Events are held in this bustling park with a central, bronze statue of Francisco de Paula Santander.
It is safe and has security and the Christmas displays are top notch. There is a Rico bar overlooking the park with good views.

Feeding the pigeons was very fun. Center of Cucuta so there's a lot of street vendors and a lot of shopping options.
Bunrong Rey — Google review
In many cities of Colombia, the main square is dedicated to Simon Bolivar. But in Cúcuta, to General Santander. Classic colonial town square. The church, the administrative center and various commercial areas are gathered around the square. In the middle is a statue of General Santander. It is one of the few places where you can take nice photos.
Öner Buçukcu — Google review
Beautiful square. Plenty of pigeons and street vendors. I recommend to visit during the day rather than the evening. It was my impression that shady characters were roaming in the plaza.
Marco Giovanetti — Google review
Its a beautiful place to take yourself some pictures with pigeon, whom will come and eat from your palm if you give them food. Also, you can see the beautiful church of San Jose. There is a lot of street businesses that can help you with your tummy and at some point you can get free wifi from a nearby wifi station..

Parque Cerro del Santísimo is a hilltop park in Floridablanca, Santander, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area. The park features a 33-meter high sculpture of Jesus of Nazareth, making it a significant pilgrimage site during Holy Week. Visitors can reach the park via cable car and enjoy the stunning city vistas from the mirador.
Timing it appears is everything. We arrived at 2.30pm and there were no queues, no crowds. It was marvellous. Entertaining for kids, young and old, with the trampoline course.
Gary Charman — Google review
We hiked up here from downtown Bucaramanga all the way to the El Santísimo lookout. It took about 3 hours walking through the main road. It was totally worth it! Astonishing view of Bucaramanga. There are restaurants and stores up there to enjoy the view. If I live in Bucaramanga, I would come here very often.

Make sure you park at the bottom and take the teleferico up. We made the mistake of driving to the top, the teleferico is included in the price, so save yourself the mountain driving. Had some nice traditional dancing while we were there. Worth a visit for sure. We rode the teleferico down just to take the ride. Has a few shops and food places near the statue.

This place is truly worth a visit. It has a stunning view of the city of Bucaramanga. The statue of Jesus blessing the city is beautiful and the mirador that tops it give further view of the entire region. All the people working there were extremely kind. The 15 minutes fountain show in the evening hours is also nice to see and finally getting back with the cable in the night was a unique expeeience with no other sound that the night forest life.Truly had a quality time there.

Great view of the city, a nice family plan as well-and a couple of traditional restaurants to try the local cursive. Do park before going uphill, the cable car is included in the ticket!

Beautifull experience. One of the must do things when visiting Bucaramanga. Very nice place. Peacefull, great view and you will enjoy every penny spent. If the top view on the plaza is not enough, you can go with the elevator up, which costs about 5.000 pesos to get an even higher view on top of the statue. You can buy foods, drinks, famous "Oblea".. Recommended to do!

It is very organized I love how the people from Santander take care this beautiful park the only thing that I feel no connected in this beautiful park it was the music. They play loud music from different countries like bachata, mariachi, even soft rock and I really love to listen Colombian music like cumbia, bambuco, bullerengue, pasillo, joropo, sanjuanero and many more it will be nice to play only colombian music it will be better to make this place more magical like the fountain show 100% Colombian heart...

Take the cable car ride up to this amazing view of Bucaramanga/Floridablanca - there are drinks, food, and entertainment via dances and light & water shows to add to the incredible views of Colombia!
Brandon Cowley — Google review
Nice safe place to visit. At 6.15 pm is the first light show with fountains. Entrance costs 22000 COP which is to expensive for Colombians. I suggest to arrive at 5pm to see the city Bucaramanga at day and night. I took taxi till entrance, last part off road is bad. To return ask guard at entrance to call a taxi. Don't forget to eat the famous and delicious obleas (shop before entrance) with the funny names
Luc Gabriels — Google review
Very organized and for $22.000COP for adult is a very good plan. Besides the cable car ride, the cost include also a couple of shows, one dance representation of the Santander Region and also a light show at a water fountain.

Astonishing view of the Chicamocha Cayon! Santander is top on most beautiful departments to contemplate in Colombia. This park has fun natural attractions, monuments, great service and great beer, since there is a stand of local craft beer, De Los Santos, that may refresh your day. There are live performances of musicians and dancers and also plenty of restaurant to try the local food. You can easily get amazing photos and videos that will remain in your mind and phone forever! An entire one day trip.

Very nice area with a lot of things to do (Aqua Park, Cable car, Amusement Park, Restaurants, Viewpoints). The price is a bit steep, but you can easily spend a whole day there. The cable car station closer to Bucaramanga is much smaller in regard to things to do, so keep that in mind.

Amazing place to visit. Nice accommodations available. Friendly staff and many restaurants and cafeterias available. The Canyon itself is extraordinary experience like nothing we have seen ever before. There is a roof on top of the park with 360 degree view. The prices are fair and nothing extremely expensive. There are many extreme sports available such as extreme swing, paragliding etc... There is cable car that takes you all the way down to the canyon and up to the other side where there are more accommodations and restaurants. Highly recommended.
Shayan Taheripoor — Google review
Worth every penny. I read many reviews saying that the entrance fee is expensive. This park was built on the side of a canyon, that's not cheap!
Facilities are great (clean bathrooms throughout the park) good restaurants and attractions for everyone. Be ready to spend at least few hours taking in the massive views. Bring comfortable shoes and clothes.
Paula Hurtado — Google review
I recommend to go out of the high season for almost no queues. Activities are fun but the best are the views around.

A very beautiful and enjoyable experience. Be prepared to walk, good comfortable shoes are a must. Second deepest Canyon in the world, Grand Canyon being the first. Cable cars across the Canyon from Mesa de Los Santos to Parque Chicamocha was spectacular, about a 15 minute ride. A very clean and safe place to visit, beautiful flora all over the park. Places to eat and drink. Zip line was awesome. A very modern water park also. Approximately one hour from Bucaramanga by car. Definitely recommend seeing this majestic place.

