Beautiful camping but very little water at waterfall and tracks to visit the 1-7 steps are all closed down by the park rangers so only the lowest is open. Better skip this waterfall until they open the tracks again. Lots of mosquitoes.

Planned to camp at the nice campsite by the lake. Found out that nice accommodation was available, with air conditioning, fridge, toilet etc.
Plenty of toilets in the park. Waterfalls are minimal during the dry season.
No food available at the park. There’s a 711 outside the park on the right leaving the park and another one in the town on the left

I never knew that around Khitchakut is National Park. I have a chance to come here but too bad it’s summertime and water is very low.
Accessed by a hiking trail, this dramatic forest waterfall plunges down 13 rocky tiers into pools.
Krathing Waterfall is a large and very tall waterfall, the top of which is an open cliff where you can see the waterfall from the mountain in the distance. The upstream comes from the water source on Khao hitchakut, with a total of 13 levels, which highlights the most beautiful point of Namtok Krathing at the 8th and 9th floors, but the national park is open for us to walk up to the 8th floor only. The distance of each floor is not very far apart, so you can walk comfortably.
Each level of the waterfall has different beauty. For the first level of the waterfall, located just 100 meters from the office, near the park's villas and tourists can swim at all levels. In the waterfall basin are rocks and sand, so the water is so clear that you can see the fish that are present in the waterfall.
The floor that people like to stop by for swimming the most is the 3rd floor because it is not far from the office, no need to climb, not very tired, the water is not strong and there is a pool for swimming, suitable for relaxing.
On the 3rd floor, there is also a wooden bridge for us to stop and take photos as well. When you continue walking up to the other waterfalls, you have to walk along the stream up the hill further. The path may be steep and a little slippery. You should walk with caution.
The park area Shady with large and small trees that fill the area, giving the park a cool climate. For the period that is suitable for visiting Krating Waterfall, the most beautiful should come during the after rain, which is around mid-October to mid-February. You'll see the surrounding greenery with mosses, ferns, flowers and tiny mushrooms. The camping area is near the reservoir. During the cold weather, we may see fog in the morning and take very beautiful photos.
How to get to Krating Waterfall?
Krathing Waterfall is about 4 hours from Bangkok, 253 kilometers distance. You can rent a car from Bangkok and drive according to the map
Roman Mozolevskyi — Google review
We were so impressed that we visited this place twice during one year period. The 3rd floor is easy to access from the parking place. We heard that the highest floor was the most spectacular but it was too tiring for us to go to the top. In fact, the way to go uphill is not overly difficult or steep. Healthy adults should reach there without difficulties. During this period, proof of Covid vaccination is required before entering the National Park

One of my favorite waterfalls in Thailand... Just go all the way up 9th Tier and I guarantee you will never regret.. It is so much fun... If you go with family tier 7 will be the best to chill, bath and have some food... Never litter anywhere...

On Mar the water level is very low. But I believe that after rain this place will be very beautiful.

Great temple in the forest, you can see many of old huge trees surround the temple, which one have large hole at the base like a door that you can walk pass through it. In the temple have good work of big wooden pillars, stunning and delicate Thai style mural painting in yellow on the dark background. Feeling calm, peaceful and refreshing in this place. Next to the temple is a clear steam that comes from Khao Banchob waterfall, you can cross it by small wooden bridge and enjoy great nature view from here.
- spending time here around one hour
- dress politely (not to short, over the knee, or no sleeves shirt)

