Orcas Island Pottery is a charming and picturesque studio and shop located on Orcas Island. The pottery produced here is of an exceptional quality, and the establishment boasts a rich history and sense of community. Visitors to the store will be impressed not only by the beauty of the pottery but also by its affordability; despite being difficult and costly to produce, items sold at Orcas Island Pottery are reasonably priced.
Beautiful place. Definitely worth a visit. Their pottery is gorgeous, and the treehouse is a must-see. The venue is a perfect site for weddings. We bought some pottery and had it shipped home.

Gem of the island.
Tons of pottery from a variety of local artists and priced modestly. They’ve carved out a cozy little corner of the forest and placed the pieces all around the property for a unique shopping experience. Purchased several pieces that we are delighted to start using!

What a magical experience!! I’m a beginner potter and I was mind blown by the setting, history and little community here. High quality pottery isn’t easy or cheap to make so I was surprised by their good prices. I can’t wait to come back ❤️

Wonderful pottery shop with several generations of pottery makers. Friendly artists, a large selection of pieces and styles at reasonable pricing. Family treehouse is also fun to explore and it’s a nice drive out to the shop. Must do on the island.

Adorable studio and shop on Orcas Island. We have bought multiple sets of plates and bowls over the years and have found them to be quality, durable pieces
Brian Melton-Grace — Google review
This place is so cool. Hidden in the wood with an overlook of the water and mountains. Look like there is a treehouse and yurt. Guessing is available for Airbnb.
Many cool items here. I would have bought so many things if I wasn't going on a bike. A group of us biked here and we all loved it. Carry a backpack if you are on a bike. Great place to find unique and cool gifts.

Just fantastic things in a beautiful setting. Even if you're don't end up buying anything it's worth the trip.
Rob Reid — Google review
There is a very good view and ceramics are on display in a cozy house, and it's a good place to stay for a while and you can buy the ceramics you like.
Various kinds of flowers are planted, so it's good to take pictures and it's a must-visit place on the island.

Beautiful pottery and has the best noodle bowls in western Washington.
We bought four bowls a few years back and recently had one break but Sydney helped us get more ordered and was helpful through the mishap when they were made incorrectly and now we have not only a replacement bowl but ordered an extra four for all our noodle party needs.
If you’re on Orcas make sure to stop by this gem of a shop!
Kristoffer Henriksson — Google review
Nice place but the pottery is dated and prohibitively expensive. Unless you’re loaded with cash to purchase their products, it’s more of a place to admire the gardens and leave. Would not recommend unless you’re in the area. Parking is limited and there are a lot of passive aggressive signs on the property. We get it, you hate tourists.
Martin Matahari — Google review
Very cool place. Lots of amazing things to look at and buy.
As art is subjective, so is pottery. They have something for everyone visually, lots of beautifully created pieces. However, they can be very expensive.
It's worth a visit. Guarantee you will be surprised by what you find and the place is very cool.
Alex Kueneman — Google review
Just shockingly beautiful work, in all styles/tastes. I was especially taken with Kimberly Hardy's work. Plus, there's a treehouse! Most of the pottery seems to live outside, but there is a smaller indoor space as well and some outbuildings, checkout is at a window on the side of the house.
Sara Beth Wade — Google review
Amazing works of art! Even if you don't plan on buying anything, this is a must stop on the island. The store/gallery is tucked away in the woods, and it feels like you're walking into another world, getting a sneak peak of the local life. All the artwork is displayed throughout the yard and store, and there's a nice view of the ocean from the backyard. Very friendly staff and prices were reasonable considering the time and effort out into each piece.
It was a wow experience with the ferry from Vancouver to Vancouver Island and the return journey back to Vancouver as well. Our to and fro journey were at different timings of the day, so we got to see 2 different ferries. Both the ferries were world class and extremely comfortable. It was a 5-star experience.
Shilpa — Google review
It’s always a good idea to reserve the tickets online at least a few weeks early in the busiest time like summer weekend and long weekends. The ferry is mostly clean at the beginning of the journey but get a bit messy at the end.
The view is amazing whenever you travel from and to. Kids love to take ferries and it was such a great experience. The lineup to order fast food on the ferry can be very long if you come late.

The Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal is superb, especially with the updated "little strip mall of choices"! I also love the option of getting fare savers when available. On a sad note, it's really a shame that BC Ferries is experiencing so many challenges with their fleet and staffing over the last few years; seems to me that there was a time when employment with BC Ferries was highly sought after... I honestly believe that they are doing their best to resolve these ongoing challenges - I hope for them the best of the best!

Nice comfortable ferry to Vancouver Island. The buffet and coffee shop are closed but the food court is still open. Ton of seating and washrooms are available.
Kevin Ao — Google review
We didn’t have a reservation as we were coming straight from the airport. We decided to just drive-in and luckily, we were early enough for the next sailing, we got a spot! It was $15 less than if I had made a reservation online for the same time. The ferry was clean, it had enough seats for everybody on board and it left on-time. We had fun sight-seeing too. The ride was not boring at all.
Violet — Google review
We took the BC Ferries two-way to Vancouver Island. Waiting time from the Tsawwassen terminal was good, and the schedule was on time. I loved the gorgeous scenery while sailing. But then coming back from the Swartz Terminal has challenges. The waiting time was 2 hours and the sailing was late by another hour. It was frustrating considering we were very tired from a day’s trip to the island.
Service: The ferry staffs were helpful and friendly. The seats and washrooms are clean.
Bernie — Google review
We went from here to schwarz bay terminal via ferry. The ferry is quite large, has seating space on the deck, and you can enjoy the phenomal view for 2 hours. You can also get coffee and food as there is a dining in the second floor of each ferry. If you wish to travel by car, you can drive your car to the ferry, park it there, and resume your car trip after reaching to the destination terminal.
Nima E — Google review
Had a great experience. Ticket was not available online so came without tickets although we got lucky and got at last hour also. Playroom for kids, cafeteria, washroom, enough sitting space , well managed , clean and on time also.
Bhumika Bhattarai — Google review
We had online reservation. Smooth experience, well organized, quick embarking & disembarking. We had car too, I was not sure how much time will it take but it was quite fast.
Ferry was clean and well-maintained too. They also have wifi work stations.
Sandeep Gupta — Google review
The Tsawassen Ferry Terminal is very well organized and signalled. Cars arriving to the terminal first check in at an over the window manned counter, check reservation that can be directly scanned from a mobile device screen or printed paper, or if no reservation has been made, you can pay directly using cash or credit card. Once you're done, you'll be given a lane number to follow for your ferry. The station can be accessed during the wait for your ferry, a call is made to drivers to get ready for boarding their vehicles on the ferry. The facility offer clean and maintained public washrooms and a number of coffee shops with seating areas are available.

Well organized and on time services with quick on-boarding and de-boarding. Good food offering onboard, and gift shop, with plenty of comfortable seating. My only complaint is the cost for sailing, found it expensive for four people……sailed Tsawwassen to Nanaimo.
Jackie Z — Google review
Nice experience, as it was my first time with BC ferries I was just satisfied by the service and the food and sitting arrangements were 4.8/5 as per my perception.
Nami Joshi — Google review
The waits, even if you come early for your time slot, are incredibly long. The ferries get cancelled, but the views from the ferries are pretty amazing, and if you are driving, this is one of the only ways to get to places like Victoria, so I guess I’m glad they exist!
SJ Lee — Google review
This was our first time taking this ferry. When I was making reservations, only 3:00 and 9:00 PM were available, so I made it for 3:00. Our flight arrived on time, so we arrived at the ferry port at 1:15. We asked about taking the 2:00. He gave us a ticket and told us which numbered lane to wait. Loading went smoothly. Ride was comfortable. Food was surprisingly good (restaurant good). They have a shop, which had nice stuff (clothes were a bit pricey for us). Lots of seating, even desk cubicles for laptops. It was a beautiful day, and it was nice to relax and enjoy the views after 13 hours of traveling.

A good experience. They were very quick getting us aboard the boat. Beautiful views traveling to Vancouver Island. One thing that could make the trip better is if they had more cafes on the ⛴️.. All in all a good experience.

The ferry I got to Victoria from Tsawwassen was great. The view was amazing. The food was good. Price for food is in the photo.
The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary on Westham Island is a vast wetland reserve, home to over 350 bird species and ranked as one of the top-10 birdwatching sites in Canada. Visitors can explore its marshes and ponds through hiking routes, where they may observe various birds including snow geese during their migration season. The sanctuary also provides an opportunity to spot small birds like the black-capped chickadee when observed slowly.
Wonderful weather today. We came a little late @2pm and did roughly a 2hr round with the kids. We went out beyond the Southwest Marsh towards the Ocean Marshes and saw the snow geese migrating. It was an amazing feeling standing beneath the thousands of geese flying overhead! Elsewhere, lots of little birds, though need to slowly observe. Saw the black-capped chickadee.

Fantastic place for both adults and kids! That is if you don’t have ornithophobia. You will be swarmed by a lot of birds! There are so many different kinds, some are big, some are tiny, some very friendly, and some aggressive. We had so much fun and learned so much. People there were very knowledgeable and guided us through many things about birds and nature.
You need to make a reservation on line to get in and there is small fee for the entry. You also need to respect the rules such as what to feed them and where to feed them.
Kanako Sakurada — Google review
Be sure to reserve your time slot from their website. Closes at 4pm and on Monday’s. They have a few picnic tables if you want to bring a lunch. Seating areas around the trails. Amazing experience with wildlife. So much fun feeding the animals. No dogs or other animals allowed. Cannot bring your own food to feed animals.

Easily spent 3 hours here and wanted to spend more but forgot to bring food as I foolishly assumed I'd be bored after an hour. Very peaceful trails once you get past the main entrance. Went on a sunny Saturday and it was busy but not terribly so. Will definitely be coming back again to visit in the future!
Erin — Google review
Great place for the whole family. I would recommend to book the earlier time slots of entry to stay cool and away from the heat. Unfortunately the chickadees were not in town right now but they will be later. Don't hesitate to go when they are and are not there. It's fun for the whole family. Make sure you buy a couple of bags of seeds. It goes fast. There are multiple spots to feed the birds so don't go nuts right away. The chickadees eat different seeds compared to the other birds so make sure you buy those too when they are here.

