One of the best beaches to visit as it is very lively and it's pretty well maintained. The beach and water here is real attractive with all kinds of water sports. Do not ever take any combo as they just give you small rides and there is no value for money. People are everywhere ready to make a fool of you. Choose the right ride and take it individual as it's value for money.

It was heavily crowded but we loved the beach. It is one of the best beaches in North Goa. It's more beautiful at night with all lights. Maybe this is not good for kids because people drink everywhere

Must visit place in Goa, if you are party person, then yes this is the place to visit during evening.
It's always crowded, and beach shacks are open till late night. Beach is well maintained and very clean.
Recommended for group of friends during evening time.

This is by far known to be Goa to most of the people who come to Goa for a vacation. To the fact its not so but yes it has the biggest parking lot I have seen in all the beaches I have visited in goa plus its most crowded beach ⛱️ 365 days of the year. The shacks are filled with all sorts of people from young to all oldies.
I found this place a little less on hygiene and cleanliness. This doesn't bother people who are party animals but to others who have not come just for parties.

Baga Beach, located in vibrant North Goa, offers a lively atmosphere and stunning sunset views. Renowned for its exciting water sports activities, the beach presents a dynamic experience. However, the downside includes overcrowding, leading to cleanliness issues, and a lack of beach amenities for optimal enjoyment. Additionally, certain areas restricted for water sports can limit the overall beach experience.
Aman Siddiqui — Google review
During my stay we had early morning walks at 5:30 AM to Baga Beach. The sun barely peeking over the horizon, casting an orange glow. The sand, cool and damp under bare feet. Cleanliness here is good to average depending on time. Breathtaking view of the ocean with boats at distant. We built sandcastles hearing the sound symphony of ocean waves and birds chirping. Ambience so mesmerizing giving peace and bliss like meditation. At Night it is chaotic with DJ sounds and Nightlife lights. At night you would be asked every now and then for Bars, Tatoo or Hookah here by waiters and agents. If you want to truly experience this beach just lace up shoes in early morning when it is still dark. It was a soul rejuvenating experience for me in early morning.
Shreyas Deshmukh — Google review
The sunset is the highlight of this place. It was absolutely stunning. However the beach is pretty crowded and once it’s 6pm the venues start competing next to each other with crazy high volumes of music. Some might describe it as torture. Beautiful place but humans make it something less than beautiful.
Paul Harrison — Google review
This beach is most famous one and it will be crowded all the time. There are many entertaining activities like we can go for paragliding and speed boats.... The moment we get into this beach we can feel party vibes.

Chapora Fort
Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
Ruined centuries-old fortress on a headland, a popular vantage point for sunsets over the sea.
A very nice place with beautiful view points. One should climb some 100 steps to reach the fort. Entry is free here and it is generally good for sunset view. The place is extremely hot and visitors should take sufficient water, hat or umbrella. There are a number of shops on either side of the pathway and at the top. The cost is a little high compared to general price
Sruthi Veeramani — Google review
Not quite impressed with the fort as there is nothing much to see apart from sea view from hill top. Visiting this place in early morning would be highly recommend as there are no shelters around or inside the fort for a visit in noon.
It's was hot and drains a lot of energy.
One suggestion is that if you are welling to visit make sure you get down to the other side of the fort for a beach view which is worth your time.
Abhishek Gowda — Google review
Great place to have a great view of Vagator and another beach just backside but don’t know the name . Just sit back n relax with friends you will love the vibes . This is more famous for the shooting of movie Dil Chahta Hai
Sonam Swain — Google review
Nice place to visit, provides a top view of the ocean and the creek. Early morning and evening are best slots, though we had travelled in afternoon. Parking is chargeable. Small shops around the stairs sells lots of stuff, collectible as memento. I loved the one at the entrance, the guy selling spices and then the one at the bottom, selling leather bags.
Bikramjit — Google review
Nice, pleasant and calm place to visit with your friends and family. The place is very big, you can go and sit anywhere and enjoy the beautiful views. The fort entry closes at 5.30pm in the evening, and it takes around 20-25 minutes walking through steps to reach the fort in the top. So plan your visit accordingly. Carry some snacks or you can also buy from the many shops available alongside the steps to fort. Must visit place if you are nearby.
Shreejit Achari — Google review
Historically, I recommend visiting the place as one of the highest places where we can watch the nearby beach. Wonderful view point and recommending that visit morning between 10 am 12 pm or 3 pm to 5 Pm in the evening in the Summer season. Too much walking is required, hence avoiding kids and elderly people. There are juice points available to get refreshment. No tickets when I visited in the month of March 2024.

