The unique aspect of this museum is the presence of a nuraghe inside the building, making it an interesting combination of history and architecture.
Great guide in a smart and interesting museum....the building itself is part of the museum !

Only guided visit in the museum. Almost half an hour delayed to start my visit. As I had paid before I had to wait and delayed my trip. I do not recommend.

Came here after visiting Su Nuraxi (admission is included in the Su Nuraxi ticket).
I do not speak Italian, so staff pointed in the direction of the most interesting exhibit, no guide for me.
It was interesting enough wandering around for less than 30 minutes, the grounds are pretty and the main building is built over a nuraghe (there are glass floors and whatnot so you can see the foundation). All signs are in Italian, but they do have a video in English about making some musical instrument.
Worth a quick visit since admission is included in the Su Nuraxi ticket.

Ok but bit dull. Went to look at nuraghi foundations but insignificant after you've seen Su Naraxi

If you don't speak Italian, you don't need to waste your time, the guide only speaks Italian, all the explanations next to the exhibits are in Italian.

A very unique museum with it's exhibition underneath an old mansion. Good English speaking guide.

Have to do tour which is only in Italian . Turns 15 min experience into 40 mins of hanging around. Feel a bit trapped stuck there with the mask on. No idea why we can't walk around ourselves as everything is securely boxed up.
That said it's worth seeing the small number of artefacts they have.

A museum inside a beautiful historic building sitting on a Nuraghe. The museum shows what has been found in the close-by Nuraxi. Worth a visit combined with Nuraxi di Barumini (same ticket).

Interesting combination of a nuraghe on which a palace was built in 17th century. Floors of the palace were subsiquently removed to show the original structure.

Great experience, children (3) and (1) absolutely loved it. Did the tour of the reptiles and fish, staff were extremely helpful and accommodating with us speaking English. Kids loved the dinosaurs. Food and espresso were great here too!

Feels abandoned and not visible maintenance. Aquariums could be more clean. There is some lizard and koi carp you can touch. Dinosaur area could be more entertaining (not well maintained). Train and boat ride.(no hours just random how the operator feelslike ) Restaurant clean but just a few options.
Ice-cream stand with a great options for kids. Coffe was very good. Little gift shop.
Planetary guide speak just Italian...and play you aome good stuff no one understands...our family of 4...rusian family of 4 and some UK family of 6 was quite bored and lost.
Word to an owner:

If you want to spend a relaxing day ,with fun and also with a cultural touch, you must visit Sardinia in miniature, a park in the heart of Marmilla, near Barumini and Tuili, where you will be immersed in a particular atmosphere, among reproductions of dinosaurs, a planetarium, the nature section and the miniature reconstruction of landscapes, cities and renowned corners of Sardinia. There is a well-stocked restaurant ( but there Is also a dining free aerea in the park) and bar and the park can also be toured on a small train and a small boat on the internal canal. Particularly dedicated to families, but very interesting for everyone
Fabi64 — Google review
I didn't expect it to be that good. Although the entrance is a bit high - 18 eur/adult, we had a tons of fun. Especially in the Dinosaur area. There is also a restaurant inside, with fair lunch menus

Great lessons of astronomy and history science for kids and adults. Unfortunately only in Italian language but easy enough to understand.

Kids enjoyed every minute of a visit! Ride by train, boat trip, dinosours and miniatures. All great. Unfortunatelly there was no English guide for aquarium.

A nice place worth spending a couple of hours, especially for families with children, even though the audio guides are quite boring. Be sure to start with a trip in the train or boat (for free once you're in), and don't forget the "amico bosco" with interesting informations about the nature in Sardegna, unfortunately only in Italian.
A nice cafe to, with toilets that works.
Su Nuraxi di Barumini is a unique defensive structure found only in Sardinia, consisting of a network of circular towers. This archaeological site is Sardinia's sole World Heritage Site and the most popular nuraghe on the island. The focal point of this early settlement is the 1500 BC tower that was incorporated into a fortified compound during later times. Many buildings were constructed in the Iron Age, and they form an intricate system of interconnected circular structures on the hillside.
The GUIDES are EXCELLENT!!! The explanations are great to understand this amazing place. The views from top of the tower are wonderful. And get inside the rooms, such a good aventure! I'll go there again!!

An interesting place to visit if you are into History and Archeology. You can only visit with a tour guide. It's €15 per person for approx 1h. Our guide seemed passionate and had lots of information to share about the discovery of the site and how it developed and changed over the years.
Opposite is a place where you can buy food and drinks/coffee etc. If you visit after, you can use your entry ticket to get a discount.

Very good destination to learn 2500-3000 years ago people constructed towers only from stones and again its seen the waters importance for people. English version available for the tour, tickets are 15€ for each. (3 destinations can be seen with that ticket)

Cool history and a nice tour if you can catch one in a language you speak, but quite remote and not as big as it seems in the pictures. If you're a history buff would recommend, if not then might not be worth the long drive.

