The ecological park "Historic Guayaquil Canton Samborondon Park" is a nice place to visit with animals, but it is not well maintained since the previous administration.
Beautiful place to take the family, you can see the local flora and fauna up close as well as the animals, most in replicas of there original habitats, great to go on a weekday as very few people in the park, also the small snack bar next to the water is fantastic, mojitos are excellent!

It used to be an amazing place but they decided to stop charging per entrance, after that "everyone and everything" had the chance to enter...

Really nice place for a weekend stroll. Get to know some of the local fauna, history, and culture (some food too). Fun for the whole family.
Ask for the montubio show, funny stuff.
There is a really fancy restaurant and hotel inside the park. Don't forget to try local sweets and treats.

Nice area, clean and historic feeling. Zoo was cool also.

Amazing park, there is a paid section for $4 but I just stumbled in so I saw the free section. Still lots of amazing things to see, a beautiful walk, with places to eat, toilets, and attractions. Definitely recommend!
Dylan Growcoot — Google review
A must visit for all travelers. It is a small zoo with the most exotic animals and beautiful old trees. The place is in a natural form with a raw wild and enchanting feel. You get to see Iguanas, Parakeets, mountain goat and so many other animals. Old trees with aerial roots all around add to the beauty of the place.
Sujata Sinha — Google review
I was expecting more. It is like a small zoo, but it didn't seem like a good place for the animals. Too small. At the end, the historical buildings look quite nice. For me it was the best area of the park. I wouldn't go there again.
Las Peñas is a historic neighborhood located in Guayaquil, Ecuador's largest city. Nice family place with great sights of guaya river.
Long walk with many options for kids.
A few places to eat food.

This is a neat place to visit. Its free to go in. You pay $1.50 USD per hour to park at the garage. I was impressed how clean they keep this gated park. We did not buy a tour to see this.
Ana Garcia — Google review
This is such a beautiful attraction/area. It's 2.5 km long and packed with great things to see. There are park areas, restaurants, a mall, rides and much more. It's right on the water with great views all around. Given the unsafe state of Guayaquil at the time of this writing, there is a heavy military/police/security presence, so safety is not a concern. I was there a week before Christmas, so it was decorated for the Christmas season, which made it extra special.

Safe and really great vibes. There’s restaurants and games. Lots of people. Music and entertainment. I had a really good time here in el malecon 2000 and I would go back ! You can take a tour to isla santay and take photos as well as visit the little mall here.

For all the things said of Guayaquil - this boulevard is a jewel. Meandering gardens, a ferris wheel shopping, and coffee. The beauty - there's parking and security. The safest place in Guayaquil.
Jose Moreira — Google review
This area was opened a few years ago and is meant to be a leisure and tourist area. You can find there booths with all kind of things you don't need, and a lot of fairground attractions. You have also nice views on the river and you can book boat rides. Not a really must to see, but if you are around, give it a try.

After an 11-year absence, I came back to my hometown of Guayaquil to find it even more beautiful than I remembered.

I was warned that Guayaquil was a very dangerous city.
We just spent one night there at a great Hotel in the Malecon area.
The walks along the boardwalk here are super safe. There's police presence everywhere.
I really enjoyed seeing all kinds of tropical plants I've never seen before.
There are all kinds of interesting market stalls and impressibe statues.
The heat & humidity down by the coast is too much for me, but if you love to sweat yourself into a coma....this is the place to be!

Beautiful place to visit. It was our first time visiting Ecuador, Guayaquil, from the USA. We felt safe at all times, people were welcoming and polite. Nice parking garage with direct access to El malecón.

Very nice brand new avenue in waterfront. You can enjoy a small and beautiful jardin. This place is totally secured and you can either find ice cream, commercial center, cinema and a beautiful boat that you can see from upside after a few steps.
Parque Seminario, a historic park in Guayaquil, is a popular destination for visitors. It showcases sculptures and features an octagonal pavilion, where one can witness the presence of iguanas wandering freely. Although this park may not be considered a traditional museum due to its lack of indoor exhibits, it houses numerous historic buildings that were saved from demolition by local citizens.
A small, but beautiful park, in the middle of the city, that has iguanas walking around freely. There is also a pond containing a kot of turtles and fish. They are very friendly and not shy. It was a real treat to see them. The park is very clean, has a lot of shade from the many large trees, and there are plenty of park benches to sit on. Though there is grass it is not for walking or sitting on. The park was a wonderful oasis in a busy city. Well worth a visit.
There is also a gorgeous looking church across the street. It had just closed as we arrived. We plan to go back to see the inside.
Todd B — Google review
This is a wonderful park in the centre of Guayaquil with historic significance featuring a monument to Simon Bolívar. In addition, the park contains many iguanas roaming around in both enclosed spaces with ponds and also freely in other parts of the park. This is truly an urban oasis definitely worth a visit.
Peter Kapshuk — Google review
Beautiful city park with gorgeous plants and trees. Most of all though — it has iguanas!! They are everywhere!
Only one gate is open so once you’re inside you can walk around or sit on a bench to enjoy the scenery and wildlife.
It’s free!
There is a large statue in the center of the park and old trees along the edges near the fence. So many flowers and lovely plants! The iguanas are fascinating to watch.
Br sure to visit the cathedral just across the street if you are interested in that type of thing. It’s very European with a pretty rose window.
J Hasker — Google review
A small park in the centre of town with paths between patches of grass. Has a statue of Simon Bolivar, lots of arboreal iguanas, and the oldest building in Guayaquil. Not really somewhere to relax as the park was so busy.
PS Don't stand under any trees... You have been warned!
Mr B — Google review
This park is really sold on the fact that there are iguanas there, but to be honest, there aren't too many and they're not particularly big or impressive. Still, it's a nice park and there are ponds, where iguanas mix with fish and turtles.
The added draw for this park is that there is also the Metropolitan Cathedral right next to it, which is pretty impressive in it's own right.
Hidden Findings — Google review
Very surprising park in the heart of Guayaquil city.
Many iguanas moves around you very freely.
There is only benches where you can sit, no grass to lay down and rest.
Lior Polak — Google review
Great place to watch iguanas and get a selfish with these guys. Be on the lookout if you try to eat lunch here you WILL get a lizard friend.
Micky Harris — Google review
Parque Seminario, is known as Iguana Park - It is a must-visit travel spot in Guayaquil, Ecuador. 🦎 The park is home to a large population of iguanas. You will catch the iguanas sunning themselves on benches, lounge in the trees, and waddle along the pathways. It's a great place FREE place to soak up the local vibe and people-watch! If you are going to Ecuador put this on your "Things to Do" list!
Alex Claussell — Google review
This is a tiny park but it's really neat and pretty. I visited it at night which could add some charm to it. One thing that I'd improve is to add some color lights. Just replace some white bulbs with colored ones.
Piotr Kalinowski — Google review
Nice locals park where you can see turtles and iguanas. It sit nwxt to a very beautiful church also.
Tin Nguyen — Google review
Great to a quick stop! The park itself is pretty, but the main attractions are the iguanas that reside there! They are not afraid of you at all, and if you bring a banana along, then expect to make some friends!
Jennifer Ceriale — Google review
As you walk inside the Parque Seminario, you can see the care and love reflected in the carefully maintained passages full of old flat stones. I have no doubt that this is the first major eco system I've seen in the dead center of a city. The iguanas, tortoise, and fish co exist, creating a peaceful environment for all to reflect and find peace within. Very small park but huge in rich history.
David Teran-Walker — Google review
Nice people in- and outside! Nice Iguanas, happy to see them, they agreed with everything I said 😉. Got also explications from the staff inside.
It was a nice experience being here. Great for taking photographs of animals. Many unique species in the area. The sunsets are also pretty amazing. Take a boat, make sure you have insect repellent. You will need it.

