(Translated by Google) A beautiful walk ...
but it could be so much better. 4 years after the storm that had destroyed it in several places and still to be finished 👏. Total absence of benches along the way 😢 I don't find it very hospitable. The worst thing is the lack of distinction between the pedestrian and the cycling path ... leaving the latter free to run anywhere without respecting pedestrians. Very dangerous. The landscape pays off but as usual ... unfinished !!! 🤬

Molto pericoloso. Il paesaggio ripaga ma come al solito... incompiuta!!! 🤬
Fabio Montobbio — Google review
(Translated by Google) The walk deserves 5 stars. It's a really nice place to walk, beautiful beaches and fantastic view.. But to be honest, something could be improved. Along the way there are very few benches, and being the walk itself quite long and without much shade, this could be a problem. There is also no bicycle lane, which can lead to collisions between cyclists and pedestrians.

The Messer Tulipano is an amazing event!
I had never seen so many beautiful flowers in the same place. It was very easy to arrive from Torino (we took only one bus). The locals were friendly and their English was good.
The town of Pralormo is very small, but if you have time I highly suggest going for a walk and seeing some of the farmlands as well.
Marcus D'Elboux — Google review
Mr tulips was great! We only visited the gardens. Castle tour is best booked in advance.
Monica Widman — Google review
The Messer Tulipano is one of a kind event. Go to see the blooming tulips displayed every year. Other businesses make expositions of their goods. On April 2nd the inauguration took place with the mayor of Pralormo and other local authorities.
Silvana Nicola — Google review
I admired all the tulips that colour the gardens. I was a bit disappointed for the lakes, the water was dirty. There's a margin of improvement. Anyway, it a nice place to visit.
Fulvio Rivetti — Google review
Loved it. The count of the castle gives the tour (Italian only). And upstairs he has a big trainset! Very interesting but you'll need a good grasp of the language to understand it. I'm British so only speak one language so I brought my wife to translate ;)

Been there about 5 years ago. Not as an attraction though.
We were a group of people coming to help set up a place and activities for disabled children as part of 'Good deeds' day.
Don't know who the owner is but I hope you are doing this every year because our team and your place sure made these kids and parents happy.

Fine historic building with historic objects!
Very nice presentation!
J. A — Google review
We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and organized this place was. Sometimes older sites and small towns can be a bit rundown, but this seems to be the focus of local attention and it shows!
The Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi is a royal hunting lodge and residence that was built in the 18th century. It is famous for its luxury apartments and grand gardens, which are well-worth visiting if you're ever in the area.
There are very few rooms and collections to visit and see, although the quality of service from the staff is good. It's easy to visit for people who live in Turin, but not a place to stay for too long.
Hang Chen — Google review
Nice visit, highly recommended especially if you want to observe how the “royals” were living and spending their time during the past centuries.
The place was the hunting ground for the Savoia Family.
I would like to see more areas open to the public, to fully enjoy the visit.

Royal family that i visited on my trip, this by far was my favorite. Compared, for example to the reggia, the rooms were not set up as painting galleries but each had a unique feature that showed aspects of daily life; the audio app was well publicized and was not repetitive in pointing out what to focus on the room; and with The restorations it has gone recently you feel like you've been brought back in time:)

Marvellous example of architecture and forniture design with italian creativity
The apartments paintjngs are Simply astonishing and the central pavillion is a masterpiece of baroque art. A must see

The museum and pretty much the whole palace were under construction when we visited there, so we didn't get any real pictures of the place.
On outside, the palace looked very nice and wide and the park was open, naturally.
The palace was difficult to reach because we had a wheelchair and the gravel was just changed and very, very difficult to go.

Piazza Principe Amedeo, 7, 10042 Stupinigi, Nichelino TO, Italy
Restored, centuries-old castle, home to a shop selling Piedmontese wines & a historical museum.
A must-visit for anyone staying in Langhe. The castle itself is beautiful, and offers an extremely educational and informative experience for anyone who's interested in learning about the region's history, as well as past and present winemaking. We loved our visit and look forward to returning soon.
We returned a few days later at night to take pictures of the castle which is lit up every night with the colors of the Italian flag, and it was beautiful to see at night.
Dillon Siflinger — Google review
🏰🍷🏰 Scenographic castle in the heart of the Langhe. Free entrance in the garden (with outstanding view) and in the open air museum (how to make wine, very nice). To enter the castle and the castle museum there is ticket and limited entrance (Covid restrictions). Some free parking spaces around the castle and a couple of good resturants in the area. Worth a visit!

Very nice place that should not to be missed in Piedmont.
The museum is for sure worth a visit (7,-). The Audioguide provides some information especially made for children (what our 5 years old liked).
Around the castle you’ll find a free of charge walk that gives a good introduction to circle of a wine-year.
The Enoteca was very well equipped and impressed with good service, tasting and very good English.

A castle with a great view, also a good place to get some wines, we got the barbera superiore from piazzo for a similar price as at the winery itself. The castle tour was cool to walk around and we learned to drink 2 glasses of wine each evening. The restaurant is also a good place to have a drink before you go.

