But Yes, You don't find any convenience stores over there to buy water or anything that is needed.
The beach view, the historical Buddhist monuments over there are simply superb.

Don't be fooled by the renovated structure that sits around now. Those were built only in the last 50 years.
I've posted the pictures of the actual remnants from the said age of this place.
Hire the guide who's there, who'll give you a brief history of the place.
Just be respectful of the place in general and don't climb onto monuments you aren't supposed to.
There's also a brilliant viewpoint of the nearby beach if you walk 200 ft from this monument.
Hope the state government takes care of the stone remnants better than leaving them to be weathered under the sun.

Place is really awesome, ample parking space (30/- 4 wheeler) and 40/- entry tickets. Apart from the buddist constructions there is a park very near by with sea view. Plenty of air makes this place idle for spending time. No shops on top of the hill, so make sure you carry your own water and snacka.

Very nice place but very calm. Good maintenance. Beach view is spectacular. Entrance fee for car is 30 rupees and its worth as you can go all places by car otherwise it's too much to walk. Please carry water along with you as no shops will be there. Must visit place.

There's a nominal entry ticket and car parking charges.

Among the artifacts found during the excavations were a hoard of ancient coins, mainly consisting of Satavahana lead and Roman silver, indicating that the site flourished from foreign trade between the 2nd century B.C. and the 3rd century A.D.
Archaeological evidence suggests that the monastery was supported by local Buddhists and traders rather than a local ruler, and that it was an important cultural and academic center, with many monks coming over from China and other regions to learn and meditate.
The archaeological complex is composed of stupas, chaitya grihas, and viharas, as well as remnants of a kitchen, a dining hall, and rock-hewn cisterns which gave the site its name (Thotlakonda roughly means “hill of troughs” in Telugu.)
The stupa, also known here as the Mahastupa or “great stupa,” is especially notable and often representative of the complex itself. It was partially destroyed during the monsoon season in 2019, but it was restored to its former glory at the cost of Rs 42 lakhs (approx. $31,000 USD) in 2021.
Currently, the Indian government is planning to submit the Buddhist complexes of Visakhapatnam to UNESCO for consideration for World Heritage status. If approved, the archaeological sites should receive the preservation and recognition that they deserve.

A good picnic spot is available here and also good view of thotlakonda beach, if you go here only you have to take vehicle parking ticket. The hill top is about 2.5 Km from DR. This has been my best loved destination during trip Vizag and Arakku. Unfortunately, I had many asking how did I liked the beach and the natural arch; but only few recognized the Vihara at the top of hill, even ahead of the beach and natural arch.
The excavated remains of Vihara, and the view point of arched beach quite far below, are 2 main attractions.
This historic place would need at least 30-60 min to sit back, learn about the history and enjoy.

Had the best experience here. Went for laser show so we have reached there by 6pm. The laser show started at 7. The total laser show takes 18 minutes and 40 seconds, followed by harathi. The place was really spacious. There was peace. Reaching here is also not a tough task. It's easy to reach even for people going from vizag. I would suggest reaching by 6 or before that. The views here before and after sunset are worth watching.

Please one of the powerful temples in Rajahmundry. The dirty Shri Shri Shri Satyanarayan Swami dwells on the hill top. You can have a beautiful view of the entire City from the hilltop. You can reach the top of the hill either through a vehicle on a Ghat road alternately you can choose to climb the well laid steps.
If you choose them vehicle to reach they will talk you need to walk only a few steps.
Independent upon the rush of devotees, you can either have general Darshan in case your in a Hari you can buy special tickets for Rs 200. Even on weekends when the duty is marginally high they darshan of the God can be completed in a couple of hours.
Of course if you want to do any special pooja or Vrata, the ticket charges be higher at Rs.300 and also the time for the Vrata will be longer.

Since the temple is on the national highway road is excellent and the accessibility objective is very comfortable.

This is the one of the dasavatharam temples ( one and only temple) in whole India KURMA AVATHARAM which is located near srikakulam. It’s 25jms away from srikakulam, weekends it will be slightly difficult to find parking, as the roads inside will be bit crampy.
Temple is a swayambu which was self made on its own in 10th century

Here are better arrangements to be done to house all these turtles. In fact after a few years, they will become sick. No exercise for swimming. They feed only small pockets of cooked rice.
They will forget swimming and eating their natural food.
Animal activists should get into

The place is serene with rich history and culture! The staff in the temple are helpful in guiding the devotees. Also, the conversation with the main priest is enthralling over the underground tunnel from here srikurmam, Andhra pradesh to a distant more than 1000kms away Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. His views on current climate change and the latest generation are noteworthy! If time permits, please have a conversation with the main priest!!

Well, it's a nice place, by the road so you can visit it on your way around. A space is provided for the people to bathe in the hot water next to the temple. The water keeps coming up from a vent, you can view it. So you can say it is a tourist spot, with some shops by the road.
Darshan Borgohain — Google review
The hot water from the natural spring of Taptapani is attributed to medicinal properties and can be bathed in at the pond created next to the hot spring. The hot spring is situated at the eastern slope of the eastern ghat at the crest of the hill within the lush green forest having a wide range of flora and fauna.

A getaway place from Bramhapur. The hot water from the spring never stops and its not artificially heated. Take a bath here to get rid of skin problems (as people say). Bath facilities available for ladies as well. A few shops present nearby if you want to snack and offer your prayings to the holy water. Public bath available nearby.

