Chaparai Water Cascade
Nature & Parks
Waterfalls
Natural setting known for a cascading waterway with rocky pools for swimming & sliding.
This is a beautiful place where water does not fall from height. This is very wide like a river but perinniel water flows very fast on rocky surface. When I visited in November, the water is moving from one side to other in a number of channels on flat rocks and making it very easy to move on water.
Srinivasa Rao — Google review
Beautiful scenery. Non-Veg lovers can have chicken on stick BBQ style just for 20-30/- INR from local vendors. Good for photography
Amukta edara — Google review
Chaparai is more of a cascade than a waterfall. Its a good place to visit especially when the water flow is more. We visited during heavy rainfall in Oct'2022 and the toad condition was bad. Otherwise I liked the place.
I feel it could be better maintained since they are charging tickets for the visit. And I am still hopeful for the day when we will stop scribbling our names wherever we can.

Best place for friends and family to hangout. Do not be afraid of the slide : It's completely safe. Only concern is the slippery rocks. Try the food outside the cascade: they are delicious 😋

You can spend some quality of time with your friends and family. Don’t forget to carry extra pair of clothes. There are clothes, changing rooms and toilets available. They were neat and clean. It was must visit place in Araku. Don’t avoid this place by seeing photos and videos. Just go for it. You will not regret it but in rainy seasons be careful because water flow suddenly increases and don’t pollute this area with trash.

"30 Rupees Disappointment: A Visit Gone Awry" 😞💸
"Our trip here was a letdown, with the 30 Rupees entrance fee feeling like a waste. The lack of proper water and the overall untidiness left much to be desired. The only mildly interesting aspect was the local traditional ginger being sold, which you can find in the city market as well. But don't despair! Just down the road, you'll encounter a delightful treat in the form of delicious local bamboo chicken." 🚫💧🍛

It is a small waterfall so one can play there with friends and family but have to be careful since it is steep.if water flow is heavy it is good to avoid ...A great place where you end up spending an hour or more easily. The waters just flow and you get to see the rush of water flowing over the rocks.

This is really nice one. Actually we visited this place on off season. So we didn't get Tht much water. Visit this place on peak season. There is a play ground for kids as well. But it has great view.

Wonderful scenery. Vast rock area to have beautiful photos and videos. Not like a regular waterfall where water falls from top. Here the water flow is horizontal similar to a river flow. Entry tickets are 50/- for adults.

In a popular place, water flows over the carpet like stone(a flat stone). The surrounding scenery is good. Some people take a dip, but I don't think it is healthy and safe. Complementary Dhimsa dance is also displayed.

The Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary is a nature reserve situated in a vast mangrove forest that protects more than 120 bird species. It is the second largest mangrove forest in eastern India and serves as an excellent location for bird watching. However, visitors should note that the birds only visit during specific times of the year as they are migratory. The sanctuary also offers serene boat rides through backwaters and wooden bridges for close-up views of the mangrove trees.
It is a second largest Mangrove forest in eastern India. This is great place to watch birds but if you don’t see the birds at the time of your visit, please don’t assume that there are no more birds. All the birds that visit this sanctuary are the migratory birds meaning they only visit at particular time. I loved the boat ride in back waters. It’s so serene & calm. Walk on the wooden bridge is also very nice as we get see the mangrove trees very close. I was surprised to know that we have this beautiful place in Kakinada.

Most loved thing is the walking trails which are surrounded by Mangroves and it is almost 4-5 kms long. Plastic is not permitted in any form so please bring your own water bottle and also food is available at reasonable price.
A must go place.❤️
On Tuesday it is off and no visitor is allowed.

Experience an idyllic retreat with friends at this scenic location boasting a breathtaking sea view. Visitors can embark on exhilarating boat rides to explore the sanctuary's rich biodiversity, encountering a plethora of birds and animals along the way. While the local cuisine, including seafood delicacies, is available, it may be slightly pricey, although satisfactory in taste.
Ideal for picnics and casual hangouts, this spot may not be suitable for families due to the need for extensive walking, which could pose challenges for elderly members. Admission requires a nominal fee of 50 rupees per adult, well worth the investment.
Be mindful of pesky flies and mosquitoes, particularly due to the lush vegetation and muddy terrain. However, the boating experience is commendable, with options ranging from thrilling speedboats for friends to leisurely rides perfect for family outings and photo opportunities.
Overall, the area offers a delightful setting for social gatherings, particularly for those seeking a nature-filled adventure amidst dense foliage and enjoyable boating activities. Located near Kakinada, Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary is a remarkable ecological treasure spanning 235 square kilometers and renowned for its expansive mangrove forests.
Bird enthusiasts will delight in the sanctuary's diverse avian population, including migratory and resident species such as pelicans, flamingos, and herons. Additionally, the sanctuary supports a rich aquatic ecosystem, showcasing various fish, crabs, and shrimp.
With its panoramic views of mangrove forests and an array of recreational activities for children, Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary promises an unforgettable visit for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Must walk on the wooden walk path for thrill and best spots are there for photography. No need to carry food inside 3 restaurants are available. 3. Must go with slow boating. Best watch time is after 4pm

It's a beautiful place surrounded by trees and mangroves. There are lots of monkeys that steal food so just be careful while walking around with food packets in your hands. They have boating too. They take you to the point where the river meets the sea. Please keep change ready as they don't break a Ra.500 or Rs.1000. They have a canteen with the basic food items. At the entrance there is a juice shop and a shop that sells organic things. Parking is a little tricky though. Please don't tease the monkeys as they get ferocious. They have bathrooms too( not so clean). There is a wooden bridge that will give you a complete insight of the Sanctuary. It's a beautiful place to unwind and spend time with the family.

It is the best spot for picnic or to chill with friends. It is not good with family because we must walk around so, it may be difficult for old people.
If you want to visit this place then you must purchase a ticket per head 50 rupees (for adult) it is worth!!
The only problem is that there are lot of flies and mosquitos in this area due to lots of trees and mud so, be careful before you visit this area and take some precautions to get rid of mosquitoes.
Boating is also good. There are two types of boats. One is speed boat in which it is good for friends to chill and the another one is slow boat which is good for family and clicking photos 📸.
Overall area is good for friends to chill. If you wanna visit a place which is full of trees and you wanna experience a little adventure and for boating then, you can give it a try 👍

I went to a place in January 2024, and it changed a lot in four years. It's like a small exhibition now, with many things to see. There are eateries, a garden, an aquarium, a play area for children, boating, photo spots, and places to sit. The speed boat costs 200 per person, and the regular one costs 100 per person. It's not a good idea to visit in the evening because there are mosquitoes. You can park for a fee inside, or you can park for free outside the entrance.

Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary, situated near Kakinada on the East Coast of India, is a notable ecological gem. It covers an area of around 235 square kilometers and is primarily known for its extensive mangrove forest cover, making it one of the largest stretches of mangroves in the country.
The sanctuary's unique location along the delta of the Godavari River and the Bay of Bengal gives rise to a remarkable and fragile ecosystem. The intertwining network of creeks, estuaries, and tidal embankments creates a habitat that supports a wide array of wildlife.
Bird enthusiasts flock to Coringa to witness the rich avian diversity. The sanctuary is a haven for migratory and resident bird species, making it a prime destination for bird-watching. Pelicans, flamingos, herons, and many other waterfowl find refuge here.
Apart from birds, the sanctuary is also home to diverse aquatic species, including various species of fish, crabs, and shrimp, which play a vital role in the local ecosystem.

The road till Khammam is four lane. Khammam to Yellendu is through forest and so, roads were bad (they are re-tarring). Yellendu to Bhadrachalam is a two lane road which is decent.
We booked a suite at Telangana Tourism Hotel which is good and has two rooms. No food in the hotel during weekdays. Since we are aware, we took our own cooked food. No decent restaurants in Bhadrachalam. So, plan accordingly.

We went at 5 for darshan and waited for 30 mins, since it is the time where they offer bhogam(prasad) to seetha Ram.
And had a different experience with mobile, where security guard asked us to don't take mobile into temple but i see lot of people taking selfies at the hanuman temple and around the temple.

The main deity in the temple is goddess Kanakadurga devi. Considered extremely scared and powerful. This is a very famous temple and hence gets crowded hugely during festive seasons. No mobile phones and bags strictly in the temple premises. Parking could become an issue.

Well maintained temple. Situated above a small ghat called Durga Ghatt, it is a very divine and beautiful place in Vijayawada. You can see the whole city from the cliff top. The temple is good. I went on a non festival day so that it took around only 1 hr to get the darshan via the free dharsan way. Other than free dharshan they have 100, 300 and 500 rs dharshan tickets. They have places to safely store your luggage phones, and Slippers for a small amount. Yeah phones inside the temple are not allowed.

2. Seperate ways to go to temple.
Ghat road and steps to go by walk.
3. Seperate lines for dharshanam.
4. Free food for all devotees.
5. Officially phones and camers were not allowed but most them carry secretly.