Grinzane Cavour castle is home to the internationally famous truffle auction sale. I took part in a wine tasting there and I have to say that it’s a very cozy place for that kind of activity. On the other side if you are looking for a good local wine for a reasonable price you’re probably in the wrong place since!

Amazing place! Top of the hill, 360 degrees of view of wineries, it is just beautiful.
Marco Ferreira — Google review
Beautiful place. The view and the vineyards are great with lots of information about the wine making proces and the seasonal work that is done. The castle inside is less special but for €7 who cares, it’s beautiful.
Joost R — Google review
Nice castle, the panorama that you can see from the castle's hill and from the top of it's towers is amazing. The museum inside the castle is interesting and there is a nice shop full of wines and typical foods of this region.

This is more what I expected when I visited the WiMu wine museum in nearby Barolo. Nice exhibits about the area, History and wine beautiful old castle with beautiful grounds and views. We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked lovely. And I think it may even have a Michelin star. There is a nice Enoteca at bottom of the castle and Anna who poured our tasting was very knowledgeable and helpful.
WiMu Museo del Vino is a unique museum located in a medieval castle that offers interactive exhibits exploring the culture and tradition of wine. Situated in the quiet yet prosperous region of Piedmont, it provides an immersive experience for wine enthusiasts. Visitors can expect visually appealing and colorful displays, with educational material presented in a fresh and engaging manner. The museum's unconventional approach to its exhibits adds to its charm, offering a fun way to learn about wine history and facts.
What a fun museum to learn about wine history and facts. Really fun way the museum integrates each room into parts of the story. We also did the wine game which kept the kids going.
Overall worth the stop.
Maala Gadhia — Google review
This is one of the worst museums that I have visited in Europe. Mostly it is full of nonsense rooms that are meant to be art. But they advertise this as a wine museum, not an art museum. There is an interesting story to tell about the history of the Barolo wine, but this museum doesn't even attempt to tell it. They really failed hard here. They should remove everything and hire a historian to oversee the creation of an actual wine museum.
The tower in Barbaresco had an Andy Warhol exhibition while we were there. It was much cooler and more interesting than this even though it is only a small tower.
The Barolo wine is amazing though.

Fernando Gonzalez — Google review
Embarrassingly bad.
Far too much space and effort devoted to bizarre "art" installations (e.g. flying metronomes) while relevant content about the history of wine, wine growing in the region, the science of wine and flavour, etc was either nonexistent or relegated to a few tedious text plaques.
So disappointing. Such an interesting subject should have been dealt with in a really engaging way yet this museum seems to go out of its way to avoid doing that. Why??
Rich Martin — Google review
Joke of a museum. Nothing interesting on display and too much focus on airy-fairy (and amateur) art installations. For a region with such rich winemaking history, the curators have really fumbled on a great opportunity. Don't waste your time and money!
Luke Mannis — Google review
Museums are not usually what I like best about traveling, but I loved visiting this museum. I found it visually appealing and colorful. Perfect view from the top outside. The subject matter, wine, is fun for me, and I thought it was presented well, including educational material that was fresh to me.
Eric Finkelstein — Google review
This place is weird, in a mostly good way. I expected something much more traditional, the exhibits are a little kooky, bus till fun. View from the upper terrace is worth the price of admission and there is a nice tasting room in the cellar.
Will Hastings — Google review
Cool and interactive!) You can really learn about wine here! Suggested also for kids - lot of buttons to push with no problem 😍
Entrance for adult 9€.
Green pass or test is necessary
Кіра Кубяк — Google review
This is NOT a museum about wine. It's a random collection of arty farty nonsense that has absolutely nothing to do with wine. For example one of the rooms is filled with metronomes fitted with angel wings hanging from the ceiling (see photo). The most interesting rooms are the ones that are not part of the museum, where you can sometimes get a glimpse of how the castle used to look before it was destroyed by the museum.
Willem Van den Bosch — Google review
Silly museum more about puppets than wine. Castle was cool with nice views. The mirror art rooms were the coolest. Wouldn’t bother going unless you need to kill time. 10-20 euro a person, too much for what it was.
Excellent seafood restaurant right on the beach of the dainty town of Varigotti. Kind of expensive, but I was invited for a friend’s birthday

Estonishing place, allthough try to come early as there is no place on the beach at noon. The only available parking space is near the mountain and cost 15 euro until 08pm. All in all, a very nice place to hang out for couple of hours.

Monumental church featuring a vast, frescoed cupola completed in the 1700s, plus royal graves.
Beautiful and interesting sanctuary. There's also the chance to visit the upper level with a ticket bought in the opposite side of the road.

We decided to spend Easter in the Provinces of Cuneo, and our first stop was here, at the Sanctuary, it looks amazing and majestic, it is one of the most famous in the region of Piedmont and the biggest in the world, the elliptical dome has wonderful frescoes, really a nice place to visit and see it for yourself and not just in photos, the place is sorrounded by arcades with shops and bars.

