(Translated by Google) If you like adventure tourism, this is ideal! We toured the mine outside and inside and there we rappelled down 30 meters to the second level. Our guide a genius, who guided us through the entire tour, gave us an insight into what life was like in the mine and answered all of our questions. Without a doubt, a highly recommended experience. Claustrophobic abstain because there are parts of the mine that you have to drag yourself since you don't enter standing up, especially the first level.

(Translated by Google) Very good experience. The guide explains very well. Follow the guides' van with your own vehicle to the mines. Nothing out of this world, it can be done by car. First you go to a mine that you explore from above and then you go on an excursion to another where you explore the inside with a helmet with a flashlight. It's worth it.

Muy buena experiencia. El guía explica muy bien. Se sigue a la camioneta de los guías con vehículo propio hasta las minas. Nada de otro mundo, se puede hacer en auto. (Translated by Google) It is an unmissable excursion if you are in Uspallata.
You have to book in advance, just sending them a WhatsApp is enough, they tell you the times and prices of the two excursions. You can also stay to eat since they have a grill menu (it must also be included in the reservation since they prepare everything based on who booked).
It all starts from the base where you follow the guide by vehicle to the base of the mines. Then you advance inside the guide's vehicle since it is a complicated road.
You will tour the Jesuit ruins and the guide explains the entire history of the place from the beginning. It is worth highlighting the humor and friendliness that this person handles, which makes the tour more fun and entertaining.
Then with helmets you enter the mine where you walk through the two levels that can be accessed.
It is without a doubt something incredible and unique. You have to bring a coat since it is cold inside.
We stayed to eat the complete barbecue, which is honestly one of the best things we have ever eaten in our lives, grilled over a wood fire with that characteristic homemade taste, fresh vegetables and some grilled potatoes that were a blast.
This trip is worth every penny, and even with food and everything, it is very cheap.

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Landscaped hot springs complex surrounded by mountains, with several pools, a slide & a restaurant.
1000 ARS per person, come in the morning at 10am when they open up before all the tour buses drop the locals and tourists here. Was here on a Thursday morning (around 11am) and there was already 100s of people here. We opted for this termas over the spa (8000 ars /pp) because the views were similar! We didn't worry too much about the people because we planned to leave after 2 hours of bathing.
What's cool here is there are picnic areas, you can bring meats to grill. There's about 4 pools under the tent, 6 pools outside. There are two water slides that bring you to a pool with a big fountain wrapped with a lazy river. And then there's also another 4-6 pools below.
Water ranges between 25-35 degrees Celsius. There's also a cold water plunge.
Apparently they have lockers for rent, but most people just leave their stuff by the pool. Do bring your own bathing suit, bathrobe (bring from your hotel or rent!), Towels, slippers...
If you forget, there are shops selling stuff outside.
If you are hungry, there's also a few restaurants facing right across. The cool thing about this place is you can go in and out of the termas. So if you're hungry, get a bite and go back to the pool.
They having changing rooms, bathrooms - but I didn't see any showers.

Go. Just go. You won't be disappointed. Lots of great places to eat a few steps outside the park.

It is a wonderful place that has to be te though. Remove that 3er world street market full of trash and will be a totally different story.
J M — Google review
We were here in August, it was pretty cold outside. The temperature of the baths inside was okay, but outside was pretty cold. Plus, there were too many people. There is no place to lock your stuff, so you always have to keep a look at your bags to make sure it's not stolen. They need to install lockers at the very least.
Konstantin Mednikov — Google review
Amazing place. Hot springs whit mountains views.
Ezequiel Lucero — Google review
The place is over crowded, no buck for deal. Definitely stay away if you can
Eunice Celeita — Google review
It certainly is true that the place is stunning, however we did not have a nice experience. The thermal pools were completely cluttered: there wasn’t a pool in which I could bath and not be touching someone. Apart from that, the whole place was overcrowded. The bathrooms, extra pools, etc. I think that the even worst part of this experience was that the thermal pools were not even hot. They were simply like any other normal pool.
Ema Dithurbide — Google review
The rooms were booked way in advance which meant either going to the water park or not going at all.
Be warned that people get there before the opening time and start getting in line. By 10am the place is quite full. You may rent a bathrobe in case you don't have a towel. The interesting part was purchasing meat cuts and barbecuing it outdoors.
Natalia Kodaratos — Google review
It's not worth the trip.
The advertisement is nicely done to promote a very horrible and overcrowded place. It's literally a pool for families with kids with low safety mesures and definitely NOT a spa.
The water is not just dirty. It's so filthy, and I really do not want to know what's all that white stuff swimming inside of it.
Tony — Google review
Our reservation said with transportation. It wasn’t included. This happened to a line of people who made a reservation. The women organizing buses let other customers on who didn’t have spa package before us, told us this shouldn’t have happened, and then laughed. An Uber was 3700 pesos when the shuttle was 4800 for two people. Should’ve taken an Uber instead of coordinating with rude people.
Alex Kuligowski — Google review
This place is overestimated. I would not recommend going here as even during the weeks day it’s super crowded and does not look appealing to get it in to that water full of people. As well entrance fee is 2000 pesos which is way too much for this place. So think twice before going. And avoid on weekends on holidays.
Mountain recreation area with a cable car, ski runs & trekking routes across Andean peaks & ridges.
It's not so much the destination as the journey through the most spectacular mountain landscape with it's infinite array of forms and colors.
Kieran Maule — Google review
This is a ghost place, there use to be a Ski resort nearby but it is closed (permanently)
So this place is the corpse of something that used to be a chill place some time ago.
There is nothing to buy anything, even getting a meal is hard work in the area.
I guess locals are trying their best to keep this place alive, but it is like having a stuffed pet because once you loved it

Bodega Andeluna
Winery
Restaurant
Winery offering cooking classes, meal pairings & tastings within view of surrounding peaks.
We had an early morning wine tasting at Andeluna and it was lovely. Their Blanc de Franc was our favourite, and the property is just gorgeous on a sunny day.

A nice experience touring the winery while tasting the wines. Super friendly staff, and of course great views of the Mountains.

Lovely place for a chilled wine and good food with an unsurpassable view of the Cordillera and its monstrous mountains.
Great friendly service and an amazing dessert to finish off the experience!

