178 acres of forest habitat with 2 lakes, sports facilities, disc golf & an outdoor pool.
Looking for playground for you toddler or your elementary school children. Look no further and head to Mundy Park! Yes, the playground here is great laced with some awesome playground equipment. There are multiple slides, climbing structures, swings, tree house with a wooden & adventure mesh walk, playhouse for toddlers, merry-go-round, and teeter-totter. The double swing was very fun and my kids loved it. There are couple of picnic shelters within the playground area. One with 6 or 7 picnic tables & and another smaller one with 2 tables. There are also other benches and chairs to sit on. Everything looks new and clean. Mundy Park itself is huge with 2 lakes, outdoor pool, sports fields like a baseball and soccer. They are within walking distance from the playground. Restrooms are close to the playground and were clean with hot water. Playground parking is good but can be an issue on nice days but you should be able to find in other parking lots of the park.

Lovely park with limited parking at a certain lot. It has off leash and on leash trails for dogs and many paths to roam around. There is also particular dog park inside with fences in case your dog isn't ready to walk the trail off leash.
Be noted there is a possibility of encountering a bear, so be prepared on how to safely respond in such situation
Luke L'sk — Google review
Great playground for the toddler to elementary school set. Treetop playground with multiple slides, ground level balancing and climbing structures, and a playhouse climber for the youngest kids, all in a wooded setting often with partial shade and a refreshing breeze. Also features some accessible playground equipment including a merry-go-round, double swing, and teeter-totter. There are covered picnic tables and benches, plus grassy areas for picnic blankets or camp chairs all close to the playground. Very close to sports fields like a baseball diamond and soccer field. Restrooms are new, in good condition generally and not too far from the playground. Parking can be an issue on nice days especially if there are sports running.

Awesome forest park with 2 lakes and lots of trails, mostly flat to gently inclined and gravel paved. Tall trees provide shading on hot summer days. Occasional black bear sightings.

The largest park in Coquitlam is definitely Mundy Park. It is very popular for some reasons.
-Large scale of forests and two small lakes, Mundy Lake and Lost Lake.
-Well-designed and well-maintained. Various functional areas for outdoor activities, such as sports fields, hiking trails, playground and outdoor swimming pool etc.
-Dog friendly. There are clear instructions on signs, which trail or area needed on-leash, which one is off-leash. The red line trails are dog prohibited.
-Abundance of parking spots. Different entrances for options. Wheelchair-accessible.
-Great experience.
Helena — Google review
This is an amazing park! HUGE play structure that is also adult friendly, downside is there are no stairs or easy way to get up on the bigger park.
They also have a tot lot that is super cute and fun to play on. They have swings and a wheelchair accessible spinning dome.
Meghan — Google review
Peaceful trails, variety of beautiful plants and flowers, big playground for kids and family, plenty of parking spots, also off-leash trails for furry friends. Definitely a great place to spend time hiking and picnicking.
Mary Speed — Google review
Mundy Park is the largest green space park located in the Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam region. There are many walking trails that pass the park's two lakes. Mundy Park is home to a variety of wildlife. Mundy Park is a great place to take dogs & plenty of green space for are furry friends to run & play fetch. The park isn't that busy. Mundy Park also offers many amenities, including a swimming pool, disc golf, sports fields, a large playground, picnic tables and more.

Every time we’re there, we have to take a picture of Lost Lake as it’s simply breathtaking. Then as we hike along the trails, we never fail to stop in our tracks multiple times to take in the beauty this park has to offer. We are well aware that bears and coyotes live in these woods but haven’t encounter any—yet. Lucky for us, we’ve seen barred owls, hooded mergansers, mallards, gray squirrels…just to name a few. All in all, an amazing place to hang out at and take in loads of much needed fresh air.

So many trails of varying distances. Nice ball fields and a brand new adventure type playground.
Jen Quinn — Google review
Best place EVER! Dogs can run free on specially marked trails. My dog loves to jump logs and go deep into the forest. We meet many friendly dogs and nice owners. There's a lovely large and small dog park where we finish our nature trail walks.
Tracey Fletcher — Google review
Great space for the whole family. You’ll find trails, fields, lake, playground. My 3 years old loves to walk in the forest and they have the perfect trail for him: flat and without many obstacles and is stroller friendly, what makes the perfect place for a family walk when you also have a baby like us.
The playground area it’s also amazing, well maintained and safe.
Thamile Oliveira — Google review
Great place for walks and runs. Plenty of trails with not much change in elevation. Trails are very wide. There are 2 lakes here: Mundy lake and lost lake. There is also a playground for kids, and sports fields. You’ll see plenty of people going for walks with their dogs and runners.
Sophie Tsai — Google review
The renovated play ground is the favorite place for my kids. You can easily get a mood of forest with short walking into inside of park.
Kwangshin Oh — Google review
A beautiful, well-groomed and well-maintained park with plenty of parking. There are more than enough trails in here for you to get lost in the beauty of the forest. The different trails offer different scenery as well as different activities such as hiking, biking, bird watching, etc. The trails are well-maintained and easy to walk for almost all ages.
Take a stop at a bench and enjoy the two ponds in the park. The designated walkways also help preserve the park and the local ecosystem. There are plenty of signs dictating who can go where, from on-leash dog areas, to off-leash parts, and well marked bike paths as well.
It's an all-round nice park to go check out.
James Vaughan — Google review
Fabulous trail, clean, fun for dog lovers. If you are looking for a good walk with your kids as well.
Enjoy.. lost lake is near this trail as well, another one to explore.
Grouse Mountain is a 1,200-meter mountain in British Columbia that offers various outdoor activities such as skiing and hiking. The summit of the mountain provides stunning panoramic views of Vancouver, including its downtown towers, Stanley Park, and Fraser Valley. Visitors can either ride the Skyride aerial tram or hike up to the peak to enjoy these spectacular vistas.
In one word, this beautiful place is worth every cent that you spent on the entrance. Everything is extraordinarily beautiful and you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Vancouver in this place.
There are several shows at the top of Grouse Mountain: Lumberjacks show, Birds show, and Grizzly Bears.
The lumberjack show is very fun and you will laugh a lot when you watch that. They are very professional and funny. Thanks to all three of them.
The birds show is amazing too, and you will see beautiful birds flying in between the audience and will learn a lot about them.
The Grizzly Bear show is interesting. You are very lucky to see this beautiful creator from a close distance.
As a visitor, I will go back to this gorgeous place if I have a chance to revisit Vancouver.

Went to grouse for a ski retreat for the first time this season. Overall it was a very nice experience and appears to have activities for the entire family including ice skating.
The lifts were almost all open and there were a few terrain parks for people to use. While it is certainly a small mountain with only 3-4 lifts it’s accessibility makes it very appealing. We were able to make it to the gondola ride with a smart car and all of our snow gear with no issue.
Only complaint is that their website is difficult to navigate and find lift ticket options and full pricing. I wish I would have know they had an evening lift ticket option available for 3PM-close access.
Jeremy — Google review
It is really good place to visit if you are in Vancouver area.
We did grouse trial hike to reach mountain instead gandola and it took around 1.5 hrs to but it was good experience and work out. You need at least couple of hours at the top to enjoy views and other activities.
There are many activities like zip line and hiking. Overall it is good place to spend half day.
Sachin Parikh — Google review
There's no better way to view Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest. Everywhere you look is gorgeous.
Gondola up and then chairlift to the peak. Busy summer day but still not crowded.
In terms of for money... well, it's a million dollar view. Definitely a must visit spot. Worth it for a few hours at the top. If you are a BC resident, let them know when you're buying your tickets and you'll receive a not insignificant discount.

Grouse Mountain is a snowboarder's paradise with breathtaking sunset views. The slopes offer thrilling runs for all levels, from beginners to experts. Whether you're shredding down the mountain or simply soaking in the stunning scenery, Grouse Mountain never fails to deliver an unforgettable experience. It's a must-visit destination for anyone who loves adventure and natural beauty.

The cable car is fun. Great spring skiing. L love the mountain. So close to town. Get there early and make the most of the paid parking or take a free bus from down town vancouver. Mask are required during the ride up and down
bao nguyen — Google review
Loved the view from the gondola and the restaurant had some nice vistas too. There's a lot to do up top from hikes to the lumberjack show and the grizzly bear exhibit. Had some good nachos at the restaurant, it's a busy place so be prepared to have a lengthy sit. Definitely one of my favourite tourist activities I did while in Vancouver.
Paul Ekberg — Google review
This place is so beautiful. There is a cable car going up the mountain. Or anyone who likes to hike, there is a trail to walk upstairs, the weather is very good, cool, and you can see the view of Vancouver. The cable car costs $20. There are 2 bears on the mountain. It's in a protected area.)

Take the free shuttle from Canada Place and enjoy the 30 mins ride across the Lions Gate Bridge. Take the Skyrode to the top of Grouse Mountain and enjoy the Birds in Motion demonstration, the Grizzly Bear Habitat and the entertaining Lumberjack show. There are other activities that are also included in the ticket price. Take the chairlift to the Peak, it's worth the view! Bring sunscreen, a hat and maybe bug spray, as the show areas are not sheltered from the sun
William Lin — Google review
Very nice and fun for the whole family. You'll need a whole day to explore everything comfortably. They have a lot of informative, and funny shows. There's places to hike at as well.
One downside is that their food is overpriced. Overall a fun experience
Luke Liwanag — Google review
First time to this mountain. Rained the day before so was a bit slippery. Tram was also broken so not many people hiking. Great trail and they have like 2 versions, 1 is for the real hikers and the other is for the occasional hiker. They have the trail marked with fluorescent markers making it a bit easier to find your way in and out. Make sure you go with someone and that your phone is full of battery! Other than that I would definitely return and hike here again. I also recommend this mountain to those who like to hike as well to give it a try!
Raddo Raddo — Google review
Good place to go if you love skiing in winter.
The sky ride is 85 dollars per adult or you can hike your way up which will take 2-3 hours and save up on the sky ride money only to go down.
The views are good, you get the whole Van city view and there are small trails at the top to while away time.
There is also an ice skating rink( which was unfortunately melting because of the time we went) and hay ride.
But if you're not a person who skis and wants views/ hikes please skip going here instead of spending lots of money during winter. Please go to Cypress lookout or sea to sky summit.
Also best to go in summer as they have other activities like zip lining, go to summit top for amaze max views, grizzly bear conservatory, wind mill and trails wouldn't be very slippery.
There are chalets, and numerous cafes. The washrooms are clean.
jayashree ramakrishnan — Google review
Beautiful mountain and facilities. I highly recommend having experiences of the winter sports here and Grouse has unique atmosphere.
My son used to have a camp when he has a school break. The camp instructors were nice and kids could meet their friends. I have experienced here only this winter, but I am planing to hike at Grouse in summer too.

Went with my family to spend the Sunday there. We enjoyed the whole experience. The lumberjack show was amazing and the views stunning. Very recommended.
You can even have a very nice picture take at the tower 7 that you can later on pay and collect at the Chalet.
Mariam Star — Google review
We got to try the treetop rope adventure and it was a great activity for the whole family! Next time I would probably not wear the rings and take a pair of workout gloves to make it easy on hands. The bird show and the lumberjack show were pretty fun as well. At the end of the day, it was nice to catch the sun go down from the restaurant deck.
Bee Sharma — Google review
We went during the summer and it was a great little tourist attraction with grizzly bears - Grinder & Coola - a Lumberjack show, Indigenous music, and wild birds of prey.
Recommend planning to spend at least a few hours here. The longest queue was taking the gondola down the mountain so plan on leaving taking a little longer then you would expect.
Got lucky and saw a beautiful Raven in the parking lot too.
There is a shuttle that takes you from Canada Place to Grouse Mountain that runs about every 30-45 minutes. If you are staying around downtown, use the shuttle to your advantage.
James Smith — Google review
Way too expensive for what you get.
Total of CA$185 for two adults, 3 hr parking, two 500ml waters.
For this you get two 8 minute gondola rides, packed like sardines, looking out of scratched windows, and a variety of activities up top. We saw a bird show which was very good and informative (showing 4 birds), saw the bears, took a ski lift ride to the top and watched some loggers do a skit.
If the whole thing was 20-30% cheaper, it would have felt like a great day out but at that price, I felt like I'd been swindled.
It was incredibly hot, smokey so you can't see that far, and lots of wasps which obviously isn't the fault of the people who put it on, be careful when planning for this and consider why you are going up there to figure it it's worth it.
Rachel Sweeney — Google review
Certainly not the cheapest activity in the Vancouver area, but it really is worth it. The gondola ticket gets you to the top of the mountain and then there are a number of excellent activities included in the ticket price, including birds of prey, a lumberjack show, ranger talks, an opportunity to see two rescued grizzly bears, and a 4-man chairlift to the summit for even more stunning views. We took a picnic up to the summit to avoid the wait (and, probably, cost) of buying food on the mountain. That said, there are a number of different places to grab lunch should you want to, as well as an ice cream stand, coffee bar, BeaverTails, etc..
Half a day is barely enough to see it all properly, and it could easily be a full day out. Note that, at peak times, you may need to wait to get both up and down the mountain on the gondola - we waited around an hour to get back down (from 16:00-17:00).
Overall, well worth a visit.
Neil Ferguson — Google review
This fantastic elevated park is incredibly close to Vancouver, making it super convenient. My daughter had a blast exploring the mountains, especially when she saw grizzly bears for the first time. The gondola ride was also a standout, with top-notch quality and a remarkably smooth and quiet ride—much better than others we've tried elsewhere. It felt incredibly safe the whole way.
The staff at Grouse Mountain were wonderful. They were a bunch of friendly young folks who clearly love what they do. I highly recommend Grouse Mountain, especially in the summertime. It's a great place to have fun, engage in exciting activities, and soak in the stunning natural beauty.
Mehdi Nafisi — Google review
Beautiful little mountain with a ton of different activities like skating and skiing snowboarding walking trails and zip lining. Definitely worth looking and booking online as there was quite a line up for passes when we went on a Friday and Saturday. The lift up the mountain is super quick and very beautiful views once you get to the top! Wear warm clothes and good boots as there is a lot of snow if you are doing the walking trails. They have it very well maintained and safe. Lots of kids and all ages.