One word: WOW!
This had to be one of the most amazing cave experiences in our travels throughout the world. Not because of the size, but because it’s so nice, and has no people, and the energy around this place is special.
We only went to one of the caves (there are apparently more) and spent more than an hour inside just admiring the rock formations and great green colors of moss growing on the rocks at one opening. The caves are basically 3 sections. First when you enter there is a medium size hall with steps at the rear side leading to a middle section that has a wide opening letting in a lot of light. Continue from there towards the right side through a small corridor like walkway that leads to some wooden stairs up to the great cathedral – this is the main part of the cave and simply amazing. The cathedral has a large stone pillar in the middle that must have been created over thousands of years from slow dripping calcium. From the pillar there are several small walkways to the different corners of the cathedral. To the rear right there is an additional tunnel leading to a small altar with offerings.
The cave has some sparce lighting, many light bulbs were not working when we visited. It’s recommended to bring your own torch - the LED light on your phone will work too if you don’t have a torch
The main cathedral was well lit though, it seems that they focused the lights to where they are making the biggest impact – smart!
Getting to the caves is easy but involves some walking.
We arrived around 11am to an empty carpark. There was one lady selling drinks, but other than that it was completely deserted and looked abandoned. Many of the picnic tables along the path were overgrown and reclaimed by nature.
At the carpark there is a little temple. Walk through a gate to the left of the temple up a paved road. After about 300meters there’s an abandoned building with two walkways, leading to the caves.
- take the path going straight from the paved road for the big cave which is about 400m through the forest on a narrow path, , look at my picture for directions .Wear long pants if you don’t want to brush your legs against the shrubs.
- turn right for the smaller cave up on the mountainside – it’s apparently quite some stairs to climb. Unfortunately, we didn’t know about the other caves until after we already left the site.
Tip: turn off data roaming on your mobile phone: our phone switched to a Cambodian mobile network while we walked to the cave. You may incur high roaming fees if you’re data roaming.
Entrance to the caves is free: a donation box was located by the altar in the very back.
The Travelers — Google review
Great deal - well maintained caves with electric lights, so no equipment required. Free to enter, but it's good to donate something in return. Especially that this place is fair without dual pricing as in other similar places. Keep doing it!

Visited there on the way from Angkor Wat to Bangkok. Good place to visit if you are passing by and a rewarding view after a small hike up, after visiting the cave. Tips: bring light clothes, torch light, charged camera, a rain jacket if rain is expected and wear good non-slippery shoes.
To use google maps, search for: ถ้ำเพชรโพธิ์ทอง. After parking your car, walk on the asphalted road until the road curve into a u turn shape. Turn left right after the small building with blue roof and follow the trail. When met with a major cross road on the trail , take the left. It should be a minute walk before you see the cave entrance.
When you walk after parking your car, enjoy the beautiful trees and plants on both sides of the road. A tree growing inside the trunk of a dead tree, diverse plants and old woods and some animals. If you have children, keep an eye, walk in front in case there is a snake. It should be safe but just in case...
Please bring a rubbish bag and don't leave anything behind.
There's a small donation box at the entrance please donate generously and don't touch the local religious items. The cave is lit and you could spot tens of small bats hanging from the roof. If you look carefully, you will also spot their drippings!
I'll leave some pictures but they don't do this place justice.
After visiting the cave, The hike up to the view point is easy if you are healthy and wear the right shoes. Even kids can do it and some people go up wearing flip flops but I don't think it is a good idea- especially when it is raining.

Shopping
Golden Gate Plaza is a vibrant marketplace that showcases an array of clothing and handicrafts stalls, along with street food vendors. It's a bustling night market where shoppers need to possess excellent bargaining skills to land deals on their purchases. With its massive size, the market can take hours to explore fully, and visitors can find an impressive selection of items to buy.
Come here monthly, good place to shop, brought lots of sports kit and pyjamas today. Next time fishing kit

If you are looking for second hand clothes, brand name handbag, original or copy clothes/shoes, machinary and toy, this is the place. Not worth going just to buy few items but if you need to buy a lot or just on the way to or out of Cambodia, great place to stop by at least couple of hours. Better take a bus from Ekamai bus terminal or Lumpini Park.