Lovely setting for an outdoor meal with wine tasting - close the vines with beautiful mountain views. The 4 course lunch was quite generous and delicious and the Chardonnay to accompany it was lovely but not outstanding. The service could have been a bit more attentive and informative.

This was my visit to Mendoza and Andeluna was incredible! My boyfriend and I booked the lunch and wine pairing. 6 delicious courses and wines were all very good. This is great for groups or couples! The winery is so beautiful on the inside and out. Very friendly staff and service.
Megan Glynn — Google review
Nice bodega in the heart of the Uco Valley. We booked a tour and subsequent lunch in the restaurant. The tour was good, although it was on a very high level. It was more about the bodega and the process of winemaking instead of the wine itself. The lunch was very good as well. We had the three courses menu with typical Argentinean dishes
Henrik — Google review
I fell in love with Andeluna, its spirit, wines and new concepts!
I had the opportunity to experience The Blend Game where I have created my own wine and "Tardecitas" with a delicious menu and pairing. I've had an amazing time. The location takes you to another dimension, it's just a matter of sitting in the gallery holding a glass of wine looking at the vineyards with the Andes in the background.
I will be back dear friends! Thank you!

Swanky place with wonderful staff. We had the four course tasting and the experience was a blast. I can’t wait to comeback and hang out a bit longer in this gorgeous place. The views are breathtaking 🤩

We had a beautiful afternoon and evening watching the sun set over beautiful grape vines and mountains while we relaxed and enjoyed a steady stream of special treats - empanadas, cheeses, sandwiches, and finally flan - which magically appeared between our wanderings in the orchards. Our guide was kind, knowledgeable, and very relaxed as she taught us about the extensive wine making process at Andaluna. Truly magical

Visited this bodega today, in my opinion there’s better wines in this region to be completely honest…however, the tour was excellent and the views are absolutely incredible which make this place worth visiting when in the Uco Valley region
A. Peter Kastin — Google review
The views here are incredible and from a beauty standpoint, Andeluna is top notch. That being said, the food quality for the wine tasting lunch is far inferior to that of other wineries in the Mendoza area.
David Pakman — Google review
Lovely winery - would recommend for seeing a great “midsize” bodega. The seating and restaurant area have a wonderful view of the vineyards & huge Andes mountains. We had a 10am tour & enjoyed a cup of coffee on the couches when we arrived early. Informative tour with great English & tasty wine!
One of the best quality/ price ratio wine yard we visited. So much good food, such a nice and chill place to eat!
Very Argentinean in its core. Definitely a must go if you want to try out a small, family friendly place without loosing food and wine quality.
Bianca Ritorto — Google review
Excellent food, service & staff, with lots of atmosphere. You can ‘dine in’ or in a couple of patio’s. A great place to dine. They provide entertainment although I most dearly would have preferred traditional music as opposed to a saxophonist (although many people did like him apparently).
Geoff Lewis — Google review
Would give six stars if possible. What a wonderful experience! Definitely make a reservation for lunch with the wine pairing. So good. Friendly family owned unpretentious bodega with amazing views of the Andes. Well worth the drive!
Danny — Google review
We absolutely loved our lunch today. The atmosphere is more laid back than other vineyards we have visited. They just leave the bottles on the table for you to help yourself, which we enjoyed very much. The food was divine. I had the pork belly and my wife had the pork shoulder. Both were terrific. And all 3 of the starters were delicious as well.
It is a great value as well. We paid more than twice as much for the tasting menu lunch at another nearby vineyard this week and Bodega La Azul was as good if not better.
Highly recommend this place.
Gary Dresser — Google review
We enjoyed a great afternoon at La Azul! Be prepared to be stuffed on food and wine. A great stop in the valley - my husband's regret was that he was driving and couldn't drink much. Get a driver and enjoy the long lunch there. The food and wine were well done.
Kelsey Giroux — Google review
The 5 course meal and the unlimited wine was perfect in such a beautiful winery, small and cozy!! Our waiter Nicolas was excellent!
Marisol Navarro — Google review
It was so, so good! Our pourer for our tasting (I can't remember his name) was so knowledgeable and had the perfect demeanor. The wines were all very good. Even though La Azul appears like a big party, the staff is very professional. It is definitely worth the visit if you are looking for something a bit more loose and carefree.
Lance Brown — Google review
One of our top lunch experience during our trip. If you don’t have a great time your doing something wrong. All of our dishes were incredibly delicious. The service was spot on perfect. After a day of tasting Big jammy Malbecs the unoaked & slightly oaked wines served with lunch were a perfect paring
Robert Alexander — Google review
My wife and I had the 5 course lunch here, and we really enjoyed the experience. It was especially fun because we dined a few hours before the Argentina and Croatia World Cup futbol match, so the entire staff was hyped up and in a party mood. The food was flavorful, the staff was knowledgeable, and the wine was unlimited. Yes, the WINE WAS UNLIMITED. The ribeye was really good, as were the appetizers and desserts. You will definitely leave with your belly full, and satisfied. And it was all reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
Marco Howell — Google review
La Azul is a great place. The 5 course tasting menu was amazing and definitely worth it. The staff was kind and the energy of La Azul was uplifting.
With the 5 course tasting, the main course could be drastically reduced. So much of it went to waste and we all agreed the entree could have been cut in half and still been plenty of food.
The wine tasting was casual, it felt a bit more or just table wine with lunch but still very enjoyable
Sara Sowsian — Google review
Excellent food (option of 5 or 3 course menu), endless (good!) wine, outstanding staff. One of the best lunch/tasting experiences I’ve had. Be sure to make a reservation… they’re busy during lunch hour.
T. M. — Google review
Easily the highlight of Mendoza and its Uco Valley wine region. You would be foolish to come to Mendoza and not visit La Azul for at least a few hours. The setting, staff, food and wine were all top-notch.
First and foremost, a lot of vineyards in the Uco Valley are very fancy, sharp -- all in a very modern art style. We visited a number of them. And that's nice, and the wine is always at least good. But La Azul is much more relaxed, fun and colorful, and the experience there is centered around the restaurant.
Get a reservation for lunch no later than 2:30. We did the five-course lunch, and every course was amazing and worth it. The wood-fired oven bread bites were dangerously good and unlimited. So was the wine (truly, unlimited with the meal!!). You try five with lunch. I wondered if the wine here would be good, and absolutely, it was as great as the food! They don't have 30 different bottles and varieties like some places, but what they had was great and worth buying to bring back (the Gran Reserva Malbec in particular). They still have a dozen varieties.
The dining area had a live sax player and occasionally got everyone clapping and cheering along. It was truly an entertaining atmosphere.
The production tour is simple but great, especially letting us test a wine right out of the barrel (still had months to go); no other place did that.
There is a lot of seating outdoors to relax, enjoy and digest. The staff were the friendliest on our whole trip (having a cute 9-month-old maybe helped).
So, go here, get a reservation, be ready to eat, enjoy the outdoors around the property and spend up to a half day here. The location is great, too, as there are other vineyards of all types around, from the very formal Salentein (has an art museum worth a stroll) to the more rustic Domaine Bousquet (also amazing wine/food).
Spencer Perkins — Google review
One of the most delightful afternoons I have ever had! This place is a gem, no matter who you are or where you’re from. The staff is amazing and has a great, welcoming, hospitable energy. The atmosphere is cozy. The wine is delicious and the food will have you making yummy noises with every bite. And the sax player they had entertaining was awesome! Honestly cant think of a single thing i would change about this perfect little spot! An absolute ‘must do’ when in Mendoza!