Interesting archeological side. Very friendly tourguide who spoke multiple languages. The tour takes around 50 min to 1 hour.
I don't recommend if you have trouble walking because you have to walk up and down very small stairs and spaces.

We were lucky because we arrived less than 10min for the English tour (offered every hour).
The guide has a lot of knowledge about the place and used a fold with pictures and drawings to explain the history of the site. We entered inside the Nuraghy and were able to explore on our own. It’s quite impressive, absolutely worth the visit.

Amazing archeological place, dogged out so it’s nice preserved and very i retesting culture. Sad it collapsed. Water worshipping is somewhat unique. I think it’s the best nuragic place to visit in this part of Sardinia or even in all.

The ticket to Su Nuraxi di Barumini also included two tickets to museums, the guide in su nuraxi seems knowledgeable, seriously looking, and provide English service, it’s a historical wonder, and people who are interested in history I definitely recommend you to visit this place and the two museums, as well as walking around this lovely old town and immersing yourself in the history.

Ok. 12 euros (2023) for this UNESCO site maybe too much, there is not much too see. It's interesting mostly for fans of ancient history. You can take s few nice photos. There us a guide if you are a group.

The place has a certain charm. You can easily park in the nearby parking lot. There's a souvenir stand where you can buy tickets and find shade from the sun. The place is suitable for children; a guided tour takes about an hour and a half. The guides are pleasant, and the commentary is interesting.

Visit was nice but the guide was on her phone the whole time and was not giving us accurate information on the site - at times she was contradicting herself actually.
Same - it’s a great site with important local history.

Best Nuraghi archaeologic site in Sardinia.
Visits with a guide (Italian or Engilish) only.
A climb in the high tower is only for people with a good condition.
Cliff van Dijk — Google review
Our final stop was yet another nuraghe, this one the most complex on the island and a major tourist site. There was a proper car park and access was only by guided tour. To be fair, after doing the tour you could see why as access to the central tower was by extremely steep and narrow steps. Kudos to Deb though for even getting out of the car after already seeing two of these sites and then doing the tour too.
Our guide was Sabrina who was celebrating her 30th year in the job! She explained about the rise and collapse of the Nuragic civilisation and how little we actually know about them as they left no written records. Archeologists have shown that the towers originally had merlons projecting out from the top with a balcony above them. The reconstructions look like medieval castles but 3000 years before those really existed and I find it difficult to believe an island the size of Sardinia needed or could support 7000 castles!
The tour was really rather good and we went through the original entrance 20m up the wall and down the steps into the courtyard from which 4 other towers radiated. Outside this structure was a later village, built when the nuraghe was abandoned and largely using looted stone. This site was the busiest of the lot with tours every 30 minutes but the ability to climb almost to the top and get an overview of the structure was fantastic.

Not worth visiting. It’s a 20 min movie & 2 small rooms with small number of masks.
Masks are poorly described, though some really nicely carved. Would be great if this is more interactive & simply better arranged. Written guide - was acutely a plus, but not enough
One thing - which is worth noticing - marketing of the place is really good, and town is helping out with displaying masks around.

I think that is the best beach of the area. Got there at 7:30am and was nobody there so we had all the beach for ourselves. The water was perfect and very clean and the sand is just fabulous. Also you can see some fishes. When we left at around 11:30am was already busy. Highly recommend.

Don't buy the hype. If you are close you can check it just to see nice small pebble sand. If you are thinking about driving from another part of an island, then let it go. One of the best beaches I’ve ever visited. It is the beach of mini rounded stones, so called quarzo beach and this is amazing - tender but it doesn’t stick on your skin like sand. Wonderful beach with non typical “sand” looking as grains of rice which is being composed of small grains of quartz, which shades range from pink, to green, to pure white.
Pros: stretches for several kilometers, clear sea, easy reach from Oristano by bus, there are bars, free toilets and showers.
Cons: somewhere it’s to rocky seabed

Walled castle dating from the 12th century, at the top of Serravalle Hill & accessed by stairs.
This is one of the must see places in Sardinia because you will regret it. The views from the castle are stunning and unforgettable. Necessarily!
sergiusz pawlowski — Google review
Nice view spot for sure. The city below spreads out towards the ocean. You can see the river winding through the valley. But the castle itself is fairly run down and the artifacts are not very numerous. You can climb to the top of the tower and get a great view as well.
There are some walls and buttresses that remain. But now as many as some other castles I visited.
There are probably 250 steps going up so it's a little bit of a hike. Also, there's no restroom once you get there. They have a sign that says the restroom is temporarily unavailable but the sign looks like it's about 3 years old.

