Lake Danao
Lake
Nature & Parks

Tranquil place with pedal-boat rentals, tree-shaded grassy areas & a scenic islet in the lake.
In a short of time I enjoy this attractive place.
Grace Mesa — Google review
I have to give this a 5 star just for the view alone. I've seen this place develop into a beautiful hangout, with additions of restaurants and different activities. Their water activities and zipline are must tries. 😁
Goldee Mabulay — Google review
Lake Danao Park was undoubtedly the highlight of my vacation on Camotes Island! The park gives out a relaxed atmosphere with a abundant shade from numerous trees to shield you from the sun's heat, and the refreshing breeze adds to the charm. The park's vastness and the size of the lake were impressive.
Upon arrival, we were the only visitors, affordable entrance fee, and the staff there were friendly. Inside the park, there are foods, but we only bought Buko Juice and Salvaro. I also encountered the most adorable dog here.
Originally, we had only planned to enjoy the scenic beauty of Lake Danao, but our excitement soared when we discovered the pedal boats on the lake. The pedal boat only cost 50 pesos per person. This allowed us to truly experience the lake, rather than merely observing it. There was also a lengthy zipline that stretched across the lake, but we were on a budget so we decided not to.
Our time at Lake Danao Park was genuinely enjoyable. If you're planning a visit to Camotes Island, be sure to include this park in your gaals! I highly recommend it.

We came here early do it was free. The environment was so clean. You can even enjoy Kayak here. Nice place to relax

local tourism office is not quite organized in this place. not sure how they organize the rides. very limited acrivities.
1. rent a pedal boat
2. zipline (did not try it)
3. horse riding for kids
4. watching those macaques and pythons (monkey, snake)
then that is it. not much to see.

Ideal for family's getaway adventure.

Suggest to try their Zipline because you will be able to see the vast view of the lake. But I do hope they will expand it more and put more activities in the place. You can rent a boat for a round tour in the lake. Affordable entrance fee.
ᴡ ᴀ ᴠ ᴇ ᴄ ʜ。 — Google review
The place offers a lot of outdoor activities from water sports like kayaking, boat tour and they have also zipline, horse backriding and a souvinier shop. The place is perfect for instagrammable shots and the space so huge. The lake view is awesome you can see the entire view if you are in ziplining.
For more epic vibes you may watch my vlogs on my channel at Jill Travenner.

If you want to chill and just be close with nature, Lake Danao is a great choice to go. There's a lot of activities you can do in the place such as Zip line across the other side of the lake for 250Php(rates may change), Kayaking, Pedal boat for two or four people. It was not commercialized tho but you could actually have fish spa with the fishes at the side of the lake. There were also some birds in the place. And if your famished with all the activities there's also a lot of available restau in the place for an affordable price
Franco — Google review
I love the place! You can do all kinds of water activities (kayaking) for as low as Php 50! They also have zipline (Php 200) where it takes you to the other side of the lake! They also serve food. This place is very relaxing. Definitely will go back if I visit the Islands again.

A great place to reconnect with nature. Floating cottages and kayaks are very nice to ride. You can order food, water, etc from the nearby shops outside.

Picturesque attraction. Boats, kayaks, zip line and other recreational amenities surround the lake.
Kalanggaman Island is a small island known for its beautiful sandbar and crystal-clear turquoise waters. However, there are several areas that require improvement to enhance the overall experience of visitors. The management needs to address issues such as inadequate lighting throughout the island, particularly in comfort rooms, grilling stations, and cottages. Additionally, maintenance should be improved despite being recently opened for overnight stays.
Wow! Just wow! The sandbar was awesome and so picturesque. If you visit malapascua island, make sure to book a tour for kalanggaman island. You can ask your hotel or ask the local tour guides there. They are very polite and very helpful. We booked ours for only Php1600 per head inclusive of lunch.
Warren Berdin — Google review
I really wanted to visit this island as it looks so cool, but when I went there the sand bank wasn’t really visible and there were so many people there that it wasn’t really enjoyable. The diving around the island was amazing though.
Eva Megli? — Google review
Better go there earlier in the morning when it's low tide so that you can walk in the sand bar in the eastern part. Else if you arrive around lunchtime, go to the West side of Kalangggaman if you want an uncrowded beach area. Kayak 200 pesos per 1 hr. 🫶
Erika Babuyo — Google review
I love this Place. Kalanggaman needs improvement in so many things.
The management should improve the lighting in the whole Island, there are only 2 major Solar lights!
No lights in the Comfort Rooms, Grilling Stations and Cottages, also, it is not well maintained.
I know they just opened the island for overnight stay, though they should have been prepared with all the things i mentioned.
Amidst all the things that needs improvement, Kalanggaman is still close to my heart. I hope you'll take good care of it and hoping for the betterment.
Eva Mae Urboda — Google review
Went there with friends and stayed overnight on May 29, 2022, Sunday. Almost all of the huts were occupied which was not common for a Sunday but I guess a lot of people missed travelling, and that was fine.
From the port in Palompon, it took us an hour to reach the island.
Note that the sandbar which I think is the highlight of the visit to this island is (of course) subject to the rising tide. Our tour guide missed to remind us of this but it's a good thing that we already took photos of the feature at around 4pm when we arrived. It was nowhere to be seen the following morning.
We opted for a tour package with buffet dinner and breakfast. It was a good choice.
Huts were open but for the night, you are expected to sleep inside tents. As for me, I preferred sleeping on a beach bed which I rented. It was breezy and was not raining anyway.
Clean water is limited so expect some difficulty in bathing or using the toilet. There is also no electricity in the island except for some solar-powered lights.
If you are the type who enjoys the outdoors and fine with not being pampered with comfort, the experience should be great. As for me, I just wish the locals and the tourists take better care of the place. Have seen some garbage near the shore. Mostly fallen dried leaves, but have also seen poorly disposed face mask, plastics etc. which was a shame.
Edberg Garduce — Google review
The island is amazing and beautiful so hopefully, people will be more mindful of their trash. When we went there, I can see plastic cups lying around the shore and will eventually be in the water itself. The washroom/bathroom needs improvement as well. Or maybe, people will have to practice more on how to be considerate when using public toilet. Always maintain cleanliness, guys.
I thought that they also limit visitors daily to avoid overcrowding the island and to easily control and maintain clealiness. I don't think it was practiced the last time I went there which was last year. So, maybe they are implementing it now, hopefully.
Let's all preserve the cleanliness and beauty of the place so we can always revisit it in the future.
Mae Lyka — Google review
Beauty of an island, the reason for 3 stars is because they ask environmental fee of 1000 pesos for foriegners which is insane, this is the only island in all of Philippines that asks for so much money. Otherwise the place is beautiful

My 2nd time to visit.During our 1st visit there were no cottages. Now it has a lot of cottages .The shores is still perfect.Every visit is always worth it.This place is one of heaven on earth place.

The island is perfect!!! You can stay for the night. Just make sure you have everything you need. The whole island is just beautiful.
Gulliette Aguja — Google review
Perhaps I was just expecting too much but I was a bit disappointed when I finally visited the island.
It was very busy and crowded. Whoever maintains the island cut down the grass so it didn't look natural and lush. Don't get me wrong, the island was stunning but I prefer it to be in its natural state.
Onil Marte Navarroza — Google review
A nice survival sim where you have to bring your own water and food. After swimming in the ocean, you then go to a deep well and pump your darndest so you can rinse off in the same seawater you were in all day. Good times.
Kevin Avila — Google review
Incredibly white beach sand bar! And crystal clear waters! I think it would be better to visit during the weekdays to avoid a lot of people.
Thrisia — Google review
Kalanggaman Island has been recognized by Lonely Planet as one of the most picturesque islands in the Philippines. Kalanggaman Island is mostly flat, with a coastline marked by white sandy beaches. It's sandbar extends to the west of the island, the length of which changes depending on the season and the tide.
Kalanggaman Island serves as a breeding ground for sea turtles and manta rays. It is also home to diverse marine life due to the surrounding coral reefs, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and scuba diving.
In 2018, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources raised concerns about the volume of tourist traffic in Kalanggaman, due to the possible environmental impacts it could have on the island's natural habitats.
Raphael Navarro — Google review
Incredible island and beautifully well kept by locals, definitely recommend a boat trip here. Clearest water I’ve ever seen, make sure you walk to both ends of the island. The end where the boats don’t go is a great spot for snorkelling.
Saffi Johnson-Bright — Google review
The beach itself is great. White sand, clear water and a pretty long sandbar.
Now the bad part: washrooms/toilets are filthy. No showers to at least wash off after a swim. There are no working faucets. Be prepared to pay for everything. I understand paying for the boat ride but paying extra because you're not a resident of the area and paying again to access the beach upon arrival is just a money grab as the amenities are filthy and almost unusable. Also you have to pay to use a small cottage even for a short time. You even have to pay to use a plastic chair! Will I return or recommend this place? NO! Not until they address the washroom issues and revamp the fees. There are a lot of islands to visit until then.
Michael Astorga — Google review
We camped overnight. While it is rustic, it was a great experience. The island is beautiful, it was super quiet during our time there, friendly staff all around, and great experience with local kids. We had a ton of fun.
No real food option on the island though, so come prepared. You can rent the tent on site, or rent it in Palompon.
Franck Le Lac — Google review
Very very Beautiful island!!! Stayed at Malapascua Island for the weekend and then took the Kalanggaman day tour on my last day. The water was amazingly blue, the locals and staff were very kind, the sand was like powder. Super Peaceful environment. Felt like paradise!! 10/10

Bounty Beach is a public beach located on the southern part of an island. The beach is lined with various amenities including hotels, restaurants, dive shops and masseuses. However, it should be noted that Bounty Beach itself is not a hotel but rather a stretch of pale sand that offers great opportunities to watch the sunrise or go for a run. Swimming can be risky due to the presence of boats in the bay. Visitors should also beware of ropes used to tie boats across pathways.
Nice beach to sitting around while wacthing the sunrise and better place to run but must need to watch on every steps to avoid stumbled because there's a lot of rope boats tied across the pathways. And also it was fun running around due to the local dogs was run or played with you.🌞☺🙈🏃🌴🏝
BDW, bounty beach is not Hotel, It's a public beach✌

Who even added bounty beach as a hotel? It is a public beach that stretches far about south of the island. Nice beach though there could be little sharp rocks but overall it's good.

