Amusement area offering water slides, surfing & kayaking, plus an abandoned "ghost" fishing village.
Highly recommend Jessica Marques in bar Cabral! Made our day happier! Delicious drink, friendly, funny, efficient, and skilful
Dayane Cardoso — Google review
It was not as advertised. Most of the slides had a weight restriction that prevented me from enjoying the fun. I was only allowed on 1 slide. There are all the same slides in the US and no problems. I was highly disappointed!!!!
Yuri Holmes — Google review
It is a total waste of time and money. It is too crowded and there is line for everything. 30min in the entrance, to slide down xpirado more 30min. It took too long in almost all the waterslide. For one day I spent R$720 in 4 tickets plus lunch that is the minimum to have a reasonable day. Do not worth it. To have a good experience, the park should allow only half the amount of people that was there, they should respect more their clients. Not to mention that you walk all day long there, be prepare for the 5km walking. Brazil has places way more interesting then hot park.

A fab theme park around water activities mainly. Fun for all the family, resteraunts there are a few, normal facilities available. Love the wrist bands so you can charge everything you need to it and settle up at the end of the day. The only down sides are not all rides in the park are free and should be as you pay a entrance fee also car parking is not free.
Andy Green — Google review
Had a good day at Hot Park, the place is massive and is great fun to go with your family and friends. However we felt very awkward because they prohibited my good friend from going on the rides because he was 5kg over weight. We totally understand is due to safety, however was the first time I been to a water park where you have to WEIGHT yourself on every single slide. They weight you individually and also as a group. We felt terrible for my friend and we tried to speak with the management team, they were very apologetic but I feel like they could do more, at least offer a refund to my friend but they just said nothing they could do and my friend had to sit and wait for us to enjoy our day.

Amazing views and time spent in warm water in a beautiful nature setting. Unique place in the heat of Brazil.

The park is big and has a good variety of options but it very overpriced if you don't get online discounts.
Don't buy your tickets at the park directly, they are almost double the price of online tickets and definitly not worth it.
Aurélien Bernard — Google review
Really nice water park with lots of options. It's very kid friendly but you're better off leaving them at home and just enjoying it by yourself. There's a mixture of water slides etc and more historic heated natural springs. Both have a lot to offer. If the idea of drinking an ice-cold beer in a heated pool surrounded by natural woodland appeals then give it a try. Best to go along with a native speaker as all the signage and safety instructions are in Portuguese. The place is very buggy friendly and so provides good access to wheelchair users too. Food is reasonably priced for a park, but varies in quality quite a lot.

First of all, highly recommend visiting Brazil! HotPark in Rio Quente is a must visit. Amazing people, great food, atmosphere is beautiful. Waterpark and lagoons are amazing! Staff are super friendly. Resort has many hotels and pools available. Food options are great and wide range in buffet.

The Prive Fun water park has a 12 million square foot area, accommodating 5,000 people. There are many slides, some radical, others more calming pools - with waves. A giant toboagua is in the form of a screw. The Lazy River is there, as well as a ramp for sliding with or without a boat. There are also spaces for children's pool with an elevator and fun areas such as a crazy bucket and labyrinth.
Lots of people, lots of fun.

After 2 days of swimming in my appartment pool, I felt like something active. I had already seen this water park close to my appartment and decided to check it out.
This water park was terrible and I'm gonna explain why.
When buying the ticket, the employee didn't inform me of the payment cards. Me, never having been to this park didn't know that and proceeded to walk in. I found a place to sit and left my personal belongings there. It was right next to the Lazy River which caught my eye. I asked an employee where I could get a buoy and they told me. When I got there, they told me I had to pay for the buoy. Ridiculous they don't let you use it for free, as you return it. I reached for my cash, but then they told me I needed a card to pay. A card from the water park itself where you can store money on it. So I had to walk back to the entrance and asked for a card. I immideately asked why she didn't inform me that in the first place. Her lousy excuse was that I didn't ask for it. Like, I've never been to this park so I didn't know about that. Very bad service. So I wanted to put 33 dollars on it, but their system is like this: if you have MORE than 3 dollars left on it, they will only give back 3 dollars which is such a scummy move. After all this drama I got myself the buoy and went into the Lazy River.
The water was ice cold and the water didn't push me forward, I ended up walking through it. Poorly done.
The wave pool was also ice cold.
They also use alt accounts to raise their stars. I saw a lot of comments literally only saying: top, show and cool. They don't even try to hide it, I've never seen so many repetitive reviews.
Terrible experience. I don't recommend this to anyone.
One huge disappointment.

Super versatile place for many kinds of events. Their infrastructure supports a huge volume of people, and being on the mall makes it more appealing, as you can count with their amenities, like the parking infrastructure.
The main downside is that in an event with a lot of people, the entering/exiting flux can be really bad as just 3 elevators can't handle all the people trying to get in/out. For this case, you can always use the stairs, or plan to arrive or leave out the busy hours.

