It offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level. In addition to skiing, visitors can trek to Apharwat peak or explore nearby attractions like Yusmarg for horse riding and fresh water fishing. It's a very well maintained system at the gondola.
Pray that it doesn't snow when at the base or 1st phase, cause if it does then the phase 2 closes down.
They check the ticket and personal ID while entering the place.. do arrive early to avoid the rush. It's a very scenic trip up the gondola... Do plan your tickets in advance and then plan the rest of Kashmir itinerary accordingly...

Some tips for tourists :
* While taking horse rides, communicate clearly about price and distance so that you won't get cheated.
* Cable car is the easy way to the destination. Consider trekking only if it isn't very cold and you are very healthy & you really need to trek. It's a tough trek. Also, travel in groups as there can be wild animals as per the information from local people. Good thing while trekking is that you can walk through the villages on your way up.
* Please be careful not to pollute the place (with plastic).

View was amazing. Lush greenery since we went in July and it was not snowy white as it is in winter. One can observe Different hues of Nature in few minutes of cable car experience.
Most disappointing part was the queue. One of the worst way to managing crowd and no process in place to bring ease to visitors. If it's one queue it is manageable and worth the beauty that we see after long wait, but queue is at every phase and even for coming back, so in total 4 queues. Just for context, we spent about 5 hours in queue in total. cable car viewing plus wait time on top was less than 30 mins. Not worth to the time to spend in the queue. Every single person in queue was complaining.

I had been here with my family in October and literally it was a nightmare . The ticket booking counter was so unorganised , no law and order. 2 counters were there - one for common people and another one for guide. The guides were constantly harassing local people for booking.People were jostling to get a ticket. After paying such a huge price such type of mismanagement is not expected from the authority.
But once the gondola ride starts, everything else just disappears. Panoramic view was available from the gondola. The valley was mesmerizing. We explored the phase one. It was beyond our expectation. Due to shortage of time we couldn't go to second phase. People who want to visit quaint picture-perfect places should avoid this busy place.

This is by far the best place to visit in Kashmir.
Its about 85kms from Srinagar which takes 2-3 hours to reach based on the day of the week.
The Ticket to Phase-1 is Rs 740 & for Phase-2 is 950.
I recommended taking the phase-2 ticket if you actually want to enjoy and play in the snow.
To reach the gondola station is actually a long walk. So senior citizen should take a taxi which takes about 100-200Rs to take you there.
The most time which you will spend is actually standing in the queue which is about 1-2hrs depending on the tourist season.
Many people pay guides and try to cut inside queues slyly. So beware and raise your voice if you notice it.

My experience on the Gulmarg Gondola ride was both exhilarating and challenging. The gondola ride itself offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, making it a must-do activity for visitors to Gulmarg.
However, one thing to note is the long waiting time. The queue for the gondola ride can be quite extensive, often taking around 3-4 hours to get to the front. To bypass the queue, my group decided to hire a guide who helped us navigate through the crowd. Having a guide made the process more efficient and saved us a significant amount of time.
Once we boarded the gondola, the panoramic views from the cable car were absolutely stunning. It felt like floating above the majestic mountains and lush green meadows. The ride itself was smooth and provided a unique perspective of the beautiful landscape.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Gulmarg Gondola ride for the awe-inspiring views it offers. Just be prepared for the potential wait and consider hiring a guide to enhance your experience and bypass the queue.

The Gondola ride is a great experience..although there was a queue of over 500 people approx. I recently had the pleasure of riding the Gulmarg Gondola and it was an incredible experience! The Gondola ride offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, and takes you up to a height of 5000 metres.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Gulmarg Gondola to anyone visiting the area. It is an unforgettable experience and one that you will not soon forget.

Heaven on earth I would say. She is so beautiful and mesmerizing with her nature looks with all green cover around. You can reach there by cable car by online booking or by spot offline booking and ticket costs ₹800. The place is quite crowded. If you visit there during winter you can do more activities there like skiing.
Athira Unnikrishnan — Google review
Nice experience. We had our tickets booked through an online portal. It was a 30 minute wait there. No delay anymore. Phase one was fully covered with ice as it was the first week of April. We did not book the second phase. We enjoyed a lot with some activities such as, slaze, snow biking, skeeing etc. Would love to visit again. Love you Gulmarg.
Satindra Nath Datta — Google review
Extremely disappointing. This place is ruled by middlemen. On the way to Gulmarg, they mislead people to buy gumboot and heavy jacket even when there is no snow. The middlemen take commision and allow people to break the gondola queue. Honest people including very aged people and ladies with babies are waiting in queue for hours and useless lazy young guys are cutting the line and joining the cable car by bribing agents. There are no medical facilities or other amenities on the top, if someone gets dead sick they are left to God's grace. We spent 4.5 hours in queue because of middlemen. There are no police men to control. My piece of advice, Please Save some more bucks, plan in advance and visit Jungfrau, much better deal. Unfortunately, I am saying this being an Indian :(
Location is really scenic. I wish they can do much better job.

It is something everyone should experience when visiting Kashmir. One of the major attractions in Gulmarg.
The Gondola ride is about 10mins but it is worth experiencing. Charges are 750 for a person until Phase-1 and 950rs if you want to travel to phase 2. You can buy the tickets from phase 1 or you can book it online.
Ameer Mohammed — Google review
Fact is the
1 if you booked guide 800rs so he take you directly. Barke the line and add you in middle and officer not say any.. cause of the everything is setting between guide and officers.
2 During snow time charge you more. Car even horse riding Don't give much money..
If you able to walk so must walk from the parking place it's hardly 10 min walk 1.5 km they miss guide you need to go so far and all..
Over all good experience cause of snowfall when we reach. So worth the money.

I recently had the pleasure of riding the Gulmarg Gondola and it was an incredible experience! The gondola ride offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, and takes you up to a height of 4,390 meters.
The gondola is well-maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The ride is smooth and comfortable, and you can really appreciate the stunning natural beauty of the area.
One of the highlights of the ride was seeing the stunning snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas in the distance. It's truly a sight that will take your breath away!

Gondola is one of the best attractions of Gulmarg. Almost all tourists go here. There are two phases of Gondola ride. When we visited only Phase 1 was open. The ride takes less than 3mins and is worth the price.
Best attraction of Gulmarg.

The ropeway in Gulmarg to visit Phase-I & II. One needs to book in advance. It's very costly affair (₹ 800 for phase-I & ₹ 1800 for phase-II). Charges should be ₹ 300 & 500. Advise to use horse to visit instead of Gondola (negotiate horse charges between ₹ 1100 to 1200). It's better to visit Gulmarg from December to mid March when one need not to go phase-I & II because will find snow. at base camp itself.

Very good experience in a Gondola ride. Always book advance tickets. Tme slot is not a matter. They accept same day tickets. Inside you can enjoy it a lot. In the winter season only phase 1 is good enough to see snow. Enjoy with your family.

Heavenly experience. Must see must do attraction in Gulmarg. Book tickets in advance, it costs 1k per person for both phases. Phase 1 takes you to halfway mountain that has variety of activities like skiing, sledging etc. Even if you are not interested, you can spend time playing in snow. Phase 2 takes you to the summit of Aparhat mountain. The view from here is breath taking. Snow covered peaks all around you is a experience you cannot miss

A thrilling experience offering panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas. The two-phase ride takes you to lofty heights, where you can admire snow-capped peaks and verdant valleys. However, long queues and weather-related closures may affect the experience. Nevertheless, the Gulmarg Gondola promises an unforgettable adventure amidst the stunning landscapes of Kashmir, making it a highlight for tourists seeking awe-inspiring vistas.

Non avoidable activity at Gulmarg, without this upper view of Gulmarg can’t be seen. Ticket booking in advance is recommended.Rs.810/ person for 1st stage and for 2nd stage around Rs.1000/person. We have booked 1stage tickets in 10 days advance.

The place was amazing! but the only thing is there was too much rush when we went and had to wait for a while to get on the cars. BUT THE WAIT IS WORTH IT!!!
Do go to phase 2 of the gondola , it’s just heaven out there!

The experience of riding the Gulmarg Gondola is one of its kind! The mesmerizing view of the surrounding looks unreal. We visited in mid December and it had just snowed few days back. The snow covered mountains were a treat to the eyes. You have to take union taxi till the taxi stand as they don't allow private vehicles during winter as you need snow chains. Locals try to sell you jacket and shoes mentioning you will need it in extreme snows. We were asked to pay ~4500, but you can bargain and get those at around ~1000 or even less. Once you reach the taxi stand, you will be asked to take a guide. Gondola ride (Cable car) station is at a walking distance and you can wander the place on your own without any local guide. You can book the cable car tickets online so you don't have to wait in the queue. There are 2 phases, but we just visited the 1st one where you can get to experience almost all the activities. The view on the top is breath taking! You can try out Skiing, ride a Snowmobile or just enjoy the view. Locals try to charge you exorbitant price for the activities, but you can bargain and bring the prices down by almost 80-90% Out of all the places we visited in Kashmir, this was by far the best!

No arrangement for queue management and the persons called Himself as guides will ruin your day if you avoid them wisely. I posted 4 stars because of the beautiful nature. There are 2 phases and the section called phase 2 is more favourite to me. The ticket fee is around 1820 for 2 phases.
ABIN MARTIN MATHEW — Google review
The nature is at its best but the management is pathetic. A lot of improvement required.
Surprised to see only one toilet for 3 different mountain levels. Unfortunately, there is no water most of the time and to make it worst, it is open rarely.
If you have kids or elderly people along, ensure they are comfortable and physically fit before visiting. The waits are crazy in the most challenging atmosphere.

Awesome experience with this ride. Most of the people are went there after 10 in morning , it's better to reach there with in 8 so you can not get rush. After reaching phase 1 go to direct phase 2 . Because if suddenly weather change then it's close

Positive:
Breathtaking views: The gondola ride offers stunning panoramic views of the mountains and surrounding valleys.
Unique experience: Riding in a gondola is a unique and exhilarating experience, especially for those who have never done it before.
Two phases: The gondola has two phases, each with its own set of attractions and activities.
Good value for money: The ticket price is relatively affordable, especially considering the length and views of the ride.
Negatives:
Long queues: The queues for tickets and the gondola can be long, especially during peak season.
Crowded: The gondola cars and the areas around the stations can get crowded, especially during peak season.
Cold: The temperature at the top of the gondola can be much colder than at the bottom, so be sure to dress warmly.
Limited facilities: The facilities at the top of the gondola are limited, so be sure to bring everything you need with you.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
The gondola operates from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Tickets for Phase 1 cost Rs. 700 for adults and Rs. 350 for children.
Tickets for Phase 2 cost Rs. 1000 for adults and Rs. 500 for children.
You can purchase a combo ticket for both phases for Rs. 1400 for adults and Rs. 700 for children.
It is recommended to book your tickets online in advance to avoid queues.
Dress warmly, especially if you are going to Phase 2.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat, as the sun can be strong at high altitudes.
Bring water and snacks, as there are limited food and drink options at the top of the gondola.

