Hindu temple with carved pillars & domes, set in gardens with fountains & illuminated at night.
No words can describe this place. This place is so beautiful that you will forget about everything else.
We went here on Saturday evening and the place was superr crowded. There are a lot of exhibits to see here and the main attraction is the temple.
It is advisable to go here in the evening as they do a light show and they also do a grand musical fountain starting from 7:30 to 8pm daily.
They have a CANTEEN also here where you can find few things to eat and it is not expensive
There is NO PARKING place here and evenings are super crowded so it is advisable to not drive here at all. It is better to walk and take a rickshaw.
They don't charge entry fee anywhere, you will have to pay only in the canteen for what you eat.

Prem Mandir in Vrindavan is a beautiful temple. It looks amazing during the day and becomes magical at night with pretty lights. You should visit both times to enjoy it fully. There's a cool fountain show with videos at night as well. It gets crowded on weekends, so come on weekdays for a quieter visit. You'll find lots of yummy food stalls and shops nearby too.
Akash Sharma — Google review
Very beautiful temple. But much crowded in the weekend. I visited on a weekend. Don't carry bags. Be careful with your belongings while staying in queue. Outside the temple, it was much traffic due to crowds in the evening. There are a lot of sweet shops and restaurants outside the temple. E.rickshaw can be got outside temple
Aranganathan S — Google review
Detailing and carvings are to be noticed closely. Amazing infrastructure and lighting. People are not allowed to take a look around nearby temple as it can be easily damaged.
The beauty of the temple will leave you awestruck. Evening is the best time to visit this place.
Gargi Sharma — Google review
It's more like a religious entertainment centre than a temple of worship. We came around 7:30pm and experienced their fountain show. It's huge, there's a lot to see but the focus is definitely on the fountains, displays etc. No bags allowed + thorough checking even with stampede level of crowd.
Dr. Nivedita Ghosh — Google review
Very beautiful temple, this is my first visit to this temple I have heard about but it is really amazing in real. The temple is very beautiful all this design and style is amazing, all the life events of Lord Krishna beautifully crafted on walls of temple.
There is also a theme park arround the temple where some stories of Lord Krishna a shown.
To really experience the beauty of this temple one has to visit in the evening time when the light show and fountain show started they make this temple more beautiful.
The crowd management is a lack from temple management they have to make more efforts in handling of the crowd.
Ankit Jadon — Google review
I will describe my experience at this beautiful temple in 5 points:
1. The temple architecture is so soothing for eyes.
2. For devotees it's a treat to visit temple dedicated to the charming, loving and Divine Lord Krishna.
3. The Cleanliness is at par with any best standard.
4. There is a canteen also inside the temple where the quality of food is also good in reasonable price.
5. In the nights the view of the temple becomes more exuberant.
Deepak Singh — Google review
Very Crowded on weekends but beautiful structure of mandir is designed mandir staff was so coperative and humble please put your any type of bag and camera laptop outside they are not allowed inside temple but you can carry your smartphone. Beautiful and Serene. A peaceful place to visit and relax. You get so devotional that you feel lost in the beauty of the temple. It is carved with a lot of love and skill. Best Time to visit is evening when lighting is up.

Prem mandir is huge and magnificent. The minute detailing and the carvings are worth watching. Main temple structure is surrounded by picturesque gardens with numerous variety of gorgeous flowers that portray beautiful stories of Lord Krishna. You feel very peaceful and delighted in the temple. They have a cafeteria which serves high quality and delicious food.

The lake lies nestled amidst mountains on either side, providing shelter to several exotic species of birds and water creatures like crocodiles. Visitors can witness the breathtaking sunrise over the tranquil waters of the lake while observing different bird species engaging in their morning activities.
One of the best sight scene viewpoints in Alwar District. A very popular weekends gateway for visitors especially in the rainy season and summers.
Boat ⚓ riding Is one of the eye capturing feature here. you can have an amazing boat ride with your friends and family with 8 pax maximum In a boat and enjoy boat riding.
There are a lot of food stalls that are available and serve good quality snacks and beverages outside the lake.
Not so far from Delhi, Gurgaon. You can plan a single day to visit this place and enjoy your weekend or holiday here.

Beautiful lake with serene beauty. Boat ride is strongly recommended. The best part is the boat ride which takes you for a ride around the lake. Entry to the lake is 100 rupees per person and there are different ranges for the boats. The normal boat with a capacity of 08 people costs 1200 rupees for 10 minutes and the speed boats costs 2000 rupees. We did go during the sunset and it was an incredible experience.

Its lake. you can see here monkey's and natute beauty. the main thing is here only lake. you can enjoy boating. boating charge was 800 per boat. you can hire for 1 to 8 passengers. cost will same 800 INR.

Silisedh Lake is one of the best tourist place in Alwar. It is nearly 15km from Alwar railway station. If you want to visit here you must visit in rainy season at that time the beauty of the nature reached at its peak. Also you can visit here to feel the nature.

Siliserh लेक 🏞️ / 🌄 सिलिसेर Lake - situated between mountain ⛰️ cover from either side and is home to varies 🦆 species of birds / 🐊 crocodile and other water species.
I visited here on a recent trip to Sariska, due to the moutain cover on majority sides the 🌞 sunrise is just beautiful over here.
We got to sight different water 🦚 birds feeding and making activity 🦢 in the morning.
Due to ongoing 🏗️ commercial activity found that there are plastic waste spread on the banks of lake which will cause an impact on this natural heritage which Government and people should take a collaborative cognizance and work together.
Vineet Mishra — Google review
Siliserh lake is situated 8 miles southwest of Alwar. It cover an area of about 7 (up to 10 square km with good monsoon) square km and are flanked by dense woodland and cenotaphs on its embankment.
It was Built in 1845 by Maharaja Vinay Singh, the then-ruler of Alwar, by constructing an embankment/bund on tributary of river Ruparel. The lake and the aqueducts that surround it were built to provide water to Alwar. The lake is flanked by its namesake palace, which was built at the king for his wife.Palace is now converted to Rtdc hotel. Boating facility also available.
Tourists generally visit the Neemrana Palace, the Sariska National Park and Jai Samand Lake before or after exploring the beautiful Siliserh Lake.
The lake is about 30 to 40 minutes away from the city of Alwar. There is an entry fee of INR 100 to reach the lake site. Being a tourist place, there is a boating ride also available for the tourists. A typical six-seater motor boat ride can be bought at INR 800 which lasts for about 30 minutes.
Sure, the boat ride if one of the best things to do to enjoy this expansive lake. But, bird watchers can bring their camera to capture the sights of the migratory birds and more species of winged creatures. The lake site generally remains windy and the water is quite clear. The presence of Aravalli Hills in the backdrop of the lake is perfect to enjoy a picnic on a pleasant day out. The lake is also home to crocodiles in some parts; the boatmen ensure they do not ferry the tourists in the reptile-infested areas.
There is a restaurant at the lake site which serves humble Rajasthan cuisine. Also, the palace is also worth visiting. Tourists from Delhi can easily reach Siliserh Lake in about three and a half hours.
The best time to visit the lake site is in the cooler months starting from November to February.

It is one of the points to visit in Alwar city. You can plan a weekend trip to enjoy the view and boating with friends and families.
Evening and morning view will be cherry on your trip. You can also opt to stay option on Siliserh Lake palace.
You will find a lot monkeys roaming around there. So be careful and keep your snacks in the bag else they will try to snatch from you.
Deepak Kumar — Google review
The place is full of vibes. Come in cloudy season or in rainy season and you can enjoy with a beer as well in house. 😂
Also the view is also great.
Ancient palace is not that good maintained actually but yes we can enjoy anywhere 😆
Amit Kataria — Google review
Nestled on the outskirts of Alwar en route to the Sariska Tiger Reserve, offers a captivating experience. The natural lake, cradled by the Aravali hills, presents a mesmerizing panorama.
Rumors of crocodiles add an intriguing element. The RTDC Hotel, Lake Palace, provides comfortable accommodation and dining choices, enhancing the overall stay. The culinary options are commendable, and alternative lodging can be found on the opposite side of the lake.
However, the presence of numerous monkeys, limited parking, and occasional fog obscuring the view are notable drawbacks.

It’s a very beautiful lake just for the purpose of photography. You can go and enjoy. There will be a cost of Rs.400.
I went in the month of July. When boating is off so if you are going, please check that boating is on then it’s worth going to this place otherwise you will see this lake from the fort.

One can do boating and speed boating in the crocodile infested water of Siliserh Lake. But the view from palace is just amazing. The cool breeze captures you in the moment. On a lucky day, it is possible to a see many crocodiles basking in the sun beside the lake.

Spent three days here. Sariska is a charming and peaceful locale & this resort comes well recommended when on a visit.
Was a lovely experience because of outstanding hospitality by the entire resort staff who smilingly and eagerly took up all our requests.
Infact this very aspect has made the resort a truly memorable place for us.
The resort features pleasant rooms, a pool, big lawns and a scenic backdrop of the Aravalli mountains.
Another thing which we really enjoyed were all the meals there, which were uniformly excellent. Different cuisines were served. Coupled with this was the very inviting way in which all guests were looked after in the Dining Hall.
Rajasthani folk dance & popular music, a DJ and dance floor and provisions for private bonfires in the lawns made things festive at night.

Beautiful place , the visitors need to keep the place clean as they litter . Even though there are people to do it. People should be taught the importance of preserving one's heritage.
Maha Goyal — Google review
Deeg Palace is undeniably a sight to behold - its grandeur and impeccable maintenance are praiseworthy. However, it's disheartening to see that both locals and tourists don't seem to take care of the place as they should. One particular eyesore is the pond, which has been filled with plastic, causing distress upon sight. Despite this, the overall beauty of the place is undeniable. It's worth a visit for its architectural splendor, but it's crucial that we all do our part to preserve its charm.
Gops Khurana — Google review
This could have been an amazing place but unfortunately not due to low maintenance.
It's called Jal mahal, and Jal was either missing or very dirty.
It's a huge complex, nice garden and a museum.
Accidentally we found this place can be visited while reaching Bharatpur or on way back to Gurgaon via Mumbai expressway. So no need to come here separately from Bharatpur, just while returning from Bharatpur use the maps to reach here. It will take couple of hours max and then carry on your journey back. Lot of time will be saved with this approach, and the place is nearly 1hr drive from Bharatpur.
No entry tickets required, tickets only for museum.
Parking place is limited.

Sunset looks beautiful from palace.