This temple is the major attraction in the vijaywada or bejawada area. This is one of the best tourist spot in the andhrapradesh state where there is no proper development in the tourism sector. After reaching to the pandit nehru bus station you have various options to reach the temple among them the best option was taking the devasthanam bus to the top of the hill through ghat road or you can reach the temple by steps also. All in all my visit to this temple is very peaceful from above you can have the view of Prakasam barrage and the Krishna river and flood plains and the adjacent conglomeration.

Very nice and powerful temple which is located on Indrakeeladri hill top.
There is free chappal stand and we can also keep luggage in counter for Rs. 5 and go for darshan. They are allowing cell phones and hand bags.
We can take free darshan or can buy Rs. 100, Rs. 300 or Rs. 500 for fast darshan. We took darshan on Saturday night and on Sunday early morning, there was no queue, darshan completed in 10 minutes.
There was a 7 floor building where lift is available to go to hill top. We can climb steps of building or climb steps of hill or can go by lift to reach temple. Lift is free for everyone, but some staff are rude and asking to buy 100 or 300 ticket to use lift, but we asked in counter, they said we can go by lift without ticket also.
After going up by lift, there were seperate queue lines for free, Rs. 100 and Rs. 300. People who buyed Rs. 500 ticket are allowed to go inside the raja gopura. They are selling saree worn by durga maa and the starting cost is Rs. 3000/- for saree, and there were upto Rs. 10,000/- sarees.
They are selling prasad down hill only like pulihhora, laddu, chakkara pongali etc.

Vijayawada is known in mythology as Vijayavata, and is mentioned in some inscriptions as Rajendracholapura also. it is a famous place of pilgrimage on the river Krishna, and ‘has a temple dedicated to Lord Siva in his aspect of Malleswara or Jayasena. Sage Agasthya is said to have been the greatest devotee of this deity and admirer of the deity’s several leelas. The origin or installation of Kanaka – durga Devi at Vijayawada is unknown. She is said to be Swayambu or selfmanifest. She also takes the aspect of Chandi or destroyer of the demon Durgama who was causing havoc among the peace – loving inhabitants of Dakshinapatha.
One of these hills is called Indrakila, which is a famous hill mentioned in the Mahabharata as the place where the Pandava hero Arjuna obtained from Lord Siva an important weapon called Pasupatastra. The aspect of Lord Siva who appeared before Arjuna for granting him the boon is Kirata or the hunter. Bharavi in his celebrated Kavya “The Kirtarjuneeya” has immortalized this. The temple of Vijayeswara is attributed to Arjuna to commemorate the event of obtaining Pasupatha. The shrine has the representation of this and many other events of the Mahabharata depicated in sculpture form.

The existing Prakasam Barrage across River Krishna was constructed during 1954 to 1957 in place of old Anicut just 104Ft upstream side near Vijayawada City in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh, below the confluence of the Musi, it passes through a narrow gorge and enters the plains of Coromandal coast, till at Vijayawada. The earlier anicut with its canals for irrigation and flood banks for the protection of the delta from the floods was constructed during 1852 with a coast of Rs. 2.00 crores which was designed by Sir Artur Cotton and built by Captain Charies Orr to serve an ayacut of 5.80 Lakh acres in four districts of Krishna, West Godavari, Guntur and Prakasam. The old anicut was breached during 1952 during inspection the eminent Superintending Engineer, Sri. Vepa Krishna Murthy and other staff have demised their lives. After examining all aspects in detail the present barrage was constructed during 1954-1957 with a cost of Rs. 2.278 Crores and named as Prakasam Barrage after the Great Leader and former Chief Minister Sri. Prakasm Panthulu. The Geographical Location of the Barrage Latitude is 16°-30'N and Longitude is 80°-37'E

The barrage was built to irrigate an ayacut of 5.8 lakh acres. Due to development of ayacut in Krishna delta, the anicut was incapable of providing water for irrigation. Travel: It's really embarking to visit this place. It stands out in its nature and scenery. The travelling journey shouldn't take much time from the main city. There was parking space available for the arena and the foot journey to reach the main temple isn't much of an issue.
Destination: As soon as you entire the main premises, you will be astounded by the huge rocks beside which the two shrines of the goddess reside, lightning up the entire structure with its enchantment. Whilst you enter the main temple area, you will be bestowed with the view of lake around the temple which was enlightening. The serenity of it was embazzling to grasp that you cannot have enough of it. Inside the temple, there's calm and peace, along with a section dedicated for traditional sarees. And you end your journey with view of another huge rock that is illuminated with lights and few shrines of the goddess.
Amenities: The washroom was a risky journey with it being in a different place and the pathway was not visible. The condition of the washrooms was pathetic and haven't been cleaned. Other facilities was not scrutinized by me.
Summary: The serenity of the place and aura of this temple should be known by encountering it in person, by visiting this place.

I heard that this is one of the most powerful and places in the warangal district. Must visit the place to worship Bhadrakali Devi. The nature and aura of the temple is peaceful. The Sree Bhadra Kali Devasthanam temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Kerala, India. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, a form of the goddess Kali, who is known for her fierce yet protective nature. The temple's history dates back many centuries and it holds cultural and religious significance in the region.
The temple is believed to be built in 625 A.D by the King Pulakeshin II of Chalukya dynasty to commemorate his victory over Vengi region of Andhra Desham, as per the writings on the temple wall. Kakatiya kings later have adopted the temple and considered Goddess Bhadrakali as their kuladevata. Bhadrakali temple is situated atop a hill between the cities of Hanamkonda and Warangal in Andhra Pradesh. The presiding deity of the temple is goddess Kali in her fierce form – large eyes, grim countenance, and eight arms wielding different weapons. The image is made of stone and it sits on her vehicle, the lion. Goddess Bhadrakali is considered to be a symbol of fortitude and fierceness. Bhadrakali is a terrifying manifestation of Goddess Kali that defends the noble from evil, brings good fortune and success in the lives of the worshippers. Bhadrakali Bhadrakali appeared from the third eye of Shiva to kill demon Darika. Bhadrakali is one of the most powerful forms of Goddess Parvati or Devi. Goddess Parvati is the consort of Lord Shiva and Bhadrakali is one of the nine forms of Devi.
Bhadrakali is a form of Shakti. This is considered to be one of the 51 Shakti 'pithas' of India.

Inside the temple photography is strictly prohibited.
Pandit will be there, you can have your puja, we visited this temple in weekday, so not much crowded. Weekend may be little crowded. You need to maintain queue to enter the temple. In case of heavy crowd, there will be separate queue where you can pay money and have your darshan early.
Lake view behind the temple is mesmerizing.
Separate shoe shop is there where you can keep your shoes before entering the temple.

A religious place.
The temple is located beside a lake (Bhadrakali Lake). New temple structures have been built on top of the older stone temple. This older stone structure can only be glimpsed at, from the outside, but experienced in full once completely inside the temple.
No photos are allowed to be taken inside the main temple, but are allowed outside. There is also a park attached to the temple. There are also a couple other small temples other than the main Bhadrakali temple.
BEWARE:
1. There are monkeys.
2. Although there is no ticket required for Darshan, there are 50/- and 100/- tickets to skip the queue. This is especially useful when one needs to avoid the crowd and wants to directly go inside. This is useful on Friday as there is more crowd on that day.

The Thousand Pillar Temple, a Hindu temple constructed during the Kakatiya dynasty in the 12th century, boasts intricate carvings and shrines of deities. The temple's magnificent architecture is accentuated by a central dome adorned with carvings of gods and goddesses, as well as an intriguing inscription on one of its pillars. Despite potential parking issues, the temple's maintenance is admirable and its evening illumination adds to its charm.
We visited this famous temple on a weekday, it is about 20mins away from the Warangal railway station. Like me, don't be surprised if you cannot see the 1000 pillars at once, if you look closely, the 1000 pillars are engraved intricately close to one another and form the walls of the temple. The beautiful carvings are on the walls and ceilings are mesmerizing, the temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. The vibe here is so serene, we spent about 40mins here. There is no entry fee. The well maintained park surrounding the temple premises is good for relaxing. A must visit place for architecture and history enthusiasts.

Travel: It was easy to locate and reach the destination. But there might be a problem of parking space.
Destination: As it was evening time, the crowd was not hefty and the entire place was commendable for it's maintenance and illuminating. The main temple certainly consisted of carvings of gods and goddesses, with the centre dome. Also something noticeable was that one of the pillars on the dome had some writing. The complete nuance of this heritage is wonderful to explore.
Amenities: I haven't figured this one and not sure if they have washrooms and other facilities.
Summary: It is a good place to know our heritage and to explore it's ferocity.

The Thousand Pillar Temple in the town of Hanamakonda, part of Warangal, Telangana State is one of the most significant religious sites with an amazing architecture! The temple is supported by a thousand richly carved pillars each of which are placed carefully in a way that it stands out of the view of the deities. The three presiding deities of this temple are Lord Shiva, Lord Surya and Lord Vishnu.

