The worst ever expo center I've been. Expensive food, absence of public transportation option, rude people, no taxi and Uber good services. It's a jungle and survival mood all the time. I hope the future events I need to be will be never there again.

Awesome place to get. Parking lot is big and very accessible. The place is full climate controlled and very spacious.

For lack of traffic planning it looses some stars. Otherwise great!
The local traffic engineers would be better suited to direct trash collectors than traffic! Ridiculous. 4hrs to get to the expo on a busy day. No planning for Ubers…. How come some of the busiest airports abroad can get this right, but local engineers who studied this have a hard time understanding this concept?!

Good conference area with lots of space. Staff are keeping it clean and there are decent food options. However, make sure you account for sitting in traffic as you come off the highway. It is always very crowded.

This is a very well preserved farm from 1845 that used to produce coffee. The first owner was Domingos Custódeo Guimarães or Viscount of Rio Preto (Black River Viscount). The actual owners belongs to the second family of owners of this farm. Mrs. Simone and her husband keep the place preserved as it was in the century the farm was built. Everything is kept original, the furniture, the paintings, decoration... Is like going in the past. I can say it is one of the best preserved farms from the time that coffee was considered an investment good as gold. To visit this farm, you have to schedule your visit by phone. The price is about US$10.00, it is not expensive due to the knowledge of the owners about the farm history and their sympathy. It is easy to find a place to park in the farm, don't worry about this.

It is a natural park in Minas Gerais state. The park is wonderful, full of sedimentary rocks and natural vegetation, some streams and caves. You can trail everywhere there and have fun in contact with nature. I also recommend going to "janela do céu" (window of the sky), which is a very long walking trail. Make no mistake my friends, this is one of the greatest places to visit at least once in your lifetimes. It's not simple or easy to get to, and some of the trails are definitely not for beginners, but it's worth every little drop of sweat to climb up to the window of the sky (janela do céu) and enjoy the unique experience this place has to offer. It's ao marvelous it's almost mystic.

Maravilhoso parque estadual.
beautiful, enchanting national park well worth visiting and well preserved and clean. the perfect photo at the " sky window" desperately needs better organization and restrictions with supervision and I feel that there are other places in the park that are even more beautiful. It is controversial to impose restrictions but public safety, cleanliness and preservation are essential.

The stunning church named after Tiradentes' patron saint, Igreja de Santo Antonio, is a remarkable work of Aleijadinho and one of his final designs. The interior is resplendent with Old Testament allusions and features notable objects like the polychrome organ brought from Portugal in 1798 by donkey and the seven golden phoenixes that suspend candleholders with braided chains. The sundial at the entrance dates back to 1785.

(Translated by Google) It's a small museum that was built where an old prison was, you can see a space where there was a solitary confinement (you can't see it very well, because the glass is a little foggy). Now the museum itself is for images of Mary's mother, so it ends up being very specific. I think it's worth a visit, as they are old pieces and it's cool as a historical record, but if you're not that interested in the topic, it's not that fun.

There is an elevator and stairs to access the floor where the works are located. It's a very clean space! With bathroom and storage. You can't enter with bags or bags, but the storage area is organized and you keep your key. Entrance costs 10 reais and students and teachers pay 5 reais, but proof is required. Tiradentes, located in the heart of Minas Gerais, is a charming destination known for its well-preserved historic center. Visitors can explore the area on foot, taking in the colorful colonial houses, churches, museums, and craft shops. The town's tranquility and artisanal furniture scene add to its appeal.

Fountain of St. Joseph, also known as Chafariz de Sao Jose, is a historic site built in 1749 that served as a crucial stop for travelers to replenish their canteens and water their animals. Despite its slightly worn appearance, the fountain exudes an air of tranquility with its surrounding greenery, making it an ideal spot for picnics or seeking respite from the heat.
Very cool historic fountain. It was very unusual because it is in someone's front yard. The home located behind the fountain is privately owned. it was a little disappointing to see only two of the three heads of the fountain working at the time we visited. Hopefully the caretaker has plans to restore this historic Monument.

Independência Shopping is a two-level mall in Juiz de Fora, offering a variety of fashion, home, and cosmetics stores. Visitors can also enjoy informal eateries and a movie theater. While not large, the mall boasts interesting shops with unique offerings. It's an ideal place for a leisurely stroll and provides ample dining options for travelers passing through the area. The shopping center features well-known brands alongside local favorites, creating a diverse retail experience.
The best shopping ever ! In this city.

It isn't big but has very interesting shops with something peculiar. It is good for a walk and good for travellers that are passing by Juiz de Fora as there are many good food options. From Mac something to good restaurants. The only negative point I noticed on my visit, is that the parking is not good for medium to big size cars. A big SUV like Mercedes G class, Chevrolet Silverado or Ford F250 are going to use two lots.