The Gandola ride is recommended. Make sure to book your tickets in advance. Prior planning your trip, check out the weather condition. Snowfall would be recommended for the best utilisation of your trip. For any other rides and perks during the Gulmarg, make sure to bargain with those guys. And yes, this is very scheduled, so don’t run away from the time you have to be back on time, so keep watching the watch.

From this elevated perch, the Vaishno Devi temple below appeared like a divine jewel embedded in the rugged landscape. The sense of accomplishment blended seamlessly with the spiritual awe as I gazed upon the sanctum from Bhairo Mandir. The tranquility of the surroundings added a serene touch, allowing for quiet introspection and a deep connection with the spiritual essence of the journey.

Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir (bhawan) is one of the best holiest places in India. The mandir is too high from the Katra and has approx 15 km. Total Yatra or Journey of Holy 'Shree Vaishnav Mata Ji' and 'Shree Bhairav Baba Ji' takes around 12 to 15 hrs. It is very well-managed and beautifully oraganised by the Katra shrine board. Clean toilets along the way, several food stalls, drinking water points for every traveler, many benches to sit and rest all way. Entire trek was very beautiful and 90% shaded. its a life time experience to visit here. After mataji darshan we took rope way to reach bhairav baba temple, whose price is Rs 100 per person. bhairav baba mandir balcony is the great place to take photos/selfie.

Mata Vaishno Devi, also known as Vaishno Devi Mandir, is a popular Hindu temple located in the Trikuta Mountains in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Mata Vaishno Devi, who is believed to fulfill the wishes of her devotees.
The pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi begins at the base camp in Katra, which is about 42 kilometers from Jammu. From Katra, devotees have to trek uphill to reach the temple. The trek is approximately 13 kilometers long and passes through picturesque mountainous terrain.
The temple is situated at an altitude of around 5,300 feet above sea level. Devotees have to climb a flight of approximately 5,000 steps to reach the main shrine, which is located inside a cave. Alternatively, some devotees prefer to hire ponies, palanquins, or helicopters to reach the temple.
The shrine receives millions of devotees every year, especially during the auspicious occasions of Navratri and other festivals. The pilgrimage is considered highly significant in Hinduism, and devotees visit the temple to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi.
It's important to note that the information I provided is based on the knowledge available to me up until September 2021. It's always a good idea to check for any recent updates or changes regarding the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi before planning your visit.

The Badshahi mosque is a grand structure built in the 1670's, showcasing Mughal-style architecture with four towering minarets made of red sandstone. Tourists can spend their first day exploring the old town by visiting this magnificent mosque in the morning, followed by an exploration of Lahore Fort and Wazir Khan mosque.
What a beautiful historical mosque! Great architecture and design; a great Mughal empire masterpiece in the heart of Lahore. The mosque looks incredibly beautiful during sunrise and Sunset! Just amazing views.
The mosque gets very crowded by both locals and visitors due to its popularity. So keep that in mind when visiting the mosque.

In central Lahore is the huge Badshahi mosque. It’s a perfect example of Mughal architecture and remarkable in so many ways. Built in 1637, this was the biggest mosque in the world for more than 300 years and can accommodate 100,000 people at the same time.
It’s pictured on the 500 rupee note and featured on my favorite reality show - the Amazing Race season 3 episode 6. Detour or Roadblock?

The place deserves at least two visits - one during the day to enjoy the experience in full daylight and one in the evening, when the lights are on highlighting the details. Good time is the time of evening prayers and taking the Holly Book to sleep at around 10 p.m. During the day it is worth to visit the place with a local guide who will show you places that otherwise you would miss or have no idea that you could visit like the kitchens serving 40 to 50 thousand meals each day... And you enjoy that beautiful place free. Unfortunately taking photographs in the temple is strictly forbidden - pictures only outside...

The Golden Temple in Amritsar, also known as Harmandir Sahib, is an iconic Sikh religious site and a must-visit destination. It is a place of profound spiritual significance and architectural beauty. The stunning golden structure is surrounded by a serene and picturesque lake, creating a sense of peace and tranquility.
The temple complex is open to people of all faiths and offers free meals to visitors, showcasing the Sikh principles of equality and selfless service. The interior of the temple is equally impressive with its intricate artwork and gilded walls. The atmosphere is often filled with devotional music and a palpable sense of spirituality.
However, the temple can get crowded, almost daily and especially during religious festivals, so it’s advisable to visit during quieter times for a more serene experience. Overall, the Golden Temple is a unique and spiritually enriching place that is well worth a visit for its cultural, religious, and architectural significance.

Beautiful experience in the holiest Sikh place. We visited at night (~9 pm) to witness the “putting to bed” ceremony and it was amazing . We also visited the kitchen and seeing the amount of people eating there was quite extraordinary. Keep in mind you need to take off your shoes and socks to enter the temple, but it is quite clean. If you enjoy this kind of place it is worth coming to Amritsar just to see this temple . The temple is very beautiful 😍

It would be wrong to evaluate the place of this spiritual Guru because the Guru's house is the house of greatest peace and happiness and prosperity, there he is the house of peace and ending the restlessness of the mind. After going there, I felt that God was with me in such a way that I was not worried about any reason, I was just so engrossed in having darshan that I did not even realize that I had seen God with my own eyes.

It is nearby to Golden temple, so whenever you go to visit the Golden Temple you may go before an hour to visit Jalianwala Bagh.

Excellent way to pay a tribute to the martyrs. The shows projected at each of the galleries gave a clear account of the happenings in the Bagh. The light show started at 7 p.m. as we visited during summer and lasted for around 30 minutes. During winter the timing for the light show varies. It is a very noble service and the security guards are very polite and agile. Respect and admire the way the Bagh has been maintained.
One suggestion- They should keep a minimal entry fee as it is one of the tourist attractions with no offense intended to the authorities.

There is a lot of sentimental value attached to this historical place but most forget that they are inside a memorial where mass murder took place, I found most busy taking selfies making reels with pouts and various funny poses. Taking pictures is not a crime but being respectful to the attached sentiments is very important. One other problem with the place is that except the well, everything appeared to have been altered to give a face uplift. Had it been maintained in its original state it would have given goosebumps to all those who visit.

Visiting Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar was an emotionally profound and historically significant experience. Stepping into this iconic monument, I was immediately transported back to one of the darkest chapters in Indian history.
The memorial stands as a somber reminder of the tragic events that unfolded on April 13, 1919. Walking through the narrow entrance, I could feel the weight of the past bearing down on me as I traced the footsteps of those who gathered here seeking refuge and protesting against oppressive British rule.
The bullet marks on the walls and the well into which many innocent lives were lost serve as poignant reminders of the brutality that occurred within these walls. Standing in the Martyrs' Gallery, I was moved by the photographs and artifacts that document the sacrifices made by countless individuals who laid down their lives for the cause of freedom.
Despite the solemn atmosphere, there is also a sense of resilience and hope that permeates the air. The beautifully landscaped gardens offer a peaceful respite amidst the echoes of history, allowing visitors to reflect on the past while looking towards a brighter future.
The monument is impeccably maintained, and the informative signage provides valuable insights into the events that transpired here. The presence of knowledgeable guides further enhances the visitor experience, offering valuable context and answering any questions visitors may have.
In conclusion, a visit to Jallianwala Bagh is not just a sightseeing excursion but a journey through time that leaves a lasting impact on the soul. It is a place of remembrance, reflection, and reverence—a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Indian people in the face of adversity. I highly recommend adding this historic landmark to your itinerary when visiting Amritsar.

Nice place to visit very adventure trip ... ideal for people with absolutely no trekking experience, as this trek will provide them a very basic taste of trekking, whereas for trekkers, it's just a walk in the wild. It's very good experience walking up to Triund through the forest. On the way, you see amazing views of McLeodganj, Bhagsu, & Dharamkot.

We started trekking from Bhagsu at around 9am and reached the top by afternoon. We camped there for the night and returned next day after breakfast.
It was a wonderful experience as there were snow along the trekking trail at some places. The view after reaching the top was amazing and was worth all the effort.

It is a short and beginner-friendly trek, with amazing views of the Dhauladhar ranges, After some hours you can spot the mountains. This is a trek where you climb the mountain attaining a height of 2800 m with a short distance of 6km.

The Truind Trek offers a captivating journey through the serene landscapes of Himachal Pradesh, India. Starting from the quaint village of McLeod Ganj, the trail gradually ascends through lush green forests, revealing stunning vistas of the Dhauladhar range. As trekkers ascend, they encounter charming streams and cascading waterfalls, adding to the scenic allure of the route.
The highlight of the trek is reaching Truind, a picturesque meadow adorned with colorful wildflowers during the spring and summer months. Trekkers can relax and soak in the panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks, including the majestic Triund Peak. Camping overnight amidst this natural splendor offers a surreal experience, especially when the starlit sky casts its magical glow over the landscape.
While the trek is moderately challenging, it is accessible to both beginners and experienced trekkers alike, making it a popular choice for adventure enthusiasts seeking a rejuvenating escape into the Himalayas. However, due to its popularity, weekends and peak seasons can get crowded, so opting for weekdays or off-peak times is advisable for a more peaceful experience. Overall, the Truind Trek promises a memorable expedition immersed in the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayan wilderness.

Awesome place for weekend trip.
You can go there by reaching Bhagsunag waterfall from McLeodganj/ Dharamshala.
from Bhagsunag trekking is there for approx 5-6 hours.
Local food items and resturants are availabe at Bhagsunag, but at Triund no such resturants are there. Cost of foods is also very high (water bottle for Rs. 80)
It would be beneficial to take package prior to going if planning to stay at night at top. Views are scenic at top at day as well as at night.
Round trip can also be planned but trek is to be started early in morning in that case.
Snowfall can be seen at some days. It would be good to enquire about it prior to going.

As we all know whenever we visit Himachal pradesh hill stations they give you contrasting experience everytime, here I’m sharing my point of view on triund trekking which i had visited in the last week in December 2022 with my college buddies and it is full of fun this trek takes Round 4 hours to complete but luckily we completed it in 3 hours with minimal short breaks .one thing you should bring your water and snacks with you from your home or buy them from mcleod ganj or rather Dharamshala whereas price of food goes double in shops coming in the trek route. You must visit this place it gives you bliss experiences here .

Triund is a small hill station situated in the foothills of Dhauladhar Ranges in the Kangra district of Himachal. It lies near Dharamshala and is located at an altitude of around 2850 m. This trek provides majestic views of the hills all around. One gets mesmerised by its heights and the sceneries it provides.
Weather at Triund is pleasant in the summer months. You can feel the cool breeze of the hills as you climb up the hills. The temperature at Triund drops after the month of October and snowfall can be seen in the months of January- March.
The total distance covered in the trek is 7 km. The difficulty level of Triund trek can be considered as easy to moderate. Even the beginners can go for Triund trek. You must be healthy and have good stamina. After 7 km of trekking, you reach the mesmerising site of Triund where the camping is done. Camping under the stars at such a height surrounded by majestic mountains is an experience of a lifetime!