Sandira Beach is a secluded paid-access beach that can be reached through a dirt track. The sand here is fine and white, and the water is generally calm, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling. Despite its beauty, there are not many visitors to this beach. However, one issue that needs attention is the presence of malnourished dogs in the area who require immediate aid. Visitors are advised to bring extra food and water for them during their stay at Sandira Beach.
I’d rate Sandira Beach 10/10. You won’t worry if you decide to swim with your barefoot as the sea is as clear as a still water. You can literally see the tiny fishes underneath. It’s def a beach that I’d always come back to. 🫶🏻
Jessa Arrogante — Google review
When we visited this place, it was at noon and high tide. The umbrellas are not properly installed. I love the view but I felt bad for dogs, there are no lots of visitors here. They are malnourished and definitely need some water and food.
I suggest to bring extra food and water here for the dogs.
Venus Cosep — Google review
This is by far the best beach I've visited in Sta. Fe. Clear white sand, very nice cold water, and insta-worthy scenery for your pictures. Just one thing, the road is going to the beach is very difficult and rocky. But nonetheless, it's a must visit beach.
Almario Brigoli — Google review
Sandira Beach/Paradise Beach is a relatively small beach that’s quiet, clean, and less crowded compared to the other popular spots in Santa Fe. There’s one small stall near the entrance where you can buy some drinks and snacks, but other than that there are no other facilities. Bring a picnic blanket, water, and some food of your own if you plan to stay for long.
The beach itself is a couple of kilometers away from the town center so we recommend renting a motorbike or have a tricycle drop you there. Also keep in mind that as of June 2023, the entrance fee per adult person is now P70. P30 for young children.
Jonah Kayguan — Google review
25 peso per person entry. It’s set on volcanic rock so it’s safer to park a motorbike about 100m from the beach. On arrival there is a shack selling cold beers and refreshments. Then a short walk through an open field area complete with grazing cows, also scattered with volcanic rock, where you can see the sea, and use some steps that descend straight into the water Or walk a little ditto to find a small stretch of white sand beach. The water is shallow but enough for a short swim, as it gets rocky or seaweed quickly. It’s a pretty setting by small volcanic rock formations , and there is a small amount of shade in the few rock formations next to the beach. It would make a pretty place for a resort on day.

The sea is so calm. Amazing view and crystal clear water. Fine white sand beach. Its a must visit place when you go to Bantayan Island.
Marjorey Gonzales — Google review
A Tranquil Escape at Sandira Beach! During my visit to Bantayan Island last year, we decided to make a quick stop at Sandira Beach for a refreshing dip. Having been to this place a couple of times before, I can confidently say that it remains one of the best options for those seeking a slightly secluded beach experience away from the mainstream tourist spots. While there are certainly more hidden beaches in Bantayan, we specifically chose Sandira Beach for a photoshoot. However, it's important to note that during our walk along the shore, we did encounter some trash and potentially hazardous items that I won't elaborate on here. Nevertheless, overall, our experience was fantastic, with the serene atmosphere and beautiful surroundings making it a worthwhile visit
Stevensonnet Art — Google review
The area features a white sand beach and great spots for snorkeling. From the main highway you will access it through a dirt road and will be greeted with lush greeneries. It’s best to visit this in morning and on non-peak days as it can get crowded easily.

Hands down the best beach in Bantayan. Water is still and crystal clear. White sand. Beautiful sunset view. However, there are no cottages/umbrellas as they were destroyed during the typhoon, so bring your own or just find shade behind the rocks or bangkas like we did. Lol

Easily my favourite beach on Bantayan! 70php to get in but almost empty and just beautiful. Such nice water with so little in it except Starfish. Heaven!
Nothing in terms of services here so take your own food and drink.

We visited during weekdays, so we enjoyed the place all to ourselves and the stray dogs. Note that there is no cottage available as it was destroyed from the last typhoon. Entrance fee per peron is 75pesos

Relaxing view with pristine water, awesome rock formations and the thin layer of clouds scattered at the sky makes it perfect to capture instagrammable pics. A great place to spend quality time with family and friends. I had fun riding a motorcycle while passing through the rocky and narrow road going to the private property.

I didn't pay the entrance fee because I checked in at Santa Fe Beach Club. This beach is very beautiful and clean. I felt it is safe for solo travellers. The sand is very fine and white, it didn't hurt my feet at all. It's a very quiet and chill place!
Mencie Brillante — Google review
It is so cloudy when we went here but the beach still looks beautiful 🏖️😍. In my opinion, this is the best beach in Bantayan. My only request/suggestion to the owner is to educate all those who are entering not to leave any trash and put a fine if needed. Im seeing empty bottles, cigarretes, etc.
Little island popular for beach swimming, snorkeling & cliff diving, plus cottages & other lodging.
We almost owned the island when we visited here. Had a great time to be with the sun, sand, and the beach with us.🌊💜

MY FAVOURITE PLACE OF ALL IN MY ENTIRE VACATION IN CEBU ❤️❤️ the sand are soooo white and clean! The place is not that crowded. There are lots of activities to do there like beach volleyball, kayaking, snorkeling, etc. Plus life vests can be used for FREE! The seabed is not full of rocks so it's not slippery. They also have clean comfort rooms. They have a restaurant there and to my surprise its affordable and delicious! It's just the ambiance that I don't like cause its full of flies. But overall, we will definitely go back here! 👍🏻❤️

A must visit when in Bantayan. Accessible by rental boats from Bantayan Island. Entrance fees are as posted in the pictures and are actually reasonable (Php 200 for adults). Wrist bands will be issued upon admission. Admission staff are not so friendly, but lifeguards are. Lifeguards are everywhere and are very helpful. Island is privately owned and maintained hence the good services and general set-up of the place. There's a cliff diving spot some 10mins walk from the main activity area. If you want some little seclusion there's another coastline near the cliff diving area. They seem to also have a restaurant but haven't tried since we bought with us our food. There's overnight accommodation available and they are also quite reasonable in price. Will definitely go back and try their overnight accommodation and experience for myself. All in all Sillon Island, or Virgin Island as they advertise it, is a very safe place to be. During summer months be watchful of jellyfish though, they're quite painful if you happen to encounter one.

One word.... WOW. amazing island view, very beautiful shoreline, rock formation, cliff diving and many more. A 5 star place indeed. A little pricey on the food and beverage but still worth it. Very friendly local. Thay have floating huts and bamboo board. Enjoy swimming in the crystal clear water and very white powdery sand. Cheers

I was a bit wary before coming here due to the mixed re views but I did enjoy it. It has a couple of beautiful beaches. Great for swimming. The snorkelling wasn't up to much but there was a couple of fish floating around. Price for drinks/food wasn't too bad. Cost for hiring the cabanas was too much so we didn't bother and just found a shaded spot on the beach. It's quite a little tourist trap but on saying that it was quite clean and pretty compared to some of the beaches on bantayan island. Would recommend for a day out.

Boat trip to spot & snorkel with whale sharks, accompanied by an expert guide to local marine life.
They have everything that you'll need: fins, snorkel, vest and a travel guide (Called Butanding Interaction Officer) It was a really fun experience being able to see the whale sharks upclose. They're so big and beautiful. Swimming and diving skills are not required but knowing how-to would make your experience so much better. I highly recommend this experience.

An unforgettable experience, we saw 3 whale sharks, swam with one and saw 2 sperm whales! We never would've spotted these amazing creatures if it wasn't for the amazing boat team, who know the sea very very well.
The staff was incredibly nice, making sure we were happy and were excited for us when we came back with this amazing sighting 😍
I would definitely recommend taking a tour with them when in Donsol!!

This is my 2nd time here and the experience is still magical. Best of all, the local guides make sure that the interaction is within the ethical guidelines. This is ecotourism done right! They genuinely care for these gentle giants.
The guides are very helpful and can even guide those who aren't good swimmers. They do their best so we have the best experience. Leave them a tip if you can.
I've been to the other place in the Philippines where you also find whale sharks but Donsol is more ethical and the whale sharks are in the wild, feeding in their natural habitat. I highly recommend this experience in Donsol.

Blessed to have met 11 Whale Sharks when I visited Donsol! After countless dives and encounters all around the world, am humbled to say that this has become one of my favorite experiences so far. ☝🏻✨ Let this be a reminder though to follow protocols to keep this eco-attraction sustainable and ethical. Let’s ensure that whalesharks can continue to seek refuge and that communities can continue to benefit for many years to come!
Donsol has maintained an effective interaction system that not only ensures the safety of the visitors, but the wellbeing of the animals as well.
Tips and Protocols:
✨ Promote passive encounters:
-Do not touch/ ride the creatures
-Do not block their path
-Maintain at least a 4m distance
-No flash photography
-Limit interaction time
✨ Use reef safe sunblock
✨ Do not wear/bring items that could fall off during the dive
I highly recommend this experience! Come visit and support those who have dedicated their lives to protecting these creatures. This is a privilege and a RESPONSIBILITY— be true stewards to these creatures so we can continue to be blessed by their presence! 🥺💙

Amazing experience. Main attraction in Donsol. Paid around 2100 pesos for 2 sharing with 4 others for 3 hours searching for whale sharks. We got to see only one and briefly swim beside it. If you are lucky and your crew spots it first you may have more time to swim before other boats get to you.

Fantastic place👍 Everything is well organized. Registration. Payment: 5100 PHP per boat good for 6 (850 per person) + 300 php environmental fee per person. Then orientation video (do’s and don’ts) and finally embarking for the adventure 😃. Whale sharks interaction is something one may never forget. We will definitely come back to experience it.

Wow! It was amazing! We saw the whale shark twice. We spent two hours of waiting in the sea but after that it appeared. I saw the bigger part of its body and a tail. Then, we saw the second one. The whale shark swims quickly and you need to keep distance. Highly recommend 👍
Ekaterina Lepeshkina — Google review
Top. Simply walk inside ask if there are enough people to share a boat. If yes you get the cheapest price for the tour. Most of the time there are other people there willing to join a boat . Pay the environmental fee only once ! Not every day.

Donsol's whale shark experience in Sorsogon is truly awe-inspiring. Swimming alongside these gentle giants is an unforgettable adventure that showcases the beauty of marine life. Hussain In Philippines — Google review
We went to see whale sharks as early as 7.30am. It's supposed to be peak season in March, but unfortunately we didn't see one single shark. Apparently the day before the same BIO spotted 5 sharks. I'm not disappointed by that as we already expected that we might not see them, however, I think they could really improve the predictions and the way it's handled or what they offer. No one here is very clear or honest about the best conditions, like the phase of the moon, the tide, what time is best for that specific day. Is the weather good enough to spot them or are there too many waves, too many clouds. It's all very speculative and they are not honest about the real chances. The boat is quite expensive and obviously you don't get the money back, but at least I'd be happy to know the chances of actually being able to see one so that you don't spend your money for nothing and maybe even wait a day or two to go out and try on better conditions. Or they could propose to come back in the afternoon if after one hour they didn't spot any whale sharks or if the weather conditions are not the right ones.
Also there is an environmental fee of P300 per person plus the rental of fins or life jackets for children. It's a very high cost and we didn't even get to swim at all. We saw a lot of dolphins in the distance, maybe they could combine the tour with dolphin sighting and get closer to them if the whale shark didn't show. Or stop the boat at times for a short swim and look at one spot rather than moving around the area for 3 hours without stopping. Just try to offer the expensive paying customer something to ease off the disappointment of not seeing a whale shark.
Also binoculars for the spotters would be a great idea or radios in order to communicate with the other boats.
I like that they do it the proper way without feeding them but they could at least be honest to the paying tourists and offer something in return for not seeing a whale shark nor being able to swim and basically renting fins for nothing.
Also, kids below a certain age clearly shouldn't count as 1 especially if they can't swim yet and life jackets should be included in the price.

