Dafen Oil Painting Village is a unique and bustling district filled with narrow alleyways lined with workshops selling oil paintings, replicas, and art supplies. It's the world's largest producer of replica oil paintings, housing over 1,200 galleries featuring famous masterpieces from artists like Da Vinci, Warhol, and Klimt. Originally established as an artists' colony in 1989 due to its affordable rent prices, it has since become a platform for artists to showcase their original works.
Good place!!! I order one custom portrait here, very satifisfied with the works.

An unusual experience with Chinese painters. A place with a huge number of selling galleries of paintings and sculptures mostly made as copies of original world-famous paintings. I bought an original watercolor painting in a gallery, I didn't want a copy of a famous work, but there is enough of everything! The place itself has a positive spirit and perhaps in my opinion one of the most important places to visit in Shenzhen, and of course, if you are a lover of paintings and art, you will not regret it.
Borislav Bajkic — Google review
Amazing place where you can buy so many different types of paintings. Mostly replicas but really nice ones. Need to bargain hard at times but the paintings are very cheap and of good quality. Worth spending some time here when you are in Shenzhen.
Kamal Kumar — Google review
Plenty of paint shops. Reasonably priced paintings (replicates) available. Painting classes are offered too.
WC Wong — Google review
Dafen is a really interesting area to visit. Seeing painters replicate the classic arts we've come to appreciate, replica is almost its own form of expression. I wonder what the artists, many of which did not get to see their success, would think of this.
TinMan Of Aus — Google review
Interesting place to go and walk around even for someone who's not particularly interested in art, like me. I was kicking myself that I hadn't been more organised and sorted out a family photo to get turned into a painting as it would have made a nice gift and this is apparently a great place to get high quality and affordable work. Beside the village there's also an art museum and some nice local restaurants and cafes.

Exciting place for sightseeing chinese painting. They also provide experience to paint on canvas or ceramics.

It’s a place to enjoy painting experience, USD4 to 5 for drawing one by urself!
Jośe K — Google review
All sorts of artsy stuff including but not limited to calligraphy, pottery, oil paintings (what a surprise), and more!
I was looking for a souvenir for a friend to take home and came up with the idea of asking around for people who can paint caricatures (讽刺的漫画). I got an "alright" caricature at the end but I was hoping the artist would exaggerate even more.
Soroush Torkian — Google review
Dafen (Chinese: 大芬; pinyin: Dàfēn) is a suburb of Buji, Longgang, Shenzhen in Guangdong province, China. In the early 1990s a group of about twenty artists under the leadership of the painter and businessman Huang Jiang took up residence in this town. They specialised in the making of large numbers of replicas of oil paintings by masters such as Van Gogh, Dalí, da Vinci, Rembrandt or Warhol.
These replicas were sold in many countries for relatively low prices. The endeavor was quite successful and the demand for replicas increased. In order to fulfill the demand more and more artists took up residence and started to make a living, the estimate (2006) being in the thousands.
Many of the artists are trained at art academies in the required techniques and produce dozens of replicas daily.
The official policy states that these replicas are of paintings of artists who have died more than seventy years ago and consequently out of copyright. An obvious exception to this would be Andy Warhol (cited above) who died in 1987, and Dalí, who died in 1989.
The only requirement is that it is made clear that these paintings are replicas. Currently, the village sells both originals and replicas. It is possible to commission paintings for low prices.

Really cool place for those who are into painting and art stuff. The village has a great art gallery, absolutely worth visiting, since it displays different exhibitions regularly.
In the village, there are some nice shops for painters and of course the painters themselves, whose work is being done in front of you and you can spend hours observing the masterpieces of the world art being replicated.
there is a nice shopping mall near the village with plenty of spots to eat. + the whole thing is very close to the metro station

Guangzhou, a major city and popular destination in China, offers a plethora of attractions for visitors. Among them is Chimelong Paradise, the country's largest amusement park. Boasting over 60 rides and attractions, including a roller coaster with an impressive 10 inversions, it promises thrills for all ages. Notably, the park recently introduced a new roller coaster reaching speeds of up to 105 kph and towering at 61 meters high.
Went only for the circus night. It was cool. The displays were big, the acrobatics were amazing and how they involved people from the audience was great and so funny. Seats are not reserved and doors open at 5pm for the 730pm showing so would recommend going there early especially if its in the weekend. Almost all spots are quite good so I would recommend as close to the front and as close to the centre as possible. Being closer to the front is more important than being directly at the center. The show ended around 930pm. It costs money for a car to go in but there is a free shuttle to and from the nearest train station.

