Nice place to do the ritual of knotting a handkerchief to the string of handkerchiefs.
Maria Fernanda Farias — Google review
Great place to enjoy the typical landscape 'serrano', it's amazing. But I have never understand anything about handkerchiefs. That seem a commercial ritual, even there is a man charging parking in free terrain. Would be better someone telling the history of this place.
Angel Donvito — Google review
Even though the rock formation and area are beautiful, it was packed with people and the main attraction seemed to be the commerce of religion, which was sad, specially since it was a huge mix of everything.
The 'gruta' and the amount of hankerchieves was impressive though. If you are Catholic and in the area, this place might interest you.

The Capilla de Los Negros in Argentina is a rare testament to African heritage and the history of slavery. This UNESCO church, constructed in 1862, stands as one of the few existing monuments that commemorate this important aspect of the country's past. With its distinctiveness, simplicity, and historical significance, it represents an invaluable piece of cultural heritage.

Today she is 99 years old and since I am the one who lives here now, I tell her what happens sometimes and I always think the same, how much pain and sadness those humble walls contain and it always brings me the same tears when I pray. For me in the chapel when I prayed it always gave me peace.

Constructed in 1832, in a neoclassical fashion, the Church Cathedral of Our Lady of Mercy stands proudly opposite the central square within the historical hub of the city. Bestowed with the title of Cathedral in 1980 by Pope John Paul II upon establishing the Diocese of Chascomus, this magnificent structure remains remarkably well-preserved. Its beauty is undeniable, as it exudes an aura of elegance and charm that captivates all who lay eyes upon it.

A beautiful place to sit and enjoy some mates, a walk, why not do a little sport too. The cobblestones and red tiles, next to the municipal building, make for a very picturesque route.

Chascomús is the principal city in Chascomús Partido in eastern Buenos Aires Province of Argentina, located 123 km south of the capital Buenos Aires. In 2001, the city had a population of 30,670. Wikipedia.
Plaza Malvinas Argentinas is a splendid cultural center that provides an opportunity for relaxation, historical immersion, and mate drinking. The area is adorned with numerous benches, playgrounds for kids, trees offering shades, and a Cafe. This stunning plaza commemorates the soldiers who gave their lives while safeguarding Argentine land. Though the Cafe has toilets, public restrooms would be preferable to avoid unpleasant experiences.

There's amazing events with marketplace-like stands every so often, around once a month. They're usually cultural and authentic and offer live music or shows. For example, today was the Fiesta de la Luna (of the chinese community) and there were lots of food stands with authentic chinese and japanese food, commercial stands, and one kung fu or tai chi show after the other.

The La Plata Catedral is an expansive, neo-Gothic cathedral with a room for 7,000 people and an interesting museum on the construction of the building. The twin steeples were completed in 1999 and the design was inspired by medieval churches in Cologne and Amiens. The cathedral has fine stained-glass windows, gargoyles and polished granite floors which are accessible in the basement through an elevator ride.
Use the app available on your phone to learn about all the details inside of the Cathedral.

You don't expect this kind of architecture in South America and you definitely don't expect a Cathedral with this level of detail to be made of brick. The design was incredible and the history behind the building is unique as well. The interior is just as grand as the exterior and has a holy aura to it. Definitely worth stopping in for a minimum of 30 minutes. The stain glass alone is worth it

La Plata Cathedral is a Neo-Gothic construction that took over 100 years to finish. It was completed in 1997 when they added the needles. If it's a clear day, I personally recommend taking the full your with the elevator ride. You can actually see Rio de La Plata (La Plata River) and appreciate the disposition of streets and green spaces.

The picture doesn't do it an ounce of justice. What an incredible monument to God, to Mother Mary, to honor Mater Dolorosa, the sorrow she felt.
When I entered the cathedral I was owe struck, slack jawed and staring as I walked down the middle aisle, The arched ceiling so high I had to raise my head and lift my eyes heavenward, like the stars above the impossible pillars and glass murals stir humility in the heart, giving a fractional glimpse of the infinite sublime. I wonder how many people it has inspired, igniting dormant faith.

