Very cool historic fountain. It was very unusual because it is in someone's front yard. The home located behind the fountain is privately owned. it was a little disappointing to see only two of the three heads of the fountain working at the time we visited. Hopefully the caretaker has plans to restore this historic Monument.

(Translated by Google) It's a small museum that was built where an old prison was, you can see a space where there was a solitary confinement (you can't see it very well, because the glass is a little foggy). Now the museum itself is for images of Mary's mother, so it ends up being very specific. I think it's worth a visit, as they are old pieces and it's cool as a historical record, but if you're not that interested in the topic, it's not that fun.
(Original)

(Translated by Google) The Sant'Ana museum is small but beautiful, very well maintained, organized, with a guide to explain everything, interactive screens explaining each of the works. There is an elevator and stairs to access the floor where the works are located. It's a very clean space! With bathroom and storage. You can't enter with bags or bags, but the storage area is organized and you keep your key. Entrance costs 10 reais and students and teachers pay 5 reais, but proof is required. It's a small but very interesting tour. The museum only has 3 small rooms, but they are worth visiting.

The stunning church named after Tiradentes' patron saint, Igreja de Santo Antonio, is a remarkable work of Aleijadinho and one of his final designs. The interior is resplendent with Old Testament allusions and features notable objects like the polychrome organ brought from Portugal in 1798 by donkey and the seven golden phoenixes that suspend candleholders with braided chains. The sundial at the entrance dates back to 1785.
Ornately beautiful and historic: seven altars and one of the most churches with the largest amount of gold in Latin America.

Cachoeira da Fumaça de Baixo is a breathtaking natural attraction renowned for its splendid landscape. Located in an exquisite region, this scenic spot captivates visitors with its awe-inspiring beauty and majestic surroundings. The waterfall cascades down from great heights, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of water plunging into the depths below.
(Translated by Google) Just like smoke, this is also unsuitable for bathing. The trail to it is short, but a little more complicated, as it is somewhat hidden and with tall vegetation, however it is worth going to see
(Original)

(Translated by Google) It is part of the Smoke Complex and is very close (a few meters) to the main waterfall, which gives the complex its name. Despite being very close, access is not so easy as there is no well-marked trail and there are some obstacles.
The place is very beautiful with low falls, but with good volume. It's a shame that you can't swim because the falls form a pool in which there is even a small beach and enjoying this pool would be a great pleasure.
Another beautiful place in Carrancas!!!!

One of the best waterfalls in Carrancas, also one of the most famous, what makes the place be always busy, you have to be very lucky to get it empty. It is a natural park in Minas Gerais state. The park is wonderful, full of sedimentary rocks and natural vegetation, some streams and caves. You can trail everywhere there and have fun in contact with nature. I also recommend going to "janela do céu" (window of the sky), which is a very long walking trail. It is tiring, but worth the visit. About the park itself, I do recommend it.

The park is amazingly beautiful, great choice for camping, enjoy some fresh air, hiking, waterfalls, watching birds and wild life. The sky at night is so full of stars! It's a quite big park and maybe two, three or even four days might be necessary to see everything, but anything u see of it it will worth it! I do recommend it!

Make no mistake my friends, this is one of the greatest places to visit at least once in your lifetimes. It's not simple or easy to get to, and some of the trails are definitely not for beginners, but it's worth every little drop of sweat to climb up to the window of the sky (janela do céu) and enjoy the unique experience this place has to offer. It's ao marvelous it's almost mystic.

Maravilhoso parque estadual.
beautiful, enchanting national park well worth visiting and well preserved and clean. the perfect photo at the " sky window" desperately needs better organization and restrictions with supervision and I feel that there are other places in the park that are even more beautiful. It is controversial to impose restrictions but public safety, cleanliness and preservation are essential.

A great place to feel closer to Mother Nature. The paths surrounded by tall trees, the mineral water fountains built with an old classic look, the sound of birds, the wind in the trees, and many, many cicadas. I'm born in Caxambu, and live here for almost all my life, and the Water park is like a sanctuary for me, where I feel safe and sound. Last week was my first time swimming in the pool and it couldn't be more fun and pleasing! There's so many good things I could talk about the Park, but just being in a place like this is an experience I can not find words to describe. You'll must feel it yourself.

(Translated by Google) Easily accessible. It has a part that for those who don't know how to swim it is possible to bathe safely. I thought it was really cool that the environmental police put up a flag to identify whether the waters are calm or not. I went in Sep/2021, there is no access fee and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. As I don't know how to swim I was afraid to go down the drain. So I stayed in the quieter parts. I highly recommend.