The Thousand Pillar Temple, located in Warangal, Telangana, India, is a remarkable example of Kakatiya architecture. Built in the 12th century, it features intricate carvings, richly adorned pillars, and a unique star-shaped platform. Despite its name, it actually has fewer than a thousand pillars. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Surya, representing Hindu trinity. Its historical and architectural significance attracts tourists and devotees alike

RUDRESWARALAYAM / THOUSAND PILLAR TEMPLE-
Rudreswara Temple locally known as Veyisthambhalagudi (Thousand Pillars Temple] is one of the fine and earliest available examples of Kakatiya art, architecture and sculpture. It was built by Rudra Deva and named after him as "Sri Rudreswara Swamy temple with the presiding deity as Rudieswarg In 1163 CE in the style of later Chalukyan and early Kakatiyan Architecture. The Plan of the temple is star shaped and triple shrine (Trikulalaya houses three deities Rudresward Vasudeva and Suryadeva in Western, Northern and Eastern shrines respectively around a central hall RangaMandaps) The lemple measures over 31 x 25m and stards on a platform raised to a height of 1 m from the ground. There is a KalyandMandapa located to the South of the temple famously known as Thousand Pillared Mandapa, which has about 300 pillars. The unique lype of foundations known as send box technique was integrated to raise the temple complex which subsequently turned to be the major cause for their damage and abandonment. Ine skill of Kakaliya Sculptors is manifest in adroit crafts man ship and flawless ivory carving technique in their ast. The ingenuity of Kakaliya sculptors is visible in likes of lathe turned, and shiny polish in colerite and granite stone sculpture and craft works of RangeMandage. The roof of the temple is devoid of any superstructure at present.
There is a Nandi placed in the open space placed between the main temple and the pillared mandapa. The garlond of bells
round the neck and with other ornaments embellished on the Nandi portrays Kakatiye touch. The elegant carvings at the richly decercted pillars under a spacious ceiling spanning the embellished side slabs identical to wood carvings is an achievement of unparalleled excellence of ine Kakatiya Architect. Other units here include a rectangular stepped Pushkorini, a thorana entrance in the East.

Historic place with beautiful architecture. With great and old history, Temple is located in hanumakonda,
One of the popular places to visit in Warangal !!!
The main attraction of this place is their pillars which attracts people from various places. Madapamu made with thousand pillars, so this place famous with thousands pillars temple,
neglected by the state Government, I was visited around 18 years back, on that time madapamu little bit damaged, they are tried to set, they removed some pillars, unexpectedly archaeology department found water in below the madapamu, previously they built on water, They is connection between bhadrakali temple and thousand pillars madapamu, they are neglected and taken so many year’s, I was visited in recently still they are constructing, and also I observed that previously is spacious place, I feel that temple place is occupied, constructed houses,
it is a Lord Shiva temple also known by Rudreshwara Swamy temple, I feel that something is missing in temple( I was visited so many years back)
It is a calm and quiet place to be visited in the early morning and late evening to experience this historic temple.
A pond is situated towards the left of the entrance , my last visit is not good, but now is good condition, government must take care and save heritage sites, this are represent our culture

One of the oldest and heritage temples we have. Great architecture. Visited on a holiday and was crowded. Parking is bit tough on holidays being located in busy area in Warangal. Need to add more lights in the premises. Construction, maintenance work is going on the day we visited, plus crowded. So couldn't spend much time, blessed to have darshan.🙏🙏🙏

I enjoyed visiting this place as it takes me back to my childhood days. Needless to mention about what an architecture marvel it is. At least I cannot describe in my own words. The temple is currently under renovation and there is work going on. It was little difficult to understand what they are trying to do, but hope whatever they do it will be best.
Temple is in city and just few minutes away from Badrakali Temple. So if you plan to visit cover that as well. We could not due to time constraint.
There is small well kind of place, it's called Kolanu where devotees probably used to take bath in olden days. Now it's a residence for loads of tortoises. It was nice to see, it did not become shabby with plastic and dirty, except water turned totally green with moss.
All said and done, I enjoyed visiting the place in past and present and will any day love it in future too. 😀

Very old and historic temple but not well maintained. Don't expect too much and go you will be upset. It's like a normal temple but there is a history. People outside the temple will sell the coconut set but they will not be allowed to break anywhere in the temple. Overall devotional and located at the middle of the city.

It's a 12th century temple of lord Shiva. Ideally there are 3 gods here shiva, Vishnu and Surya. But only the temple of shiva is open for Darshan.
The whole temple is currently in renovating stage so we couldn't explore much around. Only the gates of the shiva temple were open for the tourists, rest of them were closed till further notice.

The Thousand Pillar Temple, located in Warangal, Telangana, is a remarkable architectural marvel dating back to the Kakatiya dynasty. Built in the 12th century, the temple is renowned for its exquisite design and intricate carvings. Despite its name, the temple actually has around 840 pillars, each uniquely adorned. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Surya, the temple reflects the rich cultural and artistic heritage of the region, making it a significant historical and religious site. Actually the temple is built with pillars without any walls and it is around 600 pillars. Also there is kalyanam place which is under renovation it is around 400 pillars so it is known as 1000 pillars temple. Lord Shiva is in the temple. Happy to be here. No photographs are been allowed inside the temple also we cant even sit inside the temple. Good to be here. Staff is good but they are rude to devotees. We cant say anything to them. They are been ordered with there superiors they are doing there duty. Overall best experience. Om Namah Shivayya. 🛕🙇🏻🙇🏻

This is a great temple. I had revisited this after long time and it continues to have the same vibe.
There is a shiva temple inside which allows visitors to do abhishekam on purchase of ticket. It also has two other temples with Surya bhagwan and vishnu but most of the times it will be closed.
There is quite less parking, if you’re visiting on holidays plan your visit correctly.

The famous architectural rich temple for lord shiva. The lord is called Rudreswara and the main deity in the Sanctum Santorum has marvellous pieces of figurines on the stone door frame.
The mandap has fine dressed pillars.
Since renovation with is going on a section of the temple is closed.
Is in the centre of the Warangal city. Parking hardly meets holiday rush. No amenities except a hand pump bore well.

Awesome experience! A half day fun trip. The place is easy to locate on the ORR. The studio tour is main attraction having Baahubali set and all. The other shows were also fun and entertaining. Has many eateries and lots of seating. The buses also take you around from place to place, so medium amount of walking. The crowd management is excellent and it's overall a fun trip.

Worth a visit if you are on a trip to Hyderabad - it is around 1 1/2 hours drive from City Centre. Gives an idea as to how films are made and sets are constructed. Need to either reach by around 9 am or stay there in one of the hotels inside the previous evening as you need a full day to see everything. Even a full day is a bit rushed. Best to pick up tickets ('Studio Tour' is good enough) online, go to the centre point (Eureka), attend the opening ceremony at 9.45 am, proceed to Studio Tour/Eco Tour (must do), have lunch, then go for the shows. Don't miss the Wild West Stunt Show! Lights, Camera, Action is interesting too. Rest of the shows are average, especially for someone who has been to other studios/sets elsewhere. Food within RFC is average or even below average. RFC can make the experience better by putting up their detailed e-brochure, program and map on their website. Their email IDs and contact numbers on the website are unresponsive and this is an issue they should address. They should also plant more trees! Overall, it is a nice experience while on a Hyderabad trip but considering the resources, the management can do so much more to make it a 'must see before I die' experience.

Beautiful, gigantic but extremely overpriced and overhyped.
Pros:
A real city, you can get lost
Very beautiful and great for movie and nature lovers
Lots of greens and nice movie sets which can make you wonder
Cons:
Extremely overpriced
Kids can hardly enjoy
Toddlers will have to pay for the ticket although there is nothing for them
Some of the rides that kids and toddlers can enjoy will cost you extra, not included in the ticket
Bus tour route is circular, meaning A - > B - > C - > D - > A, so you can't visit, say point A from from point C.
You will get bored after a point as seeing only movie sets for the whole day is actually not that interesting as it sounds
P.S.:
Those who have seen Universal Studios and think this one also as the same, please note, that both are very different.

Fantastic experience. Car parking is near to ticket counter. Smooth entry and no waiting for bus. It takes about 15 minutes to actual Film City from ticket counter. Thereafter everything is arranged and organised so well that it becomes a day to remember. The volunteers are polite and helpful guiding the tourists all day long. Besides many film sets, there are plenty of parks and they are maintained impeccably. The cleanliness all around is outstanding and kudos to all who maintain it. The shows are all good and try not to miss them. Small food kiosks are available at every site and reasonably priced. Washrooms are very very clean. Moreover, drinking water is available at every place and one need not carry water bottles. The free rides offered in park are awesome. Moving around in customized red buses is special. Top class! I was surprised that we have places like this in India.
Very well organized right from the time you enter the parking. All the shows were superb.
If you don't want to miss anything, reach there early - it takes one full day.
Towards the end there is butterfly park and collection of beautiful birds - they even have Ostriches.
Cafeterias are clean and food is okay.
When you reach, don't forget to take the bus tour first, that way you will know how much you are actually going to see and you can plan your time spent at each attraction properly.
A must visit place. The ticket rates are extremely reasonable. In fact, towards the end, I heard so many people say the tickets are priced so low considering what they have on offer.
Totally worth it!!!