Really great castle! However it was incredibly hot when we visited, which made it hard to enjoy. But the outer walls, the inner walls, the chapel, the tower, the views of the town… it all makes the whole setting pretty nice. No wait for tickets and not full. We had an ok time, but the area has a serious bee infestation and the walkways are full of glass (see pictures). I saw a young girl get seriously stung and the staff (older aged lady) were not at all interested.
Cost was €4 per person ages 6 and over.
A Grogan — Google review
We stopped at a viewpoint after maybe 90 minutes, overlooking the town of Bosa, overlooked by the Castle of Serravalle. It looked a very photogenic place with painted houses, a medieval bridge and castle on the hill. After plugging the phone back in the sat nav switched from driving to walking so after crossing said medieval bridge we were directed along a rutted path and then to a metalled road up the hillside to the castle. There was no obvious parking so we dumped the car as out of the way as we could and had a quick scoot around the place.
The castle is thirteenth century and is most famous for the fourteenth century frescoes in the church of Our Lady de Sos Regnos Altos. This was the first place with obvious tourists there and there were a couple of tour groups as well as various individuals. Hardly crowded but busier than we are used to! We were probably in the castle for 15 minutes and then got back to the car, drove down the hill following the proper instructions and passed a large car park on a proper road. Ah well. Castle of Serravalle has a complete circuit of outer walls and towers that you can climb but the keep and interior buildings are now gone.
Marcus Hurley — Google review
Amazing views from up top this look out point. Cost $5 to enter. They take bank cards upon entry. Climb the top of the tower to get the best views. There is a QR code to read about the tour. Need strong legs to climb the step paths to the top.

It is a very beautiful castle that overlooks the entire town. Although it is now declined, it allows you to imagine a castle that once flourished. There is a beautiful fresco in the castle church. I was a little disappointed that I could not climb the tower in the castle. I think it would be nice to be able to go up to the tower with more careful management.

I'd rather call it an observation spot or photoshoot spot - not a castle. Some old walls but with a great views. The price of 4eur it's worth it but I'd expect that if they take a money so they invest In this place. But they don't as you can see on the photo. So you just pay for possibility of seeing Bosa from above - not for sightseeing castle.

A mighty castle on a hill at the edge of town. A path leads to the castle through the picturesque streets of the old part of the city, but you can also access the castle from two parking lots below the castle on the west side of the city.
Cozy inlet with fine sand & shallow water, plus a restaurant & trailer-park campground.
Ecological Camping, EMF free, non electromagnetic pollution. Beautiful beaches. Recommend 100%. This is living in paradise. Stuff are super nice. This first line to the sea cost for 2 adults with car and your tent only 20€ per night, and if you stay more nights you get discounts for the camping and for the restaurant. Camping Ecológico, zona blanca libre de radiación electromagnética.

Very nice sand beach with a pretty view. There is also a Bar/restaurant with friendly service and bathroom. The water was clear and the beach was very clean.
You need to pay for the parking but the beach is free. We went by foot from Bosa: 2h walk but on the road so do not recommend for a big group or with kids!

For camping maybe worth it. But as a beach it not good. Entry fee for a dirty beach filled with old people and crying babies. Water isn't as blue/green as on pictures.

Super little beach by the camp site, bar was really nice. Staff are really friendly

One of the best snorkeling spots in the area: looks like a real aquarium with thriving posidonia, big fish, and plenty of nice openings and holes around the rocks to pry through searching for fish and other things to observe.

(Translated by Google) This place was recommended in Bosa. There is a sandy and a larger rocky beach with baroque and etermin between the two. We were there in April, it was completely empty, but the restaurants were open, although they closed at 3 p.m., only the bar remained, but that's how it is here. Parking is 5 euros. I don't think the place can handle a bigger tome, neither the beach nor the parking lot. I don't know if it's great in the summer, but I think it's worth a try. The staff could not speak English, but they tried to please us. We also got some food.

Nuraghe Santu Antine is an ancient Sardinian stone structure that once had three floors and a 24-meter tower. It is a significant part of the island's identity, representing the ancient history of Sardinia. Located in the Sardinian countryside, this massive and silent structure offers visitors a unique glimpse into the island's past. Exploring its interior reveals unexpected hallways, staircases, and different views, making it an intriguing destination for history and architecture enthusiasts.
Must see! Well preserved and presented (lighting and signs around the sight).
There is a free Audioguide-App (Santu Antine) which is perfect: just the right amount of information and length of the audios.
Joanna S. H. — Google review
this one is a small but almost fully intact Nuraghe you can find on the island. the ticket price of 10€ can feel expensive but worth a visit if you are in the area. No guided tours were offered on site according to the receptionist at the ticket counter but I saw a group with a guide speaking in Italian. Probably organised tour group. Self explanatory place and shouldn't take more than 30min.

Beautiful ancient construction which still is largely in good shape taking into account it's age. The central Tower has lots of internal tunnels and stairs which lead you to the roof and basement. The latter is fairly big and cool place in both senses of the word... Tickets (adult) cost 8€.