The Pasaje Dardo Rocha cultural center, situated in a former 19th-century railway station, offers a diverse range of artistic and cultural experiences. The building is recognized as an Argentinian Heritage site and features art exhibits, films, theater performances, and convention spaces. A notable feature is the impressive sculptures showcased in the great hall. In addition to being a beautiful venue for events and exhibitions, the center also offers year-round workshops that cover various topics.

Built in 1953 for Pedro Curutchet, an Argentine surgeon, it is one of only two structures built by Le Corbusier in the Americas. The house exemplifies Le Corbusier's five points of architecture and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The Curutchet house is part of UNESCO world heritage program. This house is the only proyect from Le Corbusier y Latín América and is a perfect example of his architecture manifest. This house is eclectic, between modern architecture and brutalism, it is located in the middle of 2 pre existing houses and it articulate their facades. The house has lots of sensitive details that make it unique, and its really incredible the level of coherence achieved even when Le Corbusier designed it from the distance only with sheets and photos from the site. This house is real because of the good relationship and collaboration between the local architect Amancio Williams, another architecture master, that take care of adjusting, and fine tuning the project while building it. He was LC's eyes on Argentina and everything was resolved overseas by letters in a back and forth analog communication. This is a masterpiece, organically resolved and masterly design from conjunction of LC's mastermind and Williams's precise harmony with his ideas.
Luis Picarelli — Google review
It's very different kind of tourist place. Entry fee is little costly that too sometimes without receipts. But the creativity is amazing by considering the time of design.

Recreate your inner child at República de los Niños, an indoor and outdoor park in Argentina that boasts 35 miniature buildings. Catering specifically to children, the park features a train station and firehouse among other kid-sized structures. However, arriving early is recommended as the single entrance can become quite congested. Despite some buildings needing restoration, visitors are surrounded by nature in a magical setting with charming little palaces. The park also offers rides, dining options and sometimes performances for added entertainment.

It has a beautiful and enormous park to walk and rest under the trees! The buildings create an enchanting atmosphere, but I wish they were better taken care of; the whole place is such a relic! Also, most of the attractions have to be paid in cash, which I think should have an option to be paid by card. This summer (2024) has been excruciating with the mosquitoes invasion, so it made the experience quite unenjoyable. I haven't asked about food, so I don't really know if there are veggie options or gluten free options.

The surrounding area of the stadium is very picturesque, with the full "La Boca" flavor. The stadium is impressive, a vertical wall towering just off the sidewalk in a narrow street. Parking anyone? That's the issue... Some dudes on the street "manage" the parallel parking space and want to charge you up to 1000 pesos to "look after your car" (translate: don't pay and risk finding your car not in the same condition...) Thus, recommended public transport or parking a few blocks away. Another disappointment was going to the stadium store to buy a Boca Juniors jersey and they didn't have in stock the official blue and yellow one.

Widely known as La Bombonera due to its shape, with a "flat" stand on one side of the pitch and three steep stands round the rest of the stadium. The stadium is owned by Boca Juniors, one of Argentina's top football clubs. The unusual shape of the stadium has led to it having excellent acoustics and the Boca support being nicknamed "La Doce". The pitch at La Bombonera is the minimum size required under FIFA regulations – 105m × 68m.
The stadium is widely regarded as one of the most emblematic stadiums of the world, and has been declared of public interest by the Government of Buenos Aires autonomous city.
The stadium, as well as being the home of Boca Juniors, who have over 16 million fans (the highest in Argentina), is also used as a concert venue. Past performers at La Bombonera have included Lenny Kravitz, Elton John, James Blunt, the Bee Gees, and the Backstreet Boys.

If you have the opportunity to visit Buenos Aires, you should certainly go to a Boca Juniors game in La Bombonera (Estadio Alberto J. Armando). The stadium was opened in 1940 and has capacity for 54.000 spectators. The atmosphere is simply amazing when Boca Juniors play at home. We book with a tour (including bus transport and match tickets). Even though it was quite expensive (more than USD 100), it was certainly worth it. For safety reasons, it is recommended to book with a tour (as the area around the stadium can be dangerous, especially at night).