In North Goa, Chapora Fort is a true beauty! The ascent is well worth it for the magnificent views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding countryside that one gets from the summit of the fort.
Google images led me to the conclusion that the sunset at Chapora Fort is quite breathtaking. Its a photographer's paradise. I arrived here around lunchtime, so I was unable to witness the sunset.

Ashwem Beach is a sandy beach located south of Arambol Beach in Goa. It is less crowded than other beaches in the state and peaceful with clear waters. The ambiance at Morjim Beach will sooth any travel fatigue.
This is one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches of North Goa. It has a great balance of beachfront resorts, views, and good vibes. 💙

Ashlee beach is definitely like a private beach, very clean, a very good place to relax and chill. This beach is very less crowded and can find families most of the times. This beach has constant life guards patrolling. The seven art was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk. This safe for kids to place in sand.

Nice beach and very little crowd. Good for photo lovers, nice perforated rocks at the beach for the awesome photography.
sanjeev kumar — Google review
This could be a wonderful place but unfortunately neither the local authorities nor the hotels on the beach (that make lots of money from being located there) take care of the beach, especially in low season. There is trash everywhere and leftover oil from fishing boats is poured into the rivers that flow into the ocean and kills anything living there.
It's incredibly sad to see that no one seems to care. Tourism is the main income for the area, but eventually people will be deterred from coming as Goa is turning into an ecological disaster..

A lesser known beach in North Goa you must visit. They have surf schools here, and the beach is quite pretty for a good experience

Ashvem Beach in Goa offers a picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The golden sands stretch out before you, kissed by the gentle waves of the Arabian Sea. It's a place where you can truly unwind and soak in the natural beauty of the coastline.
However, my experience was somewhat tarnished by the amount of litter scattered across the beach. Despite efforts to keep it clean, there's still a noticeable amount of garbage, which detracts from the otherwise serene ambiance.
Another issue that needs addressing is the presence of stray dogs. While some may find them charming, their numbers can be overwhelming, especially if you're looking for a peaceful spot to relax without interruption.
Krishnakumar KP — Google review
Ashvem beach lies in between two of the most crowded beaches in North Goa namely Mandrem and Arambol. But unlike its neighbors, Ashvem receives comparatively very less footfall and hence it is a very peaceful beach to visit. Away from the noisy Goa, Ashvem offers peace and is easily accessible by roads. Clean surroundings, flat seabed and firm sand is what makes it suitable for a quick dip. It could get windy at times but it surely is a must visit if you are on the North side of Goa. Food and drinking options on the beach are limited and a bit on the expensive side. No public restrooms but the restaurants here allow tourists to access their washrooms if required. Overall it’s a very nice and cozy beach with a very peaceful vibe to it.
Siddhant G — Google review
Ashwem Beach, adorned with fine sands, stands as a serene oasis amidst vibrant India, is home to dining venues that masterfully blend local essences with culinary artistry.
Ákos Blázsik — Google review
It's a very beautiful beach and also a nesting site for the olive Ridley turtle. It's a humble request to everyone who visits this place, to not litter 🚮 and keep the beach clean. Please take your trash with you. The beach also has a lot of stray dogs, who can be spotted taking dips in the ocean. There are a lot of places to stay around the beach if you wish to spend a few days there.

Hands down, the best beach in Goa for introverts or people who like serenity and less crowd. It is also the cleanest beach in North Goa. Your eyes won't burn after swimming in it.
This beach attracts a lot of foreigners, too. In the morning, you may feel like you're on a private beach, lol. Must visit place, but tbh I don't really want people to go there (selfish me).
Morjim Beach Road, also known as "Little Russia," is a popular destination in Goa, attracting a large number of Russian tourists who stay for extended periods. The area is filled with Russian restaurants, offering visitors a unique dining experience compared to other parts of Goa.

Arambol Beach, located in the small village of Arambol in Goa, is a hidden gem waiting to be explored. This beach offers golden sands, gentle waves, and visitor facilities such as eateries and snack stands. Known for its lively flea market, hippie culture, and exciting nightlife, Arambol Beach also provides opportunities for adventure sports like paragliding and kitesurfing.
This is the best beach for those who are searching beach with less crowd and clean water. Less crowd and many foreigners, with great beauty and scenery. Lots of good shacks are here for your Drinks and food. Parasailing activity is also available. You will really enjoy the beach while playing. No sudden depths. The beach is pretty beautiful and quite huge. Great for a walk or sun/sea bathing even. It’s become very crowded in the recent years though. Lots of places for you to eat/drink/chill through the day but the one big problem is the limited number of places with decent or even usable washrooms, so I’d suggest check that before you decide where you’re gonna be sitting down.

