There are lots of people with kids.
Children looked happy shows were a bit too long
Animals that are not in liberty of wild but in closed space not nice
Soane Dimlira — Google review
Watch my videos and judge for yourself. Don’t give any of these animal prisons your money. This is cruel to these majestic and intelligent animals.
Nidia Leiva — Google review
Tiny, disgusting pools. This place does bot take care of animals, but rather stores them away in little tanks like props for their shows. Whoever is running and owns this place should feel ashamed.
Joey Fox — Google review
It's like the Sea World of San Antonio but much smaller. The shows last no more than 20 minutes, which is good and there are not so many people (we went in January). The farm where you can feed the animals and the safari are the best. At least for me I already saw several dolphin and whale shows.
FiestaDeportivaOK — Google review
The biggest ocean theme park in south america.
They have an orca supposedly rescued as a youngling who couldn't be reunited with his family. Incredible to see. Same goes with several dolphins in site.
If possible, visit during low season. Summer weather can be tough with small kids.
Also, for the scheduled shows, sometimes you have to form a half-hour line under the sun before they will let you in. Understandable, but could be done better.
All in all, a great place to visit and a life-changing day for most kids.
Tomas Dillon — Google review
The orca lives in terrible conditions. No wonder why so many of them have died here in the recent past. There is no way the pond-sized pool is large enough for an orca that swims a hundred miles a day in the wild. It’s like being stuck in your bedroom with nothing to entertain you while living in pure isolation forever. Stop paying to see the misery, abuse, and exploitation of animals!
Emily Olson — Google review
No cetacean should be in captivity 😢💔
They need to be wild and free with their families to swim in the ocean and forage for food.
We love you Kshamenk.. I’m so sorry. You deserve so much better
Nicole — Google review
The animals are living in pools which aren’t big enough and well prepared for them. All you can see is animals suffering . I don’t recommend visiting places like this, because it promotes and supports animal cruelty. Awful.
Paweł Krysiak — Google review
Absolutely disgusting. People who support these kind of people and this kind of establishment have a special seat reserved in hell. We need to do better and stop supporting businesses that torture their animals.
Jessica Ginter — Google review
Wonderful place. Amazing shows with dolphins, sea lions and multiple animals to create conscious on people about taking care animals.

ANIMAL ABUSE !!! Kshamenk (35 year old Orca) is unwell and need immediate help.
Cait Johns — Google review
Do NOT support this facility. If you do - you are supporting animal cruelty and animal abuse. Please bring awareness to this and please free these animals. This is so disgusting to see. Anyone who works at this facility and funds it should be ashamed of themselves. This is INHUMANE and should be ILLEGAL! Boycott this place. Spread the word. Make your voices heard for the sake of these poor animals who can’t speak for themselves but instead suffer quietly for years 💔 💔💔🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Marialaina Marquina — Google review
This place must be closed due to animal abuse. If you’d like to teach your kids to be kind, generous, avoid this place, DO NOT buy tickets. Go and see beautiful creations in wild, not dying in the dirty tank.
Anya Vien — Google review
I always wonder what for a sadistic parent would bring their kid to a place like this. Lord knows people are too ashamed to post photos of themselves on their social media. There is too much information at had in 2023, if you are looking this place up to attend you should likely be ashamed of yourself in many facets of your life.
Brooke Olejnik — Google review
If I could give zero stars I would! Free Kshamenk! His tank is small, filthy and deplorable! He belongs in a whale sanctuary so that he can live out the rest of his life in peace. This is animal cruelty and torture. Anyone that visits this place is condoning the abuse and torture of this beautiful, majestic marine mammal. #EMPTYTHETANKS #FREEKSHAMENK
Tenea Starks — Google review
Ignorance is one thing, but to knowingly imprison such intelligent creatures to a life of captivity under these living conditions is as cruel as it gets . Do not support this facility , do not support acts of cruelty against orcas , DO NOT BUY TICKETS #freekshamenk #emptythetanks
Austin L — Google review
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. If you do, you are supporting an inhumane facility that supports animal abuse. This is absolutely disgusting. This facility should absolutely be shut down for the horrific conditions.

(Translated by Google) The park is beautiful and has various activities, it seems like a good walk to me... but it still seems to me that the organization, information and also guidance from the staff needs to be improved. I called previously to inquire about the activities with the intention of doing a horseback ride and they had told me that they had availability for the entire day, but when I arrived at the park they told me that there were no more spots left and that this usually happens because there is a lot of demand. The restaurant food seemed pretty average to me.

The La Plata Catedral is an expansive, neo-Gothic cathedral with a room for 7,000 people and an interesting museum on the construction of the building. The twin steeples were completed in 1999 and the design was inspired by medieval churches in Cologne and Amiens. The cathedral has fine stained-glass windows, gargoyles and polished granite floors which are accessible in the basement through an elevator ride.
Use the app available on your phone to learn about all the details inside of the Cathedral.

Very beautiful church - really huge and located in a nice area of La Plata.
Visitors should definitely add this as number 1 priority if they are visiting the city.
Both the internal and external areas are incredible and the church js located jn a very nice area, with a park and lots of people.

such a historical and beautiful place to visit. I highly recommend to go into the museum and to use the elevator that shows you such a great view from the top of the catedral

Such a beautiful church. La Plata is like a hidden gem!! So happy to have done the day trip
Stacey Gibby — Google review
You don't expect this kind of architecture in South America and you definitely don't expect a Cathedral with this level of detail to be made of brick. The design was incredible and the history behind the building is unique as well. The interior is just as grand as the exterior and has a holy aura to it. Definitely worth stopping in for a minimum of 30 minutes. The stain glass alone is worth it
Alyx Falis — Google review
La Plata Cathedral is a Neo-Gothic construction that took over 100 years to finish. It was completed in 1997 when they added the needles. If it's a clear day, I personally recommend taking the full your with the elevator ride. You can actually see Rio de La Plata (La Plata River) and appreciate the disposition of streets and green spaces.
Lia M. Albrecht — Google review
The picture doesn't do it an ounce of justice. What an incredible monument to God, to Mother Mary, to honor Mater Dolorosa, the sorrow she felt.
When I entered the cathedral I was owe struck, slack jawed and staring as I walked down the middle aisle, The arched ceiling so high I had to raise my head and lift my eyes heavenward, like the stars above the impossible pillars and glass murals stir humility in the heart, giving a fractional glimpse of the infinite sublime. I wonder how many people it has inspired, igniting dormant faith.