Wow!!!! I had very little to no expectations of seeing a Butanding (whale shark) as it's the very end of the season and there's a tropical storm warning as well... yet, I took a chance as seeing one in their natural environment and not in chummed water has been forever on my bucket list. My group was blessed to see two!!!! They are extraordinary, ginormous, gentle Giants of the sea and I just can't explain how it felt to actually see them for the first time swimming. Unbelievable, breath taking, awe inspiring...
The crew was very upfront about the chances as well as the cost and it being non refundable. What's so nice about this is that it's eco tourism and natural. They set strict limits on how close you can get and how much time you can spend with the Butanding. They don't chum the waters, which I absolutely 🤙🏽🙏🏽👏🏾.
It costs 5000P to go out, split between up to 6 people. I had a group of three so it was a bit costly, but soooo worth it. I will never forget that moment!
There are other activities like taking a boat into the mangroves and seeing fireflies, but most people come to Donsol to see Whale Sharks. If you get the chance to come here and you enjoy and respect nature, this is a must do in the Philippines! Maraming salamat to the crew and the tourism office!

Attractive, wildlife preserved activity for family, friends and diver who love to encounter with whale shark. You can rent fin, mask and snorkeling here. Be ready to be on spider boat in 3 hours, jump many times and swim a bit quick to spot whale shark. With no luck , sometime you may not see it.

The Cagsawa Ruins is a popular tourist destination that showcases the tower of a 16th-century Franciscan church with stunning views of the Mayon Volcano. There is limited parking available inside, but pay parking can be found outside. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as ATV riding and purchase souvenirs and food from stalls inside and outside the gate. Although there are gazebos and tree cover, visitors are advised to bring umbrellas in case of rain or sun exposure.
A must stop for some photos. You can ask some local who offers photo shoots using your own phone. You just need to give a tip and you won't regret it.

A must visit place in Albay with its magnificent view of Mayon Volcano. It was really a jaw-dropping experience to witness the historical ruins of Cagsawa. It's a perfect place to spend you vacation with your family. The ATV experience is also great. Just make sure to check the weather first to avoid cloudy skies.

There are better places in Albay. This place could be better.
Personnel are kind and accommodating.
There's a resto which serves spicy ice cream. Interesting.
Hope they reserve a spot where people could line up for the best Mayon and Tower photo possible because people are standing everywhere.

Historical landmark in Albay for its perfect cone. This is the first place to go for me before you go to anywhere spots in Albay for you to get perfect spot and view. They have also parking and restaurant to offer foods coming from long trips. from the back of the ruins they have also garden where you can buy plants and flowers. You don't have to worry for the parking. you can park in pasalubong area, and park also in front of ruins (limited). And try their sili flavored ice cream.

Fascinating to know the history behind the ruins and the remaining bell tower of the church. The place is quite serene but no shades could be found. It is atill quite humid there so bring an umbrella. We also eat there and it is quite delicious for a reasonable price.

Gorgeous place! Sad to see how this church got destroyed due to a volcano eruption. It’s great that they managed to preserve some parts. They should think of a solution for all the lingering garbage around though. It’s taking away the charm of the place

It is best to visit the place during weekdays. There's a lot of people during holidays. It has a nice view of the Mt. Mayon, but there are days where you can't really see the Mt. Mayon, even if it's a sunny day.

Remnants of Cagsawa church lies on this area. Only the bell tower is still standing (approximately 30ft high?) but visitors are not allowed to go inside as it may collapse.
There is so much history and beauty here.
I was most captured by the huge, smooth and beautiful lava rock which lies in front of the church.

Definitely a must visit when in Albay! Go there early to avoid crowds. And if you are lucky, you can get a full view of the beautiful Mayon!

There's an admission charge of 20 PHP for the site. The foundations of the church are visible. Because of the heavy overnight downpour, the sections looked like ponds. The tower ruins is a stark reminder of the great eruptions in yesteryears. The site museum is a new building that explains the volcanic activities in the Bicol region. The museum is free. There is an enchanting butterfly garden beside the museum, also free of charge.

Despite the unpredictable weather dampening our hopes to witness the majestic beauty of Mount Mayon, my experience at Cagsawa Ruins was still memorable. The ATV ride provided an exhilarating adventure, adding an extra layer of excitement to the trip. While Magayon remained hidden behind the clouds, the warmth of Filipino hospitality and delicious local cuisine made up for it. The Laing and ubod with smoked gata were absolute delights, tantalizing the taste buds with their rich flavors. Despite the weather setback, Cagsawa Ruins still offers a remarkable blend of history, adventure, and gastronomic delights.

Mayon Volcano, also known as Mount Mayon, is an active stratovolcano located in the Philippines' Albay Province. Rising 2,462 meters from the shores of the Gulf of Albay, it boasts a perfectly-shaped cone and has erupted numerous times since 2000. Visitors can explore nearby attractions such as whale shark watching in Donsol, water sports at CamSur Water Sports Complex, and the white sand beaches of Caramoan Islands.

This volcano is known to have the “perfect cone.” In fact it was regarded as one of the world’s most symmetric volcanic cones!

Went to the municipality of Cagsawa to see it for ourselves and did not disappoint. Mt. Mayon flaunted its beauty. I was captivated. So charming it took us til night to finally depart from the site. I was in awe!
We tried the Bicolanos famous cuisines, laing and bicol express as well as their spicy level 3 ice cream with Mt. Mayon view.
Right at the parking areas are stalls where you can buy pasalubong and souvenir items. Brought home some Pili for the Gods, Chicoli and Sugar Coated Pili.

I went here last year and the view is breathtaking. The Mayon Volcano is truly a wonder. Matukad is a secluded offshore island that offers visitors a breathtaking view of limestone cliffs and rock climbs leading to an enchanting lagoon. This island boasts of a pristine white sandy beach with clear turquoise waters perfect for swimming and lounging under the sun. The place also provides ample shade for picnics or just relaxing from the heat. Matukad Island is one of the most stunning islands in Caramoan, making it a favorite destination among tourists seeking natural beauty and adventure.

Matukad island is one of da islands we visited in caramoan group of islands.
According to locals, there exists a pair of bangus aka milkfish located in da lagoon. You are required to climb a steep boulders of rock to reach da lagoon.
Neverdaless, not all can climb da steep rock but matukad island is still a must visit island in caramoan.

Matukad is one of my favorites out of the multitude of islands that are available to tour within the area. This island features a large rock feature which can be climbed to give a beautiful view of the beach front and surrounding area. There is also plenty of shade on the island, for a picnic or to escape the scorching sun. The beach is very fine white sand with beautiful torqouise water. Truly a paradise!

"Matukad" means to climb. One has to climb this stiff and stony hill in order to have a good view of the sea. Upon reaching the top you will find a lake where two mysterious milk fishes lives. Nobody has dared to catch them for fear that whoever catches the fish will die
Bernadette Monge — Google review
Powdery white sands, tortuose blue waters plus a little bit of rock climbing to see the enchanted bangus (fish). This place is purely paradise.
Lyn Togi — Google review
Matukad was the second island I visited during my first trip to Caramoan. Its beach has pristine shallow waters and ivory powdery sand. Trees line the shoreline, providing shade.
Matukad island will take your breath away—figuratively and literally. Behind a vast limestone wall hides a lagoon where the two so-called “Enchanted Bangus (milkfish)” are found. To reach the lagoon, visitors have to climb the limestone wall. There are no safety harnesses, ropes, pulleys provided. Once you start climbing, hold on; any misstep will not be pretty. It is about forty feet high.
The rock surface on the usual path taken by tourists are less jagged and less sharp, but will only be passable to one or two people. During my first visit there, there was only a handful of tourists; when I returned two months later, the place was packed and there was a queue of people climbing. More adventurous guests may try the sharper but less crowded parts of the wall to avoid the queue. At the top of the rock ledge is a stunning view of the islands. At the bottom of the other side of the rock ledge is the lagoon where the two milkfish are. Visitors can get close to the lagoon but rocks at this side of the rock ledge are sharper and looser.
I do not recommend wearing rubber shoes for the climb as the bulky shoes may be difficult to fit in small crevices. Slippers would do fine. When I climbed the rock wall, I used aqua shoes and it worked great; it had good traction and the jagged edges of the rocks were not troublesome. The compactness of the aqua shoes enabled me to anchor my foot inside smaller holes and crevices.
The lake was clear and tranquil; despite numerous trees surrounding the area, the lagoon’s surface was unobstructed by fallen leaves, etc. My guide told me the story of how there were two milkfish that lived in the lake until a local caught one and fed it to his family; the enchanted milkfish allegedly cursed the fisherman causing his son to fall ill and die. Enchanted or not, the lagoon and the entire island deserves our respect. (It is sad to note that I had to pick up rubbish thrown along the rock ledge by previous guests; some of the rocks had vandalism, too.)

Went to see this beach on my 2nd day in Daet hoping to see some surfers in action. But to my surprise I saw fishermen instead. Some were still casting their nets and some who came early were pulling theirs in already. Spoke to a boy and he obliged me to take some photos of their catch. The waves were strong during my visit. They said a storm was coming. The rust colored waves was their indicator and also a sign that there were fish near the shoreline. They caught a lot of BANAK - a certain kind of local fish.

A small but beautiful beach resort.
We went there on a Sunday, and despite the long weekend there were not as much people in the area so it was very peaceful.
The cabanas were also more than beautiful. Each had sufficient space for guests, cushions to sit on, shades for privacy, and multiple outlets.
The food was a bit expensive but the family liked it. We did bring more food of our own though and had to pay a corkage fee.
All in all, I’d definitely go back here.

Based on the price of 2.230 PHP for a day of 8 hours, I can give only 3 Stars.
The beach is clean, the water seems to be clean too. Also the landscape is very nice, located on a vast beach.
But if you look for shade at the beach, you will find it only in the restaurants. At the pools, there are fewer umbrellas, so it's a hard fight to get one.
Another way is to rent a condo for an additional 1500 PHP.
The dishes are up to your taste. In ribs and pizza is additional sugar included.
The service act like a 2 Star level.

Amenities are complete and restaurant and bar have a decent selection of Filipino and American, Italian staples. Smallest cabana costs 1250/day, but the one that we got did not have provision for curtains/blinds to shade us from the sun. Will definitely consider coming back here in the future.