What a place! What a creation! Something beyond imagination. What heritage we have in India and how thoughtful and creative our ancestors were!
This is a must visit place for one and all. But the heart breaking scene was maintenance of the lake / pond surrounding which made us really feel pitty thinking the Raja who made this would not keep this ponded boundary in such shabby condition. And for this only govt can't do all as the local people also have to take the initiative of keeping it clean and dirt free. Packet of chips, bottles and what not were scene inside that black water! I request all the visitors to please keep this in mind that this place belongs to us, the Indians and we can't ruin it this way.
If get a chance, shall visit again. Photography inside the museums are not allowed hence posting pics of outside areas. Rs. 50 for adults and no ticket for kids below 15 years age. Definitely visit and enjoy the beauty.

Wildlife SOS - Elephant Conservation and Care Center is a facility dedicated to rehabilitating rescued elephants. The property is expansive, and visitors can take guided tours after reserving their spots online. To catch a glimpse of the elephants, it's recommended to visit around 3:30pm when they are taken out for a stroll. One notable elephant in the center is Suraj, who has the largest tusk.
It was an eye opening experience! Very warm and hardworking staff! They have a lot of information about treatment of elephants and the issues. There are volunteering opportunities for people who want to learn more or contribute. I’ll be back.

We couldn't enter the conservation centre. One must reserve their tour before visiting through their online portal . But here's a trick. If you want to see the elephants visit the place around 3:30pm. The elephants are taken outside for a stroll. (Suraj) the elephant has the biggest tusk 🦣

Let me start by saying 3 Cheers to Wildlife SoS (NGO/No for Profit Org.) for the amazing work that they do in their centers!
Had the opportunity to visit their Elephant Conservation & Care center @Churmura (Near Agra). It comprises of Elephants rescued from different levels of Human cruelty - some forced to beg on the streets of Mumbai; some performed in
Circus; some used as a symbol of Power & Royalty & many more.
Thankfully Wildlife SoS takes very good care of all rescued elephants & works hard to educate the younger generation about letting wild animals be wild and not using them for human entertainment & needs!
They also take very good care of all the rescued elephants.
Kind Note: This is not a Zoo or Park but a rescue center- all visits are permitted only with permission from the Wildlife SoS office & with a token donation that keeps the rescue work going.

On my son's birthday, we visited SOS Wildlife centre for elephants. Located near Mathura, it was an eye-opening visit for us. How can man be so cruel towards the biggest mammal on earth, the elephant.
The visit started with the educator explaining the motive of the ngo to rescue elephants and how they keep them in the rescue centre.
Thereafter, we were taken inside the rescue centre near the elephants and were told stories about their pasts. It was a sad affair to see their injuries of past, soe were blind, some had broken knee, some had their ears chopped off and the list goes on.
This was all done previously before rescue by humans obviously for commercial gains.
But that is one side of humans, the other is the people working at this NGO, people working 24 hours taking good care of these elephants now so that they are fast on the recovery mode and do not develop hatred in their minds for us the humans.
The visit was a memorable experience for my family and my small kids Shaurya and Jeevesh who loved the whole trip.
We had the opportunity to bathe this largest mammal with our own hands and feed them too.
Appeal to everyone to encourage, motivate and help these NGOs in whatever manner we can !!!!

To experience a dream of a lifetime one should visit Wildlife SOS Elephant Sanctuary. Elephants that had previously been abused and used for begging purposes get a second chance of life. All the elephants suffer from mistreatment, but Wildlife SOS is there to nurse them back to health both physically and mentally. It is an incredible organization!

There should be more places like these in the world. The animals are well cared for and every day they try to recover from the abuse they once had. Very happy to visit the site. It is important to bring money to buy souvenirs in the store, so you can support this wonderful cause.

Must visit place in Agra. They have elephants which are rescued from various places and these elephants needs support and care. It's an NGO driven place which claims that they are running on charity only. People must support this NGO and place for their Nobel cause. They are doing great job.
Imp- kindly drop email to their email id and seek appointment before visiting, unplanned visit may not be possible and may lead to long wait time at their gate। So book appointment first.

We were delighted to visit this elephant conservation sanctuary and see how much the lives of these majestic animals have improved. It is great to see how much happier the elephants clearly are here, compared to some of the awful conditions that they have been previously kept in. It is easy to see that everyone there has a lot of love and respect for these elephants and cares about their wellbeing. The staff at the centre were knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, knew each of the elephants by name and clearly loved explaining all of their different personality quirks! If you love animals, 10/10 recommend a visit (I'd also recommend a visit to the sloth bear sanctuary, run by the same organisation, which is inside the bird sanctuary on the way from/back to Agra). Visits are easy to arrange - we just emailed the centre and heard back within a few hours.

If you reach there without emailing them then they will not allow you to enter.
They have not mentioned this on their website. I don’t know when they will do it.
Visitors feel fool when they reach at the destination and they are not allowed to enter.
Basically they are trot make it a commercial activity.

Itmad-ud-Daula, also known as the Baby Taj, is a stunning Mughal-style mausoleum made of white marble and adorned with semi-precious stones. Built between 1622 and 1628 by Nur Jahan for her father, Mizra Ghiyas Beg, it is often considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal. The mausoleum features beautiful towers and a distinctive square top, set amidst luxurious gardens and composite buildings.
It is a historical monument quite beautiful but sadly not maintained at all. Agra Tourism Department and ASI which charges tourist should really do some serious maintenance work. Only extremely positive point was the monument details were also put there in Braille. Only tourist spot where this was done in Agra

This is open from sunrise to sunset. It is made up of white marble so some say it as a mini Taj Mahal and it has four doors. Back door is facing Yamuna river and the view is beautiful. You can sit here and enjoy the view. The art work on marble is beautiful and amazingly well done. Inside this, there are 4-5 graves are there which are present in four different corners of this monument. Rest this place is beautifully maintained by authorities.

The Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula is dedicated to Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the father of Nur Jahan. Itimad-ud-Daula was his title. This mausoleum situated on the banks of river Yamuna was constructed in 1626_28 AD. There are many things in this mausoleum, known as Baby Taj, which were later adopted while making the Taj Mahal. People say that at many places the carvings here look more beautiful than the Taj Mahal. Another attraction of this mausoleum is its dome made in the Central Asian style. The gardens and paths here enhance its beauty even more.
This mausoleum is the first mausoleum built in India which was made entirely of white marble. Pictures of trees, plants, animals and birds are engraved on its walls. Here and there the pictures of men can also be seen which is a strange thing because in Islam it is forbidden to use human beings as an object of decoration. Because of its beauty, this tomb is known as the Jewel Box.

Itmad-ud-Daula, often referred to as the "Baby Taj," is a gem of Mughal architecture nestled along the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. This exquisite mausoleum holds historical significance as the tomb of Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal, for whom the Taj Mahal was built.
You must visit this place whenever you are in Agra. Most of the people forget to visit this place. If you are a photo lover, you must take some time to take videos and photos.
The whole place is accessible. Wheelchairs are available at the ticket counter at free of cost.

This is an under-visited and underappreciated site that you should go see. It really gives you an idea for where Shah Jahan got the ideas for the Taj Mahal. As you can see from my pictures, there was almost nobody there, and it was pleasant to walk around.

Itimad-ud-Daulah, otherwise known as the Baby Taj was very good for gentle scroll.
This was the first Mughal tomb to be built entirely of marble. Gentle walk by a large garden make you think about both mouseleums.
Baby Taj was built by Nur Jahan and completed the construction of the building of the Tomb of her father in 1628 AD, nearly 7 years after his death.
Taj Mahal was built in period of 1632 to 1648.
Shah Jahan's favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, was the niece of Nur Jahan,. Mumtaz Mahal. died suddenly in 1631, after giving birth to the couple's fourteenth child. She is buried today directly under the center of the great dome of the Taj Mahal. in her memory by her deeply grieving husband.
Hmmm.....makes you think.......
Definitely worth visiting.

The Taj Mahal was inspired by Itmad-ud-daula , 30rs ticket. Along with the main building, the structure consists of numerous outbuildings and gardens. The tomb, built between 1622 and 1628, represents a transition between the first phase of monumental Mughal architecture primarily built from red sandstone with marble decorations, as in Humayun's Tomb in Delhi and Akbar's tomb in Sikandra – to its second phase, based on white marble . Located on the eastern bank of the Yamuna River, the mausoleum is set in a large cruciform garden criss-crossed by water courses and walkways.
The tomb is a must visit , less crowded, parking facilities available.

Itmad-ud-Daula in Agra, often referred to as the "Mini Taj Mahal," is a true gem. Though smaller in scale, its intricate architecture and delicate details rival its famous counterpart. The serene ambiance and historical significance make it a must-visit for anyone exploring Agra. This hidden treasure offers a more intimate experience, allowing visitors to appreciate the artistry and history in a quieter setting. A delightful addition to the Agra itinerary, especially for those seeking a glimpse of Mughal splendor on a smaller scale.
Mehtab Bagh, located in Agra, is a partially restored Mughal-era garden that offers stunning views of the Taj Mahal. This tranquil park features symmetrical landscaping and ample green space for visitors to enjoy. Originally built by Emperor Babur as part of a series of 11 parks along the Yamuna River, Mehtab Bagh fell into disrepair before being reconstructed in the 1990s.
Overall: as others said, garden could use some work but there were still pretty flowers (I went in May). But that's not why you go. You go for the beautiful Taj Mahal views which were great and it's possible to get pictures without any people in your shot, something not possible across the river at the Taj Mahal.
How to get there: we took a Taxi, organize it with your hotel or the taxi driver himself to take you both ways and wait for you while you're there. Taxi/car/bus parks in parking lot and can't go right up to entrance so mist stop about 1.5 km away. Tuk tuks are there to take you further to entrance (we paid 100 rupies round trip and he waited for us) or you can walk it. Entrance was 300 rupies cash (no card available at that time) for *foreigners* (a lot cheaper for Indian citizens) and we paid right there. Other reviews said buy online but we just walked up and paid.

Translated as 'Moonlight Garden' it is located across the Yamuna river directly opposite to the Taj Mahal.
It's construction has been attributed to both Babur & further beautified by Shah Jehan.
When I visited in March 2017, the flowerbeds were being readied for planting.
Very few if the available plants & trees were flowering at that time, but one can imagine what the garden would be like in full bloom.
Both the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort are visible from here.
For some reason many businesses in the North usurp the names of popular places to enhance their business

Great views of Tajmahal. The place where a black Taj Mahal would’ve been constructed if Aurangazeb didn’t imprison Shah Jahan.
Agra Development Authority has constructed another View point, both have the same views.
The parking is little far from the Garden and tickets are available online until 45 mins before sunset.

I luckily got an auto but otherwise it would’ve been riskier.