It is a very good place for people who have seen the movies and love to explore the sets. Overall it is not worth the ticket price. All the items here are overpriced. The items in the adventure park are also way too costly. And the complementary ones are of no use. The food is good. The bus system is also a bit wierd. The buses only leave when there is a significant amount of crowd in the bus. But otherwise it was a good experience.

Must visit while in Hyderabad.
Located around 60 kms from main Hyderabad city.
Spread over 1600 acres.
They have buses from the parking area to the film city and back.
Multiple buses are in service.
Full day tickets, morning or evening session tickets are available.
Very well organized and staff are always helpful and advice where to go after every show.
The usual waiting time is 15 to 20 minutes for the shows.
Multiple food stalls are available everywhere in the film city.
Food is costlier compared to hotels but still cheaper than malls.
Buses are available from point to point and are always available.
Need at least a full day to cover all the places.
The important thing is people will start getting tired by 4 pm since we need to walk a bit within the studios even though buses are there.

If you are going to Hyderabad and not visiting "Ramoji Film City" then you should think 2Wice.
So being an Indian we all have lots of influence of Indian Cinema Directly or indirectly on our life's through music, comedy, films, stories or any other way. So Ramjoji gives us the insight what goings on the other sides of the screen and how they shows us larger then life characters, scenes, actions.
Its worth the price for sure. You need a whole day to explore and you should start early with the opening ceremony and you should stay till closing ceremony. Staff puts lots of efforts for sure to make sure we are having fun in a cinematic style.
Few things which they lack or its not worth is the food they sell inside. Had very bad experience with this. Being so pricy they don't deliver the kind so service you expect and even the food quality is not that great. Specially buffets are not watched for the hygiene or the cleanliness. So my 4 star are for the food outlets they have inside.
Other than food it was an wonderful experience for sure.
Thank You. 🙏🏽

The place is great for history and art enthusiasts. It was full packed down on Saturday when I visited. People come with full families.
There are so many attractions in the museum. We waited for the musical clock but it was not that worth it.
But, the elephant tusk section is really good, though. Metal section is also really good. It's way way better than the museum at Chowmahalla Palace.
The cafeteria is okay, you will get everything but would have to pay good money. Not enough space, it was total chaos at the cafeteria. Although, there is a restaurant, it was outside the main museum building.
Visit on a weekday if you want to explore peacefully but I have heard, its mostly crowded everyday.

Providing a captivating journey through the dynastic past. The museum offers a rich tapestry of artifacts, each telling a unique story of the eras. Exploring its exhibits becomes a fascinating exploration of the history of Hyderabad and its rulers. The meticulously curated collection allows visitors to connect with the cultural legacy, unraveling the nuances of the city's history. It's not just a museum; it's an immersive experience that becomes even more enriching when shared with children. Spending time here with kids offers a valuable opportunity to impart a tangible understanding of Hyderabad's history, creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of appreciation for the cultural heritage. Only drawback, needed more maintenance else everything is good here.

A very well maintained museum. The ticket prices are very less just Rs 50 for adults and Rs 20 for children. They are charging 50 rs per mobile which I feel is fine.
The museum is well organized with different rooms on a separate level.
The main attraction is the veiled Rebecca and Cuckoo clock. They have provided a floor map on each ticket which is kind of helpful. They have a food court which has a lot of food items and it is required since one can spend the whole day in this museum.
For kids there is a lot of learning going through each room and I can see the excitement in the kids faces. The museum houses unique collections of art and collectibles from around the world.

I can say that this is must visit place if you are in Hyderabad.
Ticket Price: 50 rupees
Camera use charge: 50 rupees
You can easily spend almost half of your day here. There are many things to see here. You will find versatility here. From one to another room just visit and experience different things from history.
Things you must see.
1. Musical Watch (see video posted)
2. Double face statue
3. Armour used by kings
4. Handicrafts made with elephant teeth (although it was a cruel process separating teeth but it just happened in history so you can enjoy art on them)
5. Western and eastern blocks to see the culture of European and Asian countries
There is a food court inside and good number of washrooms and water facilities are available.
You should purchase a camera ticket.

Located near MG Road metro, this place is a gem of Hyderabad. Entry fee is 50 rs, but will recommend to spend another 50 bucks for camera ticket as mobile phones are not allowed inside. The museum boosts of one of the greatest collections of the world. The place demands minimum 3-4 hours if you want to at least just visit every part of the museum. The museum has collection from different parts of the world. Veiled Rebbeca and singing clock are the two most sought after attractions of the museum. Overall verdict - definitely recommended.

Good place to visit. All the artifact's are stored nicely. Musical clock is the major attraction. Lift facility should be provided for senior citizens and disabled people. Food court to be improved. More seating to be added and counters should also be added at least on holidays. Over all good place to visit.

There are several sections such as french, Japanese, Chinese and of course Indian history. I would suggest booking tickets online. Overall the experience was good

Great museum with such a wide collection of exhibits and paintings. Even the architecture is beautiful and the entry fee is also very affordable with it being 50rs. The one drawback is for each phone or camera you have to pay extra to take inside. The canteen is good too. Overall a good space with such a unique collection and well maintained.

Ive been visiting this place on and off since I was a kid. Always mesmerized by the collection held here. Although, this particular time it was a bit disappointing to see the state of the building. Perhaps some care can be shown to modernize the display cases specially on the ground floor to really show how impressive this collection is. The pieces are beyond impressive but presentation let's them down a little bit.

Such a huge and vast museum. So many things to see many historical things are kept here. Parking charges for bikes are 20 rupees and entry tickets for Indian adults - 50, child - 20 and for mobile and camera they charge 50 also. I think that's ok. The mobile ticket will get access to use the audio guide for the museum and I think that's a good integration and it makes the ticket worth it and justify the pricing. In this huge museum you have to pay for everything even for the washroom. Online tickets are a little complicated. Otherwise everything goes smoothly.

The museum has such a beautiful collection, which unfortunately contrasts with the state of the building it is hosted in. The place is not kept clean and is rundown. On a normal day, the museum is very overcrowded, to the point it is difficult to enjoy the beautiful displays. There is a cafeteria that feels unhygienic and lacks things like a Coke Zero. As for tickets, there is no online booking, quite some queues to get tickets on arrival, and you need to buy separate “phone tickets” if you wish to take pictures. The main attraction is an old English clock. Beautiful museum, but didn’t really enjoy the day there.

Beautiful well maintained historic artifacts. I loved the brass room, glass room. Dresses worn in those times. A beautiful very old clock chime was the pinnacle of my visit...about 100 sat in utter silence for the hourly chime and then a thunderous applause of the audience.

Charminar, a 16th-century mosque in Hyderabad, India, is an iconic architectural and cultural symbol of the city. Built by Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah to commemorate the end of epidemics caused by water shortage, this UNESCO World Heritage site stands tall amidst the vibrant Laad Bazaar. The massive structure features four grand arches facing cardinal points and 48-meter-tall minarets atop each column.
The name u remember when u think of Hyderabad. It stands tall in the centre of the city with local market and business bustling all around.
We can go on top with a nominal entrance fee of rs 25 and enjoy the view. Really worth it.

Amazing historical monument . Ver well preserved . Do ensure you climb to the top tip if you are scared of narrow pathways a and stairs stay away it’s a very steep and high rise stair set . Elderly with knee or leg pain stay away as you cannot return as it a one way stair once started will have to go to the top . Once on top will have to return as well . The view from the top is magnificent. And is worth all the efforts . The surrounding is packed with shops and sellers . There is a tea shop do get tea from there and the famous Hyderabad biscuits . There is a mix biscuits box which has all the flavors . They do t allow bags so either don’t take bags or sacs else keep it as the deposit station for 20 rs an hour . It’s a no vehicle done do have to park a bit far and then walk .

Charminar is a true icon of Hyderabad and a must-visit for anyone exploring the city's rich history. This historic monument, with its distinctive architecture and cultural significance, is a sight to behold. However, my recent visit to Charminar left me with mixed feelings.
The monument itself is undeniably beautiful, and the surrounding area has a unique charm. The intricate details and the grandeur of Charminar are worth admiring. It's a great place for history enthusiasts and photography lovers. The view from the top is also quite impressive, offering a panoramic glimpse of the city.
However, my experience was marred by the overwhelming crowd of street vendors that has taken over the area. While these vendors add a vibrant touch to the ambiance, they also make the place extremely hectic. Navigating through the bustling streets to get a clear view of Charminar can be a bit of a challenge. If you're looking for a serene and peaceful atmosphere, this might not be the best place to visit.
To truly enjoy Charminar, I would recommend taking a taxi or ride-sharing service to get as close to the monument as possible. This will save you from the chaos of parking and the hassle of weaving through the street market. Be prepared for some persistent vendors trying to sell you various trinkets and street food, which can be distracting.
In summary, Charminar is a significant historical site that is definitely worth a visit, but the experience can be somewhat marred by the chaotic atmosphere created by street vendors. To make the most of your visit, consider taking a taxi to get closer to the monument and enjoy its architectural beauty without the added hustle and bustle.