Place is Amazing but There are Important Points To take Care.
1. Its a 4-5 Hours Trek for People from Non Pahadi Cities. And 3-4 when you comming back dependig upon snow.
2.If you are not staying at triund trek camp then start your treking before 9am i.e start your journey at 7.30am from your hotel. Take taxi and reach gallu temple then start treking.
3. This trek is not Children friend. Please avoid to go with clidrens below 14 years.
4. Plese take bamboo and wooden stick from nearby gallu's temple dhabas. It just cost you rs 50 rent and 100 security.
5. Trek is full of sharp stones and narrow paths so be careful.
View is very Amazing spend some time at top have food tea at top, take pics.
6. Try to come back before 5.30 pm

Top view was scenic and breathtaking but i would recommend actual mountain lovers to go on weekdays. During holidays there are a lot of party people with their loud bluetooth speakers destroying the peaceful mountain atmosphere. At top you can enjoy beautiful sunsets, moon rise and sky full of stars. Be sure to carry warm clothes as temperature drops real quick. Don’t rely on just sleeping bags. Have a great journey

Trekked during the month of Jan. And it was completely covered by snow. We didn't expect the level of snow it would have. But it was such a splendid view. We enjoyed to the core. I would definitely visit again and camp there. Two lovely dogs which i fed with half of the biscuits at a tea stall in base accompanied me to the top of the hill. They stayed with me untill i got back. I gave like 2/3rd share of my bread pack to them 😁

Truind Trek was an absolute adventure! The trail is well-marked and offers stunning panoramic views throughout. Here's a quick guide to the trek:
1. Start Early: Begin your trek early to catch the sunrise over the majestic mountains.
2. Moderate Difficulty: The trek is moderately challenging with a mix of steep ascents and descents. Suitable for beginners with reasonable fitness levels.
3. Scenic Beauty: Be prepared to be mesmerized by the lush green meadows, vibrant red flowers, and breathtaking vistas.
Don't miss out on this incredible experience!

Embarking on this trek offers a moderate level of difficulty with numerous breathtaking views along the way. It's essential to wear sturdy shoes and uphold a commitment to avoid littering.
Even if you're a beginner, fear not – with a little precaution and motivation, the trek is manageable. The stunning views encountered during the journey make the entire experience worthwhile.
Beyond the physical challenge, treks like these prompt internal reflections. Amidst the mountains, one realizes their smallness in the vast world, gaining perspective on life's battles. Embrace the journey, capture the beauty, and remember that, in the grand scheme, challenges are temporary.

Truind Trek offers a diverse experience suitable for both novice trekkers and seasoned adventurers. The trek provides breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar range and McLeodganj, Bhagsu, & Dharamkot along the way. It's moderately difficult yet manageable in 4-6 hours, with the option to camp overnight for a mesmerizing starlit experience. However, be prepared for weather changes, as mist may obstruct views at the top. Carry essentials like a torch, and consider staying at the forest guest house or camping. Don't forget to bring raw chicken and drinks for a hearty meal, and capture the journey with an SLR camera. Truind Trek promises unforgettable moments amidst nature's beauty.

We started our trek from shiva cafe ( dharmshala) and it took approximately 6 hours to complete the trek and it was an amazing experience. Trek wasn’t very easy neither was it very tough. The view after completing the trek was all worth it. Triund is surrounded by Dhauladhar Mountain range and the view was breathtaking. We witnessed a beautiful sunset after reaching the top and then a mesmerising sunrise in the morning. Temperature went below zero degrees at night coz of dhauladhar range. Overall if you like trekking and love amazing views then Triund is a must visit place for you.

This is Christ Charch on Uporer Mall Road above Lakkar Bazar an immensely popular attraction of tourists throughout the year. A prominent landmark of Shimla and its silhouette is visible for many kilometres around the vicinity of Shimla city. Christ Church is one of the enduring legacies of the British Raj.It is the second oldest church in North India. Christ Church continues to be well maintained and is in relatively good condition. The clock's original mechanical mechanism has more recently been replaced with an electrical equivalent. However, currently whilst all 4 faces of the clock remain in synchronization, they rarely reflect the correct time.
The church contains five fine stained glass windows. One represents the Christian virtues of Faith, Hope, Charity, Fortitude, Patience, and Humility. It's a place where one can feel the beauty of nature and the popular picturesque landscape also named as '
The Ridge' of Shimla surrounding hills including Jako Hills, the Abode of the Great Hanumaan Temple's and its long portrait. In addition there will be another two legends whose portraits have been installed to remind us of their benevolent contribution for building our choice-able attraction in this part of Himachali Culture.

The mall and ridge culmilate at "scandal point".
While walking at the mall, tourists get scenic view of sculpted traditional himachali art embossed on the mountain side.

The Hanuman temple is a spiritual center in Shimla dedicated to the monkey god. It is one of the most peaceful places in Kufri and has a massive statue of Lord Hanuman. The temple opens at 8am and closes at 1pm, with entry fees being nil.

Serene and calm place to visit. We did the trek up to this temple and it’s a fairly difficult one. Alternate way is the longer route via vehicle. Well maintained and a clean place. It’s the highest point in Shimla & the 100+ ft huge statue of Lord Hanumanji is visible from almost any part of the city. Don't carry any valuables or baggage to the temple as there are a lot of monkeys in and around the temple; they don't harm you as such.

A must visit absolutely peaceful place to visit . Beware of monkeys .
To travel uphill there are various modes one of them is you get a government taxi for 20 rs person one way from near McDonald's/ brew estate . It's quiet a climb so do try stairs only if your are habitual to it . Even where the car leaves there is a little climbing from there and that too on unmade stairs . So for elderly it's best to avoid .

How to Reach : 1. Take Ropeway Approx 500-600 ₹ per person 2. Take a Cab Approx 500 ₹ per Cab 3. Take the staircase.
It is said that Lord Hanuman took rest here when HE was on His way to collect Sanjeevani booti for Lakhshmana. The Lord Hanuman statue is around 108 ft tall and can be seen from Shimla Mall Road & The ridge. It is a very serene place. When we reached Aarti was going on and a local woman (probably possessed) was doing the Aarti and at the end Pujari ji sprinkled Jal on her and she was screaming for a while then back to normal. Didn't get time to explore the story behind it due to crowd.
Pro Tip : Don't wear Sunglasses/ specs or any other valuable ornaments as monkey gangs are looking for it and they will snatch it and you wouldn't even know. Exchange it for the Prasada/Food 😁 Jay Bajrangbali 🙏

There is an option to walk all the way up, only if you have ample amount of time. Lot's of monkeys around. Make sure you don't carry any food items in plastic bags....the monkeys will snatch it. Also keep your cellphone safe. Be careful while taking pictures.

According to the Ramayana, Hanuman stopped at the location to rest while searching for the Sanjivni Booti to revive Lakshmana. A giant 108-feet-high idol of Hanuman was unveiled at Jakhu Hanuman temple on 4 November 2010. At 108 feet (33 m), it surpasses the statue of Christ the Redeemer, which measures at 98 feet (30 m), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The cost of construction was Rs 1.5 crores. The public unveiling was officiated by Abhishek Bachchan.
The temple is accessible by foot, horse, taxi or ropeway. The Jakhu Ropeway is an aerial lift that links a point near the centre of Shimla to the temple. It was developed by Jagson International Limited and opened in 2017.

Shri Hanuman Mandir Jakhoo is located on the top of Jakhoo Hill in Shimla. It is an upclimb from the main road but vehicles reach up easily with some steep routes in between. It is easily navigable via Google Maps.
Legend says that Lord Hanuman has taken a halt at this point while returning back taking the Sanjeevani booti with him for Lord Laxman. It is believed the idol came out magically after he left the hill for his journey ahead.
It's a beautiful temple and the sunset here is magical. The premises of the temple are well maintained and a small parking lot is also made outside the temple for vehicles. The temple has a lot of monkeys and it is advised to keep your spectacles away while visiting as monkeys tend to snatch them for a barter for food. Due to the presence of monkeys, it's believed that the presence of Lord Hanuman is evident.
The temple is also home to 108 foot tall Lord Hanuman statue which is a sight to see. As you enter Shimla, it is clearly visible from afar.
The temple premises has a help desk as well for any queries and bhandaras are also organised frequently for the masses.
It's an unmissable iconic spot if you're visiting Shimla, highly recommended for your Shimla Trip.

This is more than just a lake with lots of fun things to do. For starters, there are several food kiosks with moderate prices and a wide range of selections.
Boating is the main attraction, and there are various alternatives available, including paddle, row, and shikhara boats. The view is spectacular, and there are various additional activities available, such as rock climbing and mini swings, to help you unwind. This is the most crowded spot in Chandigarh, yet it is also the most beautiful. You may unwind and enjoy the scenery while spending the evening with family or friends at a reasonable fee. The boating time is half an hour, but it was well worth it for a paddle with the choice of two or four people in a boat. This is a must-see place in Chandigarh.

The Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh weaves a magical tapestry of serenity and splendor. This picturesque man-made marvel, born from the vision of the great architect Le Corbusier, stands as a true oasis amidst the modern chaos of the city.
Imagine a place where time seems to slow down, and worries melt away like droplets on the lake's glassy surface. Sukhna Lake beckons you with open arms, inviting you to escape the mundane and embrace the extraordinary. The verdant foliage of the Shivalik Hills embraces you like a warm hug. The gentle breeze carries the faint melody of birdsong, setting the stage for a symphony of nature's finest performance. One can have an awesome view of the sunrise over there with cold Breeze and pleasant weather.
Majestic migratory birds from distant lands descend upon Sukhna Lake, transforming it into a vibrant aviary. They paint the skies with their grace, and birdwatchers and photographers alike are left spellbound by this feathery spectacle. As the sun dips below the horizon, the lake dons its golden cloak, and the air becomes infused with the aroma of camaraderie and laughter. Families gather for heartwarming picnics, children chase each other with gleeful abandon, and friends share stories that will echo in their hearts for eternity.

Most picturesque place of chandigarh Sukhna Lake is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally, the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation.
It has ample food joints in the food court, drinking water facilities, boating facilities (Rs 250 for 2 seater boat + 250 as security). Good for nature lovers.

I have been visiting this place for past 20 years and it still holds the charm. It brings peace and tranquility. Walking the entire track feels amazing while looking at the greenery on one side and the water with paddle boats and kayaks on the other side. It's one of the most inclusive public spaces I have come across in India. There are people running, walking, doing exercise, couples, elderly, kids and a lot more. Sukhna has something to offer to everyone. I prefer the Garden of Silence side as it's more peaceful compare to the entrance.
Monsoon is one of the good times as everything is lush green and the lake is full. Winter is also great as you can sit and relax on the toasty stone embankment or the grass and eat oranges and soak in the sun.
It's a place one must visit if going to Chandigarh.