Excellent place for keen devotion & peace.I also prescribe , everyone must attend during evening aarati for 1 hour and spend their time in serving God.
SMIRTI RUPA — Google review
Its core beliefs are based on Hindu scriptures, particularly the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavata Purana. ISKCON is "the largest and, arguably, most important branch" of Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition,[2] which has had adherents in India since the early 16th century and American and European devotees since the early 1900s.[3] ISKCON was formed to spread the practice of Bhakti yoga, the practice of love of God in which those involved (bhaktas) dedicate their thoughts and actions towards pleasing Krishna, whom they consider the Supreme Lord.[4] Its most rapid expansion in membership have been within India and (after the collapse of the Soviet Union) in Russia and other formerly Soviet-aligned states of Eastern Europe

Gopalpur is a coastal town and a Notified Area Council on the Bay of Bengal coast in Ganjam district in the southern part of Odisha, India. Today it is a commercial port, a famous sea beach and a tourist destination. Gopalpur is around 15 km from Berhampur. The reconstruction of an all weather port including new berths is under development.
While you are at Gopalpur, be sure to experience the magical sunrise & sunsets, steal a moment of solitude & enjoy a scenic boat ride.
The casuarina groves that line up the sun kissed beach makes for enchanting sight. The beach is mostly secluded and one of the cleanest beaches in the country.

Gopalpur is amongst the popular beaches in Orissa. Gopalpur-on-Sea is a beautiful and small beach resort located along the Bay of Bengal in the eastern Indian state of Orissa.
Originally it is a small fishing village on the coast of Orissa, it was so named when a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna was constructed some time in the 18th century. Apart from its temple, Gopalpur was distinguished for its magnificent beach and was discovered as a perfect winter resort. Soon hotels and guesthouses lined its seafront. The East India Company built huge warehouses and godowns because the trade with Burma had picked up and Gopalpur had become a trading point for rice from Rangoon. In those days, there were dances and parties that continued until the early hours and wealthy Bengalis from Calcutta made it their holiday home. Till Today Gopalpur is amongst the popular beaches in Orissa.
Gopalpur's importance dwindled when trade with Burma abruptly ceased during the war and never revived again. When the British left India, even members of rich Bengali homes preferred to holiday in other places and Gopalpur reverted to what it originally was, a fishing village.
With an increase in tourist trade in the late seventies, and the opening of luxury hotels, a slow revival began and today Gopalpur-On-Sea is one of the foremost beach resorts in India. Though now there are many popukar beaches in Orissa.
Gopalpur is a bewitching seaside resort and there can be no better option than to enjoy the sun, sea, and sand. Walk around the beach, collect shells and first-sized peal-white conch, and remember all the beautiful moments of your life. One may not be able to do it again......♥️
Chilka Lake is situated at a distance of 45 km from Gopalpur. Spreading over an area of 1100 sq km, this is the largest brackish water lake in the country and attracts large number of migratory birds.
Taptapani (hot water), as the name suggests, is a hot water sulfur spring situated around 67 km from Gopalpur....

2. You can enjoy the view of Rushikulya river from the top.
3. There are lots of places you will find like this in Odisha and this is one of them. May be the best time to visit is evening or morning time.
4. Private vehicles are not allowed so you have to buy bus ticket from the bottom at entry gate . At the bottom you have to park your vehicle.

The temple to go through bus(govt) charges 15 or 20 per person (recommended). For Ropeway 60/- (4 carriage and each 4 person can seat). But absolute worst is charging to enter the temple. And even to meet the goddess to be near u have to be pay 200/-(per person even children )to priest(Are nothing but blood sucker). After that the coconut u brought have to be given to god that also they charges 10/-. And also be aware of parking near ropeway entry ask the near person about the charges. They will not show themselves at first but during leaving will argue u about fees (but there is no parking facility there).
So to sum it up this don't go if u are thinking of prayer there, it will mean not a thing but its upto u. For 1 time go and experience its ok but for prayer its not worth due to those weird money taking at every point.

The location and management of the temple is praiseworthy. There is ropeway and bus services for the pilgrims to reach the temple. The temple is nicely curved and work is going on for renovation. The beauty of nature from the temple campus will bliss your eyes.

This is one of the prettiest temple I have visited in Odisha. I loved the whole vibe of the Temple. The scenic beauty was breath taking. I was mesmerized by the surrounding.

Situated on the top of a hill, this shakti peeth of Odisha is at a serene location. General people have to walk nearly a thousand steps to the temple or go to the temple by the rope way. Only the locals, police and the people of the temple can go by the road that has been
made by carving the hill.
Nikhilesh Dash — Google review
The temple has been given a face lift. The ambience has always been great. But I am not too pleased with the cleanliness of the surroundings . The bus service, though I appreciate the idea of running them to and fro the temple, thus avoiding the over crowded premises with lots of vehicles. But there was a rush while returning to the toe of the hill. There was no queue, no body to look after the chaos. I don't know if that has only happened on that day or not.
SWARNA PRABHA Kar — Google review
Beautiful temple near rushikulya river. The premises of the temple are enhanced by the government. Very beautiful surroundings. Bus service is provided to the temple from the main gate of the temple to avoid overcrowded vehicles. So u have to buy a ticket for 15rs near the main entrance. The temple closed at 8pm.

Maa Tara Tarini temple in odisha janjam district, is really great. The temple is totally made with ancient rocks and the outside wall and mountain view point is made with modern rock art.The mountain view point is very good for photography. The grace of maa tara tarini is made this place so peaceful. It was nice place..bus is here to take people from main road to temple but you can also use ropeway to reach temple. Take care of of your stuff as lots of monkey are there. One of the oldest temple of odisha with extraordinary sculpture skills and inscriptions mounted on the temple and it's surrounding.
Stays a lot crowded during occasions but for better puja and darshan I recommend you to go at unseason days just like now.
Also to reach the temple you need to take a ticket for the bus specially arranged for the devotees by govt.it only costs 30 .This is an old temple nestled in the Kumari hills near Berhampur in Odisha and is one of the 4 Shakti Peethas of India! It is a famous religious place in Southern Odisha where the twin sister Goddess i.e. Tara & Tarini adorn the sanctum situated on the top of a hillock girdled by the waddling holy river Rushikulya.