Espacio Salentein is a modern winery located in the UCO Valley, surrounded by stunning views of mountains and vineyards. The building itself is made of cast concrete and offers a unique setting for wine enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy an exquisite menu paired with fine wines while taking in the beautiful Andes scenery. The venue also hosts art events, musical shows, and even serves as a destination wedding location.
Great place but make sure you reserve first or else you're stuck with just walking the grounds.
Amazing menu, it's an experience for the senses. Great food, wine acompanied by a beautiful view of the Andes, there's nothing like it.
If you smoke, you can step out onto the porch and sit in the sofas-enjoy an incredible view, don't forget your wine glass.
Great service and I recommend buying their wine glasses at the gift shop and the olive oil. 🫒

We arrived there just on time for lunch.
We were on one of the first tables to be seated. After choosing our menu and getting our first plate we realized that all the other tables had gotten some bread with some type of sauce. They forgot about us and totally pretended not to see that (even when they came to take the plates). The food is really good! But nothing special at all. I’d expect something more elaborated for this price (10,500.00 per person). The second thing that got me intrigued is that there was a street dog roaming around the restaurant and the waiters pretended that it was something normal. The dog was full of fleas and totally not taken care of. None of the waiters took the dog away (you would expect a high level restaurant not to have street animals roaming between the tables). At some point the dog even jumped on my GF and got her blouse mud dirty. The third and last thing was that there was SO MUCH trash on the grass. Pieced of paper, plastic, cigarettes. It seems like no one has ever cleaned that up. In the end, I’d recommend you to take the tour but eat somewhere else (maybe even better for that price tag). I didn’t enjoy it at all.

Great experience. Interesting tour with unique elements to this winery and cellar. Nice wines. Beautiful setting. Friendly duck that roams the grounds.

My wife and I had a fabulous time on a private tour at Bodega Salentein. Our tour guide, Marcelo, made the experience memorable with his passionate and knowledgeable presentation, and we felt so very welcomed. The six wines we tried were all excellent and each at the top of its class. Our favorite was the Numina Gran Corte, which is a blend of malbec, cabernet, merlot, cab franc, and petit verdot. The Primus malbec 2015 was excellent as well. The tour normally takes 1.5 hours but we got along so well with Marcelo, it was well over 2 hours and we were still in tasting room when Marcelo finally was asked to move on. Just to demonstrate the tremendous hospitality this Bodega shows its visitors. Would love to re-visit next time we're in Mendoza.

A classic views in the UCO Valley surrounded by mountains and vineyards. The views change as the day goes by making one of a kind sunset. Great destination wedding place, tons of art events and musical shows. This place is definitely worth to visit if you hard going near by.

This is an amazing place to visit.
It is a lake filled by a glacier from high up in the Andes.
There is evidence of global warming and climate change. The peaks of the Andes used to have snow and glaciers on the upper reaches all of the year round. Now, these melt away during the summer months.
Nevertheless, the lake was still relatively full when we visited there in March 2023. Down at the beach end it was about 300 metres away from where it needs to be.
The lake is one of the main reservoirs for Santiago City itself.
The road in the upper reaches is narrow and disty. Keep the windows up and the air con on.
Lorries are continually driving up and down this road, to and from a quarry. In busy periods you will have to wait you turn before going ahead, or, suffer a hair raising passing exercise with wheels hanging over the edge of the road.
Be aware that some drivers refuse to wait their turn and they will still come along the road forcing you into this dangerous move.
The best times are during the week and outside of the holiday period. Weekends get very busy and the road is often packed to bursting with drivers struggling to pass one another.
People will also just stop, on the road, to take a photograph where there is zero room to pass.
Quieter times, during the week, makes it far easier to navigate along the narrow road.
Toilet is basic to non existent. Porta loos are there more times than not, but, they are not a permanent fixture.
Coming down at night is an experience. If you are a nervous driver leave plenty of time for the descent in daylight hours.
The views are worth the effort and drive. They are fantastic.
There is nothing else here, but, the views. No Cafe, drinks station etc... just a glacier filled lake. if nature is not your thing, give it a miss. If you like panoramic inspiring views, then make this one a priority.
Arwyn Bailey — Google review
Beautiful reservoir in Cajon del Maipo park, it is a big tourist stop so lots of other people but still very nice and with a visit!
Dave Ross — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous though the road is quite treacherous - it's mostly one lane with traffic in both directions and a steep drop off to the water on one side. Drive is not for the faint of heart.
Emily Johnson — Google review
Amazing dam and water reservoir. Be careful if you drive yourself as the road is windy, narrow and becomes a dirt road after a while. Bathrooms (port-a-john) at top.
Maika Heffernan — Google review
Amazing location with breathtaking scenery all around. At the end of the dam, there is a small coastline where you can hang around, take pictures, camp, or just take in the view.
To get to the end of the dam however, you need to drive through a very narrow dirt road, with a huge drop at the water side.
At some points it is just wide enough for one car, so drive carefully.
If you're going to the hot springs, it is absolutely worth it to make a stop and admire the beauty of this place.
Victor Baptistella — Google review
Wonderful place! It's different in summer and winter and on both seasons the view is amazing. It's really close to Santiago and on summer you can go just by yourself. Rent a car and take your time there, guided tours will be expensive and you'll leave the place still wanting to stay a little longer. On winter though maybe a guided tour would be safer but on summer, go by yourself on a rented car!
Josimar Ambrosio — Google review
Visited this wonderful location twice whilst on a trips to Santiago. We went both times with a great company called Ski total and arrived at the location after approx 2hr drive out of the city.
The scenery is truly breathtaking and stunning with plenty of wonderful photo opportunities. There is a mobile refreshment van a short walk away if your feeling a bit peckish and a picnic area with toilets a short 10 min drive away.
It really is a must visit location if visiting Santiago.
Melly J (Mellyj) — Google review
We went there on a summer weekday, it was amazing beautiful place to visit. There were some people but not enough to enjoy quietly. Amazing but the narrow road is scary.
S. Ivy — Google review
Wonderful place. We did some hike to get a better view. Check out my fotos!
The last kilometres of the street is sandy and sometimes you cross the water which is coming over the street. Also big trucks going the way up and down on the small street. They also blow the sand from the ground up so that a lot of dust is in the air.
With a motorbike or a normal car it's no problem.

