Great place with tons of awesome slides, pools and spray areas. All kids of all ages love it here and everyone is happy all day. Attentive life guards. The only thing that really threw us for a loop was a self serve buffet bar for burger toppings. Not covid friendly in the least. So we ordered fries and chicken strips and left it at that!
Ania Kruger — Google review
Great experience. This is the first time in my life that I took any water ride and that too very high scale ride. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My kid just loved it.
Ashish Jain — Google review
We took our three kids here last summer and they had a great time. We only saw them when they were hungry. We rented two deck loungers and that is now a thing we need to do every time we go back. We were shaded, we were comfortable, and we were happy to stay as long as the kids were having fun.
Jennifer Bee — Google review
Very crowded and only at half capacity. Lots of rides and slides. All ages can have fun here. Many onsite eateries. Parking lot is well organized and safe. Online tickets.

Cultus Lake Waterpark is a fantastic place for families with kids, as my recent visit with my 6 and 11-year-olds proved. The park offers a wide array of water slides and attractions that kept my kids entertained for hours. From thrilling slides to the lazy river, there was something for everyone.
The only downside we experienced was the park's policy against bringing in our own BBQ. While we understand the need for safety and cleanliness, it would have been nice to have the option to cook our own food, especially for families with dietary restrictions or picky eaters. However, the park does have a variety of food options available for purchase, including snacks, drinks, and meals.
Overall, our experience at Cultus Lake Waterpark was fantastic. The kids had a blast, and we appreciated the park's commitment to safety and cleanliness. We would definitely recommend it to other families looking for a fun day out.
Pradip Ghimire — Google review
Really nice park and tons of attractions but absolutely not worth the price when attending with very young kids. There should be a lesser rate for toddlers and their parents.
Additionally, I was somewhat put off by the number of people wearing pants and long sleeve shirts on the slides and in all the pools. There just seemed to be more dirt, grass and floating debris in the pools, which I couldn’t help but think might be due to all of the fully clothed people, but I could be wrong.
Overall, I’ve had better experiences here in past years but maybe it was just an off day, the park has been kept up well with lots of new additions. Worth attending if you are okay with paying an arm and a leg.
Amber Pahlke — Google review
Administration doesn’t care about its little visitors. My little daughter went off this slide and scraped her leg. Look where the child has to went off on this slide! A hard (like sandpaper) and uneven surface awaits the child below. Be careful!
?????? ?????? — Google review
My daughter likes this waterpark. We had a great day here.
Easy parking. Quick check in (We arrived 10.10 in the morning). $10 parking and $10 umbrella rent is acceptable. Great grass for rest with fresh air and great view. Grab&Go food is good.
Make sure you get everything you need before you leave your car. No return allowed.
One problem is it’s really overcrowded. We went there on Thursday. It’s beyond its capacity so that every slide has a very long line, especially in the afternoon.
Wei Sun — Google review
This park started in 1984. The facilities are in reasonable shape considering its age. There are slides/play areas tailored for each age/risk-tolerant group from toddler to seniors. Staffs are friendly and attentive to guests' safety. Bring your slippers with you when hitting the bathroom, which might be the one of the few weakness of the entire park. Hot tubes' sanitary might be the next. Park get crowded by 11am on a weekday in August, so can't imagine the busyness over weekends. Each ride's queue takes around 15 minutes. Scan the park to find the shortest line might save your some time. Portable tent is a must-have for hot days and for better privacy. Rental umbrella easily knocked down by wind. Cargo cart is prevailing in the park and essential if you carry lots of stuff with you, but the park thoughtfully offers a loading zone right in front of the entrance.
Ethan Lu — Google review
I have not been in this place for almost a decade! Went on a sunny day after a few days of camping. My family and friends and their kids had a blast here! The cabana we rented out is perfect for our big group. Love their tots are; great for my 14mos old, even for my almost 4yo kid as the water is warmer and very shallow. I should say that most of the rides are still there, from what i remember. The cabanas and shaded picnic tables are a big addition to this place. We will do one more trip before summer ends.
Pamela Esprit — Google review
The water park overall is very entertaining and has many attractions, however, even on weekdays the waiting time per each slide is around 30 minutes, there are also no large swimming pools for leisure swin.
Liza — Google review
Cultus Lake Waterpark is a splash hit for all ages! We went to the Waterpark on a Wednesday morning; it was overcast with light rain at the start and it was fantastic!
We arrived at 9:30 - about 30 min before it opened - and there were about 7 or 8 groups already in line. The queue area is covered and protects you from the rain or sun depending on the weather. The checkin process was quick with the longest being the bag and food check.
If you arrive early you can get a free covered picnic table to set your things out for the day. As the weather was crummy and we were there early there was no issue getting a spot.
The kids were able to have the run of the place for the first hour plus as it wasn’t too busy due to the weather and it being mid-week. There is a very wide selection of water slides to choose from, in size, twistiness, soakability, and scare factor; but regardless of which one you choose it is sure to be fun! The kid’s favourites were the Valley of Fear, Black Hole, and the Bazooka bowl! The slides are starting to show their age with some wear but it doesn’t detract from the fun.
The food is expensive and the quality is pretty meh. The best deal is obviously the ice cream with the portions being massive. You are probably fine getting a single as none of the kids could finish the double scoop they got.
Parking is $10 and you pay when you leave.
Overall Cultus Lake Waterpark is a great time, especially if you go on a rainy Wednesday! Otherwise I would definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance!!
Clayton C. — Google review
Ridiculously poor. See photos.
Used diapers and trash in the parking lot should have served as a warning.
We arrived late and paid for reduced tickets at 1630. In the 2.5h we had, we managed 4 rides due to appalling queues and overcrowding.
We recognized this as soon as we were in the park and due to the long lines and horrifically long lines we immediately asked for a refund but we're declined because the staff onsite lack any authority to give one.
I first visited this place on the late 80s and had fond memories and was excited to bring me kids here. It looks like it's been left to rot since this time with flaky paint, stained slidesz rust, litter and more.
I'm fortunate enough to have visited many water parks in different countries inc. Austria, Spain and UAE. THIS WAS RHE WORST BY FAR.
Avoid it.
Greg Bullock — Google review
It's a damn good time....BUT....I kinda thought buying the tickets online would mean they limit entrance....nope...its frigging packed expect to wait 30 minutes at minimum for tube rides and 15 for body slides. One was over 45 min, and an hour by time you actually get out of the slide.
Lazy river was completely packed, same as pirate ship, kids pool/slides, you're tripping over people all day period.
The rules could use an update at canyon tube. 2 adults and 3 kids(450lbs maybe) can't go in a tube, but 4 250lbs adults can go just fine even though weight limit is 800lbs....don't make sense to me, rules are rules after all.
Overall it's fun, but do not expect to go anywhere fast.

A beautiful 88 feet Twin waterfall located in the Mt Baker National Forest area which featured in the movie Deer Hunter . It can be accessed by driving a primitive road .
There is a short trail that leads down to an overlook . The overlook is well fenced . There is a lot of parking space available .

Super pretty stop! Wish you could get down to the bottom of the falls but still pretty to see. Can't say I even minded the graffiti under the bridge :)
Valerie Jardon — Google review
We visited the Falls in August 2022, while exploring the Mt. Baker Scenic Byway. It is impressive. There is a short, easy trail to the falls viewing spot. The gravel road leading to the parking area is in decent shape for any vehicle. Highly recommended.
David Lobree — Google review
No hiking required. This is more of a overlook. Does need drive on a gravel road.
KS Nair — Google review
This place is wonderful (even on a very gloomy and rainy day). The falls offer magnificent views and the roaring white water makes the day. The drive to the falls is through dense green vegetation.
There is ample parking space but the lack of conveniences would be missed.
Hemant Saini — Google review
Awesome falls, we went today to this falls, with the recent rain there is heavy flow in the river as well as in the falls, lot of gust from the falls. No rest rooms in the falls area, parking is limited but not much crowd as well. You can have top view of the falls, you can also go near the river which is under the bridge.
Porkaipandian Gopalakrishnan — Google review
Easy walk to the falls Viewpoint. No restrooms though in this place.
Sowmya — Google review
The falls are dramatic and a short drive off the main road. You follow a gravel, one lane road, for a short distance to a parking area. We visited mid-week and only saw a couple other people.
The signage to the falls is a bit before the turn, but the turn itself does not mention the falls (Wells Ck Rd).
Warning signs describe the danger of getting too close to the falls, and has a list some of those who have perished. It is a scary drop off on the other side of the fence.
Wayne O — Google review
Nice little falls, easy access for viewing, but it is dangerous outside of the designated areas. The gravel road to the falls is narrow, but has some pullouts. There is also a parking lot big enough for about a dozen cars (more if people park well).
Teresja Nelson — Google review
Beautiful fall and river. There is overlook area which does not require a lot of hike. My parent 65+ could easily walk up to the viewing area. There is fence on the side of the fall for protection, however the river side is easily accessible.
Overall nice place.
Mt. Baker Ski Area is an extensive winter sports destination that boasts a diverse selection of trails suitable for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The resort offers various services such as rentals, lessons, and restaurants to cater to visitors' needs. For beginners seeking instruction, the ski area provides excellent facilities, including a beginner chair lift and bunny slopes ideal for practicing new skills at a comfortable pace.
Went to Mt Baker in March 2022, my first visit to the states since the pandemic. Compared to Canadian mountains it was pretty quiet, despite being a beautiful bluebird day.
To be honest, I’m not much of a skier - this was my only day of the season, but what a day it was. Beautiful terrain, rugged mountains, good facilities (pictured lodge is very well done), decent food, live music on weekends in the day.
My only complaints -
1. Gear rentals close either 30 minutes or an hour before last lift. That’s really annoying and dissuaded me from renting a helmet as I wanted to maximize time on slopes.
2. I’m a bit acrophobic, but fine with secure heights. I was really surprised to see quite a few lifts without safety bars. I don’t always put the bar down, but given the height on some of those chairs it made me pretty uncomfortable.
OJ H — Google review
This has been one of the best ski experiences I have had in the state of WA. The slopes were reasonably rated (green, blue, black), the slopes were groomed and all the staff was friendly and helpful. Treated myself to a private lesson which was well worth the money and came out feel like a much better skier.
Also the food was pretty reasonable and extremely tasty!
Megan Derwich — Google review
Last of the season skiing for the teenagers. Of course this place has MANY photos of it. But here are ours. Snow was only plentiful at the lodge/ ski lift. This was mid February . Crazy there was such little snow.
Lee thats Me — Google review
I did my beginner's lesson there. The instructor was great and the bunny slope was good. They don't have the magic carpet, which is a bummer. But a great place to learn. The beginner chair lift is great, the slope is perfect for the beginner to test their skills and improve.
Sarabjot Singh — Google review
Great place to visit. Lot of absolute scenic views. Kids love sledding here. Only thing missing here in summer is some food joints or any activities. Only things you can do here are view the beautiful scenery or sledding (self arranged). Heard its great for hiking and skiing (in winters), but I don’t do those so cannot comment on those.
Navneet Harika — Google review
Such a beautiful ski resort. Although I am not a good skier but I truly enjoy the view and the support from the employees here.
We came here on 1/13 but it was closed due to some technical issues so we went snowshoeing instead and it was stunning! Highly recommend!
Tien Nguyen — Google review
Small ski resort close to the border. Great scenery, not much where to stay or eat. Mostly local people. When I went half was closed for what it seems lack of employees. Apparently they often have good snow conditions but when I went it was mostly icy
Matias Escobar — Google review
Came here early October for some Fall scenery and gorgeous Mt. Shuksan views-The Ski area, Picture Lake and Heather Meadows are wildly beautiful this time of year! Lots of trails for hiking and a very cool drive up to Artist's point for the best views of the area. It's a wonderful weekend day trip! There is nearby lodging on the by way up here and some campgrounds in the area (check ahead for closures) for longer trips. You will need to get a pass, or pay for day usage/pass at the Glacier rest area/ranger station machine near the map boards.
Jessie Falkenhagen — Google review
Such a nice view. A few people late afternoon on a weekend day. The restrooms are likely to be closed after 5pm, so be conscious of that. The roads to get up to the mountain are very accessible but be careful with the hills and curves.
Eleazer Sanchez Vidal — Google review
Great place to spend time ! Went for a snowshoeing in the mid of January , weather was nice , got in the parking lot around 9 , was still couple of spots. You can reserve overnight parking in advance.
Restrooms next to parking could be better ,
Recommendation: use 🚾 that is in the building of sky center;)
Daria Kolesnykova — Google review
Very good ski place I had a great time with skiing here with powder snow. People were friendly they had a hot pizza and hot cocoa before and after skiing. Just be reminded, you need to be on time because they close earlier than you think
Mayumi Ozaki Todd (尾崎真由美) — Google review
The vibe here makes it my happy place. It's got more soul than anywhere I've skied in the PNW. The Heather Meadows Lodge reminds me of midweek days at Whistler's Glacier Lodge in the 90s if it was run by hippies from Nelson/Whitewater. Wholesome veggie foods and fresh-baked buns, craft everything, lodge cats (!) lounging wherever, some dude playing... rando music (?) on a steel drum, tons of fresh snow and sun sparkles blowing by. Baker makes me feel it's completely possible to quit work, drop out, live in my car in the parking lot, magically ski everyday and feel like the luckiest person on earth.