However the place is very hard to access, the entire area is overcrowded with people and hawkers. It is a sad sight to see that government has done nothing to keep the area clear around a historical monument.

This is one of the significant historical identities of Hyderabad. What a place! This is a must-visit for anyone in the city, and the colors and atmosphere in the evening are superb. I’m reliably informed that weekends are particularly busy, and given the number of people on the mid-week day I visited, I’d encourage you to avoid them too, but it’s well worth battling the crowds to get into the center of the action. There are so many market sellers, although none are too pushy, live performances, and a generally friendly vibe. The history is great; there are so many good photo opportunities and a real insight into the local culture. Highly recommended.

Be prepared to face heavy traffic as you approach the minar due to narrow roads. I would recommend coming in an auto or two-wheeler to get the best experience. Also, be aware of pickpockets and thieves.

Hussain Sagar Lake, located in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, is a popular tourist destination. This man-made lake was constructed in 1562 to meet the water and irrigation needs of the city. It is surrounded by Lumbini Park, Indira Park, and Sanjeeviah Park. The centerpiece of the lake is a large Buddha statue situated on a rock.
I would recommend visiting this place when sun is low, because the lighting at the statue of budhha is mesmerizing... And when sun totally sets down then the street lightining view is wonderful . You can do boating or can take boat to go near the statue which is in the centre of the lake..

Keeping in mind the necessity of maintaining a well-rounded decorum for the young people, there is the sanjeevaiah children's park only allowing children inside. TankBund is a place where you can enjoy the view if only you visit early in the morning. With years there has been a decent improvement in cleanliness to seating arrangement. The water is serene but not completely clean. Hyderabad needs a lot of improvement in regard to cleanliness and throwing of waste. People throw here and there even after seeing the trash buckets. There should be a law passed for this specifically - maybe there can be a change in regard to cleanliness. Otherwise you can enjoy the fresh air and have a calm family time.

Hussain Sagar was built across a tributary of the Musi river in 1563 by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah. The lake was named after Hussain Shah Wali, who was the Master of Architecture in the Kingdom. It is an artificial lake that holds water perennially fed by canals from Musi river. Hussain Sagar was the main source of water supply to Hyderabad before Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar were built on river Musi.
The Buddha statue was chiseled out of a white granite rock, weighing 450 tons. It was carved by 200 sculptors for two years. The statue was transported to Hyderabad in November 1988. After initial problems, the statue was erected on 12 April 1992 on a red lotus pedestal.

Exploring Hussain Sagar Lake is incomplete without indulging in a boat ride. Several options, including motorboats and pedal boats, are available for visitors to explore the lake's tranquil waters. A boat ride offers a unique perspective of the surrounding landscapes and allows you to soak in the serene ambiance of the lake. Adjacent to Hussain Sagar Lake, Lumbini Park and Necklace Road provide additional recreational opportunities for visitors.

Hussain Sagar is a large artificial lake situated in the heart of Hyderabad, India. Built during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah in 1563, it is one of the largest man-made lakes in Asia. The lake is known for its iconic Buddha statue located on an island called Gibraltar Rock. Boating, leisurely walks along the promenade, and the picturesque Necklace Road that surrounds the lake make Hussain Sagar a popular recreational spot in Hyderabad.

Birla Mandir is a stunning Hindu temple located in Hyderabad, India. Situated on a 13-acre land atop a 280-foot hill called Naubat Pahad, it is a popular religious site for Hindus and travelers alike. Inaugurated by Swami Ranganathananda of the Ramakrishna Mission, this modern marble temple boasts intricate carvings and shrines. The serene atmosphere and scenic views make it a must-visit destination.
My most favourite place in the whole city. Extremely peaceful and breathtaking. They don’t allow the phones at all and actually that’s nice because you get to mindfully enjoy the whole scenery out there, you can see the Beautiful Buddha statue and the water flowing in Tank Band, heavy and busy city traffic, beautiful white marble architecture all around you, very serene deities and calm atmosphere.

The most beautiful and well maintained and most cleanest temple. It is on the top of the hill. Need to use approx 200 stairs. But steps are not so big. Convenient for old age people also. There is lift also. Cameras not allowed inside. View from temple are amazing especially in rainy season.

Birla Mandir in Hyderabad is a magnificent temple that stands as a testament to architectural grandeur and spiritual serenity. The temple, also known as Birla Temple, is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara and is perched atop a hillock, providing a breathtaking panoramic view of the city.
The temple's white marble architecture is striking, with intricate carvings and ornate designs that showcase the craftsmanship of the artisans. The serene ambiance within the temple complex offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling city below.
One can feel a sense of tranquility while exploring the temple premises and admiring the detailed sculptures depicting various mythological stories. The blend of traditional South Indian temple architecture with modern aesthetics adds to the temple's uniqueness.
Visitors often praise the well-maintained surroundings and the cleanliness of the temple. The lush gardens and fountains enhance the overall beauty of the site, providing a serene environment for both worshipers and tourists.

The best place to visit in Hyderabad if you want to visit Lord Sri Venkateswara and his majestic abode atop a hill. It's made of pristine white marble and intricate beauty lies everywhere the eyes go. From gorgeous meadow like hills covered in bougainvilleas and the Idol the outide and inside in black which is supreme, majestic and beautiful to gaze at. The patio behind and outside the temple has wide space where you can sit and meditate. No phones allowed inside the premise. And a panoramic view of Hyderabad is an extra highlight. Visited the beautiful Mandir in Hyderabad and was thoroughly impressed with the serene atmosphere and meticulous maintenance. Situated in the middle of the city, the Mandir is a peaceful haven that radiates cleanliness and hygiene, creating an aura of Shanti, peace, and Sukoon.
The highlight of the visit was the requirement to submit mobile phones and electronic valuables before entering the temple premises. This unique practice allowed me to fully immerse myself in the spiritual experience without any distractions. The management's efficiency in handling this process was commendable, contributing to a truly tranquil environment.
Additionally, the Mandir offers breathtaking scenic views that add to the overall charm of the place. If you're seeking a serene escape in the heart of the city, this Mandir is a must-visit. The combination of cleanliness, tranquility, and well-managed facilities make it a standout destination for spiritual seekers.

Golconda Fort, located just 11 km from Hyderabad, was the capital of a kingdom that thrived from the 14th to 16th century. The fort boasts 87 semi-circular bastions and sits atop a 120-meter high granite hill surrounded by massive ramparts. It passed through the hands of various dynasties before being claimed by the Qutb Shahis in the 16th century.
Nice historical place, you can see the city from top.
Different things to see and explore hardly takes 2 hrs to go around and cover it fully.
Availability of food just outside the gate.
There are shops where you can have food, juice, coldrinks and ice cream as well.
Nice place to go with friends and family for a short day outing.

We are from Thane/Mumbai and this was my first visit to Hyderabad and to the Golconda fort. We had a really thrilling and wonderful experience at the site. Firstly, the day luckily was amply breezy, so architecturally beautiful and the scenic beauty was evident as we climbed to the top, nearly 700 plus steps.
The site has been kept clean and the caves and rooms provide a cool shade for the brief pauses as one climbs to the top.
It really is a photographer's delight!!

Though morning and noon will be less crowded.

Nice place to visit if you are in Hyderabad. The evening light and sound show is under repair hence we couldn't watch it. This happens in evening 6:30. Make sure you check it's website before planning for this show.
Fort is big and has good history. Make sure you either read book or better take a tourist guide along. There are places where even if you whisper the sound travels more than a kilometre. Very thoughtful how in history people actually used knowledge of science which we just read and never use. Simple concepts but executed in perfection.
You do not have washrooms here. So take care.

A must visit place to visit due to its historical significance. You should visit the fort in day time and avoid entering it after 4pm as the fort closes at 5.30pm in the evening.
You will need around 2 to 3 hours and keep some food handy with you, you will not get anything except drinking water at the fort. It is recommended to visit during the second half of the day and then continue with a sound and light show at the fort to know its rich cultural history.