Lovely beach club for Playa Laiya members. Non-members can go in as long as they have endorsement letter from an owner and pay the entrance fee and cabana. It is a big and nice place but already showing some signs of neglect such as the power outlet in our cabana is not working properly, in the ladies shower room, some doors have broken locks. Hope the management will do something about it. But the beach area is very nice even if it is pebbly. Better wear aqua shoes especially for kids. There are some parts of the water that is uneven- like you are standing in a shallow part then when you move forward it becomes deep. Glad that there's a lifeguard around.

Lots of dogs as well. They live here. They don’t bite, very chill.

First I just want to say. The owner an his family were so friendly an amazing. The food was delicious an the views were magical. But this is a honest review so here I go. This place should be called a camp ground not a resort. The bathroom conditions were disgusting to me. Self flush toilets outside showers with no privacy. Manny times I used the bathroom. An I had to hold my pants up from laying in gross toilet water. But I'm no princess so this was still ok to me. I draw the line at them not having toilet papper or a boudet to at least rinse with. This was my first time ever whipping my butt with my own hand. The food was delicious but highly over priced. Witch seamed ridiculous when u consider the low level of Accommodations. The tent was a miserable exspirence an the cabins were extremely over priced. All this being said I still had a fun time. I did book it for a week an only stayed 3 days. But it was a fun 3 days. The owner cut me a deal when he found out I was a blogger. An took me an the wifey out on a magical boat ride. For 3,000 instead of the 5,000 he tried getting me to pay at first. I definitely loved the boat ride. Once he puts more effort into the up keep of this place. I'd give it a better rating for sure. If ur a simple person like me you will definitely enjoy it. But maybe don't try to stay a hole week in a tent there. An bring toilet papper you will need it.

It was good not worth the money and travel tho. It was very pricey especially the rooms and services there are many activities to do like kayaking and banana boating... We drove at least 10 km to get there.... The room was worth 4,800(for 4 ppl) and there wasn't even any chairs or TVs or tissues... The sand was great tho it was clean. The stay was only up to 11 am overnight but we came in a huge group so they let us stay whenever we wanted..

I'm surprised to see the set up of the room. There's only one aircon located in the common room. There are electric fans on each room to push the cold air inside. Toilet and shower are separated. We are a group of 10 so some slept on the floor. The beach tho was kind of disappointing because the water is murky and the sand is not white. On the beach tho, the sand is white and is not that fine. Station 2 has better view but there's no accommodation there, I think, only tents. The food serving is small so that makes the price a little expensive at 150-300 each. Free drinking water is available at the dining area. Smart signal is difficult but Globe has 4G. No wifi. The hotel offers banana boat and kayak.

There's an entrance fee which i forgot how much. You can walk around to the other side for a wider beach sand. Make sure weather is good before visiting the place. Shower to wash up is available.

Nice and cozy place. Food is a bit pricey but is understandable. There were only a few guests during our stay making us feel comfortable given the social distancing protocols
Tranquil riverside resort offering airy villas, plus dining, outdoor pools & a museum.
We stayed overnight as a big group during the holidays at their longhouse cabins and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It came with free use of amenities such as carabao ride, museum tour, three meals (lunch at their waterfalls, dinner with serenade, and breakfast), water rafting, and use of pools and jacuzzi. It was well worth it!
The food is superb, each meal was buffet-style, very delicious, and prepared with love. The staff was kind and helpful. And the place was clean and well maintained. It is highly recommend especially for families. Thanks Villa Escudero for making our Tiaong getaway enjoyable for everyone young and old. More power to the staff who made our trip memorable.

So this place is amazing. The whole place is so cool when you come as a family and you get to go stop by stop looking at all the different historical things. The museum has so many amazing collections of everything from statues of saints to old currency. I love how the museum has basically the entire history of the Philippines from the native tribes to all times they were colonized. The restaurant is definitely an amazing experience to be able to eat in a river at the bed of a waterfall. It's something unique that makes it so much more amazing. Then the show is so cool having them show all the different histories and traditions of the Philippines from bamboo dancing to cockfights. This is definitely a place to bring the family for a fun historical trip.

Wonderful spot! Rich in history and ambiance! The staff is very inviting and super friendly. The restaurant is amazing! The food is legit and that location is perfectly executed! The swimming pools are for everyone, all ages in different pools! The show was energetic and very interesting depicting Philippines 🇵🇭 history. The museum requires masks still but once inside there is much to see. And as an added bonus I will say the poolside bar makes fantastic drinks not holding back on the alcohol content in each drink!!!!! Fairly priced with very few visitors during the week, this is a must see if you’re in the area IMO.

We enjoyed the experience riding a cart powered by Carabao, then the Filipino buffet lunch with our feet soaked in water with the beautiful view of the manmade falls. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. One thing we hope the resort management will look into is the upkeep of their museum. I hope they can make it more clean and improve the quality of the items inside the museum to really preserve the history since its very interesting to look into.

In addition to the excellent accommodation the gardens were exceptional. They are beautifully managed by the very friendly Gardener who also assisted me with another matter going above and beyond his duties. As a person who works with plants I found the beautifully managed gardens enhanced the beauty and relaxed feeling at Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort. Will be returning! Regardless of the constant on and off rain, we still had a fantastic experience with the staff taking care of us at every step of the way. Our only regret is that we didn't come in earlier to do everything we wanted to do here. Will definitely be coming back! Must visit when you are going to the Philippines, even for just a day trip.

A huge paradise-like place in a rustic Filipino setting with unlimited activities for guests. Endless activities includes; 1) a visit to one of the biggest museum dates back in the year 1800; 2) a delightful bamboo raft ride 3) delicious Filipino buffet lunch by the gorgeous waterfall; 4) three kinds of swimming pools for the kids, for adults only and an infinity pool for a quick plunge; and finally 5) a cultural show depicting dances and music of the different regions of the country.
We enjoyed the ‘Day Tour Package’. It’s a great vacation place having a combination of history from the museum, a nostalgic carabao ride, a kamayan buffet with your feet soaked in water and a refreshing dip in the pool. Fiesta Ambiance is welcomingly festive. All the staffs are welcomingly friendly, attentively serving with grace to everyone. Their efforts depicts an admirable bayanihan spirit.
It truly was rewarding to visit Villa Escudero. I recommend this place most especially to balikbayan and foreigners who wants to know more of the Filipino culture.

The food was fantastic. Love how they serve it with banana leaves, bamboo plates and utensils, and coconut bowls for soups and condiments and it just brings back how Filipino eat before (some household I would assume still does but not a whole lot now)
But we hope they could do something to the flies as I found some dead ones in the food where the buffet is.
All in all, it was a great experience for our family.
Especially to my husband, who has never been to the Philippines. It's a must stop by if you're nearby! Make sure you're hungry if you do!

Cagbalete Island, located in Mauban town, is one of Quezon Province's top tourist destinations. Secluded, quiet, and beautiful.
We went via Mauban Port (not sure if there are other routes), it is a 45-minute boat ride. The waves are strong.
If you want to disconnect with the city life, this place is for you.
Beach is amazing. It's white sand beach. On the main island, the sand is fine (not Boracay fine but fine). But on the sandbar, the sand was finer.
On your Island Hopping:
- bakawan forest for photos
- snorkeling
- sandbar
Please note:
• Electricity is only available from 7 pm to 7 am
• There is no wifi.
• Bring Cash
• The market is located at the Mauban Port, so buy and bring the things that you need before boarding the boat. At the place where we stayed (Doña Choleng), there's an option to have your food cooked; There's a sari-sari store, so you have options.

This is one of the best secluded, virgin island I have ever been in the Philippines. It was like we rented the entire island just for us. There was almost zero tourist when we visited Cagbalete. Never rain, sun was shinny and the ocean was calm. From the sand, beach, food, and locals, this amazing place is heaven. Went here for a 4 nights trip with my wife. We didn't ate in our resort, what we did was asked local fisherman to cook for us and dine together at their house with their family. The feeling was amazing. Their local adobong pusit, and fish something was super delicious. Would highly recommend doing the same as it also helps local people in getting up from their feet.

I really love this Island. White sands, star fish, beautiful sunrise and sunset, great corals and fishes for snorkeling. The place is for those who loves to partially disconnect on the city. It's only a 4 hours drive including the boat ride from the metro. All resorts are recommendable. Please be advised that electricity is only available between 6pm to 6am. Also, for the first timers, you'll need to secure bookings first for you to be able to ride a public boat on the Mauban port for registration.
Jerico Abalos (RN) — Google review
Went here without the best plans - just a quick glance through the reviews and dos and don'ts. My mistake. I should've planned better because you won't be able to take full pleasure of the island and it's beauties without preparation.
Bring food with you, or at least a big budget to buy prepared food from the island. Otherwise, you'll be eating canned foods the entire time.
Rest well before coming here. If you'll arrive in the morning at around 11am, you'll see that the beach is almost dried up. You're going to want to take a lot of pictures of this beauty by then and explore the rest of the island after.
Pick the best resort for you. There are a lot of options here that offer rooms, or if you prefer pick one that has the best deal for tent pitching.
I'll definitely be back! 🏝👏😇

Love this place!! If you are into camping, serene and relaxing beach, this is the place to be. A secluded island with lots of resort to choose from. But we chose to camp here. Resorts and fine beaches. Effects of low tide is obvious on some beaches. Friendly local government. Follow rules especially with your trash; keep the island clean as always :) white sand beaches are present here. Careful though, lots of corals and stones around when taking a swim.
Taal Lake is a stunning crater lake located within the caldera of an active volcano in the Philippines. It is known for its picturesque setting and features a small island with its own crater lake. The area is popular for trekking, offering a more relaxed alternative to hiking in Mt. Pinatubo with equally breathtaking views. Visitors can also enjoy cruises on the lake, where they can learn about the volcano and its impact on nearby towns.

Very nice lake close to Manila (only 70 km away but it will take you hours to get there).
It`s still an active volcano so inquire about eruptions before going there.
Though nice nature and nice trip to a top of an island and nice view. They`ll try to sell you a horse ride to a top but you can walk. It`s only one way although they`re saying otherwise. But, nevertheless, you can still take a horse ride and make them earn some money - they are really, really poor.

It was a great experience visiting the smallest active volcano in the world. Trail is a little bit dirty with horse's poo so don't wear your favorite shoes. I didn't have much exercise so the hike is hard for me. Hiring a horse is also a good idea but make sure to hold tightly as there's almost nothing to hold on to nor a helmet. It was a good idea to go early so you have all the space to your photoshoot without the crowd and the hot sun. Make sure to bring your own water or beverage and don't assume that the drinks up there are free. Our foreigner friends did.

Beautiful lake within the lake. With a small island in an Island. The Famous Taal volcano can be seen from a far when you’re in tagaytay highlands and be mesmerized closely with it’s beauty when u go on the trail to the crater.