One my favourite beaches in Goa. The beach is great has nice waves and no stones like Anjuna.
You can spend the whole day here. It has a lot of nice shacks for food drinks and sunbathing. Towards evening you get ice creams shops, some fire shows, live match screenings.
It does not have the party atmosphere hence it's more relaxing.
Also the beach has many playful dogs.

Very serene and nice beach. Was a bit crowded on weekend even in off season. The best spot to view the sunset is through the market road which goes to sweet water lake. There's a corner right turn through the market. Which is exactly in front of the rocks. The rocks can be sighted from the beach too. I found this spot the best to view sunset. Some people were climbing the rocks. The rocks look very rough and sharp. So be careful before trying any stunt. A small injury can ruin your entire trip. So be wise. Thanks🌹.

This beach is located in the northern part of Goa and is very beautiful and clean as compared to the other North Goa beaches. A lane on the left side from the main road leads to the parking area of the beach and then from there a narrow alley leads to the beach. Parking space is abundant and you'll have to pay 50 rupees for parking. Shacks and small food stalls are present both in the parking area and on the beach.

First beach on our stop today - 50 INR to park and a bunch of vendors leading up to the beach. Some restaurants have toilet for paying customers only. Water temperatures was WARM like a bath and it is March - too hot for my ocean preference! The Hawkers were ridiculously persistent and if u show ANY interest they will hound u, call u cheap, and BEG u to buy. If u go to this beach, don’t make eye contact or even acknowledge them talking to u - play deaf 🧏

It's a beautiful beach ... you will see more Foreigners than Indians in this beach. This beach is the furthest and there are lot of water sports activities that you can do. Paragliding is also done here. The beach sacks are just awesome.... mostly all are good , serving great food. The atmosphere in the evening is so vibrant and suddenly transforms the whole beach to party mode. You just can have drinks, food till the waves touches your feet. You can take a small trek and also visit the small sweet water lake.

Im a regular visitor to this place from 2000 and this is one of the beaches I like in Goa ..
Recently I felt like this place lost its old charm .
Now it's over crowded just like other famous beached around .. but its the same situation almost everywhere.. and its not going to change .. so can't complaint about it .
You can find some decent restaurants , tattoo , clothes and souvenir shops in the main street .

Visited this beach for an evening. They charge INR 50 for parking four-wheelers. The beach is okay but crowded with many shacks and restaurants. However, there are beggars who can be bothersome, asking for money all the way to the beach which is quite frustrating as kids are involved.
there are shops near by for beachside shopping and for getting juices. Plenty of parking is available, and it’s a nice spot for watching sunsets and taking pictures. There are no washrooms near by.

Very clean and nice beach. It's getting crowded now but still better than other beaches in North Goa. Various options for hut stay are available on the beach. Lots of places to take photos.
The beach is not clean, everywhere you can see a lot of wastes, and there are a lot of cows in and around.
It will be great if we are making the beach clean so it looks great.

This Island is located 📍 in Malvan and the place is called as Island 🏝️ because it's 200meter away from the main beach ⛱️ and during high time this Island submerge in the water 🌊. The people of Malvan make a living out of this, they have their shops here of breakfast 🍳 water and various water activities. People do Kayaking over here and you can also enjoy some hot 🔥 Vada pav (obviously they charge you a bit over and above the normal price).
You can come here by boat ⛵ they will drop you here and you can enjoy doing activities and everything and you can make a phone call to the boat guy again he will come back to pick you up.

It is a small island that appeared in the backwaters of karli river after tsunami in 2004. Locals have turned it into the water sports & refreshment center. You can enjoy various water sports & boating activities here. One must try local 'Ghavne Chutney' with 'chaay' here. They are delicious..!!