Aratoca, Km. 54 Via Bucaramanga - San Gil, Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia
El Gallineral Natural Park is a sprawling 4-hectare island park in San Gil, Colombia. The park features walkways that wind through trees adorned with silvery moss known as old man's beard. Visitors can enjoy the serene riverside, an observation deck offering stunning mountain and countryside views, and even embark on mountain biking tours from the park.
Beautiful! I enjoyed have a walk and relax and look at the plant. They have coffee plants too. I saw a capybara! It made my day :)
It is a great option to relax and be away from the noisy traffic of San Gil. Also it is only ten minutes away from the centre and the day pass is really cheap.
Laurent B — Google review
It was an incredible experience. The park is beautiful, they do charge though, all the information we found about it didn’t say anything about it, but it is not expensive, only $7.000 pesos. Animals are hard to find, but you will still enjoy it!!!!

It's a great place to know more about the nature, feed some squirrels (for 1 thousand COP), and know about the Guanes the ancient population of San Gil.

Beautiful botanical garden nested on an island in the river. There are a few trails to walk by the river among tropical trees and plants. Also has a nice swimming pool.
There could be more signs though for education about the plants.

The place was kind of abandoned maintenance wide. It has beautiful sight's and it's close to the river, so you can go to the beach if you want. There's nothing different than landscapes or food (inside the place). There are no activities available different than walking around.

Really nice park with greenery and river in the middle. Nice way to spend an hour or so.
Gave 4 stars because it has just rained and a lot of the path was really really slippery so needs some attention :)

This is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever been to. There are so many things I liked and found very interesting, including the beautiful flowers, the fascinating variety of trees that adorn the entire place, the running river that fills the place with the sounds of splashing water and the 2 little ponds that fit in perfectly in the whole scenery. I would most definitely recommend a visit there.
Dimitrios Spyridon Chytiris — Google review
Beautiful, super green park. The majority of the park contains nature walking trails with huge trees, a river and so much to see.
There is also a restaurant that had good food and a swimming pool.
Great place! I would visit again.

A pretty and peaceful stop to while away some hours and stretch your legs. We visited with our two small kids (1 and 4 years old) while on a road trip from Bogota to Los Santos. It was an easy win with the kids - lots of squirrels, birds and turtles to check out, some interesting plants for the adults, a decent playground and good restaurant (Plates were big and we shared, otherwise you could say it is a bit overpriced). Entry is 6k per adult and we didn’t have to pay for the kids. Pool was 10k/person - we opted out.

Great place to walk around and take pictures. Right downtown. Free if you are 60+, otherwise less than $2 each. A great activity for an hour or two.

Large zoo with African animals & a cultural musuem, plus a waterpark with slides & a lazy river.
Amazing experience. I felt like I was on a African Safari. Many animals roamed free so you can literally walk up to them.

This park is really nice, but bring lots of water. It gets really hot and there is just not enough shade for guest. If your planning to attend the water park just come prepared with a change of clothes a towel. Also don’t forget the sun block your gonna need it.
Jose Rodriguez — Google review
I was brought to this area because of the Hippos that live wild in the area. It was neat to see Vanessa, the hippo, up close and even feed her. However, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. She was alone in her enclosure, I wish they would put her in the nearby lake with the others. With so many living wild in the nearby Magdalena River, what's one more?
As for the other animals, some were in good condition others weren't. You can see what I mean below with the ostrich's eye. I'm no hippo expert either, but it did look like Vanessa was sad.. but maybe that's how they always look, I'm unsure.
The waterpark is neat and if you're into that sort of thing definitely go. My girlfriend and I went twice whilst in Doradal. It is marketed toward families and children, but nonetheless we had a great time at the water park. The park is priced how you would expect any other zoo, safari, or event, etc.
Be aware that you will need to pay extra to take a Motocarro through the Safari since it is too big to walk and see the animals. Which is a plus, many animals did have a lot of space, but others didn't. I believe our motocarro that took us around the park cost us about 100.000COP. Which was a bit expensive, but just know you can negotiate a bit too.
I hope the park continues to improve the animals' conditions and educate the public about wildlife conservation.
I recommend finding a way to see the hippos in the wild if you can. While it's sad how they got here and they are the largest invasive species, they are fascinating to see. I've attached a few pictures from that trip. Boating down the river you see SO MUCH more than just hippos. We spotted caimans, birds, and monkeys all in their wild habitat which was just amazing.
Michael Banfield — Google review
I enjoyed everything about this place. The wildlife, the scenery, the water parks, the hospitality of the people who work there, and the list could go on. I especially had a great time feeding Vanessa and having that close encounter with the hippos. If you aren't staying in the park, I would recommend getting there as soon as it opens so you can have time to explore everything this park has to offer. I didn't get a chance to see the museums or visit all of the water parks because I got there too late, however, overall a fun experience.
Katerin Ortega — Google review
If you stay in one of the park hotels (inside or outside), the tickets are cheaper.
Nicolás Vallejo — Google review
I enjoyed the selection of animals to view. We were there in the morning so the animals were in the enclosures either eating or having a after eating nap. Some of the animals spent their whole time trying to find a escape route or by themselves. There was not clear instructions of where to go throughout the park. We walked 11 kilometres in a very short time. We were also not given a option to drive through the park. Food and drinks were very overpriced. The first wrist band was put on to tight. They charged me full price to replace it. Not cool at all.

"Parque Hacieda Nápoles" a place to go with family, friends or on a honeymoon, ideal for swimming, experiencing the adrenaline of the water slides, relaxing in the jacuzzis or in its lazy river, enjoying a waterfall of clear waters, walk along the ecological trails, or go by car to explore the savannah, etc. connect with nature and with loved ones, recharge with good energy... I enjoyed it too much, its staff is dedicated to the safety of everyone in its facilities and help those transferred by its facilities, its African air and its cleanliness make it Immerse yourself in a dinosaur movie...Highly recommended!! a place to return..!!