Interesting safari zoo. Good to go can be completed in a day. 10am - 5pm on slower pace if you don't plan to catch all the so so feeding shows.
Kids will love it.
Do catch the cable car from South Gate. A must do.
Went on weekday and avoid cny holidays

Not the biggest fan of theme parks but this one was excellent- lots of different rides for kids and big kids 😉.
The park is really well maintained and staff are helpful. Some staff do speak some English which is helpful.
Its best to get the Express Pass as it cuts down on alot of the waiting times. Can be purchased at the ticket booth or in the park itself.

i will never forget this place such a wonderful place biggest amusement park I ever seen in my life, I visited in 2009 till now i can not forget this place, rides were super and unique
Lokesh Gadige — Google review
They are decommissioning the Eastern side of park and building Condos. The Motobike ride is demolished, and Rocket Launcher looks closed for similar fate.
The 10 Inversion coaster is more gimmicky than fun and knocks your head violently from side to side.
Dive Coaster is superb and nicely supports one perfectly thru drops and curves.
Young Star Coaster is the only Family Fun thrill ride and is always worth it.
Winter weekday lines were nonexistent, so made whole day pleasant. Low 100cm minimum height was appreciated.
Minimum rider height of 120cm was surprisingly high for many rides best geared to kids. Enforcement appeared stricter for foreigners vs local kids of same height.
Park concession food is low quality.

Chimelong paradise is a very large theme park with many rides to entertain! Certainly a fun place to go with friends and family, and is very reasonably priced! Although before I went, I was a bit doubtful with all the accidents articles, but you sensed none of that when you were there. The park had variety of rides suitable for everyone, and many food stalls to cater to all diets. Overall the rides were very thrilling and it’s something different! The shows were also spectacular! Unfortunately English is limited so find a Mandarin speaking friend to go with!

This park has a few really great attractions and one unforgettable roller coaster but the overall theme of the park is a bit confusing and it feels like things don't flow together well. This is a fun afternoon for the family and it is reasonably priced.

Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park is a part of the larger resort complex and offers an extensive collection of exotic animals. Visitors can enjoy a safari train and a water park within the premises. It's an ideal destination for families, offering a diverse range of attractions suitable for all age groups.
Kids had a wonderful experience at the park. The food is not cheap inside the park.

It's a must-go if you visit Guangzhou! It's quite far from the city (around 1 hour trip by metro) but it's totally worth it! Plan a day to visit this place and another of the Chimelong Parks or the Chimelong Circus. It is huge! You should allocate at least 5 hours to see most of the attractions, and there are some shows that run on specific schedules. The Safari ride is amazing! You get to see the animals from very close range and you get crazy looking at both sides of the road! There is so much to see that words wouldn't be enough to describe it, just go see it by yourself, you won't regret it!

The drive-in part is rather short... we stopped at each area a good 10ish minutes and we're done in less than 90 minutes? So the extra US$50 to enter with a private car is not exactly a bargain, but definitely worth it...
The animals don't come to your car; they tell you to stay inside your car, but almost everyone sticks their head out of the sunroof for a better view...
Their guided trains (20-30 minutes) are actually window-less and cage-less... seems pleasant
There are actually gaps between you and all the territorial animals (net barrier for tigers). There are nearly 30 giraffes roaming at the end and are barrier-free. My kids loved them and we spent the most time there...
we parked the car and entered the zoo on foot afterwards...
- white tigers jumping into a pool for food in front of you (gapped by glass)
- elephant show
- pandas
- free roaming sloths (something about they couldn't get away)
- feeding giraffes (again, my kids favorite)
- birds flying over our heads
- cable cars...
we had a whole bunch of food inside, the beef and veggie pizza was surprisingly decent
e — Google review
Expect to spend the whole day if you want to experience all the attractions inside. Lots of restaurants and good signage. It's best to visit off peak when there isn't a lot of people so you can get enough time to visit the animals without feeling rushed. Walking distance from the Hanxi Changlong metro station.

