Really amazing place. According to me, the sound of waterfall is a soul-lifter. One can sit here a bit or enjoy boating in the lake. Very beautiful piece of art presented by nature and captured by human eyes. Old age people can find peace here and one should visit here at least once. There are shops where we can get drinks, food, and decorative items like natural jewellery and also toys for children

I visited Sanaghagara Waterfall last weekend with my family and we had a wonderful time. The waterfall is located in a scenic forest area and the sound of the water is very soothing. The waterfall is not very high, but it is wide and has a lot of water. The water is clean and refreshing, and there is a pool at the bottom where you can swim or splash around. There are also some rocks and trees around the waterfall where you can sit and relax. The place is well maintained and has facilities like parking, toilets, changing rooms, and a small cafeteria. The entry fee is reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend Sanaghagara Waterfall to anyone who loves nature and wants to enjoy a peaceful and fun day out.

The main attraction is the waterfall is is truly amazing and must not be missed. There is plenty of parking space. Entry ticket is required which is ₹15 per adult. Parking charges extra.

The Waterfall is nothing short of magical! The cascading water had a mesmerising flow and the sound of rushing water added to the immersive experience. Surrounded by local trees the waterfall seemed like a hidden oasis. The tall trees seemed to frame the waterfall perfectly, turning into a natural masterpiece. Be sure to bring your camera for the waterfall and its scenic backdrop offer a visual treat.

This is a great picnic spot, for kids, or adults. The place is well maintained, and the trail to the waterfall is full of lucrative views. You will go through big trees on both sides. There are kids playing areas separately created. Be aware of monkeys though. The monkeys are friendly and they don't attack unless you initiate a teasing. There is a big lake at the centre of the park where boating facilities are available. Parking is available inside the premises.
You will find delicious street food to savour your taste buds.

The place is great to hangout with family and friends. Everything is well maintained. You'll find snacks shops inside. There will be monkeys, be aware of your food items. It's a sincere request to all the visitors, please do not throw your trash in the area. There are dustbins provided please use them.
Jyoti Ranjan — Google review
It is a very lovely location with a lake, waterfall, garden, and park. This location is frequently popular for picnics and leisure pursuits.
Additionally, there are grocery stores on the campus.
It's a great place to spend time with loved ones and friends. This space can be divided into two halves. One area features a lake where you may go boating and a walking route surrounds the lake. The waterfall is another area, and getting there requires a short hike from the entrance.
Small children can play with see-saws, swings, slides, and other toys.
The fact that trash is being strewn around is a disadvantage. There is a lot of trash around the waterfall. We must keep it tidy and put the trash inside.
Aahaan Naik — Google review
It is a place closure to nature. You can enjoy the beauty of nature here . It is also a good picnic spot. The view of the waterfall is really awesome ❤️. The boating facility is also available here.

Latest update of Sanaghagara waterfall .
1 ⭐ rating please try to upgrade those areas. No toilet and bathroom facilities are there. The bathroom is locked. If you have urgent then you have to go outside in an open area. I complained about the toilet at the ticket counter and they told me that the motor is out of order so the contractor locked both bathrooms. There is a small museum about the forest and their living beings but it was also locked outside. People and children were watching outside the window. Very badly maintained place. But the ticket price is so high . You have to pay extra for the picnic cleaning spot to the local people when they are charging for the same cause in the ticket.
Please let people enjoy the place. And authority please sit from the bloody chair and do some work at the beautiful place.

Shree Biraja Temple Shakti Peeth, Jajpur
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Walled Hindu temple complex with multiple shrines & colourful domes, dedicated to Goddess Biraja.
One of the Ashtadasha Shaktipeethas. Powerful place this and one can experience the vibrations within a short duration of Meditation/Dhyan. Like most devotees have mentioned before priests are money minded. They are not happy with the dakshina offered but demand for a certain amount. But one must look beyond these irritations to experience the ambience of this temple.
Vinay Kulkarni — Google review
This is one of the famous shaktipeethas in Odisha.. The temple architecture is so impressive. There's many small temples in the premises.. Priests are so money oriented... Overall it's a nice place to visit and feel the spiritual vibes..

Biraja Sakthipeeta is a historic temple located in #Jajpur. The principal deity is Matha Durgadevi, who is worshiped as Viraja. Jajpur itself is called #Viraja Kshetra and #BirajaPeetha. The Durga devi has two hands (dwibhuja), spearing the chest of Mahishasura with one hand and pulling his tail with the other. The murti's crown features Ganesha, a crescent moon and a lingam. The temple covers a large area, and has several shrines to Shiva and others. In this Sakthipeetam
Sati's navel fell. Ashtadasha Shakti Peetha Stuti Adi Shankara describes her goddess as Girija. This is also known as #NabiGaya

A good temple with ample of sapcaes and having a number of small temples inside the premises of man Gods. The priests are money oriented here which many devotees complain and annoying too.The evening ararti is very special and mind blowing.

Biraja temple is one of the the major Sakti peetha of Odisha. Located in Jajpur district which is around 20km from NH16 or Kuakhia flyover bridge. Needs some improvement in terms of sanitation and cleanliness around the temple. Garbhagriha surroundings should maintain some cleanliness.
Nirmal Chandra Das — Google review
This is one of the major 4 Shakti Peeth of India. This is a 2 hour 30min drive from the capital of Odisha. This has its own importance. This remains less crowded on ordinary days. There is a Navi Gaya in the premises of the temple for Shradh purposes. The parking around the premises is quite good.
Badri Narayan Padhi — Google review
The Prasad at Rs 70 is delicious..All temple authorities are very good..❤️❤️
I would definitely recommend this temple visit.

Biraja devi temple is a Shakti Peeth, where Sati's Navel/Nabhi is located. Serene temple and a devine Devi darshan. A bit far from Bhubaneswar though, very interior. Beware of the money minded pandits, they are common across all temples here.
Sujatha K — Google review
1) Time taken to reach the temple from Bhubaneswar Patia is about 2:30-3 hours. Actually we had taken a break for breakfast as we started from home early morning. Overall it might be around 2:20 mins.
2) The only challenge we faced at the place is the public rest room outside the temple perimeter is not clean even if they charge 5/- per person. It’s not maintained at all.
3) Just outside the temple perimeter, there is ample space for vehicle parking.
4) we had a wonderful and peaceful Darshan of Biraja Maa without any crowd or any pull/push of pandas/public
5) The temple perimeter has 7-8 more temples with lot of spaces to roam around. For elders it is a very comforting place as not much stairs to climb and they can sit under a tree if tired or during summer days
6) from temple about 3-4 km there is a Dasashwamedh Ghat which is Beside Brahmani river where people perform Pind Dana rituals.
7) It is said, that the Garva Griha within temple perimeter does not need any cleaning. Once Pind offered here, the Pind only goes to the centre of earth and it never gets filled. Nice concept I found it, as this place is one of the 51 Shakti Peeth of Maa Shakti where “NAVI” of Maa Shakti fell here.
Bishnu Behera — Google review
Shakthi peedam is a good place to visit. The structure of the temple was awesome. In Hanuman temple inside the holyman is beating us with the Hanuman gatham. And a Shiva lingam is big and lovely.
Bharathi S — Google review
It is one of the most holy place in odisha..and a shakti pitha also..the temple is in jajpur town and maa durga is worshipped by maa biraja...a beautiful temple with beautiful place ❤️
Rajesh Pradhan — Google review
Must visit the temple. It's a very warm feeling you will get inside the temple. You will get a chance to see all of Siva linga inside the temple.
Cons: the pujari harassment is very bad here. Pujari will force you to pay money for any offering to the goddess. Don't pay money to them and keep yourself while entering the temple do not say where you are from.
Saswat Sahoo — Google review
May have a strong history behind this temple. I heard one localite telling me that Parvvathi's part fell at this place and formed the Biraja Mandir. The main diety is Maa Parvathi. There is a pathal Jagannath Temple and it is not maintained at all as it has become a dwelling for a lot of cockroaches. Some one was distributing prasad for Rs.20 in the temple complex and few people were selling diary products. Towards the left of the temple there were plenty of Shivlings. When we went it was a bit crowded and it took about 1 hour for darshan. Some of the Decotees had orange Tika on their forehead with white thrishul in the center painted.

