Remains of a venerable fortified castle atop Mt. Harşena, with ancient royal tombs & valley views.
One of the best places to see 360 degrees of the city from above. The entrance fee is 25 lira per person. It is not difficult to reach and it is a good place to relax.

Wonderful castle but can’t give it more than 1 star because we arrived just after 4pm and the guard wasn’t willing to let us up because it was “closing” (official closing time was 5pm and there were still plenty of visitors). We managed to convince him to give us 10minutes (and he happily took our money) but he closed at 4.30pm so he could head off with his friends who were hanging around - to the disappointment of all the people visiting. Horrific attitude for a historical site.

Amasya, a charming city nestled in the heart of Turkey, is a true gem that enchants visitors with its rich history, architectural beauty, and picturesque landscapes. Known as the "City of Princes," Amasya offers a glimpse into the past with its well-preserved Ottoman-era houses, ancient rock tombs, and historical sites such as the majestic Amasya Castle. The city's unique location along the banks of the Yeşilırmak River adds to its allure, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery. Amasya's warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with its delicious local cuisine and hospitable residents, creates an unforgettable experience for travelers. Whether strolling through the streets lined with traditional wooden houses or exploring the archaeological treasures, Amasya is a destination that captures the heart and leaves an indelible mark on anyone fortunate enough to visit.

Really good view of amasya the climb is a little rough with small stairs and steep hills, the wind and the view up at the top is amazing. You should bring water with you because it gets really hot when you are climbing.

This is something marvellous and grate. Old house, but renovated. Nice view on the river or on the castle! Very clean! Very Good breakfast. The staff is like polite and friendly! The owner Ensar is like a real friend, whom I seem to know for many years before: I have got a lot of useful information and support from him (about my trip) . And he speaks English very good! One of the best places!!! I recommend 100%!!!

Museums
Archaeological museum featuring artifacts like ceramics, weapons & coins from various civilizations.
Well-organized museum with all signage in English.
N M — Google review
A great museum in Çorum that is worth visiting. My Turkish is not that great and I was pleasantly surprised that all information is also written in English. The museum contains many archaeological findings, especially from the Hitites, Assyrians, ancient Greeks and the Romans. The museum contains so many time periods from the bronze age untill the Ottoman period, and it even has a ethnographic hall where you can see how life was in the Çorum province.
The museum is informative, clean, staff is helpful and friendly. When I visit Çorum next time I will come back to the museum.

Small but high quality museum owing its richness to the incredible amount of Hittite, Phrygian, and Byzantine history in the area. We'll worth a visit to get a better understanding of the overall history of the region.

Very interesting, beautiful museum. I was amazed, learning about the vast history of the Hitits and of Çorum and its vicinity.
The museum is built beautifully inside an ancient hospital so it is also by itself a place to marvel at!

If you are interested in ancient civilization called hitits, this place is the second must to see place after hattusas. It is a well organized, compact and informative museum. All exhibitions have access for disabled. Museum's cafe is small and not so many drinks and it has also a souvenir shop inside.
Navigation directs you very well and easy to find a parking area around.
The museum also have some exhibitions about Roman empire age, Selçuklu age and recent ottoman age. But they are very limited and not so much informative.
I recommend to visit there before or after hattusas.

Neat place. I appreciate how the female only shops have pink lights to indicate it, so I can avoid waltzing into a shop and realising all the women there are uncomfortable. I will have to deduct one star due to the lack of visual variety, making every shop I walk to the same as the last, as well as a lack of quality clothes.

(Translated by Google) Even though I have been living in Çorum for about 4 years, I have never had the chance to go to Çatak Nature Park. However, I had the chance to go here last weekend. We arrived at Çatak Nature Park after traveling approximately 27 km with my family on Sunday afternoon. My first impression was of tall and thick pine trees and a forested area. By the way, we paid a fee of 10 lira to enter Çatak Nature Park by car. Later, when he entered the nature area, he was greeted by a large crowd of people. Almost all of Çorum came here. Anyway, we drove ahead and looked for a place to sit and have a barbecue. After some searching, we were able to find a bench to sit on and a place to barbecue. I put our belongings away and started for the barbecue. After collecting some wood, I poured the barbecue coal on it and lit the fire. Then I roasted the barbecue chickens over the fire. Later, after roasting the peppers, we ate them with great pleasure. Then we continued our pleasure with tea and snacks on the tube. Our child had fun in the children's park opposite. Of course we watched it. Then we went downstairs to pray. After ablution and prayer, our child had fun in the children's playground in the entrance area. Then we left Çatak Nature Park. But even when we were leaving, the magnificence of nature was still before our eyes. Later, we stopped by Güzelce dede, which is on a dominant hill on the border of Çatak village. We said our prayers and left. Then we returned to Çorum center.