Went on a weekday it wasn’t very busy. The safari can be done all by driving around in your car and stopping by each shelter. It gets very hot in this area so make sure to bring sunscreen. I give the overall experience 3 stars because I was hoping for more in the museum part of the park where it talks about Escobar. I get they want to remove the image but something more than just some burnt cars and pictures would’ve made it way better.
Daniel — Google review
I went here with my husband and his family. It’s a very fun park with many different water slides, pools, etc. The food and drinks are overpriced in the park, but it’s still a fun family activity for the weekend. We got the passes to all the water parks and I highly recommend getting the pass that lets you go to the high water slides if you’re not afraid of heights. Nápoles is very hot so these water parks are very refreshing! The zoo is wonderful to walk through. It’s also very interesting to learn about Pablo Escobar in the museum. Hope you and your family can have fun at this park!

Established in 1865, the Church of Our Lady of Carmen captivates visitors with its central altar, a centerpiece of detailed wood carvings. The artistry extends to the side altars, each carved with equal skill and care. By 1930, the church had been equipped with benches for the congregation and updated with bells that reverberated throughout the area. During our visit, we had the chance to peek inside amid a service.

Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Guatapé church is a very beautiful and large Catholic church located right on the main square. Its construction began in 1865. The church was inaugurated two years later but it took 70 years to complete the building. The church was built in the Greco-Roman style, characterized by large arches (you can see a lot of them inside) and circular bevels that adorn the bases and tops of its columns. The church strikes its visitors with its clean and exquisite lines and decor mainly made out of carved wood. It has a magnificent large altar. The entry is free and it is highly recommended to visit if in the neighborhood.

Not much, if any, English is spoken here so either brush up or bring a friend that can translate.

Excellent place to enjoy a nice day surround nature. You can find multiple activities like rafting, canopy and nice river beaches to have an swim. Do not forget the mosquito repellent you might need it.
Andrés Moreno — Google review
The river was poop brown, the administration was horrible. We were told to be in the park before noon for our tour, and when we arrived at 10:45a they said we had to wait 3 hours because the last tour group left and there were no other tour guides to help us. None.
We asked if we could just use their life jackets because we had already paid, and they told us no. We tried to leave and get our money back, but they told us they could not.
Zero communication, zero service, zero "Rio Claro".
Don't come here, not worth the trouble.

Great tours and customer service. Sketchy security. A European couple had their car broken into and everything stolen while they were there and security said the camera wasn't working at the time. They recommend you leave things with reception but you are trusting them and their methods to keep your stuff save. Highly recommend they build up security and provide a safe locker room with good locks and cameras.

Absolutely beautiful. A must see if your in Columbia and have time. About a 2 hour drive from Medellin. They have Zipline / rafting / Biking . Call ahead and book if you want to do any of those activities. If you just want to visit and walk around booking is not needed.

Autopista Medellín-Bogotá #Km 154, San Francisco, Antioquia, Colombia
The prominent natural formation, also known as El Penon de Guatape, is a massive granite monolith that towers over the Embalse Guatape. Standing at an impressive height of 200 meters, it features a wide crevice through which visitors can access its peak via a brick staircase comprising 659 steps. The summit offers breathtaking panoramic views of the region including the sprawling lake and surrounding green mountain ranges.
Lovely nature with the lakes around and the climb to the top of the mountain is around 750 steps. The view is absolutely amazing from there. You could just take an uber from medelin which costs around 120K COP for a car or the piblic bus which is 25K per person.
Jan Maik Baumann — Google review
Nice view, would recommend going after 2pm during weekdays, wasn’t crowded at all when we got up! Nice views, sun was out. In the morning there was some rain and much clouds. And between 11 and 1 lots of tourbusses come i guess.
Rik van de Wiel — Google review
After putting off our trip for months, we finally made it to El Peñol, and it truly lived up to expectations! Even on a weekday, there were plenty of people around. Climbing the rock costs 18,000 pesos, which you pay at the entrance before starting up the steps. The granite rock remnant stands at 650 feet, and while it looks intimidating, I found the climb reasonably short, especially compared to other hikes I've done in South America, Europe, and Asia, finishing it in about 15-20 minutes. You don't need to be in tip-top shape to reach the top, but you will get a solid workout. The view from the top is stunning as you look out over the small islands scattered across the reservoir.
trent lawrence — Google review
We were in town Easter weekend so all of Guatape is full of people. It says it does not open until 8am. But we jumped on a larger "jeepney" style ride - bigger than tuc-tuc and people hopped in and off along the way. Was only 2500 COP each from Guatape to the bottom of the Piedra. There are tuc-tucs that can take you up to the entrance - which is a great view. We hiked up since we were early. Left Guatape 6:45am - got to the rock a little before 7am. Got to the entrance around 7:30am and there was already a line. Be sure to get your tickets at the booth to your left - then line up to enter (up the steps) to your right. Tickets are 20,000 a person. They were letting people in early and we were in before 7:45 am.
It was nice and cool and breezy and not crowded. So glad we got there early. Beautiful views, very strong, well made steps, gift shops, toilets, first aid, and refreshments available at the top. I have asthma but i just took a few breaks a long the way and I made it to the top. Fabulous panoramic views of the lakes and mountains! Glad we made it! We met up with a beautifully painted tuk-tuk when we exited the gated area and he took us back to Guatape for 6000 each - 12,000 cop for the 2 of us.
Pat Cruz — Google review
a must-see sight in a cool town from when you’re looking at day trips from Medellin. The bus ride will take you over 2 hours. When you get to the rock, there’s about 600 steps. It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the top, and it was quite a strenuous hike. Views are worth it
Ralph N — Google review
The trek up was quite easy, around 15 minutes but it depends on your level of fitness. Views from the top were stunning in each direction. Would definitely recommend.

worth the trip. Absolutely. Free bathrooms where you buy tickets to go up the rock. Don’t need to pay people at the restaurants.
Go to the cafe next to the exit of the rock for good views and cafe.
Clean, well organized and secured. Super safe and epic views.