Muretto of Alassio is a vibrant installation that commenced its creation in 1953. This tourist attraction showcases ceramic tiles filled with reproductions of renowned signatures. Alessio, the location where Muretto stands, is a charming and picturesque town that was frequented by famous individuals like Nelson and Hemingway. The residents of this idyllic town are welcoming and kind-hearted.
A unique and interesting place.

Very unique park boundary wall covered with little ceramic plates signed by various, mostly Italian, celebrities, composers and authors. The first to apparently sign was Ernest Hemingway! Lovely village and restaurants, making this wall the perfect place to take a passagiata after dining or bathing at the local beach!

Beautiful view of Alassio.
Usually a bit windy also in case of a hot day.
It's possible to dive off a diving board, with a ladder to climb.
Under the Molo that's are a lot of fishes, mussels ans sea urchins. It seems to be in a aquarium. Highly recommended because very suggestive.

I'll never travel to Nice without this trip planner again
The Centro Storico is the heart of the city and a must-visit destination for any traveler. The central square is adorned with beautifully decorated galleria arches and surrounded by ancient buildings that showcase Roman architectural elements. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the area, explore charming boutiques, and indulge in delicious cookies at local sweet shops. It's a perfect way to immerse yourself in the city's history and culture while enjoying its modern delights.
The catholic church San Giovanni Battista has a plain exterior, but upon entering, one is greeted by a vast and cool interior that exudes tranquility. The ornate decorations inside are tasteful and elegant, without being overly showy. In March 2018, there was no entrance fee to visit this beautiful church. A notable feature is the statue of Neptune adorning its front facade. The serene atmosphere inside makes it a worthwhile destination for both religious and non-religious individuals.
Cervo is a small, ancient town, built on top of a hill along the Italian Riviera in the province of Imperia. You can visit the church, walk around the narrow streets and enjoy the view of the sea and the buildings.

Snow isn't great for the start of the season. And the cost is around 49€ per day, so it's Very expensive. But the lifts are in perfect condition and the slopes are very nice

Nice ski area where you can find slopes for all levels.
Nice staff, nice views, toilets are free and most of the time clean.
The only bad point is that the direction is greedy for the tamping of the slopes, no tamping from Sunday to Saturday ... a little bit exaggerated
But despite that it is a really nice place to enjoy days with friends or family for an honest price.
Maxime — Google review
A bit hard for a beginner. A lot of reds and blacks, a few blues.
Maneggio is the place to go if you are new to skiing, there's easy access chair-lifts/ski-lifts as well as really good restaurants. Ate pretty good pizzas there that wasn't too expensive.
If you are renting ski equipment near the village, you can take the cable car up but only red trails will be available to get to Maneggio. We had a hard time on the first day to get there since it was our first time, we chose to walk on the second day (approx 10min from Bottero Ski shop to Maneggio).
Booking the skipass online was quite a hard task, the website is mostly in italian with some bad translations, but managed to get past it and get a pass for me and 2 friends.
Will surely come back next time for some snowboarding!

Bussana Vecchia, a captivating old town near Sanremo in Liguria, Italy, has a unique history. Following an earthquake in 1887, the town was deserted and remained so until the 1960s when it was rediscovered by an international community of artists who renovated and repopulated it. Today, Bussana Vecchia is known for its artistic vibe and is considered a hamlet of Sanremo.
Alpha - Animal Park is an ecological reserve and educational center in France that focuses on the conservation of grey wolves. The species had been eradicated from the country by 1930 but reappeared in 1992 near Utelle, having journeyed across the border from Italy. The park provides a family-friendly learning experience for visitors by showcasing three packs of these elusive animals in a semi-free environment.
We had the chance to visit the park just when it reopened and we were part of the first group of people visiting the wolfs. The whole experience is great, we had a very lovely girl as a guide with a lot of passion for the wolfs and for the entire area. She explained a lot of things and answered all the questions. There's is a small hike to do but it's easy and if you don't have proper shoes for snow you can rent a pair from the starting point for like 3€. Totally loved it and it's totally worth it. The wolfs seemed a bit scared and suspicious after a long period not seeing people but the experience it's a lovely one.

Rare attraction but definitely worth going if you’re an animal lover. I would say more interesting for kids. The park has altogether 6 wolves, due to the river floods in 2020, some animals like the Chamois escaped as we were told. The facility is very secure, the park guides are very informative and answer all questions about the wolves, we got to see them feed the wolves, it was quite interesting.