I am so in love with this place… will definitely come back 🥰
Tons of adorable ducks (and some geese). A very cute cabin you can take a rest if your legs feel tired or you feel cold in the winter, you can also find a cool old fashion fireplace inside and it’s really warm!
Some nice trails you can take, very quiet and relaxing. You will also have some nice view to enjoy!
Don’t forget to make reservations online before you visit!! We made this mistake at the first place 😂

Came here in early April with reservations. My 4 year old loved feeding the ducks and small birds feeding from his hand. We spent 2.5 hours slowly walking the trails and sat at the lookout point feeding countless birds. We used up 5 bags of seeds!!!

kids love this place, at least ours do. Friendly staff and guests. Nice trails, well kept. Lots of Ducks, Geese, Eagles, etc. You might see an Owl. Manys smaller birds, chickadees that will eat from your hand as well as black birds that will do the same.

Lots of birds there, you can buy seed packets at the entrance so no need to be prepared. Beware of the birds as they can get arrogant, also prepare to get pooped on. If you're ready for that, it's a 5 star experience.

Had a great time sitting with the ducks, sunflower seed snacking with the chickadees and the red winged black birds, and listening to the wind in the reeds. The sanctuary is a real treat, wild yet so safe and accessible. Highly recommending a few hours, the more one stands still, the more one sees and hears. Good postcards and bird themed t-shirts collection at the gift store too, and very friendly staff.

The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary is a must-visit destination for nature lovers, bird enthusiasts, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of the outdoors. To enjoy this paradise, it's important to plan your visit in advance by reserving a parking spot for the morning or afternoon's visit. This has been introduced after COVID-19 and may be here to stay, so it's best to check the website for updates and information.
Once you arrive, you can purchase small packets of seeds for the ducks and chickadees at the entrance with your admission ticket. The feeding stations provide a unique opportunity to interact with the birds up close and personal, and hand-feeding the blackbirds and chickadees is a favorite activity among visitors.
As a photographer, I have spent many hours with my camera in the sanctuary, capturing the beauty of the migratory birds and their natural habitats. The sanctuary is home to a wide variety of bird species, and visitors can witness an incredible array of birds in their natural environment.
The sanctuary is also a great place to catch amazing sunrises and sunsets, providing a stunning backdrop for the birds and natural beauty of the area. You can witness the sky come alive with vibrant colors and watch as the sun sets behind the sanctuary's beautiful landscape.
Overall, the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary is a peaceful and beautiful place that offers a glimpse into the incredible world of migratory birds and provides a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors. With a little bit of planning and preparation, you can fully immerse yourself in this natural paradise, whether you're a bird enthusiast, nature lover, or simply looking for a tranquil escape from the city.

Moran State Park is a vast nature reserve spanning over 5,000 acres of undulating forest terrain and five interconnected lakes. The park boasts scenic hiking trails, camping grounds, and an observation tower that provides panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. Visitors can also enjoy the sights and sounds of a beautiful waterfall amidst the lush greenery of dense forests that are nourished by frequent rainwater.
Really cool area to camp, hike, bike and spend some time in the wilderness. I really enjoyed getting up to the top of Mount Constitution and biking back down. Definitely worth a visit!

Such beautiful trails for walking, running, riding. Most are heavily shaded, so well suited for summer.
We were delighted to see no trash on the 15 miles we walked. Walking among trees >100 years old puts your life issues in a bit of perspective.
Trails are well marked and of varying ability level. The various falls are close enough together to take them in on a single hike. None are tall; all have their charm.
The lakes are marvelously clear and inviting.
The view on top is panoramic. The location offers plenty of rocks and a few picnic benches for lunch or snacks.

Went to Orcas for the day with the wife and 9 yr old daughter and ended up in Moran State Park. Did the Cascade Lake Loop, absolutely gorgeous and perfect hike for the kiddo, just under 3 miles, not much elevation and beautiful views of the lake almost all the way around.
Kevin Starr — Google review
The jewel of Moran State Park is a trip up to Mount Constitution. The midpoint and the top give way to beautiful scenic views of the U.S. Cascade and Olympic Mountains, and the Canadian Cascade Mountains by looking to the NW. On clear days Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainer make an appearance. Looking down at the San Juan Islands in a stunning patchwork of green variegated by blue water that makes up the Straight of Juan de Fuca leading to Pacific Ocean. The park has hiking at every turn and Cascade Lake is a great place to lounge during all seasons. The surrounding camping area is close to the lake and offers a variety of camp sites for a fee.

We love going to this place to camp. The people there are wonderful the campgrounds are always clean.
Is the fishing at cascade lake was out of this world. But watch out for the otters and the eagles.
When you catch your fish they love to eat them before you can

Outstanding campground. Calm place with high and big trees. Enjoyable hike to waterfalls and around lake. Warm water in a lake, kids enjoyed several days of sweeming. Booking a bit tough and should be done upfront especially ferry reservation is tough and their site usually keeps failing with slow performance.
Andrey Tselyuk — Google review
Beautiful little waterfall. So relaxing sitting in the shade and listening to the water come down the fall. The smells are terrific in the middle of dense Forrest that is constantly soaked with fresh rainwater.
Michael St. Denis — Google review
This is a great park. Lots of camping spots available. Really good if you are tenting since they have water, washrooms and coin showers.
Most of the spots are near the lake, which is very a swimmable. Park is overall pretty quiet so nice if you want to get away.
The park rangers routinely drive through so I’d say it’s pretty safe as well. They will enforce the rules but are overall pretty nice about it if you’re nice with them.
Each campsite has a bench and a fire pit. You’re not allowed to burn branches from the forest, but you can purchase wood for an easy fire.
Robtimus Prime — Google review
Excellent lake area on Orcas island for leisure and water activities including kayaking, paddle boarding and paddle boat for rent. Enjoy the tranquility and fun at same time. Watching bald eagle flying and diving for fishes sometimes. Recommended for family outing and vacation spot in this State Park anytime of the year.
Andrew Tan — Google review
Love this place. Have visited many times and camped several. A variety of hikes both in terms of difficulty and experience. By the latter I mean a short small valley trail, around the lake loop trails, and up the mountain through forest with vistas from thousands of feet up. And a little "castle" too. The last 3 night trip I got in two hikes. paddled my yak and swam in 2 different awesome little lakes. At night, a 10 min walk to the lake shore to view the moonlight on the lake. Winner.
Also, the dork in me loves the rare firewood vending machine. Great to help the effort of not transporting firewood between eco systems and just cool at the use of tech. Yes, I feed it my credit card and a bundle of wood comes rolling down the shoot.
Campsites are a little small and can be kind of close together though it varies across the 3 campgrounds. You have to ask yourself if you are there for remotness and privacy (no) or easy access / close probity to one of the lakes. 4 sure. bathrooms were clean and stocked.
C G (Castlewalls) — Google review
I really liked State Park camping. My campsite was facing to the lake. Closer to lake shore beach. I did a lot of hiking in the morning then SUP board paddling in the afternoon. 10mins drive to small downtown. Restroom was clean.
Tomoko Nakajima — Google review
One of my favorite parks to visit and camp in. Lots of recreation options, with multiple trails of various lengths, waterfalls, lakes, viewing tower on top of Mt. Constitution, and lots of campsites. For a kid-friendly hike, try the Cascade Falls trail or the Mountain Lake trail. Most campsites are spacious with decent privacy, plus lake views from many. My only complaint is the showers; as with nearly every Washington State Park, the money box says 50cents for 3 minutes, but it never actually lasts 3 minutes. The middle campground showers were timed at 2 minutes, 38 seconds. WA Parks needs to adjust their timers or change the wording to make it accurate.

Great place to relax, hike, rent a kayak, canoe or rowboat at Cascade Lake. Stunning view to the east from the top of Mount Constitution. Views here from Cascade Lake and South trail on Turtleback Mountain (not part of park).

There's a collection of 9 totem poles in this area. Each has a plaque providing details about the pole. Well worth a stop to admire the carvings by indigenous artists and the histories of these poles. They are replicas and replacements of the original totems which are housed in museums for preservation or returned to their places of origin. There's also a Visitor Centre.

A place to walk, chill, make your mind in peace . White rock pier is a place full of positivity , serenity . One can go there and sit for some time and take a small walk on the pier. Enjoy the beauty ,nature, water, seagulls chirping , sea shore sound. There are enormous restaurants where you can eat and see sunset peacefully. Easily accessible by car till that point . Less walk for seniors and kids too . One can easily take small bus too to reach till that point .

White Rock Pier is a 470-metre-long (1,540 ft) pier in White Rock, British Columbia. Originally built in 1914, it was a dock for steamships that arrived when the Great Northern Railway began operation. On December 20, 2018, the pier was severely damaged during a wind storm. The pier was repaired and reopened in 2019. 🤍

Seasonal tulip farm with a spring festival selling bulbs, floral arrangements, gifts & art.
This is the second time we’ve been to Tulip Town and have loved it both times! The first time we went the season was booming and there were so many flowers of every color! This year Mother Nature was not as robust, and the staff was so friendly and transparent about this up front before we bought our tickets. We appreciated that, and still had such a lovely time playing corn hole, enjoying the flowers that did manage to bloom, and moseying through the farmers market area.

We splurged for the experience pass and I don't think it's worth it if you're not planning on growing tulips yourself. That said, it was very fun to learn about the farm's history and how they do things and also to pick our own bouquets. The atmosphere is obviously 10 out of 10. The entire time I was swooning. Great opportunities to take photos. They could use more food trucks... or even like two food trucks. I recommend really planning out when you want to be there. Parking is a battle and getting to the site was the biggest traffic jam I've ever seen. Some people were waiting an entire hour before even entering the park!

Had a great Easter afternoon here with egg hunt, tractor ride etc small but nice place. Only con is entry price isn't cheap. Enjoy!

Second visit to the Tulip Festival after last year.. Maybe it's because the weather isn't good this year. It seems that there aren't as many tulips blooming than last year... It only takes 5-6 hours to go and come, but it seems like it's less than an hour after looking around.. It's a pity.. Still, I think the tulip is a really lovely flower.

Beautiful flowers and lovely photo ops! Our family thoroughly enjoyed it all but the staff and Rachel the owner definitely made it even more wonderful! Our 3 year old was upset and Rachel stopped what she was doing to come over and cheer her up. She told her about the painting in the barn, showed her a “secret” door and gave her a free bunch of flowers. We will definitely be coming back and telling all of our family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon for our family!

‘Ello Chaps,
Tulip Town is located in the heart of metro-Seattle’s tulip region – Skagit Valley in Mount Vernon to be precise.
This farm has it all. First, free parking (win!) lots of shopping and food options, plus rows and rows of tulips to frolic and explore.
Tulip Town is a textbook definition of ‘agritourism’ including tractor rides. Bring your wagon and well behaved dog and you’ll enjoy hours around.
I will note the prices seem a bit steep on the goods and services, but it’s well worth the visit.
Overall I give Tulip Town four stars out of five.