“The house of the King”, a megalithic compound “built between the Middle Bronze Age (16th century) and the Iron Age (9th century BC)”. Made with basalt blocks, used to have three floors. Some coming studies, shown how its structure is oriented following the solstices.

Loved it! Beautifully preserved and very interesting to read about its history. 10 euro per person entry which we originally thought pricey was well worth it 👌. A self-guided Audio is also included in this price. 😀.

8 euro per person seems very expensive. It's not bad but 8 euro is way to much!

I'm not sure what I was expecting when we bought our tickets, but I got more! This place is so cool! My husband and I could have easily spent hours exploring. From the outside, it doesn't seem like much, but once you go in, there is so much to see. Just when you think you have turned a corner and reached the end, there is another hallway or staircase, so just keep exploring. If you're in to history and architecture, this place is for you. Not to mention the many different views it has to offer! The steps are treacherous, so wear comfortable shoes or even sneakers/boots.

Best nuraghe I've seen. 3 levels, amazing tunnels, corridors and tower. Ticket shop with nice service, souvenirs and interesting books. You will receive information leaflet with your tickets.

A beautifully preserved Nuraghe in the Logudoro region of Sardinia ( Northwest). The site is well organised for individual or group tours, with a ticket office/souvenir shop, a bar with snacks and hot and cold drinks, and public restrooms.
The full price ticket is 8€, which is fair since it goes to the maintenance expenses.
You can take a walk all around and inside the Nuraghe, up to the top terrace, which offers an astounding view of the valley. There is no wheelchair nor assisted access to the upper levels, that you can reach by a very steep and tall set of stone steps, so keep this in mind when you visit.
There are informative panels all around, to explain the history and architecture of the site.
Margherita Donati — Google review
Is worth the visit despite the high entrance fee. One you're inside of this unbelievably for the time when build monumental complex, you really feel humility before the ability to build of our ancestors. The inner corridors, stairs, terrace, thickness of walls all built to preserve its inhabitants still standing after some 3000 years...

This nuraghe can be visited on the same day trip as nuraghe losa and Santa Cristina Holy Well. It is almost a 2 hour drive from Olbia but absolutely worth it.
Romanesque church built out of basalt & limestone in 1116 on the site of a former monastery.
Nice spot by the road. Be careful, the parking lot is just a hole. We couldn't get inside; it was closed. We practically didn't encounter any tourists here. No tickets were needed.

Absolutely spectacular building, a really must see place!
Gergely Nagy — Google review
Weird, this church next to the road, with hardly anything else around. No village or town, no preserved abbey buildings. It is quite beautiful on the outside and special on the inside. As if time has not affected it, it has preserved the early romanesque architectural style. It's an easy and nice enough stop if you're in the neighbourhood. Entrance fee 3€.

A perfect spot to be visited for its architectural importance style of medieval Europe characterized by semi circular arches
Tony Chahine — Google review
We visited this place on the route from San Teodoro to Alghero and I must admit that it was worth it. It is one of the most important Romanesque monuments on the island. The structure is entirely made of local stone, with a typical Tuscan Romanesque appearance. Visiting for a small fee inside is possible from April to the end of October. Inside of the church is a small souvenir shop, and a cafe near the parking where we can drink coffee and eat a croissant.
Michael Nowak — Google review
The church in itself is wonderful. There is an entrance fee quite high, the tower is not accessible. A very poor description of history inside, you better study it in advance.

Pretty spot. I liked the gift shop! We didn’t pay the 4 € to get in the church, we just walked around. The architecture is apparently Tuscano-Romano.

If you plan on entering please be aware that they charge a €3 entrance fee and you must be dressed modestly. I was wearing shorts and a tank top so I explored the outside grounds while my friend looked around inside. No photos were allowed inside but he said that I didn't miss much by not going inside.
Good afternoon, there was one tour at 10, one at 3 pm that day. Nice tour sailors, really helpful. They maybe could give us more details about the region/environment. Really hot on the boat so don’t forget sunscreen and water!!

First time being in a cave, cool place to view. Guide tours in both Italian and English, also possible to ask questions in French. Typical tourist attraction but one definitely worth doing when in Alghero.

Absolutely dissapointing..arrived at the cave and captain said that weather is not good to park the boat. Did not even reach the entrance to see that. At that moment the waves was 0.6-0.8m. They already told while buying tickets that if weather is not good they will just swim around with the boat (like they knew that it will happen from the beginning).
Justas Kynas — Google review
The place is so good and the long boat ride seeing the cliffs was awesome. The boat ride to the caves was 40 minutes and costed 15 euros.
Abirami S — Google review
Really disappointed. We took the boat and they didn't say anything bad about the weather. We arrived to the grotto and they decided to go back because of the waves (I found this OK, but is not like they can't know this before going, specially because it wasn't the first boat today and there was another one on the site dropping off some passengers). The trip per se is nothing amazing, it was fine though, we took the boat because there are not buses on Sunday 😢

