The device they were using fell into the well hitting hard object. When they dug further, blood started to gush out of the well and the three got rid of their disabilities. A very well maintained temple. Now renovation work is in progress , which is scheduled to be completed by Aug'22 before Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Must visit the temple if you are at Tirupathi.

Kanipakam Vinayaka temple, Chittoor Overview
Chittoor is a district laden with famous temples, one of them being the Kanipakkam Vinayaka Temple. The temple was ideated and constructed in the 11th century CE by Kulothunga Chola I, a revered Chola king. It was then rebuilt in 1336 by the Vijayanagara rulers.
What makes the Kanipakam temple unique is the fables and legends associated with it! It is reported that the idol of Vinayaka grows every year; The armour offered to the deity 50 years ago does not fit anymore!
This historical temple with Ganesha as its primary deity is also known as Shrine of Water and is in Irala Mandal of Chittoor district. The regal Kanipakam temple has immense religious significance and importance because of its miraculous idol. The water found in the complex is believed to be holy and can cure various deformities

About a 1000 years ago, there lived three physically-disabled brothers. While one of the brothers was blind, the other was dumb and the third was deaf. They earned their modest living by cultivating a small piece of land close to Viharapuri village.
On a certain day, when one of the brothers was irrigating the land via different channels, the other two were drawing the water from a well using the Piccota System. During the task, to their utter dismay, they discovered that the water of the well had dried up. One of the brothers got down the well and began digging its bed with an iron spade. Soon after commencing this job, he was awe-struck to realise that his spade has been floundering about in the waters and hitting a stone-like object underneath.
When the brothers saw blood oozing out from the stone formation, they were astounded to behold the miracle. In no time, the blood mixed with the entire water in the well in such a way that there was no difference between the two. Meanwhile, the brothers got blessed by the divine sight and got rid of their former physical defects. When the news of these events reached the ears of the villagers, they rushed towards the well and tried hard to deepen the well. Their endeavour, however, bore no fruit because a self-manifested idol of Lord Ganesha showed itself to them
Stunned beyond words with the divine revelation, the villagers offered loads of coconuts and other love offerings to the self-manifested idol, along with their humble prayers. The coconut water started flowing into a stream, to a distance of more than one and a quarter acres. This phenomenon led to the coinage of the word “Kanipakam” where "Kani" means wetland and "Pakam" means flow of water into wetland.
Till this day, the idol lies in its original place, that is, in the well from beneath it had sprung. The waters of the holy well never dry up, thus signifying the immortality of the Divine Power. In the monsoons, the well overflows with the sanctified water, and it is offered to the devotees as theertham.
An Incredible Fact is that , the Lord Vinayak of Kanipakam is that the idol is reportedly growing in size with the passage of time. Currently, only the knees and abdomen of the idol are visible. The testimony to the fact is the silver kavacham (armour) offered to the idol by one of the ardent devotees about fifty years ago, which does not fit the idol today!
Several people have been visiting the temple since a long time to resolve mutual strife by taking a dip in the sacred waters of the temple tank and swear before the idol of the deity. There have been cases when the sinner accepts his faults immediately after taking the holy dip and even before stepping into the “court of justice” or the inner chambers of the temple. Such is the power of Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka and his glory is worthy of being sung in every corner of the globe.
Another interesting aspect of Kanipakam is the Bahuda River, which flows near the Sri Varsiddhi Vinayaka Temple. Long ago, as a story goes, there were two brothers Sankha and Likhita. One day, they started for a pilgrimage to Kanipakam. Due to the arduous journey, Likhita gave in to hunger. He ignored the advice of his elder sibling and plucked a mango for his meal from the nearby mangrove without the permission of its owner. Duty-bound to tell the truth, Sankha reported the issue to the king of that place and asked for a punishment befitting Likhita’s sin committed during the pilgrimage. The ruler chopped off both the arms of Likhita as a punishment. When the two brothers reached Kanipakam and took a dip in its sacred waters an amazing miracle happened. To the astonishment of two brothers, the chopped arms of Likhita were restored. Soon after this incident, the ruler of that place named the river as Bahuda (“Bahu” means arms and “Da” means giver)

I was introduced to this temple recently via social media and then decided that i want to visit the place.
Drove down from Bangalore. Since it was quite hit, we started by afternoon and reached the temple at around 4:30pm. As oer i ter et, the temple is open full day. However, on reaching the place, I found that that's not the case. There are various sevas that happen, and a limited set of tickets are issued. We just mussed the abhishekam slot as only 30 tkts are issued for it(and wearing dhoti is mandatory). However, I got the tkts for the next seva, which was arathi. Got to sit almost at the front and witnessed the 20 minutes aarti. It was simply serene, calm, and too blissful. I felt such peace and serenity sitting in front of the Lord.
It was a wonderful darshan that i got. i came out as an extremely happy person. 😊 the prasad given was yummy to eat and there are small temples around the main temple.
Note: mobiles not allowed inside the temple. There is a counter you can deposit it at.

The first time i visited Kanipakam sidhi Vinayaka temple. This is a pleasant place where we can see swayambhu Varasidhi Vinayaka idol.
Bus transport is available from Tirupati for every 15-20 mins. We can reach between 1 hr 15 mins to 1 hr 45 mins.
Devasthanam facilitated free toilet and fresh up to devotees. But there is no proper maintenance because of this Toilet looking not good.
3 types of Darshnam are there mainly. Free, Seerga Darshanam ( 100/- ) , Athi Sirga Darshnam ( 150/-) and a few more.
Devasthnam gives accommodation also. Ganesh Sadan, Vinayak sadan are two there. Charging 336/- with incl all taxes plus advance 336/- with incl all taxes per day.
Providing free food to Devotees as same as Tirumala ( Uchitha Anna Dhaanam ) .
There are 2 temples beside this Varasidhi Vinayaka Temple. Manikanteswara swamy Temple(Lord Shiva), Varada Raja swamy Temple ( Lord Venkateswara). Here we can see the beautiful idols of Vinayaka, Kumara swamy, Shiva, Parvathi .
There are many shops available near temple. Mainly the shoes keeper/chappals keeper is charging 7/- per pair. Luggage counter charging 20/- per bag. Coconuts (small size) charging 30/-
A small request to Temple management , please provide sometime while devotees came for swamy (Vinayaka) darashanam. Don't ask them to leave quickly. Especially those who took the athi Seerga Darshanam ticket, Security asked them to move quickly, because of this devotees were unable to see swamy clearly. Because the swamy idol is very far from where devotees stand. Maximum space you're occupied for some other activity( Puja).

Famous and ancient temple located around 12 kilometers from the chittoor town. It is believed that Lord Ganesha's idol here gradually grows in size every year. Don't miss it if you are into temples and stuff.
The place might be crowded during holidays, festivals which will eventually increase the time of Darshan.
Additionally when you visit the temple, you should definitely try Masala Soda and Bhel Masala available within the temple surroundings, They are tasty 🤤😍

Shri Kotilingeshwara Swamy Temple, established in 1980, is a remarkable Hindu complex featuring over 1,000 shiva lingas, with one towering at an impressive height of 33 meters. The temple offers a unique and awe-inspiring ambiance with its extensive collection of shiva lingas.
Very beautiful temple. Well maintained. Only 20/- for entry. You can buy offerings from outside stalls. Please carry lots of change as you need to put dakshina in all of them(you can skip that too). The tallest linga looks very beautiful. You will get tired clicking pictures. Very scenic. A great day outing with family and friends. Roads are good. Try to leave early as it gets very sunny as the day passes. Not many restaurants near the temple but you can find many in the NH75.Definitely recommend.

Good weekend gateway near Bangalore. Paid Parking is available. 20 rs entry fees to get inside the temple. Well maintained place.
But the place is too much commercialized. Priests won't allow you to do Puja or offerings without huge money. Every temple you go inside its all same. Dint like this sort of approach.
Apart from that it's all good here. You can take photos and spend some time.
Restrooms, small eateries, shops selling statues are there.

Amazing temple. With its world's largest shiv ling as also a grand collection of shiv lings gives this place an out of the world ambience. Gets crowded on a Sunday amd the wait time to enter could be 20 miniutes to half and hour. 20/- Rs. entry fee. One goes though a barriced walk to reach the end of the passage which makes you enter 3 small temples before you finally reach the maha shiv ling. On the Sunday we went, the route become very crowded and going through each temple becomes a bit suffocating. No option to avoid the temples unless you jump the barricades. But once you reach the maha shiv ling area, all the efforts feel rewarded.

The place is so pure and pious that you will devotee yourself to the God. The temple is situated in Kolar and I would personally suggest that the best time to visit is early morning. Due to covid, less number of people visit the temple and you get enough time to meditate there.
The temple has one of the largest shivling in Asia ( please check uploaded pictures) along with Nandi🙏. The priests perform Avishek pooja on your behalf and that's one of the best experience you can have.
The entry fee is just Rs 20/- and you are allowed to bring cameras but taking pictures of the gods is not allowed. You can take pictures of the 90 lac shivlings though.