This is one of the biggest fort in a India about 70 acres now a days just a 20% of the fort is open for visitors. Entry fees is 35 rupee if you book online ticket. It's good if you have a guide with you he told you each and everything like a story inside there is a lots of mahal and garden if you want to visit then must carry water with you for exploring all fort min 2 hours you required. If you plan to visit this must come with family it's one of the memorable trip.

Very beautiful fort. Must visit.
I prefer taking a guide every time i visit a historical place. It gives me knowledge of why the place is designed in such way or hidden places and much more history..
I would recommend the same to others.
But only take government authorized guide.
General charges to guide are 450 to 500 approximately or written on board sometimes.

Wow, just awesome. It's located right in front of Agra fort railway station. Auto and taxi ride are very cheap, but they will trick into booking hotels, going to good restaurants or buying pethas. They all work on commission, never fall into their trap. There are many palaces in the fort, you will surely enjoy it.

An absolute must visit, you can walk around all day and enjoy the different sights. Unique architecture, lots of details and so much to see. I recommend really taking your time here and investigating every corner. There are plenty of great picture opportunities as well. Play with the squirrels as well!

The red fort of Agra is just amazing as it was shown in movies. The story of Red fort will just kept you bound. The beauty of this monument is mesmerizing. The fort is so big, it is divided in to multiple sections according to the kings name. Every little corner is actually designed so calculatively. If you see a single pillar, then also you will feel the art and work they have done over here. If you are visiting it, then you should go for guide also. They will tell you the details of every single corner. It was an amazing experience.

Amazing place to see.Combination of Hindu & Islamic Culture.
It's a huge fort.
Highly maintained.
The architecture, the vibe will take you in the ancient times.
Ticket Available online.
You should definitely visit here once if you are in Agra.

Thankfully it has been well preserved. Unfortunately, there are no signs to direct movement of visitors. The information boards are very brief and lack details. It would be beneficial if historical information of each structure/building is displayed.

Best place to see in Agra. Exterior is impressive and so does the internal parts of the fort. Eighty percent of the fort area is under the control of Army rest twenty percent is open for visitors. Hiring a guide is recommended as they will tell you about the history and architectural features of this fort.

No caption is required for this place. It is the Agra Fort. The great Fort was built by Mughals during their dynasty. Childhood dreams were fulfilled. Please bring your family members & enjoy this historical place. You will be amazed with their thinking, planning, and architect. Posting a few photos for my beloved friends. Detail whereabouts this place is easily available from online.

No need to describe this place for anyone. The sheer massiveness of this place and the story attached with it is enough to make you visit this place. It's a wonder how people with no modern technology built such huge forts and it's still standing. The fort is open everyday. You can visit the fort at any time. The fort opens at 6 in the morning. You can buy an online ticket before hand if you like. But this place doesn't get that crowded so you can choose to opt for buying tickets at the counter also. It's rs 50 per person for Indians. If you want to know about the place in detail you can opt for guides. But bargain with them as the rates can be very steep at times. Being there makes you think about the historic events that have happened there.

Very beautiful. I have visited on Friday and the rush was less. Easily you can spend 1-2 hrs exploring the entire fort. Some of the part of the fort are under maintenance which were closed.

One of the famous tourist attractions of Agra, The Agra Fort is a masterpiece of its own. Made up of red stone, this place is huge.
Probably the best time to visit Agra fort is in the winter/Rainy season.
Agra being hot, you will not be able to enjoy this gem of a place.
Buy tickets online to avoid the queue and carry a water bottle or 2 because it is huge and might take you 3-4 hours just to see this place.
Parking facility was also available nearby

This was a cool experience and really neat to hear the stories around the fort. For not much you can hire a guide to walk you through the full experience of it. It’s worth taking the time to fully understand all of the history and what it’s about. It was very busy the Saturday we went.

It was such an experience finally to have seen the enormous Fort. It is captivating and relatable to the grandness and history of India. Worth every penny of the 600 rupees as a foreigner. Lots of scope to try out photography skills. A good 2 hours is easy to see most areas. Calm and welcoming and memorable.

Taj Mahal, a 17th-century marvel in Agra, India, is a Mughal-style mausoleum made of marble. It features minarets, a mosque, and meticulously designed gardens. Rudyard Kipling described it as an embodiment of purity and beauty.
It's magnificent.. but there's better marble work in Mt.Abu.

Here, you will get the image of the monument reflected on the water. However, it is a crowded spot so you have to wait for your turn to be able to position here, and quickly take your shots once you're in front as others also want to be in this prime spot.

Cherish your moment there, an iconic heritage site. No wonder it's among the wonders.
Go to the site during proper day light and spend time till evening to enjoy the sunset moment.
The normal entry ticket costs 50 per head, whereas to the podium it will be 150. Of course it's worth visiting and look at the artworks from close eye distance. Keep your token handy, as it is required while exit.

As expected a truly incredible experience. It was magnificent and worth hiring a guide to explore the entire area. Recommend using the restroom before entering the grounds as they are very limited there and not great. Make sure to look at the detail

Always a stunning place to look upon, with a mesmerizing and breathtaking view, no matter how many times you have visited. Recently, a main mausoleum ticket has been introduced, costing ₹150. For those visiting for the first time, they might consider buying the ticket, but I suggest not to. There's nothing inside worth spending an extra ₹150 for , the main entry ticket is for ₹50 (also don't buy those shoes cover outside, you can get them for free at the main mausoleum entry and you only need them for main mausoleum )

How can you not visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World?! This palace is simply amazing and beautiful. I have no words for this beautiful structure. Beyond its beauty, there is a powerful story of the history, involving family, murder, imprisonment, death, and memorial after death. Despite seeing a lot of other visitors there, it didn’t feel crowded. And once you entered inside to see the replica of the tombs, you entered in single file that seemed to move along quickly. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful and overall it was fairly clean. Getting back was a trip! Waiting for the golf cart transport with the other visitors, there was no proper order or manners-so you gotta be quick if you want a seat on the transport back!

No doubt it's one of the 7 wonders of the world. Spectacular, Beauty created with great architectural skills. Hire a guide there and you will get so much more to know. It will take around 1hour 30 minutes for a full tour with a guide. It has been created so thoughtfully ages ago that you can't imagine. The symmetry in architecture, the 2D designing giving 3D illusions, the carvings of gems and the way they glow in light, I was so amused to see all that which I didn't know earlier. I admire the beauty but more than that the architectural skills. Must visit atleast once in a lifetime..

Well managed but for the first timers, it can be tricky to take autos from the car parking as autos are only allowed till a certain point. It is best to take government run battery buses from parking to entry point. From there just a 2 minute walk and one can buy entry tickets before getting in the queue. A big racket and ruckus about shoe covers, so please buy them in advance !

Absolutely stunning and marvelous; must-see in your lifetime. Even if the journey is long for you (40 hours for me to get here from Florida) it is worthwhile getting to see this fantastic structure. I highly recommend you pay for a guided tour as it will be educational and efficient. The great photography was a bonus! Indescribable the setting and the architecture as well as the love story here. Hire a local photographer for their digital copy then you don’t have to worry about getting nice photos. They know the nice shots for you. You could get a paper copy as a choice. Go to the other side across the river as well to see from a different view. It looks different depending on the time of day.Spectacular! Great history and amazing architecture! Must see whilst visiting North India. Absolutely loved it. Although if you are non Indian tourist, you have to be careful with local tour guides and shop owners not to try to charge you few times more for services and items.

UNESCO-listed national park & former Maharajah's hunting ground known for its abundant birdlife.
Heaven for bird lovers. You can spend as much time as you have in the park. Normal people 3-4 hrs. Bird lovers even 10-12 hrs is less.
You have to take rickshaw to view the park (150/hr) or cycle (150/day).
On foot it will be difficult as its 5-6 km one way. 100’s of species of beautiful birds are there including migrating birds which are not easily seen elsewhere.
I spend 8 hrs and came out as i ran out of camera battery. Rickshaw 150*8 = 1200rs but it was worth as rickshaw owners are well knowledgeable and hence no requirement of extra guide which is 250 per hour. Entry is 111 rs. Food options are limited. Two-three canteens which serve chips n drinks. So u can carry your food to help u through out the day.
Pelicans, python, ducks, geese, spotted deer baby were some of the highlights of my trip.
Will go again as it gave lot of freshness and peace away from crowd and hustle bustle of city life.

Beautiful and peaceful place. If you are interested in bird watching then you should go there because there are many migratory birds in winter. Bicycle rides and rickshaw safaris are also available. If you are from outside Rajasthan, there is a government guest house inside the park where you can stay for cheap rent.

An amazing place ,teeming with gorgeous nature sights, like the wetlands containing myriads of birds like cranes, storks, ducks.
And that's just the start of the trail. The most straight forward trail is almost 13 km long, with several shorter trails branching out.
Its best to reach early morning, 6.30am-ish so one can Bird watch peacefully. After, 8.30am the park gets full of families with idiots screaming "look look ,there is Bird" without knowing what Bird and scaring the birds away in the process.

On November 17, 2024, we visited Keoladeo National Park, traveling by car from Agra to Bharatpur and arriving in the afternoon. We hired both a guide and a battery car for the excursion. While they claimed that a guide was mandatory for those using a battery car, we noticed many individuals exploring without one. Nevertheless, our guide proved to be quite knowledgeable. He brought along an optical lens that allowed us to observe birds up close.
The optimal time to visit is during the winter months (November to January), when numerous birds migrate to the area around October. The park exudes tranquility and serenity, providing a relaxing experience for visitors. Overall, it is a highly recommended destination.

The core area is mind blowing where you can see breeding area of birds. It was mind blowing to see numerous types of nest there. Saw kingfisher hunting fishes also.
There's a very beautiful lake also where you can do boating, and it's unlike any other lake you may have seen in hilly areas. It's completely different, so serene and so beautiful lake covered with green / pink algae. It looked like heaven to me .
I fell in love with this place. Will visit again soon.

Just finished exploring Keoladeo National Park, a #UNESCO World Heritage site and protected bird sanctuary. While the park is home to 350 species, I was fortunate to encounter around 150. Witnessing the coexistence of migratory and indigenous birds was truly fascinating. My standout moment was observing the Bar-headed Geese, the only birds capable of flying at 30,000 feet. They embark on an incredible journey from Mongolia to India, crossing over the Himalayas, including Mount Everest. Birds, as the surviving dinosaurs, continue to thrive, and it's awe-inspiring to witness their resilience.

It's Paradise for bird lovers. It's also open for routine tourists too. Guides, bicycles, and e-rickshaws are available at an entry gate on rent to traverese in the national park. If you like nature walks or wildlife, you would love to visit this place. The park is a mix of woodlands, grasslands, wetlands, and lakes. You can spot thousands of water birds in the marshy area of the park. Though recent government norms have changed the rate card, and it might be a bit of an expensive nature trail. Hence, I will definitely suggest checking out the fare before finalizing your plan. If you are alone and can ride a bicycle, then it's pretty cheap to move into the national park.