Jipiro Park is a good place where you can feel very relax, specially on weekends. This place offers you a lot of thing such as: horse riding, childish games, canoe ride and some soccer and baskteball fields, where you can practice sports with your family. So, if you want to be relax rounded by green spaces, to have a picnic or walk with your pets, you should go there.
North of town, this kid-friendly park offers a giant chessboard, a skate park, a Chinese pagoda, a pint-size Kremlin, small animal enclosures and a paddleboat pond.

Looks like a fun park but it was CLOSED today on Saturday, August 22, 2020. We walked the perimeter and took some pics. They had barb wire and fences all around it to keep people out, doesn't look like it will open soon. Too bad 😱. There are two streams that cut thru the park, one is nice, one is filthy - see the scary pic where they merge.

Very nice place to enjoy a horseback ride or bike ride with the family, even in boats for two people. Affordable prices. Safety especially during daylight hours.
Bryan Fabian Morocho Quizhpe — Google review
What an elaborately fun park for children and adults. There is so much to do and see. The kids loved riding the electric and peddle vehicles. Bike riding, walking and feeding the ducks were also fun.
Paula Rovik — Google review
Nice park to spend a few hours with the family. Entrance is free. It is absolutely very clean and with plenty of tables and benches, or wonderful grass where you can sit to have a picknick. There are some activities to do.. like bumping around in big blow-up balls (2 dollars for 15 minutes), rolling around the lake in a big blow-up ball (2.50 dollars for 5 minutes), or boat-bicylce around the lake. There is also a sort of Jurassic park, didn't go in though. You can walk around and visit the world wonders (e.g. Big Ben, Eiffel tower, Kremlin), ride a bike, or go for a swim in the indoor pool (I understood men need to be wearing tight swimming pants).

Archaeological museum
Museums
Ancient, Moche-era archeological complex with ruins, art, wall designs, a mummy & various artifacts.
Very interesting museum and artifacts a lot of history. A must see.
Rene — Google review
Not quite as impressive size wise as some of the other archeological sites we had visited. However the number of tombs discovered so far really give an insight to the changing burial techniques over time. A lack of funds has temporarily stopped any further excavation. If you visit Peru it is still worth the effort.
David Finch — Google review
Pyramids nowhere near as impressive as later Inca, Azrec or Mayan structures and they have been greatly eroded by rain. However the excavations show an advanced culture fir ghe time. The museum gives an excellent interpretation and there is a room full of gold clothing, ornaments etc that the Spaniards missed giving us all a better insight into the distant. past
Graham Bowser — Google review
The ancient Huaca Cortada (100 to 700 AD) is visible 500 meters beyond the Museo Cao site museum at the Complejo arqueológico El Brujo in northern Perú. Huaca Cortada is an adobe Moche stepped truncated pyramid 22 meters high. The gash on the front of the pyramid may have been made by grave robbers. The Complejo arqueológico El Brujo is famous for the ancient Moche murals on Huaca Cao Viejo which were created by first laying down a thick layer of mud on which the design was drawn. Then a thin layer of color was applied. One of these ancient Moche mural may show a supernatural being half bird and half snake. Another features the principal Moche diety Aiapaec (the Decapitator).
David Stanley — Google review
Sometimes I feel simply 5* wouldn't do justice. This place could easily deserve 10+*. This is an ancient archaeological site that was occupied from preceramic times. The Chicama Valley can be considered as an archaeological microcosm. Huaca Prieta is the earliest part of the complex but the biggest constructions on the site belong to the Moche culture. In this area, there are also the remains of the later Lambayeque and Chimú.
The site is very nicely developed, very well maintained, and the information system (including, of course, guides) is very good. The open air displays as well as the museum is amazing. Not to be missed.

Impressive place. Most tourists who visit Peru just think of Machu Picchu and Cusco region. There is a whole other previous culture in other parts of Peru. The Moche people. It is a must to visit at least three or four of their sites.

If you're. Interested in keep learning about Peruvian history, this is a good to do it. Before visited Chan Chan or Huaca del Sol y la Luna, you should visited Huaca El Brujo to hear about La Señora de Cao. Wear sneakers and bring some sunscreen.

Really interesting site and amazing to see the Lady of Cao. It would have been nice to have an English guide.
Chan Chan is a significant pre-Columbian archaeological site in America, known for its vast adobe complex adorned with art and carvings. Located just 10 minutes from Huanchaco, it attracts numerous tourists daily. The ruins are part of a larger adventure that includes nearby sites like the Huacas del Sol y de la Luna and Huaca de Bruja. For surfers, the proximity to Huanchaco's renowned surf makes it an appealing destination.
Awe inspiring place for its huge scale more than anything. The mud carvings are attractive and lots of conservation and repair work is ongoing. The museum is a little small and dated but the city makes up for it.

Nice archeological site, arrive early so the sun and heat doesn't ruin your experience. I like the place , but those roofs take away the magic (I know they are needed for the protection of the site) . Parking could be a hassle if you arrive late.
Adolfo Martinez — Google review
Extremely underwhelming. You cannot actually visit the city. You walk for half an hour on a road and can visit only one enclosure which is just empty, boring and only a small part of the walls are original. After visiting the amazing Huaca de Luna, this is a dissapointment. They put no information there at all. All interesting areas are closed off.