Sky Costanera is a tourist attraction located on the top of one of the tallest skyscrapers in Santiago, Chile. The elevator takes you to an observation deck where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city from 360 degrees.
Great view of the entire city and the Andes at the top of the tallest building in South America! It was cheap and well done. If you go to the very top floor, it is actually open at the top and you can feel the breeze... it was pretty cool to literally be standing at the top! Go 30 mins before sunset so you get to see it in sunlight and dusk. Very cool, don't skip this!
Dave Schram — Google review
You can hardly feel the lift going up, and yet it's so fast! The views are spectacular. Well worth the visit.
On the way down, you exit on a different floor than you entered, so you have a chance to have an official photo, buy souvenirs, and explore the big shopping mall attached to the Costanera.
Danijela Schubert — Google review
It's definitely a must-go attraction in Santiago. You get to know the city from above before actually going to the places of interest, and the guided tour tells some interesting facts about the region's history. Look for the weekdays when there is live music and wine tasting at the top floor. The guide mentioned it, but we visited the place on the wrong day :-(
Another tip: if the weather is good, go at the end of the afternoon to see the sunset (and you may also get a glimpse of the city lights at night).
The ticket could be a little less expensive, though.
Fabio M. Costa — Google review
Tallest building in South America with stunning city views that spreads out from the foothills of Andes. Sunsets are a popular time to visit. If you want less crowd go during the noon. Also, it’s cheaper to visit during the weekdays. The building has a cafe on the 61st floor where you can relax and enjoy a cup of your choice with the stunning views of the landscape.

Amazing views of the cityscape of Santiago. Walk through the mall on the lower level to get to the entrance (didn’t initially see any signs until inside the mall). Very small queue and possible to buy tickets there. The views were great and good to time for sunset. The restaurant food was average with good cocktails but fairly pricey.

One of the highest buildings in Latin America. If you go to Santiago, it is a nice place to visit. From the top of the building, you can have a 360º view of Santiago
Good location, at the main road

The tallest man built structure in all of Latin America... What else needs to be said. This tower is massive and impressive. It's clean lines and simple design is stunning. The experience is equally clean, efficient, and well maintained. The shopping center at the base will give you an entire day of things to do and the tower itself is a peaceful and lofty experience.
Andrew Sprich — Google review
Sky Costanera can be seen from miles and when you are on the top at the observation platform, you can see for miles. The views are fantastic, especially of the mountains. From here you can get a really good feel for the city and its sheer size. I love tall buildings and taking pictures from the top. This is one of the best ones so far as the scenery is so amazing.
If you are going to Santiago, this is one thing you should do. The area is also a really nice area to stay. The tower is linked to a shopping mall. We stayed in the Hilton DoubleTree in the tower’s shadow, so it was an easy walk for the mall and tower.
You can see 360 deg from the top and as its on a hill, the aspect is even more pronounced, giving amazing views. If there was one issue, they need to clean the windows a bit more often, as it was hard to find completely clean spots to take pictures.
Definitely worth a visit.
Andy Smith — Google review
I was on the fence on visiting because I had gone to other spots around Santiago and thought I had seen some amazing views, however the views from Sky Costanera was something else. It was beautiful to see the city, surrounded by the Andes from such a height. I had to sit down for a while and take in the beauty of the city and scenery. Worth the money to visit!
Nika Daryooni — Google review
Definitely recommend trying to go here. It’s located inside a mall. You go purchase the tickets on the lower level and then enter the elevators to access the top. You can walk around the enter top floor. There is another escalator that you can access an open sky space. It was a little cloudy the day we went and was warned that the visibility was low. We went up anyways because it was the only day we could go. There is a small bar restaurant at the top you can have a drink of coffee and hang out. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Sky Costanera, also known as Gran Torre Santiago, is one of the tallest buildings around the world at a height of 984 feet and gives you a magnificent, panoramic view of Santiago.
The place has an elevator which takes you at the staggering height to see Santiago change its colors as the day progresses. The evening sights from here are the highlights when the whole city glitters with its vibrant lights and if you love places which take you away from the Earth, this place is an absolute must-see!

It was amazing view for us. We visited there week day late noon from before sunset to almost close hour.
We could see Santiago city and Andes mountain from higher place.
They had a bar where we could drink alcohol and snacks. We recommend to visit there before sunset and stay there until you can see night view.
You can but the ticket on the -1 floor at Costanera Center.

The observation deck was awesome. We spent two hours gazing across the panoramic views of Santiago and the Andes Mountains. The Sky Bar cafe offers small bites, coffee, and adult beverages, and the staff is very nice. If you visit, make sure to go to the Open Sky level above the main observation deck so you can feel the breeze!