The Basilica Nossa Senhora do Pilar is a revered Catholic church located in the historical center of Ouro Preto. Constructed in the late 17th century, the church underwent reconstruction in 1731 to give it a more durable structure, and is now regarded as one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in the region. Inside, visitors can marvel at hundreds of kilos of gold and silver decorations, alongside hand-carved religious artifacts.

The Museu da Inconfidência is a well-preserved former jail in Ouro Preto that serves as a museum dedicated to the casualties of a failed rebellion against Portugal in 1789. The building showcases excellent examples of civil colonial architecture, with pale stone walls and arched windows set against a painted white facade. This historical museum pays tribute to those who lost their lives during the unsuccessful revolution that fought for independence from Portugal.
Highly recommend. Compelling story-telling about early colonial and revolution history. Signs have English translations which are a bit archaic, and hard to understand, but give a basic story.

Audio guides weren't available, which probably made it a lot less enjoyable. This place holds some of the most important documents of the Brazilian history.
It always keeps the bodies of the first men to think about an independent Brasil: there's a small Pantheon inside the museum.
It's important to understand that the episode remembered by this museum happened pretty much in line with the US independence and the french revolution and the industrial revolution. Minas Gerais was already economically and politically linked to the world by 1750+.

The Church of Saint Francis of Assisi in Ouro Preto is a well-known Roman Catholic church with a lavish interior and Baroque-style design. Constructed in 1768 by the renowned artist Aleijadinho, its elaborate wooden decorations, intricate religious figures and hand-painted murals are considered some of his greatest works. The museum in the back showcases many interesting pieces by Aleijadinho while the main altar's retablo cements his reputation as a sculptor and engraver.
Beautiful church, it’s one of the most visited in the area, so keep that in mind

Marcus Vinicius Camillo de Oliveira — Google review
Visit this church, you will NOT be disappointed.
It is a testament of the powerful craftsmanship of Aleijadinho, the man who sculpted without his hands. He sculpted the altar while not being able to attend mess on this church, being black and black people where not allowed inside churches.
The church also holds the painting of Mestre Ataíde, the painting in the ceiling that is his most well known piece.
This church is a powerful expression of Ouro Preto's and Brazil's faith and artistry.

The most beautiful church in Ouro Preto, the Igreja de São Francisco de Assis, was begun in 1765, and no other contains more works by Aleijadinho. The magnificent exterior soapstone panels are his, as is virtually all the virtuoso carving, in both wood and stone, inside; Aleijadinho also designed the church and supervised its construction. In 1801 the church commissioners contracted the best painter of the barroco mineiro, Manuel da Costa Ataíde, to decorate the ceilings. It took him nine years, using natural dyes made from plant juices and powdered iron ore, and his work has stood the test of time far better than other church paintings of the period. The squirming mass of cherubs and saints is framed within a cunning trompe l’oeil effect, which extends the real Baroque pillars on the sides of the nave into painted ones on the ceiling, making it seem like an open-air canopy through which you can glimpse clouds. There are also painted azulejos in the apse that look remarkably like the real thing.

Beautiful!
Very recommended to visit this place. Very romantic, cozy, quiet and super safe!
If you have troubles with walking then I will recommend to not go here or just grab a (motor) taxi everywhere, because you need to walk a lot of hills up and down to visit the beautiful spots

(Translated by Google) Rainy weather 😢 but the city itself is beautiful. Full of colonial churches, lots of history, architecture, tourist attractions, gastronomy and crafts. I recommend staying in a guesthouse that has parking close to the center and taking walks, there are many streets with lots of slopes and as it is a historic city, it maintains the original asphalting which is a bit damaging to the car and the ups and downs are difficult. very steep.

The conservation of places is impressive and makes us value our culture even more. Furthermore, the local guides know everything about the city and tell you every detail with a pride that is contagious.
The crafts workshops and shops are charming in their own right, with unique pieces and lots of local art. It's the food? Wow, the restaurants have typical Minas Gerais dishes that are delicious. There's no way not to be enchanted by Ouro Preto, a place that holds so many treasures from our history and, on top of that, it's simply beautiful. Worth every minute of the trip!

E a comida?

(Translated by Google) Cristiano was the nicest tour guide I've met in 14 years of life, a completely intelligent guy, good at speaking and a great professional, a demonstration and great example that he really loves what he does, he didn't lose his smile for a second during the "expedition". And he talked to all the tourists as if he had known them all for years (I speak from experience). I had more fun talking to him than watching the entire tour route.