It was a scary boat ride going to the volcano due to strong wind but we reached safely. The horses that are for rent look frail, not a difficult hike. My 7 yr old nephew reached the crater with no sweat 😝 the view is breath taking! Amazing nature!
Taal Volcano is a popular tourist spot in the Batangas province of Philippines. It features a stunning crater lake, surrounded by dense foliage and hiking trails leading to a viewing platform with breathtaking panoramic views. A unique aspect of this attraction is that it remains an active volcano, providing visitors with an opportunity to witness its natural phenomena. Adventurous travelers can rent horses or boats to explore the area, but appropriate footwear is essential for hiking. The caldera can also be crossed by boat.
So even though you can’t hike on the island anymore due to the active nature of the volcano, it’s still super worth taking a boat ride around the lake. Lots to see, plus tons of cool birds flying everywhere. And if you’re lucky, you might even see a little activity from the volcano itself. Highly recommend.

Taal Volcano is an active volcano located in the southern part of Luzon, the Philippines' main and biggest island group. It has erupted many times these past few yeas (perspective is from 2022) and has caused problems to many of the towns and residents around it. The volcano is within the territory of at least two provinces, Cavite and Batangas. Still, despite its volatile nature, Taal Volcano is a beautiful place that easily reminds us of the power of natural forces. When calm, it offers a picturesque view that you can enjoy from afar, or take a guided tour within the volcanic island. It is near the capital and accessible if you want a break. It is just a 1 to 2 hour drive away from the National Capital Region. It is a must see when in Luzon! Before going, it is good to check the current situation of the volcano since authorities do not allow activities within the volcanic island when there is an eruption.

Not sure where other reviewers have been, as you are not currently able to land on the Island.
It has been "off limits" since 2021, but MAY re-open in April.
That said, the drive down the hillside to get to the village was very interesting, as was the drive around the lake to Taal.
We were quoted 5,000 pesos for an hour boat ride or 6,000 for 2 hours which would go right around the Island - we declined.
It was worth the trip for the drive and the view but disappointed we couldn't actually visit the Island. On the plus side, there were virtually no other tourists

Very scary and awesome. Like most we climbed to the edge of the crater and it is a bit of a frightening site as it is one of the most active volcanoes in the country and has erupted numerous times in the past. Actually it is composed of a main crater and several smaller craters. The Main Crater Lake is approximately 2 kilometers in diameter and contains a small island called Vulcan Point. This point is the site of a number of volcanic vents and is considered to be the most active part of the volcano.

Taal Volcano, located in the Philippines, is a mesmerizing geological wonder with its unique crater lake and the world's smallest volcano within a lake. The panoramic view from the crater rim offers a breathtaking landscape, making it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts. However, it's essential to be mindful of the volcano's occasional activity, as it remains an active volcano with the potential for eruptions. Worth it
First take a cab to the nearby island. Then take a boat to the volcano. Then come up to the top and then climb down inside the crater. Long long long journey but worth every second of it
You would visited an active volcano. In the crater it still smells of sulphur so please decide accordingly how close you want to get to that place without suffocating yourself it feeling nauseousness
Helpful guide and prepare for the climb if you are a chain smoker. Not going to be easy.
But go for it for sure after checking all regulations and weather and timings to visit the volcano

News of the phreatic eruption of Taal Volcano yesterday (12 Jan 2020) made me think of the trip to the crater we took 12 years ago (in 2008). From Tagaytay, we rode down to the lakeside and took a boat to the volcano. From the shore, we rode on horseback up to the crater of the volcano within a volcano and the view was just ... breathtaking!
I hope that after the dust settles, Taal Volcano will recover its beauty. I'm optimistic, though -- look at Mt. Pinatubo. Nature has a way of taking care of herself.

If you are a cyclist like me, I highly recommend that you visit this place. It is very wide and open with refreshing breeze of winds around. It is one of my favourite place that I would like to go back and ride around using my bike. The roads are also great for having a designated road for bikers to cycles. There are also not many people around the area so you would not worry about social distancing yourself if you ever catch a Covid from someone you come contact with which is great. They also have many fishes around that are swimming around the lake. Which you can feed and they go crazy. There are boats also that you can ride for you to explore the lake. Hence, overall it is a good place to go if you want to hangout with your family and friends.

A great place to take your kids, have lots of parking also. Food is expensive here so I advise people to bring a water jug, they don't allow food bought from outside including bottled water. Attractions are great been here many times and it's good that they're well maintained. They also have performers(Victoria's way) on stage located in the food court, me and my family enjoyed their performance. Enchanted kingdom 5/5.

It is my 2nd time here during the pandemic, and until now, EK haven't failed me in delivering a great service and experience. They are able to manage crowds even in peak hours and they never failed to sanitize each ride.
Food prices are still high but it is expected. Missing the previous regular pass fee tho. Currently, their regular pass retails at 999 per person.

The kids enjoyed it!!! Oh well, even the adults. They're only open during weekends, Friday to Sunday. And I wish they could open earlier so that it won't be too hot at 11am when they open. I think 10am opening time would not be so bad. We enjoyed the rides although some rides are not open until after lunchtime. It's still not very crowded as from the pre pandemic times. Restrooms are still clean. I hope you could just put water refilling stations instead of people buying bottled water, it's more environment friendly.

I like it. It’s little but everything about attraction inside for having fun for a whole day. No matter if child or adult. Sometimes you have to pay for some attractions additional. That’s why one star is missing. I like the roller coasters and the wild water rafting. Also a lot of food is offered there. At the end of the day before the park is about to close you’ll see an amazing firework. So it’s my recommendation to stay there till the end. As soon as it’s getting dark the park is shining in it’s beautiful lights.

The security here is very strict, the moment you enter the vicinity they are going to check your bags.it is not allowed to bring any food, candies, bottled water and other drinks inside. On the other hand, they have food stalls all over the park where you can buy your food and drinks ,It's just a bit costly though. They got various rides you could choose from that depends on your liking. Most rides are for big kids and teenagers but they got few rides for smaller kids. They also got game stalls and 3D, 4D,5 D and 7D game theaters. They are also taking photos during your every ride, it's just up to you if you are going to purchase the photo. It cost P300 per photo print.
They also got souvenir and gift shops all over the amusement park.
Just be sure to bring extra clothes, for you can become wet with the other water wild rides that they have.
Over all, we have enjoyed our few hours of stay.

Book a ticket via klook inclusive of transportation from and to SM MOA. Bringing food inside is not allowed but there are a lot of foos stalls inside. Food prices are surprisingly not too expensive.
Wearing of a mask is a must. Sanitation is well done too.
Staffs are friendly and approachable. Definitely worth it to visit.

It was a great experience visiting the Enchanted Kingdom. A one-Day EKspress ticket is worthy of purchasing. It will surely prevent you from queueing for a couple of minutes. The lockers are available for extra bags that you do not need while enjoying the park. Everything is sanitized before you take the ride. The park attendants are all welcoming and entertaining. Their new horror attraction, Alcatraz, is a must-visit. You have to pay P270 for its entrance and get ready to scream out of your lungs. All actors are really scary. They interact with the visitors and they strictly implement "no touching".We had a lot of fun. Indeed, we will visit the park again.

The staff were also friendly and helpful. Worth the drive from Manila.

Enchanted Kingdom offers a fantastic array of entertainment options but may become crowded and expensive during peak times. Visitors should be prepared for potential long lines and consider the cost of admission and food within the park when planning their trip.
Pros of Enchanted Kingdom:
Fun-Filled Entertainment: Enchanted Kingdom is a well-known amusement park in the Philippines, offering a wide range of rides, attractions, and entertainment shows suitable for all ages.
Variety of Rides: The park boasts a diverse selection of rides, from thrilling roller coasters to family-friendly attractions, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Clean and Well-Maintained: Enchanted Kingdom is known for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities, providing a pleasant and safe environment for visitors.
Accessible Location: Located in Santa Rosa, Laguna, it is easily accessible from Metro Manila and surrounding areas, making it a convenient destination for a day trip or weekend getaway.
Cons of Enchanted Kingdom:
Crowds and Long Lines: Especially during weekends and holidays, Enchanted Kingdom can get extremely crowded, leading to long wait times for popular rides and attractions.
Ticket Prices: Admission and ride fees can be relatively expensive, which may not be budget-friendly for some visitors, especially larger families.
Limited Dining Options: The park's dining options are somewhat limited, and prices for food and beverages within the park can be high.

Very good value for money. A clean, and safe amusement park. Lots of fun for people of all ages. There are lots of rides, including inverted roller roller coasters, 3D movies, haunted house, etc.
Every night they have a fireworks show around 6:50pm.
The park closes at 8 so plan accordingly. The best part is you can enter and re-enter as many times as you want.
Don’t eat at the taco stand.

Nice park not far from Metro Manila. Cool roller coaster, amazing water rides, big clean territory, lots of food and snacks variations. The staff is friendly and helpful near each attraction. The fireworks show and parade at 7pm were beautiful. But you should buy tickets in advance, and also we had an express pass. With regular tickets lines are really crazy on weekends. Although the price for express is affordable only 2200 pesos and it totally worth it. Compared to Disneyland the prices are so much cheaper.

Entrance fee moderately expensive. Come early to get enough dose of the action. Came here at 2pm so we didn't finish every ride. Birthday celebrant (for the month) gets a free pass while guests get a 10% discount. We paid onsite but you can also pay online. If you've been here before, you'll notice some changes that comes with the passage of time, especially the paint.
Map is only online via QR code. There's free alcohol spray bottle to claim in many colors (yellow, pink, blue, black, brown) for the regular payee. Get it right away before it closes. There's also a 5% discount to a restaurant if you're dining. Food is cheaper than ever, like you're in a usual mall in the NCR.
All the staple old rides and streets were still around, but not all are as crowded as they used to be. The areas with extra payment were deserted, probably because 100 pesos extra entrance was expensive when the stuff looks super old from a decade ago. The entire local theme park feels like a time travel back in time. If you've been here before, you'll notice the very rustic look with the old paint, so it's like Old Wild Wild West with a Korean touch on the decor.
Water is cheap at 35 pesos, and most of the food were also cheap. There are several souvenir stalls around for hats and the like.
Flying fiesta still nice, the old swing goes up and down and around. It's moderate and not quite going to get you dizzy. Loved the soft breeze on my face.
The Rialto portion shows Mowgli's Jungle Race, one that's refreshing and worth the line.
We spent 30 mins in line. There were 60 seats upstairs & 48 seats downstairs. There's a bit of water that comes out as part of the effects. The story was a bit short and left me hanging.
Carousel for kids and maybe grown ups was a simple ride. Tried it for photos, can be cute here.
Rio Grande Rapids, this had a long line from afternoon up to night. We came around 5pm and got in around 5:45pm If you want a picture, it's 250 pesos and you can also download the digital version. I got really wet here, but it's fine since the hot weather at night made me dry in no time. There were ponchos at 75 pesos but it looked flimsy that you're better off bringing your own raincoat if you want to. Others used the magic dryer at 150 pesos nearby.
I ate takoyaki there and the snack was filling, worth a try.
Went to Agila 7D building, the only one looking modern amidst everything old-style. Closes at 7pm, so we were the last ride for this 15 minute show. It's got an epic music, even going as far as saying: You have just witnessed the splendor of the Philippines. It's a good line but you can't bring any large bags inside, only a small bag can be kept for your wallet and phone.
Parade? None. But the Eldar wizard went around randomly at the street near Rialto around 4pm.
Fireworks quick from 7:20-7:30pm when we came. We were told it started at 7:30pm prior to taking the Agila ride but they started it earlier. Best spot to watch it is near the outdoor theater stage area and near space rocket.
Ferris wheel ride finale. This one closes late, fortunately, and we got here on the last ride before 9pm. Overall, EK is okay for a quick activity for leisure.

it's good and fun here & has lots of variety of rides and foods you can pick! I suggest you should go here on a weekday so you can enjoy your regular pass but If u go here on a weekend you should avail the 1-day EKpress pass for fast line & no wasted time & can go around more. It's a nice & clean place I would love to go back again! ❤️🎡🎢

It's a fun place to be with family! The rides range from extreme to kid friendly. Other attractions are paid separately. The carousel is a classic, it never gets old. My daughter and i love it. Please bring gallons of water to break the heat, yes the hot weather. The water for sale inside is expensive. Just a friendly reminder.