Overall a good temple. Good that no private vehicles allowed on top. It would be very difficult in summer at the top as no trees are there. What I did not like is the temple pujaries are money minded and demanding money at every point. One snatched the money from me while I was making a contribution to the Hundi. Government body as well as the temple administration should take some action about it. Else no one visit again. One suggestion to limit local venders also till foot hill. Lot of garbage may be because of them.

Maa Tara Tarini Temple is one of the most popular holistic place in India. The place is very peaceful but the worshippers are always ready to take away money from you. So be aware of it and be in the queue and follow the rules strictly.

It is called the second sun temple of Odisha. A good place to visit with family. There is a well with lots of soft shell and hard shell turtles. It is believed that well water is used as medicine for white spots on skin. Bring some rice or some other food for the turtles when you visit that place as they will float on water with a wish to get some food from you. The carving on wood in the temple is brilliant.

The Daya River is a significant watercourse located in the Puri district and is known to be the longest river in the area. This river holds great importance as it provides irrigation for farming and acts as a source of freshwater for nearby communities. Its cultural significance lies in its association with religious festivals, particularly during the Ratha Yatra festival when devotees take a dip in its waters to purify themselves.

It is a very beautiful place to worship Lord vishnu and seek his blessings. The best part is when we visited the Lors had just eaten his lunch and he was resting so the temple was closed for 15 mins. I found this the most amazing part as it's very rare to see the temple main Sanctum Santorum close only for 15 mins as the Lord take a short nap.😇

You can take lunch in the temple. Price for lunch is Rs. 80.
There is also a museum just side of the temple near the river side. Ticket price is Rs. 10 for museum. You will understand the history of making Nilamadhaba Temple in the museum.

Temple adminstration can see the loot happening there from common people but are not doing anything about it.
Temple priests are very nagging, asking money for everything.
I would suggest to stay away from the temple priest for any kind of help, they will tell you that they are not going to ask you for any money but at the end you ll end up paying lot from the pocket.

If you are plan to visit this place please keep few things in mind -
Cons. -
1) Most horrible part is there is no public toilet or any toilet available neither in the vicinity of the temple nor in the entire area of kantilo.
2) From any tourist spot like puri or bhubaneswar this will take 3 hours atleast to reach, Please note that road is quite bumpy.
3) Pandas are very demanding and misleading at times. Sometimes this will make you doubt whether this is a business place or place of worship.
4) There is no proper arrangement for reaching this place.
Pros.-
1) Location of the mandir is in a good scenic place. Mandir is built on top of a small hill and from there one can see picturseque view of Mahanadi and 'sangam' of 3 rivers.
2) Number of devotees are not that much. So, one don't need to worry about crowd unlike Jagannath Mandir.
3) You may try the lunch offered by the mandir authority there which is good. Rate of this bhog per person is 100 rs as of 2024 and sumptuous.

I am delighted to have had the opportunity to visit the extraordinary Nilamadhaba Temple. This ancient temple, nestled amidst the lush greenery of its surroundings, exudes an aura of tranquility and spirituality that is truly unparalleled. As I stepped foot into the temple premises, I was immediately captivated by its grandeur and the sense of reverence that permeated the air.
The architecture of the Nilamadhaba Temple is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region. The intricate carvings on the walls and pillars depict mythological stories and divine beings, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of the artisans who built this magnificent structure. Every nook and cranny of the temple seemed to hold a hidden treasure, inviting me to explore further and unravel the secrets of its past.
Inside the temple, I was greeted by the soothing chants of the priests and the fragrance of incense, creating an atmosphere of serenity and devotion. The main sanctum, adorned with vibrant flowers and adorned with precious jewels, housed the divine idol of Lord Nilamadhaba, the presiding deity of the temple. The sight of the deity, resplendent in all its glory, filled my heart with a sense of awe and reverence.
As I participated in the rituals and observed the devotees offering their prayers, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of peace and spiritual connection. The energy within the temple was palpable, as if the divine presence itself was embracing each and every visitor with its benevolence. It was a humbling experience, reminding me of the power and beauty of faith.
The joyous faces of the devotees further enriched my visit, leaving an indelible mark on my memory.
The experience had touched my soul and left me with a renewed sense of purpose and gratitude. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have visited this extraordinary temple and to have been a part of its divine aura. The Nilamadhaba Temple will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I hope to return one day to bask in its divine presence once again.

Sri Nilamadhava Temple is a very old and famous temple which is near the bank of Mahanadi in Kantilo, Odisha, India. It is present near to the twin hills with a surrounding forest. A permanent flow of holy water from the feet of Lord Nilamadhava is another attraction of the spot. Lord Siddheswar is also present which is another highlight of the place.
Lord Nilamadhav occupies a central position in the cult of Lord Jagannath. Even now also Lord Nilamadhava shrine is present on the right side of Lakshmi temple in Puri Temple.
all initiated in a small cave in the Brahmadri hills situated on the banks of Mahanadi, which is known as Kantilo of Nayagarh district today. Here, Biswabasu the local Sabara Chief worshipped Kitung, as the God was known in the Sabara dialect. According to the Puranas, the deity was originally worshipped in the form of an Indranila gem image known as “Nilamadhava". The daru murti came much later.Located near the confluence of three rivers Mahanadi, Kuanria and Kusumi. The temple structure is like the Jagannath temple of Puri. It stands on the right bank of Mahanadi. It is called triveni sangam of Odisha. As there is Beni-Madhava in Prayag, so as here Nilamadhava.
How to reach
Kantilo is situated near the river bank of Mahanadi which comes in a block called Khandapada, in Nayagarh District. Nearest railway station is Nayagarh Town and nearest airport is Bhubaneswar. This ancient and well-known Lord Vishnu temple is located in Kantilo, Odisha, India, next to the Mahanadi River. It is located close to the twin hills and has a forest all around it. An additional draw to the location is a continuous stream of sacred water that emerges from Lord Nilamadhava's feet.