We visited the stadium which has a museum inside, but there is an entrance fee which we didn't feel was worth it. The street in front of the stadium is lined with quaint souvenir shops, which are over commercialized there are replicas of trophies, antique cars, life-sizes posters of Maradona and Messi, all requiring a fee to take puctures with. Seen it - basta

La Boca, situated in a working-class area close to the Riachuelo River, boasts a plethora of attractions. Caminito, a narrow alley surrounded by brightly painted zinc shacks that pay homage to the district's early immigrant days, is surrounded by steakhouses and street artists. La Bombonera, home ground of the Boca Juniors soccer team and known for its raucous atmosphere on match days, is nearby.

Buenos Aires, Argentina
I'll never travel to Colonia del Sacramento without this trip planner again
Puerto Madero is an upmarket area in Buenos Aires that was once a dockside. It has undergone redevelopment and now boasts sleek skyscrapers housing multinational corporations, high-value apartments, and converted redbrick buildings containing upscale steakhouses popular with tourists and business people. The Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve offers wildlife enthusiasts trails around several lakes while Puente de la Mujer, a graceful suspension bridge spans the docks.
The Casa Rosada is the presidential palace in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located at 9 de Julio Avenue, and has been the residence of successive Argentine presidents since it was built in 1876. The pink palace is open to the public for guided tours on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 2:30pm.
Absolutely gorgeous building and the entire park was awesome - a must see

It's easy to see why it is called the Casa Rosada (Pink House) because it is definitely a pink hue. We viewed the Balcony that was used for Evita's speech and also used in the Movie Evita. Of interest was the disgruntlement of the Argentine people at the role of Evita not being cast with an Argentine actress. Beautiful buidling.
Graham Tranter — Google review
Also know as the Pink House, this government building house is the President's workplace. If you see there's a second Argentinian flag pulled up, means he is in the office today! He apparently lives 16 km away in a home, typically transported via helicopter.
Interesting facts here about the Pink House include:
1. It was built in 3 periods, from left-to-right, that's why the measurements aren't all symmetrical
2. The right side of the building has been removed to make way for the scenic view of the river a while back
3. The pink color was in fashion back then if they wanted to stand out from the white buildings. White buildings often have a limestone wash. To make it pink, they would mix that with cow blood from nearby farms. Today that wouldn't fly because the vegans and vegetarians would probably protest 😂 so it's just normal paint today!

Very cool house in Buenos Aires. Well protected by local police. Worth a walk to and take a few pictures.

A beautiful building, particularly at night - right in the centre of Buenos Aires.
It was not possible to see inside whilst we were there, but it must be equally fantastic inside.
We did witness many demonstrations outside, concerning the many 'missing people' in Argentina. The plaza outside the pink palace (as it's commonly known) is the location for most such demonstrations.

The office of the president of Argentina, a national historic monument. Completed in 1898.
You can catch a wonderful photo opportunity during the lowering of the national flag ceremony. At that time the national guards in the traditional uniforms march out of the palace. The flag is being lowered accompanied by the horn played by one of the guardsmen. The others stand guard saluting with their sabers.
Another great opportunity is at night when the palace is beautifully lit and there's nobody around.
Don't miss.

The Cathedral of Buenos Aires is a beautiful church with an interesting exterior facade. It's filled with precious and beautiful artefacts, including the tomb of General San Martín. It's located in Plaza de Mayo, one of the citys most popular tourist spots.
In itself, this cathedral is impressive and definitely worth seeing. And, one should note the important history behind its construction. But, more so, this is the church that current Pope used to preside in. There is also a bunch to see and do in the area. There are a number of great parks, local art, fountains, restaurants and shopping.

It was fantastic to be in the place where Pope Francisco used to be at! Also lovely to the Our Lady Aparecida from Brazil in there!
Gorgeous!

The Cathedral of Buenos Aires is an absolute highlight.
It is the headquarters of the Catholic Church in Argentina and includes the Mausoleum of San Martin. Inside there are four beautiful organs that are still functional. What is striking is the wonderful mosaic floor that runs through the entire church.
I found the warm colors particularly beautiful. Pope Francis was archbishop here before he became pope.
The church invites you to linger.