The 1 hr 20 min journey from Nice was absolutely stunning - with the road passing through gorges and mountain tunnels and cliffs towering high on either side. Our boys (11 and 14) loved it. It was 28 degrees in Nice (mid August) but high up the Alpha Park temperature dropped to a very pleasant 21 degrees. Makes sure you get your tickets at the building next to the very tall outdoor climbing wall. Then walk along the road a little before turning left up a rough Alpine path where you will find a bridge with an automated ticket barrier. At the Park we watched one of the pack of wolves up close through one way glass as they were fed raw chicken. Amazing! And then as we were leaving another pack began howling in unison. Very special. There is a restaurant but we didn't have time to enjoy it as we had to catch a flight home. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Nicky Veitch — Google review
A nice place to enjoy nature and watch wolves though I did not come at the best time. There was snow on the ground and started melting, so the road was wet, dirty and slippery (I felt twice and luckily I didn't get hurt).
Remember to come before the feeding time (twice a day at 11:15 and 15:45) and not to miss the feeding though it lasts a few minutes. The wolves are around before the feeding.
Seems they are/have been expanding to include more animals and activities that will make it worthwhile for the long drive up there.

Great location, well organised and friendly service.
Beware it is 1500 meters up in the Alps - you need some good clothes and take some food with you... it is pretty much a wild forest so not many options to get your meals bought on location 😉

The Park Alpha is located in the Mercantour Alps, on a highs of 1900m over sea, nearly 2 hours drive from Grasse. The way is curvy and due to the big storm Alex, three years ago, especially the streets in the mountains are damaged and you really could see what water is able to destroy. Arriving at the park we first went to the store and got some nice things to remember this visit. Afterwards we went to the park itself, a little bit higher the street than the store, more in the valley. We had some time to see the surrounding and at 5pm our guided tour, a very well animal things known women and very well english speaking women went with us in the inner park to see the mountain goats first and then to see and feed the iberian wolves. This was amazing and wonderful to be part of it. Can't believe to be so close to a wolve. After this we went over to another side in the park and could see the european wolves pack and our guide told us so many things, answered any question to know about wolves in general as well as special things for this area and the wolves. I would like to say a very big thanks to her for this time to spent with us to get this experience with the wolves. We only could recommend this place to support and see this wonderful animals. We will come back to this beautiful place some time.... thanks!

I took part in a private tour to learn about the wolves and about the job of an animal caretaker. My guide was professional, shared her knowledge in a fun way and showed both passion and expertise for her job. It was interesting to see behind the scenes, to be able to take part in their daily chores and to get to meet the wolves up more close.
The storm had done a lot of damage but things are being rebuilt and still the park is able to offer a powerful experience to anyone who loves wolves and wants to spend a day in beautiful landscapes.
In their work they respect and protect the surrounding nature and keep things that are wild as wild as possible. The visitors also get educated about wolves which helps younger generations to understand these animals and perhaps sparks a desire to work for the good of wildlife in future.
Thank you for making my visit memorable. It was a pleasure.

Expansive ski resort with cross-country trails, a terrain park, lessons & childcare.
Medium sized, friendly resort with plenty of amenities and some lovely runs, almost all of which are snow cannoned, although not a particularly massive skiable area. Very pleasant to stay in, wouldn't hesitate to return. A bit more peaceful and relaxed than some of the larger, more famous resorts, even at the weekend!

Great ski station with various shops to hire equipment and an easy slide towards the main slopes. There was a lot of diversity in terms of slopes and its accessible for beginners and experienced skiers as well. They also check covid passes regularly which made me feel safe in the station.

Nice ski location not far from Nice. There's a lot of beginner slopes (green and blue) but also some good advanced ones if you need. The daily tickets are fair prices and also you can get food and drinks at plenty of places. All in all a nice place the only downside is that the buildings look a bit unromantic.

This was a great resort for beginners with hotels right on the slopes. The public bus only cost 1.50 euros each way and it runs twice a day to and from near Nice airport terminal 1. You can also get between the airport terminals for free on the tram. There are other slightly more expensive buses that run at other times throughout the day depending on your flight arrival time.

A great place for beginner/intermediate skiers and skateboarders, with a diverse set of blue, red and green slopes (there are only a few black slopes). This is an medium sized ski resort which will be fine for most, although if you want longer runs and even more variety you may prefer a larger location. Shops, tourist centre and amenities are also conveniently located near the main road.

The Hanbury Botanical Garden, situated in Mortola Inferiore near the French border, is a stunning 19th-century landscaped and terraced garden featuring an extensive collection of exotic and local plants from different climate zones. We visited on the 7th of March 2018, the weather was cool but sunny, being so early in the year we had no great expectations. However we were stunned by the beauty of the place, there was very little in flower, though the variety and types of plants and trees was enough to keep us amazed throughout our visit. Every corner turned produced a new vista, which kept the camera clicking. The park is on the side of a steep hill, which drops down to the sea, but following the prescribed route was never difficult. Alternative routes or guides were available for disabled and the blind. The staff were very friendly, helpful and patient with my bad Italian. The cafe at the very bottom of the hill by the sea sold coffee, ice-cream, filled baguettes and cold drinks. A limited selection though adequate selection.

Very overpriced. The facilities were very dirty. The showers were horrible. No soap or toilet tissue. No garbage disposal site evident. Not much info given at check-in other than taking our money. Only French or Italian spoken. Person at reception (and the signs) say the gate is locked at 2200... we got back at 2110 and the gate was already closed and locked with nobody around. Only used this place as there weren't any other reasonable alternatives.