This museum is located right next to Govinda Raja Swamy Temple. Open timings are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The museum is mostly about art and architecture of temples and idols. We often don't realize but everything that is related to constructing a temple has a specific study around it. Site selection, Architecture Style selection, Gopuram selection, Stone selection, Posture selection, Carving, etc. This museum does its best in covering those aspects. There is explanation for each and everything displayed here in both English and Telugu languages. All the above was covered in one of the sections inside the museum. In one of the mandapams, they have the entire story of Srinivasa Kalyanam done via Dolls. It was very good. They call is the Kids Gallery. Both kids and parents will like the artwork. Finally, in the last section, they had details about some of the great Vishnu Devotees and Saints. Also covered in this section were about Music and Dance. There was also one sub-section about a Vishnu Devotee Lifestyle and how they organizes their day. Entry to this informative museum was totally Free.

(Visited in 'Jan 2022) - Sri Venkateswara Museum on Temple Art, Tirupati, located next to Sri Govindarajaswamy Perumal temple is a treasure trove of temple art - a place which I loved and was lost at! In various exhibits related to Sculpture, Aagamana Sastras, Art etc, painstaking and hitherto unknown details were explained brilliantly! Spent at least an hour here. There's no fee charge to visit this. There's a separate temple on the premises dedicated to Nammalzvar. ❤️

Historical details, temple architecture and many other details about Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy are available here. It has a wonderful collection of Old Tirumala Temple - Clear stories of the changing history of Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy. It's free. As usual- due to the carelessness of TTD none of the visitors are aware of this place. It is next to the famous Govindaraj Temple - near the railway station. Do not miss this museum when you visit Tirupati.

The exotic and enchanting architecture of the ISKCON temple of Tirupati is sure to captivate anyone who visits. The temple was just built 10 years ago and its simplistic yet stunning design is a testament to the devotion of the largest followers of Lord Krishna in the world. The interior comprises colorful walls and paintings depicting the glorious legends of Lord Krishna, making it an ideal place to visit for all fans of hindu culture.
Fantastic place to visit with family.
The view of the temple is wonderful and also we want thousands of eyes to see the beauty of statues Of the gods.

The temple is an architectural wonder and one can easily spend 2-3 hrs here admiring the beautiful sculptures and architecture. The main prayer hall has beautiful marble sculptures and is quite serene and peaceful. In the shops within the campus you can buy books, calendar and other religious paraphernalia too.

I visited the temple recently. This temple has baggage and a shoe facility just outside the temple. Some kind of construction is going on during my visit.
The temple is well maintained and can be considered to give a visit. I have visited a number of ISKON temples across the city and can say that this temple is totally commercialized. They have a museum for which you need to pay for it. They have a restaurant inside the ISKON premise again for which you need to pay.
They have multiple shops inside the temple. I don't support commercialization of temples that is why reducing the rating from 4 to 3.

ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) Krishna Temples are located all over the world.🛕🌍🌏🌎🗺️
Although, in almost every important city of India.🇮🇳
there is an ISKCON Temple, ISKCON Temple in Tirupati is especially popular.🛕
Its architecture and location makes it is even more attractive to the devotees.💚😍🤩
I FALL in Love with this Temple.🛕❤️💚
How many distance travelled or how much money u spend for visit this place, each and every rupee is worthy.🛕👍🤩😍🥰
what a temple and what a construction.🤯
when you reach the temple, it's looking like as usual normal temple. But after entering into the main door that is priceless. 😍🤩🥳
what God and Godess. those are really beautifull and colourful.🥰😍
all sides some 3d wooden frame have, what a hand work...😍
The idea for this temple germinated in the year of 1974 – 1975, when his holy Srila Prabhupada visited Tirumala- Tirupati on the request of Andhra Pradesh Government. Impressed with the spiritual atmosphere of the place and after seeing thousands of devotees visiting every day, he saw this Tirupathi as an ideal place to promote the teachings of Bhagwat-Gita and Lord Krishna while in turn creating an environment of amity throughout the world.
It in the year of 1982, this idea started taking a physical form while in 1983; a small Brahmachari ashram was established. Located at the foot of Tirumala Hills, in 1984, a small temple was inaugurated with the installation of the idols of Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha. In 2005, this temple was opened to everyone.

ISKCON Tirupati is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. located in the holy city of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The temple is part of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and serves as a spiritual and cultural centre for devotees and visitors seeking to experience the divine love and teachings of Lord Krishna.
The temple is located on a hill also known as the Hare Krishna Hill and is built in a neo-classical style with typical South Indian temple Gopurams. There are four gopurams inside the temple which are joined by a glass roof that looks amazing. The temple also has a golden lotus called Padmasarovaram, where Goddess Padmavathi manifested herself according to tradition.
The temple offers free entry and has darshan timings from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm daily. The darshan duration is 20 to 30 minutes. The temple also has various sevas and festivals that attract thousands of pilgrims every day. The Brahmotsavam of the Goddess is celebrated at Padmavathi Temple with all pomp and glory to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Her avatara.
I would rate ISKCON Tirupati 4.5 out of 5 stars for its architecture, spirituality, and service. It is a must-visit place for anyone who wants to experience the divine grace of Lord Krishna

This was my second visit to ISKCON temple of Tirupati. It is a peaceful, clean and a serene temple. With well maintained garden around. We offered fruits bhog which costs about Rs.100/- available at the main temple entrance. There were total 5 fruits in the thali. A new temple museum is opened at the ground floor where you exit after darshan. Prasadam is given to all devotees at the exit. Few pics are from the museum as well. Probably they also rent the museum hall for events.

Visiting the ISKCON Temple in Tirupati was a profoundly spiritual and uplifting experience. From the moment I entered the temple premises, a sense of serenity enveloped me, creating a sacred atmosphere that transcended the hustle of daily life. The intricate architecture and the peaceful surroundings offered a tranquil escape.
Partaking in the prasad added a divine touch to the visit. The sanctified offerings bestowed a sense of connection to the spiritual roots of the temple. Each bite of the prasad, coupled with the knowledge of its sacred significance, became a symbolic communion with the divine.
The variety of snacks available, such as samosas, infused the visit with a delightful culinary experience. The flavors were rich and authentic, reflecting the cultural essence of the temple. Additionally, savoring coconut water and sugarcane juice provided a refreshing respite, especially in the temple's serene ambiance.
The temple staff's warmth and hospitality enhanced the overall experience, making me feel not just like a visitor but a welcomed pilgrim. The spiritual vibrations resonated throughout, leaving me with a sense of profound peace and blessings.
In conclusion, my visit to the ISKCON Temple in Tirupati was not merely a sightseeing endeavor but a soul-nourishing journey. The combination of spiritual immersion, delicious prasad, and warm hospitality made it a memorable and blessed experience—one that I will carry with me, feeling enriched and spiritually rejuvenated.

Always super. Only thing is management need to have proper planning. Some times it's taking more than 10hrs to complete Darshan. Meanwhile there will be small kids or old age people who need proper food at proper time. Accordingly some arrangements should be there. Earlier it used to be provided in the waiting halls. Now no one is concerned.

Try to book in advance for darshan as well as journey tickets.
If you have a token, then the average time to get the darshan is around 3-6 hours. And if you are visiting without tokens into free / sarv darshan line then the time for darshan can be around 10 to 24 hours
Food, water, toilets everything is there for free. Don't get trapped for the jeeps and tourist vehicles.
They have free bus service at tirumala. And even for the tourism their charges are minimal.

This shrine holds great significance for Hindus, offering unparalleled peace and joy during Lord Venkateshwara Darshans. Due to its popularity, it can get very crowded, so here are some useful tips for visitors:
1. Ensure to book Darshan tickets in advance through the official website.
2.There are various types of Darshans available, so choose according to your beliefs and budget. Remember, the amount paid is considered a donation utilized by TTD for good causes.
3.Weekdays typically have fewer crowds compared to weekends.
4.You can either walk up to the temple from Allipiri or rear side of the hill called Sri Vari Mettalu (this time it took us 1 hr 20 minutes by walk) or use transportation.
Kindly note: post recent incident, kids below 12 years are not allowed to climb the hill between 2 pm to next day 5 am.
We visit this place approximately once every 3-4 months and always return with renewed enthusiasm. Since decades TTD consistently excels in building, improving, and maintaining this sacred site. We see the changes and better facilities for pilgrims.