Maa Biraja Temple is located in Jajpur, Odisha.
It is one of a Sakti Pitha and is told to be powerful as one body part of Goddess Sati (before the birth of Parvati Devi), wife of Shivji fell here from across India. There is an ancient story about it.
This Temple is open during morning and evening hours.
The names of idols are also mentioned in Telugu.
Overall one must visit it, will feel blessed.
I am adding the map of Shakti Pithas which was present at the temple, referring which visiting to different Shakti Pithas would be easier.
Colored Spots in map to identify different Shakti Pithas-
Blue: Adi Shakti Pithas
Red: Astadasha Maha Shakti Pithas
Yellow: Daksha Yagna Site
Green: Maha Shakti Pithas
Note:
Beware of Pujaris who will spam you for money.

The feeling of being connected with Maa can't be expressed through words, one has to experience it by self only.

Mountaintop Shiva temple surrounded by forest & caves, accessed by car or a long flight of steps.
An awesome temple situated at the top of a hill.
You can reach the place by thrilling bike road on the curvy road or you can take the 1352 stairs.
Abhada is also served during lunch time.
Be aware of the monkey.
Take lots of beautiful pictures and enjoy the beauty.
Peace.

Best place to explore nature and devotional feeling.. You just feel like you're in the lap of mother nature... If you are fit to climb the 1352 stairs, then please prefer the stairs as you will get a golden opportunity to feel the calmness and tranquility that way. I climbed the 1352 stairs all the way up to the temple and felt so satisfied about that. I think only Lord Shiva devotees can feel those brilliant feelings... A MUST VISIT IF YOU ARE IN ODISHA!!!

Hindu believed temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The ghat section needs careful and cautious driving to reach the temple. For pedestrians more than 1300 steps to be climbed. You have to be very much alert during purchasing and holding valuable items, food etc from the monkey. Pure vegetarian food (rice, dalma, chutney, curry and khir ) are available during daytime inside the temple premises. Beautiful temple surrounded by hills, jungle and small spring. At the base of Kapila's temple a children's amusement park, science garden, and a small animal zoo can be visited.

I always like to go where nature's beauty is spread all over. Kapilash is one of them. There is a temple of Lord Shiva on the top of the hill where he is worshiped. The environment is good & you can't watch the whole place in one day. Also, the washrooms and toilets are very clean to use. The best part is that you will get lost in the beauty of nature. There is a hotel that provides lunch by giving you paid token before the lunch. Lastly, I enjoyed the trip to Kapilash a lot and obviously, you will also.

Kapilash Temple, also known as Mahadev Chandrashekhar Temple.
The temple is famous for handicrafts, and during the three-day festival of Shivratri, thousands of pilgrims gather there. Devotees carry water from the Mahanadi in earthen vessels on their shoulders, and then trek barefoot to the hilltop to pour the water on the Shivling.

It's a best place to visit. Tample of Lord shiva(Chandrasekhar) is placed on the kapilash mountain and you have to ride 1352 stairs to reach there and it's a beautiful journey. Although there is way to travel by vehicle to the temple it's better to go by stairs if you are capable. After the Lord shiva tample you'll find Sita entudisala that is the birth place of Laba and Kusha after climbing the mountain for 15-20 mins after. Then again after 15 mins you will reach to the top which is known as Devahava where all the gods are believed to have meetings every knight.

Nestled in the Old City, Cuttack Odisha, on the confluence of River Mahanadi, Mother Chandi is the main deity who is looking after and protecting this Premier Capital of Odisha .This powerful black stone deity is the ruler of Cuttack and a living goddess.
According to legend, the present piece of land, where the holy temple is located, was lying fallow before. Late Sri Hansa Panda, who happens to be the Purohit of the then King of Kanika, experienced a strange unusual feeling within himself. Surprisingly on the same night, The Goddess "Chandika" appeared in his dream and requested him to take her out of the land.
The image of the deity is older than the temple. It is believed that she was the family deity of the Gajapati Empire in the medieval age, due to Islamic invaders' attacks she was buried while the kings migrated to Puri. This temple was established in 1946.

The arati timing of this temple is 6:30 PM. The shoe stand price is 5/- per footwear. The mandira bhog is 100/- and one deep is 20/-. The holy place is a bit pricey so better take your own puja essentials from home. The vibe is very positive and powerful here so make sure you have cleansed your brain before entering the temple or else you'll not be able to understand the feel I'm talking about. Remember to leave space in front of the lion to see maa during the arati. That's what you need to know for visiting the temple.

The Nandankanan Zoological Park is an interesting zoo with a wide variety of animals, including white tigers and pangolins. It is located inside a forest, making it a unique kind of zoo.
Not recommended to visit during summer as the area is huge and walking under the sun will be tiring but still we enjoyed our safari and spent some good time here. The Zoo is well maintained and has enough exotic species like the White Tiger, Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard and Lion.
Zoo also has large variety of crocodiles, reptiles, bears and giraffes.Entry fee is Rs 50/ per person and for safari is Rs 60/- per person. There is a battery-operated vehicle which makes travelling easy within zoo.

One of the best Zoo's of India. Spread in almost 500 acres of land. Very well maintained, spacious and greenery. Different species of Tigers, monkeys, lions and reptiles are found here along with Giraffe, Chimpanzees and birds.
Purified Cold Drinking water and Toilets are available all around the zoo for the comfort of visitors.
Jungle safari and trains are also available for adventures. Electric vehicles for those who can't walk down the zoo specially for senior citizens.
I personally had a lovely experience and would surely recommend this place to visit both for adults and children.

