The iconic Gateway of India stone arch, built by the British Raj in 1924, stands proudly on the Mumbai Harbour waterfront. Nearby Elephanta Island houses ancient cave temples dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Additionally, Mumbai is renowned as the epicenter of the Bollywood film industry.
Navi Mumbai, a meticulously planned city adjacent to Mumbai in the Konkan division of Maharashtra, India, is positioned across two districts: Thane and Raigad. Good place for adventure with family. It is better to have passport they're offering, if you're a regular visitor.
It's refreshing experience for all after Corona.

The old jingle still is in my memory - "Essel world me rahunga main, ghar nahi jaaunga main.." I visited there in 2014 and relished my childhood memories of TV ad of perhaps the first amusement park of India. This is still a center of attraction, though there are many other avenues which are considered better and 'modern', but Essel world has its own set of fans, which make this a beautiful place. With family, its a good place. Must go by ferry through seaway, which makes the trip more enjoyable. It takes nearly one full day to explore full of the venue. They also have an exclusive water park in the same vicinity. You can surely enjoy a full day with your entire family.

Global Pagoda Road, Gorai Island, Borivali West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400092, India
Sanjay Gandhi National Park, formerly known as Borivali National Park, is a sprawling forested park located in Mumbai. It is one of the largest and most popular nature reserves in India. The park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including tigers and leopards. Visitors can explore the ancient Kanheri Caves within the park, which are Buddhist cave temples dating back to the first century BC.
Great place for the family together on the weekend. If kids are there, they will love to explore the animals and the caves. Lot of space to spend time. Avoid the hot afternoon as it is getting too hot these days. But no one from the administration is interested in the guests, visitors or at least I found nobody to guide us. Then there's this private van guys, who come to us. They asked for the rides to caves and Jain temples. They charged hefty amount. The staff is aware of all these intrusion maybe they'll get the share too.
Public is really patient and great. They will one day revolt against such management.
I am rating it 5 because I still hope if the staff supports the visiting public with a little more resources then kids from the city can learn a lot. It's a treasure of historical importance and full of greenery for the future.

Tiger safari and Kanheri caves are must visit places in Sanjay Gandhi National Park -
I visited this place last week. It was an amazing experience. Ample parking space is available. Rent a bicycle and roam the entire park. When I visited the boat riding was closed and the lion safari was closed due to some maintenance work.
While returning do visit their souvenir shop, they have amazing hand made crafts available at very reasonable prices.

SGNP is one of the very few national parks situated right in the heart of a metro city!
The park is amazingly well maintained and protected.
One can rent bicycles too every morning and roam around in the park.
There are plenty of small waterfalls, hikes and trails to visit.
Kaneri Caves is one of the main highlight places to visit.
It's also a beautiful place to jog/run every morning. You can buy a yearly pass at ₹287 which allows you to enter the park every morning before 7:30.

It was not fun at all. We had to stand in a long line to buy an entrance ticket that cost us ₹94. Then, we had to stand in another line to catch a bus, which cost us around ₹13, as private taxis were too expensive at ₹70 per person. After reaching there, everything was expensive, whether to buy or eat. Moreover, there was no proper water supply, and we had to buy a ₹25 ticket to see the Caneri cave. The guards were not allowing us to explore everything properly; they kept saying, 'Don't go there,' even though we were following all the guidelines. On our way back, we faced the same issue, having to stand in line for an hour to catch a bus. There was no network, and it was quite frustrating. If you plan to visit, please carry cash with you. Also, there were no animals, only monkeys. It's not worth the money and time.
Sumit Pandey — Google review
First of all, SGNP as a park in the middle of a bustling city. Its an epic place. if one wants to just walk in the midst of nature, hike, cycle, this is definitely the place to be.
Depending on what one wants to do, this place can either be great or it can be a disappointment.
To start with, although the park is well maintained, it fails miserably in "directions". There are absolutely no boards anywhere to tell you where anything is located, how far it is, how much time it takes to get there, how to get there. everything needs to be asked to the local taxi wala who will try to coax you into getting into their private taxi.
There are two rickety best buses to Kanheri caves. Cheapest option to get to the caves.
Kanheri caves - probably the best thing inside the SGNP. Its a historical marvel and an heritage. Must visit. Its mind boggling what a 1500 year old civilization could achieve in terms of rock cutting without modern tools. Be careful with the monkeys though.
Frequency of buses is not that great, so wait times are long.
The biggest pain and disappointment - THE SAFARI (AVOID)
The entrance to the safari is so far, and there are hardly any options to get there. Its a long walk and we were lucky to just get a buggy on the way back. its easily 2kms walk from the main entrance to the safari ticket counter. If you follow directions to the ticket counter, you will fall into the creek.
The safari is done in an AC bus and all you see are - 2 lazy lions, 5 lazy tigers and a few deers grazing. Absolutely nothing thrilling about it. The safari in the bus lasts around 20-30mins and its less than the time it would take to walk to the ticket counter and back. Its embarassing to even call it a safari. No thanks.
There are enough options for mini snacks available all over and drinking water too.
Restrooms are ok, could be maintained bettter.
Huge scope for improvement and miles to go to become world class.
Sharad Kambale — Google review
Place is okay. You can go up to Entry gate with you AC cars, then after that you have to take either the Best Buses or Local taxis to move further.
- There's boating place is ok.
- Tiger & Lion safari is available. But with the cost it seems cost is more compare to as you expect from it.
- Lots of Monkeys you will find there, you need to be cautious while eating food as monkeys can disturb you.
- Caves are nice if you have stamina to walk.
- Not recommended for senior citizens

Excellent weather! Full greenery and bus service was also quite frequent. Currently lion safari, mini train ride & boating is closed. Tiger safari is open. Bring good grip shoes with you otherwise you'll regret going in this season. I found rides unnecessarily pricey. This park is best in this rainy season. Highly recommended!

The national park is also called the lungs of the city and is the only national park in the world known to be present within a city’s premises. Far from the bustle of the city, the environment inside the national park is completely peaceful and offers serenity.
Spread across a total area of 103 square kilometres, the governing body of the national park is the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the footfall of visitors each year rounds up to a little over 2 million. The entire area of the national park forms approximately 20% of Mumbai’s geographical area.

If enjoying nature is your forte then this is the place for you. You will get to see a lot of greenery and will be able to click a lot of pics too if you're a pics person. The entry fee for an adult person is 85 rupees. If you are bringing a bicycle from rentals/home you need to pay separate charges of rs.33.
The entry fee for caves is rs. 25 per person If you want to enjoy it i would suggest visiting it with your group of friends. The best season to enjoy would be monsoon (or winter if you don't like rain). The small train is broken nowadays so it is out of options the way to bamboo trails/huts is also closed(maybe because of rain). You can take bicycles on rent from inside for rs. 80 for 2 hours. I would suggest renting the bicycles from inside only cause the bicycle rentals on the outside will just loot you (you can prefer them if you want bicycles with gear or if you have any other preferred type). Or you can take buses to visit different locations. It'll take 1 day to just visit Kanheri caves on a bicycle and return (if you want to enjoy it completely).
Bring your own food because you won't get variety to eat inside. There's a canteen inside near the caves but it provides only breakfast items and hygiene is not good.
Amey Jawale — Google review
I went on Sunday, Kanheri Caves are good, awesome greenery and a nice place to relax and enjoy the open sky by watching the entire national park greenery from the caves.
Don't go for Lion and Tiger safari it is a waste of time and money, the price is Rs.135 or so. One lion in an open cage in the lion safari area. Two tigers are there in an open cage, one or two deer freely roaming in the safari area.

A Good Part:
You can come to the National Park for a morning walk (at a very nominal yearly pass amount of Rs. 300+) which is the main facility offered for Borivalikars. Timings for the morning walk is 5 to 7:30 AM. Many thanks to NP authorities for this.
Also, you can do cycling 🚴 from 7:30 AM to 4:30PM where you can bring in your own cycle or you can hire @Rs.80 / Two hrs.
National park has an area of more than 100 Sq Kms. Most of the area is restricted 🚫 and visitors are not allowed to enter in the core areas.
Jungle trails / treks are conducted on weekends, where you can enjoy the peace and beauty of nature. Tulshi Lake Trail and Highest Point Trek are most recommended.
Tiger / lion safary, Kanheri Caves, Gandhi Tekdi, Boating are other highlights. If you are lucky, you can sight a leopard also on inner roads.
Now THE Complaints!
There is no pass checking (at least as of now and may be for the last 3 to 4 months) for morning walkers. All "Fukte" (ticketless 😜) people enters for a morning walk without a pass.
Since there is no checking at the entrance, visitors enters before 7:30 AM to avoid tickets. This is quite a normal on weekends. Also, there is no control on illegal entries from Thakur Complex, Devi Pada, Rishi Van. 😅
Senios citizens (specially Morning Walkers) have made National Park as their own bagicha doing chit chatting loudly, laughing endlessly, singing songs anywhere in the middle of the jungle! People easily forget that they are in a Jungle and not in Thakur Complex ka bagicha. 😝
On Saturday and Sundays people enters with loudspeakers and there is no control by the SGNP authorities. No checking of baggage at the gate. Authorities are so confident about visitors that they think every one will obey the Jungle rules! 😉
NGOs use the National Park space without paying any and earn money by promoting their activities (doing pravachan activities also 😱). People take yoga / zumba classes and even conduct marathon training by using the National Park area. Who allows this? 🤔
Post Covid, vehicles are not allowed in the Park. They are required to be parked in the parking area near the Entrance Gate. However, illegal entry of private cars / 2 wheelers can be seen inside the National Park. Who allows them is a big question. 🙄
Last but not the least .. soon, National Park will be the second Film City in Mumbai. Films, serials are shot here in a so-called protected area. Where a normal private vehicle is to be parked near the gate, 100s of crew vehicles including actors' vehicles are allowed (without any kind of checking! 😱) to drive in on the roads of National Park. 🫣
Once the ticket is issued at the counter, role of SGNP authorities ends! There is no patrolling inside the Park, on the roads. Only at the check points you can see forest guards sitting there.
An Appeal:
A sincere appeal to everyone visiting SGNP. Please understand that SGNP is not a garden or a nana nani park. This 100 SqKms of area where you are entering is a protected area of Mumbai, and is a Residence for wild animals. So please follow the Jungle rules and enjoy the Beauty of nature and facilities which are offered by authorities.
Thanks! 👍

Sanjay Gandhi National park is the biggest National park located within the crowded city of Mumbai. This park conserves flaura and fauna of this city. The environment inside the park is very refreshing and chilled when compared to the city. I believe people should take time and visit this beautiful place once a while out of their busy schedules.