Beautiful church. Mass is 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM on Sunday. Nice part of town. Only thing I wish they would do better is keeping tourists out during mass. Plenty of people standing up in front of the altar taking selfies during mass and being disrespectful.

If you're into Catholic churches, you'll love it as it's full of idols everywhere. The architecture is very impressive. It did nothing for me personally but I can see its appeal to the general Argentinian population.

The iconic Obelisco monument, erected in 1936, is a popular meeting place in Buenos Aires. The monument dominates the city skyline for pedestrians and motorists on Avenida Nueve de Julio, Avenida Corrientes and Diagonal Norte.
Beautiful popular landmark in the heart of the city. Nice little park great for iconic photos and the perfect meeting spot. So much to do nearby, with restaurants, cafe, stores, souvenir shops, theatres, cinemas. A must visit on any trip to Buenos Aires. Avenida Corrientes in particular had a great vibe at nights with lots of people just walking the streets

Beautiful landmark and with the visit. There are a lot of people taking pictures so be patient and forgiving in that the grounds and landscaping is constantly being trampled. Take pictures farther away near the bushes as it looks better.

This moment in the heart of Buenos Aires is one you don't want to miss. It is a beautiful structure both in day and night. Looks epic and nice but it doesn’t fit the area as it’s surrounded by emptiness near the obelisk and busy roads with cars. If they added more greenery I think it would look more beautiful and inspirational as the roads around it don’t create much atmosphere

Iconic statue of Buenos Aires, easy to reach with public transport. There is a huge space to make easy pictures. During the day, it will be bright. During the night it is alluminated. The square surrounding the obelisko is very busy, with shops, restaurants, tourists shops. Also there are the green, plantmade, letters BA.

The Obelisco, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is one of the city's most iconic landmarks. It's a towering monument that stands in the heart of the city at the intersection of Avenida 9 de Julio and Avenida Corrientes. This impressive obelisk was built in 1936 to commemorate the city's 400th anniversary.
The Obelisco is a symbol of Buenos Aires and serves as a focal point for celebrations, gatherings, and events. Visitors can also take an elevator to the top for panoramic views of Buenos Aires, offering a unique perspective of this vibrant metropolis.

The Teatro Colón is an opera house in Buenos Aires that is widely considered to have some of the world's best acoustics. The refurbishment of 2006-2010 added new seating and features, such as a massive chandelier with 700 light bulbs. The theater is significant for its association with the city's cultural life, and frequently hosts classical music, operas, ballets, and tours.
Magnificent architecture and the best acoustics in the continent. Best events are operas and symphonics. The decor is gorgeous and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Must go place, beautiful inside and out.

This is an awesome Opera House and Ballet Theatre, ranked among the finest in the world. The great hall has perfect acoustic. The history of how it was built, taking 16 years and under the leadership of 3 architects, was most intriguing. Marbles of specific colours for various parts of the main entrance, stairs, railings, walls, etc., were imported from different countries in Europe. Beautiful painted ceilings and chandeliers helped to showcase the grandeur of the opera house. It is clearly an iconic landmark of Buenos Aires and worth seeing for any visitor to this city.

Arrive in good time to join your guided group and remember no food or drinks permitted inside. They have a restaurant on site so you can make purchases there.

Breathtaking. Magnificent. Wonderful. Astonishing. Stunning Incredible.
I'm getting out of compliments for this place because it's simply fabulous! The architecture is mind-blowing and the acoustic is pretty awesome. They even have kinda like a bar area where you can order wine, whisky, champagne, beverages and they even sell alfajores and sandwiches. You can also book a table.
If you are visiting Buenos Aires then you MUST visit this theatre. Buy your tickets at least one week in advance, the locals are passionate about their culture and the tickets tend to sold out relatively fast, so expect to see this theatre completely full.
The whole experience was magical and beautiful, I'm sure you'll love every single second of your time here.