I enjoyed my time at El Peñón de Guatapé because the whole community is awesome. First of all the steps of the mountain are amazing. Make sure you pace yourself and take the entire walk up! he views are insane!!
DJoumbarey Moreau — Google review
One of the best views in Colombia. The climb might be hard if you’re not in shape or if you’re pregnant or really old (or disabled- not possible). 700 steps from ticketing (20mil cop each), plus if you’re by foot from main road add to it like 300 more.
There are two view points from above, some stores and free bathroom.

Great hike to the top and lots of eateries. Can’t miss a boat tour!

Fascinating attraction to visit. The climb appeared to be tough but was actually quite manageable. Likely to take 20-30 minutes to climb to the top depending on the crowd. With more people, the climb would be slow, hence not strenuous. Fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding area at the top. Very busy. It's worth a trip
CK Cheong — Google review
Be prepared for a good amount of stair climbing 756... but the panoramic view from the summit is absolutely worth the effort. The vistas are stunning, and the town itself is charming to wander through.

Beautiful place! It is truly a must to climb up all of the stairs! It doesn't matter if you're not in good shape or are a little bit old just take your time and rest a minute catch your breath and give it your all!

Great time! You can go alone, or with the tour guide, I recommend going with a tour guide, make sure you pick the right one. 740 steps can be accomplished in about 20 minutes going up (if you’re healthy). Beautiful 360° views.
There are a lot of vendors leading up to the rock where you have to pay to use the bathroom but if you wait and go to where you have to buy tickets, there’s a free bathroom right by the first steps to go up the rock.
Thea Rose — Google review
It's quite a hike (740 steps and about 200 m) but the view is worth it. The restaurants and souvenir shops above are a bit distrative since it's mandatory to go through them to reach the top. No cameras in the staircase or aid-team, that brings a bit safety issue. Hope that it will have more accessible way of getting up in the future.
Leo Lin — Google review
This is definitely a fairly busy attraction. Despite being very busy it wasn’t too bad of an experience. I am glad I went, I guess.
Cal Read — Google review
25000 cop entry fee. Different paths to go up and down. The way down don’t have any views. A good exercise but takes 10 mins to climb if you are really fit. 20-25 mins max if you take breaks. They sell beverages in thr top. Great views.
R K — Google review
A huge rock worth climbing. It takes about 15-20min to climb up 659 steps while enjoying a woderful view. There is a bar a souvenir shops up top, and several viewing decks.
I recommend coming before 10am, as it gets very crowded after that, and the staircase is not too wide. Seperate narrower staircase is used to climb down.
There are several restaurants and souvenir shops at the bottom of the rock.

Absolutely stunning. Not swamped by tourists, especially if you have your own vehicle. There's a good paved road to the main gate, except for the last 5km which can be driven slowly in most any car. Tours are available from Manizales or twice a day from the gate. You can also drive past the gate with your own car on the dirt road. No motorcycles allowed past the gate because of previous louts going off road and causing damage.
If you decide to go around towards Murillo make sure you have a very high clearance vehicle or dual sport motorcycle. That route is definitely not for the average "tourist".

The Nevado del Ruiz also known as La Mesa de Herveo (English: Mesa of Herveo, the name of the nearby town) is a volcano located on the border of the departments of Caldas and Tolima in Colombia, about 129 kilometers (80 mi) west of the capital city Bogotá. It is a stratovolcano composed of many layers of lava alternating with hardened volcanic ash and other pyroclastic rocks. Volcanic activity at Nevado del Ruiz began about two million years ago, since the Early Pleistocene or Late Pliocene, with three major eruptive periods. The current volcanic cone formed during the present eruptive period, which began 150 thousand years ago.

Family venue featuring a water park with pools & slides, plus a zoo with reptiles & jungle cats.
I went on Friday (better than weekend). It wasn't busy. I enjoyed with my two kids (7 and 8 years old). There were just few water slides where they can't access cause they are less than 1.3 meters tall (the minimum is 1.1 meters). You have to wear swimming cap for all the water slides. The food was quite good, fresh and delicious. There weren't many options but we were just in the restaurant in front of the octopus water slide. We didn't visit the other restaurants in the park. I also recommend the ship to explore the park lake, it's short but fun.
A great plan to enjoy with little kids (taller than 1.1 meters :) ) and family.

+ It's cool place to have fun.
+ It's clan and safe
+ Staff help you with everything
- Staff is so slow during their work :D
- Food is not fresh
- Management could better organize workers (for example on some attractions visitors waits too much time for equipment).
- Don't go there during the weekends. Too many people, it's a hell
- you have to have your own locker. Don't buy it outside. They sell lockers from China and you can open with one key any other locker
+ Wednesday/Friday there are not so many visitors

Nice water park to visit if you're in the area but not worth a special trip. Good amount of big slides but quite a walk away from each other. Different types of animals are found throughout the property. Park does offer a transportation bus to travel the park. Good sized lockers available thru out the park but you need to buy your own lock which you can buy outside the park or within.

I enjoy my time at the park. It has clean facilities, beautiful views and nice swimming pools. The Catedral de Manizales, located on the south side of Plaza de Bolivars, is a unique and impressive Catholic cathedral. Completed in 1939, it boasts a rose window and canopy on the main altar. Constructed of reinforced concrete, this cathedral represents one of the first churches of its kind in Latin America. Its main tower stands at an impressive height of 106m; making it the tallest church tower in Colombia.

I think it's one of the best in Colombia. Glass work is great. The cost of participating in a touristic tour inside the cathedral is 13,000 COP per person. Children are 8,000 COP. With this tour, you can also climb to the highest point of the cathedral. Inside, on the 2nd floor, there is a cafe overlooking the square. The service in the cafe is bad but the coffee is good.

Very, very nice from the top. It's the tallest church from Columbia. You can only reach the top if you book a tour which takes 75 min and is in spanish language. The tour was very interesting and costs 13.000 COP per person. It's especially recommended to do the tour at 17:00, to see the city by sunset/nighttime when the lights turn on.