Heavy Crowd on weekends. During the day the floor is extremely hot, long wait queues but darshan is just love. If you go there inside the temple in front of Balaji you will get to feel that someone is there.....for all in small seconds you will feel calm and at peace for sure.
Dress code: (for gents) kurta, pyjama or Dhoti with preferred plain shirt or kurta
(For ladies)Saree, churidar, kurta/pyjama
Dress code is strict and do so then you will feel the culture also.

I have visited temple yesterday. Very pleasant and blessed . Less crowded this time , I used to visit Tirumala two months once . Best time to visit during bramosthavalu ( huge crowd will be there ) but we can see so many programs also visit during vaikunta ekadashi so we can get to see venkateswara swamy very near .
Sharing my journey ……!
We came to Tirumala through srivari mettu so we took Divya Darshan token at 50th step . We took room near CRO office and got fresh up and heading towards Darshan , entered around 1:45 to Q line and reached to Vaikuntam complex by 2:45 and waited for almost 5 hours , later they opened gate and Darshan completed within 1 hr , seen Venkateswara swamy for 30 secs , so blessed . We took laddus from laddu counter , 1 laddu free for Divya Darshan token holders , if you need extra laddu it will cost 50 RS per laddu. We heading toward vengamamba anna prasadam centre and ate food there and return back to room and rook rest. Morning return back to home. Can reach Tirumala 4 options by own vehicle or bus , can walk through srivari mettu (very short and token will get near 50th step but we need to reach this by 6AM , can reach to entrance by own vehicle or rented vehicle)or alipiri mettu (best experience you will get but risky also for aged persons and leg pain people , Divya Darshan token we need to get bhudevi complex , so need to Reach that place midnight only , so they will start giving tokens by 5:30 ) , if bus or own vehicle (need to get SSD tokens near bus stand , railway station …etc or else we can book 300 ticket prior month ) . Suggest to not come directly for Darshan , not sure how much time will take to complete . Also take 300 ticket or ssd or Divya Darshan.

I just love the road it’s so beautiful, lush green mountains.
Place is crowded with too many small shops, making it too difficult for walking close to the temple. It took 5hrs for Darshanam for Rs.300 special Darshanam.
Volunteers are too rude inside the temple sanctum, male volunteers should know how to behave with women devotees, they push inappropriately they make it so uncomfortable. I would request the temple authorities to give them proper guidance and introduction on how to handle the crowd specifically with the women devotees.

The Talakona Waterfall is a picturesque attraction that features an observation area at the bottom and a steep climb to the top. It is a great place to visit with family and friends on weekends, with its cold water providing a refreshing respite from the heat. The best time to enjoy the climate is between 11 am and 2 pm, but visitors are advised to bring their own food or eat elsewhere as local canteen workers may not be wearing masks while cooking and serving food.
Nice Place to visit for family and friends in weekends. The water is so cold no freezer gives you that chilled water. Best time to enjoy climate between 11 am to 2 pm .
I would suggest take food from home or outside as local canteen/hotel workers not wearing masks while cooking and serving food to visitors. and important thing Take care when drives by bike at road turns Life is more important then joy and fun. stay safe and Healthy !

It is an amazing place to visit with family & friends. Do visit temple & then go for a small Trek for 1-2 kms & you reach the waterfall.
Be careful when you get in the water as there are stones and rocks & it is very slippery so you may get hurt.
For better experience visit in weekdays as in weekends it's very crowded.
There is no changing rooms in that place. That is major problem for women.

A good place to hangout for a day. One should reach early before 12noon so you will get a good time to spend there, the falls get closed by 4PM. Very slippery rocks and dangerous be very careful while swimming and diving. There is a short Trek of about 1.5km to reach from the parking point.

One of the best Waterfall I have visited. You should trek for around 1 to 2 kms to reach the top. Half of the way is flat and other half of the way is steep and slippery so one should be careful while climbing up. Though We went on weekend there were no crowd.entry fee will be collected . Parking facility is available. You will not be having any food options in the top of the waterfall but food are available in the down where you will be parking your vehicle

Best place to visit who liked the natural and waterfalls, it's a devotion attraction too. It's open in the morning at 8:00 AM clock to 4:00PM, the ticket price is 30 for a person. From the Entrances you can drive your own vehicle at a certain distance, from there you can walk a certain distance to see the beauty of the waterfall. You have safari at a certain distance for needed ones. Please carry water bottles and food, you don't find any shop after entrance.
There are 3-4 hotel stays are available near the waterfalls entrance cheap and best, there prepare you food what you needed. Cellphone signal are very low.
Note:- natural give beautiful sites to watch and enjoy, so, please keep it clean and unpolluted for the next generation....

Waterfalls are spectacular and the surrounding location is a absolute visual treat. We need to walk 500m to reach the waterfalls area from the car/bike point. There is no fence through the path at some places, we should be vigilant especially when going with kids. Water was very clean and cold, we visited in January.

What a god amazing place this is, Forget going anywhere outside India
Such a beautiful creation of mother nature over thousands of years of time frozen in this hidden little gem. I swam here for hours together.
No crowd what so ever when we went there, the sun was warm and nice. The water was cold and refreshing for a nice swim. Do not miss this of you are on Andra Pradesh. Worth spending the whole day here with your family or friends - Stay Clean and Safe
But please don't dirty the place and throw garbage everywhere.....Mother earth won't forgive you for this.

The waterfall was a hidden gem, nestled amidst the lush greenery of the forest. The journey to the falls was an adventure in itself, with a 20-minute walk through the woods. The anticipation of what lay ahead made the walk all the more exciting.
The falls were divided into two parts, each with its own unique charm. The first part was a sight to behold, with water cascading down the rocks in a mesmerizing display. But the real magic lay in the second part, where the falls were bigger and more majestic. To get there, we had to trek for another 15 minutes. But the effort was worth it, as the view was simply breathtaking.
However, the parking situation was a bit of a hassle. The area was teeming with mischievous monkeys who were more than happy to check out our bikes and make them dirty. So, beware of these little rascals!
Also, keep in mind that the falls are open only until 4 pm. So, plan your visit accordingly.
Overall, the waterfall was a delightful experience that left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in nature’s beauty

I visited here on 2024 Pongal holiday solo on bike from Chennai. The travel itself was challenging almost 4+ hours of travel along with the early morning mist making it an impossible ride. I planned to be there before 8:30am their opening time but then I reached around 9-9:30am. You'd be charged 10₹ for parking 🅿️ and another 30₹ per head for entry. They have a large open space beneath the falls where vehicles are parked. For bikes, monkeys are the most annoying thing you'll regret on for travelling on a bike there as they'd check your bike for food and and making it clumsy. My tank cover was torn when I came 🔙.
As I was early I came across only a fewer crowd till 10 or 11am but after that they place was filled with people. If you're looking for peace and alone spot come very very early for privacy. Most exciting spot to chill and have fun beneath the falls if you visit with larger crowds. Look out for kids safety by yourself as there is no incharge of sort overseeing the crowd. It is better stay at the bottom foot pond like structure beneath the waterfall that one would see after parking their vehicle if you have more elderly persons and kids with you.
3rd spot on top is too slippery and the fencing there is irregular and not well maintained, so go there at your own risk. People even go above that to reach the top of the falls but it is not recommendable as there is no proper visible path and being dense forest area one might even lose time finding the way without any locals.
Early in the morning 🌅 the water was so chill and breath taking to bathe in.
Must visit spot in AP if you're around thirupati, plan accordingly so that you can have a visit when you plan for thirupati.

Talakona Waterfalls is one of the beautiful waterfalls in India and also it is a famous tourist spot in Andhra Pradesh which is located at Chittor district and it is also near to the famous devotional pilgrim Tirumala.
The beauty of waterfalls is awesome and the glow of water is continuous around all the seasons and more in rainy and winter seasons.
The hill station and the waterfall environment makes you feel surprised and amazing.
The roadway where we pass through the dense forests is very pleasant and makes you feel that you are in Amazon forests.
The greenery and the tall trees and their medicinal values make you feel pleasant and peaceful.
There is a distance of nearly 2 to 3 kilometres we will walk in the deep forest where we can hear pleasant birds sounds and some rare birds also we can see.
One of the best tourist spots and waterfalls in Andhra Pradesh.