(Translated by Google) When visiting the Street of Sighs in Colonia del Sacramento, it is advisable to wear appropriate footwear due to the cobblestones of the place. Since the ground is covered in old cobblestones, it can be somewhat uneven and slippery in some areas, increasing the risk of tripping or falling. Therefore, it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes with good traction to safely enjoy this picturesque historical corner of the city."
In addition to its colonial imprint, it is worth highlighting the history and myths about said street, a magical and super photographable place.

The lighthouse in Colonia del Sacramento, dating back to the 1850s, offers a chance to explore its historical significance. With a staircase leading to the top and informative displays, it provides visitors with insights into the city's colonial past. In addition to the lighthouse, tourists can enjoy exploring seven other museums in Colonia. These museums showcase the rich history of Portuguese naval expeditions through exhibits of jewelry, uniforms, and old maps.
Nice old colonial town, there are a lot of bars and restaurants, you can climb the lighthouse, walk the original streets and spend easily half a day waiting perhaps for the ferry to Buenos Aires. The old town is situated just a few blocks away from the ferry and bus terminal.

Here you can back to past to 1920, because on the streets are a lot of old car which inside have table to keep the coffe. Awesome

I went to visit Colonia for the afternoon so I could renew my 90-day Visa for Argentina. Booking a round trip on Buquebus was very easy to get to Colonia. Yes, Uruguay is more expensive than Buenos Aires! However, you can still pay with Argentine pesos in Colonia and DO NOT NEED to convert your pesos. The price on the check at the restaurant I ate at worked out to be the same no matter how you paid.
Colonia is very old and a great place to walk around for a few hours and learn about the history of this city. There are a lot of places to eat and also to buy souvenirs. It does not take more than a 2 or 3hrs to casually walk around to see the historic parts. They have done a great job at preserving it!
Justin Thompson — Google review
It's a good place to sea the light house from top and it has an amazing view.
They charge 35 uyu pesos ticket for lighthouse .
Nitesh Vishwakarma — Google review
Great all round views from the top of this lighthouse. There are two levels, if you chose to go upto the second top level, make sure you have a good head for heights. It's a narrow tight staircase and little space to move around at the top. Additionally the railing around the top barely reached waist level for me. It would be all to easy to lose your balance if you lent over too far and fall. Keep back from the edge. Great views out to sea and across the old town. You can pay the small entrance fee in either Argentine or Uruguay Pesos.
Miles Macdonald — Google review
À beautiful historic town to visit!
Nancy W. — Google review
One of the must go places when you are visiting Colonia Del Sacramento. The light house in itself is very beautiful with a different design, most of the lighthouses are cylindrical in shape but this one is rectangular at the bottom and cylindrical at the top. We have to pay a nominal amount to go inside around 30-50 peso per person and they will allow very few people at a time . You will be allowed to go to the top rectangular part of the lighthouse first and then after sometime they will let you go to the topmost part and the view from there is breathtaking . You can see the whole Colonia from top of the light House .
Kanchan Rawat — Google review

It has undergone redevelopment and now boasts sleek skyscrapers housing multinational corporations, high-value apartments, and converted redbrick buildings containing upscale steakhouses popular with tourists and business people. The Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve offers wildlife enthusiasts trails around several lakes while Puente de la Mujer, a graceful suspension bridge spans the docks.
The Teatro Colón is an opera house in Buenos Aires that is widely considered to have some of the world's best acoustics. The refurbishment of 2006-2010 added new seating and features, such as a massive chandelier with 700 light bulbs. The theater is significant for its association with the city's cultural life, and frequently hosts classical music, operas, ballets, and tours.
Magnificent architecture and the best acoustics in the continent. Best events are operas and symphonics. The decor is gorgeous and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Must go place, beautiful inside and out.

This is an awesome Opera House and Ballet Theatre, ranked among the finest in the world. The great hall has perfect acoustic. The history of how it was built, taking 16 years and under the leadership of 3 architects, was most intriguing. Marbles of specific colours for various parts of the main entrance, stairs, railings, walls, etc., were imported from different countries in Europe. Beautiful painted ceilings and chandeliers helped to showcase the grandeur of the opera house. It is clearly an iconic landmark of Buenos Aires and worth seeing for any visitor to this city.

My partner speaks Spanish & had Argentina passport so he got the best price tickets for 2. Despite I don’t understand Spanish in this tour, I still enjoy this theater tour guide & its magnificent structure. We also sat inside Box while watching the rehearsal for couple minutes. Definitely highly recommended especially if u love to watch shows & opera.

Absolutely beautiful. Purchase your ticket online to make things quicker and easier. Tours are guided only with groups of up to 20 or 30 people depending on how busy it is.
Guides are very knowledgeable and give in-depth detail explanations on history and other facts of the building.
Walking through it feels amazing, especially admiring the beautiful works of architecture.
Arrive in good time to join your guided group and remember no food or drinks permitted inside. They have a restaurant on site so you can make purchases there.

Really just the most beautiful.
I am biased since I practically live in the theatre but still, every time I walk onto the stage, its immense beauty never fails to overwhelm me. This place is truly magical.