The water is very clear. When there is high tide the island disappears and during low tide it reappears.
Must do boating at morning as there is less crowd and pleasant weather

Nice place to visit for water sports. This place was automatically created after sunami in 2004. After research in 2006 they name this place as sunami Island. This place is 5 different types of sands. This place then will get popular for water sports. Many small stalls for snacks is available. This place would be underwater for 6 hours and would dry for 6 hours. People will enjoy playing inside water.
Sindhudurg Fort is a 17th-century stronghold that can only be accessed by ferry and offers self-guided tours with views of the sea. The fort is completely surrounded by water, and some areas are well kept. It's advisable to avoid visiting during hot summer months, but it's a fascinating historical site that's best explored with a guide in groups or families to fully appreciate its history.
The fort is surrounded by water from all the sides, need to take ferry ⛴️ to reach there. Few areas are well maintained. One should avoid visiting during scorching summer

Sindhudurg Fort, a maritime marvel nestled on an island off the Konkan coast, is a captivating testament to the ingenuity of its creators. The journey to the fort is an aquatic adventure itself, with boats ferrying visitors across the azure waters of the Arabian Sea.
Once on the fort, history unfolds in its sturdy stone walls and intricately carved bastions. The fort's strategic location, built to safeguard against maritime threats, offers a glimpse into the maritime prowess of its era. The central temple and various structures within the fort reveal a fascinating blend of architecture and cultural heritage.
Exploring Sindhudurg Fort is like stepping into a bygone era. The expansive views of the sea from the fort's vantage points are mesmerizing and offer a serene backdrop for contemplation. The peaceful ambience invites visitors to connect with history while surrounded by the soothing sound of waves.
However, the lack of detailed information and signage could be improved to enhance the visitor experience. Additionally, the boat journey might not be suitable for those prone to seasickness.
In conclusion, Sindhudurg Fort is a captivating escape into the past, where history and natural beauty converge. It's a destination that offers a unique glimpse into maritime heritage and invites visitors to immerse themselves in its rich history and tranquil surroundings.

One time visit is good. Nothing much is left in the fort. Ferry service which you are using is worst ever. They are not providing any type of safety jackets so be careful. Couple of temples are available on the Forts. Some historical sweet water wells are also you can see. Many people are staying at Fort only. Entry fee you have to pay separately which is 5 Rupees only. If you want guide some local guide is also available which you can hire them they will provide all information about Fort. Most of things are damaged there and our government is also not taking care of it to preserve the history. Overall it's good experience because people on fort are very polite.

A very beautiful fort in between the sea. Breath taking sunset view. Best time to visit the fort is around 4 pm when you explore n enjoy the sunset and come in the last boat. First you need to take tickets for the ferry that is around 100 INR for each. After that again one more ticket you have to purchase which 5 INR for the fort. I loved to sit there peacefully watching the water hitting the rocks. Amazing experience❤️

The Sindhudurg fort was built by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fortress lies on the shore of Malvan taluka of the Sindhudurg District in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, 450 kilometres (280 mi) south of Mumbai. It is a protected monument. Its main objective was to counter the rising influence of foreign (English, Dutch, French and Portuguese) merchants and to curb the rise of Siddhis of Janjira.[4] Construction was supervised by Hiroji Indulkar in 1664. The fort was built on a small island known as the Khurte island. You have several ferry boats taking you to the fort. You can enjoy a scenic water ride to reach here . The fees are around 150 per person for the boats available. They also have guides available to guide and explain to you more about the fort where they give you more details.

The view from fort is tremendously beautiful.
We went in almost summer time but the wind over fort was pretty cold due to sea.

There are handprints and footprints of chattaprati shivaji maharaj which is most unique part of fort.

They take you really far from that coast you will be able to feel in the boat 🚢 when you left the beach and entered the ocean 🌊 the stream will be much bigger and shaky, wearing a life jacket 🧥 is mandatory 🛟.

A great place to visit, luckily not many water sports activities are conducted directly on Tarkarli beach, if not it would just interfere with the peacefulness of the beach. The length of the beach is pretty long, so mostly people are spread out. The rush at the entrance is bad with people parking cars and a gross mass of tourists at the same spot. The water is clean and hopefully it stays the same without tourism and litterbugs ruining the place.

Best natural scenery with the lord temple. Very old Shankar ling found in the sea. The water never crosses its limit and comes to road even in worst situation. That is god's blessings here. Every year during mahashivratri a lot of people visit to get the blessings. The beach is very clean. They have maintained the place very clean with xerox plastic or any other garbage. Very clean and once you visit and see the beauty you will hardly unvisit it every time u visit devgad. The MTDC resort is very costly to stay although it's near the beach. The nature is awesome for years behind since we are visiting here since last 12- 14 years.