Manki Point, also known as Sanjeevni Hanuman Temple, is a small Hindu temple located on a hilltop in Kasauli. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is home to many monkeys. Visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding area from the top of the hill. The temple was recently reopened after being closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. Visitors are not allowed to bring cameras or phones and must deposit all bags at the check point before proceeding on foot.
So peaceful and beautiful place to visit. It is on peak of the hills of Kasauli.
You need to be fully vaccinated otherwise you won't be allowed to pass the security.
Phones, baggages, snacks and electronic devices are not allowed in there because of the increased cases of monkeys snatching these items.
Taxis' fare is very high.

A 40 minute walk from the parking stand and a 15 steep minute climb from Air Force Station gate. The temple closes at 5pm, so plan your visit accordingly. Mobile phones/other electronic items have to be deposited at the AFS gate.

Kasauli Lower mall Road to Monkey (Manki) point is about 4 KM walk (restricted area, no taxi allowed). After about 2 KM at check point (area controlled by Indian Air Force) all electronic items and bags must be handed overed. Atop small but steep mountain visited "Hanmun temple", small cafeteria, wash rooms are available. Tranquil views with lots pine trees enroute and nice flowers around the walk was quite manageable, had awesome experience.

We rented out cab small car for Rs500, including 5 members in celerio. 10 min rides through car.
Beautiful temple situated at top hill, you need to trek for 15-25 minutes, trek is easy.
Your phone will be submitted at gate entry because it is air force area so phones, cameras are prohibited inside this area.
If you are carrying prashad be alrert because monkey will snatch it while going back, so hide it properly otherwise monkey will snatch it.

There is Hanuman temple at highest peak of hill.
1. Take a cab from kasauli market, it takes 10 minutes to reach there.
2. Its military area so you are not allowed to take any electronics gadgets even phone, smart watch, charger, airpods.
3. At entry gate you can deposit your phone and bag with charges.
4. After that they will give you ID card and ask for checking.
5. Its takes 15-20 minutes to climb only through stairs.
6. You can enjoy beauty of nature in minimum 1 hour and maximum 2 hour.
Note - Only temple is there and canteen is also there at top.
Bohar Singh — Google review
To reach this point one can either get a taxi or walk from Mall road. It's around 4km if you want to walk and it's doable for almost everyone. Once you reach the main entry point, you'll have to show an ID card and deposit any bag and electronics equipment (smartphone/smartwatch/cameras) as most of the reviews mentioned. There is a small deposit fee (50 for a bag with 2 phones). From the main entrance you'll still need to walk 5 mins to reach the main stairway, from where you can get to the top. The view at the top is great but if you're unlucky (like me) and go when there's foggy weather you won't be able to fully appreciate it. The only flaw is that there's no decent food points in the whole complex. The closest one is on the Mall road.

Mandir photos are not available bcz all electronic devices were submitted by Air Force bcz of safety reasons.. Beware of Monkeys please don't carry any items above not even a bottle of water or bag... They ll snatch it for sure and can even hurt you. Leave the Prasad of Mandir also above only.

We have to take a cab from market to Manki point
It takes 50₹ per person one side.
Up there mobile is not allowed and around 500 steps are there upto the top of hill. The view is just awesome.
Above 60 age are advised to think thrice before going up as the steps are inclined and very arduous task for elders.
Sushant Kumar — Google review
The best view point I must say, the place was open after staying closed due to Covid. No camera or phones are allowed, we have to deposit all bags at the check point and then proceed on foot. Situated in a defence area, the climb atop the hill is fun, there are steps in few pathways... but when you reach the top the view is magical and a must see... spending time at the top is very peaceful. Must go. No phones were allowed hence no photos to upload.
Jiji John — Google review
The peace at the temple is worth the climb.
Lunch time at the pass issuing counter is 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
Please make sure not to carry anything that is not permitted. As far as water bottle is concerned, carry as small as possible. There are monkeys on the path and will snatch anything in your hand but will not bother you if you don't bother them.

A divine experience. It is approx 500 metres walk inside the Airforce Complex before you reach the base from where there is an approx 500 metres climb up the hill to the temple. The climb is steep but is not as difficult as some people sound in the reviews. There are enough benches enroute…. one can catch a breath whenever required and continue. It is a proper covered, concrete paved way, interspersed with stairs. There is a restaurant and a Prasad Shop on top. There are a few monkeys enroute but they are used to humans and do not disturb you….. but will grab any eatables…. so do not carry ANY eatables….. even the Prasad on the way down !! Apart from the divine experience, the view from top is breathtaking.
Girish Kumar — Google review
The temple is almost 2.5 kms from mall road parking. You can get taxis from the parking area, personal vehicles are not allowed. The taxis will cost INR 200 one side. You should carry a small bag with you to deposit your phone and smart watch at the counter.
There are staircases and ramp to reach the top. It's a good height of around 500ms to climb to reach the temple. You will take about 30-45 minutes to reach on the top.
You can buy Prasad on the top itself. There is a small shop where you can eat snacks but don't forget to carry cash because you will not have for phone with you and card doesn't work here.
It's quite windy at the top so don't forget to carry a stall or a light sweater based on the weather you can decide
The entry is till 1PM in the afternoon and than it reopens at 2PM. The temple is not closed just at the entry gate where you get passes these people are on lunch break.
It's advised to wear shoes because the stairs are Rocky and good distance to walk.
While coming back as well you can get taxis. Same INR 200 each side.
Be careful with the monkeys. Don't carry eatables which are visible to them. You can have something in your bag or pocket.
Overall It's a good experience

If you're a lord hanuman's "Bhakt" you must visit this temple once in your life.
Manki point or the sanjeevni hanuman mandir is situated inside the air force area in kasauli, himachal and you're not allowed to carry any electronic items inside the airforce area, they provide with paid lockers to keep your stuff.
Then there are mandir steps of 500m but on mount height. It's quite exhausting climbing those steps up, but when you reach on the top that feeling of temple and view from that top is just mind blowing.
Legend behind temple:
The legend says that during Ramayan, when lord Lakshman was injured and Hanuman ji was asked to carry sanjeevni for him, his one foot touched this mount top and hence people made a temple there dedicating to him.
Kempty Falls in Mussoorie is a popular tourist destination that offers a stunning view of cascading waterfalls, pools and boating with vantage points and cafes. The site comprises seven waterfalls, which make for an awe-inspiring sight. Visitors can hike to the top to enjoy more breathtaking views of the falls. This attraction is perfect for groups of friends and families looking to spend quality time together. However, it may not be suitable for young children as it is located on a mountain.
The waterfall flows under a bridge. It's absolutely free to visit. You need to park you car slightly before or after the bridge. You can take the stairs and go to higher levels of the waterfall. There are shops where you can change and rent swimming trunks to take a dip in the waterfall. One such shop is absolutely free. There are also a few local food shops as well. Overall it's a good tourist attraction.

The Kempty falls itself is very pretty and the water appeared white and clear(just like you might have seen in some pictures). You can either walk or take a cable car ride to see the waterfall. You will see hundreds of people getting into the water and having fun. There are a few lookouts to to enjoy the waterfall and take pictures. Kempty Falls was only 5 kilometers from our hotel JW Marriott but I guess is a good 45-60mins. drive in a car from Mussoorie(depending on the traffic). Stop littering and save this wonderful spot for others to enjoy as well. The city has a task cut out for them to take action and tidy up this place which I believe is one of the attraction in Mussoorie!

We recently visited Kempty Falls with our family and had a wonderful time. The falls themselves are a stunning natural attraction, offering a refreshing and picturesque spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The sound of the water cascading down the rocks was both soothing and invigorating.
Apart from the falls, we were pleasantly surprised by the nearby market. It’s a great place to shop for wooden gifts and souvenirs. There was a wide variety of items, including beautifully crafted wooden artifacts, which made for perfect mementos. Additionally, the market had a good selection of items for ladies, ranging from accessories to clothing.

Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, is a special place. It's where three important rivers, the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, meet, creating a holy spot. People from all over the world come here to find peace and spirituality.
When I visited Triveni Ghat, I saw a big statue of Lord Shiva watching over the place. People, including holy men called sadhus, gathered there to pray. They chanted "Har Har Mahadev" to honor Lord Shiva.
One of the most beautiful things I saw was when people took a dip in the Ganga river. They believed it washed away their sins and made them pure.
In the evening, a special ceremony called Ganga Aarti took place. Priests in saffron clothes lit oil lamps and sang songs. The sight of these glowing lamps by the river was mesmerizing.
Triveni Ghat is not just a holy place, but also a meeting point for different cultures. It's where traditions from all around India come together.
While Triveni Ghat is a special place, it's also important to take care of the environment and the ghat itself. Uttarakhand is a beautiful state, and we should protect it.
My visit to Triveni Ghat left me feeling grateful for the spirituality and culture it holds. It's a reminder that faith and tradition still thrive in this world.

The first thing that strikes you about Triveni Ghat is the mesmerizing view of the Ganges River. The ghat is beautifully maintained, and the steps leading down to the river make it easy for visitors to take a dip in the sacred waters. The evenings at Triveni Ghat are truly enchanting, with the famous Ganga Aarti, a ritual of offering prayers to the river, filling the air with devotion and peace. The sight of numerous diyas (oil lamps) floating on the water during the Aarti is nothing short of magical.
The spiritual aura of Triveni Ghat is palpable, with pilgrims and tourists alike coming here to seek solace and spiritual enlightenment. The ghat is also a hub for cultural and religious events, making it a vibrant and lively place to visit.
The local market near Triveni Ghat is a great place to explore, offering a variety of religious trinkets, clothing, and local food. You can sample some delicious street food while enjoying the lively atmosphere.

Famous for it's Daily Evening Aarti and sacred baths.
But it's not just a ghat for baths or pooja but a scenic point and due to its length it naturally becomes a walking area, yoga or hangout place.
Well managed by Shri Ganga Sabha, Rishikesh. The ghat is very long with a dedicated area for daily evening Aarti.
Ghat is open 24*7 and has free but limited capacity of parking space.
The ghat has steps and gaurd rails for devotees who need support. It is also wheel chair friendly.
Ghat has chain barriers where people can safely bath, but mostly people prefer to cross it and feel the strength of Maa Ganga.
Ghat provides changing rooms for women and dedicated washrooms for both men and women.
Daily pooja offerings and plastic gallons are available to be purchased from local sellers. Friendly advice: don't hesitate in Bargaining.
If you want to see the magnitude of our most sacred river, it gives you se glimpse of it and you will be mesmerised with the scenary it holds. Elephant is one of the lucky sites you can get on the opposite end of the river bank.

Divine place. There is no word that can describe the beauty of this place. Evening Ganga Arti is absolutely Divine experience that I ever had in my life.

