Playas Doradas, located in Río Negro Province, Argentina, is a tranquil tourist village known for its unique golden sands formed from fragmented quartz and silica. The beach stretches 3,000 meters along the coast and offers a serene environment for relaxation and sunbathing. With its gently sloping shoreline, Playas Doradas provides an ideal combination of sea, nature, and tranquility for visitors seeking a peaceful coastal retreat.
The nature reserve El Cañadon de las Ostras is a charming location, although the road leading to it may not be very attractive. However, with a bit of daring and patience, it is accessible by an average car. It is advisable to visit during the day for safety reasons. The place itself is a beauty, completely untouched by human intervention. It is recommended to bring your own provisions as there are no facilities in the area.
(Translated by Google) The place is very nice, but it is not easy to find. It is 2km walking along the beach, from the formation called the basement (an important cave inside the cliff). The canyon is a dry river, you have to enter from the beach, between the cliffs, on the ground you can see the other fossilized ones and walking a little further inside, there are these oysters on the rock walls. You have to go at low tide. There is no stop! You have to take everything!
(Original)

(Translated by Google) It is an interesting place to visit. To keep in mind, if you are in your own vehicle and it is not a van, you have to leave the car first and walk. It is a long and heavy stretch through the sand. Be careful where you leave the vehicle since the tide rises quite a bit during siesta hours.
(Original)

(Translated by Google) We arrived just when the tide was going out, you have to pay attention to that, otherwise it is not possible to get there. Beautiful place to explore, we didn't see anywhere to shop nearby, so you have to bring what you need.
It is advisable to carry a bag for waste, both for your own and for those carried by the wind, let's try to leave the place better than it was!!

(Translated by Google) In my case I would not return because in parts there is a very unpleasant smell coming from the sea, and that is precisely where the water is completely black. The other part where the water is clearer, there is no smell, but you have to walk quite a bit to get there.
It is very nice when the tide goes out, to take photos, get to know you and then leave.
We arrived by private car, we left it parked and began to walk a lot along the sand, we were lucky that there was low tide, I don't know if you can get there from another place, I totally don't know that information.
(Original)

Outdoor Activities
The beach Balneario Piedras Coloradas offers a stunning coastline, albeit with an unattractive route to reach it. However, with patience, one can easily access this picturesque destination. The beach provides rental umbrellas and a wide range of food and drink options, ensuring visitors have a complete experience. There is a parking fee of $500 and umbrella rentals start from $2,500 in February 2023.
Bellisimo!!!

(Translated by Google) Beautiful place but only at high tide and no wind. It has very high dunes and thick, clear sand. When the tide goes out the beach loses its charm due to the stones. There is usually algae and sometimes they have a bad smell.
The municipality should rake the beaches to clean those algae!

(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach!!! Much quieter than the central caves, although on weekends or in the middle of the season it is also very crowded (suggestion... arrive before 11 a.m. to park quietly). There are some shops to buy some food/drinks. If you like to be away from people, I recommend that when you get to the beach, you walk to the right until you reach the "colored stones". Behind them you will find another very nice little beach.
When I went, I had to see how a sea lion arrived and began to rest. A luxury!!!!

¡¡¡Hermosa playa!!!

(Translated by Google) horrific. We walked from the caves along the beach suffering from an UNCLEAN smell due to the algae, which we mistakenly believed would disappear when we arrived at the spa. We were clearly wrong. The spa has a hostel where we bought water that they charged us as if it came from Mount Fiji (very expensive, like everything), but nice. The sea was full of those filthy algae, which took away the desire to go into the sea. Then we returned to the parador to go to the bathroom, but a very unpleasant lady told us, in a very bad way, that the bathrooms were not public and that without consumption we could not use them, and that there were bathrooms outside. We went out and checked that there were bathrooms, but at the modest price of 500 pesos per head, as if peeing were a privilege and not a necessity. The only good thing was some wild kittens that were around that let us pet them and purred at us and a baby crab that we saw in a little puddle (attached video of seconds before its death by the seagulls). In short, terrible experience,
I don't recommend it even to my worst enemy.
(Original)

(Translated by Google) The beaches are beautiful, immensity and variety of shells. The two times we went we found them too populated and the impact with the few services there is felt (garbage, etc.). The water is almost warm and the children really enjoy it. You have to be organized with wind shields and something to protect yourself from the sun, which when reflected by the shell is quite intense. It's worth it!

Extremely dated and dirty.
I would never recommend it. The house coat I believe is original from over 50 years ago. I don't believe the carpet has ever been changed since the place was new.
(Translated by Google) We went to spend the day at the hot springs. The entry fee is $9000 per person.
The place has a lot of potential but needs several improvements to make the experience better. Aesthetically, the facilities are bad, there is a lack of cleaning and care in some basic things (e.g. there were many cobwebs in some sectors).
Regarding the water in the hot springs, they are excellent, only the outdoor pool should have a higher temperature for the winter.

