Florianopolis has a gorgeous natural sandboarding spot just outside the city that's perfect for a lazy day out. The park features dunes and beaches, making it a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, windsurfing, and sand boarding.
Breathtaking, and so much fun, you can rent a board to do some sand surfing or bring your own, the view is stunning. Just be prepared to find sand in every nook and cranny of your body.

These dunes are amazing. It costs R$20 per hour and they give you a bracelet so you are the only person allowed to use it for that hour. It is quite high and tirering so if your physical conditions aren't the best you might struggle with it. There are car parks nearby and they cost around R$10/20 per day but you can also park on the street and it will be fine. Some car parks have showers and toilets included on these prices. The boards are in good condition here and the staff is helpful. They also give you wax so the board can get more speed. The beach is nearby and you can get there walking. If the temperature is less than 25 degrees the water might be cold and it might bring jelly fishes. There are restaurants and bars in there. The dunes are just perfect and the moisture from the sea helps it to be in the best condition. Do not buy water from the place in front of it as it tastes like swage and it looks like they have bottled it themselves.

It’s ok. Actually a very busy beach so if you’re into that then it might be the right place for you. What’s great is the dunes sitting in the background. If you climb up you’ll get a very picturesque view of the beach!
Also the rocks on the left side of the beach is a cool spot to check out !

Joaquina Beach was one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen it in Florianópolis! The sea was at the best temperature, with perfect waves, and the colour of the water was unbelievable! Pte. Hercílio Luz in Florianópolis is a remarkable Art Deco-style bridge that served as the initial link between the island and the mainland. As Brazil's largest suspension bridge, it was unveiled in 1926 and has since become an iconic symbol of Florianopolis. Naufragados beach is a beautiful white sand beach that is known for its historic shipwrecks and 19th century lighthouse. It is a 45-minute hike from the trailhead to the beach, which is also popular among campers. The views in the beginning of the trail are nice, but it's the wide beach that draws in most people.

Well. Its a very working class family beach. It does not offer anything but its natural beauty and even so the place deserve better maintenance. Its unpleasant to see so much trash along the beach and on the trails. Perhaps investing in general education towards environmental preservation and the importance of recycling.

This was a great place with nice guides who spoke Portuguese, Spanish, and English. They have all kinds of adventure sports to keep you busy although we just went for the rafting and waterfall repelling. They were both fun and the guides kept us safe all the time. They also have a cafe next door where they are the chefs. It was a quaint and cozy place to sit and have real garden fresh food. Our guide and chef Chris made excellent crepes and also the sell homemade kombucha and spices. Chris made a spicy Mayo for the bravest of spice lovers. Farol de Santa Marta is a picturesque lighthouse situated amidst sandy beaches and dunes, renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views from the top. It's an idyllic destination to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. However, signal reception may not be reliable in some areas due to its remote location. The village itself is quite petite with limited night-time activities, but there are stunning beaches nearby that can be accessed via short trails.
The village didn't change much in the last 10 years, which - for me - is positive. I love the atmosphere. The lighthouse is somewhat nostalgic. If you're lucky, the Cardoso beach will surprise you with nice waves and crystal clear water.

Spectacular view from the top of the hill where the lighthouse sits. You have to park your car on the street and walk up a trail to the top of the hill , but it’s and extremely easy walk without too much inclination. It was summer when we went, so flowers were blooming and butterflies where hovering all around. This is a fascinating location for birdwatchers given the variety of birds flying around the trail. Once at the top of the hill and facing north, there’s is a stunning view of an old cemetery overlooking the ocean and a sand dune covered beach. Facing west, you are directly about the beach and town of Santa Marta. And East, is obviously an open view of the ocean crashing upon rocks. The lighthouse was closed, but even so, the view is worth the short hike up.

An antique lighthouse that long ago functioned with whale oil.
Beautiful and well-maintained, with bright white paint. The reason I only gave 4 stars was due to faulty directions, Google deposited us next to a cemetery. A couple of locals told us we could get to the lighthouse from there, and we found a section of fence missing and a small footpath twisting among cactus and tall grasses and weeds. Once we arrived at the lighthouse we pivoted and saw a sign behind us warning that venomous snakes were in that area. The area we had just crossed. Now we had a snake-infested field between us and 12-yr-old and our car. We couldn't shout a warning to our kid because of the wind and waves, but fortunately he didn't try to follow us.
Anyway, I'm going to try to suggest a different route, but if you end up next to a cemetery, don't walk through the plants to get to the lighthouse!

Ok, the rooms are small and not that comfy. But this is expected in this area. These are very old cabins converted to "pousadas". If you like staying in a place that feels like the early 1900s, this is it. The floor creaks, the beds are small. But the place more than makes up for the beauty of the surrounding area and the warm hospitality. The owners make you feel very welcomed and are very accommodating. The highlight of the place is the horseback riding. Outstanding scenery. You feel like a gaucho riding in here. Highly recommended for hikers or riders.