I visited Sanjay Gandhi National Park in the rainy season as well as in the winter season and both times the experience was unique and amazing. When I visited in the rainy season the view was amazing and the water accumulation at all the places just increased the beauty of the place. In the winter season when I visited it was good as well with less water but great weather for cycling. The day was sunny but not that hot a good combination of vitamin D and fresh oxygen. Both times I rented a cycle from nearby local vendors, you can get the cycle inside the parks as well but to avoid rush we booked a cycle on an hourly rental basis and went ahead. Both times when I visited the National Park we went to Kanheri Caves for which you have to pay an additional ticket of Rs. 25 for Indian Citizen and Rs. 300 for Foreign Resident. If you don't wish to rent a cycle you can also use public transport buses starting from the entry gate of the National Park to Kanheri Caves with fare of Rs. 13 only. It was a great experience overall and I can call it a fun and happening day.
PS. Cycle rent starts from Rs. 80 an hour till Rs. 150 an hour on the basis of quality of the cycle. If you book for the whole day you may get a discount. You just have to carry one original government ID card for the booking. And no need to worry there are multiple vendors outside National Park who provide cycles on rent.

Sooooo much to do once you are inside! There's a tiger safari, there' the beautiful lake, huge garden and picnic spot, there's the amazing walk from the gate to the Kanheri Caves and then there are the Kanheri Caves themselves. The Caves are a treat to the eyes. How could such magnificent structures be carved out of rock 2500 years ago! Simply marvelous. There's hardly anything like Sanjay Gandhi National Park right in the midst of India's busiest metro. Highly recommended for a family outing and for picnic with friends. Especially monsoon....this jungle comes to life in monsoon. There's a river and several small rivulets that flow here. Of course, we need more washrooms and water stations in the park now. And better restaurants. The authorities must take notice.

Very Nice place for walking,Nature friendly ,for cycling 🚲 etc....
There are many trekking options inside the Natuonal park but every trekking is is paid [The Amount will be different for different in trekking places] Katherine caves inside the park.
Nestled within the lush forests of Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali East, Mumbai, Kanheri Caves is a remarkable site featuring ancient temples and Buddhist shrines. Carved into a massive basalt outcrop, this group of 109 caves showcases intricate sculptures, relief carvings, paintings, and inscriptions dating back to as early as the 1st century BCE.
Well maintained and clean the kanheri caves are a great place to visit. The carvings are amazing especially considering their age. Quite a hike to visit all the caves but worth it. The map could be a little more detailed though, it's a bit of an exploration.

Lovely place to visit. Can do cycling by paying little rent or track 7 km from the main gate to the caves. Lovely track to goin the jungle. You can be lucky to see deer moving in the jungle. There is also bus and van service from gate to caves. Cave opens at 9 am. There is entry fees for national park...Rs.75 and also at caves.. Rs. 25 as on May 22.
Great picnic spot for kids. There is also a canteen near the caves. You can also get fruits and fruit salad served by local people.

Carved architecture spanned over 10centuries can be see ❤️
Closing time for entry for caves is 5pm.
Last bus comes from caves is 6:30pm.
It’s all worth.
Nice wind, nice views.. good fruits and refreshing drinks can be found at the bottom of the caves entry.
It’s a bit a hike up so people with knees or back issues might find it tough.
Overall good place to visit for a day out with family or friends.

Don't go during peak summer season, it gets very hot. But overall experience is really fun and is a good Trek if you are into climbing on rocks.
Recommendation: Go for the yellow line Trek it has the best caves to visit

I did enjoy here . You can come with your family and nature lovers. Mansoon season is best to come here because you can see stream and can bath. You can see alot of monkeys here and there. You can see ample number of caves which is very old and their architecture is marvelous. I suggest everyone once .

It’s a beautiful place. An ancient place for a Buddhist monk temple. More than 100 small caves are there.
One important thing you have to remember when you want to visit this place that is lots of monkeys. They are attached if you have any shopping bags or even water bottles.

Lovely caves. It will take you to old medieval times. The cave 3 is really great. Moreover the caves are really well maintained by ASI. Its a must visit if you are in Mumbai. But beware of the monkeys.

Sanjay Gandhi National Park is good. Better go during monsoon. Safari is just ok only through bus. Caves are good, almost 100 caves. View from top is just awesome.filled with history and serenity. Exploring the intricate carvings and Buddhist relics was a unique experience. If you're a history enthusiast or seeking tranquility amidst the bustling city, this place is a must-visit

Had being on a Sunday morning. The park opens for general public at 8.00am prior to that only the morning joggers who have the membership are allowed.Due to covid, boating, safari as well as toy train was closed. There are Best buses plying to the kanheri caves as well as couple of Omni vans. One can take rented bicycles outside the park as well as inside as private vehicles are not allowed and the parking charges are ₹200/-(not at all recommended to hike the entire stretch as it will tire you unless and until you are a professional)there is an entry fee for the caves.as well as charges for photography. Toilet is clean however the sole cafeteria at the caves should be totally avoided as we had misal pav which was bland and not at all tasty. The entire caves area is well maintained and there are security personnel who are quite helpful and are stationed at every caves entrance. One can easily access each and every cave and the view from the top is scenric.Vist the place in the early half.Highly recommended and PLEASE DON'T LITTER and write on the walls.

Beautiful caves far from the noise of the city, you cannot miss this if you visit the national park, especially in monsoon. You get a panoramic view of the city from the top. There's a BEST bus service for pick and drop from the entrance of the park.

Best place to visit in Mumbai if you are interested in Buddhism and like to have a little trekking. From the gate to the cave entrance bus service is available for a very little price. If you want to really know about the place I suggest you take a guide. Have a little trek, meditate, feed the monkeys and enjoy nature in the middle of the busiest city of India.

Good historical place, natural beauty is awesome 👌
But crowded in weekends.
Waiting time for bus is at least 1 hr in each direction. No private vehicle allowed inside national park.

In the heart of the busiest city of the country Mumbai. This is a protected land for the Tribals who dwell here for centuries.
You will find people trekking and school/college goers cycling in the premises.
There are four ways you can the reach the caves from the main gate: cycling, trekking/walking, bus service and reserved shuttle car for tourists.
The visit is worth it, with century old caves and scriptures with picturesque view will make your day!

Kanheri Caves is a hidden gem in nature's embrace! The ancient rock-cut caves are awe-inspiring, filled with history and serenity. Exploring the intricate carvings and Buddhist relics was a unique experience. If you're a history enthusiast or seeking tranquility amidst the bustling city, this place is a must-visit. However, be prepared for a bit of walking, but the breathtaking views make it all worthwhile. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great place to visit in heart of Mumbai. It's best to visit during rainy season, it's green all around.
Some areas may get slippery so wear good footwear and walk carefully. There are total 109 caves here, all are not accessible. Area is kept clean.

The historic caves are carved in black stones. The place is inside the National park. There is a bus facility from the National park entrance to here. The best time to visit will be August end and September. The summer will be very hectic to visit this place. The place is historical and a must visit place.

A group of caves built by Buddhists in between 1CE to 10CE. There are as many as 129 Caves (as per Wikipedia) but I saw numbering till 101 Caves.
Really beautiful and makes you ponder upon the lifestyle, needs and the ancient society that used to live here. There are many inscriptions here, mainly besides the City Hall which has a Stupa and along few other caves. Few caves may seem very small but there are metal grills which restrict access to water harvesting holes that are very deep.
The local guards / guides here say the City Hall (as per Wikipedia) is actually a Buddhist classroom where they learnt important aspects of life and gained skills.
The group of caves are spread wide apart and take at least 2 hrs in a hurry if you want to see all of them. Make sure you're good at cardio as there is a lot of climbing necessary. A few spots are littered with plates and plastic bottles and I request all to keep this ancient place as clean as possible.
Above all the caves, is a plateau which has a view point and the only place here where the phone has reception.
Make sure to carry water, you will get thirsty.

One of the best places to spend a day away from the city crowd and enjoy the archeological marvel created ages ago and which stood the test of time. A good view of the city and the distant sight of the Buddhist Pagoda can be seen from the top most point.

Nice place to explore buddh sculptures. Avoid on sunny hot days and during afternoon as it will be difficult to explore while sun shining out high. Monsoon wearing is best or some shady day
Carry a lot water and stamina to explore heights and a lot of stairs

These are caves from ancient times. Total 100+ caves. The arrangement and pathways are paved properly however do watch your steps. Overall good experience. Too crowded during monsoon and beware of monkeys. Weekends might be crowded. Early morning visit is best though I visited post 3 pm. Bus service is available inside national park which is easy mode of transport.