Beautiful Ganges Puja at Triveni Ghat. Reach before time to get the best place to sit and view the arti. if you want the first 3 rows then buy the aarti ticket costing INR 500 per person. If you just wanna enjoy aarti then reach around 5-5,30 and grab a seat from the 4th row. post that you would be stopped from seating in the first rows as they are reserved for aarti people. Rest you get an amazing experince of the ganga aarti.

You want peace, serenity, divine bliss and maa ganga - you go to Triveni ghat.
In case you're planning to attend the evening aarti, I recommend going at least 30-45 minutes before the scheduled time to secure a good spot from where the aarti can be seen peacefully. The place gets very crowded on weekends.
Aarti is followed by keertan which is a vibe in itself!

The Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat brings you so much closer to Spirituality. I have experienced goose bumps when the pandits start the aarti and do all the movements in sync with the music . The feeling that they are surrendering themselves to the River Godess Ganga is overwhelming. It is an amazing experience and brings you closer to yourself.

Suchna Parasaran Kendra Harki pauri, Haridwar, Uttarakhand 249401, India
Har Ki Pauri is a must-see in Haridwar, known as one of the most emblematic sites of the Hindu religion. It is famous for hosting the Ganga Aarti at nightfall, drawing thousands of faithful who gather to lay flowers or light candles on the banks of the Ganges. The ghat is surrounded by various bakery and cake shops, offering a variety of sweet treats and baked goods for visitors to enjoy after experiencing this spiritual and cultural landmark.
Set amid hilly lawns & trees, this tranquil artificial lake has waterside paths & boat rentals.
Overall a great experience. Well maintained lake by the Garhwal rifles regiment. Very well maintained gardens and Well organized boating activity. Clean bathrooms in the vicinity (chargeable). There is a single ticket that covers the entry into the garden area and the boating charges - nominal at 150/head.
We visited over a long weekend and it was crowded. There was a brief waiting to enter since the gardens were a little crowded.

This place is ideal for nature and peace lovers as this place is mainly an artificial lake and encircling it is a garden with a lot of variety of flowers and other ornamental plants. There is also a kids park inside and a lot of benches are present for people to sit and enjoy their time in this park. At the centre of the lake a wooden bridge is present where one can take photographs of their own. Boating is present and it is included in the entry fees which is 150 rupees. Boating can be done at your own risk. But still life jacket is available free of cost. And the boats are paddle boats.

Well the entry ticket is for 130 (in dec 2021) which includes compulsory boating and without it the tickets are not available. So you have no other option. One can visit in the early morning if visiting in winters to feel the both of light breeze and sunshine. If you are visiting on weekends please don’t expect entry till 5pm. I went on weekends and they closed the entry at 4pm due to crows for boating. The cost is around 150/- per person. You can do boating, ride on giant swing, do archery, jump on trampoline, and many other activities. There’s a cafe inside the premises and washrooms are also available inside the premises. Just visit an hour early before closing time to avoid rush as there is no ticket just for entry and you might end up paying full amount without boating

Its a beautiful place under the Army's control. This is a small but beautiful park and has a small lake inside. The lake has paddle boats for ride. Cost of the ticket for entry to the park includes the boat ride as well. However, boating is not allowed while its raining. There is a canteen along side. The canteen provided snacks, food items and beverages at a comparatively reasonably price.

Itmad-ud-Daula, also known as the Baby Taj, is a stunning Mughal-style mausoleum made of white marble and adorned with semi-precious stones. Built between 1622 and 1628 by Nur Jahan for her father, Mizra Ghiyas Beg, it is often considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal. The mausoleum features beautiful towers and a distinctive square top, set amidst luxurious gardens and composite buildings.

This is open from sunrise to sunset. It is made up of white marble so some say it as a mini Taj Mahal and it has four doors. Back door is facing Yamuna river and the view is beautiful. You can sit here and enjoy the view. The art work on marble is beautiful and amazingly well done. Inside this, there are 4-5 graves are there which are present in four different corners of this monument. Rest this place is beautifully maintained by authorities.

The Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula is dedicated to Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the father of Nur Jahan. Itimad-ud-Daula was his title. This mausoleum situated on the banks of river Yamuna was constructed in 1626_28 AD. There are many things in this mausoleum, known as Baby Taj, which were later adopted while making the Taj Mahal. People say that at many places the carvings here look more beautiful than the Taj Mahal. Another attraction of this mausoleum is its dome made in the Central Asian style. The gardens and paths here enhance its beauty even more.
This mausoleum is the first mausoleum built in India which was made entirely of white marble. Pictures of trees, plants, animals and birds are engraved on its walls. Here and there the pictures of men can also be seen which is a strange thing because in Islam it is forbidden to use human beings as an object of decoration. Because of its beauty, this tomb is known as the Jewel Box.

Itmad-ud-Daula, often referred to as the "Baby Taj," is a gem of Mughal architecture nestled along the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. This exquisite mausoleum holds historical significance as the tomb of Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal, for whom the Taj Mahal was built.
You must visit this place whenever you are in Agra. Most of the people forget to visit this place. If you are a photo lover, you must take some time to take videos and photos.

This is an under-visited and underappreciated site that you should go see. It really gives you an idea for where Shah Jahan got the ideas for the Taj Mahal. As you can see from my pictures, there was almost nobody there, and it was pleasant to walk around.

Itimad-ud-Daulah, otherwise known as the Baby Taj was very good for gentle scroll.
This was the first Mughal tomb to be built entirely of marble. Gentle walk by a large garden make you think about both mouseleums.
Baby Taj was built by Nur Jahan and completed the construction of the building of the Tomb of her father in 1628 AD, nearly 7 years after his death.
Taj Mahal was built in period of 1632 to 1648.
Shah Jahan's favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, was the niece of Nur Jahan,. Mumtaz Mahal. died suddenly in 1631, after giving birth to the couple's fourteenth child. She is buried today directly under the center of the great dome of the Taj Mahal. in her memory by her deeply grieving husband.
Hmmm.....makes you think.......
Definitely worth visiting.

The Taj Mahal was inspired by Itmad-ud-daula , 30rs ticket. Along with the main building, the structure consists of numerous outbuildings and gardens. The tomb, built between 1622 and 1628, represents a transition between the first phase of monumental Mughal architecture primarily built from red sandstone with marble decorations, as in Humayun's Tomb in Delhi and Akbar's tomb in Sikandra – to its second phase, based on white marble . Located on the eastern bank of the Yamuna River, the mausoleum is set in a large cruciform garden criss-crossed by water courses and walkways.
The tomb is a must visit , less crowded, parking facilities available.

No need to describe this place for anyone. The sheer massiveness of this place and the story attached with it is enough to make you visit this place. It's a wonder how people with no modern technology built such huge forts and it's still standing. The fort is open everyday. You can visit the fort at any time. The fort opens at 6 in the morning. You can buy an online ticket before hand if you like. But this place doesn't get that crowded so you can choose to opt for buying tickets at the counter also. It's rs 50 per person for Indians. If you want to know about the place in detail you can opt for guides. But bargain with them as the rates can be very steep at times. Taj Mahal, a 17th-century marvel in Agra, India, is a Mughal-style mausoleum made of marble. It features minarets, a mosque, and meticulously designed gardens. Rudyard Kipling described it as an embodiment of purity and beauty.
It's magnificent.. but there's better marble work in Mt.Abu.

Marvellous piece of Architecture. In India there many places with great architecture. This monument is worth visiting. Better to book online tickets and avoid long queue. Early morning is best time to visit less crowded and peaceful. Drinking water is available inside gate no need to carry bottles avoid plastic.

Here, you will get the image of the monument reflected on the water. However, it is a crowded spot so you have to wait for your turn to be able to position here, and quickly take your shots once you're in front as others also want to be in this prime spot.

Cherish your moment there, an iconic heritage site. No wonder it's among the wonders.
Go to the site during proper day light and spend time till evening to enjoy the sunset moment.
The normal entry ticket costs 50 per head, whereas to the podium it will be 150. Of course it's worth visiting and look at the artworks from close eye distance. Keep your token handy, as it is required while exit.

As expected a truly incredible experience. It was magnificent and worth hiring a guide to explore the entire area. Recommend using the restroom before entering the grounds as they are very limited there and not great. Make sure to look at the detail
In the marble with all of the exotic stone inlays (by hand) in the dome.

Always a stunning place to look upon, with a mesmerizing and breathtaking view, no matter how many times you have visited. Recently, a main mausoleum ticket has been introduced, costing ₹150. For those visiting for the first time, they might consider buying the ticket, but I suggest not to. There's nothing inside worth spending an extra ₹150 for , the main entry ticket is for ₹50 (also don't buy those shoes cover outside, you can get them for free at the main mausoleum entry and you only need them for main mausoleum )

How can you not visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World?! This palace is simply amazing and beautiful. I have no words for this beautiful structure. Beyond its beauty, there is a powerful story of the history, involving family, murder, imprisonment, death, and memorial after death. Despite seeing a lot of other visitors there, it didn’t feel crowded. And once you entered inside to see the replica of the tombs, you entered in single file that seemed to move along quickly. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful and overall it was fairly clean. Getting back was a trip! Waiting for the golf cart transport with the other visitors, there was no proper order or manners-so you gotta be quick if you want a seat on the transport back!

No matter how many times you have visited this wonderful monument, every time it feels so different and so amazing and it really would be a monumental regret of your life to not have visited this monument once in your lifetime.
It's like this monument has a life of its own and you too will feel it when you are near to it.
No wonder why many dream of visiting this wonder everyday.
I wish I get a chance to visit this beauty again!

No doubt it's one of the 7 wonders of the world. Spectacular, Beauty created with great architectural skills. Hire a guide there and you will get so much more to know. It will take around 1hour 30 minutes for a full tour with a guide. It has been created so thoughtfully ages ago that you can't imagine. The symmetry in architecture, the 2D designing giving 3D illusions, the carvings of gems and the way they glow in light, I was so amused to see all that which I didn't know earlier. I admire the beauty but more than that the architectural skills. Must visit atleast once in a lifetime..

Well managed but for the first timers, it can be tricky to take autos from the car parking as autos are only allowed till a certain point. It is best to take government run battery buses from parking to entry point. From there just a 2 minute walk and one can buy entry tickets before getting in the queue. A big racket and ruckus about shoe covers, so please buy them in advance !

Very nice maintained world heritage monument. Recommended to arrive at Taj early morning from 5:30 - 6:00 am when the queue is not there. Wheelchair are available free. Battery cars take you from the parking for a nominal fee of Rs 20/- per person.

Historical Monument of India and one of the seven wonders of the world. It is still charming though many years have passed. There is brilliance and accuracy in every portion of the monument. The area is taken care very well. The garden is Maintained well. There are plenty of visitors visiting each and every day from different places and countries. Thanks to the authorities for the timely maintenance and protection given to it.

Nice and impressive building. We couldn’t make the most of it due to the fog during the 2 days we stayed in Agra.
So crowed.
The access to the building from the city is a chaos. This should be considered and improved for one of the wonders of the world.