It is a cheesy thing to do, but heck, which touristy thing isn’t cheesy? It is the tallest building in Latin America, so just for that, it is worth it to visit and see the view. You can't bypass paying for admission by going up to the bar. We got our tickets and snagged a table by the window to enjoy the sunset.

There are 2 levels, one is inside and one is with open roof and if you want to stop for some drinks and snacks and appreciate the view they have one small cafe

It is definitely a must for every foreigner going to Santiago. I recommend to purchase tickets in advance so that you don't get to do the half hour or more line to purchase them on site.
Also I recommend to go on the sunset hours, a very nice experience to see the city.
David Bolivar — Google review
Very nice experience. It’s easy to get there by subway and it is conveniently located inside a shopping mall. Found it a bit expensive for the experience but the views are actually so cool. Seeing the city from above surrounded by the Andes is truly incredible. By sunset it gets very packed around the window but found the lower floor a bit less full when watching the sunset.
Other than that, I really enjoyed the experience and liked going up, however, if you’re on a budget/don’t have much time in the city, you can get pretty amazing views from going up cerro cristobal and walking around, especially if you take both the elevator and cable car. You’ll see the city from above and the Andes but paying way less.

It is the best 360 view of Santiago. Watching the sunset from there is a must-see.

I bought a ticket at 8pm ticket in advance but it was a bit confusing to find the entrance. Also it was confusing as there was only one line to the ticket office so even if you have the ticket you still had to line up. Anyway it wasn't busy and it was the perfect time to see the sunset. The bar on the top had a nice selection of cocktails and service was great.

This is at the top of the tallest building in South America, with 62 stories high and a absolutely phenomenall view point from several of the top floors- also binoculars are located around the floor offering views of the snow capped mountains to one side, and the valley on the other. Champagne 🍾 is provided free of charge- was on Friday night and there's plenty of people out who took the opportunity to view the sunset. There's a super fast elevator which takes approximately 1min to get to the top, your ears will pop along the way. Price of entry is 16000 pesos which is reasonable. There's a shopping centre located on the bottom 6 floors with plenty to keep you busy.Highly recommended for anyone who is in Santiago to visit, as it's close to shops and hotels.

A 5-star review for Costanera Center in Santiago, Chile:
The Costanera Center is an awe-inspiring architectural marvel that offers an unparalleled experience in Santiago. As the tallest building in the city at a towering 300 meters, it provides a bird's-eye view of the entire metropolis that is truly breathtaking. The panoramic vistas from this height are simply astonishing, offering a unique perspective on the urban landscape below.
Beyond its impressive height, the Costanera Center boasts a multitude of attractions within. The vast mall inside is a shopper's paradise, offering an extensive range of stores and boutiques to explore. From high-end fashion brands to local artisanal shops, there's something for everyone. Additionally, the presence of a super-sized supermarket is a convenient and welcome addition for visitors.

This mall is located on the first 4 or 5 floors of the Costanera tower, which claims to be the tallest buildung in all of South America. Would like to visit the place again and spend more time there.

If you wish to see Santiago from above, this is the place to visit.
The views are stunning. The guide is excellent and well worth listening to. You will learn a lot from the guide about the tower and its build.
You are free to take photographs and this is also well worth the trip.
On the very top floor you are subject to the elements from above, but, still surrounded by glass.
This is sometimes closed for safety reasons if it is too wet.
You need not be concerned about earth quakes and tremors. The building is designed and built to withstand this to a very high level.
This is a top notch tourist spot and I highly recommend it.

San Cristóbal Hill is a landmark hill in Santiago, Chile that offers amazing city views and is accessible on foot. The peak is also home to a statue of the Virgin Mary and gardens. There's a zoo nearby as well as other attractions.
This is a very beautiful park with fantastic views and it’s really easy to get to. Take the metro line 1 to Baquedano station then walk north about four blocks and you’re there. I took the bus round trip to almost the top (you have to hike the last bit) and then back down. It cost about 3 usd. I didn’t take the cable car because I was scared it would get stuck and I would be trapped but I’m sure the view from the cable cars are way better than from the road. The weird thing was that when I checked my Swatch after exiting the park, it was a couple hours behind. As if it had stopped the whole time I was on the hill. It’s never done that before.

I suggest riding one way with the cable car and the other way with the funicular. You get to experience both, see the views in a different way and their distance- puts you in different parts of the city. The funicular puts you near the Bella Vista neighborhood which has some great eateries and shopping. The experience to get the tickets was confusing, but once I got a hang of what to do- the process was easy. I recommend reserving ahead.

The best attraction in Santiago a clear must visit. The statue of st Mary is at the top at the end of the tram but the best picture spot is actually in the middle stopping point where you can get the postcard picture of the tram and a not too far away view of the sky costenera. Again a must visit!
The museum La Chascona, home to Pablo Neruda’s third wife Matilde Urrutia, is a quirky attraction with vibrant colors and an architecture that mirrors the poet’s individual style. The garden features views over the streets of Santiago, making it a popular spot for visitors to get a glimpse into the Bohemian atmosphere and fashionable restaurants of Bellavista neighborhood.
A very nice house museum. If you are into peeking into amazing peoples houses or Neruda in general this is a must. An audio tour device is available and is included in the price. The house is densely packed with parts of Neruda’s past and life. Like most places it is closed on Mondays.

Tickets were first come, first serve and cost 8000 clp on the day of visit (7 June 2023). You can't take photos in the building, outdoors is fine. Ticket includes an audio guide which is quite informational.
I visited as they opened and a school visit showed up. Appreciated the lady who worked there who kept everyone segregated and moving, but also gave us plenty of time to listen to the guide and have a look at the rooms before letting more people in.

La Chascona is an interesting museum/ memoral to Naruda. On the one hand it's a look into the personal life of the man who was many things including a politician and a writer. On the other hand it's a testimony to how an ardent Communist can profess communal progress while living lavishly in one of three homes.

A very nice house and an interesting story about this great poet.
I think the audio guide is too long for most of the rooms and they should make it possible to sit in the garden so we would get a better Feeling of the place.