Breathtaking. Magnificent. Wonderful. Astonishing. Stunning Incredible.
I'm getting out of compliments for this place because it's simply fabulous! The architecture is mind-blowing and the acoustic is pretty awesome. They even have kinda like a bar area where you can order wine, whisky, champagne, beverages and they even sell alfajores and sandwiches. You can also book a table.
If you are visiting Buenos Aires then you MUST visit this theatre. Buy your tickets at least one week in advance, the locals are passionate about their culture and the tickets tend to sold out relatively fast, so expect to see this theatre completely full.
The whole experience was magical and beautiful, I'm sure you'll love every single second of your time here.

A wonderful temple of art for all people.
The beauty of the building and the wonderful sound create a magical atmosphere of perfection. One can only enjoy being here.
The buildings and interior decoration are just as beautiful as it is pleasant to see people who have come here. These people want to join the great classics and I am pleased to be with them.
Thank you!

The tour was nice, but there was no information given that couldn’t have been read before hand.
The price of the tour is ridiculous at 18000 Pesos. Just buy a ticket for a standing place wich is 5600 Pesos per person and you can see everything that is included in the tour.

Very beautiful! It’s worth seeing and learning about the history! Our tour guide was very nice and informative. We even got to see an audition for opera so that was really cool to be able to see in the theater itself.
Neha Luthra — Google review
Wonderful tour of the opera house. Truly a stunning building and a must-do in the city. However, cost of guided tour for only 1 hour was very high especially for non-locals (2000 pesos more than for local residents). As revealed on the tour, this doesn’t seem in line with the cost of the performance tickets, which apparently start from as little as 1-2usd.

The guide tour of theater Colon is fun and highly recommended even if the lights are being tested. We enjoyed the tour so much we came back to attend a ballet. We had parterre center seats. We highly recommend attending a shoe in this beautiful place with a great local
Orchestra and fantastic acoustic. It is one of the best things to do in BA.

My favourite opera in the world! Excellent acoustic. The experience is unique. The Argentinian audience is so grateful after each opera. Last time with Anna Netrebecko, the ovation lasted more than five minutes. You can do the tourists visit. It could be difficult to get tickets, but not impossible. You can try the same day.

Amazing to see and an excellent guided tour. Can strongly recommend visiting for the tour, you may want to book online (very easy process) to ensure you get into one of the English tours (if you're an English speaker).
The architecture and history of the building was very interesting and it was all very impressive.

A wonderful opera theatre. Very European and magnificent. The tour was very informative and friendly. The tour guide allowed us reasonable time to look around take photos. Well worth a visit. We enjoyed it.

This place was stunningly beautiful; it's absolutely not to be missed. When we booked tickets, the woman said apologetically that the lights may not be on in the main hall - which was indeed the case, but was even better because we were able to see a bit of a dress rehearsal. I wish our stay in Argentina had been long enough to buy tickets to a performance.
A word about the online booking system: when we searched online, it showed no English tours available, but when we stopped by in person, there were still spaces. So if you find yourself in the same position where the website indicates no English tours, go in person to book instead.
Lina Nandy — Google review
It’s a beautiful opera house. It’s worth getting nice seats, however you can get last minute standing seats for 5000, and the view is amazing, you see the whole stage. A lot of opera houses in the world do this but it’s often restricted view, but not here.

The Recoletta Cemetery is a large and very ornate cemetery located in the Recoleta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is famous for the many prominent graves including that of Eva Perón, several former presidents, and writers Adolfo Bioy Casares, Victoria Ocampo, and Oliverio Girondo. The cemetery is labyrinthine and full of statues and elaborate architecture.
A very impressive cemetery. Our guide told us this holds over 4000 mausoleums. There was a lot of interesting statuary. Of interest, I thought, was that many of the mausoleums had stained glass windows facing inwards, spiritually so that the light of god can shine upon the departed. It would be well worth planning the time to just wander the many many rows of mausoleums. Some of the carvings are exquisite.
Graham Tranter — Google review
Beautiful architecture and many of the most renowned politicians and high society names can be found here, including Evita's grave. So many interesting statues , including a couple who requested to be looking in opposite directions. A lot of history, lots of money. Unfortunately, many of the graves are not properly taken care of. Still worth visiting.

Celebration of Death is a concept which differs from place to place, religion religion and culture to culture. But even when this occasion is celebrated, there can be no better place to do so that the Recoleta Cemetery, in Buenos Aires. It is not just a cemetery but a custodian of art and beauty. Was surprised that it is still used actively and I witnessed a funeral in progress. A few hours is needed to walk around this cemetery and every minute of that walk is memorable
Mazahir Rahim — Google review
Must see while in Buenos Aires, can get crowded especially around Eva Peron’s sarcophagus. Bring water as there is nothing inside to drink and can get very hot and covers a large area, lots of walking and lots of history but worth every step.
Skylined 10 — Google review
I wasn’t quite sure what we were going to do in this cemetery, but we ended up whiling away a nice hour or so in the evening light, wandering around and peering into tombs, finding beautiful little details here and there. It would’ve been v atmospheric to go down into a crypt, and the slightly random signs seemed to say this is / was possible at some point, but they were closed when we were there. Good for a ramble!
William Jessop — Google review
Beautiful cemetery full of magnificent mausoleums of various styles. Many prominent people including Eva Peron, several presidents and wealthy individuals buried here. Peaceful and humongous to walk around can easily get lost. Many visitors around, grounds are well kept and public toilets inside.

Absolutely great experience. Though we didn’t have a guide (which I am sure would make it much more interesting) we liked the beauty. It was smaller than I expected but each mausoleum was different and it was very interesting. Ticket for a foreigner cost around 12EUR.