It’s a must visit destination in india
It is an architectural marvel and an enduring symbol of love. Its stunning white marble facade, intricate carvings, and symmetrical gardens attract millions of visitors annually. While some may find it crowded, its historical significance and breathtaking beauty make it a must-visit destination. However, preservation efforts are essential to maintain its grandeur for future generations.
I would recommend hiring a guide as it will help you in entry and will click your good pics as they know the trending pics also

Very nice place feeling is good.
Absolutely stunning and marvelous; must-see in your lifetime. Even if the journey is long for you (40 hours for me to get here from Florida) it is worthwhile getting to see this fantastic structure. I highly recommend you pay for a guided tour as it will be educational and efficient. The great photography was a bonus! Indescribable the setting and the architecture as well as the love story here. Hire a local photographer for their digital copy then you don’t have to worry about getting nice photos. They know the nice shots for you. You could get a paper copy as a choice. Go to the other side across the river as well to see from a different view. It looks different depending on the time of day.Spectacular! Great history and amazing architecture! Must see whilst visiting North India. Absolutely loved it. Although if you are non Indian tourist, you have to be careful with local tour guides and shop owners not to try to charge you few times more for services and items.

Even if the journey is long, you should consider taking a guided tour. It is an amazing structure to see. The great photography was an unexpected bonus! The location, architectural design, and the love story are incredible. You can hire a local photographer to obtain high-quality pictures. They will help you take pictures of your choice. You can also purchase a hard copy. You can look at it from another perspective by crossing the river. It is different at various times of day. It is an amazing history and an amazing structure! It is something that can be appreciated while visiting North India. It was marvelous. While it may be hard for non-Indian tourists to find local guides and shopkeepers who will not try to overcharge them for services and items, it is very worthwhile.

This is a heritage monument related muslim religion. Good architecture, moderately maintained. You can buy cold drinks and snacks inside the monument campus. The small garden was properly maintained and the place was clean. I missed the opportunity to visit the entire place as my mother was having problems with so many stairs. I personally feel that the entry ticket is highly priced as you have to pay to the guide in addition to entry tickets. Otherwise the place is good.

It is said that this monument is build of 5 types of lentils. The nawabs use to attack the Britishers from the Bhul bhulaiya situated inside. Also there are treasures buried under this monument which no one can find out as keys have been dismissed. Also there are pathways situated under this fort which opens out to Delhi, Hyderabad and some other major cities. The interiors were very beautiful and I was amazed to see the maze or the bhul bhulaiya which has been constructed so well. The view from the top is also amazing. An iconic place to visit in Lucknow. The most interesting part is the Bauli. The inside of the main building is way too crowded. No body follows Covid norms. If you are a photographer you will have hard time finding a clear frame as this tourist place is too busy. Also, we felt the old structure could have been more maintained and well taken care of. The tourist department has not paid much attention to the maintenance of the old iconic building.

Too much restrictions too much of commercialization and rigid handling that you miss the elegance of this place.
Built by the Nawab of Awadh in for Azadari remembrance, this is elegant and amusing in its construction. It has 45 ways to the inside but just two leading outside.
Too many restrictions and conventional rigidities make the experience bad but this is a must visit monument in Lucknow.

This imambara is the second largest after the Nizamat Imambara. The building complex also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya (the labyrinth), and Bowli, a step well with running water. It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace, but only two ways to come back, which is through the first gate or the last gate. It is an accidental architecture. It was also a relief measure during 1780 famine providing employment generation.

I've found this place good. It has been kept well by the govt despite of the fact that huge number of people visit here everyday. However, I found that the rate of tickets were at the higher side. 300 for the age of 16 and above is absolutely unnecessary. If this is considered as a place of worship then let people enjoy some rebate on ticket rates. Overall good experience. Cheers.

History - The Bara Imambara, located in Lucknow, India, is one of the most famous imambaras in the world. It was built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, the great Nawab of Awadh, in 1784 to provide employment to people during a major famine in the region. The complex includes the main building, the Asfi Mosque, the Bhul-Bhulaiya (a labyrinth), and a stepwell known as Shahi Baoli.
The main hall of the Bara Imambara, also known as the Asfi Mosque, is one of the largest vaulted galleries in the world and does not use any pillars or beams for support. It's a remarkable architectural feat of the Mughal era. The central hall is used for religious gatherings, particularly during Muharram, when processions and ceremonies are held to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain.
The Bhul-Bhulaiya, or the labyrinth, is a fascinating maze of corridors and passages within the complex. It is said that even though it's easy to get lost inside, one can find their way out by following specific routes.
The Bara Imambara stands as a significant historical and cultural landmark in Lucknow, attracting visitors from all over the world who come to admire its architecture, explore its mysteries, and learn about its rich heritage.

It is among top of Must visit places while you are in Lucknow. Architecture is really amazing and
The Bara Imambara is one of the most famous monuments of the city. It is also known as Asfi Imambara, as it was constructed in 1784 by then the Nawab of Awadh, Asif-ud-Daula. The best part is that it was built as a part of relief project for a major Famine that took place in 1784 (to provide basic necessity to their people by giving them work).
Buildings is a 4 story and built without the use of iron bars. Whole Imambara contains Main building having large halls and Labyrinth, Badi Bouli, and asifi Mosque.
Labyrinth (Bhool Bhulaiya) in it's wall is well ventilated has stairs and connection to tunnel (currently closed) which connect it to places like Allahabad, Faizabad, Delhi and the gomti river. It contains steep stairs so not recommended for extreme age people and for those who have knee issues.
Another peculiarity is that at some places wall is constructed in such a way that wishers can be heard form long distance through walls.
Timings: Remains Open from 06:00 am to 05:00pm all day except Monday. Bhul bhulaiya (Labyrinth) opens at 09:00 am, so it's better to visit accordingly.

In Hindu tradition, Triveni Sangam is the confluence of three rivers that is also a sacred place, with a bath here said to flush away all of one's sins and free one from the cycle of rebirth
Triveni Sangam is the confluence of the Ganges (Ganga), the Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati River. Triveni Sangam is located at Prayag – the area of Prayagraj neighbouring the confluence; for this reason, the confluence is also sometimes referred to as Prayag.
At Triveni Sangam, the Ganges and the Yamuna can be identified by their different colours – the water of the Ganges is clear while that of the Yamuna is greenish in colour. The third river, the mythical Saraswati, is called invisible.
The auspiciousness of the confluence of two rivers is referred to in the Rigveda, which says, "Those who bathe at the place where the two rivers, white and dark, flow together, rise up to heaven."
A place of religious importance and one of the sites for the historic Kumbh Mela held every 12 years, over the years it has also been the site of the immersion of ashes of several national leaders, including Mahatma Gandhi in 1949.

Triveni” means “three rivers” while “Sangam” means “confluence” in English. Triveni Sangam is the confluence of three rivers. The Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj (formerly known as Allahabad) is the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. It is a holy bathing place for Hindus. Bathing in the Triveni Sangam is believed to wash away all the sins of mankind. Every 12 years this place conducts "Kumbha Mela" on the banks of Triveni Sangam & every 6 years "Ard Kumbh". Kumbh is a festival celebrating the faith of drops of nectar that fell here while being carried away by the god after the churning of the sea.
“Playwright Kalidasa describes the confluence of the blue waters of the Ganges and the Yamuna as if they were intertwined like a string of pearls and sapphires or a garland of white and blue lotuses. Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj is the confluence of three rivers namely Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Of these three rivers, the Saraswati is invisible and flows underground and joins the other two rivers from below. The muddy, pale-yellow and mica-laden and stagnant waters of the Ganges merge with the mighty, blue waters of the Yamuna.. The Ganges is only 4 feet deep, and the Yamuna is 40 feet deep during the annual flood here, where the confluence can be seen. Sangam or Sangam is a tirthasthan or shrine. Bathing here not only washes away sins but also frees you from the cycle of birth and death. A shrine is a ford; The tirthasthanam allows believers to cross the river of consciousness from the earthly realm to divinity and immortality. It is known as Sangama Raju or Prayagraj.

The Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj is the confluence or the junction where the three rivers namely, the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers meet. The word Sangama comes from the Sanskrit word meaning confluence. The confluence point is considered an extremely sacred place and a bath taken here is said to eliminate all the sins of a person.
The three rivers can be identified separately by their different colours. Pilgrims travel from across the country to visit this holy place and the site has also been the place of immersion of ashes of many noteworthy national leaders like Mahatma Gandhi.
This religious place also hosts the significant Kumbh Mela every 12 years. The place itself is an immensely peaceful and beautiful place. The Mela attracts tourists from all over the world and the devotees get to witness a procession of grandeur and celebration. Those who are fascinated by the culture and tradition of India pay a visit to the place during this time. Triveni Sangam is a sacred confluence of three rivers - Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, located in Allahabad, India. It is considered to be one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus and is believed to have immense spiritual significance.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Triveni Sangam and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The moment I reached the site, I was struck by the sheer beauty and serenity of the place. The confluence of the three rivers was a sight to behold, with each river having a distinct color and flow, yet merging seamlessly together.
The atmosphere at Triveni Sangam was filled with a sense of devotion and reverence. People from all walks of life, dressed in traditional attire, could be seen taking a dip in the holy waters and offering prayers to the deities. The sound of bells, chants, and hymns added to the spiritual aura of the place.
One of the most fascinating aspects of Triveni Sangam is the belief that a dip in its waters can wash away one's sins and bring salvation. This belief is what draws millions of devotees to this sacred site every year. I too took a dip in the holy waters and felt a sense of purity and peace wash over me.
Apart from its religious significance, Triveni Sangam also has a rich historical and cultural heritage. It is believed that the city of Allahabad was founded at this very spot and has been a witness to many important events in Indian history. The Kumbh Mela, a grand Hindu festival, is also held at Triveni Sangam every 12 years, attracting millions of pilgrims from all over the world.
The infrastructure and facilities at Triveni Sangam were well-maintained and organized. There were designated areas for bathing, changing, and offering prayers. The authorities also ensured the safety and security of the visitors, which was commendable.
In conclusion, my visit to Triveni Sangam was a truly enriching and spiritual experience. It is a place that holds immense cultural, historical, and religious significance and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a deeper connection with their faith. The peaceful and serene atmosphere, coupled with the breathtaking views, make Triveni Sangam a must-visit destination for all.