We had a blast in Enchanted Kingdom. Here are top 10 tips to make sure you do so as well.
1 - buy the express ticket online, costs twice as much but totally worth it. No lines for the rides and even if you wait, it will not take hours for you to enjoy something. Also zero wait time in entering the park. Best decision I made.
2 - bring a big insulated tumbler. Trust me you will run out of water soon and it's super expensive to buy on stalls.
3 - Realto is the best ride for me, make sure you try this.
4 - Save all the dizzy rides at the end, if you still have time. You won't enjoy the park if you feel sick. Don't force yourself on rides if you think you can't handle them.
5 - not all the paid rides are worth it. The 7D kinda sucks, the go cart is fun 650 pesos for 10mins is worth it. Ride with a group not by yourself. The laser maze and others are pretty lame.
6 - bring a set of clean clothes. Trust me you will get wet and sweaty at some point. There's a bathroom stall outside the re-entry gate, dont wait in line inside.
7 - plan ahead and leave early. Best to be here during opening to make sure you experience everything.
8 - Make sure you have cash, we (2 persons) spent 2k trying out food and games. Also had lunch here. Expect everything to be a little expensive.
9 - Ask what time the fireworks and event shows happen. We missed most of the shows because we were on rides, they have a schedule for the shows, best to chill during those times.
10 - bring a cap or umbrella, super hot when we came. put sun block as well.
Don't forget to check out the pictures I posted. I hope you get a great time as well!

The moment we stepped into Enchanted Kingdom, we were transported to a realm of wonder and joy. The park's attention to detail in creating a magical atmosphere truly amazed me. The variety of attractions and rides catered to all ages, ensuring that everyone in our group had a fantastic time.
The rides were nothing short of spectacular. Each one offered a unique thrill that left us exhilarated and wanting more. From heart-pounding roller coasters to whimsical carousels, Enchanted Kingdom had it all. The safety measures put in place gave us peace of mind, allowing us to fully enjoy the adrenaline rush each ride provided.
Aside from the rides, the entertainment was top-notch. We were treated to spellbinding performances that left us mesmerized. The talented performers brought their characters to life, making the experience even more immersive.
And let's not forget about the food! The delectable food delights available at Enchanted Kingdom satisfied our hunger and cravings. From mouthwatering snacks to hearty meals, there was something for every palate.
What made the day even more special was the availability of unique souvenir items. We couldn't resist taking a piece of the magic home with us. The range of souvenirs allowed us to cherish the memories and relive the enchantment of the day.
Enchanted Kingdom truly lived up to its name, providing an enchanting escape from the ordinary. It's evident that the park is dedicated to delivering world-class experiences to its visitors. We came on friday. Cause I know weekdays will be more ok and less people. When we can there was a school field trip so many students all around but it was fine as it is still manageable. Bring a raincoat in case it rain or you don't want to get wet in rides. or just bring extra clothes and shoes. No food allowed but you can buy food stalls.

The experience there was nothing short of extraordinary—utterly joyful and filled with delightful moments. What added to the overall satisfaction was the convenience brought by my ticket Express pass. Navigating through the activities, the hassle-free entry allowed me to maximize my time and immerse myself fully in the experience.
From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere exuded a contagious sense of excitement. The vibrant surroundings and lively energy created a backdrop that heightened the overall enjoyment. The anticipation built up as I approached the entrance, and with my ticket in hand, I breezed through the admission process. The Express pass, in particular, proved to be a game-changer, sparing me from the long queues that often accompany such events.
As I explored the venue, each attraction brought its own unique charm. The seamless entry process allowed me to savor every moment without the stress of waiting in lines. It was a relief to know that my ticket not only granted access but also ensured a smooth and efficient experience. The Express pass, in particular, emerged as a valuable investment, making the entire event not only memorable but also remarkably stress-free.

Been a decade before I visited again. In comparison with theme parks abroad, it came close enough when it comes to attractions. Although would love more 3D stuff since I'm not into rides. Fast pass is worth it and it's not even that expensive! Better come here January and February. Weekends so you got some people around and weather is best during this month in our humid country.
They have promo for PagIbig card holders.
Good choices are plenty too
Parking is secured and enough.

No need to get an express pass during the weekday. And if you’re unsure whether you should get one, you can just buy the regular ticket and have it upgraded after, if you discover that the lines are super long.
Still one of the best experiences ever. EK still has it! We had a blast!

Still the happiest place for me. But I would recommend renovating some parts of the park especially in the Rialto area. To have more food stands and more interactive rooms or areas for kids. I wish that the horror train was part of the entrance fee.

The rides were fun and exciting experience but the only problem I come across was the line for the rides because of too Many people it took me and my friends almost an hour to get in a ride and I advised you to bring your own rain coat or a spare clothes to change to if you're going to ride the Rio Grande Rapids and it's not allowed to bring food inside and if you want to get yourself a map of the enchanted kingdom just go to the guest magic or something and just ask them for a map or just ask one of the workers where to get them and no phone allowed in the rides

Ayala Museum is a private museum in Metro Manila, Philippines that features collections of art, history, and culture. The most valuable part of the collection is the "Gold of Ancestors" exhibit which displays over a thousand pieces of gold jewelry from the 16th century. The museum also has rotating art exhibits that feature Filipino masters such as Luna and Amorsolo.
A must-visit place for any Filipino citizen to immerse oneself in the Filipino identity and culture, the museum is a multi-level facility. I certainly highly recommend the Filipino History dioramas. The old Filipino Masters Painting collection is a must-see too. Some sections/areas are not yet open to the public though.

If you are interested on Spanish time Arts incorporated with Filipino History, this place is perfect for you.
I was given the chance to visit the Ayala Museum as an AYLC 2022 delegate and I am thankful for the opportunity.
Here, I was able to see a lot of significant arts (from well known artists). It also gave us a glimpse of Philippines history.
What I liked the most in this museum is the Dioramas. It was well made and it incorporated the history of what happened before.
This museum has a lot to offer. And I assure you, the general admission would be worth it. Though of course, there are restrictions to be followed. Some these restrictions include "not taking photos" of some of the art works, crafts, and others.

Besides from the pricey entrance fee, I've been wanting to go here since it's around the Metro. The museum highlights an impressive collection of gold artifact (The Ayalas are definitely rich people). The museum is a treasure trove of knowledge and a visual treat for the visitors. I enjoyed the dioramas a lot! I think it's new since the renovation recently. I suggest noting down about historical events when walking down the diorama part since it's very interactive and if you're history fan like me then this place is for you.

Ayala Museum is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Philippine history, culture, and art. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with a sense of wonder and discovery. The museum's layout is well-designed, making it easy to navigate and explore the diverse exhibits.
One of the highlights of Ayala Museum is its comprehensive collection of artifacts and artworks that beautifully showcase the rich heritage of the Philippines. The Gold of Ancestors exhibit is particularly captivating, with its stunning display of ancient gold jewelry and ceremonial objects. It provides a glimpse into the country's pre-colonial past and the extraordinary craftsmanship of its ancestors.
The museum also offers a fascinating journey through Philippine history through its meticulously crafted dioramas. These vivid scenes transport you to pivotal moments in the nation's development, allowing you to immerse yourself in the past and gain a deeper understanding of the country's cultural identity.
Moreover, Ayala Museum embraces contemporary art, featuring a range of thought-provoking exhibitions that highlight the talent and creativity of Filipino artists. The modern art section offers a refreshing contrast to the historical exhibits and demonstrates the vibrant and evolving nature of Philippine art.
Throughout my visit, the museum staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the exhibits. Their enthusiasm was contagious, enhancing the overall experience and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Additionally, Ayala Museum regularly hosts educational programs, workshops, and events that further enrich visitors' understanding of Philippine culture and history. These activities provide valuable opportunities for learning and engagement, particularly for students and families.
Lastly, I appreciate the amenities provided by the museum, such as a well-stocked gift shop where you can find unique souvenirs and books related to Philippine arts and culture.
In conclusion, Ayala Museum is a gem that showcases the diverse and fascinating aspects of Philippine heritage. Its impressive collection, engaging exhibits, and knowledgeable staff make it a truly memorable destination for locals and tourists alike. I highly recommend visiting Ayala Museum to discover the beauty and depth of Philippine history and culture.

This is an exceptionally good museum. The building itself is pristine and the exhibition spaces well laid out over several floors with interpretation boards in English.
The modelling of the dioramas tracing the history of the Philippines was particularly good. In the section chronicling ancient gold artickes, the display cases were usefully fitted with magnifying glasses so as to see the fine craftsmanship.
Also a section featuring 19th C Artist Luna and accompanying video documentary was very interesting. Definitely worth a visit

Went there on May 15, 2022 and availed of their soft opening rate this pandemic at Php350 per person. Several sections were still closed during my visit.
Was able to see the gallery at 3F which shows artworks and artifacts proving that Philippines, even during pre-colonial times, is more intertwined with the rest of the world.
Also saw a gallery of minimalist/abstract paintings.
The 2F is best explored if you're really in the mood to do a deep dive in the Philippine history. Best enjoyed with the Ayala Museum app which allows you to play recordings to help explain the diorama. There were more than 50 dioramas and you may need around 2 minutes each.

I don't know if I would classify it as a museum, but that's what ot is called.
There are different exhibitions on the different floors. Floor 2 is about the history of the Philippines. You can follow in numerical order (in print and very illustrative puppet scenes), what has happened in the Philippines and how the country has developed. Floor 3 is mostly about the famous painter from the Philippines Juan Luna, and you can to see some of his masterpieces. Floor 4 is very much about gold and works in gold from the 10th century to the 13th century.