Golden Gate Plaza Thailand border is so much cheaper than buying in Poipet or the country Cambodia itself. I save a lot of money buying there and a lot of Khmer merchants who have their own stores in Cambodia would buy whatever they need in stocks at a discount rate and sale them in Cambodia for a huge profit. If anyone of you want to save money, shop in Thailand either at the Golden Gate Plaza or somewhere else in Thailand, you will save lots of money. Here in Cambodia, it is the land where one get scammed, get rip off, lied to. Khmer merchants will lied through their teeth and raise the price of whatever you want to buy. Very dishonest. Go to Golden Gate Plaza.

2. HAND HEAVEN
To call Rong Kluea market anything else would not be fair. I do not know where all the 2. clothes come from originally.
I was told that the majority of the seller's which is from Cambodia bring all the products they are selling them from Cambodia. The goods are brought to the market from Cambodia on big hand-pulled carts.
The products are mostly 2. hand clothes mixed with some new copy products.
The 2. hand clothes look like is origins from the west, how it end up at a border market in Thailand's one can only wonder about.
The market is supplying most of the 2. hand clothes shops around Thailand. When you look at the license plates at the cars at the parking lots you see cars from all over Thailand.

Amazing place with amazing scenery. We were there with family and friends and we really enjoyed it. We have not seen anything like this before. I recommend bringing water and hats with you. The cost of a walk-behind tractor is 300 baht. I recommend this place to visit.

An interesting geological formations. Life hack: you do not need to pay 200 baht for a local tractor to reach the destination but rather park your car and walk about 10 minutes for free.

Warning!!! Should read overall reviews before driving to this destination. This place was part of my road trip plans. I didn't read the review, just attracted to beautiful pictures. This is private property. You can't drive to the site. You have to park here and took those vehicles which attached in my review. I had a lot of stuff in my car and look around my sentiment said NO. After read the reviews some times changed for 500 or 300 seems depend on the mood of drivers. I personally didn't like this kinda things. If it let me drive to the site pay fix price 300-500 baht,I would happy to pay for it. For my own safety, at the time of arrival nobody there how could I know if anything happen a long the way. Skipped it.
APC SSP — Google review
Smaller than expected. It's a community maintained area so it receives no funding from the central government. I came during the afternoon so it was blazing hot. Better to come in the evening or late afternoon. You can rent a car for 200 baht (300 baht) from the visitor center. It can fit up to 6 ppl. Alternatively, I bargained to park my car in the temple and walk in there myself for 50 baht.
Anuk Yingrotetarakul — Google review
Cool mud hoodoos that are definitely worth checking out. Since they are mud, they won't be around for too much longer.
Have to park your car at the main visitor center and rent a modified tractor to tour. Cost is 200 baht for the tractor. Pretty good signage once you get to find your way here.
Greg Wang — Google review
Ok so there is a lot of sand and there is cool formation but after a few photos it is just sand. Many years ago you could just drive here and nobody cared now they "claim" it is on private land and they charge you 200 THB and you can not go inside with your own car. We did since the signs were in Thai and when he said we have to pay 500 thb for driving inside i just told him what and drove away. I do not like when locals trying to claim ownership of something and take a big fee. If its there land ok but i doubt it very much.
Neo LothongKum — Google review
Thailand "rock formation", it is actually the stack of clay soil that slowly caused by water (rain) erosion. The structure may change year by year. To visit the site, tourist should go by the local tractor drive by villager who know exactly where is save, otherwise some area may risk to collapse. It is really funny activity and worth to do once.
sumpun Thammacharoen — Google review
An interesting geological place.....lots of unusual rock structures, quite intricate and beautiful to look at.
However it is quite a small area and once you've seen it, you've seen it.

Prasat Sdok Kok Thom is a remarkably preserved stone Khmer-style Hindu temple from the 11th century CE, located in Thailand. This historical landmark is the top site for historical parks in Thailand and boasts tourist signage, maps, information clearly marked, ample parking space, helpful staff, clean modern toilets and well-maintained buildings and grounds with shady areas. Best of all - there are no tourist charges to visit this non-commercial park!