Amazing site, definitely worth the visit. The sheer scale of the site was very impressive. We paid 69 soles for a guide at the site, and though pricey we were grateful for all the history and insight and felt it was well worth the money. The ticket cost also includes the museum entry.
Pippa Rook — Google review
I came here with my two pals and we thought it was ok. Upon arrival we found out it was 10SOL each for entry to the Chan Chan site and the museum. We decided not to get a tour guide as we though the 60SOL fee was excessive. We walked around the site and found it interesting but felt it was set up to need a tour guide as there was little to no information provided in either English or Spanish. We wanted to know how much of it had been reconstructed and a few other simple details. The toilet facilities were pretty good although the porta loo was very hot and I came out sweating a lot. This places is also under construction so I would imagine that one day there will be a lot more to explore.

Unusual construction method for Latin countries. Where other early cities are of stone, this one is made of clay.
Very interesting.

The Huaca del Sol is a vast and well preserved complex of temples and tombs from the Moche period in Peru. The site is located on the south bank of the Rio Moche, near Chan Chan. It has numerous colorful murals that are some of the best preserved from this period. The site is closed to visitors due to its size, but tours are available that include an English-speaking guide.

The museum was amazing and in both language. Even if I speak Spanish at a intermediate level, I like to read in English to save time. There was a lots of ancien artefacts and many room to discover. The only thing is when I bought our ticket, they didn't told me it was going to be close at 5 pm. So in the end I only had 1 h to visit the museum. The small bus bring back in Trujillo for 2$ soles . Don't pay more than that.

All payments are in cash and local currency (soles), a place cared for and maintained by the National University of Trujillo, everything organized and clean.
Nestled amidst the snow-capped mountains, this high-altitude lake offers a plethora of recreational activities such as kayaking, boating, hiking and camping. The area is renowned for its breathtaking views and popular treks including the Laguna 69 and Paron Lake hikes which are doable in a day.

One of the best things I've seen on my trip around south America. I had been told good things about laguna 69 and I was not disappointed. The scenery was stunning and I was amazed at how quite and tranquil it was. I'd definitely recommend coming here as it's such an stunning bit of nature!

What a spectacular hike! Everywhere you look is gorgeous. The hike isn't too strenuous unless you're feeling the affects of the altitude. It takes about two hours to get up to the lake and there's plenty of places to escape from the majority of the other hikers. Try to go early because once the busses arrive there are a ton of people on the trail.

Probably the best day hike in the area.
The climb to the lake at 4,600m is a bit strenuous, particularly if not well acclimatized.
It takes roughly three hours from the road to the lake and about two hours to come back down. Near the entrance there are some facilities and a couple of guys selling drinks/snacks, but I suggest that you don't rely on them being there. Take at least a litre of water.
Entrance for foreigners is 30 soles.

Absolutely fantastic - the kind of places that is definitely better irl than in any instagram adultered post. The hike up is ok, the views are beautiful, and the last bit psycho torture :) but the moment you see the plaque with the name of the lagoon and the lagoon behind it.. it is just the reason everyone hikes. We were lucky with the weather, but only for a few minutes. The clouds settled in quite fast.
If you go on an organised tour from Huaraz, get ready for a long three-hour drive to go and another 3 hours back, with half of it in very bad and bumpy roads.

One of our favourite hikes in South America. Fairly steep section in the middle and final 30 minutes but also quite flat in the middle and the beginning. Lots of waterfalls and stunning scenery along the way. The lake was beautiful and not too busy. 4600m up and around 14km round trip

I'll never travel to Machu Picchu without this trip planner again
National park & twin-summit mountain, Peru's tallest, popular with mountaineers & climbers.
Mount Huascaran, Spanish Nevado Huascarán, mountain peak of the Andes of west-central Peru. The snowcapped peak rises to 22,205 feet (6,768 m) above sea level in the Cordillera Blanca, east of the Peruvian town of Yungay. It is the highest mountain in Peru and is a favourite of mountaineers and tourists. In 1962 a thaw caused a portion of the sheer north summit to break off, resulting in an avalanche that destroyed several villages and killed about 3,500 persons. In 1970 a severe earthquake caused landslides that buried 10 villages and most of Yungay; tens of thousands of people were killed in one of the worst natural disasters of the 20th century. Amazing.

Very pretty plaza. It is aways very well kept and has flowers and plants adorning the entire perimeter.
Other than that, there's not much to do in it.
O would advis visiting the plaza only on the first day in Huaraz, or if you wish to spend a peaceful time seated on one of its benches.
There's really not much to do on here.
Gabriel Nazato — Google review
We got to experience a religious procession. It was a typical town square.
Picturesque lake at an altitude of 4,480-m. known for its clear, blue-green water.
Stunning views, even with cloudy and misty weather. Go up with a colectivo (ask around where to find it) and they will take you up; they will be able to take you down again, you just have to wait for them to come back to the top. It can take sometime for it to depart as it needs to be full, both ways, so it can also be quite an uncomfortable ride as it will literally be bursting with local people going up and down the hills.
Important note: despite your hostel maybe not recommending that you take a guide, please do. It is very important to know your way, especially when getting closer to the lake. We went up with reduced visibility and rainy weather. You have to literally climb some of the sections with the help of chains on very very slippery rocks (see pics and video); it is extremely dangerous and in any other country the path would be closed during rainy weather. At the end of the path, there are no more indications. We reached the lake out of luck and guidance of other trekkers, via an irregular path since we could not find the way to the miradoro.
Gorgeous, but adrenaline inducing