Sri Nilamadhava Temple is very old and Lord Vishnu temple which is near to the bank of Mahanadi river. It is present near to the twin hills with a surrounding forest. One thing that the priest are so much greedy they will irritate you asking money. During the Prasad seban(lunch)they divide the people who is giving more money and they will give extra items which is more disappointed because Prasad is same for everyone. Except that everything is good. Boating is available there.
Unfussy rooms & suites, some with balconies & sea views, in a relaxed hotel with a restaurant.
Lighthouse Inn beach view hotel in Puri is truly one of the most affordable options. It is next to the sea and is very clean, tidy and neat. The beach is very private and just across the road from the hotel. You can book in advance using the website and get in touch with the manager. They will take care of every aspect of your trip. Best part is that there was free Wifi, endless supply of water in the bathrooms and all AC rooms. Very comfortable and very hygienic. Truly one of the most affordable and homely places in Puri. Lokanatha Temple, also known as Lord Mahadev Temple, is a beautiful and serene Hindu temple in Puri. It is said that all desires are fulfilled here, making it a spiritually uplifting place to visit. The temple is less crowded on days other than Mondays or during the Shravan month or Jagara, allowing visitors to enjoy its peaceful ambiance. However, some caution is advised regarding the priests who may ask for excessive donations.
Lokanatha temple was famous place. This is a Hindu Temple (LodSiva Temple) . Nice place. And there have a pond and some attractive fish are available inside the pond. People giving the food to eat and the fish also come and eat the food. Nice place and nice environment.

The pandits in this temple are really greedy about money and do not care about the devotees. Behaved very badly with us so It was not a good experience here. Moreover the area near the shivling was not clean and maintained. If you plan to go just for the Darshan, make sure not to ask any of these pandits to accompany you as that's their tactics to charge money in the name of "Dakshina".

Please read!
Before visiting this place!
It feels shameful when I say, please don't visit this place. Pandit's are looting here, they had made business of puja, prashad and dakshina.
As soon as you enter the main gate, they will ask you to pay ₹ 20 each for bringing prashad/phool/nariyal with you to worship God. And if you aren't bringing anything, they will ask you to pay ₹10, for entering the temple. And when you enter into the temple, they will ask you to pay again to lit the diyas, offering prashad/phool/nariyal. This is not over yet, they will again ask you to pay if you want to offer jal to shivling.
Rude behavior from the main pandit. They will not allow you to take photos inside the temple although mobiles are allowed inside the temple. Pandit needs ₹100 form each one who wants to worship holy shivling with jal. We visited in savan, and the mandir is full of dirt and pungent choking smell.
If the Pandit had requested, we would have thought of giving dakshina but he is very rude. Not at all accepted form a Pandit.

Puri Lokanatha Temple is a Hindu Temple situated in the town of Puri, Odisha, India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to history the lingam in this temple was established by Lord Rama. The unique feature is that the Shivalinga is always under water which substantiates the legend that Goddess Ganga flows through the top of the shivalinga as a stream. The festival that is celebrated with great fervor and pomp is the Sankranti Somavar Fair while devotees believe that the shivalinga has powers to cure diseases after seeking the darshan of Lord Shiva. The utsava murti of Lokanatha is kept inside the Jagannath temple, Puri. He is the guardian deity of all the treasures and jewellery of Lord Jagannath. This temple is one of the five famous Shiva temple of Puri. Others are Markandeswara Temple, Jambeswar Temple, Banambara Temple and Kapalamochana temple
The month of Shravana is very important for the entire Indian subcontinent, as it is connected to the arrival of the south-west monsoons. For many Hindus, the month of Shravana is a month of fasting. Many Hindus will fast every Monday to Shiva and/or every Tuesday to Parvati. Fasting on Tuesdays of this month is known locally as "Mangala Gauri Vrat.
Loknath Temple (locally called Shri Lokanatha Mandira) lies only about 2 km from the sacred Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri. It is one of the holiest shrines in Odisha that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Odisha since time immemorial has been a place, where Shaivism has always flourished.
An interesting aspect of this shrine is that its innermost sanctum houses a Shivalinga, which is visible only once in a year. The reason being is that the entire sanctum including the Shivalinga gets filled with water by a natural fountain, all through the year. It is only on the night of Pankoddhar Ekadashi - three days prior to the Shivaratri festival - all the water from the sanctum is bailed out, and the Shivalinga becomes visible. Thousands of devotees throng to the temple during the festival to worship the Shivalinga.
Even though the Shivalinga is visible only once during the year, devotees offer flowers, beetle and bilva leaves, honey, sandal paste, flowers, milk, coconut water and curd to it throughout the year. The mixture of these and the water from the natural fountain decompose, and as per local belief, this decomposed mixture has a special essence and has great medicinal value and anyone who drinks this water is cured of incurable

Rooms are decent, and location wise it is good. But the worst part is the behaviour of reception. They must learn hotel management first. Misbehaving, threatening, this is not how management works.