Well worth a visit, just be patient - the entrance to the market square is set back and very busy, but be patient as the real attraction is at the end. It is also very convenient to bring a car with a battery because it is very large. It was amazing to see tigers, white tigers and lions. Tiger safaris are also good and giraffes can also be seen.
Be sure to hire a guide to help you navigate the large zoo. Proof can be obtained once you receive your tickets.
There is a famous white tiger in the zoo and it is worth seeing. Of course, they have ferocious lions and many tigers. Lots of animals - you decide what to see and let the guide know. It takes at least two hours to walk through the zoo at a brisk pace and see all the animals. A must-see attraction! ! !
Overall, my recommendation is - spend time in Nandankanan by yourself and support the conservation efforts. It is a relatively small zoo, especially if you have been to zoos in India or overseas in bigger cities.

Nandankanan Zoological Park is a true paradise for animal lovers and families alike. Spread over vast acres of lush greenery, the park offers a unique opportunity to witness a wide array of exotic and indigenous species in their naturalistic habitats. The zoo's emphasis on animal welfare and conservation is commendable, providing a safe and enriching environment for its inhabitants.
The park's star attraction is undoubtedly the white tiger safari, where visitors can marvel at the majestic and rare white tigers roaming freely in a spacious enclosure. Additionally, the park houses a rich variety of animals, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and a diverse range of bird species.
What sets Nandankanan apart from other zoos is its unique feature of a botanical garden within the premises. The lush gardens add to the serene ambiance and provide an opportunity for visitors to relax and enjoy the natural beauty.
The zoo's dedication to education and awareness is evident through their informative exhibits and regular conservation programs. Visitors can learn about the importance of wildlife protection and the role each individual can play in safeguarding our planet's precious biodiversity.
However, to fully explore the vast expanse of the park, visitors should come prepared with comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water. Some areas might require better signages and directions for convenience.
In conclusion, Nandankanan Zoological Park is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a memorable and educational wildlife experience. Its commitment to conservation, splendid animal exhibits, and serene surroundings make it an enchanting place to connect with nature and wildlife.

The name "Nandankanan" translates to "The Garden of Heaven" in the local Odia languages.
Nandankanan has a beautiful botanical garden with a wide range of plants, making it an ideal place for nature enthusiasts. The zoo is well-equipped with amenities for visitors including a nature interpretation center, an aquarium, a reptile park, and a walk-in aviary.
Visitors can enjoy safari rides in the zoo, including a white tiger safari and a lion safari, to get a closer look at the animals in a more naturalistic setting. We have seen almost all the animals and it’s worth visiting especially with kids. They will definitely have super fun. Even though it needs a long walk it’s worth going for the animals. The animals were also given cute names to call them. The zoo is kept clean and the animals are well taken care off.
Nandankanan Zoological Park is a place where conservation, education, and recreation come together to provide an enriching experience for visitors while contributing significantly to the conservation of endangered species. It is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in wildlife and nature.

I don't really like Zoological gardens but this place was a bit different. This place was clean and the animals looked well fed. We visited this place last in 2015 and it was pretty well maintained. They also had a conducted tour bus to move conveniently inside the zoo and it was mainly for elder people and families with kids.
The zoo area is pretty big and they had a large variety of animals at their zoo. The kids and young adults would enjoy this place very much.

I recently visited the Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar, my overall experience was superb. This offers a wide range of fascinating animals and birds, making it a delightful destination for nature enthusiasts and families. The well-maintained enclosures and the presence of helpful maps and guides throughout the zoo made the visit enjoyable.
The variety of animals and birds present at Nandankanan is truly impressive. The zoo offers a glimpse into the diverse world of wildlife. The information provided in front of each enclosure helps visitors to know about the animals.
However, amid the visit, I have a sympathy for some of the animals living in enclosures. Although efforts have been made to create suitable habitats, still the birds and animals are confined to cages.
Some of the additional attractions, such as boating, flying cars, and the safari train, were not operational during my visit.

A nicely setup zoo. It is located on a plot land with trees and scrubs that seem well equipped to accommodate a zoo. There are the usual animals, but we visited this zoo, especially to ser the indian and white tigers. It was mid day, so they were hiding or not very active. The animals were given a good sized cages with enough space to walk and run. Nevertheless, we managed to see some and take photos.
Apart from the zoo, they also have an area that they call Safari. The animals are given a much larger area to live in, and in order to see the animals, you board a bus that drives you through the different safari zones. The drivers were in a hurry to drive you around, which did not allow everybody to make photos or to observe the animals adequately.

The zoo has a number of Royal Bengal Tigers, White Tigers, Leopards, Lions, Giraffe, range of reptiles and crocs in reptile world, nocturnal animals and many more The zoo also facilitates safari experience (though safari world is not very big in size). You can book your your entry tickets online to enjoy hassle-free check in. Electric vehicles are available on chargeable basis. Overall a great place to enjoy wildlife.

For me, visiting this zoo leads to a good day! There is a different parking spot for the vehicle and it is charged. You need to buy tickets and show them at the entrance gate to get an entry, also you'll encounter a large crowd at the ticket counters. Tickets for individuals as well as for the safari guide are available. Since it consists of so much of diversities that are put together, that includes various animals, birds, and reptiles; you'll not find it boring at all to explore this place with your friends and family. The environment provided to the respective creatures somehow mimics their natural habitat or the wild, as well as their basic needs, are being fulfilled. The creatures where they are enclosed are quite as natural as that of the wild including a room-like space.

Our recent visit to Nandankanan left us feeling quite disappointed. While we were excited to spend a day with our family exploring the park, our experience fell short of our expectations.
The park's layout and organization seemed confusing, making it challenging to navigate from one exhibit to another. We found the signage to be inadequate, leaving us unsure about which direction to go and which animals were in each area. This led to some frustration and wasted time as we tried to find our way around.
Another letdown was the condition of some of the animal enclosures. It was disheartening to see a few enclosures that appeared cramped and in need of maintenance. The animals' well-being should be a top priority, and we were concerned about their living conditions in certain areas of the park.
Furthermore, the cleanliness of the park was a concern. We noticed litter in some sections, which detracted from the overall experience and the natural beauty of the surroundings.
On a positive note, there were a few exhibits that were well-maintained and offered an interesting glimpse into different species. However, these positive aspects were overshadowed by the overall lackluster experience we had during our visit.
NOTE: Scammers alert- DON'T BUY GUIDE TICKET FROM OUTSIDE AS IT'S A SCAM, THEY WILL QUOTE A PRICE OF RS.800/640...BUT IF YOU CHECK THE ACTUAL PRICE INSIDE THE PARK IT'S QUITE CHEAPER.

A really decent zoo, on its way to become a quite unique zoo. The varieties and quantities of animals they have is not that impressive compared to other famous zoos I've visited. But it is fairly entertaining. They even have battery cars for the elderly who can't walk.
One special point about them is that they have an area where they have separate division for types of animals. Like bear, tigers, lion they all live in a real mini forest made for them and we enter it through a bus. Loved the concept.