Excellent hike! Get a collectivo from Huarez for 20s and a hike from there. The entry is 30s for the national park. The hike is challenging but good. The last 500m are steep with chains for assistance. Well worth it
Donal — Google review
Laguna Churup is so worth the visit! Taking about 2 hours for someone who has recently arrived in huaraz and is not used to the altitude, and perhaps shorter for someone who has been here a little longer. It's not an easy walk, but just wait till you arrive at the lake! And adventurous hike, at parts using metal chains to grab and pull yourself up as its steep, however if you dont want to go through these parts, you can take the left path before so. The lake is a green and blue colour, it is amazing from all parts!
daniela mcclunie — Google review
Beautiful lake, but be prepared for steep way. You have to make 700m up in 5km. It was quite difficult, because of altitude. We got some headache and earache. Drink a lot of water and enjoy breathtaking views.
Maria Mykhailenko — Google review
The colectivo to Pitec charges 10 soles but during low season it not easy to get there by public transport, try to get the 8am one. Entrance to the National Park is 30 soles for foreign visitors.
The landscape is really worth it from the very moment you leave Huaraz and only gets better the higher you get.
The laguna is at 4,500 metres altitude so try to acclimatise before doing this trek. At some point the path reaches a fork. We took the "Optional" longer and easier path to the laguna which takes you to the viewpoint where you can enjoy amazing views over the laguna and the glacier. It can be foggy and rainy but with some patience you'll be able to see the cristal clear water of the lake.
We chose the shorter way to come back which takes you down steep slopes /cliffs alongside the waterfall with the help of ropes. Very exciting but I wouldn't want to try it both ways!
Mikel Lantaron — Google review
Worth a visit, could be a good acclimatization hike if you are planning to do multiple day treks around Huaraz. It’s not very easy and if you take a certain route you will also have to do some cable aided climbing, which is doable. If you want to avoid that, close to the top the road splits, take the left one. You can easily get here with a colectivo from the city going to Pitec and get off at the last stop.
Chavin de Huantar is a significant archaeological area that contains artifacts and structures from the pre-Incan Chavín culture. It is considered the most captivating site of Peru's MidLate Formative Period, dating back to around 1200-500 BC. The ceremonial center boasts impressive temple-like constructions above ground and intricate underground passages illuminated with modern technology.
Fascinating historical site to discover the Chavin people. You’ll need a tour guide to get the most out of it and understand the surroundings. The signs are in Spanish and English. The most fascinating part of the site are the underground tunnels. Several of the tunnels don’t allow photos so the place is even more interesting than the photos you see online would suggest.

I can't give this site less than 3 stars because even though it was closed, I'm fairly confident I will rate it 5 stars if/when I revisit and have the opportunity to go inside with a tour guide.
Unesco world heritage site 330. Be careful visiting as they seem to close randomly and have weird visiting hours/days. May require a reservation/appointment.
2022.08.20 0429 PET-RMN update: Interesting, I didn't read my own note as we went there on Tuesday 2022.08.16 (~8 hour drive by car from Lima) and it was closed due to a recent landslide in the area (~2 weeks prior). We did not call in advance or attempt to make reservations. However, we were able to see the u shaped complex, main temple (from the outside), and sunken plaza. We could also see the fanged deity from pretty close, taking pictures from over the wall. The fanged deity is much larger than I thought. I anticipated that it would be around 6-8 inches in diameter but it was more like 3-4 feet in diameter. If we have the opportunity, we should revisit to take the tour and see the museum located in the town of Chavin, as it was also closed. Tickets/tours include the ability to go inside the temple and view the several meter high stone rock pillar (obelisk) with partially transformed fanged deity carvings.
Rodney Newton — Google review
If you take the collectivo to the small town of Chavin then it is only a few minutes until you get to the ruins. The site is extensive and during my visit hardly to moderately visited. Tickets can be bought quickly at the ticket office, a guide was not possible in english and i hardly speak spanish. The galleries are admirable and it was very interesting to explore them. The whole place is noticeably full of energy.

3.1 square miles in size, this receding, bowl-shaped glacier is popular among hikers & ice climbers.
A short walk to an amazing 5000m glacier. I would have liked to stay longer, but the tours guid said we had to go back...
Cédrik Foisy — Google review
The place is not bad. Glacier is small but still okay. This place has a high altitude (>5.000 mdpl) so good for acclimation.
However, the tour we joined was dissapointing. They stopped in an expensive restaurants, twice, each 1 hour. Meanwhile, we only got a bit of time to enjoy the glaciers (around 20 mins). The tour guide was so defensive and she speaks 0 english. It’s more a scam than a proper tour.

The park and the glacier are beautiful and worth the visit! that being said we booked a tour at tour operator in Huaraz. We had to register our names on a registration form in the bus. Me (being a foreigner) my girlfriend (Peruvian) are charged with different pricing Me 30 soles, girlfriend 12 soles. The guys (guide and bus driver) in the bus changed my nationality to Peruvian, so they could pocket 18 soles! Instead of giving the fee to the park. I don't mind paying more if this money goes to preserving the park and it's beauty for the future. But then taking this money (the guide and bus driver) in there own pocket is very very bad in my opinion. Because we saw the list laying around (to bad I didn't take picture as proof), we confronted the guide after our trip. He got nervous and denied the alligations. My girlfriend being Peruvian got a call 30 minutes later from the guide that he will wire the 18 soles to her bank account, and yes he did this after 1 hour after the confrontation.
As a foreigner please check at the park entrance that you are indeed seen as a foreigner and that the money doesn't go into the pocket of the guide.
I've not included the name of the tour agency and the name of the guide. This will probably cost him his job and that is not what we wanted.
For the rest the park is worth visiting :) the altitude did take it's toll at the beginning but it was all worth it!!

Beautifully renovates. Great family vacation option. Stayed at the Camelot hotel with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Sunsets from there are breathtaking. Staff is supper friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome.
Uliz Diaz — Google review
Wow where do I begin...this place was just way too amazing for words. I absolutely loved it. I want to go back already!
So basically through every area is a theme throughout history with actors interacting with small groups on tours throughout. Some themes include Peru, Egypt, Camelot, Aztec, Babylon, Greece, Rome, and many many more. There are too many to really remember to be honest. My favorite was Egypt. And being able to see Anubis I was just in awe. I can't obviously ever go to the real Egypt so this will be the closest I can get for now ☺️
The only major complaints I have are there is a TON of stairs...oh my gosh! I am unsure if we just missed where the elevators were to go back downstairs or if they were going for the "old castle" theme and there are none. Next time we go we are having my daughter either walk on her own or ride on our shoulders.
Also we went to a beautiful restaurant and they had cats meandering around while we ate. It was kind of weird and I'm not that into cats. Make sure at least they aren't where your diners are eating at least please!
Among all the attractions there you can also:
*Swim: (they have a huge pool I think it's 10 soles a person to get in) take a swimming suit and change of clothes!
*Shop: there are many artisan places to shop inside and souvenir shops as well. I love that about Peru, support the artisans and small business!
*Eat: there are a few restaurants inside you can pay in the entrance to make a reservation. (People outside are too pushy and it freaked me out they practically swamped us in the car yelling at us with thier menu papers)
*I think there is also a hotel. I would love to stay there.
*Parking: it's 10 soles a day total and they only take cash (just a heads up)
You can also hold a hawk for 10 soles and take pictures with it. That was so cool and it was such a pretty bird too!
Overall it was a great experience. I can't wait to go back!