Worst. Service is very poor. Water is salty, bed cover is totally unclean and dirty. Price of food is too expensive. A bad smell is there in room Never come here. One more thing, bring a soap from home coz this hotel has no unused soap. They will give you a used toilet soap.

I stayed in this hotel when I visited Puri last December, 2023. Room is good, clean, bathroom is fine. Water continuously available. Location is also good. Service is excellent. I mistakenly ledt some personal belongings in the room and came back to Kolkata. With utmost care, they took the responsibility and handed over me those things in their Kolkata head office after few days. I am really impressed. I stayed with my family during my visit and will suggest to stay here and enjoy who are looking for midrange price.

The worst experience I have ever come accross in a tour. Showed some good photos and given 500/- worth room . A bad smell comes from each room. Not even maintained a single furniture, fridge is kept which is of no use and foul smell coming out of it. Bed is broken . Moreover the owner doesn't even know who is checking in and out. Worst. Taken 1 day adv and dint even bother to respond when we given feedback abt our stay. Lost that adv and checked out immediately. Never ever go to Hotel Konark at Swargadwar lane in Puri.

Unhygienic rooms with unclean walls, floor and bedsheets. There aren't covers for the blankets. The bathroom door in one of our rooms don't lock properly, no geyser. The entire property is not maintained. The mopping of floors is done for the sake of it. Please avoid the restaurant here. Food is outsourced. Walk to "Tero Parbon" and have your food there instead.

The golden beach of Odisha is a busy, beautiful and well-managed spot that's perfect for a lazy day at the shore. The sand is clean and the waters are clear, making it a great place to relax. The beach hosts an annual festival in the springtime, which features sand displays and other attractions.
Part of the beach is private property , admission ticket Rs 50, with parking lot, separate wash area for bath(additional charge) cafes too for coffee and snacks, one of them owned & maintained by women only.
Spectacular views, one of the cleanest, no humidity at all, watch sunrise or sunset here for best experience

Golden Beach in Puri is truly a gem that mirrors international standards. The cleanliness is impeccable, creating a cool and peaceful atmosphere. The well-placed rest areas provide a perfect vantage point to savor the mesmerizing waves.
The entry fee is reasonable at 20, and the option to include clean water bathing and changing facilities for 50 enhances the overall experience. The availability of normal water bathing facilities post-sea beach dip adds convenience.
Safety is a top priority, evident by the numerous lifeguards and a protective chain-like boundary that prevents swimmers from venturing too deep. This makes it an ideal spot for individuals of all ages.
Couples, both married and unmarried, will find Golden Beach enchanting, and older individuals seeking a tranquil retreat will appreciate the peaceful ambiance. The complimentary water facilities and the caution to bring soap for post-sea bath cleanliness are thoughtful touches.
Golden Beach isn't just a place; it's an experience, combining safety, cleanliness, and natural beauty to create a haven by the sea.

I visited puri for darshana of maa Bimala as it is one of the four adishakti peethas. Once you are out of jagannath ji temple on right there is Bimala devi. There is not much rush in the morning, just pray from outside looking at devi instead of getting in the rush near devi as the pandits do not allow you to pray peacefully if you do not buy their stuff and get their blessing.
The devi decorated nicely by afternoon.
She is beautiful.

Vimala Temple or Bimala Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Vimala or Bimala, located within the Jagannath Temple complex in Puri in the Indian state of Odisha. It is generally regarded as a Shakti Pitha, among the holiest temples dedicated to the Hindu Goddess.
The Vimala Temple, also spelled as Bimala Temple is a Hindu Temple in Puri in the Indian state of Odisha. This temple is one great object of pride for the Odisha people. It is indeed a majestic one and that too is an understatement. The temple is a part of the famous and highly revered Jagannath Temple Complex. It is regarded as a Shakti Peeth. The Vimala temple is faced towards the east and is made up of laterite and sandstones. The temple was last renovated in the year 2005 and it is maintained by the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India), Bhubaneswar Cycle. Although the shrine of the Vimala temple is not very big in stature by any means or stretch of imagination, however, the Vimala temple holds huge significance to the goddess oriented Tantric and Shakta worshippers who pay more reverence to it than even the main Jagannath shrine. Vimala is regarded as the Tantric consort of Jagannath and the guardian of the Jagannath temple. It is exactly due to this reason devotees show their respect to Vimala prior to worshipping the main Jagannath

The temple is amazing and divine being a Shakti peetha... You need to visit this temple first before visiting Shree Jaganatha. However my advice would be to not engage with the priests as they are greedy for money... They will rip you apart top and bottom if you fall prey to them... Give what you feel like giving... They may demand thousand. If they force you, tell them you will complaint and their licence to operate in temple will be gone...show them that you know about this. Then they will keep quite. And don't worry, their curses and all don't work as God Jaganatha is seating there with his eyes open and protecting us all along...trust the God of Puri and not these pandas...

The Jagannath temple Puri is an immensely popular pilgrimage destination in India and is often called the spiritual capital of Odisha. The temple is home to one of the most revered deities in Hinduism, Lord Jagannath. Getting blessings from Lord Jagannath during a pilgrimage tour is considered essential for completion.
Corrected grammar:
It is my favorite place. It's impossible to go to the Puri Temple if Lord Jagannath doesn't want. I have visited this place only three times, the first time when I was a kid and the second time, I was unable to see Lord Jagannath properly due to COVID-19. However, on September 1, I realized the power of God Jagannath. It's true that the flag of the temple flies in the opposite direction of the airflow. Additionally, the chakra on the top of the temple looks circular from all directions. The temple casts no shadow. The Maa Laxmi Temple is also wonderful. Taking photos inside the mandir is not allowed. I request that you visit the mandir in the morning or at night, but not during midday as the ground becomes too hot and can damage your legs. However, if you don't eat the Abadha after visiting the Jagannath Temple in Puri, then you are the unluckiest person in the world. Thank you.

