, this attraction is a must-see in Barcelona and offers an enchanting experience that goes way beyond what I had anticipated.