Canion Malacara is a must-visit tourist attraction located in the Serra Geral National Park. It offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim in natural pools of crystal clear water. The trailhead is 5 km away from Praia Grande in Santa Catarina and just over 25 km from Terra dos Canions. To reach the pools, visitors need to cross the canyon fissure and navigate around rocks to access one of the biggest pools within the park.
If you have experience with simple trails you dont need to go with a guide. BUT. you need a good gps. I used the garmin 66sr NOT a phone gps. There is no signal. Its hard to find the trail sometimes, especially when crossing the river. Snake protection is recommended and dont touch anything. Go long sleeved, and with long pants, vegetation is dense. Families or non biologists, I strongly recommend a guide. especially if there is rain its dangerous quickly so you need to be able to ‚read‘ the sky and weatherforcast.

Large stone slabs with running water, clean and very cold.

The water park itself provides thrilling rides that are pleasurable for visitors, along with delectable food options at reasonable prices. However, it is advisable to avoid weekends due to potential long queues. This remarkable destination presents diverse opportunities for amusement and dining experiences.
Incredible place. First, it's huge and there's so much to do. Took our 3 year old and there were a surprising amount of activities for someone her age. There are lots of pools and splashpads, various water slides for all ages and aventurine levels, a lazy river, a wave pool, pedal boats on the lake, a train ride to a farm with animals, roller coasters (even for toddlers), a ferris wheel, multiple play areas/ playgrounds. You could easily spend a couple of days here enjoying the park.
There are also bathrooms everywhere which is so nice with a little kid.
Tons of food choices and lots of chairs/ umbrellas for shade.

Estrada do Mar, Km 50 - nº 2000 Entre Arroio Teixeira e Curumim, Capão da Canoa - RS, 95555-000, Brazil
(Translated by Google) Wonderful place!!! As it is private property, entry is R$15 per person. Leave the car a little early and walk about 5 minutes to the waterfall. Super calm.
The road to the place goes through some bridges over the river, so it depends a lot on the weather. If it rained, it might be harder to cross, otherwise it's good.
Dogs are allowed!
It is forbidden to bathe under the waterfall and around it, but there is not a very good demarcation. There is usually one person to alert visitors.
I recommend getting into the water with flip-flops/sneakers/sneakers, as there are a lot of small, loose, pointed rocks, and for walking it's even better.

Local maravilhoso!!!

(Translated by Google) The waterfall is very beautiful. Crystal clear water, very cold, lots of rocks. There is an entry fee for a life insurance policy. Those coming from Porto Alegre via the Freeway, when accessing the road in the city, it takes +- 1h on a dirt road.
See the weather forecast, as the access road passes through 4 concrete bridges and one wooden bridge over the river. See the road on the map
At the waterfall site, you CANNOT enter coolers, buoys, snacks.. only bathers with flip-flops, cell phones and towels. You can take your farofada but you will have to return to the car.
I advise children to wear flip-flops or suitable tennis shoes inside the waterfall, it has many rocks.
Arrive early (8:30) around 11:00 there are already many families.

From the entrance to the waterfall you have to walk about 300 meters, mostly on the plain. It is also accessible to children and the elderly. From the main road to the entrance you have to travel about ten kilometers on a dirt road.

(Translated by Google) My favorite place in life 💚🌿
Access from "civilization" to Garapiá is via a dirt road with several submerged bridges, very low cars may have problems getting there, there are several little inns in the place, it's always a good idea to check the weather forecast before going, because when it rains The water rises a lot and you can be stranded for a while (sometimes from one day to the next) without being able to return.
On weekends during the season, access has a fee of 15 reais per person and you cannot enter with belongings.
It is possible to access the top of the waterfall too.
The place is worth every kilometer traveled to get there.

But there is a good space to park the car, bathrooms (very clean), there is an adult fee of 15 reais, my children are 9 years old and pay half price. From the parking lot to the waterfall, it's a 5-minute walk along a beautiful trail, to the sound of birds and the beauty of butterflies. The waterfall is beautiful with a bottom of loose stones, it gets deeper as you enter. It has a great swimming hole (you have to know how to swim as it is very deep).
About the way. At the end of the asphalt section there is still around 20km of dirt road. The day we went there were a lot of holes, but nothing that would stop the adventure. Here's a tip for an unforgettable trip!

(Translated by Google) Incredible place, worth the trip to see it. To access the waterfall, you need to pay a fee of 15.00 per person, and cars/motorcycles are parked in a dedicated location, where you can access as many times as you want. To access the waterfall, you cannot take food or drink items, I believe this is to preserve the environment, which is in fact very clean and there are no “human traces” with plastic waste scattered along the trail.
There is a responsible lifeguard at the waterfall, providing guidance on places that may be dangerous.
Note: there is no signal on the way to the waterfall, nor at the location, I suggest that whoever goes has the round trip route saved on their cell phone, so that they can access it without internet. But the place is easy to access, it is a single street, with signs indicating it.