Really a beautiful and interesting place. In my travels, I never thought I’d visit a cemetery as part of my itinerary, but you can’t miss going here! So many amazing dedications, it’s almost like an outdoor modern art museum. I give it 4/5 stars because some of these poor glass entrances have been broken and one casket was busted - I didn’t look inside 🙄 but someone with a tiny bit of morbid curiosity might actually be able to see a corpse….also, the walkway could use some attention, loose tiles - more of an annoyance for me, but could compromise someone who needs assistance walking. Overall, I enjoyed my visit! Highly recommend!
Michelle Sullivan — Google review
One of the world's most interesting and beautiful cemeteries, you are easily lost down the numerous paths. Grab and map and prepare to walk around a least an hour before finding Eva Peron's mausoleum. Buy tickets in advance to avoid a wait.
Saundra — Google review
A huge area of mausoleums worth walking around for an hour or so. There are tours in Spanish highlighting interesting stories about some people buried there and you may be able to find other language tours. I just walked around on my own and enjoyed the variety of tombs. The Evita tomb isn't specially marked but if you use Google maps or ask around, you should be able to find it.

Not too crowded and good for a pleasant walk. By far the largest cemetery I’ve been too with the most intriguing and creative mausoleum designs. Many are downright works of art. Museum worthy.
Gonzo Gonzalez — Google review
5090 ars in February 2024. You have to pay by card. With the money and the amount of people coming you would expect the place to be well looked after. I didn't like that there are some tombs that are full of garbage and junks. In some (at least two places) you can smell the rotten bodies.
It's an intriguing place to be, especially the older parts that are more interesting. Some famous people are buried here. A lot of tourists.
No name — Google review
Well-maintained, gorgeous cemetery filled with incredibly beautiful graves that are more akin to mausoleums. One can wander aimlessly and admire the effort and architecture of each one, but I would recommend joining one of their tours to truly understand the significance of prominent gravesites and people.
James — Google review
Definitely one of the largest and most interesting cemeteries that exist. Wasn't that crowded on a weekday, and was very convenient to buy the tickets after we arrived.
This is one of the most important Buenos Aires landmarks and is the resting place of Eva Peron (Evita). Walk through this literal maze of Argentina’s history, a combination of mausoleums and crypts in which the nation’s nobility and past presidents have been laid to rest. It’s an incredible historical site, and you can enjoy the many fascinating anecdotes about the people who have been buried here.
The most sought after grave is Evita’s. She’s buried with her family so you’ll see her family’s tomb under the name Duarte. It’s on a narrow passageway but once you know where you’re going it’s easy to find, thanks to the crowds and walking tours that typically visit her.
Dipanjan Das — Google review
This place was on our bucket list when we visited Buenos Aires and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's quite a wonder getting to see such wonderful craftsmanship in a cemetary, it feels like you're taking a stroll through a medieval village how they have the grave structures. The place is quite peaceful in general despite the large number of tourists that visited over the long weekend. Would certainly recommend a visit to this cemetery when you visit Buenos Aires
Sagnik Saha — Google review
This is a history-filled cemetery with elegant tombs and mausoleums. It is meticulously maintained and daily tours available in both Spanish, English, and sometimes other languages.
.
A Who's Who of families of Buenos Aires and other parts of Argentina are buried here. You could spend days earning about the history of some of these people.
It is well worth the time to visit the Cementerio de la Recoleta.
David Partridge — Google review
The grounds are well kept. The entrance line can take a while at times, but after that u are free to roam around. Definitely a place you should check out. I believe entry is like $3 or $4 to enter. They also provide tours at different times throughout the day!

Beautiful cemetery. Not much else to say besides, just go. Worth the visit.
Careful when buying, they do not accept cash of any kind, keep a Visa and Mastercard in hand, you might need to ask someone to buy tickets for you.
Maps are free, and just in case get a tour guide, there are just too many stories about many tombs, most are very interesting.

Costa Park is a lively and entertaining destination that offers an array of exciting rides, including rollercoasters and waterslides. Located near Puerto de Frutos, the amusement park also features musical performances on its main stage at 16:30 and 19:00. While wait times for certain attractions can be lengthy during peak periods, the park's location is picturesque, making it an ideal venue for a theme park experience.
Fun Day!
Food isn't allowed inside but you can keep it as there's locker facility is available.
Rides were super fun. It was sunny day and water sprinklers were saviors!!
There was waiting line at the entrance but it was fast so it takes usually like 10 mins.

We initially wanted to go to the Aquafan park. When we were at the tickets booth, we saw that a ticket for a day would have costed almost 15000$ instead of the 13000$ stated online (9100$ if you buy the ticket online 1h before the park opens). So we decided to buy the tickets online and come back on another day. When we came back, we were told that food cannot be taken inside so we had to spend 1000$ to temporarily store our food at a different booth of the park. After that we could finally enter. Of course we needed to store our street clothes, phones and other stuff somewhere, so another 2500$ had to be spent on the locker. Finally, it was time to test some water slides, at least we thought so. Most of the slides require an inflated ring. However, the rings are not transported to the waterslide by a conveyor belt, no, you have to go to the end of the slide and get it from a customer who is coming out of the slide. Never seen such a poorly designed system. The slides themselves are fun but you have to wait forever for a 30 seconds ride. After about 3 hours (about 4 rides) we decided to go to the coaster park which was almost empty. Since the coaster park is not included in the ticket, each of us had to spend another 7000$ to get the entry ticket. We rode the boomerang coaster which was quite okay, but we had to wait some minutes in the coaster seats because they were waiting for more people to come... Then we wanted to ride the green one, but it was closed. After about 1 1/2h we decided that we had ridden almost everything we wanted (except the closed one) and wanted to take a last round in the boomerang coaster again. My friend felt sick after the ride and asked for a bag but the woman didn't ask what's wrong or tried to find a bag but just said "please go outside if you need to puke"... Those parks were neither worth the time, nor the money. Definitely no recommendation.
Michel V — Google review
The time stood still here. Outdated theme park from the 90’s. You see a lack of maintenance. During our visit often an attraction stopped working. The park clearly needs to be renovated.
Waiting lines were ok, but the variety in attractions is sad. Not a theme park as you would expect.
Restaurant is a throwback to the 80’s.
Considering that the entrance ticket is expensive, you should expect more or at least a good maintenance.
Glenn Kips — Google review
If you are looking some adrenaline you might consider this place. You can find rollercoaster, pendulums, zambas, etc. If you go in the afternoon try to use sunscreen because all the games, if you jave to wait, dont have any type of shade. Inside you can buy food, souvenirs, clothes, etc. but, as you have thought, it's more expensive than in the shops outside.
Bruno Magneschi — Google review
Nice place overall. We went in Covid times, so not all attractions were open.
The Boomerang is still open. Not El Desafío though.
The place was pretty uncrowded luckily. Staff is professional enough.
Food is awful. Awful. Few options and really bad. Try to eat before going and after leaving.
Do not park in the first parking lots you see. They are extremely expensive. If you go on a couple blocks you'll pay a third of that.