Patio Bellavista is a lively and trendy shopping center in Santiago, Chile. It features unique shops and restaurants with patios and cocktail bars, making it a great place to explore on your first night in the city. The mall is located near popular nightlife spots, making it an ideal first stop while adjusting to cultural differences and the local language.
Really cool open food hall, with good restaurants and bars. Very touristic and attracts young crowds, but inviting to all ages. Worth the visit, specially in the evenings with the little lights on. Some people mentioned the neighborhood not being the safest, so it's nice to be attentive while getting there. I went by Uber, so I can't tell. There's a metro station nearby. Inside the place it was completely safe. Walked in the neighborhood the next day during the afternoon after visiting the Cerro San Cristobal park and it was fine.

Really cool open air (hence the name "Patio") collection of bars and restaurant, which would be unfair to call "food court" as each and every one has a distinct personality and they are not fast food chain restaurants. It is a bit pricier than fast food, but also much better quality and service, and the space is really nice. There are also stores, mostly of handicraft, also all independent. Well worth a visit and a stop for a drink, for lunch or for dinner.

Great place to go buy souvenirs. There are jewelery and handicraft shops dotted around the restaurants and the bars. It feels very safe as there are security guards patrolling the entrances so you don't have to worry so much about your valuables.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. This area is a must-see when in the Bellavista area. It has an array of restaurants with different cuisines as well as local shops offering quality Chilean products.
It’s a great place to chill and hang out with friends. I saw both locals and tourists enjoying their day over lunch here.
I grabbed lunch here and enjoyed the seafood. I then went on to shop some Christmas gifts for family - all in one area.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend it for a visit.

Live music and cozy ambience all around makes you feel relaxed and in the mood to wine and dine. Its a tourist hot spot so crowded most of the times. I spent an entire afternoon here and it was well worth it. Enjoyed every bit from the food to the shops to the local culture. Neat and clean open areas with well maintained roof top gardens and public spaces. Tasty food. Reasonable prices. Helpful staff. Overall a memorable experience with my local friends!👌

……….What an awesome-lii kiff neighbor-hood to be casual-lii wondering about and allowing yourself to be overwhelmed by all the different kinds of expressionism. As is almost the order of the day in the whole of Santiago de Chile and its surroundings “GRAFFITI” in the form of drawings or writing’s on the walls and in passages-ways its everywhere even here in this barrio, coupled with street-artist expressing themselves and trying to sell you their own master-pieces, street-vendors selling their different kinds of wares be it cheap souvenirs, beauty products, woolen-scarfs, etc, etc. Beautiful church buildings with its own wall-murals very colourful and pret-tii. Then there are the many modern art galleries in the area where you can just waltz in and browse around and enjoy whether you are an art expert or just a novice. Also to be found around the streets are musician’s playing real instruments and even playing and making good musical sounds on home-made instruments. We even come upon some female belly dancers. The barrio comes high-lii recommended to be visited especial-lii when you are hungry as there are so many different bars, cafes and restaurants to grab a bite from and the best ice cream-parlour is also in the area……………

The food and coffee are very good, but because of the lacking service I have to give it 2 stars.
While I was working in the coffeeshop the waiter came to me and told me that I have to sit outside as I had been working inside for more than 2 hours. I understand that they don't want people to stay inside too long, but when I asked him if I could sit inside longer if I bought more food and a coffee he refused and still told me to sit outside.
This was very strange to me as there were still some unoccupied tables inside.
So, don't come here if you want to work for a long time. They will tell you to leave even when you're a good paying customer.

Santa Lucia Hill is a tall, triangular peak in central Santiago, Chile. The summit of the hill overlooks the city and has been used for strategic purposes since the 16th century. It's also home to a picturesque park with terraces, fountains, and a viewpoint.
A nice place, not too crowded. A oasis in the city with a number of hidden places and awesome views over the city. Loved it!

Public park, safe with good views. We initially had problems finding the entrance, but a homeless man pointed us the right way, which to me says a lot about the area. Apparently this is where Valdivia founded/conquered Santiago five hundred years ago, and the park includes cannons, a fortress, and chapel among other sights.

Beautiful and serene park in the city well worth an hour’s leisure climb/hike. Amazing views at the top but do be very careful and tread carefully on the treacherously narrow steps; breathe-taking delightful corners to be found as you wonder about so it’s a very nice visit not to be missed.

A nice retreat in the city centre with quiet piazzas and lots of twisting paths up the rocks to explore. But it needs some tender loving care to fix the areas closed off as ‘dangerous’, to replace the missing paving stones, reopen the toilets and generally give it a tidy up.

Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral is a neoclassical cathedral in the city of Santiago, Chile. The building was originally constructed in the mid-1700s, but extensive restoration work was done in the 19th century after an earthquake destroyed part of it. Today, the cathedral is popular for religious services and tourists often visit for its stunning architecture.
Gorgeous building on the outside but truly spectacular on the inside. Definitely worth a visit regardless of religion.

Catedral Metropolitana de Santiago is one of the most iconic churches in all of Santiago, in one of the most famous city squares in all of the downtown! It was built several times over the years since 1748, and the cathedral that you see now was built in the early 1800s. It’s one of the biggest cathedrals in South America! It’s absolutely magnificent and very much worth the visit if you’re in the city - it’s free too so you can just walk inside, gaze at all the beautiful architecture and artwork, and then walk out! The square that it is located on has tons of other tourist attractions, shops, restaurants, and much more. It really is one of the best spots in Santiago. So check this place out next time you visit!

This is a free Cathedral to visit and it's a very pretty one. You'll likely find a couple of hundred people inside praying or sitting while enjoying the cooler air the church offers. The artwork and detailing inside is gorgeous. There are a couple of side chapels that are quieter and better for prayer if that's why you're visiting. Otherwise be respectful as this is a popular place to worship.

We were walking around town on New Years Day, and this was one of our stops. It’s in the government district, and the large plaza had a lot of traffic. The cathedral is at the northwest corner of Plaza de Armas in the heart of Santiago. The walking street that runs north from the cathedral also has many local vendors and is a market street. Fascinating to see what types of items are being bought and sold there.