Super recomendo.

There is also some trade in the region. It is possible to swim, as there is a good water slide. The walk to the waterfall is not difficult and still allows you to calmly appreciate the beauty of the region.

(Translated by Google) The place is very beautiful, who wants to take a risk with the temperature of the water (very cold) can take advantage of the "slide". There is a community around the waterfall that provides parking infrastructure, bar, restaurant, inn, souvenir shops, etc. From Vila de Maringá to Vila de Maromba the road is dirt but wide, after that the path becomes narrow in several points, only one car can pass at a time. But if it hasn't rained too much, you can use a car.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful and great place to enjoy a sunny day in the region. The waterfall has an excellent swimming pool, as well as, of course, its natural slide, which is a lot of fun.
I don't give it 5 stars because, in sunny FDS, it tends to be very crowded, making the trip to the location exhausting due to the intense traffic resulting from the narrow roads, which have no parking space and private parking lots are relatively expensive.

Itatiaia National Park is the oldest national park in Brazil, boasting a diverse array of landscapes ranging from dense rainforests to rugged peaks. The lower section of the park is easily accessible and offers visitors numerous short trails that lead to breathtaking waterfalls and natural swimming holes. Meanwhile, serious hikers and climbers can explore the remote high country via an unpaved road. The park is also home to abundant flora and fauna, such as orchids, monkeys, and tropical birds.
Wonderful national park at Itataia. It's possible to visit the park on foot, bike or by car. Visitors entering the park by car must pay an extra fee (around R$ 24,00) to take it's paved and non paved roads on a motored vehicle. The activities available at the park for visitors range from a beautiful cultural centre with many historical highlights, track trails in a rich forest terrain, magnificent waterfalls to admire and freshen up, numerous bird watching spots, and exuberant viewpoints of the Mantiqueira Mountain and it's wildlife. The difficulty of tracks may vary a lot. Upon entry on the park, visitors are given a detailed map, which shows what's possible to do whilst visiting the site. The park is basically divided into a lower and an upper part. The most demanding tracks, which are also those that one needs to plan in advance, are located in the upper part of park. In those areas, it's possible to camp on designated areas or stay for the night at one of the park's lodging houses (reservation in advance needed). In the park's website, there are lots of information for visitors, and high definition pdf maps for downloading, as well as a list of well trained guides on the park whenever the need arises. It's not possible to park in any spot by the road, the permitted parking areas will be sign posted. All around the park, it's possible to see restaurants, hotels and other private properties, which means there's no time available to do everything you'll find at the park. It's a highly recommended visit, and a place not to forget.
Mariana Azevedo Moraes — Google review
Beautiful scenary. Amazing waterfalls which have pools to swim surrounded by lush tropical forests. A national park unlike sny other in the world.
Marco Defreitas — Google review
It's a decent park, but beware that the upper portion of the park is almost impossible to get up with a regular car. You DEFINITELY need a high-clearance vehicle like an SUV or 4x4 to do it, or a motorcycle.
I tried to ask the staff about this beforehand and they were unhelpful and didn't even know about this.

A completely different environment if you use the north west entrance. Warning the 12km road can be very bad. Warning 2: Arrive early the last entrance is around 2pm. You must leave the park by 5pm. This may change during they year so it is best to chemo in advance.

Rod. dos Tropeiros, km 328, Bananal - SP, 12850-000, Brazil
(Translated by Google) Beautiful story farm.
Requires prior appointment.
It was built in 1855 by the couple Major Cândido Ribeiro Barbosa and Joaquina Maria de Jesus.
The couple's heir, Barão Ribeiro Barbosa, was born with a serious illness and his parents made a promise to donate their weight in gold to Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Bananal. He managed to survive and was known as the "Golden Boy", famous Barão Ribeiro Barbosa. The Major was known as the 6th tallest man in the world.
With the abolition of slavery, the farm was sold to Luiz Dias, a well-known merchant from Itajubá.
Today the farm belongs to Maria Elisabeth Brum Gomes and Antônio Augusto Ferreira Gomes, who allow visitors to visit the farm, which keeps its structure and pieces from the 19th century and slavery intact.
It keeps its slave quarters, mills and bathroom as it used to be.
The farm's tourism is aimed at historical, cultural and pedagogical tourism, in addition to the mystical tourism that developed with the existing demand since the religions of the slaves have a great weight in the region.