Wonderful tour of the opera house. Truly a stunning building and a must-do in the city. However, cost of guided tour for only 1 hour was very high especially for non-locals (2000 pesos more than for local residents). As revealed on the tour, this doesn’t seem in line with the cost of the performance tickets, which apparently start from as little as 1-2usd.

This place was stunningly beautiful; it's absolutely not to be missed. When we booked tickets, the woman said apologetically that the lights may not be on in the main hall - which was indeed the case, but was even better because we were able to see a bit of a dress rehearsal. I wish our stay in Argentina had been long enough to buy tickets to a performance.
A word about the online booking system: when we searched online, it showed no English tours available, but when we stopped by in person, there were still spaces. So if you find yourself in the same position where the website indicates no English tours, go in person to book instead.

The Recoletta Cemetery is a large and very ornate cemetery located in the Recoleta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is famous for the many prominent graves including that of Eva Perón, several former presidents, and writers Adolfo Bioy Casares, Victoria Ocampo, and Oliverio Girondo. The cemetery is labyrinthine and full of statues and elaborate architecture.
A very impressive cemetery. Our guide told us this holds over 4000 mausoleums. There was a lot of interesting statuary. Of interest, I thought, was that many of the mausoleums had stained glass windows facing inwards, spiritually so that the light of god can shine upon the departed. It would be well worth planning the time to just wander the many many rows of mausoleums. Some of the carvings are exquisite.

Beautiful architecture and many of the most renowned politicians and high society names can be found here, including Evita's grave. I wasn’t quite sure what we were going to do in this cemetery, but we ended up whiling away a nice hour or so in the evening light, wandering around and peering into tombs, finding beautiful little details here and there. It would’ve been v atmospheric to go down into a crypt, and the slightly random signs seemed to say this is / was possible at some point, but they were closed when we were there. Good for a ramble!

Really a beautiful and interesting place. In my travels, I never thought I’d visit a cemetery as part of my itinerary, but you can’t miss going here! So many amazing dedications, it’s almost like an outdoor modern art museum. I give it 4/5 stars because some of these poor glass entrances have been broken and one casket was busted - I didn’t look inside 🙄 but someone with a tiny bit of morbid curiosity might actually be able to see a corpse….also, the walkway could use some attention, loose tiles - more of an annoyance for me, but could compromise someone who needs assistance walking. Overall, I enjoyed my visit! Highly recommend!

5090 ars in February 2024. You have to pay by card. With the money and the amount of people coming you would expect the place to be well looked after. I didn't like that there are some tombs that are full of garbage and junks. In some (at least two places) you can smell the rotten bodies.

Well-maintained, gorgeous cemetery filled with incredibly beautiful graves that are more akin to mausoleums. Definitely one of the largest and most interesting cemeteries that exist. Wasn't that crowded on a weekday, and was very convenient to buy the tickets after we arrived.
This is one of the most important Buenos Aires landmarks and is the resting place of Eva Peron (Evita). Walk through this literal maze of Argentina’s history, a combination of mausoleums and crypts in which the nation’s nobility and past presidents have been laid to rest. It’s an incredible historical site, and you can enjoy the many fascinating anecdotes about the people who have been buried here.
The most sought after grave is Evita’s. She’s buried with her family so you’ll see her family’s tomb under the name Duarte. It’s on a narrow passageway but once you know where you’re going it’s easy to find, thanks to the crowds and walking tours that typically visit her.

The grounds are well kept. The entrance line can take a while at times, but after that u are free to roam around. Definitely a place you should check out. I believe entry is like $3 or $4 to enter. They also provide tours at different times throughout the day!

Beautiful cemetery. Not much else to say besides, just go. Worth the visit.
Careful when buying, they do not accept cash of any kind, keep a Visa and Mastercard in hand, you might need to ask someone to buy tickets for you.
Maps are free, and just in case get a tour guide, there are just too many stories about many tombs, most are very interesting.