Very lovely Beach. The colour of sea is mix of blue and green. White sand.
Only thing is beach is not maintained. Seashore is quite full of plastic and beer bottles😐😪😪. Requested everyone to take responsibility of keeping it clean. Throw garbage in bin not on beach

20 January 2023.
Kunkeshwar Beach.
We had arrived at Kunkeshwar on the evening of 19th January and left on the morning of 21st January 2023.
Throughout our stay, we did not lose a single opportunity to spend as much time as possible on the beach.
Clean white sand, gently sloping seabed, clear skies, water, and warm sunshine. Not much or negligible crowd. Calm and quite atmosphere what else one wants from a beach. Kunkeshwar beach gives you all this and more.
During all of our stay, only a small crowd was seen on 20th.
On the 20th, late morning/ early afternoon, there was a busload of school children who had
come to the temple and the beach on a school excursion.
There were about 40 to 50 odd children, boys, and girls playing on the beach, building sand castles, and generally enjoying, having fun, and having time of their life. Their happiness was infectious and washed of on us as well.
The best part was when one of their teachers approached Priti and asked if she had any objection if some of the girls took selfies with her! A few shy girls, too shy to ask themselves for a selfie, did come and clicked some selfies After that it was free fir all and the children had good photo session with us all.
It was not only refreshing but a novel experience of all of us.
Had wonderful times at Kunkeshwar Beach

Moti Talao is a beautiful lake in the heart of Sawantwadi town. It is surrounded by lush greenery and has a paved walkway around its perimeter. There are also several beautiful buildings surrounding the lake, including the State Palace, the old market, and the City Town Hall.
In the evenings, Moti Talao is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. People come to enjoy the cool breeze, the serene atmosphere, and the colorful fountains that light up the lake. There are also several food stalls and restaurants nearby, so you can enjoy a meal while you take in the sights and sounds of the lake.

Vijaydurg Fort
Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
Sprawling remains of an imposing medieval fortress, with panoramic sea & sunset views.
One of the important forts for Maratha empire. The fort is covered by ocean from 3 sides.
Helium was found from this fort. Hence, Helium day is celebrated every year. There are a few good structures to see here.
Well connected by road. Parking is open. Crowded on weekends, holidays.
There are a few open beaches in this area.

Nice place and the one of the best fort to visit in west coast of Maharashtra.
First falls in Sindhudurg district.
Ancient structure has three security boundary walls and is must visit in month of December as there are lot of functions at that time.
Personally I liked the fort and the scenic beauty nearby.
One can also enjoy ⛵ as it's available near by fort. The place has port as well.
nawaz ipperi — Google review
One of the prime sea fort of Maratha empire. Although it build in pre Maratha era in eleventh century, this fort is one of the most well preserved navel fort till date. This fort holds great historical values as this was main base of Maratha navy. Require 2 hours to explore this fort. Guide is not required (300-400 INR charge) if you well researched about this fort. All important places in forts are well marked. Best time to visit this fort is in monsoon season or at monsoon ending around September when fort usually covered with greenery.

Pls try to reach by 4pm so that you can spend good time and click lot of pics. Fort has many good points to click the pics. Car parking is available. Fort is not maintained very well.