It is a must visit experience and the intricacies of stone carvings can be mesmerising. If you plan a visit ensure to spend atleast 2-3 hours so that you can absorb the details. The place has ample parking and is family friendly. I have fond memories of visiting the place 10 years ago. Some of the places need immediate attention and renovation. Bhoganandeshwara Temple
Nandigrama, nestled at the foothills of Nandi on the outskirts of Bengaluru houses a majestic 9th-century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva called as the Boganandeshwara Devasthana. The sprawling complex boasts intricately carved pillared mantapas inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the grandeur of Dravidian architecture. This temple is a testament to the artistic finesse believed to be built during Rastrakuta dynasty rule. Among its treasures a serene stepwell known as Pushkarni/Kakyani offers a tranquil retreat, while a dedicated area for weddings adds a touch of privacy and sacredness to matrimonial celebrations. Exploring the temple grounds is akin to embarking on a journey through time, where each stone whispers tales of devotion and craftsmanship from centuries past.
Full day Itinerary from Bengaluru - Starting the day with a scenic drive to breathtaking Nandi Hills, visit Yoganandeshwara temple on the Hill top and Bhoganandeshwara temple at the foothills. Head to a nearby Vineyard and visit a flower orchard. Finally end your day with a delicious meal at a local restaurant from the surrounding area.
Other places to include in this visit can be Rangasthala temple, Muddenahalli (birth place of Sir.M. Vishweshvariah) museum, Isha - Sadhguru Sannidhi.

Amazing place to visit. You can see three dynasties of architecture. There is so much to see, including signs of how it became a place to stay. It’s a good sized complex with more than one dancing area, although some of the floor stones had been removed from the older part. Do look up to see the frescoes dating from the 16th century, and don’t miss the 16th century parade cart outside, carved to look like the temple itself. This place is well worth a trip.

The Lepakshi Nandi temple features a striking granite sculpture of Nandi, the sacred bull of Lord Shiva. It's located two hours from Bangalore and is best visited during the day due to safety concerns at night. The road leading to the temple is well-maintained and free of potholes. Visitors can explore the open park-like setting beyond 6pm but should refrain from climbing on the statue.
Simply awesome...one of the largest monolithic , single stone Nandi in india....this is about 400m from the Lepakshi veerabhadra temple ...it supposedly looks straight at the 7 hooded serpent in the temple who guards the shiv ling...a must visit place just for the magnanimity of the architecture

This is a good place to visit, especially for those from Bangalore since it is hardly 2 hour journey (including traffic/rainy weather). Best way to plan is for a morning to afternoon visit and return before it gets dark. The route is not safe during nights especially when we want to drive a car at high speeds. The roads are well maintained though and we saw almost no potholes along the lepakshi road from the big arc. This bull statue is open beyond 6pm as it is an open place. It feels more like a park and many people were trying to climb it.

The temple is very beautiful. The temple is around 500 years old and is a pure ancient architectural beauty. The place is just 2 hours drive away from Bangalore. We can very well make a one day plan to this place and return by afternoon if we start by morning 8. There is a garuda statue at the entrance. But were not allowed nearby for reasons unknown even after paying them to see the place. The parking and restrooms are pricey. 10 Rs. Just to enter the toilet irrespective of what you do inside. There is enough parking space. Would have been better if the management improve the temple instead of being money minded.

The Lepakshi Nandi, a monolithic bull statue, stands as an iconic symbol of artistic finesse and cultural significance in India. Carved from a single granite rock, it resides in the town of Lepakshi in Andhra Pradesh. This massive sculpture measures about 4.5 meters in height and 8.23 meters in length, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and detailing.
Believed to represent the vehicle (vahana) of Lord Shiva, the Nandi statue is adorned with intricate carvings, displaying various mythological motifs and ornate designs. Its posture exudes a sense of grandeur and devotion, capturing the essence of Hindu mythology.
Legend has it that the statue was constructed during the Vijayanagara Empire's reign in the 16th century. Apart from its religious significance, the Lepakshi Nandi serves as a testament to the architectural brilliance of that era.
Pilgrims, history enthusiasts, and art connoisseurs flock to witness this marvel, appreciating not just its size but also the cultural heritage it embodies. The Lepakshi Nandi remains a revered and awe-inspiring testament to India's rich artistic and religious legacy.

This is well worth a trip. The temple itself is beautiful and well cared for, but there are also plenty of souvenir stalls outside. Don’t miss the biggest Nandi (bull) on the way in and the new bird perched on the hilltop. The story behind the temple is fascinating and you can see the footprint left by the goddess - or made by something else… it is beautiful and you could happily spend a couple of hours in the area.

Majestic !!
One of the biggest nadi statute and this one is quite different one, as we can see face is slightly upwards due to a sense of Maga Shiva linga in front of it.
This is located right next to main road which is goes towards lepakshi town/village and around 300-400 away from the main temple.
Basic amenities are present inside premises like drinking water , restrooms and small green garden and amole seating benches.
People can sit here and enjoy viewing the statue after coming from temple and near by jatayu park.

At a distance of 500 m from Lepakshi Bus Stand and 500 m from Sri Veerabhadra Temple (Lepakshi Temple), Lepakshi Nandi (Bull) is one of the main attractions in Lepakshi and a well-known landmark for the tourism of Lepakshi. It was built during Vijayanagara period when the main Veerabhadra Temple was built.
The Lepakshi Nandi is made out of single granite. The monolithic Nandi sculpture is said to be the second largest monolithic structure in India after Gomateshwara in Shravanabelagola. It is 20 feet in height and 30 feet in length. The Nandi statue is decorated with a necklace, muvvalahara, a bell chain with small horns.
It is noticeable that the head of the bull is held aloft at a higher angle than usual. In addition, the expression of submission, which is typical of Nandi before Shiva, is not seen in the statue here.
This big granite bull is situated on the main road beside AP Tourism Haritha resort. It has been positioned such that it faces the 18 ft Nagalinga in Veerabhadra Temple Complex.

Beautiful place. One must visit if you are interested in ancient architectures and sculptures. You'll find good / decent restaurants on highway. But there aren't any good restaurants off the highway. At least I didn't find any.

This old temple is inside a village and a divine representation of Indian culture, religious values and mythological history. A beautiful place to spend a couple of hrs. The stone carved structures and pillars are admirable. The only point of resentment is the paintings on ceilings are being worn out by time which should be preserved and restored. The govt should maintain the temple and cleanliness. It's not that we get to see such valuable pieces of our history often.

Neatly maintained Nandi temple next to the road. A parking facility is available right in front but the reason for existence is not known. Monolithic structure and amazing planning the detail is so clean. Salute the sculptor who enabled carving this out.

Nandi statue It is one of the largest single stone Nandi figure in India and it is said to be that it is largest of its kind in India. It is just 0.5kms from Lepakshi main shrine. Perfect spot for one day trip for Bangaloreans. Summer time is not recommended since it will be too humid.

This is easily visible before you visit the main temple..either you can visit before the temple visit or post temple visits.. parking is mostly on the side of the roads.

Located about 2-3 hours drive from Bengaluru this temple is a beautiful place to visit .
This temple is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra and temple architecture style is of Vijayanagara era temples. This temple has many sculptures and fresco's . Main attraction in this temple is the hanging pillar and Shiv Linga on a serpent.
Few cars can be parked near entrance of this temple and parking charge are RS 50 per car. During afternoon it will be difficult to walk in this temple as it gets very hot . Found only a hotel and restaurant of Andhra Pradesh government where families can go for food and stay. It may be difficult to reach this temple using public transport so it will be better to take a taxi to reach this temple. Non Hindus are allowed inside this temple.

Nice calm place where you can relax your mind. Even you are not a follower of Baba, you will feel good about him and his works after you visit this place. He had done a lot of good works to the people in Andra Pradesh. Probably this is the most peaceful place I have visited in Andra Pradesh.
Foods and accommodations are really cheap inside. Devotees and the working staff are really friendly. Not recommended for a quick visit. Better stay for few days and relax your mind.
Negative: Most of the washrooms were not properly maintained. Some says they were better when Baba was there.

If one is travelling from Banglore towards Hydrabad after almost 100 kms towards Hydrabad, the signage takes one to this magnificent temple & Samadi Palace of SatSaiBaba Ji. After covering 45 kms of neatly mettled road one reaches SatSai District as it’s called. With multi floral natural decoration on both sides of the road it’s a very serene & peaceful temple Ashrama. For rupees 15 & rupees two one can have a full meal with tea. The temple has a huge number of volunteers to guide the new entrants. One can also book a stay within the temple premises. During noon the main shrine remains closed and only opens in afternoon. So one needs to plan accordingly. If one is later headed to Hydrabad there is an alternate shorter route via Anantpur.

Belum Caves, located on the Indian subcontinent, offers a remarkable experience with its vast underground cave system adorned with geological formations and artificial lighting. The site boasts the largest and longest cave system open to the public in India, featuring long passages, galleries and spacious caverns that occasionally contain fresh water. Visitors are advised to bring a torch or headlamp for better visibility as sticky mud may cause footwear loss. Additionally, one should carry water bottles due to stuffiness inside causing excessive sweating.
A very well maintained cave. It has sufficient lighting and oxygen inside and has directions that are clear so that one doesn't get lost inside the cave. Has ventilation ducts at few places to keep the air circulation at a good pace. The place is very neatly maintained and no plastic waste was found inside the cave. The formation of the rocks and everything looks so good and interesting if one is willing to explore and learn more about it. A good place to play scary house with your friends of course :) Important to take water bottles before going in as one would sweat a lot and feel thirsty in their journey. All in all a good place to visit to spend some quality time.