Very nice mountain, really good for people who like ski and nature, the cabin their is fantastic, not so much people, very relaxing!!
Chan Billy — Google review
This is such a great destination on a summer day! The mountain views are stunning. The cafe offers healthy, delicious sandwiches (with gluten-free bread available!) and salads, and a wide array of beverages, including local craft beers. The restrooms are clean and spacious. They also have branded merchandise for sale, next to the cafe upstairs.
Denise — Google review
Top tier mountain with incredible conditions for intermediate and pro riders. If you ski or ride you know this is THE mountain but definitely worth adding that every person working on this resort is the nicest person ever!
Maxim P. — Google review
Not a whole lot of snow this year, but a gorgeous drive none the less. Some of the lifts were open and the weather was good. Will go back!
Ashley Berg — Google review
They are pretty awesome. If conditions aren’t great. They adjust there prices. Staffs usually really cool! Have had great experiences so far !
Dominico Cosma — Google review
Steep and deep, we got lucky the weekend we visited. Incredibly steep terrain, plenty of cliffs. Way more approachable when a couple feet of soft fresh snow is the landing pad.
The Harrison Hot Springs Public Pool is a sought-after destination for those seeking relaxation in natural hot springs. Situated in the Village of Harrison Hot Springs, this resort community offers several pools to visitors, including private ones exclusively for resort guests. The highlight is an indoor hot spring-fed public pool with a small fee that provides access to many amazing minerals. Michael Buble has also visited, making it even more popular.
Heard its amazing, unfortunately we missed it as it was closed due to Covid.
Firoz Ozman — Google review
I try to go twice a week and enjoy the mineral water very much.
Grateful the pool is open again, but Harrison Hot Springs Resort is unable to provide reliable staff(lifeguards)and therefore posted hours and days of business are not reliable. Neither is the pool website updated to reflect closures so there really is no way to establish whether or not the pool is open. Very disappointing if you drive a significant distance and it's closed.
Bruce Brown — Google review
If it wasn’t for the amazing pools this hotel wouldn’t survive. It’s floating on old charm but desperately needs an update. Everything is feeling a tad run down. Amenities are not up to standard. Cheap coffee pods in rooms, no tea bags, plastic glasses instead of glass, no microwave. And even with the pools they are piping in a radio oldie rock station over the speakers, so basically no thought into the ambient atmosphere. However, the trip back into the Harrison Time Machine works perfectly in their signature restaurant “ The Copper Kettle” which keeps the ballroom 80’s style fine dining restaurant intact with a lovely menu ( including escargot of course), great wait staff and a swing band on weekends. However, it is pretty cavernous, so for those wanting an intimate dinner setting, I would suggest trying up the street.
Claire Maxwell — Google review
It's an amazing place to relax and soak in the warm waters especially during the cold winter months. I found the change rooms, showers, and pool area to be extremely clean.
It was closed recently for 1.5 months so that they could renovate the pool and it really is looking nice now. I would give it 5 stars if the hours they were open the whole day every day like they used to be.
Before you go though make sure you call to ensure it is open as the hours can change day to day do to staffing troubles.
Michael — Google review
Went to the pool at opening time on a Friday middle of March. Obviously there has been a thorough renovation and cleaning done recently (see other reviews). The place opened on time, is a bit aged but was clean and pleasant . A local waiting with us at the door mentioned that opening times have stabilized recently as more lifeguards have been qualified. Change rooms and showers were pristine (this, of course might change during the day). The pool floor and siding seem to have no issues.
We very much enjoyed our dip in a reasonably empty pool. I liked the architecture reminiscent of a Japanese hot springs environment. Yes, a modern building might be oriented and built differently, but renovated and clean, we had no complaints.
A note to the uninitiated: the hot water is pumped into the pool at the steps. The pool gets gradually cooler towards the far side. The only way to know this is to see a red writing on the floor with an arrow saying "hot" at the steps but you might easily overlook it.
As we paid we were told that the ticket is good for re-entry later in the day if you keep the receipt to present it again.
Will definitely come back, if most likely not today.
Anya — Google review
Nice, warm. A bit dated but it’s a nice hot pool. It’s all inside which is a bit of a downside. The area has other pools but sadly they don’t allow access to the public even though water is public which I don’t get. But this one does the job if your trying go get your fix of hot spring access or want to visit as many as you can in life. Downside is towels are 4.50 each for rentals. Our fault for forgetting ours. But glad we got to go. outside area around it is very nice. Would recommended camping or family trip this way
Sharp Life — Google review
The pool and washrooms are filthy and so run down. We used to love going to the pool, but now it is a depressing place to go to. You can see paint pealing off the bottom of the pool. Paint chips on the pool deck. Urinals so stained from water they are disgusting. I dont think any maintenance as been done for years. It is a shame. It looks like the resort who runs the pool, puts as little into the property as possible, to force people to use their facilities. Harrison municipality should be embarrassed.
Nick Riviera — Google review
Just look at the benches outside the front door covered in dust with drug use in evidence when I tried to visit the place I remember as I once used to clean the pool in 1981.
Not only are the staff blind to this but also deaf to every question I asked the young fellow.
Every sentence I spoke had to be repeated providing factual evidence of substance abuse and short term memory loss associated with B.C. bud.
The main l8fe guard office in the lobby also was notable poor cleanliness with litter all over the floor.
Sad degeneration of the 2hole experience of Harrison when they can't even keep grass full and green on the largest fresh 2ater lake in Western Canada.Using such excuses of not being able to afford the chlorination of the 2ater supply system.
S I meones head needs to roll on this and I'm going to the top just to at least say or do something rather than hide my head in the sand or rocks in similarity to a slug.L8ke these so called men in north America are really just a bunch of cowards trying to be accepted by those in high places.
I'm here to stop this madness.

50/50 it all depends on what time you visit, during the day it can be noisy in a chaotic way, loud talking and excessive sounds. It’s not meant for the purpose in which it is intended. Evening has potential to be quiet and serene.
Teresa Tagic — Google review
Nothing has changed since my last visit 25 ish years ago. Price for adults were $16 so kinda pricy for single pool that was only around 36° it was warm enough but they added tons of chlorine which defeated the purpose of the said "mineral" bath. It sucks we don't have any decent hot springs in the lower mainland or Fraser Valley that are easily accessible.
Myung-Jin Kim — Google review
If you are looking for a small hot spring pool, this is a good one! The water quality in this public pool is very good. Also, its employees are very nice. We have been there a couple of times. We like it.
Kun Z — Google review
It was a great place like 10 years ago, but after covid its been really run down, the paint of the pool is peeling off, washrooms stink and looks so dirty. They dont seem to be cleaning the place at all. Its also very frustrating when on the wedsite they say they are open, but after a long ride (2 hour) they aren’t open. This is disappointing.
Vicky games — Google review
This pool is being run by the COMPETING hotel in the same town. Knowing that it would make sense that the pool is always closed since they want you to pay for the hotel instead.
Pool is great, sad
Franco Fung — Google review
Depressing place in a depressing building. This town setting is beautiful but all the buildings are ugly, rundown and dated. They should build a beautiful indoor outdoor spa pool (think scandanavian spa) in this town - people travel here to be ultimately let down when they see the public pool or the 2 star hotel. Instead of spending money on an info Centre fix up the towns namesake. There are already tourists so why not help local business succeed and make the town a stunning destination. Brew pub to attract people under the age of 70. At least paint the ugly brown pool building with a beautiful mural from local artists. Have some pride!
T PET — Google review
We planned on visiting during a weekend trip to Harrison in mid-August. Pool was closed. Closed when the town is the busiest. And there was no option to pay to visit the hotel pool anymore.
Ridiculous.
Alex Dickinson — Google review
It's not the same as it was long time ago where you can actually see the hot spring upclose and personal and the steam coming from it. Now it's surrounded by enclosed structure with an open window for the steam to get out. The glass is kind of blurry not just from the reflection on the glass but from the steam inside.
Paul Penafiel — Google review
Visited the pool today: absolutely depressing feeling, everything is run down, filthy change rooms, slimy showers, hairs on the floor.
The water in the pool is only slightly warm, not hot at all, there is no smell of minerals as it used to be - too much diluted? Therapeutic effect of such water is questionable.
Visiting is pricy for the family of four - costs around 47$, plus more if you want to rent lockers, etc...
This place needs a major renovation.
Miguel Rafael Penaranda Caceres — Google review
AVOID this place! 0 Stars!! Horrifyingly filthy!
When we arrived, the staff member said it was at capacity and had no timeline of when we may get in. Not helpful at all.
Once we eventually did get in, we found the place to be in an absolutely filthy condition. The ladies changing room made me feel physically unwell with the amount of hair on the floor and black grime everywhere. This place has not been cleaned in years!!
Felt so disgusted by the state of the changing rooms that could only bear 10 mins in the pool. Awful stale smell around the place too. It needs to be shut down or new management and a deep clean!! It really ruins the reputation of this otherwise cute little town.
Update* I complained to Fraser health about the cleanliness or lack there of. They told me a few people had complained and that they sent a rep to the facility to address issues so hopefully it has improved.
Laura R — Google review
I still rate it a 4 for because it’s fairly tidy, relaxing and uses allot less chemicals then normal hot tubs or pools. But….. Today was the second time I show up to the pool at around 4pm and they are closed. The hours on google chrome website says open till 8pm on Thursdays . What’s the deal admin???