Killé Vijaydúrga !
One of the most Magnificent Fort experiences!
This fort is really a must go, if you love historical monuments. The small small details, which are still intact, is mesmerising to look at. Also the ocean view from up above is stunning.
We went during Early monsoon in the month of June. Make sure you carry water because it takes a couple of hours to explore this wonderful place properly.
Mukund Shinde — Google review
One of the oldest forts along the Sindhudurg coast. This fort has changed hands a number of times.
Fort has a rich history. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj won this fort in 17th century. Its fortification is quite strong. This fort had a strong hold due to its location. It’s surrounded by water on the 3 sides making it difficult for the enemy to attack.
Fort structure is pretty much intact along with its walls but it’s in bad shape. Fort has not been maintained at all. We need to preserve our rich heritage but nothing has been done to save this Fort so far.
We saw some construction work going on right at the entrance of the fort. Hoping for the best.
Views from the fort wall are good. People also come over here to enjoy fishing. We saw a group enjoying the same. You get guides at the entrance.
Best time to visit is either monsoons or winters. If you plan to cover the fort on your own you might finish it within an hour. But if you go with the guide, you might end up spending 2-3 hrs.
Banjaaraa Couple — Google review
Do take local guide to understand the importance and history around the fort.
Do maintain the decorum of the place. One of the largest forts in Maharashtra situated on western coast. Glorious Fort indicating the strong power bases of Maratha Empire. It has a history of more than 800 years where it saw many ups and downs and that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj made it an important place with respect to Naval bases in Fort initially build by Raja Bhoj for trading and then expanded by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for protection from naval attack from enemies.
Sukumar Rajage — Google review
The fort is really good , Has a lot many tales to tell . BUT IT IS IN WRONG HANDS .. Unlike the forts of Rajasthan and MP , it is poorly maintained and has 0 entry charges .. Making it easily prone to abuse . I felt very bad seeing the unmaintained coloumns and broken structures by roots . Since it is a high rainfall zone , it needs more care .. Maharashtra tourism's attitude is disheartening. 40 rs are being extorted by local panchayat in the name of parking but not a single rupee for the fort .
It offers spectacular view of the western coast and arabian sea .
There is the first place where Helium decay rays were discovered , many sound propogating building design and a lot of technicalities .
The Guides available donot seem to have much knoledge and work as photographers instead .
There is a Hanuman temple which has a dargah like top as a tactical decoy to prevent invading forces from Arab and Iberian peninsula (dutch &portuguese) to destroy ...
Its phenominal but the irony is whether to appriciate the minds of those thought that way or to feel ashamed about what our own cultures were subjected to on our own lands .
It has a totally different vibe in monsoons ..
60 to 90 minute drive from Talere square .
Has regular Busea from Ratnagiri and Kankavli .. And also one each from Panaji and Mumbai .

Amazing place to be. Sun worship is very prevalent in konkan till today and kanakaditya is the best example. The temple has been renovated recently but has an old world charm to it.
The sun idol is said to be more than a thousand years old and it was brought here by Gujrati merchants by sea route. The idol is made of black stone and is very carefully decorated
The temple is a must visit of you are planning a konkan trip.
The temple premises have a place for staying as well.

One of the rare Sun Temple. Very beautiful. Very clean. Sincere staff and priests keep it holy and won't make it a business place. Did Abhishek puja. It was a great experience. There is a Bhakta Nivas (lodging) next to the temple, which is very clean. They also offer lunch/dinner on request. It is said that Kalika devi is Shri Kanakaditya's wife. The breathtaking Amboli Waterfalls is located in the hill station of Amboli in south Maharashtra in India.
This incredibly high waterfall is surrounded by numerous other waterfalls as well, and the sight of the falling water and the surrounding greenery add to the beauty and charm of the already mesmerising place. Since the beauty of the falls cannot be enjoyed throughout the year, the excitement and curiosity to witness this magical waterfall becomes doubled, and couples, children, groups of friends, as well as families, have a gala time at the Amboli Waterfalls.

Be careful and keep a check on the rains if you are planning to visit during monsoon as there are cases of landslides every year.

Lots of delicious Vada pav, sabudana Vada, corn, onion pakoda, chai, coffee stalls at its base.
Do not feed the monkeys. They are not scared of humans.

We visited in May-22 and still it was cool place to visit, dense forest, fog n cool breeze in morning. We only managed to spot 3 bisons but climate was refreshing.
Management needs to look into service, should atleast provide clean toilets at entry point of forest, should arrange facility to purchase some snacks at entry point (eg water bottles, chips, biscuits, tea coffee etc).
Road in jungle is rough and only forest department jeeps are allowed, you can get on for 1800 rs which can accomodate 7 PPL. Safari is for around 4-5 hrs, runs in two slots morning and evening.
Entry fee of 200 per person charged over and above the car rent.

I visited this place in December 2022. The entry to the wildlife sanctuary is from Olvan village which is just 1 kms before the starting of Phonda Ghat. There are small homestays where you can reach the night prior and stay as it is best to start the jungle safari in early morning, may be at 5 or 5:30. The safari needs to be done only thru the authorized jeeps by paying a charge per vehicle plus entry ticket per person. This Sanctuary is very dense jungle and sometimes that makes spotting difficult. *Remember: This is not zoo. A person may end the safari without seeing any Bison. * But at the same time, you need to be equally or even more vigilant than your driver cum guide and keep your attention at all sides. I have observed the drivers are in a hurry to take you around and finish the ride quicky so that he gets the next customer. But insist the driver on going slow. When I visited, I was very demanding and the tour took more than 4 hours for me. Probe a lot and ask question so that he too will give you lot of information. Expect some other small animals like jungle hen, Indian giant squirrel etc. You can also find beautiful butterflies, flowers during the tour. As the roads are very bad, persons with motion sickness should avoid going here. Also keep in mind, do not litter, carry plastic inside. This place has a good potential if the government works on tourism development.