Government maintenance is lacking here. Consider hiring a guide; otherwise, you'll just be looking at animals with no context. Guide rates are ₹250 per hour for groups under 10 and ₹300 per hour for over 10 people. Even with a guide, opt for an e-vehicle ticket for a less tiring and comprehensive zoo experience. Instead of a counter ticket, scan for an e-ticket outside the ticket building. Guides may ask ₹500; show them the government rates on the website to negotiate. E-vehicle tickets may have queues but are worth it. Unfortunately we didn't get safari tickets due to crowd. The tour takes 1.30-2 hours; carry a water bottle and eat beforehand as outside food isn't allowed. Remember your cap and goggles after 11 am. The diverse animal collection is fascinating with a guide. Closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly.

Since my initial visit to this zoo in 2010, it has, I believe, seen significant development. However, there may yet be a need for improvement in areas such as cleanliness and visitor transportation throughout the zoo. These days, animals are far healthier. I went to Bhubaneswar during Makar Sankranti in 2024. I visited Shree Ram Mandir during the morning hours around 6 am. It was not so crowdy. I must say that the temple trust is working towards the cleanliness and in a proper way. They have pooja items shops inside the temple premises so you don't have to worry about the things you want to offer to the God. Moreover you can find there Ganesha temple, all the three main Godesses in Sanatan Dharma - Ma Durga , Ma Lakshmi, Ma Saraswati and other avatars like Sheetla Mata and Gayatri Mata, Mahadev, Shree Radhe Krishna temple, Shree Panchmukhi Balaji temple and the main temple with Prabhu Shree Ram. Marble is the main element in the construction of idols. Three energies are quite calming here. There is a big hall so you can sit and meditate to connect with God. Also there is a counter where you can keep your shoes with a nominal amount of 5 rupees. Also there is a sweets shop in the premises from where you can buy the bhog. I had a great trip to the temple and I still cherish the memories.

There is a huge rush at most times and you have to be patient to be able to get entry into the temple complex.
The carvings are very intricate and beautiful.
A very good example of the architecture and design skills of our history.
One important point: Since this is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, the rush on Mondays is very high. So, it is better to go very early in order to have a darshan.

Great architecture, the main deity is almost at below ground level unlike other Shiva Lingas. There are many small temples inside housing many different Shiva Lingas.
I loved the temple architecture. The only deterrent are the one who does Pooja (Brahmins). They are money hungry, creating constant sounds like put 300-500 on the deity to get blessings. Offer 10 rupees on the foot to get what you need etc.
I would like to hear from them Om namashivaya chants or mantras which create more positive energy.
You are supposed to leave your mobile outside the temple which is a welcome move. If govt does some renovation of dilapidated structures through ASI it will be even great.
Let's make our heritage and religious beliefs even better.

I visited the Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves with my family last week and I was amazed by the historical and religious significance of these ancient rock-cut caves. The caves are located on two adjacent hills, which offer a panoramic view of the city of Bhubaneswar. The caves are well-maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India and have informative signboards and guides to explain the history and architecture of the caves.
The caves are believed to be built during the 1st century BCE by King Kharavela of the Mahameghavahana dynasty for the Jain monks. The caves have beautiful carvings and sculptures depicting various scenes from Jainism, Buddhism and Hinduism. Some of the notable caves are Hathi Gumpha, which has a 17-line inscription of King Kharavela's achievements; Ranigumpha, which is a double-storeyed monastery with a courtyard; Ananta Gumpha, which has images of snakes, elephants and lions; and Ganesha Gumpha, which has a figure of Lord Ganesha on the doorway.
The caves are open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm every day and have a nominal entry fee of Rs. 15 for Indians and Rs. 200 for foreigners. There is also a fee of Rs. 25 for video cameras. The caves can be reached by bus, auto-rickshaw or taxi from Bhubaneswar. The best time to visit the caves is during the winter season when the weather is pleasant and comfortable.
I would highly recommend visiting the Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves to anyone who is interested in exploring the rich cultural heritage of Odisha. The caves are a testimony to the artistic and religious diversity of ancient India and offer a glimpse into the life and beliefs of the Jain monks. The caves are also a great place to enjoy some peace and tranquility amidst nature. I would rate the Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves 5 out of 5 stars for their historical, architectural and spiritual value.

The historic places to visit with family. Both are different. One is free & other is chargeable to enter. Have to be careful while climbing especially old age people. At the common entrance there are alot of monkeys thief. Be careful with them. They may snatch your purse or any handbag. They do it because people feed them so they don't fear people. They expect people to feed them of not they will snatch the purse or bag in search of food. Sometimes people lost their costlier belonging if they have any jewellery or mobile in purse of they snatch it they run away so chances that you may loss the belonging. Be alert.

One of the most important heritage sites for Odisha and Jainism. These ancient caves were built in the 1st century BCE by Emperor Kharavela. One can spend their entire day here exploring the caves, heritage sites, and hill tops.

Good historical place worth visiting. It was clean unlike other tourist places in Odisha. You need at least 2 hours in hand to explore and for photography. Do wear comfortable shoes as you need to walk a lot.

Place is good but this is not the right time to go there. It is very hot or I can say body is burning from the heat🔥. 12pm to 4pm. you can't go anywhere. You can see so many old time temples like 10th century etc.

These jain caves attract large crowds. You need to climb up on stairs to reach the various caves. On top of the hill, there is an active jain temple. On top there is also a good scenery of the surroundings and the airport. The caves are not too interesting to see, although some have some protected scrulptured.

Both the caves has amazing view from the top. Although previously the places were more beautiful as many of the sculptures on the walls are no more there. But the nature around them is gorgeous.

One of the Must Visit Place in Bhubaneswar if you are planning a trip to Bhubaneswar. These caves are partly Natural and Party Artificial. It is having great archaeological, historical importance. The view of city from the top is nice. One will find a lot of Monkey here. Also, you will find vendors selling bread to feed the monkeys. If you hold the bread in your hand, they will come and sit on your shoulder and eat it. It was fun experience.
Entry fee is around Rs 25 per person. Don’t try to book tickets online. There are some fake websites selling tickets @ Rs 200 per person stating they are the official site. There is no limit on the no of ticket to be issued per day. So, you will always get the ticket directly from the counter. Also I don’t think there is any official site to book the ticket online.

Nice historical place on a hilltop on the outskirts of Bhuvaneshwar. This is near the place where the famous battle of Kalinga took place. The legend is that it is on this hillock that Emperor Ashoka realised the futility of war.
The road uphill ends in a small parking lot surrounded by outlets selling traditional items, food etc...the typical scenario in any tourist spot. Many people also bring along food and have picnics among the woods in the hillside. From this parking lot, there is a short wall up the steps to the Stupa.
Given the limited space, parking for cars is a issue. Lots of people park on the roadside due to this.
They have provided a lift for the senior citizens and handicapped. That is a very good initiative that I have not seen in other such tourist spots. They have a public urinal as well with paid service charging rupees 10 per person.
From the courtyard of the stupa, you can see a nice view of the river downhill. The Stupa is magnificent and has beautiful murals. It also has the customary lion statues on all four sides.
Overall a nice place to go.