The temple of Lord Shree Jagannatha at Puri is one of the oldest temples of the Hindus; well known all over the world. It is situated on the sacred Mahodadhi (presently known as Bay of Bengal). at latitude 19-19’-17’N and longitude 85-51-’-39’E.
It is the most sacred shrine in India. A vibrant and living temple, it occupies a special place in the religious and cultural history of the State of Odisha. Over the centuries, it has attracted many kings, conquerors, religious teachers, devotees and pilgrims.
According to ‘Skanda Purana’ the sacred ‘Shree Purushottama Kshetra’ is known as the home of Lord Vishnu and the sacred Vigrahas were installed by Swayambhu Brahma.
As per Puranic scripture, King Indradyumna of Malwa, (Central India) a staunch Vaishnavite, constructed a huge temple and installed the four deities with the help of Brahma and other famous saints. It was 1000 cubits high. But the temple collapsed in course of time. It was the foremost temple of Lord Shree Jagannatha. History is silent about the subsequent reforms taken up by the kings in the temple that was originally built by King Indradyumna of Satya yuga. However, descriptions have been made in the Patala Khanda of Padma Purana and Vishnu Purana about the existence of the temple of Bhagawan Purushottama in the said ancient sacred place.
It may be mentioned here that, according to ‘Madala Panji’, it wasYajati Keshari the founder of the Soma Dynasty in Odisha, who built the temple for Purushottama Jagannatha on the site of the present shrine. It was 38 cubits high .
Another tradition attributes the construction of the temple to Anangabhima Deva, the great grandson of Ananta Varman Chodaganga Deva. But it is established from the epigraphical records that it was Chodaganga Deva (1112-1148 A.D) who built the present temple.
The present main temple has four sections, such as Vimana (Sanctum) where in the principal deities are seated on a stone pedestal (known as Ratna Singhashana), Jagamohana (porch), Natamandapa and Bhogamandapa. The temple when originally constructed consisted of a Vimana and a Jagamohana (porch) built in the rekha style and the pidha orders respectively. It is known that the Vimana and the Jagamohana were built in the 12th century and other two viz. Natamandapa and Bhogamandapa were added during the reign of King Purushottama Deva (1461-1495 AD.) and King Prataprudra Deva (1495-1532 AD.) respectively. However, at present, the temple complex of Lord Shree Jagannatha consists of four structures in one axial alignment and faces the east.
The temple of Lord Shree Jagannatha is about 214 feet and 8 inches high from the road level. The entire temple premises are enclosed by two big concentric walls. The outer wall is known as ‘Meghanada Prachira’ (665 ft. x 640 ft.) and the inner wall is known as ‘Kurma Prachira’ (420 ft. x 315 ft.). The height of the outer walls varies from 20ft. to 24ft. There are four gates in the outer enclosure. The eastern entrance is known as ‘Singha Dwara’ or the Lion’s gate. The entrances on the southern, western and northern sides of the outer enclosure are known as ‘Aswadwara’ (South gate), ‘Vyaghra Dwara’ (West gate) and ‘Hastidwara’ (North gate) respectively. Hundreds of subsidiary shrines and Mandapas (elevated platforms) ) are there inside the temple premises, , Two Gardens namely ‘Koili Baikuntha’ and ‘Nilachala Upabana’, seven wells, Ananda Bazara, the Kitchen and the Holy banyan tree (Kalpabata) are also there inside temple premises.

Puri Jagannath Temple is a beautiful and revered site, but it's often overcrowded, making it challenging for families with babies. Visitors should be cautious as it's easy to be misled without proper guidance. Organizers could greatly benefit from increased systemization and organization. Additionally, more reasonable transport costs would make it more accessible to all. Despite these challenges, the temple's spiritual significance and grandeur are undeniable.

Everyone knows about the religious significance, the architecture deserves equal appreciation.
Visited during both daytime and evening.
For darshan, you will have to keep your phone, shoes and leather belongings at nearby shops at 20-30 rupees rate, as these things are not allowed inside.
Good place to visit!

A spot where you can find calm in a pleasant setting. The artistic view of the temple is stunning. The temple is completely covered in a red-like texture, which is a sight to behold. It is incredibly large and has temples to different gods and goddesses. Each temple is built in a unique and artistic style. The view of the temple at night is breathtaking. The visit was very serene and blessed...
Try to visit temple as early as possible, we have visited at morning 5.30AM.
Also don’t go with Mobile phones, phones and cameras are restricted inside. But they have mobile phones lockers outside the temple.

A place were we forget all are tensions, the energy is amazing and peaceful.. loved the temple aura . The temple is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. It is also famous because many legends believe that Krishna's heart was placed here, and the material that it is made from damages the heart, so they have to change it every seven years.