Nice spot to poke your head in and take a look. This magnificent Basilica has a cafe on the upper level that was really nice and has a great view overlookong the main square. The Monumento a Los Colonizadores is a striking 15-meter-high bronze sculpture located in the neighborhood of Chipre. Crafted from 50 tonnes of bronze, it depicts pioneers with their tools and animals, symbolizing the city's founders. The monument offers a spectacular view over Manizales and PNN Los Nevados. Additionally, it features two separate sculpture sets: one representing the city's founders and another named "Agony," depicting the city suffering from an earthquake.
This will be forever one of the most wonderful pieces ever created. Love the story love the art. Moving! Also, best view of Manizales and part of the coffee axe.

This monument is composed of two separated sculpture sets. While the one at its center gives the name to the monument, it's the other one hidden at the back that made my trip worth it. This one, named "Agony" a miniature of the city layed as it was suffering from an earthquake, while the surrounding bulls withstand the blow. The entire piece is well crafted and it's a metaphorical representation of a dramatic event.

Hacienda Venecia Coffee Farm Experience is a hotel situated on a coffee plantation that boasts of two outdoor pools and an expansive garden. The establishment has received several accolades for its production of high-quality Colombian coffee. Visitors can participate in English-speaking tours that provide an informative presentation about the coffee industry and include classes on cupping and preparation techniques, followed by a walking tour around the plantation. Additionally, visitors can enjoy typical Colombian lunch for COP$15,000 or engage in Barista workshops.
Just go, and stay at the main house, it's stunning! Don't book or have them put you in the smallest room, the tanager, it's the same price as the other 4 rooms, and really should be cheaper! Staff are lovely, on site meals home made, good and fairly prices, swimming pool and birds around, and nature. Loved it!!

I stayed two nights in the hostel which was incredibly well organized. Be prepared to cook your own food although the mini mart in the hostel is well stocked. You can bring your own ingredients in.
You are out in the middle of a huge hacienda and free to roam the area. They have some hikes up and down the hills well mapped.
The tour was really interesting as they take you through understanding coffee, the picking and fields and into the processing.
Only one thing could be better. Wifi in the dorm area is overloaded and slow. It's better if you go to reception or the main house if you want to take a meeting!

We stayed for 4 nights at Venecia. The location is beautiful and the house staff were so friendly and looked after us very well with good food and service. However,we had the worst room (rm 1) which was right next to the entrance and therefore no privacy if window/shutters was open, so dark.We asked the office/reception twice to move rooms and despite constant changeovers of guests over 4 nights they couldnt be bothered. When we paid our bill there was no thanks.Everything else was amaxing, coffee tour was excellent.

This place is amazing. Staff is friendly, funny, super helpful, in good mood and speaking fluently English. I was there for coffee tour. Group was small, we were only 9 people and it was Sunday morning (tour started at 9:45). It was in English, guide was awesome guy, speaking fluently, told us a lot of interesting facts. He answered all of our questions, some related to topic, some not so much. Tour had funny and friendly atmosphere. You can also buy their coffee there, 3 types, grinded or whole bean. It costs 35 000cop for 250g bag. If you want you can ask them and they will sell you big bag used on farm to carry coffee around for 20 000cop. You can use it as decoration. I will put it on the wall when I come back home (you can see bag on the wall in one of the pictures). It is easy to get there, even by bus, because only thing you need is to take bus or taxi and leav it next to the Las Palmas restaurant. From there you can call them or text them on WhatsApp and their employee will pick you up by car. If you are in Manizales and you want to see coffee farm, have cocoa tour, barista course or something, this is great place to do it, 100% recommend. It is suitable for kids and elderly people, too.

This farm is beautiful! I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s a perfect way to explore the true Colombian jungle. The main house was relaxing and a nice way to meet new people. The best part was the incredibly nice staff who made us feel at home and took extra good care of us and our baby. Highly recommend!
Lively resort offering 7 restaurants, a bar & a game room, plus a water park with 5 outdoor pools.
I liked it a lot. It features a hotel, two big pools, cabins, various restaurants, a pathway to walk.

Good natural location. Huge park. 30 minutes from Ibague.
Bad service in restaurant, poor food offer.
Only 5 showers for men in the entire park for over 400 people.
Dirty water pools.
Parking area located too far from the park entrance.

Very clean water today! I love playa Hawaii! Wonderful atmosphere! Have a great lunch special! Sun got me! No shaded area for the large swimming pool! Had a great time there!

Excellent service, everything is clean, confortable rooms, if anything the kitchen should be open more time for people staying overnight as Ibague is at 30 minutes by car, totally recomend the place, something different to get away of the city and find artificial beach and swiming pools

This site is good to go and enjoy a sunny day and a swimming Pool. It has a environment for children and adults, there is an option to stay, get food and above all it is very quiet.

The food is very regular. Costumer service is really poor. Bad attitud specially in the dinning. The cleaingliness and maintance of the rooms is very bad except for the bed linnen. The pools and nature are nice. Won't go back it needs a lot of improvement.

We were with my family, It was our first time and i'd love to highlight the service of Mr. Rojas and Mr. Celis, gentlemen in the entrace. As well, a small kiosk operate by an amazing young guy and kind woman. Snacks are yummy and tropical, unfortunatly the place itself needs more attention, manteinance, and customer service. Restaurants are really limit in offerings. Pools just work till 5 and seems that every staff dissapeared at that time. Which i concluded they need more people to help.

.
I Hope in less than 2 months they get ready to big events like jamming beacuse if they continue with the same service will be so poor.

When it's hot and you don't have a pool available, this hits the spot. There are camping spaces near the "beach" (pictured). However, cold bottled water and food options were scarce today (post-COVID). Also, make sure to take a swimming cap to enter the water and a ball to use the sand volleyball court. The water slides are closed for 2 hours from 12:30. The morning was less full than the afternoon.

Most facilities are ok. Restrooms deserve a revamp. It's too expensive for the services offered. Parking service is not included and security is pauper. Maui restaurant is low quality. Slides are open certain times

The place is ok for the price. They do not help kids as they should. My niece requested wifi passcode.. as they say free wifi. But they said they had bad signal...
They just set a wrong code on my niece cell.. that is annoying. .. first and last time here.