Recoleta is an affluent district that boasts of luxurious former palaces, Parisian-style townhouses and high-end boutiques. One of the main attractions in Recoleta is its extravagant cemetery where national icons like Eva Perón rest. The area also offers a range of cultural activities such as the National Museum of Fine Arts, Recoleta Cultural Center and Plaza Francia's handicrafts market.
The Serrano street in central Madrid is known for its hip bars, restaurants and open-air, weekend market. It is a buzzing street with a unique bohemian feel.
Nice place for walking around and beautiful craft market with interesting items

I quite like the lightbulb art and the matchstick man here... Plenty of cafes but I prefer the burrito, taco place around the corner on Serrano street

The National Museum of Fine Arts is Latin America's largest and most important museum of art. The museum has a vast collection of paintings, sculpture, and other works from around the world, as well as an extensive collection of European impressionist paintings. For those interested in Argentine art history and its connection to the rest of the world, a guided tour is a must-do.
A free museum with a lot of interesting pieces of art. Big influences from French artists and a room dedicated too Rodin, I wasn't expecting it but it's very nice. Ground floor is dedicated to impressionism and traditional arts, 1st floor to modern and contemporary arts.

Maybe 3.5. No climate control. Good selection of work, categorized by time periods. Early work on the ground floor to modern and upstairs more contemporary. Free, but you should make a reservation. The lady in the front was nice enough to allow us to go in no problem but make a reservation for the future.

The art Museum is free and has a large variety of paintings, sculptures and impressionists works. To included a few pictures but check out the other reviews as well.
This is a great stop for tourists because there are many landmarks around this area of Buenos Aires, all within an easy walk, even if you have small children.
In the Metro line comes right past this art museum just to the north across the walking bridge. Look for the yellow Metro sign.

Free admission. Most enjoyable viewing European collections. My Google translation app did a pretty good job of translating the info posted on walls in various rooms. Stayed about 2,5 hours. It was a little hard to get a cab outside the museum but walked to the corner and got one quickly. Many Impressionists and other fine painters. Good section on Rodin. Had another more modern 2nd floor that we skipped due to my knee and back pain. Open till 8pm.

Excellent. Modern. Very similar to Museo del Prado, in Spain. You need to confirm your entrance by filling a form. Very easy. Its free! Very recommended.

I had absolutely no interest in seeing this museum as I am not into art. We were in the area and with the free entry we had nothing to lose. It ended up being a highlight of our two week trip to BA. Even if you know very little about art, this museum has pieces from the most famous of artisys. Van Gogh, Picasso, Goya, Monet as well as MANY others. There is something for everyone to appreciate here
Paige Allen — Google review
A beautiful museum with a perfect mixture of international and local pieces. Entrance is free so everyone who visits Buenos Aires should plan a visit to the Museum and experience the exhibits.

Open late! Cool building.c great variety, big names here but not much more impressive than a European centre. Recommend this place over all others in BA even if you’re only slightly interested.

Amazing fine arts museum with no admission fee. Art and artifacts from across several eras is on display for your enjoyment and contemplation.

I'm always down with visiting a museum or cultural center of a foreign country. It's fun to see the influences, styles, and a little history of the country and how it came to be.
This museum has a nice big name collection along with South American artists. It's not the biggest museum but it is pretty wide ranging.
I caught a few degas', monet, Rembrandt, rodins', and numerous Renaissance figure compositions that focused on light and linear perspectives. It's a nice change of pace than chasing the next tourist attraction.

Excellent museum! Fantastic exhibitions!
I went on a Sunday and it was open! Free of charge to enter!
It was great to have an option of such an amazing place to visit on the weekend!
Strongly recommend it!

Wonderful museum featuring Monet, Van Gogh, Gaugin and many others. Admission is FREE! Definitely worth spending an afternoon getting lost amongst the art.

Free entrance. Very nice collection of art, artifacts, and sculptures, some pieces from recognizable artists (Rodin, Degas, Manet, Picasso). Clean, well maintained grounds and facilities. Not too large, was able to walk all floors and view art in a day with plenty of time to see other sites. Recoleta cemetery is only a 10 min walk away from this museum.