Embark on a grand exploration of Golconda Fort, one of the largest forts I've encountered. The sheer magnitude of this historical marvel demands around 3 hours for a thorough exploration. While guides await at the gate to unfold Golconda's rich history (for a fee), the real magic lies in witnessing the breathtaking architecture and stone walls, far more mesmerizing than the pages of history books.
The fort's meticulous upkeep, coupled with convenient refreshment shops inside, ensures an enjoyable visit. The panoramic bird's-eye view from the top is nothing short of spectacular, offering a deep dive into history and culture. A small temple adds a touch of serenity to the experience. Make it a must-watch if you find yourself in Hyderabad, and don't miss the mesmerizing light show after dark.
Immerse yourself in the charm of old-world architecture at Golconda, a sprawling site that warrants ample time for exploration. Capture picturesque moments at various vantage points, especially during the enchanting sunset from the fort's summit. The cityscape unfolds beneath, providing a stunning backdrop for photography enthusiasts.
While the ascent may require some walking, the effort pays off with breathtaking views and numerous photo-worthy spots. Discover a small temple and strategically placed shops offering water, juices, and snacks, sparing you the need to carry provisions. This photogenic haven, however, comes with a plea: cherish the beauty, dispose of waste responsibly in the provided bins throughout the campus.
Historical enthusiasts will find Golconda Fort a monumental gem, a colossal palace offering a panoramic view of Hyderabad. For those seeking more insights, guides are readily available, and the modest entry fee of Rs. 25 for adults makes it an accessible and enriching historical excursion. Overall, a captivating blend of history, culture, and scenic splendor awaits at this iconic fortress. ✨🏰👌

Golconda Fort is definitely a must-visit place when you are in Hyderabad which is 8 to 10km away from the main city. The entry ticket is 25₹ and you require at least 2 to 3 hours to explore the Fort completely. To understand the Fort and its history in detail you may hire a guide.
The Fort and area are very well maintained but ruined by the so-called tourists by throw plastics everywhere.
The Fort area is very big and requires hiking to reach the top, be enough hydrated and carry a water bottle along with you. The best time to visit is either morning or post 4 to avoid the sunburns.

The 15th-century Bidar Fort, renowned for its Islamic monuments and water-supply system, is a historic fortress located in South India. It was once the administrative capital of much of the region and is now known for its impressive size and triple moat made from solid red rock. The fort's entrance, which leads through three gateways in an elaborate chicane, gives it a fairy-tale appearance.
We planned a one day trip from Hyderabad. It is just about 140 kilometers away from Hyderabad. This amazing fort was rebuilt and renovated by Bahmani dynasty ruler Ahmad Shah 1. This is an wonderful place to explore. Don't be in a rush, take your time and enjoy the beauty of this place. Plenty of 2 wheelers were allowed inside including Autos as well till the temple area. There is a Hindu temple in one of the corner areas of the fort.
Local authorities or ASI should concentrate on improving the facilities here & maintain it in a proper state.

Visitors are allowed in most part of the fort, some parts are closed to public. You would need a couple of hours to roan around.

It's so near to Hyderabad. The fort was really big and nice.. You will need almost 1 and 1.5 jr to properly visit all the areas. No shaded place is there. So better to carry something which will protect from direct sunlight.

Bidar fort is a huge place with many remarkably well maintained structures. Exploring the entire fort will take 2-3 hours, and you can explore most of the ramparts, walls and old buildings. Many of the more prominent buildings are in ruins and have restricted access, but the real fun is in exploring the other parts of the fort. Ensure to carry lot of water as the place is huge and has limited shade, and can get hot on sunny days. Security personnel won’t allow DSLR or video cameras but your phone camera is allowed at most paces with the exception of the museum, photography is not allowed in the museum. Plastics aren’t allowed into the fort, and the place is relatively clean. If only there was a guide who could provide insights then the experience would be even better.

A very interesting place to spend time. The fort is quiet nicely preserved and has been maintained very nicely too. It's a huge fort, so be ready to walk a lot. Not a good place to take tiny toddlers, else you will have to become their ride after few mins.
Good thing is the place has water dispensers so that you don't die of thirst.
Greatly photogenic.
Please maintain the dignity of the place and don't litter when you visit.
Tickets can be bought online.
Parking for 2 wheelers is available outside the fort.

It is a good place to visit, its distance from Hyderabad city is about 2 hours. There is also a Gurudwara here, from which its distance is only 10 minutes. According to my opinion, the time to go here is December and January only.

Very nice place to see old architecture, museum and so on. No trekking is needed , free bike parking, security is there, no entry fees, carry umbrella water in summer season as you have to walk a lot. Many places to take photos. After the fort you can visit Bahamani tombs and local Bidri artwork shopping. It’s a small town but a nice one.

Good fort area, no major surveillance: though it is a restricted sight from the Archeological survey of India. People are able to utilise the internal roads of the fort.
People can do whatever they want to.
Keeping a minimal ticket cost would avoid those disturbances away.
Very vast place with minimal information, maybe a walk through video link will help understanding the greatness of the fort well.

Only thing you need to cover your head before with cloth or turban to enter into the Gurudwara.
Bad experience was, we took the AC room to rest, but ACs are not in working condition and they have charged the complete AC charges even they are not working.

Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib is a Sikh historical shrine situated in Bidar, Karnataka. Gurdwara Nanak Jhira Sahib was built in the year 1948 and is dedicated to the first Sikh guru Guru Nanak. Bidar has a very long association with Sikhism as this is the home town of Bhai Sahib Singh, one of the Panj Pyare (five beloved ones), who offered to sacrifice their heads and were later baptised as the first members of the Khalsa. The Gurudwara is established in a nice valley, surrounded by laterite hills on three sides. The shrine comprises Darbar Sahib, Diwan Hall and Langar Hall. In the sukhaasan room, Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikh is placed. There is a separate room called the Likhari Room, where donations are accepted and receipts are issued. Inside Gurudwara Nanak Jhira Sahib A beautiful Gurdwara has been constructed after the independence of India in 1948[1] by the side of the spring. The water from the spring is collected in a small Amrit Kund (a holy water tank) built opposite to the front stairs of the Gurudwara . It is believed that a holy dip is enough to cleanse the body as well as the soul. There is a free community kitchen (Guru Ka Langar) where free food is given to pilgrims 24 hours night and day. A Sikh museum has been built in the memory of Guru Tegh Bahadur, depicting the important events of Sikh history through pictures and paintings.
The Gurudwara is a must visit for people of all beliefs and religions. Makes one feel thankful and closer to the almighty. Gurdwara Sri Nanak Jhira Sahib is as scenic as it is serene and tranquil. From the residential Sarah, you walk past a path of trees and then a bridge to reach the pure and perennial sarovar and then march up the stairs towards central expanse, from where you hear melodious kirtan throughout the way.
It is ivory and seamlessly beautiful in daylight and adorned with multicoloured lights in the night.
The provisional facilities of various blocks of Sarah are top notch too.

It's one of the most beautiful Gurudwara Sahibs. It's a historical place related to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. During one of his Udasis, he visited here while the land was in the grip of a famine. At the request of locals, Sri Guru Nanak Ji performed a miracle to bring about a spring of water from the laterite rock mountain. Till this day, crystal clear water flows from here. The sangat can take the holy water from here to drink and to carry back home.
Daily afternoon at about 01 pm, chaunki ki Ardaas is done here. Every pilgrim visiting from Nanded Sahib tries to attend that Ardaas.
The sarowar (Holy Pond) looks very beautiful due to blue tiles and crystal clear water. The view of Gurudwara Sahib from the Sarowar side is a sight to behold.
Langar is served 24/7.

This Gurudwara is close to Hyderabad and is located in a quiet place in Bidar. Google Map directions will take you here well.
The pious place of worship is very neat, clean and well managed. I went for langar and had a great experience. Darshan doesn't take long if you go on regular days or weekends.
Sit inside the Gurudwara for ardaas to feel at peace or meditate and I strongly encourage you to donate some money after eating langar. Noone forces or pressurizes you to donate here , it's a good feeling when you give something back after eating there.
There is enough parking outside the premise. There is also a green park for those who prefer greenery around places of worship.

Shri Tulja Bhavani Temple, situated in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra state, is an ancient and venerable Hindu temple with colorful towers and a black stone idol of a mother goddess. A popular pilgrimage destination for devotees from neighboring states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The temple's construction dates back to ancient times and its structure is captivatingly beautiful.
On the way we came across Akkalkot, a famous pilgrimage place where Akkjalkot Maharaj, one of Dattareya's incarnations, lived. The road is very wide with four lanes and quite smooth. So we reached our destination in one hour. The temple is built in Maharashtrian style with a small conical tower on which sculptures of Bhavani are seen. There is a huge crowd waiting in serpentine queues. The way leading to the temple is quite long with many shops on either side. At the entrance of the temple premises there is a big tree where you find a small cradle with a goddess. Brahmins came to help us in performing pooja to the main goddess inside the sanctum.
later asked us to stand in the line till we proceed to the main sanctum. It took nearly one hour to reach the sanctum. Many villagers with their families came and sang songs about Devi Ma.

