This is a beautiful soccer stadium to visit. Inter, how it is commonly known by its fans, or Colorado, is one of the biggest soccer teams in Brazil. World Champion, two times Libertadores champion, winner of Copa Sulamericana without any defeats, three times champion of Campeonato Brasileiro and one time champion of Copa do Brasil.

The Public Market of Porto Alegre is a great place to buy local produce and try out the different culinary delights the city has to offer. With 110 merchants selling art, crafts, snacks and more, there is sure to be something for everyone. The market gets busy at night so it's best to visit during daytime hours when it's less crowded.
Lovely old fashion building done in the format of many european markets with lots of well stocked stalls from the mundane to great delicatessen. Worth a visit plus make sure after this you walk towards the river where you can take catamara to Barra Shopping or to Guati for just over 10R or else an hour trip looking at all tourist sights with a different company for 30R cash or 35 if you pay with credit card. Either worth making the time to do as gives you a unique perspective of this gorgeous clean air city.

It's a beautiful and quite big park. Locals love to go on weekends and I would recommend to tourist do the same. The park is fun this days when is full of people, but can be quite dangerous the other days of the week. Here you can be robbed even with violence, so try to not go alone. Same applies to the city in general. Try to stay just were is other people and you will see just the nicer face of the city.

The Moinhos de Vento Park is a small city park located in the middle of the lively Moinhos de Vento neighbourhood, close to busy streets. The park has a pond and plenty of green space, perfect for people-watching or a quiet afternoon stroll. In the weekends, kids play on the small playground while parents take a break.

A fantastic city park in the middle of Porto Alegre. Lots of playground equipment for children to use, plenty of park benches and open spaces to have a picnic or just enjoy people watching. A marked fitness path circles the park as well. As of August 2023 the central pond area is closed for reconditioning, but still ple ty to do and see here!

It's nature. Nature is good. There were some geese, monkeys and ducks. Way too many spiders. The rocks, underneath the natural bathing areas along the creek that runs through the reserve, hurt my feet. A lot. But I guess that's just the way things are. The lifeguards are pretty cool and the landscape is gorgeous. Main bathing areas are the first drop which is like 10 feet high and 10 ft deep. Second is 14 high and 14 deep. The others are increasingly higher and deeper until the fifth one, the highest at 100 feet high and like 40 deep. (Those are my estimates, they've got signs everywhere, some of them are Portuguese only, some of them are Spanish and English as well. All of them are metric, though).
It's a family business. It could use some improvement on the insect riddled eating areas, IMO.

(Translated by Google) Service left something to be desired, I was in the store a few weeks ago with my nephew, willing to buy a Lakers tank top and something else that he liked, I knew that if it was original it would cost around 500 R$ or more, the question is that when we arrived at the store we were looked at from head to toe, and with an air of mockery the clerk took me to slip, little did he know that he had money to take half of the store if he wanted to, the great evil of salesman and continue judging the customer by the clothes at the time, and the people who are most able are those who exactly dress in a simpler and more restrained way, someone has to give some guidance to the attendants if they don't want to go without hitting the goal for this summer, if and that they do you have any goals, I'll probably be going back to the store next month and I want to do the stubborn cop to see if my day was just bad luck, or if the store treats customers like this all the time.

(Translated by Google) Wonderful place!!! As it is private property, entry is R$15 per person. Leave the car a little early and walk about 5 minutes to the waterfall. Super calm.
The road to the place goes through some bridges over the river, so it depends a lot on the weather. If it rained, it might be harder to cross, otherwise it's good.
Dogs are allowed!
It is forbidden to bathe under the waterfall and around it, but there is not a very good demarcation. There is usually one person to alert visitors.
I recommend getting into the water with flip-flops/sneakers/sneakers, as there are a lot of small, loose, pointed rocks, and for walking it's even better.

Local maravilhoso!!!