Loved the place , but hated the peoples around this place.
Pros:
The place is very well maintained and clean. And the importance of this place is very high in Hindi tradition.
In Hindu tradition, Triveni Sangam is the confluence of three rivers that is also a sacred place, with a bath here said to flush away all of one's sins and free one from the cycle of rebirth.
Cons:
All will try to extract money from you. It includes Boat sailor, coconut sellers, parking spotters, Boat police, etc

It is an awesome and inspiring place. where three sacred rivers, the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati, merge together called triveni sangam. Having recently visited this remarkable place.
It takes 1 & 1/2 hour to reach this place through kashi. Boat rides are also available. But we have to sit with legs folded as the boats here do not have foot rest compartments. Might be a bit difficult for people’s. There are no changing rooms

Triveni Ghat, also known as Triveni Sangam, is a significant and revered site located in Prayagraj, India. It holds immense religious importance as it marks the confluence of the Ganges (Ganga) and the Yamuna rivers, with the mythical Saraswati River believed to flow invisibly at this sacred junction. This confluence is often referred to as Prayag, given its proximity to the area of Prayagraj.
One of the remarkable features of Triveni Sangam is the distinct colors of the Ganges and the Yamuna. The clear waters of the Ganges juxtaposed with the greenish hues of the Yamuna create a visually captivating sight. This natural phenomenon adds to the enchantment and mystique surrounding this holy place.
The Rigveda, one of the oldest texts in Hinduism, recognizes the auspiciousness of this confluence, stating that those who bathe at the junction of the two rivers shall rise up to heaven. This ancient belief further deepens the spiritual significance of Triveni Ghat.
Apart from its religious value, Triveni Ghat has played a vital role in historical events as well. It has served as a venue for the renowned Kumbh Mela, a grand Hindu pilgrimage that takes place every 12 years, attracting millions of devotees from around the world. Additionally, Triveni Ghat has witnessed the immersion of the ashes of notable national leaders, including Mahatma Gandhi in 1949, adding a historical and patriotic dimension to its importance.
Visiting Triveni Ghat offers a profound spiritual experience and an opportunity to witness the confluence of two majestic rivers. The tranquil atmosphere, combined with the religious fervour and historical significance, makes Triveni Ghat a must-visit destination for anyone seeking spiritual solace and a deeper connection with India's rich cultural heritage.

This is my 2nd time to Triveni Sangam. Please plan to go in the very early morning to avoid crowds. I was here around 5:39 am and literally just us but with in 1 hr the place got crowded. Please take a small empty water bottle to collect the river water. You also can buy empty bottles there don’t worry of you don’t have. People are nice specially the boat drivers. It’s a must see in your life. It’s one of the traditional place where you can put cremate ashes in here. There are 3 place where you can do the last spiritual function in India. As per I found out. Please check with your gurus. 1- Triveni Sangan( Uttar Pradesh) 2- Rameshwaram( Tamil Nadu)and 3- Vishnu Pad (Gaya, Bihar). So if you have time to visit all 3 please do so. Also please visit Allahabad( Founded in 1583) Fort just there and if you want to buy original Rudraksha just next to there and also visit the Hanuman Temple there.

I went to triveni sangam for the asti visarjan.
I want to share how the prices looks like and which can help the others.
Boat personal for 2 people : 1000inr
Puja saman: 100
Priest: 2000
Near sangam for boat stand :100
Near sangam I used 3glasses of milk they charge :100
Near sangam when I'm doing asti visarjan in to the river they charge :500 (I don't know why!!!)
Again when I'm coming back the boat sailing person ask me to give tip 300 but I gave only 100.
Total: I paid around 3900
Please be careful when you are with priest they ask money for sweets or Dan so if you want you can give how much you need but it's not mandatory. Instead of giving big amounts of money better to donate that money in annadanam.
very good atmosphere and feeling blessed
I took taxi from subedarganj to triveni sangam to kasi Vishwanath temple and then dropping to railway station in Banaras. Total trip I paid 3500 .
Please be careful with money..

Mother Ganga: Vaishnavas and visiting devotees from across the globe, often bathe in the Ganges, and offer prayers and offerings to Ganga Devi. Ganga Devi cleanse them of their sins and impurities, and she brings them closer to Krishna.
The Ganges River is also a symbol of the spiritual journey of the devotee. Just as the Ganges flows from the mountains to the sea, so too does the devotee's spiritual journey lead from the material world to the spiritual world.

Sarnath is a location situated in Uttar Pradesh, India, approximately 10 kilometres northeast of Varanasi. It's located at the confluence of the Ganges and Varuna rivers, and it holds significant historical importance for Buddhists. Gautama Buddha first preached the Dharma at Sarnath's Deer Park, which led to Kondanna's enlightenment and the establishment of the Buddhist Sangha.
The Hindu temple Dashashwamedh Ghat is a popular religious site on the banks of the Ganges River. It is frequented by people of all faiths to witness the elaborate evening aarti ceremony held every Tuesday. The ghat remains crowded with devotees, sadhus and sanyasis to witness the famous ceremony.
The most well maintained and cleanest ghat amongst all ghats in Varanasi. This is the most prominent ghat and a tourist planning to visit Varanasi must consider Dasaswamedh ghat as the first preference for stay. Although the roads and lanes are too narrow for a vehicle to enter for dropping or picking up. But the main road is at a walkable distance only and can be managed by one and all provided there isn’t any health issues or physical disabilities. All pick up and drop facilities are available from the main road only.

The ghats are a great and fascinating riverside walk, and for the western traveller let you experience absolute classic the sights, sounds and yes - the smells of India in a couple of miles with no real hassle or pestering. But if you only have time or money for one thing whilst you are there make sure it is the aarti ceremony at sunset.
If you are not Hindu and not taking part in the ceremony be sure to remain respectful and unobtrusive because this is not a tourist spectacle but a sincere and prayerful act of worship for more than 90% of the people there. However, it really is a spectacle: a vibrant, awe-inspiring feast for the eyes and ears.

The present ghat was built by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao in the year 1748. A few decades later, Ahilyabahi Holkar, the Queen of Indore, rebuilt the ghat in the year 1774.
The Ganga Aarti (ritual of offering prayer to the Ganges river) is held daily at dusk. Several priests perform this ritual by carrying deepam and moving it up and down in a rhythmic tune of bhajans.Special aartis are held on Tuesdays and on religious festivals.
The Ganga Aarti starts soon after sunset and lasts for about 45 minutes. In the summer, the Aarti begins at about 7pm due to late sunsets and in winter it starts at around 6pm. Hundreds of people gather at the ghat every evening to watch the event
It is located close to Vishwanath Temple. There are two Hindu legends associated with the ghat: according to one, Brahma created it to welcome Shiva, and in another, Brahma Performed 10 Ashwamegha Yajna, Dasa-Ashwamedha yajna.

The Ghat where religious "Ganga Aarti" is performed in evening. The Aarti is performed at 6:30 pm which takes around 1 hour. Its very pleasing to view this aarti. Visit atleast 30 mins before to get good seat. You can view the aarti from boat or from behind where it is performed.
If you want to see it from boat, take boat from other ghat around 4:30pm to 5 pm. They will give you a round of all the ghats and tell you the story of each ghat after that they will park their boat in this ghat where you can see the Aarti.

Dashashwamedh Ghat is one of Varanasi’s oldest, sacred, and most visited Ghat. It is famous for hosting the Ganga Aarti event where hundreds of devotees and travelers participate every evening throughout the year. Its proximity to the famous Vishwanath Gali makes it a go-to ghat for devotees who wish to take a dip before worshiping Shivling at Vishwanath temple.
Dashashwamedh Ghat which precisely means the Ghat of 10 sacrificed horses (Dash – ten, Ashwa – Horses, Medh – Sacrifice) was earlier known as Rudrasaras in Indian scriptures. Lord Brahma sacrificed 10 horses at Rudrasaras and installed two Shivlings. The place was later renamed Dashashwamedh Ghat to pay respect to him.

The ghat is bustling with various activities, rituals, and ceremonies throughout the day, attracting pilgrims, devotees, and tourists alike.
Dashashwamedh Ghat is particularly renowned for its evening Ganga Aarti ceremony, a mesmerizing ritual where priests perform prayers, offer lamps, and chant hymns in praise of the river Ganges. The atmosphere during the Ganga Aarti is vibrant and spiritual, drawing large crowds who gather to witness the spectacle.
Apart from its religious significance, Dashashwamedh Ghat also has historical and cultural importance. It has been mentioned in various Hindu scriptures and has witnessed numerous historical events over the centuries. The ghat is adorned with several temples and structures, including the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The Mahabodhi Temple is a significant Buddhist pilgrimage center, boasting a rich history spanning 2,500 years. The temple complex features an ornate design and is home to an ancient sacred tree. It is widely believed that Lord Buddha attained enlightenment at this very site, making it a UNESCO World Heritage Site of great importance. The compound includes some of the oldest sculptural elements and serves as a major pilgrimage destination for Buddhists from all walks of life.

Absolutely incredible. Probably the most beautiful temple I've ever been to. Phones + electronics aren't allowed inside, there are lockers right outside for depositing those. Once you enter, take a guide, they'll tell you about all the different sites here, the history of the temple itself, michalinda lake, the bodhi tree and more. The place is covered in the most beautiful flowers, the vibe is absolutely zen, so beautiful! Must visit.

The 80ft Buddha statue is one of the many stops in the Buddhist pilgrimage and tourist routes in Bodh Gaya, Bihar (India). The great statue is a mix of sandstone blocks and red granite. It is possibly the largest built in India and was consecrated on 18 November 1989 by the 14th Dalai Lama. The foundation stone for the statue was placed in 1982.

Beautiful and peaceful religious place. Beautiful temples and monasteries. The main temple is Mahabodhi temple.
Every Indian must visit this place. I went there in November. You can visit in any season but winter is the best time as lots of foreign pilgrims come here to worship. It is the place where Siddharth Gautam got enlightenment and became Buddha. There is a huge baniyan tree behind the main temple.

The Nandankanan Zoological Park is an interesting zoo with a wide variety of animals, including white tigers and pangolins. It is located inside a forest, making it a unique kind of zoo.
Not recommended to visit during summer as the area is huge and walking under the sun will be tiring but still we enjoyed our safari and spent some good time here. The Zoo is well maintained and has enough exotic species like the White Tiger, Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard and Lion.
Zoo also has large variety of crocodiles, reptiles, bears and giraffes.Entry fee is Rs 50/ per person and for safari is Rs 60/- per person. There is a battery-operated vehicle which makes travelling easy within zoo.

One of the best Zoo's of India. Spread in almost 500 acres of land. Very well maintained, spacious and greenery. Different species of Tigers, monkeys, lions and reptiles are found here along with Giraffe, Chimpanzees and birds.
Purified Cold Drinking water and Toilets are available all around the zoo for the comfort of visitors.
Jungle safari and trains are also available for adventures. Electric vehicles for those who can't walk down the zoo specially for senior citizens.
I personally had a lovely experience and would surely recommend this place to visit both for adults and children.

Well worth a visit, just be patient - the entrance to the market square is set back and very busy, but be patient as the real attraction is at the end. It is also very convenient to bring a car with a battery because it is very large. It was amazing to see tigers, white tigers and lions. Tiger safaris are also good and giraffes can also be seen.
Be sure to hire a guide to help you navigate the large zoo. Proof can be obtained once you receive your tickets.
There is a famous white tiger in the zoo and it is worth seeing. Of course, they have ferocious lions and many tigers. Lots of animals - you decide what to see and let the guide know. It takes at least two hours to walk through the zoo at a brisk pace and see all the animals. A must-see attraction! ! !
Overall, my recommendation is - spend time in Nandankanan by yourself and support the conservation efforts. It is a relatively small zoo, especially if you have been to zoos in India or overseas in bigger cities.