Note: From June 5 2023, Dajipur Wildlife Sanctuary will remain close until future updates.
Morning Times are the best, the animals can be seen when they are drinking water, soo the timing of drinking water is in the morning hours like around 6.
Also, luckily animals can be seen anywhere if you have a good luck
It is better to have a pre night stay and then starting your ride early in the morning

This place opens at 6 am in the morning. The best time to start the safari is 6 am to 10 am as animals come to drink water so we can see them easily. There are shekarus in the forest which is state animal of maharashtra.
We went in may still there were lush green trees.
We took a jeep for 10 people which costed us ₹2000 and each persons ticket was ₹ 50
Must visit once. This forest is well resereved. There are towers on the main site points which are good photogenic and view from there is amazing.
The guids are nice. they try their best so that we can see the animals.
Even if we dont see any animal the road journey in the jungle is worth it.
It is a 4 to 5 hrs journy so bring your own water bottle, caps, goggles, some snacks etc.

You can rent govt jeep safari for 8 people for 1800/-. They will take you on a 3.5 hour return safari inside the jungle covering 22 kms one way. If you are lucky, you might spot the bison and some monkeys. You can visit to see the beauty of the jungle and mountains, but don't keep your hopes high to see any animals. Best time to visit is monsoon. And early mornings any season.

4. It takes 4 hour's to see sanctuary. So visiti at morning.
5. If u r lucky you'll see animal's.
6. But if unfortunately u cannot visit sanctury still u have lovely road. Backwater.
Second visit
7. Best time to visit - oct to Jan
8. We've booked car for 6 people for 1800 Rs. And ticket 200 Rs. It took us 5 hour's. And we saw bison only. Animals are not visible on afternoon as they are resting because of heat. Morning & evening time is best.
9. Bring your own water bottle and snacks. As journey is very long.

Beautiful Lord Shiva Temple ❤️
It is located on top of mountain. You will have to climb around 400+ steps. They are not difficult to climb. There is shop lane on side until you reach the top. There are chairs placed in front of shops where you can rest a bit while climbing and you will not even know you already reached the top.
There is beautiful waterfall beside temple and staircase is there to go down and watch the view.
There are monkeys around, you can buy them snacks 😄
Parking available.
Washroom available.
Weekends are crowded but manageable.
Lunch and snacks options available.
There is shop named Prashant Pranil in the lane at base of temple. The shop owner has small hotel( almost like small house) 5-10 min away (by car) from temple with same name where you can get freshly cooked homemade meal. We had garam garam Zunka and Bhakri. It was yummy.

In the state of Maharashtra, there is a small taluka called Sangameshwar in Ratnagiri district. Marleshwar is a famous place of Shiva at a distance of 16 km from Devrukh village in the same taluk. This Shivsthan is in a cave on a mountain. There are two Shivpindis in this cave, one of which is known as Mallikarjuna and the other is known as Marleshwar. It is said that these two are brothers and Mallikarjuna is the elder brother. The cave is inhabited by snakes and snakes. But they do not harm anyone.
Parvati was not here when this place was created. And so it is the practice of this temple that Shiva and Parvati get married here every Makar Sankranti. 'Marleshwar' is the groom and Sakharpa village ‘Girijadevi' is considered as the bride and marriage is arranged. From Sakharpya, 'Girijaidevi' goes in a palanquin from Maral village to Marleshwar. This wedding ceremony is performed in Lingayat style. These Shiva Pindi are Swayambhu. Yatra is held at this place on two days, the day before Makar Sankranti and Sankranti.
For this ceremony, people from the surrounding areas walk to see Mareshwar. After going to Marleshwar, first take a bath under the waterfall and then visit Marleshwar. Located in a small cave away from the village, this place is surrounded by beautiful scenery and green forest. There are high mountains on all three sides. One of the attractions of this place is the waterfall that flows here. Falling from a height of about 200 feet, this waterfall is known as 'Dhareshwar'.
It is said that this waterfall receives a total of twelve smaller waterfalls. From the bank of Sahyadri, this waterfall starts flowing as Bavandi. Bathing under this waterfall in the month of Magh is considered very sacred.