This is a nice campsite with great views, very clean amenities and friendly staff. However there are some issues! First is that there are only a small number of showers and toilets for a site of this size. Secondly these facilities and the site generally is looking very tired and needs a significant overhaul. Finally the price is way too high for the quality of the amenities here. We have stayed in places half this price that are better serviced. The route in is challenging which ever way you choose - best avoided if you have a large van. Steps up and down to town do make you very fit! Access to the train station is great for visiting other towns and Menton is lovely.
Mark Trewin — Google review
An ideally set campsite just outside of Menton. 15 min walk to town down the steps, a lot longer coming back up. One toilet per gender and 2 showers each. Water ranged from tepid to boiling hot depending on how many were in use. No toilet roll, no soap and no hand drying facility. Not sure if they had a washing machine as we couldn’t find it. The woman at reception was very nice and spoke good English. Wi-Fi was ok but didn’t reach our pitch. €44 per night for 2 people with a tent and car with electricity. Our car did not fit on the pitch. The pitch was rocky and on a slope. The tent pitches are located beside a busy junction with car noise late into the night and even a bin lorry arriving around 10pm. The tent sites also have no view of the sea which is probably what the steep price is for. Not a bad campsite to be fair but just wasn’t worth double the price of other sites.

Would definitely come again!

I've stayed here a few times on tours through France. It is suitable for tents, and has some great views depending on where you pitch. The toilet/shower facilities are poor though, and it is crazy expensive at around €30 a night just a bike and tent and one/two people.
Carl Michael — Google review
Difficult to access the site, even using the recommended route. Views are spectacular but very difficult to access the town, and coming back up 300+ steps is not for the faint hearted. 2 sets of sanitaires we were closest to the more updated block, but it was something of a trek, especially if you need to go to the loo during the night. Decent restaurant next door to the site for meat eaters, but no fish or vegetarian options.
Not the worst site, but I wouldn’t be rushing back especially at these prices.

We absolutely loved this campsite!
The drive up through town was a little hair raising, so try and come around the back way if you have a bigger camper. If you come through Menton there is a few hair pin turns on a steep slope.
On arrival and for the whole stay the staff were very helpful and friendly! We were given a full intro to the camp, what was where, how to order breakfast and get into town. The showers and toilet were clean and comfortable. The views are amazing and it’s pure tranquility up there!
It’s around 10 mins walk from Menton back up to the campsite up steep steps so keep this in mind.
Our favorite campsite along the Rivera!
P.s the pizzeria next to the campsite is absolutely amazing for views and pizza! A real hidden gem! Staff lovely here too!

Friendly staff. Nice camping spots woth some shade, but there are gravel and hard pressed soil instead of grass = more ants around and inside the tent. VERY expensive compared to other campings here, 47 Euro for one night 2 adults, 2 kids and a tent, without electricity. The gates closes at 10 pm, so after that you can't access your camping spot with car. Only 2 toilettes for the whole camping, but they are clean. No paper on the toilettes "due to covid restrictions", still. The dish wash sink gives only burning hot water (2 seconds, then you have to press the button again) and you can't lower the temperature. Unfortunately no other campings around.
Anna Samuelsson — Google review
The location of the site is brilliant, right on the side of a sunny hill in an olive grove just 15 minutes walk down into the bustling town of Menton. Our pitch overlooked the distant bay and we could see the tops of the wonderful buildings below. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The problem with the site is that it its very expensive (around 50 Euro for two people, a dog and a campervan without electricity) and the toilets / showers / washing up facilities are quite poor. The water was always much too cold and there was only one toilet in each of the two bathrooms (the female one had a broken seat too). The whole shower block was very dated, not very clean, and badly built and in need of rebuilding.
In our 4 week camping trip we stayed in 10 different campsites all over Europe. This one was easily the most expensive, and it definitely also had the worst facilities. The problem is that there is nowhere else to stay in the area, and it does have a great location, so you will just have to put up with it I suppose. Even we stayed a couple of extra days - C'est la vie! Hopefully they will demolish the showers and rebuild them, adding a few more toilets, over the winter when the site is closed...

Stayed here two nights after finishing hiking the GR52. Thought the price (€27/night for two people in one tent) was reasonable given it’s in Menton. The facilities were fine, they got a bit messy by the evening but were cleaned overnight. It’s a 15 min walk to the beach and the staff were friendly enough. This is a basic campsite but provided everything we needed. It’s about 300 steps from town into the campsite so not suitable for those without a car who are unfit! Only real criticism is they told me when I tried to book on the morning of the day I finished my hike that I couldn’t book a place and it was first come first served which can’t possibly be the policy, so not sure what happened there…This is a great base for exploring the beautiful local area at an affordable price. Bring your own toilet paper, it’s not provided!

The Marc Chagall Museum in Nice is a must-visit for any Chagall enthusiast, featuring an impressive collection of his work from paintings to sketches to mosaics. The museum is particularly notable for its series of Bible illustrations created by the artist during his lifetime, reflecting his Jewish heritage.
Wonderful museum. A very good container for the works of great Chagall. Also very comfortable on its own and for visiting with children (we were with 4 kids aged under 10, all were very interested and this is thanks to how the works are arranged and presented).