People who love adventures and rock formations, would certainly love to go to this place. Such a natural beauty. The cave is so deep, wide and long. It absolutely amazes you at every part with its deep trenches. There are places within the cave which are so narrow and the rocks are porous as the water keeps dripping through these rocks.
Please make sure to have nice footwear (sandals or gum boots) as you have grip and not hurt your feet. The whole tour would approx take 2 hours. You'll drain all your energy by the time you are back as the terrain is tough, long and, very suffocating. You end up profusely sweating. Carry some energy drinks and food to keep yourself hydrated and keep your energy levels high.
The sad part is about the maintenance by the governments. Though we have blowers and lights inside the cave, most of them are out of order and not functional which makes the journey tiring.

there is a very small waterfall present in the cave. Must visit

Superb experience. The Buddha statue outside the cave is really calming. The walk inside is out of the world. Really scary in few places. Be careful with your footwear as few places the mud is really sticky and many have lost their footwear. Carry a torch or headlamp for better visibility. There are lights inside. Carry a water bottle as it gets stuffy inside and you sweat a lot.

Ancient and undiscovered place. Very magical feeling once you go more and more inside. The air vents were not working at some places. Wearing shoes is advised as the pavement is uneven. Take your own water bottle and don't leave empty bottles. Basic Telugu if you can read it'll be helpful although all the exit are written in English. l

Underground caves miles and miles long !
Amazing shapes and structures formed naturally over thousands of years by erosion, deposition, transfer of minerals by water, etc.
A must-visit place for many reasons, but one is rarity.
To make the best of your visit, be sure to take a very powerful torch because your phone LEDs are insufficient to see the details.
And wear well fitting shoes, because slippers/sandals are very dangerous for the terrain.
Carefully note or photograph every junction you pass, most have no English signs, and you can't phone for help as there is insufficient signal underground.
Not an enjoyable or safe place for naughty children or aged people though.

We traveled to Belum caves on a Saturday afternoon. The place does get a lot of tourists as it was quite busy Saturday.
The ticket is priced at ₹70 adults and ₹50 kids. They were surprisingly only accepting cash payment which is quite inconvenient, they should start card payments/UPI.
The caves are well maintained, have good air ventilation, well placed signs to follow. I wish the AP government authorities would keep dustbins inside the caves as people do carry water bottles and tend to throw them randomly. Do carry water bottles if possible it can can get quite humid and sweaty inside.
Belum caves are 3229m long and are the second largest natural caves in Indian subcontinent. Definitely recommend visiting it.
Improvement-
* Even though it’s mentioned Staircase is damaged people were still climbing on it. Please do fix the staircase as it’s not safe.
*Washrooms are are in a pitiable state! Requesting the authorities to take action and upgrade the facilities.
*Beautification of the overall place can be done too.
*Besides the caves the place was looking quite dull and make it more scenic with plants and good facilities.
* need good restaurants facilities also

Plus points : A magnificent creation of Nature worth visiting . The stalactites , stalagmites, courses and caverns were created over a period of millions of years , by an ancient flow of water through limestone and quartz . This is the second largest subterranean cave system in India .
Depth goes from 80ft to 120 ft . Air vents are provided at regular intervals . Photography is allowed .
Minus points : Being a Protected Monument under care of the State Government , more thought and sensitivity should have gone into its maintenance .
The garish colored lights are an eyesore marring the natural beauty of the rocks . The spiral stairway to get to the low point is shaky . Names of caves and Exit signs are painted directly on cave walls instead of on boards .
Fact file :
Entrance ticket : Rs70 per adult . Carpark :Rs20
Guides ( Telugu,Hindi,English) available .
Kids playground , basic toilets, a snack kiosk in premises .
Recommended : Carry water . As it gets very humid and sweaty inside, carry a hand towel too. Good walking shoes , to walk on uneven surfaces . Visit during cooler hours of the day and in dry , non-rainy season .
Reportedly, crowded on weekends .
Please do not break off stone bits to carry as souvenir . Please do not scribble/ scratch your initials on those ancient rocks . Please don’t litter . It was painful to see some tourists doing such things , during my visit.
Lets learn to respect shared heritages .

An amazing cave experience. Recommend every visitor traveling to city of Kurnool or Nandyal in State of Andhra Pradesh to take some time out and visit Belum Caves.
An advisory would be to carry Torch-light as there are zones which are very dim lit corners. A to Gaurav Buddhas statue adorns at entrance. The Caves are very well planned and our appreciation to the Team behind the concept and execution too.
The overall maintenance of Caves leaves a lot to be desired. A few zones had no AC and the places were hot and perspiring too. There were broken equipments like AC parts and broken light consoles that were lying in open and had not been moved out.

It was different experience to be in underground caves. Rock formations inside caves are really beautiful. Main drawback was feeling too much hot inside the caves due to more crowd. It takes 4 hrs for up and down to the cave . Boat travel is about 1 -130 hrs .Won’t suggest for very senior people and people have knee problem . There is deep steep stairs for boarding the boat and also to wards the cave.
Inside the cave it’s stuffy and dust hence suggest nose cover or mask will be good . The cave is very dark and you may have to use mobile torch inside .
Suggest you to carry water bottle and if need be some snacks as you don’t get any thing on the way or at the cave . They charge you 650/- per person and only one trip a day starts at 10 am . The apsrtc booking office opens by 9am .

Though many people posted reviews here but this is not the right location for the place.
It is in between river and mountain range and the only way to reach there is by ferry (boat).
I have posted a detailed review of Akkamahadevi on the original tagged location named "Akkamahadevi Caves and Swayambhu Shivlinga" please read that.

These caves are named after Akka Mahadevi who was a saint and great devotee of Lord Shiva in 12th century as she used to penance about lord Shiva at in these caves. One can visit this place by travelling about one and half hour through a steamer from Patalaganga of Srisailam. Suggest you to wear a mask while entering the caves in case if you have dust allergies. Upto certain extent a group of people can go together. After that one after the other can go and have Darshan of Lord Shiva inside the too narrow caves. At the entrance of these caves one can find a massive naturally formed rock slab without any supports in between.

The Elephant Stables were constructed in the Indo-Islamic architectural style and served as a shelter for royal elephants during the Vijayanagara Empire. Located within the Lotus temple complex, this magnificent structure showcases exquisite craftsmanship and thoughtful design elements including a stunning sunset view. Visitors can witness its historical significance and enjoy watching the sunset from this grand structure.
Olden day elephant parking structure 😅 (just kidding). This place is located inside the "Lotus temple", so follow the directions to reach here.
Huge stable for elephants made with pure architectural intelligence, even they thought of giving the elephant a beautiful sunset view. One will definitely want to look into past to see this wonderful view.

There's 11 Elephant's stables. All of them are interconnected with each other. There is entry fee of Rs.40 per Indian adult. Inside this complex there are plenty of historical monuments.
The whole building looks symmetric with respect to this central hall. The tower of the central hall resembles (though mostly destroyed) more like that of temples. However the five pairs of domes on either side are of Islamic in style. They are better preserved and of alternating patterns. Metal hooks (used to tie the elephants) on the inside roof can be seen. At the rear of each hall are small manhole type openings for the mahouts to enter the elephant compartments. It's one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site
A big Lawn Area to sit and relax, fresh air it was awesome experience.. Try to visit in the morning or evening.

The Elephant Stables in Hampi are a mesmerizing testament to the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire. This historical site left me awe-struck, offering a glimpse into the opulence and sophistication of a bygone era.
The Elephant Stables are an architectural marvel that seamlessly blends functionality with aesthetic beauty. The eleven domed chambers, each intricately adorned with carvings and ornamentation, reflect the meticulous craftsmanship of the Vijayanagara artisans. The sheer scale of the structure is imposing, and it's impossible not to be impressed by the regal aura it exudes.
As you wander through the chambers, you can almost hear the echoes of history. These stables were once the royal quarters for the majestic elephants of the Vijayanagara kings. The symbolism and significance attached to these structures offer a glimpse into the cultural and historical richness of Hampi.
For photography enthusiasts, the Elephant Stables are a treasure trove. The play of sunlight on the weathered stone, the interplay of shadows within the domed chambers, and the juxtaposition of nature against the ancient architecture create a visual spectacle. It's a place where every angle tells a story.
Kudos to the authorities for the commendable preservation efforts. The site is well-maintained, and informative signboards provide historical context. The guided tours available are insightful, offering a deeper understanding of the significance of the Elephant Stables in the context of Vijayanagara history.
Despite being a popular tourist spot, the Elephant Stables exude a sense of tranquility. The vast open space around the structure allows visitors to explore at their own pace, appreciating the details of the carvings and absorbing the historical ambiance without feeling crowded.
Walking through the Elephant Stables felt like stepping into a time capsule. The architectural finesse, coupled with the historical context, provides a unique cultural insight into the lifestyle and grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire.