Great place to get up close and personal with Skagit Valley Tulips! They added some great features like paths through the middle of the fields and props like swings and photo frames for pictures.
I do have to say that the shops and inside part feel more corporate with really high prices on items.

A fun date experience. It is a decent place to walk around and take photos while enjoying the gorgeous colors - it wasn't terribly busy and everyone was fairly polite. Getting into parking requires patience, but nothing terrible. Looking forward to next year!

I went on a random Tuesday afternoon early in the season, and it was perfect! No crowds, easy parking, and so peaceful. There were plenty of beautiful blooms, maybe not peak bloom, but I was happy not to deal with headaches of peak crowds! Took my dog and had a great afternoon.

2 stars because of previous good experiences but 2023 was just awful
First I want to start with the positives
-When we visited in 2021 there was practically no crowd, and the fields were large and beautiful, plenty of room to spread out. It was also pretty quiet and peaceful.
-The shops inside the barn were decently priced, still a bit on the expensive side but nothing too crazy. They had a good selection of items, and the gift shop at the end of the barn was really cute.
-The Animal Crossing theme was super cute, and much appreciated.
The negatives
-Traffic. We had the worst experience in 2023 trying to get to Tulip Town. I normally live about 45min away from Tulip Town, it took 3 hours to get here on a sunny weekend. 1 hour alone was spent less than a mile away from Tulip Town. By the time we got there we were mad, and then had to wait another 30 minutes to get into Tulip Town via the ticket gate. The trip home took another 2 hours, so by the end of the weekend I was absolutely exhausted.
-Over crowding. Obviously because it took 3.5 hours to get into Tulip Town. Tickets need to be capped or something because there is not enough infrastructure to support so many people trying to visit.
-The rows. I respect that the business doesn’t want people walking between the rows, but maybe you should put up some fencing instead of screaming over microphone for people to get out of the rows. Clearly the signage and yelling at people wasn’t working, so try something different? The last thing after a 3.5 hr trip to get here is to have my ear blasted with someone saying “get out of the rows!”
-Shops. Everything has really skyrocketed in price, we didn’t buy any souvenirs because everything was ridiculously expensive. This includes food.
Please cap ticket sales in the future.

For the price of admission, they should offer some other activities besides a tractor ride. The tulips are beautiful, but it’s absurd the amount they charge for looking at one field of flowers.

Beautiful and colorful. a must visit for beautiful photos. my recommendation is to wear something colorful.
Roozengaarde, located between La Conner and Mt Vernon, is a well-known bulb producer famous for its vibrant fields of blooms and stunning display garden showcasing a wide variety of bulb types. The picturesque backdrop includes the majestic Mt Baker and a Dutch-inspired windmill, offering plenty of photo opportunities. Despite the increasing admission price and occasional crowds, visitors find it worthwhile due to the consistently beautiful garden and amazing fields.
Awesome place to visit Tulips every year, almost 75% of flowers are bloomed. We went on Friday evening to view the flowers in the sunset and it didn't disappoint. What a colorful display it was with flowers in almost all colors. Crowd was less compared to day time, lot of parking spaces and restrooms maintained as usual. It was very cold in the evening, particularly after sunset, so wear proper clothing. Seems less area covered this year may be due to Covid effect but still worth visiting the place.

Pretty spectacular grounds with tens of millions of tulips, daffodils, and other flowers. The concessions are expensive (as you’d expect), but you’re allowed to bring your own food and drinks. There are plenty of portable toilets and hand washing stations. Try to arrive just before it opens so you can be ready to enter right away. It will get crowded quickly.
Bret Warren — Google review
Visited on very cold, rainy, windy Monday morning and despite that the flowers were super beautiful, and as a bonus the crowds were reduced (but amazingly a lot of people starting showing up by 11:00 AM). Displays and fields are indeed nice. If you are on a budget, you can see a lot from the little parking lot just outside the fence, but paying the admission is probably worth it. Soil is well drained (tulips right?) so still could walk around in the rain. All good, except was dumbfounded that none of the tulips are labeled as to type. Would seem an easy add for them to do that, I don’t get why there needs to be a secret about what tulip is what type? Unbelievable given we were there to decide what tulips we liked best for future bulb purchases for our own garden (vs relying on photos in a catalog). So, total failure there and we will order/buy our hundreds of bulbs elsewhere since these folks don’t care to help in that way. Really unwise on their part in my view. Also, there was zero info posted or otherwise about how they run the business of growing tulips, would have expected that but I guess most visitors just want their quick photo for social media versus some insight into the tulip business etc. Part of the dumbing down of America I guess. There was a single helpful poster on the bulb cycle. Anyways we had fun, and can buy tulips elsewhere.

Free parking! A huge selection of variety of Tulips! Gorgeous displays! A beautiful garden with a colourful and unique design 😍😍
Today was a very busy weekend there but we were impressed with how well the traffic was directed into the parking lot and the food stand ( behind the garden) was very efficient. They were definitely prepared for the crowd.
We have enjoyed visiting he tulip fields & the Roozengaarde for over 30 years... This was one of the busiest weekends we had ever visited!
Shirin Sherkat — Google review
Went on a Saturday and the weather was extremely nice which is great and all but with those two factors it meant traffic everywhere and lots of people. There’s lots of tulips to look at and take photos. You can purchase your ticket online or pay when you get there $15/per person. They do take cash or card. They do have food you can purchase or you can bring your own food. There is free parking but I was impatient so I paid $10 (cash only) to park at the fire station which wasn’t too bad and the walk to the entrance isn’t bad.

We visited Roozengaarde today and had a positive experience! Tickets were $15 each and included parking. On site there were hamburgers, coffee, and fudge available for purchase. The honey buckets were the cleanest I’ve ever been in. We had so much fun and took beautiful photos in the tulip and daffodil fields. It’s amazing how intricately the flowers were planted and designed. When you visit, please do not walk between the rows of flowers and stay on the main path. We saw many people breaking the rules for a photo but do not be those people. Respect the farmers who allow us to visit their flower fields.

The tulip festival is a beautiful place to be and so peaceful! I recommend going on a week day and getting there right when it opens to avoid the crowds. We got there right at 9 am and it was delightful and stunning. We went the first weekend so not all the tulips were in bloom but most were. This coming week I’m sure they will be! I hadn’t been in 10 years and I went to Roozegaarde both times. It didn’t not disappoint. Beautiful surroundings and if you go on clear day you’ll see the mountains peak out. The staff is great inside the store and of course you need to buy some tulips to display at home. Grab some hot tea, coffee and fudge. Can’t miss out on that fudge!

Beautiful place in the spring to see outstretched fields of blooming tulips as well as garden areas planted in various arrangements. It's a photographer's delight, but prepare for the massive crowds. We went on Easter Day, and we had to park a half mile away and walk in, despite our tickets including free parking. There were massive crowds. Little ones around the crowds were losing strength as parents were trying to get the perfect Easter photos. It will definitely wear your legs out walking from parking zone to the far reaches of the fields, but the photos are beautiful!

What a beautiful place. The garden is full of colourful tulips and other flowers. It is very well maintained and a must visit place if you live near seattle. And town in itself is cute and has many lovely eateries.

We've been coming here since 2002. We began a family tradition and only have missed a few times over the past 21 years. Roozengaarde's admission has increased over that period of time, but it's still worth it. Their garden is always beautiful and the fields can be amazing. If you're patient, you will see a full garden. Unfortunately, nature dictates the bloom schedule every year. The staff is always in a great mood. They have coffee, kettle corn, hot dogs for the kiddos. Great photo ops all around!
William Case — Google review
It's was a beautiful field of tulips 🌷 but somehow it was smaller then anticipated from what I saw on their Instagram. Good to note: You are not allowed to walk between any of the rows! There are lots of cute place for photos, benches, swing & a huge rainbow background. Staff is very friendly, gift shop prices are outrageous .

The Skagit tulip festival never disappoints! There’s no way to beat the crowds at this, the largest garden of the festival, but don’t let that deter you. Take your time walking around all the fields of gorgeous flowers at various stages of blooming. The colors are magical, the people working, there are always friendly, and if you love, flowers and nature, you’ll be in good company with everyone else who’s come to appreciate the beauty as well.

It was a picture perfect day. The tulips were all colors and fields of yellow daffodils were fantastic. Families out enjoying the gardens! Highly recommended!

We visited on the weekend (tickets were $10 each, which is cheaper than what the website says). The grounds are well maintained, and surprisingly not too crowded.
Most of the daffodil fields are in bloom and some tulip ones too. Everything is spread out enough that you can find a quiet corner if you want. They also have a llama pen, which is adorable!

This is THE place to see tulips during bloom time. Come early before April 1st, and on a sunny day if you can. This place is gorgeous and their field is huge, packed with rows and rows of very dense, colorful and well organized tulips. When you see tulip fields in tourist brochures, it’s likely from this place. The flowers are also very reasonably priced if you want to buy a few bunches to take home ($7 per bunch, 5 for $30).

I have been here several times. First weekend in April was great this year. There are usually tulips and or daffodils throughout the festival. They have organized things very well. Don't be those people wearing shoes that shouldn't go in mud. They do a great job with the paths, but it's still the pnw. Plan about 2 hours.

Whatcom Falls Park is a scenic city park located in the hills, featuring waterfalls, gardens, trails, a fishing pond, and a playground. It's an ideal place for families to visit and enjoy nature. The park has public washrooms and a small playground near the parking lot. Visitors can take short hikes along relaxing trails surrounded by trees. Although it may not be as expansive as some parks, its beauty makes it worthwhile to visit.
A lovely park with an ancient bridge and beautiful waterfalls. Short and light (there are stairs at some point so not suitable for a baby stroller). Near the parking lot there are public washrooms and small playground. Highly recommended.