The Panch Mahal is a magnificent multi-storied palace renowned for its column-based design and intricately carved pillars. It was constructed by King Akbar in honor of the revered Sufi saint, Salim Chisti, and served as a place of leisure and amusement for the royal family. Nestled in the heart of India, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that stands as a testament to the grandeur of Mughal architecture. Among the many architectural gems within this city, the Panch Mahal is a unique and striking structure that captivates the imagination of all who visit. In this review, we delve into the rich history, architectural brilliance, and cultural significance of the Panch Mahal at Fatehpur Sikri.
The Panch Mahal, also known as the "Palace of Five Stories," was commissioned by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. Fatehpur Sikri, located in present-day Uttar Pradesh, served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585. During this period, Akbar pursued a policy of religious tolerance and cultural amalgamation, which is reflected in the city's architecture, including the Panch Mahal.
The Panch Mahal is a five-story, open pavilion that stands as a mesmerizing example of Mughal architecture, blending elements of Persian, Indian, and Islamic styles. Here are some of its architectural highlights:
Architectural Symmetry: The Panch Mahal is characterized by its perfect symmetry, with each level having a diminishing number of columns and arches. This design not only adds to its aesthetic appeal but also showcases the Mughal emphasis on proportion and balance.
Diwan-i-Khas Influence: The design of the Panch Mahal is believed to have been influenced by the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience) in Fatehpur Sikri, which featured a similar open-pillared structure. This influence reflects the Mughal penchant for experimenting with architectural styles.
Breezy Design: The open pavilion style of the Panch Mahal allowed for excellent ventilation and cool breezes to flow through its five levels. This design feature was particularly important in the hot Indian climate, making it a comfortable retreat for the emperor and his court.
Intricate Jali Work: The Panch Mahal's lower levels feature intricate jali (lattice) screens that add a delicate touch to the imposing structure. These screens not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also served to protect the privacy of the royal inhabitants.
Central Pillar: At the center of the structure stands a single, elaborately carved pillar. This pillar symbolizes the central role of the emperor and his connection with the divine.
Beyond its architectural splendor, the Panch Mahal holds cultural significance:
Royal Retreat: The Panch Mahal served as a retreat and leisure space for the Mughal royal family. It was here that Emperor Akbar and his queens would relax and seek respite from the affairs of the court.
Cultural Exchange: Fatehpur Sikri was known for its diverse cultural influences, and the Panch Mahal stands as a physical embodiment of this syncretism. It reflects Akbar's efforts to create a harmonious blend of Persian, Indian, and Islamic cultures.
Architectural Legacy: The Panch Mahal has inspired architects and historians for centuries. Its unique design continues to be studied and admired as an architectural masterpiece.
The Panch Mahal at Fatehpur Sikri is a mesmerizing architectural marvel that transcends time. Its perfect symmetry, open design, and cultural significance make it a symbol of Mughal grandeur and innovation. Visiting this historic site not only offers a glimpse into India's rich past but also allows us to appreciate the genius of the Mughal architects who created this extraordinary structure. It stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the Mughal Empire and is a must-see destination for anyone with an appreciation for history and architecture.

The place has magnificent architecture and was the primary residence of Mughal emperor Akbar and his queens. The red sandstone found at Fatehpur Sikri was used to construct Mehman Khana and Mosque adjoining the Taj Mahal. Must combine this with a trip to Agra city. Fatehpur Sikri is also famous for tomb of Salim Chishti (Akbar's son) named after a sufi saint.

Panch mahal is a unique building with 5 floors including the ground floor. The base is bigger and with each floor the building gets narrower with the top floor having only one open room with arched dome. It's one unique building built of red sandstone which was locally available.

Gwalior Fort, also known as the 'pearl' of Indian hill forts, has a rich history dating back to 727 CE. The fortification spans across a 3km-long plateau overlooking Gwalior and is impossible to miss. It boasts an array of captivating palaces, temples, museums and other structures.
A beautifully located fort with rich stone carved works and multiple museums and temples. I visited during early morning hours and the place was swamped with people on their morning walks and workout routines. It was a very pleasant experience to visit it at an early hour however I couldn't visit the museums because they open up after 9.30-10 AM. It is a very nice place for family outings especially with children.
The view of the entire Gwalior city from the top of the fort is just mesmerizing.

Without a doubt my only reason for visiting Gwalior was the Gwalior Fort and it proved to be one of the best decisions. It's rich in culture, history and the fort itself is a sheer beauty to the eyes. Carry lots of water and wear sunscreen, if possible travel in winters rather than summers. In the evening it's an experience all together. A must visit in your Gwalior itinerary.

An amazing experience, a must visit place if you like sculptures and history. A place Ted Mosby and Ross Geller would approve as it is a mix of architecture brilliance and Archeology. It's better to get a guide if you want to know the relevance of each room and Mahal. Unfortunately I didn't take one and my target was to explore the full place. I suggest you to take one full day to explore this place, reach the fort by 8:30 in the morning and climb up. Once you finish the fort, you can visit the Temples nearby Sas Bahu and Teli temple. Both stand tall for the architectural brilliance. The only reason am not giving a 5 star for this place is because it is not maintained well, they could have helped people visiting the place much better. I don't know why they don't get the importance of tourism. People writing their names on the wall ( the wall that stood against many invasion), throwing rubbish here and there and very badly maintained ponds take away that perfect experience of the place. Don't forget to see the oldest zero mentioned in script at this place in chaturbhuj temple.

The Gwalior fort I must say I am overwhelmed and stunned by the beauty of this beautiful place. My recent visit to Gwalior would always be memorable because of this unimaginable visit to fort. I would say you can’t get enough of this place once you would reach there. This place is actually the crown of this beautiful city. I still don’t understand why this place is so underrated. So you can visit this place by your own vehicle which is allowed till the top and autos or other public transport is allowed only till main entrance. If you love tracking and exploring places please chose to track till top I must say you won’t regret it. Start early in the morning and have snacks and eatables to enjoy your day. The tickets are too nominal like 10 and 25 rs once you reach on the top you would get a breathtaking view of the whole city. One can even plan their pre wedding shoots to this place. I was stunned to see the architect and engineering used. The historical background of this place is really vast. There were multiple rulers who ruled this place. And one can have a good taste of rich cultural and historical heritage.

It represents a stunning display of architectural mastery that has stood the test of time.
The Kandariya Mahadev Temple is one of the 22 Hindu and Jain temples constructed by the Chandella rulers between 950 A.D. and 1050 A.D. It is located in Khajuraho, India and is considered the most impressive example of Chandela architecture. The temple measures 30.5m in length and features an astounding collection of sculptures depicting female beauty and acrobatics, with a total of 872 statues, some standing almost a meter tall.
The temple is built around an area of 6,500 square feet and has a height of about 117 feet measured from ground. All the temples including the Kandariya Mahadev faces the East, the exceptional being Chaturbhuja. The Kandariya Mahadev tempels has been built upon, adhishsthana which is a raised platform and which can be reached using a vertical steps. Inside the temple, the whole lot of chambers are connected to each other in a well organized fashion. There is a rectangular hall at the entrance called as ardhamandapa and which leads to a central pillared hall called Mandapa which in turn leads to the Garbhagrha, the darkest sanctuary. Above the Garbhagrha is the main spire. There is a Linga or the devotional marble image of Lord Shiva inside the sanctuary. The decorative artistic designs and the architecture throughout the building have been showcased in a certain Hindu iconographic pattern. Both on the exterior and interior of the temple walls, the pillars and the ceilings has the depiction of the four basic pursuits of life; Moksha, Kama, Dharma and Artha.

Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, India
The Kandariya Mahadeva temple was built during the reign of Vidyadhara (r. c. 1003-1035 CE). At various periods of the reign of this dynasty many famous temples dedicated to Vishnu, Shiva, Surya, Shakti of the Hindu religion and also for the Thirthankaras of Jain religion were built. This is without any doubt the largest and most magnificent temple in Khajuraho. The elegant proportions of this building and its sculptural detailing are the most refined examples of this artistic heritage of central India.
Kandariya Mahadev shares its high platform with the small Mahadev shrine and the medium - sized Devi The Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, 31 metres (102 ft) in height, is in the western complex, which is the largest among the three groups of the Khajuraho complex of temples. This western group of temples, consisting of the Kandariya, Matangeshwara and Vishvanatha temples, is compared to a "cosmic design of a hexagon (a yantra or Cosmo gram)" representing the three forms of Shiva. The temple architecture is an assemblage of porches and towers which terminates in a shikhara or spire, a feature which was common from the 10th century onwards in the temples of Central India.
The temple is founded on a massive plinth of 4 meters (13 ft) height. The temple structure above the plinth is dexterously planned and pleasingly detailed. The superstructure is built in a steep mountain shape or form, symbolic of Mount Meru which is said to be the mythical source of creation of the world. The superstructure has richly decorated roofs which rise in a grand form terminating in the shikara, which has 84 miniature spires. The temple is in layout of 6 square kilometers (2.3 sq. mi), of which 22 are extant including the Kaṇḍāriyā Mahādeva Temple. This temple is characteristically built over a plan of 31 meters (102 ft) in length and 20 metres (66 ft) in width with the main tower soaring to a height of 31 meters (102 ft), and is called the "largest and grandest temple of Khajuraho". A series of steep steps with high rise lead from the ground level to the entrance to the temple. The layout of the temple is a five-part design, a commonality with the Lakshmana and Vishvanatha temples in the Khajuraho complex. Right at the entrance there is torana, a very intricately carved garland which is sculpted from a single stone; such entrances are part of a Hindu wedding procession. The carvings on the entrance gate shows the "tactile quality of the stone and also the character of the symmetrical design" that is on view in the entire temple which has high relief carvings of the figurines. Finely chiseled, the decorative quality of the ornamentation with the sharp inscribed lines has "strong angular forms and brilliant dark-light patterns". The carvings are of circles, undulations giving off spirals or sprays, geometric patterns, masks of lions and other uniform designs which has created a pleasant picture that is unique to this temple, among all others in the complex.