The Konark Sun Temple is a grandiose Hindu temple that was built in the 13th century, designed to represent the chariot of Surya, the sun god. It features intricate sculptures and is believed to have been constructed by King Narashimhadev of Odisha after his victory over Muslims. The temple comprises stone cartwheels representing hours of the day and seven horses symbolizing days of a week that pull the chariot around its base.
The best of best in architecture.
Very pleasant place to visit and a best tourism point.
The laser show after the visiting hours is the greatest attraction for the temple. *MUST WATCH*

Loved the place. Popularly known as Black Pagoda. It is an architectural masterpiece. We must visit this place at least once. This temple is dedicated to God Son and his wives though many major structures are destroyed and some weathered with time yet many parts are well preserved and maintained by Government.
This place will remind of India's glorious history and the talent it had from ancient times. This temple is in a chariot shape with 12 wheels in total with extra ordinary carvings and fine work. This chariot wheel was used to know the time ⌚in ancient times and this is not any myth you can see this yourself, the guides there will explain the process. This signifies how well we were aware of scientific use of material things from ancient times. Overall this place is a must visit place.

It's a beautiful place! Well maintained, photogenic, and of great historical significance. If you like to delve into historical musings, this place is best to do so. The architecture, the intricate designs are sculptures are mesmerizing. Do read up a bit of history on Sun Temple to enjoy the majesty of this temple to full extent or get a guide. The wheels of this 'chariot' temple can also tell you the exact time of the day. The best time to visit would be early morning when the crowd is less.

Konark Sun Temple is a timeless masterpiece that will leave you awestruck. This architectural gem showcases the ingenuity of ancient Indian craftsmen. As I walked through the temple's corridors, the intricately carved stone sculptures took my breath away. The temple's chariot-like design and celestial motifs are a sight to behold. Despite the partial ruins, the temple's aura remains enchanting. Surrounded by the serene Chandrabhaga beach, this UNESCO World Heritage site offers a perfect blend of history, spirituality, and natural beauty. A visit to Konark Sun Temple is a must for anyone seeking an unforgettable experience in India.

The Sun Temple of Konark is a history of exquisite craftsmanship. Entry fee is Rs 25 for each. After entering through the gate, the first thing that comes is the main door whose design and handwork is amazing. Then the main Sun temple of Konark, if you go around the whole sun temple, you will see the beautiful works carved on the temple. And behind the Sun temple is another old temple made of bricks. Surrounded by lush green grass around the temple, the best time to visit Konark Sun Temple is just before sunset.

A magnificent structure man must see and ponder about a time people made such structures back in the day ! A bit crowded and people must really follow the rules mentioned. Please don’t climb over the fence and please do not dispose trash on site !
Book tickets online instead of waiting in queue and support the local guides as they know more about the history behind them.

There is are sun dial also which shows the real time according to the shadow which is amazing and the most important part of the temple.
The history behind this structure will definitely surprise you.

The Konark Sun Temple amazes with its remarkable architecture, boasting intricate carvings and exceptional craftsmanship. Its design depicts a chariot dedicated to the sun deity, Surya - truly breathtaking! The sculptures that adorn it relate stories of mythical events as well as historical ones; providing an insightful glimpse into India's vast cultural heritage. Yet further maintenance may be necessary in order to ensure this site retains its invaluable historic importance for future generations. All things considered, enthusiasts of history and art should certainly visit this awe-inspiring temple without fail!

What can you say about this Sun Temple at Konark? Bewitching architecture and absolutely brilliant work. Will keep you wondering on how this was carved. Every centimetre of the monument is brilliant. On the other hand you are bound to feel sad seeing the destructions perpetrated on the monument by the invaders. Suggest you to be there around 3 pm, so that you can look around and also capture some beautiful shots during sunset. Place is enveloped in lawns and is very well maintained. Clean pay to use toilets are also available. There are a lot of guides. If you just know English would suggest to check the conversational ability of the guide before engaging one. It’s worth. There are also people who take photos and give you printouts. They also shoot you from your mobile in a pretty background, of course for a charge. Prefer winter season as Summer is very hot. Add Bhubaneswar temples which are nearby to your list. You’ll love their architecture as well!

A Marvelous Journey Through Time: Exploring the Konark Sun Temple
Nestled on the eastern coast of India, the Konark Sun Temple stands as a timeless testament to the architectural brilliance and spiritual significance of ancient India. My recent visit to this UNESCO World Heritage Site was nothing short of enchanting, offering a mesmerizing glimpse into the rich history and cultural heritage of the region.
From the moment I caught sight of the temple's imposing silhouette against the azure sky, I was captivated by its grandeur. The intricate carvings adorning every inch of the temple's exterior spoke volumes about the craftsmanship and devotion of the artisans who sculpted them centuries ago. As I approached the temple, I couldn't help but marvel at the intricate details depicting scenes from Hindu mythology, intricate motifs, and ornate sculptures that adorned the walls.
Stepping inside the temple, I was enveloped in a sense of serenity and reverence. The interior, though weathered by time, still retained a majestic aura, with remnants of its former glory evident in the remnants of intricate carvings and sculptures. Despite the passage of centuries, the temple's sanctity remained palpable, and I found myself immersed in a profound sense of spirituality.
One of the highlights of my visit was witnessing the awe-inspiring architecture of the temple's main sanctum, where the imposing chariot of the sun god Surya stood tall, intricately carved and adorned with majestic sculptures. The sheer scale and intricate detailing of the chariot left me spellbound, serving as a poignant reminder of the ingenuity and artistic prowess of ancient Indian craftsmen.
As I wandered through the temple complex, I was struck by the tranquil beauty of the surrounding landscape. The lush greenery, gently swaying palm trees, and the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore created a serene ambiance that complemented the spiritual atmosphere of the temple.
In conclusion, my visit to the Konark Sun Temple was a truly unforgettable experience that left me awestruck and deeply moved. Visited during evening hours in the first week of April, on a weekend. Due to the breezes in wide open lands, it was comfortable despite a hot and humid day. Moderate crowd with less queue for tickets. The main entrance from the road is beautiful with plants and greenery on a tiled wide path. Shops around the temple entrance are well arranged and maintained.
Not much to say about the temple. Clean and serene. For historical information and immersive experience, a guide is recommended. But for enjoying the beauty, we simply strolled through the compound and rested a bit.

The temple has its own history of creations and demolition by Britishers. There's is tickets to charge nominal charges not sure for Foreign tourists.
Better to hire guide to know the history well about it but should not pay more then 400-500 as per your group.
Approx visiting time 1-2 hour , you will complete the whole walk around in Max 2 hours.
Shopping is interesting on the way but do negotiation at the best.
Got to know may be renovation will start soon and temple will be open again.