06/24/23: I had some downtime walking, running, and climbing in this beautiful park. The parking is enormous, and there is no need for Discover Pass
The park itself is large, with clear arrows for directions and tons of things to discover. The most impressive thing that stuck to my mind is the gorgeous waterfall at the entrance. Lovely park with relaxing and calming nature inside it

A park with a waterfall. A short calm hike. A few parking lots. Whatcom waterfall There are not many views it’s more a walk under the trees. Few small lakes. Convenient short walk to the whatcom lake beach nearby if you want to go to the “real beach”. Some amenities. Quite convenient place for a short hike

Beautiful place for a more challenging walk/hike. Most of the trails were pretty narrow and a little muddy(we went in December). A few of them required a more adventurous disposition than I had that day and I didn't wear the best shoes. I have been told that the falls are much more full rapid flowing if you visit in the spring when the mountain snow melt flows down. I think it's fantastic any time of year. Visited December 2018

A very serene area where the falls are flowing.
Loved the peace and calm there.
Just after a very short hike up the falls you will find another small falls - we saw lot of young people playing, bathing and swimming there - looked fun but I think i read no swimming in falls somewhere in the park so not sure if this was allowed.
The small playground is nice for less then 4 years old kids.

There are different swimming areas which we loved. Water is a bit cold but refreshing!
You can continue the walk through the park and reach the Bloedel Donavan Park, which I highly recommend!
This entire walk takes a total of 1.5 hours to complete. Easy!

This is not the closest parking area for viewing the falls. If you want to see the falls and not walk far, use directions for Whatcom Creek Park.
That being said it’s still a nice shady walk to the falls from here. The whole park is huge with lots of trails.
Lots of people swimming in the creek, I was surprised how inviting the water looked. Still we never figured out a way to get down there that didn’t freak me out because it’s a steep jump and a long fall if you are not careful.

Beautiful park and easy trails! Terrible experience with a guy from parks and rec who slammed on the door and yelled at my girlfriend while she was using the public and unlocked restroom at the park. I can't believe I've never taken the time to visit and explore Fort Langley. Full of historical buildings and exhibits outlining the history of European settlement, the Hudsons Bay company and the relevance of Fort Langley to the story. A fascinating place to visit for a few hours

Because I had my dog, we couldn't visit the fort, but that's not a problem. This village is a feast for all five senses. A great place to see vintage vehicles, and lots of antique shops. We visited the old rail station, which was a favorite of the grandkids, then crossed the bridge and wandered along the Fraser River's edge. Fort Langley is always busy on weekends, but when we visited on Labour Day, it was not bad at all. We lunched at the bistro under the pub, enjoying their peppery calamari while sitting outside at one of their beautifully appointed outdoor booths. A very pleasant day!

This is impressive considering that the site is under 200 years old on a compact site. The staff are all friendly and they will share their knowledge of the site and how the Hudson Bay Company did business and learned to integrate into the community.
It is a great choice to take kids as there is onbly one main entrance / exit (no wandering off) there is a playroom building dedicated for kids. The bathrooms are clean and well serviced. Parking lot access is good.
We went during a rainstorm, and it is not hard to image how the people lived in the wet, westcoast weather. Even with the rain, there were about 30 visitors on site. If you are visiting during clear and warm weather, I can imagine the site being very busy, so I would recommend buying tickets in advance.

The thing that makes Fort Langley is the enthusiasm and erudition of the docents who bring this place alive. On our visit we met an 80 year old man who had the most phenomenal memory who held us spell-bound while he told us his story - and the story of the Fort. But the laurel wreath award goes to the chatty blacksmith who absolutely brilliant and shows you how hand eye coordination improves with practice and cannot be replicated any other way and who can turn a few cms of iron bar into a nail in seconds. We were early, so all I wanted to do was use the washroom - which is before you have to pay for admission - we would of course return after lunch - and I had a very informative exchange with the guy selling tickets. Parks Canada has done its amazing magic (see Dawson City if you don't believe me) in bringing a collection of historical buildings to life. Every schoolchild in the lower mainland gets to go to Fort Langley. If you haven't been yet you should go now.

Golden Ears Provincial Park is a sprawling outdoor recreation area located just an hour away from downtown Vancouver. It boasts a massive lake that offers a variety of aquatic activities, and is also home to three different campgrounds and numerous hiking trails. The park is renowned for its scenic trails and ample parking space, making it an ideal destination for hikers, trail runners, walkers and picnic-goers alike. Additionally, boat/kayak rentals are available during the summer months.
One of the better parks around, some of the best trails/hikes around. Ample parking for all your friends and then some. Trail runners and walkers enjoy the multitude of trails all around. Ideal weather is a dry 20+ degree day, but even on a 7 degree late winter day was nice, especially with all the picnic tables available. Boat/kayak rentals in the summer also make it a nice day out

I have now been here twice with different friends this summer. Day pass was required to enter certain parts of the park due to peak visitor season, so it's completely understandable. The pass is free and easy to get online. The park staff checking passes are efficient and friendly (and probably tired of some people's attitudes - be kind, they're awesome people).
The first hike was on one of the more challenging ones, the Lake Viewpoint Trail, which lead to a view that was once grand but now is a bit overgrown and difficult to see the lake. Absolutely still worth the hike, let me tell you. Beautiful canopy covered trail, that snakes up and down a fairly steep mountainside. (First 5 photos are of this hike).
The second hike was a much more relaxed and long walk at the Lower Falls trail, which let to many stunning spots along the river. The wide gravel trail (watch your step for large rocks poking out!) is stroller and wagon friendly, so taking the tiny humans along is easy enough. Lots of large families going in and out. As the trail progresses it gets more narrow, but is still wide enough to drive a small car through (though seriously do not). The falls itself is quite beautiful with the potential to be mesmerizing to the senses.
(The last 10 photos are of this hike.)

We have been trying short walks with our dog. In Golden ears we have tried the Gold Creek Falls trail which is extremely accessible stroller not a problem. Our most recent was the trail around Mike Lake. On this trip it was after an entire day of steady rain. Clean clear water was flowing every where. There was one spot where the water accumulated and the paths available were limited and mostly swamped. Humans did OK. Dog required a bath. Of the 2 the Gold Creek trail was the most beautiful landscape and the Mike Lake the most like real hiking.

It was my first time camping. I went there with my friend who booked camp site . The grounds are big enough for 2 trucks although you have to pay. $12 for second one and we set up 6 tents large size with 3 canopy. Fire is still not allowed but you can use propane fire pit . The walk is very less to lake and views are splendid. Don’t leave food outside unattended . Don’t keep food inside tent at any time . They had flush toilet n clean water tap but night time it’s dark so really good to keep torch flashlight on you after sunset .

This is for the south beach and trail area. The waterfront lake here has many picnic benches that will fill up quickly during the warmer season. Come here early if you want to use one. A lot of park goers BBQ, play ball games, canoe or kayak and enjoy time with friends and family. There are plenty of parking that if the first set of parking space is unavailable, the second set will have your back. The trails in this area is quiet, legible and peaceful. In busy seasons, the washrooms can get full to the point where you have to wait in line or use the outhouses. There is a fountain right in front of the public washrooms for drinking water, not for cleaning activities.

Golden Ears is one of the largest parks in BC spanning more than 150K acres and hosts a large number of hiking, cycling and horse riding trails. Each trail offers unique and beautiful sights of snow-capped mountains, lake, waterfalls, stream of snow melt water, lush green vegetation and beaches.
There are camping sites available here but you need to reserve them well in advance as they are very popular. The parking here is also quite limited and if you want to park near the entrance of trails, you need to get here early in the morning. As the day progresses, you may need to park by the roadside.
Do note that there is no phone reception here. So, plan your visit accordingly and download offline maps before heading to this park. That said, there's probably no better place near Vancouver to disconnect from everyday life and enjoy the bounty of natural beauty this park offers.

The hiking trails in this park are perfect for a good workout. The terrain is a mix of loose pebbles and packed earth and is fairly well maintained. The entire trail is well shaded and is a perfect place to escape the mid day sun.

Lots of campgrounds and amazing experience for camping off the grid since no cellphone reception at the gold creek campgrounds. Sign for bear in area were up everywhere and so it's important to follow park rules and safely dispose garbage promptly. Loved the overall experience and the hot showers made sure we stayed clean through out our camping trip. Park doesn't have fire pits for rental so please bring your own Propane firepita during fireban.

I really enjoyed camping here. Nice to have such a great place so close to home. The spots are private. I appreciated how well patrolled it is. Each campground has its own beach area separate from the other campgrounds and day users

One of my favourites campsites, again freaking hard to get spot on weekends………. The place is always quiet and clean and the campground size just bigger enough for two tents ⛺️ and a tiny one for dog. I enjoyed the water in the lake even though it’s always cold 🥶. Shower is good, it’s warm not hot which I personally prefer hot shower…….only downside is you ain’t get no signal here , which is kinda good no phones no internet, just chills and enjoy camping.

Beautiful place! We went in January, it went to sunny to a snowstorm in 15 minutes so be careful and prepared! This place is probably amazing during summer time!

Beautiful place with mountains and wide lake. Great for boating and picnicking! We saw lots of family gatherings. There is a boat launch on the west.

Couldn't get to north beach since the road is closed and I didn't want to walk extra, but south beach is still beautiful. Road is closed right after west canyon parking lot. You can still park at west canyon (Jan 26). Flush toilets are also closed for winter, but you can still use the pit toilets.

Park featuring a lake, a walking path, playgrounds, a spray park, a floating boardwalk & more.
Nice little park, can get a bit crowded on sunny days. But great for a 25-45 min walk around the lake. Lots of ducks, a cute little art gallery, a few cool playgrounds, lots of dog spottings 😉

The park is beautiful, well maintained and has a lot of nature. It is family and pet friendly. It has public bathrooms. It is a good place to practice many different sports including jogging and running. Also good for a picnic or to enjoy good time outside with family, pets and friends. The only thing preventing it to be 5 stars is that it does not have lights enough to enjoy it when it is dark.

Beautiful park with a 2.5 km looped walking trail around the lake. You can see Mt Baker in the distance and there are benches and picnic tables around the park where you can sit and enjoy the view. There are parking lots scattered in different parts of the park and a big playground for kids next to each lot. Very clean and close to residential neighbourhoods. This is a beautiful park to visit for families, friends, and lovers.