We had our wedding in the Timber Room, and the staff were absolutely wonderful to deal with. The cost was well worth it for all we received.
We had a medical emergency during our cocktail hour, and the staff were amazing during this unfortunate situation. They handled things with compassion and sensitivity and made a hard time a little easier.
The coordinator we worked with, Laura, was absolutely amazing. She responded to my questions and concerns effectively and quickly. She worked with us to help us have the wedding we wanted and she was an absolute pleasure to work with.
Logan was our bartender and was absolutely amazing. He was personable and went above and beyond with the guests. Several of my guests told me he was their favourite part of the evening.
The food was phenomenal and we also had guests comment that it was the best food they’d had at a wedding.
It was a wonderful experience and I’ll never forget it.
April Goff — Google review
This is my first ski season, and Grouse mountain is one of my favorite local resorts. I like its location when other ski resorts are a little far. Not only the gas price is hella high, but also the drive is long if you push yourself hard. The crew is very friendly and knowledgeable. When there was not enough snow, they worked hard to ensure we could still enjoy with limited slopes. I won’t blame anyone for the snow condition even when it’s my first season. Some people hate their gondola due to loads, however, a new gondola will be running the next season (24/25)! Hopefully the parking issue can be silently solved as well.

Just great views, what more can I say?
The gondola ride to the top of the mountain was enjoyable. The facility at the top was peaceful. Highly recommended.

I don't always get the opportunity to visit attractions when I travel. I'm so glad that I took the opportunity to go up to this lovely area. Spectacular views overlooking Vancouver, and it's only a short drive. I love that they have numerous opportunities to "play" with skiing, ice skating, food and exploration.
It felt like such a privilege to go to the gondola to the top and lookout over Vancouver.

This place is really good during Christmas as they put up lighting and food for ice skaters(pro). As we went in a group and the family ticket was $119(limited offer) for 2 kids 2 adults we took that. We also have an ice skating rink for beginners and children. It would cost 10$ for skate rentals. Overall it's a good experience for the first timers and visit during snow time.
Deepika Kennedy — Google review
Not bad. Lots of activities to do, trails, skating, skiing, zip lining it’s just that zero visibility when we get there, such a thick fog and cloudy. Our first time going up grouse mountain and we will definitely going back there and looking forward to see more beauty of nature. We also get to see Owl in person with group of kids. They have clean tables in the cafeteria and good food though a bit expensive but its understandable. They have clean toilets too.

Wonderful experience. Originally, I expect that I will just view the whole city with little snow. By the end, I can walk through the whole trail covered with wide range of snow. My spouse and I enjoyed the whole afternoon. In the late evening, after the Christmas light has switched, the view is really amazing.

Beautiful place to visit with family , lots of spots for BBQ and amazing kid’s playground with expansive water view. Few walking trails around and many different birds.
Clean washrooms. Parking and small cafe with food options and different drinks.
Sometimes you can meet weird noisy families who don’t respect others.
You can reserve covered bbq tables on their websites for your occasion.

Lots of parking and good access to the Boundary Bay dike trails. They've got a cool protected area of sand dune ecosystems too. If it's cold out make sure you bundle up as the area is very open and exposure to weather.

A beautiful beach and hiking trail. Although there is no shade or trees along the hiking trail but if you want a nice view of Mount Baker in Washington then you are at the right place.
Plenty of parking here
The beach hike is nice and if you love to swim then it is worth to cool off here while looking at Mount Baker

Such a beautiful beach and one of my favourite waterfronts in the lower mainland. The little viewpoint midway gives you a real neat spot to birdwatch, catch the sunset, watch the beachcombers and admire the high-rises twinkle in the distance along with the Northshore mountains.

Excellent location with stunning views, walkable beach with Mt baker views! All faculties are in great conditions, love of picnic tables and parking spots!
My kids love the big playground so much, it connected the old and new play sets together. Highly recommended to visit or spend a day here if you come to tsawwassen!

I love this beach!! The tide rising is various, and it's always beautiful here. The water is so nice in the summer weather. It gets really busy sometimes, but it makes sense. There's always enough room to set ur your own little spot!
The washrooms are super clean and aesthetically pleasing. In front, there's a little rinsing station to rinse yourself after hanging out in the water!
Overall, it is a very pretty beach, and I love hanging out here with my family :D

It is nice to come here during weekdays, too crowded last weekend and the beach was low tide so we didn’t get to enjoy the water much. We arrived at 9:00am then we get to choose a good spot since not so many people at that time and weather was so nice, not so hot and not so cold. Although the water gets high in the late afternoon around 5:30pm and there’s still many people in the beach. They have big parking closer to kids playground and far side too. Good for kids, big playground. Washroom was ok, good enough cubicles for many. The beach was ok too and picnic area, only few tables though. I don’t see many dogs out there and none off leash. In total is ok deserve 4 star.

We simply love it there! Parking is easy & free, amenities are great (easy to clean yourself & the kids up after a sandy day on the beach 😅)… perfect spot to chill - and really cool is low tide time when you can walk aaaall the way over to White Rock! (no kidding!) It‘s clean, it‘s super safe - fantastic place for everybody! Small kids can play in the water & everybody else can practice their SUP skills! Enjoy!!

It's a good area to stroll around the beach anytime. We usually go there in spring, fall and winter. It's hard to get a parking in summer.
We are lucky seeing about 8 bold eagles standing up high in the trees this visit.

Nice place to spend a day with a family.
Parking is free, big. Washrooms, spray for washing feet. Small cafe where you can buy fast food, drinks.
Very very big playground for kids, it is great.
Beach by itself is somewhere sandy, somewhere with rocks.
Very crowded place is a minus, some people have loud music and being loud in general. Kids playground is big and with big amount of kids it’s hard to keep an eye on your child.
Not the best place to relax.

This is my new favorite beach! What a gorgeous view of the of the sand bar when the tide is out, there is lots of parking huge clean washrooms and a very impressive kids big toy play area. Lots of bird watching there everywhere. Lots of logs spread all over the beach to sit on. On the far right side is the USA/Canada concrete marker that's cool u can just walk right into the states. This beach would be amazing during sunset. They also have a food stand here near the entrance. Great beach 💯💯💯
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is a renowned tourist destination in Vancouver, offering visitors the opportunity to experience British Columbia's natural beauty. The park features a 137-meter-long treetop bridge that provides breathtaking views of the forest below. This adventure-filled park also includes the Treetops Adventure, an easy hike along surrounding trails, and a visit to Capilano River Hatchery where one can witness salmon jumping upstream.
Went for the Love Lights, and it was so beautiful!!!! Lights were even on during the day, but it is more magical at night. Parking is across the street from entrance, was $6 for 3hrs. Went around 4pm so we could experience the lights during the day and night sky. It was a weekday, so wasn't very busy and we had great photos without people in the background. It was chilly at first but with all the walking you warm up really fast. Super romantic yet family friendly. Totally worth it go to especially if you're a BC resident so you get an annual pass for the price of one visit. My only wish is that it stayed open longer because once the sky gets dark around 5pm we only had 1 hr to enjoy the lights since it closed at 6pm. We spent 2 hrs there, got to see everything, but I wish we stayed longer. Overall, TOTALLY WORTH IT TO GO!!!

I think this park would be most enjoyed by families with adventurous kids or adults that are excited by heights.
Being neither, we found the enjoyment that we got from the park to be a bit unworthy of the cost.
The main feature, the suspension bridge, is very cool. I liked learning about it and traversing it a few times back and forth. But that bridge is simply not worth the $66 (CAD) adult ticket. And the other additions to the park (the cliff walk, the treetop adventure, and the neat birds) didn't quite make up the difference for us either.
Especially when you can find a suspension bridge (that is not quite as high or as long) a short drive away at Lynn Creek Canyon for free.
So again, I think for families with kids, this would probably be a really fun way to spend an afternoon. Do keep in mind that everything cool in the park requires you to cross the 270ft/70m high bridge that moves with every step someone makes. So if your kid (or you for that matter) can't make it over the bridge, then you can't access any of the other park features except the cliff walk, the gift shop, and the restaurants.
As an additional note, we were there while the special Halloween decorations were up and we really loved that addition. We also saw that a Christmas light display would be following it. This DID add to the value for us and I would recommend that other try to time their visits to the park with some thing special like that.

This was a great park, just large enough to go through with kids in tow without tiring them out too much. I could see how weekends might be really busy and I would probably opt for weekday if you can to really enjoy the views it is a hefty priced ticket so you want to make sure you get max value. I will say this park is not for anyone that has a fear of heights - there is a suspension bridge with quite a bit of movement even with minimal people on the bridge - it is a good distance to the other side so please be aware. That being said the views from
The various bridges, the birds of prey, totem poles all made it pretty interesting and worthwhile for us.

We had an amazing and rainy visit to the suspension bridge and park! Our girls loved the explorer program and the views were breathtaking. We ate lunch at the cliff side restaurant, walked all of the trails including the cliff walk. So amazing. Even the gift shop was great!

All I can say is "wow!" They did an amazing job creating this aerial park which has no steep slopes at all. The gift shop was also amazing, which had various unique souvenirs, as well as collectible art pieces. The ticket price includes a shuttle ride from Canada Place at the Waterfront. Pictures don't do it justice; it really must be appreciated in person. I would highly recommend going early in the morning when there are fewer people for good photo ops.

This is such a fun and must-see place to go! Even when it's a little wet, it's a lot of fun. There is food available there, you can easily spend a half-day exploring the different levels of this park. With lots of rest areas, it's a moderate climb, but still totally doable if you're working on your fitness journey.
I definitely recommend going earlier, before 11am as it definitely starts to get busy after that. I really appreciated the free, year-round shuttle, it really sold me on visiting.

Amazing park with a lot of beautiful nature and some historical facts as well. You get a great view of everything from all the different lookout points and everything is very walkable. Bridge is very strong, but does move a little bit when walking on it. We also really loved the gift shop and bought quite a few things there. We did everything in about 2 hours.

We decided to brave the cold snap in January and come to the Suspension Bridge. It was very quiet and nice to have lots of space to ourselves. The staff were very friendly, they had many heat stations set up and all the food vendors were still open. We had a blast and loved all the lights. They also do lights for Valentine’s Day if you don’t want to brave the cold. We can’t wait to come back in the summer. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Vancouver!

The winter lights were stunning!!! I had bought tickets in advance and was subsequently dreading going because the forecast was freezing cold weather. So so glad I bundled up and came. The bridge itself is gorgeous at night time but the rest of the park is something else! I loved the tree walk high above the ground. The lights were extraordinary. Even with lots of people on a sold out night, the park felt large enough to accommodate everyone outside distanced safely. The hot chocolate is a must try. Great family friendly activity

The trip to Capilano was beautiful and far exceeded our already high expectations. Free shuttle to and from the Hyatt downtown on a clean coach bus, beautiful 20min drive to the park. No wait to get in, not crowded, quite peaceful (we went on a Wed around 4pm, perfect time to avoid crowds and get the evening discount). I have never been to a park so clean, well constructed and finished so beautifully. The bridge itself is very cool, but the other add-on courses/trails were an extra bonus. There is a treetop bridge course, a pond trail, and a nature’s edge walk. All trails are wood-boarded so you don’t have to worry about mud/getting your shoes dirty. The views are spectacular, of the mountains, water below, and the vast forest surrounding. Very well done. As someone who is not a huge nature person, I absolutely loved the experience. Very much worth the trip, and you get a bang for your buck. One of my favourite things we did while in Vancouver. Thank you Capilano for an amazing time!

This park really is a must see in Vancouver. The price of admission is expensive but it is definitely with the money. The park is absolutely breathtaking. Everything is perfectly maintained and sparkling clean. The employees are super friendly and helpful. The forest is lush, peaceful and amazing. The long suspension bridge is very exciting to cross and there are several other shorter suspension bridges connected from tree to tree. I have never seen anything like this anywhere else. They also have a couple of cafe’s and a large gift shop. There is a covered pavilion and plenty of places to rest and relax along the trails. Most of the trails through the forest are beautiful wooden boardwalks. AMAZING! Parking lot is right across the street.