What an amazing parc
Easy to reach by metro line no 3.
Prices are different during weekdays and weekend/holiday days. Weekend at 350RMB pp discount for elderly and children. So it might turn out to be a somewhat expensive day trip, however, worth it. What a beautiful parc.
Best to start with a gondel trip to get a good impression of the parc. Directions are overall very well indicated. You will need a full day to see all. Lots of places to sit dow and relax. Also plenty of restaurants and snack/drink stalls. Food bit pricey.
The parc is very well maintained, animals have plenty of space and are very well looked after. They have a special white tiger program and also a special panda program to protect these endangered species. The tiger cubs are amazing.
There is an option to buy special tickets to also visit one of the other theme parks that are located next to the Safari park but that would for sure be too to do in one day. Hopefully you will
Enjoy as much as we did.

Not worth it - Also we’ve paid for first class seats on Klook App and they gave us regular seats. One of the staff was so rude as well he shouted on us when we were asking about the seats locations as we were confused that they gave us the regular seats. Overall, complete mess and staff are not professional.

Impressive show!! Tickets are a bit pricey (280¥ ~ 40$ for students, 350¥ ~ 50$ for adults), but the experience is quite amazing. Would most certainly recommend.
One note though, do come early enough (at least 30 min before the show) to get decent seats. If you are seated at the sides, you might as well chip in more and purchase first class or vip tickets.
Ilija Stanojković — Google review
Tickets are on sale at the other Chimelong Parks too. Or you can use an app like Klook to get tickets the day before. It’s a circus with almost everything you can think of thrown into 1 circus. If you are familiar with Cirque De Soleil (CDS), you’ll know that each one has a theme. This circus is like all the different CDS thrown into a single show. It’s got water, air, land, animals, birds, horses, motor bikes, clowns, magic, singing, dancing etc. Essentially everything but the kitchen sink. It can seem somewhat disjointed at times but if you want full blast entertainment, then this is it. Best of all, cameras are allowed. I would recommend this to everyone.
FoodieDirectory — Google review
Terrific show! In some ways similar to the Cirque du Soleil but with more action. The show starts at 7 pm and lasts almost 2 hours. The front rows may get wet during the show. I would recommend you to visit one of the Chimelong Parks during the day and finish the day with this show. It's about 1 hour metro ride from Guangzhou.
To access the Xichong Public Beach Toll Gate 1, visitors may find it necessary to utilize a taxi or other means of transportation due to its remote location. The beach itself boasts exquisite natural beauty and offers ample opportunities for swimming and engaging in various water-based activities for those seeking excitement. Conveniently, shaded tents are available for rent, which is particularly advantageous when splitting costs among a group. Furthermore, lockers are provided on site, eliminating concerns about safeguarding personal belongings.
It's beautiful and clean beach in Shenzhen, China. 2.5 hours car driving distance from the city centre. The entry of this beach is not free. The washroom facilities are available to take a shower and parking space as well.

This was difficult to get to so you probably need to take a taxi of some sort for part of your journey. The beach itself was beautiful and you can swim all along the shore, as well as do a variety of water activities if you're feeling adventurous. There are shaded tents for you to rent, which would be ideal if you have a group of people to split the cost. Another great thing is that they had lockers for you to rent for the day, so you don't have to worry about your things. You need to pay a few yuan to use the restroom at the main entrance of the beach.