One of the famous Buddha caves in Borivali, Thane Maharashtra.
It was a great experience there.
We went by taxi to reach there. We have to purchase the tickets to enter the place. We will have to rent a cycle to reach the Buddha caves because it's too far from the entrance.
It's a great effort for a person to reach the caves, because of the roads with slops, bed roads etc. you will definitely get tired.
Reaching there is a great experience, how they have built caves in the earlier days in these stones, and the places they spent for meditation, the water sources etc

Carved into black stones, the historic caves reside within the National Park, accessible via a bus from the park entrance.
The optimal time to explore is late August through September, as summers can be quite demanding for a visit.
This historical site is a must-visit destination.

Kanheri Caves are a must visit for anyone in Mumbai. There are over a 100 caves and some of them are beautiful and well maintained. The security is very helpful and well informed. Do Not eat food in/ around the caves as it attracts hordes of monkeys. There are stalls outside that sell fresh lime water and fruits.
Dharavi, located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, is known as one of the largest slums in the world. Covering just over 2.39 square kilometers and housing a population of about 1 million people, it's a densely populated residential area. Despite its challenging conditions, Dharavi showcases the resilience and resourcefulness of its residents. While some may view guided tours as voyeuristic poverty tourism, others see them as an opportunity to gain insight into this inspiring community.

Went for a trek with my mom and a friend and it took us 8 hours to complete it up and down 😂 should have read the reviews saying it was a moderate level trek with various types of terrain and some if it difficult to cross without prior experience or general fitness. apart from the time, we really enjoyed it. it’s a wonderful trail with some amazing scenery and flora & fauna along every stretch of trail. i would definitely recommend going here with friends and i’ll say it can be done within 6 hours up and down if you’re young and have good endurance.

Place surrounded with greenery, waterfalls and lots of fresh air. This place is almost 50 kms from Mumbai. It’s 2815 ft above sea level popular for trekking and rock climbing destinations. It’s one of the tough treks according to me. I know people consider its medium level trek but as per my experience, it’s kinda difficult. There is Shivlinga on the top of this place and some hidden, beautiful forts. It’s a beautiful place but not suggested for the people like me who are not good with trekking.

A great trek to attempt in Sahyadri. Loved the whole experience. Situated near asangaon , it is a medium level trek which requires good stamina and strength. Doable in a day this does test your endurance.
You can go upto asangaon in train and hire an auto to the base of the fort. It takes 30 min from the station. OR you can also take your own vehicle and park it at the base. There is good parking space available.
You can hire a guide for 500-700₹ if need be. It takes 2 hrs to hike up and 1.5 hrs to hike down if you keep the decent pace.
Carry ample drinking water as you do not have any source of drinking water or even a tapri along the way.
The views along the trek and even up at the top are great. You get a complete valley view which enchants you.
It takes at least 1.5 hrs to cover all the points at the fort. Also if you take the route via forest division you need to pay an entry fee of 30₹ per person. There is other route as well.
Overall a great trek. Highly recommended. Not suitable for beginners.

One of the best trekking places one can have an experience. This trekk has high endurance requirements so best advice is to have little fitness and good stamina before doing this trekk. The view from up top is a mesmerizing experience. The path way is narrow but worth exploring. Not advisable for beginners as it might feel a little difficult to climb. Take a considerable amount of food and water to cater your body because sometimes it might feel a little exhausting. Be hydrated throughout the trekk. Overall it's a good trekk with moderate difficulty. Advice to have a good trekk guide to accompany you because at one level you might need help to reach up top. The best time to visit is monsoon.
Have a great time. Stay safe. Happy trekking.

Mahuli Fort is good one-day Trek near Mumbai. One can start journey on the first local train to Kasara and get down at Asangaon railway station. Asangaon railway station is the nearest station from where you can reach base village either by local ST bus or by auto. Post monsoon is the favourable time to visit the Mahuli Fort. The trail will be filled with dense vegetation and it is not advisable to trek alone.

Plz search "mahuli fork parking" for exact location otherwise u will get lost like me on above location.
Trek is easy and took 2 hours to reach at the top,
During monsoon it is very beautiful trek otherwise go early morning as possible (6am) to avoid intense heat on top.
Must visit "maha darwaja" which is hardly 5min from top.
Well marked routes.

Metro Junction Mall is the only shopping mall in Kalyan when I visited there. It's on main road itself not difficult to find out. Ample amount of parking space is there for vehicles.I went there in car. Car parking charge was Rs. 50. Two wheeler parking is also available.
Mall is big, but not that posh mall. Cloth Brands like Marks and Spencer, Max, Zudio, Westside, Pantaloon, Lifestyle etc have shops there. Food court is also there where so many small eateries are open. Restaurants like Barbeque Nation, Mac Donald's etc are also open.
Beauty salon like 'Look well' is available in ground floor. Kids can have some fun rides and entertainment in the ground floor.
Movie theater is there in second floor.

I have visited the Kalyan Metro Mall many times since childhood and had a fantastic experience there, which compelled me to write this review. The mall is 2.5 km distance from Kalyan station and you can go there by bus or auto maximum of 20 to 30 Rs they will charge as a fare. The mall is a true gem in the heart of Kalyan, offering a delightful shopping and entertainment experience. First and foremost, the mall's architecture and design are impressive. The modern and spacious layout is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Navigating through the mall is a breeze, thanks to clear signage and a well-planned layout. The shopping options are diverse and cater to a wide range of tastes and budgets. Kalyan Metro Mall has everything from high-end fashion boutiques to affordable retail stores. It's a one-stop destination for clothing, electronics, home decor, and more. What sets this mall apart is its food court and dining options. The food court boasts a variety of cuisines, ensuring there's something for everyone but food cost is quite expensive. The cleanliness and quality of food are commendable. Entertainment options include a multiplex cinema showcasing the latest movies in comfortable seating. It's a perfect way to unwind after a shopping spree. On the weekend only you can enjoy it there else on weekdays you will get bored. Also for kids, this place is cool as there is a play section for them.

Well a perfect place to visit with anyone you want. I usually go with my friends to watch movie, eat and chill or play games. Game can be better and they can actually add few more interesting games for good gamers (like me 😝) coz most of the games are just waste. The bike on sucks, the car one too. Literally any game that you think will be interesting is trash and does not work properly. But yeah, if you live around kalyan, this is the best place where you can, eat, chill and enjoy. ✌

Elephanta Caves is a 7th-century cave temple located on an island near Mumbai. The city offers a plethora of tourist attractions, including Haji Ali Dargah, Girgaoum Chowpatty, and Siddhivinayak Temple. Visitors can find budget-friendly accommodations in the area.
It is a very nice place to spend your time with family. The sheer understanding of how the caves were carved out of a single piece of rocks baffles me. Also the boat ride to the caves was a sheer pleasure. You should try to go and n the after noon so that your return is planned in the evening. To view the sunset while on the roof of the boat in the evening is a scene to remember. It serene.

Carry cash for everything where u need to deal with cash. Gateway to Elephanta ferry 260 ₹ eash, only except cash, mini train 10 ₹ cash, Cave location pass 40 ₹ only cash. If the electricity goes down in Elephanta as happens today, the internet will go down, u can't use Gpay or use UPI there. So carry cash as u need.

Nice place for a day trip. We had wonderful time there.
Am hot long boat ride on the way to the caves seemed very slow.
Caves are good. Get a local guide along. He agreed for 1500. Have good information about caves. It's about information and thus you get to observe tiny things and enjoy the place.
There is a government restaurant near the main gate of caves campus. It's there, after you climb all the stairs. It serves good food. Also alcohol is served.
There is a toy train from jetty to market. Its not even 10 min walk distance, but take the toy train, especially if you have small kids or elderly along.

It's a beautiful place to visit.. Cave is located in an Island in the sea... One can visit by Ferry from Gateway of India. We enjoyed the ferry ride and toy train... Caves were built on stones... Shiv and Parvati sculptures...

Great temple to visit if you enjoy historical places. The statues are damaged by invaders in the past. Still it gives you the imagination of how beautiful it would have been in its prime. Beautiful cave temple carved out of the mountain. There are restaurants serving veg and non veg food. You need to climb about 💯+ steps before you reach the caves. Old people will find it tough. Shops selling brass and stone articles are also there. The toy train costs Rs18 from the port to the base of the steps to the temple. About 1 km. You will need to take a ferry from Gateway of India... cost about Rs 260. The ferry ride is the best part of a journey. It takes one hour of Ferry ride to the caves. You can see big ships and vessels anchoring in the sea lovely ride. It's about a 3 to 4 hour trip . Better to start from Gateway of India in the morning at 8 or 9 am .

Those who love crafts on stone then this is the place for you. You have to take a ferry to reach the island where caves are built. The ferry cost close to 300 rupees. The view of the Arabian sea is just awesome. My friends and I were amazed to see the beautiful ocean.

Beautiful journey to reach the caves. You reach Gateway of India, then catch the ferry. It would take 1 hr, would see seagulls, mesmerising view of Mumbai coastline, huge ships, boats, sea, islands. Just beautiful. Then taking toy train, then walking uphill. You may first want to eat after reaching the height, so remove travel exhaustion and relax, before you explore the caves. The first one is the only detailed one, others are simple caves, nothing much to say. It's more for the journey and scenic beauty.

The Elephanta Caves are awesome! They resemble a treasure hunt with several prehistoric caverns and statues. Finding hidden sculptures and exploring the dim passageways gives the impression of being on an actual journey. The enormous statues of the gods and goddesses are quite magnificent. It's amazing just getting there by boat. The Elephanta Caves are a must-see for all aspiring explorers!

