Loved Amontada the beach is beautiful, spacious with warm calm clear waters great to swim and for families with kids. The only negative point that I like to highlight, unfortunately happening in many beaches here is the traffic of cars, trucks, buggy’s and motorbikes is pretty intense and dangerous specially on weekends. Be cautious when walking. They have several pousadas along the beach to stay and many restaurants. Amanda is popular for kitesurfing and windsurfing. The beach is starting to deteriorate due to the fact of high traffic on the sand and the lack of garbage cans.

It's pretty beautiful, like almost all beaches of Ceará, but I really recommend you to search for the Barraca das Ostras (Oysters Shack). There you can eat very cheap oysters and take a boat along the river in the mangrove, so you see a lot of the fauna and flora from the city, pass through the love tunnel, and can see the dunes. Besides that, there is another shack, just after the dunes, following the river, that sells a shells stew, that is the definition of amazing.

Well, it's a tree lying down.
No less. No more.
Bernard Henrissat — Google review
This is one of the last manglar trees in the area. The tree is laying to the side because of the non stop strong winds. That's the reason for the name too. As you approach the tree you'll see a sing stating that it's forbidden to climb the tree. During the few minutes we spent there all of the visitors climbed the tree for their pictures. How silly the human being is, right?
Fernando Javier Menendez — Google review

Pedra Furada is a stunning arch-shaped rock formation located on the beach, offering picturesque photo opportunities with the backdrop of crashing blue waves. Accessible via various paths, including a mix of sand and grass trails, reaching the site involves an approximately one-hour walk with some moderate to steep sections. Visitors can also opt for horse-drawn carriages for transportation. The trek offers breathtaking views along the way, making it a rewarding experience.
July, 2023. We took the public free Jardinera/bus from the parking lot to the front of the hike.
There are multiple paths made of a mix of sand and grass. You can ware flipflops or tennis, but once you get to the beach definitely flipflops. You can also hire a horse/carriage to bring you up.
The walk is about 1 hour and the first 45, min is easy to moderate the last 15 you have a descent with steep steps and loose rock.
I recommend start walking around 4:15 pm and bringing a flashlight for the way back if you don't want to walk in the dark.
There will be a line of people in front of the rock waiting for photos. You could join the queue or position yourself a bit farther and see the whole rock with the sunset.
The experience is worth it, the wiews are incredible.
Moises Gomez — Google review
The most beautiful part is the trekking alongside the beaches through the hills. The rock itself is just a rock with a big hole in the middle.

J?ssica Martins — Google review
A little bit of a walk but it’s good exercise and the view along the way makes every minute of it worth it! Make sure to budget a few extra minutes if you want a picture before the sunset - there’s a bit of a line for the photo.
Jaques Castello — Google review
Beautiful spot for a nice picture... the walking from the village via ocean shore is fantastic, but you really need to time it... otherwise the tide rises and you can get caught up.. it can be dangerous...
Leandro Pacca — Google review
Its an hour walk back and forth with a comfortable pace from the center. I left early in the morning at 06.30 i found this to be very rewarding cos it wasn't hot and there wasn't a lot of people there at that time of the day.
the walk offers you a view of a different kind of vegetation - more green which means you get to see some cows and donkeys on the way. Its a cool tour to do whilst in Jeri
Liesel81 — Google review

The Dune Sunset Jericoacoara tourist attraction is a popular spot for people to take pictures of the sun setting over the ocean. The view from up on the dune is beautiful, but it's not possible to see it from any angle other than straight down. Really a must-see/do event while here. Tatajuba is a beautiful beach that outshines others in the region such as jeri and prea. If you are going to kite there be careful with the tide. The main launching area by the restaurants can be a terrible place at high tide. Be careful with your control bar, if it's in the middle of the road angry/ignorant drivers will ran over your bar.

A bit of a queue to get in. Once in a good choice of eating locations, and no I didn't feed the monkeys though I did see them. The zip line looked a bit scary for me.
Oliver Leedam — Google review
If I could give 0 stars I would. 10R$ entry for a place which isn’t even clean, 10R$ more if you want to use the pool. The restaurant is too expensive and the view is disturbed by people screaming while doing zip lining directly in front of you. Also, the music is way too loud. There’s a paragliding place with a horribly tacky swing. If you want to stay in a tent it’s 60R$ per person and night, and the tents are set on artificial grass! All seems to be set up just for empty headed party people. No space for nature, tranquility, easygoing life.

I encountered a number of negative reviews regarding the slow service at Praia do Atalaia, particularly on busy days when the beach is crowded and there are many tables to attend to. However, overall, they seem to meet expectations by offering good food at a reasonable price. It should be noted that this area is popular among tourists, so it's not expected to be cheap. Additionally, I had the opportunity to experience both low and high seasons at Atalaia Beach before Easter weekend.

We enjoyed having the place to ourselves most of the week and then saw the hordes from Belem arrive late Friday. What had been a mostly empty beach filled with cars, umbrellas, and tables and chairs.

I read a few reviews complaining about the fact that it takes forever to be served. This is true. However, it happens usually during busy days when the the Atalaia beach is packed and they have too many tables to serve. Other than that, they meet the expectations which is to serve good food for a reasonable price–don't expect cheap things around this area since this is a hotspot for tourists.

If you're heading to Atalaia beach and it's crowded, go left to Old Lighthouse Beach. It's not crowded here, with more cars than people. Be cautious of rising tides to avoid being stranded or losing your car. This beach offers a peaceful environment without stress or noise, making it perfect for enjoying the water. However, be prepared as there is no infrastructure available; bring water, snacks, and beverages.
If you’re heading to the Atalaia beach and things are packed there, head to the left and go to Praia do Farol beach. It’s difficult to find big crowds in here—in fact, you’re going to find more cars than people around this area. Beware of the tides and when it’s rising, otherwise you’re going to be stranded or even lose your car.