This beach is also called Ramachandi Beach. It is around 1 km from Chandrabhaga Beach on same shore line.
The river Kusabhadra meets bay of Bengal here.
This beach is on the front of Lotus Resort, which is very popular for small parties and night stays (the food was absolutely delicious for a delhite like me).
This is absolutely beautiful place and if you are looking to relax your mind and body or click some great looking pictures with boating activities in background, I recommend this place.
However, there are few things which must be kept in mind before coming to this beach :
1. Entering into waters is not allowed because here the water current is very strong (unlike other beaches where entering water is allowed ).
2. This place is far better suited for family, group and couples because since entering water is not allowed, people involved in consumption prefer the nearby Chandrabhaga beach.
3. You are not allowed to stand on the ridge of sand and sea to preserve the coastal line from ocean.
What else can you do?
You can have food in the Lotus resort which has standard prices and value for money food.
You can take take a drive on marine drive.
You can walk book a nightstay in lotus resort (which is a bit expensive )
You can visit Konark Sun Temple which is around 5 kms from here.
You can swim in ocean on Chandrabhaga beach which is around 1km from here.

Ramachandi Temple is a sacred Hindu shrine, located only about 5 km away from Konark in the Puri district of Odisha. Goddess Chandi is the presiding deity, worshiped at the temple. The shrine is one of the most famous Shakti Pithas of Odisha. Natural calamities over time have destroyed a major portion of it, yet owing to its sanctity, it still receives a large number of devotees every year.
History of Ramachandi Temple Puri
According to a folklore, in 17th century, a rebellious Hindu Brahmin named Kalapahad converted to Islam and vowed to demolish all the Hindu temples. In his quest to do so, he tried to destroy the Ramachandi Temple, situated on the backside of the Sun Temple. He was successful in damaging the Sun Temple to a large extent but was unable to destroy the Ramachandi Temple.
However, on the same night, Goddess Ramachandi appeared in the dream of one of her dedicated devotees and ordered him to build another temple of her near the bank of the Kusabhadra River. As per local beliefs, this is the temple that was built by that devotee.
Goddess Ramachandi is an incarnation of Goddess Durga, and therefore, festivals like Durga Puja, Dussehra and Kali Puja are celebrated in the temple every year. Another festival known as Sola Puja is also observed at the shrine for 16 days during the Durga Puja.
Architecture of Ramachandi Temple Puri
Ramachandi Temple is built as per the traditional Odisha style of architecture. It is a north facing temple consisting of two parts - one being Vimana and the other being Jagamohana. In front of the Jagamohana, there is an open roof Mandapa. The shrine is made up of bricks, sandstone and laterite. Inside the sanctum, the idol of Goddess Chandi can be seen in a sitting posture over a lotus flower, which is half covered by sand mounds.

Ramchandi beach, the point where river Kushabhadra meets Bay of Bengal. Apart from Devi Ramachandi temple, it a has small patch of Cashew and Casuarina plantation for picnic and parties. A small bazar where you can get utensils and groceries for your picnic in rent. A large vehicle parking area and toilet facilities. Apart from temple, picnic area and the Muhana (estuary) of river Kushabhadra the most amazing part of tgis place is the boating. You can rent a boat and cross the lagoon and reach the sea beach. Winter is the best season for picnic at this place. And during summer you can pay a visit to tgis place to enjoy afternoon boating and sunset. Park, Pavement and various developmental works are going around this place to attract more tourist. A wonderful place for weekend.

Additionally, Raghurajpur is known for its Gotipua dance troupes, which are considered the precursors to the classical Odissi dance form.
The Jagannath temple Puri is an immensely popular pilgrimage destination in India and is often called the spiritual capital of Odisha. The temple is home to one of the most revered deities in Hinduism, Lord Jagannath. Getting blessings from Lord Jagannath during a pilgrimage tour is considered essential for completion.
Corrected grammar:
It is my favorite place. It's impossible to go to the Puri Temple if Lord Jagannath doesn't want. I have visited this place only three times, the first time when I was a kid and the second time, I was unable to see Lord Jagannath properly due to COVID-19. However, on September 1, I realized the power of God Jagannath. It's true that the flag of the temple flies in the opposite direction of the airflow. Additionally, the chakra on the top of the temple looks circular from all directions. The temple casts no shadow. The Maa Laxmi Temple is also wonderful. Taking photos inside the mandir is not allowed. I request that you visit the mandir in the morning or at night, but not during midday as the ground becomes too hot and can damage your legs. However, if you don't eat the Abadha after visiting the Jagannath Temple in Puri, then you are the unluckiest person in the world. Thank you.

The Jagannath Temple is an important Hindu temple dedicated to Jagannath, a form of Krishna, in Puri in the state of Odisha on the eastern coast of India.
Devotees will be allowed to enter the temple from 6 am to 9 pm on all days, except Sunday when it will be closed for sanitisation, said a new order issued by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
If you bring Panda (Priest) of your own he can make you understand the history behind each and every corner of various temples located inside the premises also he can make your que and your Darshan very easy and short. The temple of Lord Shree Jagannatha at Puri is one of the oldest temples of the Hindus; well known all over the world. It is situated on the sacred Mahodadhi (presently known as Bay of Bengal). at latitude 19-19’-17’N and longitude 85-51-’-39’E.
It is the most sacred shrine in India. A vibrant and living temple, it occupies a special place in the religious and cultural history of the State of Odisha. Over the centuries, it has attracted many kings, conquerors, religious teachers, devotees and pilgrims.
According to ‘Skanda Purana’ the sacred ‘Shree Purushottama Kshetra’ is known as the home of Lord Vishnu and the sacred Vigrahas were installed by Swayambhu Brahma.
As per Puranic scripture, King Indradyumna of Malwa, (Central India) a staunch Vaishnavite, constructed a huge temple and installed the four deities with the help of Brahma and other famous saints. It was 1000 cubits high. But the temple collapsed in course of time. It was the foremost temple of Lord Shree Jagannatha. History is silent about the subsequent reforms taken up by the kings in the temple that was originally built by King Indradyumna of Satya yuga. However, descriptions have been made in the Patala Khanda of Padma Purana and Vishnu Purana about the existence of the temple of Bhagawan Purushottama in the said ancient sacred place.
It may be mentioned here that, according to ‘Madala Panji’, it wasYajati Keshari the founder of the Soma Dynasty in Odisha, who built the temple for Purushottama Jagannatha on the site of the present shrine. It was 38 cubits high .
Another tradition attributes the construction of the temple to Anangabhima Deva, the great grandson of Ananta Varman Chodaganga Deva. But it is established from the epigraphical records that it was Chodaganga Deva (1112-1148 A.D) who built the present temple.
The present main temple has four sections, such as Vimana (Sanctum) where in the principal deities are seated on a stone pedestal (known as Ratna Singhashana), Jagamohana (porch), Natamandapa and Bhogamandapa. The temple when originally constructed consisted of a Vimana and a Jagamohana (porch) built in the rekha style and the pidha orders respectively. It is known that the Vimana and the Jagamohana were built in the 12th century and other two viz. Natamandapa and Bhogamandapa were added during the reign of King Purushottama Deva (1461-1495 AD.) and King Prataprudra Deva (1495-1532 AD.) respectively. However, at present, the temple complex of Lord Shree Jagannatha consists of four structures in one axial alignment and faces the east.
The temple of Lord Shree Jagannatha is about 214 feet and 8 inches high from the road level. The entire temple premises are enclosed by two big concentric walls. The outer wall is known as ‘Meghanada Prachira’ (665 ft. x 640 ft.) and the inner wall is known as ‘Kurma Prachira’ (420 ft. x 315 ft.). The height of the outer walls varies from 20ft. to 24ft. There are four gates in the outer enclosure. The eastern entrance is known as ‘Singha Dwara’ or the Lion’s gate. The entrances on the southern, western and northern sides of the outer enclosure are known as ‘Aswadwara’ (South gate), ‘Vyaghra Dwara’ (West gate) and ‘Hastidwara’ (North gate) respectively. Hundreds of subsidiary shrines and Mandapas (elevated platforms) ) are there inside the temple premises, , Two Gardens namely ‘Koili Baikuntha’ and ‘Nilachala Upabana’, seven wells, Ananda Bazara, the Kitchen and the Holy banyan tree (Kalpabata) are also there inside temple premises.