Awesome, Beautiful, full of Sounds from Nature, Kids and the Lake. Very soothing to the Soul. I have built memories of my mum and it's special to my ❤️ Tip : Parking
If you can't find parking , park at the back of the mall and cut across the trees , a minute walk to the park. Thank me later

Beautiful place, with paved walkway all the way around the lake, there are three different kids toy areas at every entrance. Lots of benches by the water to sit on the walk around, few boardwalks that go out onto the water. Lots of canada geese, ducks and turtles. It takes roughly 15 minutes to walk around, gorgeous lake & park. Also beautiful walk in the winter when the fog, and snow are out with the lake all frozen.💯

Nice 45 minute walk around the lake. Dogs permitted on leash only. Kids parks, seating, picnic tables (some covered) garbage cans and restrooms around walkway. Beautiful large trees, lots of ducks and geese. A small wharf with seating by a small parking lot. Signs up for trails. Two trails...1 is paved and the other is parallel closer to the lakes edge covered in bark mulch. Not safe to walk in the dark but safe during the day as other walkers of all ages are walking the trail. Lake is not for swimming but you can do some fishing. Large water feature in the middle of the lake. No place to grab food or drink along the trail.
Nice place to walk (preferably not alone)

It's beautiful here. I love our lake in the middle of town. All the ducks and geese, lily pads and fish. I enjoy the walk all the way around, and thank you, Abbotsford, for finally putting in a fountain. Now let's get some colored lights for at night 🌙

Fairly nice park with pretty views. Paths are paved. Lots of parks along the loop, with playgrounds, washrooms, benches, and parking. Also a place to fish aswell as a boat ramp. Expect to see lots of ducks, birds and squirrels.
Sadly a lot of homeless hanging out and camping in the area. Was approached multiple times while walking the loop which made me a bit uncomfortable as a young woman. Maybe not the best place to walk alone.

This is a great place to hang out with friends and family on a nice sunny day. Me and my husband usually come here for an after dinner walk. We love how relaxed and serene the atmosphere here. Bicycles are allowed here, pets on a leash are allowed except by the playground area. Washrooms are available and picnic tables are all over the place as well as benches. It’s a good 30-45 minute walk if you do the full circle. I like the bridge area the most especially during sunset. Also, I have seen a few men fishing by the dock and I have asked them what fishes are usually caught and they said it’s mostly trouts here. So, if you like to fish you can try it here. A lot of geese all over the place so watch out for land mines! Lol! Parking may be a challenge during peak hours. This place is friendly to all ages, wheelchair and stroller accessible!

Lots of parking spots available.
Clayburn Village Store is a charming attraction in Abbotsford, situated at the base of Sumas Mountain. Established in 1905, it was the first company town in British Columbia and offered various amenities to its employees. The village boasts several museums and cultural sites nearby. Visitors often stop by for a break during road trips and are delighted by the store's offerings. The shop provides an array of delicious treats, including homemade sausage rolls and nostalgic candies.
If you want candy or other great unique finds, this is the place to go! They have so many rare old candies and unique treats from back when we were kids. So much to look at being a heritage building, will definitely be back for ice cream when the weather gets warm.

Stopped here as a leg stretch before our road trip and this place did not disappoint. Family road trip, all of us adults, and we spent almost an hour perusing the delicious treats, reminiscing about candies from day of yore. My brother devoured one of their homemade sausage rolls (which he said was so good) and we picked up a bag full of sweet goodies to keep us entertained for the next week. Everyone in the store was really nice, helpful – and the place was well organized, fully stocked and neat as a pin. Great way to start our family vacation!

Fantastic place for frozen yogurt! Your choice of frozen fruit is mixed in with the yogurt and it is so tasty and refreshing. The Cultus Lake Waterpark is a popular destination for families seeking water-based rides and activities. Great place with tons of awesome slides, pools and spray areas. All kids of all ages love it here and everyone is happy all day. Attentive life guards. Cultus Lake Waterpark is a fantastic place for families with kids, as my recent visit with my 6 and 11-year-olds proved. The park offers a wide array of water slides and attractions that kept my kids entertained for hours. From thrilling slides to the lazy river, there was something for everyone.
The only downside we experienced was the park's policy against bringing in our own BBQ. While we understand the need for safety and cleanliness, it would have been nice to have the option to cook our own food, especially for families with dietary restrictions or picky eaters. However, the park does have a variety of food options available for purchase, including snacks, drinks, and meals.
Overall, our experience at Cultus Lake Waterpark was fantastic. The kids had a blast, and we appreciated the park's commitment to safety and cleanliness. We would definitely recommend it to other families looking for a fun day out.
Pradip Ghimire — Google review
Really nice park and tons of attractions but absolutely not worth the price when attending with very young kids. There should be a lesser rate for toddlers and their parents.
Additionally, I was somewhat put off by the number of people wearing pants and long sleeve shirts on the slides and in all the pools. There just seemed to be more dirt, grass and floating debris in the pools, which I couldn’t help but think might be due to all of the fully clothed people, but I could be wrong.
Overall, I’ve had better experiences here in past years but maybe it was just an off day, the park has been kept up well with lots of new additions. Worth attending if you are okay with paying an arm and a leg.

Administration doesn’t care about its little visitors. My little daughter went off this slide and scraped her leg. Look where the child has to went off on this slide! A hard (like sandpaper) and uneven surface awaits the child below. Be careful!

My daughter likes this waterpark. We had a great day here.
Easy parking. Quick check in (We arrived 10.10 in the morning). $10 parking and $10 umbrella rent is acceptable. Great grass for rest with fresh air and great view. Grab&Go food is good.
Make sure you get everything you need before you leave your car. No return allowed.
One problem is it’s really overcrowded. We went there on Thursday. It’s beyond its capacity so that every slide has a very long line, especially in the afternoon.
Wei Sun — Google review
This park started in 1984. The facilities are in reasonable shape considering its age. There are slides/play areas tailored for each age/risk-tolerant group from toddler to seniors. Staffs are friendly and attentive to guests' safety. Bring your slippers with you when hitting the bathroom, which might be the one of the few weakness of the entire park. Hot tubes' sanitary might be the next. Park get crowded by 11am on a weekday in August, so can't imagine the busyness over weekends. Each ride's queue takes around 15 minutes. Scan the park to find the shortest line might save your some time. Portable tent is a must-have for hot days and for better privacy. Rental umbrella easily knocked down by wind. Cargo cart is prevailing in the park and essential if you carry lots of stuff with you, but the park thoughtfully offers a loading zone right in front of the entrance.

I have not been in this place for almost a decade! Went on a sunny day after a few days of camping. My family and friends and their kids had a blast here! The cabana we rented out is perfect for our big group. Love their tots are; great for my 14mos old, even for my almost 4yo kid as the water is warmer and very shallow. I should say that most of the rides are still there, from what i remember. The cabanas and shaded picnic tables are a big addition to this place. We will do one more trip before summer ends.
Pamela Esprit — Google review
The water park overall is very entertaining and has many attractions, however, even on weekdays the waiting time per each slide is around 30 minutes, there are also no large swimming pools for leisure swin.

Cultus Lake Waterpark is a splash hit for all ages! We went to the Waterpark on a Wednesday morning; it was overcast with light rain at the start and it was fantastic!
We arrived at 9:30 - about 30 min before it opened - and there were about 7 or 8 groups already in line. The queue area is covered and protects you from the rain or sun depending on the weather. The checkin process was quick with the longest being the bag and food check.
If you arrive early you can get a free covered picnic table to set your things out for the day. As the weather was crummy and we were there early there was no issue getting a spot.
The kids were able to have the run of the place for the first hour plus as it wasn’t too busy due to the weather and it being mid-week. There is a very wide selection of water slides to choose from, in size, twistiness, soakability, and scare factor; but regardless of which one you choose it is sure to be fun! The kid’s favourites were the Valley of Fear, Black Hole, and the Bazooka bowl! The slides are starting to show their age with some wear but it doesn’t detract from the fun.
The food is expensive and the quality is pretty meh. The best deal is obviously the ice cream with the portions being massive. You are probably fine getting a single as none of the kids could finish the double scoop they got.
Parking is $10 and you pay when you leave.
Overall Cultus Lake Waterpark is a great time, especially if you go on a rainy Wednesday! Otherwise I would definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance!!

Ridiculously poor. See photos.
Used diapers and trash in the parking lot should have served as a warning.
We arrived late and paid for reduced tickets at 1630. In the 2.5h we had, we managed 4 rides due to appalling queues and overcrowding.
We recognized this as soon as we were in the park and due to the long lines and horrifically long lines we immediately asked for a refund but we're declined because the staff onsite lack any authority to give one.
I first visited this place on the late 80s and had fond memories and was excited to bring me kids here. It looks like it's been left to rot since this time with flaky paint, stained slidesz rust, litter and more.
I'm fortunate enough to have visited many water parks in different countries inc. Austria, Spain and UAE. THIS WAS RHE WORST BY FAR.
Avoid it.
Greg Bullock — Google review
It's a damn good time....BUT....I kinda thought buying the tickets online would mean they limit entrance....nope...its frigging packed expect to wait 30 minutes at minimum for tube rides and 15 for body slides. One was over 45 min, and an hour by time you actually get out of the slide.
Lazy river was completely packed, same as pirate ship, kids pool/slides, you're tripping over people all day period.
The rules could use an update at canyon tube. 2 adults and 3 kids(450lbs maybe) can't go in a tube, but 4 250lbs adults can go just fine even though weight limit is 800lbs....don't make sense to me, rules are rules after all.
Overall it's fun, but do not expect to go anywhere fast.

This place is wonderful (even on a very gloomy and rainy day). The falls offer magnificent views and the roaring white water makes the day. The drive to the falls is through dense green vegetation.
There is ample parking space but the lack of conveniences would be missed.

Awesome falls, we went today to this falls, with the recent rain there is heavy flow in the river as well as in the falls, lot of gust from the falls. No rest rooms in the falls area, parking is limited but not much crowd as well. You can have top view of the falls, you can also go near the river which is under the bridge.

The falls are dramatic and a short drive off the main road. You follow a gravel, one lane road, for a short distance to a parking area. We visited mid-week and only saw a couple other people.
The signage to the falls is a bit before the turn, but the turn itself does not mention the falls (Wells Ck Rd).
Warning signs describe the danger of getting too close to the falls, and has a list some of those who have perished. It is a scary drop off on the other side of the fence.

Nice little falls, easy access for viewing, but it is dangerous outside of the designated areas. The gravel road to the falls is narrow, but has some pullouts. There is also a parking lot big enough for about a dozen cars (more if people park well).

Beautiful fall and river. There is overlook area which does not require a lot of hike. My parent 65+ could easily walk up to the viewing area. There is fence on the side of the fall for protection, however the river side is easily accessible.

Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park is a 32-hectare recreational area that offers a pleasant hiking trail leading to a waterfall. A viewing platform allows visitors to enjoy the stunning view of the waterfall, which provides therapeutic sounds and drops of water. The park also features picnic areas for relaxation and enjoyment. Beautiful, old forest trail hike to the spectacular falls. Well-maintained, short, easy, but fairly steep gravel walking path with helpful steps in certain areas. To and fro in 30 minutes - but add time for the many photo opportunities. Picnic tables, restrooms, and a fair-sized parking area makes for a perfect family day visit. Mossy limbs of the towering evergreens gives a magical feel to this park. Loved it! Enjoy!