番禺蓮花山高球會The Lotus Hill Golf Club at PanYu in China just simply unsafe:
1. They didn’t pick up members , no shuttle bus provide, even they have made a reservation
As the AGM, Gary, he represented the club and claimed that even if the members make a reservation, they don’t necessarily have to provide the pick-up service .
Gary basically responded to members’ complaints about his ill management style by shirking responsibility, and made a lot of excuses.
2. Their front door carpet is wet and slippery, they did Not keep it dry and put a sign , it cause member to slip, fell and injured quite seriously.
3. No staff or medication or first aid service provided to member after the injury. There was no help, no medical treatment, no one even attempted to check on the injured person cause by their slippery floor.
4. Poor Room utilities, the water volume from the tub was so small, and the cold and hot water was basically either extremely cold/ hot, very unstable and uncontrollable.
5. INSURANCE, In no part of the conversations with Gary had he mentioned about the venue insurance that had the resort/ golf course covered.
6. Extremely poor caddie service and attitude, not professional at all.

Haagen-Dazs, also known as Lao Jie, is a delightful establishment offering a wide array of delectable frozen treats and refreshing beverages. This ice cream and drink shop presents an extensive selection of creamy desserts and flavorful drinks to satisfy any palate.
Xidi is a rural settlement located in Xidi Town, Yi County, situated within the Huangshan City of the Anhui province's Huizhou region in China. This village boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage that attracts tourists from various parts of the world. The town is known for its traditional architecture and well-preserved ancient buildings that date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Hongcun is a UNESCO-designated, ancient village nestled in Huangshan that boasts of exquisite architectural and artistic heritage. It serves as an idyllic backdrop to Ang Lee's movie and features small shops selling artfolk. To gain entrance, tourists should pay 104rmb but may have to contend with the crowds from Chinese tourist groups. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting along with the Huang Shan mountain trip.
A nice place to visit in Anhui. This is a well preserved ancient village with hundreds of years in history. Best time to roam around the village is after sunrise before 8am, the place is very peaceful with little tourists

This place is overrated in my opinion. An ancient village is now just full of tourists. Most of the food is basically just tourist trap food. The reflections in the water actually are quite nice though the pictures look better than what it looks like in reality. For some reason foreigners with a passport have 50 percent off their tickets. It’s also not a big place you can probably finish the entire area in about an hour to an hour and a half. Unbelievable that this is 5A tourist destination, definitely not a top tier tourist destination.

Hongcun (Chinese: 宏村; pinyin: Hóngcūn; lit. 'Hong village') is a village in Hongcun Town, Yi County, Huangshan City in the historical Huizhou region of southern Anhui Province, China, near the southwest slope of Mount Huangshan. Together with Xidi, the village became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000, because of its exceptional preservation of the architecture and city plan of a rural village in feudal China. Scenes from the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon were filmed on location in Hongcun.

Beautiful and very happening place, especially in the evening. If you’re interested in photography like me, this is a must visit place in this part of China. Beautiful reflections, old architecture, locals dressed up as models posing for photographers.

A nice place to hangout in Huangshan, but be cautious of tourist traps. Many young talented artists practiced painting and they seemed enjoying it. However, when I looked at their paintings, they were so different from what was showing in front of them. I quickly figured out that they were painting a picture taken by cellphone.

Wonderful ancient village from 12th century with small shops, artfolk. Entrance is 104rmb but can be very crowded because of Chinese tourist group.
It worth the visit when you go to Huang Shan mountain

The best way to enjoy this place is to spend a night there and get up early before the tour buses come. Early morning turns this village into an epic place with calmness.

Good location for a day trip, a quick drive from Huangshan (Yellow mountain). This scenic village partial claim to fame as the opening set for Ang Lee's Oscar winning Wuxia film Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Tour guides (Chinese), which is included in your entrance ticket, leave from the main entrance every ~10min to take you around the historical locations in the town.

I went there at last Christmas, and stayed one night. The night view was good as well. I felt the Jiangnan culture just saturated my body. I ate the local foods and looked the good views of Hongcun.