Our family didn't have time for an overnight stay at the resort so we decided to do a day trip and soak in the public mineral pool. Yes, the building is dated and it was clean enough. Overall, it was very pleasant and actually quieter and calmer than the resort pool. We soaked in the morning, left for lunch, and went back for an afternoon soak. It was a great experience that we will definitely do again.
Charlotte & Ed V — Google review
First time after COVID, I managed to visit the public pool. The place was busy, I had to place myself on a wait list. The personnel were very friendly, they called me when there was a space. My usual routine is to soak for 20 minutes, followed by a cool off time watching a beautiful view of the lake and mountains through the big window, then soak again for 20 minutes. This gives enough treatment to your body.
Yulay Rakhmangulov — Google review
Been there Jan 13/24 no heat in the changing room it was freezing cold.watter 35c.no senior personal. ask couple times to increase the water temperature but no luck .after one hour one young guy manage to have the hot water a little bit more .the owner don't care about the pool .this is a total disrespect for the people who are using the public pool. I do recommend to call before and ask question about the conditions,if you are not satisfied leave a review.

Went there to enjoy the Sulphur Hot Springs Pool. It is such a nice Soothing Bathing Experience that I have no problem with Driving all the way from Burnaby to enjoy it.
Had not been there for over 5Yrs though and found that the Price was increased to $16.00. But the Water was definitely a little bit Warmer than it used to be.

Extremely disappointed experience. Made the long drive with my family from North Vancouver on a Monday morning, only to discover that the pool was closed. Apparently, someone didn't bother showing up to work, and the hours were changed without notice. Instead of opening at 10 am as advertised, it didn't open until 4 pm. Complete waste of time and extremely frustrating for my family.

Located an hour and 45 minute drive from Vancouver, the Othello Tunnels are a stunning hiking destination featuring railway tunnels carved through a granite mountain in the early 1900s. Though currently closed for renovations due to flood damage, this picturesque site is well worth the visit when it reopens. The surrounding drive offers beautiful scenery, including a stop in Chilliwack known for their locally produced honey.
We went here last fall season and there is not much people walking and there is a lot of parking space.
We also experience visiting this place in summer season and the parking lot is so full and need to wait to get a parking.
There is a washroom in the entrance of the trail.
Overall this trail park is good for kids and old people cause its flat.

The park is closed for 2022. We went anyway. Absolutely no work had been done so far to repair the damage caused by a flood. It's mostly going to stay closed for quite a while.
It's beautiful, it's grandiose and it's scary. Loved it.
Sebastien Caron — Google review
Hoping that these reopen soon. During the floods in November 2021 they were badly damaged and there hasn't been an update since. Normally they are closed during the winter season so it will soon be 2 years that they are "temporarily closed".
Originally rail tunnels, you can walk from the Othello parking lot into Hope. GPS does fail when you are looking for these tunnels so keep an eye on the signs, don't trust just GPS. They also get super busy so the earlier in the day that you can go, the better. Especially since they got "Instagram worthy" status so most people will only walk to the last tunnel then turn around but there are a few hikes past them, one has a historic marker that goes up and over the mountain.

By far one of the best places to see around Vancouver. It's an hour and 45 mins drive from our place but it's absolutely worth it. It's sad to see the destruction caused by the floods. I believe it's currently closed because it's getting some renovations done and it won't be opening any time soon but can't recommend it enough whenever it opens back up. One of the most beautiful places to see around Vancouver and the drive is great as well. You can stop by in Chilliwack on the way to pick up some honey, they are famous for it.

What a great place to get out and stretch my legs after getting off the island. Parking was a bit touch and go but I was able to get a sweet spot up front. The walk to the tunnels was pretty flat so most people should be able to do it. Just happened to be a beautiful day so the water looked this amazingly blue/green color. Walking over the bridges and checking out the water down below was breathtaking. Highly recommended for all ages and worth the visit. I will be back again on my next pass through..

Well maintained and beautiful nature surrounding along with the trail. I walked though all of the rocky tunnels. Some of them were dark, had to bring out the flashlight. Highly recommended to visit this cool feature.

Beautiful and busy hiking destination! The tunnels were fun to go through and the canyon and the river were very scenic. Hopefully it will reopen soon!

It was my first best experience. We went to tunnel from kettle valley side which is a long walk until you reach the tunnel but with mesmerizing views n forest walk. Once you reach the tunnel you will see the gates closed but all the people including us trespassed through gate and from that point best part start. It’s 4 tunnels in total with great view at the end n between the tunnels. Make sure to carry torch as tunnels are dark although flashlight will work too but torches will be best. They r open go visit before rain I was there on may 1, 2022

Very interesting place to explore on a weekend. Bring your kids and enjoy the walk in tunnels
You will see lots of scenic views.
It is about 30 minutes walk to get to end of 4 tunnels including photo shooting stops.
Tunnels are constructed in early 1900 for Pacific train. The last tunnel shows 1951 on concrete.
Pro tip is to get to the River and place your bare foot and relax.
Parking lot is not good at all and obviously not enough for the demand. Most probably you will end up to park your car on road side like everyone else. It should be about 6-7 minutes walk to the park gate

Beautiful, really worth a visit, very interesting. I haven’t seen signs telling facts about it though. Lots of people so I’m guessing peak hours on weekends are probably a bit chaotic since parking is quite limited. Went on a late Sunday afternoon and was fine. More shots & videos at @maluzizz.

Beautiful place to have a little walk through incredibly beautiful Rocky Tunnels. There is a gorgeous river running under the bridges that conform the tunnel. To be fair the pictures make no justice to what you will live there.
The only downside is that it is usually closed during rainy season, which in BC is all year.

Amazing views once you start walking through the tunnel. Walk is around a km, but its all worth the effort. The view of the Coquihalla canyon is extremely picturesque and breadth taking with blue waters. Some picnic tables also available.

I went to Fraser River Raft Expeditions with a group of ten girls this past weekend for a bachelorette trip and we had such a fantastic experience! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, reassuring, and so much fun! They really went above and beyond to make the weekend incredible. We did two runs down the Nahatlatch River. Lunch was served in between (sandwiches, watermelon and cookies, all very delicious). They even had a fun special life jacket for the bride!! We practiced flipping the boat in a lake and assisting each other back into the boat prior to the rafting. Some of us were a little hesitant about getting in the water at first but it was really good to practice should we have had to do that while we were going down the river, and definitely helped to calm our nerves. It was the perfect adventure full of laughs that we will certainly never forget! Thank you Josh, Will, Collin, Jonathon and Doug!

The guides here are awesome and very experienced. We did a team building event and everything from the service, personality and food were top notch. After rafting with these guys I wouldn't use another company because it was just such a good experience!
Update: We stayed in their accommodations which was an amazing experience. Sue is a great host and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend this service.
Unexpected discovery during our roadtrip to Osoyoos this year. We stopped to get some leg rest and found this interesting historical spot. Stop by and visit this place, read about historical events happened here in 1960s.
There is parking with EV charging stations, washrooms, and picknick tables with a killer view.

Great views, large parking lot for rv's to park and turn. Pit toilets, so take a spray bottle of soapy water and some paper towels if you are going to sit.

A nice piece of history that many forget is even there. There are bathrooms but seem a little under cared for, for instance there was feces all over the men's room as of the 27th of August 2021. The view is amazing. There are now charging stations for electric vehicles and room for large vehicles, motorhomes or trailers passing through and looking for an interesting rest stop.

It’s amazing looking at the mountain side and 60 years later still see the damage left behind. After a lifetime trees are finally growing in the area. But the mass of boulders strewn and piled for 3 kilometres is mind boggling. There’s 2 souls at eternal rest there as they were never found. 4 people total lost their lives that day. It shows the immense power of Mother Nature.
Jasmin Bujak — Google review
Being here just makes one feel how tiny we are in front of these natural elements. Its hard to imagine how it would have been to see tonnes of rock coming down that mountain. Scary 😨
The Hope Slide was a landslide that occurred on January 9, 1965 in the Nicolum Valley in the Cascade Mountains near Hope, British Columbia and killed four people. The volume of rock involved in the landslide has been estimated at 47 million cubic metres. It is the second largest recorded landslide in Canada.
Colin George Miranda — Google review
Amazing to think that 47 million cubic meters came crashing down displacing a lake over the mountain across from it . The site was 3 1/2 km , the rest area is nice , washrooms ok , 3 electrical car chargers free of charge air for tire checks.

Perfect weather when I visited. Incredible to see force of nature, unfortunate loss of lives. Quote solemn.

Nice place with good opportunities.
Picking areas.
You can play with water on a warm day.
You can walk or run.
Look at nature
We went here in fall time 2019 and I remember it was thanksgiving day and we had a big discount on the ticket like we pay $5 per person.
Then the cool part is we are inside the gondola while heading back to the main entrance we need to throw the pumpkin in the window in the ground.
It was nice weather to see the fall color of the tree..
There is a Ice cream store and souvenirs store too.
It was a good experience.

Surprisingly there was more to this just the tram ride! Of course the scenery is spectacular and the views everywhere are breathtaking! There's also some interesting history, some cool educational experiences and 3 great films to watch. There's a great candy shop, a restaurant with great soups and of course a fully stocked gift shop!
Staff were very friendly!
The suspension bridge can be intimidating! Was very windy on the bridge when we visited in June 2022.
It's worth checking out!

This is one great place and history sites to visit.
There are many information about the Simon Fraser River and the six Salmon species.
There is also a cinema where you can watch three historic films about the origin and details of those species.
Do not forget about the restaurant to do some lunch or enjoy one of the best soups I had ever eaten: Salmon Chowder. 🍜
There are plenty parking slot on the front.
Washrooms cleaned and available.
Our crew team are very nice and attentive, congratulations to everyone.
There is a store inside where you can buy many things and another ice cream shop and chocolate bars.
I really recommend this place.

