We went on a weekday, the machines were working, even so we were able to enjoy the place, drink some mate and eat delicious noodles in a small place in front of the factory. It's a pity that the tourist information office was closed and, according to comments from local people, it rarely opens. It is a pity.

There are practically no signs or anything touristy that indicates anything.
We went with the car and advanced. We found an official from the Dos Anclas company who advised us and explained something to us.
Being in a salt flat is something quite particular, a very strong feeling.
I recommend if you have the opportunity, to deviate a few kms. You won't regret it.

The place is good to spend few hours of self walk with family/friends.
The restaurant kitchen/bar staff are rude and denied to give us tap water although the waitress tried to, the food is too expensive comparing with the quality.
I recomend the place but not the restaurant.

Nice place to go and spend at least a couple hours. Places to do pic-nics, you can also have local food and wine right there. The maze is really good and fun for kids, while there's also a playground.
On the downside, toilets were less than impressive and the video about the history of the place was way too long (1 hr).

Bodega La Abeja is a historic winery established in 1883, offering guided tours and tastings. Visitors have praised the smaller, more private group tours that offer numerous complimentary wine tastings of about 5 or 6 different wines. The knowledgeable tour guides provide insights into the winemaking process, including grape harvesting and bottling. Guests appreciate the friendly and informative staff, with special mentions for guides like Sofi and Juan Pablo who enhance the experience with their expertise and humor.
We messaged on WhatsApp to schedule an appointment. The tour was enjoyable, and the wine tasting at the end was fantastic, with numerous samples. For $2000, it was an outstanding value, and we also received a full glass of house wine for only $200 while we waited for the tour to begin.

Bodega La Abeja was fantastic! For only $1000 pesos it was a brilliant tour. Sofie was a lovely tour guide who gave us a private tour in English. We loved trying their wines in the private tasting room as well! A brilliant bodega with a fantastic history and some very tasty wines... We'd 100% recommend!

Nagaoka accepts criticism cheerfully, and uses criticism productively to develop own abilities and skills. When working to a firm but realistic deadline, Nagaoka always completes tasks to an adequate standard. Accuracy and neatness may suffer but the outcome is acceptable. Puts in some extra hours to meet the deadline. When dressed for the job, personal appearance and dress immediately impress. Distinctive, perhaps distinguished. Performs most jobs well and has the habit of checking work outcomes. Nagaoka is achieving excellence in some areas but in others is not yet achieving the highest standards.
A persuasive, engaging speaker when well-prepared, but uncomfortable and less effective when asked to speak off-the-cuff. Nagaoka enjoys working without supervision and usually continues to carry out duties effectively. Still needs to learn when it is appropriate to call for a supervisor’s advice or authority to act. Habitually asks questions in order to fully understand a position or a statement. Keeps asking until the facts are clear and the truth is understood. Can work in a team but often produces individual work at the end of a group activity. Not supportive or tolerant of others in the team.

The guide at the Planetario Malargüe provided an excellent explanation, delivering intriguing and easily understandable information. The projection was captivating, and the installation where they showcased the film was beautiful. However, a drawback was that all seats were occupied without any social distancing measures in place.

(Translated by Google) It is a must-see in Malargüe, it has two times to attend the guided tour and the projections inside the pyramid. The locations are numbered so I recommend going early because the later numbers have a worse location and you could also run out of a place if a LOT of people go (the same, I arrived a few minutes after the start of that guide's shift and got a place). The projections are some very good, others decent, but what is very good are the explanations of whoever is speaking at that moment, very clear and interesting.
The first part, in which a guide accompanies the tour through the rest of the planetarium, is a bit poor because a single guide is in charge of all the stands, which makes the explanations of each one very superficial. It could be solved with a little more staff.
It is inexpensive, the visit costs $200 per person (adults), and the visiting hours are 4:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., each visit lasting 2 hours.
(Original)

Lessons, rentals & on-mountain restaurants are offered at this scenic ski resort with hotel options.
A beautiful place for those who dream of skiing and enjoying snow activities.
Nadia Kostiuk — Google review
Las Leñas is well known for their après time vibes, a few challenging runs and the best off piste terrain in Argentina. And, of course, being the only true ski in / ski out resort down here.
And boy … do they know that and maker that.
As mentioned it’s THE place if you enjoy off piste… the actual runs are average, not that challenging leaving aside Marte zone where you can’t get some fun advanced terrain. They have a respectable beginners area for Argentina standards and adding they hotel / bars / restaurant offer right at the base, a place to be enjoyed by skiers of all levels.
It does gets terribly packed in the heavy season, not a lot of lifts makes that experience not that enjoyable so it would be wise to try to avoid July … but their snow in the last few years was scarce at best … so trip down when you have to!
Paulo Puglisi — Google review
Great tracks, and great snow most of the season. Off tracks are easy to find and also really fun. Views are excellent too. Problems are the snow by mid August, and the lifts are the slowest you'll ever encounter.