Should be a must visit in your bucket list! An iconic place to visit in Mumbai, it’s grandeur is daunting and a treat to your eyes! We visited during monsoon and it was just the perfect time to visit I felt, with light showers now and then...I did a lot of research about this place before we went, but this becomes to be a more of a last minute plan due to monsoon and heavy showers. This ended up being my favourite day of our whole trip! The caves were amazing and the statue carvings were incredible! I would highly recommend using a tour guide as there are no explanations or information boards once you go in

Away from the city by half an hour boat ride(I got the ticket for ₹260/-).After I arrived I took another ticket for a short train ride to the main island. Here they sell rocks, antiques, souvenirs, clothes, foods and beverages.
You have to climb stairs to get up to the caves. There are a lot of monkeys so be sure to take care of your belongings. The caves are quite well maintained, the entrances have been recreated and some extras also have been done.Overall it was a nice journey, tiring but awesome.

Great place to visit if you enjoy historical places. The statues are damaged by invaders in past. Still it gives you the imagination of how beautiful it would have been in it's prime. Beautiful cave temple carved out of mountain..... There Re restaurants serving veg and none veg food. Need to climb about 100 + steps before you reach the caves. Old people will find it tough. Shops selling brass and stone articles also there. Toy train cost Rs18 from port to the base of steps to temple. About 1 km. ... You will need to take a ferry from Gateway of India... cost about Rs 250. Ferry ride is best part of journey. It takes one hour of Ferry ride to the caves. You can see big ships and vessels anchoring in the sea.... lovely ride. It's about 3 to 4 hours trip . Better to start from Gateway of India in the morning at 8 or 9 am .

Great historical places dedicated to Lord Shiva. The ferry ride took around an hour. Just beware of the monkeys as they are quick to take things

Elephanta caves a world heritage site is accessible by ferry from gate way of India. A 45 minutes boat ride and a 20 min walk and climb takes you to this world famous rock cut caves. It is advisable to take a guide to understand each carved statute and importance of them in the temple complex. Mostly dedicated to lord Shiva, the beauty and architecture can not be explained in a review but can only be appropriated in a personal visit.
Facilities do exist at this place.

Elephanta Caves are super cool! They're like a treasure hunt full of ancient caves and sculptures. Exploring the dark tunnels and finding secret carvings feels like being in a real-life adventure. Not worth the time we spend to see this place. It almost takes 3 hours (to and fro including steps ascent and descent) . The boat ride is painfully slow. No safety jackets are given. The stairs are slightly inclined upwards. Elders might find it difficult to climb.Once you climb stairs there is hardly anything to see. Literally I was done seeing all the caves in 30 minutes.
The pathway to stairs is covered completely by the local vendors and as an effect of hot humid climate it becomes unbearable to climb stairs.
The condition of carvings are in a ruined state. Monkey menace is normal as in any other tourist place. If you have small kids with you then it's better to skip this place and plan something else in Mumbai

UNESCO World Heritage site with elaborate monolithic rock cut caves situated on an island which takes an hour of ferry ride to reach from the Gateway of India pier.
Stunning.
Takes some walking and climbing some stairs.
People not willing to walk can avail palanquin service from the base level.
Very popular tourist spot in Mumbai.

Island is a small one. Takes about an hour or so to roam around on it.
All the fun is in the 1 hour boat ride from gateway of India and things you see during the ride. Take lots of biscuits to feed the seagulls on the way if traveling with kids!
Take cash with you for the ferry, per person return ticket around 300.
Mobiles have range, online payment is mostly accepted in the shops.

A Good weekend destination. There are many historical caves. Caves are well maintained. This place worth it going. This area has many shop's having wonderful handicrafts & jewellery made from crystals & semi precious stones. Perfect place for stone & crystal lovers. Overall, an nice weekend destination outside Mumbai.

Great place to visit. The caves are maintained well however the surrounding area is littered with plastic bottles is very much neglected. It’s surprising considering the amount they charge international tourists you’d think they’d make an effort to clean. This is the only thing that lets the whole place down. Nevertheless a great place to see if you’re in Mumbai for a few days.

The Elephanta caves includes 5 caves .Each cave is really beautiful to see. There r lot of monkeys on please be aware of that. Many Stone sculpture can be seen inside these caves.

You have to take a ferry ride from Gateway of India to elephanta caves. It costs around 260 per person for a two-way journey, and the tickets are sold near the ferry stations.
Once you reach the destination you will have the option of taking a mini-train (18rs /head) which takes you 500-600meters closer to the caves, or you can choose to walk the distance. Then there is a 20rs fees collected by the local authorities in addition to the 40rs collected once you actually reach the caves.
You have to then climb stairs for another 400+- meters to reach the main entrance.(paid carriages are available for elders).Paid toilets are available once you reach the entrance (10Rs) which are cleanly maintained. Food, snacks and refreshment options are available throughout the way to the Cave, Its better to carry cash for expenses since mobile payments mostly don't work due to bad signal.
The cave itself will take less than an hour to go around. Lot of sculptures are damaged and not much has been done to preserve the existing ones, you can see names been carved out of some statues.
So much craftsmanship in those sculptures, definitely worth a visit.
Weekends and holidays are way too crowded. Try to go on a weekday, early hours to enjoy the place peacefully. I think ferries are available from 8 - 8-30am.

A nice place, I loved the fairy boat traveling to the cave, try to return in the last fairy boat in the evening, so it would be great timing for sunset when you return, and also the night lighting of the city and cruse.
Caves are maintained, but takes different different charges step by step while you go inside. I don't know why they are not making a single charge including all...

The island is reached after an hour-long ferry voyage from Indias entrance The Gateway of India. The caverns are a 25–30 minute walk away. It is advised if you enjoy seeing historical sculptures. Beware of monkeys 🐒; if you are holding something edible, they will grab it. Two of them grabbed my daughter's ice cream and a packet of chips 😅.

It’s a fantastic picnic spot with a train to CST, bus to Gateway, boat to Elephanta Jetty, toy train and a trek. It’s a family picnic spot. Would recommend to travel in the morning and take the first boat at 9 am. The afternoon heat doesn’t dampen your travel excitement and festive mood.
they have a small number of tickets, they should make it into one ticket from start to end and maybe have a higher prices charge ticket for food and cold water.
Kihim Beach is a serene and unspoiled sandy beach located in Maharashtra, near Chaul. It is known for its lush palm trees and rich butterfly and bird life. Visitors can explore the ancient temple, Buddhist caves, and the church in Chaul while enjoying a leisurely stroll from Kihim Beach. The area offers various accommodation options and restaurants serving delicious local cuisine.
The beach was quite nice. We visited in the evening so tides were on rising side, the water was slowly rising up. To get to the water had to cross the rocks which were about 100m from where the beach officially starts, and then going there it was pure scenic, the sunset was so mesmerizing as you can sit with your loved ones sipping that coconut water and slowly seeing the sun fade away at the far distant shoreline.

Lots of options and activities. The beach is relatively clean but can always get better. There is no public toilet or wash room area which is not good considering the amount of tourists coming for the activities. The shacks should be better maintained . This is one of the best beaches of Alibaug. Clean and commercial activities are next to nil so perfect to chill out with friends and family. Ample space for parking is available.
The beach is awesome & quite shallow so you can’t walk on towards the sea for quite a distance. Importantly there are catarman rides available and I really found people enjoying it. There are also ATV’s which you can try out. Strongly recommend to get wet here and enjoy the small waves and the sea.

Beaches are one of the most popular vacation destinations for people all over the world. They offer a variety of activities such as swimming, sunbathing, surfing, and beach volleyball. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the feeling of the sand between your toes can be very relaxing and therapeutic.
The quality of a beach can vary depending on factors such as cleanliness, water quality, and the availability of amenities such as restrooms and showers. Some beaches are more crowded than others, which can affect the overall experience.

Usually requiring a boat, this time we could stroll in. Overall, a delightful day at Alibaug Beach – I'll certainly be back.
Louisa Point in Matheran is a popular destination for hikers and photographers who seek panoramic views of ancient forts and scenic vistas. The spot offers two viewpoints - one showcasing the sky-touching mountain beauty, while the other presents breathtaking views of the civilians in the valley. Visitors can use binoculars to witness gorgeous landscapes including Gourelloa mountain, lakes, and waterfalls visible in all directions.
Probably the most beautiful point of matheran... sunset view was amazing... this point is located at an hour walk from the main town, so plan your tour accordingly !!

After trekking from sunrise point to Louisa point, Here you can rest, Louisa Point is one of the most famous viewpoints in Matheran. It offers two different views from the top - one view is of the sky touching the mountain and a panoramic view of the valley below. The other view is of the picturesque Charlotte Lake looking like a diamond necklace

Louisa Point is almost 1.5 km away from the marketplace and will take around 20 minutes to reach here on foot. If it's a clear sunny day, this place will offer you breathtaking views that will compel you to settle down here for a moment.
This is a unique point in Matheran as it offers two different picturesque views. From one point, you can see the sky touching the mountains and a civilisation located far in a valley. If you visit during monsoon, you'll also be captivated by waterfalls.
Another view is of Lake Charlotte that looks like a diamond necklace when seen from here. Louisa Point also offers a clear view of Prabal Fort. All these different views are intriguing and one can spend hours gazing at them. We sat there, soaked in the beauty of the place and relishing moments of silence.
This place is known as a photographer's paradise in Matheran because it offers panoramic views of mountains, peaks, valleys, lake and waterfalls. In most of the travel portals, blogs and magazines, Matheran has been represented by using Louisa Point's pictures.
During the peak season, photo points are a little crowded and sometimes you need to be patient for your view to be ‘people free’, but all your waiting time is worth those beautiful, dreamy and wallpaper pictures. Some people also stay at Louisa Point to watch the sunset.