Lovely short walk in the woods to arrive at the Bridal Veil Falls which is a gorgeous waterfall. Parking space was limited during the end of March as the main parking lot was not opened, so most cars parked on the side of the road. The walk to the falls is not difficult but it has a slight incline. Good place to stop by for the young and old. There is a gas station, diner, and campground nearby.

GOOORGEOUS waterfall!! :D
There's a bit of a "hike" to get there, around 10 mins, maybe, not tough at all. I was so excited to go there that I ran up the hills lol. It's a tiny bit steep, but the view you see along the way is very beautiful!! the falls are so pretty in the sunlight, so I think it's best to go in the afternoon (that's the time I went, and that's the time the sun hits it prettily)

What a beautiful, amazing and spectacular waterfall.
It's literally a 2 minute drive off the highway. If you have 30 minutes to spare make sure you stop in here. Its a 15 minute hike through the forest, mostly uphill. The climb to the very bottom of the water is a little intense. The summer months are usually packed with tourists. But on this beautiful fall day we had the falls all to ourselves!

Visiting here was an awe-inspiring journey into nature's grandeur. The cascading waters, a mesmerizing blend of power and tranquility, danced down the rocky cliffs, creating a breathtaking spectacle. The sheer force of the falls produced a symphony of sound that resonated through the surrounding landscape. The lush greenery and misty veil around the waterfall created a serene and almost mystical atmosphere. It was a truly enchanting experience, leaving an indelible mark of nature's magnificence.

This had an amazing view of the waterfalls. There was lots of space at the bottom for photos as well as a gate to stop people from going too far in and destroying the natural beauty (even though there were a few people going past it!).
There were also a couple of trail options so you could go one way and come back another, which was excellent.
James Stewart — Google review
Loved that the hike was pretty short and easy even with a toddler. You can get to the lower part of the falls within 15 minutes with a slow to moderate speed. It's mostly flat to small incline.
Going to the upper part for a better requires a further 3-4 minute hike which is much more steep and not recommended with kids.
Zaayer Nasib — Google review
Bridal Veil Falls is simply a breathtaking natural wonder! I must say that it was an experience that left me rejuvenated and de-stressed. One of the things that struck me about Bridal Veil Falls is its accessibility, I have a bad leg so every time we go for a hike I would prefer a trail or hike that is easy or at least not too steep and this is one was perfect as the trail leading to the falls was just about 10-15 minutes, a little bit uphill but not too bad, the trails are well kept and easy to navigate, definitely a hike for all ages and fitness levels. The beauty of the waterfall will not disappoint, the whole experience is a perfect blend of adventure and serenity. Try to choose non peak hours though otherwise it may be difficult to park. It’s also best to go on a sunny day as trails can get slippery especially if you try to climb up right at the top. There are outhouses right before you start the hike. Make sure you have a camera or a full battery on your phone because you will definitely be taking lots of photos!

These falls are a can't miss free attraction located along highway 1 not far from Agassi and Harrison Hot Springs.
The perfect place to take a small driving break and enjoy the wonders of nature at its finest.
The parking area is a small one way loop type area with some spaces for cars and tour busses, so you should be aware it can be very busy especially during the summer months.
Outhouse style washrooms are located just off of the parking area as well as picnic areas before you enter the trail. The hiking trail is not difficult and splits into two branches, either trail will take you to the base of the falls.
The hike itself is perhaps 10 mins and easy with a slight grade in some places but very manageable for pretty much everybody in your family.
It is highly discouraged to go past the barriers at the foot of the falls, and you will see a bright yellow warning sign advising you not to cross the barrier, however you will immediately notice a large percentage of people climbing past the barrier to scrabble up the hill to get closer to the falls (I did), but be warned ⚠️ It is a steep incline, it's wet and muddy and very slippery with any number of tripping hazards and very sharp rocks and boulders, climbing this you are risking injury and death from a fall.
That being said if you take the risk, the view is amazing.

Beautiful fall like the bridal dress. Hence the name of course. A bit of a walk upwards so be careful of someone elderly or someone with a knee problem. It's not gonna be pretty. But if you do make it to the fall it is worth the walk. It's a nicely arranged flow of water by nature. So beautiful.

It’s a good hiking trail, the Bridal Veil Falls is beautiful! The glacier water is chilling but it feels good to dip your hands and feet in after an amount of hiking, totally cool you down. But I wouldn’t recommend pple to drink the water there unless you brought a filter or you bring home and filter it yourself.

Another beautiful waterfall that I can check off the list…. Easy hike to the falls kid and dog friendly I love how you can right up close to the falls. The sounds and smells of natures beauty is so calming

We stopped by at Bridal Veil Falls before heading to Harrison Hot Springs. I just love the place 😍. I love it in 2004 and I still love it now. It's an amazing provincial park. You feel the calmness in the area.

15 minute hike at a slight incline to the falls, wear good shoes, if you'd like to hike UP beside the waterfall be cautious and have proper footwear, it can be wet and slippery. Lots of bathrooms and a few picnic tables, not TONS of parking but a good stop along the way to somewhere not really impressive enough for a main event.

Great quick little hike to stretch your legs on long road trips. Right off highway, picnic spots available, trail easy for all ages and abilities, lush green along and beautiful falls at the top. A must see

The falls is beautiful. No parking lot, ppl have to park along the street to the entrance. There were 6 washrooms but 5 were closed, the only 1 left was very dirty. Easy short walk to the falls, worth a visit.
Located an hour and 45 minute drive from Vancouver, the Othello Tunnels are a stunning hiking destination featuring railway tunnels carved through a granite mountain in the early 1900s. Though currently closed for renovations due to flood damage, this picturesque site is well worth the visit when it reopens. The surrounding drive offers beautiful scenery, including a stop in Chilliwack known for their locally produced honey.
We went here last fall season and there is not much people walking and there is a lot of parking space.
We also experience visiting this place in summer season and the parking lot is so full and need to wait to get a parking.
There is a washroom in the entrance of the trail.
Overall this trail park is good for kids and old people cause its flat.
Adette Balot — Google review
The park is closed for 2022. We went anyway. Absolutely no work had been done so far to repair the damage caused by a flood. It's mostly going to stay closed for quite a while.
It's beautiful, it's grandiose and it's scary. Loved it.
Sebastien Caron — Google review
Hoping that these reopen soon. During the floods in November 2021 they were badly damaged and there hasn't been an update since. Normally they are closed during the winter season so it will soon be 2 years that they are "temporarily closed".
Originally rail tunnels, you can walk from the Othello parking lot into Hope. GPS does fail when you are looking for these tunnels so keep an eye on the signs, don't trust just GPS. They also get super busy so the earlier in the day that you can go, the better. Especially since they got "Instagram worthy" status so most people will only walk to the last tunnel then turn around but there are a few hikes past them, one has a historic marker that goes up and over the mountain.
Female Abroad — Google review
By far one of the best places to see around Vancouver. It's an hour and 45 mins drive from our place but it's absolutely worth it. It's sad to see the destruction caused by the floods. I believe it's currently closed because it's getting some renovations done and it won't be opening any time soon but can't recommend it enough whenever it opens back up. One of the most beautiful places to see around Vancouver and the drive is great as well. You can stop by in Chilliwack on the way to pick up some honey, they are famous for it.

What a great place to get out and stretch my legs after getting off the island. Parking was a bit touch and go but I was able to get a sweet spot up front. The walk to the tunnels was pretty flat so most people should be able to do it. Just happened to be a beautiful day so the water looked this amazingly blue/green color. Walking over the bridges and checking out the water down below was breathtaking. Highly recommended for all ages and worth the visit. I will be back again on my next pass through..

Well maintained and beautiful nature surrounding along with the trail. I walked though all of the rocky tunnels. Some of them were dark, had to bring out the flashlight. Highly recommended to visit this cool feature.

Beautiful and busy hiking destination! The tunnels were fun to go through and the canyon and the river were very scenic. Hopefully it will reopen soon!

It was my first best experience. We went to tunnel from kettle valley side which is a long walk until you reach the tunnel but with mesmerizing views n forest walk. Once you reach the tunnel you will see the gates closed but all the people including us trespassed through gate and from that point best part start. It’s 4 tunnels in total with great view at the end n between the tunnels. Make sure to carry torch as tunnels are dark although flashlight will work too but torches will be best. They r open go visit before rain I was there on may 1, 2022

Very interesting place to explore on a weekend. Bring your kids and enjoy the walk in tunnels
You will see lots of scenic views.
It is about 30 minutes walk to get to end of 4 tunnels including photo shooting stops.
Tunnels are constructed in early 1900 for Pacific train. The last tunnel shows 1951 on concrete.
Pro tip is to get to the River and place your bare foot and relax.
Parking lot is not good at all and obviously not enough for the demand. Most probably you will end up to park your car on road side like everyone else. It should be about 6-7 minutes walk to the park gate
Mohammadreza Behnejad — Google review
Beautiful, really worth a visit, very interesting. I haven’t seen signs telling facts about it though. Lots of people so I’m guessing peak hours on weekends are probably a bit chaotic since parking is quite limited. Went on a late Sunday afternoon and was fine. More shots & videos at @maluzizz.

Beautiful place to have a little walk through incredibly beautiful Rocky Tunnels. There is a gorgeous river running under the bridges that conform the tunnel. To be fair the pictures make no justice to what you will live there.
The only downside is that it is usually closed during rainy season, which in BC is all year.

Amazing views once you start walking through the tunnel. Walk is around a km, but its all worth the effort. The view of the Coquihalla canyon is extremely picturesque and breadth taking with blue waters. Some picnic tables also available.

We went here in fall time 2019 and I remember it was thanksgiving day and we had a big discount on the ticket like we pay $5 per person.
Then the cool part is we are inside the gondola while heading back to the main entrance we need to throw the pumpkin in the window in the ground.
It was nice weather to see the fall color of the tree..
There is a Ice cream store and souvenirs store too.
It was a good experience.

Surprisingly there was more to this just the tram ride! Of course the scenery is spectacular and the views everywhere are breathtaking! There's also some interesting history, some cool educational experiences and 3 great films to watch. There's a great candy shop, a restaurant with great soups and of course a fully stocked gift shop!
Staff were very friendly!
The suspension bridge can be intimidating! Was very windy on the bridge when we visited in June 2022.
It's worth checking out!