This park has the tallest and leafy mangoes trees in a public space I ever seen! It also has ancient and big acacias . You really has to stop and take a look of the vegetation and carefully listen to the birds around. The chapel is a beautiful place and there is a corner for eating great typical amasijos (dough pastry).

Located in One of Top of the most beautiful urban centres of Colombian cities.
Donde Juan B in Bosques de Cocora, Valle De Cocora offers stunning views from its rooftop tents. Though pricey, the location is worth it. However, amenities could use some improvement as cleanliness and hot water for showers were lacking. Guests have the option to purchase wood for a campfire. The staff was friendly during our stay. The restaurant on site is expensive with no other options for dining nearby at night.
Quite simply the very best family restaurant in the Cócora area! Beef and the trout are always on the perfect term. Pet friendly, child friendly, and warm cozy atmosphere.

First of all, Google does ask… what do I recommend about the restaurant this restaurant?… well, I want to advise you all, PLEASE PLEASE DON’T GO THERE, don't waste a second nor even a penny there. Let's begin:
1) One and most important, terrible service, non-human, and last but could be less critical, ultra slow.
2) One of the plates, a trough that smelt funny and had a very strong flavour. Regarding it, the restaurant did not charge the plate. One ☝🏻 good point to highlight. However, the rest of the drawbacks overweight the positives.
3) In overall, totally overpriced for the quality of the food.
4) The worst of all, staff being disrespectful, not knowing how to take feedback for improvement, and making fun of its customers after paying.
Mauricio Carbonell — Google review
Parked here for 10,000 COP (about USD 2.50) and then walked up the main stretch not really knowing what to do. Came back for our lunch (they reimburse your parking if you spend 20,000 COP at the restaurant) and were impressed. Food was pretty good but Juan Sebastián, our server, was excellent. Very attentive, patient, and friendly.
This place isn't just a restaurant, but has a short private hike (not sure if it's free for everyone, but it was free with our meal) that is absolutely gorgeous. Great views up and down the valley and a good view of the river. Juan Sebastian did a great job explaining the local area and the famous palm trees.

We stayed in our rooftop tent for a night. A bit expensive but the view is really nice. The commodities ate not the cleanest one, shower is very very cold. You can buy wood do to a fogata. People on site were nice. The restaurant is expensive and there is nothing around to eat at night.

Pretty good place. Excellent place to come to if you want to see the Valley of the Cocora and its trees by just sitting down somewhere. Food was decent overall except the grilled chicken breast dish, most in my party enjoyed their trout. It's expensive for Colombian standards. I had a party of 28 that I called a few hours ahead for, and they were able to accommodate us, but asked for a deposit of $400,000 COP. The final bill for 28 people, including some children, and including the deposit, was about $1,540,000 COP or approximately $372 USD. This made it about $53,000 COP or $13 USD per person.

Best trout I’ve ever tasted. We had the fried one and the fried with mushroom sauce, both amazing. The aguapanela with queso is definitely the best I’ve had in the region. Service from staff was amazing and the view is espectacular!

The atmosphere is decent, it’s pretty much the only good thing I can say about the place. The service is terrible, and openly dismissive. They turned off the lights and music while my family was still eating. Not a single piece of food had any flavor, the patacon with the sauces was the only highlight of the meal. I had the trout in shrimp sauce which I had to add half a pound of salt to, the chicken fillet was flavorless and I can assume the same for everything else in the menu. Almost forgot, the consomé the pollo was actually pretty good.
Brahiam Mejia — Google review
I have been recommending this restaurant to many people from all over the world that visit the Quindio area. However, yesterday I was there with some friends and I saw how the place has deteriorated. The food was ok, the service not great, but what bothered us the most was the appearance of some interactive musicians who spoiled our lunch with some bad dancing, worse singing and very vulgar and sexist jokes. Valle of Cocora has been spoiled by mass tourism for a while now. But Juan B was a restaurant where you could still find some peace and a decent trout. Now the bad taste has finally reached it too.

My wife and me had a launch there and these are the results;
1. My wife is sick in bed now and was vomitting because of the food in this restaurant - she had a fish dish
2. I ordered rare + baby beef steak and got well done 0,5 cm thick, fishy flavoured meat., side dish is terriblle.
3. Ordered 2 juices, they charged 3 and did not want to change the bill
4. The apetisers and main course came almost at the same time
5. Waiter you must yell to so he notices you
6. Tables are not stable
7. There where some restaurant dancers playing for 5 minutes and then come to each table ask for money
8. Not recommended

Worse than one can imagine. Quality of the food as well as the service is way below any standard. The place is always packed because locals do not mind bad service and bad food. Or maybe visitors are served poorly since they are treated as one timers.. Therefore, as tourist, please stay away. Never mind the price as such. But value for you money is unacceptable. 50% of the food served is inedible. Even fried plantains and vegetables are worthless. I live in Armenia and this is the 3dr time y leave the place without eating. This picture shows the remains of a "churrasco". More tha 50% of what was served Certainly this will be the last time. Sad to say, the worst service I have ever experienced in Colombia. We ordered 3 beers and food to share. One beer was full of ice, the other exploded + filthy cans. After 40 minutes of waiting we approached our waiter who said we never ordered any food (although I watched him write it all down.) Unfortunately, this Juan is no A, or B… it should be Juan Z!

Pereira has beautiful plazas with lots of vendors and pigeons. It’s a fun place to see locals selling their wares and get a feel for the friendly city. Plus it’s always fun to see giant horse statues. I wouldn’t say it’s an all day event but If you enjoy people watching and walking it’s a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

It looks much better after the recent renovations. A lot cleaner, more tourist friendly, with a lot less hustle from street vendors.
I think security can always improve, I know it would never be perfect, but it can be even more attractive for people to visit.
The lack of public facilities makes it harder and more expensive as you have to pay to go to the toilet, and if you are a family it becomes even more pricey.
Good choices of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, etc.
Paid, public parking available all over and available at a reasonable price.
Good public transport connections and very easy to get a taxi as well.