Louisa Point, Matheran – Nature's Balcony
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Louisa Point in Matheran, and it's an enchanting spot that I would rate at four stars. Here's why:
1. Stunning Panoramas:The view from Louisa Point is nothing short of stunning. You can see vast stretches of lush green forests, deep valleys, and the Sahyadri mountain range. The panoramas are captivating, especially during sunrise and sunset.
2. Nature's Beauty:If you're a nature enthusiast, you'll appreciate the biodiversity here. The place is surrounded by dense forests, and you might spot various bird species and other wildlife.
3. Hiking Opportunities:Louisa Point is a great starting point for several hiking trails in Matheran. Whether you're an experienced trekker or a casual walker, you can find a trail that suits your level.
However, I'm withholding that fifth star due to the lack of proper amenities and signage. It can be a bit challenging to find your way around, and there aren't many facilities nearby.
In conclusion, Louisa Point is a nature lover's paradise. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with incredible views, this spot in Matheran should be on your list. Just be prepared for a bit of adventure in finding your way around.

The hills, lake and waterfalls add charm to beautify it more. Watching the sunrise and sunset with your loved ones would prove to be the most soothing experiences of your life. Adventure activities like horse riding, hiking and camping make it more exciting.

Serenic view from louisa point. To avoid any confrontation from Monkey don't carry anything.

This point is located very far from main market.
It says 20 mins walk, but actually is 40 mins walk.
Road is very dense in forest, so try and go in groups.
However the view is amazing. There is a telescope guy there , who shows nearby points in 50rs.
But worth it.

This point offers the most breathtaking view among all the adjacent ones. You can truly experience serenity here and spend the entire day sitting and enjoying the beauty of nature. Some areas lack fences, so please be cautious.

Literally you can view each mountain peak from this point
The wind breeze
The birds chirping
The wonderful greenery
Just lit🌻🌻

The bestest point offering a panaromic view of the hill station and the neighbouring points. When you enter matheran first cover this point along with Malang pt as later you might not want to walk so much and and then you can walk down to the lake. This will save your energy and time & will help you cover more points. Don't miss it.

Good place👌👌👌. Good for the photography .
It's offer two point for the one for the sky touching mountain beauty and other one for the civilians in the valley.
Lots of cenic beauty Available here.
Such a nice place, u must try at least once.
It's the best point to visit on the hill station of Matheran. It is 2Km from main market but it is worth it to visit. It is also less crowded than other points. You can see Morbe dam from here.

Good view from Louisa Point. You get to see the echo point on one side, the water fall from the Charlote lake, full view of the lake in the valley and the other side of the mountain.
Just be aware the walk from the Market place is about 25min one way, so be prepared for at least an hr of walk. The half of the walk way is Rocky which slows you down else the distance is not much.

Charlotte Lake is a serene body of water situated in Matheran. This tranquil reservoir offers visitors the chance to explore wooded nature trails and enjoy picnic spots, as well as marvel at its small dam with beautiful waterfalls. Despite lacking proper restrooms for women, Charlotte Lake remains a peaceful place to visit, with crystal clear water and scenic views that are best enjoyed during monsoon and winter seasons.
Charlotte lake in Matheran looks stunning during monsoon. Enjoy being very close to nature and away from hustle bustle of the city. Carry raincoats must as you won't be able to hold umbrella due to speedy wind and your umbrella will get damaged.

Very Peaceful and Wonderful Place. The only negative fact is that it does not have proper restrooms for ladies. The restroom that are there have a poor structure and the other ones are locked.

This lake rests amid the rich green circle of forest which make up for an amazing view. They're a treat for your eyes and also your heart. The area is quite calm and is highly recommended if you are looking for some peace of mind and it is one of best Matheran tourist places.
Spending time here in this quietude, away from the hustle and bustle of the city is going to be very healthy. On the right side, you will have Pisarnath Mandir. Charlotte Lake is a known picnic spot and holds a top position in best Matheran places to visit. You can also enjoy bird watching here with your family and friends. The best time to visit is in monsoons.

It is a very peaceful and quiet place during the week but gets quite crowded on weekends like the rest of Matheran. It is a fairly easy walk of almost 2km from the market area.

Awesome place to spend the evening. Spending the evening is blissful. There is a lord Shiva temple and that is one of the best. The water, the greenery and sunset is out of the world. Must visit place. Returning back to market is a challenge as there are dust, horse and darkness.

Peaceful place with small lake, small temple and adjucent Lords point in the vicinity.
The place is with nice hill view and small water lake. There are also some cafe and small restaurants serving Maggi, vada pav, tea, coffee, sugar cane juice etc.

Charlotte Lake is a beautiful lake in matheran. Water of Lake flows very slowly. Breeze creates ripples on water which is very soothing to eyes. On one side of the lake you can sit near the lake & dip your legs in the ice cold water of the lake. The lake is far from the market area so it takes 30 minutes to reach there. On the way to Charlotte lake, you will see a bungalow with a lot of black & white idols inside it & a lot of vintage looking furniture spread inside the compound of the bungalow.

I'll never travel to Pune without this trip planner again
Large amusement park with rides, water slides, restaurants & an indoor park with artificial snow.
One of the best amusement parks you can ever have in India.
The visit was totally worth the money and we enjoyed it a lot. We almost enjoyed all the rides multiple times apart from a few .
We bought ticket in advance and you should do it to if possible.
Also during the evening towards the park closure there is some sort of festival 🎎 demonstration which you must see.
I have been to many of the rides in other countries as well but some of the unique rides which are here you will not find anywhere mostly. For example Mr India was one of my all time favourite and there was another in house roller coaster 🎢 if I remember name correctly it was deep space.
Also one must not forget the water park 🏞️. I believe there was a separate ticket for it but we enjoyed the whole day there and it was worth the visit.
Makani Jatin — Google review
Great place to visit with family or friends. Kids and adults both can enjoy. If you book tickets online you save some money according to the ongoing offers. Better to book tickets and parking beforehand. I won't suggest to book food as you will be limited to one restaurant only. But no matter how hard you try you can't finish all the rides in 1 visit. Better to enter as soon as possible to make the most of it.

The overall experience was good here. The place is good for one day trip with our friends and family.
Pros:
Good Rides
Good Attractions
Awesome sightseeing
Photographically place.
Clean and tidy atmosphere
Cons:
The ticking counter is pathetic. Even if you buy online tickets you need to be in a queue for hard ticket. Please upgrade to QR technology to avoid this hustle.
Food is hell(unlimited meal). It was been charged for 400RS, but the taste was hell. Not even you can have one round of food.
Management should take a note for this as this leads to Huge food wastage.

My first reaction wow 🤩. Ticket counter is over crowded as i went on summer time, we went there on weekdays so we got a chance to cover all the rides. But there is long queue to attempt each ride.

One of the best in India. It’s a combination of a theme park, water park and a snow park. The rides here are amazing and each ride has something different to offer. My personal favourite is Nitro and deep space. Also scream machine is one of my favourites. Even the indoor rides are very innovative with back stories and plots. There buffet is great too, offers both veg and non veg cuisine. Food is reasonably priced and the quality is good too.
There’s something for everyone here.

It's a fun place to be! There are so many activities both under water and snow theme parks that one day seems less to cover all.... Kids youths and someone who loves adventure will surely have a blast!
A little over priced also with food vouchers and other schemes that they offer are time bound. The restaurants were open even after functional hours but coupon code vouchers were not applicable which people like me/us were not aware of .... Bathrooms could be cleaned and kept dry if staffs take care of it... Rest all good :)

Over expensive.
Over crowded.
There's atleast 15-20 minutes wait for every single ride.
Then there's always some school / class picnic and kids and school staff block all the rides. Entire school picnic is divided among all rides so you have waiting everywhere.
School picnic should only be allowed 1 ride at a time.
Waste of money because of the waiting time. Opens late at 10:30 so by that time the sun is above you and heat is unbearable.
Then there's always 2 rides closed for maintenance.
Snow park is good. But the gear they give you smells so BAD. Unclean sweaty shoes of other people. Bring your own please.
Food is too expensive. A glass of Pepsi is 90 rupees. Small Water bottle is 50 rupees. Bring your own bottle and fill cold water.
You'll only do 1-2 rides max because of waiting and heat in afternoon.

Bhimashankar is steeped in Indian mythology, with a captivating legend that tells of its demonic origins. According to the tale, Bhimashankar, the son of Kumbhakarana (Ravana's brother), sought vengeance against Lord Vishnu for defeating his father. To achieve his goal, he fervently prayed to Lord Brahma.

It was a pleasant experience and nicely managed space.
The staff at the pass counter was courteous and provided the required information.
The other staff for the physical rides were very nice and had patience.
We were the last to leave as our car got some issues, while it was way past 9pm (closing time) the security guards were sweet to let us sit in the lobby.
Rides were good and best part about the place was the horses and the dogs.
There were two major drawbacks....
1) All the dogs in the room type cages was bit upsetting. One would get excited so the other dogs too would get very excited.
I don't know why couldn't they just let the dogs have an open big space.
2) most rides were free but the best fun one's were chargeable. I mean the tickets are not cheap but then even the charges for the other rides are also costly.
Hence a 3 star.
Overall, I enjoyed with the group I went with, but didn't leave with the feeling that I should come back.