Tulja Bhavani is a form of goddess Parvati who is worshiped in Maharashtra, and also by people of Telangana, Northern Karnataka and Nepal Bhavani translates to "giver of life", meaning the power of nature or the source of creative energy. She is considered to be a mother who provides to her devotees and also plays the role of dispensing justice by killing Asuras.Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj the founder of the Maratha kingdom, always visited this temple to seek blessings.[citation needed] The legend has to its credit to say that the Goddess gave him a sword called ‘Bhavani kadga’' by using which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was successful in his expeditions. The history of the temple dates back to the days of ' Skanda Purana ' as it finds a mention in that holy script. According to the epic story, there was a sage "Kardam" and his consort "Anubhuthi’ with an infant, in this area. After his death his wife "Anubhuthi" performed a penance for goddess in the name of Bhavani on the banks of river "Mandakini" to look after her child. There was a demon (Rakshasa) by name "Kukur" who tortured her. Then Goddess Bhavani rescued Anubhuthi and killed the demon. The goddess on the prayer of her pet devotee settled on the hill of "Bala ghat". Since then the Mother Goddess came to be called as Bhavani of Tuljapur or Tulja Bhavani.
Mother Goddess Bhavani temple is the place where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj graced was blessed by Matha Bhavani.[citation needed] It is situated at Tuljapur as such it is popularly known as Tulja Bhavani Temple in district of Maharashtra. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peetas attributed to Goddess Parvati. The second among the 'Shaktipeetas' is Goddess Bhavani at Tuljapur. Bhavani is one who gives life and source of original power.
Tuljapur is at 45 km from Solapur. Historically this temple was built in 12th century. There is yet another Tulja Bhavani temple built in 1537-1540 in Chittorgarh. There is a third temple of Tulja Bhavani in the village of Patnakuva Gandhinagar in Gujarat. According to the priest, this Goddess came here from Tuljapur during 14th century. The Goddess is said to be swayambhu (self emanated). It is true that God or Goddess is always referred as ‘swayambhu’ in Vedas, Puranas and many legends. But it does not refer to the stone idol installed in a temple. What is attributed is to the invisible Supreme power.
The second among the 'Shaktipeeths' is Tulja Bhavani of Tuljapur. It is the family deity of the Bhosale Royal family, the Yadavs and of countless numbers of families belonging to different castes. The great ruler and founder of the Maratha kingdom, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited the temple as he was a prominent devotee of her, people believe that the Goddess gifted him a sword - 'The Bhawani Talwar' - to succeed in his expeditions. Tulaja word indicates to an old Hindu monastery at Tolaja village in the present Rawalpindi division of Pakistan.Along with temples of Renuka at Mahur, Mahalaxmi at Kolhapur, and Saptashringi at Vani, the temple of Bhavani at Tuljapur forms the four great Shaktipitha in Maharashtra.[3] Many legends are associated with the temple. One legend involves a demon, Madhu-Kaitabh, who was wreaking havoc upon both the gods and humans. Unable to find any solution, they turned to Lord Brahma for help, who advised them to turn to the Goddess Shakti. She took up the form of a destroyer, and powered by the other (Sapta) Mata Varaahi, Brahmi, Vaishnavi, Kaumaari Indraani, and Saambhavi, vanquished the demon and restored peace. Legend also states that Bhavani finished another demon that had taken up the disguise of a buffalo (Mahisha), and took shelter on the Yamunachala Hill which is part of Balaghat mountain range.

The temple is well-maintained, and the architecture and design are breathtaking. The intricate carvings and sculptures are a testimony to the exceptional craftsmanship of ancient India. The temple also has a serene pond and gardens, which add to the beauty of the surroundings.
The priests were knowledgeable and hospitable, and they guided us through the rituals with ease. The temple also offers various facilities like prasad distribution and donation counters, which were well-organized and efficient.
The atmosphere inside the temple was calm and peaceful, which made it easier to connect with the divine. The chanting of mantras and the sound of bells created a spiritual atmosphere that was awe-inspiring.

As we came across the temple there are nearby Hotel and Lodges available to stay with pocket friendly budget and very walkable distance from the temple
There are Many Hotels and Snacks restaurants nearby which are Pure Vegetarian.
The Tuljapur Bus Station is quite walkable from the temple it is around 1 km
There are no Proper Section/Service to keep our Footwears we have to rely on the shopkeepers which are selling Pooja Saman and Coconuts.
Also there were no proper que Management it was quite disappointing.

This 3 ft high idol has eight hands holding the head and arms of the demon Mahishasura. Sometimes identified as Turaja, Tvarita and Amba are the goddess Tulja

Maa Tulja Bhavani Devi Temple is a very powerful temple. Appears as a normal temple when observed but once you go inside you realize it is really vast. It is a very historic and very old temple but the foundations are still so good.
Approach highways are so well maintained as we travelled from Belapur - Kolhapur - Solapur - Tuljapur - Solapur - Belapur covering 800 plus Kms with utmost ease.

One of the Ancient Hindu Temple.
We visited just because we heard that it is one of the Shakti Peeth in India located in Tuljapur Maharashtra.
It's also famous for Shivaji Maharaj kuldevi.
It's well connected with Bus stand.
Lots of hotel and lodges are available nearby temple.
We stayed in 108 Bhakat Niwas.
Neat and clean facility with big room. AC room in just 2000 rupees..extra mattress costing for 200 if no of family members more than 2.
Hot water available for bathing between 3-6 am.
Temple opens at 3 am in morning. So it's advisable to go to temple early morning hours only.
Lots of rush during weekend. But best arrangement for queue management.

My visit to the Tulja Bhavani Devi Temple was a profound experience of serenity and spiritual upliftment. Revered by the Marathas, this temple's stunning black stone architecture creates a unique and enchanting ambiance. As I stepped inside, I was immediately embraced by the blessings and positive vibes of Goddess Tulja Bhavani, enhancing the divine atmosphere. While the temple often sees long queues during special occasions, visiting on an off day promises a more tranquil experience. Additionally, the surrounding market is a delightful spot for street shopping, offering a glimpse into the local culture and traditions. Overall, my visit to this holy place was truly remarkable, blending spirituality, culture, and history into an unforgettable experience.

Sai Baba’s early years are a mystery. Most accounts mention his birth as a Hindu Brahman and his subsequent adoption by a Sufi fakir, or mendicant. Later in life he claimed to have had a Hindu guru. Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi, in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, about 1858 and remained there until his death in 1918.
At first denounced by the villagers of Shirdi as a madman, by the turn of the century Sai Baba had a considerable following of Hindus and Muslims, attracted by his compelling teachings and his performance of apparent miracles, which often involved the granting of wishes and the healing of the sick. He wore a Muslim cap and for the better part of his life lived in an abandoned mosque in Shirdi, where he daily kept a fire burning, a practice reminiscent of some Sufi orders. Yet he named that mosque Dvarakamai, a decidedly Hindu name, and is said to have had substantial knowledge of the Puranas, the bhagvatgita, and various branches of Hindu thought. Sai Baba’s teachings often took the form of paradoxical parables and displayed both his disdain for the rigid formalism that Hinduism and Islam could fall prey to and his empathy for the poor and diseased.
Shirdi is a major pilgrimage site, and other spiritual figures like Upasani Baba and Meher baba credited the teachings of Sai Baba. In the late 20th and early 21st century Sathya Sai Baba claimed to be his incarnation.

Ranjangaon Ganpati is one among the Ashtavinayak, celebrating eight instances of legends related to Ganesha. This temple's Ganpati idol was inaugurated and donated by the "Khollam" family, a goldsmith family based in Ranjangaon. The temple was built between the 9th and 10th century. The main temple looks like it was built in the Peshwa period. Nagarkhana is situated above the entrance gate. The temple facing east has huge and beautiful entrance gate.
Madhavrao Peshwa made a room in the basement of the temple to keep the idol of lord Ganesh. Later on Sardar Kibe of Indore renovated it. The idol of these lord Ganesh is also named as 'Mahotkat', and it is said that the idol has 10 trunks and 20 hands.

One of the Ashtvinayak located near Pune, the premises is right on the highway and has 2 parking spaces. One on the left of entry and one after you go through the main gate.
The premises were under construction when I visited and I didn't like the crowd management queue system.
The way to go to the main temple was very confusing.
After you are done with the darshan, to pick your slippers, you have to go through the security part again and then come back extra.
There is a park in the premises which is nice for kids or families to sit and relax.
On the outskirts, you have a market to buy local stuff like vegetables, eatables etc.

One of the lord ganpati in the list of ashtavinayak temples. Maha means big. Many people visit daily. It's situated just near the Pune-Nagar highway so no extra travel is required to reach the temple. Huge parking area but it's paid. A huge entrance area and structure will be identified from the main road. One extra building is added just to manage the crowd. They allow us to skip lanes by paying Rs.100 per person, this is little convenient for rich people. Not a good posture in the temple all should be treated the same. Some of the stone structure and pictorial things made. But disappointed with the management when they are not allowing them to see them and see other things like the garden and entrance part of the main temple. The temple has a big history but manageable is not up to mark. Must visit place with your family members and friends. Avoid the weekend to avoid the rush.

The temple itself is super impressive, with lots of cool carvings and symbols on the walls. When you go inside, you feel really calm and peaceful, like Ganpati's watching over you.
People come to Mahaganapati Temple to pray to Lord Ganpati and ask for his blessings. It's a really important place for them, and you can feel the love and devotion in the air.