The nature reserve is so amazing and Carlos is so warm, passionate and knowledgeable! The whole experience was so much fun and really inspiring. Everyone who comes to Salento needs to do this tour!!! Fascinating tour of the reserve with Carlos who has been leading the conservation effort here. He speaks perfect English and imparted a huge amount of specialist knowledge to us about the phenomenon of the cloud forest, plant and fungus behaviour in tropical environments, permaculture, and following your dreams. I hope Carlos and William’s efforts are supported as they deserve, and that their project at Kasaguadua thrives. Thank you for a fascinating tour, Carlos!

The review is for the jungle tour. We did this tour yesterday and we learned a lot about the cloud forest and its eco system. César was a great guide, both knowledgeable and funny. It is a special place and you feel that the people who built the lodge and take care of the environment are very passionate.
The tour starts every day at 10am in English but must be requested at least 1 day in advance as it only takes place if there are enough people. It is 30min walking to reach the entry gate (or take a Willy from the town centre).

This review is about the walking tour - which was really fantastic. We were a large group of around 15. The guide (Balder) was very passionate and interesting. We walked from Salento town for about 45 minutes. About an hour in you get to the lodge accommodation, where you can use the toilets (as long as you are not taking antibiotics due to their water purification system). It is a fabulous place! Please bring insect repellent! We were lucky and saw some interesting birds, including an owl. After the tour we then went for lunch at a cafe about ten minutes up the road, recommended by the guide.

This is an amazing place to visit by yourself or others. Animals look great and healthy which is the most important part. Prices are okay and food is the only thing that could be better, still it can’t put aside the beauties you can find in the park. I’m eagerly waiting for the new extra parts that the park will have in the future.
Alexander Castro — Google review
Absolutely worth the trek to visit. It is beautiful. You can tell they truly care for the animals. The birds exhibit was my favorite. It rained in us all day but we did not even care. We had a lot of fun. The staff was wonderful. All the animal exhibits had the animal information in both English and Spanish, so I did not need to translate for my husband which was wonderful. We will come back next time we r in the region.
Valentina Aragundy — Google review
Amazing place that takes fare of rescued species. The animals are way more active before lunch/midday so if you can go as early as they open it’s better. Regular weekdays are also a good strategy so there are fewer people. Because bring repellent (anti-mosquitoes) and sunscreen because a part of the walking tour is just crossing through the Guaduales (a protected species in the region). There aren't many packed animals so don't expect to see a thousand species, they seem to be all in good shape and taken care of. The reserve takes care of abandoned or neglected wildlife so some of them are in the middle of a treatment, like the giraffe (looks grey)
Liliana D?az Cruz — Google review
Interesting park to visit. There are many places and different sections of animals to explore. There is also food service at this park. I would recommend visiting in the morning when it is not so full. The architecture of the place is very well done and interesting to look at.

Would not visit again. Purchased tickets and person that takes the tickets spent 5 minutes explaining where to start ect. All while carrying our puppy in his bag. Walked half the park. Then an employee stated there are no pets allowed. Yet, the park is full of stray dogs. Make this make sense? The place is over rated. There is a ton of walking and a ton of empty exhibitions. The hippo exhibit had fish in it. The hippos were in another place. The actual park is huge. Some parts you walk on mud/rock/unpaved roads. I would not say this is friendly for people with mobility issues. The animals they do have are nice. They seem to have space to move around. Staff is rude. There are people at some of the exhibits but no one really speaks to you unless you ask something. They do have a great food court but it is overshadowed by the stray dogs sitting next to you or roaming while you eat. If I had never been to any other zoo in the world, or animal sanctuary, I would give this place 5 stars. But unfortunently I find its high praise over rated.
E Galvis — Google review
The park is big and has some cool spots to take picktures with some animal and dinasour sculptures, there is also a place where you can find food and it also has a lot of bathrooms. The animals were the best part, the biggest like hippos, elephants, rhinos, and more are outstanding. Depending on the hour they may be asleep or not. But I definitely recommend this place.
gerardo arteaga — Google review
There were lots of different animals to see. They seem to be well taken care of. Take with you enough water and enjoy your visit.

Nice place to visit the animals, very clean and spacious enclosures. You can see the only giraffe in Colombia. It's better if you speak Spanish as there is not much information in English. Great place for kids and a few places to eat inside. You can go by car or take the bus and then walk or take a taxi to the entrance.
Rebecca W — Google review
Disappointed with my visit, has potential but the park seems unfinished. Also went on a Friday and it was full of multiple school visitors whom unfortunately made the experience less enjoyable. The crowds were rowdy and not well behaved. Animals were amazing just wish i would’ve seen more of them.
Talia Lopez — Google review
Amazing experience. First I gotta say: go as early as you can (they open at 9am) or else you will see half of the animals asleep. Bring anti-mosquitoes lotion + sunscreen, there's a good portion of the walk you will be doing in open areas.
The good care of the animals it's noticeable, we enjoyed the time spent there.
One last tip: don't take the alternative road, just go through the main road entrance (or you will end up in a one-sided way inside of a neighborhood).

Family friendly with child-size versions of the rides. This park is a functional coffee plantation and museum; outlining the historical economic significance of coffee production .
Be prepared:
- lots of walking
- bring a swimsuit and a change of clothes unless you want to skip the water rides.
- bring sunscreen or an umbrella
- they have an indoor theater with live dance performances
- bring a relaxed attitude and enjoy with your family
We spent 5 hours exploring the park, having lunch at a couple of the cafes, and all to a beautiful mountain backdrop.

SO much to do! Be prepared to spend the entire day here. Parking can get a bit weird, there is only ONE official parking lot. Note that most of the places at the park only take cash (efectivo.) Huge attractions park situated in the beautiful coffee producing province of Quindio, lots of stuff to do and see and a beautiful show with dance and music suitable for all. Prepare for long walks as you move from one place to the other as the place is big. You can use the cableway or the train within to save your feet a bit. The place is gorgeous and one day is not enough to see it all.

It was a wonderful and unexpected experience - it a must if you’re in the area, and you need to be ready to spend a full day here as the queues are long. Plenty of walking as well, bring sunblock and hats.
The only thing I disliked about the place is that even though it’s a coffee-themed park there are not good coffee shops here. Only Juan Valdez which you can try anywhere in Colombia. I was somehow expecting more artisan coffee shops preparing coffee using different methods or at least good coffee around.