(Translated by Google) It is a very nice place! The thermal bath leaves your skin feeling great!
The restaurant is not cheap at all, it was very expensive!!! It's a good idea to go to Luro to eat.
When the massages arrived they cost 13 thousand Argentine pesos. When ordering the massages they had already risen to 15 thousand. And for no reason...
The rooms are very large and comfortable. The jacuzzi in the bathroom was not working! 😭 and the cleanliness of the bathrooms was very bad!
There is an urgent need for a common water pool. This way you can have a better time when you spend so many days with children! Otherwise it's just to go for 2 days!

(Translated by Google) It's not a bad place, the 6 pools at different temperatures are pleasant. Even though it lacks infrastructure, a small room to eat or rest when leaving the pools, you almost have to fight for seats. For very little difference in money you can go to other more specialized thermal centers.

Plaza Rivadavia is a charming urban square adorned with monuments that pay tribute to the local history. Over the weekends, it becomes a hub for craft fairs. The plaza exudes elegance and timelessness, evoking nostalgic memories of early morning journeys to school during winter. Although some areas lack sufficient grass due to heavy usage over the years, this seems inevitable and adds character to its overall appeal.
Classy and almost timeless. Plaza Rivadavia brings memories of early morning crossing in the cold of winter to get on time to class at Colégio Nacional. I would love to see more grown grass. I can tell people uses it a lot more that 40 years ago. Maybe that is why has some areas going bold... But who isn't, right? Part of life. Happy to go across it again.

Deliciously to eat there. To can lunch every thing you want, that is, you can repeat!!
You can ask the cooker to prepare the dish of your preference and then complement with salads of your preference, as well. The same thing with dessert....all by the same price $9200 at the time of march 2024.
At the lunch time, too much people....if you decide to go, enjoy your meal.....

The Bahía Blanca Plaza Shopping mall is a bustling establishment, offering a wide range of attractions. Visitors can explore an array of retail shops, boutiques, and even a grocery store. Additionally, there is a food court where one can satisfy their cravings and enjoy meals at various cafes and restaurants that offer excellent dining options. The second floor provides numerous choices for lunch or dinner, including affordable options and vegetarian-friendly restaurants.
Very nice place. Easy to park and many shops to go. Cafes and restaurants are very good. On 2nd floor you have many options for lunch or dinner. You can find cheap meals. Some restaurants have vegetarians options. At lunch time is usually very quiet. Friday and Saturday nights is normally full.

The Garganta Olvidada nature park is a stunning and captivating destination that offers a breathtaking experience. It had been several years since I last visited, but upon returning, I was reminded of its true beauty. The park's charm lies in its ability to evoke the same emotions that were felt during the sinking of the Titanic. As you wander through the valley, the echoes of past melodies create a sense of what it must have been like when silence replaced those voices.
I had forgotten how attractive this beautiful nature park really is. I hadent been up here in a few years, but oh boy it was worth going up again. A beautiful place to sing the same tunes that were sang as the titanic went down. They echo down the valley and it gives you a sense of what it would have been like when the titanic disappeared and the voices were no longer heard. I don't mean to make it emotional or disrespectful, but more in remembrance to those that were lost. We did it for you guys!

There are 6 km of trails that take between 5 and 6 hours with great intensity in posts 1,5,6 and 7. Posts 2, 3 and 4 have a slight slope. Post 8 is a plateau that precedes the final attack on the window at Post 9 with a steep slope rising between large stones. Get there early to get a place to climb (120 places per day). You go up with park guides in groups of 15 people. A good way to verify the physical condition is to do the piletones days before the trail, that will give an idea of the effort that is required in the high intensity posts.

(Translated by Google) The first section (from the base to station 1) is killer. It's a little scary, but then it gets less steep. At this station you can decide to get off and continue along the path of the piletones and Garganta Olvidada (we didn't do it, but they told us there was little water).
There are 10 stations in total. Until the 4th you can go down on your own. If you decide not to continue after the 4th, the entire group becomes with you, since they cannot leave you alone. From the 5th to the 8th station there are larger stones that require longer strides. From the 8th to the 10th it is quiet.
The views are unmatched. So it's worth doing.
The "Russian" guide was spectacular. I highlight it because half of it was the landscape and the other half was his company and explanations of the area.
The entrance fee was $1000 to the Park and $7500 to climb the Hill, per person.
We were lucky enough to form a good group of 30 people (out of season they usually go less) and see a Moray Eagle, a Guanaco, among other specimens of fauna and flora of the place.
Since we visited the park during Holy Week and there were a lot of people, the groups got quite close together and we couldn't stay long when we got to the Window. We quickly took photos and left. I understand that it is so that more people can do it.
In high season I recommend going very early, the gate opens at 7:30 am, but people gather before that time. We went at 7 and there was already a line of cars. Since the quota is only 300 people, once it is full, it closes. It happened to us the first day we tried and we were left outside.