One among the few least destroyed structures in Hampi, Elephant Stable is a major tourist attraction. This long building with a row of domed chambers was used to ‘park’ the royal elephants. There are 11 domed tall chambers; some of them are inter- connected. The center one is specially decorated and big. Probably the musicians and the associated band troupes had been using this during ceremonies involving elephant processions.

Each stable is tall and huge which can comfortably accommodate a fully grown elephant.
Very old construction, well maintained.
Outside the stables it’s an open ground, which is full of green grass. It will hardly take 10-15 minutes to visit this place completely. If you wanna spend more time you can go for a stroll in the open ground which is surrounded by big trees.

The home of Royal Elephants, the Elephant Stable is a conjunction of grand structures meant as a resting ground for elephants whose job was perhaps to protect the queens and her entourage from any kind of enemy attacks. There is a guard's quarters as well nearby which indicates the purpose and positioning. It is part of Zenana Enclosure. Today one can see the remanants from the glorious days of Queen's palace and even now the Lotus Mahal is very much in shape.

Great Ruins of a temple known for creative architecture from past generation.
They have parking available and buggy service available too, buggy is 20rs per head for two way and it will take you near to the main temple. It is fair way for the price.
Entrance ticket is 40rs which can be used for lotus mahal as well. We have purchased our ticked at lotus mahal which have been used for entrance here.
Main attraction was the stone chariot & musical pillars.
The ruins are beautiful architectures , few spots definitely needs restoration in order to save our ancient history.
The musical pillars are currently in renovation which is why entry is not permitted inside but can be seen from out.
Guides are available on site who can guide you with the history.
Definitely a place to visit.

Representing the essence of India's tourism, this place stands as one of the finest. Its beauty captivated us. The entrance fee was a mere 35, applicable to various locations, and there were no additional charges for photography.
For a nominal fee of Rs 20, a battery-operated car efficiently transported us from the parking area to the main entrance. Notably, the legendary story of Ramayana unfolds on the walls of this monument, adding a rich cultural dimension.
For those with children, hiring a guide at Rs 2500 for the day is advisable. The guide provides detailed insights, allowing kids to enjoy the stories associated with the monument.
The iconic Stone Chariot, featured on the Rs 50 note, is a central highlight that shouldn't be missed.

We ought to express our gratitude to the brilliant architects and civil engineers of ancient times. This place is a UNESCO-designated masterpiece of destructive beauty. The intricately carved stone sculptures showcase astonishingly minute details, offering a visual feast to all who behold them. The technological marvels, such as the musical pillars and the ingenious provision of natural light, left me utterly clueless about the ideologies behind their creation.

We visited the temple on a public holiday and emhence it was super crowded.
There is INR20 cab ride from start point to main temple area. If the weather is good and you can walk, I would advise to do so. Because there are a lot of small ruins in between which you would miss when travelling through buggy. It is sad the buggy do not stop in between to show other amazing stops. It is absolutely worth visiting this place to witness the past.

Beautiful monument and temple. Booking tickets online will save you money and time. Try to make it to the temple early in the morning especially during summer months, not a lot of shade and it gets very hot from noon till 5 pm. There is a 1 km walk from parking, or a shuttle. The shuttle is not sufficient for the crowd, so might end up waiting up to an hour depending on the crowd, one shuttle transports 9 people and they have 3 shuttles running. If you decide to walk, there’s no wait, but not a lot of shade on the path. Would recommend hiring a guide if you are interested in learning the stories carved on the walls and pillars.

Once you reach the actual temple a nominal fee of Rs 40 is charged per head.
It is worth taking a guide if you are really interested about the glorious history of the place. You find certified guides around the temple. They charge around 500rs to show the temple around. But knowing the history really adds value to our visit, which otherwise would end up just as a selfie destination.

Hampi is a place which has a lot of monuments spread across an area of more than few square kilometres.
You will always find a board in all the monuments which states where you are along with a list of more than 60 places to see or visit.
Refer to the pics posted in this review and you can see a lot of the items.
You need to understand that touring hampi is not a days job. It will take 3 days to see all the spectacular sites. It hurts to see so much destruction done by humans in the past. Imagine these over 650 yrs old and still standing. The natural damage is way less than damages done by humans.
Every where you go there will be a cluster of things to see and you can see them one by one.
All maybe listed as different places in maps but you have to understand that they are different architectural marvels but located within the vicinity of a major grand structure.
It’s always good to explore self rather than blindly believing the reviews posted by amateur like us.

It is a majestic embodiment of architectural splendor and spiritual significance. As one of the oldest functioning temples in India, it seamlessly intertwines history, mythology, and devotion, making it a paramount pilgrimage site.
Approaching the temple, the towering gopuram (entrance tower) beckons with intricate carvings narrating mythological tales. The temple's courtyard, adorned with pillared halls and sacred shrines, creates a serene atmosphere, inviting visitors to partake in the divine aura.
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Virupaksha Temple has a compelling sanctity. The inner sanctum houses the main deity, with rituals and ceremonies conducted with unwavering tradition. The temple's architecture showcases the Vijayanagara style, characterized by detailed carvings and towering structures.
The Virupaksha Temple seamlessly integrates into the vibrant landscape of Hampi, with the Tungabhadra River flowing nearby and the Virupaksha Bazaar bustling with activity. Pilgrims and tourists alike find solace in the spiritual vibrations while appreciating the artistic marvels that adorn the temple complex.
Beyond its religious significance, the temple serves as a living heritage site, preserving the cultural legacy of the Vijayanagara Empire. Exploring the Virupaksha Temple is not just a visit; it's a profound journey through time, spirituality, and the enduring grandeur of Indian architecture.

Must visit place. The architecture and the sculptures are out of this world. It transports you to the past instantaneously. Dont miss out the 1000 year old pin hole camera made by the ancient people using dark chambers and a hole in the stone wall.

Temple with vibes. Hampi’s main temple. Best time to visit is early morning or evening time you can enjoy. Noon it will be too hot. Hire a guide to explore each and every sculpture of this temple. Parking is available around 500m away. You can click pictures and videos . You can also visit River to enjoy.

What a surreal and do one experience visiting this iconic temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
I visited Hampi for 2 nights during my recent solo motorcycle ride to Karnataka and this was one of the most unforgettable highlights of the ride.
I visited this temple very early morning at 6 am while it was still dark and the temple looked absolutely gorgeous shining and shimmering.
I had an absolutely fantastic Darshan of the Garbha Griha and was also fortunate to watch the Mandir Elephant going back to her shed.
I spent almost an hour inside the temple admiring the beautiful architecture of this temple.
Words aren't enough to describe my experience I had here but I still tried.
This just can't be missed.

This place is truly special. The serenity here is unmatched. Nearby, the Kadalekalu Ganesha temple is a mesmerizing sight. Its sheer size and grandeur leave you feeling awestruck.
During our visit, we went to Virupaksha near sunset, and the experience was magical. The place was bathed in golden light, creating a beautiful ambiance. Make sure not to miss Lakshmi, the elephant, inside the Virupaksha temple. She graciously accepts offerings and blesses you, adding a spiritual touch to your visit.
Be aware that you might encounter monkeys, and they can be quite playful, sometimes attempting to snatch your offerings.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort Pampadevi, this is the only temple here that is still used for worship. Parts of the temple pre-date the Vijayanagara empire. The temple, with its nine storied gopuram, towers above the other structures at Hampi. The ceiling of the Ranga Mantapa is beautifully painted with scenes from the epics and Puranas.
This temple dates back to 8-9th century, it is an Badami Chalukyan Architecture, a Bruhath Nandi is opposite to main shrine( Shiva in form as Virupaksha ). Temple is divided into outer block, middle block and main block. Middle Block surrounds the Main Block with the shrine inside. Just opposite to the temple, river Malaprabha flows perpendicularly. In the ceiling of outer block of the temple is a beautiful carving, and Jaya Vijaya Dwarapalakas at the entrance.

Only this temple Pooja is going on in Pattadakallu..
A very old chalukya dynasty carved temples in the area along with the many carved temple surroundings..
Good maintenance by the archeological department.. A place where different Sir Krishna's life is carved inside the pillars of the temple.. Nandi in front of the temple adds more attraction..
I always thinking what it would be if nothing is attached by others.. Now it only looks wonderful, how it would be looks when it build?
Look at the 16sec video how natural it looks..🙌
And 8sec video is Thayi Sri Chamundeshwari 🙏🙏
Enough parking and available of toilets .. Tickets are there to enter, around ₹50/person I think forgotten.. Had some snacks outside local vendors are there..