Great layout, a good number of large paintings by Chagall, and also an impressive set of prints including prints that were made for books. It is definitely worth spending a couple of hours. My only disappointment (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that the paintings are mostly picked from the religious works of Chagall, and some of the masterpieces are missing. Nonetheless, there's a sense of awe from standing in front of these paintings.

We visited the Marc Chagall museum and enjoyed our visit. The crowds can be very challenging, so pack your patience. The usually museum closes for 1 hr. From 1-2 pm for lunch. In addition to the museum galleries, there's a small restaurant, garden, and gift shop, all of which stay available during the lunch break..

Great artist, but I did expect more pictures to watch. Around 60 pictures are presented in this museum. Entry was under 10€.

A must museum for those fans of Modernist Art. In this one, the visitor will find many works religion-inspired of the artist: depictions of illustrations related in the Old Testament, as the artist was Jewish. Also, some works are abstracts, free to interpretation.
Chagall was as well remarked for stained glass windows, and some of them can be found in this museum.

Well curated collection of Marc Chagall's work. A state of art gallery in a nice setting. Loved the rose collection which went with the perfume experience. It was once in a life time experience.

This art gallery showcases a fantastic style that is truly captivating for those with a specific taste. If you resonate with that particular artistic sensibility, you'll thoroughly enjoy the experience. However, if the style doesn't align with your preferences, you may feel out of place and uncomfortable. It's a venue that caters to a niche audience, making it either a delightful haven or a slightly unsettling environment depending on personal artistic inclination.

What an absolutely wonderful museum to visit while in Nice. Filled with his paintings, drawings, lithographs and prints, as well as his famous stain glass. It’s not a large museum and you can see everything in about an hour. At 10 euros a ticket, it’s absolutely worth it.

Superb collection of Chagall’s artwork. We thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a QR code for commentary of some of the artwork which is very helpful. Also a nice addition is the QR code for kid’s commentaries as well.

The museum is rather little, and it doesn't take more than 1,5 hours to see most of it, even if you adore Chagall. It is interesting that it was built like a church, according to Chagall's wishes. The paintings have mostly religious themes, but there are some more abstract and some more "personal". Worth visiting if you have spare time in Nice.

The museum is dedicated to the works of Marc Chagall. The visit can be for about an hour and there is a French film on screen about the life of the painter.

Unforgettable experience. Super well built museum, all the main pictures have free audio guide, that you can be listening from your phone. Free entrance for students. Touchy explanations of Chagall’s ART, beautiful memories and new things to learn.

My only criticism would be the lunch time shut down. It was not clear that the museum, in fact, was open until 1.00pm, although the tourist information said it closed at 12.00.
Nevertheless, it was a fantastic art museum with an excellent film about the life work of Chagall, which we cut short because we thought we had to leave by 12.00.

The Chagall Museum left a profound impression on me. Upon arrival, I noticed there was a queue, but to my pleasant surprise, it progressed quite swiftly. Inside, the artwork was nothing short of spectacular, capturing both my imagination and admiration. Even though the museum was bustling with visitors, each piece was so compelling that the presence of the crowd seemed to fade away. It's an experience I'd recommend to anyone; the masterpieces are an absolute must-see.

Wonderful to see the stained glass and paintings. Also the modern collaborative works - the room with perfumes matched to the paintings added another level to the experience.
Note - metal detectors and bag search on entry. Liquid is not allowed in the building but there is a water bottle 'park' where you can collect your liquids when you leave.

The worst experience I have ever had at a museum. We traveled in from Cannes for my birthday; I checked the website beforehand to make sure they were open, etc. We arrived when they re-opened from lunch and joined the queue outside. We waited 40 minutes in the rain before two large tour buses pulled up and emptied loads of people who walked straight into the museum. A man then came out to tell those of us queuing that the museum had reached capacity (even though it was only 3pm and the museum is open until 5pm) and no one else would be accepted. He closed the gate and that was it.
It’s a shame as I visited the museum once before and loved it. I was really looking forward to returning for my birthday. I have never been treated so callously by a museum and would never give them my money again.
If you want to visit despite the rude staff and abominable customer service, my recommendation is to arrive early and maybe call ahead to make sure no tour groups are expected.

A very nice museum with a good collection. Be prepared to surprises during your visit. First I had to wait at the entrance as the number of visitors was too high. Then half of the museum was closed, ticket price was reduced from 10 to 8 Euro.

It was really interesting but the stuff started to ask us to leave 40 minutes before closing time. Was a bit confusing and we couldn’t check all beautiful works.
And we had to wait around 20 minutes outside due to the tour bus - not the fault of the museum but not a good experience.
Castle Hill is an iconic Nices park with stunning city and sea views. There's a man-made waterfall and cafe on site, making it a great destination for a leisurely afternoon or evening out.
Lovely park in middle of Nice. Wonderful views of the whole city, the mountains and the ocean with a waterfall feature right below that you can walk up to.
There were archaeological finds and history buffs would appreciate reading the placards. We didn’t explore much around the park though.
Paths are wheelchair accessible, steep in some moments but completely manageable. There’s even a little cafe at the peak of the castle overlooking the city.