They let us take our dog on the tram! That was an amazing surprise. What an incredible place. Friendly staff, good ice cream, water for puppy, a great bridge to see the river from (not recommended for pups - it's a grated bridge). Would do this again in a heartbeat.

What a great time we had here. The gondola ride down to the main viewing area was smooth and quick, and once down there was plenty to see and read about the rock slide and the area's history. The views are spectacular and walking the metal bridge across the canyon was a thrill - that not all could do!

Loved the experience at Hell’s Gate. Its a short but steep gondola ride to the other side of the river. Once you cross over, you can visit the gift shop, museum, experience gold panning , enjoy the fudge shop or you can simply sit and enjoy the view of the river and the canyon.
There are washrooms available. The staff is very courteous. It took us 2hrs to reach Hells Gate from Vancouver. We went on a sunday and it was not all that busy. It closes for the season in 1st week of October and will reopen in May.

Gorgeous place to visit on your way somewhere or even just as a day trip! Lots of interesting things to see although one of the museum's was closed the day we went. Could easily spend 4-5 hours there. Also, buy the fudge. All the fudge. I only purchased 3 flavours and can't justify the cost of the ticket to go get more!

My recent visit to Hell's Gate was truly an experience I won't soon forget, thanks in part to the use of the Airtram. Hell's Gate offers a unique combination of breathtaking natural beauty and adventurous activities, including this exciting cable car.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff who warmly welcomed me and provided me with all the necessary information. The airtram is a cable car that takes you on a spectacular ride over the park, offering unparalleled panoramic views of Hell's Gate's stunning landscapes. It was a fantastic way to gain a bird's-eye perspective and admire the vast plains, deep gorges, and towering rock formations from above.

It was amazing experience with breathtaking views. We went around 12 pm and booked in advance. It was not too busy. Tram is going down and up every 10 minutes. Nice history explanation and breath taking views of Fraser river. There is also suspension bridge to have nice pictures and enjoy. There are different viewpoint, little museum, a restaurant, a ice cream shop and a shop. Unfortunately, restaurant. Was closed due to water supply. We had ice-cream. You can enjoy with family and kids. Love this place😍😍😍

While the location is amazing, I want to give a shout out to the staff. Yesterday saw a power outage that shut down the attraction with us at the bottom of the tram. When it first went out, an employee actually dug into her purse and paid for my bottle of water. Says a lot of the character of employees they hire as I can’t see it being a lucrative job. As it became apparent it wasn’t to be a short outage, the team went into their action plan on lowering the stranded trams and ensuring customer comfort. I learned a fair bit about the safety and maintenance that goes on a daily basis there and left with full confidence on how this place is run. Shuttles were sent down to pick up customers to return them to the top and good thing as I’d probably die if I had to hike it.😅
The only disappointment was the power killing the opportunity to get shirts from the gift shop but that’s the price we pay for not carrying cash. So in short to all the staff there, you guys are amazing!!

Nice tram ride and view. More history here than I thought. We were lucky enough to be on the other side when an extremely long train came through and were able to watch it snake it’s way along the side of the cliff and water. Great information on salmon & the design and build of what we now use as a tourist attraction.

Resort for rafting, rock climbing & mountain biking, plus basic lodging in teepees & cabins.
The team at Kumsheen Rafting is second to none. Did a six hour power rafting work trip that had all the potential to be less than perfect. Weather was rainy, water freezing but none of that mattered.
We had an amazing time, more fun that anticipated. Taija and the safety crew were great, Bethany took incredible pictures and even our bus driver was an awesome guy. Would recommend rafting with
Kumsheen to anyone. The resort itself was picturesque with mountains, tee pee’. The Cutting Board restaurants stayed open for us as we arrived later than anticipated.
Food was good and breakfast is exactly what you need before a long day on the rapids.

Highly recommend their canvas tents for a very cute and comfortable stay! We enjoyed our cabin and our dinner as well. Hot tub was open for a nice wind down, and we were even walked to dinner by the resident cat. They've got an awesome set of swings in the cabin area that has awesome views of the canyon beyond. We hope to stay here longer than one night on our next trip through and get to raft as well!

We took the family here in 2020 during Covid, and we've booked another trip for Summer of 2023. The power rafting was extremely fun and well worth doing ... so long as you hold on tight, you'll love the experience. The facilities were also really good, although we didn't experience the restaurant which was closed at the time. Some family stayed in an old fashioned canvas cabin which are clean and nice. They also have nice bathroom facilities, fire pits and a good-sized pool. Lytton is still rebuilding from the fires and was a cute small town with beautiful surroundings - it's hot as heck in July and August.

What a wonderful experience! We weren’t exactly sure what we were in for, as we’re definitely out-of-towners, but we wanted a unique Canadian adventure! Kumsheen did not disappoint. A bit off the beaten path and a tad remote to get to, but so worth it, and a beautiful drive too!
Driving up to the lovely resort entrance and being welcomed by such a warm, friendly and professional crew was just the start. We started with a great lunch, then donned the appropriate attire: wetsuits provided by Kumsheen, and (sunscreen, bathing suits, sturdy water shoes) and set out on a short bus ride to a sandy beach a ways up the Thompson River. At the raft entry location we spent a bit of time learning about the what-ifs and how to be cautious and give reverence to the mighty water.
Elliott and his knowledgeable colleagues really go above and beyond to make you feel safe and that you’re in great hands! Quite literally, the guide has to understand and know things, that well…we just don’t know! That level of comfort is hard to achieve and it was a great reassurance for someone like me, a gal who likes to be in control at all times. Well done!
Riding those waves and feeling the unpredictable intensity of Mother Nature is a feeling like nothing else! I have to admit I was a little scared, but that too is something I don’t always experience, and so it was fun to live on the edge! We would definitely recommend this outfit and hope to be back sometime!

I would highly recommend both staying here and doing their rafting trip. We did the Legendary Thompson river and it was a blast. Either a family trip or just a friends getaway this is such a fun activity to do with friends and family. My friends and I had an amazing time rafting together on the Thompson River. Despite being a large group of 57 students, the whole rafting experience went smoothly. I had a great time rafting with our guide Kirtus and learning about little bits of history about the river. I loved both power rafting and paddle rafting - the weather and water were perfect during my stay. The food was decent considering that the campsite is in a desert, and the accommodations were also pretty good. The staff were all very friendly and sweet. Overall, I give the trip 5 stars since it was the perfect way to start my last year in high school.

The "cabin" was nicer than i thought it was going to be. The staff was friendly, food was pretty good. My only real issue was how the trains seemed to roll by multiple times a night every night, I know this isnt the resorts fault. However in my research leading up too it there was no mention of it at all that I found. I would say it woke me up 3 or 4 times each night. Also the bathrooms definatly came across as they needed to be cleaned a little more often. Id like to give it 3.5 stars...but google isnt that advanced yet sadly.

This place is fantastic, the rafting tour was absolutely breathtaking and Andrew our guide was great!
The cabins and the tipis are both fantastic to sleep in! The little coffee shop inside is also great!
Our lunch and dinner we had was really good, but the breakfast had room for improvement. The wait time was much longer than we anticipated based on the system where you reserve and don’t order a specific meal. The meal was alright, though everything on the plate was cold by the time it reached us.
Don’t let that deter you from booking an amazing vacation here though! The live music and pool were highlights as well.

The power rafting was so much fun, and our guide Mary told us lots of cool details along the way. The food tasted great, especially the desserts! Because they are canvas cabins, there are lots of bugs inside and it gets freezing cold in the mornings. However, each cabin has a bit of electricity from the solar panels to charge devices (but not enough to for example power a kettle), and the string of lights inside the cabin makes it super cozy in the evenings!

I had a blast! Spent the weekend at the resort. Did both paddle and motorboat. They let us bring my giant waterproof boom box onto the motorboat which was awesome I highly recommend music for the ride down. All the staff were helpful and fun. Absolutely no complaints. You won't regret this experience. I can't wait to go again.
Diamond in the rough! Beautiful campsite. I just one beef, Park Operators could clean sites between campers, lots of cigarette butt's in our site:(
But back to the greatness...... DRINKING WATER! It is great. I come from a city you can't drink the water. This was a real treat to drink from the tap! The campsites are smaller, so if you have a large rig it could be difficult....mind you people did it....wow! The sites have minimal to NO shade. The sites are very private from the sides. Yes there is road noise, but it's tolerable, and if you have low music on in the background it helps. Most campers like to use the top sites, so bottom sites usually available, we liked them better nicer views while sitting there having a coffee or a beer. There are also first come first serve sites.
Beautiful bathroom facilties with free showers and plugs. There is a dishwashing station with two flush toilets. There are pit toilets throughout the site.
There is an old abandoned campsite at the end of the park, its a beautiful walk, creepy too, there are two pit toilets with TP!
The campsite is full of chipmunks, squirrels🐿, mice, and marmmets. Birds galore🐦. At night the stars are spectacular, and the Bats are amazing, shine your flashlight into the sky you can see them catching bugs. For children, there is a bicycle hill park, and a playground near the showers. This campground was fabulous, we stayed for a week. There is no reception in the campground. You can get cell service at the Visitors Centre, or the Resort, and the Canco Gas station.
It's a short drive to Lightening Lake.
We ended up taking home a family of mice 🐭, be sure not to leave your storage compartments open...ugh.
I highly recommended this campground!

We like this campground and have come to camp here many times. The park operators are active and the bathrooms & showers make it enjoyable.
It is absolutely hit and miss on who your neighbors are and how much they like to make noise. We wanted a calmer wilderness weekend and got terrible karoake from 10 sites away instead.
That being said, it's a lovely facility, the park operators shut down the noise at 10pm and it's close to lightning lake and hiking!

One of the absolute best campgrounds I have ever been to! No wonder it's hard to find a vacancy. Great campground! Sites are secluded enough you have your own privacy from fellow campers, central location for main bathrooms, convenient dish washing sinks outside, outlets for whatever you want or need to plug in, trails throughout the campground connect all different areas together ......but the highlight of this campground is the big playground for the kids, it is the largest playground I've ever seen in a campground, the kids played in it non stop for the entire trip! Will definitely be coming back to this campground.

First time camping on this campground and my wife & I love it. We stayed at #92 for two nights from Sunday to Tuesday. We were one minute walk to flush toilet, kitchen sink for washing and 2-3 min walk to the shower. The facilities were well maintained by their friendly staff. They go around the campsite with the pick up truck to sell fire wood. To bad we missed it so we bought firewood in Manning park info center which is about 5 mins drive only. We did not get bothered about the high way noise because after 10pm, there are very few to nothing cars driving that time.
Definitely we will come back here and stay longer to explore more the manning park area.