(Translated by Google) The waterfall is very beautiful. Crystal clear water, very cold, lots of rocks. There is an entry fee for a life insurance policy. Those coming from Porto Alegre via the Freeway, when accessing the road in the city, it takes +- 1h on a dirt road.
See the weather forecast, as the access road passes through 4 concrete bridges and one wooden bridge over the river. See the road on the map
At the waterfall site, you CANNOT enter coolers, buoys, snacks.. only bathers with flip-flops, cell phones and towels. You can take your farofada but you will have to return to the car.
I advise children to wear flip-flops or suitable tennis shoes inside the waterfall, it has many rocks.
Arrive early (8:30) around 11:00 there are already many families.

Acqua Lokos, a serene establishment boasting cozy log cabins and offering an array of amenities such as a water park, petting zoo, restaurant, and bar. The water park itself provides thrilling rides that are pleasurable for visitors, along with delectable food options at reasonable prices. However, it is advisable to avoid weekends due to potential long queues. This remarkable destination presents diverse opportunities for amusement and dining experiences.
Incredible place. First, it's huge and there's so much to do. Took our 3 year old and there were a surprising amount of activities for someone her age. There are lots of pools and splashpads, various water slides for all ages and aventurine levels, a lazy river, a wave pool, pedal boats on the lake, a train ride to a farm with animals, roller coasters (even for toddlers), a ferris wheel, multiple play areas/ playgrounds. You could easily spend a couple of days here enjoying the park.
There are also bathrooms everywhere which is so nice with a little kid.
Tons of food choices and lots of chairs/ umbrellas for shade.
They also have a giant indoor water area if you want to go in the winter or even just get out of the sun a bit.
Overall amazing experience and if I lived closer I'd be getting the annual pass.

Aparados da Serra National Park is a natural wonderland located on the border of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. Covering an area of 102.5 sq km, this park is home to the magnificent Itaimbezinho Canyon and several footpaths, waterfalls, monkeys, and other wildlife. The vast pastures give way to stunning canyons that drop down to 720m depths making it an amazing place for nature enthusiasts.

Itaimbezinho is the most visited canyon in the region, located in the Aparados da Serra National Park, just 18 km from Cambara do Sul. Accessible via a stone dirt road, it offers lush trails with sweeping views of the gorge and surrounding park. The 3.5km walk to see the canyon exit is highly recommended for its impressive landscape, making it a great destination for families.

The most beautiful part of this place is the nature. Therefore there's no have safe structure for your children or pets. There's no signals or posts of directions on the road. Nature & Parks
This scenic and demanding hiking trail alongside a flowing river showcases numerous cascades and natural pools. The initial portion of the trail may be challenging, but the journey along the river and frequent crossings provide an exceptional trekking experience. The culminating sight, known as the portal, is absolutely awe-inspiring. The 8-hour hike involves traversing rocky terrain, making it a technically demanding endeavor. It is advisable to have a guide upon entering the park.
This felt like a quite different, challenging and one of the most rewarding hiking experience for me.
Normally when I hike, I end up in a lake, or a waterfall, or a hill with a good sight (which certainly is cool on its own). This hike is different. It goes through the river, surrounded by the great canyons walls, it has not one but a few pools and waterfalls through the way - very beautiful - and you need to actually cross the river around 20 times through the track.
We went in the winter so unfortunately it was a bit cold for us to enter the pools and waterfalls (even without entering them it was a 6-7 hours hike), so to take best advantage of the hike, go in the summer.
The above said, this was also a fairly challenging hike. The path is not a easy one as you will be mostly moving through rocks alongside the river. You need to be in reasonable shape to do it as it will be a quite long hike, and be careful with your steps on the rocks.
Lastly, in this hike it is mandatory that you to go with a registered guide so make sure you hire one before you go on it.
Julio Chigashi — Google review
Absolutely amazing! The beginning of the trail is a bit tricky, but the trekking along the river and all the times you have to cross it from one side to another, are really good as a trekking experience. And the final view, the portal, breath taking.

I understand the fact that you need local guides to go to Rio do Boi, but they could provide easier entry for those who already have experience with trails, the fact of depending on the local guide unfortunately inhibited us from following the trail simply out of ego, in We were late for the start of the trail and they wanted to leave and not be late for the return trip, this doesn't make sense considering the cost of hiring the guide and also the technical effort, which is very low.