The Zoo Lujan, spanning 37 acres, is a popular and long-standing attraction that features a petting barn and regularly scheduled guided tours. Visitors can also enjoy the playground and BBQ grills on site. The diverse range of cute animals roaming freely provides an exciting experience for kids who can also get up close with them. The restaurant and snack shop offer similar food options with decent meals available for lunchtime.
Lots of cute animals strolling around the place. They have also guided tour every half an hour. The guides are friendly and helpful. The food is more of the same, it has a restaurant and a snack shop. Both serve about the same food. But it has a decent meal if you want to have lunch. The more dangerous animals are well behaved and very well treated. They are not abused.

Very average. Can no longer touch tigers and lions. Plus can't ride elephants or camels like you used to be able to. Gets 2 stars because the birds were very interesting and great experience, plus we stroked the camel and snake. The ground were poorly kept and animals were very sleepy. Very disappointed ☹️

Animals do not seem to be well treated. Those that you can play look dumb and lazy (maybe doped). In general, the zoo is not in good shape. If you are planning to go to Buenos Aires, consider visiting the Temaiken Zoo.

Well-known zoo with a variety of animals & attractions such as an aquarium & a 360-degree theater.
We are animal lovers and quite critical about some zoos. After visiting most of them in the US and Europe, I must say we were very impressed with Tamiken. Everything looks great - from the sign when entering to the animals enclosures. We found the animals to be happy and active. They have large spaces to roam and be as close to nature as possible. The park itself is amazing, so nice and the themes and explanations are the best we ever saw. Very recommended!

This park is cute for all ages, especially for children. There were lots of animals, and they all looked happy and healthy. If you do go on a weekend, I recommend that you go as early as possible. When we were leaving at around 2:00 P.M., there were tons of people coming in. If you can buy tickets in advance, please do so. As for COVID-19 protocols, I wore a mask the whole time, and I was asked for proof of vaccination to enter the aquarium. The price, however, is a bit on the higher side, but nothing too crazy.

This is a very nice animal park with well maintained enclosures and a variety of animals. The exhibits are comfortable to walk through, nothing felt crowded. Parking is fairly easy. We bought everything ahead and didn't have any issues scanning our phone tickets. Just a great experience all around. Give yourself at least a few hours to get through the park.

I really enjoyed this park!
We bought tickets one day before through the internet (check promotions, there are many good offers).
The territory of the park is big and there are many things to see. It feels like animals have good conditions and bigger spaces than in regular zoos. You can see some rare animals here, for example, bengal tigers, yaguarete, pumas.
There are many food zones, toilets and playgrounds around the park.
The only disturbing moment is people, which don’t follow the rules and don’t respect animals or other guests. Smoking, taking pictures with flash, screaming and climbing in prohibited areas - such a shame.
Ann Ansher — Google review
The park is well taken care of and the animals look healthy and happy. They had sunscreen stations all over to reapply as much as needed! There are restaurants inside, including an ice cream shop that offers a wide variety of gluten-free flavors.

Temaiken itself was lovely, I would highly recommend this for visitors young and old.
For non-spanish speaking visitors. Booking through TripAdvisor I would not recommend. Park is able to ticket on the gate or direct in advance.
There are no English guides or translation but we managed just fine.
Gorgeous birds and animals in lovely settings. Be aware that the amount of space given to the animals means that you may not always get a close up view, which in itself is a good indication that they are well cared for.
Food and drinks available on site were great. Staff were super friendly, had as much English as we had Spanish, but we always managed what we asked for without incident.
For those coming from cooler climates, they have water spray fans at intervals around the park to help with the heat.

Spent there my sons birthday with family. Great experience. Very beautiful. Very inconvenient that the tickets can be purchased only online or by card. Cash is not accepted. And only fast food available in the park, so better take healthy snacks for kids with you.
Olga Shuboderova — Google review
We bought tickets in advance.
Take a look at their website because there are a lot of promotional discounts.
I'd suggest to get both tickets and parking in advance.
The park is very tidy and taken care of.
Animals have a lot of space to move 'freely' (well, yeap, this is a grey issue).
The aquarium is very good!
Lots of species, including sharks.
The Bengal tigers were definitely my favorite. There are 2 of them and it is very fun to see them interact.
You can also see flamingos, monkeys, pelicans, ostriches, lemurs, bats, pumas, and lots of other species.
There are a variety of food places all across the park.
Although there is a sign that you should not go in with food or beverages, no one controls anything. Moreover, pretty much everyone goes in with food and beverages.
The whole visit may take between 3 and 5 hours, depending on your own regulation of speed (and lunch)
Bathrooms are OK.
Overall, it was a very fine day and experience.
I'd recommend it, especially with children.