Great family event. You need a couple of hours. Have lots of opportunities for pictures. Need to take the suspension bridge to get to the scenery side. Tour guides are very informative. Great with kids that are adventurous and like forestry. Very safe.

Absolutely beautiful outdoor excursion. Had an amazing time walking through the uniquely built suspended walkways. The staff was kind and helpful when my group was asking questions. Beautiful exhibits of First Nation history, supplies, and tools. Good food and cute little gift shop that is decorated with a warm log-cabin feeling.

Nice park with lots of walking opportunities for families.
Went end of October so everything was Halloween themed which was probably great for the children.
Easy walks and some good photo opportunities. I spotted an eagle so there might be a little wildlife involved 🤩
Treetop walk can be crowded!

Park is clean, organized, and scenery is beautiful.
You can save $3.00 per ticket by purchasing the tickets on the website in advance.
Many people recommended visiting after dusk during the holiday season for the Christmas lights display. Reservation is recommended.
I did enjoy the less crowded scenery and able to walk around without the rush, long line, or the crowd and during the warmest time of the day. 😁😉
Suspension bridge, nature's edge and Cliff Walk were all amazing. Estimated time to walk through the park leisurely is about 2 hours for us.
There's a shuttle service to and from the park. Thankful 🥰😇🙏.

Visited in the spring and had a wonderful experience. We took the free shuttle from downtown Vancouver and enjoyed the ride up to the park. The views were spectacular and air felt clean and crisp. There were some interactive activities happening that day and there were many boards/signs displaying names and historical facts throughout the park. There are a range of paths to choose from, some harder than others. The bridge itself is an amazing experience to walk over. It does get busy so expect people to stop and take pictures. You will likely feel the bridge move or even sway. We had lots of fun and were able to finish everything in 2 hours before hopping back on the free shuttle. Oh, and we also received a certificate of completion on our way out. Highly recommend!

Good place to take the kids, not sure if adults would be very fascinated by this place. It's nice to look around, but there are better places to visit for the money we spend here. It's almost 67 bucks for an adult.
A one time visit would be recommended to learn about the rainforest ecosystem and see the beautiful gorges, also the time we visited the tree houses were shut down for maintenance :( so there was a 10% discount on the ticket.
The cliff walk was nice.
There are numerous cafes and washrooms are clean.

We loved this place. It’s like an outdoor theme park, with the suspension bridge as the highlight. We went a few months ago when the weather was great and had a nice time. The place is big and well laid out. While it’s big, there are still long lines and it can feel a little crowded. It’s very clean and the staff take care of the grounds and keep it tidy. There are lots of signs pointing attractions and things out as there’s an education here. They have a nice souvenir shop and the offer some food and drink too. While it’s a bit pricey, you can actually make a day of it. There is decent parking although that’s probably something that can be improved. I also totally recommend buying tickets in advance. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to people who are looking for something outdoorsy and fun to do.

This place is so cool and so wholesome, everyone should go here. The forest is beautiful, and the bridges, decks, and platforms are carefully curated to allow you to interact with the forest without being obtrusive. The main bridge is super cool, with just the right amount of bounce, but the Cliff Walk is where the real thrills are. And the Treetop Adventure is so enchanting, it's like being in an Ewok village. And the complementary shuttle literally from the door of our hotel streamlined the visit perfectly. Definitely go here. It's worth the trip.

Lovely place to enjoy the nature from the heights, the suspension bridge is nice experience, my kid enjoyed a lot walking on the bridge. We went yesterday, there were showers intermittently, however enjoyed the rain forest with rain. Walking on other wooden bridges also give you nice experience if you're visiting for the first time. Ticket price is on the higher side, visiting in the lights is worth the experience as well, in the entrance you can see the Totem poles, don't miss the board walk and photo frame view.

The staff in the park are really nice and helpful
There are cafes and restaurants there.
The experience of walking on bridge and learning about the history of the place us really good.
It is also good to understand the information provided in different places about trees and animals
Also very nice place for children for playing and learning

Many claim it's an overpriced tourist trap, but I spent 3 hours here with my daughter, and we enjoyed it very much! There are a lot of areas to explore and definitely a good family adventure. I have a fear of heights, and the main bridge was rough, but I'm so happy I took the chance on this park! Buy your tickets in advance for a bit of a discount. The shuttle bus was appreciated!

Great place! We took our time and spent a few hours here. The Treetops Adventure is worthy and manageable. It is an easy walk across short, stable suspended bridges (not wobbly). The Cliffwalk was scarier than the suspended bridge (in my opinion), but also very doable. Beautiful scenery. Educational opportunities (in writing and with guides) throughout. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful park. We arrived early and it wasn't too crowded. Parking and access was very easy. The suspension bridge was wobbly, but that adds to the experience. The tree canopy walk is fun and great for small children and adults. The cliff walk was beautiful and had great viewpoints of the bridge and river below.

Visiting this place on Halloween was like stepping into a magical wonderland. The enchanting lighting transformed it into a fantasy realm, making every corner feel surreal and captivating. It was a truly mesmerizing experience, and I couldn't help but feel like I'd entered a world of dreams. The attention to detail and the creativity in the decorations were outstanding. It was a Halloween night I'll never forget, filled with enchantment and wonder. A truly spellbinding experience!

Drove up from Seattle to see the lights. 2 1/2 hour drive and short 20 minutes to cross the border. Was WELL worth it! Went at 3:30 p.m. so as to walk around and see the lights at dusk. Park started filling up more after our arrival. Staff was very friendly, and paths are well marked. Highly recommend. The bridge does sway and bounce, so consider that if there are issues with walking. However, there are other paths within the woods that also provide fantastic views of the lights and surroundings.

The faculty were so nice and helped answer questions. The heat lamps and hot chocolate were a perfect halfway point to warm up in the rain. The lights were gorgeous, especially the reflections over the waters. The bridge views were breathtaking, and this was an exciting first time at that height. My husband and I got some great pictures. This place feels like a fairy tale!

Nice place to spend time in the nature. Clean fresh air throughout just sitting here for an hour feels relaxing. The bridge itself is fine. Shakes quite a bit if there are more people. Walking on it is fine if you have confidence and don’t feel dizzy. There are quite a few small trails which can easily be covered in about an hour. There is a gift shop, eatery and clean bathrooms. Parking is on same street and costs about CAD $8 for 4 hours. Entrance fee is quite expensive though. But a must visit place if around Vancouver.

This was an awesome stop for a couple hours. The suspension bridge is exhilarating and offers a fantastic view of the area as well as the cliff climb too! They’re rebuilding the tree walls but those look like they will also be really cool!

A must do attraction in Vancouver! Breathtaking, beautiful place! 😍 the suspension Bridge is a unique experience, not too rocky but steady enough to walk across for all ages. You can also see totem poles from earlier inhabitants. If you are not into heights, just go and walk around, enjoy the beautiful scenery!

We visited as part of a tour and right before peak season started. It is an amazing stretch of nature and scenic views. The bridge is fun and learning about its beginnings and change of engineering is great. Our tour guide said it gets very busy during season so beware.

Great bonding experience!! This is a must-see place when you go to Vancouver.
The place is very accessible since there is a FREE Shuttle going to and from the Park. Could you believe that? All you have to do is enjoy the breathtaking view of the place. We went there when its raining but you could still enjoy everything.. There is a map of the place and suggestion on where to go first. The Suspension Bridge is the highlight of the place but the scene across the bridge is also as equally beautiful. There are safety precautions as well so no need to worry about anything.
There is also a some restaurants inside although only one was open when we went there, probably coz its not yet summer.
There are washrooms located around the park and adequate amount of parking slot are available as well but I suggest just avail the free shuttle as it will go directly to the place and there are stops along downtown and major streets so you won’t need to worry anything.
Online booking is also available but there are ticket booths available in the entrance as well. Don’t forget to mention that you are a BC residents as well as one could enjoy a year-long pass as long as you’re a BC Resident.
We will definitely go back here to experience again the magic..

Amazingly beautiful spot! There are different paths to walk, including the treetop route. The only drawback is that it is crowded, so at times you where basically waiting in line, but not everywhere. There is a lot of walking, stairs, and some long inclines, but there are areas that are flat, and easy to walk. As a fan of "Pysch", the TV show, it was an added bonus to see where an episode was filmed.

We visited during the Love Lights at 7pm. It wasn't super crowded. We took our time so that the main crowd could make their way through and we enjoy it with less people. I highly recommend visiting late. It was great enjoying the lights in peace.
The lines moved quickly and the brownie hot chocolate was delicious!

I really enjoyed this place. The suspension bridge is very long and I walked inside the forest through suspension bridges with huge trees, each of which is more than half a meter in diameter. The distance to cross the forest is long and there are several places to rest, although some places require an adventure to cross. The weather was sunny and beautiful, the air was fresh and the services excellent, The admission rates online for adult ages 17-64 $54.95 and for senior 65+ $49.95 ,I highly recommend.

Gastown is a lively neighborhood in Vancouver, known for its Victorian buildings housing souvenir shops, indie art galleries, and decor stores. It also boasts a trendy food and drink scene with chic cocktail lounges and restaurants serving gourmet sandwiches and local seafood. Additionally, the neighboring Downtown Eastside area has hip eateries while Railtown features edgy fashion studios. The Steam Clock is a popular attraction in Gastown.
The Gastown Steam Clock is an antique-style clock with steam tubes that blow a whistle to tell the time. It was built in 1977 and is one of the most photographed tourist attractions in Vancouver. The clock is powered by steam and only blows its whistle when it needs to mark an hour.
It's a nice place to take pictures if you're visiting Vancouver or just live here. The whole street is very beautiful and has tons of food options. If you like Italian, you must try Old Spaghetti Factory - Do reserve your table beforehand.

Top rated attraction in Vancouver. Gastown is a great place to visit and this is a very cool landmark to stop by. Feels like a ghost town. Depends on the time you visit it’s beautiful and night. The clock whistles every quarter of an hour and every hour it whistles longer. I enjoy the view whenever I get a chance.
Great attraction, fantastic and excellent photography opportunity. Classic brick buildings, beautiful trees, cool restaurants and bars. Definitely a fun street to be walking around.
Must visit in Vancouver.

This is a must visiting spot if you visit Vancouver. All the visitors will wait for the time that the clock releases the steam and whistling then taking some pictures.
There are many Victorian style architecture, old fashion restaurants, array of shops and coffee shops.
It's good to stroll around in this old town.
It is almost at the same area of the waterfront downtown. You may visit the whole downtown area in one day.
But if you plan walking to Stanley Park, it may takes more than one hour from Gastown. The younger people may want to rent a bike enjoying the whole area.
Vancouver Convention Centre, Canada Place, Vancouver Lookout, Stanley Park and Seawall Water Walk are not far from each interesting spots. Many good restaurants with stunning views are in this waterfront area. The views are just WOW in the waterfront.
But you still can find food courts, chain fast food and small coffee shops there, so many choices for you to eat.

A nice city walk and the historical gas/steam clock built in 1977, this well-known, antique-style clock is powered by steam & whistles to tell the time. There are so many souvenir shops on the main street and good restaurants around. Canada palace is just 3 minutes walk with a beautiful sea view.

Cool steam powered Clock. Blows steam every 15mins and does a little jungle every hour. Interesting look and design but it is true, it is just a clock.
To me it was an interesting site. It is best though to come to the local shops around as it is a great little strip with tons of things to see. Early morning is a good time as it is a tourist hot spot especially during the weekends. Great to see at least 1 time.

Gastown in Vancouver is renowned as a historical and cultural hub, with its Steam Clock being one of the district's most iconic landmarks. This Steam Clock is considered one of the few in the world that is still operational. Although it runs about five minutes slow compared to standard time, this slight inaccuracy doesn't detract from its appeal—in fact, it adds to its unique charm.
The design of the Steam Clock is an ingenious fusion of classical and industrial aesthetics, powered by steam to drive the clock mechanism. Every 15 minutes, it releases a burst of steam and plays a delightful tune, drawing countless tourists to snap photos and admire its unique style.
In this area, you can also find Victorian-style architecture, quaint streets, and an array of boutique shops and cafes. The ambiance created by the Steam Clock makes it a prime spot for photography and romantic outings.
Therefore, if you visit Vancouver, you should definitely not miss the Steam Clock in Gastown. Whether you're interested in history, art, or simply seeking out beautiful landmarks, this iconic site is sure to provide you with a memorable experience.

The steam clock was quite interesting, and has lots of information boards telling you how it came to be.
We might have found it more interesting if it was functioning properly, some of the mechanism balls were missing, and the clock was out of time with both our phones. It is meant to blow steam every 15 minutes but after 20minutes - still nothing. Likely requires some TLC.
Whilst it is a fascinating contraption and worth having a look at the marvel of invention from the time, you don't need to stick around for it too long.