Manning park is only about 2 and a half hour drive from the lower mainland. We like going to this campsite for its facilities, such as washrooms, showers, garbage and recycling. And I am impressed with their playground and the biking pit for kids. Early in the morning when there's a lot of shade, we enjoy playing in the playground and bike pit. But don't go after noon because it will be burning hot. We usually go to the lake in the afternoons.
This campsite is closer to the highest but still quiet enough that won't bother you at night. And looks like it's still developing new sites. So in 10 years when the trees are growing bigger, it will be a nice site to enjoy.

Lots of history to learn, all the hosts there were very informative and entertaining from the blacksmith to the Inkeeper, stagecoach driver and everyone involved in each exhibit. The gold panning was especially fun for all ages. Highly recommend this for all ages, a good way to spend a day.

Great historic stop. Stage coach rides, gold panning, nice displays. Fabulous gift shop!

The campsites with power are limited but there is a lot of space in the field with no power. There is no shade in the campground so it can be extremely hot. There is a small playground and clean bathrooms + showers but they're a bit of a walk from the RV area. The historic ranch was fantastic to explore with kids, it's great they can touch items and explore. The wagon ride was fun and the kids loved all the farm animals.

Decided to visit for the first time after reading great reviews. Upon buying the tickets I asked what time the stagecoach ride would be at. I was told the stagecoach wasnt available as the driver quit and the only other person who could provide the ride only worked part time and wasn't available. Was disappointing because that was one of the things we were looking forward to.
Other than that it is a beautiful, well kept historical site.

I absolutely don't understand why you water grassland during the day while temperatures soar to 36°C and higher.
It does not make any difference as the water evaporates instantly.
Pure waste in these weeks of draught.☹️

A Totally Awesome experience!!! A must see!!! The Native village is so informative and the games are plenty of fun... The Roadhouse is haunted I'm sure but tons of fun!!! The is also gold panning.🙂

Is a beautiful place to stop and stretch your legs and explore some of the past. So many amazing old buildings and they are full of some of the most incredible trinkets and past tools. Definitely take advantage of the horse and buggy ride. It's rough but sooo worth it.

Stayed at the family cabins and had a lovely experience. Such a great price for what you get and a great place to stop along the way to the interior.
I did however find the service sub par in comparison to over the years. Paid $70 for the family admission and didn't get a tour at the road house as we had in the past. They kind of sat around and wouldn't interact unless prompted. Another couple walked in about half way through walking ourselves through the house and seemed a bit annoyed and asked the people to give them a tour, and the employees didn't seem all too enthusiastic.
That being said, the interpretive first nations set up across from the road house was fabulous. They were very keen to show and educate us on everything there. If the house had their level of enthusiasm and interaction I would have given 5 stars
They also didn't have the stage coach going when we arrived (and it was a cool day not more than 23 degrees and breezy) the next morning the horses were never hooked up either. I feel the website was a bit misleading and led to disappointment in regards with what to expect would be included in admission price

My visit was an included stop at Hat Creek through a bus tour Not only did I enjoy browsing the gift store (and bought some beautiful artwork cards there) I thoroughly enjoyed a refreshing cool drink and a wonderful sausage roll for morning tea! If I were traveling this way again, I would stop and spend a longer time viewing what the Ranch may further have to offer - it's a beautiful location, and wonderful flower baskets adorn the main buildings.

4 of us paid the fee for entry which included the stage coach ride and an introduction to the historic Hat Creek Roadhouse. Those workers were all sitting in the roadhouse visiting and you had to interrupt them for info. We were all very disappointed. There was no one at the native interpretive centre.
Had been to the ranch several years ago and it was a great experience so took our summer company there.

This was such a great find!!
We stayed in a covered wagon. Our bunks were comfy, the property was beautiful, and the staff were great!
They clearly take a lot of pride in their property! It is very well maintained and taken care of.
Thanks for this beautiful memory!!

Basic, functional and clean cabins at a reasonable price. Better than staying in the dumpy hotel in Cache Creek! Definitely not luxury, but bed was comfortable and shower was great. Also had a small fridge and coffee machine in cabin.
Unfortunate that restaurant on site not open on Tuesday/Wednesdays so had to drive into Cache Creek for food.

Best Ranch so far i ever visited. Authentic houses, logcabins and sheds. Beautiful historic atmosphere and a window too the past of the cariboo-road. All of the staff were very polite and helpful. You could ask them all about the past of the ranch and the people who used to live there. A great experience for young and old. Very recommended.

McArthur Island Park is a beautiful green space in the city with amenities like baseball and soccer fields, a 3-km loop path by the river, and a skate park. This park offers great opportunities for walking or biking as it has many places to rest and enjoy nature. The park is also home to friendly squirrels that visitors can encounter while sitting down.
My favorite place for my daily walks!
The park is very well maintained and has alot of amenities! My favorite thing about McArthur Island is seeing the deer, marmots, and beavers!
The park is also well lit for winter season so 6pm walks are bright and safe!

This is amazing sports park in Kamloops.
I rated 4 stars because the park's not allowed dogs. There's so many family bring dogs when they travel for the tournament but we have to leave dogs in the car in hot weather because no dogs allowed in the park

New playground at Mac Island! Some great new structures over by the mini golf. We managed to spend most of the morning here. Playground is well constructed and has multiple play areas. Logs, spikes, swings, slides and a great in-ground merry-go-round. Was a huge hit with the kids and we will be certain to return!!

Went to Kamloops Gem Show that was held at the Sports Arena this month. After the show I decided to walked through the grounds in MacArthur Park on the way out.
They are very well maintained....beautiful green lawns and huge weeping birches with other variety of plants & seasonal flowers. Went to Xeriscape Garden, which is a lovely garden that offers a quiet space to sit and enjoy the tranquility of nature and is near the walking path.
The park itself is covers a vast area with walking trails thst encompass the whole park & along the west side, too.
Wildlife abounds in the park from squirrels, golden marmot, geese families, bear, many deer & bird species, occasionally cougars, and coyotes. It's a beautiful place to spend the afternoon or have a picnic.

Really nice park to walk or bike. I use to live very close to this park so I visited it frequently. Animals, running water, greenery, people... It had many places to stop and rest. The squirrels in this park are very nice! When I would sit down most of the time I'd have a squirrel appear in my lap lol I loved it! This park has a bit of everything.
Dwagonfwy — Google review
I love the deer at the park. It adds to how relaxing it is..when it's not full of athletes that is lol.
Joey Jack — Google review
Extremely well maintained. Lots of soccer fields baseball diamonds paved Pathway to walk the perimeter of the entire park. Even in a wheelchair.
Dogs are not allowed fortunately or unfortunately depending upon your viewpoint.
Lots of trees and vegetative growth. Is Not Unusual to see deer grazing near the paved path. You can literally walk past them and they will not run away a lot of the time.
There are also a lot of river views along the path. Marmots are also quite common and curious along the path. Benches with views of the river are scattered along the path as well.
Individuals Jog and families walk and ride bikes around the park. People are friendly and usually wave hello as you pass them going the other way. We love it!
Yes I almost forgot! There is a former 9-hole golf course that has been converted to a Frisbee Golf Course. And it is free. As well as a little mini golf course that is quite well maintained not fancy but fun. And it is also free. Bring your own balls in your own putter. Enjoy!
Riverside Park in Kamloops is a verdant oasis that offers a range of outdoor activities throughout the year. This urban green space features a sandy public beach along the river, recreational paths for walking and biking, as well as seasonal music and food events. Visitors can also enjoy amenities like washroom facilities, playgrounds, tennis courts and an off-leash dog park by the river.
Such a beautiful park in the core of Kamloops. There is even an off leash dog park by the river. The trail winds all along the river. It’s a beautiful walk and, for us, a perfect time of year.

The park is very beautiful. The children's playground and facilities are amazing. The game types are unique and fun. Unlike other places, I was surprised by the disciplined behavior of the children. What saddened me the most in this place was that I saw adults smoking cigarettes irresponsibly among many children. It is appropriate for the park staff to follow up and stop such behavior. Apart from this, the management and cleanliness of the park is also unique.

Thoroughly enjoyed this park. My wife and I were staying at the Delta hotel downtown and it was a short walk to this park. It was a hot day and we came here at about 10 pm for a nice walk around the park. There are washroom facilities available here. There is a spray park, riverside beach, walking trails, playground and tennis courts. If you’re looking for a great park in Kamloops this is the place for you.

I was on my way back from Revelstoke and found this park near the beach. This park is recommended for everyone. There are picnic tables, a playground for the kids and you can go out swimming too but there are limits on how far you can go. It's also close to nice restaurants so you don't have to far to find something to eat.

A shining example of a modern playground: rope structures, swings, rubberized ground, zip lines and musical instruments. Where this playground excels is the accessible features which include teeter totters, a merry-go-round and swings/zip line! Also, the splash park is single handedly the best splash park I've ever been to.

The BC Wildlife Park is a vast animal rehabilitation and zoo facility that houses various animals indigenous to the area, such as arctic wolves and grizzly bears. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Kamloops Lake, go bird watching or hiking in Salmon Arm. The wildlife park also features an impressive Wild Lights display showcasing illuminated dragons, arches and dinosaurs. Don't miss the train journey for just one dollar, where you might wonder how Santa and his reindeers stay atop the mountain.
I absolutely adore this park! The staff always radiate happiness and extend a warm welcome to visitors. The entire facility is meticulously maintained, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment. As for the animals, they appear genuinely content within their enclosures. The park's commitment to enrichment and providing cozy hiding spots truly stands out.
One of my favorite experiences is attending the delightful bird shows . The petting zoo boasts an impressive variety of animals, making it a must-visit.
But here's the real gem: the Christmas Light Up event. It's nothing short of remarkable! As a Kamloops resident, I find myself returning to this magical place at least once a month. It's simply that good!

I went here only for the wild lights and it was quite amazing to experience. Got some of my favorite pictures and could see very few animals. Beautiful train journey though. Always keep one dollar for the train. Wondered how they kept the Santa and reindeers on top of the mountain. Loved the detailing in that also to include Rudolph the RED NOSE REINDEER. Illuminated dragon was really good so was the arch and dinosaurs. Overall a great experience.

Good way to kill a day with the little ones. Bunch of different rescue animals to check out. Even got a train that does a couple loops of the park. Worst part was a cheeseburger I ordered that I'm pretty sure wasn't meat(it was grey and slimy and tasted like freezer burnt cardboard) It inevitably found its way to the garbage after 2 bites. So if you eat at the Cafe order the wraps and not the burgers.

We also go every year around New Years for the Wild lights display

The admission was decent and they had a lot of different animals. Still was a bit disappointed to not being able to see the polar bears. I really liked the three legged Canadian Lynx they have here. Most of the cages are quite large and allow ample space to see the animal, specially the further in you go where they have the herbivores.

Really cool place! All the animals are rescues or rehabs. Seems the habitats are a little overgrown but we still saw the grizzlies, the kermodes bears, cougar, wolves, fox, elk, rams, mountain goats and so much more in the 1.5 hr we were there. Go early to beat the heat!