Spiaggia di Maria Pia is a renowned beach that stretches for over a kilometer, boasting of crystal-clear waters and pristine white sand. Initially created 60 years ago to protect the surrounding crops from the sea, it has now transformed into a popular city park frequented by families, children and even those in search of a training center. The beach offers free entry at all times and impresses visitors with its cleanliness whilst providing numerous bars and restaurants.
Relaxing time spent here. Last day in Sardinia - spent on Maria Pia. There are several bars and a good local restaurant. Nice blue water. Perfect

Beautiful beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available €25 for day. €18 for half day.or just bring your own beach mat. Great snack bar/ restaurant. At times there is a waft of eggs smell from the piles of rotting seagrass. But beautiful white sands and clean crystal clear water. Much nicer than the lido beach which is disappointing.

Actually i have bean 3 years ago and nothing changed, maybe prices are a bit higher because of crisis and Covid-19 but the mos important thing is that situation is really good 😌 I come special from Sweden 🇸🇪 to enjoy vocation in Alghero city, but from Alghero with bus 🚌 is not so far 1€ ticket 🎫 from Alghero to Spiaggia di Maria Pia around 10 till 15 minutes depend of traffic.
I can recommend this place to everyone who really want to visit Alghero city, because Spiaggia di Maria Pia is one ☝️ of the best without questions!

I like this beach much more than Lido beach. Lido beach can smell bad if the water is not warm enough (due to the algae). The water at this beach is crystal clear. While swimming we saw some tiny fish 😄. Naturally you can find some pinecones and branches on the beach from the trees but it didn’t bother me.

Maria Pia is a lovely beach with white sand, dunes, and turquoise waters near Alghero. We visited the beach when in Alghero for a weekend. As it is close, we waddled there. From the city center, it took us about 40 minutes at a chill pace. My favorite part is the entrance, where you have to go through a pine forest. It's magical. And then the white sand and giant dunes. It is among the best beaches in Sardinia and I agree.
If you don't want to walk there you can take a taxi or the local bus. The beach has all necessities, a bathroom, and bars to refresh.
The beach is also easily accessible with wheelchairs, it has a wooden pathway.

Such a beautiful beach. We didn't expect that a public beach (free entrance any time of the day/night) could be so clean. If you are there I simply recommend visiting it!
Capo Caccia is a striking rocky formation that offers breathtaking hiking routes, diving spots, and caverns with archaeological remnants. One cannot afford to miss exploring the famous Grotta di Nettuno (Neptune's Grotto) in this area. Visitors can reach here either by foot or boat ride from ports around the island such as Alghero. The caves are renowned for their stunning beauty and hidden depths, leaving visitors awe-inspired as they explore through crystal-clear waters.
Very nice view onto the ocean.. but unfortunately we came a lil late.. the way to its capo is kinda long.. and there r wild animals.. pigs.. fox.. thats why u should drive carefully.. so we missed the actual drop of the sun - but overall - very nice and calm!

This place is really nice. The views are amazing. But there are a lot of cars during a day so you may spent few minutes with finding a free spot to park. But it definitely worth a visit.
Jiří Červený — Google review
Capo Caccia is one of the most beautiful natural sites of Western Sardinia. Situated not far from Alghero, this rock formation jutting into the sea is visible from far away and adds depth to the horizon that you see from the city. You can combine your trip to Neptune's Grotto with a visit to this area. Some of the pictures that you take if you are arriving by boat will make this natural wonder seem gigantic. That's because as you get closer to the tip, your photo angles are low. Close-ups of the rock will be reminiscent of the heads of some marine animals. It's a magical place.

Piazza d'Italia is a bustling town square located in the heart of Sassari, featuring impressive classic architecture and several shops and restaurants. The surrounding buildings date back to the late 19th century, showcasing grandiose styles typical of Italy's post-unification era. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options in the square or nearby cafes, especially during evenings when the area comes alive with locals dressed in their finest attire.
Found a note on the ground In front of the main doors. I opened to find the words
"Two corks of Romano equals twice the cheese" I immediately took it to the police.
As there was an open investigation on the matter, I was called in as Lead witness and was promoted to case director. After three long weeks of trail chasing and whiskey sipping we caught them and today they are spending life in prison.
This place was worth the 18 hr flight, will return

Piazza d'Italia in Sassari, Sardinia, has won my heart with its captivating charm and lively atmosphere. I had a delightful experience here, and I'm excited to share my thoughts.
Nestled in the heart of Sassari, this picturesque square boasts a wonderful selection of restaurants, offering a diverse culinary experience that caters to all tastes. From traditional Italian dishes to international cuisines, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings. The variety of dining options nearby is definitely a big plus!
What truly sets Piazza d'Italia apart is the enchanting ambiance it exudes. The vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by the lively sounds of music, creating a delightful backdrop as you stroll through the square. It's the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the local culture while enjoying a pleasant evening with friends or loved ones.
However, I'm giving it four stars instead of five due to the occasional overcrowding during peak hours, which can make it a bit challenging to find a comfortable seating spot. Nonetheless, the overall experience was still enjoyable and worth a visit.
If you're looking for a lively and gastronomically rich destination in Sassari, Piazza d'Italia is the place to be. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply love immersing yourself in the local vibes, this charming gem is sure to leave you with lasting memories.