FlyOver Canada is an 4D film and ride highlighting some of the most iconic places in Canada that was incredibly well done. It made want to road trip across Canada.
The film was very well done. The soar over Taiwan was good but not as well done as the Canada film. With Taiwan there are so many things you could show rather than the fish under water. The bridges, the animals in the jungle/forest and man made structures. Regardless you definitely should check this place out. Your kids will love it. The service and people here are amazing. This is one of the best virtual experience you can have where you can see few of the major attractions like mountains, rivers, lakes and much more accross Canada virtually in a 25 minutes session. The ride feels real, steers in different directions with special effects of water coming on your face. It slows down suddenly like a plane and then goes too fast over the mountains that it almost feels like you are flying the plane.
The staff is friendly and helpful by guiding the visitors properly and also taking care of their loose belongings that visitors bring with them so that the loose belongings doesn't hurt the visitors accidentally.
It is worth your money so will definitely recommend.

Pretty good. The experience was excellent, especially for children and seniors. It was thrilling but not overly scary. Besides, there are different scenarios to choose. We would definitely visit it there again.
Another thing is, I made a mistake for purchasing duplicate tickets online. The staff there helped me get the refund patiently. He was so nice.

Not very worth the price. You can have similar experience with VR devices at home.
We chose the show of call of the canadian rockies, overall feeling is just okay. There is a 10 min pre-show which was presented in a room for background, then the actual show was just 10 mins. We were arranged to the very left seats, so the experience was not very good. There was distorion at the corner and the video quality can be improved.
We booked the tickets online in advance. We arrived one hour early, so the booth tickets helped us to move to a previous slot.

Great 30 minutes enjoying the sights of Canada. Very well filmed and effective as IMAX. Was not that keen by being sprayed twice by the Niagara falls refugee in a few days! Handy cafe there and of course a gift shop. It is part of the cruise terminal so easy to get to. Not so keen on the extra for Halloween but then the kids would like that.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Soaring over Canada's breathtaking landscapes is a must-do. The discounted tickets on Canada Day make it even more enjoyable. Planning to make it an annual tradition. Highly recommend!
Canada Place is a distinctive complex in Vancouver designed to resemble a ship, featuring a convention center, hotel, and ferry terminal. The iconic white sails of Canada Place offer stunning views of Vancouver's waterfront, Burrard Inlet, and the North Shore mountains. It serves as both a cruise ship terminal and the Vancouver Convention Center, hosting numerous events throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy attractions like FlyOver Canada, offering a virtual experience of flying over notable Canadian landmarks.
This is an amazing place to witness the scenic view of Vancouver. One of the best places that should be a must when you visit Vancouver. It's just breathtaking. The combination of the mountains, nature, ocean, and the skyscrapers is amazing.
Also, there are many restaurants and fast food places nearby.
The view at night was really beautiful. We went there during Christmas time. The lights are so colourful. Really Beautiful place to just walk around. There are beautifully decorated trees around and outside the Canada Place.
Nice window Christmas scenes. One of the must see place at night. Loved the Beautiful decorations for Christmas!
Great place to see Vancouver downtown area.
Overall great experience!!!

Had an amazing walk through here. The place is lively with plenty to look at and take pictures. The views of the entire area are breathtaking, anyone with a half decent camera could do wonders with their photos. Wife and kids had to go to the Philippines embassy and do passport forms so I got to walk around the area. The digital Orca was really cool but was roped off because there was a function happening at that time. Cactus club seems popular as there was a huge line up. Walked from the convention center down to Canada place. Lots of cool stuff to see, if you look close enough you will notice movie locations all over. Definitely coming back here again to see those views...

Canada Place is a commercial and entertainment complex located in the city of Vancouver, Canada. The site features a range of luxury hotels, restaurants, shops, and museums. One of the prominent museums on the site is the Vancouver Art Gallery, which houses a large collection of Canadian and international artworks. Additionally, Canada Place also includes a theater for theatrical performances and musical concerts. As for restaurants, there are many fantastic dining options at Canada Place that offer various cuisines from around the world. I recommend visiting Canada Place as it offers a unique experience that combines shopping, entertainment, and culture in one place. Additionally, it overlooks the water directly, making it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy stunning views of the city.

Canada place is an iconic spot to visit. Quite possibly one of the best locations to go for a relaxed walk starting from the Convention Center right up to the Coal Harbor seawall. The walking paved path itself continues into Stanley Park but if you are just out for a short walk then the above should suffice while enjoying million dollar views of the harbor, the water over looking the snow capped North Shore mountains all blended in with the civilization(buildings)... Even being a local I never get tired of the views... pics taken on an evening sunset walk during the recent snow fall last December. Enjoy!

Canada Place in Vancouver is a true icon and a must-visit destination. Its striking design, resembling a ship's sails, stands out along the waterfront skyline. The complex serves as a multi-purpose venue, housing the Vancouver Convention Centre, a hotel, and the captivating FlyOver Canada attraction. The outdoor promenade offers stunning views of the harbor, North Shore mountains, and Stanley Park. It's a fantastic spot to relax, take photos, or enjoy a leisurely walk. Whether you're attending an event, exploring the FlyOver Canada experience, or simply soaking in the scenic beauty, Canada Place offers an unforgettable and quintessential Vancouver experience.

Functions as a cruise ship terminal, the headquarters of Fly over Canada and a great place to walk around. I personally arrived on a cruise here and the customs process was very easy and convenient, they just ask for your declaration card and that's about it. The following day I had the opportunity to walk around and it provides some wonderful and unique views of Vancouver harbour and it's many sights. You can see the sea planes and helicopters take off and land as well as the ferrys go by. Worth walking to the end for some nice photos and a place to chill.

Beautiful place to walk around alone or with family and friends. Places to choose to eat. Watch the sea planes fly or just enjoy the looking at the mountain, Stanley Park and Vancouver Harbour.

"Canada Place, as both a stunning architectural landmark and a bustling port of Vancouver, left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I entered, I was greeted by the grandeur of the iconic sails and the vibrant energy of a thriving waterfront community.
As a port, Canada Place seamlessly blends functionality with beauty, offering a gateway to the city for travelers from around the world. The efficiency and professionalism of the port staff ensured a smooth and seamless experience, whether I was embarking on a cruise or simply admiring the maritime activity from the promenade.
Exploring Canada Place was a delight, with its diverse array of attractions and activities. From immersive exhibits highlighting Canada's rich maritime history to the charming shops and restaurants lining the waterfront, there was never a dull moment. I particularly enjoyed strolling along the promenade, taking in the breathtaking views of the harbor and marveling at the majestic sails soaring against the city skyline.
Canada Place truly captures the essence of Vancouver's charm and hospitality. Whether you're a visitor or a local, it's a must-see destination that promises a memorable experience for all. I can't recommend it enough and look forward to returning soon for another unforgettable adventure.

Great walking experience.
Lovely 360 views. The inside was not open during my visit - but the views of North Vancouver across the inlet made it worth it.
I got to see numerous Fly Over Canada planes take off as well as 1 of the helicopters with a marvelous backdrop.

We went to Pan Pacific in Canada place. In the front they offer to pay $145 but we get club members stay which includes two breakfast , afternoon buffet and have unlimited non alcoholic drinks + alcohol is about $9 instead of $15 or 20. They also allowed us to use the pool after we check out. It was great experience and I would do it again. Also club member put us in the last floor which the view was amazing. We were over looking the Alaska cruise ☺️🥰

I just visited the lobby and the surrounding area. Kind of cool to look at architecture. It's a big airy space. Several floors high. Let's say 12 or 20 floors the atrium with some good quality restaurants and lounges.

This place has its own charm within downtown. Love the sea wall walk, and golden hour when the sun is setting is super pretty. Sunday mornings can be a bit busy as there are cruise ships that begin boarding. Also, if you are an out of province driver and don't know BC rules, under no circumstances make a U turn there as it's not allowed, I got a ticket last Sunday.

Wow wow wow!! Went to fly over Canada Iceland and for a Wednesday night was not too busy.. was able to get a discounted rate for being a BC resident which also applied to my friend's visiting from Ontario. Lineup is quick, washrooms are right beside lineup. They take a picture of your group before you go in and then when you go through the gift shop at the end of the ride you can buy souvenir photo. I did fly over Canada Hawaii last year and it was really amazing. Highly recommend going to this.. parking on the street pay by the half hour right by the cruise ship terminal.
About a six minute walk from the road at the end of the pier. You can buy tickets at a kiosk at the front or closer to the lineup.

It's the Canada Place Convention Center.
It's huge. It's an amazing building. Being inside the large tents was cool. They are built much different than I thought, and looking up at the roof of the tent explained that once inside. Such beautiful architecture and a very unique design.
Lots of amenities, food, and restaurants nearby, close to the Waterfront. Lots of parking underground. There were 3 events taking place nearby, so it was quite busy, but it all flowed well as there is a lot of space for crowds.

The Vancouver Lookout offers 360° views of the city from an observation deck, making it a perfect way to get a glimpse into the beauty of Vancouver from above. The view includes iconic landmarks such as the Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park, as well as interesting facts about the city.
My favorite place to eat. The best time if you have the opportunity is to go at dusk. The view is spectacular and the food and service is excellent.
Steve Pewsey — Google review
The Vancouver Lookout is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best spots within downtown Vancouver to get a good 360° view of the city itself, its skyline and the surrounding areas from above without getting on a seaplane or a helicopter. Beautiful views of nature from up above too.
They keep the windows clean, allowing their customers to take clear pictures. The lookout is easy to get to on foot from the Waterfront Skytrain station and Canada Place. More importantly, the tickets to enter is reasonably priced too and can be done online too where they email you QR code versions of the tickets.
All staff members that we interacted with were friendly, helpful and happy to address any queries we have. Inside the tower itself, it’s very clean, comfortable and cool, which is appreciated during our visit which was the middle of the day during a heatwave.
I wish they were open a bit later and I’m personally willing to pay a bit extra to see Vancouver from above around dusk and during the summer months on a clear day. This would be a good spot too to look at the pretty city lights at night.
I liked the informative plaques at the observation deck and the view of the gorgeous harbor from the observation deck. Definitely a good spot to watch the sunset (depending on the time of the year of course). Well worth your time and money!

The Lookout itself is great. It's at the top of a building with 360 views and is well worth it! The elevator up is glass and faces south so you can see the city as you climb. There are restrooms up top which I did not go into. Plaques are all around that explain what everything is with brief histories on some buildings and landmarks. There are also lots of tables, chairs and benches to sit on but signs that said you couldn't bring food up with you. I didn't see any where that sold food up there which was kind of confusing. I gave 4 stars for the food issue and because I had to walk through a small shopping mall to get to the lookout. The mall lacked signage to point me in the right direction and I got lost trying to find my way. Maybe I just came in the wrong door? The shopping mall had a lot of food stores which would have been great to take up top to eat but nope, not allowed. It's a great view though with lots of information for visitors.

It is a good place to see views of the city. They do NOT answer their phones at all for any types of questions in advance of your visit and the recorded message says they are closed to walk up visitors; so we almost did not go. They also do NOT have any people selling tickets. They only have a self service kiosk to purchase tickets. They do have someone nearby if you need help at the self service kiosk, which we of course did. Once inside, they did let us peek at the very top level with the revolving restaurant. I asked them if they plan on staffing phones or staffing people to sell tickets in the future and they said NO, it will continue to be completely self service. SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS BUSINESS. No wonder there were hardly any visitors there when we were there. What is wrong with their thought process in trying to eliminate employees almost entirely. How can they even hope to stay in business, especially with a recorded phone message that says they are closed. PLEASE WAKE UP BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE FOR THE SURVIVAL OF YOUR ESTABLISHMENT!

Great experience and suprisingly friendly people. Tickets aren't overpriced at all and you can buy them there or ahead of time. Makes no difference. There are staff who direct you before you up who are very friendly and would help with anything. After buying tickets it's a quick elevator ride to the top. It's not as tall as many other observation towers but that doesn't make it any less significant. There are wonderful panoramic views of the city as well as several plaques providing information about landmarks in the city. They also have a self guided audio tour for anyone who may want to do that. I highly recommend you visit while in Vancouver.

Downtown Vancouver is a vibrant area with a lively nightlife centered around Granville Street, featuring bars, clubs, and live music venues like the iconic Commodore Ballroom. During the day, it's a bustling shopping destination with a mix of chain stores and upscale boutiques in CF Pacific Centre mall. The district also offers diverse dining options from food trucks to high-end Japanese restaurants that provide an authentic taste of Japan.
Queen Elizabeth Park, located on a hill, is a popular urban landmark offering various attractions. It features well-maintained gardens, a conservatory with exotic plants and free-flying birds, sculptures, and sports courts including tennis and basketball. The park also boasts panoramic views of the city skyline from its highest point at 550ft above sea level. Visitors can explore the quarry gardens and enjoy sightings of local birdlife such as chickadees, hummingbirds, and bald eagles.
I really didn't know what to expect when I looked up this park and decided to go while I was on vacation. I really wanted to get some nice views of Vancouver and this park completely exceeded my expectations. Not only are the grounds completely beautiful with various gardens and landscapes, but the view of the mountain and city are just unbeatable for this location.
There are several scenic spots for wonderful pictures and there is even a restaurant on site which offers the same gorgeous news. My only caution is that if you are walking from the train station, the walk is very much uphill to the park and significantly so from the bottom of the hill and can be quite strenuous. There is parking and I would certainly recommend that if you have any mobility issues. Really a wonderful spot!