This is one great place and history sites to visit.
There are many information about the Simon Fraser River and the six Salmon species.
There is also a cinema where you can watch three historic films about the origin and details of those species.
Do not forget about the restaurant to do some lunch or enjoy one of the best soups I had ever eaten: Salmon Chowder. 🍜
There are plenty parking slot on the front.
Washrooms cleaned and available.
Our crew team are very nice and attentive, congratulations to everyone.
There is a store inside where you can buy many things and another ice cream shop and chocolate bars.
I really recommend this place.

They let us take our dog on the tram! That was an amazing surprise. What an incredible place. Friendly staff, good ice cream, water for puppy, a great bridge to see the river from (not recommended for pups - it's a grated bridge). Would do this again in a heartbeat.

What a great time we had here. The gondola ride down to the main viewing area was smooth and quick, and once down there was plenty to see and read about the rock slide and the area's history. The views are spectacular and walking the metal bridge across the canyon was a thrill - that not all could do!

Loved the experience at Hell’s Gate. Its a short but steep gondola ride to the other side of the river. Once you cross over, you can visit the gift shop, museum, experience gold panning , enjoy the fudge shop or you can simply sit and enjoy the view of the river and the canyon.
There are washrooms available. The staff is very courteous. It took us 2hrs to reach Hells Gate from Vancouver. We went on a sunday and it was not all that busy. It closes for the season in 1st week of October and will reopen in May.

Gorgeous place to visit on your way somewhere or even just as a day trip! Lots of interesting things to see although one of the museum's was closed the day we went. Could easily spend 4-5 hours there. Also, buy the fudge. All the fudge. I only purchased 3 flavours and can't justify the cost of the ticket to go get more!

My recent visit to Hell's Gate was truly an experience I won't soon forget, thanks in part to the use of the Airtram. Hell's Gate offers a unique combination of breathtaking natural beauty and adventurous activities, including this exciting cable car.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff who warmly welcomed me and provided me with all the necessary information. The airtram is a cable car that takes you on a spectacular ride over the park, offering unparalleled panoramic views of Hell's Gate's stunning landscapes. It was a fantastic way to gain a bird's-eye perspective and admire the vast plains, deep gorges, and towering rock formations from above.

Nice history explanation and breath taking views of Fraser river. There is also suspension bridge to have nice pictures and enjoy. There are different viewpoint, little museum, a restaurant, a ice cream shop and a shop. Unfortunately, restaurant. Was closed due to water supply. We had ice-cream. While the location is amazing, I want to give a shout out to the staff. Yesterday saw a power outage that shut down the attraction with us at the bottom of the tram. When it first went out, an employee actually dug into her purse and paid for my bottle of water. Says a lot of the character of employees they hire as I can’t see it being a lucrative job. As it became apparent it wasn’t to be a short outage, the team went into their action plan on lowering the stranded trams and ensuring customer comfort. I learned a fair bit about the safety and maintenance that goes on a daily basis there and left with full confidence on how this place is run. Shuttles were sent down to pick up customers to return them to the top and good thing as I’d probably die if I had to hike it.😅
The only disappointment was the power killing the opportunity to get shirts from the gift shop but that’s the price we pay for not carrying cash. So in short to all the staff there, you guys are amazing!!

Nice tram ride and view. More history here than I thought. We were lucky enough to be on the other side when an extremely long train came through and were able to watch it snake it’s way along the side of the cliff and water. Great information on salmon & the design and build of what we now use as a tourist attraction.

McArthur Island Park is a beautiful green space in the city with amenities like baseball and soccer fields, a 3-km loop path by the river, and a skate park. This park offers great opportunities for walking or biking as it has many places to rest and enjoy nature. The park is also home to friendly squirrels that visitors can encounter while sitting down.
My favorite place for my daily walks!

Went to Kamloops Gem Show that was held at the Sports Arena this month. After the show I decided to walked through the grounds in MacArthur Park on the way out.
They are very well maintained....beautiful green lawns and huge weeping birches with other variety of plants & seasonal flowers. Went to Xeriscape Garden, which is a lovely garden that offers a quiet space to sit and enjoy the tranquility of nature and is near the walking path.
The park itself is covers a vast area with walking trails thst encompass the whole park & along the west side, too.
Wildlife abounds in the park from squirrels, golden marmot, geese families, bear, many deer & bird species, occasionally cougars, and coyotes. It's a beautiful place to spend the afternoon or have a picnic.

Really nice park to walk or bike. I use to live very close to this park so I visited it frequently. Animals, running water, greenery, people... It had many places to stop and rest. The squirrels in this park are very nice! When I would sit down most of the time I'd have a squirrel appear in my lap lol I loved it! This park has a bit of everything.

Extremely well maintained. Lots of soccer fields baseball diamonds paved Pathway to walk the perimeter of the entire park. Even in a wheelchair.
Dogs are not allowed fortunately or unfortunately depending upon your viewpoint.
Lots of trees and vegetative growth. Is Not Unusual to see deer grazing near the paved path. You can literally walk past them and they will not run away a lot of the time.
There are also a lot of river views along the path. Marmots are also quite common and curious along the path. Benches with views of the river are scattered along the path as well.
Individuals Jog and families walk and ride bikes around the park. People are friendly and usually wave hello as you pass them going the other way. We love it!
Yes I almost forgot! There is a former 9-hole golf course that has been converted to a Frisbee Golf Course. And it is free. As well as a little mini golf course that is quite well maintained not fancy but fun. And it is also free. Bring your own balls in your own putter. Enjoy!

The park is very beautiful. The children's playground and facilities are amazing. The game types are unique and fun. Unlike other places, I was surprised by the disciplined behavior of the children. What saddened me the most in this place was that I saw adults smoking cigarettes irresponsibly among many children. It is appropriate for the park staff to follow up and stop such behavior. Apart from this, the management and cleanliness of the park is also unique.

The BC Wildlife Park is a vast animal rehabilitation and zoo facility that houses various animals indigenous to the area, such as arctic wolves and grizzly bears. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Kamloops Lake, go bird watching or hiking in Salmon Arm. The wildlife park also features an impressive Wild Lights display showcasing illuminated dragons, arches and dinosaurs. Don't miss the train journey for just one dollar, where you might wonder how Santa and his reindeers stay atop the mountain.
I absolutely adore this park! The staff always radiate happiness and extend a warm welcome to visitors. The entire facility is meticulously maintained, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment. As for the animals, they appear genuinely content within their enclosures. The park's commitment to enrichment and providing cozy hiding spots truly stands out.
One of my favorite experiences is attending the delightful bird shows . The petting zoo boasts an impressive variety of animals, making it a must-visit.

I went here only for the wild lights and it was quite amazing to experience. Got some of my favorite pictures and could see very few animals. Beautiful train journey though. Always keep one dollar for the train. Wondered how they kept the Santa and reindeers on top of the mountain. Loved the detailing in that also to include Rudolph the RED NOSE REINDEER. Illuminated dragon was really good so was the arch and dinosaurs. Overall a great experience.

Good way to kill a day with the little ones. Bunch of different rescue animals to check out. Even got a train that does a couple loops of the park. Worst part was a cheeseburger I ordered that I'm pretty sure wasn't meat(it was grey and slimy and tasted like freezer burnt cardboard) It inevitably found its way to the garbage after 2 bites. So if you eat at the Cafe order the wraps and not the burgers.

Great place for kids and everyone to learn about the wildlife animals. Our kids loved all the exhibits. Since we were here on a hot August day, many of the animals were not out and visible. Visited this unique winery in a 5-day trip to Sun Peaks, Kamloops.
Its around 20 minutes out of Kamloops heading Salmon Arm.
From the very beginning, the entrance inspires with a feeling of a real farm. Driving for some minutes, you reach the parking surrounded by picturesque vineyards.
The testing center and restaurant reside side by side, overlooking vineyards.
🍇 You have 9 options to test for $6 and it will be refunded if you buy any wines.
1- Chardonnay Reserve (2018)- $24.99
2- Riesling (2019)- $19.99
3- Hands Up White (Box 2019)- $34.99
4- Sparkling Rosé (2019)- $21.99
5- Rosé (2018)- $18.99

My recommendations (my taste):
🥂2018 Chardonnay Reserve is unique as after drinking, it tastes in your mouth in 2 phases. First, like regular white wines, yet, after a while a second acidity taste bursts and you’ll enjoy it. I loved it and bought it.
🍾 2019 Hands up white would be one of your top choices which is a blend of three other wines. If the Box is available, its worth buying for a better price $44.99)
🍷 2019 Pinot Noir Reserve tastes awesome with wood taste at the end. As a big fan of Pinot Noir, you definitely try this.
🫐 Blueberry wine was my last option to buy and you can’t imagine how different it could be. I love the smooth taste.
🍷 2017 Foch is a must to test and even to buy. The taste is like no other.
Also, there are many accessories for anyone who is a wine-lover. Go through them and you’ll like many of them.
Restaurant atmosphere is special and you can see the vineyards while enjoying your food.

I make sure to stop into Monte Creek every time I am in the area. I have been impressed with their growth, both in terms of their facilities and in the quality of their wines. This family-friendly winery is spacious and the stunning scenery makes it a favourite location for weddings and other events.
In recent years they have put a big focus on sustainability and showing terroir in their wines.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Monte Creek offers a wide range of wines including some you have likely never tried before so you are sure to find several favourites. We left with a full mixed case.

Hosted my team's client appreciation party at Monte Creek Winery and it could not have been a better venue and a better event! I cannot show enough appreciation and gratitude for the team who helped make our event such a great success. All the new wines were available for tasting and the service and venue were next to none! Thanks again Monte Creek Winery!

Possibly my favourite winery & vibe on my trip so far. We got this up on the way back from our Kelowna/Vernon trip.
I would say competes with my favourite which was 50th parallel. Food was great here too. Best cob salad I’ve had in awhile

Lovely location, cute store and delicious wines. I don’t join wine clubs but this place had some very easy tasting wines that I’m excited to enjoy again!

We had a lovely wine tasting session at Monte Creek Winery which cost only $8 per person. We get to choose 4 wines to taste out of the list. Our host Mandy was wonderful and a great conversationalist. She gave us recommendations for the wines, shared more about her life and tried to know us better. Despite the wildfire smoke obscuring the view that many come for, our experience was made pleasant due to the enjoyable wine tasting in the company of Mandy!

Not only do I LOVE their wine, but I love the overall experience that Monte Creek provides. I've photographed weddings, I've enjoyed wine tastings and lunches. Monte Creek has wonderful staff and amazing wines.
If you are looking for an amazing venue to host your ceremony and reception, Monte Creek is spectacular!! Their Greenhouse space is amazing for ceremonies and receptions. I love photographing weddings here and cannot wait to come back again and again!!