Tianzhu Shan is a stunning national park with mountainous terrain that resembles Chinese paintings. The hike to the top is challenging and lengthy, but the scenery along the way and at the peak is breathtaking. Although there is another higher peak beyond, some may choose not to continue due to its distance. The foggy mist at the top adds an extra layer of beauty to this picturesque location. Overall, Tianzhu Shan offers unparalleled natural beauty for those willing to take on its trails.
Extremely beautiful mountain national park area that looks just like the Chinese paintings! The hike is pretty long and strenuous and once you’re at the top it turns out there’s another six hours to get to an even higher peak which I didn’t do. The scenery at the top and all the way along the hike is pretty spectacular. I also really liked the cloudy foggy misty feeling at the top.
Bagua Village, also known as Chengkan Village, is a charming tourist destination that boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage. Situated amidst picturesque surroundings, this village exudes an overall simplistic style characterized by traditional Huizhou architecture. The houses in Bagua are meticulously designed with chronological precision, reflecting the essence of ancient Chinese construction techniques. Additionally, the village maintains an authentic atmosphere with a subtle absence of commercialism.
A historical and cultural heritage site with kind residents

Touristy old village, some still lived in, but able to get the feel of what it used to be, souvenirs, local food, handicrafts available, narrow streets between buildings is like a maze with historic houses showcased.

(Translated by Google) There are still residents living in Bagua Village, so the overall style is very simple, Hui-style architecture, and the houses are very old-fashioned, and the commercial atmosphere is not strong. I recommend everyone to visit it, it is very good.

The best hot spring in China, I've been there twice already and it is just fascinating!!! It has everything you need for free in the garden, where you also can listen to beautiful Chinese music. You can definitely be healthy again, just get relaxed in there! The hotel near there is cheap, and the ticket for the hot spring has a low price as well. 100% recommended!

The place is clean and the service is good. Staff is practically everywhere. There are numerous basins with varying temperature and themes. However, when we were there they only had 5 basins filled (due to low attendance). It should also be mentioned that the water is not mineralized (like in Japan), but simply water taken from the mountain stream and heated. Otherwise the place looks gorgeous with good views on Huangshan. We went during the week, during weekends it probably gets crowded.

This place is not an option for anyone wanting to use Muslim swim suits at their pools. They won't allow you to get in without traditional swim wear.
Not that I care about Muslims but I do believe anyone should be able to be them selves any where.

After a few days of hiking this is the perfect place to relax. The bus from the Huangshan Park entrance gate can drop you here on its way back to town. Beautiful pools and pretty good service. There is a snack bar included in the price of entry.

A really nice hot spring to relax after one day on the mountain! Normally the price is cheap if you buy in your hotel than in the hot spring lobby.

Xihai Hotel HuangShan is a relaxed hillside establishment with stylish rooms and suites, some featuring balconies. The hotel boasts two restaurants and a bar. Despite its location at the top of a mountain, the hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization. There are two sections in the hotel- one primarily for Chinese travelers and another for foreigners designed to resemble Las Vegas that exudes luxury. However, there is a personal preference towards the first section due to its laid-back vibe.
Put a night or 2 at the hotel in the Mt Huangshan scenic area if you want to capture sunset and sunrise. Room rates are very much higher than outside. In general, they provide good service, clean amenities and good breakfast included. There are several spots for photographers, each hotel will recommend suitable locations nearby their hotel. The hotel staff will lead the group to and from the spot.

Stayed 1 night to attend sunrise / sunset.
Prices are similar among the hotels on the top. (I paid ~1100¥ for a 2 single beds room)
Breakfast is buffet and was included but for dinner, I ate a the hotel, was a buffet as well. Not the best food but considering the altitude is still pretty nice. (Paid 180¥)
The hotel organised a trip to go watch the sun rise ( leaving hotel a 4:40am) and every room has winter jacket with the hotel logos at disposal (it is still quite chilly windy in the morning)
The receptionist 小马 was really helpful : provided me all the info I needed, a spot to go watch sunset, an itinerary for my way back down the mountain the following day

This hotel is clean, tidy and not what you'd expect at the top of a mountain. After a couple of hours of mountain stair climbing, this hotel is downright luxurious.
The hotel has two parts: a section where mostly Chinese travelers stay (and where I stayed), and another section where mainly foreigners stay. The second section is luxurious and is designed to look like Vegas. I prefer the first section, personally.