Crowded and disorderly. The building was incomplete. They had living eagles tethered to trainers so that people could have their photos taken for s/ 10, but the animals where in distress. The food at the resturant was decent and the haunted house was short but well done. This is an affordable place to take kids but I would say that it is a 4th rate attraction at best

We traveled from the United States of America to Lima, Peru. While here, we were told to go an hour north to see the Castillo de Chancay. In which we did. There is only one toll between here and there at 7.90 sols at the time of this review. Parking will cost about 10-15 sols and entry is 20 sols per adult and 10 sols for children 10 and younger. It has a water swimming pool, shops, live entertainment and restaurants here. My only suggestion is finish up the construction and put an ATM for foreigners who need to get money to buy items for sale. The food was marvelous and the view spectacular. They even have their own wine from this region.

Purely built for tourism, fun for children but not really for adults, plenty of restaurants and bars but it's not cheap. The tours can take a while to start, drinks can take a while to make. We couldn't finish the 2 tours and have a drink in the time we had free.

It is a fun place a little bit of a tourist trap do not have any illusions everything is reconstructed and is a theme park nothing historical but is still fun none the less . I wouldn't do the tour where they have characters acting but on your own roaming around is the fun part. Would I return no probably not but was fun to go once in my life there is not much depth other than walking around

Good things first:
+ Lots of variety
+ Lots of fun
+ Many things to take photos of
+ Some animals
+ Great view of the ocean
+ Very interesting entertainment
Down sides:
- Pool closed
- A little too commercialized
- Sometimes too crowded
- Some very poor maintenance in some parts
- Would be better if they hid their speaker devices in walls instead of having a huge chunky boombox with sound coming through it, in a setting intended to be historical
The show with the dancers and magicians was one of the highlights for me. I also loved that I could take photos with some wild birds.

Peru doesn't have any amusement parks, but let's say this is the closest version of one
Themed with all cultures and stories around the world, i must say the "tour guides" there are the best. They are sooo motivated and into the act, that it makes your inner child or your child feel so much joy, if i was Disney i would hire them for sure
They also got a very well done Haunted House, a small hotel for your overnight stay or a mid-day nap; two pools with ocean view very well done; many restaurants to find the food you crave for
The price is very affordable for all they do offer, we went as a six person group and offered us a 300 PEN pack including 2 hour hotel stay, pool access, haunted house and of course all the guided tours, equivalent to 50PEN (round 12 USD) per person

The Plaza de Armas (Arms Square) in Lima, Peru is a popular tourist destination for visitors to the capital city. The square is bordered by iconic palaces, including the Archbishop of Lima's Palace and the Government Palace. The square also features a fountain and a number of historical monuments.
Very clean, safe and very nice to visit. Keep in mind that sometimes they close it due to too many people and you still take pics, many different restaurants across the streets and around the Plaza. Indian markets located 1/3 block away as well. Very cost friendly.

Beautiful plaza with great restaurants around it. Go there at late afternoon and stay till
Night time to see the square light up. Visit all the other things around like San Francisco cathedral and others.

The Lima Main Square, known as the Plaza Mayor, is an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring the rich history and culture of Peru. This square is the heartbeat of Lima, surrounded by some of the most iconic and historically significant buildings in the city.
The architecture is breathtaking, with the Government Palace, Cathedral of Lima, and Archbishop's Palace dominating the square. The vibrant energy here is infectious, whether it's the local vendors selling traditional Peruvian crafts, the captivating street performances, or the constant buzz of both locals and tourists.
This place isn't just a feast for the eyes; it's a journey through time. The stories held within these walls resonate with the heritage of Peru. Visiting this square is like stepping into a living museum, where every corner holds a piece of the city's past.
Additionally, the square's central location makes it an excellent starting point for exploring the rest of Lima. You can easily access other attractions, restaurants, and shops from here.
However, as it's a bustling tourist spot, it can get quite crowded during peak hours. Regardless, the vibrant atmosphere and the historical significance outweigh the crowds.
A visit to Lima isn't complete without immersing yourself in the beauty and history of the Lima Main Square. It's a definite highlight and an essential stop for any traveler.
Pro tip: Consider a guided tour to fully grasp the historical importance and stories behind the buildings and the square itself.

Lima itself isn't the most romantic or fantastic city, but the Plaza is a different story. A must see if you're in Lima.

A very well kept Square with its beautiful historical buildings. Peru was occupied by Spanish for a good three hundreds years who built a lot of beautiful buildings in this desert area of Peru. Although the Spanish have gone a long time ago but Peruvian authorities have kept these buildings in tip top condition which draw a lot of locals as well as foreign tourists who bring in a lot of foreign exchange. 👍✌👌

Stunning architecture. We were there on St. Peter and St. Paul's day on June 29. The street surrounding the square and the square itself was full of families having fun on this inpmrtant festival day.

Beautiful. Love the attention to detail of the architecture. Reminds me a little of Europe. The chapel at the square had so much in it. Hard to take it all in

Lovely large square with the impressive buildings to admire. It’s a shame that it’s still cordoned off with barriers so you can’t wander through the parks in the centre, instead being restricted to the perimeter, but fight to the front of the crowds and it’s still impressive. Plenty going on and to observe, with the services from the cathedral coming and going, and it’s a must visit for anyone’s first time in the city.

It's a pleasant square/plaza, with many colonial historic buildings around it, including the Lima Metropolitan Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace of Lima, the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace and the ubiquitous Lima sign. I was lucky enough to arrive when it was closed momentarily, for presidential business and saw it empty. There's also a nice fountain in the centre and seating all through it.

This is a beautiful square surrounded by beautiful buildings. However, it's surrounded by many other things as well. As of February 2024 police have mostly closed off the square to prevent additional demonstrations or unrest. For better or worse, that means it's essentially closed minus if you ask the police directly to allow you to take photos or cut through. You're not prohibited from entering, it's just not possible for everyone at once to enter.

Well, it's a beautiful square but I guess in the wrong place. I didn't feel like in Peru at all. I felt like in Spain. Of course, it is part of history but I just disagree with the colonization ideas around the whole world. So the square is nice with that Spanish architecture but it just looks to me like a strawberry on the top of a beef steak. Both are delicious but not tasty together.
Thank you 💙

This was definitely a highlight. The square has closed down the streets to walk through like a shopping centre. I would definitely recommend going at night time to see it lit up. It felt very safe as well as they have national and local police everywhere. There is also local guides that speak English to help you out if you need to get somewhere!