Indoor museum is definitely not a rich one, half an hour is enough to see every item closely. Some of the items are not listed in display (no numbers).

While certainly small compared to nearby Hattusha/Boğazkale, Alaca Höyük is still a fascinating place to visit if you're at all interested in history and archaeology. The Sphinx Gate and postern tunnel are especially interesting. To see what valuables were dug up at Alaca Höyük you'll need to visit the Çorum archaeology museum or Ankara's museum of anatolian civilizations as very little was left in the little on-site museum.

Very beautiful and relaxing place to spend time with family and loved ones.
In winters the lake is frozen and there are less people there. There is a cafe also and WC.
In summer you can see beautiful and vibrant colours of the season.
One should definitely visit.

1,5 hours away from Ankara city center. A small lake and autumn leaves all over the forest ground if you catch the time. Fresh air and colors… Nice spot!

Small but a beautiful volcanic lake. Weather is cool in the morning and moderate in the afternoon. If you’d like to enjoy it with less people, visit on a week day since people use this place as a weekend escape for family time & grill. It’s heavily crowded during national holidays.

The view was ok, however, there were too many dogs and the security are not responsible for them. There's no any restaurants or markets there so you need to take all your needs with you. There's a WC but it's not clean and there's a mosque.

Wonderful recreation area, an oasis near Ankara rising above the Anatolian plateau offering respite from the stifling heat of the city in Summer. Must visit..well worth the 70 km drive.. note that barbecues are now banned..no more annoying smoke..🙂. And don't forget to buy famous local pickles on the way back in Çubuk ..😋😋😋 Weekdays recommended..

Beautiful scenery along the way. The park is great . Only issue is too much smoke from the berbeques
The Altınköy Açık Hava Müzesi is a great place to visit if you're looking for an outdoor museum with traditional Anatolian houses, craft and agriculture exhibits, and farm animals. The landscape is very calm and moody, so it's best to visit during spring when everything is lush green and fresh. The ticket price is 5 Turkish Lira for adults, so it's a great value for the area.
Amazing Garden , I love Turkish villages , so this place is just wonderful for me , Will orgnized tourist village . every thing there is just like real village . food services are good also with multiple choices and affordable prices, I recommend it for family to enjoy the holidays with their children , entrance fees are so reasonable, the wind mill is so beautiful and the terrace near to it , its on the top of mountain so you can have great view from there

It was a beautiful trip. The children and I had a lot of fun. We ate breakfast and my children ate the kofta. We took pictures of many places. Attending weddings was a beautiful addition that gave spirit to the place. The presence of animals was a very beautiful addition, especially the horses and geese. Thank you to all the polite workers.

Back in time: very nice place for a day out in the nature with a flavour of old village environment, great for children . Don't leave without buying the oven backed bread !

I have never known such a concept village to be in Ankara. While you are walking, cows are passing and seeing them and more. That's outstanding experience you could have in city. I strongly recommend you to go with guest who come from out of ankara. You can get local flavors with good services.

Great place to visit. Very calm and moody place. Better to visit during spring as everything shall be lush green and fresh. I visited during winter but still the landscape was awesome there.
There’s a hanging bridge which is closed for tourists, I guess for maintenance reasons but if it is open it would be of great interest for the visitors.
It is merely a walking distance from the bus station and the neighboring community also blends seamlessly into this landscape.
The ticket price is 5 Turkish Lira for adults.

Open air, portrayal of village antiques and culture. Take a bus from Ulus, go there. 9 TL entry price. Pass a day or a half in natural serenity. Have food around, buy a stone stove baked bread for home.