This is most likely the largest and most central square in Sassari. Many of the buildings surrounding it are from the late 19th century, done in a grandiose style by a re-emerging Italy after the unification of the country in 1870. There are many restaurants, eateries and cafés on the square and in the vicinity. The square comes alive in the evening.

August 2023 : As packed as it was a year before! Car park is 1 Euro an hour, plenty of facilities including free shower. Bars and restaurants. Rentals of equipment too.
July 2022 : Out of season it must be one of the most beautiful place in Sardegna... In high season, it s absolutely packed! Although not too many people do seem to like the sea 🌊 😂, so you are fine if you avoid the sandy beach! Many small food/drink outlets, a few pedalos and boat rental.

This was a nice surprise. Very wide sea 🌊 available for swimming (shallow water till further), emerald green and clean water, lots of beautiful fish in the sea. Clean water and warm and chilled, no waves, just beautiful to enjoy yourself in it.
We paid in June 2023 - 21 eur for front row setup. The gazebo that was taking care of the beach front has also some good basic food (panini and other sandwiches- good prices for a snack). They have shower service 1 eur (you need coin), same for WC.
We chose the Paid parking and it was 1 eur/hour.
I would definitely come back.

Roccia dell'Elefante, also known as Elephant Rock, is a remarkable natural formation located along state road 134 in the Castelsardo area of Sardinia. This large rust-colored boulder, about four meters high, bears a striking resemblance to a seated elephant. Not only is it an intriguing sight to behold, but it also holds archaeological significance as it contains two ancient Fairy Houses used for burial rituals thousands of years ago.
Definitely recommend it to visit when you're in Sardinia! Couple on minutes drive from Castelsardo. It's free as being on the side of the road. Parking is easy and free we got there around 11am in June '19, some tourist but not crowded. Could comfortably take photos. The view also beautiful as always on this island 🌞😁

It look’s exactly like in the pictures. There were only 3-4 people at the time I went which was at 15:00 so i guess it’s not a very visited site.
It was interesting but kinda looked human made it has like tunnels which looked to perfect to be natural.
You won’t be spending more than 5 minutes there since it’s not really big. If you don’t want to lose 5 minutes you can pass by it by car and you will see everything since it’s right next to the road.

The Elephant rock.
Yes there is a resemblence to a pachyderm. Which, when you think about it, is rather a remarkable achievement for a rock.
It's on the roadside just outside of
Castelsardo, free to view.

Quite impressing sometimes when Mother Nature makes art.
It really is fasisating to see the work of erosion, and when it looks like and elegant, it is even better.
I really recommend that you take the time to see this. It only take a few momentane, but in my opinion it is well spend.

Nestled in the northwest of Sardinia, Italy, Castelsardo is a stunning medieval village located at the east end of the Gulf of Asinara. This picturesque town boasts steeply-sloped streets, traditional squares, and charming craft shops. Visitors can explore the 12th-century castle of the Doria and delve into the ancient art of creating Sardinian baskets at Museo dell'intreccio.

Cute beach with nice cafes and not too many tourists. We had a fun day despite the wind and high waves - on other days it’s perfectly calm!

Easily accessible from our accommodation. Plenty of sand and rocks to sunbathe on, though looking at others' photos, it gets much busier in the peak season! Fairly clean - there was a pantyliner floating along the shoreline on our first visit - and an enjoyable way to pass a couple of hours.

Middle of October heaven. Free parking, very few people, beautiful sand, clear warm water, shallows, rocks and crab hunting. Coffee place across the road from the car park. Sunset on the beach.

Will recommend having a sunny day at Ampurias Beach, north western oriented, nice view and easy-to-swim for kids.

Amazing water with a lot of sealife to see by snorkeling. Clean sand and also very easy Access. The showers are very helpful to take off the sand and the salt from the sea.

Good sized clean beach, with sand and waves. Has a beach cafe for drinks and food if needed, although wouldn't recommend the food there. There's a public shower but you need to pay for it. There are a few beach sellers who are chilled and do not harass you.
Pascalis Spyrou — Google review
The east side of the beach is better, there are no stones or algae in the water like on the western side. Great water and beach, less crowded than most others. Small enchanting village perfect for relaxing, but not many activities to do other than going to the beach or to a restaurant. Walking to Castelsardo is tricky as there is no sidewalk, best option remains by car.