They do have free lockers you can you to store things. They serve a great breakfast and also really good food. The lines were not that long I definitely recommend getting there by 8:30am there is a shuttle that takes you to the park so make sure you get a seat. Also you can ride on horses with the whole family but that is the only ride you will have to pay extra for. But it's not much at all. Great trip we will be back again soon!!

Good value for the rides and the prices inside the park and for the parking are extremely reasonable. Definitely a must see if you'd like a day with beautiful scenery, some mildly exciting rides for the whole family and a whole lot of fun altogether with a natural touch.

What a beautiful park, full of history, stories, delightful attractions and extreme rides. A lot of fun is to be had here!

A bit crowded but there is a lot to do, lines for the attractions weren't that long, the dancing show was nice but you need to get there early to get good seats, some of the attractions were closed too

Had a great experience. The park was clean and it was fun overall, my favourite attraction was the carts.

The place is fantastic. A lot of activities, rollercoasters and activities like karts without paying an extra.
Recoomended, the food is no the best but you can always eat somewhere else.

Scenic coffee plantation featuring a cultural tour, a cupping experience & a traditional eatery.
A great deal of fun. You are taught a lot about the whole coffee process as well as the different kinds of coffee for local and export. There is a tour that brings you through from start to finish with samples along the way. Even a bit of dancing and uncontrollable laughter. Definitely must go and experience.

Our family loved Recuca! Lucho was the best guide and was very engaging! We were with my elderly grandmother with mobility issue and she was given a wheelchair and Lucho pushed her around the entire park! Lucho was funny, informative, and very personable. He answered all our questions and was knowledgeable about a lot. We enjoyed learning all about the coffee process and local culture. We purchased the lunch as well and enjoyed it! Highly recommended to visit Recuca!

We did a day tour in the coffee plantation. Understand the whole process of the coffee beans. Walked around and had lunch there. A good way to explore the plantation. Must visit if you come to Columbia.

The tour was great! Andrés G was Great! The Place was Great! Everything was great! Up to today we had only to pay 45.000 COP each plus 45.000 COP to have the tour in English and private which I think it’s a good deal. The tour lasted 2 hours 30 because we were only two people. We went with a renting car by ourselves without a problem. The only thing I would advise the owners is to add the info about the bilingual tour on the website, I was close not to go because of that reason. Glad it worked out and we were surprised.

Recuca is a nice place, you will learn about the coffee making process. The guides will joke a lot, sadly you have to be local to get all the experience with them even if you know Spanish all the slangs are hard to catch, they have bilingual speakers but is just not the same. Humor is difficult to translate

Excellent place to visit and stay while visiting the Coffee Zone in Colombia. The staff will entertain you and give you history lesson of how coffee is grown. The staff are very friendly and you will forever remember this place. I take a part of this place in my heart.

We had a wonderful time at Recuca. Our guide, Kennedy Lopez, was an excellent guide and very fluent in English. He helped give my kids and all of us a wonderful experience.

My visit to Recuca was time well spent – a 2 1/2-hour journey that's worth every minute. Immersing myself in the world of Colombian coffee while having a blast is simply invaluable. This is truly an outstanding coffee adventure; the tour delves deep into the process, offering a wealth of knowledge. Our guide JJ Forero (very fluent in mierdinglish as he said) was superb, adding an extra layer of excellence to the experience.

We had a great time here. The tour (in English) was very good. Everything was explained in great detail and you could also take part yourself, for example picking coffee beans. Everything was very informative and interesting and the area is simply beautiful.
We had also booked lunch. I personally wasn't a fan of it, but others in the group really enjoyed it.

Handicap accessible! Business provided wheelchair ! Inexpensive for a 3 hour tour!
Great funny host Guide …Food provided for an extra charge was delicious. Will definitely go back.
Thank you Recuca

This is a must. Relaxed, spacious, friendly place to learn about coffee. The typical architecture of the region (remember "Encanto"). Nice and funny guides, be prepared to be targeted by them and take part on hilarious moments.

Very cute experience! The guide was very humorous and the entire 3 hours was full of learning and culture. I thought the coffee experience was a bit more hands on, like we could grind coffee but it was still good. We were able to pick coffee beans, taste the coffee and our favorite was being able to dress with typical clothes, dance and take pictures. Recommended even with young children!

Awesome place. One of my favorite places I have visited. I love coffee and this place taught me things about coffee never know. The place is very fun, and it is educational.

It's a very interesting place if you want to learn everything about coffee culture and how it's grown from scratch. The place is decorated like a traditional and folk coffee growing farm. The employees are dressed like that too. They offer a lot of extra services besides the tour, which costs 10 dollars. It took 3 hours to finish it so go prepared to spend so much. I advise you to go get the morning tours since there are less people. The tour guides are so nice and funny. The only con is that they don't talk in English so you'll need a translator.
We had a great time at San Alberto. We learned a lot about coffee and all the different ways of preparing it. The view was beautiful and service was excellent. I highly recommend the coffee experience.

I first looked up and went to the place identified as Finca Cafe San Alberto on google which has many photos from this place but is in a completely different location. After an hour of wasted time I found the real location.
Coffee tasted very good but is over priced.

One of the places that you have to visit in the coffee region of Colombia if you want to taste the coffee that won the most of the prices over Colombia.
This cafe represents perfectly what is a perfect cup of coffee in many different types of ways. Enjoy it strong or soft, or cold or hot or in many other popular ways.
Also San Alberto offers you the possibility to see the coffee process since the picking of the red beans to the drying, roasting and grilling of this coffee of this same farm for the end have a experience with some of the best "catadores" to teach you how to distinguish a perfect cup of coffee.

An incredible place to try a delicious coffee, with a spectacular view. You are enjoying a delicious coffee in the middle of the coffee plantations. The pastry is not of the best quality. Better to just try the coffee.

Magnificent view, great place to enjoy a real Colombian coffee and a piece of cake and the vegetation is just as stonishing as the view.