Nandankanan Zoological Park is a true paradise for animal lovers and families alike. Spread over vast acres of lush greenery, the park offers a unique opportunity to witness a wide array of exotic and indigenous species in their naturalistic habitats. The zoo's emphasis on animal welfare and conservation is commendable, providing a safe and enriching environment for its inhabitants.
The park's star attraction is undoubtedly the white tiger safari, where visitors can marvel at the majestic and rare white tigers roaming freely in a spacious enclosure. Additionally, the park houses a rich variety of animals, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and a diverse range of bird species.
What sets Nandankanan apart from other zoos is its unique feature of a botanical garden within the premises. The lush gardens add to the serene ambiance and provide an opportunity for visitors to relax and enjoy the natural beauty.
The zoo's dedication to education and awareness is evident through their informative exhibits and regular conservation programs. Visitors can learn about the importance of wildlife protection and the role each individual can play in safeguarding our planet's precious biodiversity.
However, to fully explore the vast expanse of the park, visitors should come prepared with comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water. Some areas might require better signages and directions for convenience.
In conclusion, Nandankanan Zoological Park is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a memorable and educational wildlife experience. Its commitment to conservation, splendid animal exhibits, and serene surroundings make it an enchanting place to connect with nature and wildlife.

The name "Nandankanan" translates to "The Garden of Heaven" in the local Odia languages.
Nandankanan has a beautiful botanical garden with a wide range of plants, making it an ideal place for nature enthusiasts. The zoo is well-equipped with amenities for visitors including a nature interpretation center, an aquarium, a reptile park, and a walk-in aviary.
Visitors can enjoy safari rides in the zoo, including a white tiger safari and a lion safari, to get a closer look at the animals in a more naturalistic setting. We have seen almost all the animals and it’s worth visiting especially with kids. They will definitely have super fun. Even though it needs a long walk it’s worth going for the animals. The animals were also given cute names to call them. The zoo is kept clean and the animals are well taken care off.
Nandankanan Zoological Park is a place where conservation, education, and recreation come together to provide an enriching experience for visitors while contributing significantly to the conservation of endangered species. It is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in wildlife and nature.

I don't really like Zoological gardens but this place was a bit different. This place was clean and the animals looked well fed. We visited this place last in 2015 and it was pretty well maintained. They also had a conducted tour bus to move conveniently inside the zoo and it was mainly for elder people and families with kids.
The zoo area is pretty big and they had a large variety of animals at their zoo. The kids and young adults would enjoy this place very much.

I recently visited the Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar, my overall experience was superb. This offers a wide range of fascinating animals and birds, making it a delightful destination for nature enthusiasts and families. The well-maintained enclosures and the presence of helpful maps and guides throughout the zoo made the visit enjoyable.
The variety of animals and birds present at Nandankanan is truly impressive. The zoo offers a glimpse into the diverse world of wildlife. The information provided in front of each enclosure helps visitors to know about the animals.
However, amid the visit, I have a sympathy for some of the animals living in enclosures. Although efforts have been made to create suitable habitats, still the birds and animals are confined to cages.
Some of the additional attractions, such as boating, flying cars, and the safari train, were not operational during my visit.

A nicely setup zoo. It is located on a plot land with trees and scrubs that seem well equipped to accommodate a zoo. There are the usual animals, but we visited this zoo, especially to ser the indian and white tigers. It was mid day, so they were hiding or not very active. The animals were given a good sized cages with enough space to walk and run. Nevertheless, we managed to see some and take photos.
Apart from the zoo, they also have an area that they call Safari. The animals are given a much larger area to live in, and in order to see the animals, you board a bus that drives you through the different safari zones. The drivers were in a hurry to drive you around, which did not allow everybody to make photos or to observe the animals adequately.

For me, visiting this zoo leads to a good day! There is a different parking spot for the vehicle and it is charged. You need to buy tickets and show them at the entrance gate to get an entry, also you'll encounter a large crowd at the ticket counters. Tickets for individuals as well as for the safari guide are available. Since it consists of so much of diversities that are put together, that includes various animals, birds, and reptiles; you'll not find it boring at all to explore this place with your friends and family. The environment provided to the respective creatures somehow mimics their natural habitat or the wild, as well as their basic needs, are being fulfilled. The creatures where they are enclosed are quite as natural as that of the wild including a room-like space.

Our recent visit to Nandankanan left us feeling quite disappointed. While we were excited to spend a day with our family exploring the park, our experience fell short of our expectations.
The park's layout and organization seemed confusing, making it challenging to navigate from one exhibit to another. We found the signage to be inadequate, leaving us unsure about which direction to go and which animals were in each area. This led to some frustration and wasted time as we tried to find our way around.
Another letdown was the condition of some of the animal enclosures. It was disheartening to see a few enclosures that appeared cramped and in need of maintenance. The animals' well-being should be a top priority, and we were concerned about their living conditions in certain areas of the park.
Furthermore, the cleanliness of the park was a concern. We noticed litter in some sections, which detracted from the overall experience and the natural beauty of the surroundings.
On a positive note, there were a few exhibits that were well-maintained and offered an interesting glimpse into different species. However, these positive aspects were overshadowed by the overall lackluster experience we had during our visit.
NOTE: Scammers alert- DON'T BUY GUIDE TICKET FROM OUTSIDE AS IT'S A SCAM, THEY WILL QUOTE A PRICE OF RS.800/640...BUT IF YOU CHECK THE ACTUAL PRICE INSIDE THE PARK IT'S QUITE CHEAPER.

Nandankanan Zoological Park also offers additional attractions such as the White Tiger Safari and the Lion Safari, which provide a unique opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitats.

A really decent zoo, on its way to become a quite unique zoo. The varieties and quantities of animals they have is not that impressive compared to other famous zoos I've visited. But it is fairly entertaining. They even have battery cars for the elderly who can't walk.
One special point about them is that they have an area where they have separate division for types of animals. Like bear, tigers, lion they all live in a real mini forest made for them and we enter it through a bus. Loved the concept.

Government maintenance is lacking here. Consider hiring a guide; otherwise, you'll just be looking at animals with no context. Guide rates are ₹250 per hour for groups under 10 and ₹300 per hour for over 10 people. Even with a guide, opt for an e-vehicle ticket for a less tiring and comprehensive zoo experience. Instead of a counter ticket, scan for an e-ticket outside the ticket building. Guides may ask ₹500; show them the government rates on the website to negotiate. E-vehicle tickets may have queues but are worth it. Unfortunately we didn't get safari tickets due to crowd. The tour takes 1.30-2 hours; carry a water bottle and eat beforehand as outside food isn't allowed. Remember your cap and goggles after 11 am. The diverse animal collection is fascinating with a guide. Closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly.

Since my initial visit to this zoo in 2010, it has, I believe, seen significant development. However, there may yet be a need for improvement in areas such as cleanliness and visitor transportation throughout the zoo. These days, animals are far healthier. The Lingaraj Temple is a temple complex located in the city of Bhubaneswar, India. The temple is dedicated to Shiva, and dates from 1090-1104 AD. The main attraction of the temple are the carved stone towers and courtyards, as well as the numerous shrines found within the compound.
Couldn’t have asked for more. From hustle and bustle of city to slightly peaceful atmosphere with Lingaraj temple. One of the oldest temple in the capital city of Odisha. Whole temple complex can be seen and photographed from outside the complex from the tower specially built for it. However, Camera and mobile phone are not allowed in to the complex. You can buy flowers and offerings outside the temple itself if you wish to. The temple premises have many small temples of different deities all around.
Things to note:
1. Not allowed to carry mobile phones, there is a counter near the temple to deposit your phones.
2. For shoes there is the same counter so you can submit it there, they charge a minimal amount of around Rs 20 each.
3. For the photo enthusiasts, there is a high wall like structure like outside the temple from where you can click pictures of the whole temple.

Another experience we got to visit the lingaraj temple we are so proud that we were born in odisha such a culture and art. Nowadays the engineers don't even think how to create that type of art but our previous generation already created all of that. You must visit that place to gain the actual feeling that I can't share with words.

The best time to visit is in the off season. I came here in peak season, hence the was a big line of people to enter the temple. Inside the temple no cell phone is allowed. In outside the temple there is a pond and other structures. The beauty and the rest of the things you should experience by your own by visiting by your own.

My overall experience was good. The temple is so beautiful and the architectural works are just wow. So I visited the temple on the occasion of shivratri that's why we have to stand on a long line. But u can directly get the entry if u buy the VIP ticket which is worth of rs 500. So I recommend u to visit the temple on normal days not in festive days.

was fortunate to visit this architectural marvel on Akshaya Tritiya. It's Lord shiva temple.
Temple's most remarkable features are intricate carvings on its wall, back in 10th century. Incredibly, entire temple complex, including the main sanctum was unearthed from beneath the earth. This unique history adds a layer of mystery and wonder to this already captivating site.

I have visited this place on weekday. Very beautiful place. Holistic place. All 108 types of Shivji temples are replicated here. Car parking is available Rs50 per car. No tickets are required for darshan. Before entering into the temple we have to keep mobile and cameras outside of temple in locker.

A famous historic place to see in Bhubaneswar. It is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva.
Security is quite tight there. They do not allow phones, cameras, purses and shoes inside the temple campus. There is a counter to keep all these things near the entry.
There is a huge rush at most times and you have to be patient to be able to get entry into the temple complex.
The carvings are very intricate and beautiful.
A very good example of the architecture and design skills of our history.
One important point: Since this is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, the rush on Mondays is very high. So, it is better to go very early in order to have a darshan.

I was blessed to visit this wonder on Akshaya Tritiya. There is no entry fee. Mobiles are not allowed. Ideal time to visit here is mornings and evenings to avoid the heat.

Great architecture, the main deity is almost at below ground level unlike other Shiva Lingas. There are many small temples inside housing many different Shiva Lingas.
I loved the temple architecture. The only deterrent are the one who does Pooja (Brahmins). They are money hungry, creating constant sounds like put 300-500 on the deity to get blessings. Offer 10 rupees on the foot to get what you need etc.
I would like to hear from them Om namashivaya chants or mantras which create more positive energy.
You are supposed to leave your mobile outside the temple which is a welcome move. If govt does some renovation of dilapidated structures through ASI it will be even great.
Let's make our heritage and religious beliefs even better.

Another hiatorical place pf Odisha. You can spend a large time here if you have believe in god and spiritual matters. The rocky structure and arts in the wall of the temple are also attractions for tourist. However, there so much issue. You need to keep your shoes and mobile outside the temple. There is no proper place to keep them safely. In summer the floor become too hot.