Walked from Downtown and it was worth the walk. The park is a lovely distraction from the City skyscrapers with large green areas, both cultivated and natural, sports fields and views. It's worth the walk just to get a picture of the City with a green border. Free to just walk or you can pay to visit the Conservatory (separate review posted). The gardens near the conservatory are beautifully tended and watch out for the hummingbirds. I love the fact that the mountains distance and direction are marked on the wall to view the City.

Great place to shop at. Almost everything under same roof and in the plaza beside the mall. Great deals, much lower prices than other stores we shopped at. Food court has a great sitting area. Fantastic mall for outlet shops, the food selection was a bit lite but it was great shopping. There are several stores to hire battery powered carts for the kids to help them around the store. Tsawwassen mill is great outlet mall. it's very similar to other outlet malls but it is newer and covered. You can shop on rainy, snowy, cold or hot weather. It's good to try but if you are far away from it, it may not worth it to drive up to there.

This is such a unique and beautiful mall! It contains many art and decorations that represent different types of lifestyle categories: nature, culture, sports, fashion and urban living. The mall corridors are large, clean and sleek, giving it a brand new look. The food court at the centre has a large open dining area with many kinds of cuisine available. You can also come across many stuffy riders going down the corridors, something that isn't found in other malls. You can rent out a stuffy ride machine with your kids to enjoy in the few riding stations in the mall. In busy times, there can be long lineups for universal places like the washrooms. Parking is plentiful and free and there are nearby stores surrounding the mall. The crosswalks at the parking lot are creatively shaped as cultural Indigenous art patterns. Only downside is located far from large cities and is best commuted by car. Otherwise, you may have to take public transit which may mean transfers and longer ride times. This is a great place to stop by after getting off the ferry heading to the mainland. Highly recommend coming here just for the experience.

We visited Tsawwassen Mills on Boxing Day, and indulged ourselves in shopping for what we needed and fancied in an enormous shopping mall, and walked for exactly 10 hours to see most of the shops. I believe you need a good two days to fully experience shopping for everything you need in this shopping mall that’s as big as a small town!
Although the shopping mall offers free Wi-Fi on the premises, if you don’t have access to data, I suggest you remember the neighborhood numbers just so you can find your friends in case you lose them and not walk for 2 km like me to rejoin your friends. I enjoyed the walk, but felt a little anxious, trying to look for the shop

An enormous mall. Bring plenty of electrolytes and energy bars. It’s like Everest, but with no identifiable summit. Yes, there are more outlet stores than you could throw bulk Xanax at. Electric RGB lit stroller carts whiz by like rice at a wedding, while the food court reflects pretty much every form of food found everywhere and anywhere on the planet. You could start in Bass Pro with a full camo outfit, before seamlessly and invisibly exhausting yourself in the mall. The aisles are longer than London Heathrow. At one point I thought they were growing longer as I walked. Yes, this place has it all and more. Time your visit by using Google to avoid peak times. Leave bread crumbs and tell loved ones where you went. It’s a worthwhile thing to have done. EV chargers are sprinkled about the parking lot should you return to your car.

🌦️ Hit up Tsawwassen Mills on a rainy day, and it was the perfect shelter for a day-long adventure! This place has got it all, making it a one-stop destination for shopping, dining, and fun, especially with the kiddos in tow.
🚗 My kids absolutely loved cruising around the mall in the double-seated cars – such a cool way to explore! Plus, the food court's variety had us spoilt for choice, offering something tasty for everyone's palate.
🏰 And let's not forget the inflatable bouncy castles! It's not just a shopping trip; it's a whole day of entertainment, ensuring the little ones (and let's be honest, the adults too) have a blast. Tsawwassen Mills isn't just about the shops; it's about creating memorable experiences.

It is located at the Tsawwassen First Nation Land in Delta, British Columbia. This is a beautifully designed huge mall for shopping or for a relaxing stroll. The mall structure is delicately handcrafted with a magnificent creative art.
The mall has 200 retail outlet stores with discounted products. The food court is spacious but has limited food stalls. However, there are quite a number of restaurants within the mall. Washrooms are spotless and neat. Parking space is not a problem.

5000 Canoe Pass Wy, Tsawwassen, BC V4M 0B3, Canada
Seasonal water park featuring several slides, areas for kids & a main pool, plus a bar & eateries.
Perfect day for any family to enjoy a day in sunny Tsawwassen at an amazing fun waterpark. Entertaining in so many ways. Staff to fun it's perfect. Music is great. Everyone including staff dancing and smiling all day. Great Family fun. Ages 3 and under are free.

The good: staff are nice, especially the bar/restaurant gals, they were singing and having fun and were gracious.. Fairly well run overall. They were out of IPA and white wine, sadly. Was unfortunate that the "adult hot tub" isn't a thing, even though the advertise it.
Quite a bit of water waste on some of the rides, they need to work on that, especially in Aug with water restrictions.
The ferry shuttle is a nice touch though. Lastly, The Cabana thing seems pricey for what you get. Overall, the day was worth it, especially for the kiddos.

The park required lots of changes & renovations, it should be more organized. For all most every water slide you have to wait in queue which is so frustrating. The Lockers are always full and ruined. It is not big as like its name. Apart from the water slide we enjoyed our binge and had fun a lot.

Had an amazing time. It's surely fun place for everyone. It's cheaper to just get a group pass so that you don't have to buy individual tickets for everyone. They have nice pizza too 😁

I would have rated this place 0 if there was a Choice. Extremely busy with too big line ups. You have to pay extra for any extra chair or seating area inside the park. So after paying over $ 200 to experience only 2-3 rides, I was asked to pay for the chair I was sitting and I am not talking about cabana chairs here. Don’t waste your money for this place. You can find something better. Too expensive for the less than average experience.

Absolutely incredible experience at Big Splash Water Slide! The thrills and excitement were beyond compare. From the heart-pounding drops to the exhilarating twists and turns, every moment was a burst of pure joy. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring everyone's safety while still making sure we had an amazing time. The variety of slides catered to all ages, making it a perfect outing for families, friends, or solo adventurers. The stunning views from the top of the slides added an extra layer of awe to the entire experience. If you're seeking an unforgettable water park adventure, Big Splash is the place to be!

Our first time here. Pretty challenging to find parking spot if you get there after they opened but I got lucky to find the last one even a bit far to walk but it was ok. Too expensive to park there I meant about taxes all together like 24% wow but no choice and we're not there often only once this summer so it was ok. Pretty windy that day but sunny , the water were cold everywhere except in the hot tub that perfect temperature so my babies didn't want to go anywhere other than in the hot tub..lol.. anyway they had fun to try kids slide a couple times, hot tub, picnic so we spent all day until they closed. Good to visit once to see it. If the water is not too cold, we will have more fun. A lot of people but clean everywhere. For the tables, my friend told me you have to book and pay for the table so all were fully booked but we had our own and found perfect spot for us
Aom Hildebrand — Google review
The ticket price of $35 is not even worth $20 if you’re here with small kids. There only 2 slides that a 7 year old can play on. And the kiddie pool is way too small and kids get bored easily after 10 minutes.
Like the other people commented, the lineup is CRAZY! If you reserve a patio table then you could get in fast from the door beside the exit. But if not, the lineup to get into the park is very long even before it opens at 11am. And even you get in the park, the lineup is everywhere. We totally lost the interest in staying in the park and leave early.
The pools, slides and hot tub need serious renovation. The floor and water seem so dirty. And the walk way is so narrow and it’s not possible to maintain social distance in this case, I don’t know how they get approval to open under COVID protocols.
Sophie Wu — Google review
Blast from the past -memories of my childhood. We went on the stat Monday after a long weekend and arrived around opening.
Overall give it 4/5 stars - kids are under 8 and they had a blast. Based on the restrictions on a couple of the slides, you want to ensure your kids are at least 48” above to ride every slide (faster tube slides have the restrictions).
First, address some common feedback:
1. Lineups -of course there will be lineups. What do you expect?
They weren’t terrible and things moved quickly. Many lines didn’t go past the first few steps below the slide entrance platforms. The park didn’t seem at capacity and maybe we hit it on the right day!. It seemed busier in the areas with seating- grass, tables etc. with many people are milling about with family, and not riding. Longest lineup was to pay for parking.
2. Water (?dirty). Wasn’t dirty today and keep in mind the areas around the slides are concrete and grass/dirt. Obviously you will track some junk in the water.
3. Outdated facilities - well, they have a point here. Washrooms barely updated (not renovated), and I didn’t see a family/individual washroom. The slides have been decently maintained from the splashdown days. Clean, but not new. Lockers at the front for valuables are a bit pricey (6.50$) and are old/janky, but do the trick I suppose.
Other things
1. Weather -reached 25 degrees when we went but it was a bit breezy and felt a touch colder. If you plan on sitting in the shade, think ahead.
2. Parking- is managed by Big Splash ownership and does not appear to be outsourced. Inefficient method in which they write your car’s plate on a tracking sheet, and you must go back to your car to put up a hanger after you have paid. You can pay the dedicated attendant (hopefully there is more than one by the time you arrive) with the clipboard OR at the front gate if you’re buying tickets that day. Can’t prepay parking.
3. Coolers/food/tent/wagon etc- they didn’t check coolers or backpacks. We brought the kids meals/drinks and also a sun tent. Lots of space on the grass early, but it gets a bit crowded in the main area. Saw a couple of pop up 4 corner large tents out there too.
We didn’t rent a picnic table and there seemed to be a lot of them available/unused-they are off to the side near the tube slides/volleyball courts. Smaller tables in the main pool went quickly.
4. Water shoes- I wore natives on the tube rides and it was not an issue. Saw some people with water shoes.
5. Concession-this isn’t a restaurant and you aren’t here for the food. We walked right up to cashier to order- no waits. Pizza was made fresh (not frozen) surprisingly good for an amusement park.
The chicken strips were from frozen and meh. Fries were the typical thicker frozen food service company type.
Sanjiv Khangura — Google review
I recommend you to come here earlier or later at 3pm. The tickets from the morning is $35(11am -6pm) and evening is $25.
The lockers are full easily. It costs $5 (they charged $15 for a deposit.
There are some restaurants. You can have pizza, fried or ice-cream.
The line up for the slides take 30-40 minutes but it’s fun.
They don’t allow bbq and large tents.
You go to the blue sliders. It takes faster about 10 minutes!
I came here alone from Vancouver. I took a skytrain and dropped at Brigde port station. Then I took bus 601 and took off at Hwy 17. Then i used Uber ($14).
It’s inconvenient for someone who doesn’t have a car.
It’s a free shuttle bus to Twassan Ferry from here as well.

Bad points: Poor cleanliness, disorganization.
- I was the first one in the bathroom, and it was disgusting.
- Lining up to get in was disorganized, and difficult to navigate. Many people thought we were budging in front until they realized they needed stamps to get in, and then they were confused as to where to go. People had to randomly find a person who could check their ticket and give them a stamp. The line-up was not in order, but rather, whoever could get the attention of a worker got their stamps first.
- The hot tubs were mirky with several children. It would be nicer to have one adult only hot tub.
- $40 a day is a bit high in my opinion, especially because there seems to be a high capacity limit, as the line-ups can be painfully long
Good points:
Friendly staff
Several rides to choose from
We went on a Wednesday and the line-ups were not too bad
The fries are good
It was a wow experience with the ferry from Vancouver to Vancouver Island and the return journey back to Vancouver as well. Our to and fro journey were at different timings of the day, so we got to see 2 different ferries. Both the ferries were world class and extremely comfortable. It was a 5-star experience.

It’s always a good idea to reserve the tickets online at least a few weeks early in the busiest time like summer weekend and long weekends. The ferry is mostly clean at the beginning of the journey but get a bit messy at the end.
The view is amazing whenever you travel from and to. Kids love to take ferries and it was such a great experience. The lineup to order fast food on the ferry can be very long if you come late.

The Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal is superb, especially with the updated "little strip mall of choices"! I also love the option of getting fare savers when available. On a sad note, it's really a shame that BC Ferries is experiencing so many challenges with their fleet and staffing over the last few years; seems to me that there was a time when employment with BC Ferries was highly sought after... I honestly believe that they are doing their best to resolve these ongoing challenges - I hope for them the best of the best!

We didn’t have a reservation as we were coming straight from the airport. We decided to just drive-in and luckily, we were early enough for the next sailing, we got a spot! It was $15 less than if I had made a reservation online for the same time. The ferry was clean, it had enough seats for everybody on board and it left on-time. We had fun sight-seeing too. The ride was not boring at all.

We took the BC Ferries two-way to Vancouver Island. Waiting time from the Tsawwassen terminal was good, and the schedule was on time. I loved the gorgeous scenery while sailing. But then coming back from the Swartz Terminal has challenges. The waiting time was 2 hours and the sailing was late by another hour. It was frustrating considering we were very tired from a day’s trip to the island.
Service: The ferry staffs were helpful and friendly. The seats and washrooms are clean.

We went from here to schwarz bay terminal via ferry. The ferry is quite large, has seating space on the deck, and you can enjoy the phenomal view for 2 hours. You can also get coffee and food as there is a dining in the second floor of each ferry. If you wish to travel by car, you can drive your car to the ferry, park it there, and resume your car trip after reaching to the destination terminal.