The trip was super amazing all the rides is worth trying, specially flying fox, and swoop swing, paint ball, ATV and Buggy rides all were good, small activities such as - Archery, rifle shooting, crossbow shooting, net cricket and many more.. what we didn't like was staff behaviour and attitude very out spoken and rude when you ask their name they will not share they say their name Marshall, we faced this twice once in cricket net the guy was rude and second was at ATV ride the guy was rude they are locals from near by village so they feel they are in huge numbers and do and say anything. Completely managed by these people only so customer service we rank zero.. park and rides 💯% must try.. overall giving 4 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ because for staff behaviour and rudeness manner less people but for experience 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐..

Great combination place if you looking for a luxury relaxation place and also looking to experience some adventure. The place is available for a 1 day and stay option. I personally liked the adventure activities a lot. The place is a bit on the expensive side but it is a luxury resort so the price kind of is justified. It’s a beautiful place if you want to celebrate a special occasion with your loved ones and super family friendly with something for everyone to do from kids to elders.

Della adventure park is a TATA owned property.
This place is situated at 12km distance from lonavla. Easy to reach location through google map.
After visiting lonavla/khandala you can try this place. The ticket price is very high. Book before a day and you get 30% off. Special offer for womens, 50% off on sunday, book before 1 day.
There are two tickets.. Day pass & Jumbo pass.
If you want to enjoy every ride & full adventure then jumbo pass is for you. For others day pass.
With day pass you get 50 excitements. Many rides/activities are actually good like Archery, shooting, cricket, air hockey, snooker, ps4, boxing, bowling, horse riding, dog walk n many more.
This place provides food options which are very very costly. Single person food for Rs. 850. Samosa for 350. Water bottles for 110.
And you cannot bring outside food. Big turnoff.
On weekends you have to wait in que for all rides. Weekdays are better to visit.
All the rides/activitied are unlimited unless someone is not waiting..
Please bring your shoes as its required for many rides and they charge Rs.200 for it on rent. Only parking is free.
It takes whole day to complete all activities so plan accordingly.
Ots a good place to enjoy with friends and family.
There is a chalkboard on first right turn from entrance, dont forget to fill it.

I visited this adventure park with my office colleagues as one day team outing. We were taken the day pass which costs 1500 per person with 50 activities included in it.
There are more than 20 in door activities included in those 50 so it really disappointed us. Also on weekends the crowd is more and for every activity there is a long waiting queue so it really takes your patience away. As part of this day pass they should give the two or more paid activities so that it will benefit their publicity. In my opinion they have kept so many activities in a small area so the people sits more in the waiting queue.
The food rates are also high but the food quality is not very good with less varieties in one of the restaurant where we had the lunch. The infrastructure they have set up is very attractive. The small children wil love the place.
Overall I would rate the place as 3.8 out of 5 stars.

One of the biggest park with incredible and adventurous rides. Paint Ball was fun (clean clothes were provided) Zipline was good (try the longest route)

I celebrated my birthday here and you guys it was the best day ever. The hospitality is so amazing and the people are friendly. The number of activities one can do are countless. Large adventure park with lot of activities. You will be tired doing all the activities. Food is quite expensive. Good for a day trip outing with friends and family. Lot of activities for kids and for all ages. They have longest zip line in India. But only caveat is you have to hike lots of steps to reach to the top of the base.

Nice place. Day out for family. A bit expensive but worth the time spent. Stay options available. Good service. Cooperative staff. Good food. Definitely recommended for family and kids
Amar Phadol — Google review
Visiting here with your adventurous friends is definitely a good idea till you're getting a good discount on their jumbo pass so you can actually enjoy all the thrilling activities.
Day pass will just allow you to do the light activities and if you want to do any other activities they'll be paid as a day pass holder which is definitely not worth.
Note- wait time for all the activities takes from 5 min to 2 hours as mentioned on their invoice when you'll receive and about which you cannot do anything at all so I recommend to plan the day properly to do all the activities you need to do.
Also food and beverages are pricy and complementary water bottles are only given in the summer so don't keep any expectations of that in any other season.

The place is amazing and fun packed for adventure loving beginners. Everything was safe, well organised and properly managed as far I interacted with.
Do go to this place on Weekdays and not on weekends, as it will packed with lot of people and large queue on every ride. Also I would recommend going with 2000Rs ticket as that has enough rides one would need to enjoy the day and you won’t be able to cover everything in the same day. So think wisely :)

To have thrill and adventure this is recommended place. They have 50 plus activities including, zip line 10 seconds and 35 seconds, rope activities, in door video games, archery, gun shooting, pottery, carrom, chess, dart board, ATV/ mud bike, trampoline bungy jumping for kids, rocket shooting and bungy jumping of 850 m for adults, rappling, cow milking, pony ride, horse ride, electric bicycle, bicycle, dog ride, rope cycling, paint ball, etc etc
There are different categories of passes you can choose one depending on your choice of activities, but basic is day pass which cover many activities and over and above if you want to so some activity you can pay and do it.
Its fun for kids and adults as well.

Do Not Buy tickets or stay here during events, its a complete disaster, very mismanaged, wrong rooms allocation, no chaira to sit on a new year 4 hour event, the rooms have started stinking of STP gas and are very old now. New garden villas are just large spacious concretes with no bathtub or jacuzzi. Food is super expensive, they charged for juices during the new year event which costed almost 10k for couple.

Sunset & night-sky viewing is popular at this lookout point with panoramic mountain views.
Lion and Tiger points are the same, one entrance is 🦁 and the other 🐯, 😁😁😁
Worth the visit anytime of the year, rainy season will be the best, of course.
It's not only about lush green views, the ride into nature, winding roads and windy hills gives joy anytime of the year.

It is really a very beautiful place, in the rainy season it gets even more beautiful view. Everyone should go here once.
The view from the lions point is awesome. There is a camel ride available for kids.
During monsoon you just get to see and experience the clouds and you will not be able to see anything from top. Those views are good for winter season only. During some it's too hot to go there.
They charge 50 rs for 4Wheeler parking but the no maintenance... It becomes difficult to drive on uneven surface as many rocks are there.
Place remains too crowded during monsoon.
Both points are very close tiger point and lions point and you don't need to park your vehicle separately.

You will find one of the best and amazing sunset views here. Worth visiting here.
The view of mountains from this point is really awesome. It has a huge parking area. It's a paid parking, but you can also find free parking spots but they are limited.
This place has guided metal structures near the cliff. You can enjoy the breeze and take amazing photos there.
Near the entrance to Lion's Point, there are often local vendors selling snacks, refreshments, and souvenirs. You can shops around to have some nice tea and coffee or Maggie. It is a must visit place to enjoy the view.

It's good to visit with family or friends a tip make sure you don't wear anything light as there's lots of wind gushing you may see paper plates flying and if your luck is bad it may have left over ketchup and your clothes could get dirty. Pleasant to go when there's slight rain showers you could have an amazing view to see with cool breeze and yes hot tea with dew drops falling over you.

Great to go with family and friends. Beware of Monkeys and Cows, they roam randomly and monkeys might be hectic. Try Corn Pakodas absolutely tasty but it is a little costly. Watch the mountains down and the lake on the left. Really Great Experience.

At a distance of 12 km from Lonavala Railway Station, Lion's Point is a vantage point located midway between Bhushi Dam and Aamby Valley in Lonavala. It is one of the popular viewpoints in Lonavala and also among the must include places.
The view from Lions Point is majestic and panoramic. One would see dozens of small waterfalls, lush green hills, and lakes around during monsoon season. The sunrise and sunset views from here are mesmerizing. The wind is extremely strong at this place and it was quite thrilling to see many adventurous people get close to the edge to get 'that' living-on-the-edge photograph. The drive to the point is also equally scenic

Upon reaching Lions Point, I was captivated by the vast expanse of natural beauty that unfolded before my eyes. The scenic landscapes, dotted with lush greenery, were a treat for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike. The view from the edge of the cliff was truly awe-inspiring, allowing me to appreciate the majestic beauty of the Western Ghats.
The spot is well-maintained, with paved pathways and safety rails to ensure a comfortable and secure visit. It’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes, as there are some steep inclines to navigate. There are also seating areas where visitors can relax and soak in the stunning vistas.

I recently visited lions point and the experience was worth sharing. What made my visit to Lion's Point even more remarkable was the presence of curious monkeys. These playful creatures added an element of charm and liveliness to the experience. Observing them interact with each other and their surroundings was a delightful and heartwarming sight. Just a friendly reminder, though: while they can be entertaining, it's important to be respectful of their space and not feed them. Timing is everything at Lion's Point. Whether you're an early riser chasing the golden hues of sunrise or a twilight enthusiast savoring the warm embrace of sunset, this viewpoint caters to all. I was fortunate to witness the sun's gentle embrace as it bathed the landscape in a warm, ethereal glow, creating an ambiance that felt almost surreal.

Lion point is almost 15KM from Lonavala. If you go early on the morning, it will be less crowded. Sun set will also be amazing here. In January, the place is not that green but it is still beautiful.
The view of mountains from this point is really awesome. It has a huge parking area. It was mentioned that it is paid parking. It has guided metal structures near the cliff. You can enjoy the breeze and take amazing photos there.
You have shops around to have some nice coffee or Maggie. It is a must visit place to enjoy the view.

We visited during the weekdays when there was less crowd. One of the vendors helped me to park my vehicle in front of his shop and asked me to get sited before I could order something which was pretty normal as I was aware of this. We ordered Corn Pakoda which was served hot with tomato sauce. We had pakoda while enjoying the sunset.