The temple was built by Queen Loka Mahadevi, wife of King Vikramaditya II after the successful military campaigns in Kancheepuram.
The temple has a vast quadrangle surrounded by small cells or shrines. It has a massive gateway and a small gate behind.
At the entrance is a Nandimantapa supported by large pillars.
The great hall of the temple has a roof that rests on 16 massive square columns arranged in 4 rows. These columns have excellently wrought episodes from the Puranas.

Pattadakal literally means 'coronation stone' and bears testimony to the later phase of evolution of the distinctive Early Chalukyan architecture. The gestation phase of this development which took place in Aihole, Badami (the ancient capital), Alampur, and Mahakuta finds its culmination here. It is in the last few decades, during the successive reigns of Vijayaditya (696-733 CE), Vikramaditya II (733-746 CE) and Kirtivarman II (746-753 CE), that several temples were gradually constructed in this fertile valley. A Jain shrine was constructed much later, after the collapse of the empire by their successor Rashtrakuta Dynasty (8th-10th centuries CE) in the 9th century CE.
The basic plan of a temple runs thus: the garbha griha (sanctum sanctorum) opens to an antarala (vestibule) and houses the murti (enshrined image) on a pitha (pedestal). An expansive pillared mandapa (hall) adjoins the antarala. A shikhara (superstructure) rises on top of the garbha griha and contains an amalaka (a ribbed stone) with a kalash (pot with mango leaves and a coconut) at its finial. The vimana then comprises both the garbha griha and shikhara.
Temples built here are all dedicated to Shiva and face east. However, depiction of religious motifs through free-standing sculptures and reliefs is not limited to Shaivism but recruits images generously from the Hindu pantheon. Other than the nine Shaiva temples in the compound, there is one Jain temple located almost a kilometre to the west dedicated to the 23rd Tirthankar, Parsvanatha.
The epigraphy reveals this to have been built by Queen Loka Mahadevi (originally named as Lokeswara) after the successful military campaigns of King Vikramaditya II against the Pallavas (4th-9th centuries CE). In ground plan it resembles the Kailasnatha temple of Kanchipuram, citadel of the Pallavas, but in stone it is a realisation of the fully mature Early Chalukyan architecture in all its glory.
A square garbha griha, with an ambulatory path surrounding it, is connected to the antarala. Two small shrines are laterally placed to the antarala, one for Ganesha and the other for Mahisasurmardini. Three porches from the east, north and south open up to an expansive mandapa. Further east, a separate Nandi mandapa is placed on a plinth. The whole temple is surrounded by prakara (enclosure) walls that are provided with subsidiary shrines on its inner side. Only a handful of these remain out of the original 32. The magnificently built Dravida shikhara with a well-preserved sukanasa ('nose,' arched projection) on the front is one of the hallmarks of the temple. The superstructure is three-storied and topped by a four-sided amalaka with a kalash at its finial.
The temple walls are divided into projections and recesses. Sculptures of Harihara, Narasimha, Bhairava, Lakulisha adorn the Devakoshthas (niches) on sanctum walls. Recesses have filigree windows. The temple interior is covered with friezes depicting stories of the abduction of Sita, Bhishma lying on a bed of arrows and Krishna lifting the Govardhan Mountain among other narratives from ancient texts. Many inscriptions have been found engraved in different parts of the temple, some of which also name the architect(s) involved in building the structure.

Beautiful and well maintained UNESCO world heritage site. Sprawling and curated lawns enhance and add to the beauty and grandeur of the site. Although Nagara style architecture captures one' s attention other temples in the complex are gems in their own realm. Wide pathways and alleyways along with proper description on pedestals of each of the temples in the complex add to interactive involvement. Ample security is provided so as to prevent damage to the pristine structures and artefacts. Well maintained toilets at the ticketing counter with running water and ample car parking space sure provides comfort. Tickets can be purchased at the counter or by scanning the QR code displayed there. The museum is not too far from the temple complex and is worth the visit.

A dream-come-true experience I can say. For the past 20 years I have been thinking of visiting this architectural marvel of India but for one reason or another I could not be able to make it. But better late than never. Once I got the chance i just gone there since I was so eagerly waiting for such moment. Some 21 kms from Badami, a small city in North Karnataka, and some 126 km from Hubli, Pattadakal is truly a legend in itself, and that's why I guess UNESCO has tagged it as World Heritage site. Going there is quite easy as there are buses plying from Badami to Pattadakal quite frequently, which takes an hour or less only. Bus will charge you 30 Rs from Badami to Pattadakal. There is a direct train from Bangalore to Badami takes some 12 hours. Entry fee to the site is INR 40 for Indians and INR 600 for foreigners. The fee for everything is clearly displayed at the ticket counter. Temple campus is very massive and the entire premises is well-maintained. The temples architecture is just amazing. Dedicated to different forms of Lord Shiva, all the temples are having Shivalinga installed inside the chamber. Beautifully carved-images on the pillars are really something that will hold your attention for long time. You need to spend time for long there to feel the magic. You will get immersed in the artistic marvel created 1000s of years ago by the great king Chol named Vikramaditya. For those who are creative writers or artists, it's really a great place to be. Don't read much but find opportunity to visit there. Summer is very harsh there so winter would be very ideal.

The Bhootnath temple on Agastya lake is situated near the Badami cave temples ( opposite ) . Magnificent sight and one can spend long hours during late evening / sunset hours for superb pictures . The stone temples get their own multitude of hues in the golden hour . Absolutely enjoyed the day experience
The only grouse is that google maps points you to take a very very narrow road where cars can barely enter, through slum areas where people / animals still live - this infrastructure needs to be improved / alternative road to be developed OR vehicles should be banned with maybe carts / auto allowed only .

The Agastya Lake is a holy lake bounded to the south by the Badami Cave Temples and to the north by the Badami Fort. Legend has it that the lake is water brought by Garuda from the water pleasure tank of God in Vaikunta, the celestial abode of Vishnu.
From afar, the late looks very picturesque. Up close, you can see the locals using it as a place to wash their clothes. The water does not look clean, though that doesn’t seem to stop the locals from taking a swim. Located on the eastern shores of the lake is the Bhootnath Temple.
The hygiene notwithstanding, Agastya Lake and the area around it is very picturesque and that along is worth visiting for.

Near Badami caves. Nice bird's eye view from the caves. Gets dried in summer but full in monsoon. Beautiful temples all around. Bhootnath temple is quite good with smaller ones and large stones with carvings. There is a small temple on a large stone with no visible way to reach there.
From Badami caves, across the lake, there is a one of its kind Archaeological museum with Govt staff, better to carry change if you want to visit it. On both sides of museum, nice places to visit with moderate climbing. Right side there are old scribes and left to museum, mountain with beautiful temples and nice view of Badami.
Enough parking space if you can figure out how to reach there! Hardly any drink, snack or water available nearby so carry yourself and try to visit early morning or late evening.

We got a bird’s eye view of the Agastya Lake when we climbed the hill where the cave temples are located. The waters looked very calm and serene in the early morning light when we visited the caves.
The lake is next to the Bhutnatha Temple and we got another mesmerising view of the lake from the banks. There were steps leading down to the lake, like a bathing ghat. We sat on the steps for a while as the sun was setting, and enjoyed another aspect of its beauty.
The lake water is considered to be holy and have some healing powers. But we found the water to be murky and greenish in colour, so we did not risk taking a dip in it. The approach to the lake is through some narrow roads of Badami town.
The views of the surrounding hills and the Bhutnatha temples and the caves on the opposite cliff against the setting sun make for a magical experience. Not many people visit this place, so it is very calm and quiet. It is very soothing to sit by the lake and meditate for a while.

Shri Tulja Bhavani Temple, situated in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra state, is an ancient and venerable Hindu temple with colorful towers and a black stone idol of a mother goddess. A popular pilgrimage destination for devotees from neighboring states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The temple's construction dates back to ancient times and its structure is captivatingly beautiful.
On the way we came across Akkalkot, a famous pilgrimage place where Akkjalkot Maharaj, one of Dattareya's incarnations, lived. The road is very wide with four lanes and quite smooth. So we reached our destination in one hour. The temple is built in Maharashtrian style with a small conical tower on which sculptures of Bhavani are seen. There is a huge crowd waiting in serpentine queues. The way leading to the temple is quite long with many shops on either side. At the entrance of the temple premises there is a big tree where you find a small cradle with a goddess. Brahmins came to help us in performing pooja to the main goddess inside the sanctum.
later asked us to stand in the line till we proceed to the main sanctum. It took nearly one hour to reach the sanctum. Many villagers with their families came and sang songs about Devi Ma.