Inside city a place like oasis. Peaceful and silent. The museum concept is a old village. You can find a old school and some village buildings inside museum
Ömer Faruk Ocakoğlu — Google review
Amazing natural and cultural experience.. the kids loved it..
I only took one star away because the bridge was closed and we wished to try walking on it.. hope they will open it soon..
Lale Venture — Google review
This is a wonderful place to see great nature, to enjoy a peaceful moment, to see animals (chicken, geese, sheep, goats, deer etc), and buildings - all of which resemble a village of the past. It is a popular place for models and brides to be photographed. There r restaurants at regular intervals so u can refresh yourself. This is a place to come to for the whole afternoon. I love the water- and windmill, the kid's parks, and a long swinging bridge. (Unfortunately, it was closed due to repair when we were there.) The only issue is the menus. Every restaurant sells literally the same unhealthy food. Most are sweets and processed snacks and gözleme, which is OK, but there's little filling and lots of dough. No side dish, salad or fruit available. The selection of drinks is also incredibly weak. No plant-based mylk or vegean snacks.
Bea — Google review
Really nicely kept outdoor museum of traditional village life. Lots of walking up and down hills but in the pleasant shade of weeping willow trees and the stream running amongst them, it was very enjoyable. Lots of play areas for kids makes it a very family friendly atmosphere. The suspension bridge was closed so we didn't get a chance to go on it, but looks like it would amazing to walk across.
Mohammed Arshad — Google review
It's a beautiful place, you can see animals, enjoy your time walking through beautiful nature and even you can eat traditional food and sandwiches. You can even ride a horse if you want. It's a good place to take pictures too📸

One of the best places I've seen in Ankara but it was Saturday and we couldn't have fun because it was too crowded.
My advice to you is that do NOT go at weekends because it's too crowded. There're some small markets and restaurants but they're a bit expensive also there're some small souvenirs' shops. Good place to make a photo session. You have to buy a ticket to enter the museum, 2tl for students and 7tl for others, if you're a student, you need to show your student card. Also to enter the bridge you have to pay 1tl for students and 2tl for others. There're a mosque,a playground for children and clean WCs.

Aqua Vega Aquarium is a large shopping mall aquarium located in one of the largest malls in Turkey. It features an underwater tunnel with fish, sharks and more. The aquarium is very well organized and professionally run, and has a great amount of fish on display. It's a fun place for kids and adults alike.
Very organized and professionally run aquarium. It's not a very big facility but it's definitely worth the visit. After all what else is there to see in Ankara 🤷♂️
Yasin O. Yuksel — Google review
Very nice aquarium. A good amount of decent fish and some animal species. Overall very fun experience.
Fred Salloum — Google review
I am worried about the level of knowledge of the keepers. Especially worried about the poor snakes. We came in while most of the snakes were in blue (shedding). We did not see a single snake that was able to shed in one healthy piece. The green tree pythons each scale had skin coming off it individually. The humidity in their enclosures are not set correctly with what levels they need in mind. The ball python was compensating by soaking itself in its water dish. Either get people who knows what conditions needs to be met to take care of these animals, or let them go somewhere where there are people who do know how to take care of these animals. As another negative comment: the monkeys area smelled awful, I almost gagged. I had to hold my breath passing by them. Poor animals are being forced to live under cruel conditions at this “aquarium”.
Do not come here and do not support these animal abusers.

The aquarium was a great experience for kids. We enjoyed every single minute there. There were many different types of fish and animals, spread over two floors. We even got to feed some of the fish for 100TL. The entrance fee was reasonable, 190TL for adults and 130TL for kids.

There was a very bad smell on the jungle animal section

Exceeded my expectations. Doesn't only have an aquarium, has lots more areas and really cool animals. You should go there if you have time to kill. Strongly recommend.

Great place to go with the family to spend 1.5-2 hours walking around enjoying the aquarium. It’s not the biggest or most variety aquarium but for the cost and location it’s great. The main attraction of this place is the “Blue Road” which is there aquarium tunnel which hosts a small shark. We were lucky enough going around 130pm that they were doing a feeding so that was fun to watch.
They have a family package ($20) and the cost is very reasonable for the aquarium’s size. Inside they have a fish feeding pond which again was very reasonably priced at 60TL for one or 100TL for two feedings. The gift shop is again reasonably priced and the photos they take for you at the entrance came out very well done!

It's a nice place to see some animals. Although service and building and selection was good; the price and the amount of space animals had was really bad. They looked depressed and without hope. I wish they either get a bigger place or they reduce the selection to accommodate for the species imprisoned there.
Qian Nivan — Google review
The aquarium fee was quite expensive. I paid 94 for 4. For a family, it will enjoy looking at sea creatures and some reptiles. For a couple or if you are alone, it would a unique experience only if you go for the first time in your life as many other countries offer better.

I do not understand how people running a mall this size think that a women’s bathroom with one toilet makes sense. Especially a bathroom located next to a children’s play area mainly occupied by women.