Bad crowd management average waiting time in the afternoon is 4-5hrs. No facility of water in the queue. Temple is good once you get to the top you will feel worth of standing 5 hrs in queue. The Jagannath Temple in Puri, India 🇮🇳, is an architectural marvel and spiritual haven. Its towering spires and intricate carvings invite awe and reverence. Inside, the divine trinity of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra emanate peace and blessings. 🕉️ The temple's vibrant festivals, like the Rath Yatra 🛕, unite millions in celebration and devotion. A visit here is not just a journey, but a soulful experience that transcends time and space. 🙏
This temple is dedicated to the deity Jagannath and surrounds beautiful gardens. It is of historic importance and during the chariot festival, all three Lords take a rest for seven days after coming out of their temple. This temple is very clean and neat with excellent devotional value.
There are many legends linked to the temple and the annual seven-day stay of the central icons of Jagannath and his siblings during the Ratha Yatra.
A legend links the temple to Gundicha, the queen of Indradyumna (the legendary builder of the main temple) - after whom the Gundicha Temple is named. Gundicha had a peep at the divine image of Jagannath being created by the celestial architect Vishwakarma. Impressed by the image, she insisted on her husband building the temple for the deity and starting the Ratha Yatra. Another variant suggests that Jagannath was pleased with her temple and promised to visit her house, now the Gundicha Temple.
As per another legend, when Jagannath (identified with the god Krishna) goes to stay for seven days in the Gundicha Temple, he intentionally leaves behind his consort Lakshmi locked up in a store room in the main Jagannath temple. While in the Gundicha temple, he is exclusively taken care by his gopis (cow-herding girls) led by his gopi-lover Radha like Krishna in Vrindavan. The gopis are symbolized by the temple devadasis on this occasion. When Jagannatha returns to his main temple after his amorous dalliance, Lakshmi meets him at the main temple gate and sprinkles some magical powder on him, which makes him forget about his escapade in the Gundicha Temple, and she is immediately reunited with her husband in blissful love.

Sri Gundicha Temple is the final destination of the annual Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra. While the Sri Jagannath temple is the starting point, there is estimated 2.5 km long Grand Road connecting these two temples. Bhagwan Jagannath, Bhai Balabhadra and sister Devi Subhadra stay here for nine days. The temple has two main gates. The western entrance of the temple is the main entrance from which Bhagwan Jagannath enters the temple during the Rath Yatra. And the eastern gate is used for departure.
The temple is functioning under Shri Jagannath Temple Administration, Puri. Apart from the nine days of the rath yatra. The main attraction of the temple is its huge beautiful garden spread around the main temple, hence it is also called The Garden House of Jagannath.
As per mythology, the temple Gundicha based on the name of Indradyumna’s queen Gundicha (the legendary builder of the main temple). Gundicha Temple (Odia: ଗୁଣ୍ଡିଚା ମନ୍ଦିର), is a Hindu temple, situated in the temple town of Puri in the state of Odisha, India. It is significant for being the destination of the celebrated annual Rath Yatra of Puri.[1] While it remains vacant most of the year, the temple is occupied by images of the deities of Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra for seven complete days (total 9 days including the start and concluding day of Ratha Yatra) every year during the annual Rath Yatra festival.
Known as the Garden House of Jagannath, the Gundicha temple stands in the centre of a beautiful garden, surrounded by compound walls on all sides. It lies at a distance of about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) from the Shrimandira, the main temple of Jagannath. The two temples are located at the two ends of the Bada Danda (Grand Avenue) which is the pathway for the Rath Yatra.
The temple is built using light-grey sandstone and architecturally, it exemplifies typical Kalinga temple architecture[2] in the Deula style. The complex comprises four components: vimana (tower structure containing the sanctum), jagamohana (assembly hall), nata-mandapa (festival hall) and bhoga-mandapa (hall of offerings). There is also a kitchen connected by a small passage.[3] The temple is set within a garden,[2] and is known as "God's Summer Garden Retreat" or garden house of Jagannath.[4] The entire complex, including garden, is surrounded by a wall.
The sanctum features a plain raised platform (4 feet (1.2 m) high and 19 feet (5.8 m) long) made of chlorite called Ratnavedi, where the deities are placed during the annual festivities.[3] The temple has two gates. The western gate is the main temple gate, through which the deities enter the temple during Ratha Yatra. The eastern gate, known as Nakachana gate, is used for the departure of the deities.[3]
Except for the 9-day Rath Yatra when Jagannath is worshipped in Gundicha temple, the temple remains empty the rest of the year. Tourists can visit the temple after paying an entry fee. Foreigners (prohibited entry in the main temple) are allowed inside this temple during this period.[5] The temple is under the Jagannath Temple Administration, Puri - the governing body of the main temple. A small band of servitors maintain the temple.[3]

It is a temple of Gundicha Maharani, the queen of King Indradyumna the founder of the 1st Jagannath Temple. The temple is located right next to the Jagannath Temple and is popularly referred to as His aunt's house because when the Rath Yatra festival takes place, Lord Jagannath is shifted to the Gundicha Temple for seven days. It is also known as the Garden House of Lord Jagannath as it is located in the middle of a beautiful garden.
Gundicha Temple has some interesting legends related to it. According to one legend, Gundicha, the queen of the King Indradyumna, was a great devotee of Lord Jagannatha. Because of her deep devotion, Lord Jagannath promises her to come to her house during Ratha Yatra. Another Legend says that Gundicha Ghar is the house of Lord Krishna's adoring aunt Gundicha. It is believed that their aunt gives a welcome to the three siblings with a special delicacy made of rice called 'Padoapitha'.

Balukhand Konark Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area situated in the state of Odisha, India, along the Bay of Bengal. This sanctuary serves as a habitat for native antelopes, sea turtles and various species of birds, snakes and reptiles. Though there is a scarcity of wild animals to observe here, visitors can witness several plant species that are unique to this region. The sanctuary also provides access to a secluded beach through which one can enjoy some peaceful time away from the crowd.
I visited the beach here. The path to beach goes through a forest. It is a short root of 2.5 km. The drive to the beach is quite beautiful and scenic. The beach is not at all crowded. Waves are not too high. Mostly gues in Toshali Sand resort visit this beach. Infact the resort management tells that its their private beach. They provide a cab to and from the beach. We had really good time here. We visited this place during the 2nd week of March. It was quite sunny and a bit hot but perfect for taking a dip in sea.