Make sure to reserve your table in advance if you're visiting on the weekend. The food was good but the menu is limited, not too many options to order from. I recommend the spicy pepperoni. Best thing about this place is the view of the patio. Overall, it's a good experience.

The tasting experience was lovely, but there was a charge of $12.00 per person. If I had not purchased any wine, I would have no problem with that. I did spend $200.00 dollars and was still charged $48.00 for the four of us. So a little disappointed. We will not return, but will buy their lovely wine.

Gorgeous building with lots of parking, nice views, large room and a patio with a fireplace and a good menu of food. The charcuterie was delicious and staff were amazing and very friendly. Wine is great!

WOW! What a great place to go. Both times we've visited the food has been great, the atmosphere perfect and the weather even better. I would like to thank the staff and owners for being so awesome. Also a big shout out to the wines themselves.
I dislike sweet wines and every wine from here has been perfectly balanced but leaning towards dry. The foch from 2017 truly has notes of wildfire smoke in it.

All you want to know about Wells Gray Provincial Park is available here. The visitor centre has washroom facilities available. There is a wonderful gift shop section and interpretative area in the building also. There is ample parking and picnic tables and benches to sit on outside. If you can stop here do so as it is really nice.

Thank you. Maybe I have missed certain info in the center, but I didn't see specific information on hiking trails. I take Moul Falls for example, I almost gave up and didn't go to the base until a hiker told me it only took me 20 minutes to go down. I am so thankful I did because it's another cool experience. So, I wonder if you can play video, give recommendations, etc in the center and give hikers more info and guidance where to go and what to expect?? Just a thought.

Wells Gray was on my bucket list. We drove 3 hours and I was so excited. We stopped at the information building to pick up a brochure and map (you definitely need this). Our first stop was Spahats Falls, the closest Falls. We parked and had to change our of our shorts and sandals into warmer clothes. By the time we finished changing it started to pour rain. We tried waiting it out but it didn't let up for hours. So we went back home. Grrrrr. We were unable to get a hotel for a decent price due to the Terry Fox run that was happening. So we will go back as soon as we get the chance.

It was amazing in winter. The last 10 km road was fully covered with snow. (We travelled on Feb 29) So it’s good to go on snow tires. The view is a short walk from the parking lot.

Well worth the drive up to see these, and such a short walk from the parking lot. It takes little to no effort to get to these falls and be completely blown away by these fall. You can see the mist from the falls be pushed back up higher than the falls themselves. The sight and sounds are awesome and stunning

🌟🌲 A Natural Marvel Worth Witnessing! 🌲🌟
Helmcken Falls in BC is an absolute gem that has left me awestruck! This majestic waterfall, nestled within the breathtaking Wells Gray Provincial Park, is a true masterpiece of nature's beauty. Standing before the thundering cascade, I was humbled by the sheer force and elegance of the water plummeting down the rugged cliffs.
The trail leading to Helmcken Falls offers an invigorating journey through lush forests and captivating vistas. The anticipation builds with each step, and the payoff is beyond imagination. As you approach the viewing platform, the mist caresses your skin, and the sound of crashing water echoes through the canyon — a sensory symphony that's impossible to forget.
Whether you're an avid nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply seeking a moment of serenity, Helmcken Falls will not disappoint. The pristine wilderness surrounding the falls adds to its allure, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and travelers alike.
Prepare to be transported to a realm where the power of nature takes center stage, leaving you in awe of the Earth's wonders. Helmcken Falls has etched itself into my heart, and I can't wait to return to this awe-inspiring masterpiece of nature's creation.

This waterfall is truly magnificent and is worth the trip to Wells Gray if you’re from the Lower Mainland! There’s a viewpoint 2 minutes away from the parking lot at the end of Helmcken Road. Come with bug spray and you’re set for the day 😊

It is so beautiful. You can drive all the way up to the falls and it’s barely a 2 minute walk to the viewpoint.

Thunderous falls! Simply breathtaking. 45 minute commute from clear water. Certainly the biggest and the baddest out of the 20 falls. Parking lot 2 minutes away from viewing platform. Information plaques provided.
George Barnes — Google review
This waterfall is huge! Pictures don't do it justice. The spray from the water has eroded the rock, carving a giant bowl-like shape behind the falls. You have to come listen to the sound and see its beauty for yourself :) this is probably the shortest walk to view a waterfall in the whole park.
Tay Canuel — Google review
This is undoubtedly the coolest waterfall I have ever seen! It's as if it came straight out of a fantasy movie, with a setting that makes you imagine a dragon living nearby or in the dark carved-out part of the fall. The fall is ten times better than what you see in the pictures.
However, please note that finding it might be a bit challenging since there is no service (data) detectable in the area, and our Google Maps was not working. I highly recommend planning ahead for navigation before heading here!

Well worth the drive! Beautiful and unique waterfalls. The viewing platform is really close to the carpark, so it is an easy walk to this amazing experience. The drive from Highway 5 is around 35km.

Amazing. We visit these amazing falls at least once a year. The hike in from the south side is quite nice and absolutely worth it. The unrestricted view of the falls is breathtaking. If you are able to hike in, I highly recommend it. Take your time as the path can be uneven in parts ... there are tree roots and rocks that can trip you up but aside from one or two small hills the hike is mostly flat.

I was here 3 weeks ago with 2 friends. After 1 month of road tripping and have see a lot of visitors center of national parks (Banff‚ Jasper‚ Yellowstone‚ Yosemite‚ Zion....) I can say that the guy who give us advices (sorry I don't remember of his name after this long time‚ I Can just say that he has a white beard) was by far the best we had. He gave us advices about animals‚ hikes to do (he was right‚ Kenney lake was probably the best hike without a lot of tourists we've done during this road trip) and others useful advices.
Forgive my bad english‚ but thanks a lot for all advices‚ and you should go here (if you plan to go to Jasper‚ you'll probably have better advices hère than in Jasper).

This park is a vast protected area with hiking, camping, fishing, and more. The mountain is famous for being the highest and most prominent in the Canadian Rockies. It's also home to a provincial park with 536 acres of pristine wilderness.
Mount Robson is the start of the Rocky Mountain Range. There are spectacular and beautiful views from here. It’s hard to find a clear day to see the mountain, even in the summer. If you like mountains this is a must see.

In our opinion, Mount Robinson is one of the most breathtaking mountains in North America! Please stop here to gather in the glorious views. All we can hope is that you are able to view the magnificent beast on a blue bird day! Catching a glimpse of the snow covered peak in the middle of summer goes to show it's elevation!
There is a ton of info to learn before heading there so make sure to check out our website!

Beautiful Jaw dropping mountains and breathtaking views.
It's one of the most beautiful part of the yellow head highway drive towards BC. There are a few shops for travellers and tourist to patronize. Also several areas for photo lovers.
Ensure your vehicle is in good shape as help may not come as quickly as you desire if needed.
Cellular network signals are very poor around these area due to the mountains.
Ensure your vehicle has enough gas to avoid disappointment. Not many gas stations are available around the mountain.

Mount Robson Provincial Park is nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains & it one of British Columbia’s gems. Like other Mountain Parks, including Jasper, Banff & Radium Hot Springs, there are rivers, forests & canyons to explore. You can canoe, hike, kayak, & standup paddle board in the warmer months.
The Rocky Mountains boast mammoth lakes that resemble the inland seas that French novelist Jules Verne (1828-1905) wrote about in Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Please be careful when on the water, especially if you are a novice in watercraft travel. The weather can change quickly, & gentle waves could turn into white horses bouncing you.
You might find Yellowhead Lake safer than Moose. One resident who had not seen the ocean until adulthood said Moose Lake was a sea swept by the forces of nature. Consider bringing supplies such as bear spray, a bucket, extra dry clothing & a life jacket, a waterproof phone, a wet bag & a whistle etc. The bucket can help to bail out water.
Is your seating comfortable? Do you need to upgrade it with portable seating designed for watercraft. Time on a vessel can be tough when you sit for long periods so your seating is important.
Please stay close to the shore, especially if this type of travel is unfamiliar to you. Crossing from one side to the lake to the other can be a hazardous route, so it’s crucial to consistently check the weather conditions. Additionally, informing others of your anticipated arrival and return times is highly recommended.

Such a beautiful place! Here you get to see snowy and really tall mountains! And because the Mount Robson Provincial Park is near BC and Alberta, you could play around and you jump from province to province, that sounds cool to me!

What a wonderful park. It’s in the mountains 🏔. Love nature and all that it entails. We drove thorough the park on the Yellow Head highway 🛣. We stopped at the Mount Robson Visitor Centre. It was a nice stop. It would be wonderful to spend more time exploring the park but as with most people we were on our way to somewhere else. I definitely recommend this park and all the wonders it beholds.

I come here every summer when I can. One of the most amazing trails on Earth. If you only have a couple of hours, a trip to Kinney Lake is well worth it. If you have a couple of days, the trip to Berg Lake (and Snowbird Pass) are breathtaking. Must book a loooooooooooong time in advance.
Adam Jacobsen — Google review
Honestly the berg lake trail is one of the nicest hikes I've done. We went up to emperor falls and back (32km+) in one day, and although it was totally worth it it was quite heave on the knees. I recommend everyone to do the hike, as I can only imagine what Berg lake itself will look like, but make sure you got a few days time so you can appreciate it in all it's glory without having to walk around with a knee brace for a week after 😉

I like the park a lot. The sites are nice and quiet and private. There are two showers in Robson meadows campground for women and a family shower there too. And the flushing toilet is good. The visitor center is very nice. I also went to the cafe every morning for coffee. They have a lot of tasty treats and lunch items and snacks, drink and ice cream and wine. everything looked nice and cute in the cafe and staff were very nice. The Berg Lake trail and a few other trails are all closed. Left only the fraser river nature walk and the outlander falls and a trail from visitor center to the top of a hill. Maybe there are a couple other ones I didn't go. But the trail from visitor center was really nice. Here are a few pictures from the summit.
Chen — Google review
One of my favorite provincial parks in all of Canada. Sadly the best trail in the park, the Berg Lake Trail, is closed until probably 2025 due to significant damage from flooding and landslides. There are 7 campgrounds along this trail for backcountry camping in many different environments. Reservations are required for all of them. Hopefully some improvements will be made as they make the needed repairs although compare to back country sites in the US, these are already far superior. Many have cooking shelters established and pit toilets.
