Dozens of enormous boulders scattered on a plateau with panoramic views over an arid landscape.
Not gonna find views like this anywhere else!
Wojciech Banasik — Google review
First, this is a difficult place to visit. A group guide is required, that is available only at the fazeda (hotel) near the entrance. Secondly, know that reaching the hotel involves driving about 45 minutes on rough gravel roads. The tour is set-time, staring at 4:00 PM and ending after dark. Thus you are driving back to the paved road on dark gravel roads.
Now for the tour. The group will walk a couple of miles with a serious incline. This is not mountain climbing, but rigorous for old and fat people. The group stops at various location to observe the "Flintstones" terrain. There are indeed odd rocks, massive boulders scattered about. Nothing comparable in the USA. The end of the walk is on top, with a perfect view of the surrounding valley and sunset. Take lots of photos.
Tnis is highly recommended, if the logistics are not too scary. Oh, if you want you can eat and lodge at the hotel. This will avoid the nighttime drive back across the unpaved roads.

(Translated by Google) I've lost count of how many times I've been to this place and it's always incredible. At night we could see all the stars in the sky. The time I most recommend is sunset, which is simply fantastic.
You buy the ticket at the reception of the Pai Mateus hotel (which is about 12km from the city) and go to the location with your car at the scheduled time and they will send a local guide for information. The cost of the tour is R$40 per person and is well worth it. I also recommend calling ahead to find out more about how it's working.
Take your cell phone charging for the photos 😍
At sunset the stones turn orange colors and it looks beautiful.

Já perdi as contas de quantas vezes fui a este lugar e é sempre incrível. A noite conseguimos ver todas as estrelas no céu.

In Ponta Grossa we can enjoy incredible experiences: trails in the mangroves and dunes, contemplating marine manatees, buggy and boat rides and visits to the archaeological collection. Furthermore, it is imperative to enjoy the relaxing bath in the calm sea. Ponta Grossa has a good accommodation and food structure.

When the tide is low, if we head to the right, we can access Redonda beach. In Ponta Grossa you have options for restaurants, accommodation, buggy rides, quad bike rides, among other things. I had the opportunity to have lunch, and the fish was very well served and at a fair price. Very good place to spend a weekend.

(Translated by Google) I loved the beach. A paradisiacal and preserved place. There we find lobster skewers and boat trips where they take us to see the fish. Just one observation: Take this tour at 8..9 am, as when the tide is high the tour is not good. We get hurt because of the corals, we swallow a lot of water and the guides encourage us to do it late, but it's not comfortable or safe for us. I have both black arms and back, because I was injured, and my toe was cut.

Amei a praia.

Duna do Pôr-do-Sol, located in Canoa Quebrada, is a must-visit spot on the Northeast Coast of Brazil. It's just a short walk from the town center and offers amazing views, especially during sunset. The area is known for its tranquil atmosphere and beautiful coastline. Visitors can also explore the dune and take a buggy tour to Ponto Gordo for an unforgettable experience.
Amazing sunsets a short walk from the center of town.

Canoa Quebrada was such a pleasant surprise on our coastal trip in the Nordeste. You should definitely stop for a day or two if you are in the area and - I never do this - hire a dune buggy to take you on a tour of this dune and the wonderful coast to Ponto Gordo.
Canoa Quebrada is one of the three spots on the Northeast Coast - along with Praia da Pipa and Jericoacoara - that has raised their tourist game to appeal to foreigners as well as locals.
We had a really nice time there and would return in a heartbeat.

Canoa Beach's Mezza Luna offers a romantic dining experience in a charming sand-floored garden with soft jazz and bossa nova music. Tucked away down a small alley, the restaurant serves a small but delightful menu featuring homemade pasta dishes and seafood with unique sauces. Guests can expect excellent food and top-notch service at this intimate spot.
Excellent food and great service.

The Natural Monument of Beberibe Cliffs is a breathtaking stretch of protected cliffs and dunes that offer stunning views of the beach. This geological paradise is a must-visit for enthusiasts, although it's advisable to research the rock formation beforehand as local guides may lack knowledge in this area. Arriving early in the morning is recommended to avoid crowds from tours later in the day. The site boasts a wonderful story and visitors can enjoy the humorous and lively commentary of tour guide Wesley.
Absolutely stunning.
If you are interested in geology, this is paradise but I suggest you read about the rocks formation before you visit because local guides often don't know much about the geological formation of the area.
Also, try to get there early in the morning as it is full of tours from 11 onwards.
Highly recommended

If you want a day of admiring natural beauty, take a tour to this place! The natural occuring cliffs offer beautiful pictures, hiking, and exploration. The tour, consisting of a Portuguese speaking guide, takes about 40 minutes and involves walking through a small market area in which they really try to sell you on projects created by the sand. The guide will pose you in many, many, places and take photos at different angles looking for a bigger tip at the end of the tour. If possible, take the dune buggy tour, as it allows you to see even more of the landscape!

The cliffs aren’t here despite the photos! It’s a beautiful beach surrounded by what look like party houses, but the drive is a rough one (the most fun part of heading this way 😅) over rocky roads and wet red sand.