This is a must visit area when you get to Lima Peru. The colonial architecture is unique in its gender. There are also colossal churches that have decor back to colonial period.

The Lima main square is located in the historic center of Lima . This place called plaza de armas is the birthplace of the city of Lima, a UNESCO world heritage site. A lot of beautiful architecture and historical buildings. You could really see the Spanish colonial influence in the area.

Very lively. Saw the guards doing their closing ceremony at 6pm. Church bells and music are awesome. Lot of street vendors and buildings near by. The famous photo spot for LIMA let cut out is also here. There is an explanation of plaza and buildings. Must visit in Lima and expect to spend a couple hours. We skipped the city tour and just hung out by ourself

The one place that every tourist and local Peruvians visit. It's huge, spacey, but subject to random closures (anyone knows where to look up when and why the square is scheduled to close?) The buildings surrounding the square is beautifully architected and historical. The main square is neighbour to a lot of museums and churches that everyone ought to visit at least once in their lifetime. The square itself is free to visit, but the museums near by all are paid for entry.
Expect some to sell tourist packages or shoe cleaning services.

In the heart of Lima's historic center, Centro Histórico, lies Plaza de Armas, where visitors can't miss the renowned El Chinito. This eatery is celebrated for its generous sandwiches, particularly the must-try Pan con Chicharron. Similar to La Lucha, El Chinito's sandwich is substantial and packed with flavorful meat, making it a popular choice among locals and tourists alike.
This museum is home to a large and varied collection of pre-Columbian artifacts, including ceramic erotica. It is situated in an 18th-century viceroys mansion, and the collection has been largely thanks to the donation of Rafael Larco Herrera and the guidance and foundation of his father Rafael Larco Hoyle. The museum offers visitors a fascinating insight into the cultures that created these beautiful objects, which date back over 5000 years.
The Larco Museum was great. It's not a big muse but it's very well curated with a lot of information to go through. It takes approx 3 hours for a detailed view of the museum (reading everything).
There is also a special room with special pieces that's a bit separated from the main area that you should not miss but not sure if smaller children are supposed to go there.
There is also a small cafe inside with good drinks but food is just ok.

I have two teenage boys who are much more into outdoor adventure than visiting museums. However, we felt like we should visit at least one museum during our trip to Peru and picked the Larco Museum. It was a great choice and we all really enjoyed it. The collection is very impressive and displayed in an easy to appreciate manner. Signs are provided in 6 languages including English for each display. In addition to the collections, the grounds themselves are quite nice. We spent about 2 hours there in total. We took Uber from our hotel both directions, which was very easy. There were a decent number of people there, but it was not crowded at all.

Fantastic museum on Peruvian history with a vast collection of artifacts collected and on display in the museum.
The museum is well designed and easy to visit in a few hours. On display are the many bowls with double spouts, arrowheads, cloth and clothing, jewelry and so much more.
The grounds are beautiful with potted plants and flowers covering every walkway.
Our group also had the opportunity to enjoy dinner at the restaurant which I have to say was fantastic. For my meal I had a salad to start with bread and butter, my main entree was pasta with a tomato sauce and fresh fruit for dessert.
Service is excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful.
Great afternoon and evening at the Larco Museum.

Amazing museum! It should be in the top of your list when visiting Lima and you should definitely hire a tour guide given that every bit of information is fascinating! Our tour guide Andrea was so knowledgeable and very friendly.
We then went to the restaurant in the museum and the food was amazing!
They were able to cater to me given my dietary restrictions (vegan).
Melissa, our server was the highlight of the night! She was so nice and professional. She really made the experience that much better.
In summary:
- Don't leave Lima without getting a guided tour of the museum
- The staff is fantastic
- Would be a romantic thing to do with a partners
- Cater to dietary restrictions, including veganism

Great to visit with a guide. The museum has over 45,000 pieces of art. In 1hr, we saw the highlights and had a nice tour with local guide Sandra. One member of our OAT tour group opted to stay and spend more time. I've included photos of beautiful restaurant/bar which is on museum grounds. The gardens surrounding this former home are spectacular and well maintained. LANTANA cascades over the walls. Worth a visit...it has English Descriptions too.

What an interesting historical museum. The artifacts are exceptional well preserved with multiple languages of explanations.
To go through the entire museum can take up to 2 hours if you read each and every fact. There is even a short video presentation that you can watch.
Even the gift shop was a highlight as you can take home a replica of such amazing art and jewelry.

Worth visiting. Impressive collection. Very informative. The main entrance is facing Parque Larco. A souvenir shop is located at the main gate. There is a steep climb that would lead you to the ticket counter and reception. There is a restaurant within the museum located at the other lower side of the museum. Consist of 3 galleries- the permanent exhibit with detailed pre columbian displays, the visible storage, and the erotic gallery. The erotic gallery is a bit separated from the two, and is located beside the restaurant below. The food at the restaurant was very good but a bit expensive. Has a beautiful garden and landscaping. You might heard some insect sound and birds chirping but is just recorded for the ambiance. One of the most impressive and memorable museum I visited.

It is considered one of the main museums in Lima. There are 5 thousand years of development of Peruvian history portrayed through the most diverse types of archaeological objects. Its display in chronological order makes it easier to understand many aspects of pre-Inca and Inca cultures. For real, it's a very interesting museum!

Great experience! Definitely get a tour guide! If you're into history at all, you will be amazed with what you learn. The staff is friendly and willing to accommodate you in English and in Spanish. Plan on being there for at least an hour, maybe more. Take pictures to your heart's content, just don't wear a hat indoors. The restaurant looks great, we tried the bar 🍸, excellent. The crowd was well dressed, but we were dressed casually. It did not seem to bother anyone. It was a sunny day, so most takes were eating in the garden.

A very comprehensive showcase of all the cultures that come before Spanish invasion. Not all of the descriptions has English translations but it should not be a problem for none Spanish speakers to understand most of the background. The most interesting of course is the erotic section of the wing. Fascinating stuff. 😉

Especially if you are new to the history of Peru, you'll be able to spend some hours here.
Interesting collection with descriptions in multiple languages. The descriptions are mostly generic about the periods, cultures and the type of things that are depicted, but not too much details on individual items.
There's a large storage which you can also visit.
Overall a good experience and friendly service.

Excellent service...they pack delicate gifts in bubble wrap.