While Golden Beach shares the same sand and water as other nearby beaches, there is a distinct difference that only true beach lovers will appreciate. The unique energy and atmosphere of Golden Beach set it apart, making it an ideal spot for socializing, people-watching, or simply taking in the natural beauty.
In conclusion, Golden Beach in Puri is a must-visit destination for those who enjoy a lively and bustling beach environment. Its scenic views, combined with the refreshing evening breeze, make it an excellent place to spend an afternoon or evening. Though it may be crowded at times, the overall experience of Golden Beach is well worth the visit for anyone seeking a memorable beach outing.

It is on the shore of the Bay of Bengal. It is known for being a tourist attraction and a Hindu sacred place. The beach is the site of the annual Puri Beach Festival, which is co-sponsored by the Indian Ministry of Tourism, the city of Odisha, the Development Commissioner of Handicrafts, and the Eastern Zonal Cultural Center, Kolkata. The beach hosts sand art displays, including work by international award-winning local sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik.

The Golden Beach is the most popular beach in Puri and also the heaven for most of the Bengali people and you can clearly find out why after visiting this beach. Almost 80 percent of the people who come to this beach and take bath are from the state of West Bengal. There are varieties of sea food stalls, sea shell ornaments stalls situated on the beach. Also, facilities like camel ride, merry go round are also there.

Puri Golden Beach is a gem nestled along the picturesque coastline of Puri, Odisha. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed with its tranquil ambiance and warm hospitality.
The first thing that struck me was the breathtaking view of the Bay of Bengal from the resort. The rooms are strategically designed to offer panoramic vistas, allowing guests to wake up to the soothing sound of waves and the sight of the golden sands. The accommodation was not only spacious but also exuded a sense of comfort and luxury.
The resort's dining options were a delightful surprise. The on-site restaurant served an array of delectable dishes, both local and international, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The seafood offerings were a highlight, showcasing the region's culinary prowess.
The staff at Puri Golden Beach were exceptionally attentive and courteous. From the moment of arrival to departure, they went out of their way to ensure a seamless and enjoyable stay. Their local knowledge and willingness to assist with any queries added a personal touch to the experience.
The amenities offered were impressive, catering to both relaxation and recreation. The spa facilities were top-notch, offering a range of rejuvenating treatments. Additionally, the well-maintained pool and beach access provided ample opportunities for leisurely strolls and water-based activities.

Golden Beach in Puri is truly a gem that mirrors international standards. The cleanliness is impeccable, creating a cool and peaceful atmosphere. The well-placed rest areas provide a perfect vantage point to savor the mesmerizing waves.
The entry fee is reasonable at 20, and the option to include clean water bathing and changing facilities for 50 enhances the overall experience. The availability of normal water bathing facilities post-sea beach dip adds convenience.
Safety is a top priority, evident by the numerous lifeguards and a protective chain-like boundary that prevents swimmers from venturing too deep. This makes it an ideal spot for individuals of all ages.
Couples, both married and unmarried, will find Golden Beach enchanting, and older individuals seeking a tranquil retreat will appreciate the peaceful ambiance. The complimentary water facilities and the caution to bring soap for post-sea bath cleanliness are thoughtful touches.
Golden Beach isn't just a place; it's an experience, combining safety, cleanliness, and natural beauty to create a haven by the sea.

We were in room no 206 which is a four bedded room. It was quite big. The housekeeping staff were quite prompt. Everyday mopping of floors were done. Washrooms were cleaned on every 3rd day. Bed linens were changed on every 3rd day.
Room no 209 was a double bed room , very gloomy. The keep up of hotel needs to be done. Reception is quite lazy. Kitchen is outsourced , hence quality of food and service is poor. Billing of food were either less or more. We had to keenly check it every day. Would not want to stay next time.

I stayed in this hotel when I visited Puri last December, 2023. Room is good, clean, bathroom is fine. Water continuously available. Location is also good. Service is excellent. I mistakenly ledt some personal belongings in the room and came back to Kolkata. With utmost care, they took the responsibility and handed over me those things in their Kolkata head office after few days. I am really impressed. I stayed with my family during my visit and will suggest to stay here and enjoy who are looking for midrange price.

The worst experience I have ever come accross in a tour. Showed some good photos and given 500/- worth room . A bad smell comes from each room. Not even maintained a single furniture, fridge is kept which is of no use and foul smell coming out of it. Bed is broken . Moreover the owner doesn't even know who is checking in and out. Worst. Taken 1 day adv and dint even bother to respond when we given feedback abt our stay. Lost that adv and checked out immediately. Never ever go to Hotel Konark at Swargadwar lane in Puri.

One of the oldest temple of odisha with extraordinary sculpture skills and inscriptions mounted on the temple and it's surrounding.
Stays a lot crowded during occasions but for better puja and darshan I recommend you to go at unseason days just like now.
Also to reach the temple you need to take a ticket for the bus specially arranged for the devotees by govt.it only costs 30 .

This place is very nice. But natural beauty is ruined by government to making road and amusement. Making tourist places more attractive is good but not at the cost of nature.

The temple is located at a very beautiful and scenic hill top. The roads leading to the temple are also very beautiful, but unfortunately you can't drive your own vehicle. They provide bus service to the hill top. The view from the top is amazing.
The temple looks very beautiful and elegant. The premises inside the temple are neat and clean, but can be improved. You can take good photographs from the top of the view point. Also there is a rope way which is connecting to the bottom to the top of the temple you can use it to go to the temples as well
Be aware of the monkeys as they will snatch your Prasad or food, but you can buy some roasted chanas.