Nice spot to see a wonderful view. Not far away from the waterfall and way to go up higher. Elevator was not in service today but even for those with lower mobility, steps can be taken a little at a time with spots to sit along the way. Check it out!

Beautiful place with a fascinating view of old Nice . Beautiful nature, an impressive fountain.
In an open air cafe on a hot day, you can sit and enjoy a glass of cool beer or ice cream and then again continue sightseeing
of the historical sites or just stroll through the park. It is possible to walk down the stairs to
the promenade through the picturesque greenery.

If you want great views of the coastline, this is a great place. Captures the city of Nice and the water in a stunning picture. Highly recommend. The elevator/lift is free to use, just walk inside off the street and follow the signs.

A must if you're in Nice on holiday. Many stunning views from different viewpoints and lovely waterfall. Place to have snacks & drinks on top but take note, cash only! Was really interesting walking up from the town side and coming down the hill on the sea side.

Beautiful beautiful must visit place in nice. Either go early morning or later in the afternoon to enjoy the best views of the city. The lift to the top is free but can easily get crowded otherwise there is always the option to walk up to the hill which will roughly take 20 mins. There is a beautiful waterfall and park on top. Everything is free for the public no tickets required

Would recommend visiting when you are in Nice. Beautiful views from the top of the hill. You can also see a waterfall. Very peaceful park. There is also a toilet at the top which costs €0.50. Rewarding if you bring a picnic and eat it at the top.
Unfortunately the elevator was out of service when we visited but the walk up only took about 30-40 minutes at a slow pace.

Amazing view from this hill lead to the water fall. You can see the whole promenade from here and even nice airport you can watch the planes land and take off. The view looks amazing great at sunset and highly recommend. There is a lift you can take so you don't have to take the steps.

Unbelievable view on the Old City, the Old Port, the whole of Nice. Excellent playground. Free admission. You can climb the stairs from the side of the Old City, that is quite difficult. Or you may climb from Old Port if you prefer a more gentle path. An artificial waterfall, beautiful views, ancient, excavations, lifelong impressions....

Also known as Castle Hill, you have the option to walk up stairs, take a free elevator or apparently take a road train (for €12 I think, but I did not see or use this).
There were amazing views, and a waterfall, as well as some architectural ruins to see. On the day I visited, there were some people dressed up for photos, some zumba near the cafe and some others doing yoga. It was a really hot day so I bought some water at the top (€2 a bottle which was not cheap but very cold!) The cafe also sold many other drinks and there were tables and chairs for patrons as well as areas with benches.
It was very scenic and felt very relaxing, for me definitely worth the climb!

If you're looking for a stellar view of Nice, check out Colline du Château. This place is simply fantastic! It's a prime spot for a bird's-eye view of the city, and the best part is, it's free.
Whether you fancy a climb or prefer a lift, they've got you covered. Plus, the spot is stroller and wheelchair friendly, so it's perfect for everyone.
But that's not all. Once you're up there, there's a pretty garden to chill in and some shops where you can grab a bite or a drink.
We decided to descend via the road, and it led us right back to the old town, Monument, a Giuseppe Garibaldi place, to be exact.
All in all, a must-visit if you're in Nice. It's a five-star experience for me!

Amazing panoramic views of the whole city, very nice park and waterfall.
The steps are a bit of a hike but apparently there is also a lift.

There are 2 cafes at the top also.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this place if you are in Nice! You have several options to get up to the mountainside. There is a tram that can take you up; it will cost you about 12€, but it's worth it if you aren't capable of climbing the stairs. You can also drive up; there is parking up there, or you can simply take a taxi or Uber. I decided to take the stairs.

It’s free! There’s an elevator you can take up or take the stairs, driveway up/flat surface where you can travel by a cute trolley train. This is a family friendly park, it’s huge up at the top with several different playgrounds for kids of all ages from toddlers to middle school. Lot’s of open space, sitting areas, views, outdoor cafe that serves, beer wine, sandwiches, burgers, ice cream. Toilets are .50€ or 1.50€ on a credit card. Very relaxing open space

Colline du Château offers a wonderful viewpoint with panoramic vistas of the entire city of Nice. The climb to the top, though a bit steep, is rewarded with breathtaking scenery and a cascading waterfall along the way. After enjoying the views, you can descend on the other side of the mountain, perfect for a leisurely walk. At the hill's summit, you'll find two historic cemeteries to explore—one Jewish and the other Catholic—as well as two panoramic viewpoints offering stunning perspectives of Old Town and the port.
Sue Real — Google review
Although the history of this hill can be traced back to the 11th century, there are actually no eye-catching monuments and no historical ruins. The road sign up the hill indicates WC, but it is actually closed, which makes it very inconvenient for tourists. . The reason why it is known as the top tourist attraction in Nice is because, in fact, there is really nothing interesting to see in Nice.
People who come here are looking at Nice Bay and Nice City from the observation deck. But for local residents, this is a good place for a walk, not a special scenic spot.
The mountain is not high. You can climb up the mountain or take the elevator. There are several scenic spots on the way up the mountain with beautiful scenery and delicious food, so I think hiking is the better way.
Martin Miler — Google review
Wonderful view point. You have to go all the way to the top on the stairs and see a wonderful panorama of the entire city. There is also a waterfall on the way. You can go back down on the other side of the mountain, it is a good place for a nice walk.