Ayala Museum is a well-curated museum and art gallery.
Highlights of our Nov 2023 visit:
1. “Splendor”, the Juan Luna exhibit - It includes a nice film which tells the story of how “Hymen, oh Hyménée” resurfaced after years of being kept in France. Every Filipino needs to see this. Such a masterpiece!
2. “Gold of Ancestors” - Spectacular display of antique gold pieces from the pre-Spanish era. The exhibit is modern with an intro video + clever ways of examining the art. (Don’t miss out on the drawers.)
3. Diorama - Creative way of telling Philippine history. We enjoyed going from window to window. Learned a lot!

Greenbelt 5 Mall Ayala Center Space 1-006 Phase 2, Makati, 1228, Philippines
The Ayala Triangle Gardens is a landscaped urban public park in the Philippines Makati area. It features green grass, towering trees, and rows of restaurants making it a popular family hangout. The park is well known for its spectacular lights-and-sounds show that runs for a month every Christmas season.
Even though it is not like the old times where the green grounds is still a literal triangle, the owners still managed to keep the grounds and the trees in tacked. I also love that the happy and lively vibe of the place is going back even with covid still around.
I did go back to the grounds to witness the Art fair 2022 which is indeed a breath of fresh air and a good opening this year. It features modern art from different artists. It was a really good ensemble.

Such a beautiful place to cool down after walking all day (which i did). Really clean and abundantly green lawns. It was so peaceful and totally worth the visit. It almost seemed like the humidity disappeared when i stepped into the park.
Not far but within the same area there’s an underground shopping area with some cafe’s and restaurants. It seems to be under development and hopefully will be completed soon.

This expansive lawn with trees and flowering plants is one of the last lungs of Makati's concrete jungle. You can stroll, dine, exercise or do your fitness routine. Visiting here during weekdays and the park really offers a nice place to stroll around and take a breather. However, there's nothing much to do in here as there are no other facilities - asides from the Ayala Triangle Garden plaza that you can visit. The Ayala Triangle Garden plaza itself is quite nice and offers selections of dining and cafe outlets to choose. Really love the building design and concept!

Ayala continues to imbibe how we can make business districts as livable and walkable communities. Ayala Triangle Gardens is one of proof of it! Surrounded by tall buildings yet this garden makes you feel serene and quiet. You can feel the breeze of the sun in this summer time.
People are allowed to sit and stay in the grass area and it is even pet-friendly! You can have water jug because we think having a picnic is prohibited. We saw one family politely asked a guard to quickly and properly dispose their food and garbage.
You can stay as long as you want (park is open until 10pm) too just practice clean as you go and do not leave your things unattended.
There is parking beside Blackbird. You should be along Makati Avenue so that parking will be on your right side.
Closest mall is Greenbelt 5, which has a parking area as well. From Greenbelt, you can pass thru the underground walkway to Ayala Triangle, it is a 5-minute walk from Paseo entrance.

Always looking forward to the festival of lights during Christmas time. Perfect for bonding with family and friends. We enjoyed the music and the lights, especially the wide open space. There are cafes and restaurants if you get hungry. There is also a nice and clean airconditioned restrooms.
Congratulations!

Super great place to hang, have a picnic, even work, mag munimuni, eat dinner, take a run, introspect, be with others, or just chill out and slow down. Ayala Triangle Gardens truly sets the bar for what an accessible people-centric park should be especially at the heart of the Makati Ayala Central Business District. Super glad we have one of these in our midst as Filipinos. They also have an upscale mall that looks remarkable with its lush greeneries and astounding architectural hill-esque design. They also of course house the original Philippine Stock Exchange, as well as other upscale restaurants. Definitely a must visit for those living and working in the area, especially on a weekday and off peak hours.

12/31/23 First time visiting during both the day (Ayala Ave was closed and conducting sound check for the new year Eve countdown later That night) and at night… no light show presumably due to NYE festivities. Hope to come back to see the Festival of Lights show. Beautiful water feature. Loved the use of local capiz.

Mar 2023: This is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We went here last Sunday to see the Spectrum Fair Manila. It's beside Ayala Triangle along Paseo de Roxas street. Btw, if you love cats this park is the place to be. It has lots of friendly and neutered/spayed cats that will greet you along the way. 😻❤️
Jul 2023: We had a relaxing stroll and saw lots of beautiful kitties along the way 😊

Cute place to make friends and to go for a stroll. I loved the trees they are so beautiful and enduring.
I enjoyed the architecture of the surroundings edifices and the areas where one can sit and chat with a friend or loved one.
For sure worth a visit to anyone coming from abroad. Green spaces in Makati are most welcome! As others have said it’s good for a jog, people watching, and can serve as a refugee from the hustle and bustle of the megapolis that is the city of Manila.
mansa shaka — Google review
The place is spacious and clean, but it is also very plain. There is not much to see, just people, dogs, and children walking around, running around, and playing. Some old people are doing zumba, which is entertaining to watch. It would be nice if there were some attractions, not just a plain grassy area in the center of high-rise buildings.
PR4X — Google review
A place to enjoy Makati city and the park itself. Man made parks were made though trees have not been shady and thick. The health of the trees, its canopies have shaded out compared to the previous years. They needed rehabilitation and care.
Though lights were structured for its illumination purposes, it gives beauty and light. Shops are recently renovated so stalls were put to cater snacks, coffee and such.
Still looking forward to how Ayala Triangle Gardens will turn out to a greener haven in the future.

The music might not have been the usual holiday classics, but it added a unique twist to the light show, and my son loved it! He danced along to the catchy rhythms, and it was a fun way to experience something different.

A beautiful park in the business district. The views are refreshing. Greenery meets urban architecture. I imagine it would be good to have a picnic here.

I love the place, sits comfortably in the middle of a busy business center. Here they sometimes host art fare, a lot of dining options (but on the expensive side usually) and close to other malls like Greenbelt. The cons here: it's just a small land space, and you can't cycle around as it's not allowed. But they do have bike parking.

Makati's verdant oasis, embraced by the urban landscape, transforms into a vibrant spectacle during the Christmas season when trees adorned with lights come to life after sunset. Adjacent to the park, the newly erected Ayala Triangle Gardens Tower 2 forms an elegant backdrop, rising prominently above the lush surroundings. For those seeking sustenance, a visit to the underground area offers a selection of restaurants and the Marketplace for grocery needs.

The light show before Covid was much better. The Christmas songs used are more traditional. Now it seems more techno and the show is shorter. It is only 7 minutes long. I was a little disappointed that it had changed a lot over the years. But it was still nice for them to have a Christmas light show for everyone.

Paseo De Roxas St Cor Makati Ave, Cor Ayala Ave, Makati, 1209 Metro Manila, Philippines
Large zoo with a variety of exotic & native animals, a gift shop & feeding experiences.
If you can only choose one zoo to bring your kids to, this is the one I recommend.
The animals look healthy and they seem to be taken well cared for . There are some animals where you can interact with them, something kids really enjoy.
There's also a canteen where you can eat and refresh yourself before going back into the fray, because it's big, around 70 stations big.
Overall a great and enjoyable experience you can have with your loved ones.
Rodelle Carpio — Google review
Still the best Zoo I visited here in the Philippines. Lots of different animals. Some are rare ones. Peaceful since there were not lots of people who visited it. Price is still worth it since the Zoo is still well taken care of.

It was a great experience. Make sure to experience this with groups because it will be a long walk! It's better if you go there in the morning because it won't be so hot. Enjoyed feeding them and petting those you are allowed to pet. Many areas are closed but all in all, it's nice, clean and you feel like it's a rainforest.

Tons of room for improvement but definitely has good roots.
Ticketing was very accommodating since I thought there would be card payment options given the price per head. We settled via personal gcash transfer.
Could use a good cleanup and trim or two but provided their limited staff, it would definitely be hard to do that daily. I saw expansion areas being built though so who knows. The repaired cracked glass on the tunnel area of the leopard enclosure sure is concerning but funny as well. It gave a "it just got real" feel to the enclosure. The number stop system was confusing as well. Given the price, a map would be better.
Fun experience but here's to hoping for more improvements.

Compared to other Zoos in Metro Manila, Avilon Zoo is by far the best zoo in terms of overall experience. The place was designed in such a way that visitors can follow numbered stations which showcase animals so it wouldn’t overwhelm to explore the huge place.
Avilon Zoo, despite of being a sanctuary of different animals, surprisingly does not smell bad.
They also sell food inside, just right after the cashier/registration booth and you can dine in there, too as they provide tables and chairs.
All staff are also pleasing and approachable.
You can buy your tickets on site or get discounted prices when you buy online (subject to promo validity).
Don’t forget to take a picture with the Giraffes! 😍🦒

Definitely go at 8am or early to see the animals getting fed and out of their enclosures.
Very clean, easy to follow maps (although I hope there's an online map).
Very interactive, you can feed HUGE freshwater fish and I mean HUGE! You also get to feed giraffes, hogs, deers, and bunnies. Theres also a spot where you can take a picture with birds and reptiles!
Good with kids and wheelchairs. Not too hot since you're literally surrounded by trees and jungle. Took us at least two hours to go around the whole zoo!
Very fun!

This place is huge 7.5 hectares of zoological and botanical place. The zoo has a lot of animals, clean place and it reminds me of Singapore Zoo. Kids will surely love this place.
Michelle L — Google review
We visited December 2021 and bought discounted tickets via Klook. The management implemented a route to ensure social distancing among guests where you will have to follow numbered arrows to go through the zoo. We were able to see all attractions. Caution for those with strollers or using wheelchairs, some accessibility ramps have been closed to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
Each area has accessible and clean toilets. there are also staff who check the cleanliness.
Only a few shops are open. Food/Drinks not allowed once you go to the actual zoo area. Make sure to eat/drink at the entrance pavillion before you embark on your trip around since you might get hungry midway.
There is an area for feeding animals. This is a lot of fun especially for kids.
Overall a great experience. Keep it up!

Hands down the best zoo I've been in. There are so many animals to see and their cages are well maintained. I remember seeing two giraffes so many big cats bear lots of turtles lots of birds even monkeys. Definitely recommend bringing your family especially the kids to Avilon zoo

You'll get to see a lot of animals that are almost extinct or can't be seen normally outside. It's great to visit on weekdays since there is not much people. It's huge but you won't get lost because they have signages to follow.
You can also feed some animals like the giraffes up close.
Love Gajisan — Google review
Very vast array of animals. I think this is one of the best zoos I have visited. Maybe it would be nice if they can put a tram or rent strollers for young kids. I like that they allow the tiger cubs and an orangutan to interact with the guests aside from the feeding interactions.
I hope they put more food variety in the inside stall as they only have hotdogs and popcorn. Our kids were already hungry midway through our tour.
For those looking for hotel or other attractions nearby, checkout Noah's Park. It would be a great deal for those coming from far away places if they have a resort + zoo trip package.