For my part, I hoped that they would offer us to taste other wines that they make in the place such as rosé or some sparkling wine, I also would have liked us to visit the vineyards, finally it would have been a 10 that the restaurant of the place provides attention to nibble something.

Monte Hermoso is a town located on the Atlantic coast of Argentina, some 100 km east of the city of Bahía Blanca, in the south of the Province of Buenos Aires. It is the administrative seat of the partido of Monte Hermoso. Wikipedia.
The closure of the beautiful and spacious beaches in Monte Hermoso to the public is regrettable. The beach and city reflect a great deal of respect from pedestrians and others. However, it is surprising that despite its beauty, the Faro Recalada's tourist potential remains unexploited. The lack of maintenance, including paint and care, is evident. Nevertheless, it remains undeniably stunning.

Mucha paz.

In these reviews a word is repeated that defines, in my opinion, the magnificent portal by Francisco Salamone: imposing. Not to be missed for those of us who admire the Italian-Argentine engineer and architect, despite the fact that his works were commissioned by a conservative government. They are works that today continue to attract the interest of tourists and walkers. The contrast between the monumentality of the portal and the size and simplicity of the cemetery and the entire town is incredible. The interior is well cared for, neat, although some tombstones are not maintained, they are broken. The vault of the family of the founder, Pedro Saldungaray, and a monument from 1910 in excellent condition stand out. A lot of peace.

It is a manifestation of the Art Deco style, recognized internationally.
This imposing architectural work, which is worth knowing, is composed of a large wheel that has a cross, and at its intersection the head of Christ.
Built by the artist Francisco Salamone, an Italian-Argentine architect, who lived and worked in Argentina and created, between 1936 and 1940, more than 60 buildings in 25 municipalities of Buenos Aires.

Impresionante obra. Imperdible.

Impressive work. I had the opportunity to appreciate it at various times of the day and it is incredible how the expressiveness of the head of Christ changes. Salamone's production is always interesting and, in this case, it leads us to a very personal trait: his gambling addiction. Apparently, behind the cross we have an immense roulette wheel. On the other hand, it generates a deep feeling of protection, even like a kind of sun that shelters the fallen. Safety pin.

I admit that, but at least they should continue providing a map of the city, it's easier to search for something like that, instead of swiping everywhere with your finger. The map is essential. Otherwise there are no complaints about the service.
Sierra de la Ventana is very beautiful, familiar, quiet, I have seen that most of the houses do not have bars, many leave the windows of their vehicles down and all that is inconceivable in Greater Buenos Aires. It's a shame about the spas due to the lack of water, the rivers have very little water. And perhaps the spas could be better decorated, more cared for, with cleanliness, places to sit, bathrooms. In very few places there are. Otherwise, it is a nice place to spend a mini vacation and explore the entire region.

It will be technologically advanced, but tourism in general likes to have a map, to see locations or mark what they have seen. Or plan excursions. The attitude of the lady who served left something to be desired. Tourism is the industry without chimneys. And all intangible services need friendly and pleasant people.
A weak point in the chain and for the customer, the entire service is bad. Here in Sierra de la Ventana, in Tourism they have a weak point that they should correct. A map, even if it is recycled paper, does not cost that much. And serve tourism well, much less.

A wonderful and very provincial museum in a tiny town... Like the title for a novel! We can discuss for a long time why copies of Mercedes are needed here or that the quality of restoration and completeness of many exhibits is extremely questionable. All this is far from Europe. And this is good! Because here you have the opportunity to look at the design of the suspension with a flashlight, crawl your head into the cockpit, or see what kind of file the champion Ferraris were made with...
The exhibits are almost not separated from the visitors and this is very nice! But, children and random people will be bored. All the interactivity in the museum is from the mid-twentieth century...

(Translated by Google) It is impressive to see and feel the work of nature that, in a space like this, shows its evolution, year after year you can see both the growth of plant species and the presence of birds and some animals that also do their work. If it were not for the state of abandonment and lack of maintenance that the recreation spaces affected by human beings present, the classic Miramar Nursery would deserve a much better rating,
It is good that there are spaces within this natural area to entertain everyone, a beautiful rugged beach, stoves for barbecues, being able to rent pedal vehicles or horses, but it is essential that these places are kept in good condition.
A special paragraph for the restaurant located here where you can not only have a snack or simply have a coffee at any time but also, and above all, which can be accessed at night.

The fishing pier, known as Muelle de pescadores de Miramar, is a traditional and popular spot in the city. It is an ideal place for leisurely walks at dusk, offering a long promenade that stretches along the sea. At the end of the pier, there is a traditional fisherman's utility area equipped with basins and small tables for cleaning catches and preparing fishing equipment. The location also offers great opportunities for sightseeing and capturing stunning sunset and sunrise photographs.
Beautiful.
Concrete and stone and grassy areas with a Sandy area down below.

At the pier's end point there is a traditional fisherman's utility including a basin and small tables to clean your catch and prepare your angles and lines. Very good also for sightseeing and sunset and sunrise photography.