You will be able to find various things to visit, the prison, the ossuary, the old work buildings, but above all... The greenery and the sea. It's great to tour the island by bike, be careful in the summer because it's 40 degrees. The only thing, remember that this island is a protected park, so forget about services, taxis, public transport, banks or similar.

Tucked away sand beach with turquoise water, a path from parking & a scenic, rocky coastline.

Great little beach in the middle of a small bay, reminiscent of "the beach" in terms of shape and color...behind it, like a strip of fresh water, is a natural paradise with grasses, reeds and many small animals on land and water. Now in April the beach is almost deserted, cloth to cloth during the season, as it is almost the only sandy beach in this area. Even on a hiking trail further along the coast towards Isola Rossa, the nature that presents itself is breathtaking. The evening atmosphere is unique.

Beautiful beach with plenty of space in the off season (April in our case). Sand is a bit ouchy, but fun for building sandcastles! Walk is scenic and easy and takes about 15 minutes or less, even with children in tow.

Impossible to capture with photos the beauty, colors and scents of this place! You can arrive with a beautiful walk of 15-20 minutes and you can continue even after the beach. It’s definitely worth!

Nice beach some 10 minutes walking distance from parking place. Sandy on the beach, in a bigger part stoney in water, better to be ready to wear appropriate shoes. There is an overpriced kinda bar... with no reason to be there. No coffee, nor ice-cream.

Beautiful bay with a small beach and crystal clear water. To get to the beach you must take the paved path that leads from the parking lot. Be sure to wear sneakers. All the locals walk in sports shoes, and the tourists slap in sandals and stumble with every step. The path is paved, but not everywhere. The path takes about 15-20 minutes one way, you have to go uphill. The view of the sea and the bay is truly magnificent.

Really a beautiful beach that is ideal for snorkeling and relaxing.
Finding a parking space is anything but easy. The path there is nice and takes about 10 minutes, depending on how sure-footed you are. The beach itself is nice and sandy, but quickly overcrowded with people.
The first 3 meters into the water are cloudy from all the sunscreen, which is anything but pleasant. The water gets deep enough for swimming quite quickly (approx. 4m).
At the back of the beach there is a freshwater pond where sea snakes can also be found and the birds get some insects and drinking water. However, I wouldn't recommend it for swimming.
There is also a beach bar where you can get chilled drinks or ice cream, which uses a diesel generator to spread a somewhat unpleasant smell of diesel across the beach.
If you want to get away from people, you can also walk a little further over the rocks (the path up over the rocks might be a little more difficult for some). Unfortunately there is no sand there, but there is clear water and, above all, peace.
All in all, a recommendation if you can tolerate crowds of people or can get along without a sandy beach.

A very nice, hidden beach with slightly coarser sand. The path to the beach itself is a highlight. You have to go up and down a few steps before you reach the beach after about 10 minutes. It is beautifully enclosed between rocks and has a small mountain range with a freshwater river in its back.
There is a free parking lot, from which the path to the beach leads directly.

07038 Trinità d'Agultu e Vignola, Province of Sassari, Italy
Costa Paradiso, located north of Isola Rossa, is a breathtaking coastal area characterized by its wild and scenic beauty. The region boasts stunning beaches and rugged granite cliffs that meet the emerald sea, creating a picturesque landscape. As you make your way around Costa Paradiso towards Santa Teresa Gallura, you'll encounter numerous tiny inlets and coves waiting to be explored.
Ezzi Mannu Beach is a lengthy and sandy stretch of land that forms the boundary between Stintinos and Sassaris municipalities. The shore extends for approximately two kilometers, distinguished by distinctive quartz sand and emerald waters. Unlike several other North Sardinia beaches, Ezzi Mannu does not get too overcrowded due to its spaciousness. It is an ideal spot for snorkeling; children are also safe in the water.
A must if you're in the area .. no sands but beautiful tiny round shaped stones easy to remove and beautiful to feel once you place your beach towels
Very close to Stintino, no problems to park nothing to pay either

Love this beach. White sand, mixed with glossy white pebbles. The water is crystal clear and you enter it stepping on the soft sand. The best thing about it there are no families or loud people here and you can realy enjoy the beach.

We prefer this beach when in Stintino because is not crowded, is big and is beautiful even on a windy day, like today 23rd September 2022.
Free parking and plenty of spaces, considering though is not full season right now.