The best place to bond with kids. It has more animals compared to other zoos in Metro Manila. They have activities such as feeding giraffes and photographing snakes and birds and Of course, you need to pay. P100-200 per activity.
Benjie Fabro — Google review
It's a fair drive from the city but well worth it the venue is huge with more than enough to look at. Its reasonably well looked after and most of the enclosures have animals. It's a good place for kids as they can feed the hippos, giraffes and iguanas and there are plenty of photo ops. Would visit again. It was pretty busy on the weekend but the groups tended to be spread out.

Avilon Zoo, touted as the largest zoo in the Philippines, delivers an impressive and immersive wildlife experience. Personally, I love how you can interact and feed the animals, especially the giraffe and hippos there so active and loveable. My nephew really loves the station where you feed the rabbits and guinea pigs. Be sure to ready your camera for this is such an amazing experience to both you and your loved ones.
One of the most striking aspects of Avilon Zoo is its expansive grounds, 70 stations with diverse range of habitats that closely mimic the natural environments of the animals. The attention to creating spacious and comfortable enclosures contributes to the well-being of the inhabitants, fostering a sense of connection between visitors and the animal kingdom.
I'll be sure to visit again in the future with my girlfriend. I hope that this place still leaves up to its name as the most biggest and wonderful zoo in the Philippines.
Jared Miguel — Google review
I think Avilon Zoo is a must visit place for both kids and adults. They have a wide variety of animals to see and the place is bigger than we have expected! Just follow the numbers located on each area as it serves as their map. They also have a cafeteria near the entrance (food is good yet affordable) and a souvenir shop (toys, animal costumes, hats, Avilon-themed keychains and magnets, etc). They also have a photo op area with some of their animals (tickets can be purchased on the counter near the photo op area - P50 per animal). I advise to go there early so you can experience everything they have to offer.

Minalungao National Park was established in 1967 to conserve the picturesque Penaranda River and its environs. This natural area boasts stunning rock formations and offers visitors a range of thrilling outdoor activities such as cliff diving, fishing, raft rides, hiking, and ziplining. The park is promoted as an ecotourism destination by local authorities and provides opportunities for swimming and kayaking on the river. Adventurous tourists can also try their hand at rafting or cliff diving.
It's worth the travel. Unfortunately, the minalungao national park itself is already close. So we have to choose from one of the other available resorts there. Anyways, they have Affordable floating cottages and entrance fee is only 50pesos. There is not much things to do but it is a nice place to just relax and get in touch with nature.

Beautiful place, and you wouldn't need to spend much here. There are strong currents at certain areas so be careful, especially with children. You can rent a raft for the day which will also serve as your floating cottage. There is also a cave you can explore, a zipline, and a hiking area with a cross at the summit.

This national park is at the edge of Nueva Ecija. It's large and very good for hiking / trekking and camping. There's a large river besides where you can swim. Off road vehicles do river crossings here. There's a hotel that's currently not operational. The best part here is the hanging bridge as it gives a beautiful view.

Beautiful natural rock formations. Water is the coldest greenest I have seen in awhile. Trail good for newbies. Facilities not very well maintianed tho. At the same time they should do something about the noisy motorcycles with open pipes coming in and out of the park, this is a protected DENR national park so they should be protecting nature from noise pollution!

A good place to take the kids to have a paddle in the water (make sure to hire the life vests as the current is very strong) but the scenery unfortunately is ruined by the hundred bamboo rafts that ferry the visitors up and down the river (they didn't go more than a couple of hundred metres in both directions). There are toilets and changing rooms with a "shower" and a few picnic huts with tables that you can hire (I think it costs 400 Pesos) a small barbecue is also available with the hut. There are a row of 20 or so vendors selling various snacks and toiletries for use in the shower.
There is a path along the river which leads to a cave you can explore if you have a torch of some sort. Most people used their phone torches to light the way. Do not try to walk along the path barefoot as it has sharp stones and rocks which bloody well hurt! (Yes, I went barefoot and didn't risk going into the cave as a result....)
A couple of zip-lines criss-cross high across the river and is available to the more adventurous. There are a few high spots along the riverbank that you can jump into the river from. Just be a bit careful if you are tall as I'm 6'2" and when I jumped in my feet hit the bottom a bit hard, luckily it was sandy on the bottom so it didn't do me any damage. The current like I said before is quite strong so unless you're a very strong swimmer hire a life vest!
There is also a pilgrimage route to the top of a mountain. The route comprises of a thousand steps (I didn't count them so can't confirm this) at the top of the mountain is a place for prayer with a huge mirrored cross in the center of a circle. It is a tough walk to the top especially in the hot sun so take water with you and take your time.

The best talaga. We held our family picnic here and super babait ng nagaccommodate sa amin, from the time we arrive up until we left they entertained us.
100 is their entrance fee (adult) and 120 for their nipa hut, super sulit kasi the scenery is lovely and you can also swim (we opt na no life vest 'cuz why not?). Highly recommend this for family picnic, batch reunions etc. ☺️

It's a fun way of spending your weekend, nature hikes are available and lots of fun stuff to do. You can swim, rent balsa, cliff dive, spelunking, atv rides, zipline, or brave the 1000+ stairs towards the summit of the nearby hill.
As of recent"february" they are more leniently accepting visitors. Not too crowded as well and very shaded area so you can really relax.
Attached some photos of the river and mostly spend my time braving the stairs.

Beautiful place. We rented a floating cottage which served as our ride to the swimming spot, our locker room, and our lunch venue. The water was cool and clear and had a slightly strong current. The 1,000-step climb to the hill was also worth it as we were welcomed by a breath-taking view.

It is beautiful place for one day trip. Just 3 hours drive from Manila. Vegetarian food is not available so do carry food items without. The lunch at bamboo floating shack is nice experience. The water is clean and you can swim there. Do visit once and have fun filled day amidst nature.

The vehicles are not allowed to enter. One shall park the car and take a tricycle (50 PHP per person) or walk. Bicycle is ok to pass. There are no additional charges than that. There is a concrete path on the right side of the stream that leads to the cave. The is also nice hanging bridge to cross to the other side of the stream.

The Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag
The Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, also known as the Manaoag Church, is a significant religious site in the Philippines. Pilgrims flock to this stately church to pay homage to the centuries-old ivory figure of the Virgin Mary and seek miraculous healing. The church's Gothic and Baroque architectural styles create a captivating ambiance amidst lush surroundings. Inside, vibrant colors and intricate designs adorn the sanctuary, enhancing the spiritual experience for visitors.
It's a beautiful and sacred place. Well maintained in its entirety. Fully equipped with speakers and viewing tv's, which are of great help to accommodate a large number of crowds. Though it's a little bit of frustrating considering that people who visit the church tend to focus first on capturing pictures here and there even though the mass is still ongoing. Should you consider doing photography, you should do it after a mass not during the mass. Consider lowering the volume of your devices for once inside the premises during the mass. Anyways, at the back of the church you can find the candle lighting and offering area. There is a wide variety of candles for different purposes being sold. There is also an available restroom at the back, should you be experiencing the call of nature.

The Church itself is okay, it's also nice to go for a walk, but unfortunately, from my childhood until now, there doesn't seem to be much change and improvement at all, especially for the lower sightseeing area, and the inside of church which will not even be renovated. It would be more attractive if it were more beautiful than before. And of course, the parking area should also be the same before because there was a parking area inside back then but now I think it's gone.

I recently had the privilege of visiting Our Lady of Manaoag, and I must say it was an awe-inspiring experience that left me profoundly moved. This beautiful church, steeped in history, truly deserves a five-star rating.
As I approached the entrance, I couldn't help but marvel at the architectural grandeur of this ancient place of worship. The church's weathered exterior exuded a sense of timelessness, transporting me back to an era of devotion and reverence. Its walls have witnessed generations of believers, and the atmosphere was imbued with a sense of sacredness.
The moment I stepped inside, my eyes were immediately drawn to the breathtaking murals adorning the church walls. These artistic masterpieces conveyed stories of faith and biblical events with such skill and beauty that they seemed to come alive. Each stroke of paint told a tale, capturing the essence of spirituality in a mesmerizing way. It was as if the murals whispered stories of hope, love, and redemption to every soul that encountered them.
Beyond its historical significance and artistic allure, Our Lady of Manaoag embraced me with an overwhelming sense of tranquility. The peaceful ambiance provided a sanctuary for introspection and prayer. As I knelt down to offer my thoughts and intentions, the worries of the world seemed to fade away, and I found solace in the serenity of this hallowed space.
The staff and clergy were warm, welcoming, and accommodating, ready to assist visitors with their queries and guide them through the church's rich history. Their passion for preserving this spiritual haven was evident, and it enhanced my overall experience, making me appreciate the church's profound significance even more.
If you're seeking a place that transcends time, where history, art, and spirituality intertwine harmoniously, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Our Lady of Manaoag. Prepare to be captivated by the splendor of its ancient walls, moved by the intricate murals, and find solace in the peace it offers. It is a testament to human devotion and the enduring power of faith.
My journey within the sacred walls of this church will forever remain etched in my heart, and I am grateful to have experienced the magic and serenity it bestowed.

It’s always nice to drop by and visit Manaoag whenever I travel North. I would really want to make it a practice to light some candles, pray for a safe travel, guidance, thanksgiving and petition for something I am wishing for each time I go here, usually via travel tour with friends. So this particular visit is a very memorable one since it was a first time for me drive here. We even had the chance to get holy water and bring it home. A really nice experience indeed.

I recently visited the Church of Manaoag with high expectations of a spiritually enriching experience. However, my visit was marred by concerning practices that detracted from the sanctity of the place.Upon arrival, I was dismayed to encounter individuals associated with the church who engaged in deceptive behavior. They aggressively directed visitors towards car blessings and pressured them into purchasing unnecessary items, a practice that is highly unethical, especially within a religious setting. Seryoso dumami mga amuyong.
While the vendors of religious items such as rosaries were respectful and provided a valuable service, their presence could not overshadow the negative impact of the deceptive practices within the church.
As a devout member of the community, I urge the management of the Church of Manaoag to address these issues promptly and ensure that all activities conducted within the premises uphold the values of honesty and integrity. Only then can the church truly fulfill its sacred mission and provide a meaningful experience for visitors.
Overall, my experience at the Church of Manaoag was disappointing due to the unethical practices observed. I sincerely hope that the management takes appropriate action to rectify these issues and restore the sanctity of this revered place of worship.
I mean if ganon un experience then oks na pala na magpabless sa ibang church like monesterio church, san sebastian church , san miguel church , etc.

Very sacred tourist spot that everyone that goes to Ilocano region stopped by at this popular church to pay respect. Lots of vendors from candles to food and souvenirs. No parking near the church and has to walk through the vendors lane before reaching the gate of the church. Parking available just follow the barkers and they will lead you to the carpark. This carpark is available from the back of the church only as nothing is allowed to park at the front. Best to walk from the back to the front of the church to see the beautiful facade.