The scenic walk up to the hill is refreshing, with charming pathways, and plenty of spots to pause and enjoy the surroundings. As I climbed up, the panoramic views of the city, the iconic coastline became breathtaking.
I highly recommend to take this route and enjoy a peaceful moment of the French Riviera from this scenic viewpoint

Great panorama view of Nice. Definitely worth the walk. And take some time to go around and get different views from the top. Both to the city side and harbour side

We walked all the way up from Old Nice - quite a hike up steep roads and stairs. About 5,000 to 8.000 steps according to out Fitbit. We were on the north west end and didn't have the elevator /ascenseur which is on the south end off the Promenade Des Anglais.
But really worth the climb for the amazing views of the harbour, the beach and the city.
We got to see the sun set over Nice. A bonus.

Very disappointed with the way the carnival was conducted.
The place itself was ok but man is there 0 information about what happens on opening night.
They say its free for entry and then when you queue up suddenly everyone has tickets.
They block the whole view from the sides for the carnival and hold it in a super exclusive staged area.
We travelled all the way from UK for this for nothing.
If people say we should have bought tickets in advance, its clearly mentioned on the website that its free on opening day and doesn't mention about any tickets!

Lovely area with live music regularly. We found many shops and restaurants in the area. We didn't have a chance to see if uber was well represented here because our hotel was close enough to the water as close enough to Nice Massena that we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Old city is very near. So is the castle hill. Both places I would highly recommend. The beech of course, too! We found it quite easy to communicate as English speakers. We were only in Nice 2.5 days but would happily return to this area!

If you're in the French Riviera, you clearly have to come to Nice and to visit this place. It's always full of people, a lot of places where you can seat. Thanks to the metro it's pretty easy to go there. Also most of the time there are artists which perform music.

The place was simply beautiful. There are lots and lots of services like restaurants, bars opened till night, markets, clothing markets and souvenir markets. The bus servise works also very good all around the city. You can visit a lot of places in the city like Massena square, Garibaldi Square, the old city centre, the castle, the English promenade. There are many things to do and to visit. You must Go there!!!!

Place Massena is a main public square close to the Promenade De Anglais.
It is very wide and open and clean and has a great atmosphere, must when visiting Nice.
A tram line runs down to Place Massena along Rue Jean Medecins.
There is shopping, restaurants and various outdoor entertainment at Place Massena.

Lovely place for kids chill out in hot days. Two down point though: locals take dogs for a ride in the middle of kids playing and some others smoking closing by where there are kids around.
The Promenade des Anglais is a palm-lined street that features a bike path and is emblematic of Nice, the beautiful French city on the Mediterranean Sea. It's one of the most famous seaside promenades in the world, attracting tourists from all over who come to sample the local cuisine, relax on the beachfront or take in some of the city's famed sights.
It’s a nice walk along the promenade by the seaside. If the weather is good, it’s really worth the time to stroll along here and enjoy the coastline of Nice.

It is about 7km of magic. Whenever I am Nice I have to walk this walk where I get to enjoy the Mediterranean sea, different people walking long locals, and visitors. Different generations from all walks of life, it feels like a small world. I am glad that the city of Nice didn't allow anything to be built between the beach and the promenade.
Thank you Nice for having this spectacular space that can make you go on a journey.

The Promenade des Anglais in Nice is an iconic destination that truly lives up to its reputation. This famed promenade stretches along the Mediterranean coast, offering spectacular views of the azure sea on one side and the charming cityscape of Nice on the other. It’s a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban elegance.
What I loved most about the promenade was its vibrant atmosphere. It’s a bustling hub where both locals and tourists come together, whether it’s for leisurely walks, jogging, or simply sitting on one of the many blue chairs lining the walkway, soaking in the sun and sea breeze. The length of the promenade provides ample space for everyone, ensuring a relaxed experience despite its popularity.
Along the way, there are numerous cafes and restaurants where you can indulge in some local cuisine or enjoy a refreshing drink. The beachfront is easily accessible, inviting you for a swim or a sunbath. The palm trees and the well-maintained surroundings add to the charm of the place.
The Promenade des Anglais is not just a place to visit; it’s an experience to immerse yourself in the essence of Nice. Whether you’re looking for a place to exercise, relax, or simply enjoy stunning views, this promenade is a must-visit. It embodies the spirit of the French Riviera and is an integral part of the Nice experience.