We had online reservation. Smooth experience, well organized, quick embarking & disembarking. We had car too, I was not sure how much time will it take but it was quite fast.
Ferry was clean and well-maintained too. They also have wifi work stations.

The Tsawassen Ferry Terminal is very well organized and signalled. Cars arriving to the terminal first check in at an over the window manned counter, check reservation that can be directly scanned from a mobile device screen or printed paper, or if no reservation has been made, you can pay directly using cash or credit card. Once you're done, you'll be given a lane number to follow for your ferry. The station can be accessed during the wait for your ferry, a call is made to drivers to get ready for boarding their vehicles on the ferry. The facility offer clean and maintained public washrooms and a number of coffee shops with seating areas are available.

The waits, even if you come early for your time slot, are incredibly long. The ferries get cancelled, but the views from the ferries are pretty amazing, and if you are driving, this is one of the only ways to get to places like Victoria, so I guess I’m glad they exist!

This was our first time taking this ferry. When I was making reservations, only 3:00 and 9:00 PM were available, so I made it for 3:00. Our flight arrived on time, so we arrived at the ferry port at 1:15. We asked about taking the 2:00. He gave us a ticket and told us which numbered lane to wait. Loading went smoothly. Ride was comfortable. Food was surprisingly good (restaurant good). They have a shop, which had nice stuff (clothes were a bit pricey for us). Lots of seating, even desk cubicles for laptops. It was a beautiful day, and it was nice to relax and enjoy the views after 13 hours of traveling.

The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary on Westham Island is a vast wetland reserve, home to over 350 bird species and ranked as one of the top-10 birdwatching sites in Canada. Visitors can explore its marshes and ponds through hiking routes, where they may observe various birds including snow geese during their migration season. The sanctuary also provides an opportunity to spot small birds like the black-capped chickadee when observed slowly.
Wonderful weather today. We came a little late @2pm and did roughly a 2hr round with the kids. We went out beyond the Southwest Marsh towards the Ocean Marshes and saw the snow geese migrating. It was an amazing feeling standing beneath the thousands of geese flying overhead! Elsewhere, lots of little birds, though need to slowly observe. Saw the black-capped chickadee.

Fantastic place for both adults and kids! That is if you don’t have ornithophobia. You will be swarmed by a lot of birds! There are so many different kinds, some are big, some are tiny, some very friendly, and some aggressive. We had so much fun and learned so much. People there were very knowledgeable and guided us through many things about birds and nature.
You need to make a reservation on line to get in and there is small fee for the entry. You also need to respect the rules such as what to feed them and where to feed them.

Be sure to reserve your time slot from their website. Closes at 4pm and on Monday’s. They have a few picnic tables if you want to bring a lunch. Seating areas around the trails. Amazing experience with wildlife. So much fun feeding the animals. No dogs or other animals allowed. Cannot bring your own food to feed animals.

Easily spent 3 hours here and wanted to spend more but forgot to bring food as I foolishly assumed I'd be bored after an hour. Very peaceful trails once you get past the main entrance. Went on a sunny Saturday and it was busy but not terribly so. Will definitely be coming back again to visit in the future!

Great place for the whole family. I would recommend to book the earlier time slots of entry to stay cool and away from the heat. Unfortunately the chickadees were not in town right now but they will be later. Don't hesitate to go when they are and are not there. It's fun for the whole family. Make sure you buy a couple of bags of seeds. It goes fast. There are multiple spots to feed the birds so don't go nuts right away. The chickadees eat different seeds compared to the other birds so make sure you buy those too when they are here.

Tons of adorable ducks (and some geese). A very cute cabin you can take a rest if your legs feel tired or you feel cold in the winter, you can also find a cool old fashion fireplace inside and it’s really warm!

The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary is a must-visit destination for nature lovers, bird enthusiasts, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of the outdoors. To enjoy this paradise, it's important to plan your visit in advance by reserving a parking spot for the morning or afternoon's visit. This has been introduced after COVID-19 and may be here to stay, so it's best to check the website for updates and information.
Once you arrive, you can purchase small packets of seeds for the ducks and chickadees at the entrance with your admission ticket. The feeding stations provide a unique opportunity to interact with the birds up close and personal, and hand-feeding the blackbirds and chickadees is a favorite activity among visitors.
As a photographer, I have spent many hours with my camera in the sanctuary, capturing the beauty of the migratory birds and their natural habitats. The sanctuary is home to a wide variety of bird species, and visitors can witness an incredible array of birds in their natural environment.
The sanctuary is also a great place to catch amazing sunrises and sunsets, providing a stunning backdrop for the birds and natural beauty of the area. You can witness the sky come alive with vibrant colors and watch as the sun sets behind the sanctuary's beautiful landscape.
Overall, the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary is a peaceful and beautiful place that offers a glimpse into the incredible world of migratory birds and provides a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors. With a little bit of planning and preparation, you can fully immerse yourself in this natural paradise, whether you're a bird enthusiast, nature lover, or simply looking for a tranquil escape from the city.

Beautiful Japanese Gardens.
This is a memorial garden.Pre-WW2 there was a substantial community of Japanese-Canadian citizens you were uprooted from their land and transported to the internment camps never to return to the island that they called home...a very beautiful place made by local volenteers. People seem to stroll its well groomed pathways in the same way they would if it were a cemetary, silent, respectful, and have few words to say...words just loose their significance while visiting this peaceful reflection of culture that once had roots there too.

Beautiful place to go year round but especially in the fall and around Christmas when they have holiday lights set up. Anyone who visits Mayne Island or should visit simply to spend a day at the park and gardens. A huge thanks must be given to all the donors and volunteers who made it possible. It is amazing that the community has chosen to honor the Japanese families that so wrongly were forced from their homes and I to camps during WW2. A dark time in Canadian history.

All Aboard!!!! Great rental company for boats and mopeds. We rented a boat to take a tour around Galiano. It’s a small boat 70hp but perfect for sunny days in the gulf islands. We did go up around point into the Salish Sea which the boat could handle but not best to go into if the sea is churning. Fantastic way to see the islands especially if you are a local as it gives one a totally different perspective of what Galiano has to offer and its appearance.

Frank provided detailed recommendations of places to visit on the island for sight seeing and dining. We also stopped by Scoops for the most delicious fish and chips!! Thank you, Frank!

Our tour guide was Christina for Galiano island tour, and she was very patient with us throughout the tour. We are new into kayaking and love the idea of exploring the sea life and sandstones through kayak. Kayaking in the ocean was a bit intimidating for us but with the initial instructions from Christina and realizing with time to be gentle with our movements on the kayak, it was a smooth sailing. Great memories were made, laughters were shared and this is what matters the most.
My only advice to newbies participating in this would be to store your valuables- phones, glasses, car keys, wallet etc, in a floating dry bag or maybe don’t bring it with you.

January is the perfect time to visit if you have a boat with heat. You can always find a spot on the dock, the moorings are vacant, and only the locals are walking the beautiful trails.

Wonderful park with a lot of outdoor activities to enjoy hiking, biking or camping. Has an easy comfortable trail to reach the gorgeous white sandy beach. Enjoyed admiring the amazing views, watching the sailing boats, the serene ocean, and flying birds until sunset. It was a rewarding and relaxing feeling to commune with nature.

Cool little waterfront. Be sure to head to the left and the right of the boat launch… rock formations are pretty wild. Easy access for all.

Such an amazing place to camp or visit while on the Gulf islands. The beachcombing is amazing, rock formations and tons of history. Some car camping spots and walk in sites. Very well kept and great experience for families. The only downside are the pit toilets.

We visited by boat in early August of 2022, anchoring in the bay in front of the marina. Beautiful bay with good holding, though relatively crowded when we visited. It's a short ride in to a small dinghy dock just NW of the Montague Harbor Marina dock to access the island.

Great camping experience. There is a platform where you can place your tent with hooks to secure it.
Quiet, washroom are pit but super clean, with toilet paper and Sanitizer.
Close the lid, after use it as per kind request of the Park, so it stay clean.
There is drinking water, no electricity.
The uphill camping sites are the best. They are close to the trail and the beaches. Although, there is a small catch, in order to access the sites uphill, you have to bring your staff with a baril provided from the park.
There is free parking at the bottom.
To keep the quiet and healthy the Park, vehicles are not allowed up there, but it's totally worthed.
Cheap to rent , also there is a group site with a covered area with picnic tables.
Each site has a picnic table and platform, some sites have 2 platform for 2 tents or morenif your tentbis small. Our tent was big, sleeps 4,
And from the pictures we had a smal walking area in front.
There are no bears in the island, only racoons and bears, the site has also a lock box for your food to save it from the racoons, that visit in the night, but are discreet.
The beaches are white from all the small broken shells. There is a beautiful trail and if you go around early in the morning when there isbthe tide, you can see the marine life, crabs, and starfish. We loved it.

This is our family’s favourite campsite. Historic and beautiful white shell beaches formed from a midden where Indigenous people used to harvest shellfish. Stunning sunsets, diverse choice of campsites, and a lot of nature to explore from ocean, forest, bog to bioluminescence, seals, eagles and more. We’ve been coming here for almost twenty years. A gem on Galiano Island. Don’t worry if you can’t reserve. There is usually room in the field.

Gorgeous setting and terrific pub! If you're sailing there, be sure to arrive earlier in the day. Marina dock space is almost NEVER available, and mooring buoys fill up fast. If full, try the Anchorage on the North side of the lagoon; great sunset spot. If your timing is right, be sure to get up in the middle of the night and swirl a paddle through the water... Montague is a great spot for bioluminescence. If camping is your thing, row ashore to the Parks dock where lots of high-quality walk-in only sites are available. Mooring buoys were $14 per night and campsites $25 when we were there in late July 2023.

Nice boat harbor with park on the north end. Restaurant and bar overlooking the marina was nice. Small convenience store. Friendly local staff. There is no place here to buy beer or wine for the boat, if you're looking for that you need to go to the other side of the island by the ferry dock. Enormous power lines strung across the harbor take a lot away from the view and ambiance. Otherwise a great stopping point on a gulf island cruise.
Ryan Smith — Google review
This is a nice spot for families to enjoy the beach or go for an easy hike around the edge of the bay close to the water. The hike is a loop that ends up back at the parking lot. Some areas allow you to drop down to small beaches along the route.

10/10 the best Harbour Marine Park I’ve ever been to on Galiano Island. Also possibly the only one. The trails are wonderful and relaxed and shady while still providing amazing views of the water. It’s fun to watch sailboats stroll into the bay and weigh anchor. I had a wonderful time on the beach where the beautiful white sand is actually just a million smoothed out sea shells! It’s a beautiful place.

The Salt Spring Saturday Market offers an abundance of seasonal produce and artisanal goods. Visitors can peruse stalls filled with pottery, jewelry, candles, and soap while enjoying food carts serving fresh-made foods such as kale chips. For those looking to sample local libations, there are cider tastings and unique spirits like vodka and moonshine made from honey.
Loved the market so much amazing craftsmanship and selection. Got beautiful candles in tea cups, bath bombs and soap. My gf got kale chips and other fresh made foods. Their was cider and liquor sampling. The vodka and moonshine made of honey was unique bur really good.
Apparently it isn't dog friendly but the signage is not well placed luckily we didn't get a ticket. The pet store up the street has the option to crate your pet for a few hours if you need.

A definite must do when visiting Salt Spring Island. It is one of the best markets that we've been to. They have a big selection and a plethora of stands.
It's a very lively environment and always nice to see little entrepreneurs as well.
I highly recommend that you do your best to visit on the weekend, so that you don't miss this market on Saturday.
Be sure to get there early in order to have the beat selection.

Market was amazing! All the vendors are amazing to talk to. Gardeners Dream Cream is the best product i have ever used and to meet the creator was great. She is such an amazing person. I will come back to the market often specifically for that one product.
Sunny Lalli — Google review
They don’t enforce the dog rule, which is frustrating when I go out of my way to make arrangements for care for my dog and then go to the market and there are a tonne of dogs there.
Went for open, 0900 because I had arranged dog care and vendors were still starting to set up. Limited produce and food vendor stalls to shop from. Lots of jewelry and crafts.
Michelle Chan — Google review
Worth visiting!! It’s little crowded and finding a parking nearby is a pain so try and go as early as you can!!
When we visited, there was an option for doggy day care! They had a fenced section sort of setting where you could leave your dog for 20 dollar an hour! I think it was great and it allowed us sometime to explore the market.
Dogs aren’t allowed in the market… although we saw a lot of people walking with the dogs!

We make an annual trip to Salt Spring Island, and always enjoy going to the market. Many of the folks who sell stuff here are really talented, but we haven't bought anything in a couple of years because it seems to be the same stuff every year. If you've never been, check it out (and be prepared for high prices). If you have been before, you don't need to go again.
Trevor Penner — Google review
There are 2 farmers markets in Ganges. Tuesday is totally food/produce oriented. Saturday is 70% arts/crafts/clothing and 30% produce/baked items/sauces/etc. Saturday's is well attended for sure, so arriving soon after the 9am opening is advisable for the best produce and breads. Even if you buy nothing, it is still a stimulating and interesting experience. We've gone many times and hope to go many more.
Ken Newkirk — Google review
We had lots of fun walking around the Saturday market when we visited salt spring. Most places have samples to try before you buy. Make sure you are prepared with cash as some places do not accept card or touch payments. Make sure to try the locally made ciders and the goods from the distillery.