Nothing more in the beach. chandrabhaga beach has always the high tide , so I recommend u to be careful while u go inside water and enjoy there . Don't think it is same as Puri . We can't explain u why , but it is . I will like to mention . Do u like crab ? Sand colour crab ... Not that we get in the market . That kind of crab can be seen if u go far ahead from the crowd . Walk along the bank of the sea , and go a distance , then u can see the crab crawling on the sand .

The sanctuary is located on the shore of Bay of Bengal. The place is extremely beautiful and looks heavenly!
I have been to that place almost 6 times and every time it was full of excitement. It is about 5-7 kms from the famous Sun temple, Konark.
The sanctuary is a dense forest where you can spot deers if you are lucky.
The beat part is the road! It is so beautiful with trees making canopy from both the sides. The trees alongside the road is painted white and looks so stunning!
While driving from Konark to puri on your left you will experience dense forest, in the front the beautiful road and on the right the vast and mighty Bay of Bengal with it's serene beach.
There are few resorts also where you can experience the forest and the environment there with some local delicacies.
I would recommend you visiting the place at least once!

A very good ambience of the museum. And very informative regarding the history of konark temple. It's consists of an auditorium in which they show a movie of 20 mins, which is animated one, and it's about the how the konark temple was formed and what was the motive behind it and those things. And in the museum they even have the sculptures and each is having a different significance.
And the museum information does not only bound us to historical part but also many architectural, design parameters also which were used while building the temple.
Overall i would one should go through the museum first and then go to the temple. And for better understanding of the temple visit to museum is must.

I suggest not to visit there or else you will have to carry minimum Rs. 2000/-for that temple. They will rush to you as soon as you reach the temple. One by one will force to enter ae per there direction and step by step they will force you Rs. 100/- to Rs. 2000/-per head. So dont pay single money to them.

Puri sakshi gopal Sakshi Gopal: A witness For The Wedding
Once, two Brahmins from Vidyanagar, south
India, went on a pilgrimage. One Brahmin was young
and poor and he served the other who was old and
wealthy.
They visited Gaya, Kashi, Prayag and
Mathura. From there they went to Vrindavan where
they visited the temple Of Gopal. The beauty of
the Deity of Gopal made them stay in Vrindavan for
several days. The old Brahmin was so pleased with
the young man’s services that he promised to give
him his daughter in marriage. The young Brahmin
replied that he only rendered him service to please
Lord Krishna, who likes to see His devotees serving
the Brahmins. He also argued that the elderly man’s
family would not be pleased with his decision since
he was uneducated and poor.
The old man insisted that no one could make him change his mind, so the young
Brahmin asked him to make his offer in front of the deity. They both went in the temple
and the old Brahmin made his promise. Then the young Brahmin spoke, “Dear Lord, I may
call for you to testify as my witness.” The two men then returned to Vidyanagar.
Some days later, the old Brahmin told his family and friends about his promise.
Everyone said that he should not give his daughter to the poor man and urged him to break
his promise. They did not realize that a poor man can be the best husband if he is a
devotee of the Lord. The Brahmin argued that, if he broke his promise, the young man
would call the Deity as his witness and Gopal would be very displeased with him. The
relatives threatened to commit suicide if the daughter was given away to the young
Brahmin. The Brahmin’s oldest son advised him to say that he doesn’t remember anything.
He added that the Deity lives far away in Vrindavan. How could He come to Vidyanagar?
The father prayed to Gopal, “Dear Gopal, please help me keep my promise and still
save my family from killing themselves.”
The next day, the young Brahmin came to ask about the marriage but the elderly
Brahmin remained silent. His son screamed at the young man, threatening to beat him. The
young Brahmin ran away, but the next day he gathered the villagers questioned him, the
Brahmin said that he did not remember making such a promise. His son stood up and said,
“This boy is a thief. He stole my father’s money while on pilgrimage and now he is claiming
that my father promised him his daughter.”
The villagers did not know whom to believe. The young Brahmin told them about the
witness Gopal. Then the old man admitted that the young man was telling the truth

Sakshi Gopal temple is a medieval temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. The Temple is Built in the Kalinga Style of Architecture.
Sakshi Gopal: Where the Lord Is a Witness
There is a story behind the Sakshi Gopal temple. It is said that a young boy fell in love with a girl, in a small village in Odissa. He was poor, while the girl was the daughter of the village headman. They did not find the headman's consent in their marriage. It disheartened the young couple. Later, the entire village had to go for a pilgrimage to Kashi. On the way, the headman fell ill, and the villagers abandoned him. However, the young man stayed back and nursed the headman back to health. In gratitude, the headman agreed to give his daughter's hand in marriage. However, as soon as they returned to the village, he reneged on his promise. He told the young man to produce a witness to support his claim.
The poor boy prayed to the Lord, and Krishna, in the form of Gopal, the cowherd, appeared to him. He agreed to come as his witness but with a condition. The young boy was to walk ahead, and Gopal would follow. But if he looked back, Gopal would stop where he was. The young boy agreed. He led the way towards his village keeping an ear out for the sound of following footsteps. As they walked over a sandy part, he couldn’t hear the footsteps, and in an anxious moment, he looked back. Lord Krishna at once turned into stone. The poor boy was devastated. However, he ran to the village and brought the villagers back with him. They were stunned to see the life-like statue of Gopal and agreed to get the couple married. They also built the first temple to the Lord here, calling him ‘Sakshi Gopal,’ meaning the Lord who was a witness.
This temple was built in the 11th century. Krishna, in the form of Gopal, looks ethereal, and on his side stands Radha. This bronze idol of Radha was installed later since it is believed that Krishna should have Radha by his side.
Today people believe that the Lord is still present here, withnessing all the events.