A temple that has a great history and follows a tradition which is centuries old, and that tradition is offering the golden magical powder (Turmeric) to Lord Khandoba and all the deities present with in the temple. Turmeric powder is - thrown in the air, applied to statues, and even given as offerings.
Khandoba is an avatar of Shiv Ji. The folklore says that there were two demon brothers who wreaked havoc amongst the villagers. Lord Khandoba killed one the of demon and spared life of the other when he promised to serve the rest of his life for social causes and helping the common man.
We went here on a Sunday, due to which it was very crowded. The free Darshana of Lord Khandoba takes around 3 hours while standing in queue for one’s turn. The queue moves in a serpentine manner with a snails pace. We avoided the queue and went for the express passes which is for ₹.100/- per person. It cuts the queue for you but even then you get to have darshan for merely 4-5 seconds and then they will push you to exit quickly.
I personally don’t like to visit temples with such massive unmanageable crowds and that demand to pay to enter the temple and have Darshan for 5 seconds. But since we have no choice we tend to pay them. An unhealthy business oriented environment that has been cropped up in most of our temples now a days. Also be aware of people who will lure you to perform any random Pooja and ultimately will ask for payments for the same.
Nevertheless, the temple has a beautiful history and good old traditions attached to it that should not be missed. Go on weekdays if possible to properly witness the serene environment of the temple.

A famous temple of Lord Khandoba in Jejuri town, Maharashtra. 🙏 You have to climb 200 steps to reach the temple. Not very difficult though, provides amazing views of Jejuri village and Saswad district and Dive ghat too...temple itself is a vibrant and full of energy.
it is around 50 kms from Pune, the nearest big city. Jejuri has its own railway station on Pune Kolhapur route. Pune is connected with air, rail, road to the rest of India. It will be a day visit to this from Pune.
Lord Khandoba, an avatar of Shiva is the most popular Kuldaivat, family deity (कुलदैवत ) in Maharashtra. My family also follow Him as Kuldaivat. People use Turmeric (Bhandara) to worship. Also devotees offer navas, a vow in exchange to achieve the desired goals. Some of them are very hard to follow.
Most interesting part I like is 'Gondhal (गोंधळ); performed by a group of devotees called "Gondhalis" (गोंधळी) as a regular ritual in a number of household ceremonies. Devotees from all over the Maharashtra visit for the blessings. Very divine place full of energy.
According to legend, two demons, Malla and Mani, were upsetting the Earth and worrying the sages. When Indra and Vishnu recognized their incompetence, the Sages begged Shiva for assistance. Shiva assumed the guise of Khandoba, rode Nandi (the bull), and led his army into battle against demons. His avatar is described as having a third eye with a semi-circular moon on the forehead and a turmeric-covered torso. Khandoba ultimately slew the demons after a hard battle.
Mani begged for forgiveness by immolating his white horse in front of him. He requested to be present in every temple in Khandoba and was served goat flesh by the people. Shiva fulfilled his wish and turned him into a demon. What if Khandoba called for the destruction of the earth and human flesh, Malla wondered? Khandoba became so enraged that he quickly decapitated Malla, who fell at the shrine's stairs and was crushed by the devotees' feet.
The temple was constructed around 1608 AD. Ragho Mambaji, a Maratha chieftain, finished the central mandap and other elements in 1637 AD. The Holkar emperors constructed the outer chambers and other areas. Tukoji Holkar assisted in the completion of the tank and battlefield around 1770 AD

This temple is ancient and dedicated to the avatars of Shiva called "Khandoba". Here the entire temple area has dipped in yellow turmeric because that is the main ingredient you give as an offering along with coconut to the lord Khandoba.
It is better if you dress in yellow and visit this place. Vehicles can go up to the last point from where the temple complex steps start. It has 400+ very steep steps to climb.
It is a kuldaivat (Family traditionally oriented god) of many in Maharashtra and nearby states too.
Very divine experience as you can take Tali bhandar (Thanking God and keep bless us prayer) 🙏 over in temple premises. Only if the local authorities can keep this place more clean. and organized (without bribe under name of god).
Tip:
Try to go on weekdays so that you will get darshan of god.
Try to avoid darshan through agents.
Keep water bottle with you. Keep on chanting yelkot yelkot Jay Malhar (येळकोट येळकोट जय मल्हार)🙏 this will definitely give you strength to walk on. Believe me when you will enter from mahadwar (महाद्वार) you will forget what and how you reached their.
Do not forget to offer abhishek to god along with Jagar-Gondhal and Tali-Bhandara. Within ₹3500-4000/- all these pujas will be completed

Jejuri - The Golden Place!
Luckily enough, I visited here on Sunday.. a crowded day.. and I realised it's much better to visit with the crowd rather than on a week day when fort is comparatively empty.. the amount of energy whole Bhakhta Gana brought... It was completely unmatched.. whole area ..whole surrounding were showing immense energy... It was just extraordinary...
Must visit at least once. 🙏
Durgesh Sirsate — Google review
The temple is dedicated to Khandoba, also known as Mhalsakant or Malhari Martand or Mylaralinga. Khandoba is regarded as the 'God of Jejuri' and is held in great reverence by the Dhangars. The temple was the site of a historic treaty between Tarabai and Balaji Bajirao on 14 September 1752.
Every Somavati Amavasya (new moon that falls on a Monday), devotees of Khandoba gather at the Jejuri temple with tonnes of turmeric, smearing it on each other and throwing it around amid energetic singing and dancing. The temple-town is known as ‘Sonyachi Jejuri’ (golden Jejuri) because of this colourful celebration.
Its unique architecture and cultural importance make it a must-visit for those interested in spiritual exploration and the rich heritage of Maharashtra.

The architecture of Jejuri Khandoba Temple is a testament to traditional Indian temple design. Thoseghar Waterfall is a picturesque and secluded destination, offering stunning vistas of cascading waterfalls and rolling hills. The tranquil setting provides ample opportunities for picnicking and enjoying the soothing breezes that surround the area. Visitors are encouraged to keep the environment clean and avoid littering plastic bottles. The best season to visit is during monsoon when two waterfalls, Big and Small, showcase their awesomeness.
Truly amazing! Beautiful scenaries of waterfall and hills. Soothing breezes of wind and water are treat to feel. Good space for parking four wheelers. A must visit.
Try not to throw plastic bottles around. Keep it clean.

One of the best waterfalls I have ever seen… We have visited in March and still enough water flow. From road easily accessible, well maintained walkway, direction indicators, information center and well informed photographed wild life details, CCTV managed, security personal… very minimal entry fee, if you’re using SLR for photo shoot you have to pay extra…

Amazing place to be. If you are looking for a small trail amid nature with good scenic views on the way, then this is the perfect place to visit.
Well we went here in the month of June. I did not find many people here. Though the guard there told me it’s very safe to walk on the trail and you could see the beautiful falls after a 15 to 20 minute walk.
I would recommend to go in groups here to enjoy the trail. We too enjoyed the trail and it was very easy to reach the falls as the place is well built and beautifully maintained. I even saw cctv cameras installed on the trail for safety. A perfect place to explore beautiful scenic valley and the waterfalls.
We Paid Rs. 50 for the entry. They even had toilets inside. Also, there were benches around to sit and enjoy the place.

So if you want to take a walk amid nature in a quite place, then this place is good to visit. Although there were very few people visiting the place, we felt a bit of alone there. It is a remote but nice place.

Nice place to go in rainy season. Big waterfalls ...very nice view. Only difficulties is we can watch it from distance. Good road/steps to go till viewing gallery. Safe for even small kids. Barcading/nets install to not go go in unsafe zone. Not much rush (at least on Saturday when we visited). Good time to go when we had lot of rain (to get giant view of falls).

Breathtaking Natural Beauty at Thoseghar Waterfall
Visiting Thoseghar Waterfall is an experience to remember! The waterfall is in full glory during the monsoon with its waters plunging from a height with a mesmerizing force. The surrounding greenery adds to the serene beauty, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers alike. There are in fact couple of waterfalls smaller and bigger.
The government has made substantial efforts to ensure the safety and convenience of tourists with well-maintained viewing platforms and clear signages. There are small eateries nearby offering local snacks, which adds to the charm of a day out here.
Accessibility isn't an issue as the place is well-connected by road; however, to view the waterfall requires a bit of a walk down the steps, which can be challenging for some but is definitely worth the effort.

Excellent place to visit. There are a series of waterfalls, some of them 15 to 20 metres and one of approx 200 metres in height. People come from all over Maharashtra to visit the area, especially during the rainy or monsoon season, July to November. Heavy rain falls during that season and because of this the falls have more water and are more spectacular. The immediate area is calm and quiet, with a clean lake and dark woods in a hilly area.entry fees 50/- rs per person.

The Kune Falls manor house overlooks the falls from a elevated perch and is one of the most secluded places you can visit in Lonavala. The views from here are spectacular, with water cascading down over tiers of rocks into a small lake below. It's definitely worth a trip to explore this beautiful spot, especially during the rainy season when the water pressure increases and makes for an even more amazing experience.

See the panoramic view of Kune Falls from Kandla Ghat view point. Don't follow this (Google Maps) location because it is inaccessible. There is no direct route to the falls. If you want to reach these falls, you have to trek more than 4 kilometers through forest and grassland. But even the local peopl are not aware of the exact location of these falls. If you're following the route suggested by locals, you will reach near to Della adventure park which is very costly.