Great market to check out! If you’re looking to get something for cheap, you won’t find it here though. There are Tons of interesting quality items to buy from locals. They put so much time and love into their products and the prices do reflect that. Fun way to spend your Saturday
Jaimie Boomer — Google review
The market is, in a word, awesome! They have more vendors than ever selling everything from pies to goats milk soap, clothes, to ceramics, and beyond. There's also entertainment: talented kids playing instruments or selling crafts, bluegrass bands, etc.etc.
Go early for best selection and to (somewhat) avoid the crowds. But go...it's sooo fun!!
Jayne — Google review
I was a little disappointed in the Saturday Market on Salt Spring. There were lots of vendors but few stood out as really interesting or unique. There were some beautiful pottery pieces and a couple jewelry vendors that stood out. Maybe my expectations were too high since the island is renowned for its artist community it overall it was a typical farmers market. The food options also weren’t particularly appealing
Lindsey Williamson Christy — Google review
Such a great time. Decently sized market with a good variety of stands, including produce, locally crafted soaps, baked goods, clothing, and a variety of art. Even if you don't buy anything (but you very likely will), it's a nice way to spend your Saturday morning. You're right in the centre of Ganges so you can explore the waterfront or other shops when you're done. Dogs unfortunately aren't allowed but we snuck our little one into a handbag and nobody seemed to mind.

Great variety the arts, food, and people. Hadn't been on Salt Spring Island for over 20 years. Still the same great experience. Definitely recommend for a day trip, away from the hustle & bustle. Found meself, some beautiful local art to take home with me.

Cute little market with lots of different vendors selling food, jewelry, cider, kitchenware, crystals, etc! Pretty crowded because it's a Saturday, but still enjoyable. The market is next to many popular restaurants and in walking distance to all the popular stores in Ganges. Parking could be improved but we found a spot pretty easily on a side street. I did feel a little bad about crowding the neighborhoods though.

Mount Maxwell Provincial Park is a nature reserve featuring old-growth Douglas fir, salmon-bearing creeks, and stunning island views from Baynes Peak. The park offers multiple hiking trails with varying levels of difficulty, including the Mount Maxwell lookout which provides an amazing panoramic view. However, caution should be taken when driving up as 4x4 vehicles are preferred and challenging weather conditions should be avoided. Overall, the park offers an unforgettable hiking experience amidst breathtaking natural beauty.
Best hike ever - requires a 4x4 to get up but there are multiple trails with different difficulties. Beautiful view.
M M — Google review
The views at the top are absolutely stunning, absolutely worth the time, but you'll likely have to hike up now, the road up has been deteriorating for years now, and has been rendered impassable for anything less than a 4x4
Cole Williams — Google review
My civic went up. Would not go when nearing dark times or rainy/ snowy weather though. Well worth it though. Best view I've seen. Comparable to the hikes I've been on, but still like this more.
Chris Valladolid — Google review
Usually hike up but drove this time. The road is still in really bad shape from erosion. 4x4 and high clearance recommended. Had AWD but needed to park and hike up the last 2-3 km. Worth going up for the views from multiple directions.

The mount Maxwell lookout has an amazing view but be extra careful on the way up. Vehicles equipped with 4x4 engines are preferred. Don’t go if the weather is challenging.
Ricardo de Oliveira — Google review
It’s one of the most beautiful view points I have ever seen. The road is hard on lower cars. I would suggest only 4 wheel drive and drive carefully buffer it worth going !

Rough road to reach the top, not advisable for cars or low vehicles but any truck or SUV/CUV will be fine. Amazing views from the top, several benches for enjoying the view and some picnic tables around.

Mount Maxwell is a must see to get the complete Salt Spring experience. Very beautiful forests and views. You need a vehicle with clearance because the last 5 kms of road is “rugged”

Epic View's and rest areas once you've reach the Lookout ❣️ this is one of the best Lookouts I've been to in awhile 😲 You can hike up or bike , even 4X your way up. The drive up is awesome, you'll come across a bump or two 😁❤️
Then you get to the views 🤯 wow
This is a must do💯🔥❤️❣️👍🏽
So Beautiful ❤️🔥💯

The road to the top of the mountain is very rough. You cannot get to the top unless you have a 4 wheel drive and good ground clearance or walk.
The area is beautiful. There is a restroom at the top of the mountain by the parking area. There is a large picnic table at the top of the mountain and several benches at to look out.

The road up is in terrible condition def follow the warning signs about 4x4. Dont go if you don't want to maybe wreck your car or are experienced. Nice views!
Krystle Middle — Google review
So fun! It was snowing when I went. The roads and forests were covered in a blanket of white! Magic! My 4x4 and I loved the last bit of rough rugged road. The view from the top is usually breathtaking but alas it was foggy. Beautiful still just different. There are picnic tables so you can enjoy the area at your leisure. A must-see! I'll be back for sure.

Nice ocean front park, it’s a rocky beach, no sand, but there’s lots to see. You can find tiny crabs under the rocks, mussels and oysters are all over the place as well. The most amazing thing has to be the rocks, there’s some cool looking hollow rocks which I assume was carved out by the ocean for hundreds if not thousands of years. Anyway, great place to visit!

With a scarcity of visitors, this destination showcases the marvels of the natural world, a true masterpiece crafted by the forces of nature itself. Here, one can bask in the beauty of the undulating ocean waves and marvel at the intricate caves that have been meticulously carved over time by the relentless ebb and flow of the sea. The serenity of the surroundings, coupled with the raw power of the elements, creates a harmonious symphony of sights and sensations that captivate the soul and invite a deep appreciation for the wonders of the natural world.

Great park with good amenities: trails, outhouses, some benches to sit on and enjoy the view. Rope swings, forested trails, sunny bluffs looking out over sandstone beaches, deeply cut bays for swimming and a view to Valdes island and the fast moving channel where whales play and seals hunt. Tide pools, driftwood, herons, geese, and some sandy patches as well. We'll worth packing a lunch and staying for a while!
nova hanen — Google review
There is a lovely little trail through Garry Oaks, Arbutus, and Douglas Fir that follows the shoreline or you can walk down the shore if the tide is out earlier in the day. There are multiple picnic tables available for use. The water is clear and very swimmable though we didn't have our swim suits handy..oh darn.

The definitive Gabriola experience with its sculpted sandstone, views out to the Strait, and the tides surging through Gabriola passage.

I liked the park very much. There are two small trails through the forest which you can walk in about 30 minutes. You also have a good view of the Gabriola Passage, and with a little luck, you can even see whales.
Otters are also very common.
This very interesting seaside village of Cowichan Bay presents a marine focused structure that was very inviting to wander through with amazement..there was a wide variety of boats situated along the walkable pier and wharf..the entire area is full of adventure and natural beauty and open to strolling investigation..the tourist information centre provides information on what to see and visit…the Cowichan Bay Boat Society operates the community based maritime museum…

This Maritime Centre can be found on Cowichan Bay Road, serving as a community hub for various courses & merchandise. In case you’re curious, here are some sample questions that you might find helpful.
Q - What maritime tales would they disclose if historic exhibits & buildings could talk?
Q - What do media accounts reveal about maritime conditions?
Due to rapidly changing ocean currents, the fluctuating ocean conditions can be challenging for even the most experienced maritime workers, including fishers.
Unfortunately, in 2020, two men lost their lives when their boat, the Arctic Fox 11, sank under harsh maritime conditions. The term: "maritime" is often associated with the ocean and can relate to business or defence matters. Brendan Strain's article, "Cowichan Bay Mourns Loss of 2 Men Aboard Sunken Fishing Boat," detailed this tragic event.
In 2019 Robert Barron of the Vancouver Island Free Daily wrote about a business in Cowichan Bay that needed to retrieve un-personed boats that seemed to have come adrift in stormy conditions on January 3, 2019. Sometimes people fall off vessels, and they could experience, for example, exposure and hypothermia.
In 2017, the Editor from CTV Vancouver Island wrote in an article about a “Five-year-old forced to hit kill switch after 3 thrown from boat in Cowichan Bay” reported that two adults and a child fell into the water while retrieving a crab pot. Still, thankfully a proprietor of an eco-tour vessel assisted and guided a five-year-old child who had remained on the boat to engage the kill switch.
Smaller boats such as kayaks, canoes, and pleasure or commercial vessels often need more equipment for navigation and retrieval, making them vulnerable to harsh and changeable conditions. Being well-trained, experienced, cautious and equipped with a well-stocked survival kit in an emergency is often essential.

What a great place to spend some time. Mel and her team mate, are wonderful people. They are loaded with useful information with regards to the museum. Also, I'm sure they are loaded with info about what there is to see in Cow Bay. Come to the Classic Boat Festival this July 6th, and 7th. Loads of fun.

What a great experience it was to tour the Cowichan Maritime Museum. We met some of the members who graciously answered our questions and shared their valuable experience with us. I was interested in wooden boats, and there were at least ten different types on display, some vintage restored boats and some new/under construction models. Want to know how to build your own lapstrafe wood boat, they can teach you. Don't forget to buy a ticket to win a fantastic hand built boat.

Infinerdy — Google review
OK, you have to be a maritime nut to appreciate it solely for its material, but what I loved about it is that it is all done by volunteer locals. People put years of work into some of the model ships.t together.
They had a huge display of outboard motors. What is really interesting to me is people got together and assembled all of this. What as sense of Community! You'll find many things here to love.

The Pacific Northwest Raptors is a sanctuary for endangered birds of prey on Vancouver Island. Skilled scientists and falconers have created a safe haven where these intelligent creatures can fly freely but still have a permanent home to return to. Visitors are treated to the sights and sounds of hawks and eagles, which are easily recognizable in the vast open skies. The sanctuary offers an educational experience with opportunities to learn about these magnificent birds, their habitats, behavior and conservation efforts.
Highly recommend! As many have commented, upgrading your admission to either ‘closer’ or ‘closest’ is well worth it. The flying demonstration provided to all admissions was excellent, informative and helped increase the connection to these incredible raptors. The team here is excellent and very knowledgeable.
James Murray — Google review
We had great time at this venue and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. We watch the bird demonstration where 4 type of birds showed up (bald eagle, peregrine falcon, turkey vulture and a kind of hawk). The visit only lasts for about an hour but we loved learning more about these birds and watching the show. It’s a great place to drop by with kids if you’re visiting Duncan.
Sophie Wu — Google review
An absolutely wonderful experience for the whole family. Like many other reviewers we found the staff very friendly knowledgeable and helpful. The basic entry includes a visit to all of the cages / exhibits which homes the birds. As a photographer I found these interesting but not conducive to great photos. The flying exhibit is extremely well done and highly informative. The staff really know how to engage the audience and have Birds fly over the audience offering fun and insight at the same time.
The next level up is the Closer experience. Here you are taken to a private area given a glove and one of the Raptors then flies to your hand and eats the treats provided. This happens two or three times per person so for the whole group to have this experience usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes. While it is pretty much a quick and fleeting experience for each Landing it is fun.
The Closest experience I found much more valuable and worthwhile. We were lucky it was not too busy and everyone in her party along with others who had similar tickets was each given the opportunity to hold several birds for several minutes each. This lets you see the birds close up have your photo taken with the birds by your friends and family and ask questions of the Handler to learn more about the individual birds you are holding. As a photographer I also got the opportunity to shoot several Birds close up while my wife and friends were holding them. Overall and excellent day. Highly recommended

This is a place we would go back to repeatedly. We paid for 3/5 of us to do the Closest Encounter and it was well worth the money!! The hawk flying in onto my arm left me speechless. Very educational place as well. The birds are free to go at certain times of day but almost always come back (I believe they said 1 hasn't).

One of the best things I have done on the Island. Beautiful creatures being very well looked after! Staff are friendly and well informed. You can hold, fly and feed the birds! The flying demo is fantastic. Huge eagle flying inches over your head.

You have to go and see these majestic birds. We chose "closer" and got to see a Harris Hawk "Lulu" land on our gloved hands. It was unbelievable. We stayed for the 230 showing and they had hawks, vultures, owls, and falcons flying in and around the crowd. Also learned a lot and have a new appreciation for these awesome creatures. Seriously fun. You should go.

Without exaggeration this was one of the coolest things I have experienced in my life. I paid for the Closest Encounter and cannot recommend it enough. You get to meet and hold 3 birds of prey while learning about them and having a handler explain cool facts about the birds, and the work they do at the centre. Then you go for a forest walk and have a hawk land on your hand. Truly incredible.
The flying demonstration was also very cool and got to see owls, eagles, hawks and falcons up close. There are lots of other birds to check out as well around the centre in their enclosures, including some vultures and my favourite troublemaker Kyle the Raven.
The staff was also great and engaged, interactive, and very knowledgeable and kind.
If you are at all interested in birds of prey, definitely check this out. I won’t ever forget this, learned so much, and look forward for future encounters!!