Stayed here with friends one night. Hotel is located top of the mountain. Okay for staying a night. Since the place is located top of the mountain, you don't have much choices for your meal. You have to eat from hotel and very crowded. Rooms are cleaned but pretty small for the price. For one night? It is not bad~~~ Most people stays here for sunrise...

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast is standard. Nothing to shout but I think it is better than the other hotels up in the mountain. Lunch and dinner is great depends on what you order. The rooms are not too big but the heater is appalling. We went there during winter and was from - 6 to 0 degrees Celsius. We set to 22 degrees but the maximum it went was 14. The air was too dry. I don't know why they don't provide humidifiers. We requested for an extra heater which the housekeeping gladly provides. Also mineral bottled water isn't provided so you need to purchase it at the convenience store at the lobby from RMB15 per bottle to support the people transporting it up to the hotel. Hotel located quite strategic to a sunset point which is about 10-15 min walk. Massage is expensive but the messuer is good.

This is a big modern hotel. Most of the customers are chinese groups. The first room they gave us had a water leak problem. The carpet was completely wet. When I went to the reception they told us there weren't any room available but I insisted and they found one...
In the 2nd room, the bathroom was so dirty... it was crazy ! I had to go to the reception twice before they clean... The restaurant is mainly a buffet not really great and the bar just a joke.
Yann Larhantec — Google review
This is the best hotel in the whole area. Don't look at the old pictures, they just built a new one and it is the best! I recommend this hotel if you are planning to watch the sunrise which is very early in the morning.

The views are unquestionably outstanding! We went in November which is out of season but the place was still so busy. Large tour groups go around the park with guides who shout constantly through loudspeakers which takes away from the serenity of the park. Also, we needed to get down via cable car but had run out of cash from paying for so many bus transfers, tickets and entrance fees. We were told by a hotel that they will take MasterCard but they didn’t! We were stuck and the cable car was soon closing. The ticket officer was just laughing at us which made it even worse. We luckily found a very sweet group of ladies who paid our fare and we made it down. Terrible service from the park though!

(Translated by Google) Jiuhua Mountain (simplified Chinese: 九华山; traditional Chinese: 九華山; phonetic: Jǐuhuá Shān) is one of the four great Buddhist mountains in China, located southeast of Chizhou City in Anhui Province - China Quoc. This mountain is famous for its beautiful scenery and ancient temples, associated with Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva
During the Luong and Tran dynasties during the Northern and Southern dynasties, Jiuhua Mountain was called Jiuzi Mountain because local people saw that it consisted of 9 mountains of the same size. However, there is a legend that in the year of Tang Tianbao (742-755), the famous poet Li Bai visited here and wrote:
"The magical existence divides the two energies
Linh Son opens nine flowers"
Pandemic:
"The magic divides heaven and earth
Linh Son blooms in full bloom"
Therefore, from then on this mountain changed its name to Cuu Hoa mountain.
The elegantly beautiful Jiushan is located south of Chizhou city, Anhui province. The total area of the scenic area in Jiushan Mountain is 120 km². The protected area is 114 km2. Along with the mountains: Wutaishan Mountain in Shanxi Province, Emeishan in Sichuan Province, and Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang Province, Jiuhua Mountain is one of the four sacred mountains of Buddhism in China, often visited referred to as "The Four Great Buddhist Famous Mountains".

"Diệu hữu phân nhị khí
Linh Sơn khai cửu hoa"

"Diệu hữu phân trời đất
Linh Sơn nở chín hoa"
Vì vậy mà từ đó ngọn núi này đổi tên thành núi Cửu Hoa.

(Translated by Google) A place to experience Buddhism in all its fascination. The temples are very well preserved and impressive.
Unfortunately, the complex is only accessible to individual travelers as it is far away from all tourist routes. The advantage of this remoteness is of course that you can take photos in which there are no more tourists than locals.
Speaking of recordings: recordings are not permitted in the temples.
Therefore 1 point deducted.