When I visited the temple was under construction and it is definitely going a to be beautiful place once everything is completely.
1. Newly constructed temple is good and the view of surrounding is also good.
2. You can enjoy the view of Rushikulya river from the top.
3. There are lots of places you will find like this in Odisha and this is one of them. May be the best time to visit is evening or morning time.
4. Private vehicles are not allowed so you have to buy bus ticket from the bottom at entry gate . At the bottom you have to park your vehicle.
5. It is just 5 min journey so don't worry if you are not getting any seat in the bus .

It is a satipith, situated on the top of the hill. There is ropeway system and climbing system by stairs is also available. Mandir premises is newly constructed.
Tania Dey — Google review
The temple to go through bus(govt) charges 15 or 20 per person (recommended). For Ropeway 60/- (4 carriage and each 4 person can seat). But absolute worst is charging to enter the temple. And even to meet the goddess to be near u have to be pay 200/-(per person even children )to priest(Are nothing but blood sucker). After that the coconut u brought have to be given to god that also they charges 10/-. And also be aware of parking near ropeway entry ask the near person about the charges. They will not show themselves at first but during leaving will argue u about fees (but there is no parking facility there).
So to sum it up this don't go if u are thinking of prayer there, it will mean not a thing but its upto u. For 1 time go and experience its ok but for prayer its not worth due to those weird money taking at every point.

Have to reach the top through ropeway which is amazing. The ropeway goes slow so it feels good to watch the nature around. We went in August, yet it was very hot to even walk in the temple. Choose the right weather to visit this place bcz it is located on top and can get blisters on your foot. Rest the architecture and beauty of the temple is beyond imagination. Must visit

Situated on the top of a hill, this shakti peeth of Odisha is at a serene location. General people have to walk nearly a thousand steps to the temple or go to the temple by the rope way. Only the locals, police and the people of the temple can go by the road that has been
made by carving the hill.

The temple has been given a face lift. The ambience has always been great. But I am not too pleased with the cleanliness of the surroundings . The bus service, though I appreciate the idea of running them to and fro the temple, thus avoiding the over crowded premises with lots of vehicles. But there was a rush while returning to the toe of the hill. There was no queue, no body to look after the chaos. I don't know if that has only happened on that day or not.

Overall a good temple. Good that no private vehicles allowed on top. It would be very difficult in summer at the top as no trees are there. What I did not like is the temple pujaries are money minded and demanding money at every point. One snatched the money from me while I was making a contribution to the Hundi. Government body as well as the temple administration should take some action about it. Else no one visit again. One suggestion to limit local venders also till foot hill. Lot of garbage may be because of them.

Gopalpur is amongst the popular beaches in Orissa. Gopalpur-on-Sea is a beautiful and small beach resort located along the Bay of Bengal in the eastern Indian state of Orissa.
Originally it is a small fishing village on the coast of Orissa, it was so named when a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna was constructed some time in the 18th century. Apart from its temple, Gopalpur was distinguished for its magnificent beach and was discovered as a perfect winter resort. Soon hotels and guesthouses lined its seafront. The East India Company built huge warehouses and godowns because the trade with Burma had picked up and Gopalpur had become a trading point for rice from Rangoon. In those days, there were dances and parties that continued until the early hours and wealthy Bengalis from Calcutta made it their holiday home. Till Today Gopalpur is amongst the popular beaches in Orissa.
Gopalpur's importance dwindled when trade with Burma abruptly ceased during the war and never revived again. When the British left India, even members of rich Bengali homes preferred to holiday in other places and Gopalpur reverted to what it originally was, a fishing village.
With an increase in tourist trade in the late seventies, and the opening of luxury hotels, a slow revival began and today Gopalpur-On-Sea is one of the foremost beach resorts in India. Though now there are many popukar beaches in Orissa.
Gopalpur is a bewitching seaside resort and there can be no better option than to enjoy the sun, sea, and sand. Walk around the beach, collect shells and first-sized peal-white conch, and remember all the beautiful moments of your life. One may not be able to do it again......♥️
Chilka Lake is situated at a distance of 45 km from Gopalpur. Spreading over an area of 1100 sq km, this is the largest brackish water lake in the country and attracts large number of migratory birds.
Taptapani (hot water), as the name suggests, is a hot water sulfur spring situated around 67 km from Gopalpur....

Very nice place. The beach is not too long but well maintained. There are many hotels on the beach, most of them are old properties. It’s a neat and clean beach and the plus point this if you are coming in early morning time before 9 am you can park your car near the beach (main view point) no need to park on the left side of parking place and have to walk till the main point .
As we went early morning so it was peaceful with no crowd .

Well, it's a nice place, by the road so you can visit it on your way around. A space is provided for the people to bathe in the hot water next to the temple. The water keeps coming up from a vent, you can view it. So you can say it is a tourist spot, with some shops by the road.
Darshan Borgohain — Google review
The hot water from the natural spring of Taptapani is attributed to medicinal properties and can be bathed in at the pond created next to the hot spring. The hot spring is situated at the eastern slope of the eastern ghat at the crest of the hill within the lush green forest having a wide range of flora and fauna.

A getaway place from Bramhapur. The hot water from the spring never stops and its not artificially heated. Take a bath here to get rid of skin problems (as people say). Bath facilities available for ladies as well. A few shops present nearby if you want to snack and offer your prayings to the holy water. Public bath available nearby.

The Srikurmam temple is a hidden gem, radiating spiritual charm with its unique deity, Kurmanatha. Nestled amid scenic landscapes, the temple exudes an ancient aura. The intricate architecture and detailed carvings reflect the rich cultural heritage. Devotees praise the serene ambiance, enhancing the meditative experience. The rituals, especially the daily 'Abhishekam,' contribute to the sanctity of the place. However, limited amenities might be a consideration for some visitors. Overall, Srikurmam temple offers a peaceful retreat for those seeking a blend of cultural exploration and spiritual rejuvenation.

Here are better arrangements to be done to house all these turtles. In fact after a few years, they will become sick. No exercise for swimming. They feed only small pockets of cooked rice.
They will forget swimming and eating their natural food.

Please one of the powerful temples in Rajahmundry. The dirty Shri Shri Shri Satyanarayan Swami dwells on the hill top. You can have a beautiful view of the entire City from the hilltop. You can reach the top of the hill either through a vehicle on a Ghat road alternately you can choose to climb the well laid steps.
If you choose them vehicle to reach they will talk you need to walk only a few steps.
Independent upon the rush of devotees, you can either have general Darshan in case your in a Hari you can buy special tickets for Rs 200. Even on weekends when the duty is marginally high they darshan of the God can be completed in a couple of hours.
Of course if you want to do any special pooja or Vrata, the ticket charges be higher at Rs.300 and also the time for the Vrata will be longer.

Since the temple is on the national highway road is excellent and the accessibility objective is very comfortable.

The Aasavwlli Suryanarayana Temple sounds like a well-organized and maintained place of worship. It's great to hear that the queue for darshan is managed efficiently and that the surroundings are clean and tidy. However, it's essential to address concerns about limited parking space, especially for those with walking difficulties during their pilgrimage. Expanding or improving parking facilities could enhance the overall experience for visitors.