Don’t ever come to this place , all the facilities and hotels are all outdated and horribles dirty ! Everything’s stuck in the 80 ‘s , besides how racists are all the services members especially if you are an Asian avoid this place , spend your money somewhere else but not here! I mean not all the Argentinian they are so racists but the people that they can afford to come here , even the place is crabby but they think they are rich 😂and consider themself Europeans 😂 ! Soooo listen to my advise and don’t come at all 🤠👍

Nazmul Hassan Nobel — Google review
Perched in the amazing peaks of the Argentine Andes this is a small ski resort by European standards but the piste skiing is great as long as the Marte lift is open (maybe 50% of the time). The lifts are old and slow
Alex Campbell — Google review
I have my own disagreement on how to rate this.
As a “ski resort” I rate it below average (3 stars is average), comparing it to other major sky resorts of Argentina.
As a “Mountain to sky” I can extend to to 4 points, with many good runs and nice snow.
So let’s see why 2 stars:
1. poor poor poor poor infrastructure... been here 20 years ago, and it seems all the same. One day did spend an unreasonable time doing lines for the lifts (meaning that in all ski resorts you will do reasonable lines).
2. Ski rentals offer is poor, leading the companies to charge you whatever they want, since there is no competition.
3. Very small places to eat at the mountains , one better than the other, still not at the quality you expect for the money you pay
4. Not good airport communication, so you pay a lot of extra money if you do not have a package
5. Since is just that, a ski resort far away from cities, you have to just relax and be prepared to charge you expensive prices to eat or drink.
I’m sorry is not as good as its marketing
Makes it look like.
Milton Schneider — Google review
If you're used to northern hemisphere skiing, this isn't as good as say, Squaw Valley, California or Kitzbuhel, Austria.
Argentines seem to be more concerned about posing than skiing. But then these are the rich 5%.
However, if your here in July then it's pretty decent for South America. Not expensive either.

Valle Hermoso is a truly picturesque valley that offers various transportation options, including trucks and motorcycles. However, it is also accessible by car if driven slowly. The campsite provides accommodations in the form of domes or tents and offers amenities such as bathrooms. Additionally, meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available for purchase. It's worth considering fuel availability as the nearest gas stations can be found around 100km away in Sosneado or Malargue.

The road to get there is gravel, is in good condition, and is less difficult than the Cuadrado road in Córdoba. You can go with your own vehicle, it is suggested that it be very high due to some stones on the road. On site there is a campsite (with paid internet) that offers rental of domes and boats to use on the lake. It is recommended to re-enter from the place no later than 7 pm as it is a fairly steep path.

(Translated by Google) The place is beautiful, I would say that it is only suitable for trucks since there are more than 60 km of gravel. The score is because the attention we receive from the people who work at the campsite leaves a lot to be desired, very rude and ungrateful! It would be good if they hired people who at least say “good morning, thank you” since the services they provide are ALL paid for. The wifi seems ridiculous to me that you have to pay per person!

Don't make a special detour to visit this park. It is beautiful but not worth 'a special effort'.
It offers a nice and easy walk that you can do with kids but it is not spectacular. I've heard there are more stunning hikes around the area.
Have a good day

Beautiful place! They are still getting use with the new system of buying tickets online so it took some extra time to get it. People working there were kind and even lend their phone to us. The place in itself is of easy access (the road could be much better - but when you make to the park is good).
Carolina V — Google review
I find it quite hard to rate this place. It's quite beautiful as mentioned by the other reviews.
But it's best to buy your tickets in advance online as it's quite hard to do it in place and you cannot buy them there. Also, do not trust the information that is given on the site about the park, it stated that all trails were open but sadly most of them were closed because of floods and landslides. Okay these are extreme circumstances but sadly we wished they told us in advance. If you pass somewhere in the neighbourhood some other tourists, ask them what is going on atm!!
We were able to dip in the water (freezing) and see some nice views. Enjoyable in general!