For every historical piece that makes into the permanent exhibition, there are hundreds similar items sitting on the shelf in the back room collecting dust.
Human memory hard drive has very limited space. Most are buried, forgotten, or never discovered.
Millenniums of history from thousands BC to Colonial times are shown in these rather crowded rooms, inspiring us to imagine life in the long gone past on this ancient land.
Interesting to see human sacrifices depictions, and DON’T miss the EROTIC museum after you finish the main exhibition.
The flowers in the courtyards are beautiful- must be very old plants.
It’s a private museum and the size is very modest - but still very fun to see.

A very interesting museum. We spent about 2 hours here but could have spent more of our tour guide wasnt rushing us. Almost all items have descriptions in at least 4 languages, Spanish, English, French and German. A guide is not needed but it's helpful and faster than reading all the descriptions and figuring it out piece by piece. The restaurant had great food!

This is one of the most complete museums of art work from the pre-Inca days of Peru. I went with a friend that had deep knowledge of this museum and the history of the finds for this collection.
There is case after case after case of artifacts of all kinds, even some in built of gold. We spent two-hours here, and there was not enough time to explore all of it.
The restaurant attached to the museum is awesome as well. Great food, and great selection of mixed drinks and wine. The museum and restaurant would make a great date night!

Basilicas and convents are often associated with images of serenity and peaceful contemplation, but this is not the case with Basílica y Convento de San Francisco de Lima. This prominent church and monastery features an ornate library as well as underground catacombs, making it a popular tourist destination. The architecture of the building is strikingly different from most other churches in Peru, and its robin's egg blue facade contrasts beautifully with the surrounding walls of tan.
An amazing must-see place in Lima. I paid for a certified guide outside that did an outstanding job of explaining the history of this place without rushing through anything. The historical library, beautiful courtyard, moorish cupola, and catacombs make for an unforgettable experience in Lima.

The Basílica and Convent of San Francisco is an absolute gem in Lima's historical landscape. Stepping into this architectural marvel feels like a step back in time, offering a glimpse into the city's vibrant past.
The stunning basilica, with its ornate façade and intricate details, is a sight to behold. The blend of Baroque and Moorish influences is awe-inspiring. Inside, the beauty only deepens, with remarkable chapels adorned with stunning religious art, creating an atmosphere of serenity and wonder.
The highlight, undoubtedly, is the catacombs. Exploring the subterranean tunnels and chambers is both eerie and fascinating. The bones arranged meticulously in patterns are a haunting yet powerful reminder of the past.
The guided tours are informative and engaging, shedding light on the history and significance of this place. The guides' knowledge and passion truly enhance the experience.
The library and museum add another layer of richness to the visit, showcasing priceless artifacts and historical manuscripts.
However, due to the popularity of this site, it can get quite crowded, so visiting early in the day might offer a more tranquil experience.
Overall, the Basílica and Convent of San Francisco is a must-visit for history enthusiasts, architecture admirers, and anyone seeking to delve into Lima's captivating past. A true testament to the city's rich cultural heritage.

The most amazing part of this is that it is both a museum and active convent! This dates from the colonial ages, and the architecture is just breathtaking! Words cannot describe, I saw go check it out!
Brian Miller — Google review
If you are Catholic it is especially awe inspiring.
You cannot take pictures in the convent and catacombs, and for good reason -Many of the paintings and artifacts date to the 16th century and previous tourists apparently didn't get NO FLASH, so now that privilege has been removed. Also The well of bones which was really constructed centuries ago for earthquake purposes, is NOT a wishing well, throwing COINS in particular DAMAGES the bones. If you want to be generous to the Friars and the workers who have to fish your trinkets out, use dollars.
You can take pictures in the Basilica that still conducts regular Mass and Service all these centuries later.
Note there is a lot of restoration going on at this time of my visit.

We waited about half hour for an English tour. Spanish tours ran more often and there were private guides outside the entrance that could be used as well. The catacombs were interesting but don't compare to the catacombs of Paris. The bigger highlight was the Basicila. It's beautiful with a most fascinating history. Our guide was excellent! The only disappointment was no photos allowed inside.

This is one of the better church tours I've been able to join. Foreigners pay 20 sol each (as of February 2024) which is about $5 to join. English tours are available and encouraged. The tour begins to the left of the main chapel. You aren't allowed to take photos anywhere along the tour, besides the entrance and final courtyard (my photo is from the main chapel not during the tour). You'll see some amazing pieces of painted art, tile art, and carvings. The catacombs are the main reason people visit. They're eerie and beautiful. All the bones are real human remains. I can't recommend this tour enough as a cultural appreciation experience.

I highly recommend visiting the convent. The art and craft that you can see inside is stunning, from the colourful mosaics that cover the walls of inside court to the woodwork inside the church. Our guide was very good and made it a captivating visit. Guided tours are included in the ticket prices. The convent as a whole is very beautiful and the catacombs are added value. Sadly but for good reason photos and videos are not allowed.

I'm a history nut - the rest of our group, not so much. It was my day to choose an excursion - so I chose the catacombs. Turned out the entire group (only 4 of us, but we travel extensively) were awed. The church to the catacombs to the surrounding area. Well worth the visit! Always try local!

this is a working monastery but they had done extensive restoration after the earthquake in 1974 and therefore is “opened”to the public. the catacomb was from 1600’s to late 1700’s so they estimated to have 25,000 remains of munks, priest, residents of lima bach when.

I visited during the World cup 2023 finals. The entrance to the tours is on the left of the main church. Tours are conducted in both English and Spanish, and no photography is allowed. I had to wait for about 45 minutes before a guide was available (world cup final, extra time, penalties etc) and ended up getting a private tour which was great ! This was my first time visiting any catacomb and I didn't realize that this was the main form of Christian Burial for a long time. The art work inside the monastery is stunning and the monastery remains active with monks and priests residing on premise. At the time of my visit there was ongoing construction in front of the Church.
The picturesque neighborhood park known for its fountains and evening laser light shows is a must-see for anyone visiting Lima. The fountain show is so indulgent it's hard to resist getting lost in its over the top extravagance. There are twelve different fountains with capped ends adorned by a 120m long laser light show set to a medley of tunes. It has to be seen to be believed!
Wow where to begin....
This was such a neat experience! I absolutely loved this park. I seen pictures of the inside, but trust me when I say it doesn't do it any justice! Just the expanse of different fountains and how huge the park is was just mind boggling.
My one advice would be to take a change of clothes and shoes with you (especially if you have small children) there is a play area for them that they can run around and get wet in with a parent nearby. I wanted to have my daughter do it, but we had only tennis shoes for her. Oh well, next time 🤗 it's a perfect excuse to go back right?
Also I know at night they all light up. We seen parts of the big long fountain change colors once it got a bit more into the evening and it was so pretty. If we ever go at night I will have to post those pics for you all. Till then... enjoy these and know this is definitely worth a visit!