Sprawling park complex featuring a basin, a stadium & other sports facilities, a zoo & more.
One of the best parks in Minas Gerais for sports.
It has a 5.2km circuit around the park with a cycle lane as well as a wide road for pedestrians and runners.
It also has several football fields, volleyball and basketball courts. You can also find 100m running tracks.
Several exercise machines around the park.
On Sundays the swimming pool is open for the public.
Huge playground for children as well.
Several bars and shaded sitting spots
And if this is not enough, there are many CLEAN toilets all over the park.
They also have a zoo but as I do not visit zoos, I didnt go there.
Really worth a visit

By Minas Gerais standards, it is absurd not to have at least some bread and butter in the cafe. Weird and tense atmosphere in the air, feeling of exploration. R$50 for lunch, R$30 for visiting the waterfalls (honestly, there are other places that are much more beautiful, like Complexo dos Palmitos). Gold only if it's in the pocket of the man who manages that place badly. Detail: we didn't go with a guide. If you close a package in the city, it will probably end up there because they must have a scheme, some partnership with the owner. We recommend Dona Vita, from Restaurante Lobo Guará, which is nearby. Much more welcoming and honest!

(Translated by Google) The source of the São Francisco River is one of the most beautiful and important places in Brazil. The river originates in Serra da Canastra, in Minas Gerais, and runs more than 2,800 km until it flows into the Atlantic Ocean1. The spring is within the Serra da Canastra National Park, which has an area of more than 200 thousand hectares and is home to a rich biodiversity of fauna and flora2. Access to the spring is via gate 1 of the park, in São Roque de Minas, and a fee of R$10.00 per person must be paid. The trail to the spring is easy and well signposted, and takes around 20 minutes. The spring is a small well of crystal clear water, surrounded by rocks and vegetation. It is exciting to see the beginning of one of the most important rivers in the country, which flows through five states and supports millions of people. The source of the São Francisco River is a place worth knowing and preserving, as it is a natural and cultural heritage of Brazil.

This is definitely the best tourist attraction in the Capitólio Canyons area and well worth a visit during your stay in the area. There are good infrastructure providing restrooms and safe walkways around the canyons as well as a restaurant with great views not to forget the amazing Zipline adventure across the canyon.

Must see in Capitólio. The entrance is not cheap (80 reais, you can get a 20% discount if you book online) but worth every real. Incredible views and very refreshing waterfalls where you can swim.
We were told that one ticket is valid for 3 following days. We'll check if it works. 😉

Not worth R$40. The view is pretty, but the natural pools are nothing special and you will have to wait in line to enter. At most, you can spend 15 minutes in the pools and 30 minutes on the trail. Also, the lady with the megaphone at the pools is very rude to visitors.

Caverns & Caves
The Gruta do Maquiné - Monumento Natural Estadual Peter Lund is a popular tourist attraction in rural Minas Gerais, Brazil. This large cave features cathedral-like chambers adorned with limestone stalactites and stalagmites. Guided tours, conducted only in Portuguese, allow visitors to explore the caverns for about 30 minutes before returning. However, it should be noted that the cave is not wheelchair accessible due to difficult and irregular stone steps inside.
Large cave in rural Minas Gerais, Portuguese only tours. Should be about 30 minutes to the end of the cave and back. Not wheelchair accessible, difficult and irregular stone steps inside. Cave is decoratively illuminated, floods partially in summer. Good parking, bathrooms, and small restaurant.

Stunning caves, in a remote location. Very unspoilt and a great tour guide ensured we learned a lot about the history. Small souvenir shops surround the caves and nice gardens also. Plenty of parking and not too expensive. It wasn't busy when we went, at midday in May
James Ozzie Osborne — Google review
This cave is beautiful. It is large and has many different interesting rooms inside. My husband and I traveled to this cave without our 9 month old daughter, as we thought it might be too risky. It was a very smart choice. The cave has many stairs, uneven ground and there are no railings. It is safe but you have to be really careful with children. We would've had our daughter in a baby carrier, but it would have still been very inconvenient. Also, on our tour there was an elderly woman who attended. Even though a guide personal was provided to her to help ensure her safety, I watched her struggle the entire time. My own opinion if you are an elderly individual who has limited mobility, my recommendation is that this activity is not for you. As I previously mentioned, the ground in uneven, stairs going up and down (some very steep). Overall, we enjoyed this cave very much. Keep in mind that you have to pay to enter the cave and they only accept cash.

Beautiful caves with very good accent lighting and sturdy walkways and stairs throughout. I could literally spend all day inside the cave. If you don't speak Portuguese, call ahead and try arranging for an English tour guide. I didn't but still enjoyed the tour even though I couldn't understand a word the guide was saying.
Contrary to what Google maps says, there is not a natural history museum here. There is one skeleton of a prehistoric animal inside the one cave, but that's all.