(Translated by Google) A Khmer-style ruin located on a small hill along National Route 3486 in Tha Phraya District, northern Sa Kaew Province. Unfortunately, I don't think it has any documentary value as the restoration work was done entirely using bricks, with almost no original structure preserved. In fact, I was drawn to the dense rock staircase that continued for about 200 meters to the top. It was stolen. At first glance, the rocks vary in size and are irregular in shape, and at first glance one might think that they were naturally exposed due to the erosion and weathering of a rocky mountain, but it is clear that they were brought in by humans from elsewhere to be used as the stone pavement leading up to the altar. I guessed it was something.

Khao Lon Castle Archaeological Site It was originally a brick castle, located on the top of Mount Bald, which is a sandstone mountain in the Ta Phraya district. Sa Kaeo Province The Fine Arts Department through the Fine Arts Office No. 5, Prachinburi, has carried out archaeological work in the year 2017 - 2018 and has carried out conservation of historical sites. in the year 2019 to study architectural styles Determine the age of ancient sites using both comparative and scientific methods. Including strengthening the stability of the main castle to accommodate the installation of lintels in the future.
From archaeological operations It was discovered that Prasat Khao Lon was an ancient site constructed of bricks that had been polished until smooth. Make the joints of each brick close together. This is a unique brick construction method of Khmer architecture. The archaeological site consists of 3 castles, set on a pythi base as the center of the archaeological site. At present, only Prasat Prasat remains. The north and south sides of the castle were destroyed, leaving only the base. There is a library located on the southeastern side of the main castle. Surrounded by a glass wall with a gopura or arch on the eastern side. south and west
The archaeological site is located on the top of a mountain, which has a retaining wall made of natural sandstone that was placed together to fill and adjust the area on the top of the mountain for the construction of the archaeological site. and prevent the soil used to fill and level the area from flowing into the ground below, which may cause the ancient site to subside. On the east side of the embankment, natural sandstones of various sizes were arranged to form stairs from the foot of the mountain up to the castle.

We took the ferry from Siem Reap to Battambang. A very nice way (but not very comfortable) to combine transport and sightseeing. It toon us 6.5 hours. Mostly cruising the river with the busy life of the floating villages and friendly waving locals. The boat does look different than on the website😏. It is very noisy so take earplugs. There is a simple toilet and they stop at a floating shop half way for 20 minutes if you fancy fried Rice.. ticket 30 usd and sometimes they can puck you up at your hotel.

Do NOT take this boat !
I with 18 other poor tourists ( some of a mature age) after the boat broke down over half way on the trip as it struggled to get through very shallow water ( some people got out and tried to push it away from the muddy banks.
We where thrown off the boat in the heat and had to walk for over an hour and a half through fields, carrying out luggage! Some elderly people clearly couldn't manage, younger passengers helped.
We were finally met by a couple of beaten ups taxis, which were extremely grateful. It was a horrendous ordeal! We weren't offered any water or any compensation or acknowledgement of what we had been through!
At $30 per person, 18 on the boat.... do the maths! Someone is taking the p*** big time.
I'm only grateful that I survived it!
12 hours later I arrived at my hotel!

It really is fraude! Bought sleeping bus from Siem Reap to Bkk which was meant to leave at 2am and arrive at 10am. At 2am a sleeping bus came to pick us up, but it was only for 3h, it then dropped us to the border 30 minutes before the boarder check was even open. 1 hour later, after all the passport check was done we had to look for the same company ok the other side of the border to get us to bkk as the sleeping bus was long gone. We then ended up in a little bus to bkk which was anything but what we paid for.
Sleepless night and poor service! Hope you read this before booking anything with them.