Gorgeous national park with nice hiking trails. The roads are quite dusty and uneven - you could probably do it with a sedan, but a mid-sized SUV is preferable. Note that if you want to see any of the sites or do the hiking trails, you have to book tickets online in advance. You can NOT buy entry at the park.

Good location with horrible operator. Be aware that on top of the lifts themselves being operated by inexperienced personnel, different areas of the resort are also run by different operators. Different parking lots within the mountain are run by different operators and you will have to pay full day parking twice if you have to pick up somebody at another location within the resort. Restaurants are also concessions and the customer service department will not respond if there are any issues, they will just reply “it is your problem for switching parking lots” or “it is not our problem, they are different companies”..etc. Not a place to spend all your money and enjoy a peaceful vacation I must say.

Great waterfalls to view once you walk down an easy trail lined with vendors selling arts & crafts, snacks, and the like. There are local vendors all along the climb up to the falls where you can get some nice souvenirs and try local food.

Second time that I visit this place and there are things that do not change and that are serious when you pay a high entry fee, to enjoy a casino: there are machines that are turned off, in poor condition, but that appear in the gaming areas. I easily counted about 20. What's more, there are a good number that are tucked away in a corner, about 10. This makes the options few for non-smokers. The eating place is good, comfortable, we ordered quesadillas that were delicious and at a reduced price. Several items on the menu were not available. I asked for a prepared drink that was very bad, I returned it and asked that they bring me one that does not fail, combined. I had to pay for the bad drink!!! it wasn't cheap. Good attention.

We have visited here every year for the past 3 years. Last night. The roulette dealer tried to steal 1/2 of my wife's money. It was really obvious to me. She handed the money back. We notified the pit boss who basically said. Is everything good now. And she continued to run the table. We left. Unbelievable

Good place to hang out, although the food they sell is not of high quality and the drinks are bad and expensive. The good thing is that they offer shows at no additional cost to the entrance, that's why I say that it's good to hang out. The customer service is lousy, the attention is bad, those who attend are generally bitter, they do not have a casino atmosphere. This casino is one of the worst I have attended in terms of attention, but at least a panorama for a while.

One of the most ordinary casinos I have known.
Dirty, little variety of drinks, a lot of ranchera, a lot of cumbia, they charge you for parking if you have fpey since they don't have the system linked, at the exit you catch many people asking you for money.... All wrong.... Also it is super small.

Casa Del Arte José Clemente Orozco is an art museum in Concepcion that exhibits both international and Chilean artists. It features a prominent mural by Jorge González Camarena depicting Latin American history, which greets visitors upon entering the building. The museum offers free admission and has a permanent collection as well as two temporary exhibitions at most times. Additionally, there is a small store where visitors can purchase souvenirs and gifts made by local crafters and artists.
Great experience. Very well taken care and, surprisely FREE. Loved the Casa de Arte

Also it houses a mural that greets and amazes as one enters the building, depicting Latin American history. A small store is a great place to buy souvenirs or gifts, featuring items by local crafters and artists. Coffee shop inside is also worth stopping at for a treat.

Such a beautiful collection of art including the famous mural "Presencia de América Latina" (Presence of Latin America), painted in the lobby of the art house , by Mexican artist Jorge González Camarena between November 1964 and April 1965, its principal theme is the unity and brotherhood of the different Latin American cultures.
You also can admire unique paints of well known Chilean artists as Pedro Lira, Onofre Jarpa, Valenzuela Llanos, etc. Most of them of XX, XIX, XVIII centuries.
Unmissable visit in Concepción .
Private school dating from 1919 & known for its biological sciences building, library & research.

Although apart from all that, at least it's nice to look at.

Conguillío National Park is a picturesque park with an active volcano at its center, called Volcan Llaima. With consistent but safe levels of activity since 2002, this park offers various activities for nature lovers such as hiking, kayaking, birdwatching and paleontology amidst volcanic mountains and monkey puzzle trees.