Let me start off by saying I have a huge fear of birds but I love animals so when my husband told me we were visiting here, I was a bit nervous. Visiting here has definitely changed my fear of birds. The flight presentation was incredible. It was very informative, educating and immersive. They tell you all about the birds, what they do, why the birds are there and more. We also went on the Closest (I think that’s what it was called) experience and it was something out of a fairy tale. Being up close and personal with the raptors was an incredible experience. They are so sweet and loving. The staff are also incredible! The animals there are so loved and very well taken care of. If you get the chance to visit, please do. You won’t regret it.

We packed a lunch and sat under one of the picnic shelters and waited for the flight demonstrations. It was awesome to learn about all of the different raptors. There were lots of volunteers out and about with different birds, you can go up and ask questions and learn. It was a Very cool and interactive experience.

I had the most amazing experience at the Raptor Center! This center is truly a must-visit for anyone who loves birds of prey. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, answering all of my questions and making sure I had the best experience possible.
The highlight of my visit was meeting the hawks, falcons, eagles, owls and vultures up close. I was able to see these magnificent birds in their natural habitat, and learn about their unique behaviors and characteristics. The staff even gave a few of these birds the chance to fly for us, and it was incredibly exhilarating to see them soaring through the air.
But what really sets the Raptor Center apart is their dedication to education and conservation. They are doing important work to ensure that these beautiful birds thrive in the wild for generations to come. Their passion and commitment are truly inspiring.
Overall, I cannot recommend the Raptor Center enough. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, this is the place to go. This center deserves a solid 5 stars for their exceptional work and commitment to education and conservation.

A smaller facility that punches well above its weight; if you're a fan of birds of prey (or even birds in general), you're going to have a great time. Great place where you can get really close to some of those beautiful raptors. Interesting flying demonstration with lots of information. Had a great day walking around the park and on the suspension bridge 🌉. Thank goodness it wasn't too high up, felt a bout of vertigo coming on in the middle of it due to the bouncing and rocking. Lots of trails to choose from too. Not too sure how big the park itself is but we will be coming back to complete more of them. There is a nice swimming area but remember that there isn't a lifeguard on duty so keep a watchful eye on the little ones. Enjoyed the drive up and the walking around getting in some needed exercise and some fresh air.

Bright Angel is a great park that is off the beaten path for most people. It has easy hiking paths, creek, playground and suspension bridge. It is a place to bring a lunch and do some forest bathing.

Bright Angel Park is a delightful destination for a day trip, offering a blend of adventure, tranquility, and natural splendor. The park's main attraction is its stunning suspension bridge, which spans a scenic river, providing breathtaking views and a sense of adventure.

A little off the beaten track, well known to the locals that live in the area, have walked there many times with and without our dog.
Paths generally quite easy to navigate not sure how it would work out with a wheelchair but certainly accessible with a baby stroller etc.

Beautiful Park with a suspension bridge. Great place to visit during any season. The park underwent a considerable upgrade a few years back and has made it more accessible. There's a playground, a river for swimming, trails, washrooms, a covered area, and, of course, the suspension bridge, giving fantastic views of the Koksilah River.

Beautiful flat short hiking trail. Great for dogs and a cool suspension bridge. Trails follow the river and little rocky beach area.
Quaint residential island accessible only by boat, with beaches & small wooded parks.
Protection Island is the perfect paradise. Always something to see and do. The best place to live!

My daughter is and I went to Protection
Island last Sunday and it was so much fun. Both of us took lots of pictures and we we're hiking up there for a couple hours, all of the names of the streets are named after pirates and all of the people who live there own a tiny litte car that looks like the one people drive at golf courses.
Debbie Boudreau — Google review
The most amazing beaches and ocean views! There are cars on the island, don't believe the articles on the internet lol. The lack of traffic was wonderful though. I saw two golf carts (the more common mode of transportation) in a row and asked them if it's rush hour ;). The walk around the entire island takes about 2 hours.

First time out to this lovely Island. I should have gone sooner! Endless beautiful beaches, nature trails, and open fields. Lots of deer, racoons, squirrels, and sea birds everywhere. The rock formations on the beach are incredible! It's about an 8 km hike around, so pack a lunch, or grab something from the cozy little cafe at the campsite area right near the dock. There's trail maps along the way, and trails that go through the middle of the island, to make your hike shorter. The ferry ride to the island is about 10 minutes, from Maffeo Sutton Park, downtown Nanaimo. It's walk-on only. $15 per person. Well worth it! Looking forward to going over to this beautiful nature island again!

We love taking the ferry over and spending the day exploring. We brought friends over this time with our dogs and it is now a new place for them to frequent. There is lots of parking close to where the ferry leaves.
We hiked along the trails which were well groomed and signed. There’s a couple of areas that are hard to locate such as the mine shaft etc. which could have better signage as you are going along.
Lots of great views, wildlife and sea life to enjoy!
Staff are all super friendly and there are lots of toilet facilities (outhouse) throughout the park. There is a small store/food area that sells shirts, ice cream etc.
The fairy runs quite often in the summer, every half hour and takes up to 40 passengers. Later at night and during the off-season they sometimes run the smaller boat with only takes approximately 12.
On low tide you can walk over to Protection Island and go for a bite to eat at the local pub.

Kayaked around the island with Island Romer. Fantastic day. The sandstone formations are very interesting. Also saw a river otter eating a crab... quite a rare thing to see in the wild.

We love the park. Could we please clean the showers. We visited twice in two weeks and the showers had not been cleaned in between. The women's shower was down to one and was still that way 2 weeks later.

Fantastic location to easily spend a whole day. Great views all around and so much wildlife. Come for a picknick, bike ride or anything you like by riding the ferry over (yes, you can bring your bike in board). Or even better, rent them from Jeff's Rentals on the island as he is an amazing person and the rates are very affordable. Paddle over to the dinghy dock pub for a bite to eat and a drink. You can even camp on this island. It's perfect.

Place is amazing!!! a Nanaimo hidden gem didn't know this place existed coming out there, was suggested to me staying at the Vancouver island residences went and checked it out for a day hike learned there was camping and came back and stayed for 5 days, it was during the week and the island was pretty empty, was tranquil, there was deer everywhere and they were pretty fearless they'd walk right through the campsites (raccoons in daylight too!) walking through the forest you felt like an ant walking through the grass most of the trees are enormous , had the beach to myself, saw purple starfish, the staff were great, and the burgers from the concession were pretty good. Plan to come back!!

Great place to go for a hike or kayak maybe both!!! lots of wildlife and great views! Be sure to give yourself lots of time to explore the whole island and if you plan to camp you'll want to make sure you secure a spot as they fill up fast. Bring lots of water and snacks and don't share with the racoons no matter how cute they seem.

BC Ferries Departure Bay Terminal

Clean and fairly comfortable terminal. The day time ride had some great views. The night cruise was less exciting since the windows were mostly blocked and the outside viewing roped off. The night cruise was delayed and not sure why. Would be nice if information was a little more transparent but these things happen.
Aaron Prohaska — Google review
The terminal is very organized with shopping center (food, clothes, ice cream and more) and little playground for children. The ferry has restaurant and nice kids zone. The reason i gave 4 stars is that they don't have enough sailing and the gap between the sailing is too long. Also I don't understand why it's not possible to order all the tickets in advance and you have to order in place as part of a waiting list.

Great staff on board. Good food, comfortable ride. Very relaxing trip and love being out on the water. Get there early if you don't have a reservation.

As Ontario residents, this was our first time traveling to Vancouver Island so we weren't sure what to expect. Great experience. Minutes from downtown Vancouver. It was well organized and simple to board by car. Well maintained and clean facilities. Excellent breakfast available onboard. Comfortable, spacious seating. Departure Bay Terminal had a very nice market if you arrive to the terminal early. Food, shops and washrooms are available there.

Maybe this is the nostalgia talking but I really do enjoy this terminal. It does cater to people who travelling by bicycle and foot. It has been around for years so the infrastructure and updates do show that.
Funny thing is, I had an epiphany of becoming a car free life when I was there to pick up a friend.

Plenty of chairs available in departure area, nice and clean washroom available, snaks machine available.

We again opted to drive-in to the terminal and buy our ticket there, rather than online reservation. Not only was it $15 less expensive but we were not stressed out to be at the terminal at a certain time. I guess this is possible because we still do arrive early enough for the next sailing.

This ferry port looks much better than the one in Vancouver. Better maintained, more staff on deck, cleaner look. The ferry boat itself was very clean.

Well operated ferry and terminal - efficient, quick and clean with ample amount of seating. Still amazes me how many cars can fit on this ferry and how smooth the overall process is.

I like this Ferry terminal. One of the best in my opinion. Many good options for food and drinks.

The staff were friendly and nice although they could use a spot for where u can bring your emotional support animal to pee when they gotta go, yes I let my shitzu out to pee before we got on but she has a tiny bladder and i couldn't find anywhere to let her go pee so I had to make her a diaper our of her pee pads till we got off.

I have traveled BC Ferries for 54 years! I have no complaints so far! As the numbers of passenger use grows, I think our terminals need to grow, especially Tsawwassen. If the employees can't get to the terminal to work then that's a problem.
I think it would be nice to have "nap" loungers in a quiet zone on the ferry for those, foot passengers, who don't have a car to go "nap" in.
The service is always good and you need to get there at least an hour before your sailing! It's always clean on the ferry and the staff friendly and helpful.
The ticket agent was so friendly and patient. I had booked my reservation wrong and she happily corrected it all.
I really like the cafeteria has healthy options in the coolers, salads, fish, Oat milk, etc.
Wish there was an Adult quiet area, where the seats reclined and the lights were dim and no children allowed.

A great place to catch a ferry to the mainland. Shops, cafes and a big, interesting play area for kids make your wait times pass quickly. Nice areas to walk your pets as well, and great views over the busy waterways full-on sailboats and seaplanes.

Great clean pleasant terminal. Had a two hr wait and time flew by between the little shops and cafes and spacious outdoor area to wander with playground it seems to have something for the whole family.
Westwood Lake Park is a picturesque recreational area offering wheelchair-accessible fishing float and swimming spots. The park boasts a 5.51-km trail that encircles the refreshing and warm lake, along with a playground for children to enjoy. The lake features a dock and sectioned off swimming area for kids' safety. Additionally, this park has an excellent trail for dog walking, two parking areas available, and stunning scenery all around.
Beautiful scenic walk. The park is so lovely. I am only confused with the loop though.
Great beach area.
Also, have great trail for walking dog.
It has two parking area from what I saw.

One of my favourite places in the area. This is a nice little, but not so little man made lakes. If you have young kids, or if you’re a big kid with small kids :-) and you want to relax while hey play in the water, this is the perfect location. Family friendly, beach waterfront is shallow for a decent distance.
Want to go for a hike? There’s a wonderful hike around the lake that can be done with kids, it’s approx 5km long and worth doing it.
Enjoy!

Really, really enjoyed my walk around the lake!!! Helped my cousin with pushing the pram, which I think would be an effort if you were alone. But I thoroughly enjoyed!

Great Beach, plenty of parking and a really nice boat launch area.
Watch for big pokey sticks along the shore lines if using an inflatable watercraft.

Anytime the sky is blue and my once partner always said “ its always sunny in Nanaimo” , a great walk to get out on , all 4.5 kms … Just do it ‼️

The lake is refreshing and warm, with a nice dock and sectioned off area for the kids to swim. We had been here several times for a quick dip in the summer, as we live less than 10 minutes away, but only recently did I actually do the Westwood Lake trail (an easy 6km loop around the entire lake) and can't understand why it took me so long to do it! Absolutely gorgeous walk, with not many people on the trail, and well maintained. Will be doing this trail several more times in the near future!

It's a really beautiful lake and our kids absolutely love to swim, and play on the playground. The trail around the lake is also fantastic to hike around.

Absolutely beautiful location. You can walk around the lake, it's about 6km. There is a largish carpark next to a toilet block with changing areas. I would definitely recommend this lake.

Nothing compares to the shear awesomeness of this park. Incredible scenery, bike trails, and a great place to bring your doggy( on leash)
William Tolway — Google review
I recommend the second beach if you’re swimming or going from the rock wall that’s on the left as soon as you enter the park. Please keep your dog on a leash, we’ve seen attacks happen from this. There’s a playground at the second beach, theres also picnic tables and a small playground. Nice hiking trails. Downsides are it is always busy, and the new parking lot can be a bit of a pain.

So the loop around the lake is about 6.5 kms. It is a Bit easier going right at the beginning when you are facing the lake. A moderately easy walk, although a fair distance. Look out for roots on the trail. When you get within half a km to the finish you will have the choice of going up to a cliff for the view on my photo, or walking around that hill. I'm 72 and Iade it up, breathing a bit hard, but thst was expected. If you began the other direction the viewpoint comes up quickly and you have more energy to climb it. Washrooms, beach, drinking water beach all there. Obviously kis and pet friendly.

Beautiful spot for swim and also a great trail around the lake

An awesome 6 km trail surrounds the lake. An offshoot trail heads to nearby Morrell Sanctuary which is also worth a visit. There is trail access to the summit of Mount Benson. That one is a very hard hike though.