Echo what everyone else has said. Wish I read these before travelling. It too us 11 hours door to door between BB and SR and cost $30 for first transfer and boat trip. They dropped us off 39 minutes away from SR and we had to take the tuk tuks available. They started at $8 each but when we complained dropped to $6 each. Just be aware before you book. It is a long and uncomfortable trip. The scenery is lovely but only for the first couple of hours. Then it becomess boring.
Mary Clarkson — Google review
The boat is different than that pictures on promotional material. The boat trip is very long, uncomfortable, and loud.
Bring some cushions to put on the seats, and also ear plugs to dampen the sound of the engine.
The trip was an experience, but it's not a viable form of transport if you are assessing pure practicality.
Michael Stokes — Google review
Attention fraud! you get thrown off the boat 20km from Siem Reap in no man's land. Everything arranged. tuk tuk drivers are waiting on site and charge $5 per person to be taken to Siem reap. there are no other ways to get there. There is also no internet to call a vehicle with the Pass app. The boat it also not the same like on the picture.
aiken altmann — Google review
It was a good way of getting close to the floating villages AND getting from Siem Reap to Battambang. It took us close to 9h in end of February 2020 due to dry season and we couldn't reach Battambang but stopped before it. No aircondition but airstream from boat speed (23km/h max). Boat had sun roof and a small hole-in-the-flor toilet. No drinks provided on board.
If you are looking for "local-kind-of-adventure" this is EXACTLY your thing. If not go by bus.
Startet at ~7am in Siem Reap by getting picked up at the hotel with a pick up truck (with what else?! 😁😁 )
Drove probably 40min to an harbor outside of Siem (at Siem Reap River). Went over the TonleSap to Sangker River. Lots of floating villages on this riverside. Nice to watch. 👍😎
Had "lunch" at 12 in boat stop. You might want to bring your own lunch.
After the lunch break the rivers gotten thiner and driving was not easy anymore. Jurney got a bit boring.
Reached a place close to Battambang finally at ~4pm. There a tuktuk has to be taken and paid to get to your hotel (paid 5$).
Schorsch Super — Google review
For me it is fraud!
I bought tickets from Battambang to Siem Reap. But, the driver stopped about 20km before Siem Reap, everyone had to get out and walk to the already waiting tuk tuks. For an inflated price you have to be driven into town for another $5. So in total I paid 35 euros for 6,5 hours on a small boat on which you can not move, with a short stopover and with fraud later.
Iona Langhans — Google review
Can only echo what other reviewers are saying! The journey itself was really enjoyable and felt like a good adventure - would rate that part 5 stars (other than the fact your bum gets quite sore as the seats are not well padded). However it was already a pricey mode of transport at $30 each, but we decided worth a punt for the fun factor, but then when the boat rocks up 45 minutes away from Siem Reap and you find out the tuk tuks are all charging the same amount - $8 per person - and no more than 2-3 people allowed in one tuk tuk ‘because of the weight with your luggage’! You’re stuffed as there is no internet or signal so you have no choice but to cough up - a sorry sting at the end of a fun day, a real shame. If we had been told in advance by our hotel, we could have at least tried to make an informed decision but it felt like a deliberate ploy. Overall the journey took 8 hours by boat, 9 including the tuk tuk part at the end.
Krong Battambang is a Cambodian city located in the northwestern part of the country on the Sangkae River. The area features many historical colonial buildings such as Sala Khaet, which used to be the Governor's Residence, and a provincial museum containing ancient artifacts from local Khmer temples.
The Ek Phnom Pagoda is an intriguing site located behind a new and ornate modern pagoda. The temple, dating back to the 11th century, is in ruins but still standing with the help of wooden scaffolds. Despite its current state, it holds a certain romantic charm that is enhanced by its lack of tourists during July 2020. Upon arrival, visitors may overlook the massive sitting Buddha statue situated behind a large tree until reaching the parking area.
Some carving still perfect. it us most ruined.