Great place for kids and everyone to learn about the wildlife animals. Our kids loved all the exhibits. Since we were here on a hot August day, many of the animals were not out and visible. However, we did get to see the grizzlies which was most exciting for the kids. As well as the train ride, which was only $1 per ticket (bring cash).
Nice playground area for the kids. Lots of picnic tables in shaded areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Animals are well taken care of.

It’s a great wildlife zoo, very educational for kids and everyone to learn things about wildlife animals. During the time we went I guess was a bit too hot so some of animals hide inside, however we did see lots of animals. Monte Creek Ranch Winery is a large winery in Thompson Valley that showcases the distinct character of its terroir through its wine production. Their cool-climate grapes thrive on the working ranch's 486-hectare land set in the rain shadow of Coast Mountains.
Consistently one of my favourite wineries to visit and only a quick 3hr drive from the Lower Mainland. Unpretentious with great views and wines. The restaurant is always a good idea, where you can enjoy wine flights or a bottle of your favourite on their patio. The Blueberry wine is a surprise with hints of basil, and the Hands Up White is a fabulous patio sipper. Don’t drive to, or through, Kamloops without a stop at this winery.

🍇Monte Creek Ranch Winery
Visited this unique winery in a 5-day trip to Sun Peaks, Kamloops.
Its around 20 minutes out of Kamloops heading Salmon Arm.
From the very beginning, the entrance inspires with a feeling of a real farm. Driving for some minutes, you reach the parking surrounded by picturesque vineyards.
The testing center and restaurant reside side by side, overlooking vineyards.
🍇 You have 9 options to test for $6 and it will be refunded if you buy any wines.
1- Chardonnay Reserve (2018)- $24.99
2- Riesling (2019)- $19.99
3- Hands Up White (Box 2019)- $34.99
4- Sparkling Rosé (2019)- $21.99
5- Rosé (2018)- $18.99
6- Pinot Noir Reserve (2019)- 34.99
7- Foch (2017)- $19.99
8- Cabernet Merlot (2017)- $21.99
9- Blueberry Wine- $17.99
My recommendations (my taste):
🥂2018 Chardonnay Reserve is unique as after drinking, it tastes in your mouth in 2 phases. First, like regular white wines, yet, after a while a second acidity taste bursts and you’ll enjoy it. I loved it and bought it.
🍾 2019 Hands up white would be one of your top choices which is a blend of three other wines. If the Box is available, its worth buying for a better price $44.99)
🍷 2019 Pinot Noir Reserve tastes awesome with wood taste at the end. As a big fan of Pinot Noir, you definitely try this.
🫐 Blueberry wine was my last option to buy and you can’t imagine how different it could be. I love the smooth taste.
🍷 2017 Foch is a must to test and even to buy. The taste is like no other.
Also, there are many accessories for anyone who is a wine-lover. Go through them and you’ll like many of them.
Restaurant atmosphere is special and you can see the vineyards while enjoying your food.

Make sure to reserve your table in advance if you're visiting on the weekend. The food was good but the menu is limited, not too many options to order from. I recommend the spicy pepperoni. Best thing about this place is the view of the patio. Overall, it's a good experience.

The tasting experience was lovely, but there was a charge of $12.00 per person. If I had not purchased any wine, I would have no problem with that. My partner & I did the “Into The Wild” dog sledding tour with our guide Justin, who was very friendly & knowledgeable about the dogs and the local Sun Peaks area.
We got to meet all the dogs, learnt a bit about their breed and history of sledding. The sledding tour was magical, all rugged up and running through the trees and down hills with 8 very happy dogs. The dogs are very well looked after, friendly and cant wait to get out running. After the tour, we got to even give them a treat afterwards.
It was honestly one of the coolest experiences we have ever had the chance of doing.

Cold wasn’t an issue. They put a big heavy blanket over you and then the canvas so it’s really not cold at all. My daughter didn’t even want her snow hoodie up.
There was no way anyone was getting bored no matter how long it was.
Highly recommend bringing sunglasses as the dogs can kick up loose snow when they break into a run.
Our guides Trent and Riley were fantastic. Told us when the best spots for photos were coming up you you’re not holding your phone out for 90min straight. They’re great with the kids. Clearly loved what they did and those dogs are so well looked after.
The dogs can’t wait to go for a run. They don’t let them run hard enough to get too tired, stopping and resting after every rise. We spent a good 30min at the end with the kids just playing with all the dogs.

We had a great time! An experience for life. Great views and lovely dogs. Would definitely do it again and recommend it. Dogs have as much fun as we do and are very well taken care of. Our guide, Chris, told us every detail and all curiosities about it!

The dogs were friendly and eager. The day was clear and bright. The scenery was stunning, the tree branches heavy with snow. Our guide, Chris made sure we were comfortable, safe & bundled up in the sled. He was informative and entertaining. He gave the dogs a break. We could stretch our legs, take photos and cuddle the dogs. At the end of the tour we got to give our hardworking new friends their treat of pork fat!!
Fabulous memory! Highly recommended!

Our dog sledding experience was so fantastic with Mountain Man Adventures! The dogs are looked after so well and treated with care, something which is very important to us, they were all so excited to be going sledding which was a great sign that they are enjoying themselves! The longer tour was so great, we saw beautiful views of the forest and the lake and stopped for photos. Our guide Riley was sensational, he was so knowledgable about the area and took so many great photos of us with the dogs, he was very professional with the sled and made us feel in safe hands the whole way round. This was a bucket list experience for us that did not disappoint!

What a fantastic experience…absolutely loved the dogs and the whole sledding experience. Chris was so relaxed and chatty, answering all our questions. We had 3 sleds out on our run, all the guides were friendly and relaxed while being professional and well in control. Loved the whole experience of meeting the dogs, interacting with them, and helping feed them afterwards. Thank you all for making this outing so fun and educational too! Would definitely do it again with these guys.

Dog sledding at Sun Peaks BC was the highlight of my trip to Canada. Loved it so much I went back for a second sled. It’s an absolute must do.
All the dogs are gorgeous and so friendly.
So well cared for, behaved and loved. They just love running!
Awesome team of owners, sled 🛷 drivers and all operators. It’s the best!! Thankyou for a wonderful experience.

Best experience on the mountain so far for this winter season! We absolutely loved it from start to finish. Chris picked us up from the VDL and gave us loads of info about the village and surrounding area. Riley took us on our tour (the long tour) so worth it! He was super friendly and told us all about the dogs, the surroundings, tracks in the snow of different animals.
The dogs are just beautiful and their names are brilliant.
Thank you to all.
Highly recommended!

This was FANTASTIC! The whole team was friendly, welcoming, and informative. The dogs were so friendly, and our guides, Trent and Eden shared all about how they train the dogs, how they line them up on the team for pulling, what the dogs' personalities are, and a bit about dog sledding history as well. It was incredible to be pulled through the wild by dogs who so clearly love to run. The whole family was grinning the whole time -- definitely a must-do experience!

Sometimes I don’t want to review a place because I want it to stay a hidden gem and not overrun, which is Sun Peaks area but my gosh dog sledding with Mountain Man is one of the top life experience I was fortunate to have. Kate was amazing and knowledgeable, Chris was so helpful with ideas on what to do in the area. And the dogs. If you must have a reason, go for the dogs. They love dog sledding, they are so well taken care of and well socialized. The best part of already a “best of the best” tour was the “obligatory” say hi to all the dogs. Yes the 15+ dogs in addition to your sled dogs. How can you not, when they stare at you & Jedi mind trick you to go to them and give them lots of love. Please don’t miss this step. Thanks for an amazing experience
Fintry Provincial Park and Protected Area is a stunning destination in the Okanagan Valley, offering visitors the opportunity to camp, hike, and experience a dramatic waterfall. The former waterfront estate boasts a restored manor and historic farming buildings that provide insight into the area's rich history. One of the main attractions of this park is its beach access and gorgeous hiking trails that offer breathtaking views of the surroundings. Additionally, visitors can tour the Fintry family home which still stands on the property.
I had the opportunity to see the waterfall with a high volume of water, due to the melting of Terrace Mountain and other peaks. It has been impressive.
Also, it is wonderful to be on the shore of Lake Okanagan with its clear waters and peaceful atmosphere.

There is nothing not love about Fintry Provincial Park. There is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Okanagan Valley. Historic farming buildings, a gorgeous hike, camping with beach front access and is just the best.
One of our favorite things is the information of the Fintry their family home is still standing with options for tours! Lots of neat info to read up on before going!
Chalk it up on your adventure bucket list because it's a spot you will never forget!

Awesome campsite! Some of the sites are very open, so they can get sunny and hot during the day. There is tall grass separating the sites though so there is still some privacy. Proximity to the lake is great! The staff were lovely and very helpful, and there are some cool old buildings that you can check out in the park!

Wonderful, well run campground. Lovely beachside with two swimming areas and a large, easily accessible dog beach in the middle. Great heated showers and mostly flush toilets. Fantastic playground for kids. There is a strong breeze sometimes from the southwest so be prepared if you are in an exposed site. Loop 1 is the most shaded and loop 2 is varied but right beside dog beach. Loops 3 - 5 are the newest with some smaller trees but the best shower block. Level area so great for easy cycling and walking.

Beautiful provincial park, lots of campsites, ( There are 5 different sections) the hayfield is the newest & is pretty hot (very little shade🌞) & can be very windy ( I've watched people's tents blow away).. So recommend a RV/trailer in those sites. The park is Family friendly with playgrounds and lots of clean shower houses. The history of the place is really cool. I would recommend the tour of the mansion, a walk up the waterfall stairs, a swim or paddle at the beautiful beaches. Fun for all ages. (Make sure to bring your mosquito repellent!! ( there are areas that they swarm here) and water shoes for the beach. It is a beautiful place

Located in Vernon and Kelowna border. A very quiet and kid friendly campsite. Staff are SUPER NICE and all Facilities are CLEAN.
Campsites are very well maintained. Lots of places to do such as hiking the nearby waterfalls, walk path, beach, boat dock, brand new playgrounds etc.
Note: Gate closes at 11:00 PM but someone can open it for you if needed.

Beautiful, quiet, lakefront, really meets the mark. Public picnic spaces with a boat launch. Dog beach also and 160 sites. Be careful though, most sites over #100 are in a field with no shade far from the water.