Only the lobby area was open today. I’m not sure why? A gorgeous massive building. It’s a shame that I couldn’t experience more of it. 😫

A house full of masterpieces in a beautiful park with free entrance, what could go wrong? Surprised to find halls full of very impressive Dutch masters while the Argentinian works gave an insight to the national spirit, nature and struggles. Do not miss it!

Pretty good museum, with beautiful cultures, and works from Goya. Also contains nascent, Ian artist and more modernist works, together with donations from wealthy families, some of them of great calibre. A worthwhile visit if you have got the time in Buenos Aires..

This was among my three favorite museums in the city! The quality of significant European artists in the permanent collection is astounding. The exhibits of Argentine artists were phenomenal, and the accompanying text on the walls was highly informative. The small but significant exhibit of pre-Colombian artifacts impressed me greatly. Definitely give yourself enough time to make it through everything that appeals to you. It took me significantly longer to get through the whole museum than I thought it would, and I went very quickly through several of the styles and time periods as they are not my favorite.

The Malba Museum showcases contemporary and ancient Latin American art. It is located in Palermo, a neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Really enjoyed this experience! I believe it was around 750 pesos, they give student discounts with valid ID. They provide a bag check as you can’t take in your backpack and have 2 cafes you can recharge before or after. They had 3 floors and it was nice because it was quick, they didn’t try to extend the stay with empty exhibits where you could have done it in shorter time. We spent about 45 min and it wasn’t crowded at all.

3 star be ause my son likes the exhibits. For me, definitely not worth 1 hour walking over. It's nice to have English caption and staff are very friendly. Tickets only cost $1.5 for two people.
Only showed the collection of one couple's abstract art works. More people are eating at the Cafe than touring the exhibit. Lots of construction and noisy.
The giant wood chair outside is actually very breathtaking!

MALBA
this is a lovely museum that is in a beautiful section of Recoleta and easy to digest in a morning or afternoon. The collection is quite interesting with some excellent works by Argentine and other Latin American artists. There is a nice café on the second floor with a spacious outdoor terrace and a small restaurant downstairs, more like a cafeteria, also with outdoor seating at street level. We had a great visit. This museum is highly recommended.

Rainy day so waited a good while in line to buy a ticket. Museum was busy but didn’t feel crowded. Size and variety of art was nice. Cute gift shop and cafe. Great rainy day activity- then just a few blocks away is a big mall…

Great space and exhibitions. Only had an hour but it was enough to glance at everything. Another hour would be better. There’s three floors. Bottom has gift shop and restaurant, two floors above w exhibitions. One above also has a cafe. I loved the trans photo show that highlighted one photographer from each South American country from the last 70 years. There was another room of contemporary art, social concerns, paintings, video, sculpture. Top room showcasing a classic Argentine artist (name?!) from 1920s cubist. Great medium sized museum. Go!
jennifer chen — Google review
Nice museum although it sounds and looks more promising from the outside than what it really has to offer on the inside. I was a bit disappointed with the audio guide. I'm sure the artists have clearly thought more about the design of their art than what is reproduced on the small signs and the short audio tracks. This makes it one of those museums that you walk through relatively quickly without feeling a real wow effect.
However, the café with a solid selection of cakes, delicious coffee and a great rooftop terrace, as well as the museum store were great.

Have lunch at Nininas and then tour the Malba. There is no better way to spend the afternoon!!! Amazing art beautifully presented. Classics from so many well know South American artists and then new and funky works from artists you need to be hearing about!!

We visited on a Wednesday because the tickets are half price. It was well worth it, with lots of cool art. On the top floor has fun and different art including a movie set.

My museum experience was truly impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the new art exhibition. The collection on display was captivating, and the curation was top-notch. I found myself immersed in the world of art, and it left a lasting impression on me. If you're an art enthusiast, I highly recommend visiting this museum and exploring their fantastic exhibitions.
Must visit, if you have time in Buenos Aires

If you are an art enthusiast, I think it's worth a visit. However for me, I do not really understand the modern art that were displayed there, so we did not stay there for long and just looked through the artworks. Entrant fee was quite cheap, ARS3000 per pax, for my family of four, we paid ARS12000. One great thing is that you need to store your bags before entering, which I think is very convenient.