I also tried faluda which was decent in taste. I sat there for some time as it was really calm . Try to visit during odd hours you may find less crowds. Especially during weekdays it's really less crowded so you can easily find some place for yourself and spend some peaceful time. You can either read a book, eat something from there or just stare at continuously moving waves of the Lake.
I visited during August last week when it's not too rainy nor too cloudy . I also tried the boat ride which was worth spending for sure. I took dolphin ride for 2 people.

A truly divine, peaceful temple with very rich history. It has a different energetic vibe. All of your worries, tensions will be wiped out whenever you see the idol. One of my must visit temple. The stone carvings carries ancient energies of beautiful mythological stories. The traditional shops around the temple premises are so beautiful and affordable too. The temple is beautiful and exudes a peaceful and calm atmosphere. It's centrally located and radiates positive vibes.
However parking can be an issue.
Street parking is available nearby and there is a municipal parking lot, but it can be somewhat hard to find.
The municipal parking charges 30 rs for cars. Toilet facilities are also available. It's about a 15-minute walk from the parking lot to the temple.
Be cautious of locals who may try to charge 50rs for parking closer to the temple, as the municipal parking is a more cost-effective and trustable option.

Shri Ambabai Temple or Mahalakshmi Temple in Kohlapur is one of the ancient Shakthipeethams in India. This sixth century Chalukya temple is an architectural wonder. It appears that a major earthquake in the 8th century which damaged most of the original structure and has been reconstructed over the centuries.
The temple complex has four main entrances. The complex includes five huge spires. The main idol is Goddess Mahalakshmi. Next to the main idol is Goddess Mahakali and Goddess MahaSaraswathi thus representing the three Goddesses of Hinduism.
It is so devine to have a Darshan of Shri Ambabai and what a positive experience and energy!

This was one of my bucket list places. I had been at and around Kolhapur many times but never had the luck to visit this serene place.
The main temple is awesome and an experience to behold.
Not much crowded even on Fridays even in the morning. You get to see the main deity Ambabai quite clearly for a minute until you actually stand in front of the deity. It was a mesmerizing experience.

Best hours to get darshana of mahalakshmi/abmmbabai in early morning or night hours because it's always crowded especially on weekends or public holidays.
The traditional shops around the temple premises are so beautiful and affordable too. You can shop Puja saman ooti plate and traditional food items, ornaments etc around the mandapa market.
The parking is bit problem difficult to find and the roads are very narrow so better avoid coming by your car 🚘 or park in your staying hotel and walk or take auto for temple.
Sharing day and night pictures of temple here Do visit once in a life.

This place has so much important history but at present not taken care of properly. Everything was rusting which was sad to see the weapons and so many tools of that era.
A proper care of palace is needed which will keep the legacy of the great king Shahu Maharaj alive.

From entry itself you’ll feel the fresh breeze due to the greenery around.
Parking is ample for every type of vehicle.
Palace is marvellous. Maintenance can be improved like name tags on pictures, some artefacts are not in place.

I visited this place recently. It is a very beautiful place for history lovers. Very beautiful and legendary things are very well preserved in this place. The main attraction of this place is to see remains of animals hunted by Shahu Maharaj. Also different types of furniture can be seen there which is very beautiful. Attractive paintings have enhanced the beauty of the palace. Overall a very beautiful place to see.
Note: I am not posting any kind of photos as photography of animal remains is not allowed. Also photography of anything is not allowed there.

The experience at the new palace was delightful as there were no queues to enter the palace, though the ticket counter had a few people lined up since it was a Sunday. The entrance and exit for the palace museum are the same so note the galleries that you pass on the inward journey and track them back to the entrance. Nice sprawling lawns provide a nice place to take break and enjoy the great views of the palace. ♿ The new palace has limited accessibility.

This Palace has some good views and people can spend 1 hour to 2 hours here.
Good for children and high school students for knowledge on how they have lived their lifestyle and culture.
Management needs to improve a lot on Palace maintenance and cleaning, especially walls and animals stored Glass Cage.
No proper guidance on how to see step by step.
They have to do a lot of work on Maintaining, because this palace is not just Income source it's our Pride and Lifestyle they set for as.
The worst thing that happened to me was that Security Guards are very rude to other state people, while entering inside the Palace they will ask everyone to Switch Off their Mobile. But the scenario is different after going inside many people are taking Photos with their Mobiles. I informed the Security Guard, he just said I didn't see it so I don't care, literally some people are taking photos in front of him.
No proper AC(Air Conditioning), at least they should have kept some Pedestal Fans.
No Toilets inside this place.
Please Carry Water on your Own.
For Food and Beverages there is a Police Cafe, which you can buy.