A simply stunning basilica. It’s is so super clean and so beautiful inside. Tons of vendors outside but they are not going to bug you. A very impressive church constructed in neogothic style, inaugurated in 1910 and has a heritage designation as an historic monument of Argentina. The towers of the temple have 106 meters tall.
The interior is impressive and well maintained until now.

An amazing architecture and incredible history.
The legend tales that Antonio Farías Sáa requested a Maria Virgin`s figure, so a friend sent two figures to choose, unfortunately the carriage got stuck on the road during the trip, and no one could push it up to one figure was withdrawn. The most known history say the place was Lujan, although there is another version which talks about Zelaya.

The Monumento Histórico Nacional a la Bandera is a memorial to the national flag of Argentina, featuring a tower and inaugurated in 1957. It pays tribute to Argentine hero Manuel Belgrano and provides visitors with stunning views of the river, bridge, island, and sides of the city from atop its monolith. The monument's pavilion offers an open space for admiring the city itself. At night, the monument is illuminated with colors representing the flag.
Beautiful place! Just walking around there is amazing, but the fact that you can go up to the top of the monument is the best part with great views! Underneath the big structure with the everlasting fire, there is also a very cool room with flags and old currency from all the Latin countries!

Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, also known as Iglesia de los Capuchinos, is a stunning neo-Gothic church located in the Manzana de los Jesuitas quarters of Cordoba. Completed in 1934, this Franciscan church features intricate carvings and statues of religious figures adorning its facade. One of the most important building in the city. The construction was ended in 1976. There are two temples in the same building (underground and ground level). In the walls there is information important to read. There are modern paintings. During 2018 the front of the church was illuminated

I went on a guided tour to better know this church. The tour is reasonably priced. We got to climb the stairs for a wonderful view on the tour. The story of the building is conducted in Spanish and quite detailed so brush up on your Spanish.
The cultural center Paseo del Buen Pastor boasts a variety of restaurants, cafes and art exhibits, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day. The central patio is also home to regular live music performances that range from traditional religious ceremonies to more popular genres such as salsa and merengue.

It is one of the most emblematic buildings in the history and culture of Argentina. Although throughout its long history it has undergone many modifications, and one could say that little remains of its original construction, this does not take away its historical and symbolic value. It is recommended to visit it with the guided tours and the night show, which offers a historical overview of the independence struggle. Interesting place, well explained though in Spanish only. From a historical point of view, the account in the museum is accurate, balanced, and asks a lot of fascinating questions. Wow, whst an absolute treat this adventure was. We rented a camper van in Córdoba and travelled all through this area. Stunning views around every corner. You really feel like you should be out on a horse, herding llamas while keeping an eye out for armadillos, iguanas and wild foxes, all of which we saw here. The colours and hues change through the the days and sunsets and sunrises are truly spectacular sights. Lots of stops along the way to check out canyons, vistas, caves, natural amphitheatres, etc. Roads are quite good although you do have to get used to windy mountain driving. Much more influence of indigenous people in this area. Different foods too.

Museum of the Vine and Wine of Cafayate, Salta, Argentina
The Museum of the Vine and Wine in Cafayate, Salta, Argentina is a modern and interactive exhibit that delves into the region's winemaking traditions. Situated in the Calchaqui Valleys, this museum offers a dynamic display on the history and characteristics of vineyards in the area, focusing on high altitude wines. Housed in an old wine cellar, it provides a low-cost bilingual tour for visitors to learn about the character and history of these unique wines.
Great start for your time in Cafayate. You'll find a detailed script along the self-guided visit, with an English version on the side. The cost for nationals is around a dollar, while a dollar & a half for foreign visitors. There's a wine bar in the premises, of course. From here, you'll make the most of your wine tasting in the area and I believe you'll also judge your purchases as a connoisseur.
La Protti — Google review
Very detailed and poetic descriptions of winemaking in this part of Argentina. They take a lot of pride in their winemaking process, rightfully so because the wines here are incredible! After the interactive museum (which is very high tech!), please relax and have a drink and snack at the bar. Empanadas are divine and the employees are wonderful, very personable and cheerful, and happy to have people here. We felt very welcome, even if we were strangely ordering food, wine and coffee at 17h 😂 (still on American time with our meals and everywhere else was closed haha). Overall learned so much more about the winemaking process, unique terrain in the north of Argentina. Muchisimas gracias!

Exceeded my expectations, though they were low for a small-town museum. It actually had good audio-video presentations as well as atmospheric sounds and lighting effects. I learned quite a few things about the region through sheer repetition and hammering through a few peculiar facts about this superb wine valley.
Keven Arsenault — Google review
Very well thought out self-guide museum with information about the local wine and the history of the region. At the end there is an excellent shop featuring a huge selection of wines from several well known area Bodegas, and very reasonably priced too! You don't need to pay the 60 pesos entry fee (cheap!) just to visit the wine store. A few minutes walk from the main square.

The first part is ok, not super interesting, but visually interesting. The second part telling the origin of wine in the area is much more interesting. A somewhat sterile exhibition overall, you can do it if you have extra time.

(Translated by Google) Incredible landscape that varies in colors, climate, geographical features! It is really a marvel.
It is an intricately curved path and against a curve you reach 3300 meters above sea level. We did it from Salta going to Cachi, passing through Los Cardones National Park, there are 20km of dirt road, in fairly good condition, if you are afraid or have never driven on gravel and height, go slowly, calmly, taking care of the vehicle, minimizing risks and also you can go appreciating the road with its landscapes!
It was first called Cuesta de la dormida del Obispo because in 1622 Monsignor Julián de Cortázar (third bishop of the diocese of Tucumán) was traveling from the city of Salta to Cachi and had to spend the night uncomfortably halfway up the slope. Later and with time the name was simplified to how it is known today: Cuesta del Obispo.