ABOUT AN HOUR’S DRIVE FROM Santiago is the small Chilean town of San José del Maipo, where, if you venture about a mile and a half outside the village, you’ll find to a dark, disused train tunnel that’s become something of a pilgrimage for locals.
The abandoned Tunel del Tinoco tunnels through the mountains along Camino Al Volcán, a remnant from the region’s railways days. Trains ran through the tunnel between 1914 and 1980. Now, it is completely dark, with a strange smell and a chilling past.
No one knows how, but on a July day in 1998, a young man named Guillermo (Willy) Antonio Rojas Reyes died inside the tunnel. Some believe he killed himself after suffering a broken heart. Now, at both the entrance and exit to the tunnel, makeshift shrines have formed to young Willy. Visitors leave gifts of all kinds and whisper wishes and favors into the tunnel, believing his spirit will grant them.
Specifically, you’ll see many blue pinwheels left at the tunnel. One stone, framed by a mosaic, has an inscription that may explain why. It reads: “For us, Willy speaks through the pinwheels. Please do not shut them up. His parents.”

Nice roadside attraction on the way from Santiago to Cajón del Maipo. The estructure itself is interesting, about 500ft long (from one end the other end can almost be seen) and can be traversed either on foot or with a small vehicle (ie, no larger than a medium-sized pickup). If traversing on vehicle, send someone on foot first to the other end so they warn off any vehicle trying to traverse in the reverse direction (otherwise you or it will need to go through a rather difficult and tight rear driving session).

When going back from Embalse el Yeso the tour guide offered to stop at the Tinoco tunnel a place where a guy killed himself because of a broken heart. Viña Concha y Toro is a family-run wine estate with a bar and tourist center offering tours of its cellars and vineyards. This century-old winery has 4,600 square meters of living space where Don Melchor de Concha and his son lived and the 23 hectare park surrounding the mansion. If you haven't yet discovered it, go there!
The best winery experience!
We have been to many tours before around the globe and enjoyed the many wineries out there, but what we experienced today was absolutely great! They are organized, having many tours throughout the day in small groups so you don't feel like you re rushing. Our guide (JC) was the best! Super informative, polite and patient!!! I recommend the wine and cheese tasting after the tour, the sommelier will give you awesome tips about food pairings. Totally worth the trip and the journey from downtown Santiago, which is about 1h from the winery.

I had a lovely afternoon here. I got there by public transport - metro, bus and a 20-min walk, which was a long but interesting trip. Arrived in time to sit in the courtyard drinking wine first. Founded in 1883, Viña Concha y Toro is Latin America’s leading producer and occupies an outstanding position among the world’s most important wine companies, currently exporting to 140 countries worldwide. Uniquely, it owns around 12,000 hectares of prime vineyards in Chile, Argentina and United States. Chile is the oldest wine producing country in the New World. Its multitude of origins, together with exceptional geographical and weather characteristics, enable Chilean grapes to develop in an optimal way, obtaining aromas and flavors that help us to achieve the highest quality in our wines.
The country’s valleys offer an almost infinite variety of topographies, which are determined mainly by their proximity to the Andes Mountains in the east, the Central Valley, or the Pacific Ocean in the west. Viña Concha y Toro has identified and developed wines that are distinctive of their origins in different Chilean valleys, and is always searching for new terroirs capable of faithfully expressing each grape variety.

First off, this place is huge! Various tours to choose from, they are a little confusing on the website knowing what’s included but check out the photo that breaks it down nicely. If it says it’s sold out on the website, I suggest calling, we got in day-of this way. After your tour, you can buy drinks from the wine shop and enjoy it on the grounds. There’s wifi throughout. The tour guide was friendly and easy to understand. You can get an Uber to and from, but be sure to put your pick up spot as the Museo. Although I bit touristy, definitely enjoyed our visit.

WARNING - the wine tour is a bait and switch. It wasn’t actually a wine tour although they did try to serve wine at the end (but only served 2 wines not the 3 promised - and one of them was 120 - one of the cheapest wines in Chile). We weren’t explained how the wine was made. We didn’t even get to see the vineyard. Our guide Victor took us to a garden instead. The garden was beautiful, and the museum is great, but not what we came for. The tour guides have been asking management to update the website to explain what the tour is during COVID but they won’t do it. I’m guessing it’s because they want tourists to keep coming. Literally awful and by far the worst wine tour I have ever experienced.

One of the three best vineyards in Chile. It was really great to visit here. You can try some really delicious wines and walk around the park

We booked a tour and just took our chances with public transportation since we didn't had a car to travel with. To our surpise they had this awesome carriage that takew you from the main entrance (road) to the Visitors center. Tour was great, guide was very knowledgeable. Wine was, well...amazing.

It was my first winery experience. Very glad that we selected a place producing wine for almost 150 years. Good combination of authenticity and technology now, they are producing great amounts of wine every year. Large plantations, historical buildings, all their production system and beautiful gardens really worth to see. Just one thing didn’t meet my expectations, I was expecting to taste Casa Real Reserva Especial 2018 which was chosen among the 100 best cellar selection wines this year. Or at least any wine out of 3 bottles we tried could have been a little bit aged, for 4 or 5 years. 2 of the bottles were 2022, one was 2021 production. One more criticism: they should update transportation info on their website, there is no mb81 bus from las mercedes metro station. We waited more than 30 minutes and people around the metro station said that bus works only two times a day, very rare, not possible to find that bus in each 30min.

I had such an amusing time visiting this wine yard. Our guide Marcos was attentive and kind. The taste of each bottle was such an experience so I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely gorgeous gardens. A charming walk through its views, walking among the trees and getting to know every corner was a beautiful experience, the winery was very well preserved and the tours were very interesting. We had 4 wines.
Paired with cheese and crackers.

Absolutely loved the visit!
Lots of history along with good
wines and good food!
There is a bakery where they serve good pastries and also meals ( you will need after the wine tasting)
Inside, in the same visit you can see the museo andino too

Beautiful grounds and an excellent wine tasting! YMMV as far as how interesting you find the story of the 120 patriots, but it was enjoyable to check out the kitschy display in the basement regardless of how historically accurate it is!

Amazingly beautiful setting at this vineyard, one of the largest in Chile. Our tour showed us the exquisite park and chapel built by the winery's founder, as well as their wine making process. The tasting at the end of the tour was also excellent, with a good selection of wines/snacks, and a nice gift of a cutting board and wine glass.