4. **Photography:** The viewpoint is a favorite among photographers due to the stunning landscapes, especially during sunrise and sunset.

It's advisable to check local conditions and accessibility before planning a visit, especially during the monsoon when weather conditions can affect travel. Additionally, the viewpoint may have undergone changes or improvements after my last knowledge update in January 2022.

Beware of the monkeys, although they are not insane, but do not tease them, and yes, take the children carefully on the stairs there. It's Ashtavinayak temple. It's Buddhist Cave. If you calm your mind you will get good singnal from this place. I was getting strong vibration here. The climbing is hard as steps height is little bigger. You will find monkeys snatching only water bottles, so be careful. We could get into 4 caves only due to lack of time. You have to be careful as stones are slippery. Have tracking shoes.its challenging. You can hire Palki for Rs.1000/- per person if one cannot club. But you still have to walk after sometime.

The caves where great and felt close to the historical trails though the stairs to reach there takes your breath away . One thing that disheartened me was that the caves where not maintained that well . Reason - lots pf plastic waste , bat feeces all over the place which disgusted me the most . Note - Rs 25 ticket has to be collected before climbing the entrance and for the children under 14 its free pf cost ..... Stay away from monkeys and try not to take any food item or small object openly upstairs . The monkeys are insane and should be kept away from children and are reportedly known to have attached small children , one such incident happened with my small cousin.
Overall the place is great and the view from the top is fabulous . Enjoy your journey ahead .

गणपती बाप्पा मोरया 🙏
Lenyadri Ganpati Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It is one of the eight Ashtavinayak Temples in Maharashtra. The temple is also known as Girijatmaj temple. It gets its name from the words Girija (Parvathi) and Atmaj (son), thus the son of Parvati. This is the only Ashtavinayak temple which is on a mountain.
The amidst a cluster of rock-cut Buddhist caves. It is one of the Ashtavinayak temples. Devotees believe that Lord Girijatmaj was Lord Ganesh’s manifestation as an infant Lord. Rather, it is carved on a rock, with its head turned to the left.
According to Ganesh Puran, this place is also known as Jirnapur or Lekhan Parbat. Moreover, Devotees believe that the Pandavas carved the caves during their exile period. Lenyadri Ganpati temple is south-facing and monolithic – carved out from a single rock.
Since the Lenyadri Ganpati is rock-cut, devotees cannot circumambulate. However, they are free to worship the Lord themselves.
Furthermore, the main mandap is 53 feet long and interestingly there are no pillars supporting the entire structure.
The main mandap also known as the sabha mandap has 18 indents or small rooms that pilgrims use for meditation.
Once there, a serene atmosphere, with pleasant vibrations from the Lekhan mountain and a beautiful view of the nearby Kukadi river is a treat for the senses.
The history of Lenyadri Ganapati temple relates to the following Legend:
Legend of Girijatmaj: According to Ganesh Puran, Goddess Sati reincarnated as Parvati and wished to give birth to Ganesh. She did severe penance on the Lenyadri mountain. On the fourth day of Bhadrapad Shuddh or Chaturthi day, Goddess Parvati wiped her body and used the dirt to create an idol.
Lord Gajanan entered this idol and stood before her a young boy with six arms and three eyes. His name was Girijatmaj or the son of Parvati. This incarnation of Lord Ganesh – Lord Girijatmaj is believed to have stayed at Lenyadri for nearly 15 years.

To reach the caves, we have to climb around 350 stone steps, which are quite steep, but overall, it is doable and easy if you are fit. The caves are beautiful and peaceful, where I sat and observed the stone carvings.
The Ganesh temple, which is one of the Ashtavinayak temples, is in one of the Lenyadri Caves and is a very tranquil place to sit and meditate.
Beware of the monkeys. They are everywhere around the caves. If you have flowers, prasad, or any other eatables with you in your hand, they attack and grab them.
Bring a backpack or an opaque bag with you so you can put those items in there. Don't take a transparent bag at all.
Also, some stone steps are very slippery, and I saw many people slipping and falling, hence, do wear comfortable shoes and don't hurry while going down the steps.
Take time to absorb the gorgeous views that you get from the top after reaching the caves and do not throw trash around.
Drinking water taps are available on the way of the stairs.

My visit to Pawna Lake near Lonavala, Maharashtra, was truly captivating. Surrounded by the majestic Sahyadri mountain ranges, the lake offered a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The picturesque views were nothing short of breathtaking, making it an ideal destination for anyone seeking tranquility. However, it's worth noting that the lake has gained popularity over the years, leading to a noticeable influx of tourists during peak seasons. Despite the crowds, the natural beauty of Pawna Lake remained undeniably mesmerizing, leaving a lasting impression on me as a nature enthusiast.
Roads could have been better
Cafes are much expensive.
Overall My experience at Pawna Lake was nothing short of exceptional, primarily due to its pristine waters that exuded purity. Unlike many other lakes that often show signs of pollution or debris, Pawna stood out with its crystal-clear waters that reflected the surrounding natural beauty flawlessly. This purity not only added to the aesthetic appeal but also emitted a positive vibe and feeling. There's an innate sense of calmness and rejuvenation that one feels when surrounded by such untouched beauty. The absence of dirt or pollutants heightened the overall experience, allowing visitors like me to immerse ourselves fully in the serenity of the surroundings.

If you are not able to visit the main Shirdi Baba temple then this is a go to place in Shirgaon. It is built as a ditto copy of the Shirdi temple and hence called as Prati Shirdi Sai temple. There is no entry fee and ample paid private parking space outside. One can easily spend 1-2 hours here.

Visited by a lot of devotees, pilgrims and tourists, all through the year, all the temple aartis and poojas are scheduled and held at the same time as the ones in Shirdi. Enshrined by a beautiful idol of Sri Sai Baba, even the idol is also the same as the one in Shirdi. there is a gorgeous garden in the premises of the temple where shri ganesh idol stands with beautification. There is also a magnificent dining hall that is called Anna Chattralay where the pilgrims and visitors are served Anna Prasad and dinne.. outside the temple, there r numerous street shops of many things ..

Very peaceful place to visit. Very clean and properly mentained.
This place has big parking space which was almost empty when I visited during the weekday.
The Mahaprasad has time of 12-3PM and 6-9PM. You would need to buy tickets at the food counter before entering prasadalay.
There is shoe keeping stalls for shoes which is charged ₹10 per family.
Near to temple, there is kids activities area which has few rides like train ride, circular bike, etc where kids enjoy their time.

This is good place for tourists to visit. Peaceful environment is here. You can click some picture at outside the temple. But cameras and mobile phones are strictly restricted inside the temple. Follow rules. If you want to carry it then don't click picture inside the temple because then you'll be get eligible to pay fine some money. The views inside the temple is mind blowing. Outside views are also best. Peaceful environment is maintained inside the temple.

Additionally, there are food facilities 12:00PM to 3:00 PM in the afternoon and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and where you can purchase a 50 rupee per head coupon to dine in a beautifully designed, royal-like dining room.🍛🍜🍚🍱

I heard about this temple from some of my local friends, so I was curious about this temple.
On one of my weekend, on the way to ma na pa to swargate we saw a side road towards temple, so we decided to visit the temple, on the spot.
The temple is very nice. There are two temples one is Lord Ganesha, with another is of Lord Shiva, looks one of the oldest temple.
Both the temples are well maintained, but the complex from outside is not maintained. The river just beside the temple is very clean shops of modak are there.
And they provide free storage space for your luggage there and shoe storage space is also provided by the temple.
The area in front of the temple is on the main road so it is rarely crowded but always crowded on weekends.

Surreal, very calming environment. We went in the morning and reached around 9 am. The surroundings were very good. We were amazed by the beauty of nature.
Due to clouds it was difficult to see some things. Also you have to be careful while walking as things are not clearly visible due to clouds.
Recommend to read history before visiting the fort, so you can feel the importance of the place when you are walking there.
I don't recommend visiting on Sunday because there will be huge traffic jams as most of the people park their vehicles on the road side. Even when we visited on Saturday, when we left around 2 in the afternoon we were stuck around 1 hr.
Another suggestion is you can trek route, I did not go that route, so not sure about the difficulty. Next time definitely I am definitely going to trek to Sinhagad Fort.

The most famous fort for its historic significance as well as the easy travel there in the city of Pune. It’s visited on the daily by a lot of people as a part of their exercise. Sadly the whole fort is now covered with vendors selling food and chips and what not. There is no management for litter here which is disappointing.
The climb is fairly easy but there is easy access till the top by cars or local drivers who take you there. You have to climb the stairs and walk a little to roam around after that.

Great experience....
The trip is one of the best for me..
Complete foggy surroundings with rains in between, Just make it perfect for trek....
I visited it on Monday...
Moderate public with good light.
Drive carefully through the ghat and walk carefully during the trek..
Take a snap of the map at the beginning for a better experience, though there are proper guiding hordings in the way....
Just make sure you leave the place early so that you reach down early before night.
Try to start trek as early as possible.
Food is available sufficiently. Parking is no issue.
Take some cash with you as sometimes the network doesn't work properly.

One of the best forts in Maharashtra"
We can go up to the entrance by our own vehicle or else by local cabs.
Or else you can trek for 4 hours to get the best views and sceneries 🤗
And then from entry it will be around 2hrs trek or else to roam the entire place..

A great experience for any trekking/hiking enthusiast, the trek is not very hard, and can be moderately difficult for beginners. I started early and got to see the sunrise with beautiful scenery, and will advise others to do the same. The air is fresh and there are small vendors selling refreshments at every short distance. One should definitely visit once to gain the experience.