Beautiful park. Will add info on roads as of April 2024 as was hard to find online. Lago conguillo is kind of the mid point between curacautin and melipeuco. We had a 2WD sedan and came from the north (curacautin).
Road was okay with one steep manageable gravel section right after the laguna capture until just before getting to the main parking area at Lago conguillo. Was a fairly steep descent on firm road but had some deep ruts that were challenging to navigate.
Had to debate going back that route vs continuing through the park and looping back around via Temuco. Ultimately decided on the latter and although it was a long drive was probably the right decision as it would have been tough to tackle with 2WD and not worth the risk. Also the drive back to Melipeuco had some wonderful scenery that was worth it.
It had been pretty dry in the lead up to our visit so I don't imagine it could be much better. Could probably have tried going back towards curacautin but would have been risky. Would recommend 4WD unless coming from the south.

Gorgeous park with a variety of trails. Slight downside is that the park is designed for visitors with cars. As mochileros we had to walk quite a while on the roads in between trails. However people inside the park are very generous and will often offer lifts so it is possible- but more complicated- to visit without a car.

Must see national park in Chile. Although there is absolutely no signal or WiFi, it is a must see! We spend 3 days and 2 nights here and it wasn't enough to conquer the park. The hikes are stunning, the lakes are gorgeous and there's kayaking and a few other activities to do too. When I was googling which parks to prioritise during my time in Chile, this one didn't come up. But after talking to Chilean's who've done most of the parks, this is the favourite for everyone and I can see why. Will definitely be visiting again to do the hikes we couldn't do. You can stay on the outskirts and drive in, stay in cabins in the park or camp. As English staying in Santiago, we didn't have camping equipment so opted for a cabin in the park itself. Very pricey, not very clean and surprisingly noisy because the smaller cabins (2/3) people are one cabin split into two. Our neighbours in the other half were VERY loud at all hours and for this reason we would either bite the bullet and buy camping equipment or drive in each day as it ruined the experience and was annoying considering the cost.

It's truly amazing. The Araucana forest nestled among snow-capped peaks was unforgettable.
But do not expect to get near the volcanoes unless you are seriously fit, very well equipped, and part of a similarly-equipped group. With enough time to go slow, because the massive chunks of volcanic slag make seriously hard terrain.

Great park with varied hikes. A good option to beat the crowd is to get there on a Sunday and stay at one of the lodgings/campsites which allows you to visit the park on Monday when it is closed. The Pastos blancos + escoriales loop is quite beautiful (better than sierra nevada in my opinion).

This park is a great opportunity to relax in nature, choosing a walking route according to your own strengths: there is a very easy track 1 km long, there is a more difficult one for 6 km (12 km round-trip) and very difficult for 19 km with a serious climb. In the first two tracks you will find a walk through a stunning forest with araucaria and other giant trees, and in the third - a long walk through lava wastelands and slag cones with amazing views.

This is about a 9hr drive down from Santiago, I brought the Packraft out not really knowing what to expect. This is a massive lake (with equally massive lakes nearby) all with exceptionally clear blue waters. This was an amazing paddle and the water to extremely clam while I was there. I was able to fly the drone and get spectacular views of surrounding mountains and Volcanoes. This is absolutely a favorite spot for the locals and can get pretty packed, however the beaches are pretty clean. You are able to rent jet skis and kayak as well. There are a series of small gift shops/snacks shacks and pay as you go bathrooms (300CLP). We got here early and were able to beat the rush and find more secluded parking a bit further down the road under a shade tree(car camping) Although there’s not camping on the beach, there are two spots we found on iOverlander that worked for us for a night.
If you enjoy swimming and sunbathing while taking in incredible views and down mind a small crowed I’d definitely recommend this. If your looking to get further out on the water it makes it that much butter! 🚣♂️

This is gorgeous. You can feel the history, the machinery is well preserved (some trains are in bad shape, but others are in working condition), and the guided tour includes some nice and fun historical facts. The museum is free, and there's a special travel but it was suspended because the forest fires.

It is one of the best museums in chile. Why? Because of the people there and the trains of course. The entrance was free. You can enter some wagons, also free. Super nice people there.

Dates: Sunday, Dec. 2017
Cost: $2.000CLP/pp for foreigners
Pros:
- Lots of trails to walk around with plenty of shade and quiet spots to sit and enjoy nature
- Beautiful lookout spots to take pictures of the surrounding city.
- You could definitely take a picnic and enjoy time out in nature here without being seen by others.
Cons:
- It's easy to get lost on a trail such that you have to trek back quite a bit of ways to get back to your car to check your phone often (you do have a signal)
- We thought the restaurant would be open so we did not take any food with us the day we went and for whatever reason it was not open nor were any hours posted.
Overall: We definitely plan to go back here and have a picnic and hike around the area, it's beautiful.