It's an interesting place. It's located behind a beautiful new pagoda. If you're coming from Battambang city centre, you will probably miss the huge Buddha until you go into the parking area - the statue is right behind a huge tree. Ek Phnom is a ruin, held up by wooden scaffolds. It's actually quite romantic... and at this time it's virtually tourist free (July 2020)

A nice small temple. Good to stroll around and take some photos. There were not any tourists besides us on this site. Entrance is $1 and going around takes around 15-20 minutes.
Nextdoor one can find a large statue of a buddha.

Not worth the ride
It's a at least 20 to 25 minutes ride from the city center. What you will find is just another old Pagode Ruin
Really nothing special or something to notify.
More like a walk in a park.

Probably a really cool tempel, if we were allowed to just go in it. We were greeted and they immediately wanted money of us for entree. After asking if the locals also need to pay, they said no. When I asked them to explain why they didn't have an answer for us. We just headed back because we didn't want to deal with being treated different because of our origin.
Located a short distance from Battambang, the Ek Phnom Pagoda showcases a blend of contemporary and traditional elements. In front of a deteriorating 11th-century temple, an elaborate modern pagoda stands alongside a majestic statue of Buddha. Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, this stop offers visitors a glimpse into the grandeur of the Khmer kingdom. Despite the current state of disrepair, efforts are being made to restore and enhance this ancient site.
We enjoyed our visit here as there is an old temple from I think the 1100s. This Temple is not in very good condition but that is what makes it interesting. Take the time and walk through it, its amazing, took lots of pics. There is also a newer temple and a large statue of a huge buddha. Definitely worth visit, I think the cost was a dollar.

Nice trip from Battambang through cute villages. The place itself is quite interesting although the ruins are not maintained at all and will probably be gone in a few years hence the 3 stars. There's an entry fee but I'm guessing it's used for the temple and not for the ruins. The temple has a sort of comic strip around it, which is quite fun to read.

a bit out of town, very beautiful and natural surroundings, the recent temple is colorful and the old compound is somewhat well preserved to give you a sense of the splendors of the Khmer kingdom.
Battambang Crocodile Farm is a secure environment where visitors can get up close with crocodiles of various sizes. The farm even has baby crocs that children can touch and feel their skin. A girl was thrilled to catch one in her hands and learned not to scare animals unnecessarily. While it's important to be aware of the danger of approaching large crocs, this well-organized farm offers an entertaining and educational experience for everyone.
Got what we came for, saw lot of crocs l, all looked healthy and well fed. Had mixed feeling about owners but in the end there wasn't anything totally wrong. Animals seemed well and we got what we came for for very little price 2$.

I visited as a part of a tour and I enjoyed my time there.
You can get on top of a tall wall and walk on the wall watching the crocodiles down there.
However, there is not safety net or fence. I see a bit of a safety risk.
You can also pose for a photo, with a baby crocodile in your hand.
Thilina Dilshan — Google review
An interesting experience to see how they keep and grow crocs for commercial sale. Elevated walkways had me slightly worried about toppling over the handrails into the enclosures, and wondering if the larger specimens could actually climb up. Not a huge place and I had finished in 10 minutes.