Excellent place to visit on weekday early morning especially in rainy season. You get lush green view of the Sinhgad fort vally. You can take your vehicle right at the top if you don't want to hike. For 2 wheeler they charge ₹50 for parking. Avoid visiting in weekends. It gets crowded. You get good food at the top.

First trek in my life. I went with a group of 35-40 people so I had amazing company overall and a lot of experts to guide me because I was a complete noob. Such a serene experience going up, we were guided by a bunch of cute little puppies until the way to the top. I'd recommend a good pair of trekking shoes with good friction and support so that you won't slip there. Be careful while climbing because there were definitely some weak spots throughout. Good rural Maharashtrian breakfast up top, amazing experience overall.

I've had the pleasure of visiting this remarkable destination three times, each during a different weather season, and the monsoon visit was truly exceptional. If you're searching for the perfect weekend getaway, look no further. The trek is a pleasant blend of easy and moderate, taking around an hour to complete. But if you prefer a thrilling bike ride, the road leading to the peak is absolutely amazing.
The beauty of this place transcends the seasons, but there's something magical about the monsoon. The lush greenery and refreshing rain create a captivating atmosphere. The trek offers breathtaking views, and the bike ride to the peak is an adventure in itself. Trust me, this destination will steal your heart and provide a rejuvenating escape, whether you're embracing the monsoon or embarking on a thrilling bike expedition. Don't miss out on this perfect spot for an unforgettable weekend getaway.

Trek was fun and there were many rest stops along the way. The fort itself was very beautiful. One thing was that if you stopped walking people would come up to you and ask to come to their stalls for eating. The food was also good up there. There is also a jeep service which you can take.
10/10 would recommend.

Nice place to plan an adventure day.. Two options are available to reach the fort. First by trekking and second by the road. At the fort, you can do a lot of sightseeing. For foodies, great local options are available. The only concern points are.. If you visit by own 4 wheeler, you might be facing a parking problem on a crowded day. And the second is.. Housekeeping in the area can be improved. If you are planning a trip for the first time, better plan a whole day. Really you can spend a complete day over there and still you will feel there is so much to do.

A really beautiful fort located above the hills, you can either trek or go by a vehicle, parking space is available at the top. Makes you wonder how capable our ancestors were to build such a place on top of a hill. Great view from there. Please exercise before you go.

Nice early morning drive from Pune city to Sinhagad :D it is scenic and very cold!! Once the sunrises, the temperature is normal :) the views before sunrise are hazy. It’s not extremely beautiful but still a good getaway to see some greenery and the horizon. Lots of snacks and tea and tiffin available everywhere

1. Better not to go in summer. Always try to visit in monsoon. Carry water, wear hat and go in the early morning 🌄 if you are going in summer days.
2. You've bike and car parking at the top of the hill. Sometimes it's difficult to find the parking. Still you've lot to trek even though you're parking vehicle at the top of the hill as it's very large landscape.
3. You'll find food shops at the top of hills.
4. Paid washrooms 🚻 are available but it's very dirty. I think it's not being maintained properly.
5. You'll find temples, samadhi, nice scenery, good trail for trekking.
6. Ticket required at the entrance of singarh forest area.

Just be careful of weekends as it gets too much crowded and there are many network issues on fort so be prepared for that 🫡!

The fort features palace ruins, caves, and water cisterns that offer visitors a glimpse into the region's past. Despite being one of the toughest forts to climb in Maharashtra, trekkers can enjoy an easy to moderate level trek by walking through the small town at the base of Rajgad.

Rajgad is a popular trekking destination located in the Sahyadri mountain range of Maharashtra, India. The trek to Rajgad is considered to be one of the most challenging and rewarding treks in the region. The trek offers stunning views of the surrounding valleys and hills, and the fort at the top is a testament to the rich history of the region.
The trek starts from the base village of Gunjavane and takes around 3-4 hours to reach the top. The trail is well-marked and passes through dense forests, rocky terrain, and steep inclines. Along the way, trekkers can enjoy the scenic beauty of the region and take breaks at various viewpoints.
At the top of Rajgad, trekkers can explore the fort and its various structures, including temples, palaces, and water tanks. The fort also offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
Overall, the Rajgad trek is a challenging but rewarding experience for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. The trek offers a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Maharashtra and provides an opportunity to connect with nature.

Two routes from gunjavane village
1. Chor darwaja - well trodden path
2. Gunjavane darwaja - less used but has nice jungle. Should be used for ascent. A bit slippery for descent but doable with the help of railings
One route from Pali which goes to Pali darwaja - easiest of all
Some other routes that I did not take are
1. from village Male
2. There is a road going to village bhutonde which intersects the rajgad torna trek route. You can park here and go to Rajgad by Alu darwaja or further fo to Kalehswari buruj circling the balekilla
Latest update - no food is served on top now except buttrmilk cucmber and lemon juice
Carry your own food
No nightstay allowed anymore

Massive fortress. Must visit. Brilliant camping experience. Adventurous trek.Rajgad, the first capital of Swarajya, this place is blessed with the pure feet of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his family. This place has many entries and exits but Pali darwaja from the village Pali and chor darwaja from village gunjawane are the most commonly used in modern times. The easiest route is from the Pali village. This fort has 3 machis padmavati, sanjeevani and suvela. Padmavati machi has a lake, a temple and samadhi of maharani sai bai, the wife of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort has ruins of buildings and monuments all over and is one of the favorite forts to do camping uphill. Suvela machi is located towards the eastern side of the fort and sanjeevani is located towards the west of fort. Both the machis are 2.5kms long and are very beautiful and are an architectural marvel. Sanjeevani machi also has a aloo darwaja located which is used to do range trek to torna. Balekilla has a very thrilling way up (also beware of monkeys) and a view worth every stair. Balekilla has 2 buruj and few ruined buildings, the rajwada and sadar is located on the balekilla. water options are available up. Food can be ordered through locals who stay at the foothills or can be cooked by own.(Only veg food allowed) Many organizations have been working for conservation of the fort and this has resulted positively that many things have started to improve and are maintained properly. A proper 2day and 1 night stay camp will be more than enough to explore this fort entirely.

Superb place for trekking, few stretches were challenging. You have to climb over the rocks, it's easier as they have placed support handles. To reach the top it would take 2-3 hrs from the base. Wear good shoes. Views from the top of this fort is mesmerising. You need an entire day to see all the places in this fort. This fort will be in it's best during monsoon or post monsoon. Entry ticket for this fort is five rupees per person.

The fort is a very good place to visit with family. This is one of the biggest forts in Maharashtra and it is 70-80km away from Pune. There are two forts on the fort, one is Rajgad and the other is called Bali Killa. You need to take some precautions if you are planning for Bali Killa if you are with small children. You should avoid Bali Killa if you do not know about it.
The sunrise and sunset are awesome there. Highly recommended for everyone.

All the forts in Maharashtra are incredible. Rajgad is one of the toughest to climb. Regular trekkers will not feel much fatigue but the one who will go for first ep shapely gave the challenge. It's nearby Pune City. You can reach by 2/4 wheeler here, in the small town situated at the base of Rajgad you must park your vehicle and stay trekking. It's a great fort. I had the privilege of visiting Rajgadh Fort during the monsoon season, and it was a truly enchanting experience. The combination of history and nature in the rainy season makes this fort a hidden gem.
The weather during my visit was rainy, but it added a unique charm to the fort. The fort's surroundings were covered in lush greenery, and the ancient stone structures seemed to come alive in the mist and rain. The waterfalls cascading down the hills nearby were a sight to behold.
Despite the rain, the accessibility to the fort was manageable, but I would recommend wearing sturdy footwear and carrying rain gear. The fort's historical significance became even more evident in the monsoon, with the rain-washed walls and the smell of wet earth.
I also had the opportunity to participate in a guided tour, which provided fascinating insights into the fort's history and architecture. It's a perfect way to make the most of your visit.
If you plan to visit Rajgadh Fort during the rainy season, remember to embrace the weather, take your time exploring, and capture the mesmerizing views. It's an experience that will stay with you for a long time.

This is a beautiful medium difficult Trek) hiking (more precise) place near Pune. It takes 2 and half hours for leisure up and 1 and half hours and return. Few places have steep up, railings are there for support. Not suitable for kids, old aged, Cardiac patients, and pets. Better to start the trek early in the morning and to carry a water bottle. On weekends, a lot of people will be there as a company and few small vendors with water, and refreshments at regular intervals are available. I enjoyed it, and it was worth hiking.

Rajgad fort is among the most historically significant forts in Maharashtra, it was the first capital of the Maratha empire under Chhatrapati shivaji.
The fort is located about 60km south west from pune city.
As usual morning is the best option for the trek, the trekking starts from a small villege named Gunjavane, you should walk around 4.5-5km (one side) to reach the fort entrance. Better carry enough water and stuff.
At the top, fort is divided into many parts like Padmavati machi, Suvela Machi, Sanjeevani machi etc and the top most part called Balekilla.
It was a great and wholesome experiance for us trekking this beauty.
Things to be Noted.
- Better get there (Gunjavane) by your own vehicle since there is only one direct bus to Gunjavane from Pune, Swargate depot. Its leaves from pune at around 9.30 -10 Am
- If you want to go by bus from pune, either get the direct bus or Go to Katraj (5km approx from pune) then get Bus number 296 to Margasani. From Margasani you should travel 6km to reach Gunjavane (where trek starts). You’ll get rikshaw for ₹300-₹400 per trip.
-The last bus to return from Margasani to katraj is at 8.00PM.
- Entry fee is ₹5
- There wont be cellular range at Gunjavane, better carry Liquid cash for food and other essentials.