It is indicated that this spiaggia is one of the best near Stintino (after Pelosa of course), we disagree. There are such a lot algae on the beach and in the sea that it is not nice at all to go swimming, even if the sea temperature is great. Nice white sand but that's it...
Audrey LECONTE — Google review
Nice long white coarse sand beach with bar. No waves even in windy weather. Free parking.
Dominik Debef — Google review
Windy, cloudy, seaweed at unbearable quantities. Parking is free, the dirt roads leading to the beach are quite narrow, but fortunately they are one-way.
könig jani — Google review
We didn't understand what the fuss was about. The beach is nothing special, the views over the port and the industrial zone to the right are not adding to its charm. The water wasn't as clear as our local beach near Castelsardo. No showers, no coffee shops, no amenities of any kind. Not worth the travel time.
Spiaggia La Pelosa, located in the Stintino region of Sardinia, is a tranquil ocean getaway with white-sand beaches and calm blue waters ideal for swimming and diving. The beach is famous for its Aragonese watchtower overlooking the sea and exposure to the mistral wind making it perfect for water sports. However, due to concerns about damage caused by overcrowding, access to the beach is now limited to just a few hundred people per day.
Beautiful beach. And windy, very windy. But really, really beautiful.
irena — Google review
We visited La Pelosa Beach at the beginning of October on a sunny day. When we arrived at around 11am there were a few parking spaces left next to the La Pelosseta entrance.
Beware of the touts, they will approach you right after you get out of your car and will start selling you the mats, even before you will pick your thinkgs from the car or unbuckle your children, so that is a bit annoying. I thought there would be some official place where you can buy the mats, but I haven’t found one, so ended up buying from the tout. One guy offered me two big mats for 15€ and then was ready to sell for 10€, but then he was gone, so I ended up buying two for 15€ (7,5€ each).
The beach itself is really beautiful, it was quite crowded compared to other beaches we visited in Sardinia, but not too bad.
For those who want to visit in summer but do not manage to get a booking, I would still recommend to visit La Pelosa and Pelosseta just like a sighseeing stop, you can really enjoy the views of the water from above, there is a nice rooftop viewing point, where you can see both beaches. After the stop you can hit some other less crowded beach.
Romualdas Laurinavi?ius — Google review
Very nice beach, clear water, nice view, but it's way too overrated, you have to wake up at 6:00 in the morning to do a reservation for the third day, to enter the beach and it cost 3,5€/person, once you arrive there you have to pay 2€/hour the parking, and if you want to rent sunbeds and umbrella it cost you 35 euros for the third row, and the bathrooms didn't had water so we couldn't use them...

Visited in April 2024. Parking everywhere is for free! White sand and crystal clear blue water. One of the most beautiful beaches we’ve seen in north of Sardinia.
Christian Schwarz — Google review
The most beautiful beach I have seen so far.
Water is cristal clear, fine white sand and marvelous views.
You will think you are at the Caribbean.
BUT all good things have a price and the beach is very crowded as well.
ATTENTION!
1. It is necessary to buy tickets online in the web lapelosastintino and the price is 3,5€ per person.
2. It is compulsory to have a beach mat with your tower. If you don’t have there’s people selling them there.
3. If you go by car, which is the usual, there’s parking meter which costs 1,65€ per hour and there’s a big queue in the machines.
To avoid waiting, you can download the app flowbird which gives you one hour for free.
In the case of getting the ticket through the app you find a paper on your car, dont be alarmed, it is just a warning and they later check if everything is good in the app. They even write in the paper “verif app” (it doesn’t have a lot of sense)
4. Expect loads of people
Alexia MC — Google review
Beautiful beach, blue like no other.
Book in advance online first, access from 8 to 18h. Staff will give you a bracelet so you can come and go as you please. Cost € 3.5 per person (July) pets are not allowed, you can not smoke on the beach, you have spots available for that, a mat under the towel is mandatory if you want to lay in the sand. You have access to showers and WC. You can rent Parasol (2chairs+1umbrella €35) or you can bring your own if you want.
Parking is 2.5€ per hour in most area. You can download the app (EasyPark) and pay per minutes too.
Amazing experience, love everything about it.
Great for children, families, couples.
You have to spend the day there.

The Maldives of Europe. The waters are so clear it’s an amazing experience to swim there. The reservation is needed for this beach (3,5€) but you can access the waters from other spots without reservation! It’s quite crowded so in my opinion it’s even better to go from the other spots.
You will need luck to find a parking spot if you come around 11:30 like us. Parking cost around 14€ for 7 hours.

La Pelosa Beach is a coastal gem that leaves visitors mesmerized with its crystal-clear blue waters and abundant marine life. During my visit, I was captivated by the sight of fish gracefully gliding through the water, creating an unforgettable underwater spectacle right before my eyes.
The shallow waters that extend up to 500 meters from the shore offer a unique opportunity to explore the sea on foot, making it an excellent destination for families and non-swimmers alike. The safe and calm waters ensure a relaxing experience, perfect for unwinding and soaking in the natural beauty.
I rate La Pelosa Beach with 4 stars due to its remarkable water clarity, enchanting marine life, and the convenience of walking into the sea for an extended distance. However, it's worth noting that during peak times, the beach can get quite crowded, affecting the overall tranquility of the surroundings.
Despite this minor setback, La Pelosa Beach remains a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a close encounter with the wonders of nature. The picturesque setting and the chance to witness marine life up close make it an unforgettable coastal retreat.