This is a Hindu temple called the Kandariya Mahadeva, the largest and tallest of the surviving temples at the temple site of Khajuraho, in central India. It is dedicated to Shiva, who is represented by the linga in the main shrine known as the womb chamber located at the heart of the building.
Hindu temples are designed along axis points that extend from the heart of the chamber upward through the line of the main tower (shikara) and outward in the cardinal directions. The main deity image is located in the central shrine, and the outside of the shrine and the exterior of the temple are richly decorated with sculptures. In some design schemes, one views the entire range of existence looking upwards from bottom to top, with plant and animal life near the bottom and the gods and semi-divine beings in various sculptural registers extending towards the heavens at the temple’s summit. The steeply rising superstructure, and overall mountainous form of this temple are references to the mythical source of creation, the primordial Mount Meru, around which the world came into being.
The Khajuraho temples sit on very large platforms, and it is thought that originally there may have been a lake here beneath them. An association between temple sites and water is appropriate, as an essential part of Hindu worship is ritual bathing, required by the devout in order to purify themselves before entering the sacred area of the temple.
The majority of Hindu temples in north and central India were built between the Gupta period (roughly 300–700 CE) and the 1100s. The temples at Khajuraho are considered among the highpoints of classical Hindu architecture in the northern (nagara) style . This temple and more than 80 others were built by the Chandella kings, who ruled this area of central India between 950–1050 CE. Some temples, such as those at Khajuraho, survived because they were located in remote locations, removed from the conflict and warfare of political and urban centers. Even today, one must fly to Khajuraho, or take a full-day car ride from any other major city center.
Some of the earliest Hindu temples were carved out of living rock and freestanding stone temples evolved gradually after that. Western-style arches and vaults were never used, but masons carved fine sandstone in numerous pieces, which were then assembled and sometimes pinned together using metal rods.
The Khajuraho temples are famous around the world for their fine statuary, many of which depict loving couples, sometimes in erotic poses. These images were disturbing to early European visitors, and even now confound many viewers. Scholars debate the meaning of these images, offering multiple explanations. One interpretation is that they show tantric ritual symbolism. “Tantric” refers to esoteric texts and techniques used in both Hindu and Buddhist practices that offer a direct path to enlightenment or spiritual release using the body’s natural energies as a starting point. Thus, physical pleasure, and more specifically a controlled experience of physical pleasure, could be a path to spiritual achievement. Such imagery may also challenge to the viewer to move beyond the earthly experience of physical pleasure into higher spiritual goals. The location of these loving couples on the temple walls, between the meeting hall portion of the temple and the inner sanctum, seems critical to their interpretation.
Various esoteric and mainstream texts describe sexual activities and postures, including the comprehensively categorical Kama Sutra. It is likely that these erotic sculptures take such texts as the source of their subject matter. Aesthetically, these sculptures are highly sophisticated, expressing virtuosity in their rendering of human figures, expression and interaction, and an extremely imaginative vision of physical acrobatics.

The architecture, style and beauty of temples in India are celebrated across the world. The extraordinary architecture of these ancient shrines attracts an increasing number of both national and international visitors every year. The origin of temple construction can be traced back to the pre-historic era when the reign of ancient rulers flourished in the country. Building beautiful temples. as we know has a rich heritage of composite culture. It exudes diversity in every nook and corner. It is one of the very few countries in the world that celebrates festivals and worships deities with glory and grandeur. It is only justified for a country that is the center of spirituality in the world to be bejeweled with such beautiful specimens of temple architecture in India.🇮🇳

The sheer scale is awe-inspiring. As you approach the temple, its towering shikhara (spire) pierces the sky, adorned with intricate carvings that seem to whisper tales of a bygone era. The intricately carved figures that line the base set the stage for an encounter with artistic brilliance.
A Journey Through Stone:
Step onto the platform, and you embark on a visual odyssey. Every inch of the temple is adorned with sculptures, depicting gods, goddesses, celestial beings, and mythical creatures. The craftsmanship is unparalleled, each figure imbued with life and emotion. From the playful apsaras (celestial maidens) to the stoic guardians, each carving tells a story, waiting to be unraveled.
Beyond the Carvings:
While the erotic sculptures often grab attention, the temple's true beauty lies in its architectural harmony. The interplay of light and shadow on the carved surfaces, the intricate mandapas (halls), and the soaring shikhara create a sense of awe and wonder. Take a moment to appreciate the symmetry, the intricate details, and the sheer engineering marvel that held this structure together for centuries.
A Spiritual Sanctuary:
Beyond the artistic spectacle, the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple remains a place of devotion. The sanctum sanctorum houses a Shiva linga, and the atmosphere within is serene and calming. Witnessing aarti (offering of light) or simply soaking in the peaceful ambiance adds another dimension to your experience.

The Kandariya Mahadev is the largest and most evolved temple in Khajuraho in terms of the blending of architecture and sculpture, and one of the finest in India. Probably built around 1020, it follows the five-shrine design; and its central shikhara, which towers 102 ft above the platform, is actually made up of 84 subsidiary towers building up in increments. The feeling of ascent is repeated inside, where each succeeding mandapam is a step above the previous one, and the garbha griha is higher still; dedicated to Shiva, this inner sanctum houses a marble linga with a 4-ft circumference. Even the figures on this temple are taller and slimmer than that elsewhere. The rich interior carving includes two beautiful toranas (arched doorways); outside, three bands of sculpture around the sanctum and transept bring to life a whole galaxy of Hindu gods and goddesses, mithunas, celestial handmaidens, and lions.

Marble Rocks in Jabalpur is a such a gem of nature that you will feel inspired. Nestled along the Narmada River, this geological wonder is massive and has a beatiful landscaping. One of the most magical moments was witnessing the Dhuandhar Falls, where the Narmada River plunges dramatically through a narrow gorge. Go only weekday to avoid rush and must go in winters.
The boat ride people may try to scam you but you cant do much as they will not take you further unless you give them additional money. There are kids who will jump from heights for 50 rupees but its really scary and risky.

Beautiful scenery and marvellous Marvel rock. The boating experience is also very memorable and awesome. The boat will cost around ₹50-70 person and the ride will take about an hour. winters are Good time to visit. Overall experience is very good, must visit please.

Stunning natural beauty, one of the unique soft rock formations popularly known as Marble rocks of Narmada. The place close to jabalpur city in a small town, earlier it was surrounded by forest around, but it looks more like a small town with narmada flowing through majestic rocks, one has to experience it closely is possible by boating only (sunrise to little before sunset) do check the timings beforehand. There are limited stay facilities private hotels, the best option is state tourism's Resort right on the edge with a view from the resort. Accomodation is standard not great the property is gone old need to revamp it, although rooms and tents are good with amenities. Inhouse resturant is available with good food options, one can get good stay options of the choice at jabalpur city which is 25 kms away. Highly recommended to explore this amazing natural beauty. Good for families and friends, For senior citizens now they have got lift service by mpt tourism at nominal cost, so now no need to walk through steep steps. Winters are the best time to explore.

If you have to do boating reach panchvati ghat at bheda ghat. You have to go down steps to reach the boating point. The boat ride is approx 30 min and per head basis. Crowd is there so factor in the waiting time. Guide gives you a commentary. It is not factual but really amusing. Don't miss the awesome MPT cafe. It's very clean and serves awesome food.

Excellent natural beauty by white/gray rocks, stones, excellent ambient , and boating experience are v. good. boating is a must when visiting this place.
For these two natural beauties, we have the mighty Narmada River to thank for. The river, as it flows through the landscape, crosses this beautiful marble gorge. The marble here is soft, and the flow of the river has carved out about 8 km of this gorge. This stunning nature’s creation is a photographer’s delight and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Madhya Pradesh.

Dhuandhar Waterfall is a scenic cascade located in India. The waterfall generates a tremendous amount of mist and fog due to its height and force, hence the name "Dhuandhar," meaning smoky cascade. It is situated on the Narmada River, which forms an impressive gorge as it flows through the marble rocks. The surrounding area is picturesque with lush greenery and diverse flora that enhances its natural beauty.
Iconic and so so stunning! Absolutely Magnificent and shouldn't be missed when you're in Bhedaghat. You can easily spend a good amount of time here, try going around 5pm, For the best views and lesser crowds!
Dr. Nivedita Ghosh — Google review
The Dhuandhar Water Fall is Located in Bhedaghat 4-5 Km from Bhopal Road and Around 25 Km From Jabalpur Railway Station towards Bhopal Road.
The word 'Dhuandhar' is derived from two Hindi words - Dhuan (smoke) and Dhar (flow), meaning a waterfall where one can feel a smoky atmosphere (this smoke is formed by water vapour or the smoke cascade).
The Dhuandhar Falls is located on the Narmada River in Bhedaghat and are 30 meters high. The Narmada River, making its way through the world-famous Marble Rocks, narrows down and then plunges into a waterfall known as Dhuandhar. The plunge, which creates a bouncing mass of mist, is so powerful that its roar can be heard from a far distance.

Dhuandhar or Smoke Cascade because dhuan means Smoke, the water falling from 10 m ht forms a mist which gives a effect of smoke emanating from the river bed.
It is a very famous tourist spot in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. The sight is worth visiting. As we approach we find lot of craftsman carving marble objects, idols, statues, etc. and sell them to earn there living. Keeping our age old tradition alive.

Pench Tiger Reserve, nestled in the heart of India, is a mesmerizing destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Spanning over 758 sq km across Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, this reserve is named after the Pench River, which meanders through the park. Inspired by its stunning wilderness, Rudyard Kipling immortalized Pench in 'The Jungle Book', making it a place of global literary significance.
The reserve's biodiversity is its most compelling feature. Home to a significant population of majestic Royal Bengal tigers, Pench offers a high probability of tiger sightings.
Safaris in Pench are well-organized, with knowledgeable guides adding immense value to the wildlife experience. The thrill of encountering a tiger in its natural habitat is unparalleled and the heart of the Pench experience. However, it's not just about tigers; the park's overall ecosystem is a testament to successful conservation efforts. becoz we were not able to view the tigers so closely except Laxmi from far
In summary, Pench Tiger Reserve offers a quintessential Indian wildlife experience. Its rich biodiversity, high chance of tiger sightings, and captivating landscapes make it a standout destination. While there are conservation challenges, the reserve's commitment to protecting its diverse inhabitants is evident, making a visit here both exhilarating and enlightening.

Wonderful experience for kids and adults alike. Had some real good sightings of Tiger, Leopard, Deer, and Birds. The guides were extremely knowledgeable. It does get hot pretty soon though, so make sure you start early, around 5 15 or 5 30 from your resorts. From 6 AM to 9 AM, you should get some real good sightings time. Post that, afternoon safaris will get real hot, but greater chances of really good sightings. April to May is the prime season for sightings as well because the heat makes the animals wander out for water. will definitely come back here next year.

Been here twice. Sightings are good. Plenty of Tigers and leopards around.
All the guides and drivers are good. The forest officials take care of the park well.
The park is not very big compared to some of the other forest reserves in the country but it is nice. Teak trees primarily in the jungle. The safari pathways are well laid out and not very bumpy.
There are a few separate entries to the park but i have always taken the Turia gate entry. The park opens at exact time after proper verification.
It is about one and half hours drive from tbe Nagpur airport with enough stay options available.
Booking your safari in advance is advised.