Then you have a dirt road and once you reach the Piedra del Molino (top), pavement again. You can do it on the road by bike, motorcycle, car, truck, etc. Recommendations to take into account:
1) Upstairs it is usually a totally different climate than down below. It may be foggy and low in temperature. Always wear a coat.
2) There is no sign anywhere above.
3) if you go at night along the Obispo slope, it is likely that you will be foggy and you can't see anything. It helped me to drive with GPS (download offline maps before).
4) As an intermediate stop I suggest the Maray Church, there are bathrooms and some very good picnic areas under willows for a comfortable stop.
5) The fuel issue ⛽ you can load in El Carril (it is on the route) or in Chicoana (entering the town).

It is a great museum. What a pity that not everything is translate to english. Still it is really worth it.

Mauro Varena — Google review
Was a fair amount in English but some still to be translated. Fascinating how well preserved the young girl was.
Photos aren’t allowed inside. The museum is very small but you can spend at least an hour there if you don’t rush it.
Greg M. — Google review
It's not too big but very interesting if Inca culture attracts you. Relatively cheap (I paid $1200 as a foreigner; argentinians, people from salta, and people with disabilities get increasingly high discounts, disabled people paying nothing). They only expose one child's mummy at a time, you can know in the entrance which is it.
The only CON I must say is that not only is it too dark at times, but also, you're not allowed to take pictures AT ALL. They say it's for preservation (what harm can a camera without flash cause? Not more than a human breathing carbon dioxide inside a room, hm?), I think it's to keep the inside a "secret" so they keep attracting tourists.
Overall it was interesting, and I'm not that much into archeology and anthropology — for those people it will be even more enjoyable for sure.

I quite liked the museum.
As some people here state correctly it’s a rather small exhibition, but honestly its still a good one.
They have lots of descriptive texts and QR-Codes that you can scan and a very informative film at the beginning of the tour.
The price might be a little high, but they also go above and beyond to preserve and do research on the three mummies, which also has to be financed somehow. They also only display the artifacts found with the mummies, so there aren’t too many things on display. All the information, the texts and little films play together nicely though and in combination with other museums this will give you a deeper understanding of the Incan empire and its culture.

Spent about 10 minutes inside. As a tourist, I had to buy a ticket online and register on another site without English options. The ticket itself is like 3$ cad so very affordable, but... Even if you register online and have your ticket, you still get in the same line as everyone else buying a ticket that day... Makes no sense!

Of you want to check the Inca's history is a must. The price is cheap and you can see mommies in a perfect conservation.

Beautiful little museum built around the discovery of 3 mummified children in a volcano near Salta. Only one child is displayed at a time, but there are many displays of the items found with the children. There are several short, informative videos with English subtitles that provide the history of the find, the preservation of the children, and basic information about the original people.

Great to visit and learn about the culture and history of settlers high in the Andes, don't need to spend too long inside but some amazing exhibitions. Some English placards to explain!
Alastair Ma — Google review
There is, for want of a better turn of phrase, a roster for the children sacrificed on the mountain top. The child whose body was struck by lightning was available to see when we were there. It is important to remember that, whatever our current beliefs, some no less mistaken or bizarre, this child, perfect in her own way, went to die for the safety of her people. Go, see her or her companions, but please, remember to respect her courage and her ultimate sacrifice for her peoples. Salta is worth visiting if only to see, and pay your respects to, these extraordinary young people.
In passing the cultural insights offered by this museum are certainly worth seeing independent of the children. Would I travel to Salta for the reason of the rest of the museum alone? No. If in Salta would I consider it an error not to go? Yes. The children, frozen in body and time, make the journey across Argentina absolutely worth while. Just, when you go, pause to consider the enormity of her sacrifice and use that as a window to consider your own life perhaps.
John Pardey — Google review
Interesting museum about traditions long forgotten. Mostly about a path of children that were to be sacrificed. One of three mummies is always on display. The best are the two girls, the boy is a bit less interesting to see.
Petr Vasicek — Google review
Ok museum with interesting tho limited information on Incas. The highlight of the exhibition (the 3 mummies) is actually a little below expectations since it hyped the three children but actually show just one.

I am so lucky i got to see the maiden on display when i was there. I heard about her when she was first discovered and always wanted to see her. The best preserved mummy in the world. Fantastic. They have 3 mummies and only one is on display at a time. All are great. I only wish i could take photos but I understand it is for the preservation and i respect that. Definable worth a visit.

THE thing to do in Salta. The museum gives a great overview in both Spanish and English of the Inca traditions related to human sacrifice. There are many displayed objects, and at the end you see one of the three children. Super interesting to see.
Don't miss on the second floor the "queen" another mummy who was not cared for when she was looted in 1920.
It takes less than one hour.

The experience was really good. It is really shocking to see the mummies in real life. The atmosphere is very well designed. I recommended to buy the tickets through the webpage because otherwise you have to wait a lot to buy it.

One of the most memorable it will be. To learn about the historic times and the native people, one travels back into time. Simply beautiful. The English translation is very helpful on the written scripts.

Small well organized museum. During peak hours it can be a bit troublesome to navigate the exposition areas. I found it interesting because of the historical and scientific value of the work that is being carried out. I am glad I was able to support the museum.

If you’re going to close and can’t tell everyone, put it on your google maps listing!
That at least gives us a chance to find out.
We’re only in Salta two days and you’re closed for both of them.