Tulja Bhavani is a form of goddess Parvati who is worshiped in Maharashtra, and also by people of Telangana, Northern Karnataka and Nepal Bhavani translates to "giver of life", meaning the power of nature or the source of creative energy. She is considered to be a mother who provides to her devotees and also plays the role of dispensing justice by killing Asuras.Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj the founder of the Maratha kingdom, always visited this temple to seek blessings.[citation needed] The legend has to its credit to say that the Goddess gave him a sword called ‘Bhavani kadga’' by using which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was successful in his expeditions. The history of the temple dates back to the days of ' Skanda Purana ' as it finds a mention in that holy script. According to the epic story, there was a sage "Kardam" and his consort "Anubhuthi’ with an infant, in this area. After his death his wife "Anubhuthi" performed a penance for goddess in the name of Bhavani on the banks of river "Mandakini" to look after her child. There was a demon (Rakshasa) by name "Kukur" who tortured her. Then Goddess Bhavani rescued Anubhuthi and killed the demon. The goddess on the prayer of her pet devotee settled on the hill of "Bala ghat". Since then the Mother Goddess came to be called as Bhavani of Tuljapur or Tulja Bhavani.
Mother Goddess Bhavani temple is the place where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj graced was blessed by Matha Bhavani.[citation needed] It is situated at Tuljapur as such it is popularly known as Tulja Bhavani Temple in district of Maharashtra. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peetas attributed to Goddess Parvati. The second among the 'Shaktipeetas' is Goddess Bhavani at Tuljapur. Bhavani is one who gives life and source of original power.
Tuljapur is at 45 km from Solapur. Historically this temple was built in 12th century. There is yet another Tulja Bhavani temple built in 1537-1540 in Chittorgarh. There is a third temple of Tulja Bhavani in the village of Patnakuva Gandhinagar in Gujarat. According to the priest, this Goddess came here from Tuljapur during 14th century. The Goddess is said to be swayambhu (self emanated). It is true that God or Goddess is always referred as ‘swayambhu’ in Vedas, Puranas and many legends. But it does not refer to the stone idol installed in a temple. What is attributed is to the invisible Supreme power.
The second among the 'Shaktipeeths' is Tulja Bhavani of Tuljapur. It is the family deity of the Bhosale Royal family, the Yadavs and of countless numbers of families belonging to different castes. The great ruler and founder of the Maratha kingdom, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited the temple as he was a prominent devotee of her, people believe that the Goddess gifted him a sword - 'The Bhawani Talwar' - to succeed in his expeditions. Tulaja word indicates to an old Hindu monastery at Tolaja village in the present Rawalpindi division of Pakistan.Along with temples of Renuka at Mahur, Mahalaxmi at Kolhapur, and Saptashringi at Vani, the temple of Bhavani at Tuljapur forms the four great Shaktipitha in Maharashtra.[3] Many legends are associated with the temple. One legend involves a demon, Madhu-Kaitabh, who was wreaking havoc upon both the gods and humans. Unable to find any solution, they turned to Lord Brahma for help, who advised them to turn to the Goddess Shakti. She took up the form of a destroyer, and powered by the other (Sapta) Mata Varaahi, Brahmi, Vaishnavi, Kaumaari Indraani, and Saambhavi, vanquished the demon and restored peace. Legend also states that Bhavani finished another demon that had taken up the disguise of a buffalo (Mahisha), and took shelter on the Yamunachala Hill which is part of Balaghat mountain range.

I recently visited Shree Tulja Bhawani Shaktipeeth Temple and it was an amazing experience. The temple is located in a picturesque location and has a tranquil ambiance that is perfect for meditation and prayer. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Tulja Bhawani, who is known for her powerful presence and divine grace.
The temple is well-maintained, and the architecture and design are breathtaking. The intricate carvings and sculptures are a testimony to the exceptional craftsmanship of ancient India. The temple also has a serene pond and gardens, which add to the beauty of the surroundings.
The priests were knowledgeable and hospitable, and they guided us through the rituals with ease. The temple also offers various facilities like prasad distribution and donation counters, which were well-organized and efficient.
The atmosphere inside the temple was calm and peaceful, which made it easier to connect with the divine. The chanting of mantras and the sound of bells created a spiritual atmosphere that was awe-inspiring.
Overall, I would highly recommend Shree Tulja Bhawani Shaktipeeth Temple to anyone looking for a peaceful and spiritual experience. The temple is a must-visit for anyone interested in exploring the rich cultural and religious heritage of India.

Great Shakti peeth of Mata Tulja Bhavani. Takes more than hours for darshan in queue in normal days. Temple architecture is very beautiful. Many small temples inside the mandir premises. There is a Gaumukh holy water fall before entering the temple and suggested not to forget and definitely drink the holy water. You can take your mobile phone inside. Very nice energetic atmosphere in the temple. Beware of frauds remaining in temple area.

A pleasant experience and Darshan of Shree Tulja Bhawani Mata made my Day.
An Ancient temple with beautiful Architecture. The temple is one of the 51 Shakti peeth. It is worshipped by people of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and many more.
The Goddess Tulja Bhawani Mata gives us the Power and Strength to fight within our difficulties.
The Goddess has given the Talwar(Sword) to Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and it is known as "Bhawani Talwar".
As we came across the temple there are nearby Hotel and Lodges available to stay with pocket friendly budget and very walkable distance from the temple
There are Many Hotels and Snacks restaurants nearby which are Pure Vegetarian.
The Tuljapur Bus Station is quite walkable from the temple it is around 1 km
There are no Proper Section/Service to keep our Footwears we have to rely on the shopkeepers which are selling Pooja Saman and Coconuts.
Also there were no proper que Management it was quite disappointing.
Ambience was great and Cleaned

Neat and clean facility with big room. AC room in just 2000 rupees..extra mattress costing for 200 if no of family members more than 2.
Hot water available for bathing between 3-6 am.
Temple opens at 3 am in morning. So it's advisable to go to temple early morning hours only.

My visit to the Tulja Bhavani Devi Temple was a profound experience of serenity and spiritual upliftment. Revered by the Marathas, this temple's stunning black stone architecture creates a unique and enchanting ambiance. As I stepped inside, I was immediately embraced by the blessings and positive vibes of Goddess Tulja Bhavani, enhancing the divine atmosphere. While the temple often sees long queues during special occasions, visiting on an off day promises a more tranquil experience. Additionally, the surrounding market is a delightful spot for street shopping, offering a glimpse into the local culture and traditions. Overall, my visit to this holy place was truly remarkable, blending spirituality, culture, and history into an unforgettable experience.

Senior citizens with any ailments, diabetes, heart and surgery should avoid this. They have to climb up and down several stairs and once entered there is no exit until you reach end of museum. There are too many idols, too many information and it turns out boring after sometime. Cameras and mobile not allowed to take any photos. Takes close to 75-90 minutes to cover the entire strech...

Kaikadi Maharaja Temple is a not only a temple but it's also a very beautiful tourists place in #Pandharpur.
Pandharpur is famous for the #Shri_Vitthal_Rukmini Temple in all over #Maharashtra. It is the main centre of worship for Vithoba, a form of the GOD Vishnu or Krishna, and his consort Rakhumai.
Tha kaikadi maharaj math is about 2KM from the main temple of Shri Vitthal Rukmini. You can reach their by your private vehicle or public transport is also available just outside of the temple.
The area of this math is huge, you required at least 2-3 hours to explore this math with carefully viewing all the statues.
Before entering the temple you can see the huge idols showing Bramha Vishnu and Mahesh on Shesh nag on the top of temple.
After entering into the actual building you can see the various stories from the Purana’s, showing Hindu purana’s, Veda’s, Vishnu Avatar’s and so on... Stories are written in details so if u r interested and have time do read them. I'm sure u will like it the most.
The math has its own parking available for two and four wheeler vehicle which absolutely free of cost. Also for breakfast and lunch various options are available nearby the math. So there is no any problem to come and visit this place. Surely you get a extraordinary experience after exploring this place.
So, What are you waiting for then?
Want to visit religious place also want to explore some new things? Then this the place most suitable for you.

Kaikadi Maharaj Mandir is an exceptionally beautiful museum that can be visited for free to receive the Holy darshan and blessings from Saints, Sadhus, and Rishis spanning from ancient to modern times.
I have rated it with 2 stars primarily due to inadequate maintenance and absence of staff to protect the exquisite statues, which are deteriorating and damaged, posing a threat to its status as a cultural heritage site in Pandharpur.

Hidden gem to the world at Pandharpur. History says this was built and let for exhibit with the intention of offering free for the visitors. That too the small donation people offer is being used for annadhana. What an amazing cause.. people should encourage these places to reveal for someone to understand our Hindu ancient history and important historical characters. Worth place for someone who would like to explore spiritual and patriotic characters of our history and culture.