Most have heard of the park and would have done enough research before visiting . DO NOT come with the expectation of seeing a tiger on safari . That needs a lot of luck . You could see deer . And when they take u to core sector , remember u r only allowed in 15 % or less of the core sector . It's the safari people job to say sighting done yesterday and full chance , but it's all on your luck .

It was a good experience, spotting tigers and a leopard on our initial safari was fortunate. For those less keen on animals, one visit with two safaris should be enough, especially if you're lucky enough to see tigers and leopards.
The experience could have been better further with a wider variety of animals to encounter.

One of the best national parks IMHO ... Multiple gates for safari. One can book stay n safari together. 4 safaris minimum are recommended. Turia gate experience was best. Very punctual, good coordinated execution. Driver n guide are knowledgeable. Chances of spotting a tiger or leopard are high here. Ample birds n other animals can b spotted easily. A good jungle experience I would say.

We planned this as a half day trip from Nagpur. 1.5 hours each way, 1-1.5 hours to visit the fort, temple, Kalidasa memorial etc., and if one wants to make a stop for breakfast/lunch (we stopped at MKHS plaza on the highway) - altogether 5-5.5 hours should be sufficient. A Swift Dzire rented car charged Rs.3,000.
This was somewhat a hurriedly planned trip, and hence, did not have the opportunity to research. Still, I felt there’s not much information available either on the government tourism websites or open internet. All I got to find out that this houses a place for Agastya-muni ashram, near which Lord Rama with his family came and stayed for some time during their exile. The present day temple was built by Nagpur’s Maratha ruler Raghuji Bhosale in 18th century… I assumed that the fort was probably built by Marathas also.
I didn’t see any signage of ASI etc, and I hope the fort and temple is preserved, documented from archeological perspective as well, if not already being done.
The fort and temple are easily accessible with not more than 50 steps all combined, I guess. The temples are very we maintained and clean. The view of Ramtek city from the top of the temple walls are breathtaking.
One should be careful about monkeys.
Restrooms are not in best of the shapes, and can certainly be improved for convenience of visitors.
Overall, very good experience as a half-day trip from Nagpur.

This Gadh Mandir is situated at Ram Tekadi ( Ram Hill ) in Ratek.. A very big temple of Lord Ram is here...Its a bhonsle dynasty temple architecture is very big & beautiful...Some renovation work is going on my last visit.. Ram Navami & Tipur Pornima are big festivals are celebrated here You may visit if you want to visit a temple as this is the most famous temple around Nagpur. By road, it takes around 90 mins to reach from Nagpur. After reaching, you may park at the base of the mountain and take the hundreds of steps to the temple, or you may drive to the top and then you would just need to climb around 25 to 30 steps that come after intervals.
The temple compound is clean, but devoid of maintenance. Old structures could have been maintained better.
The temple area is supposed to be full of monkeys, but fortunately we didnt see more than one troupe of 5-6 monkeys. These monkeys are know to snatch things from your hand, hoping to find food. It is advised that you do not carry any purse or mobile phone or any bag while visiting the temple.

Beautiful architecture, clean and maintained. This place can accommodate a lot of devotees simultaneously. On some significant days like Chaturthis, naturally the temple becomes overcrowded, so they have police guiding the public and have proper inspection on the entrance. Although there's a huge parking inside, but you need to park your vehicle outside the temple's premises whenever it's overcrowded, since it would be overwhelming for the police to inspect every vehicle to prevent any mishap.
Besides lord Ganesha there are other idols of lord Shiv, Lakshmi, Hanuman, etc. On the entrance there are shops to buy garlands, flowers, camphor, incense sticks, etc. They have their own packages that would include all of these. The visitors can select accordingly. On the entrance there's a shoe stand, but you need to keep the token safe unless you want to go home barefooted!

Tadoba the place is well known for its tiger reserve. It is home to more than 115 tigers, 151 leopards and more than 300 species of other wildlife. I went with my friends and booked 2 rooms in resort. The staying cost was around 2200 per person just for 1 night inclusive of lunch, snacks, dinner and next day breakfast. We booked buffer safari costing around 5000 and core safari cost more than 9000 depends upon the season and the availability as the waiting time for core safari was more than 2 months. We were lucky enough to saw the tiger. The tiger name is choti Madhu and she is the most beautiful tiger in tadoba as told by safari ranger.

What a beautiful place. This is absolute thrilling experience. It's a dense forest area. Full of Deers, sambars, Peacocks, and offcourse King tiger 🐅. We went for early morning safari in core zone.
Total safari costed us Rs7250. This includes Private Gypsy for 4 hours with capacity of 6 tourist, Driver and Guide charges. Also camera charges. One of the things you should remember that MOBILE PHONES are strictly NOT ALLOWED inside Jungle area. So one compulsory needs to carry Camera for photography.
We explored Jungle. It was very scenic and full of wild creatures. There were many water bodies inside Jungle with crocodiles 🐊.
Finally after long exploration we got our reward. Our guide got information that there is a Tiger spotting in nearby Lake.
So we hurried there. But when we went there tigress was sleeping inside bush. So we along with many other Tourist waited for almost 45 minutes at same spot. Finally the moment came and Tigress gracefully walked out of bush and came out in open water. In few minutes her 8 month old CUBS also came out in playfull mood. That was some experience.
After almost 45 minutes we started our exit journey.
I must say I'll definitely keep coming back to this wild paradise. There are many hotel options around. Also it is recommended to book safari atleast 4 month before your visit.

If you love exploring and experiencing wildlife, this place has to make it to the top of your bucket list. I took four safaris out of which we had a sighting on three of them. While the tiger is the usp, there are many many more animals and birds that you will get to see here. The climate is very very hot and if you really want to enjoy and make the best of your time, it is advisable to wear covered cotton clothing at all times, tied hair and head covered and carrying water bottles is a must

A dense forest reserve located near the chandrapur mines.
You can take your vehicle(4 wheelers only) inside but you are not allowed to step outside your vehicle when you are inside forest parameter and you also can't stop your vehicle anywhere on the road.
Best time is to visit in the evening when animals step outside for a walk.

We got lucky to see 3 tigers in a single morning safari ride. Awesome experience. Few notes for visitors
1. Resorts are expensive
2.Mobiles are not allowed inside the park, so don't forget to bring a DSLR camera or you can rent at the park.

Good experience. Safari is managed well and need to be booked well in advance from official website. Road till core moharli gate is in good condition. Souvenir shops are available where we can get different product including camera on rent.
Mobile phones are not allowed inside.
Best time to visit for sighting is summer.
Ample of stay options available but felt little costly.
Tiger sighting depends on luck but i got to see tigress maya bathing and killing smabar while we were just about to leave

One of the best national parks to spot tigers, we spotted 2 tigers Charger and Heena through the Shreekheda gate. It was mating season and 4 tigers were we easy to spot in that zone.
The charger tiger actually charges towards the gipsys.
Tadoba national park doesn’t allow mobile phones for some reason. Cameras are allowed and even can be rented at the gate.
Prebook the safaris earlier as they get sold out soon.

3 Safaries, 2 Core & 1 Buffer. All of them had Tiger sightings. Other animals such as Sambal Deer, Spotted Deer, Bison, beautiful birds, bear, small Crocs also spotted, unlucky to not see a leopard. The drivers and ranges are skilled and willing to make a memorable experience for the visitors. DSLR easily available on rent at gates, mobiles kept in box in jeep not allowed to use in jungle

A must visit Tiger Reserve.
Forest is very dense and gives you the jungle feel.
Ensure to have 2-3 safaris booked before hand.

First time visited in gurudwara....it was very bad experience takhat gurudwara is very beautiful place but people's who are working there, they don't have manners to talk with people's.
First and last visit in gurudwara was very worst. Main gate working people's are very rude.
I will never ever visit any gurudwara again.

Place is wonderful. I liked it very much. But there are few things which they should improve.
1. We are wearing mask as a safety precaution. But unfortunately, people of this place are forcing us to remove mask.
2. We went to Lunger very 1st time. Thank you for the food they offered. But in the end , women's feeding is roti and daal are forcing us to finish some chutney type daal . We told them that we are not able to finish at the moment but then they are cursing use and using bad words towards us. They literally calling us that we are eating someones part. This kind of behaviour is surprising to us.

Great experience, only thing is gurudwara staff have become rude and arrogant these days!
Been visiting gurudwaras all my life, always felt welcomed but recently all the gurudwara people have changed their behaviour, I wonder why. Saddened by it.
Madhav Mehra — Google review
The gurudwara is so clean! The whole atmosphere is serene and quiet, and quite devotional. Everyone is courteous, and everyone is welcome - as long as you're respectful and not being rowdy.
Two points to remember for the visitors:
1. They don't allow you in with shorts /bermudas. Full, respectable clothing is required, with a covered head.
2. They don't allow masks inside. That was a little concerning, but it's a question of religion, so okay. Nevertheless, ample social distancing was maintained, and top notch cleanliness was seen, so on the whole, we were not very worried about coronavirus, inside.
Good parking space is available, and a whole line of shops for random, spur of the moment shopping.
Absolutely worth visiting, if you're in Nanded.

Takhat Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchal Nagar Sahib is a magnificent Sikh pilgrimage site located in the heart of Nanded, Maharashtra. The site is one of the five takhts (thrones) of the Sikh religion, and is considered to be one of the most sacred places for Sikhs around the world.
As soon as I entered the premises, I was struck by the incredible beauty of the architecture and the peaceful atmosphere that surrounded me. The glistening gold and white exterior of the Takhat was absolutely breathtaking, and the intricate carvings and design details were a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans who created it.
The site is steeped in history and spirituality, and I was moved by the powerful sense of reverence and devotion that permeated the air. The highlight of my visit was the darshan of the holy Guru Granth Sahib, the religious text of the Sikhs, which is housed within the premises.
The staff at Takhat Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchal Nagar Sahib were friendly and welcoming, and were always available to answer any questions I had about the site and its significance. The site also offers various amenities, such as a langar hall where visitors can enjoy a free meal, and a guest house for those who wish to stay overnight.
Overall, my experience at Takhat Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchal Nagar Sahib was truly unforgettable. I would highly recommend this site to anyone who is interested in Sikhism, history, or spirituality. Whether you are a devout Sikh or simply a curious traveler, a visit to Takhat Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchal Nagar Sahib is an absolute must.

Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga is the second Jyotirlinga amongst the 12 throughout India. A beautiful temple and the only Jyotirlinga to have both Lord Shiva and Goddesses Parvati temples.
There are three darshan tickets: Rs.150, 300 & Rs.500 VIP Sparshan darshan where you can touch the lingam (not available always). The free darshan available can take time sometimes but usually it takes around the same time as sheegrah darshan.
Prasadam Laddoos are available at Counter after darshan at Rs. 25 each.
Book your stay prior to the visit as the city is really small and not many places are available. Best places to stay are government accommodations which are basic but decent.

This temple is very old and one of the jyotirlingam out of 12. Temple architecture is superb. This temple was famous at approximately 4th century. Devotees will get peaceful mind while roaming in this temple. Very huge crowd. There are some tickets according to price, free, 150/-Rs, 300/-Rs and VIP 500/-Rs. This is the only temple where we can see sri saila mallikarjuna lingam and brahmarambika Devi sakthi peetam in one temple premises. This temple is under maintained and worshipped by many kings like sathavahanulu, yakshwakulu, Vishnukundinulu, kadambulu, pallavulu, cholulu, rastrakutulu, chanakyalu, kakathiyulu, reddy rajulu, vijayanagara rajulu, maharastrulu. Every devote must be visit Sri sailam pilgrim. There is no hotels near temple. There are many community blocks located here for providing the rooms. Like kapu, reddy, balija etc. After reaching Sri sailam need to go according to the community block. Community is doing very late for allocation of room. Always they say it's full. Time may Take hours, we fed up for rooms, finally we went to sunnipenta village and we took the hotel room. It's 10 kilometres from srisailam Bus stand. Busses available and may be fare is approximately 30/-Rs per person, based on bus type. Really worst management, If first time going really better to understand the situation first, otherwise really they will get struggle. After visiting temple devotees must watch other temples also like sakshi ganapati, hatakeswara devalayam, phaladhara panchadara, ista kameswari alayam, sikareswaram temple, sri bayalu verabadraswamy and many more temples. But local share auto charging 200/-Rs per person to visit these 5 temples, remaining temples are different directions and little far.

Great Ruins of a temple known for creative architecture from past generation.
They have parking available and buggy service available too, buggy is 20rs per head for two way and it will take you near to the main temple. It is fair way for the price.
Entrance ticket is 40rs which can be used for lotus mahal as well. We have purchased our ticked at lotus mahal which have been used for entrance here.
Main attraction was the stone chariot & musical pillars.
The ruins are beautiful architectures , few spots definitely needs restoration in order to save our ancient history.
The musical pillars are currently in renovation which is why entry is not permitted inside but can be seen from out.
Guides are available on site who can guide you with the history.
Definitely a place to visit.

Better to take long buggy car from entrance to temple place if it’s hot not suggestive to walk.

Due to G20 summit venue there were lots of repair works inside and outside under progress ultimately benefiting visitors for easy moving.

Representing the essence of India's tourism, this place stands as one of the finest. Its beauty captivated us. The entrance fee was a mere 35, applicable to various locations, and there were no additional charges for photography.
For a nominal fee of Rs 20, a battery-operated car efficiently transported us from the parking area to the main entrance. Notably, the legendary story of Ramayana unfolds on the walls of this monument, adding a rich cultural dimension.
For those with children, hiring a guide at Rs 2500 for the day is advisable. The guide provides detailed insights, allowing kids to enjoy the stories associated with the monument.
The iconic Stone Chariot, featured on the Rs 50 note, is a central highlight that shouldn't be missed.

We ought to express our gratitude to the brilliant architects and civil engineers of ancient times. This place is a UNESCO-designated masterpiece of destructive beauty. The intricately carved stone sculptures showcase astonishingly minute details, offering a visual feast to all who behold them. The technological marvels, such as the musical pillars and the ingenious provision of natural light, left me utterly clueless about the ideologies behind their creation.
The beautifully carved chariot, adorned with meticulous detailing, has the power to truly captivate the mind and leave it in awe.

There is INR20 cab ride from start point to main temple area. If the weather is good and you can walk, I would advise to do so. Because there are a lot of small ruins in between which you would miss when travelling through buggy. It is sad the buggy do not stop in between to show other amazing stops. Try to make it to the temple early in the morning especially during summer months, not a lot of shade and it gets very hot from noon till 5 pm. There is a 1 km walk from parking, or a shuttle. The shuttle is not sufficient for the crowd, so might end up waiting up to an hour depending on the crowd, one shuttle transports 9 people and they have 3 shuttles running. If you decide to walk, there’s no wait, but not a lot of shade on the path. Would recommend hiring a guide if you are interested in learning the stories carved on the walls and pillars.

So much touched by the ruins of the ancient iconic temple that has amazing stone structures such as the incomparable stone chariot and the fascinating musical pillars. The temple exemplifies the immense creativity and architectural excellence possessed by the sculptors and artisans of the Vijayanagara times.

Famous tourist spot. We visited on 15 January & it was very crowded due to the festival and Sunday.
Parking was 500 meters away from the main entrance, so we had to take an auto from there. After reaching the main entrance, we took a battery operated vehicle to reach the main temple area. Charges were Rs.10 per person. Ticket for the main temple area was Rs.40 per person. A very big area with many temples/ruins. Many guides are available. The famous chariot from the Rs.50 note was the main attraction. In return, again the battery operated vehicle took us back to the main entrance.

Wonderful place....the chariot inside is what u find on the backside of a Rupees 50 note...nice carvings , beautiful architecture...awed at the way such things were done without any modern knowledge and resources expertise..
U have to walk for a km from the parking till the temple or stand in a queue and climb on the battery operated vehicle...ticket fare is 40 per adult...

A mesmerizing journey from Delhi brought me to this enchanting marvel. The temple, a symphony of culture and architecture, truly left me spellbound. And oh, the pillars! Tapping them produced magical musical notes that echoed through history. Don't miss the chance to witness this unique spectacle - grab your ticket and immerse yourself in the grandeur of bygone eras. A must-visit to rediscover the splendor of our incredible history! 🎵🏰

This is one of the temple complexes in Hampi. You can witness the stone chariot and music pillars though you cannot touch the music pillars. You have to walk nearly 1km to reach the complex from the parking area, it is better to use the electric caddy service provided as it will be sunny and hot.

Great Place, amazing architecture, constructed by stone about a 700 years ago. The Stone Chariot is a must see in real. Amazing place to visit for history buffs. I wish the temple was maintained well, no restrooms and the transport is tough but if you get there you will be rewarded highly.

Amazing experience to visit this temple and great experience for the kids as well. There is so much to know and learn about our rich cultural heritage that’s completely missing from the tex books and can’t be covered in school curriculum. Travel to these marvels and architectural masterpieces is the only way to enrich oneself with the vast knowledge and understand the history. Must visit place in Humpi.

The only word that comes to my mind after seeing this structure is Brilliance! What a beautiful piece of artwork- every inch of the masterpiece is so amazingly built that words are not enough to describe it. The setting is superb! The carvings on the pillars are fabulous. Hats of to the artisans who created such a beautiful temple!

Must visit place in Hampi
Ample parking space available
From the parking there is a long walk(around 750 meters) to the actual temple. Its worth the walk if you do not want to miss the old market place ruins and beautiful pond on the way. Battery operated vehicles are also available if there are kids and elders.(Rs 20 per head)There will be some queue , but it moves fast. Once you reach the actual temple a nominal fee of Rs 40 is charged per head.
It is worth taking a guide if you are really interested about the glorious history of the place. You find certified guides around the temple. They charge around 500rs to show the temple around. But knowing the history really adds value to our visit, which otherwise would end up just as a selfie destination.
Saraskanth T.K. — Google review
The majestic temple is an absolute man made marvel. Even in the scorching heat in peak summer, you would still end un enjoying visiting the place. The guides here charge a mere 300 INR but again their commitment to helping you understand the beautiful history of the place is average (value for money).
Ideally you should visit this place either early in the morning or late in the evening to beat the heart and do have a guide to tag along. Don’t walk to the temple, take a e-rickshaw and while returning you can walk if you want.
Chinmoy Mishra — Google review
One of the most popular place in Hampi. The stone chariot printed in the 50rs note is located here. If you are coming by own vehicle you can drive upto the parking and from there we get the buggy vehicle for the 1km distance to the temple or else can walk. If you are visiting Hampi by public transport then the best way to reach here is to walk from Hampi bazaar area which will be a distance of 2.5km. This walk through the beautiful historical remains of Hampi including Achyutaraaya temple & Kings balance is a great experience. The distance to here from Virupaksha temple by road is 8km and autos may charge 300-400rs. You will get autos nearby the parking area. Couldn't find any buses to here.
The place is very beautiful and well maintained. Ticket rate was 40rs and we can use the same ticket for other monuments in Hampi.

Hampi is a place which has a lot of monuments spread across an area of more than few square kilometres.
You will always find a board in all the monuments which states where you are along with a list of more than 60 places to see or visit.
Refer to the pics posted in this review and you can see a lot of the items.
You need to understand that touring hampi is not a days job. It will take 3 days to see all the spectacular sites. It hurts to see so much destruction done by humans in the past. Imagine these over 650 yrs old and still standing. The natural damage is way less than damages done by humans.
Every where you go there will be a cluster of things to see and you can see them one by one.
All maybe listed as different places in maps but you have to understand that they are different architectural marvels but located within the vicinity of a major grand structure.
It’s always good to explore self rather than blindly believing the reviews posted by amateur like us.
Visit HAMPI once in your lifetime for sure.

What a surreal and do one experience visiting this iconic temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
I visited Hampi for 2 nights during my recent solo motorcycle ride to Karnataka and this was one of the most unforgettable highlights of the ride.
I visited this temple very early morning at 6 am while it was still dark and the temple looked absolutely gorgeous shining and shimmering.
I had an absolutely fantastic Darshan of the Garbha Griha and was also fortunate to watch the Mandir Elephant going back to her shed.
I spent almost an hour inside the temple admiring the beautiful architecture of this temple.
Words aren't enough to describe my experience I had here but I still tried.
This just can't be missed.

During our visit, we went to Virupaksha near sunset, and the experience was magical. The place was bathed in golden light, creating a beautiful ambiance. Make sure not to miss Lakshmi, the elephant, inside the Virupaksha temple. She graciously accepts offerings and blesses you, adding a spiritual touch to your visit.
Be aware that you might encounter monkeys, and they can be quite playful, sometimes attempting to snatch your offerings.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort Pampadevi, this is the only temple here that is still used for worship. Parts of the temple pre-date the Vijayanagara empire. The temple, with its nine storied gopuram, towers above the other structures at Hampi. The ceiling of the Ranga Mantapa is beautifully painted with scenes from the epics and Puranas.
Belum Caves, located on the Indian subcontinent, offers a remarkable experience with its vast underground cave system adorned with geological formations and artificial lighting. The site boasts the largest and longest cave system open to the public in India, featuring long passages, galleries and spacious caverns that occasionally contain fresh water. Visitors are advised to bring a torch or headlamp for better visibility as sticky mud may cause footwear loss. Additionally, one should carry water bottles due to stuffiness inside causing excessive sweating.
A very well maintained cave. It has sufficient lighting and oxygen inside and has directions that are clear so that one doesn't get lost inside the cave. Has ventilation ducts at few places to keep the air circulation at a good pace. The place is very neatly maintained and no plastic waste was found inside the cave. The formation of the rocks and everything looks so good and interesting if one is willing to explore and learn more about it. A good place to play scary house with your friends of course :) Important to take water bottles before going in as one would sweat a lot and feel thirsty in their journey. All in all a good place to visit to spend some quality time.