Stunning gardens and incredible history. The wine is top quality too. Had a cheese pairing and the only thing they could improved is be the quality of the cheeses as they had been sitting out for a while and lacked flavor.

Magical. Loved that they have a very informative museum onsite. Certainly book beforehand.

The Buin Zoo is a well-maintained and diverse zoo with a variety of animals, including African animals. It's located outside of the city, making it a great option for those looking for a wildlife preserve without the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff is friendly and well-trained, making it an enjoyable place to visit.
Excellent theme zoo, you can stay all day. Extensive facilities, entertaining atmosphere and well cared for animals. A jewel to visit with family and children.

Excellent zoo in Santiago, the place was very clean and beautiful, it's not the largest zoo I have been but I really enjoyed my tour despite its size it has a great variety of animals but I am concerned about the little space that the animals have. I really enjoyed the marine show at the zoo, it was very informative and entertaining. I loved it !!

Beatiful place with great access. Mostly wheelchair friendly but can turn quite difficult in some parts. The animals are well taken care of and looked happy and the staff is very nice and helpfull. Its has its own parking lot.

Was pretty good, the weather was so good, and is wonderful, I full recommend for kids, there are so many animals, birds and so many places to stop when you're so tired, there are so many restaurants ( fast food) to eat. There are souvenir's shops and there are an act with marines animals, all was ok and so good.
Luis Garrido — Google review
I was really impressed with the variety of animals, how the zoo was organized by regions of the world, and the quality of the habitats.
Rachelle McCracken — Google review
The zoo has areas that are really well managed, but then also has areas that are really not up to the level of the rest of the zoo. For example, the aquatic zone. It's too hot and it's too small for the amount of people it receives.

Byin Zoo is one of the best parks that you can visit! Staff super friendly! And the scenery and animals are awesome, amazingly well done. The animal's habitats are carefully maintained. The park it is clean and you will have multiple spots for beverage and get something to eat. Just save your time and money and avoid visiting Hakuna Matata restaurant, it is a waste of money, only good thing there is the air conditioning 😉 the park management must work to improve that restaurant, before was really good.

Good selection of animals: lions, jaguar, monkeys, rhinos, giraffes, snakes, birds, etc. Has a tarantula (arthropods) exhibit. Took 2 boys 6 and 12 and both enjoyed the visit. Small enough to do in an afternoon, about 40 exhibits. A few "shows". A bit stinky but maybe expected for a zoo. Visited in late May 2019; weather was cool.
Brian Brooks — Google review
A really great zoo with lots to see! There are snack stands located everywhere if you choose to buy something or you can bring your own snacks/foods. They even offer shows where you get to see some animals up close. I’d totally recommend it!
Kristin Flores — Google review
Zone of African animals is very dirty. Seems that they never clean water for those animals. In general, this zoo is very cool. We took more than 5 hours to see everything)

Huge Casino! Hotel real close. Bunch of restaurants with many options for really good food. Great A/C. Coffee places. Shops. Nice Wine Store. Great impeccable infract structure, with parking. This place is a great alternative to visit when leaving the noisy city of Santiago for a lil bit, or a weekend. Picture shows "Locos" a Chilean Sea Food I have not tried since last century! Fantastic.

If you are a tourist forget about this place. First of all they charge a cover fee wich is not bad, it is not that pricey. But if you are a foreigner, you have to have cash/chilean pesos to pay. No cash, no entrance becase the only way to pay with creditcard is if you are a local. For foreigner they only want cash. It is absurd!

Great venue, medium sized arena for semi-intimate music shows and a fun little boulevard with excellent gastronomic delights, although on the expensive side. Still, highly recommended.

Caution should be exercised as the road leading to Hotel Termas del Sosneado is in poor condition, necessitating a 4x4 vehicle. Furthermore, it is important to note that this establishment has been abandoned and does not offer any accommodations. However, it is an excellent spot for camping, so it would be wise to bring along any necessary supplies. This unique destination comes highly recommended due to its special ambiance and energy, particularly within the surrounding valley.
Highly recommended! Need a 4x4, ideally. Very special place... I recommend driving even further... This whole valley has a very special energy that is hard to define.

I'm writing this review in English as I'm not from Argentina. Most of the people that visit this place are from Argentina.
The springs are great and the pools have different temps. Quite comfortable on a warm day to be there and have a swim. The valley is stunning as are the mountains.
However if you don't have patience for a tough drive, this one is going to be tough if you do not have a great 4x4. Even with a 4x4, parts of the road are slow going due to the size of the rocks in the road.
For comparison, we read and were told a lot about the difficult roads getting to other places like Valley Hermoso near Las Leñas. But after doing the road to Termas Del Sosneado, the Valley Hermoso was quite comfortable!
It took us 2hrs to go from the route 40 in El Sosneado up the valley. The breakdown of the 60km journey that we did a week ago in a Ford Ranger (all unsealed or ripio as the locals call unsealed roads):
- The first 20km we went about 50km per hour and thought we were going to do the whole road easy. The road is quite ok for a 4x4 or 2wd with good clearance
- The 2nd 20km slows right down with the road becoming less maintained and we could go an average of about 30km/h
- The last 20km is not great and slower again, and the final stretch the road was washed away recently I think and there were several makeshift tracks and was hard to choose the easiest.
Pick your weather going there if the vehicle isn't up to it, it would not be a good idea to get caught up the road with heavy rain.

The road to get is difficult but the landscape is very beautiful. It is very sad to reach the hot springs and the hotel and see that they are dirty, destroyed and full of garbage. People go camping or picnicking and leave their waste. A pity to see that such a beautiful place is not minimally well maintained.
Leticia Gasca — Google review
Drive time is for Kamaz Dakar truck. Expect much longer. The springs are enjoyable, particularly with the surrounding views, however, not expect a sauna, they are warm, not hot. Definitely worth going if you can in something more capable than a small rental car.
William Painter — Google review
Beware, the road there is really bad (you will probably need a 4x4). Also, this is an abandoned hotel. Don't expect accommodation. It's great for camping though, just be sure to take with you anything you might need.