So….. I’ll start by saying that this is a nice and unique campground. But, depending on the time of year and where your site is located will determine whether or not you will enjoy your stay. We had the unfortunate luck of camping in an exposed site on loop C site 95. So on top of dealing with a crazy amount of mosquitoes (no surprise since this year has been exceptionally bad) we were completely exposed to the searing heat and sun the Okanagan is known for. We ended up cutting our trip short because it was simply not enjoyable. During the day it was impossible to stay in the tent or sheltered dining area because it was 10 degrees hotter than outside and if you sat outside the mosquitoes would eat you alive. The people that run this place should really consider blocking out the exposed sites to RV’s only and leave the sheltered tree lined sites to the tent campers. This truly is a unique location with a beautiful lake and lots to do for families so it’s a shame that the experience of camping here can be so different depending on what site you get. As others have suggested, planting tree’s for more shade and doing a better job with mosquito control can turn this campground from a 3 star to a 5 star location. In the meantime they can make an immediate difference by prioritizing the tree lined spots for us tent campers. It was just a crime seeing giant RV’s parked in most of the tree lined sites, enjoying the shade, running AC while everyone in the exposed middle sites were roasting in the heat.

Loved this campground! Lots of large campsites and mostly private. Some have less shade. Lots of crickets. Easy walk to the beach from all sites. Lots of history walls with the manor to the old barns. Beautiful views of waterfall. Definitely bring bug spray for the hour of sun to shade. Will be coming back for sure.

This is one of the shorter hikes to be found in this area. However, it is visually spectacular and physically intense. Be prepared for many, many stairs! One of our favourite places to visit. It is a bit of a drive from Kelowna, but well worth it. The drive is scenic and relaxing. There are other hikes to experience along the way as well! Be sure to give it a try if you’re looking for a quick, unique hike!

All you want to know about Wells Gray Provincial Park is available here. The visitor centre has washroom facilities available. There is a wonderful gift shop section and interpretative area in the building also. There is ample parking and picnic tables and benches to sit on outside. If you can stop here do so as it is really nice.

Thank you. Maybe I have missed certain info in the center, but I didn't see specific information on hiking trails. I take Moul Falls for example, I almost gave up and didn't go to the base until a hiker told me it only took me 20 minutes to go down. I am so thankful I did because it's another cool experience. So, I wonder if you can play video, give recommendations, etc in the center and give hikers more info and guidance where to go and what to expect?? Just a thought.

Wells Gray was on my bucket list. We drove 3 hours and I was so excited. We stopped at the information building to pick up a brochure and map (you definitely need this). Our first stop was Spahats Falls, the closest Falls. We parked and had to change our of our shorts and sandals into warmer clothes. By the time we finished changing it started to pour rain. We tried waiting it out but it didn't let up for hours. So we went back home. Grrrrr. We were unable to get a hotel for a decent price due to the Terry Fox run that was happening. So we will go back as soon as we get the chance.

🌟🌲 A Natural Marvel Worth Witnessing! 🌲🌟
Helmcken Falls in BC is an absolute gem that has left me awestruck! This majestic waterfall, nestled within the breathtaking Wells Gray Provincial Park, is a true masterpiece of nature's beauty. Standing before the thundering cascade, I was humbled by the sheer force and elegance of the water plummeting down the rugged cliffs.
The trail leading to Helmcken Falls offers an invigorating journey through lush forests and captivating vistas. The anticipation builds with each step, and the payoff is beyond imagination. As you approach the viewing platform, the mist caresses your skin, and the sound of crashing water echoes through the canyon — a sensory symphony that's impossible to forget.
Whether you're an avid nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply seeking a moment of serenity, Helmcken Falls will not disappoint. The pristine wilderness surrounding the falls adds to its allure, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and travelers alike.
Prepare to be transported to a realm where the power of nature takes center stage, leaving you in awe of the Earth's wonders. Helmcken Falls has etched itself into my heart, and I can't wait to return to this awe-inspiring masterpiece of nature's creation.

Thunderous falls! Simply breathtaking. 45 minute commute from clear water. Certainly the biggest and the baddest out of the 20 falls. Parking lot 2 minutes away from viewing platform. Information plaques provided.

This waterfall is huge! Pictures don't do it justice. The spray from the water has eroded the rock, carving a giant bowl-like shape behind the falls. You have to come listen to the sound and see its beauty for yourself :) this is probably the shortest walk to view a waterfall in the whole park.
Tay Canuel — Google review
This is undoubtedly the coolest waterfall I have ever seen! It's as if it came straight out of a fantasy movie, with a setting that makes you imagine a dragon living nearby or in the dark carved-out part of the fall. The fall is ten times better than what you see in the pictures.
However, please note that finding it might be a bit challenging since there is no service (data) detectable in the area, and our Google Maps was not working. I highly recommend planning ahead for navigation before heading here!

Amazing. We visit these amazing falls at least once a year. The hike in from the south side is quite nice and absolutely worth it. The unrestricted view of the falls is breathtaking. If you are able to hike in, I highly recommend it. Take your time as the path can be uneven in parts ... there are tree roots and rocks that can trip you up but aside from one or two small hills the hike is mostly flat.

Spahats Creek Falls, located in Wells Gray Provincial Park, is an impressive 246-ft. waterfall situated in a large rock canyon. The park boasts other spectacular waterfalls such as Maul Falls and Helmcken Falls, with Mount Robson Provincial Park being the last stop before heading to Jasper. Visitors can easily access Spahat and Maul Falls through short walks and may even spot bears on these trails or at the roadside.
These falls are one of biggest and the closest to highway which explains the largest parking lot and the most people. However there are lots of angles to see that falls from and seeing what water has done to the canyon is amazing.

This is a really beautiful place. It was a very short walk to the viewing area. I loved looking at the rock layers on the sides of the waterfalls. Super neat to see the layers of lava flow stacked on top of each other, and to be able to look back in time at each layer.

Beautiful spot. It's possible to hike down to the base of the falls if you're feeling adventurous. Requires proper hiking shoes/boots. Walking sticks and spikes not necessary, but would be very helpful, as the trail is pretty steep grade on loose dirt.
Approximately 200m beyond the viewing platform, there is a clearing on your left, which leads to an unofficial, but easy to follow trail. Not for the faint of heart.
Estimated 2 km round-trip to the base of the falls, with an elevation change of about 300m or so. Took about 1.5 hours of hiking time round-trip.
Otherwise, an easy few minute walk from the parking lot to the viewpoint. Washrooms and food stand at trailhead.

Historic O'Keefe Ranch is a museum that offers tours of heritage buildings and kid-friendly encounters with farm animals. The ranch was founded in 1867 and has a rich history. The exhibits are fascinating, and the staff is well-informed and invested in the stories and heritage of the site. Visitors can learn about the community's past and present through interactive displays, including a milkmaid exhibit.

I found this place by chance, just wanting to visit Vernon and I'm so glad I did! We entered through the main gift shop and our greeter was dressed in the attire of the period. We got a map of the ranch, which is a good thing as the grounds were much larger than expected. So much history, and they've kept the buildings and the equipment so well, it displays beautifully. And did I mention there's a candy story in what used to be the old Post Office? So delightful! Spend a couple hours to take it all in.

Mount Edith Cavell is a picturesque mountain in Alberta that offers various hiking and climbing trails. It has a distinctive glacier and is the province's most prominent peak entirely within its borders. Visitors can see two glaciers up close, namely Angel and Cavell, as well as an opaque green pond with drifting icebergs. The mountain faces are incredibly steep, which climbers find exhilarating.
It is a must visit place!
There is absolutely gorgeous view. If you love hiking, it’s a great place for intermediate hike. If you love taking photos - it’s one of the best spots!
What to do there:
- hike
- take pics
- learn history of the place
- enjoy nature
- enjoy the glacier
When to visit:
The sooner the better because the glacier is melting super fast.
Parking:
- plenty of free public parking available!
What you need for the best experience:
- good stable shoes so you won’t trip and fall. The surface is uneven (lots of big and small stones)

Amazing place to visit in Jasper! While there were other people present, this is much quieter than most other popular Rockies locations. We did the hike up to the glacier, trail is paved most of the way with benches at the end - it is steep for the first half, but fairly flat after that. The glacier and pond were amazing! Highly recommend if I’m the area!

Punit Kumar Jha — Google review
Off road drive to this place. Its proper hilly road, so whoever is driving should have good experience as there’re sharp turns to reach the parking lot. Trail is about 700 meter to 1 Km and easy trek. Will take 15-20 mins to reach at base of mountain
vivek kumar — Google review
Parking lot is really small, I had to wait for about 20 minutes to park.
Trail distance is very friendly, only 700m from parking lot to the small pond at the foot of the glacier.
It is shrinking, it will disappear some day.
The water in the pond is really cold, some small icebergs are floating in the pond.
A nice, small place to observe and feel glacier.

So cool. One of the best hikes I have done in Alberta! Saw a piece of glacier fall off yesterday which was so cool and a little sad. Trail gets hard near the top of mountain, but good for the heart 🫀. Well kept trail and the end is above the tree line which is interesting . The plants were cool.

It’s a very beautiful place. You definitely need to visit. if you drive up to the parking lot, you need to go to the lake in just 30 minutes
Маргарита Гербина — Google review
The road and short hike to the mountain is fairly steep but it’s worth seeing a beautiful mountain with a glacier, waterfall and glacial pond all in one place.
Doug Hoppe — Google review
One of the most beautiful places we have visited. A road of about a kilometer and a half leads to a beautiful blue lake where ice floats. The leading road is full of many beautiful stones and the lake is bordered by a huge glacier. The height of the mountain is 3,633 meters above sea level and the Angel Glacier is a glacier that flows down the northern slope of Mount Edith Cowell. The mountain is named after the British nurse Edith Cowell who was executed by the Germans in the First World War. To get to Mount Edith Cavell's parking lot, drive from Jasper on Highway 93 (Glacier Highway) and shortly after passing the entrance to the park, turn right onto Highway 93A.

Connect with nature and old friends! Finding a camping spot is a nightmare in Alberta, and when you do, it’s really hit or miss as far as what your experience will be like. Eagle Creek was figuratively and literally a breath of fresh air. Beautiful scenery, and a well maintained campground. It’s also one of the few adult oriented LGBTQS+ spaces. Our fellow campers were friendly and respectful, they offer a variety of events through out the season, as well as serviced RV lots, Dinning, a saloon, indoor rec hall, walk in tenting, and …. CABINS! They’re available for short term rentals or seasonal leasing. They fill up fast. So if you are looking for a unique experience where you can just be you. Look no further you’ll be in good hands. The operators really go above and beyond.

We were looking to disconnect from our stressful jobs and to try camping in an RV for the first time, and Eagle Creek campground fit the bill. The campground operators were friendly and accommodating, and we got the peaceful break we were looking for, in a setting that allowed us to let our hair down, so to speak. The spooky ghost down was a unique touch to the experience.

My partner and I spent the Canada Day long weekend here for the first time and man was it a blast!! Met up with some friends that recommended the place and Eagle Creek did not disappoint. Welcomed with arms wide open at the gate, they informed us about the campground and everything it had to offer. They guys are always driving around ensuring everyone is comfortable and having a good time. They deliver wood to your site. On weekends they have brunch and dinner. Everyone in general was so welcoming and accommodating. We are actually looking at booking with Eagle Creek again in the next following weeks with a big group. Thank you to the guys that made our weekend so comfortable and memorable.