People who love adventures and rock formations, would certainly love to go to this place. Such a natural beauty. The cave is so deep, wide and long. It absolutely amazes you at every part with its deep trenches. There are places within the cave which are so narrow and the rocks are porous as the water keeps dripping through these rocks.
Please make sure to have nice footwear (sandals or gum boots) as you have grip and not hurt your feet. The whole tour would approx take 2 hours. You'll drain all your energy by the time you are back as the terrain is tough, long and, very suffocating. You end up profusely sweating. Carry some energy drinks and food to keep yourself hydrated and keep your energy levels high.
The sad part is about the maintenance by the governments. Though we have blowers and lights inside the cave, most of them are out of order and not functional which makes the journey tiring.

there is a very small waterfall present in the cave. Must visit

Superb experience. The Buddha statue outside the cave is really calming. The walk inside is out of the world. Really scary in few places. Be careful with your footwear as few places the mud is really sticky and many have lost their footwear. Carry a torch or headlamp for better visibility. There are lights inside. Carry a water bottle as it gets stuffy inside and you sweat a lot.

Ancient and undiscovered place. Very magical feeling once you go more and more inside. The air vents were not working at some places. Wearing shoes is advised as the pavement is uneven. Take your own water bottle and don't leave empty bottles. Basic Telugu if you can read it'll be helpful although all the exit are written in English. l

Underground caves miles and miles long !
Amazing shapes and structures formed naturally over thousands of years by erosion, deposition, transfer of minerals by water, etc.
A must-visit place for many reasons, but one is rarity.
To make the best of your visit, be sure to take a very powerful torch because your phone LEDs are insufficient to see the details.
And wear well fitting shoes, because slippers/sandals are very dangerous for the terrain.
Carefully note or photograph every junction you pass, most have no English signs, and you can't phone for help as there is insufficient signal underground.
Not an enjoyable or safe place for naughty children or aged people though.

We traveled to Belum caves on a Saturday afternoon. The place does get a lot of tourists as it was quite busy Saturday.
The ticket is priced at ₹70 adults and ₹50 kids. They were surprisingly only accepting cash payment which is quite inconvenient, they should start card payments/UPI.
The caves are well maintained, have good air ventilation, well placed signs to follow. I wish the AP government authorities would keep dustbins inside the caves as people do carry water bottles and tend to throw them randomly. Do carry water bottles if possible it can can get quite humid and sweaty inside.
Belum caves are 3229m long and are the second largest natural caves in Indian subcontinent. Definitely recommend visiting it.
Improvement-
* Even though it’s mentioned Staircase is damaged people were still climbing on it. Please do fix the staircase as it’s not safe.
*Washrooms are are in a pitiable state! Requesting the authorities to take action and upgrade the facilities.
*Beautification of the overall place can be done too.

* need good restaurants facilities also

Plus points : A magnificent creation of Nature worth visiting . The stalactites , stalagmites, courses and caverns were created over a period of millions of years , by an ancient flow of water through limestone and quartz . This is the second largest subterranean cave system in India .
Depth goes from 80ft to 120 ft . Air vents are provided at regular intervals . Photography is allowed .
Minus points : Being a Protected Monument under care of the State Government , more thought and sensitivity should have gone into its maintenance .
The garish colored lights are an eyesore marring the natural beauty of the rocks . The spiral stairway to get to the low point is shaky . Names of caves and Exit signs are painted directly on cave walls instead of on boards .
Fact file :
Entrance ticket : Rs70 per adult . Carpark :Rs20
Guides ( Telugu,Hindi,English) available .
Kids playground , basic toilets, a snack kiosk in premises .
Recommended : Carry water . As it gets very humid and sweaty inside, carry a hand towel too. Good walking shoes , to walk on uneven surfaces . Visit during cooler hours of the day and in dry , non-rainy season .
Reportedly, crowded on weekends .
Please do not break off stone bits to carry as souvenir . Please do not scribble/ scratch your initials on those ancient rocks . Please don’t litter . It was painful to see some tourists doing such things , during my visit.
Lets learn to respect shared heritages .

An amazing cave experience. Recommend every visitor traveling to city of Kurnool or Nandyal in State of Andhra Pradesh to take some time out and visit Belum Caves.
An advisory would be to carry Torch-light as there are zones which are very dim lit corners. A to Gaurav Buddhas statue adorns at entrance. The Caves are very well planned and our appreciation to the Team behind the concept and execution too.
The overall maintenance of Caves leaves a lot to be desired. A few zones had no AC and the places were hot and perspiring too. There were broken equipments like AC parts and broken light consoles that were lying in open and had not been moved out.

The Lepakshi Nandi temple features a striking granite sculpture of Nandi, the sacred bull of Lord Shiva. It's located two hours from Bangalore and is best visited during the day due to safety concerns at night. The road leading to the temple is well-maintained and free of potholes. Visitors can explore the open park-like setting beyond 6pm but should refrain from climbing on the statue.
Simply awesome...one of the largest monolithic , single stone Nandi in india....this is about 400m from the Lepakshi veerabhadra temple ...it supposedly looks straight at the 7 hooded serpent in the temple who guards the shiv ling...a must visit place just for the magnanimity of the architecture

This is a good place to visit, especially for those from Bangalore since it is hardly 2 hour journey (including traffic/rainy weather). Best way to plan is for a morning to afternoon visit and return before it gets dark. The route is not safe during nights especially when we want to drive a car at high speeds. The roads are well maintained though and we saw almost no potholes along the lepakshi road from the big arc. This bull statue is open beyond 6pm as it is an open place. It feels more like a park and many people were trying to climb it.

The temple is very beautiful. The temple is around 500 years old and is a pure ancient architectural beauty. The place is just 2 hours drive away from Bangalore. We can very well make a one day plan to this place and return by afternoon if we start by morning 8. There is a garuda statue at the entrance. But were not allowed nearby for reasons unknown even after paying them to see the place. The parking and restrooms are pricey. 10 Rs. Just to enter the toilet irrespective of what you do inside. There is enough parking space. Would have been better if the management improve the temple instead of being money minded.

The Lepakshi Nandi, a monolithic bull statue, stands as an iconic symbol of artistic finesse and cultural significance in India. Carved from a single granite rock, it resides in the town of Lepakshi in Andhra Pradesh. This massive sculpture measures about 4.5 meters in height and 8.23 meters in length, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and detailing.
Believed to represent the vehicle (vahana) of Lord Shiva, the Nandi statue is adorned with intricate carvings, displaying various mythological motifs and ornate designs. Its posture exudes a sense of grandeur and devotion, capturing the essence of Hindu mythology.
Legend has it that the statue was constructed during the Vijayanagara Empire's reign in the 16th century. Apart from its religious significance, the Lepakshi Nandi serves as a testament to the architectural brilliance of that era.
Pilgrims, history enthusiasts, and art connoisseurs flock to witness this marvel, appreciating not just its size but also the cultural heritage it embodies. The Lepakshi Nandi remains a revered and awe-inspiring testament to India's rich artistic and religious legacy.

The story behind the temple is fascinating and you can see the footprint left by the goddess - or made by something else… it is beautiful and you could happily spend a couple of hours in the area.

A nice place to start your early morning, ancient history of India to look at. Start early around 5 AM from Bangalore so that you can enjoy morning breeze. Inside temple premises shoes aren't allowed. You can keep it in car itself. Close to temple Nandi and theme park is there. It will be take around 2.5hrs to 3 hrs to see everything.

Majestic !!
One of the biggest nadi statute and this one is quite different one, as we can see face is slightly upwards due to a sense of Maga Shiva linga in front of it.
This is located right next to main road which is goes towards lepakshi town/village and around 300-400 away from the main temple.
Basic amenities are present inside premises like drinking water , restrooms and small green garden and amole seating benches.
People can sit here and enjoy viewing the statue after coming from temple and near by jatayu park.

At a distance of 500 m from Lepakshi Bus Stand and 500 m from Sri Veerabhadra Temple (Lepakshi Temple), Lepakshi Nandi (Bull) is one of the main attractions in Lepakshi and a well-known landmark for the tourism of Lepakshi. It was built during Vijayanagara period when the main Veerabhadra Temple was built.
The Lepakshi Nandi is made out of single granite. The monolithic Nandi sculpture is said to be the second largest monolithic structure in India after Gomateshwara in Shravanabelagola. It is 20 feet in height and 30 feet in length. The Nandi statue is decorated with a necklace, muvvalahara, a bell chain with small horns.
It is noticeable that the head of the bull is held aloft at a higher angle than usual. In addition, the expression of submission, which is typical of Nandi before Shiva, is not seen in the statue here.
This big granite bull is situated on the main road beside AP Tourism Haritha resort. It has been positioned such that it faces the 18 ft Nagalinga in Veerabhadra Temple Complex.

Beautiful temple with awesome architecture. A must visit place. Lepakshi main temple is entirely made of stone which is worth a visit. It has one hanging pillar. All the idols are made of curved stone. But avoid the afternoon time as it is very hot.

Beautiful place. One must visit if you are interested in ancient architectures and sculptures. You'll find good / decent restaurants on highway. But there aren't any good restaurants off the highway. At least I didn't find any.

This old temple is inside a village and a divine representation of Indian culture, religious values and mythological history. A beautiful place to spend a couple of hrs. The stone carved structures and pillars are admirable. The only point of resentment is the paintings on ceilings are being worn out by time which should be preserved and restored. The govt should maintain the temple and cleanliness. It's not that we get to see such valuable pieces of our history often.

Neatly maintained Nandi temple next to the road. A parking facility is available right in front but the reason for existence is not known. Monolithic structure and amazing planning the detail is so clean. Salute the sculptor who enabled carving this out.

Nandi statue It is one of the largest single stone Nandi figure in India and it is said to be that it is largest of its kind in India. It is just 0.5kms from Lepakshi main shrine. Perfect spot for one day trip for Bangaloreans. Summer time is not recommended since it will be too humid.