For s/8 per person (approximately $2 US) this place is a great "must see" water fountain park that's best viewed after dark because of the light effects.
Great for small children and families. Bring your swim suit and a towel and change of clothes if you decide to enjoy the fountains you can walk through.
They close at 10pm, but we realized it's only takes about an hour to 90 minutes to walk through and appreciate each of the sites. Glad we decided to add this place to our list of places to see.

Absolutely amazing! Cannot recommend it highly enough. There is a lot to do and see in the park and there is a 15-minute show in the evening (check the times before going). It was very crowded when we went, but otherwise really impressive. A must-do in Lima.

I was a wonderful water show. I was told it changes, so its more of a one of a kind experience for every visit. The statues are beautiful and there is a little cotton candy station that makes characters for 15-20 soles.

When I first entered, I was underwhelmed. But after walking around for a while and seeing the different fountains, I realised that there was actually more there than I first anticipated.
The main fountains varied their patterns over time, keeping interest alive. They varied from strong jets of water to spray effects and the lighting added further interest.
The main Magic Fountain has incredibly powerful jets that shoot water up very high at times and the patterns vary over time well. There is also a fun tunnel made from water that people can walk through, but watch out for idiots that like to disrupt the water jets by putting their hands on the way in order to try to wet other visitors.
But the main attraction is the 120 metre Fantasy Fountain, which has a display every 45 minutes or so. During this time, the fountains create a spray onto which projectors display an interesting film about the history of the country. This is mixed with music, lighting and other water jets to very good effect.
It only cost 4 Soles to enter and they accept credit cards also. As you might expect, there are also food and drink vendors and toilets inside. There is also a fountain that people can go inside and play in (and get soaking wet).

Loved it! Really cool experience and definitely worth checking it out! The fountain show was unlike anything I'd seen before. You can see the show times on the website. We arrived just as one show was starting, then walked around the park to see the other fountains. By the time we had walked around most of the park, the next show was starting so we stayed and watched it again. Seems like it was a fun place for kids too with a small train that goes around the park and an inflatable slide.

Excellent park to spend some quality hours with family. Recomendable for kids to play with water fountains.
Ice skating facility is overrated and lack of knee and elbow protection. Not reccomended.
The show of lights is interesting and varies from time to time.
Outside the park, there are several street restaurants... A BIT more expensive than normal street food places but not extremely high. Reccomended!
Me and a couple friends from Lima had a great time at the Stone Forest. We got supplies in town rented tents, sleeping bags, and bed mats. The tent was a little small or actually pretty cramped for two people at 6 feet tall. Very cool at night - 5 degrees Celsius so the sleeping bags we're not actually rated to this level so be sure and bring some extra blankets and warm gear. I suggest hats gloves at night time because it's really cold.
The views are absolutely incredible so gorgeous such a powerful and peaceful place. I would highly recommend anyone to go we packed all over gear in ourselves so you can either do that or you can rent a donkey or take the bus or car to the top. Daytime temperatures were very warm absolutely beautiful wonderful wonderful walk. I would highly suggest taking the longer route. Enjoy and if you're lost you sure to turn on your location through Google and you'll be able to find your way using GPS positioning.

Very beautiful natural place, at an altitude of 4000 m,
with also well preserved chullpas (pre-Inca tombs, Recuay culture, VIIth c.) and dead city.
But:
- the inhabitants of San Pedro de Casta are a little damaged by mass tourism: not so welcoming.
- you have to pay a tax of 15 soles per person (50% inflation in 2 years...; 30 soles for foreigners), for ZERO SERVICE, except the maintenance of an earth track (and without a sign at the start: do not not pass under the Marcahuasi gantry in 4 * 4 but ; if we had to pay as much for each track in the country, no more people would be able to move) and uninteresting stone "facilities" that are hardly useful to anyone.
- hordes of limenios pitch their tent on weekends,
imposing on others their noise (music to their individual taste) until late
and leaving their garbage on site (too tiring to bring back what they have been able to bring for themselves)
- in the village: no public water, the small Museum is closed, and nobody had the key of the church on that day either.

Fantastic views from this place but the trek is NOT easy if you plan to take all of your camping equipment but yourself (I'd strongly recommend taking a donkey).
One extremely important thing to note is that there are two paths once you walk half way up. (the 'short' and the 'long' path).
Do not be fooled by this, the short path is steeper and will get you to the entrance of Marcahuasi quicker but it is at least another 1km from the entrance to the camp site so you are MUCH better taking the easier, longer route as they both equate to the same distance to the campsite (overall).
Once you're at the top, it is absolutely breath taking but prepare for a lot of loud noise from dogs and donkeys at the top (morning and night).
Also, bring your own firewood as the firewood we bought from the vendors was pretty useless.
Parque de la Identidad Huanca, located in Huancayo, is a colorful and whimsical park celebrating the local culture and traditions of the Wanka people. The park features quirky stone sculptures, winding pathways, and exhibits detailing the history of Huancayo. Visitors can explore handcrafted art, pottery, music exhibits, and a diverse collection of native plants and trees. Additionally, the park showcases statues of renowned music composers from Huancayo with their music playing through speakers.
The only beautiful place in Huancayo city, don't get me Wrong, Huancayo have many beautiful places but not in the city.

Well looked after, not only the craftsmanship is remarkable but you can tell the attention to detail was a priority when designing this one of a kind Park. The flowers are in full bloom, the retama is back in the region and the sunshine is but the cherry on top of a wonderful calm place inside a busy city.

Amazingly beautiful park that's almost too spectacular to believe. Every square inch is covered with cut stones that form an amazing sight. A must see for any visitors to Huancayo!

Scenic, well-manicured plaza surrounded by an array of hotels, a cathedral, restaurants & shops.
Ayacucho is a hidden gem that amazes you with culture and amazing food. I spent a week enjoying the surrounding tours and spending time in nature...exploring caves and waterfalls...definitely a wonderful adventure. Only one hour away from Lima by plane.

Super clean, it has a great view of the mountains and an old traditional style. Just by visiting the place you can see the heart of Ayacucho.

Considering the amount of people and how chaotic the events can get, very well in order and immaculate the next morning

Sunny weather all the year round, beautiful architecture and landscapes from the city Main Square. It's a good idea to have a meal anytime in the Square with a cool view from the 2nd store. Recommended the local gelato, which local women prepare on Sundays around the Square.