Disappointing museum. Perhaps due to being over-hyped. I was charged US$8.50. For museums in Argentina, that is a lot.
There were just two mummies on display. One badly preserved and the other in exceptional condition. Otherwise, on display was a very very limited number of artifacts. What the museum mostly seems to consist of, are volumes worth of descriptions written on the walls.
If the museum included an audio guide, it would be with $4 given the tiny (very tiny) collection.
If you’ve never been to any of the Andean archeological museums in Quito, Bogota, Cuzco, Chan Chan, Lima, Arequipa or Santiago, you will enjoy this one.
But it was touted as being the better of the top two. And is the bottom of my list of all the ones that I’ve listed.
No photos allowed (even without flash) of the museums limited collection is a bummer.
David — Google review
Once you get past the creepy aspect of the human sacrifice, this is a must see museum in Salta. Extremely rare exhibit of the mummy’s of children extremely well preserved. And a detailed intimate glimpse into the Inca civilization culture.
Max Rapoport — Google review
Its a small but very nice museum. It helps you unserstand more about the incas and their culture. In the end of the exhibition you can see an inca mummy.
Daniel Brito — Google review
Highly recommended. You'll get to see one of the mummies, if you so choose (there's an option to walk around that specific part, avoiding the sight)
The self-guided visit offers an English version of the storyline. Bear in mind it's really cold in summer inside this museum, you should grab a ligth jacket to wear. Foreign visitors paid around 7 US dollars entry fee. No pictures are allowed.
La Protti — Google review
It might seem expensive by Argentinian standards (8000pp for foreigners) but it's well worth it!
The artifacts are incredibly well preserved and the colours are still bright! The mummies are incredible and look as though they could wake up at any moment.

The imposing pink cathedral of Salta is one of the most important churches in south america. The building was completed in 1882 after an earlier church was destroyed in an earthquake. It features a rectangular floor, three naves and a high dome ceiling. There are free guided tours available in Spanish but note that these only cover part of the cathedral. The heart of the city has witnessed religious festivals and the atmosphere here is spectacular with a beautiful church full of life.
So colorful and beautiful inside. They are 3 churches like this near the square. All are beautiful. Free to go inside and maybe you can say a prayer if you want.
J Cas — Google review
Both a great tourist attraction and a fully functioning Catholic church (mass is celebrated daily), this is the main cathedral in the city of Salta. Not old, for European standards, it was built in the mid 1800s, it still boasts a richly decorated interior full of altars and religious art (paintings, statues and a wonderfully fresco painted ceiling). The cloister next door is small and not breathtaking, but still worth to see when visiting the cathedral.
Niccolo' Bertoldi — Google review
Impressive example of decorative art. This building though is fairly recent. The atmosphere is cozy. The church has many security guards who are very helpful may you need assistance. It is a great place to pray or simply to admire the many different artifacts and sculptures.

The Hill of Seven Colors, also known as Cerro de los Siete Colores, is a stunning natural wonder in Argentina. This jagged rock formation boasts a mesmerizing display of pastel hues including lavenders, oranges, and yellows. While it may be challenging to spot all seven colors at once, the morning sun illuminates the rocky surface with a breathtaking spectrum of colors.

As for the natural, the Hill itself is a beauty, it is very impressive to see the different shades and the size it has. Depending on the time you approach it, the tone of each color is different, the way it shines, everything.
Likewise, the fair that is located there does not contribute much to the visit, they sell the same as in Purmamarca, Humahuaca, so it really is not a big deal.
It is a pity that it is such a busy viewpoint, it is almost impossible to appreciate the Hill without someone crossing it, much less take a photo where it can be seen. I logically understand that it is an obligatory stop for tours that come to the area, especially on the way to the Salinas Grandes.

Pucará de Tilcara is a significant pre-Inca archaeological site located in the southern outskirts of Tilcara. It was originally built by the Omaguaca tribe in the 12th century and later declared a National Monument in 2000. The hilltop town offers well-preserved ruins, including ancient dwellings and a town square, providing insight into how this indigenous tribe lived.
Moving in many senses. The very fact of walking in a place of worship, even in our days, is worth the visit.

The restorations are not very accurate or authentic, but it does give you an idea of what the buildings might have looked like. You can still see much of the ruins where there are rock piles in the general shape of walls. There is good information provided. The botanical garden is nice too.

An incredibly important pre-Colombian and even pre-Inca civilization archeological site, with traces of human habitation that date back more than 10,000 years. This fortified city that at its peak housed over 2,000 inhabitants was originally built by the Omaguaca tribe around the 12th century. Unfortunately not everything is original / preserved, but part of the Pucará was rebuilt in the last centuty (it was re-discovered 1908) and a monument "in the style of the stone houses" was even added in 1935 to commemorate the archaeologist who first excavated the land. The location was strategically chosen to be easily defensible and to provide good views over a long stretch of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and the views are still spectacular today. The Pucará de Tilcara was declared a National Monument in 2000, and is the only publicly accessible archaeological site in the Quebrada de Humahuaca. Highly recommended!

We left by bus from Purmamarca to Humahuaca. Buses leave from the bus station and charge $2,500 per person. The cost includes the trip, a stop at a very nice viewpoint and an hour's wait at the place. It takes approximately 45 minutes to arrive.
I recommend going very warm since at that altitude the wind blows very strong. The climate is totally different from that of the city. Go with candies/coca leaves as it is very easy to score.
Upon arrival you can contemplate the Hornocal from a kind of viewpoint or advance about 500 steep meters to have a much closer view 🙌. Although this section is a little difficult, especially the return, I highly recommend it, the result is amazing!!!
The place is magical, the colors, the immensity. An unmissable visit ❤️❤️
There is also an igloo where they sell souvenirs and typical things from the place.

Due to the smoke due to fires due to the drought, I did not have a good view of the 14-color hill, but it was still a fantastic experience. When you arrive with your car, you can leave it parked, and walking you can reach a point where the view and dimension are impressive. Attention, the walk is 1 hour and 1/2 round trip and it is essential to have good lungs and training because it is very high (4,300 meters above sea level) and sometimes you are short of breath.
I recommend the view, it is wonderful.