Evil, cruel destination. Treated terribly the crocodiles. Severe animal cruelty for food and handbags. How this place exists in the 21st century is beyond me. Like going back 200 years in time. An absolutely shameful place in Cambodia. AVOID!
Robin Jepson — Google review
Took the kids here today and had the place to ourselves. Was concerned after reading other reviews that the owners English wasn't great.... But had no issues in communication. Plenty of crocs! Even got to hold some babies. So cheap for such a hands on experience. Would definitely recommend
monique VASCHETTY — Google review
The only good experience was holding a baby crocodile. The rest is more sad then anything. So many large crocodiles kept in small enclosures with very dirty water. There was even one dead one bloated and upside down floating in the water.
Another disappointing main attraction in battambang.
J F — Google review
This place is mental, when we arrived we didn't expect this many crocs. Being this close to them and feeling as frightened as we were haha, super fun! $2 entree, $3 if you want to hold a baby croc. Only downside is that you're not really able to communicate with the owners so any questions you have can't be answered. Overall a really fun experience :)
Bryan Janson — Google review
It’s a safe place for Crocodiles tour in a close range. They have all different sizes who lay everywhere.
They even have a baby crocs for the small children to touch and feel the skin. My daughter was allowed to catch one of them in her hands and she was so proud of it after all.
It’s important to let her know the danger of getting close to the big croc, but at the mean time, she learned not to scare things while it’s not necessary.
If you are in Battambang, I suggest you should go and see them yourself.
Jenny Sophorn — Google review
Amazing seeing so many crocs and being so close to them. From babies to fully grown adults, was definitely an experience and all for just $2.
Delta Romeo — Google review
I honestly don’t understand how people give such a place good ratings. This is an absolute nightmare regarding animal welfare. And all the photos here show the crocodiles with cut off tails.
Ever wondered for what these crocodiles are raised there under these circumstances?
Please, don’t contribute to this.
Alexandra Emilia Müller — Google review
Wow so many crocodiles and you get to hold a baby one. Had a lovely thrilling time for $2. You also get to walk around on yourself but there's a lot of sections with only one side of the rail so not for children or anyone with balance problems. Family run so she will answer any questions, she has children and chickens so if you all don't want to go in you can wait behind with them and just look at the baby crocs in a bucket :)

An actual farm chargjng a $2 entrance fee, not a tourist attraction. Be aware the pens are accessed by concrete walkways above the crocodiles with a rope seperating you from a fall... hang on to your kids! I enjoyed it

The condition is not well. Lots of people sitting around a burning litter and plastics or throwing them into the little pond.
Chicken, dogs and cats eating out of those huge garbage fields.
Signs telling people should take care of their plastics? Its always easy to throw something on the ground if there is already a lot there. Cleaning it up would prevent further littering.

An ancient Buddhist pagoda. The former main temple is on the process of putting its name into the World Heritage list. The temple itself is full of glories and horror.
During Khmer Krohorm period, the temple was used as a captive for prisoners who were mostly ordinary people. 10,008 people lost their lives.
The compound is tranquil and filled with calm after the tragedy.

Visitors can take a complimentary guided tour to learn about the intricate process of silk production, beginning with the very trees that envelop them. I went over there and I saw many tourists ( foreigners) as well local tourists enjoyed their relaxations with their families, their groups, their friends, and there are many local fruits for sales and its price is reasonable , tasteful, and sellers are so friendly and also water of Western Baray (Lake) is so clear and there are many boats for waiting the tourists to visit the Western Mebon Temple ( this temple in the middle of lake as in the east and there is 1 pagoda with) and I really like visiting this site and I can look the sunset or sunrise, too. This lake is so attractive with best personal regards from James.

The West Baray is an ancient Khmer Empire reservoir that was built close to 1,000 years ago. It was used both as both a religious monument with temples on an island and along the shore, and to irrigate the vast rice fields in the area. The ancient city of Angkor Thom was built just a short distance to the East of the West Baray.
Popular both with tourists visiting the Angkor temples and locals coming to enjoy a family outing along the shore. There are boats available to visit the island temple and a bathing beach with food shops, umbrellas and inner-tubes for rent, at the south-western corner of the Baray.

A huge, man made reservoir that was built to feed the waters into canals for rice fields, during dry season - that was being told to me! However, many locals would flock to West Barray especially at week ends and holidays for fun time!! A great time for family - swimming, boating. Hammocks were constructed and to rent out.
Local food being sold here.

Don't waste your time. It's 15 minutes away from airport, however once you get there you have to pay 20 USD per person to get a boat to temple.

If you’re visiting, have an interest in ancient engineering marvels, and have your own car, you should definitely see this from the west end of the baray. It’s hard to comprehend the effort it took to do this by hand. The west shore on the southern half has a lovely little park-like setting where the locals hang out.