Would not return.
I find that this is a very difficult post to make. I wanted so much to make sure that this Campground got its fair review. I wanted to leave here and still want to come back, one owner ruined that for me. Not another penny will he get from me.
Unfortunately that wanting to come back all changed on night number one when an unidentified older gentleman approached our campsite and drove his side by side right in to our site, as to say by his actions, I own this place and I'll whatever I please.
Not okay.
In an aggressive tone, "Where are these campers?" He was specifically asking for our friends who were occupying the next campsite.
The tone in his voice was very unwelcoming, and in an appalling very matter-of-fact voice stated "I see that you brought your wood. That's not allowed in our campground, We need to make our money somehow please put it back in your truck and if you're going to have a campfire you can purchase your wood from us, We need to make our money somehow, we've got bills to pay."
I was so taken back by his tone, his snootiness, his entitlement that I researched and read the PDF copy of the rules posted on the website and downloaded a copy for myself and this gentleman stated that it was written in these rules five separate places that you were unable to bring your own wood, supposedly. I can guarantee you that at the time this happened, these statements were not listed in these rules and regulations which by the way were very long very deep and very specific so not only did he directly approach our campsite in a very threatening and unappreciated manner he also lied to us flat out.
This type of entitlement by the owners of this Campground is exactly the reason why this place should not continue. This is supposed to be a place that's safe welcoming and accepting for all and by all manner of this interaction is entitled as drove away on his side by side and left us all speechless.
As an owner, he should be ashamed of his behavior. I feel sorry for the staff that work there, which by the way were very friendly and fantastic, and as a side note, they apologized on his behalf. The part that upsets me after all of that, is the statement where he says "We have bills to pay" when quite frankly, since these owners took ownership of this property, have invested little to no money into it. It looks the same as when they bought it; It's all gone into their pockets. None of the buildings had been improved, the washrooms were atrocious. They were dirty, there were no sanitary napkins/paper towels when we needed them, the toilet paper was the lowest possible grade that ripped off and was very difficult to get out of the dispenser the toilets were not clean.
Overall the word from the yearly campers that come here, some for two plus years or at least since it opened under this new ownership, have said the same thing as I'm saying in this review. So it's been confirmed, no need for a "We're sorry you feel this way" reply post.
In fact, There is still a pile of gravel that sits to this day that was supposed to be spread out across the roads as one simple Improvement step and it still sits there today.
Unfortunately, the poor leadership and poor social skills of this owner and lack of investment into their property makes this place an absolute do not return.
I loved the other campers and like I said the support staff were fantastic.
Onwards to another campsite where the owners give a crap about the people they're serving and not about squeezing every possible scent from the people who visit them.
Oh and if you're wondering about the private membership, that mandatory fee, I know, another money grab but it's the only way that you can allow patrons to walk around with their private parts hanging out because it's considered a private Campground and membership is a must. I wish that fee would have gone towards something like a trailer dump or perhaps trees between the sites.
Looking forward to checking out. The end.

Love Eagle Creek! Fantastic sense of community and a great escape for the weekend. This is my happy place. As a seasonal, we’ve made so many great friends and and it’s a great way to meet new people through the summer!

Went here for a night visiting someone who has a spot here. Absolutely adored this campground!!! 100% would recommend. We stayed in the motel, it was very clean and quaint. We had a coffee maker and a microwave, small table with 2 chairs and there was a full bathroom in our room. The roads and grounds were well groomed and it was very easy to get to. It is pet friendly. There is an area for off leash as well. Can't wait to go back!!!

Thanks to the amazing hosts of Eagle Creek. We had a wonderful weekend in Cabin 4. The property is very well maintained and the Saloon being open for Saturday dinner and Sunday brunch was a wonderful and tasty surprise. We can't wait to return in a few weeks.

Best campground I’ve been to in a long time. Owners and management are awesome. Campground is very beautiful and relaxing.
Quiet and peaceful during Fall time. Not much activity during the mid September weekend when I first visited. Would love to return and enjoy the beach and take take out my kayak next summer when it's less chilly and windy 😄

Amazing place for family fun! Has everything you can look for.
Lake , washrooms , place for installing tents, great sunlight, picnic tables. We took out portable bbq. Had a great day trip.

Campground can be a little loud with trains every 90-120 minutes
You can find nice family style hikes along near and away from the lake. I am here in late September and the trees are turning. The beach is probably full in warm summer months but this morning we are the only ones here.

The water is cool and clear of litter. I see many people enjoying the beach and water. It's a beautiful park for a family picnic. I see a large, secluded area with BBQ pit and covered picnic hut/gazebo with tables. The area has a nice view of the lake. I assume it's available for booking/ rental if you have a very large group.

A clean water lake and large campground which has many treed sites and RV sites can be found here. There are trails for hiking and biking and a waterfront beach for swimming, boating, and sailing. The beach and campground are often crowded during summer time. This is a good place for relaxing at weekends.

Lovely place to spend the day with family / friends or just by yourself. There are shades areas and the sunny sand beach that you can choose from. Wish they had more water sport rentals and F&B options at the location.

Could certainly use a little more TLC and a daily blue algae report. But I love the beach and the fact they allow dogs🐾. It's wonderful.

I will never swim here (because the water's always filled with algae) BUT I highly recommend this place because of its nice dock, beautiful trails and huge space to just admire nature and do other relaxing activities (there are boat rentals, playgrounds for kids, lots of picnic areas, a walking path where you can also admire the lake, lots of shaded areas for quiet time/reading) plus a great campground!

Good sized Scenic Lake 45 mins outside Edmonton.Busy on the weekends and slow during the week.Lots of nice camping sites. Wood is $14 a bag. Good boat launch. Cant go wrong spending time out in mother nature.

We love the camp ground. We went to the day use area but needed to find an area of the lake where we could be with our dog. Not many options and what we were able to find were not pleasant. We do wish that more places would make areas that families with pets can use to enjoy the water.

The park was good. I love paddleboarding. However, I dont like to swim in freshwaters with unknown floating stuff...because i got sensitive skin... and can't stay under the sun for too long, which is a bummer. Also, the park needs to have tap water atleast for hand washing and rinsing.

The University of Alberta Devonian Botanic Garden is a 240-acre complex with gardens and conservatories, many featuring exotic plants. The garden is home to a research center and offers educational programs, classes, and workshops for children and adults.
The Northern Lights Dining Experience, beautiful atmosphere in the middle of winter at the gardens. You get your own globe which is heated and has blankets and pillows and proper table to sit and eat. The food is 3 courses appetizers, mains and desserts. All three courses are fondue style. Options for allergies, vegan, pork free, gluten free are available. Alcohol pay per drink. Unlimited coffee hot chocolate tea with your meal. Children are permitted as well. You can fit 6 adults into a globe. You can also go around the Aga Khan portion. Open fire with seating also available. Plenty of free parking. Starts at 5pm and ends at 10pm. Wait staff are amazing. Some tips: dress warmly because inside the globe is only about 10 degrees warmer than outside. And another tip is season pass holders get a discount. Next tip book early spots full up. Amazing place for a date, meet friends or enjoy with family. I believe it is wheelchair accessible too. Great job U of A!!

Our family fell in love with this place! Definitely one of the best botanic parks we have ever been to. Very beautiful, clean and well maintained, especially the Japanese garden. We can't wait to go back. Honestly we were a bit skeptical with the admission fee at the beginning but it was worth the price at the end! This place is so huge that we couldn't check out everything with our baby. But we will definitely revisit to finish exploring the rest of the park!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this amazing establishment, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The ambiance is simply beautiful, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
However, what truly sets this place apart is its exceptional staff. In particular, I had the pleasure of interacting with Diane Gargas, who left a lasting impression with her warm hospitality and unparalleled level of service. Diane went above and beyond to ensure that both the couple I was accompanying and my team felt welcomed and well taken care of.
As someone catering for several wedding events this summer, Diane's accommodating nature and friendliness were invaluable. She effortlessly catered to our needs and made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable.
I cannot thank Diane and the rest of the staff enough for their outstanding service. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience coupled with exceptional service.

Been there a number of times, and the most recent visit being 2021 October to do a family photo shoot. This place never ceases to amazes me. It has a lot of features. The Japanese garden is still my favourite! The Aka Khan Garden is very nice and uniquely designed. The Bontic Garden deserved to be menioned more and should be more advertised as one of the Alberta tourist attractions

We went for a picnic meal thing, and I honestly had no idea what to expect, but the grounds are insanely beautiful, so calm and serene. the food was delicious the service was great. Bathrooms are a plenty. There's several "gardens" to see and each one is magnificent. What a great place for a reunion or wedding or even just a date night... Even go by yourself for a peaceful enjoyable walk.

The air has been "chewy" with smoke, but the grounds are still lovely. Bring a face mask, talk with the friendly staff, have a wonderful visit. Beautiful as ever, and the cherry blossoms are out right now!

This was a beautiful day. The hop on service was great, but as it was senior day, more shuttle runs should be available with a wheelchair trolly attached. Also, the gardening crew did a fantastic job with the grounds keeping. There should always be something flowering. Will do again.

Very nice serene walk amongst the plants. The lake at the Kurimoto Gardens is quite low so there’s no koi in May.

Very nice place to have a leisurely walk with your family. Unfortunately when we went some of the show homes were closed to the public.
Some parts of the garden were similar to the world famous gardens built by the Mughals in India.

A very beautiful place. It's fairly large and we ended up doing a lot of walking over our two hours there. There is a fair amount of variety but some of the plants are a little overused across multiple locations. I especially liked the greenhouse area that contained temperate, arid, and tropical plant collections that provided a large diversity of very interesting plants. Overall a wonderful place to visit and explore.

Let the kids go running around freely. Quiet and calm place, but still tired them out. Adults enjoyed the variety of plants and landscapes. Even though it was the beginning of Fall, there was till plenty of beautiful plant life and landscaping. I highly recommend it for couples or families. We got some GREAT family pictures with our other camera. Worth it!

Beautiful place to visit. I wanted to see how it looks like during the fall. The Japanese garden is the favourite of mine which is on the right hand side after the entrance. There is only one patio cafe at the very entrance & the food taste good. Finding washroom is bit tricky as the sign board points to the unknown direction.

This is amazing place to visit if you enjoy gardens and knowing plants. There's different sections of gardens, you'll enjoy learning. It's good place to bring kids for education. Food is not allowed inside but you can buy from the restaurant inside. Also, it's a good place for events like wedding or any family events, the amphitheater is perfect. There's also showhouses to know the right temp for different plants. There is a Koi pond in the Japanese garden.

Our fall visit was a bit magical. Crowd was light and it was the last day for patrons to bring their pooches. Tons of dogs. The larch was in full color and many flowering plants were in seed resulting in a feeling of peace and calm throughout. The cafe was a bit short of treats but we were happy with the novelty ice cream.
